It’s the Halloween Havoc Countdown Show!
Join Megan Morant & Sam Roberts in discussing, analyzing and predicting all the action on this hauntingly historic night!
Backstage interview with Oba Femi.
Sarah Schreiber is with The Ruler, and notes how Oba tied Tony D’Angelo to the ropes to make him watch as Oba then viciously took out Luca Crusifino & Channing Lorenzo. Oba says Tony got what he had coming. Oba said Tony’s family would not be by his side tonight, and he delivered on his promise, didn’t he? Now look at the so-called Don of NXT, reduced to a helpless man. That is exactly what Tony will be tonight. You thought Oba was dangerous before, but now see how dangerous he will be with tables, ladders and chairs! Luca & Stacks got a taste of it, and Oba isn’t worried about them. Oba is not worried about The family, or about breaking Tony.
The only thing Oba is worried about is winning back the North American championship that was “stolen” from him! And there is not a damn thing The Don can do about it! The Ruler heads out, will he take back the throne? Or will Tony show how dangerous he can be with everything at his disposal?
Sit-down interview with Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer.
The NXT reporter says that while they both have had decorated careers before WWE, this is their first Premium Live Event. What makes this moment different? Giulia says in Japanese, then in English, that this is a dream come true, it is what they’ve worked so hard for. Vaquer adds in Spanish that this has been years in the making. Giulia says the wrestling culture in Japan is very different. But when you see the bright lights and marquees in WWE, you wonder, “How can I make a name there? What’s it going to take?” Vaquer says it’d take “conquering the world,” and that’s what they did.
In Chile, wrestling isn’t professional like in the US. So she left everything she knew for a chance at this. And now they’re both here in NXT, and on Halloween Havoc. Giulia says she’s not here without her match against Stephanie. They bring out the best in each other, whether as opponents or as teammates. They will show everyone that.
The reporter than asks that with the goal being the NXT Women’s Championship, how does Giulia plan on getting through Roxanne & Cora tonight? Giulia admits, Roxie & Cora built this new era of NXT. They are the flagbearers, the frontrunners, the two you think about when talking about the NXT Women’s Division today. When Giulia was watching NXT from Japan, Giulia knew Roxie was gonna be her greatest challenge. And now with Cora backing her up, Roxie’s an even bigger threat. But those two have only gotten a small taste of the Beautiful Madness. And Giulia can tell, “they don’t like the flavor.”
Cora & Roxie wanna tear down the reputation Giulia dedicated her life to building, in Japan and around the world. But Giulia will not stop, she will only grow stronger. That is why this match is important to her. The reporter also asks Vaquer about her NXT Women’s Championship aspirations. After all, Vaquer did say that she was gonna face whoever won between Giulia and Roxie at No Mercy. Vaquer says she has held many titles, but that NXT Women’s Championship means you are the best woman in the best women’s division in the world. That is what Vaquer wants, it is what she will get, and she’ll smash Cora, Roxie, or anyone else, to get there.
Now, Vaquer knows what everyone is thinking. What does that mean for the team? Giulia & Vaquer have been opponents before, there is respect here. That is why tonight, they stand side by side. Will they fight each other again? More than likely. But first is Halloween Havoc, and first up are their common enemies in Roxie & Cora. Once Giulia & Vaquer win tonight, it will be every woman for herself to get that NXT Women’s Championship. Giulia then tells Cora & Roxie, “See you at Halloween Havoc. Arrivederci.” These international superstars are ready for their dream match, but will clashing championship dreams turn things into a nightmare?
Dave LaGreca & Bubba Ray Dudley are in the crowd!
They admire pictures Dave got with Mr. & Mrs. Hershey, but then Bubba points out they’re live. Dave welcomes us to the Busted Open- NO, this isn’t their show, Busted Open Radio. They’re live at Halloween Havoc! The fans are fired up, too, and Dave wants to get into it. Who does Bubba have winning? Oba VS Tony, Tony got over his fears to be North American Champion, but now all bets are off. Tables, Ladders & Scares, OH MY~! Bubba gets the fans to chant that, and he says that just like he said for BOR, Oba VS Tony at No Mercy tore the house down! Tony is the NEW North American Champion, so he and Oba are gonna take it next level!
The fans are fired up for that, and Bully says Tony has the edge because he’s been in matches like this before. Dave isn’t sure about a back-to-back win over Oba, but we’ll see. Then to the women’s tag match. Roxie is practically the Face that Runs the Place, and Cora is back, they’re besties again, taking on Giulia & Vaquer. Bubba says these four kinda remind him of the NXT Four Horsewomen. Boo this all you want, but that’s how he feels. These four get it done, he cannot wait to see what Giulia & Vaquer have in store for Roxie & Cora. Dave agrees, and he sends it back to Sam & Meg in Stanford Studios.
Sam can’t believe how happy Bubba is to be at a distance from Tables, Ladders & Chairs. He’s done those enough, surely. Meg likes the bold comparison of the Four Horsewomen. Sam says hey, Bubba has the stats to back up bold claims, and he’s not far off on this one. Will we see Roxie, Cora, Giulia & Vaquer establish themselves as the new pillars of NXT?
Ava Raine is with Kelani Jordan and The Fatal Influence.
The NXT General Manager is with the NXT Women’s Champion, as well as Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx. Ava says Kelani will defend her title against one of the Influencers, so it is time to reveal who it is and what their stipulation for tonight will be. Because it happened Tuesday night that the Influence spun the wheel, and it landed on Spinner’s Choice. Jazmyn says yeah, but Zaria ruined their moment! The Fatal Influence deserves- Kelani speaks up to demand who she is facing and what they’re doing. Jacy says, “Excuse me, champ! I know you’re nervous, but you can cut the attitude.”
Kelani says Jacy can keep talking, and Kelani will drop her right now. Fallon steps up to say SHE is challenging Kelani. Ava says good, so then what is her stipulation? Fallon plays around, saying, “Let’s see, let’s see… Well, I don’t see it up here, but we did land on Spinner’s Choice, which means we can do whatever we want, right?” Ava says yeah, sure. Then the Influence has decided it will be… a GAUNTLET match! The fans are torn, but Fallon says that means if Kelani can get past Jazmyn, she’ll face Jacy. And if she gets past Jacy, she faces Fallon. See you out there, champ! Kelani now has three opponents instead of one, but she’s game.
Will the Standout prove no one does it like Lani when she takes down the entire Fatal Influence in one night? Or is this the one time it’s not good to be one of a kind?
Sit-down interview with Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade.
Sarah Schreiber sits down with the reunited bully besties and says they have had a long history. They were best friends as tag team champions, until Cora turn- Cora & Roxie stop her there. Why does she even have to bring that up? This is Sarah’s problem. This is everyone’s problem! They all want to live in the past when they should focus on the now. Roxie & Cora are two completely different people since their friendship first broke up. Which is a very big problem for Stephanie & Giulia. Cora isn’t focused on the title, but on reminding everyone why you never count Cora out. And Roxie says she has every intention of helping Cora do that.
Then with them on the same page now, a lot of people are saying Giulia & Vaquer are a dream team. Is this a dream match for Roxie & Cora? Roxie & Cora laugh, and Cora says she gets it. She’s not an idiot. Stephanie, Giulia, they’ve been all over the world. Japan, Mexico, everywhere! But Cora & Roxie have been here, helping build the strongest women’s division in the world. And for some reason, everyone forgets that Stephanie beat Giulia for Stephanie’s previous title. So it’s funny everyone is so concerned about Cora & Roxie as a team, when they should worry about the two women who came to NXT for the same reason: the NXT Women’s Championship.
Then let’s speak about the championship. Roxie stands as the currently longest reigning champion in WWE at 200+ days. But would she still be champion if not for Cora attacking Giulia? Roxie & Cora sigh again. Sarah, say that again. Go ahead. Well, Roxie is the currently longest reigning champion in WWE at 200 days, but- Exactly! She IS the longest reigning champion. No question marks, no doubt. She is champion because she deserves to be. Yeah, Giulia is on another level, but she’s not on Roxie’s level. And maybe, maybe Giulia had Roxie for a second, but no one cares. Giulia didn’t win. Why? Because Roxie didn’t know it then, but she can always count on Cora.
Now everyone loves to bring it up, so they’ll talk about it. They have had their ups and downs, but no one knows each other better than Roxie & Cora. You wanna talk dream teams? Roxie & Cora is the dream team! And tonight, they show everyone that you can travel the whole wild world of wrestling, and it is still too small in comparison to stepping into a ring with Roxie & Cora. Cora says she’s done with Sarah, she will be addressing Stephanie & Giulia now. Cora tells Stephanie & Giulia to enjoy their 15 minutes of fame on their first WWE PLE. Because Cora & Roxie are going to show why an entire era was built around them.
The champ and her bestie are confident, apparently having learned how to forgive and forget. But will this be a night they never forget when they fail to stop The Beautiful Madness & Dark Angel?
NXT checks back in on Dave & Bubba Ray.
Dave says he’s got “Bully,” but nah, it truly is Bubba Ray Dudley back in Pennsylvania! He even puts on the glasses and asks, “WAZZAP~?!” They talk the NXT Championship, Trick Williams VS Ethan Page, Devil’s Playground. They talked with HBK on BOR, an interesting take on it all. Ethan Page has put Trick’s feet to the fire with this match. Talking about the copper in the blood, your own blood, getting in your own mouth. That is something Ethan has been through before, and Trick has not. It is going to be one hell of a fight! Dave brings up Ethan asking Trick if he’s ever been busted open before, a position Trick’s never faced.
The fans chant “WHOOP DAT TRICK!” and Dave says clearly, Trick has Hershey behind him. But Trick’s never been put in a fight like this before. Bubba asks if Ethan has what it takes to become the NEW NXT Champion. Dave feels he does, and Dave really likes Trick. It’s just that Trick isn’t taking Ethan seriously here. Ethan has never beaten Trick 1v1, never pinned him. That is a good point there, but moving on to the Ambulance Match. Ridge Holland VS Andre Chase, the “Road to Redemption” for Ridge. But Dave has to say, Ridge is a bad man, maybe even a piece of garbage! Bubba says normally, he is never at a loss for words, but he agrees here.
Everything Dave just said about Ridge is- OH SNAP, Ridge interrupts! He hears them on that, he does. The fans boo, and Ridge ignores that to say these two are having a good time running him down. Big Chase U fans, right? Everyone is. But no one has a clue who Ridge really is. Bubba says no, he gets it. Tonight is a big night, Ridge wants to step in to make even more of a name for himself than he already has. Bubba appreciates it, he just doesn’t agree with it. Ridge tells Bubba to not play the saint here. Bubba did whatever he had to in order to get by in his career. Bubba pushed the envelope, all the way to being a WWE Hall of Famer.
Ridge is going to use that same energy tonight to put Chase U down, for good. The fans boo but Ridge leaves. Dave has Bubba cool down, because this is a huge show, one hell of a show, and they can’t wait to see it! Will Yorkshire Grit regret stepping to Bubba? Will he regret bringing down the wrath of Chase U?
Gigi Dolin is here!
“It’s the countdown to Halloween, my favorite time of the year. The season where we all embrace a different side of ourselves. A creepier side, a scarier side. That is what tonight is all about: Embracing the madness, the chaos, the mayhem! So, NXT Universe, are you ready to embrace the havoc?! The battle for the North American Championship has been decided by fate. What monstrous deeds await The Don and The Ruler when they clash in Tables, Ladders & Scares? Could the end be near for Chase University? Whose lights will go out: Andre Chase or Ridge Holland?
“The curse of a champion is a target they must wear, so it is important to have a friend who is always watching your back. Cora, Roxanne, there’s nowhere to run, there’s nowhere to hide. They’re coming for you. The Wheel has spoken, Who will channel their inner demon and come out as NXT Champion from The Devil’s Playground? Tonight, Halloween arrives early as NXT unleashes an event so shocking, so gruesome, you won’t wanna look away. Welcome to Halloween Havoc!”
NXT North American Championship Tables, Ladders & Scares: Tony D’Angelo VS Oba Femi!
This match may be a terrifying take on a TLC match, but you can bet both men are coming away from this with more than goosebumps. Bumps, bruises, possibly broken bones and broken spirits, but no need for climbing in this one! Pinfall or submission ends this storied rivalry, who writes the more frightening finale?
The introductions are made, but Tony has Mike Rome skip it. “We know the rest.” And then Tony throws hands with Oba! The ref rings the bell and Hershey fires up for the brawl! Tony dodges, then SPEARS! Cover, ONE! Oba is up but Tony LARIATS Oba up and out! Tony runs up but Oba KNEES low! Oba UPPERCUTS Tony, whips him, but Tony reverses to POST Oba! Tony then runs up to SPEAR Oba through barriers!! The fans are going nuts as this one gets scary in a hurry! Tony storms around, then he brings out a ladder! The fans cheer as Tony puts that in the ring, then brings out a second ladder!
Tony clears off the desk and the fans chant, “We Want Tables!” Tony’s second ladder is big, and it makes for a good bridge between ring and desk. But then Oba SMACKS Tony on the back with a chair! If you count the desk as a table, then the trifecta is complete. Tony writhes, Oba puts his chair aside, to bring out more chairs! Oba puts those in the ring, then drags Tony up. Oba steps up to the apron, the fans still want tables, but Tony CHUCKS a chair at Oba! Oba falls back, Tony storms over, but Oba SMACKS him with a chair again! Oba slides in, choke grip, CHOKE SLAM on a chair! Cover, TWO!! Tony survives and the fans rally.
Oba snarls and grabs the ladder from earlier. He props it up in a corner, then grabs a chair to SMACK Tony again! Even the fans wince from that one. Oba stands over Tony, and JAMS Tony in the gut with a chair! And then JAMS him again! Tony endures as Oba pushes the chair in, and Tony bench presses the chair away! But Oba stomps Tony in the gut! Tony goes to a corner, Oba whips him corner to corner, and Tony hits the ladder hard! Tony falls over, then the ladder does, narrowly missing Tony’s legs. Oba grins and the fans already cheer on “NXT! NXT!” Oba stands Tony up to UPPERCUT him to the corner.
Oba traps Tony by putting the ladder through ropes. Oba then SMACKS Tony off the rungs again and again! Tony sputters, Oba ROCKS him with a right. Tony slumps down, Oba repositions the ladder, but Tony UPKICKS it into him! Oba staggers, comes back, and Tony UPKICKS the ladder into him again! The fans rally as Tony flops out of the ring. Oba pursues, picks Tony up, and hits an APRON SPINEBUSTER! Oba puts Tony in the ring, the fans hoot, and Oba KNEES Tony in the side. Oba shifts the ladder around to be a ramp, and he scoops Tony to SLAM him on the ladder! The ladder doesn’t break but maybe Tony’s back just did!
The fans rally, they still want tables, so Oba goes looking under the ring. And yes, he finds a TABLE! The fans are fired up now, and Oba slides the table into the ring. Oba sets the table up in another of the corners, then goes back to Tony. Oba scoops Tony, takes aim, but Tony slips free! Tony fires haymakers on Oba! Tony runs, comes back, but Oba hurdles! Tony stops from hitting the table, but Oba UPPERCUTS Tony through the table!! The fans lose their minds all over again! Oba drags Tony to a cover, TWO!! Tony survives that human version of a car crash, and Hershey declares, “This is Awesome!”
Tony writhes, Oba paces, and Tony crawls to the apron. Wait, Oba pulls a crowbar out from a corner post? Tony reaches around behind the steel steps, he has no crowbar! Did Oba anticipate Tony’s ace in the hole and take it for his own? Oba grins, but Tony grabs a chair! The chair is a shield against the crowbar! Tony ducks, but then Oba BOOTS him! Oba CLOBBERS Tony with the bar, then GRINDS it into Tony’s face! It’s a cast iron crossface, but Tony still endures! The fans rally up as Tony fights, and he manages to turn into the twist. Tony stands, but Oba BLINDSIDE LARIATS Tony down! Cover, TWO!
Oba grows frustrated with Tony’s tenacity, and he stomps away on The Don! Oba CHOKES Tony with a foot on his throat! Oba CLUBS Tony with the crowbar again, then goes back to that crowbar crossface! The fans rally as Tony endures again. Tony fights up, and he RAMS Oba into buckles! Oba holds onto Tony’s head! Tony RAMS Oba back in, but Oba BLINDSIDE LARIATS again! Oba reels Tony in, but Tony powers up! Tony BACKDROPS Oba away! Both men are down and the fans rally for “Tony! Tony!” Oba and Tony rise, and Tony has a chair. Tony JAMS Oba, SMACKS Oba, and repeat! Then Tony clinches, BELLY2BELLY onto the chair!
The fans fire up with Tony, and he clinches Oba for a SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Oba survives and now Tony grows a bit frustrated. Tony rolls out of the ring, looks under it, and he brings out a new TABLE! The fans fire up as Tony puts that in the ring, and he sets it up on its own two (four?) legs. But then Oba fireman’s carries Tony, to F5! Tony writhes, clutching his knee, but Oba can’t make a cover from how beat up he’s feeling. Oba stands, hobbles to the ropes, then goes outside the ring to look underneath. He finds ZIP TIES! Oba drags Tony over by his suspenders, and he uses the zip ties to bind Tony to the bottom buckle!
The fans are torn as Oba is making Tony relive Tuesday night! But wait, The D’Angelo Family IS here! Oba said they wouldn’t, and that he wouldn’t sweat them, but now he has to BOOT Stacks, and TOSS Luca! Rizzo slips past him to go to Tony’s side! Oba POSTS Stacks but Rizzo works on freeing Tony! The fans are torn, and then Oba sees Rizzo in the ring. Oba tells her to mind her business, and he steps into the ring. Rizzo backs away in fear, and Tony tells Oba to leave Rizzo alone! Tony is Oba’s opponent! But Oba looks at the table Tony set up…! Oba grins as he steps closer to Rizzo. Rizzo hurries out of the ring, but Oba keeps stalking her!
Oba is like a lion with a rabbit, but this rabbit’s got a crowbar!! Only for Oba to SNATCH it from her! Wait, Tony BREAKS the zip ties! And he runs to SPEAR Oba off the apron and down through the ladder bridge!!! The fans lose their minds all over again as Don and Ruler are writhing in the wreckage! Tony drags Oba up and into the ring, and he gets moving again, only for Oba to LARIAT!! Oba still has power to spare! FALL FROM GRACE!!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Tony survives and Oba is beside himself! Rizzo cheers on Tony but Oba rises again. Oba stands Tony up, so Rizzo slips in to CROWBAR Oba down!
Luca & Stacks use chairs to SMACK Oba, and then FULL METAL SHATTER MACHINE!! Tony picks Oba up to SPINEBUSTER through the table!! Cover, Tony wins!!
Winner: Tony D’Angelo, by pinfall (still WWE NXT North American Champion)
Oba’s arrogance and disrespect were his downfall! He tried to destroy The Family, and he only made The Family stronger for it! If Oba cannot be North American Champion, what is he to rule now? As for The Don, will he and his family move on to even bigger and better?
Backstage interview with Lexis King.
Sarah Schreiber is with the Drama King and says he has his Heritage Cup Championship match on Tuesday, but she has to ask: Has Lexis found a cornerman yet? Lexis says he’s found everything but. He has been finding himself in the ring, his conditioning is on point, and credit to Charlie Dempsey, he is a heck of a competitor from a great wrestling family. Lexis is on his game right now, but he won’t lie, he is struggling to find a cornerman. It has been days of constant rejection, ghosted texts and unanswered voicemails. It is so hard to change everyone’s perception. He gets it, people look at him and they see his dad.
Lexis understands, but he’s also trying to be his own man. But rejection sure sucks. “I’ll be your cornerman.” Wait, William Regal?! Regal says he knew Lexis’ father very well, and if five decades in this business has taught Regal anything, it’s that the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, especially with second generation wrestlers. But Regal appreciates that Lexis is trying to be his own man. So Regal will be in his corner. Lexis can’t thank Regal enough. Oh, there will be time. They shake hands, and is the Gentleman Villain really going to help Lexis get one over on his son?
Roxanne Perez & Cora Jade VS Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer!
The Prodigy and her prodigal bestie have not just reunited, they’re united in holding down everyone else in the division. Will these punk rock mean girls bully around the new girls, in matching outfits even? Or will they succumb to the Beautiful Madness and the Dark Angel on her side?
The teams sort out, and Vaquer starts against Cora. They circle, feel things out, and knuckle lock. Vaquer then stands on Cora’s hand, twists the other, and turns Cora around to a motorcycle stretch. Cora turns things back around, but Vaqer powers up to whip Cora into the corner. Tag to Giulia already, and Giulia climbs. Vaquer wrenches, Giulia AX HANDLES the arm! Giulia wrenches, YANKS, and repeat, to then CLUB Cora’s arm. Giulia hammerlocks before she RAMS Cora into the corner! Tag to Vaquer and she BOOTS Cora down! Cora scrambles away, tag to Roxie! The fans rally as Roxie and Vaquer circle now.
The two tie up, Roxie pulls hair and puts Vaquer on ropes, but the ref counts. Roxie stops at 4 to shove Vaquer. Vaquer SHOVES Roxie down! Roxie runs up, but into a headlock. Cora storms in, Vaquer intercepts with a flying body scissors! Vaquer wrangles Cora into an STF! Well, Roxie & Cora are twinsies so now they’re enduring the same hold! The fans fire up as Roxie & Cora crawl, ROPEBREAKS! The ref counts, Giulia & Vaquer let go, and the mean girls bail out together. Giulia eggs them on, the fans rally up, and Roxie storms up to the apron. Roxie runs up, Giulia dodges, and Giulia SLAPS Roxie back!
Giuila whips, Roxie reverses, but Giulia goes up and out. Giulia swings, Roxie dodges, but then Giulia dodges the shoulder tackle! Giulia BOOTS Roxie, goes up, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! Roxie tumbles, Giulia covers, TWO! Roxie is tougher than that but Giulia smirks. Giulia brings Roxie up, Roxie shoves her away, but Giulia BOOTS again! Tag to Cora, they mug Giulia in the ropes! Roxie runs to SHOTGUN Giulia down! Cora covers, TWO!
Cora talks trash on Giulia, whips her to ropes, then ROCKS her with a forearm! And repeat the other way! The fans rally, Cora puts Giulia on ropes to run and BACK ELBOW! Cover, TWO! Cora keeps on Giulia with a chinlock and she squeezes tight! Giulia endures and the fans rally up. Vaquer coaches Giulia, and Giulia fights up. Giulia flails, arm-drags free, and then slips around to roll Cora up! TWO, and Cora scrambles to her feet. Cora LARIATS Giulia down! The fans continue to rally, and Cora drags Giulia over. Tag to Roxie, and the twinsies double whip Giulia into the corner. Roxie runs up, into a BOOT!
Cora runs up, SHIING- NO, Giulia DUMPS her! Roxie drags Giulia up but Giulia ROCKS Roxie first! And again! Giulia whips, Roxie reverses to take a swing, but Giulia ducks! Giulia swings, Roxie ducks! Then they both SLAP the other down! The fans fire up while Roxie and Giulia both stir. Roxie sees Cora is still down, so she hurries to anchor Guilia. Giulia BOOTS Roxie away, and hot tag to Vaquer! Vaquer springboards to CROSSBODY! A heavy impact but Vaquer keeps going. She dodges Roxie, and feeds her SOLE FOOD! Cora runs up, Vaquer puts her in a corner! Vaquer fires HEAEDBUTTS on Cora!
Vaquer runs corner to corner, BOOT for Roxie! METEORA for Cora! Roxie ELBOWS Vaquer, but Vaquer is just mad! Vaquer gets Roxie’s leg, DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! Cover, TWO!! Roxie is showing championship grit but Vaquer tucks her in! But Cora makes the save! Giulia runs up, Cora dodges! Cora takes a swing, Giulia dodges! Giulia & Vaquer have Cora & Roxie by the hair! Cover, Giulia & Vaquer win!!
Winners: Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer, by pinfall
Their own take on Power & Glory brings the Stardom alumni the victory! But the detail to highlight is that Vaquer pinned the NXT Women’s Champion. Will- Wait, the lights go out! And we see that ZARIA is here! She made her presence known last Tuesday, and we see her up in the skybox! The NXT Women’s Division continues to be the best in the world, but who will be the best of the best?
Cedric Alexander talks with Je’Von Evans backstage.
“Uncle Ceddy” wants the Young OG to understand, #Fraxiom has been here longer, so they have more experience. But Je’Von seems to be spacing out. Cedric asks if he’s okay, and Je’Von says yeah, he’s fine. But… Does Cedric think Je’Von was wrong to slap Nathan Frazer last week? Like, he doesn’t feel bad about it, but at the same time, the kid in these pictures wouldn’t be popping off just for someone mouthing off. Is he talking crazy or…? No, Cedric gets it. He personally wouldn’t have, but he sees what Je’Von’s feeling. Guys are gonna try and test Je’Von, and come at him from different angles every chance they get.
The key to success is to stay cool, but not be a pushover. That said, Cedric’s actually glad Je’Von slapped Frazer, because otherwise, Cedric & Je’Von wouldn’t be getting a title match with Fraxiom. That’s why Cedric’s in NXT: championship gold! Who knows? It might be alright to do some bad things to get ahead. Every once in awhile. Well, no, let’s not go there. Je’Von likes Cedric the way he is, so lets get the titles! Will PRIMED Alexander & The Young OG be feeling sweet while they make Frazer & Axiom all salty?
Dave & Bubba check in again.
It’s already been quite the show, and what a foundation shaking finish as Vaquer pins the NXT Women’s Champion! Bubba says the only three words that come to mind are, “This is Awesome!” That tag match, for a tag team specialist like him, that was one hell of a match! And how about the sudden appearance of you-know-who. Yes, Dave agrees, this is a new era! How about the way this show started? Tony D not only defending the title, but his family coming together to do it. Bubba says Tables, Ladders & Scares! As one of the four founders of TLC, Bubba can tell you, that was a hell of a match!
Tony and Oba laid it all on the line, it was physical, and brutal, and yeah, #AndStill North American Champion, Tony D’Angelo. Dave says if we’re talking brutal, what’s up next in the Ambulance Match, with Ridge talking to Bubba, this will be a hell of a match. Bubba says again, Ridge is making a name for himself, we all know who he is now. Will Yorkshire Grit come through on destroying Chase University once and for all? Or should he have just learned how to accept their help so he could avoid this Chase University sized ass whooping?

Axiom finds Nathan Frazer going hard in his training.
The Undeniable Truth wants the Jersey Island Rocket to slow down, but Frazer says sorry, did he really just say that? Well, save something for Tuesday. Frazer apologizes for Tuesday. It’s just that, the slap from Je’Von really got Frazer heated. Axiom says no worries. If anything, he’s used to it by now. What? Well, Frazer gets hot, backs the team against a wall, but Axiom gets them out of it. It’s kinda what they do. “What they do?” Frazer isn’t doing this on purpose, mate. Axiom thinks he does, though. What? Uh, The Viper himself said it was okay to be a hothead, and Frazer loved it! But that doesn’t mean he can use it as an endorsement.
But hey, it’s okay. Axiom accepts Frazer for who he is. Wait, is he mad at him or what? No, not mad. And of course they’re going to train, they have to stay sharp for Je’Von, for Cedric, and for whatever else Frazer’s mouth gets them into. Hey, amigo, could you be any more condescending? Yes, actually. But then he’d be Frazer. A bit of a burn on Frazer there, but will the tag team champions be able to stay cool and stay golden this Tuesday?
Backstage interview with Ava Raine.
Sarah is now with the NXT GM and says it has been a busy weekend for her. She was on SmackDown just last Friday, talking with the other General Managers, and it is official: A WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Fatal 4 Way for Crown Jewel! And tonight has already been a thriller, but we did just hear that intense exchange between the NXT Tag Team Champions ahead of their title match on Tuesday. Ava says yeah, that is certainly unexpected, so it’ll be interesting to see how things go Tuesday.
Speaking of, William Regal of all people will be in Lexis King’s corner for the Heritage Cup Championship. Ava says she just met with those two in the hall, and obviously Regal has a wealth of knowledge on both Heritage Cup matches and Charlie Dempsey, so she’s intrigued to see how that goes down. And that brings Sarah to November 6th, NXT 2300, they’re going to be in the classic ECW Arena! Ava is very excited for that, it is one of the most iconic venues in wrestling history. She’s still finalizing the card, but a guaranteed match is Lola Vice VS Jaida Parker, and it will be a special guest referee: ECW Alumni, Dawn Marie, AND it will be a Hardcore match!
Big moves from Ava for a big Tuesday in Philadelphia! Will things truly get extreme in the home of Extreme Championship Wrestling?

My Thoughts:
An awesome night for Halloween Havoc, but still with a few flaws that really could’ve been ironed out with some forethought. Zaria is a great addition to this already powerful NXT Women’s Division, but did we need to see her twice? It’s a bit redundant for her to show up and put the top title picture on notice, then completely obliterate The Fatal Influence after their win for the midcard title. Just do the latter, since it felt like Zaria was after the Women’s North American Championship from the start.
And speaking of that title, I’m not sure Gauntlet was the way to go. I swear I heard one guy counter the “This is Awesome!” chants with “No It’s Not!” Sadly, that one guy was probably right. If the end result was Fatal Influence all working together, any No DQ match would’ve worked. And with the Gauntlet, sad to say, it exposed some flaws. It was mostly in timing between them all, certainly in Kelani VS Jazmyn, but Kelani VS Fallon made it work by the end. Good for Fallon to be new champ, she has put in the work to deserve it, but I now fear she’s getting fed to Zaria right away. Hmm, maybe they should’ve flipped it and let Zaria only tease going after the top title.
And in which case, awesome stuff for that story. Very good promos in the preshow from Giulia, Vaquer, Roxie & Cora, and awesome match. Kudos to Cora for going top rope after only just coming back from a knee injury. While it was a natural choice for Vaquer & Giulia to win, it also helps their story that Vaquer pinned Roxie. Giulia and Vaquer will likely have a match against each other, the winner faces Roxie for the title at let’s say Deadline in December. The other can find their way into the Iron Eliminator match along with Cora and some other top names, making for another strong showing from this strong Women’s Division.
Likewise, we are getting strong grudge matches out of the non-title stories. Ava announcing the fourth Special Guest Referee match in WWE was odd. Not sure anyone had this many special guest ref matches on their wish list for 2024 but here we are. Dawn Marie will surely be a factor in Lola VS Jaida, but it’ll overall be an awesome match for NXT 2300. Likewise, Tatum VS Wendy in a Casket Match for this Tuesday will be a great blowoff, especially with no chance of interference. Wendy and Rosemary are no longer spooky scary teammates after TNA Bound for Glory, so it’ll be Wendy and Tatum 1v1.
Really good promos to hype up the rest of Tuesday’s episode. Good stuff with Je’Von quite truly growing into his own, wondering where the line is between Face and Heel. Good stuff in Fraxiom again having fractures in their bond. I don’t see Je’Von & Cedric dethroning Fraxiom, but it’d be so weird if Fraxiom really did break up before A-Town Down Under. And while I thought Lexis was going to get Oro Mensah to come around and be a cornerman, William Regal stepping in is quite the twist. I don’t know which would be better: Regal actually helping Lexis win; or Regal swerving Lexis because he’s really helping Dempsey. The latter could be used to bring Oro to Lexis’ side, feeling sympathetic to Lexis getting cheated.
Good promos from Tony and Oba in the preshow, and they had a great TLC match to start us off. A little torn on how that one ended, though. The Family all helping Tony win was really more to protect Oba in the loss. I’m sure Oba moves up to the NXT Championship at some point, but the loss felt as off as Kelani’s. But at least the promo with the family backstage set up a very quick end to the Whodunnit. I am still thinking it was Lyons that attacked Rizzo, given the little interaction she had with Oba. This has to lead to a faction warfare story, Oba, Lyons, and the team of Tyriek & Tyson, aka #TYGERS going after The D’Angelo Family in full.
Great stuff with Ridge Holland tonight as he is apparently the one moving up to the NXT Championship next. I was really surprised Ridge won against Chase as far as a storytelling concept, but Ridge is definitely big, strong and mean enough to be a top level Heel in NXT. Ridge interacting with Bubba Ray was also some good stuff, as this helps both the NXTNA crossover, as well as brings an ECW & WWE legend back on screen. Trick VS Ethan was really good, though certainly more a brawling Falls Count Anywhere than anything truly “horrifying.” Though, they did pull off “blood in the mouth” rather well.
Trick retaining was the logical choice, as he only just got it back and doing a “hot potato” between Trick and Ethan would be a little much. Bubba saving Trick from Ethan and Ridge was good stuff, solid ending scene here. Trick VS Ridge can certainly be at Deadline, but it’d be good story stuff if Ridge attacked Bubba on TNA “when he least expects it.” Ridge VS Bubba can even be a great match before or after Ridge challenges Trick. Because no offense to Ridge, but I’m not seeing him take the title off Trick. Maybe Ridge should be a guy that wins the Heritage Cup by knockout. I’m personally still wanting to see that at all.
My Score: 9.1/10

Andrew’s TNA LIVE! iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 2.20.2025
So the first live episode got fairly positive praise from everyone; will this continue the trend?

Filming at Full Sail seems to have set the stage nicely this week! Going into a Live episode we got Moose and The Hardy Boyz on NXT, as well as Jordynne Grace’s involvement with Steph and Giulia giving a little shine to TNA happenings since she’s newly WWE.
This episode should be interesting, we finally see Lei Ying Lee (fka Xia Li) back in action, Rascalz take on Tyson and Tyriek, Tessa should be seeing some action as well…so generally interesting happenings for the second Live iMPACT! of 2025. Let’s see how this one goes down!
No matter where @ManceWarner and @stephdelander go, @TheSamiCallihan WILL FIND THEM!

Results:
Oh yeah, and another Hendry concert is…cut off by a commercial, LOLTNA. First Hendry is cut off by AXSTV’s new Anime Hour bumper, and now Primo and Epico are showing up in TNA. I definitely didn’t have this on my BINGO card. The crowd starts chanting “Where’s Carlito”, which they do acknowledge and play off of well. Oh they’re using their shoot names of Orlando and Eddie now…but before they attack the lights go out and we get another guitar strum! ELIAH/ELIAS/EZEKIEL/EBENERZER/EMERY/EL VAGABUNDO – shows up to back up Hendry. Okay I can apologize away the redundant concert since it played into an Elijah debut. The crowd is immediately popping and chanting “This is Awesome” 10 minutes into the show.
Tyson & Tyriek w/Wes Lee vs The Rascalz w/Ace Austin
Treehouse bros take it to the bigger men quickly, a few fast dives, a little MCMG style tandem strikes, Tyson fires and tries to take them out but they Low Bridge him. Tyriek comes in and they try similar things but Tyriek manhandles them both and throws them out of the ring, Trey is the first one back up and Tyriek and Tyson take his damn head off with his Corkscrew Running Euro Upper. Trey finally manages to flip out of the manhandle, tags in Wentz and Wentz goes for the hot and spicy cleaning house spot. Corner to Corner Knee Lifts for both big men, a Rolling Snapmare, into a Superkick for Tyson and Standing Shoot Star on Tyriek but only for two because Wes feints like he’s going to interfere.
Tyson and Tyriek pull off a tandem Assisted Backdrop Driver, but Wentz breaks it up, Tyson gets knocked out, Wentz hits the Tornillo, Wes tries to interfere again after Trey gets perched on the corner buckle but Ace runs around and trips Wes at the last second causing him to faceplant on the apron, Trey hits the Meteora, Wentz hits a Swanton from the other side of the ring and Trey gets the pinfall victory.
It was fast paced, all gas no brakes, but it didn’t overstay its welcome, so it was pretty fun all things considered.
After the match Wes grabs a mic, complains a little but challenges them to a 6 man match as Sacrifice. So we’re THAT’S where we’re getting the expected 3v3.
Fir$t Cla$$ comes out with an entourage of hot chicks and probably influencers or something. The “First Class Penthouse” , Gabby AF, Mafiosa Valentina, and Carolina are apparently known in their own way. Gabby I know was the awful one who did something for Impact a last year and sucked, but she’s part of the Busted Open Network I believe so that’s why she’s around. Two of them look like Noelle Foley and Frank the Clown…oh they actually are. Look at that. I do love KC Navarro as the Hype Man, they have this whole set up of AJ being mad that they haven’t gotten more Tag Title shots, so TNA placated him with his own Piper’s Pit and he’s *pregnant pause* totally happy with that. He says he loved Piper and hated Hogan before it was cool.
This is actually quality content and AJ is cutting a nice promo in this segment. They introduce their first guest, the greatest performer in TNA history, many whole say he’s Phenomenal with a whole lot of style….it’s A-J-Francis.
.@AJFrancis410 is GOING OFF!

Lei Ying Lee vs Rosemary
Things were slow until Rosemary took her into a corner quickly, hit the Upside Down, and we get a lot of Lei trying to avoid Rosemary’s offense. Rosemary goes for a Spear in the corner and Lei forward rolls, starts connecting with a bunch of right hands, backs Rosemary into the corner, goes for 10 Count Punches, pulls her out, Airplane Spin TKO for only a two count. Rosemary tries As Above So Below, Lei shrugs it off, Rosemary tries to go after Lei anyway and eats Thunderstruck! Lei Ying Lee wins!
After the match Rosemary catches Lei on the ramp and hits the Green mist in the eyes. Match was far too short and so many of Lei’s set up moves look better than her finish. We’ve seen Kofi Kingston do it for years so it’s not bad, just the current Knockouts Division are awful and don’t take the move well.
Eric Young and the jabronis come out, EY cuts a very basic power crazed psycho kind of promo, gets the “What” chants from the crowds. EY is trying to recruit Maclin even though Maclin made his line in the sand last week. EY tries to spin it as maybe he took out Josh FOR Maclin instead of in spite of his trust. This really doesn’t seem interesting at all, but that’s probably because I hate the two Jabronis EY is with.
NoDQ Match: Leon Slater vs JDC
I really don’t have any interest in Slater. He’s got no personality beyond “flippy guy with a British accent”.
Dango immediately powders, grabs a chair and goes to swing on him but misses. So Leon is making JDC look dumb by dodging the post chop, using the chair to shield himself from a punch by JDC, and then clapping Dango’s fingers between the chair. So typical System match, look inept for the first few minutes, then take advantage of something to take over. Oh look, Leon takes too long setting up the table, Dango gets in a few pot shots, tries to whip him into the table but Leon leaps over it, and then leaps back over to clobber Dango. Dango is still trying to recover so Leon hits his over the corner post con hilo, and the crowd appreciates it but I’m not interested. Leon panders to the crowd after the big spot and then eats an X-Plex into the chair from Dango.
JDC throws Leon back in, goes for a pinfall that’s only a two and we cut to a commercial. Coming out of the commercial JDC is in control with a Kendo Stick until he isn’t, Leon counters and takes the keno stick, brutalizes Dango a few times then comes off the ropes with the kendo shot for 2. Leon goes for another table, and again, at least the crowd is receptive to this match. Leon sets it up, looks for something off the apron but Dango stops him first until he eats a dropkick to fall onto the table, Leon hits the Swanton 450 through the table on the outside. Does it look cool? Sure. Do I care about dumbass moves? Nope.
Oh thankfully the rest of The System comes out to stop the pinfall, Shield Bomb Leon through the first table, and roll him back in for Dango to win.
The Hardy Boyz come out to try and make the save, but the numbers are against them, so Oba Femi’s music hits! Oba cleans house but doesn’t get his hands on Moose, so they’re at least building the eventual clash between Moose and Oba.
The crowd starts a “Tessa, we comin for you” chant before she even starts talking. Tessa is actually playing off the crowd well, Santino’s music hits and Tessa thinks he’ll help her out with the crowd and Santino calls bullshit basically. Santino says if Tessa doesn’t wrestle next week, she’s fired and Masha’s music hits. Masha decides to step in for Tessa’s enhancement talent match.
Masha Slamovich vs Mila Moore
Jobber tries to attack Masha early but Masha stops her, rocks her and Requiem ends the match.
Masha stares down Tessa, and then Cora Jade attacks from behind and hits Jaded.
Ryan Nemeth comes out to his Abyss music remix. What will Mokuba say today? “MYYYY BIIIGG BBRROOOOTTHHHEEEEER” he repeats at least 4 times and it’s hilariously cringe. He announces that Nic will return at Sacrifice, he literally just came out to give a PSA.
Elijah & Joe Hendry vs The Colons
Hendry starts with Eddie, after a brief tie up it seems like Hendry reads the room and points at Elijah and the crowd wants him in. So Joe tags in Elijah, a little back and forth, Shoulder Tackle from Elijah, Rope Walk with Elijah lays out Eddie and a tag to Joe allows for a quick tandem knockdown, but Eddie powders as the Walking and Talking Duo hold the ring going into the final commercial break.
We come back and Hendry is bouncing Orlando off the ropes as he return a strike, but Orlando is obviously losing, eats a Euro Upper, and then gets walked around in the Stalling Suplex for posterity. Eddie tries a sneak attack but gets caught and Sack of Shit, into Kip Up, turn and then Orlando with the ambush! A few quick short cuts and an Irish Whip/Dropkick combo gives the Colons a near fall. Hendry does get locomotion variation cradles, but eats a Dropkick to stop the attempt at momentum. Orlando stays on Joe, but Joe finally starts to fire up as the crowd starts to get behind him. Euro Uppers make some space, but a Snapmare says no.
Eddie gets tagged in and a quick Leg Sweep into a Front Chancery keeps Eddie in control. As Joe tries to get back up, Eddie turns it into a Guillotine, but finally the Suplex counter connects for Hendry! Simultaneous tags! Elijah bulls over Orlando, catches a Leap Frogging Orlando with the Manhattan Drop as Orlando retreats to a corner, Stinger Splash into Spinebuster for two. Elijah tries to keep up the attacks but Orlando finds a few ways to make space, launches himself from the middle rope and eats the Jumping Knee! Eddie breaks up the pinfall, Hendry takes Eddie out and Elijah hits the Tombstone Piledriver for the win!
Overall Score: 6/10
Well there were more live hiccups than the first episode, and this felt both more epic and less epic at the same time. Elijah and the Colons debuting was a nice way to kick things off, Oba Femi showing up for the save was fantastic. There were a few decent matches, but also a lot of really short and rushed matches. Tessa played off the crowd well, but Masha really is useless on the mic. Lei Ying Lee needs to framed stronger, her matches have done nothing to show off her ability. It just proves that the Knockouts don’t know how to sell a kick to the head because they all take it in the shoulder and fall in corny ways.
Viva La Sam could be something fun if the next 3 weeks are just hand cam footage of him being like “I’m Sami Callihan and I’m gonna kick Mance Warner’s ass”, Elegance Clique getting the rematch with a stipulation is nice to see and while I like Fir$t Cla$$, that segment went a little long for a cornball swerve payoff. It’s one thing to placate the Influencer squad especially when we’ve seen Logan Paul and Ishowspeed do so well in WWE…but these are like Z Tier Influencers that no one cares about. These kind of dorks stream on Kick because they aren’t relevant enough for Twitch, not because they chose Kick over it.
So yeah, the low lights were pretty low, and the highs were a little fleeting, but at least they were pretty fun. Not a bad show, just clunky with noticeable issues and Masha shouldn’t be allowed to speak English anymore. She’s such a charisma vacuum when she’s not rambling in Russian.

Fuego Del Sol VS Wheeler Yuta!
Lucha night opens with a hot start as the Fire of the Sun returns to ROH, but so does The Decoder! Will Fuego Del Sol get one up on a former ROH Pure Champion turned current AEW World Trios Champion? Or will Yuta do the Death Riders proud in Houston?
Houston cheers on the Texas star, and Fuego offers the Code of Honor. Yuta reaches out, but then SLAPS Fuego! The fans boo and the bell rings, Yuta slips around to CLUB Fuego down! Yuta mocks the fans cheering on Fuego, then scoops him for a SLAM and SENTON! The fans boo but Yuta brings Fuego up. FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO, but Yuta holds onto the leg! Yuta taunts Fuego, but Fuego kicks at him! Yuta lets go and the fans rally up. Yuta runs up, Fuego ELBOWS him away, then goes up, up and FLYING RANAS! The fans fire up as Fuego then DROPKICKS Yuta down!
Yuta staggers up, Fuego SLAPS him! But Yuta LARIATS in return! The fans boo but Yuta rains down fists! And then stops, to rain down more fists! The fans boo but Yuta soaks that up while he “kicks dirt” on Fuego. Yuta stands Fuego up, CHOPS him, then has him in a corner. Yuta CHOPS Fuego again, the fans boo, but Yuta whips corner to corner hard! Fuego staggers forward, Yuta says they ain’t done yet. Yuta whips Fuego to the corner again, then FLAPJACKS on the rebound! Yuta adds a basement DROPKICK! The fans boo but Yuta soaks up heat. Yuta hits a spinning toehold, then has a DEATHLOCK!
Fuego endures and Yuta mockingly asks if he’ll give up. Fuego refuses to give in, and he SLAPS Yuta! So Yuta bridges and puts on more pressure! Yuta shows off by not even using his hands, but Fuego fights his way to the ROPEBREAK! Yuta lets go at 4, and he reminds the ref, “I have ’til five!” The fans boo Yuta parodying Bryan Danielson, then Yuta kicks Fuego around. Yuta eggs Fuego on, so Fuego ROCKS him! And ROCKS him! And again, and again, and again! But Yuta gets under the big haymaker! Yuta back suplexes, but Fuego lands out! Fuego dodges Yuta to then springboard QUEBRADA! Down goes Yuta!
The fans fire up as Fuego kips up and SUPERKICKS! Yuta sputters, Fuego runs and STEP-UP DOUBLE STOMPS! The fans fire up again as Fuego climbs a corner! Yuta stands, Fuego MISSILE- NO, Yuta gets under and comes back, BUSAIKU KNEE! Cover, Yuta wins!
Winner: Wheeler Yuta, by pinfall
Another thing he took from The American Dragon is that big knee, and Yuta takes the victory. Yuta sits Fuego up, and thinks about Hammer ‘n’ Anvil elbows, but he decides not to. Because he gets an even more sadistic idea! Yuta looks under the ring, and he brings out a steel chain! Yuta threatens the ref, then he goes to Fuego! The fans boo but Yuta hooks Fuego’s legs up, then uses the chain to go up, up and away, ROMERO SPECIAL!! Yuta taunts Fuego but Fuego is coughing up blood! Yuta lets Fuego go, the fans boo, but Yuta mockingly gives the Code of Honor handshake. Yuta no longer has honor, but will someone find a way to humble him?
Rachael Ellering VS Abadon!
The Queen of Strong Smile is feeling good being in Houston, ready to bring that Comet energy. However, she’s up against the Living Dead Girl, who brings a very different vibe. Will Rachael learn why everyone fears Abadon? Or will Rachael’s smile see her through?
The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, but uh, Abadon doesn’t let go. Rachael tries to get free, and now it is a tug-o-war. The fans rally, Rachael reels Abadon into a headlock, but Abadon BITES Rachael’s hand! The ref reprimands, Abadon lets go, and Abadon doesn’t get what’s wrong. Abadon runs up on Rachael but Rachael gets around to waistlock. Abadon switches, but Rachael goes to ropes to buck the O’Conner! Rachael CLOBBERS Abadon, but Abadon sits up! The fans rally, Rachael is frustrated, and then runs up. Abadon gets around, trips Rachael, then runs to basement dropkick! Rachael flounders to a corner and the fans rally again.
Abadon aims from a corner, runs in at Rachael, but Racahel ELBOWS Abadon away! Abadon says nuh-uh, comes back, but runs into a BOOT! Rachael runs and UPPERCUTS Abadon down! The fans fire up and Rachael aims from a corner. Rachael calls for the “SQUISH~!” and runs up, SENTON onto knees! Abadon avoids disaster and stalks Rachael to the apron. Abadon CLUBS Rachael, pushes her onto the apron, and springboards for a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! The fans fire up and Abadon pushes Rachael into the ring. Abadon runs corner to corner for a METEORA! Abadon pushes Rachael to a cover, TWO!
Abadon is annoyed but brushes it off. Abadon drags Rachael up, but Rachael fights the suplex! Rachael wrenches out, trips Abadon, and high stacks, ONE!! Rachael ROCKS Abadon, then tries again. FISHERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up for the “MD Collapse” and Rachael aims again. SQUISH~ SENTON hits! Cover, TWO! Abadon survives and Rachael is a bit surprised. Rachael throws off the headband, double checks her teeth, and the fans duel. Rachael CHOPS Abadon at the ropes, then ROCKS Abadon with a forearm! Rachael whips but Abadon blocks! So Rachel CHOPS again! Rachael whips, Abadon grabs ropes, and laughs!
Rachael runs up, Abadon ELBOWS and CUTTERS! Then BLACK DAHLIA!! Cover, Abadon wins!
Winner: Abadon, by pinfall
Abadon continues to be terrifying, as well as victorious. Will the ROH Women’s Division, and especially the champions, have to watch their backs?
Backstage interview with Jacked Jameson.
Lexy Nair is with the former Iron Savage, and he’s counting his abs. She brings us back to a few weeks ago when he walked up to Griff Garrison, Preston Vance & Cole Karter in hopes of forming a group with them. Then in Jacksonville, Jameson actually interfered in their match on their behalf. The question is, what’s going on here? Jameson says those are his boys! His guys! His dudes! Jameson went out there, helped them, it was huge! It was awesome! Speaking of, the boys walk in! Vance tells Jameson that they’ve heard his offer, they loved what he did in Jacksonville, and tonight is a big match and… They’d love if he was a part of it.
So then, it’s official! They got him some Frat House gear! But first… he has to do something. Yeah, sure! Anything! Vance, Griff & Karter pour all of their drinks into one red Solo cup, and Jameson asks what’s in it. The boys say don’t worry about it. Jameson says don’t have to tell him twice. He chugs the concoction, and he is PUMPED! The Frat House is now four men strong, and Jameson says after tonight, party at the Frat House! Vance tells Jameson that one thing about them: win or lose, they booze! The Frat boys head out, Lexy can finally breathe from whatever was in that cup, and it’s time to see if Jameson passes the test!
12 Man Tag: The Premier Athletes & The Frat House VS Top Flight, The Outrunners & The Von Erichs!
Instead of “Smart” Mark Sterling, Tony Nese has the mic to tell Bobby Cruise to shut up, “no one wants to listen to your stupid voice.” Nese then tells the “fat boys and fat girls” of Houston, Nese & Daivari couldn’t think of a better partner for this match than an athlete that makes every single one of them put to shame! Yes, it’s SMART MARK himself! Wait, seriously? Sterling takes the mic to say that’s right, he is still here to make sure that the losers of Texas can take part in their winning cheer. So please, get this right. When he says, “Athletes,” you say, “Rule!” NOTHING ELSE! Hands in, boys. Ohhh…! “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Gottee!
But with that, Dante & Darius Martin enter, accompanied by Leila Grey. Then Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd enter, and last but not least, Texas’ own, Marshall & Ross Von Erich! The massive teams sort out, and Darius starts against Nese. The fans rally up and Darius circles with Nese. Nese says wait, wait! He knows what the fans are here to see. Nese flexes, but the fans boo. Nese shouts, “ATHLETES!” The fans respond, “SUCK!” Nese and Darius circle, but then Nese kicks low! Nese bumps Darius off buckles, then tags in Daivari. “We’ll show you who sucks!” Nese & Daivari fire hands in the corner while the fans boo.
The ref counts, The Premier Athletes stop, and they both shout, “ATHLETES!” Again, the fans say, “SUCK!” Daivari tags Griff and they mug Darius. Griff ROCKS Darius, has him in a corner, then whips corner to corner. Darius goes up and over, rolls and arm-drags, then he DROPKICKS! The fans cheer, and Darius whips Griff into Dante’s BOOT! Tag to Dante, Darius CHOPS, Dante trips Griff, and Darius adds DOUBLE STMOPS! Griff scrambles, tag to Jameson, but Dante arm-drags Jameson! Dante keeps the armlock, he tags in Ross, and Ross wrenches to a wristlock. Ross YANKS the arm, then tags Marshall.
The Von Erichs double whip Jameson, then Marshall sends Ross in, FLYING BOOT! FLYING LARIAT and then Marshall snapmares Jameson for Ross’s PENALTY KICK! STANDING MOONSAULT and Marshall covers, TWO! Marshall fires the fans up, then hauls Jameson up to headlock. Tag to Truth and he wrenches Jameson. The fans rally but Jameson fires hands! Jameson whips, Daivari gets a cheap shot in, but Truth DECKS Daivari! Only for Vance to CLOBBER Truth! The ref has to keep Truth’s team back, so he missed all that! Jameson stomps Truth, tags Vance, and Vance covers, TWO!
Vance ROCKS Truth, has him in the corner, then CHOPS! Tag to Daivari, he CHOPS Truth, then he tags Nese. The Premier Athletes mug Truth with haymaker after haymaker, but the ref is still too busy keeping Top Flight, Turbo & The Von Erichs back! Nese drags Truth up, and he tags in Sterling!? The fans boo but Sterling gets to throw hands on Truth! “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Sterling drags Truth back, anchors a leg, and tags in Vance. Vance stomps Truth, tags Jameson, and Jameson tags Griff. Vance puts Truth in a corner, Griff sends Jameson in to LARIAT! Vance adds a BOOT, and then Griff BOOTS Truth down! Cover, TWO!
Griff tags Vance back in, they mug Truth, and Vance keeps Truth from the corner. Vance suplexes, covers, TWO! Truth stays in this but Vance stays on him with a chinlock. Truth endures, the fans rally up, and Truth stands. Truth fires body shots, but Vance CLUBS him! Vance whips, Truth ducks ‘n’ dodges, DOUBLE LARIATS take them both down! The fans fire up again as Truth and Vance crawl. Truth pushes past Vance, but Leila has to get out of the way as The Premier Athletes & Frat House all run up! They all YANK Top Flight, Turbo & The Von Erichs off the apron, leaving Truth stranded! But at least Truth’s team fights back!
The fans fire up, but Truth turns around into a BOOT! Truth ends up on the apron, Vance runs up, and Vance SPEARS Truth onto the entire cluster! The fans fire up as Vance drags Truth into the ring. Cover, TWO! The fans rally up as Truth stays in this. The teams regroup, Vance whips Truth to the corner, but Truth BOOTS back! Truth fires hands on everyone else, and then storms up, but Vance keeps him from his corner! Vance whips and catches Truth to a SLEEPER, but Truth hits a BIG back suplex! The fans fire up as Truth crawls! Leila coaches Truth, hot tag to Turbo! And to Sterling!? Sterling panics, he wants nothing to do with Turbo!
Jameson runs in, Turbo DECKS him! Griff runs in, Turbo DECKS him! Nese runs in, Turbo DECKS him! Daivari runs in, Turbo DECKS him! Turbo then scoops and SLAMS Nese! And he scoops and SLAMS Daivari! The fans fire up as Turbo ELBOWS Daivari in a corner, headlocks, BULLDOG LARIAT COMBO on The Premier Athletes! The fans are thunderous as Turbo flexes, but Sterling slithers in! Sterling CLUBS Turbo on the back, the fans boo, but Turbo just frowns and turns around. Sterling apologizes but Turbo grabs him by his shirt. Only for Jameson to get in and scoop SLAM Turbo! Jameson shouts, “Mark Sterling! You sonova b*tch!”
Jameson and Sterling look to parody the handshake, but Truth CLOBBERS Jameson! Sterling again apologizes, but Turbo stands back up! Sterling backs up into Turbo, panics, but Truth scoops Sterling! SLAM! The fans fire up as we get the real deal! Except Nese & Daivari get in! Wait, Marshall & Ross get them first, with DOUBLE IRON CLAWS! “Turbo Floyd! You sonova b*tch!” DOUBLE ELBOW DROP on Sterling! And then Sterling flounders up, into a scoop, but Griff & Vance get in! Top Flight DOUBLE SUPERKICK them back out! Truth runs, TOTAL RECALL!! Dante runs, Darius sets up, FLIGHT IN MOTION for Griff! Turbo covers Sterling, #TopVonRunners win!
Winners: Top Flight, The Outrunners & The Von Erichs, by pinfall
Everything’s bigger in Texas, and that includes this win as the super team everybody loves stands tall! But with The Von Erichs holding gold with Dustin Rhodes, will The Sons of Texas soon be everyone’s top priority?
MXM Collection speaks.
ROH Media found Mansoor & Mason Madden after their loss at ROH Global Wars: Australia, but they still had their remodeled ROH World Tag title belt. As such, they act triumphant and victorious because they “successfully defended” their ROH World Tag Team Championship. Because as you can see, they still have the belt! Shoutout to Dustin Rhodes, he is a great fellow tag team champion, he really tested MXM. But then they ran away with this here title, and there is nothing anyone can say about it! Fingertip touch and MXM heads out, but they do know possession is NOT nine-tenths of the law in ROH, right?
Billie Starkz VS Hyan!
As if tensions weren’t already high between these two, Minion 400,237 & 3/4ths is being belittled because she lost to Harley Cameron on the Jericho Cruise while The Fallen Goddess is still ROH Women’s World Champion after beating Alex Windsor in Australia. The Athena World Tour returns home to Texas, but will Billie make “Boss” proud? Or will even disappointment be bigger in Texas?
The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, and the fans rally up for Hyan. Billie is annoyed, the two tie up, and Billie wrenches to a wristlock. Hyan cartwheels, wrenches to a wristlock, but Billie rolls, rolls back, then trips Hyan. Billie flexes, the fans are torn, but then Billie throws Hyan down by her hair! Billie talks smack on Hyan, Hyan runs up, but Billie dodges to waistlock and shove. Billie then bypasses Hyan to sunset flip. Hyan rolls through, but Billie basement ENZIGIRIS! Billie then drags Hyan up to waistlock. Hyan fires elbows, runs to ropes, but Billie holds on! Billie CLUBS Hyan’s arms from the ropes, to STRAITJACKET GERMAN!
Billie scowls, then she stalks Hyan to the corner. Billie stomps a mudhole in, but the ref counts. Billie tells him to back off! Will Sammy & Dustin just have to take the fight to MXM to get their stolen property back?
My Thoughts:
A very good ROH clocking in at an hour and 21 minutes, it feels like they’ve almost got this mastered for a good cable TV runtime. Though at the same time, we still had filler in Gates of Agony squashing Exodus & Josiah, and then both women’s matches were fairly quick. Billie squashing Hyan was in part to serve story as we did see Athena tell Billie to take things seriously, and then Billie takes her frustrations out on Hyan. Rachael VS Abadon could’ve been a little longer to build them both up in the standings, but Abadon winning makes sense as Abadon’s gotten closer to titles than Rachael has. And good promo from Velvet, but I’m not sure why we’re waiting so long to get to her and Leyla’s rematch.
Additionally, while that 12 Man Tag was some fun, just smashing together multiple teams for that was bordering on filler. Good to see The Von Erichs back given ROH was in Texas. And between The Von Erichs being in Texas and Sterling being introduced as one of the competitors, it was a given The Von Erichs and their team would win. Though it did work that The Outrunners got the finish, they’re the team riding high right now. I will say it’s good that “The Frat House” is a faction, but like, can’t the name have just be The Fraternity? Or like, Greek letters that make a fraternity name, but also is a funny pun when you boil it down to letters.
But of course, great stuff throughout the night involving luchadores. Fuego Del Sol VS Yuta was a very good opening match, but I figured Yuta would win that. Him going the extra mile with that steel chain was rather vicious, I feel like Fuego should want payback, teaming with some other AEW wrestlers who have beef with the Death Riders. Komander VS Lee was a very good ROH TV Championship match, but given this wasn’t the main event, I figured Komander would retain. Maybe EJ gets his shot next?
And then a very good Six Man main event. The lucha rules made it constant motion because there was no need for tags, and apparently the ref didn’t need to count when Hechi’s team was in there together. MXM getting involved makes sense, as they’re still not happy just possessing the tag title. They screwed Sammy over, Hechi’s team wins, but then Sammy’s side stands tall over MXM. I would think we do get Sons of Texas VS MXM one more time, who knows how that goes, but it’ll be a lot of fun either way.
My Score: 8.6/10
