Cathy Kelley met with The Morrigan as she prepares for one more match with Becky Lynch. It has been quite the first year: Queen of the Ring runner-up, inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and even won the WWE Tag Team Championships with Becky Lynch before the betrayal. Lyra says it was a dream come true, and yet it is still so crazy to her that the one thing overshadowing it all is Becky lying to her face. Lyra gave Becky the credit for inspiring her to be who she is, but she has to stop now, because everything The Man was… was a lie. All Lyra can do is be everything Becky is not.

Lyra’s debut was last May, helping Becky against others. Becky was a different person then. She raised Lyra’s hand with the NXT Women’s Championship, so Lyra thought Becky would be there for her. What was the catalyst for this change? Lyra isn’t sure. Maybe Becky just took off the mask she was wearing. Lyra’s name has been in Becky’s mouth again and again the past month, and Lyra says Becky has lost twice. Becky is so delusional, she wants to keep Lyra down and add the Women’s Intercontinental Championship as more an accessory.

Cathy brings up the extra stipulation: If Becky loses, she no longer challenges for this title; but if Becky wins, Lyra will raise Becky’s hand. Lyra says the only way to beat Becky is to not be Becky, and Becky isn’t a woman of her word, so Lyra will be a woman of hers. If Becky wins, “I’ll raise the b*tch’s hand.” So then which is more important: Lyra retaining or Becky losing? Cathy knows they sound like the same but they’re different at their core. Lyra says that before, she felt that as long as she proves she’s the better wrestler, she’ll be satisfied. She’s beaten Becky twice, and yet there isn’t that satisfaction.

Lyra flew her family to Las Vegas, and they watched Becky turn on Lyra! They saw Becky drive Lyra into the mat with THREE Manhandle Slams! Then at Backlash, Becky couldn’t keep it to the two of them, she had to agitate Lyra’s fiancé. Lyra beat Becky, Becky tried to break Lyra’s arm. Lyra will make Becky pay for all that by feeling all the pain and embarrassment Becky tried to put her through. This isn’t about just beating Becky, Becky has to be shattered. Becky has to lose it all. Which lass kicker will have the luck of the Irish on their side here in LA?

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Rhea Ripley VS Naomi VS Alexa Bliss VS Roxanne Perez VS Stephanie Vaquer VS Giulia!

The golden opportunity returns, and only one woman can take hold of it! Who defies these one-in-six odds to be aimed right at a champion?

The bell rings and the fans fire up as all six look up to the briefcase. Then they stare down with each other, waiting to see who makes the first move. Then the brawl is on! Rhea with Giulia, Alexa with Vaquer and Naomi with Roxie! The vets clear the ring of the NXT callups, and the fans fire up as Alexa, Rhea and Naomi stare down. Naomi SLAPS Alexa, RAMS her into Rhea, then runs to DROPKICK Vaquer off the apron! Naomi goes out to grab that ladder from Vaquer, put it in the ring, and then storms up. Rhea and Alexa work together to DROPKICK Naomi down! The fans cheer as these two stare down now.

Rhea and Alexa wave to each other, then go for the ladder! They brawl, Roxie and Giulia join in, and Roxie SMACKS Alexa off the ladder! Roxie and Giulia clear those two out, but then they argue over the ladder. But Vaquer springboards and DOUBLE CROSSBODIES! Vaquer serves SOLE FOOD to Giulia, SUPERKICKS Roxie, then METEORAS Giulia! Roxie runs up, tilt-o-whirls, but Vaquer tucks her in! ANGEL’S WINGS! The fans fire up and Vaquer has the ladder. Naomi ROUNDHOUSES Vaquer! Naomi has the ladder, and she gives Vaquer a FACEBUSTER off it! Vaquer tumbles away as Naomi looks up.

Naomi sees Rhea return and RAMS her with the ladder! Then she gives Rhea a HEATSEEKER on the ladder! Rhea flops back, Naomi talks trash, but Alexa is back! Alexa ducks the ladder toss! Alexa SLAPS, ROCKS, and KNEES Naomi! Then she SMACKS Naomi off the ladder! She drop toeholds Roxie onto the ladder! And then Alexa SENTONS onto them both! Alexa TOSSES Naomi, has the ladder, but Giulia DROPKICKS her down! Giulia has the ladder, the fans want tables, but Giulia puts this ladder in a corner. Giulia storms over to Alexa, Alexa fires body shots, but Giulia CLUBS Alexa down.

Giulia whips, Alexa reveres, but Giulia stops short! Giulia then sends Alexa into the ladder! And she motorcycle stretch STOMPS Alexa into the ladder! The ladder falls while Giulia goes after Vaquer! Giulia KNEES Vaquer, pushes her out, and then goes back to the ladder. Giulia smirks as she stands it up, but then she sees Rhea rising! Giulia puts the ladder aside while the fans fire up. Rhea smiles, Giulia runs up, but Rhea ROCKS Giulia! Rhea bumps Giulia off buckles, DROPKICKS her down, and Giulia narrowly avoids clipping the ladder! Rhea sees Roxie has a ladder and they tug-o-war! Rhea drags Roxie in with the ladder, then basement DROPKICKS her!

Rhea turns around, Naomi wheelbarrows but Rhea SLAMS her onto the ladder! The fans fire up for Mami, and she pushes the ladders aside so she can put them in the ropes. Roxie gets bopped by the back end, but Rhea brings her around. Gut wrench and RAZOR’S- RANA! Roxie sends Rhea onto the ladder instead! Roxie SLAPS Rhea, then goes up the corner! LIONSAULT onto the ladder! The fans fire up while Rhea sputters! Roxie hurries to grab the other ladder and she stands it up! Roxie climbs, reaches out, but Alexa drags Roxie down! Alexa runs up, Roxie dodges and Giulia ROCKS Alexa! Giulia DUMPS Alexa, then she stares down with Roxie.

The fans rally as Prodigy and Beautiful Madness climb. Rhea grabs Roxie’s leg, but Roxie & Giulia go after Rhea! Roxie HAMMERS away on Rhea, Giulia opens the other ladder, and they put Rhea in! They NUTCRACKER Rhea, then SLAM the other one onto it! Roxie HAMMERS Rhea through the rungs, then dumps her out. Roxie and Giulia also dump that used-up ladder, put it on top of Rhea, and then they put more ladders on top! They’re literally burying Rhea! The fans boo but Naomi has a ladder of her own! Naomi stands that up, climbs it, but Vaquer drags her down! Vaquer and Naomi brawl, Naomi fires KNEE after KNEE, then runs to a corner.

Vaquer puts Naomi in the ropes, CLUBS away, but Giulia runs up! Vaquer puts her in the corner, LARIATS, then Roxie runs up, Vaquer HEADDBUTTS Roxie, runs at the corner, but Giulia dodges! Vaquer still LARIATS Naomi, then she dodges Giulia in return for a SNAP GERMAN! Vaquer goes back to Naomi for a DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! The fans rally while Naomi writhes. Roxie runs up but Vaquer snatches her for a suplex! Vaquer goes to the ladder and the fans rally as she climbs. Giulia hurries to drag Vaquer down! And into an IRON OCTOPUS! Vaquer endures, and she still climbs!?

The fans fire up as Vaquer climbs, but Giulia slips down and CLUBS Vaquer! And then HIGH ANGLE GERMANS! The fans rally, Giulia points to the briefcase, and she climbs! Naomi hobbles over to drag Giulia down, and into the rungs! Naomi has Giulia in a Tree of Woe, stomps her, then climbs over her! But Giulia hits a SPIDER GERMAN!! But Alexa DROPKICKS Giulia! Giulia flops out of the ladder and the fans fire up for Lil’ Miss Bliss! Alexa climbs, but Roxie is on the other side of the ladder! Roxie also climbs, and Alexa paws at the briefcase! Roxie reaches the top, she and Alexa brawl! Vaquer has a ladder of her own!

Vaquer stands this ladder up, climbs while Roxie YANKS Alexa into rungs! Naomi climbs Vaquer’s ladder! These four brawl and grab at each other! Giulia returns while Alexa gives Naomi a BACKBREAKER! Giulia scurries up a ladder while Alexa POWERBOMBS Vaquer! Roxie and Giulia have to bail out as Alexa topples the ladders! Roxie goes after Alexa and SMACKS her off rungs! And then the hinges! Roxie & Giulia work together again with moving ladders around. They get Alexa up for a GUTBUSTER along the ladder!! The fans fire up, “This is Awesome!” Roxie and Giulia talk it out, Giulia goes for a ladder, but Roxie attacks!

Roxie SMACKS Giulia off the ladder again and again! But then Giulia TOSSES Roxie out! Roxie dangles, and RHEA RISES! Roxie has seen a ghost! Rhea keeps her from getting away, and TOSSES her into barriers! Rhea storms into the ring, Giulia is shocked, but now these two step up! Rhea dodges a lariat to short arm LARIAT! Short arm LARIAT! And then ripcord, HOOK KICK, and atomic FACEBUSTER! Naomi runs up but into a BOOT! Roxie is back but Rhea kicks her, reels her in, RAZOR’S EDGE into Naomi! The fans fire up again and Rhea drags a ladder into the ring! Rhea wedges it in a corner, but she dodges Giulia!

Rhea Electric Chair Lifts Giulia, to SLAM her off the ladder! Giulia flops back, the fans fire up, and Rhea looks to the briefcase. Rhea grabs another ladder, perhaps the tallest of all, and she stands it up! The fans rally for Rhea as she finally climbs. But Vaquer drags her down! Rhea HEADBUTTS Vaquer down! Rhea looks around, and she hurries to drag another ladder into the ring. Rhea makes a ladder bridge with it, going from a corner to the center. Rhea then drags Vaquer up, brings her around, and pump handles! Vaquer fights free, but Rhea ducks a kick! Electric Chair Lift! Vaquer fights, and she has the headscissors!

The fans fire up as we get an elevated DEVIL’S KISS! AH AH AH AH AH AH AH AH AH AH! YEEEEEEEAH~! The fans are thunderous as Vaquer now has her eyes on the briefcase! Vaquer climbs, reaches out, but Roxie scurries up there! Vaquer has her hands on the hook, but Roxie drags her down! Roxie and Vaquer brawl, and Alexa hurries in! Alexa climbs the other end while Roxie DECKS Vaquer! But now Naomi is back! Roxie and Alexa brawl but Naomi sneaks up! Naomi drags Alexa down, but Vaquer hurries after Roxie! Naomi DECKS Alexa, Vaquer drags Roxie down, and Naomi makes her own ladder bridge!

Roxie and Vaquer fight, and Roxie throws elbows. Vaquer HEADBUTTS Roxie! Naomi scoops Alexa, Alexa slips free and ROCKS Naomi! Roxie SMACKS Vaquer off rungs! Naomi CLUBS Alexa as she climbs! Roxie CLUBS away on Vaquer, Alexa climbs, but Naomi gets back up. Alexa SMACKS Naomi off rungs! Alexa and Roxie have the same idea! STEREO CODE REDS onto the ladder bridges!! The fans are thunderous while all four women are down! Giulia returns and she has her opening! “This is Awesome!” while Giulia undoes the ladder bridges. Giulia makes sure the man ladder is lined up just right, then she climbs.

Roxie hurries to get back up, and she chases after Giulia from the other end! Giulia paws at the case, but Roxie SMACKS her! Roxie fires haymaker after haymaker, pulls hair, but Giulia pulls hair in return! They thrash each other, Roxie SMACKS Giulia off the ladder, but Giulia HEADBUTTS! They each grab for the case, but Alexa is back! Roxie grabs at the hair desperately! Alexa drags Roxie down by a foot! Roxie lets Giulia go as she falls! But Rhea is back to go after Giulia! The fans fire up as Rhea drags Giulia back down! Pump handle and then Alexa clinches Roxie! RIPTIDE and the TWISTED SISTER ABIGAIL in stereo!!

The fans are thunderous again as Rhea and Alexa stare down. They look up, then at the ladder. They tug-o-war over the ladder, then decide to climb! It is neck and neck, but here comes Naomi! Naomi SHOVES the ladder over! Rhea and Alexa can’t bail out, they SMASH off one of the corner ladders!! Naomi stands the ladder back up, hurries to climb, and she grabs at the briefcase! Naomi unhooks it, and WINS!

Winner: Naomi (2025 Miss Money in the Bank)

Dirty Dom was in the crowd for Worlds Collide, and he just could not help himself. He insulted the AAA star for being a big fan of Rey Mysterio, and then got into a fight with him! Dom demanded this match with Octagon, but will he come to regret it? Or will Dom add insult to injury and grow his already massive ego?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if Dom can stay golden!

The bell rings and the fans rally. Dom runs up, Octagon leaps over, then goes Matrix to mule kick, Octagon whips, Dom reverses, but Octagon goes up, up and TORNILLOS! Then he runs, rolls, and headscissors to RANA! Dom tumbles out, the fans fire up, and Octagon hurries to the apron. ASAI MOONSAULT! The fans fire up as Octagon wipes Dom out at the ramp! Octagon drags Dom up, puts him in the ring, and then runs corner to corner. Dom pops Octagon up to put him on the ropes! Octagon lands bad on his spheres but Dom drags him down. Dom then ties Octagon’s mask to the ropes, and he stomps away!

The fans boo, the ref reprimands, and Dom soaks up heat. Octagon’s mask is freed from the ropes but Dom stomps him more. The fans tell Dom off but he tunes it out. Dom kicks Octagon out, throws his shirt at fans, then taunts the AAA stars watching in the crowd. Dom rains down fists on Octagon, then drags him up. Dom whips Octagon to a corner, runs in, but Octagon slips outside! Octagon GAMANGIRIS, goes up, up, and TORNILLO ARM-DRAGS! The fans fire up for Octagon as he SUPERKICKS Dom down! Octagon then runs corner to corner, goes up and over, TORNILLO VADER! Cover, TWO!

Octagon is annoyed but he brings Dom up. Dom kicks low, and he snap suplexes! Dom stands up for Uno Amigo! And then he hits Dos Amigos! Octagon fights the third, runs, but into a MICHINOKU DRIVER! Cover, TWO! Dom is annoyed, Liv coaches him up, and Dom DROPKICKS Octagon onto the ropes! Dom dials it up, but Octagon ducks! Octagon skins the cat, avoids the boot, and he GAMANGIRIS! Dom falls, Octagon slingshots for the TORNILLO SPLASH! Cover, TWO! The fans rally, Octagon drags Dom up, FISHERMAN SCREW! Octagon puts Dom in the drop zone, goes up and up, but Liv distracts! Chad Gable tells Julius & Brutus that while things didn’t go Chad’s way for Worlds Collide, that’s all the more reason they need to support their amigo, El Grande Americano. Luckily, Gable always has a plan. The plan is the official Fireball branded ladder! Brutus loves it, but he doesn’t know what Fireball is. Julius hesitates, and Gable says it’s cinnamon whiskey! Julius says yeah, cinnamon whiskey! Gable says this is Grande’s ticket to the top! So Brutus & Julius need to make sure this is under the ring where Grande can find it, comprende? Si! Gracias. Gable heads out, but will things get spicy thanks to this Fireball?

The Morrigan said it herself, The Man was her hero, was her mentor, was her friend, but what Becky is now is a selfish, backstabbing narcissist! But there is an agreement: if Becky loses to Lyra again, this is the last time these two will battle over this title; but if Becky wins, Lyra must shake her hand! Will the third time be the charm for Becky bringing Lyra down? Or will Lyra leave Becky in the past and focus on the future?

Becky underhooks, Lyra fights that, and then Lyra spins things to a SWINGING NECKBREAKER! Both women are down and the fans rally up. Becky and Lyra stir, rise up, and they go to corners. They stand, and they run up! Lyra LARIATS! And LARIATS! Becky dodges but Lyra RAMS, KICKS, and ENZIGIRIS!

Becky scrambles forward to the ROPEBREAK! Lyra lets go at 4, Becky bails out, but Lyra runs and WRECKS Becky with a dropkick! Lyra then PLANCHAS to the floor! The fans fire up and Lyra puts Becky back in. Becky bails out the side, Lyra storms up on her, but Becky elbows Lyra! Becky whips, Lyra reverses and TOSSES Becky! Becky is on the barriers and Lyra fires off Kawada Kicks! Lyra holds onto her belt a moment, then hops up onto the desk! TURN OF FORTUNES off the barrier! The fans are all fired up as Lyra puts Becky back in! Lyra goes up the corner, and she wants it again! TURN OF FORTUNES into a POWREBOMB!! High stack, TWO!!

Becky and Lyra are both down and the fans are thunderous! “This is Awesome!” as Lyra and Becky stir. “We Want Truth!” but Becky rises. Lyra anchors Becky’s foot, but Becky kicks free. Becky climbs, but Lyra trips her up! Lyra goes up after Becky again, fireman’s carries, and the fans fire up, but Becky fires elbows! Lyra powers up to lift! But Becky still fires elbows! Becky clinches, SUPER MANHANDLE SLAM!!! Cover, TWO?!?! No one can believe it, least of all Becky! LA loses its mind over it, and Lyra flops out of the ring. Becky goes out to fetch Lyra, but Lyra SLAPS her! Becky POSTS Lyra! And MANHANDLE SLAM to the floor!

Becky drags Lyra up, the count is 5 of 10, and Becky has to power the ragdoll around! Becky refreshes the count at 7, drags Lyra up, but Lyra fireman’s carries! NIGHTWING DRIVER to the floor!! The fans fire up and the count rises again! We pass 5, then 7! We hit 8! 9! Lyra and Becky spring to life and jump in at 9.99!! The fans fire up as this continues! Becky scowls as she crawls her way over. They go forehead to forehead, then forearm for forearm! The fans fire up as this is a scrap! Lyra fireman’s carries, Becky slips down and O’Conner Rolls! TWO and Lyra has the O’Conner, TWO! Lyra is sent into ropes! MANHANDLE- NO, victory roll, TWO!

Becky has the roll with tights!! BECKY WINS!!

Lyra is stunned, but The Man just stole this one! Becky is only the second-ever WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion, and the first #FiveStarChampion! But now, Becky wants Lyra to honor the agreement: raise her hand! Lyra stands, Becky tells her to do it! Lyra’s a woman of her word, isn’t she? Lyra reluctantly raises Becky’s hand, then lets it go. Becky says no, hold on, they gotta hit all four sides of the ring. Lyra accepts and she raises Becky’s hand to do the lap. And with that, Lyra goes to leave, but Becky won’t let her. Becky wants Lyra to put the belt on her, but Lyra says that wasn’t part of the deal!

Step two was recruiting monsters like Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed to be his muscle. And step three will be to acquire this briefcase for a second time in his career. Will the pieces all fall into place for The Architect? Or will someone else’s dreams come true in the City of Angels?

The bell rings and the fans fire up already. Rollins watches all his opponents, but then realizes he’s surrounded. Well, he did go after everyone just last night… Rollins wants them to hold on, but he gets mugged 3v1! Grande falls back, Solo says that’s good, and then he TOSSES Rollins out! But now Solo realizes he’s surrounded. The Bloodline, both before and after he took over, made these guys their enemy so… Solo says Cero Miedo? Penta SUPERKICKS! SHADOW ELBOW from Andrade! Knight whips Solo to a corner then hits a JUMPING NECKBRAEKER! Solo flops into the corner, Penta gives him the headstand DROPKICK!

The fans fire up as Solo flops out of the ring, and then Knight sees Grande with a ladder! Knight WRECKS Grande with a dropkick! Rollins CLOBBERS Andrade, fires off on Penta, and then he KICKS Andrade! Rollins and Andrade brawl, Rollins stomps away on Andrade. Rollins DECKS Penta, then he drags Andrade up. Andrade kicks low, fires forearms, the fans chant “That’s Chad Gable!” “NO, IT’S NOT!” The fans argue like Maggle does with Pat and Wade! Andrade whips Rollins, Rollins reverses, and Andrade FLIES onto Knight, Solo and Grande! Penta SUPERKICKS Rollins out to join them! Penta then goes up, CERO! MIEDO!

Penta SUPER CROSSBODIES everyone down! But Grande CLOBBERS Penta into a ladder! Grande grabs a ladder, RAMS Rollins, then RAMS Knight! And Solo! And Andrade! Did Wade just say the evidence is Grande’s nips are different than Gable’s?! The fans duel about Gable/Grande as he stands the ladder against the post. Penta ENZIGIRIS Grande down! Penta puts the ladder in, puts Grande in a corner, and then Penta winds up to CHOP! The fans “WOO~!” while Grande sputters. Penta nods and he brings Grande up. Penta whips, runs up, and GAMANGIRIS! Grande sits down, Penta runs and headstands, but Rollins RAMS him with a ladder!

Andrade leaps in, Rollins CHUCKS the ladder at him! The fans are torn as Rollins sets the ladder up, but Grande waistlocks. Solo DECKS Knight, Rollins lifts Grande, but Grande slips free to Gory Especial! And then NIAGARA DRIVER onto the ladder! Wait, isn’t that Gable’s move? Grande sets the ladder up, Solo beats up on Knight more, and Grande climbs. Solo drags Grande down, UPPERCUTS him, then THROWS him into the ladder! Grande falls, Solo takes the ladder for his own, and he puts the ladder in the corner. Fans want tables, but Solo drags Gable up to scoop and SLAM onto the ladder!

Grande writhes, Solo mocks Gable with “AH THANK YEW~!” But Knight SMACKS Solo off the ladder, then rains down fists! “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” Knight has the ladder, but Solo kicks it into Knight’s legs! Then Solo SUPERKICKS Knight down! Solo mocks the “L! A! KNIGHT! DURR!” Solo fireman’s carries Knight, and he grins as he stands over the ladder, But Knight slips free to NECKBREAKER onto the ladder! Knight rolls back onto his feet and the fans fire up! Spell it out! “L! A! KNIGHT! YEAH!” ELBOW DROP on the ladder! Knight kicks Solo out, stands that ladder up, and he climbs up, only for Penta to get back in!

Penta climbs up, he and Knight brawl! The fans cheer back and forth, “YEAH! CERO! YEAH! MIEDO!” But Penta HEADBUTTS Knight! Rollins brings a taller ladder and he climbs now! Penta and Knight see that, but then Grande also joins in! They all brawl, Grande stops Rollins, and then Solo has his own ladder! Not quite as tall as Rollins’  but he climbs. Andrade jumps in, gets on the ladder, and they are all brawling side-by-side! They crisscross with their shots, Grande HEADBUTTS Rollins down! Knight DECKS Penta, but Rollins tips his ladder over! Down goes Grande with a HOTSHOT! Solo does the same to Andrade!

Solo and Rollins get Knight and Penta! SAMOAN SPIKE for Knight, PEDIGREE for Penta! Rollins and Solo stare down, these two villainous masterminds both smiling. They clear out some space so they can circle. The fans chant for “O T C! O T C!” but the hands start flying! Rollins gets the edge, but Solo shoves and SUPERKICKS! Solo arms his thumb, but Solo ducks the spike! SUPERKICK! Rollins SUPERKICKS again! Rollins brings the ladder around, and he RAMS Solo! Fans chant for “C M PUNK! C M PUNK!” but Rollins puts the ladder against a corner. Rollins kicks Solo, reels him in, but Solo fights the lift!

Solo fireman’s carries, but Rollins fights free! Solo runs up, but Rollins drop toeholds him onto the ladder! Then he CURB STOMPS!! Solo sputters and Rollins hurries for a new ladder. Rollins puts the tallest ladder in, but the fans chant “CERO! MIEDO!” Rollins stands the ladder up, climbs it, but Grande sneaks in! Grande hurries to get behind Rollins! ANKLE LOCK!! Grande has Rollins hanging upside-down on the ladder! Andrade climbs up, he has Rollins, but then Penta joins in, too! Penta keeps Andrade from climbing, but then Andrade SUPER SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMBS Andrade! Penta SUPERPLEXES Rollins onto the other ladder!!

Heyman is freaking out and the fans are losing their minds! “This is Awesome!” as all six men are down! Andrade and Penta stir, and they have the main ladder. They both rise up, lock eyes, and though they are amigos, they gotta do what they gotta do. They both climb, they reach the top, and the brawl is on! Andrade SMACKS Penta off the top rung, and then again! Andrade then climbs down the ladder so he can go around and YANK Penta down. Andrade stands Penta up, but Penta SUPERKICKS !Penta climbs, Knight crawls in, and Andrade grabs the second ladder! Andrade SMACKS Penta with it! Penta flops down, and Andrade makes a ladder bridge.

We saw how the bridges worked out in the women’s match, and Knight goes after Andrade! Andrade LARIATS Knight up and out, but Penta climbs! Andrade uses his bridge as a shortcut, and then he drags Penta around. The fans fire up, but Penta fights the suplex! Penta throws body shots, then tucks Andrade in! CERO! MIEDO! LADDER DESTROYER!! And perhaps quite literally, as the rungs seem to crack from that impact! Both Andrade and Penta flop down, but the fans rally for “CERO! MIEDO!” Penta rises again and goes to the ladder. But Solo drags him down, SMACKS him off the ladder, and Penta falls in a heap.

Solo mocks Cero Miedo, then the strut. Solo stomps Penta, but then Knight drags Solo out! Knight fires hands, “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” Knight THROWS Solo into the barriers! Knight takes a very big ladder and makes it a bridge between apron and ring. Knight goes to solo, but Solo UPPERCUTS him! Solo hurries to bring Knight around, but Knight stops from hitting steel steps! Knight THROWS Solo into the steps, then gets int he ring. But Penta SUPERKICKS! Penta CLUBS Knight, runs, but Knight pops Penta up! Knight brings Penta around, but Penta slips free to hit a CODE RED! Both men are down and the fans fire up!

Penta climbs and the fans fire up! But Grande is back! SUPER GERMAN SUPLEX! “AH GRACIAS~!” But Rollins is back! GERMAN SUPLEX from Grande! Grande then GERMAN SUPLEXES Knight! Solo is up, but Grande GERMAN SUPLEXES Solo! Rollins kicks low, whips, but Grande reverses to send him into the ladder! The ladder falls, Grande props it up in a corner, and the fans duel again. “That’s Chad Gable!” “NO, IT’S NOT!” Grande goes out, and he looks under the ring. Bingo! The Fireball Ladder is here! And it is the TALLEST of all! Grande pushes it into the ring, equips it, and he starts up a Terry Funk style ladder-copter!

Grande mows down everyone with his Fireball, “AH GRACIAS~!” Grande stands that ladder up, and it almost touches the briefcase on its own! Grande climbs, but Penta rises! The fans fire up as they both climb and meet at the top! Penta blocks Grande, fires haymakers, and Penta HEADBUTTS Grande!! But Grande’s own mask might’ve been loaded, Penta is dazed! Rollins rises up to ROCK Penta! Penta ROCKS Rollins! They brawl, Penta kicks Rollins down the rungs, but Rollins climbs back up. Oh NOW we see Grande load his mask! Rollins fires hands on Penta, HAMMERS Penta down, and Rollins reaches out! But Penta fires body shots!

Penta and Rollins are desperately clinging to the rungs, but Rollins falls! Penta holds on by one hand! The fans are thunderous as Penta rises up! Knight stops Grande to CTAPULT him! But Grande goes up his corner ladder! And then the other corner ladder! Grande planned this all along! He’s up top, he LOADED HEADBUTTS Penta!!! Knight and Rollins hurry, Knight is up the ladder to SUPER SAIDO Grande down!!! The fans go nuts as The Mega Star makes a huge save! But that lets Rollins be all alone! Rollins kicks everyone else out, then climbs! But Andrade crawls in! El Idolo hurries after the Visionary, but he’s so far away!

Rollins has a hand on the briefcase! But Andrade climbing shakes things up quite literally! Rollins has to fight Andrade off, but now Penta is here! They both get after Rollins! Andrade YANKS Rollins down, then BOOTS him! Andrade and Penta hurry up top again! They brawl like before, but Andrade has more gas in the tank! Andrade SMACKS Penta off rungs, Penta falls, but Solo rushes up the ladder! Andrade has the briefcase, but now he dangles from it!! Solo and Rollins reel Andrade in, beat him up, but Andrade fights them off! Knight LARIATS Rollins! Penta climbs a shorter ladder to get around Andrade!

Knight and Penta mug Andrade, and Rollins shouts for his hitmen! Knight drags Andrade down but Penta ROCKS Knight! Oh here come Bron & Bronson! SPEAR for Grande!! Bronson drags Penta off the ladder! Bron drags Knight off the ladder! POWERBOMB for Andrade, and Bron TOSSES Knight! They knock the Fireball ladder over, BREAKING it!! Bron builds speed to SPEAR LA Knight!! Bronson beats up on Penta and Andrade, then he climbs up a corner! TSUNAMI onto Andrade!!! Solo begs for mercy, he and Bronson used to be boys! But speaking of Solo’s boys, here comes Jacob Fatu & JC Mateo!!

The fans are thunderous as the Samoan Werewolf and Imperial Unit step to Rollins’ attack dogs! The brawl is on! Fatu has Bronson, Bron has JC! Things spill outside for Bron and JC, Bronson HEADBUTTS Fatu, but then Bron POSTS JC! Bron lines up a shot, runs in, SPEAR through the barriers!! Bronson is stunned to see that, but he goes back to Fatu. Bron throws hands, then runs, but Fatu POP-UP SAMOAN DROPS?!? Fatu hits the biggest Samoan Drop ever! Then he DIVES to take Bronson out into the announce desk! The fans are thunderous as Fatu sees everyone is down. Solo smiles, and Fatu says, “I LOVE YOU, SOLO!!”

Fatu helps Solo into the ring, then helps him to get a ladder. Solo applauds as Fatu puts it right in place for Solo. Solo hugs it out with Fatu, then he climbs. Fatu is on defense, but then he looks up at Solo. The fans fire up as Fatu clamps onto a leg!! Solo is confused, looks down, and asks what’s going on. The fans cheer Fatu on as he shakes his head. “I HATE YOU, SOLO!!” Fatu drags Solo down and SUPERKICKS him!! The fans are thunderous as Fatu is now his own man! Fatu puts the ladder aside so he can then put Solo in the drop zone. Fatu goes up the corner, BEST MOONSAULT EVER!! Fatu geeks out and the fans are with him!

Solo sputters around and Fatu slowly heads that way. Fatu goes to the apron to join Solo, right where Knight’s ladder bridge awaits! Fatu clinches Solo, for an URENAGE down through the ladder! The fans lose their minds again but they cheer Fatu on! Fatu leaves Solo down in the wreckage, now a lone wolf. Wait, Rollins has a second Fireball ladder! He stands this one up, even as the fans chant for “C M PUNK! C M PUNK!” Rollins climbs, grins, but KNIGHT is up! Knight drags Rollins down! LARIAT! Knight climbs, the fans fire up, and Heyman shouts! Rollins is up, he drags Knight down, but Knight kicks low!

Knight cravats but Rollins RAMS Knight into the ladder! CURB STOMP!! Rollins stands his ladder up again, climbs back up, reaches out, and he unhooks the briefcase! ROLLINS WINS!!

And now, with both the Undisputed WWE Champion and WWE World Heavyweight Champion in tonight’s main event, could he look to bring about step four already? Speaking of WrestleMania in Las Vegas, that is where the American Nightmare lost the Undisputed WWE Championship, but where Main Event Jey won the World Heavyweight Championship! And now, they both fight to save the WWE from a bleak and obnoxious future. A living legend wants to retire the legacy of this company while the glorified influencer wants to be the face of this company. Will they both get their way at our expense? Or can Cody & Jey turn the tides before it is too late?

The big fight introductions are given, including Cena being called the Greatest of All Time, The Never Seen Seventeen, and The Last Real Champion. The teams sort out and the fans chant, “Let’s Go, Cena!” “CENA SUCKS!” Cena starts against Cody as a rematch from Mania 41, only for Cena to tag Logan. That’s a rematch in itself, and the two circle. They feel things out, but then Cena tags in. Cena is trolling Cody at this point, but the two tie up. Cody headlocks, the fans sing for “Cody! Cody Rhodes~!” Cena powers up and out, Cody runs Cena over, and Cena scrambles away to tag Logan! The fans boo and Cody is disappointed.

Cody and Logan circle, feel things out, and they show off their rolls. Cena applauds but no one else does. Then Cody cartwheels and the fans fire up! Logan cartwheels, Cody says get a load of this guy. Cody and Logan circle, tie up, and Cody headlocks. Logan powers up and out, the fans want Truth, and Cody RUNS Logan over! Things keep moving. Logan hurdles but Cody kicks low! Cody suplexes, holds Logan up, and then GOURD BUSTERS! Cody drags Logan up, wrenches an arm, and Jey offers his hand. The fans ‘YEET!” and Cody tags Jey in! Jey goes up to AX HANDLE Logan’s arm! “YEET!”

Jey wrenches Logan’s arm, but Logan DECKS Jey! Logan stands Jey up just to DECK him again! And again! Jey sputters, Logan taunts him, and then brings him around. Logan winds up, Jey ducks the haymaker to POP-UP NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Logan stays in this, but Jey stalks him to a corner. Jey climbs up to rain down fists! The fans “YEET!” along, then Jey winds up, pops ‘n’ locks and puts some stank on the HAYMAKER! That’s ten and the fans cheer. Jey drags Logan up, Logan ELBOWS free, then BOOTS! Logan goes up, up, and BLOCKBUSTERS! Cover, TWO! Tag to Cena and he rains down fists!

The fans boo but Cena stomps Jey. Cena drags Jey up, puts him in a corner to whip corner to corner hard! Jey falls and the fans duel again. Cena stares Cody down, goes back to Jey, and he throws more hands. Cena has Jey in a corner, whips him corner to corner again, and Jey hits buckles hard! Jey falls and crawls to the apron. Cena distracts the ref so Logan can drop an elbow! Cena drags Jey up, bumps him off buckles, and the fans duel, “You Can’t Wrestle!” “YES, HE CAN!” Cena whips, Jey reverses, and Cena hits buckles hard! Cena falls, both men are down, and the fans rally back up.

Jey and Cena crawl, hot tag to Logan! Logan drags Jey back, has a toehold, then he stands Jey up. Logan wrenches and GUT WRENCH SLAMS! Cover, TWO! Logan drags Jey over, tags Cena, and they mug Jey. The ref reprimands, Logan steps out, and the fans duel more. Cena taunts Cody, taunts Jey, and Cody gets riled up. Jey rises, Cena runs up and LARIATS! Cena smirks and paces around Jey. Jey slowly rises, Cena runs and SHOULDER TACKLES! Cena takes his time standing back up, and he takes a mocking bow. Cena then lets Jey go to the ropes to stand up, before he hits another SHOULDER TACKLE!

The fans boo but Cena toys with Jey more. Jey stands, but he blocks the haymaker to ROCK Cena! “YEET! YEET!” But Cenae gets around to SPIT OUT BOMB! The fans boo but Cena still says, “You Can’t See Me!” Cena runs for the FIVE KNUCKLE SHUFFLE! Jey sputters, Cena fireman’s carries, but Jey slips into the SLEEPER!! The fans fire up as Jey squeezes tight! Cena reaches out, Logan does what he can, but they’re still so far away! The fans rally, Cena RAMS Jey into buckles and both men fall! The fans rally again while both men stir. Cena and Jey crawl for their corners, hot tag to Logan, and he intercepts Jey!

Logan says, “Oopsie!” Logan whips Jey away, BOOTS him down, and then hits the Hulkster pose. HULK LOGAN LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Jey stays in this, but Logan drags him into a chinlock! Logan squeezes tight but Jey endures. Jey fights up, the fans rally behind him, and Jey reaches out! Cody does what he can, but they’re still so far away! Logan THROWS Jey down and Cena applauds. Again, he’s the only one. Logan puts Jey in the corner, fires body shots, then keeps Jey cornered to throw more shots! The fans boo but Logan stops as the ref counts. Jey sputters while Logan paces. Cena tags himself in, just to BLAST Cody!

Cena puts Jey back in the corner, fires hands, but Cody runs up! The ref stops Cody, and that lets Cena & Logan choke Jey! Cena drags Jey up, suplexes, then covers, TWO! Cena clamps onto Jey with a chinlock while the fans duel again. Jey endures, fights up, and he reaches out. Cena keeps Jey from Cody, even if by fingertips. Cena throws Jey, goes after Cody, but Cody counter punches! Cena blocks a kick, but he spins Jey for the DRAGON WHIP! The fans fire up while both men are down! Cena and Jey crawl, but Logan tags himself in first. Only for Cena to tag himself back in? The egos are starting to clash and the fans like it!

The arguing between Cena and Logan as egotistical teacher and student is letting Jey get away! The fans cheer Jey on as Jey hot tags Cody! Cody rallies on Cena and Logan with LARIAT after LARIAT! Then Cody whips Cena, only for Cena to reverse. Cody goes up and over, SNAP POWERSLAM for Logan! Cody drops down to UPPERCUT Cena, and then he springboards for the CODY CUTTER! Cody DUMPS Logan out, keeps moving, and he DIVES! Down goes Logan and the fans fire up! Cody hurries back to the ring and he climbs up. MISSILE DROPKICK for Cena! Dragon sleeper, and CROSs- NO, Cena powers out! Logan’s ONE LUCKY RIGHT!!

Cena fireman’s carries Cody, ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT!! Cover, JEY BREAKS IT! But Logan aims, slingshots, but the Snapshot glitches! Jey SUPERKICKS him down! ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT for Jey!! CROSS RHODES on Cena!! Logan SPLASHES onto Cena as Cody moves!! The fans fire up, Jey SPEARS Logan!! All four men are down, and the fans fire up! Cena and Jey rise first while the fans rally again. Cena swings but Jey counter punches! They go back and forth, “YEET! BOO!” Cena kicks low! Jey UPPERCUTS back! Cena KNEES Jey in the head! Cena then fireman’s carries, but Jey slips free! SUPERKICK!

Cena flops out of the ring, but Logan ROCKS Jey! Jey ROCKS Logan! “YEET! BOO!” Logan UPPERCUTS Jey down! Logan soaks up the heat from the fans, but Cody ROCKS Logan! Logan ROCKS Cody, repeat! “YAY! BOO!” Cody JABS, JABS, and JABS! Flip, flop, fly, but Logan kicks low! Logan back suplexes for the PAULVERIZER!! Logan calls to his Maverick drone! The drone came watches as Logan climbs. Logan holds the came in his hand, but Cody gets up after Logan! Now the camera watches Logan take a SUPER DUPER PLEX!! And then an USO SPLASH!! The fans fire up as Logan sputters and coughs!

Jey HIP ATTACKS Logan in the corner! Cena ATTITUDE ADJUSTS Jey! ATTITUDE ADJUSTMENT for Cody!! Cover, TWO!! All four men are down, but Cena sits up and scowls. Cena thinks what he has to do, and he goes out to drag Cody over. Cena SMACKS Cody off the steps, then he clears off the announce desk! The ref reprimands but Cena drags Cody up to SMACK off steps again. Wait, Cena also clears off the Spanish desk? Cena puts Cody on the English desk, climbs up to join him, and he aims at the Spanish desk! But Cody slips free! Jey is on the Spanish desk, and he SPEARS Cena onto the English one!!

The fans fire up as now everyone is down on the outside! Logan has Cody in the ring, but he SUPER DUPER ASAI MOONSAULTS Jey down through the desk!!! The fans lose their minds as Logan busts out something legit! But wait! Cena sneaks his title belt into the ring! Cena sees the ref is busy checking Jey and Logan! Cena winds up, BELT SHOT on Cody!!! Cena gets away with it, but wait! Who is that in the ring?! They TACKLE Cena, rain down fists, and REVEAL! IT’S R-TRUUUUTH! The fans wanted Truth, and Truth is here! BELT SHOT!!! Truth then sneaks away into the night like the vigilante hero he is!

Cody drags Cena up, CROSS RHODES!!! Cover, CODY & JEY WIN!!!

Just when we thought all hope was lost, R-Truth makes the R stand for “revenge!” And on top of that, Cody just pinned the Undisputed WWE Champion! Will this lead the American Nightmare back to the mountaintop? Will Jey still be there waiting for him after his championship defense this Monday?

My Thoughts:

An awesome MITB, especially with that ending. R-Truth (or perhaps Ron Killings?) returns to screw Cena as Cena tries to cheat his win, that was such a good move. Was the fan response enough to change WWE’s mind? Was the contract news kayfabe to work us all along? Who knows if we’ll ever know, surely someone out there is digging for that answer right now. But in story, it still works so perfectly because we all thought Truth was just gone, and now he gets his revenge on Cena. And as I figured, this can help Cody head back for the title because of his pin on Cena. I totally forgot Night of Champions is next, so that could easily be where they have the rematch, if only because the Saudi princes will pay a truck ton to have it.

Dom VS Octagon was a “last minute” addition, but for being short with Liv interfering, it was still pretty good. I hope there’s a rematch so they can go the extra mile, this was maybe the bare bones of what these two can do. Becky VS Lyra was great stuff, scrappier than their previous match, but it went as I expected: Becky won and was demeaning to Lyra. Lyra gets Becky back right away, and I wonder if they get put in the Queen of the Ring Tournament to essentially cancel out and spin off for yet another Intercontinental Championship match, perhaps at Night of Champions or beyond.

And of course, the MITB matches were great stuff, and a great opener for the show with the Women’s MITB. Great spots with the ladder bridges and such. Some might say those were too coordinated, spot calling ruining things, whatever, but let’s not expect wrestlers to get reckless just for the sake of… I don’t even know, realism? In what is basically an action movie made in real-time? It was still great stuff, Naomi winning was the right choice, because as I said for SmackDown, Naomi and Tiff have their grudge, but there’s also Jade and Bianca to stand in Naomi’s way.

The Men’s MITB was really wild for all the overbooking they put into it. One day, a kayfabe authority figure will actually think ahead and ban ppl from ringside so Rollins’ team can’t do stuff like this, but at the same time, it all worked for story. For one, Fatu has his moment of betraying Solo and the fans loved it. And then, absolutely no CM Punk or Sami Zayn, that’s rather surprising. But I suppose for Rollins’ story to progress, it has to be Rollins as Mr. MITB so that we can all be waiting for the moment on Raw he cashes in. Why else would we put Jey VS Gunther on Raw after MITB instead of either on MITB or wait until Night of Champions? And then, on Raw, Punk, Sami, and maybe even a returning Roman Reigns, make sure Rollins fails.

One of the men to main event the original Worlds Collide in 1994 is honored to call this event for the English commentary. 30 years ago, the world was introduced to Rey Mysterio and a whole generation of lucha libre, and now it happens again!

Rey Mysterio heads to the ring!

This may not be San Diego, but Los Angeles fires up for the King of Lucha and WWE Hall of Famer. He was even awarded with the Legend Impact Award by the National Hispanic Media Council just last night, and Rey is now here to bring his career full circle. Rey has the mic, and he admires the logos together. He says how incredible it is to see these two together. Rey asks how LA is doing, and the fans cheer. They chant “LUCHA! LUCHA!” and Rey says that 31 years ago, here in LA, it was the first-ever Worlds Collide. That was 1994! Yeah, a long time ago. And that was Rey’s first time jumping to the WWE.

The fans chant, “You Deserve It!” Rey thanks them for that, and says he thought that then, lucha libre would only be seen in Mexico. But he is blessed and proud to see the evolution and to be part of it! And now, WWE and AAA are going to only grow lucha libre! The fans cheer for “MEXICO! MEXICO!” and Rey says the entire world will now see and know the one thing he fell in love with as a kid: true lucha libre! The fans cheer that! How high and how far can WWE y AAA go now that they’re together?

Joaquin Wilde got knocked for a loop on WWE Speed, so he is out of action for tonight as precaution. But the Golden Lynx is ready to help the LWO make this a Lucha House Party! Will it be a fiesta for all after this huge opening match?

The fans cheer as the six men have a stare down before they sort out. Octagon starts against Cruz and they step up. They get fire dup, shake hands, and then circle. They tie up, Cruz waistlocks, but Octagon wrenches and wristlocks to then hammerlock. Cruz works on his escape, sits down, rolls, btu Octagon rolls with him. Cruz reaches back, then hits a flying-mare! They go again with knuckle locks, Cruz gets Octagon down then jumps up, but Octagon uses that to fling himself up! He balances on Cruz’s shoulders, sunset flips, TWO! Cruz headlocks, Octagon powers up and out, but Cruz RUNS him over! The fans fire up with Cruz as things speed up.

Octagon avoids a leg drop, Cruz avoids a penalty kick, but Octagon jackknife bridges! TWO as Cruz bridges up, spins things around, and then they both try to arm-drag! Octagon switches angles to arm-drag, but then Cruz arm-drags back! Sweep and cover, ONE! Octagon sweeps and covers, ONE! They both spring up and the fans cheer! The fans cheer while Iguana is stuck playing dead. Lince drags him up, whips him, but Iguana rolls off Lince’s back! Tilt-o-whirl arm-drag! The fans cheer, Iguana smiles and points to Aerostar. Iguana instead goes to his stuffed animal, La Yesca! Iguana puppets Yesca, Lince takes a swing, but Yesca “bites” Lince’s hand! Iguana ARABIAN PRESS ARM-DRAGS! Then hurdles, rolls back, and he has Yesca in his mouth to hit another ARABIAN PRESS ARM-DRAG!

Aero drop toeholds Lee onto the ropes, runs and FLIPS up and over! The fans fire up as Aero then ROCKS Lee, but Lee bumps and ROCKS Aero back! Lee goes up, Aero GAMANGIRIS first! Aero goes up, up, and TORNILLO! Cover, TWO! Lee stays in this and the fans fire up again! Aero runs up, Lee pops him up to SUPERKICK! Aero staggers around, Lee builds speed, but Aero DUMPS Lee out! Chuey is now with the captain of Team American Made, and he brings up the unsavory things Gable has said about luchadores and Mexico. Now he goes into the lion’s den here in LA, going against THE AAA Mega Champion, El Hijo Del Vikingo. How is Gable feeling about his chances? gable says, “Lion’s den? Are you kidding? This is like a second home to me!” Gable admits the luchadores might not like him, but surely the people still love him! They’ve seen the journey he went on to conquer the “dark arts” of lucha. They have embraced him and that he embodies the spirit of lucha libre! Not only Gable, but also the greatst luchador ever, El Grande Americano!

Vero is now with the AAA Mega Champion, and brings up he is defending against Chad Gable. How is he feeling going into tonight’s main event? Vikingo says Gable is good, maybe great, but he disrespects lucha libre and how important it is to the Mexican people. But Vikingo is more than ready to fly so high, and shine in front of his people! Will the Vikingo make sure AAA’s top title stays with AAA?

NXT North American Championship Fatal 4 Way: Ethan Page VS Je’Von Evans VS Rey Fenix VS Laredo Kid!

All Ego is among the few to have held both this title and the top title in NXT in their career, but he is the first Canadian born superstar to do so. And with that, he already declares himself the GREATEST North American wrestler ever! However, three contenders beg to differ. Will Ethan somehow survive the Young OG, the Immortal Firebird and The Amazing One? Or will there be a NEW Best Wrestler in North America?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who lives and dies in LA!

The bell rings and the fans rally up. The four watch each other, and then the challengers realize Ethan’s the common denominator. Ethan runs for it, but Je’Von drags him in! Je’Von whips him at Laredo, Laredo dodges Ethan’s lariat, and Fenix blocks a kick to give a KICK! Je’Von and Fenix DOUBLE ENZIGIRI, then Laredo DROPKICKS Ethan out! The fans fire up, the three contenders go at it now, and Laredo sends Je’Von into Fenix! CHOP for Je’Von, then Laredo kicks off Fenix to arm-drag Je’Von! Laredo then dodges Fenix to springboard and RANA! The fans fire up and Laredo BLASTS Ethan off the apron!

Laredo builds speed and somersaults, but Ethan runs away! The fans boo, but then Je’Von ROCKS Laredo! Fenix LARIATS Laredo up and out, and now Je’Von steps to Fenix. The fans fire up as Fenix and Je’Von stare down. Fenix dares Je’Von to take a shot, so Je’Von winds up, to roll up! TWO, and Fenix runs up to ROCK Je’Von! Je’Von ROCKS Fenix! Fenix CHOPS! The fans fire up with Fenix and he runs up to kick low. Fenix runs and RANAS, but Je’Von handsprings through! The fans fire up and the two talk a bit of smack. But then Ethan SHOVES Fenix into Je’Von! Ethan stomps away on Fenix, stomps away on Je’Von, and soaks up heat. But Laredo shoves Ethan, ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! Fenix is up, he BOOTS Laredo then goes up to FLYING RANA! Fenix swings on Ethan, Ethan dodges, and Ethan RANAS?! Ethan grins and takes a mocking bow. But Je’Von comes back to BOUNCY~ RANA! Then DROPKICK! Ethan tumbles out, the fans fire up, and Je’Von aims. But Fenix CHOPS first!

Fenix whips, Je’Von reverses, but Fenix goes Tiger Feint and rewind, HEEL KICK! The fans fire up as Je’Von tumbles away! Fenix says #ANIMO and he goes up the corner! The fans fire up but Laredo ROCKS Fenix first! Ethan grabs Laredo, Laredo kicks him away, and then Laredo goes up to ARIHARA MOONSAULT onto Ethan and Je’Von! The fans fire up as Laredo CLUBS Ethan, but Fenix aims now! Fenix builds speed to TORNILLO! The fans are thunderous with Fenix, he puts Ethan in, and Fenix steps in for the TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO! Ethan survives but Fenix knows he’s close.

The fans rally up, Fenix puts Ethan up top, but Je’Von ROUNDHOUSES Fenix! The fans want tables but Je’Von climbs up after Ethan. Je’Von points to a table and the fans fire up! But Laredo GAMANGIRIS Je’Von down! And SHORYUKENS Ethan! Laredo climbs up, brings Ethan up, but Ethan fires body shots! Ethan scoops to SUPER SLAM Laredo onto Je’Von! And then Ethan DIVING BODY PRESS! Cover, TWO! Ethan RIPCORD POWERSLAMS! Cover, Fenix DROPKICKS it! The fans fire up with Fenix but Laredo is back! Laredo whips, Fenix goes Spider-Man, but Laredo ducks the kick to SOBAT and UPPERCUT!

Laredo runs corner to corner and he ROCKS Fenix with the forearm! Then a MICHINOKU DRIVER! Fenix is in the drop zone, Laredo goes up, CORKSCREW LIONSAULT! Ethan runs up, Laredo dodges to mule kick and HAYMAKER! Laredo whips and ROCKS Ethan now! But Fenix waistlocks! Laredo switches and shoves, dodges, then ROLLING DDTS!! Cover, Je’Von breaks it! The fans fire up, “This is Awesome!” Je’Von rises first, goes for Laredo, but Laredo shove shim away. Laredo scoops for the BACKBREAKER! Laredo goes up the corner and the fans rally! But Je’Von trips Laredo up!

Je’Von puts Laredo in the Tree of Woe, runs, but has to dodge Ethan first! BOUNCY~ SNAP GERMAN! The fans fire up as Je’Von shakes the ropes! Je’Von builds speed and he FLIES! Down goes Ethan onto the Spanish desk!! The fans go nuts and luckily Spanish commentary is safe. Je’Von goes up, up, and he wants to go RVD with it! COAST 2 COAST!! But Fenix whips Je’Von, only for the RED DOT ENZIGIRI to hit! Then a springboard, FLYING CUTTER!! cover, ETHAN DRAGS JE’VON AWAY!! The fans boo but Ethan saves his reign! Je’Von is pissed, he rains down fists on Ethan, but Ethan SNAPS the ropes into him!

The fans boo as Ethan THROWS Je’Von into Laredo! Ethan flops into the ring, drags Fenix up, and he talks trash on Fenix. But Fenix whips and DROPKICKS! Ethan is stuck on the ropes, Fenix goes up, ADIOS AMIGOS! But Laredo is back! Fenix dodges to ENZIGIRI! Laredo falls, Fenix goes up, and he FLYING ARM-DRAGS into the DOUBLE STOMPS! The fans fire up with Fenix, but Je’Von is back! Fenix slips around, ripcord and ROUNDHOUSE! KICK! KICK! ENZIGIRI!! Je’Von wobbles, Fenix shouts, “VIVA MEXICO!” Fireman’s carry, FIRE THUNDER DRIVER!! Cover, TWO!??! Je’Von survives and then Ethan ROUNDHOUSES Fenix!

Laredo SUPERKICKS Fenix! Ethan kicks at Laredo, Laredo blocks, and Fenix SUPERKICKS Laredo! Fenix somersaults, but into Ethan’s clinch! Je’Von springboards, FLYING LARIAT on Ethan! The fans are thunderous again while all four men are down! Je’Von drags Laredo up, brings him to a corner, and CHOPS! Je’Von puts Laredo up top, climbs up after him, but Laredo fights back. AAA Mega Championship: El Hijo del Vikingo VS Chad Gable!

WWE may lead the little series here 3-1, but this is the one that matters most. It was just last Saturday that Vikingo took this title off of Alberto Del Rio, adding to the stakes of this title. Gable has been on a quest to understand the “dark arts” of lucha libre, has sacrificed to become stronger and stronger, and now not only wants to win his first singles title, but to take over an entire country’s tradition! History will be made, and there will be no imitations or substitutions! Who proves they are truly the best of the best when Worlds Collide?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who will carry the banner of AAA into the future!

The bell rings and the two circle. The fans rally, Vikingo and Gable tie up, and Gable goes for the arm. Gable wrenches, wristlocks, but Vikingo handsprings and cartwheels. Vikingo slips through and wrangles Gable to an armlock. The fans duel, Vikingo claps along with Gable’s hand! Vikingo drags Gable up, Gable rolls, but Vikingo wrenches. Gable HEADBUTTS the grip, but Vikingo holds on. Gable rolls, bridges, handsprings, and then wrenches to headlock. Spin and drop toehold! Gable floats to the armlock, “AH THANK YEW~!” The fans boo but now Gable claps with Vikingo’s hand.

Vikingo fights up as the fans rally, and Vikingo trips Gable. Vikingo rolls Gable, slips through, and has a modified LA GUITARRA! The Rune Lock! Gable swings through, steps over, LA MAGISTROL! TWO, and both men stand. Gable blocks a hip toss, they roll, and Gable hits a fireman’s carry takeover for the cording hold. Vikingo endures, rolls, and he wrangles Gable to a backslide, TWO! Gable ties up the legs, Vikingo slips away, and the fans cheer this standoff. The fans duel as Gable and Vikingo reset. Gable and Vikingo tie up with knuckle locks, then go shoulder to shoulder for a Test of Strength. Gable bends Vikingo back, Vikingo powers up, and the fans rally.

Vikingo and Gable fight for control, Gable SLINGS Vikingo but Viknog lands to trip Gable! Cover, ONE! Cover, ONE! Cover, Gable bridges up! Vikingo hops on, Gable stays up! Gaboe then pops Vikingo up and around into a body scissors! Vikingo fights the chinlock so Gable Gedo Clutches, TWO! Vikingo BODY BLOWS, then knuckle locks. Vikingo traps both arms, then drops into a handing arm scissor! ITALIAN STRETCH! Gable powers out to ANKLE LOCK! Vikingo rolls, Gable is sent away, and the fans cheer the new standoff. The fans rally and the two reset. They tie up, but then Gable throat chops!

The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Gable knocks Vikingo down. Gable ROCKS Vikingo, mocks the horns on the mask, then hits a BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO! Gable goes up a corner, but Vikingo kips up! Gable still leaps, but Vikingo catches him! Vikingo shows his strength as he swings, but Gable slips through to lift! Vikingo slips out, wrenches and whips, but Gable reverses! Vikingo Spider-Mans and Gable POSTS himself! GAMANGIRI! Vikingo goes up, up, and MISSILE DROPKICKS! The fans fire up as Gable hobbles. Vikingo CLUBS him, whips him, but Gable blocks by holding ropes. Only for that to hurt his arm!

Vikingo runs up, Gable dodges, and Gable comes back,. Vikingo KICKS, goes Spider-Man again, but he’s stuck a bit. Gable is confused, Vikingo BOOTS him again, and then he runs up. Gable whips Vikingo, Vikingo tilt-o-whirls to RANA! The fans fire up and Vikingo builds speed! DOUBLE KENES through the ropes! Both men go to the outside, but Vikingo isn’t even bothered! The fans fire up as Vikingo goes back up top! Vikingo aims, tightrope walks, and he SUPER 630 CANNONBALLS!! The fans are thunderous for Vikingo and he high-fives the front row. Vikingo then grabs Gable, puts him in the ring, and covers, TWO!

Gable survives but he scrambles away. Vikingo WRECKS Gable with a dropkick! Vikingo then aims from the apron, and he SHOOTING STARS into knees! Gable saves himself and then THROWS Vikingo into steel steps! Gable huffs ‘n’ puffs, shouts “LUCHA LIBRE SUCKS!” The fans boo and say Gable sucks! Gable SMACKS Vikingo off the steps, then he clears the apron skirt away. Gable says they don’t do this in lucha libre! He brings out a TABLE! The fans cheer, Gable tells them shut up, he’s not doing it for them! The ref reprimands but Gable sets the table up. Gable knees Vikingo low and waistlocks.

Vikingo fights, switches, and has the gut wrench! The fans fire up but Gable slips free of the lawn dart! Vikingo SUPERKICKS, but Gable LARIATS! Both men are down on the outside and the fans rally up. Gable puts Vikingo in, covers, TWO! Gable soaks up heat, and he rains down fists! Gable huffs ‘n’ puffs, paces around, and he drags Vikingo up. The fans tell Gable off as he whips Vikingo to a corner. Gable runs corner to corner, jumps, and MONKEY FLIPS! Vikingo tumbles, Gable covers, TWO! Gable seethes but he drags Vikingo back up. Gable clamps on with a COBRA TWIST! Gable shakes the bad arm out and the fans duel again.

Vikingo fights through, and ROLLING KICKS! Gable runs up to CROSS CHOP! Gable drags Vikingo up to GERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO!! Vikingo survives and Gable insists that was tres! Gable huffs ‘n’ puffs again as he drags Vikingo back up. Gable suplexes and he hangs Vikingo out to dry! Gable then goes to the corner and runs up, for a BOOT! Vikingo flops down, Gable covers, TWO! The fans rally but Gable drags Vikingo up. Gable puts Vikingo in a corner, ROCKS him, then CHOPS him! Gable whips corner to corner, runs in, but Vikingo pops Gable up top! And he CHOPS! Gable stings and the fans fire up!

But then Gable grabs Vikingo in an  HANGING ARMBAR! The ref counts, Gable lets go at 4, then he goes back up! DIVING- CODE BREAKER!! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Both men rise, and the CHOPS and forearms fly! Gable KNEES low, TOSSES Vikingo, but Vikingo scarecrow rebounds to JUMPING FOREARM! The fans rally as Vikingo hurries to get Gable up. Vikingo puts Gable in the ropes, ENZIGIRIS, then goes to a corner! Vikingo climbs, aims, and GUILLOTINE DOUBLE STOMPS!! Cover, TWO!!! Gable survives and the fans fire up! Vikingo checks his face, that was a rough landing even for him.

Gable goes to a corner, Vikingo runs in, but Gable pops Vikingo to the apron. Vikingo ROUNDHOUSES first! Vikingo goes up the ropes, IN AND OUT PHOENIX SPLASH!! Cover, TWO!!! Gable survives and Vikingo is shocked, but “This is Awesome!” Vikingo whips Gable, Gable reverses, but Vikingo handsprings! But into a Gory Especial!? Gable pops Vikingo up more for a NIAGARA DRIVER!! Cover, TWO!! Gable seethes as Vikingo survives, but he pushes Vikingo into the drop zone. Gable goes up, shouts, “VIVA LA USA!” Gable is up top, MOONSAULT! Gable lands out as Vikingo moves! Vikingo BOOTS Gable, goes up, but Gable SHORYUKENS!

Gable climbs to get Vikingo, the fans chant for “LUCHA LIBRE!” Gable reels Vikingo in for a SUPER DUPER LIGER BOMB!!! The fans go nuts, Gable crawls to a cover, TWO?!?!? Vikingo survives and Gable says this can’t be! Gable snarls, runs up, but Vikingo ELBOWS him! And then ELBOWS him again! Vikingo then pops Gable up to sit him on the top rope! DROPKICK! Gable flops to the apron, Vikingo hurries back up! Gable stands, Vikingo uses the post to fly, APRON DESTROYER!!!! The fans are losing their minds all over again, and even Corey Graves and Konnan can’t believe what they just saw! Is Gable even still in hihs?!

Vikingo shoves Gable in and covers, TWO!?!?! Gable survives something insane, but Vikingo decides to use that table! Vikingo puts Gable on the wood, goes up the corner, and the fans go nuts already, only for Gable to SHOVE Vikingo down! Vikingo tumbles to apron then floor, and Gable SMACKS him off the steps! Gable puts Vikingo on the table, HAMMERS away, then Gable climbs the corner!! The fans go nuts for the SUPER DUPER MOONSAULT down through the table!!!! The fans are shocked while both men are down in the wreckage! The ref starts a ring count, but it might as well be a standing count at this point!

The count passes 5 of 10, both men stir, and they rise at 7! We hit 8! Then 9! Both men spring in at 9.99!! The fans are thunderous again as these two push past their limits! They go forehead to forehead, then they SLAP back and forth! The SLAP fight gets fast ‘n’ furious! Then it turns into forearms! Vikingo ROCKS Gable, but Gable ducks the Dreamcast kick! ANKLE LOCK!!! Vikingo reaches out, but the fans tell him “SI SE PUEDES!!” Vikingo fights up, Gable waistlocks, GERMAN SUPELX! Vikingo lands out?!? DREAMCAST KICK!! Vikingo hobbles, he runs up, but Gable dodges. Vikingo goes up, the leg slows him down!

Vikingo still leaps for the POISON-RANA!!! Vikingo hobbles again, runs corner to corner, METEORA! Vikingo pushes Gable into the drop zone, goes up again, VIKINGO 630!!! Cover, VIKINGO WINS!!!!

Gable gave Vikingo the fight of his life, but Vikingo still won the war! And with him, AAA wins by holding onto their top prize! The other stars of AAA go to the ring to celebrate with Vikingo, will AAA be the biggest and the best it has ever been from here on out?

My Thoughts:

A great Worlds Collide with awesome matches and some great video packages to help WWE fans understand the history of AAA, but the results were all about how I expected. The one surprise might’ve been Legado winning, I really thought Wagner’s trio would win. But at the same time, Legado has to stick together long enough to compete for the AAA Trios Championships, so perhaps that is where they fall apart. Great promo from Rey, and very good segue into the opening trios match. Great win for AAA in that, and I like that we got interaction between Octagon and Dominik. Adding another match to MITB is wild, and I can’t wait to see how that goes.

Vaquer & Vice VS Dalys & Chika was great, and it is cool for Vaquer to win over her mentor. I already doubted her chances of winning at MITB given the SmackDown go-home math and how strong Naomi looks as a Heel right now, so at least Vaquer got this win tonight. The NXT North American Championship was wild, all four guys showing off their stuff, and Je’Von looked so close to winning. But with Sean Legacy waiting, Ethan of course won to keep things Heel VS Face on NXT this Tuesday. And then we got an epic main event, an instant classic, Match of the Year level stuff. Maybe El Grande Americano has a bad arm going into MITB to hint at how he’s obviously Gable, and then the arm is an excuse as to why Grande loses.
