Khamzat Chimaev Won’t Face Olympic Wrestlers in RAF, Will Take On UFC Star
Khamzat Chimaev has made it clear he is not interested in taking on Olympic wrestlers in the upcoming RAF card, dismissing the idea as unlikely to align with his plans. The dominant welterweight has pushed back on proposals to square off with high-profile grapplers from an Olympic background, signaling a preference for different matchmaking.
Instead, Chimaev confirmed he will face a fellow UFC fighter on the same bill, opting for a bout that keeps him within the mixed martial arts landscape rather than shifting into pure wrestling showcases. The decision underscores Chimaev’s focus on MMA competition and maintaining his UFC ties while expanding his presence on the RAF stage.
