Sit-down interview with Gunther.
Joe Tessitore thanks Der Ring General for taking this time ahead of the historic match tonight. First, flashback to King & Queen of the Ring. There are some parallels here. What were Gunther’s thoughts going into the match with Randy Orton? Gunther saw Orton as a big obstacle, a big challenge, and knows the pedigree is impressive. Beating Orton would change his career in the long run. Against Cody Rhodes, Gunther feels just a bit ahead. Then this is a very unique match. Not a title match but certainly a prize on the line. All the success Gunther has had, what makes Cody a different kind of challenge?
Gunther says Cody does not come alone. He comes with the support of the people. It doesn’t matter how Gunther thinks of Cody’s methods, the support is there. But it’d be more in the favor of WWE if Cody, their poster boy, was victorious, and not the man doing his own thing. So is that his motivation? No, it’s just his job to do. What made Gunther stand out his whole career is that he’s never been flabbergasted. But last time in Saudi Arabia, Gunther beat Orton. This time, he beats Cody. He will choke Cody out, and when Cody wakes up from that, he’ll realize he’s the secondary champion.
So then that’s Gunther calling his shot? Win by submission? Yes. Joe then brings up the prize, the Crown Jewel Championship, and how it has everyone’s attention. The fact it will be Champion VS Champion, with a belt as massive as any we’ve seen. Just to have that in your hands, how badly does Gunther want that? Gunther says that’s a bit materialistic, but it will give him the justification to call himself THE best in WWE. That is what it is about. Then let’s reflect on this a moment: How is Gunther better now than the guy who had the record breaking Intercoientnla Chanmpionshi reign?
These past few months, Gunther has proven he can run the WWE. He has dominated everyone who steps in the ring with him, and outclass them. It is a gift, a responsibility, and a lot to juggle. Well, no doubt Gunther is radiating confidence and Joe wishes him luck. Will this be the night Der Ring General, the 2024 King of the Ring, makes even more history in his career?
Backstage interview with Seth Rollins.
Cathy Kelley compliments the sunglasses, and then brings up the match with Bronson Reed tonight. Rollins has been out of action for a couple months because of Bronson, and last we saw, Bronson took him out again. How is he feeling going into tonight? Rollins says, “Am I 100%? Absolutely not. Absolutely not, no chance. But has that ever stopped me before? Absolutely not.” Rollins is ready to fight, but he has to admit, this fight with Bronson is a big test. It is one of the biggest tests of his career. It isn’t just about slaying a monster, but about finding out who Rollins is and what he has left in the tank.
Rollins has his eyes on big things, so we need to see if this is the Seth Rollins that is ready to take another run at the World Heavyweight Championship. He wants to know, and the world’s about to find out. Can The Visionary, can The Revolutionary, can Seth FREAKIN’ Rollins take down the Colossal Aussie?
Backstage interview with Kevin Owens.
Cathy Kelley is now with The Prizefighter and says the past few weeks, he’s almost been silenced, so she must ask, how is he feeling? Kevin appreciates her saying that. He has been silenced. And Cathy knows how he’s feeling. Two days ago, they arrived, there were great activities lined up, and what happens? They go on a dune buggy, and they flipped! Rolled over! Several times! It was a car accident! And why? Because Kevin thinks that driver was paid off to make it happen! They’re all against him! All cuz he attacked Golden Boy Cody! NOT CODY~! But Kevin did it, and Cody deserved it! None of this is Kevin’s fault!
But now WWE is making him do what he doesn’t wanna do, and that’s fight his friend, Randy Orton! Kevin loved Randy! And tonight…! Tonight, Kevin makes Orton way worse than Kevin and Cathy felt getting out of that dune buggy. Cathy was collateral damage in this. But Kevin makes it right tonight. What happens tonight is Randy’s fault, not Kevin’s. Kevin heads out, but will KO take down Orton before he gets an RKO?
Sit-down interview with Triple H.
Nathalie Mamo of the WWE Middle East Social Media Team met with Paul Levesque, and is very honored to meet him in the WWE Experience. The 12th event in Saudi Arabia is proof that the WWE has had a successful partnership with Saudi Arabia’s GEA, the General Entertainment Authority. Tell her about this partnership and what it has meant these past six years. HHH says they love the partnership. It stems from His Excellency’s vision to bring sports entertainment around the world. Fans were surely excited, but not sure what to expect. That has changed exponentially.
The first women’s wrestling match here, to then having them on billboards, and even His Excellency saying there needs to be more women. It speaks to progress in Saudi Arabia, the fanbase, and the power of WWE as a truly global brand. Mamo says this is the Hall of Immortals here, but how did the idea of WWE Experience come to mind? This is the only one, and it is right here in Riyadh. Yes, WWE had grown so big here, and His Excellency wanted it to be a tourist attraction for everyone to come and see the history of WWE come to life. Riyadh was the perfect place, because it is a cultural hub, especially during Riyadh Season. To be a focal point of such a season, it is an incredible experience.
Then for the first time ever, we get two different Champion VS Champion matches, and the winners are Crown Jewel Champion. What is the significance of this new title? Growing up, HHH always saw the different champions of the different promotions, and the thought was always, “What if?” What if Bruno Sammartino faced Harley Race? Flair and Hogan at their peak. There is no better place to do this than here. It is a concept they thought about, and they needed the most impressive championship belt they’d ever since. That has been done. Those belts will stay here in the Experience for fans to admire in the vault.
Then what is HHH’s vision in the future in Saudi Arabia? WWE never looks at what they’ve done before, but at how they can do it better. WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, Crown Jewel, “How can we make this show bigger for next year?” Simply put: Overdeliver every time. The fans can be heard in another room, so clearly they like it. HHH wants the fans to know they saw the best show they possibly could, and that next time would be better. Then yes or no, is WWE staying in Saudi Arabia? Yes. Mamo thanks the WWE for everything they are offering to the Middle East.
Mamo personally, as a former athlete, and a woman, to be the first Arabian woman to host a WWE show, she takes a lot of pride being part of this journey and breaking barriers. She hopes this is the beginning of so much more. HHH says it is just the beginning, and he congratulates her for breaking those barriers. She is herself a role model for young women to do big things. Will tonight’s event not just be historic, but be the spark that ignites so much more?

Cathy Kelley thanks The American Nightmare for this time, and Cody says they’re all equally busy. This is a team effort. Yes, but Cody’s been on the Champion Schedule the past 7 months. How is Cody feeling? Cody says if he had any complaints, they’d be so surface level that they don’t compete with how he’s the happiest he’s ever been. This is a dream come true. There is an element of leadership, which has excited him. The last time Cody had a leadership role in wrestling, he feels he failed, he didn’t do well. But he also knew why he had. So this has been an opportunity to plug back in, and he might have a future beyond wrestling.
Cathy says one of Cody’s goals has been to spend more time with his daughter. The schedule is demanding so how does he reconcile that? Cody says this job is at contrast with being a family person. He is more emboldened and willing to do more work because of his family. Whenever he sees it’s 11:11 on the clock, so twice a day, if he sees that, he makes the same wish, and it’s that his wife and daughter never want for anything. He is very lucky to have Brandi as his ride or die. He told her this is what was coming with The Rock, he just wanted to get there and he’d be fine. Brandi knew that was a bit of a lie. Just as Bayley and Road Dogg have said, when you have the fever, you have it.
Then speaking of The Rock, there was that unlikely partnership with Roman Reigns. Cody is glad it wasn’t the cliche “Will they coexist?” thing. They agreed to coexist, and they won out. There’s a level of himself that was brought out in Cody by Roman and Cody hopes he did the same for Roman. Then what does Cody make of The Rock making his appearance? That was a reminder that The Rock can show up wherever, do whatever, and everyone has to just accept it because he’s The Final Boss. The Rock called out the two top guys of WWE and wanted to remind us that he’s up there, too.
Then to Crown Jewel, and the Champion VS Champion match with Gunther. How does Cody feel he’ll fare? Cody says it is odd how much he wanted this match. No one on paper looks better than Gunther. Cody has been aware of Gunther, from the World Heavyweight Championship, NXT UK Championship, wXw Championship, their one skirmish in a Royal Rumble. Right now, Gunther is overconfident. Cathy brings up Gunther calling Cody “a true secondary champion.” Cody says Gunther has great skill in getting under people’s skin, but Cody doesn’t let that happen. He is not secondary, the Undisputed Championship is THE championship.
Then what happens if he were to lose? Cody says if he as the top champion were to lose, then maybe we question, who really main events WrestleMania? Who will a Royal Rumble winner will choose? This stresses Cody out because you don’t wanna be the one to devalue the most valuable thing in this game. Cody does not feel that will happen, though. Cathy says she looks forward to the match, congratulates Cody on his run so far, and they shake hands. The American Nightmare is ready, but will he see Gunther isn’t just great on paper but in reality?
Backstage interview with Nia Jax.
Cathy Kelley is now with the WWE Women’s Champion and says a lot of moving parts in the match with Liv Morgan. Liv is known to bring friends such as Raquel Rodriguez and Dominik Mysterio. And Nia’s “friend,” Tiffany Stratton said she might make an appearance, so how is Nia feeling? Nia is feeling great, but clearly everyone is obsessed with her since they wanna be involved with whatever she’s doing. And she is not worried, she will squash Liv, squash Raquel, and even that roach, “Dirty” Dom. And Nia isn’t worried about Tiffany. This is not Tiffy Time yet, but when it is, Tiff will do the right thing. For now, she’ll sit back and watch.
Okay, Nia is super busy, is this over? It can be… Bye. Nia heads out, will the Irresistible Force be truly unstoppable?

Cathy catches up to The Mega Star, and says this is quite the birthday weekend for him with the Triple Threat title defense. How does he feel having this title defense for the first time in Saudi Arabia? Knight says here we are in Saudi Arabia once again, so LEMME TALK TO YA. Talk about his birthday, what he didn’t do is celebrate. His celebration yesterday was spent in the gym, spent in his hotel room, and spent thinking about what he’s gonna do. Oh, and how he “soiled the Cheerios” of one Nick Aldis. Aldis got hot over Knight ruining Game 7 for Andrade El Idiot and Carmelo Hayes. Melo is H1M, but H1M did miss.
And H1M will miss again because tonight, Knight walks in. Triple Threat changes the game a bit, no Champion’s Advantage. They can pin each other, they can pin him, he can pin any of them, there is no advantage. 33.3% chance, no need for Steiner Math, but the odds are stacked against him, have been his whole time here, and nothing changes. He walks in champ, walks out #AndStill champ, with everybody saying L! A! Knight! YEAH!

Six Man Tag: Roman Reigns & The Usos VS The Bloodline!
A moment many thought would never happen has happened, as The OTC has reconciled with Jimmy & Jey! Things are still going to be tense between them all, but they’ve agreed that it is family above all. Will the original Bloodline be the ones? Or will Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga prove that they are the only?
The fans already chant for “O T C! O T C!” even before his entrance. Then everyone cheers as Roman steps out on stage, Jimmy by his side. Roman & Jimmy raise their ones and the pyro goes off. Then Jey makes his entrance on his own, and from the crowd! The fans sing and bounce along, “It’s Just Me, Uce! Day One Ish!” Though, that’s a much longer trip than usual because this arena is massive! Jey makes it to ringside and the singing just gets louder and the “YEET! YEET! YEET!” just goes harder! The teams sort out and the fans boo as Solo holds up the ula fala. Solo has Tonga Loa keep hold of it, and then Tama steps in.
The fans chant for “O T C! O T C!” and Roman and Jey talk it out. The “YEET! YEET! YEET!” comes through as Main Event Jey starts. The bell rings, the fans rally up, and Jey circles with Tama. Former Right Hand Man meets current Right Hand Man, and they stare down. THey tie up, Tama gest around to CLUB Jey, CLUB again and again, then stomp away! The fans boo but Tama CLUBS Jey again. Tama CLAWS Jey’s back, the ref reprimands, but Tama CLUBS Jey again. The fans rally up, Tama drags Jey up, and Tam afires body shots. Tama backs Jey down to a corner, then whips corner to corner.
Jey goes up and over, UPPERCUTS Tama, and the fans fire up! Jey says “YEET!” then back body blocks, and GAMANGIRIS! Tama sputters and Jey brings Tama over. Jimmy says c’mon, Uce. Jey holds his hand out, Jimmy tags in! The Usos whip, DOUBLE ELBOW, then shake hands to DOUBLE ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Tama is tougher than that but Jimmy stays on him. Tama fires a foreamr, a headbutt, and more! Tama tags Jacob, and they DOUBLE HEADBUTT Jimmy down! Jacob tells Jimmy to get up, then CLUBS and stomps him down! The fans boo but the Samoan Werewolf says, “I LOVE you, Solo!”
jacob ROCKS Jimmy, whips him to ropes, but Jimmy holds ropes. Jimmy BOOTS Jacob, Jey tags in! GAMANGIRI! Jimmy UPPERCUTS, Jey UPPERCUTS! Jimmy dodges Jacob, Jey mule kicks! The Usos pop ‘n’ lock together, to DOUBLE UPPERCUT! Tama runs in, The Usos dodge and DOUBLE LARIT! Solo steps in, but he hurries back out when he sees double superkicks! The fans boo Solo as he regroups with Loa and the others. Roman smirks while Solo’s Bloodline game plans. Solo says take them out! Jacob storms in to stare down Jey, but Solo says no, let Tama handle him. Jacob obeys, Tama tags in, but Jey arm-drags!
Fans chant, “We Want Roman!” and Jey brings Tama up. Roman reaches out, Jimmy says go ahead, Uce. Jey tags Jimmy instead. Well, the tensions are still high, so The Usos DOUBLE HEADBUTT Tama. Jimmy says they squashed the beef, they shouldn’t be so hesitant to- CHOP BLOCK from Tama! Tama DDTS the leg! Jimmy writhes, that is the leg that kept Jimmy out of action for months. Jacob tags in to drop HEADBUTT after HEADBUTT, and then a SENTON! The fans boo but Jacob runs corner ot corner, to HIP ATTACK Jimmy! Jimmy flounders on the apron, fans chant “You Suck!” but Solo tags in.
Solo takes his time going over to Jimmy, and brings him up to taunt Roman and Jey. Solo HEADBUTTS Jimmy down, throws hands, and the fans chant “We Want Roman!” Solo taunts Roman that he is NOT Tribal Chief! Solo HEADBUTTS Jimmy again and again, then whips Jimmy to ELBOW him down! The fans boo as Solo raises the one to the sky. Solo CHOKES Jimmy on ropes, the ref counts, and Solo stops, only for Tama to get a cheap shot in! The fans boo but Solo throws hands down on Jimmy. Solo tags Tama, and Tama watches Jimmy. Jimmy rises up, Tama runs in, STIRNGER- NO, Jimmy dodges the splash!
Hot tag to Jey and the fans fire up! Jey fires hands on Tama, “YEET! YEET! YEET!” Jey pops, locks, puts some stank on it, and DECKS Tama! The fans fire up again as Tama staggers around. Tama blocks a kick, but not the DRAGON WHIP! Tama ends up in a corner, Jey has the fans chant “UCE! OH!” HIP ATTACK! Cover, TWO! Tama survives and Jey grows frustrated. The fans rally for Jey as he watches Tama rise. Jey fireman’s carries, but Tama CLAWS Jey’s eyes! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Jey ELBOWS free. Jacob tags in to POP-UP SAMOAN DROP! Jacob is fired up but the fans boo, Jacob SENTONS!
Jacob taunts Roman, then he drags Jey up at the ropes. Jacob CHOKES Jey, the ref counts, and Jacob stops so that Solo can get a cheap shot HEADBUTT! Jimmy protests and the fans chant for Roman, but Solo tags back in. Solo and Jacob split the wishbone on Jey! Solo mocks the yeet bounce, then scuffs Jey. Jey reaches out but Solo stomps Jey’s hand! Solo HEADBUTTS Jey, taunts him, and stands him up. Solo fires hands and HEADBUTTS Jey in the corner. Tag to Jacob and they mug Jey. Jey falls over, and Jacob says, “Solo! We LOVE you!” Jacob clamps onto Jey with shoulder claws, and he taunts Roman & Jimmy.
The fans rally as Jey endures. Jey reaches out but Jacob turns him away from his corner. Jey fires body shots, Jacob shoves him back! Jacob UPPERCUTS Jey, tags Tama, and then snap suplex to slingshot SENTON! Tama taunts Roman & Jimmy, “Yeah yeah yeah yeah!” Tag to Solo, and Solo drags Jey up. Solo puts Jey in the corner, but Jey fires hands on him and the rest of the Bloodline! Jey fires more hands, but Solo DECKS Jey! Tag to Tama, and Tama BLASTS Jimmy off the apron! Tama taunts Roman, circles Jey, and brings Jey up. Jey hits as JAWBREAKER! And a LARIAT! Both men are down and the fans fire up!
Jey and Tama crawl, hot tags to Solo and Roman! The fans erupt as the Tribal Chief meets the Tribal Chief! Solo fires up and fires hands, but Roman fires back! Roman ROCKS Solo, Solo ROCKS Roman, repeat! Solo HEADBUTTS, Roman LARIATS! And LARIATS! Roman whips Solo, Solo reverses but Roman LEAPING LARIATS! The fans fire up with Roman and he clinches, to URENAGE! Solo flounders, Roman raises the one, and the fans cheer. Roman locks ‘n’ loads, then watches Solo stand. SUPERMAN- NO, Solo catches Roman! Roman slips free, shoves, SUPERMAN PUNCH! The fans fire up as now Roman goes to the corner again.
Roman lets out the battle cry, “OOOAH~!” But Solo KICKS the spear away! SAMOAN SPIKE!! Cover, JIMMY BREAKS IT IN TIME!! Tama runs up, Jimmy TOSSES him out! SUPERKICK! Tama falls, Jacob is back! SUPERKICK from Jimmy, but Jacob just shrugs it off! SUPERKICK and then an IMPALER DDT! Jimmy tumbles out, but Main Event Jey steps to the Samoan Werewolf! Jey dodges, SUPERKICKS! Jacob stays up, so Jey SUPERKICKS again! Jacob falls, Roman is up! Solo swings, Roman dodges, Jey SUPERKICKS Solo! SUPERKICK for Jacob again! Jey hurries to DIVE! But Jacob catches him!
Jacob HEADBUTTS Jey, Roman is stunned! Solo storms up, into a SUPERMAN PUNCH! The fans fire up, Roman takes aim, but Tama gets in! Roman TOSSES Tama, but Tama hits the ref! Loa gets up, SUPERMAN PUNCH! Jacob gets up, SUPERMAN- NO, Jacob blocks to HEADBUTT! And BODY CHECK!! Jacob puts Roman in the drop zone, BEST MOONSAULT EVER! Then Jacob DIVES to take out The Usos! The fans are fired up, they wanna see Sami Zayn!? Solo drags Roman up, SAMOAN SPIKE again!! But Solo is not done! ANOTHER SAMOAN SPIKE!!! Cover, SOLO’S BLOODLINE WINS!!

The fans are stunned! The little brother is no longer the little brother, he is the man standing tall over Roman Reigns! His Bloodline, his band of brothers, has proven the superior! But then Roman revives, reaching for the ula fala! Jacob, Tama & Loa go after him! Jimmy rushes in, he gets mugged! Jey is still down, and Solo’s Bloodline clears off English commentary! The fans boo, but Solo has Loa & Jacob set Roman up. But Jey is back to fire hands! The Bloodline mugs Jey, and they toss him into the ring! The Guerrillas of Destiny beat Jey down, and Jacob brings in a chair! The fans boo, they don’t like where this is going!
Loa RAMS Jey into a corner, and then Solo puts that chair around Jey! BUT WAIT! Here comes Sami Zayn!! The fans fire up as the former Honorary Uce is here! Solo says okay, come on then. Sami gets in the ring, he stares Solo down while standing between him and Jey. The fans sing Sami’s song, but solo tries to reason with Sami that Roman’s side was the side that mistreated him. Solo would not do that. Solo offers a hug? The fans chant “SAMI USO!” as Sami looks to Jey. Jey sputters with the chair around his neck, but Solo still offers that hug. Sami says sure, he’ll hug. Then EXPLODER!!
The fans fire up as Sami fires hands on The Bloodline! But that’s still too many! Wait, Jimmy is up, as is Roman! They and Jey turn the tides! Roman TOSSES Jacob! Jimmy TOSSES Loa! Jey TOSSES Tama! Solo is left all alone, surrounded by the OG Bloodline & Sami! The fans love it as Solo realizes that for himself! Solo tries to reason with them, but too little, too late. Roman and Sami both run up, but Sami dodges! HELLUVA KICK takes out Roman!! Solo dodges and laughs at them! That’s what they get! Jimmy is upset with Sami now but Jey vouches for him. Accidents happen, they all know that.
But the bottom line is, Roman, Jey, Jimmy and even Sami all failed to take Solo down. Will it take them all to figure this one out?
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships Fatal 4 Way: Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill VS Iyo Sky & Kairi Sane VS Chelsea Green & Piper Niven VS Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson!
It was Clash at the Castle where The StrongEST Duo lost, because it was a Triple Threat. They then came back and conquered the Tag Division in another Triple Threat. So now, the only thing that can stop them is a Fatal 4 Way! Will there be new tag team champions one way or another? Or can Bianca & Jade defy the ever rising odds?
The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see if the strongest are truly the best!
In this kind of Fatal 4, only two teams are legal at a time, so The Evil Genius steps to Bianca. They tie up, Bianca waistlocks, and SLAMS her down! Bianca drags Iyo up again, but Iyo slips under and around. Iyo tilt-o-whirls to sunset flip, but Bainca rolls through. Things speed up, Bianca handsprings and says kiss this! Iyo runs up, but Bianca wrenches to a suplex! Bianca holds Iyo up, marches in place, then SLAMS Iyo down! Bianca kips up, the fans fire up, and Bianca handsprings, but Iyo avoids the moonsault! Iyo runs up, flips over Bianca’s back, then wags her finger. Things keep moving, Bianca dodges Iyo’s handspring!
Bianca pops Iyo up but Iyo RANAS! And DROPKICKS! And kips up! The fans fire up with Iyo, but then Chelsea tags herself in. So Iyo SHOETEIS the Hot Mess! Bianca RAMS Chelsea into her corner, and again, then climbs up. Bianca hits Chelsea, hits Piper, repeat! Then Bianca backflips away, pops Chelsea up, SPINEBUSTER! Bianca runs and handsprings to hit the MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Meta Four hesitated but they’re lucky Chelsea survived. Jade tags in, and the StrongEST Duo double scoop! The fans continue to sing and chant and move around as Cody goes for a leg. Gunther blocks the takedown, drags Cody up to snapmare, but Cody wrenches out. Cody hammerlocks, the fans cheer this technical exchange, and Gunther fights up. Cody leans on the arm, wrenches through, but Gunther snapmares free. Cody arm-drags Gunther back down! The fans cheer as Cody has the armlock. Gunther fights up, powers Cody back and arm-drags, but Cody holds on to arm-drag again! Cody has the cording hold but Gunther endures. Gunther fights up, scoops Cody, but Cody wrangles Gunther again!
Cody grinds the shoulder but Gunther fights up. Gunther puts Cody on ropes, whips him, then runs him over! The fans fire up as Cody stands, but into a headlock takeover! Gunther grinds the hold, Cody keeps his shoulders up, and Cody fights around. Cody fights to his feet, wrenches the hold open, but Gunther clamps back on for another takeover. Cody headscissors but Gunther shrugs it off. Cody keeps his shoulders up, fights back to his feet, and he powers Gunther to ropes. Gunther grinds the hold tighter! Cody wrenches free, but Gunther back suplexes! Cody lands out, dragon sleeper, but Gunther snapmares!
Gunther has the SLEEPER but Cody arm-drags free right away! The fans fire up and the two have a standoff. The fans are rowdy as they’ve been all night, and the two reset. Cody and Gunther tie up, Gunther powers Cody back but the fans still sing. “Cody, Cody Rhodes~! Cody, Cody Rhodes!” Gunther lets off slowly, but Cody blocks the chop! Cody JABS, JABS, JABS, and then flip, flop- CHOP! Gunther takes Cody down and he mockingly revels in the cheers! The fans boo Gunther’s sarcasm but Gunther stomps Cody around. Gunther drags Cody up to CLUB him! Gunther whips Cody to ropes, but Cody ducks ‘n ‘dodges to FOREARM!
Gunther stays up so Cody keeps moving, Gunther hurdles! Cody kicks low, drops down, RHODES UPPERCUT! Cody LARIATS, but Gunther stays up! Another LARIAT, but Gunther still stays up! Cody CLOBBERS Gunther out of the ring! Cody runs to WRECK Gunther with a dropkick! The fans fire up and Cody builds speed again! Cody gets caught int he SLEEPER! Cody hurries to SLING Gunther out, then DIVES! Gunther catches Cody! Gunther RAMS Cody into the apron, CHOPS him, then scoop SLAMS him to the floor! The fans fire up while Gunther leaves Cody behind. The ring count can still win the Crown Jewel title, but Cody rises.
Cody rolls in at 5 of 10, but Gunther is right on Cody in a corner. Gunther digs his knee in, lets off, and he soaks up the cheers and jeers. Gunther whips Cody, but Cody slides under! Cody tries to scoop but his back gives up! Gunther CLUBS Cody down! And HIP DROPS! Gunther soaks up more cheers and jeers, then he goes back for Cody. Gunther drags Cody up, UPPERCUTS, but Cody fires a forearm! They go back and forth, but Cody gets the edge! Only for Gunther to scoop and SLAM! Gunther paces while the fans rally up. Gunther mocks Cody a bit more as he stalks Cody to a corner. Gunther ROCKS Cody, then brings him up.
Gunther whips Cody to corner, runs up, but into a BOOT! Cody runs up, scoops, but falls under Gunther’s weight! Cover, TWO! Cody stays in this, the fans sing more, and the fireflies are out for Cody. Gunther clamps onto Cody with a chinlock, and he grinds Cody down! Cody endures, fights up, but Gunther shifts to a chinbar and chicken wing! Cody fights, fires body shots, and he frees himself. But Gunther CHOPS Cody on the back! Cody falls against ropes, but Gunther goes out to the apron. Gunther BOOTS Cody back into the ring! The fans rally up and dot he wave for Cody as Gunther CLUBS the arm.
Cody staggers to ropes, but Gunther HEADBUTTS him to a corner. The wave keeps going but Gunther ROCKS Cody. Gunther toys with Cody but Cody flops out of the ring. Gunther mocks the wave, the fans cheer, and Cody rolls into the ring. Gunther drags Cody up, wrenches, and CHOPS! And CHOPS again! Gunther wrenches, winds up, but Cody manages a scoop! And a SLAM! Cody’s back still bothers him, but he huffs ‘n’ puffs and fights through the pain! The fans fire up as Cody brings Gunther around. Cody suplexes Gunther, and holds him up! Then GOURD BUSTER! Gunther flounders, the fans rally again, but then Gunther scoop SLAMS Cody fast!
Gunther hurries up a corner, but Cody hurries to hit him first! Gunther and Cody brawl as Cody climbs, “This is Awesome!” as they fight for control up top. Cody CLUBS Gunther, brings him up, and hits a SUPER DUPER PLEX! Both men are down and the fans continue to rally. Cody drags himself up, then tells Gunther to get up. Gunther rises, Cody runs and RAMS Gunther! Gunther stays up, Cody baits him into a corner! Cody goes and over and SNAP POWERSLAMS! The fans fire up as now Cody JABS! JABS! JABS! Flip, flop, fly, and a BIONIC ELBOW! The fans are thunderous for “DUSTY! DUSTY!”
Cody springboards, CODY CUTTER!! Cover, TWO!! The fans are thunderous as Gunther survives and Cody fires up. Cody has Gunther on the ropes, and here’s one from the Rhodes playbook, the BELLY KICK! Cody leaps, but Gunther catches him! BOSTON CRAB!! Cody endures, but then Gunther YANKS him into a SLEEPER! Cody flails, ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, but Gunther GERMAN SUPLEXES! And back to the SLEEPER! Cody is reliving last night as he’s stuck in the body scissors! Cody fights against the legs wrapped around him! Cody fights up, Gunther leans on the hold, and the fans continue to rally.
Cody is fading! The ref checks, and Cody revives! Gunther is frustrated but he squeezes as tight as he can! Cody fights up, Gunther leans on him again, and Cody still stands! JAWBREAKER! But Gunther is back! SLEEPER! JAWBREAKER again! Gunther still comes back, but Cody spins him around! CROSS RHODES!! But Cody can’t make the cover! “This is Awesome!” as both men sputter on the mat. Gunther runs up, to SHOTGUN Cody into the buckles! Then a GUNTHER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!!! Cody survives and the fans continue to rally! Gunther sits up, growing frustrated with Cody.
Gunther drags Cody up, CHOPS him, then stalks him to ropes. Gunther talks smack, then CHOPS Cody again! Cody staggers to a corner, Gunther eggs him on. Gunther slaps Cody, taunts him, but Cody shoves back! Cody fires up, so Gunther CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOSP! Cody fires haymakers, forearms and CHOPS of his own! But Gunther SLEEPERS! Cody SAIDO SUPLEXES! The fans fire up as Cody rises again, and he runs, into a LARIAT! Gunther winds up, but Cody catches him! CROSS RHODES!! Cover, TWO?!? Gunther survives and Cody is beside himself! The fans rally and Cody rises first, and he says just one more!
Cody fires up, the fans are with him, and Cody dragon sleepers Gunther, but Gunther snapmares free! CHOP! Cody roars, dodges, goes up, and up, and SUPER CODY- SLEEPER!!! Gunther caught Cody, but Cody rolls it back! Cover, CODY WINS!!
Winner: Cody Rhodes, by pinfall (2024 Men’s Crown Jewel Champion)
Gunther is furious because he got caught by a technical move! Der Ring General may be King of the Ring, he may be the World Heavyweight Champion, and he may have set the new record for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, but he does not make history here tonight! That distinction belongs to The American Nightmare! But even so, Gunther shows Cody respect by shaking his hand. Will we see these two battle things out again in the future?
As for now, Triple H welcomes members of the Saudi Arabia royal family as they bring the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship into the ring. Cody is honored to hold this belt, even if it’s just for this moment. Cody will also receive a diamond ring in the near future, will it be just the first of many? Liv returns to hold up her Crown Jewel Championship, as well, big photo op seeing both inaugural Crown Jewel Champions together. The belts are raised, the pyro goes off, will the WWE and Crown Jewel only grow bigger and better from here?
My Thoughts:
A great Crown Jewel here, even when those gigantic belts aren’t going to go anywhere. Though, this is pro-wrestling, the belts are all just props in stories, so whatever. In the end, it’s just the Saudi royal family showing off their wealth by making two mostly identical 250 carat belts. The diamond rings Cody and Liv will receive are sure to be just as shiny. And at the same time, a little surprised it was Cody and Liv. Well, less so with Cody, because Gunther does have a point about who is the “quarterback” in WWE. But since Cody would win and represent SmackDown, it makes sense to have Raw win the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
And as such, it was also logical that there would be overbooking in Liv VS Nia. Tiffany wanting to cash in, Nia misunderstanding, then Raquel & Dom showing up, it all made it clear Liv was winning. Tiff will just have to wait until either Monday Night Raw (which still happen in Riyadh, not sure if prerecorded) or deal with Nia’s wrath on SmackDown. I kinda want Tiff cashing in on Raw so that she doesn’t even have to worry about Nia ever again. As I said for SmackDown last night, Tiff can then take Rhea’s place in the feud with Liv while Rhea’s orbital bone heals.
The other championship matches were awesome, even with keeping the status quo. Knight, Andrade and Melo were going real fast, real furious, but what an awesome finish of a combination BFT and La Mystica. Knight wins over Melo, so you would think Andrade can make a case that he and Knight need to settle things 1v1, probably at Survivor Series. The Women’s Tag Fatal 4 was so good, the only real mishap was Iyo not making it up top from that throw. Honestly, it should’ve been Iyo tossing Kairi up, because look how easy Lash picked Kairi up. But Jade & Bianca retaining was quite the surprise, if only because it was a Fatal 4. Not sure who finds a way to win now if Jade & Bianca outdid three teams at once. Unless… Ladder match?
Rollins VS Bronson was great stuff, including the brawl just beforehand, and I’m also a little surprised Rollins won. But at the same time, a great detail of Bronson rising up after, still not truly defeated. It might be a bit soon to do another Last Man Standing after Bronson and Braun had theirs, but for now, Rollins is moving on to a Fatal 4 Way #1 Contender’s match that is part of that advertised Raw in Riyadh. Rollins, Priest, Dom, Sheamus, that’s going to be great stuff, and a part of me feels like Judgment Day is gonna cheat Dom to a win the same way they just cheated Priest last week.
Kevin VS Randy was also great, and that’s because it was just brawl. Kevin and Randy can of course have an awesome match, but why do that when these two are just pissed with each other and ready to fight? The elbow drop through the table was a great end to the brawl, and when these two have a true match, it can be a No Disqualification type match, like Falls Count Anywhere or Street Fight. And then regardless of who wins, we have a challenger for Cody. I’m also curious as to how Kevin’s stunner on a ref and Orton’s RKO on Adam Pearce will come back to bite them. Kudos to Pearce taking an RKO, though.
And then, The Bloodline opening the night was really interesting, but it was all a great match. The fans definitely knew where all this was going for the most part, though, as they were chanting for Sami while it was still Solo’s Bloodline beating down the OGs. Sami pulled of a great swerve on Solo, but then it was a great detail that Roman and Sami screwed up the rest. This has to make it to Survivor Series and be the Men’s WarGames match, so Jey will have to get Jimmy & Roman to accept Sami somehow. That will be a great moment to see, and then the 4v4 WarGames will be awesome, and perhaps be the opening for Hikuleo to make his debut, as he’s the one Guerrilla of Destiny we’ve been waiting on.

The WWE Women’s World Champion is the inaugural Women’s Crown Jewel Champion, mostly thanks to the two standing by her side, Raquel Rodriguez and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio. These three go to the ring together, and Liv grabs a mic. Liv welcomes us to Monday Night Morgan, and please, please, please wants a warm welcome for the new Crown Jewel Champion, LIV. Liv shows off that brand new Crown Jewel ring, and says the revenge tour is over. We are now on the Liv Morgan WORLD Tour! The fans are torn on that, but Liv says just this week alone, she defeated Tiffany Stratton, then took out Rhea Ripley for the third time!
Don’t like that? Well, this time Liv made sure Rhea is gonna be gone for a very, very, very long time. Then she traveled halfway across the globe to beat Nia Jax and become the new, first and only Women’s Crown Jewel Champion! The fans chant, “We Want Rhea!” but Liv says too bad! Liv’s done everything she ever said she was gonna do, and has proven she is the GREATEST Women’s Champion of all time~! The fans boo but then Dom has a mic, and they boo louder. Dom says when he wins tonight, he- JADE CARGILL is here!? The fans fire up as the Women’s Tag Team Champion is here, and then here comes BIANCA BELAIR!
The fans fire up as THE WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions step into the ring to step to Liv & Raquel. Bianca grabs a mic to say Liv isn’t the only one who won at Crown Jewel. But hey, don’t forget about that confrontation from last week. Bianca & Jade are tired of waiting. If Liv & Raquel want a piece of the tag team champions, then here they are. The fans like that, but Liv says wow. They were in the middle of a celebration before being interrupted. And then, if Bianca & Jade won, why’re they coming out all angry? Oh… Liv knows why. Is it because Bianca thinks she’s the biggest, strongest, fastest, toughest, roughest, and the best?
Well, the problem with that is… Jade thinks the same about herself. So they can pretend they get along, unlike Liv & Raquel who have a real friendship. The only thing keeping Jade & Bianca together are the titles. Bianca sees what Liv’s up to, and it won’t work. But if Liv wants to put this theory to the test, then why not have the match tonight? Aw, well, Liv doesn’t know. Raquel, what do you think? Raquel says this was more of a celebratory night, so- Here comes Adam Pearce! The fans fire up as the Raw General Manager asks everyone step back a moment. Dom, you, too. They’re not starting Raw like this, everyone needs to calm down.
Liv says yeah, get them outta HER ring! Listen to the boss! And Jade, watch out for the knife Bianca will stab in your back. Oh, sorry, Bianca, you mad? You gonna do something? Well you’re not, so- Bianca SLAPS Liv right down! Pearce says stop it! Liv, no! Pearce says before this devolves into more chaos, he was coming here to make an announcement. What Liv & Raquel did to Rhea last Tuesday was disgusting! And they don’t think there’s some new #1 contender to the Women’s World Championship? Think again! Liv will defend that title, because tonight is a battle royal! The winner will be the NEW #1 contender to Liv’s title!
Raquel says bring anyone on, she’ll stop them! But Pearce says hold on, because it gets bigger than that. This battle royal will also have the tag team champions! And biggest of all, it starts right now! The fans fire up while Raquel & Liv freak out! But here comes the rest of the roster! DMG CTRL may have missed out on the tag titles, but can one of them skyrocket right to the top? Or will someone else win the golden ticket to the Liv Morgan World Tour?

Raw returns and Lyra Valkyria makes her entrance, joining Zelina Vega, Natalya, Pure Fusion Collective’s Sonya Deville and Shayna Baszler, as well as Kayden Carter, Katana Chance, Maxxine Durpi, Ivy Nile and the Unholy Union. That with Iyo, Kairi, Bianca and Jade, that makes 15. The bell rings, the fight is on and the fans fire up! Maxxine and Ivy brawl, but then Katana & Kayden each climb a corner? They DOUBLE CROSSBODY four people! Then Kayden MONKEY FLIPS Katana to SENTON Natty! Then the same to IVY! The fans fire up, but then the Unholy Union CLOBBER KC Squared!
The fans rally and sing while Maxxine struggles against The StrongEST Duo! Kayden DUMPS Isla, but she holds onto Katana! Katana KICKS a leg, Kayden SHOTGUNS Isla, they ELIMINATE Isla! Alba is busy with Lyra so Natty TOSSES Kayden! She whips Katana but SILLY STRING sends Katana back at Natty! Shayna has Kayden in a KIRAFUDA CLUTCH! Katana makes the save, but then SOnya KNEES Kayden down to ELIMINATE her! Sonya drags Katana off Shayna, but Maxxine DUMPS Shayna! Maxxine goes after Sonya with a SPLASH in the corner! Sonya is down, and the fans fire up! Maxxine winds up, but Shayna grabs at Maxxine!
Maxxine slips free from her oversized Alpha Academy jersey (still wearing a full bodysuit underneath) and she BOOTS SHayna ! Shayna flops over, and then Maxxine hits the INVERTED CATERPILLAR on Sonya! The fans fire up but then Alba scoops Maxxine! Maxxine lands safe on the apron, Alba SLAPS her! Maxxine ROCKS Alba, RAMS into her, but Ivy DROPKICKS Maxxine down to ELIMINATE her! The fans boo but Ivy calls Maxxine a loser. Liv taunts all the losers, and Zelina LEAPS t Ivy! Ivy catches Zelina, puts her on the apron, but Zelina grabs her with a HEADSCISSOR! Ivy dangles, Zelina 619s Ivy down to ELIMINATE her!
The fans fire up as La Muneca waves bye to the Diamond Pitbull. But there’s still a lot of chaos in this battle royal as Raw goes to break.
Raw returns again and things have really trimmed down. We just have Natty, Kairi, Iyo, Jade, Bianca, Lyra, Kayden & Katana. DMG CTRL is working on Natty, PFC works on the StrongEST Duo, and Lyra hangs back in a corner. DMG CTRL double whip Natty, then DOUBLE DROPKICK! The fans fire up, and now StrongEST Duo has turned things around on PFC! Lyra joins in to go after Sonya! DMG CTRL hit the POP-UP INSANE ELBOW! The fans fire up with DMG CTRL, but while Kairi has Natty, Bianca RAMS Iyo! Bianca and Iyo fight, Natty picks Kairi up! Kairi holds onto ropes, even as Natty CLUBS her!
Kairi RAMS Natty, Bianca bumps Iyo off buckles. Kairi AX KICKS Natty, goes up, but Jade DECKS Kairi to ELIMINATE her! Raquel is there to taunt Kairi, and Sonya DUMPS Natty! Natty ROCKS Sonya, but Shayna KNEES Natty down and ELIMINATES her! The fans boo but then StrongEST Duo DUMPS and ELIMINATES PFC!! Wakanda Forever, Black Girl Magic! The fans chant for Jade & Bianca as they stare down Iyo and Lyra. They circle, and the tag champs get surrounded! The brawl is on, Iyo with Jade and Lyra with Bianca! “This is Awesome!” as Jade DECKS Iyo then saves Bianca.
Jade ROCKS Lyra, then she and Bianca double scoop! They SLAM Lyra down! Bianca runs at Iyo, but Iyo BOOTS her! Jade runs in, Iyo RAN- NO, Jade stops the rana! Bianca helps SWING Iyo into buckles! Then Jade & Bianca each TOSS someone! Lyra and Iyo both hold onto ropes! The fans fire up because now Jade and Bianca see each other. Will these two have to fight it out after all? But then Lyra & Iyo are back! The brawl is on, but then Jade & Bianca get Iyo and Lyra! JADED and KISS OF DEATH!! Bianca TOSSES Lyra, but Raquel grabs the braid! Jade saves Bianca from being screwed over!
The fans boo Raquel but Liv helps out! Liv & Raquel YANK The StrongEST Duo out to ELIMINATE them!! The fans boo and Liv talks trash, but now Jade & Bianca have no reason to hold back! They chase Liv & Raquel into the crowd! As for Iyo and Lyra, our final two, Iyo hits Lyra with SHINKANSEN! Iyo TOSSES Lyra but Lyra stops from going out! Lyra ROCKS Iyo, throws her out, then sweeps the legs! Iyo sits on the apron, but Lyra runs up! Iyo DUMPS Lyra out! Lyra holds onto ropes but Iyo CLUBS her hands! Lyra SWEEPS the legs! Both women are on the edge and the fans fire up! Iyo UP KICKS Lyra!

Backstage interview with The New Day.
Cathy Kelley is with Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods. Last week, the War Raiders became the new #1 contenders to the WWE World Tag Team Championships in a win over both The LWO and New Day. It feels like Woods & Kofi aren’t on the same page. Tonight, New Day gets a 2v2 match with Erik & Ivar, how did this match come about? Woods says honestly, the New Day should’ve won. They should be fighting for their WWE World Tag Team Championships. But unfortunately, Chad Gable felt the need to get involved and that led to the War Raiders winning. Woods approached the to explain the truth, the Raiders didn’t like it, so here we are.
Kofi’s face says otherwise, and Cathy asks his thoughts. Kofi says he agrees the War Raiders didn’t win straight up, but it wasn’t because of Gable. Woods asks what’s the problem. Kofi fumbled the ball, Woods picked it up and ran with it. Oh, Kofi fumbled? How? Because he got pinned. Um, there is literal footage of what really happened. Yeah, and it’ll show Woods attempting to neutralize the Hall of Famer, Rey Mysterio! The video gets taken over by the Wyatts…! It’s of the Miztourage days! Miz telling Bo Dallas & Curt Axel that he’d make them stars that their legendary families could be proud of.
But now, MIZ IS THEIR CAPTIVE!! He is the serpent with the forked tongue, searching for those he can deceive. He whispers into their ears, laying eggs of false promises and lies. Seek and ye shall fine. Miz says they have this all wrong! Bo wants Final Testament, Miz is NOT with them! This is all one big misunderstanding! Miz wants to forget it all. Bo leans on Miz and laughs. BO never cared about Final Testament. They wanted Miz all along. Miz begs but Miz says he shall crawl on his belly through thorn and thistle, burdened with the pain he inflicted on others, as you beg and plead for mercy, until you return to the ground. For dust you are, and dust you shall return.
Miz is left in darkness and despair, what will it be that saves the Hollywood A-Lister from his sins?

The fans fire up with the War Raiders as they stand tall, and Raw goes to break.
Raw returns and Ivar grinds Woods down with a chinlock. Woods endures, even as Ivar leans on the hold. Ivar has a neck wrench now, but Woods fights up. Woods fires body shots, but Ivar shoves Woods to ropes. Woods grabs ropes, BOOTS Ivar, then ROCKS Erik! But Ivar HEEL KICKS! Cover, TWO! Ivar tags Erik, and the Raiders haul Woods up. Erik dodges Kofi, TOSSES him a to a corner, but Kofi goes up and up to CROSSBODY!
Erik gets up, he kicks Kofi low, then runs, but Kofi catches him! S O S! Cover, Ivar breaks it! Ivar then runs at Kofi, but Kofi DUMPS Ivar! Kofi builds speed to FLY! Direct hit on Ivar, the fans fire up with Kofi, and Kofi climbs a corner! Kofi leaps, Erik gets under! But Kofi comes back to AX HANDLE! The fans fire up for the “NEW~ DAY~!” BOOM DROP! Kofi fires up more and the fans are with him! Kofi aims from a corner, “NEW! DAY ROCKS! NEW! DAY ROCKS!” But then Woods tags himself in! Kofi is annoyed but Woods says still hit him! But then Erik DECKS Kofi! Woods ROCKS Erik, steps in, but Erik turns the DDT into an URENAGE!

The fans cheer as the Great Liberator, the Master Strategist, the Underdog from the Underground, makes his way to the ring. But this wasn’t his first appearance in Riyadh this week, as Sami showed up during Crown Jewel in an attempt to help one of the Bloodlines. The fans sing Sami’s song, and then Sami welcomes them in Arabic, to the first Monday Night Raw IN Arabia! The fans love it! Sami then says in English that he cannot tell us how proud he is to be in front of HIS people and speak their language on WWE TV.
But that’s not why he’s here tonight. He is here to address what happened with him, Roman Reigns, and The Bloodline at Crown Jewel. But before Sami can elaborate, here comes Main Event Jey Uso! The fans go just as nuts for Jey as he makes his way down the ramp. The bouncing is on, but Jey is in a much more serious mood. The fans “YEET! YEET! YEET!” and Jey has a mic. Jey says before Sami says his part, Jey wants to thank Sami for having his back. Jey watched back the footage of when Sami kicked Roman in the face. Sami needs to be 100% honest with Jey on this: Was that an accident?
Sami looks surprised Jey would even ask, but then here comes Jimmy Uso! #BigJim storms down to the ring, in an even worse mood than Jey. Jimmy asks Jey, “What’s wrong with you? You saw what I saw. Everybody in this whole world at Crown Jewel seen what we saw. We watched Sami Zayn kick OTC dead in the face on purpose.” Jimmy is pissed, Roman is pissed, and Jey should be pissed! They can’t trust Sami! OH, Sami can’t be trusted!? Does Sami need to remind Jimmy of his own track record? Remember this: Before Sami and Jey, it was Sami and Jimmy! They were dawgs, they were brothers, and JIMMY brought Sami into the family!
The fans chant “UCEY! UCEY!” Sami points out that the second things went sour, Jimmy kicked Sami in the face! And then when things went sour for the rest of them, they kicked Roman in the face! And when Jey had a chance to do things on his own, Jimmy kicked Jey in the face. We worrying about Sami? Nah, man. Oh, like Jimmy owes Sami an explanation? Jimmy is NOT the bad guy here! Fans chant for “SAMI USO!” Sami says Jimmy doesn’t get it, does he? Jimmy might not believe this, but Sami doesn’t hate him. He doesn’t. Sami never has. And no, Jimmy is not the bad guy, but he makes bad decisions.
Sami came out for one person: Jey. Sami wanted to make sure Jey was okay. The fans cheer that. Sami says he won’t lie, for a minute there, when it was them all fighting side by side, it felt like old times. It felt special. The fans again chant “UCEY! UCEY!” Sami says for that one minute, it was good. But that’s how long it lasted. It was a minute. Just like every time when it’s the four of them. Sami is not being question, not being put on trial, he is not doing this again. Sami loves the Usos, but he cannot do this again. Sami is out. The fans are stunned as Sami walks away. The fans chant “NO! NO! NO!” but then Jey calls to Sami.
Jey says he is asking Sami, to please come to SmackDown so that all four of them can talk this out like family. Jimmy says Sami AIN’T family! Jey says he was wrong. Just because Sami isn’t blood doesn’t mean he isn’t family. Sami IS family! The fans cheer that! And right now, Jey says Jimmy Uso, he sees Jey Uso, and he sees SAMI USO! The fans love it! Sami tries not to smile, even as the fans “YEET!” Jey says he hopes to see Sami on SmackDown, brother. Sami takes his leave for now, but will we truly have the OG Bloodline back again?
Backstage interview with Seth Rollins.
Jackie Redmond is with The Visionary and congratulates him on his win over Bronson Reed at Crown Jewel. That was a battle there. And it also earned Rollins his spot in tonight’s Fatal 4 Way. Rollins has Jackie “pump the brakes” there. It was a hell of a performance on Saturday, by Rollins. But what earned Rollins his spot is his résumé! The last 20 YEARS of Rollins’ career! And, who Rollins is. We’ll get to who Rollins is in a minute, but let’s talk about who Bronson Reed is here. Rollins will tell us that Bronson is as advertised. Bronson took everything Rollins had, asked for more, and Rollins respects that.
Rollins knows, no doubt in his mind, Bronson and Rollins will do the dance again. But that is the distant future because Rollins has gold on his mind! And tonight, three of the very best today, and Dominik, will duke it out for a crack at Gunther and the World Heavyweight Championship, the title Rollins put on the map! And after Crown Jewel, what Rollins went through, Rollins knows exactly who he is. He is a Visionary, he is a Revolutionary, and you know he is SETH! FREAKIN’! ROLLINS! Raw returns and Gable makes his entrance, Ivy Nile by his side. The bell rings and the fans chant at Gable, “YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!” Gable and Lee circle, they tie up, and Gable waistlocks to SLAM Lee! Lee lands on his face even! Lee gets up, but Gable picks him up to THROW him away! Gable then gator rolls Lee around, floats around, but the fans rally for Lee. Gable slaps Lee around, headlocks, but Lee fights up. The fans continue to rally and Lee powers up and out. Gable pulls on the mask! The fans boo but Gable has the headlock. Lee wrenches out of the hold, but Gable uses the mask to throw Lee down!
The fans boo but Gable soaks up the heat. The ref reprimands about the mask, and Lee runs up to flying headlock takeover! Gable fights up, powers up, but Lee holds onto the singlet! Turnabout is fair play! Then Lee SNAPS the strap on Gable! Gable swings, misses and Lee uses the singlet to SNAP Gable in the butt! Gable swings, misses again, and Lee RANAS! Gable goes to a corner, Lee runs up, but Gable puts him on the apron. Lee blocks a shot to ROUNDHOUSE Gable and SMACK him off buckles! Gable staggers, Lee climbs up, and Lee CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Gable stays in this but the fans rally for Lee.
Lee stalks Gable to an apron, but Gable ROCKS Lee! Lee ROCKS Gable! The forearms go back and forth, then Lee V-TRIGGERS Gable! Gable staggers back, Lee runs up, but Gable BACKDROPS Lee to the floor! The fans boo Gable but he soaks up the heat, and Raw goes to break.
Raw returns again and Gable has Lee up top., But Lee shoves Gable into a Tree of Woe! Lee then WOE STOMPS Gable down! The fans fire up and Lee goes to another corner. Lee runs back in, but Gable OVERHEAD SUPLEXES Lee into the corner! Gable stands Lee up to CHOP him down! And CHOP him down! And CHOP him down! Gable whips, to then BACKDROP again! Cover, TWO!! Lee survives being literally thrown around, and the fans rally as hard as they can. Gable runs back in at Lee, but Lee dropkicks legs out! Gable hits buckles, but he gets up. Gable runs in again, but into an ELBOW!
Lee mule kicks, then fires off forearms! Lee whips, Gable reverses, but Lee CLOBBERS Gable! Lee scoops but Gable slips free. Gable shoves Lee, but Lee pops Gable up! SUPERKICK while Gabler’s upside-down! The fans fire up and Lee runs back in, JUMP KICK! Leg sweep! SWINGING DROPKICK! “This is Awesome!” as Lee then takes aim. Shoutout to his hermano, BULL’S HORNS DROPKICK! Cover, TWO!! Lee is frustrated but Zelina coaches him up. Lee drags Gable up, reels him in, but Gable resists the lift. Lee still brings Gable up but Gable slips out! Gable ROCKS Lee, so Lee takes his elbow pads off!
Lee fires forearms, Gable gives them back! They go back and forth, hard and harder! Gable ROCKS Lee, then runs up, but into a SNAP GERMAN! Gable stands right up!? The straps come down, GERMAN SUPLEX! But Lee is right back up!! Lee and Gable switch again and again, and again, and then Gable GERMAN SUPLEXES! Gable holds on to GERMAN SUPLEX! And then a GERMAN- NO, Lee fights with elbows! Lee and Gable crawl, both Zelina and Ivy worried for their teammates. The fans rally up and Lee climbs a corner! But Gable springs up after him! SUPER DUPER BELLY2BELLY! And then Gable has the crucifix, for a CLIFFHANGER DDT!! Gable has feet on the ropes! Zelina shoves them off!! The fans fire up as Zelina keeps Gable from cheating, but then Ivy catches Zelina into the DIAMOND DRAGON SLEEPER! But wait, here comes Rey! The King of Lucha won’t let this stand, but then Ivy wants to get in the ring!? Gable grabs Rey’s mask! Rey KICKS Gable away! And into OPERACION DRAGON!! Cover, Lee wins!!

Jackie Redmond is now with Der Ring General, Gunther, and his lieutenant, Ludwig Kaiser. Jackie says things didn’t go how Gunther wanted at Crown Jewel, but what are his thoughts on the match and Cody Rhodes becoming the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion? Kaiser answers first, what are we even doing here? Why is she bothering to ask Gunther questions about the undeserving Cody Rhodes? Cody was nothing but lucky on Saturday! Gunther has Kaiser stand down. Gunther and Cody may disagree on a lot of things, but that wasn’t luck and Cody is not undeserving. On that night, Cody was the better man.
Jackie then asks about the World Heavyweight Championship contender’s match tonight. Gunther says yeah, it is three very capable performers, and Dom. Seth Rollins, that speaks for itself. Damian Priest could make for another difficult match-up. And of course Sheamus. Well, Kaiser knows about that, right? Kaiser thought he’d take care Sheamus. But whoever is the winner tonight, Gunther is still World Heavyweight Champion. And after Saturday, Gunther realized that it is his responsibility to do better. They both have to do better. Gunther heads out, and Kaiser has a lot to think on. Will Imperium still find a way to rule over Raw, no matter who comes at them?
WWE World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender’s Fatal 4 Way: Seth Rollins VS Damian Priest VS Sheamus VS Dominik Mysterio!
This is a star studded battle of former world champions, and the Judgment Day’s dirty little troublemaker. Dirty Dom may have been SmackDown Tag Team Champion, and NXT North American Champion, but that was always with someone by his side. Dom needed his dad, he needed Rhea Ripley, he needed The Judgment Day as a whole, but can he actually handle business all on his own? Or will he still need to stack the deck to overcome these odds?
Raw returns as Dirty Dom makes his entrance, and is surprisingly on his own. Next out is The Celtic Warrior, which leaves The Visionary to “BURN IT DOWN” last. The fans sing along, “WHOA~ OH~ OHH~!” as Rollins again has the denim-and-leather duster. The bell rings and Priest storms up on Dom. Dom bails out but Priest pursues! Sheamus and Rollins tie up, and Sheamus headlocks for a takeover. Rollins headscissors, Sheamus kips free, then Sheamus headlocks again, but Dom slips back in. Dom bumps into them and shoves Sheamus. Now Sheamus chases Dom! Priest is there as Dom bails out again, but then Rollins goes out the side.
Dom finds himself surrounded, but Sheamus has Dom on the ropes! Priest and Rollins both say have at it! Sheamus winds up for BEATS OF THE BODHRAIN! The fans count along, all the way to TEN, then past that! Rollins rolls Priest up! Sheamus stops beating up Dom to stop Rollins! Rollins fires hands, Sheamus scoops, but Rollins slips free, Sheamus ELBOWS Rollins, Priest ROKCKS Sheamus! Priest reels Sheamus in, Sheamus turns that into a fireman’s carry, but Rollins mule kicks Sheamus! Rollins reels Sheamus in but Priest choke grips Rollins! SOUTH OF- NO, Rollins slips free! Rollins dodges Priest, BOOTS Sheamus, but then dodges Priest again!
Sheamus drags Priest out, they brawl, and Rollins builds speed! Rollins DIVES and he takes them both down! The fans fire up as Rollins now DIVES onto Dom! The fans fire up and Rollins keeps moving! Another DIVE onto Sheamus and Priest! The fans fire up with Rollins and Raw goes to break!
Raw returns again and Dom is standing tall! The fans boo as he gives some Latino Heat. Then Dom slingshot SENTONS onto Priest! Cover, ONE!! Dom stomps away on Priest, then he DROPKICKS Sheamus off the apron! Dom DROPKICKS Rollins on the other end, and then fires hands on Priest. Dom soaks up heat as the fans boo more, then he throws down hands on Priest. Dom tunes out the booing to fire more hands, then he gets space. Dom runs back in, to go up and up to TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO! Rollins slides in but Dom stomps him back out. Dom rains down fists on Priest again, but Priest hits back!
The fans fire up but Dom SUPERKICKS Priest! And then NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Priest stays in this but Dom throws his shirt at Priest. Priest is annoyed as Dom talks trash. Dom fires hands, saying he already beat Priest once. Priest gets mad and he ROCKS Dom! Dom CHOPS! Priest snarls and the fans fire up! Priest blocks a shot, to LARIAT Dom down! And again! Dom dodges one but runs into a FLAPJACK! The fans fire up with Priest and he fires off KICK after KICK! ROLLING ELBOW! HAYMAKER! Dom is down and the fans fire up again! Dom goes to a corner, Priest runs in, BACK ELBOW! FLATLINER!
The fans fire up with Priest as he powers up his arm. Dom rises, Priest runs, but Sheamus pushes Dom down to then clinch Priest! IRISH CURSE BACKBREAKER! Rollins returns, but he gets an IRISH CURSE! Dom runs up, but into an IRISH CURSE! The fans fire up for the Fella, and he puts Dom in a drop zone. Sheamus climbs up, and the fans cheer him on! Sheamus KING KONG KNEE DROPS on Dom! Cover, but Rollins springboards to SENTON onto it! Priest ROUNDHOUSES Rollins! Rollins PELES Priest! Priest rebounds to LARIAT Rollins down! The fans fire up as all four men are down around ringside, and Raw goes to break!
Raw returns yet again and Rollins trades shots with Sheamus! The fans rally as the shots speed up! Sheamus mule kicks, front kicks, then runs, but into a ROLLING ELBOW! Rollins sees Priest and rushes over, but Priest ROUNDHOUSES Rollins first! Sheamus LARIATS Rollins up and out! Priest choke grips Sheamus but Sheamus fights free! Priest ducks an elbow to BELL CLAP! But then KNEE CAP! Sheamus fireman’s carries for the WHITE NOISE! Cover, TWO!! Priest survives and the fans fire up again! Dom is lurking, and he runs up to DROPKICK Sheamus onto ropes! Fans boo but Dom dials it up!
But Sheamus scoops Dom! POWERSLAM! The fans fire up with Sheamus again as he aims from a corner! Sheamus beats his chest, the fans hoot along, BROGUE- SUPERKICK from Rollins! Sheamus tumbles out, but Dom rolls Rollins up! With tights! TWO!! Rollins is free, he kicks low, and he PEDIGREES Dom down!! The fans are fired up again and Rollins takes aim. The singing returns, but then BRONSON REED POSTS SHEAMUS! And he WRECKS Priest! The fans boo as Auszilla won’t leave Rollins alone! Rollins DROPKICKS Bronson first! They brawl, but Bronson CLOBBERS Rollins!
Bronson clears off the desk! The fans are torn, but then Priest ROCKS Bronson! Sheamus KNEE CAPS him! Bronson ends up in the ring, Sheamus chases after Bronson, but Bronson CLOBBERS him! Priest ROCKS Bronson, but then Bronson fireman’s carries Priest! DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Sheamus is back up, Bronson gives him a DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Bronson then goes up a corner! The fans boo and Dom watches in horror as we see a TSUNAMI! Then Bronson goes up another corner, TSUNAMI for Sheamus!! Bronson roars, the fans boo, but then Bronson goes after Rollins! Bronson puts Rollins on the desk!
Bronson goes up the barriers, and it’s a sequel from months ago! TSUNAMI through the table!! The fans are torn but mostly freaking out as Bronson has wrecked three former World Heavyweight Champions! And Dom is a vulture! He FROG SPLASHES Sheamus!! Cover, PRIEST BREAKS IT!!! The fans are thunderous that Priest refuses to let Dom steal one! Dom is furious, he dials it up, 619 for Priest! Dom goes up, to FROG- SOUTH OF HEAVEN!!! Priest crawls to the cover, PRIEST WINS!!
Winner: Damian Priest, by pinfall (NEW #1 Contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Champion)
Dom almost won another one with help, but nothing could stop The Punishment! Priest fought through the pain to become a contender, will he fight through that and then some to once again be El Campeon?
My Thoughts:
A great Raw here with lots of action that also pushes story forward. Great opening segment with Bianca & Jade confronting Liv & Raquel, with a very good segue into a battle royal. A little surprised Raquel didn’t try to be in it so she could win and then just let Liv win the title match. At the same time, Raquel would then lose the battle royal and she can’t look weak so this is fine. We get a much better set up for the tag title match, who knows who wins. But Iyo coming out the battle royal winner was a touch surprising. At the same time, Iyo is awesome, she’s already been WWE Women’s Champion so it’d be great if she is the first woman to hold both new era belts.
Very good promo from New Day to further their dysfunction, and great “interruption” by Bo Dallas to have his promo with Miz. I do appreciate they’re bringing up Miztourage/The B Team, and great dramatic irony for Miz. We all figured Bo was after Miz but he sure didn’t. The matches will still be Wyatt Sick6 VS Final Testament but this is such great storytelling. Very outside the box for what you’d usually get. And then New Day VS War Raiders was really good stuff. The New Day’s dysfunction cost them again, which gives War Raiders momentum going into the title match with Finn Balor & JD McDonagh, that will be great stuff.
Great bit of Bloodline storyline here tonight, as obviously the Usos were going to confront Sami on what happened. Sami is on Jey’s side, Jey is on Sami’s side, and everyone live clearly loved Jey calling him “Sami Uso.” SmackDown will have a great follow-up to this, but I think they’ll drag out the process of Roman and Sami forgiving each other so that it’ll be a big moment when the four of them unite to officially give us the WarGames match. Gable VS Lee was awesome stuff, but I was legit a bit afraid from those overhead throws. Lee somehow kept his head from hitting too hard every time. Great overbooking move with Ivy, Zelina and Rey, and great win for Lee. With the Intercontinental Championship being in the background right now, Dragon Lee VS Bron Breakker would make a great match.
And great stuff in the world title story. Good promo from Rollins to compliment Bronson, good promo from Gunther to compliment Cody, and I like that they both belittled Dom. It was a bit of false foreshadowing, where I really thought Dom would find a way to win. For one, Bronson showed up and wrecked everyone, especially Rollins, and there is the set-up for a rematch of Bronson VS Rollins, likely at Survivor Series. Priest being the one to win, they can certainly revisit Priest VS Gunther just a few months ago, I just hope Judgment Day doesn’t bother since they have to focus on the tag titles. Honestly, Dom can even try and go for the Intercontinental Championship, too, something Finn won’t want to betray him over.

He welcomes us live to Collision in Philadelphia, but he is not alone! Daniel Garcia, The Conglomeration, The Outrunners, FTR, and pretty much ever team in AEW are all here, because we are welcoming in the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions, Private Party! Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy already have drink service going as they strut past La Faccion Ingobernable, The Premier Athletes, MXM Collection, Grizzled Young Veterans and Shane Taylor Promotions (which now includes The Infantry for those who missed last Thursday’s ROH). Quen & Zay go to the ring to join their VIPS in the ring.
Schiavone welcomes them to the ring, and says Private Party turned out one of the most tremendous performances he has seen. The fans chant, “You Deserve It!” and even the other AEW stars clap along. Schiavone says after a seven MONTH reign, The Young Bucks lose so that Quen & Zay become the champs. Quen & Zay say they can’t hear Schiavone, the fans are saying something. “You Deserve It!” Okay, okay, real talk, they love y’all. At the beginning of this year, Private Party came in and said, “New Year, New Champs.” Well, it took them a long, long time, but Philly, we did it! The fans cheer that!
Zay says he even swore on his mom that they were gonna win, and Philly, when a man swears on his mama, you better believe it. Now, Matthew, Nicholas, Young Bucks, Private Party wants to thank you for making them earn this. Because every time they get in the ring with The Bucks, Private Party has gotten better, and better, and better, and they have the titles to prove it! And with that said, you probably wanna know what’s next, right? Well, Philly, here’s what is next. Not shots, no, that’s later. Zay promises. But speaking of shots… They are willing to defend these titles up against anybody and everybody. And they mean everybody!
Quen & Zay stare down FTR as the #TopGuys, and they start shoving! Garcia steps in for Private Party and the Outrunners step in for FTR. Truth Magnum wants everyone to take it easy, take it easy. If they’re anything like Truth, and Truth knows he is, then you came here for one reason and one reason only: To celebrate the five year journey of Private Party! The fans all cheer that! Tell ’em, Turbo! Turbo says what’s in the past is in the past, Bucks are gone, the Party is here. That was their time then. Now it’s Private Party’s time! And the sign outside doesn’t say “FTR” or “Private Party,” or even “Outrunners.” It says A E W! Where the best teams wrestle!
The fans fire up for that! The teams all hug it out because yes, this is about good times, not grudges. And so with that said, the party is never gonna end! Because everyone knows there ain’t no party like a Private Party, and that’s a flex. The fans cheer, but the teams on the stage don’t really care. Will one of those teams come looking to ruin the party?

“Mariah, you said you couldn’t be beaten? Well I can, I have, and I will. Philly, get ready for your new AEW Women’s World Champion.” The Queenslayer is ready to take the throne, but will she still not be THE Star of the Show?
Backstage interview with The Acclaimed.
Renee Paquette is with Max Caster & Anthony Bowens and says they gotta talk the AEW Tag Team Division. A lot has changed, such as the NEW AEW Tag Team Champions being Private Party. The Acclaimed are the winningest team in AEW, what is their take? Bowens says he doesn’t say this often, but from the Scissor King to Private Party, he congratulates them. They’re even proud of Private Party as fellow homegrown AEW stars. BUT! Do not let that fool you. The Acclaimed is the best tag team to ever do it in this company! And they are coming back for those titles.
Caster says THAT’S RIGHT! Two time champs and they’ve been doing this all year. Now, just because it is Private Party and not the Young Bucks, hey, there’s a lot in common here. But what’s not in common is that Quen & Zay do not have the Best Wrestler Alive on their team! And everyone knows that when Acclaimed and Private Party lock up, there is only one outcome possible. And why is that? It’s because EVERYONE loves The Acclaimed! Uh, Caster kinda took Bowens’ line from him, even after cuing him up… Caster wants to get serious. Private Party are still come-up, the fans haven’t really taken to them.
But the fans, they love The Acclaimed. If the fans loved Private Party like they love The Acclaimed, then Quen & Zay would have friendship bracelets comin’ out the wazoo like Caster. And Caster also gets money! Hard earned cash! Wait, does he still have the Hurt Syndicate card? Oh, that’s to Caster’s final point. Private Party does not have the attention of MVP, him begging them to join like he is The Acclaimed. Oh, and as for the answer to that, Caster says, “I dunno. I dunno.” But what Caster does know is that Private Party, when those belts are on the line, it’s time to- Now Bowens interrupts to say “NUT UP, OR SHUT UP!”
Why? Because EVERYONE loves The Acclaimed! There’s some passive aggressive dysfunction going on here. Do Caster & Bowens need to worry about each other before they worry about gold?
Day of the Dead Match: Thunder Rosa VS Harley Cameron!
La Mera Mera did not appreciate this Outcast mocking the face paint that represents this solemn tradition. Will Rosa celebrate those who have passed on by adding Harley to the list? Or will this insane Aussie actually get one over the former AEW Women’s World Champion?
The bell rings and Harley is not intimidated by the display around the ring. Harley shoves Rosa, Rosa SHOVES back! The fans fire up, but Harley knees low. And kicks! And ENZIGIRIS! Harley says SHE is La Mera Mera now! But then Rosa storms up behind her, and says no she’s not~! Rosa THROWS Harley, then Harley comes back. Rosa dodges, arm-drags Harley, and mule kicks! Then ENZIGIRI! The fans fire up with Rosa and she watches Harley go to the apron. Rosa runs, and she WRECKS Harley with a dropkick! The fans fire up more as Rosa brings Harley around. Rosa SMACKS Harley off the apron, then CHOPS!
Rosa brings out a trash can lid, but also a board. Tribute to R. Smooth and a SMACK to Harley! Then SMACK with the trash can lid! Harley writhes, but Rosa SMACKS her again! Rosa drags Harley up to CHOP and knuckle lock. Rosa goes onto the railing, but she does need some help. Fans help her balance, and she tightrope walks, only for Harley to YANK her down! Rosa lands on railing, then Harley throws her down from the railing! Harley CHOKES Rosa, insists she is the new La Mera Mera, and then brings her up to whip into steel steps! Harley brings the board with the lovely panting on it, then goes back for Rosa.
Harley whips, Rosa reverse, and Harley goes through the board! Rosa says SHE is La Mera Mera! The fans fire up and Collision goes picture in picture.
Rosa dumps another painted board onto Harley, then stomps it apart on her! Harley is stuck in wood wreckage while Rosa grabs a trash can. Rosa puts the can in the ring, slides in a few other things, then adds chair after chair. Rosa brings out a TABLE! The fans like that as Rosa puts that in the ring. Rosa goes back for Harley, SAMCKS her off the apron, and Harley falls and flounders. Rosa brings out a chair, and she SMACKS Harley! Harley writhes, and Rosa DIGS the chair into her! Rosa drags Harley up again, SMACKS her off the apron, then POSTS her! Rosa storms up but Harley JAWBREAKERS back! Then RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS to the floor!
Harley covers, but this isn’t Falls Count Anywhere. Harley puts Rosa in the ring, drags her around, and clamps on with a SEATED COBRA TWIST! Rosa endures, fights up, and fires body shots. But Harley grinds Rosa into a modified abdominal stretch! Rosa endures, fights with fists, and Collision returns to single picture right as Rosa hip tosses Harley! Rosa CHOPS Harley, runs, but Harley LARIATS! Harley runs, but Rosa follows to LARIAT! Rosa runs but Harley LARIATS again! Harley runs, Rosa LARIATS again! Rosa fires forearms, then runs, but Harley dodges! Both women come back, DOUBLE FACEBUSTERS!
The fans fire up while both women are down! Rosa rises, she finds Harley, but Harley fires a forearm first! Rosa hits back! They go back and forth, shot for shot, and then Rosa has the edge! CODE BREAKER! Harley flops back, Rosa drags her to a cover, TWO! Rosa is annoyed but she goes for a chair. Rosa sits that chair up, then adds another. Those chairs face each other, then Rosa goes out to look for more. She brings in the big painted skull board, and she puts that across the chairs like a bridge. Rosa grins and she looks for Harley. Harley SMASHES a pinata on Rosa’s head! And again! And again! The candy is everywhere!
Harley drags Rosa up, suplexes, and Rosa crashes down through the board! Cover, TWO!! Rosa survives and the fans fire up! Harley SMACKS Rosa off a chair, then again, then again! Harley sits Rosa down and again shouts Harley is La Mera Mera! Harley runs, but Rosa dodge! Harley crashes into just chair! Harley hobbles, Rosa has the chair, and she SMACKS Harley on the back! And SMACKS her again! Harley writhes, but Rosa has the trash can! The trash can goes around Harley, and Rosa KICKS, KICKS and KICKS! Rosa treats Harley like a heavy bag, then RAMS her into a corner for more KICKS!

Lexy Nair is with Roderick Strong, Mike Bennett & Matt Taven and notes Roddy has his match with Shane Taylor tonight. This counts to MJF’s challenge, but Roddy shouts “SHANE!” Roddy knows Shane is a bad man, but he is just an obstacle on the road to Full Gear. As bad as Adam Cole wants to get his hands on MJF, Roddy wants that even more, because he wants to beat MJF within an inch of his life! Then Adam can finish the job. But enough about MJF, let’s talk about The Kingdom! Big win on Rampage last week, and Adam Cole is better than ever. But before Cole gets his second win on Wednesday against Malakai Black, Roddy needs his first!
Taven agrees. The Kingdom has made the changes that needed to be made. The Kingdom wants those AEW World Tag Team Championships, but tonight is about Roddy, the wrestling legend! But then Brian Cage & Lance Archer walk in. Why is Lexy wasting time with amateurs? They’re on the road to Max? Please. There is a road of devastation The Machine & Murderhawk Monster are on! City after city! Archer tells them all to sit their asses down while they watch a real tag team at work. Because as Archer says, #EverybodyDies! Taven asks who even are those Melvins. Will these two teams be on their own Collision course when it comes to the tag titles?

The Protostar thinks Will Ospreay is a coward just for not showing up after being hurt so bad he’s bedridden. But will Kyle be able to focus on his own business here tonight? Or will the Commander of the Skies make Kyle his third win in as many days between ROH, Rampage and Collision?
Kyle takes his time with his elaborate entrance attire, acting like he’s Tetsuya Naito fused with Taichi or something. The bell rings and Kyle throws his pants at Komander, to then BOOT him down! The fans boo but Kyle dusts himself off. Kyle paces while Komander flounders. Kyle smirks as he drags Komander up, and he scoops Komander to swing and TOSS! Komander flounders to a corner while the fans boo, and Abrahantes coaches him up. Kyle soaks up the heat, and he storms over to drag Komander up. Kyle CHOPS and Komander sputters as he goes to a corner. Kyle scoops and SLAMS Komander again!
Kyle paces, then looms over Komander. Kyle scoops Komander, puts him in the Tree of Woe, and he pushes on the legs. Kyle then KICKS away on Komander’s chest! The ref counts, Kyle sneaks kicks in while arguing. Kyle soaks up more heat while Komander flops out of the Tree. The fans rally but Kyle drags Komander up. Kyle whips corner to corner, runs in, but Komander dodges! Kyle hits buckles, but he keeps after Komander. Komander ducks ‘n’ dodges him, but springboards into Kyle’s arms! Kyle pops Komander up, but Komander crucifix takedown! TWO, and things speed up! Tilt-o-whirl RANA! DROPKICK!
The fans fire up as Komander has Kyle in a corner. Komander CHOPS, but Kyle gets mad! Komander CHOPS, but Kyle puts Komander in the corner. Komander dodges to CHOP, CHOP, and CHOP! Komander knuckle locks, KICKS, CHOPS, and goes up, up, and around, only for Kyle to SHOVE Komander down! Komander hits railing and the fans boo! Kyle grins then storms out after Komander. Kyle brings Komander up to APRON POWERBOMB! Kyle leaves Komander behind to flex, and fans boo while Collision goes picture in picture.
Komander writhes but is somehow still in this. Kyle taunts the fans, then fetches Komander off the floor. Kyle dusts himself off, drags Komander up, and runs him into railing! Kyle paces while he soaks up more heat. Kyle drags Komander up, puts him in the ring, and then takes his time stepping inside. Komander crawls but Kyle stalks him to then stomp him. Kyle stomps Komander at the ropes, the ref reprimands, but Kyle digs his boots in. Kyle flexes before stepping away, and Kyle mockingly apologizes. Kyle soaks up more heat from the fans, and Collision goes to break.
Collision returns and Kyle has Komander back in the Tree of Woe. Kyle runs corner to corner, but Komander sits up! Kyle goes up but Komander has him for SUPER SLICED BREAD! The fans fire up as Kyle bails out. Komander builds speed to slide, but Kyle slides in! Kyle DIVES and sends Komander into the desk! Kyle throws Komander into the ring, then eh BOOTS Abrahantes just because! The fans boo but Kyle smirks. Komander sees that and is pissed! He goes up and up to ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Down goes Kyle and the fans fire up! Komander checks Abrahantes, and Abrahantes says don’t worry about him, go after Kyle!
Kyle is in the drop zone, Komander climbs ups! But Kyle runs in, so Komander leaps over! Kyle scoops, Komander slips free to mule kick, SUPERKICK, and run! Kyle swings, Komander dodges, but then Kyle blows throw Komander’s lariat! Kyle runs in, into a SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO!! Kyle survives and Komander is stunned! The fans rally up, Komander aims, and he runs in at Kyle to go up and up and MOONSAULT! INTO BOOTS!! Kyle hauls Komander up, for a LAST RIDE!! Cover, TWO?!? Komander survives, that wasn’t the last one after all! Kyle seethes, and he drags Komander back up.
Kyle underhooks, and then smirks. The fans boo because they know what he’s doing. TIGER- RANA!! Cover, TWO!! Komander almost had Kyle! But Kyle scoops, only for Kmoander to slip free! Kyle hits buckles, Komander goes up and up, POISON- NO!! Kyle blocks, and he flips Komander up, but Komander RANAS Kyle out to the floor! But Kyle lands on his feet and keeps hold! So Komander POISON-RANAS Kyle to the floor!! The fans go nuts, “This is Awesome!” Komander puts Kyle in, but Kyle clings to ropes. Komander goes to the apron, blocks a kick to KICK, KICK, and APRON DESTINO!?!
Komander shoves Kyle into the ring, then hurries up, up and MOONSAULT!! Cover, TWO?!?! Kyle survives and no one can believe it! But Komander hurries to run in again, but into a LARIAT!! Kyle seethes, foams from the mouth like a rabid animal, and he runs corner to corner! GAMANGIRI!! Then Kyle puts Komander up top, climbs, TOP ROPE- NO, Komander slips free! Komander KICKS a leg out, Kyle hobbles, and Komander springboards! FLYING DESTROYER!!! Kyle flops out of the ring and the fans are thunderous! Kyle sits up in a daze but Komander aims from the far side of the ring!
Komander tightrope walks for the DOUBLE JUMP MOONSAULT!! Down goes Kyle but Komander puts him int he ring. Fans are still losing their minds, but Komander goes back up. CIELITO- NO, Kyle hits the ropes enough to trip Komander up! Kyle drags Komander off ropes, for a BRAINBUSTER!! But Kyle won’t let it end here, he wants to do damage! Kyle stands Komander up, runs in, GAMANGIRI!! And then with a sinister grin, Kyle puts Komander up top. Kyle climbs up, for the TOP ROPE BRAINBSUTER!!! Cover, Kyle wins!

Kyle leaves, because he’s leaving Mark behind. But will Dunkzilla have to be the one to slap some sense into The Aussie Arrow?
Jack Perry speaks.
“A lot’s changing these days. Some for the better, and some remains to be seen. The only thing that-” Daniel Garcia interrupts by stepping in. Garcia says don’t be scared, he just wants to talk. What he wanted to do was come into Perry’s little hideout, grab him by the throat and push him against the wall again. But then he realized he needed to be nice and try a different approach. Aggression isn’t the best way to communicate with someone like Perry. Because someone like Perry and someone like Garcia, they’re very different people.
Perry was handed everything in his life since he was a kid, up until right now. But Garcia has been dealing with “pretentious pieces of trash like you” his entire life. What would Perry ever know about someone like Garcia? Honestly, he wants to know. Perry says he knows Garcia because he’s been Garcia. Everything Garcia believes in, Perry already believed. Perry already fought for everything Garcia thinks he’s fighting for now, because this was Perry’s dream. Just like it was Garcia’s. And Perry gave his everything to this because he loved it. Because he needed it. But it turned its back on him all the same.
But Perry sees this now for what it really is, and Garcia has seen just as well as Perry what kind of person succeeds here. Garcia has seen firsthand who his heroes really are. And yet Garcia still thinks there’s good and bad? “They” can’t even tell the difference. But Garcia is afraid to be the person he has to be, to sacrifice everything for what he loves, and that is why he is not ready. Perry leaves, but will Garcia come to understand what he’s talking about?

The teams sort out and Cage starts against Keys. The bell rings and Cage CLOBBERS Keys! Then he BLASTS Smith! cage whips Keys corner to corner, UPPERCUTS, then GAMANGIRIS! Then GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up with Cage and he tags Archer. Archer bumps Keys off buckles, t hen runs corner to corner to ELBOW! Archer keeps moving, and he ELBOWS Keys again! Keys sputters, but Archer runs to ELBOW him again! Archer then short arm LARIATS Keys down! Keys dodges the next one, hot tag to Shaun! Shaun springboards, Archer dodges, but then Shaun ducks ‘n’ dodges. Archer scoops him for a BOSS MAN SLAM!
Archer drags Shaun up, puts him up top, and he tags Cage before he CLOBBERS Shaun to the floor! Cage drags Shaun up the apron, and deadlift SUPERPLEXES! The fans fire up, but Keys is back! They said they’re on a path of destruction, and that means no mercy! Archer hoists Keys up, Cage RAMS into Shaun! BLACKOUT BOMB for Keys! DRILL CLAW for Shaun!! Archer laughs as he then drags Keys up and feeds him to Cage. But here comes The Undisputed Kingdom! They run Cage & Archer off, is this just a preview of what we’ll get down the line? And we again see Kyle O’Reilly watching. He may be Conglomeration, but he seems proud of his former friends for turning over some new leaves.
Backstage interview with AR Fox.
Lexy is with the Whole Fox’n Show and says he had such a great showing against Ricochet. What is next for him? Fox says he just has to get… Nick Wayne steps in, accompanied by his mom, Shayna, and new ally in Kip Sabian. Nick says, “Sup, Fox? Funny how I’m just now seeing you after all this time has passed.” It’s been a year, year and a half, right? A lot has changed since then. Nick has since learned from his “father,” Christian Cage, that you never, ever forget who wronged you, and to always hold a grudge. Fox’s biggest mistake was jumping him in the Wayne wrestling school last year.
But Nick is a man now. He’s changed! He’s not the little boy Fox used to know. Didn’t he see what they did to Hook? And on Wednesday, Hook is supposed to face Christian, but he might not even show up. Fox tells Nick to hold on. Hook or not, Fox will face Nick next week for Collision. Fox adds, “Don’t sleep on Hook.” Fox leaves, Nick laughs off that warning. But will Nick learn a lesson when he faces Fox 1v1?
Kris Statlander speaks.
“I’ve been replaying that moment over and over in my mind, and it really pisses me off. Mercedes, I’m sorry that I crushed your Brickhouse, that I tore up your safety net. But if you’re everything that you say you are, then me coming for your TBS title at Full Gear should be no big deal. You walk around here like you’re better than everyone in AEW who put in the work day in and day out. Yet, you shield yourself with your entourage as you run away and hide in your private dressing room. You’re afraid. Because you know that I’m locked in, and that the target is you. Be prepared to prove your worth, Mercedes.

The Maniac leads his brutal “Death Riders” in from the crowd. It’s just Wheeler Yuta & Marina Shafir right now, but surely Claudio Castagnoli & Pac can’t be far behind. The fans are torn, but Moxley is amused that he has fans cheering him on at all. Moxley has a mic to say, “We are live in Philadelphia…! The home of Orange Cassidy. Who in three weeks, says he’s gonna ‘cut the head of the snake’ and win the AEW World Championship. Orange Cassidy wants to be the king? Well, he’s got the right idea but it’s not that simple. See, Orange, the game doesn’t begin on November 23rd at Full Gear. The game has already begun.
“The question isn’t whether or not you can slay the dragon in the ring. The question is whether or not you can even make it to Full Gear, with your body and your mind in tact. Orange Cassidy brings the AEW World Championship home to Philadelphia! Wouldn’t that be something? Wouldn’t that be something for you all to be proud of? Philly, I’ve given you something to be proud of. I know Philadelphia better than most. I cut my teeth here, I know what kind of person it takes to make it in Philadelphia. Philadelphia is a city that produces champions!” The fans cheer that!
Moxley says Philly has hard nosed people with grit, guts and determination. People of unshakeable character! Like Wheeler Yuta! The fans are a bit torn on The Decoder, but Moxley says they are honest, hard-working people who do their job. Moxley loves Yuta, he would do anything for Yuta. Yuta understands sacrifice! Yuta understands putting ego aside for the mission, for the goal, for the objective. Yuta understands what it is to fight for something bigger than himself. Wheeler Yuta is a Philadelphia HERO! Wait, Action Andretti makes his way out here? Moxley is intrigued by Action saying he cannot listen to this for another second!
Yuta is a hometown hero? Action is pretty sure Philly thinks Yuta is NOT what Philly is about. From that scruffy beard, he looks like he came from Amish town, straight off a horse and buggy! And if you wanna talk about anybody representing Philly, talk about HIM, Action Andretti! And if there is one thing about Action and his people, when you’re in his city, they ain’t about talking. They’re about action! The fans cheer that! Action is here, by himself, and he ain’t here to talk. he’s here to throw hands with anyone from BCC right here and now! What’s up!? The fans boo but Pac stomps away on Action! Pac CHOKES Action against ropes! The fans boo but Moxley lets Pac have his fun. A ref is here, and it’s Philly’s own Bryce Remsburg. Action tells Bryce to ring the bell, so the match is on!

The bell rings, Pac CLOBBERS Action, whips him corner to corner, then back the other way! Action flops down, Pac storms up and he CHOKES Action! The ref counts, Moxley taunts Action, but Pac stops at 4. Action sputters but Pac talks trash. Pac BOOTS Action in the corner, CHOKES him again, then stops as the ref counts. Pac drags Action up to TOSS him out, and then Pac steps out to the apron. Pac looms over Action like a vulture, but Collision goes picture in picture.
Pac drags Action up, brings him around, and CHOPS him against railing! Pac taunts the fans, CHOPS Action again, and then talks more trash before he scoops and SLAMS Action on the floor! Pac soaks up heat, then goes back to Action. Pac refreshes the ring count to then drag Action up. Pac whips Action hard into railing! Pac storms up on Action to bring him up again. Then Pac THROWS Action into railing! Action flounders but Pac leaves him behind. Moxley mockingly coaches Action up, and Action drags himself to the steps. Action drags himself back into the ring, but Pac storms over to him.
Pac CHOPS Action, CHOPS him again, then follows him to a corner. Pac ROCKS Action, digs his boot in, but lets off as the ref counts. Pac drags Action from the corner, paces around him, but Action rises up. Pac drags Action up, reels him in, and snap suplexes! Collision returns to single picture as Action writhes. Pac watches him rise up, then runs in to UPPERCUT! Pac snapmares Action, taunts the fans, then clamps on a headlock. Action endures, fights around, and the fans rally up. Action fights up, but Pac whips. Action reverses, Pac reverses back, btu Action handsprings to BACK ELBOW! The fans fire up while both men are down!
Pac rises, Action crawls to a corner, and Philly is behind their hometown boy. Pac runs in, Action goes up and out to RAM into Pac. Action slingshots up and over, keeps on moving, ducks ‘n’ dodges again, to then DROPKICK! The fans fire up with Action now, and he builds speed to FLY! Down goes Pac and the fans fire up! Action puts Pac in, hurries after, and he climbs a corner to rain down fists! The fans count as Action gets to nine before Pac picks him up! Action slips free, dodges, Pac ducks a kick, but not the ENZIGIRI! Action runs, springboards, FLYING CHUCK! Action mule kicks, CHOPS, BUZZSAWS, and then suplexes for the FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO!
The fans rally up and Action goes to the apron. But Yuta distracts the ref! Marina JAMS Action in the leg with the briefcase! The fans boo but the ref missed it all! Action drags himself up in a corner, but Pac BOOTS him! Pac puts Action up top, then climbs up, for a SUPER DUPER PLEX! Action sputters but Pac just clamps on the BRUTALIZER!! Action TAPS, Pac wins!

Pac holds on, even after the bell! The fans boo and the ref reprimands but Pac won’t stop! Action is passing out, but here comes Orange Cassidy! Well, sort of. He’s in the crowd and the fans cheer. Cassidy says he has to say something real quick. “Go birds.” The fans cheer that. Cassidy says he loves Philly. So does Yuta. Remember all the times they had here? Remember when Yuta got started training and Cassidy helped him? Remember when Yuta fell on tough times, needed a place to stay, so he slept on Cassidy’s couch? They had a roommate. What was his name? Oh, yeah, Chuck Taylor. Does Yuta remember him?
Cassidy remembers that Yuta. The guy he’s looking at right now, that’s not him. The old Yuta would have never let anyone wrap a chair around his mentor’s neck and CRUSH it! The man in the ring now thinks that Jon Moxley, the guy who wants to BURN AEW down to the ground, cares about him!? Moxley does not care about Yuta, never has, and is just using Yuta. Cassidy needs to show Yuta and everyone else that Moxley is not the man he says he is. How does he do that? By putting a stop to all the false promises! In two weeks, just a few hours up the road via the 95, Full Gear in New Jersey.
Cassidy will bring back the old Yuta, bring back AEW, beat Moxley and become the NEW AEW World Champion! The fans fire up for Cassidy but Moxley and Yuta are both saying it won’t happen. Moxley tells Yuta to go get Cassidy, but Yuta says what does it matter. Moxley SLAPS Yuta and tells him to do it! Yuta reluctantly storms out after Cassidy, with a chair! Cassidy says hold on. He puts his hands in pockets! Yuta is annoyed, but Moxley tells him to just swing on him already! Cassidy says fine, if that’s what Yuta wants. Yuta hesitates, so Cassidy snatches the chair! Cassidy then dodges a punch to ORANGE PUNCH Yuta!
Moxley is pissed and now he hurries out there! Cassidy makes his way up the stands, and the fans cheer! Yuta is punch drunk from the Orange Punch, will Moxley end up like this in just three weeks?

Backstage interview with Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita.
Lexy is with The Don Callis Family’s Protostar & Alpha, and congratulates Kyle on the win. Kyle stops her there and says he is done talking about the past. Davis, Ospreay, they all wanna drag him into the past when he wants to look to the future. The Don Callis Family is looking into the future, and their future looks like gold! AEW gold at that. Private Party, congrats on becoming tag team champions, but it was only a few months ago when Kyle & Konosuke beat them in a match, so it is time for them to jump back into the Tag Team Division. There is no one Kyle wants to win those belts with than Konosuke, and they can even jump in this Wednesday.
And there is someone else Konosuke wants to get his hands on, right? Konosuke nods and calls out Ricochet in Japanese. Then in English, “Wednesday, I will end you.” Kyle says Ricochet can bring any one he wants, literally anyone, Kyle doesn’t care. The Don Callis Family heads out, will they completely take over AEW?
Lio Rush w/ Top Flight VS Ariya Daivari w/ Mark Sterling!
The Bad Child lost just last night on Rampage, but he is looking to turn things around and speed things up. Will he prove he is the Man of the Hour? Or will Daivari prove that the Premier Athletes Rule?
The bell rings, the fans boo as Daivari holds up the merch shirt, but then Daivari throws it to Lio. Daivari fires off on Lio in a corner, but lets off as the ref counts. Daivari scoops Lio to SLAM him, then says, “ATHLETES!” The fans say, “SUCK!” Daivari whips, Lio holds ropes then BOOTS back! Lio whips, Daivari reverses but Lio springboards to RANA! Lio runs to LARIAT Daivari in a corner, then he fires off hands! Lio stomps, the ref has him back off, but then Lio goes back for more! The ref counts, he has to pry Lio back, and Daivari runs up to LARIAT! Lio bails out, Top Flight has to back Sterling and Josh Woods off.
Daivari fetches Lio into the ring, then drags him up. Daivari fireman’s carries, but Lio slips free. Lio waistlocks, Daivari switches and goes for the full nelson. Lio slips under, ducks ‘n’ dodges ‘n’ redirects! Roll up, TWO! Daivari dragon sleepers for the REVERSE DDT! Cover, TWO! Lio stays in this but Daivari drags him up. Daivari CHOPS, but Lio CHOPS back! Daivari fires a haymaker, Lio fires a haymaker! They go back and forth, then Lio fires hands! Daivari kicks low, but Lio ROCKS him again! Lio whips, Daivari reverses but Lio fires off fast hands! Lio runs, but Daivari follows! Lio ducks then returns to LARIAT!

Daivari bails out, but Lio just hops down to build speed, and Lio DIVES! Woods takes the hit for Daivari! Lio hurries back in, and he DIVES to take out Sterling! The fans fire up but Daivari whips Lio. Lio swings, RANAS Daivari down, then hurries to put him back in the ring. Lio has Daivari in a drop zone, climbs a corner, but Daivari springs up! Lio jumps over, but Daivari wrenches him to DDT! Daivari slashes his throat and drags Lio up. Hammerlock and- NO, Lio ducks!
Lio shoves Daivari, then rebounds, RUSH HOUR! Daivari falls, Lio climbs, and it’s the FINAL HOUR! Cover, Lio wins!

Mansoor & Mason Madden POSE, then so does Johnny. MXM are impressed, and Lexy brings up how Johnny was watching MXM’s previous match. Johnny wanted this time so the floor is his. Johnny says little known fact: fashion saves more lives than doctors. And last week, Johnny made a trip to the ER. But Lexy wouldn’t know anything about that, she doesn’t live in Hollywood like Johnny. Johnny has been doing this a long time, he’s seen it all, and he’ll tell them that MXM has “it.” Mason says that means so much coming from Johnny. Mansoor says MXM is the gift that keeps on giving, and receiving. But words like that are a true gift.
Johnny says if they ever wanna collab, feel free to slide into his DMs. Johnny poses, and then he magically slides away! Mansoor says that man knows how to make an exit. Then MXM slowly lower down off screen. But then will MXM join TV in taking AEW by storm?
Roderick Strong w/ The Undisputed Kingdom VS Shane Taylor w/ Shane Taylor Promotions!
We heard the Savior of the Backbreaker speak earlier, and he is looking to get started on his own three match challenge. Will Roddy be able to break big bad Shaney T. to then go after MJF? Or will Roddy learn how to rumble, bad man, rumble?
The bell rings and Roddy circles with Shane. They tie up, Shane powers Roddy back, but the ref counts. Shane lets off slowly, but then BODY SHOTS! Shane talks trash, JABS, JABS, JABS, then stomps away on Roddy! The ref counts, Shane lets off, but the fans rally for Roddy. MJF watches from home and is smirking as Roddy is in trouble. But Roddy fires off shots on Shane, forearms and CHOPS, and he backs Shane down! Carlie Bravo distracts and Shane DECKS Roddy! The Kingdom argues with STP’s Infantry, but Shane hauls Roddy up. Shane puts Roddy in a corner, talks trash, and CHOPS!
Roddy goes to another corner, the Kingdom coaches him up, and he kicks! And CHOPS! Shane TOSSES Roddy, CHOPS again, then talks trash. Shane DECKS Roddy, and Roddy flops out of the ring. STP is there to taunt Roddy but The Kingdom backs them off. Shane pursues Roddy on the outside but Roddy slides inside. Roddy DROPKICKS Shane! Then Roddy fires off haymakers and CHOPS on the outside! Shane shoves Roddy away, slides into the ring, but Roddy pursues. Roddy RAMS Shane, slingshots, but Shane DECKS him again! Shane slingshots Roddy up into a DRAPING STUNNER! Roddy writhes, the fans rally, but Collision goes picture in picture.
Shane stands on Roddy at the ropes! The ref reprimands, Shane steps off, and Roddy sputters. Roddy drags himself up with ropes, but Shane DECKS him! Shane RAMS Roddy into the corner, then RAMS him again! Roddy CLUBS Shane but Shane ROCKS Roddy! Roddy stumbles to a corner but Shane is right on him again. Shane TOSSES Roddy across the way! Collision returns and Shane CLUBS away on Roddy’s neck! Then he HEADBUTTS Roddy down! Roddy flops half out of the ring, but Shane stalks over. The fans rally for Roddy, but Shane is on the apron. Shane lines up the shot, but Roddy moves! The leg drop hits apron! Roddy rises to his feet, runs up, and he WRECKS Shane with a dropkick! Shane staggers around, but Roddy goes to the apron. Roddy FLYING LARIATS! Down goes Shane and Philly fires up! Roddy drags Shane up but Shane ELBOWS Roddy back. Shane slides into the ring, Roddy runs in, and he RAMS Shane! And then RAMS him again!
Roddy keeps going, forearm to the back! Forearm from the side! LEPAING LARIAT! Cover, ONE?!? Shane has power to spare but it seems so does Roddy. Roddy rises and the fans rally again. Shane blocks the Angle Slam, and he headlock punches Roddy! Shane blocks a boot, shoves Roddy down, but Roddy dodges the knee to SICK KICK! Roddy hoists Shane in for the ANGLE SLAM!! Cover, TWO!! Shane survives and The Kingdom can’t believe it! Roddy rises again, the fans rally behind him, and he takes aim. STRONG- NO, Shane dodges the knee to ROCK Roddy! RIPCORD URENAGE! And then a SPLASH DOWN! Cover, TWO!!!
The fans are thunderous as Roddy survives! STP is in disbelief, but Shane rises up. Shane drags Roddy up, ROCKS him again, and then reels him in! Shane calls for it, GAR- NO, Roddy wrenches out! Roddy ducks both lariats to then STRONG KNEE!! Cover, RODDY WINS!!

Shane kicks out at 3.01 but that is NOT enough! The Kingdom celebrates with Roddy, and MJF is no longer so smug. Will MJF’s plan backfire to where both Roddy and Adam get three wins in a row? Or will the Wolf of Wrestling find a way to worm out of this situation?

And in two weeks, November 16th, Collision in Albany, we see LFI VS The Acclaimed! The winners of each match move on to Full Gear to take on the champions! It was Battle of the Belts where The Glamour faced The Queenslayer in a title eliminator. But since Mariah underestimated Anna, she got caught for a loss! Now, after weeks of trying to bully and belittle her, Mariah must face Anna again, title on the line! Will Mariah’s reign end before she even gets to celebrate it? Or will she keep Anna from being the Star of the Show by any means necessary?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who has the spotlight!
The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally up, the two tie up, and Mariah pulls hair to put Anna in a corner. The ref counts, Mariah lets off, to SLAP! Anna shoves Mariah, and the two reset. They tie up, Anna wrenches to then headlock. Mariah fights up, powers out, but Anna runs her over! Anna runs, hops over the dropdown to then headlock takeover! Mariah keeps her shoulders up, but she fights to a headscissors. Anna kips free, but Mariah kicks low. Mariah headlocks, Anna fires body shots, and then Anna powers out. Mariah blocks hip toss, but so does Anna! Anna fires knees, then runs, to ROLLING NECKBREAKER! Cover, ONE!!
Anna keeps on Mariah with a whip. Anna runs up to HEEL KICK! But Mariah DOUBLE CHOPS back! Mariah lifts Anna to BUCKLE BACK SUPLEX! Mariah then CLUBS away on Anna’s head and neck! The fans boo and the ref checks Anna, but Mariah paces. Mariah then storms back over, CLUBS Anna again, and has her in ropes. Mariah pulls Anna back, then gives her a mocking kiss on the cheek. The ref counts, Mariah lets off, and she SHOTGUNS Anna in the back! Anna writhes and Mariah soaks up heat while Collision goes picture in picture.
Mariah paces around more, then stalks Anna to a corner. Mariah drags Anna up, CHOSP her, and Anna sputters away to another corner. Mariah CHOPS her again! Mariah stalks Anna to yet another corner, and whips her corner to corner hard! Anna falls and Mariah shrugs. Mariah mocks the fans by clapping for Anna, before she snap suplexes! Cover, TWO! Anna toughs it out but Mariah is unbothered. Mariah drags Anna up, clamps on a chinlock, and she squeezes tight. Mariah leans on Anna, Anna endures, and Anna fights up to throw body shots! Anna runs, but Mariah scoops for a BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!
Mariah grows annoyed with Anna, but she drags Anna back up. Mariah KICKS Anna in the back, stomps her down, then runs, to SHOTGUN Anna in the back! Cover, TWO! Mariah clamps onto Anna with a chinlock, but then adds the arms for a straitjacket stretch! Anna endures, even as Mariah digs a knee into her back. Mariah then KNEES Anna in the back! Anna fights up, fights around, and Collision returns to single picture as Mariah throws Anna down by her hair! Anna goes to a corner, the fans boo, and Mariah runs in. Anna dodges and Mariah hits buckles! Anna fires a forearm, then another, and another!
Anna fires off a flurry, then whips corner to corner. Mariah hits buckles, but Anna whips her back the other way! Mariah shoves Anna back, but Anna dodges the haymaker to FLYING FOREARM! And FLYING FOREARM again! And then SHOTGUN! The fans fire up with Anna while Mariah goes to a corner. Anna runs in, but Mariah goes up and over to sunset flip! Anna rolls through, jackknife bridge! TWO, but Anna hurries to clinch! FLATLINER! Then BACKSTABBER! Cover, TWO! Mariah stays in this but the fan rally for Anna. Anna drags Mariah up, whips her to the corner, then runs in to LEG LARIAT!
Anna hoists Mariah up, wrenches, DANGEROUS JAY KCIK! And then ICONO- NO! Mariah ahs a HANGING SLEEPER! The ref counts, Mariah lets go, and Anna stumbles. Mariah MISSILE DROPKICKS! Mariah roars, hauls Anna up, SAIDO! Cover, TWO!! Anna survives and Mariah is frustrated. The fans rally up as Mariah brings Anna in. Anna wrenches out to hook Mariah up! Mariah swings free to HEADBUTT! And RUNNING KNEE! Cover, TWO!! Mariah is shocked but the fans fire up! Mariah fireman’s carries, but Anna slips free! Mariah ELBOWS Anna away, then puts her in ropes! Mariah drags Anna out but Anna RAMS into her!
Anna has Mariah in the ropes now, DRAPING HOTSHOT! Mariah flops down, Anna goes to the corner. Anna hops up, but Mariah runs up to get her! But no Stratusfaction here! Anna adjusts, to BLOCKBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Mariah survives and Anna is growing frustrated. Anna drags Mariah up, clamps on, QUEENSLAYER!! With body scissors to boot! Mariah endures, flails around, reaches out, but Anna turns her from the ropes! Mariah kicks around, claws at Anna, but Anna holds on tight! Mariah throws elbows but the body scissors are so tight! Mariah is fading! But then she flips back, cover, TWO!!
Anna lets go in time and the fans fire up! Anna runs up, but into a FLAPJACK HOTSHOT! Mariah then rolls Anna into a LEG CLUTCH CRADLE! MARIAH WINS!
Winner: Mariah May, by pinfall (still AEW Women’s World Champion)
The Glamour laughs maniacally as she proves she’s still the better wrestler! A technical move takes down Anna, showing she still has much to learn in this ring. Mariah caresses the belt, but then she actually offer a hand? Anna takes it, only for Mariah to leave her hanging. Will anyone ever humble Mariah? Or will AEW always be All About May?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision here, though they really jammed it full. Very good opening promo with Private Party and a lot of the other teams in AEW. Classic move to have Faces in one spot and Heels in another. I like that there’s some tension between Private Party and FTR because Private Party would of course want to beat another top team like that. But I also like The Outrunners being the peacekeepers here. That contender series is pretty good, too, though why the hell can’t it all just be one night? I mean, I get it, there are a lot of stories going on, some teams need to be open to do those moments. But at the same time, they could’ve easily done this all next Saturday, and then the rest of the build is the teams interacting with each other.
Though to that counterpoint, Top Flight ended up getting got by the BCC, now slowly becoming The Death Riders (Tony Schiavone let that name slip once in his commentary). Moxley does the opposite of what a Heel would do in that he compliments the town they’re in. He compliments Philly for being tough, hardworking and honest, but then tries to put that on Yuta when we’ve all seen Yuta be only two of those things right now. Action stepping up thinking he was fighting Yuta was some good stuff, but it kinda took the match with Pac to get Philly on Action’s side. Pac of course won, but great stuff with Cassidy calling Yuta out for how he changed. Cassidy and Darby have their match with Pac & Claudio on Wednesday, I feel like Yuta’s gonna affect the decision.
Lio VS Daivari was good, though overbooked with Sterling & Woods being around, but like… That was filler. It still works out better when Action got beat up by Pac, but I don’t know, beating Daivari only gets so much these days. On the flipside, Komander and Kyle had an awesome match to mostly help make Kyle look awesome in his newest Heel persona. The jacket is cool, the pants are cool, but then they’re tearaway, hence my comment about Taichi. Kyle gets a great win, and he has a good promo with Konosuke calling out Private Party and Ricochet. I feel like Ricochet is going to bring Ospreay with him just to shock Kyle and piss him off, and then we’ll get an awesome tag match that helps set up the two grudge matches, Ricochet VS Konosuke and Ospreay VS Kyle.
Very good promo from The Acclaimed, and not even because they’re calling out Private Party to get in on the tag title series again. It was good from how they were each passive aggressive to the other. Caster clearly wants to be singles guy but he also seems to think he still needs Bowens by his side. Caster still having the Hurt Syndicate card and simply having an “I dunno” response, there’s gotta be something that happens with The Acclaimed and Hurt Syndicate on Dynamite or something. Caster will say yes, Bowens will say no, they will fight, and no matter the result, Caster will join Hurt Syndicate.
Cage & Archer have a good promo with Undisputed Kingdom, and then of course Cage & Archer annihilate a team to build themselves up. Roddy VS Shane was also a great match, especially with Infantry now Heels and barking at Roddy. Great win for Roddy to start on his three match streak. Good promo from Malakai to call out Adam Cole, but Cole is definitely still winning. I still sense that MJF is going to make Cole and Roddy face each other so that only one can win three matches in a row and get their Full Gear match with MJF. Kyle watching Kingdom continues to be intriguing, I wonder if he leaves Conglomeration to join Kingdom and make it five guys.
And bookending the night with great women’s matches was itself a great move. Rosa VS Harley was a great Day of the Dead match, because it was basically a Day of the Dead themed Street Fight. Great win for Rosa, but I figured she was winning anyway. Harley has made great strides in the ring, though, so kudos to her, too. And then Mariah VS Anna was about equal to their Battle of the Belts match, but I do like that, on the same day we saw Cody Rhodes counter a sleeper to a pin and win, Mariah tried but didn’t win. Mariah still wins with some other roll-up move, and I figured Mariah was going to retain. We even got a Mina teaser before the main event, so clearly they’re getting back to building to Marina VS Mina.
