Bianca Belair is here!
Salt Lake City fires up for The EST, but she isn’t alone, as Naomi makes her entrance, too! And then Iyo Sky is here! And then Bayley! And that of course leaves Rhea Ripley to make her entrance! The whole crew is here, as eclectic as it is, and they head to the ring together, ready for WarGames! The fans cheer on “MAMI! MAMI!” as she and the team all get mics, and Rhea starts by saying, “I know it’s obvious. Not everyone on this team are best friends. But honestly, none of that matters. Because tomorrow night, we all step into one of the most dangerous matches in the WWE: WarGames!” The fans cheer that!
Rhea says they all have someone that they wanna get their hands on. So tomorrow night, this all ends. When this team steps into the steel cage, no one is gonna be able to stop them from absolutely brutalizing their opponents. Think about it! Think about everything that side has done to them! Liv Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, Nia Jax, Tiffany Stratton, Candice LeRae! Naomi says, “That’s right, big mama. Cuz Nia Jax and her little lapdogs are gonna get everything they deserve and then some. Because they have been nothing but a pain in me and Bayley’s sides. And I promise you, and I promise y’all, will the Glow be felt, oh it’s gonna be dealt!”
Bianca Belair says yep! They all know one of Nia’s took at Jade Cargill. Tomorrow night, all five of ’em can get it! Rhea tells Liv she’ll wish she never met Rhea. Iyo says they will DESTROY YOU! But speaking of, here comes Liv, Raquel, Nia, Tiffany & Candice! Liv has a mic to say it’s funny how confident Rhea’s team is that they’ll win tomorrow night. Nia says Bianca may have had a brain fart that Bayley & Iyo tortured her for years. Oh, and Bayley, Iyo backstabbed you before WrestleMania! What Nia’s team has done doesn’t even come close to the issues that team has. That team will implode even before getting in the ring, “Ya big losers!”
Nia’s side laughs, but Naomi tells Nia to shut up! Bayley says for real! Naomi says Nia has way bigger problems, like Naomi & Bayley! Bayley agrees again, and says Nia is one to talk. She’s been manipulating lil’ Tiffy since day one, but she’s too naive to notice. And watch out for Candice, she knows her way around the business, so she isn’t gonna fall for it. So maybe after WarGames, Nia will be out of friends. Oh, Bayley is an expert in having no friends. Big idiot! Liv says this is a united front, stop trying to manipulate them. Bayley lost her touch and is no longer good at it. However… Liv does think it is really interesting how Jade was attacked and now Bayley’s on the team.
The fans are torn there, but Rhea tells Liv to just shut up and stop wasting everyone’s time. Soon, Liv won’t be able to hide behind anyone. Because when you step into the cage, there is NOWHERE to run! And then she’ll have to face Rhea! Liv says y’know what? That’s true. But that’s why Liv will put her money where her mouth is, and finish the job she started when she breaks Rhea’s face on the steel cage tomorrow night! Rhea laughs at Liv and says “Sweet, naive Liv. I’m gonna cave your face in so bad that the ‘love of your life,’ Dominik Mysterio? He’s not gonna even wanna look at you!” Liv gets mad now, and the teams storm up!
But then Liv says nice try, Rhea, but see you tomorrow. Liv’s side is leaving, bye~! Bye bye~! Rhea says she hates waiting. Rhea leads her team up the ramp! The brawl is on, on the stage!! The fans fire up as Rhea has Raquel, Bayley has Candice, Naomi has Tiff, Bianca is after Nia and Iyo is after Liv! They’re all over the place, but then Liv puts Iyo in the ring! Bayley does the same to Candice! Iyo turns the tide to HAMMER Liv! Refs and producers hurry out here but it’s just chaos! Fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT!” Liv’s team falls back to retreat while Rhea’s team has the ring! Rhea’s team also has WarGames advantage, will that help them destroy all their enemies?
Shinsuke Nakamura VS Andrade!
The King of Strong Style returned as a ruthless ronin, and his blindside attacks got him a title match with LA Knight for Survivor Series! But will his edge be razor sharp going into that United States Championship match? Or will El Idolo prove he should be the one challenging The Mega Star?
The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally up and duel even. The two tie up but Nakamura KNEES low, throws Andrade down, but Andrade avoids the stomp! They reset, tie up again, and Nakamura puts Andrade in the corner. The ref counts, Nakamura fires off shots, but whips corner to corner. Andrade goes up and out, then ROCKS Nakamura first! Andrade goes up and up to CROSSBODY! Cover, ONE!! Andrade drags Nakamura up but Nakamura RAMS him into the corner again and again! Nakamura fires off more shots, then a KNEE! Andrade hurries up top, and to the very top! ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Down goes Nakamura but Andrade also has to rest on the floor, and SmackDown goes to break.
SmackDown returns and Nakamura has Andrade in a chinlock. Andrade fights up, fires elbows, but Nakamura knees low! INVERTED EXPLODER, but Andrade lands out! Andrade CLOBBERS Nakamura! Nakamura gets up to kick but Andrade blocks to DRAGON SCREW! Andrade runs to FLYING FOREARM! Both men are down, but then Andrade kips up! The fans fire up and Andrade has Nakamura in a corner. Fans join in with “SI! SI! SI!” and Andrade fires up, but then he goes up the corner. Nakamura CLUBS Andrade first! Nakamura climbs up and brings Andrade to the top! Andrade fights the back suplex by holding the ropes!

Andrade fires up as he rises, and the fans fire up with him! Andrade brings Nakamura around, underhooks, but Nakamura wrenches out! KINSH- NO, Andrade dodges! Boot feint and ELBOW!! Cover, TWO?!?
Nakamura survives and Salt Lake can’t believe it! Andrade is beside himself, as well, but the fans rally back up. Andrade brings Nakamura up as the fans duel again. Andrade suplexes, Uno Amigo! And then Dos Amigos! The fans fire up for THREE- NO, Nakamura powers Andrade back! Andrade digs his heels in to THREE AMIGOS into the corner! Nakamura flounders and Andrade pounds the mat. The fans rally up again with “SI! SI! SI!” Andrade goes corner to corner and back again, but Nakamura ducks the knees, AND TOOK A BUCKLE AWAY!? Andrade hits bare steel and the fans are stunned!
Nakamura has a sinister smile that then turns into a scowl. BLINDSIDE KINSHASA!! Cover, Nakamura wins!
Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura, by pinfall
Andrade wanted this fight, and now he lost the fight! The darkness in Nakamura is on full display, will it shine with gold tomorrow? Wait, here comes LA Knight! Nakamura dodges Knight, and uses the BLACK MIST!! Knight flounders and flails blindside, and Nakamura leaves him behind. Is Nakamura right in saying Knight is desperate to keep the spotlight on him? Will Nakamura prey on that desperation to once again be champion?
Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline talks backstage.
Jacob Fatu is preparing to fight for WarGames advantage, and The Undisputed Tribal Chief tells his Enforcer, “You got this. Don’t even worry about that stupid dance that he does. Hey, I want you to take…” Solo stops as Nick Aldis steps in. The SmackDown General Manager wants to just say that tonight’s match of Jacob Fatu VS Jey Uso is critically important, as they all know. WarGames, whoever wins tonight, they have the numbers advantage. Therefore, Aldis does NOT want the numbers game to factor into tonight. What he’s trying to say is, everyone is banned from ringside. And he does mean everyone.
Solo says it’s alright, they’ll do that. So then they have an understanding? Of course. Aldis leaves, and Solo tells Jacob to destroy “Main Event Jey.” Will the Samoan Werewolf do just that? Or will Jey make sure the OGs are the ones with the advantage?
#DIY talks backstage.
Tommaso Ciampa just wants to know if he’s got this right, because he’s pretty sure Johnny Gargano said it. Gargano said “Whatever it takes,” but they got screwed out of their titles, that’s what Gargano also said. Yes, Gargano did say those things. Then did Gargano already forget Cleveland, Gargano’s hometown, and DIY being screwed out of the championships, in front of Gargano’s family and friends?! In front of Gargano’s own son!? Does he want his son to grow up thinking, “Yeah, my dad’s a loser.” Ciampa does NOT want his daughter growing up, “My dad’s a loser so I must be a loser!” THEY ARE NOT LOSERS!!
Gargano says no, they are not. But things have changed. Oh? What changed? Explain it to Ciampa. Because as he sees it, nothing has changed! What happened is Alex Shelley showed up. Ciampa mockingly says, “Oh, Shelley was my mentor when I was 18~!” Ciampa doesn’t care about the past! What Ciampa sees is, Gargano’s friendship with Shelley is more important than DIY taking the titles back! That is NOT what Ciampa is gonna do! So unless Gargano has a plan- Gargano says he’ll talk to Shelley. Ciampa says no, he is sick of talking! He doesn’t even wanna be doing this! Gargano has seen what Ciampa’s been doing, that is Ciampa’s plan.
So unless Gargano has some other plan Ciampa doesn’t know about, they do this Ciampa’s way. Gargano has one more week to figure this out, and if he can’t, then it’s Ciampa’s way. Ciampa storms off, what is Johnny Wrestling to do?
Kevin Owens speaks.
“There are people out there that are still on Cody Rhodes’ side. So let me explain to you why I am right. January 1st, 2021: Roman Reigns and his cousin assault me 2-on-1, and throw me off of a 15 foot high scaffolding through tables. But I got up. January 31st, 2021, at the Royal Rumble: Roman Reigns runs me over with a golf cart. But I go tup. January 28th, 2023, again at the Royal Rumble: Roman Reigns orders for me to get Superkicked over and over and over again! And for that one, Cody Rhodes was in the building! But he was nowhere to be found. But you know where he was at Bad Blood this year, when Roman Reigns needed somebody? Right there, by his side.
“And that’s just three of the dozens of examples I could’ve used to show you that Cody Rhodes deserves everything that’s coming to him at Saturday Night’s Main Event, when I turn the American Nightmare into the Canadian Dream.” The Prizefighter is ready to have a prize back around his waist, will he tear down Cody to have the greatest Christmas present possible?
Cody Rhodes VS Carmelo Hayes!
Speaking of The American Nightmare, Salt Lake City is fired up as the Undisputed WWE Champion is about to run it back with H1M! Will Cody be able to focus knowing he has Kevin Owens to prepare for? Or will Melo not miss his own chance to get one on the champ?
SmackDown returns and Melo makes his entrance. But he also has a mic. “Hey, Cody. You know what? Kevin was right. You did turn your back on him. Because let’s be real. You not the guy to stab a guy in his back, we know that. You the guy to stab someone right in his heart. Because who needs enemies when you got friends like Cody Rhodes? So Cody, you wanna evaluate me? You wanna evaluate the first round draft pick!? Well, you’re gonna learn that this evaluation is only gonna find out one thing and that’s exactly why I’m freakin’ HIM.” Melo drops the mic as he steps in, Cody puts the belt aside, and the bell rings.
Cody and Melo circle, feel things out, and Melo avoids the leg pick. They tie up, go around, and the fans rally up for Cody. Cody has Melo on ropes, slowly lets off, but Melo shoves Cody back. The fans fire up with Cody as he stands over Melo, and SmackDown goes to break.
SmackDown returns again and Cody is in the drop zone! Melo climbs, but Cody is right up to ROCK him! Cody climbs, CLUBS Melo, then brings him up! Cody hits a stalling SUPERPLEX! Both men writhe but the fans fire up! Cody rises first and the fans rally behind him. Cody stands, he storms over to Melo, and he blocks haymakers to give haymakers! Melo kicks low, runs, but Cody follows! Cody CLOBBERS Melo, then baits him into a corner! But Melo avoids the powerslam! LA MYSTICA! Cover, TWO! Cody stays in this but Melo catches his breath while checking his chin. Cody rises but Melo is on him.
Melo reels Cody in, CLUBS him, and powers Cody into a suplex! Cody fights free to shove Melo! Cody scoops Melo and RUNNING POWERSLAMS! Cody then grabs legs, steps through, for the FIGURE FOUR! The fans fire up and “WOO~” while Melo flails! Melo crawls, ROPEBREAK! Cody lets Melo go free, but he rises up again. Cody drags Melo by the legs, but Melo BOOTS Cody! Cody staggers and Melo hurries to his feet. Melo fires hands, Cody fires back! They go back and forth, the fans cheering Cody. Cody ROCKS Melo, but Melo mule kicks! Melo thinks about it, springboards, but so does Cody! Melo hurries to trip Cody!
Cody is stuck in ropes, so Melo springboards to FLYING CALF KICK! Then Melo suplexes, CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Melo grows frustrated but this is why Cody’s the champion! The fans rally up for Cody but Melo looks to the corner. Melo climbs, but Cody anchors his legs! Cody fires hands, Melo fires back! Melo shoves Cody away, finishes the climb, and says this is why he’s the best! The fans boo, but then Cody avoids the three pointer! Melo comes back, but no La Mystica! CROSS- NO, Melo powers out and shoves Cody away! But Cody blocks the superkick! Cody spins Melo, ducks an elbow, back suplex! Melo lands out!
Melo pushes Cody, Cody bucks the O’Conner! Melo misses the lariat, CODY CUTTER!! The fans fire up again and Cody roars! Melo stands, Cody dragon sleepers, CROSS RHODES!! Cover, Cody wins!
Winner: Cody Rhodes, by pinfall
Melo was a first round draft pick for a reason, because even though he lost, he has a bright future ahead of him. But that’s the future, Cody is the present! But is Cody’s near future going to be very dark facing a vengeful Kevin Owens?
Paul Heyman sits down with Roman Reigns.
The Wise Man and OTC are waiting. Roman asks Heyman, “Where is he?” Heyman says, “I don’t know, My Tribal Chief.” Roman says CM Punk is keeping him waiting, and that doesn’t work for Roman. But just as Roman was about to get up, CM Punk walks in. Punk says he doesn’t have a lot of time. Roman says good thing he showed up late then. Punk didn’t show up for Roman, he’s here for Heyman. Well, that’s good. But let’s get one thing straight: Roman doesn’t need Punk’s help. Punk chuckles and says he knew Roman would feel that way. Punk doesn’t even want to give Roman the help. But again, he’s not here for Roman, he’s here for Paul.
Roman says he’s happy for them, he really is. But Roman doesn’t like Punk’s tone. Or his attitude. Or just Punk. And Roman damn sure doesn’t want to team with Punk at WarGames. Heyman tells Roman that Solo has had the OG Bloodline in check since WrestleMania. If they don’t accept Punk’s help… It’s game over. Now, in all fairness, if Punk doesn’t help, and Solo turns back Roman and puts an end to the OG Bloodline… Punk’s next. Solo will come after Punk, all five of them. And not even because of this. It is because Punk is the threat. So respectfully to both men, divided they fall. United, they at best can survive.
Punk says Roman doesn’t like Punk’s attitude, but Punk doesn’t care. Because he doesn’t like Roman. But that doesn’t matter. Punk is not here for Roman, he is here for Heyman. Roman wants his ula fala back, and Punk wants scalps. Punk wants revenge for what Solo did to Punk’s friend. So if they survive WarGames, and Roman wants to revisit this conversation 1v1, Punk is all ears. Roman says, “One time.” Punk says, “One time. One favor.” Roman owes Punk? No. Roman won’t owe Punk anything. Their Wise Man will. Punk heads out, and Roman asks Heyman, “What’s the favor?”
Heyman says let’s get through WarGames first, and then they’ll have all the time in the world to talk about that. Roman leaves it at that, but he isn’t exactly happy. Will the Best in the World be the wild card that helps the OTC win the war?

Medics help LA Knight.
His eyes are still stinging but the worst part is behind him. Byron Saxton steps in to ask for a word. Nakamura of course got Knight with the mist, but what is his condition going into Survivor Series? Knight says of course they’re talking about this right now. Right now, Knight is getting worked on, he can barely see, but if Byron wants to talk Nakamura, then let’s talk Nakamura. Knight will have a seat and talk about the fact the man’s been gone for a bit, then returns and suddenly has a problem with Knight. This guy should have a problem with Knight! And at this point, he’s got a real big problem.
Knight’s been in survival mode, lived and breathed it. So surviving Survivor Series? No, no, no. He walks in and thrives! He’ll continue to be US Champion, because that’s what he is, it’s what he does. Knight will say this: Is he going to just not go? NAH NAH! He’ll be right there, looking Nakamura dead int he eyes, bloodshot or not. Knight will drop Nakamura on his head, get three the hard way because there’s no other way, and it’ll be everybody saying, “L! A! KNIGHT!” Yeah. Knight hopes that’s all Byron needs to know. Byron thanks Knight and heads out. The medics step back in with the eye drops, and Knight says he needs a shower to get the rest of this off him.
The King of Strong Style may have struck first and struck hard, but will it be Knight that strikes the King down?
Sami, Jey & Jimmy Uso are at gorilla.
Sami and Jimmy hype Jey up. They’ll have his back out there no matter what, but then Aldis steps in. He apologizes for interrupting, but he wants ot make it clear. The music hits, and Main Event Jey Uso is now in Salt Lake Citaaay~!

Cover, TWO!! Jey survives again and Jacob is surprised! Jacob goes to a corner, that wild look in his eyes only getting wilder. Jacob says Jey’s done! Jacob goes up the corner, and he soaks up the heat as the fans rally for Jey.
Jacob SWANTON BOMBS, but onto knees! Jey saves himself, and he hurries to SPEAR Jacob down!! Jacob is in a drop zone and now Jey climbs up! USO SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!?! Jey is beside himself but Jacob is just that tough! Salt Lake City says “This is Awesome!” as Jey and Jacob stir. Jacob crawls out to the apron, and Jey sits up in the ring. Jacob staggers his way around, and Jey DIVES! They both hit the desk!! The fans are thunderous as Jey rises again! Jey hurries to clear the desk! The fans love it! Winner: Jacob Fatu, by pinfall (Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline has the advantage in WarGames)
Salt Lake City is salty, but there is nothing that can be done! Solo embraces his Enforcer and mockingly says, “YEET!” Will nothing stop Solo’s side from being THE Bloodline in WWE?
My Thoughts:
A great SmackDown as the go-home to Survivor Series, but it certainly laid out the go-home math for us. Good opening promo segment for the Women’s WarGames, though it maybe went a line or two of dialogue too long. But with the brawl that followed, and the Face team standing tall in the ring, it’s pretty much a given the Heel team wins. Nia hinted at it, and I am personally still hoping Bayley is revealed as the one who attacked Jade to both get in on WarGames and make things easier in the Women’s US Championship match.
Speaking of which, great Triple Threat, and Lash continues to make great impressions on the main roster. I would think after WarGames, given the Women’s Tag titles will certainly be vacated, Lash & Jakara can get right in whatever match crowns the new champs. But of the three tonight, Mia Yim made sense, though I should’ve expected B-Fab to help counter Chelsea’s presence. Naomi VS Tiffany VS Lopez will also be very good, and if the story goes how I’m thinking, Naomi moves on to the next round to give us Bayley VS Naomi in the finals as part of the “It was Bayley all along!” plot twist.
Great match of Andrade VS Nakamura, and good win for Nakamura. But given Knight ran out there and still got punked by Nakamura, that go-home math makes me think Nakamura loses. That is a real shame given this new persona for Nakamura, so maybe WWE will defy their own formula and have Nakamura cheating his way to a win. All I know is, Nakamura can’t keep losing in big time matches if we’re to still believe he is a threat. The same kinda goes for Kevin Owens. That was a very good promo, though Kevin kinda conflates “Cody not helping in 2023” with “Cody betraying Kevin.” But that aside, Kevin should be booked to stay strong, maybe get himself disqualified by going overboard on Cody, and then they can bring things to a third match to perhaps kick off 2025.
Very good promo from Ciampa and Gargano, with Ciampa venting and perhaps having a good point on Gargano being unable to get past his friendship with Shelley to go for what he and Ciampa need in their careers. Ciampa using the phrase of “my way” could very well be a reference back to The Way, which was originally “The Gargano Way.” Maybe “The Way” comes back with Ciampa bringing Gargano into being a Heel again. The Profits are already on that line, DIY could probably try that to stay fresh, and we’ll just have to see how it goes in HHH’s plans for the tag titles. Also, where have Waller & Theory been? Will they return just to have their breakup story?
And very good stuff in the Bloodline story. Well, there could’ve been something a bit better about the Roman-Punk meeting. Maybe it’s just Roman’s character that needs changing. He hasn’t actually been humbled by anything that’s happened, he’s just being nicer to the Usos and Sami, and something about that is going to come back to bite him eventually. And Punk’s favor is surely going to involve Heyman advocating for Punk to have a top title match, over doing that for Roman. Roman will not just have to humble himself but he’ll have to relearn how to earn a title match for himself, not Wise Man politicking for him.
As for the rest, good promo with Solo and his Bloodline, and good move on Aldis’ part to put on a ringside ban. Great match out of Jey VS Jacob, but of course Jacob won. As I said, the math is pretty clear: Women’s WarGames is clearly going to be won by the Heels, so the Men’s WarGames is going to be won by the Faces. Punk is in this story to help the OG Bloodline win and get his favor. Roman VS Solo for the ula fala can also happen because of the OG Bloodline winning, and we’ll have to see where the rest of the Bloodline members go from there.
My Score: 8.7/10

PLAY BY PLAY
Toni Storm arrives backstage.
The AEW Women’s World Champion sees the camera and tells Mercedes Mone through it, “You want me at All In? Well you got me! And tonight, you have a front row seat to my match right here in Denver. So bring a snack, and enjoy the elevation, for I am the next mountain you must climb. Until then, my tits will be tipped up and I am ready to tango!” Toni will team with Mina Shirakawa against Julia Hart & Sky Blue, will Fyter Fest be TIMELESS?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring.
He welcomes us to this FOUR HOUR Fyter Fest, and says let’s kick it off by welcoming out the Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay! Denver fires up for Ospreay as he goes to the ring. Ospreay shakes hands with Schiavone, and Schiavone says last week after Dynamite, something occurred between him and Swerve. Footage plays of Ospreay confronting Swerve over this dream team drama and Swerve not wanting to work with Hangman Page when the bigger threat to AEW is the Death Riders. The confrontation turned physical and the two had to be separated. Schiavone points out Ospreay shouting, “Same team!” and how rough that got.
Ospreay says it is embarrassing. He never wants to fight Swerve like that, they’ve been friends for 12 years now. Now, it is not the brightest idea to try and get Swerve and Hangman on the same page, as they actually hate one another. But Ospreay just feels they’re not the enemy here. The enemy is Jon Moxley. The fans cheer that! Ospreay can’t help but think, if they could all put their differences aside for one night, one bloody night, they could retrieve the belt, and then kill each other! The fans also cheer that!
Ospreay brings up how Jon Moxley has said on TV, Moxley hates what AEW has become. Here’s an idea: piss off then! Because people like Ospreay, Hangman, Swerve, Toni Storm, Kenny Omega, they are why AEW has momentum again! The only reason AEW “sucks” right now is because Moxley is world champion! The fans cheer that, and they chant for Ospreay. Ospreay says he has given Hangman his word and his word means something. Ospreay will play a part in making sure that world title comes back. Last week, Ospreay asked Swerve, “Who’s the bigger threat? Hangman or the Death Riders?”
Ospreay is starting to wonder… Is Swerve a threat, as well? Hangman doesn’t want to see Swerve as champion, Swerve doesn’t want to see Hangman as champion. Ospreay can’t let that happen. So if Ospreay has to be the one to stop Swerve… Fans chant for “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Ospreay tells them that if he doesn’t step in, Swerve ain’t got a house! But here is what happens. Ospreay wants Swerve to listen and listen clearly. Ospreay loves Swerve as a brother. Ospreay would take a bullet for Swerve. But before that, Ospreay would take a bullet for AEW! So next week, Summer Blockbuster, Ospreay is calling Swerve out! Ospreay VS Swerve 2!
And wait, what is CRU doing coming out here? Lio Rush & Action Andretti have mics, and Ospreay is confused. Action asks, “What’s wrong, Denver? You ain’t happy to see us?” The fans boo to show that they aren’t. Action tells “Mr. Bruv,” that this pow-wow he has with “Tommy Schiavone” is cute and all. The fans tell Action to STFU but Lio & Action laugh that off. Action tells Denver and all of Colorado to do them a favor and shut your mouths! Lio takes over by saying, “Ospreay, Ospreay, Ospreay! A true Brit! Ey, I love it, man, I do. It’s clear that these people love it, too. But listen, man. If there’s one thing that I know about Brits is that they like to talk a lot.
“And you out here doin ga lot of yappin’. Ey, Denver, we just got off a 14 hour flight from Japan, and my boy right here, Action, he chillin’ tonight. But me? I got a little bit of pent up anger and a point to prove. Because I personally think that the worst thing about AEW… is your dumbass!” The fans boo Lio and Ospreay says Lio has pent up anger, huh? Well, Ospreay would love to get that anger out. Tonight, we’re sold out, baby! The fans cheer that! Ospreay has his “fake tan” on, and his “crime fighting pants” upstairs! Anyone wanna see an Ospreay match tonight? The fans all cheer that! In that case, tonight for the Collision portion of this evening, Ospreay VS Lio is on!
The fans cheer again, and Ospreay reminds Swerve, “See you next week, sunshine!” The Aerial Assassin is ready, will he make the Man of the Hour a quick workout before visiting Swerve’s House in Portland?
Mark Briscoe VS Jon Moxley w/ The Death Riders!
The Sussex County Chicken admits he got caught last time, but he won’t let his children think he’s a quitter. You win some and you lose some, but you never quit! So now, Briscoe wants after something bigger than the win, the loss, or the title! Will the Maniac be ready to #ManUp for Fyter Fest?
The bell rings and the fans rally up for “Briscoe! Briscoe!” The two circle, tie up, and are in a deadlock. Moxley digs his heels in but Briscoe turns it around. They go along the ropes, the ref counts, and Briscoe slowly lets off. The fans cheer, but then Moxley bails out and the fans boo. Moxley wrenches Briscoe’s arm, drags him to sit in a chair, and Moxley rains down fists! The fans boo as Moxley goes after that forehead wound! The Maniac shows off the blood on his arm while Fyter Fest goes picture in picture.
Briscoe sputters and Yuta mockingly applauds. Doc Sampson checks Briscoe but Briscoe rises up. Briscoe fires forearms on Moxley over and over, but Moxley BITES the bloody forehead wound! Moxley ROCKS Briscoe, refreshes the ring count at 9, then puts Briscoe back in the ring. Moxley stalks Briscoe to a corner, digs his boots in, then drags Briscoe up to put in another corner. Moxley rains down fists again, and he goes past TEN, then CLAWS Briscoe’s forehead and eyes! The ref counts, Fyter Fest returns to single picture, and Moxley BITES Briscoe! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Moxley just brings Briscoe around.
Moxley whips and BACKDROPS Briscoe! Briscoe writhes, Moxley covers, TWO! Briscoe is tougher than that! The fans fire up as Briscoe rises, and he CHOPS, CHOPS, and fires a forearm! But Moxley fires shots in return! Moxley whips and BACKDROPS, but Briscoe flips through to land on his feet! Briscoe then REDNECK KUNG-FU UPPERCUTS! And he CHOPS, UPPERCUTS, and CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! But Moxley shoots around, only for Briscoe to PELE! Moxley tumbles out, the fans fire up, and Briscoe builds speed! Briscoe DIVES! Down goes Moxley, right in front of commentary! Denver is thunderous as Briscoe stands on the desk!
Briscoe hurries to put Moxley in the ring and runs for a SLIDING LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Moxley is also tougher than that, but Briscoe has the fans with him. Briscoe storms up on Moxley, eggs him on, and the forearms start flying! The fans boo Moxley and cheer Briscoe as they keep going again and again! Briscoe gets the edge, then ROCKS Moxley! But Moxley kicks and fires back! Kick, forearm, repeat! Moxley then whips, but Briscoe reverses to CHOP! And CHOP! Briscoe whips, Moxley reverses, but Briscoe FLYING FOREARMS! But Moxley shifts to the ARMBAR!! Briscoe kicks his way around, and finds the ROPEBREAK!! The ref counts, Moxley lets go at 4.
Moxley stalks Briscoe to the apron, kicks him to the floor, and then distracts the ref! Yuta hammerlocks Briscoe to RAM Briscoe into steel steps! The fans boo but Marina puts Briscoe in the ring. Another showdown, another referee stoppage, because Briscoe doesn’t quit! Even 3v1 with The Problem & The Decoder ringside, Briscoe pushed Moxley. But will anyone take that AEW World Championship from “The One True King” when he always has his pawns with him?
Mercedes Mone heads to the ring!
Denver is torn as The CEO, the 2025 Women’s Owen Hart Cup Champion, and the #1 contender to the AEW Women’s World Champion, heads for commentary. She’s ready to watch Toni Storm up close and personal, but will she be able to only watch the match?

The Toni Classic Move ruins Mone’s appetite. But trying to belittle Toni as dinner theater backfires, Toni takes Mone’s steak and EATS IT! Will Toni derail the Money Train and taste sweet victory in Texas? Or will The CEO serve up bitter defeat and once again become #FourBeltsMone?
Backstage interview with Will Ospreay.
Lexy Nair is with the Aerial Assassin and brings up his match with Lio Rush for later tonight. It is also official: Ospreay VS Swerve for the Summer Blockbuster! But before Ospreay can say anything about it, MJF interrupts. The Scumbag says hi to “Billy Boy” and Ospreay asks what Max wants. MJF says it isn’t what he wants so much as it is what Ospreay needs to understand. MJF is here to help! Ospreay needs to stay out of Swerve’s business with The Cowboy. If Ospreay takes Swerve out when Swerve would take out Hangman, then Hangman’s chances of winning the world title drastically improve.
And to make matters worse, if Ospreay actually manages to unite them, well then… That makes Hangman a shoe-in to win that world title. And last MJF checked, maybe Ospreay forgot after getting knocked out, but Ospreay can’t beat Hangman. If Hangman wins the world title, Ospreay never will. Swerve and Hangman, they’re animals. And what do you do with animals? You let them eat each other. Ospreay “thanks” MJF for that advice, does he have any more? Because Ospreay has a match to get ready for. But of course MJF is only thinking about himself in this. Ospreay is thinking about AEW. Ospreay understands what MJF is really doing, too.
MJF doesn’t want Hangman to win the AEW World Championship because MJF stands no chance of beating Hangman, even on MJF’s best day. See you later, mate. But MJF asks how Ospreay’s son, Harry, is doing. Ospreay grabs MJF by his sleazy neck, but MVP steps in. And with MVP come Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin. Ospreay backs off, MVP has MJF settle down, and MVP says the Hurt Syndicate has business elsewhere tonight. But good luck in your match, Will. The Hurt Syndicate heads out, but Lashley makes sure to fix Ospreay’s shirt for him. Will Ospreay be able to focus after MJF pushed his buttons?
The Hurt Syndicate heads to the ring!
Denver fires up as MVP, MJF, Shelton Benjamin, and their hometown hero, Bobby Lashley, all enter together, unified after the big win at Double or Nothing. The fans chant for “Bobby! Bobby!” and even “Shelton! Shelton!” but then they boo MJF! MVP has the mic to say, “Attention AEW viewing audience: this is an official announcement from the Hurt Syndicate. Now before I go any further, I would like to address my brother, Roberto… You used to live in the Mile High City.” The fans cheer that! MVP says he has to ask: Now that Lashley lives in Texas, what is his opinion of Denver?
Lashley holds up his hand and gives a thumbs… DOWN! The fans boo but MVP says that’s classic! That is why The All Mighty left Colorado! But to business, this is AEW, where the best wrestle! And MVP stands with the greatest tag team to ever exist in the history of this sport! You could put together a dream team then, now, from this company, from another company, from the UNIVERSE, and they couldn’t take the titles from the waists of these two MEGA stars! So MVP must ask: If this is where the best wrestle, where are the best tag teams to challenge the champions?! Why is everyone so absolutely terrified of the Standard of Excellence & The All Mighty?
They’re in your imaginations, because they don’t exist! There is no one, and MVP will say that again, there is no one capable of beating these two for the titles! And with that business done, MVP wants the fans to show respect to the young genius that is Maxwell Jacob Friedman. MJF thanks Montel for that, and says he’d appreciate silence while he speaks. So rude. But as these “dumb shmucks” already know, MJF wants gold, just like his best friends have! So he wants back the AEW World Championship. Which means like all the marks in the back, MJF will have to wrestle more. He’ll get over it.
But that means MJF is aiming for Mexico. The fans chant for MJF to shut up but MVP tells them to respect MJF! MJF tells fans he is not going to shut up so just stop it. Now apparently, the countrymen of Mexico believe their top guy is Mistico. Mistico’s country believes Mistico is the best int he world. But that can’t be true, because MJF is the best. The best wrestler in the world doesn’t hail from Mexico. He hails from the only country that’s worth a damn, the United States of America! Now, Mistico, when MJF stepped foot in Mistico’s quaint little country, MJF sold out little Arena Mexico! Facts! In fact, MJF is the youngest foreigner to ever do so.
And do the fans know why MJF was able to do that? It is because unlike all of these poorers, he is a MEGA STAR! Don’t believe him? Happy Gilmore 2 comes out July 25th! Now, Mistico might think he is a lucha libre legend, but what MJF thinks is that he is just a big fish in a small, stinky pond. But hey, MJF is feeling philanthropic! Not that any of this morons watching know what that word means. Just google it. But next week, MJF will watch Mistico’s match for Summer Blockbuster. And if MJF feels Mistico is worthy, then maybe MJF will let Mistico wrestle him at Grand Slam: Mexico. Because when it comes to the Hurt Syndicate, it ain’t personal. It’s just business!
The fans are torn, but wait! Here comes “Speedball” Mike Bailey and his team for tonight, Komander & Kevin Knight! They want their trios match already, but Komander also has a mic. MVP says look! It’s White Sho Nuff, Bruce Leroy and the Blue Power Ranger! What’s going on here? MJF asks what they want! Komander tells MJF that he disrespected Mistico, he disrespected lucha libre, and that means he disrespected Komander! But just so you know, MJF, everything that came out of your mouth is utter trash! Do not insult lucha libre, cabron! MJF may not understand that but he knows it wasn’t nice.
The fans rally for lucha, but now Bailey takes the mic to tell MJF off in German! But Bailey says if the Hurt Syndicate wants the best, then standing before them is a trio of international killers! MVP laughs, but Knight says hey, whoa. MJF may not be cultured, unseasoned, and he might not understand what Komander & Bailey said, but Knight will keep it short and simple for his stupid ass: Hurt Syndicate, they could get it popping tonight in the Mile High City! MVP says wait, they want a match tonight with the Hurt Syndicate? They want it here? That’s what they want?! The fans cheer, so MVP says, “Absolutely not. You guys haven’t earned it.”
The Hurt Syndicate exit the ring and MVP says if they’d like an opportunity to stand against the tag team champions, impress them by earning it. The fans tell the Syndicate that they are cowards, and then La Faccion Ingobernable makes their way out! El Toro Blanco and Lashley lock eyes for just a moment. Will Komander & #JetSpeed impress the champs? Or will it be LFI that goes for the AEW World Tag Team Championships?
Six Man Tag: La Faccion Ingobernable VS Komander, Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey!
The trios sort out, and we start with Rush and Knight. Knight runs up, Rush dodges and HEADBUTTS! Bailey jumps in and BOOTS Rush! Mortos WHEEL KICKS Bailey! Komander DROPKICKS Mortos! Dralistico DREAMCAST KICKS Komander! They all go outside, they brawl, and the fans fire up as Rush sends Knight into railing and Dralistico sends Komander into the desk! Rush grabs a bottle, but Knight ducks so that water goes splashing elsewhere! Knight CHOPS Rush, Rush SLAPS Knight! Mortos has Bailey but Bailey fires CHOPS! Dralistico SMACKS Komander off barriers, Rush SMACKS Knight off the desk!
Bailey CHOPS away on Mortos, Dralistico POSTS Komander, Bailey fires LIGHTNING KICKS and the ENZIGIRI! Mortos staggers away, Rush SMACKS Knight off the desk again, then sends him into railing! Rush wants his green cable but Bailey snatches it! Bailey ROCKS Rush, Rush DECKS Bailey! Rush SAMCKS Knight off the desk again, puts him in the ring, and Dralistico whips Komander. Komander reverses and Dralistico hits barriers! Rush has Knight on the apron but Knight slingshots in and arm-drags Rush away! Bailey is in and he CHOPS Rush in the corner! Knight LARIATS! Komander gets a boost to DROPKICK Rush down low!
The fans fire up and Knight covers, TWO! Rush is tougher than that, but Knight drags Rush up. Tag to Bailey, he CHOPS Rush! Bailey KICKS away on Rush, the fans duel, and Bailey snapmares Rush for a basement DROPKICK! The fans rally, Bailey drags Rush up, and Bailey KICKS Rush against ropes! Bailey whips, Rush reverses, and Mortos gets a cheap shot in! Bailey ROCKS Mortos for that, KICKS Dralistico for good measure, but Rush DECKS Bailey! Mortos y Dralistico BLAST Knight & Komander! The ref reprimands but Mortos whips Bailey to a corner for a SPLASH! Dralistico adds a SPLASH! Rush adds a SPLASH!
They snapmare Bailey for a TRIPLE BASEMENT DROPKICK! The fans fire up while Bailey sputters. Rush y Dralistico stand Bailey up, and Dralistico CHOPS! Rush CHOPS! Rush feeds Bailey to Mortos, he trophy lifts, and LFI help! They carry Bailey around to then SUPER LAWN DART him onto Knight & Komander! Denver is thunderous as LFI raise the fist, and Fyter Fest goes picture in picture.
Komander, Knight & Bailey stir, Rush goes out to stomp Bailey and stand him up. Rush ROCKS Bailey, puts him in the ring, then gest on the desk to fire Denver up more. Mortos stomps away on Bailey! The ref reprimands, Mortos backs off, and Rush kicks Bailey around. Rush drags Bailey up to CLUB and BODY SHOT! Tag to Mortos, he CLUBS Bailey down, then he drag Bailey back up. Mortos snapmares for the NECK TWIST! Cover, ONE! Bailey toughs it out but Mortos clamps on with a chinlock. Mortos traps the arms so he can fishhook Bailey’s mouth! The ref counts, Mortos stops, and he tags Dralistico.
LFI mugs Bailey, Dralistico snapmares Bailey to run and basement DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Dralistico clamps onto Bailey with a CAMEL CLUTCH! Bailey endures, Dralistico lets go, and he tags Mortos. Mortos storms up to stomp Bailey’s toes! Mortos drags Bailey up, puts him on the ropes, and SMACKS him down! Mortos whips Bailey into Rush’s BOOT! Mortos hits the BACKSTABBER, Dralistico goes up to add a DOUBLE STOMP! Mortos then runs to FLYING FOREARM! Cover, Knight breaks it! Mortos snarls and he stalks Bailey to ropes. LFI CHOKES Bailey on those ropes, but they stop as the ref counts.
Mortos argues with the ref, but Rush just CHOKES Bailey more! Fyter Fest returns to single picture and the fans rally. Mortos drags Bailey up, tags Dralistico, and they double whip. Bailey handsprings, LFI dodges, but Bailey sends Dralistico into Mortos! Bailey then dodges Mortos to hot tag Komander! The fans fire up as Komander GAMANGIRIS Mortos! An epic battle with LFI and an epic victory, does this earn Knight & Bailey a chance at the Hurt Syndicate? MVP does lead the group back on stage and says give it up for these guys! It is impressive, given how JetSpeed was getting their asses kicked for about 10 minutes. But they had the temerity to pull that win off and that counts for a lot. But y’know what? MVP says they HAVE won their prize! Next week, JetSpeed VS Shelton Benjamin, Bobby Lashley AND MJF in a Trios Match! The beautiful part of that is, they get a preview of that ass whooping right now! Backstage interview with Daniel Garcia & Paragon.
Alicia Atout is with Red Death as he stands beside Adam Cole, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly. Cole asked for this time, so the floor is his. Cole appreciates Garcia for meeting them, and knows they’ve had their differences. But Cole would like to think there is also a mutual respect. More importantly, they can’t stand the Don Callis Family. Cole got an idea: Later tonight, the four of them take on any four Don Callis Family members, and together, Garcia & Paragon can teach them a lesson. What does he say? Garcia says yes, there is respect here. But there are a lot of things Garcia wants. Right now, getting his hands on the Callis Family is number one. See you out there.
They all fist bump and Garcia heads out. Will Garcia help Cole, Roddy & Kyle humble Callis and his pack of jackals? Or are they more like lambs to the slaughter?
Backstage interview with The Patriarchy.
Lexy Nair is now with Christian Cage, “Mother” Shayna, and Nick Wayne. She welcomes them back to Fyter Fest, and notes Nick Wayne’s tremendous showing in his first Best of the Super Juniors tournament. Christian says first thing’s first, Denver, he realizes the thin air up here cuts off the oxygen to their brains, so it gives a great excuse for them all to not be intelligent. But even they have to be smart enough to know that when The Patriarch appears, you sit down and shut your mouths while he conducts his business!
But Lexy is right, Nick had a great showing in NJPW BOSJ. But he didn’t win the tournament. Nick did have a grueling schedule of 14 matches in 22 days. But those are no excuse. Right, Nick? That kind of schedule would’ve earned anyone else a night off. But Nick is not just anybody! Nick is the (adopted) son of Christian Cage! Nick is the ROH World Television Champion! And tonight, they will keep this momentum going. Nick defends his title here tonight in Denver! Nick says great. Christian did this to him before he left, and it was light work for him. Well, Nick didn’t let Christian finish.
The stakes are a bit higher tonight. Not only will Nick be defending that title, it will be in a Fatal 4 Way! Now, Shayna, let’s go find a place to lie down- Oh, uh, well, no, they should actually watch this one. But don’t worry, Nick, Kip’s also got an even bigger surprise for you. What could that mean? And can The Prodigy prove himself once again by overcoming the odds?
Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge: Max Caster VS ???
Platinum Max is back at it again… He tells Colorado, “You are lookin’ live at the Best Wrestler Alive!” The fans are a bit torn on that as Caster holds up his diploma. Caster brings out another piece of paper and says it is a petition acknowledging that Caster is, in fact, the Best Wrestler Alive! Mr. Referee, you need to sign it! The fans boo, but Caster hands the paper over and even adds a pen. The ref is confused as to why, and Caster says surely all the Maximaniacs here in the Mile High City wanna do one thing and one thing only, and that’s chant his name! Caster says here goes!
“Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive! Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive! Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive!” The fans seem to go along with it, and Caster says he’ll be honest, that was still bad. He takes his documentation back from the ref and says tonight is the return of the five minute open challenge! Put five minutes on the clock! DUN DUN, it’s up! Now let’s see who can survive five with the Best Wrestler Alive! The fans cheer as POWERHOUSE HOBBS is here! Caster freaks out as now he must face one-third of The Opps! Hobbs isn’t even in his singlet, he just wants to fight!
The fans chant “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” as Hobbs rips his shirt off! The bell rings, Caster runs up, and Hobbs CLOBBERS him! Caster flounders around, the fans cheer, and Hobbs runs up to SPLASH! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” echoes out as Hobbs LARIATS again and again! Hobbs winds up, runs up, but Caster POKES Hobbs in the eyes! Caster goes up, up, and leaps, but into Hobbs’ arms! The fans tell Caster he messed up! URENAGE!! Cover, Hobbs wins!

The Cleaner from Canada, the King of Death from the United States, the Swiss Cyborg, and the Golden Mask of Mexico. A truly international assortment will battle over this title for this Dynamite main event, and only one can come away the champion! Who will defy the odds and strike gold in Denver?

Je’Von Evans is here!
The fans fire up for the Young OG, but he isn’t alone! Laredo Kid is here, both ready for this Saturday’s NXT North Well, speaking of, here comes Ethan Page! And he says enough of all this. This “Summit” is a farce. Let’s start with Rey Fenix. He’s stuck on a plane and won’t even be here tonight! Then, Je’Von & Laredo Kid are in ETHAN’S ring while Ethan celebrates his championship win, tap dancing on the memory if Ricky Saints. But instead, he has to share his time with these two. And then on Saturday, he defends this title in a Fatal 4 Way. And apparently, Ava has already set up a title defense “for some Evolve kid named Sean Legacy.”
Fans tell Ethan to shut up, but Ethan keeps going. Ethan says the worst of all, he never agreed to any of this! That was Ricky Saints! Ethan did NOT say “yes” to a single thing! Laredo Kid says Ethan just likes to talk, talk, talk, but he doesn’t have the JUEVOS! Je’Von says facts! And plus, Ethan cost Je’Von on SmackDown. Yeah, well that’s what happens when you stick your nose in Ethan’s business! Well, yeah, maybe instead of sticking his nose in Ethan’s business, maybe Je’Von should stick his boot up Ethan’s ass. But for now, it is better if Je’Von just takes that title. Ethan says he does not need to deal with this, he-
Wait! Sean Legacy is here! And “Super Sean” says okay, okay, alright. Ethan did say it: Whoever wins at Worlds Collide, Sean’s got next. And it would be an honor to challenge Laredo, and he is pretty sure he and Je’Von “aren’t done dancing just yet.” The fans cheer that as Sean approaches the ring. Sean says hopefully, and he means hopefully, it is NOT Ethan Page. But if it is, then fine. Because tomorrow night on Evolve, Sean has the chance to become the INAUGURAL WWE Evolve Champion! And then by next Tuesday- Wait, now THE VANITY PROJECT is here! And Ricky Smokes tells Sean he’s killing the vibe.
Ricky Smokes assures Ethan that The Vanity Project, “The hottest faction in Evolve,” has his back. Brad Baylor says hundos, Smokes! When it comes to Sean Legacy, their boy Jackson Drake handles him on Evolve. And believe it when Brad tells you, Jackson is also taking the Evolve title with him. And then a brawl breaks out! The fans fire up as Sean TOSSES Jackson, Je’Von ROCKS Smokes and DUMPS Brad, and then he DUMPS Smokes anyway! Laredo TOSSES Ethan, and Je’Von coordinates with Laredo and Legacy! They all build speed and FLY! The fans are thunderous but security rushes out here!
The fans fire up behind Legacy, Laredo & Je’Von, but will golden opportunities turn into dreams come true? Or will all the gold belong to all these egos?
Six Man Tag: Chase U VS Dark State!
Andre Chase tried to caution his new students, Kale Dixon & Uriah Connors, about taking risks, but they apparently got the advice and the warning flipped around. Now they’re up against the most dangerous men in NXT today! Will the new Chase U pass the test? Or will the only #TeachableMoment be that #NoOneIsSafe?
The brawl is on as Dark State hits the ring! They TOSS Uriah, they TOSS Chase, then whip Kale, but Chase gets Kale out of there! Uriah wants back in, Chase can’t stop him, and Uriah gets mugged 4v1! Saquon Shugars keeps Uriah from getting away, and he feeds Uriah to Cutler James! The bell rings, the fans chant “We Want Truth!” while Cutler waistlocks. Uriah switches but Cutler bucks the O’Conner. Uriah dodges the lariat but not the ELBOW! Cutler hits a fireman’s carry takeover, then RAMS Uriah into the corner! Cutler picks Uriah up to run him corner to corner, then short arm LARIAT! Tag to Dion Lennox and he talks trash.
Dion drags Uriah up, but Uriah SLAPS him! That was a mistake! Dion TACKLES Uriah, throws hands, then hits a BACKBREAKER! Dion drags Uriah by his legs to turn him over, BOSTON CRAB! Uriah endures, reaches out, but Dion drags him back! Uriah fights his way forward, but Saquon distracts Mr. Chase! Uriah kicks free of Dion, hot tag to Kale! Kale rallies on Dion, the fans rally, and Kale goes Matrix to then LARIAT! And FLATLINER! Kale underhooks, but Dion wrenches out. Kale dodges, Dion runs, DOUBLE LARIATS bring them both down! The fans rally while Kale and Dion stir. Kale and Dion crawl, hot tags to Uriah and Osiris!
Uriah dodges Osiris, swings on Cutler, but Osiris CLOBBERS Uriah! And he sucker punches Chase! But Uriah avoids the elbow drop! Osiris runs up, Uriah DUMPS him out, but Osiris rushes back in! Osiris TOSSES Uriah, but Uriah is up to GAMANGIRI! Kale tags in, Osiris puts Uriah in a corner, but Uriah dodges the splash! Chase U DOUBLE SUPERKICK! Cutler runs up, Chase U dodges to DOUBLE LARIAT! Then DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Dion! Then they reel Osiris in, only for Osiris to block and DOUBLE SUPLEX them!! The fans are thunderous, Osiris tags Cutler, then Cutler tags Dion. They get Kale up, DARK STATE BOMB!! Cover, Dark State wins!
Winners: Dark State, by pinfall
The new Chase U shows promise, but they’ll have to go back to the drawing board if they want to survive. Will Dark State make sure #NoOneIsSafe in NXT?
Je’Von, Laredo Kid & Sean Legacy talk backstage
They’re all upset over The Vanity Project showing up and starting beef. Ava Raine has them calm down, and says here is the solution: 8 Man Tag of Ethan & Vanity Project VS Je’Von, Laredo, Legacy, and whoever they can find. Laredo says this is going to be his first night in an NXT ring! Legacy says yeah, and he thought he was the new kid. Je’Von says they can handle this 4v3, facts. But then wait, DRAGON LEE is here! The Boy Wonder volunteers his services, and Laredo’s down for that. Je’Von says bet, and Legacy says that sounds super. Will these four humble All Ego and the Vanity Project as Worlds Collide?
Backstage interview with Trick Williams.
Sarah Schreiber is with the TNA World Champion and says he defends that title tonight against Mike Santana. How does Trick plan on putting down The Realest One? Trick says, “Realest One, Santana? He’s a passionate dude, right. I mean, he’s the loud ‘n’ proud Boricua from Bronx, New York! And tonight is the biggest match of his career.” Trick tells Santana that he might be the Standard of TNA, but Trick doesn’t care how much Santana yells and screams, the standard has changed! Trick Williams is in charge and he calls the shots! For 20 YEARS, TNA has been looking for the one to take them to new levels. The one who can make TNA legit!
They have found that man. But his name ain’t Elijah, Average Joe, and it ain’t Mike Santana. Dammit, it is Trick! And he knows what is best for Trick’N A. The title stays with him, let’s talk about it! Trick is confident as he’s ever been, but will #HollywoodTrick end up a one hit wonder?
Tyra Mae Steele joins the NXT Women’s locker room.
And OMG, she is so excited to have won the first season of LFG. Carlee Bright is so happy for her, Tyra thanks her, but Tyra does have to say, disappointing The Undertaker was as scary as competing in the Olympics. Kendal Grey rolls her eyes, and Arianna Grace says she loves this for Tyra. She is so accomplished! But if we’re seeking inspiration from a winner, remember that Arianna has won numerous beauty pageants. Tyra stops Arianna there, but Arianna says hey, we all know her. She dislikes and detests gossip. But… She thinks what she heard is true. Those gold medals aren’t even 100% gold.
Arianna knows Tyra wants a chance to fit in with the locker room, so here is a pro-tip: Don’t talk about yourself so much. No one likes a braggart, especially a tacky one. Yeah, thanks for the advice… Any time! Arianna flips her hair, rolls her eyes and heads out, but Tyra says there’s her first opponent. Will the first Olympic Gold Medalist in the WWE Women’s Division show Arianna is just second place?

Though he failed to dethrone The Ruler, Myles knows he was born for more than going backwards and falling in line. So as true gentlemen, he and Dempsey will battle in the classic six round, first-to-two-falls format! If Myles wins, he no longer has to listen to what Dempsey has to say. Will Myles win his freedom? Wren and Tavion keep arguing, they each want to help both guys, and the refresher is over. Round two starts and the two tie up. Dempsey cravats and he has the neck wrench. The Culling talks backstage.
Shawn Spears is confident in Brooks Jensen & Niko Vance, but then Izzi Dame SMACKS Jensen down!? The others ask what that was for! They have a match tonight! Izzi says nope, she got that rescheduled to next week. And Jensen is out, Spears is in. Jensen was never fully “bought in.” If you are not committed to The Culling, you are out! Niko and Spears say damn right. What did Jensen do to get him ejected? And with this change, do Briggs & Inamura stand a chance of surviving?
Tyra Mae Steele VS Arianna Grace!

Backstage interview with Mike Santana.
Sarah is now with The Standard and says tonight is the biggest match of his career. He got a great win over Tavion Heights last week, but now it is the TNA World Championship with Trick Williams, how is he feeling? Santana says he should be taking some time to soak it all in. He is about to be in the main event of NXT TV, fighting for the TNA World Championship. What a crazy time we live in. But he will take his time to reflect once he has the title on his shoulder. Now is the time to get busy! Santana tells Trick, “I looked into your eyes and I didn’t see a fighting champion. I saw a pretender! I saw someone who’s fighting for nobody but himself!
“But tonight, for me, it’s the total opposite. Tonight, I fight for every person who’s ever stepped foot in a TNA ring! I fight for the legacy of TNA! Por todo mejente Latina! Todo mejente Boricua y mundo!” But most of all, Santana fights for his baby girl at home as she witnesses history. He promised to come home THE TNA World Champion, and to that girl, he breaks no promises. Trick, Santana knows how great you are! But tonight, he has to be three seconds better! Let’s get it! Santana is all fired up, but will he bring Trick down to earth? Or will that fire only burn him up?
The Fatal Influence is here!
The fans are torn as Fallon Henley & Jazmyn Nyx accompany the NEW NXT Women’s Champion, Jacy Jayne! Granted, it took all three of them and then some to take that title off Stephanie Vaquer, but that won’t matter in the history books. Jacy says no one here supported her the last four years, so they can’t get on the bandwagon now that she’s champ! They can all shut their mouths and listen to what she has to say! The fans boo now, and Jacy says like she was going to say before being so rudely interrupted by the idiots, all is right in the universe because Fatal Influence is finally on top where they belong.
Last week, Jacy pulled off the most shocking moment in NXT HISTORY! And the looks on all the fans’ faces said it all! The most fickle group of fans were left stunned, shocked, jaws dropped to the floor! But you know who wasn’t shocked when all the air got sucked out of the place? Jacy! While the fans underestimated Jacy as the “third wheel” and latched onto whoever the flavor of the month was, Jacy was putting in the work. She got better and she stayed ready. The fans still boo, but Jacy says to shut up! She is talking! The fans boo more, but Jacy says you need to respect the champion!
And for those of you who don’t know, Jacy and Fallon started in this business together. And over the years, Fallon has become like a sister to Jacy. That is why after a very long, long discussion, they decided that it was time to finally run the play. They slap heard around the world! And it was an opportunity that Jacy had to take. But then wait, wait, someone is talking over Jacy? Who is this coming out from the crowd? She introduces herself as Lainey Reid, and the fans already know her. Lainey says Jacy proved anything is possible by beating Stephanie. With this NXT Women’s Division being so stacked, Lainey was going to humbly wait her turn.
But then she realized… Jacy is now the most beatable champion NXT has ever seen! Wait, LOLA VICE is here now! And Lola tells Jacy that she’ll be the first to say congratulations. And that title is not about Jacy, Fatal Influence, or anyone else. It is time that title came home to Vice City! The fans cheer, but wait! Now we have Jordynne Grace! And The Juggernaut says when she came to NXT to be part of the greatest women’s division in the world, she had a plan. But after seeing everything this past week, it is apparent that anything can happen.
Grace thought she knew something about wrestling, but in a world where Trick Williams is TNA World Champion, and Jacy Jayne can beat Stephanie Vaquer, literally anything can happen. And speaking of, Jaida Parker now interrupts! Miss Parker says Grace had her chances. And everyone knows Jaida is the baddest b*tch in this place, so that title needs to be around her waist. WAIT, Kelani Jordan shows up! She points out that if anyone’s proven they can beat Jacy, it’s Lani! And who has never had her chance at that top title? SKRRRRRR~! Lash Legend says no one cares, Kelani! Zip it! Thank you.
Now, as far as the Bougie Bully is concerned, she sees a whole lotta women who have already had their turn. If anyone gets the title off Jacy, it is Lash. Jaida speaks up but THEA HAIL attacks from the crowd! And it is chaos! The Fatal Influence loves it, but they’re forgetting about Lainey! And then the LIGHTS GO OUT!? The lights come back up, and it is MARIAH MAY!?!? The Glamour that was once All Elite is now here in Orlando! And she also loves watching the chaos. “I have FINALLY arrived!” The fans are thunderous for that! Mariah tells Fatal Influence, “You can call me the next NXT Women’s Champion.”
Mariah smiles, Jacy and the Influence seethe, but Mariah says, “The best women’s division in the world just got a lot more glamorous!” She blows a kiss to the Toxic Rockstar, will Jacy have to kiss the belt goodbye already?
The Evolve Women’s Division finishes watching what just happened.
Stevie Turner says the NXT Women’s Division is absolutely stacked! Title contenders wherever you look! She tells all the girls of Evolve that one day, that will be them. The Evolve Women’s Champion, Kali Armstrong, says chicks are lining up for that title. And speaking of, she wants to see who steps to her, The Difference Maker, tomorrow night. Is that an Open Challenge? And if so, who will go after Kali as the inaugural challenger?
Ethan Page & The Vanity Project watch back last week’s NXT North American Championship match.
Specifically, they rewatch Ethan Page giving Ricky Saints a cutter to the chair. Daaaayum~! Ethan says that is how you take away Saints’ voice. And he did take Je’Von Evans’ smile once. Hundos! And tonight, boys, they can even take the masks of Laredo Kid & Dragon Lee. Brad says imagine the look on the ladies’ faces when they see what Laredo & Lee really look like! Jackson says that sounds like more ladies for them! Hundos! And Ethan, don’t worry, they’ll handle Legacy. Ethan says that’s what he was hoping for. Vanity Project may not be ready for NXT just yet, but will this massive win help Dragon Lee lead the LWO to victory against AAA’s Aerostar, Mr. Iguana y Octagon Jr? Will Ethan Page survive his trip to Los Angeles to then defend the title against #SuperSean? Or is everything about to change when Worlds Collide?
Oba Femi waits in Ava Raine’s office.
Robert Stone & Stevie Turner assure the NXT Champion that the NXT General Manager will be back any moment. And are they ready with the contract per his request? Y-Yes, Stone has it right here, it just needs their signatures. Perfect. Oba is ready to sign, but then Jasper Troy steps in. Stevie informs Jasper that Ava will be here shortly. Jasper says they don’t need her for this. Stone says okay, then just sign here. Jasper says, “This is the first time you’ve had to look up at a man to face him. How’s it feel?” Oba says, “Size makes no difference. Whether the mission is to snap a twig or to knock down an oak tree just like yourself, the result remains the same.”
Both behemoths sign on the dotted line, and it is official. Oba and Troy are ready for battle, but will these two bring down the house quite literally when they do?
#ZaRuca talks backstage.
#TwoBeltsSol says everyone is so laser focused on Jacy, it is crazy. Zaria says that’s because everyone knows it is easier to go after Jacy than Sol. But then they come across poor Tatum Paxley. Zaria asks why Tatum didn’t run out there. Tatum says even in that crowded room, she’d be alone. Sol says they’re here for her. Izzi Dame walks in and asks if they really are, though. Tatum’s been down this road, and it has given her nothing. So trust Izzi when she says turning to these “best friends” for help will end the same way. Sol asks, doesn’t Izzi have her own “friends” to worry about? Zaria says Izzi has no friends.
Izzi tells Tatum that we’ve seen what Izzi does to people who’ve crossed her, and who aren’t true friends. She purges them, and that is what Tatum needs. Izzi leaves, but will she lure Tatum into The Culling? Or can ZaRuca help Tatum turn the tide?
Tony D’Angelo is on the phone.
The Don assures the other person not to worry, they’ll figure this out. But then in walks Luca Crusifino and Tony ends the call. Luca asks what’s going on, he hasn’t heard from Tony all week. Tony says Luca wanted to speak to him, but he has no time for small talk. Luca says after last week’s conversation, Luca started to think. About trust and loyalty. Yes, Tony knows that, so get to the point. Luca understands that Tony no longer trusts him. He is making a move to show he is still loyal. What? Luca says he wants Tony to trust him, so they’re going to be in a tag match against High Ryze next week.
Wait, Tony & Luca? Yes! Because Stacked paid off High Ryze to go after Tony before Battleground, so they need to retaliate. Luca wants to do this for the family, but without getting Tony’s consent? Luca says with all due respect, they’re not really a family anymore, are they? The Consigliere leaves, but is he still a D’Angelo? Or is this all part of a plan cooked up by Stacks?

Winner: Trick Williams, by pinfall (still TNA World Champion)
That was a First Class screw job in more ways than one! They make sure Santana fails to keep his promise to his daughter, but now Trick will defend the title against Elijah this Friday! Will the TNA World title soon #WalkWithElijah? Or will Trick win Against All Odds?
My Thoughts:
An awesome NXT, especially as the go-home to a lot of stuff going on this weekend. Very good opening promo segment, but I wonder if the “summit” was a last minute idea as it wasn’t advertised last week or even today on the WWE’s site. Even so, it all worked out to make an awesome 8 Man Tag. Ethan fits in well with The Vanity Project given the concept of ego, but same goes for Je’Von, Laredo Kid, Dragon Lee & Sean Legacy working well as young high-fliers. Great win for the Faces in that, but I feel like that indicates A) the LWO loses to Iguana, Aerostar & Octagon, and B) Ethan finds a way to survive his challengers. And depending on what happens with Evolve, we very well could see Ethan VS Legacy as Champion VS Champion, but only one title on the line.
The TNA World Championship main event was awesome stuff, but while I figured Santana would lose, AJ Francis & KC Navarro showing up was a great surprise. I wonder if First Class is trying to ingratiate themselves to the top champion. And either way, Trick VS Elijah for Friday will be some great stuff, and might be Trick’s second successful defense. Quick side note: AJ Francis returning to WWE via the crossover is a great example of what I hope happens with released stars like Gigi Dolin/Priscilla Kelly and R-Truth/Ron Killings. The fans chanted “We Want Truth” just as they did last night on Raw, we can only hope someone in WWE and/or TKO listens to that.
Dark State of course win their Six Man Tag over Chase U 2.0, and Mr. Chase is understandably upset with Kale & Uriah for not listening for even one second. Chase needs to have one of his famous meltdowns aimed at them to help them understand how serious this is. Great British Rounds match from Myles VS Dempsey, and I had a feeling Myles would win to earn his “freedom” from NQCC. If Sean Legacy doesn’t win the title off Ethan, and if they’re gonna play up Ricky Saints being hurt, I’d love to see Myles get a shot at the North American Championship as his next step.
Good promo from Tony and Luca, they’ll have a good match with Tyriek & Tyson, but I would think Stacks uses that moment to strike and make it at least look like Luca’s on Stacks’ side. Very good atypical contract signing for Oba Femi and Jasper Troy. They didn’t need to go to the ring and sit at a table, say a bunch of stuff, and all the other cliches, because we all know Oba’s accomplishments while Jasper is brand new, having won this spot from LFG. It’ll still be a great match for next week, but I would think Oba wins. A lot of that might also depend on the plans for NXT Great American Bash in Atlanta.
An interesting twist in the Culling’s story. What evidence does Izzi have that Jensen isn’t committed to their faction? And she sure decided to hit first and ask questions never… Perhaps they’re going the opposite direction from what I was predicting: Instead of Briggs breaking down and joining The Culling, Jensen is the one who turns and reunites with his old friend. But then that feels like Jensen, Briggs & Inamura VS Spears, Niko Vance and a new member of The Culling. Izzi also has a good promo with Tatum, Sol & Zaria. I suppose Tatum joining Culling would be the easiest course of action, making for Izzi & Tatum VS ZaRuca, and potentially Izzi or Tatum challenging for the Women’s North American Championship.
And speaking of titles, I think the NXT Women’s Division put it to rest that this is the best, most competitive women’s division in wrestling. Good promo from Jacy to basically explain that the dysfunction was all part of the plan to lure everyone into a false sense of security. And while we got a great flood of top names in NXT today, AND the WWE debut of Mariah May (hopefully that stays her name), this Lainey Reid really stands out as an odd choice. Apparently, she was a mainstay of Level Up, explaining why I didn’t know anything about her…
But even if I did, the way they finally brought her onto NXT was so odd. She hops out from the crowd, all the other established names make real entrances, and then Mariah May steals the spotlight with her arrival. I feel like Lainey ends up a rather random roadblock for Mariah to get at the title, but between them and the other six (Thea, Jaida, Lola, Jordynne, Kelani & Lash), I would love to see a huge tournament that culminates at WWE Evolution in Atlanta. Five weeks, four rounds, the winner of the tournament faces Jacy at Evolution, it all works out. Though it’d be really rough for Jacy if she was a transitional champion after being in NXT and putting in the work, just as she said. Well, I suppose still better than being released…
My Score: 9/10
