Anthony Bowens pitches AEW version of Tough Enough as “Becoming The Elite”
Anthony Bowens took to X to propose AEW revive WWE’s Tough Enough under a new name, suggesting “Becoming The Elite” as a reboot that would provide extra content for Warner Bros. Discovery. The former tag team champion also expressed interest in joining the project as a judge or trainer, directly addressing AEW President Tony Khan.
Earlier this year Bowens opened up about his character’s unfinished story in AEW, saying much of his prior work was intended to lead to something that never materialized and pushing back on fans’ assumptions about his career. He framed the reboot idea as both a creative opportunity for talent development and a way to expand AEW’s content slate.
