AAA

AAA finally after a few weeks off has a show this Friday. It isn’t a major show by any means, in fact it’s a very weak go home show to the HeroesImortales show which is the Antonio Pena anniversary show. The main event features Dr Wagner Jr and Psycho Clown vs Hijo de Dr Wagner Jr and Electro Shock. Wagner has wanted to feud with his son and after the last show where he no showed because Konnan said he felt his son wasn’t ready, maybe upper management made the change and changed their mind and they’ll do that feud after the hair vs hair match with Jeff Jarrett at HeroesImortales show. The Co-Main event features Pagano and Joe Lider vs Taurus and Laredo Kid. They don’t have their usual big names on this show, no LA Park, No Mercenaries, no nothing. So I wonder how well this show will do attendance wise, and since it’s AAA you wonder if somebody won’t show up.

Impact

I was at Bound For Glory. It was a very fun show and my Lucha Libre report is that Pentagon and Fenix are awesome as a team. Brian Cage was clearly hurting for this match and his leg was wrapped like a mummy. They ended up losing the match to oVe after they hit Cage without about 50 super kicks and a piledriver. I’m unsure who worked their TV tapings. I was going to go, but after a night of standing for the whole Impact show I didn’t feel up to potentially needing to stand all night again and I might have, the tapings apparently had a sizeable crowd. Something else interesting is on Twitter Juventud Guerrera made his own poster announcing that he was going to Impact but Impact had made no mention, Konnan said on his podcast he had heard nothing about it and Juvey was in fact not there at Bound for Glory and wasn’t Eli Drake’s surprise opponent. So who knows, this could just be Juvey being the Juice.

MLW

MLW’s Tv taping in Chicago will feature a bunch of Lucha Libre guys. They have signed Rush and he’ll also be there for the December tapings in Miami. Court Bauer seems to be trying to take advantage of programs that are hot in Mexico and bringing them to the American audience. If the crowd likes these feuds then he could capitalize off hot feuds in Mexico and make a new niche. It’s great though because a lot of these luchadors are amazing wrestlers and I’m glad Rush is going to have his chance to be exposed to American fans. He’s absolutely great in CMLL. All of the American fans knows about Los Ingobernables de Japon, but now they can see the official real leader of the overall Los Ingobernables faction in Mexico. The idea is eventually to capitalize on his feud with LA Park, which I’m sure Court will execute greatly.

WWE

I don’t usually talk about WWE but Rey Mysterio made his return tonight and I watched the match and it was your typical Rey match in WWE or WCW. He sold a whole lot, got a lot of baby face sympathy and then literally just hit his come back and won. I personally would have given Rey a different opponent because it made Nakamura look so weak. I also would have show cased Rey upon his return so the fans can see he can still go at an elite level off the bat rather than seeing him sell for the whole match.

New Japan

I hope New Japan fans who watched Soberano Jr and Volador Jr see how great they are and that makes them willing to check out a CMLL show. And if you’re going to watch the Friday show. I’m also curious given the circumstances and situation with Pentagon, Fenix, and LA Park, how the FantasticaMania shows will look this year. I know that Pentagon and Fenix want to use their connection with CMLL to eventually get into New Japan somehow. It would be so awesome to see LA Park on that tour as well. To see that living legend with top guys in New Japan would be fun. I strongly would wish New Japan book Pentagon and Fenix for the tag league. I don’t know how that’d work with their schedule but as a fan they’d fit perfectly there and they’d probably get over. Since they have gotten over everywhere else.
