The premier ring announcer for this fast growing brand is honored to join Nigel McGuinness at the desk to call the action! But before he can say more…
Finn Balor appears!!
The Prince told the world that he was on his way, and he’s arrived in Coventry! Fans go wild as Balor walks out on stage and down the ramp to the ring. Chants of “Finn! Finn!” echo out as Balor grabs a mic. “I am Finn Balor! And I didn’t come here to boost the ratings. I came here for Walter!” That is, if he has the BALLS to face The Prince! Fans now chant for “WAL~TER!” and he appears! The NXT United Kingdom Champion goes down the ramp, but of course the Ring General brings his solders.

And Prince, please let us give you a proper welcome.” Imperium surrounds the ring but fans rally behind him. Marcel Barthel gets in but Balor stomps him down! Fabian Aichner tries next but he gets a big back elbow! Wolfe is third and he gets the waistlock but Balor fights out to SLINGBLADE! Balor dodges Walter’s chop and leaves Imperium in the ring. Balor aims those guns at the Austrian Anomaly, but will he be able to hit his mark?
NXT UK Media interviews Piper Niven.
Why did she get involved with the I Quit match of Kay Lee Ray VS Toni Storm? “Me and Toni, we’re like sisters.” And being sisters, sometimes they fight, but in the end, what was Piper going to do? Just let KLR cripple Toni? No! Piper couldn’t stop the match, because then Toni would never talk to her again. But she had to talk sense into Toni. As for KLR, she’s a different matter. When Piper was comforting Toni, KLR was laughing. KLR is evil, but Piper vows to do something about her. Will the Scottish Viper become the hero the NXT UK Women’s Division needs?
Tyler Bate speaks.
The Big Strong Boy became the first-ever United Kingdom Champion through the inaugural tournament. “If that’s not earning your position, then I don’t know what is.” From Pete Dunne to Walter to Jordan Devlin and beyond, “When it comes to Tyler Bate, there are only steps forward.” Is this Bate’s message to Joseph Conners and the argument of being TakeOver Worthy?
Pretty Deadly VS Dan Moloney & Dereiss Gordon!
Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley are always looking good, just not in their win-loss record. Can they change that here tonight? Or will things only get ugly in Coventry?
Fans taunt Pretty Deadly as they take off their lacy shirts. This upsets Stoker and Howley, so they throw the shirts at Dan and Dereiss before attacking! Stoker knees Dereiss and throws him out while Howley stomps Dan. Stoker goes over to stomp Dan then drag him up to the Pretty corner. He throws big European Uppercuts and clotheslines Dan against the ropes. Tag to Howley and Pretty Deadly double whips Dan to double elbow him down! Cover, ONE, but Howley keeps on Dan with clubbing forearms. Howley throws EuroUppers but Dan blocks the whip. Howley knees and punches Dan, but Dan reverses the whip. Stoker and Howley are finally feeling pretty good after a match because they got a win! Will these fashion-forward superstars be heading for a golden opportunity in Dublin?
Alexander Wolfe goes to NXT UK General Manager and Assistant GM backstage.
He demands Johnny Saint and Sid Scala give him a match with Finn Balor tonight! Well, sure! But then NXT Cruiserweight Champion Jordan Devlin walks over. He congratulates Saint on having his Irish Ace back, and tells Sid to stop blowing up the phone. The Devlin Championship Tour finally returns home. That’s good, because in two weeks, Devlin will have his first defense of that title on NXT UK. Against who? A familiar foe in Travis Banks. Devlin laughs it off and says he’ll be ready. Will the Kiwi Buzzsaw be able to cash in on this golden opportunity?
NXT UK Media spots an encounter at the WWE UK PC.
South Wales Subculture talks with Dave Mastiff about his match with Walter, but Gallus comes over. “Oh there he is!” Joe Coffey asks the Bomber if he remembers that time the Iron King won the Last Man Standing match. Mastiff asks Coffey if he remembers getting his ribs hit for six. For Americans, that’s a cricket score reference. And SWSC points out that was the same night in Cardiff that Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster won the NXT UK Tag Team Championships. Mark Coffey counters with how they took those titles from them right after. But if these six want to throw down, they can do it right now. No, better yet, next week. The NXT UK fans deserve to see Gallus topple these three again. Tensions run high but they leave it at this. Mastiff is ready for him and SWSC to put Gallus Boys on bottom this time.
El Ligero VS Noam Dar!
The Luchador of Leeds is fed up with people running their mouths about him when he’s nowhere to be found. He confronts the Scottish Supernova in the ring, but will he show Mr. 11 the light? Or just get another ear full of Dar’s ego?
The bell rings and Ligero rushes at Dar but Dar stays away. They circle and Dar grins as he toys with Ligero. Mr. Supernova 11 gets the 1-2-3 without very little trash talk needed this time. Will Dar find himself on course for an NXT Cruiserweight title match?
Backstage interview with Travis Banks.
Josiah Williams is in NXT UK and is excited to talk with the Kiwi Buzzsaw ahead of his NXT Cruiserweight Championship match. How does he feel? How good would it be to beat Devlin for that title? Banks and Devlin have history, and Banks even threw himself off a balcony to take Devlin down. There is one thing that Devlin needs to remember: Devlin didn’t pin Banks’ shoulders at Worlds Collide to win that title. So Banks makes a promise that when that match happens, he will be the first New Zealander champion in NXT history.
Amale VS Dani Luna!
With Toni Storm no longer able to challenge for the title until Kay Lee Ray loses it, there is a power vacuum that must be filled! Which of these rising stars makes a big impression on NXT UK management as we head for Dublin?

The Scary Queen of Scots throws Luna out, then stomps Amale down before throwing her out! The NXT UK Women’s Champion grabs a mic to say, “Now that I have successfully gotten rid of Toni Storm, I am here to let every girl in NXT UK know that it doesn’t matter if you were here from the beginning, or you just got your foot in the door. This division belongs to me!” But then Luna hits back!! Luna clubs away but KLR mule kicks then SUPERKICKS! Gory Especial, KILLER BOMB! Fans boo but KLR makes sure Luna understands this. NXT UK belongs to Kay Lee Ray!!
Aoife Valkyrie speaks.
“Every feather I wear represents a battle to become who I am.” She is the chooser of the slain. NXT UK will witness the rise of the Valkyrie.
Alexander Wolfe VS Finn Balor!
Imperium was the welcome wagon to start the night, but the German Hatchet Man wants to give The Prince a fight as his welcoming gift. Will Wolfe show Balor a sample of the absolute power that rules over NXT UK? Or will Balor show everyone the rrrreeeality of his arrival?
The bell rings and Balor circles with Wolfe. They tie up, Balor gets around to forearm Wolfe in the back then drag him down. Balor wrenches the arm to a hammerlock then tweaks it. Balor sputters but Wolfe looms over him. Wolfe brings Balor up to bump him off buckles. Fans rally even as Wolfe rams into Balor, then hauls him up for a standing bearhug. Dragon sleeper, elbow drop DDT! Balor aims from a corner again, SHOTGUN DROPKICK! Wolfe bounces off buckles and Balor heads up top! COUP DE GRACE!! But Balor won’t end it there, he gives Wolfe 1916! Cover, Balor wins!
Winner: Finn Balor, by pinfall
Wolfe went at Balor, but he missed and got taken down instead! Will Balor take his shot at Walter when NXT UK takes over Dublin?
My Thoughts:
A really good episode for NXT UK, and it works to build some momentum for TakeOver: Dublin. I like that we got a match for Balor immediately, and he had a pretty good match with Wolfe. Walter VS Balor is definitely being set up for Dublin, but I’m expecting Imperium to actually beat him down next week or the week after that. Unless Balor gets allies in this fight, it just makes sense that the 4v1 eventually catches up to him. I’m surprised there wasn’t even a moment of Devlin being annoyed by Balor showing up, but he’s too busy being high on himself.
Devlin VS Banks in a couple weeks will be a great match, but I’m thinking Devlin wins to keep his reign strong. Dublin should be the big thing for Devlin, win or lose. Dar VS Ligero was good but I was a bit surprised Dar won. Maybe this feud continues for a few more weeks to work on a Dublin challenger for Devlin. But I knew a Heel was busting up Luna VS Amale. Both women are still solidly lower midcard, so it just seemed perfect for KLR to attack. Kudos to Luna for standing up, and Piper is also poised for a match, so I’m thinking KLR beats Luna to try and make a point that being stronger doesn’t beat her, but then Piper is the one too strong for even her.
Pretty Deadly gets a good match and good win out of Dereiss and Dan, but I don’t see them getting the NXT UK Tag titles or a match. The Six Man of Gallus VS Mastiff & SWSC will be really good, and could be indicative of where the tag titles are going for Dublin. Still hoping for something huge like in Cardiff or Blackpool.
My Score: 8.3/10

MVP JAMS the one guy with his walking stick, then Shelton Benjamin & Bobby Lashley beat down the rest! One guy gets dumped into a laundry basket! The AEW World Tag Team Champions pick up their title belts, and MVP says that first guy broke his cane. But hey, let’s address the elephant in the room. Lashley smirks and Shelton says hey, he was skeptical about MJF, too. But this isn’t about them trusting MJF. This is about them trusting MVP.
Shelton says c’mon, Lashley, he has to admit MJF is also funny, and that he liked that car. Lashley says he can buy his own cars. MVP says of course, of course. But this is what this is about: MJF can help The Hurt Syndicate. Has MVP ever steered them wrong before? And… If MJF screws them, then they will hurt him like he’s never been hurt before. Alright? They fist bump, and MVP says alright, time to get some work done. Will this finally be the night the All Mighty accepts the Scumbag?

Backstage interview with Mercedes Mone.
Renee Paquette has a sit-down interview with The CEO and thanks her for taking this time. Mone thanks Renee for having her. Renee says in preparing for this, she thought back to the first time they did this in AEW. Something Renee kept coming back to is how Mone says she is a global superstar on a global mission. Yes, and one year later, she is a global champion! NJPW Strong Women’s Champion, Rev-Pro Undisputed British Women’s Champion, and of course, the GREATEST AEW TBS Champion of all time. Renee says let’s talk the Owen Hart Tournament. The finals are set for Double or Nothing: Mone VS Hayter. The winner goes to All In: Texas!
Mone says she could go on and on about honoring the legacy of Owen Hart and the Hart Family. The Harts have a special place in Mone’s heart, but let’s be real. This isn’t about them, this is about Mone! Just over a year ago, Mone won her first AEW title at Double or Nothing, so what makes you think this year will be any different? Renee says okay, let’s talk Jamie Hayter. A former AEW Women’s World Champion, 11-2 on the year, and even that aside, just look at the tale of the tape. Physically, Hayter is bigger and stronger. Is Mone underestimating Hayter? No, of course not. But Mone has been in AEW for over a year, and what is she? UNDEFEATED!
So if we’re talking records, let’s talk about that. Renee says yes, true, 25-0 in singles competition, impressive indeed. Yes, it is! Mone has beaten the very best here in AEW, and even all over the world. Mone IS the best! Mone IS the greatest! She is #FourBeltsMone, and the world runs on Mone Time! Because every time Mone steps into the ring, she changes the game! And she has to give props where it is due, Hayter is really, really good. Tough, scrappy, and reminds Mone a bit of herself. Except for the terrible Scooby Doo style! Hayter wants to be a champion, but a champion can’t look like a friggin’ cartoon.
Renee says Double or Nothing is not one to miss. She wishes Mone luck and Mone just smiles. Will The CEO add the Queen of Harts belt to her collection? Or will she learn that no matter how Jamie looks, Hayter Hits Hard?
Backstage interview with The Patriarchy.
AEW returns as Renee is now with Christian Cage, Kip Sabian, Mother Shayna & the ROH World Television Champion, Nick Wayne. Renee says Nick is headed to Japan next week to enter the Best of the Super Juniors. What does it mean to him to be part of that tournament representing AEW in NJPW? Christian speaks up to say as The Patriarch and leader of this family, he prefers all questions being directed to… Jay Lethal steps in? What can Christian do for him? Lethal says actually, there’s nothing Christian can do. Because he is here to talk to the champ. Lethal knows it is no secret that many people here believe Nick is incredible in the ring, because he is.
But Nick is also young and has a lot to learn. In fact, he has a lot to prove. So how about Nick proves something tonight? The longest reigning ROH World TV Champion, Jay Lethal, and the youngest ROH World TV Champion, Nick Wayne, 1v1! Nick says he doesn’t know. He isn’t really warmed up or prepared. He was hoping to focus on BOSJ. Christian says, “He accepts!” Lethal says, “See you out there, champ.” Lethal heads out, and Christian says if Nick wants to be a champion, then he needs to get his head in the game. The Patriarchy leaves with Captain Charisma, will Nick have no choice but to prove something to Lethal and “Father Christian?”

Cut, print, that’s a wrap! Toni is an undefeated 10-0 in eliminator matches, but wait! The CEO is make her way out here. Mone shows off her four belts, and then has a mic to say, “Norfooooolk~! Shut the Hell up and say hello to your C E O!” The fans boo instead. But Mone tells, “Toni, darling, good to see you. After I beat Jamie Hayter at Double or Nothing and win the Owen Cup, I’m coming for what I deserve: The AEW Women’s World Championship, darling~!” But wait! Speaking of the Hayter and she appears! Hayter tells Mone to say that to her face! Mone takes a swing instead! But Hayter blocks that, and DECKS Mone!
Hayter hauls Mone up, but Mone dodges the Hayterade! Mone runs away and Toni is rather surprised. Mone left her belts behind, but will she still grab the Cup? Or will we finally get a sequel to Storm VS Hayter at All In: Texas?
The Don Callis Family speaks.
Don Callis himself asks, “You know what I like? I like writing history. I like making history. And last week on Dynamite, Takeshita & the Canadian Assassin, Josh Alexander, they made history! They had one of the greatest tag team matches I’ve ever seen, and they put down Will Ospreay and the great Brody King. I loved it. I loved it so much, I wanna make history again this week with The Family. And this week, we’re going to, because Kyle Fletcher is going to dismantle The Hangman. And then, Kyle, it’s on to Double or Nothing for the Finals of The Owen, where you will finally put to rest the legend of Will Ospreay. And I can’t wait! Go get ’em tonight, kid.”
Kyle Fletcher says, “After I beat Hangman Adam Page tonight, after I beat Will Ospreay at Double or Nothing, I go on to All In, I TAKE the AEW World Championship. The Don Callis Family takes its place at the top of the mountain of AEW. You will have NO choice but to say… my… full… name.” Callis says he’ll do it. “Ladies and gentlemen… The Protostar, Kyle FLETCHER!!” Callis is all fired up while Fletcher is locked in. Will the Aussie Arrow shoot down the Cowboy to then aim at the Aerial Assassin? Or will one Buckshot be all it takes to go Double or Nothing?
The Hurt Syndicate heads to the ring.
The fans sing “We Hurt~ People!” and at least they won’t get beat up for it as MVP, Lashley & Shelton go to the ring. MVP has the mic to say, “Attention AEW viewing audience. This is an official announcement from the Hurt Syndicate. Now, as you know, we’ve been discussing adding a fourth member to our ranks. And according to our corporate bylaws, in order to do so, that prospect must receive a unanimous three thumbs up. Now, I had a conversation with the Standard of Excellence, and of course The All Mighty, and we’re gonna try this one more time. So please join me in inviting MJF to join us in the ring.”
Norfolk cheers as Maxwell Jacob Friedman makes his entrance. MJF already has a mic of his own, and he has them cut his music. The fans cheer MJF on and MVP says this is kinda to his point. MJF tells the fans, give it up for Shelton! Look how great he looks! Like c’mon! Standard of Excellence! Montel, what can MJF say that he hasn’t already said? A living legend, and one of MJF’s oldest friends. The fans chant for MVP, and then MJF looks to “Bob.” Lashley is annoyed that the fans chant for “BOB! BOB! BOB!” MJF asks if Lashley had a good car ride here. MVP says let’s just get to the vote already.
We all know MVP’s position, and remember the discussion. MVP says thumbs up. Shelton again says thumbs up. Lashley… Well, he thinks about it, looks to the others, and sticks out his hand. The fans cheer and MJF waits patiently as Lashley still thinks on it. Eventually, he says thumbs… DOWN!! MJF frowns and the fans boo, but Lashley just doesn’t wanna give in. MJF says, “Y’know what, Bob? I think I’m about sick of your s*it!” WHOA~! MJF asks what is it Lashley wants. MJF has given him women, helped him win a match, gave him money and a car. What intrigues Lashley? Maybe some Rogaine, “you big bald SOB!”
The fans fire up hearing that, and now MVP steps back. Lashley grabs MJF by the head and puts him in a corner! MJF shouts for MVP but Lashley reminds MJF that they hurt people! If MJF wants to impress Lashley, then go hurt someone. MJF says okay, okay, he’s sorry! Lashley’s made his point, MJF will do that! MVP has Lashley stand down and MJF can breathe again. MVP has Lashley & Shelton leave MJF behind, and can only tell MJF that he tried. MJF has to prove what he’s capable of, who will he hurt as part of his initiation?

Hangman ROCKS Kyle again and again!
Kyle ends up in a corner and Hangman HAMMERS away! The ref backs him up, and then Kyle SUPERKICKS Hangman! Hangman staggers to the opposite corner and Kyle smirks. Kyle storms over to Hangman, hoists him to the top rope, then climbs up to join him. Hangman fires body shots but Kyle still brings Hangman to the very top! SUPER- NO, Hangman slips free, and he SHOVES Kyle onto the crossbar! Kyle is stuck up there, so Hangman climbs up after him. Now Hangman brings Kyle to the very top, for a SUPER DUPER PLEX!! Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall (advances to Double or Nothing)
Virginia is for lovers, but it’s also for fighters! Norfolk cheers as their Cowboy rides on to the finals, but will this be Hangman’s year? Or will he fail to win “the big one” as he has before?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite, and good moves towards not just Double or Nothing but also Beach Break. Well, to be fair, a lot more matches will surely be announced next week, it’s still just the world title match for now. But after The Opps of course squashed Comoroto, Titus & Hawkins, it makes sense for the Death Riders to ambush them. Shibata suffering that chair spot is surely so the World Trios Championships won’t be defended until closer to Double or Nothing, probably giving Pac time to recover so he can team with Claudio & Yuta again. But a Steel Cage for the world title is great stuff, though that doesn’t necessarily change the odds into Joe’s favor.
Awesome opening 8 Man, and it felt like all these guys were bringing that PWG energy. In the end, The Elite with Ricochet win out because for one, Ricochet needs some wins to stay strong. Two, The Bucks win to get heat and build themselves up, and Okada couldn’t take the pin because we’re still on some long route to Okada VS Omega. We’ve got a month, so I’m sure we’ll see those two interact more and perhaps have Omega issue the challenge first. I don’t know if title unification really needs to happen, but one way or another, we’re going to get another instant classic from these two.
Very good promo from Mercedes Mone to play up just how stuck up her Heel persona is. Great match from Toni VS Miyu, and I do appreciate Toni is being a fighting champion right now. I hope that’s not a sign that she’s gonna lose to Mone at All In… Hayter had a great response to Mone’s promo with her physicality, and Toni enjoying Hayter’s music was great stuff. I still hope Athena comes back around past Double or Nothing to build something for All In, and part of me still hopes it is Athena VS Mone, the ROH Women’s and AEW TBS titles on the line. At this point, Mone is on the level of someone who can stop Athena and vice-versa, that’ll be a great match.
Very good promo from The Patriarchy with Lethal, and great match of Nick VS Lethal. Great win for Lethal to build some momentum going into BOSJ, and I can’t wait to see how Nick does in that round robin. Great stuff with Hurt Syndicate and MJF, and of course MJF can’t help but get mad when Lashley rejects him again. Lashley telling MJF to go hurt somebody, MJF will definitely try that. It might even happen as soon as Collision on Saturday, perhaps costing some random Face a good win. That can also be a good opportunity for whoever that is, as they can have a match with MJF and maybe even a story with the Hurt Syndicate.
And very good stuff going into the main event. Good promo from The Don Callis Family, and awesome main event match of Kyle VS Hangman. Given last week’s go-home math, it makes sense Hangman would win here. Plus, MJF saying Hangman would choke, this gives Hangman that chance to prove MJF wrong. Ospreay VS Hangman is also a fresh match-up for an awesome Owen Hart Cup Finals. It still feels like Ospreay is going on to All In given he helped kick off this year’s Owen Hart Cup build, and Ospreay will finally get in on the Death Riders story like he and Darby Allin talked about months ago.
My Score: 8.8/10

Sit-down interview with Kali Armstrong.
Chuey Martinez welcomes the Ironwoman of Inglewood and asks how she’s doing. She’s good. He congratulates her on the big win in that Fatal 4 Way, and asks if she called her shot. She says she did. Chuey is hearing there’s a championship on the way, perhaps Kali will get at it because of this. Kali says no doubt, because that is why they’re here in Evolve! Championships! Bragging rights! “I don’t want nobody to be able to talk to me about nothing once I get that title. And best believe, it’s coming home with Kali Armstrong.” When she started hearing the rumors, she moved all her trophies aside. Those were the past, this is the present, and that championship she’s about to win is the future!
Chuey asks what this Evolve Chapter in her career looks like for her and the WWE. Kali says the name “Evolve” is perfect, because that is what she’ll do. And it is getting kinda scary even for her, because the more matches she has, the more opportunities she has, these girls better look out. Then what would it mean to be THE first WWE Evolve Women’s Champion? Kali says it’s great to be the first, but she also wants to be the best. She wants to win the title to set the example. She wants to show that it doesn’t matter where you’re from. She grew up on the streets of Inglewood, now she’s here in Orlando, holding the Evolve title. That shows promise, purpose, motivation, and possibility.
Chuey says the people watching this, the kids watching Evolve, they might be in similar situations as to what Chuey and Kali grew up in. What’s her advice to them? Her advice is to dream big, dream crazy, have someone tell you it doesn’t make sense, then say, “Good,” and go do it. Anything is possible, she is proof of that. So you better hope someone else puts out this fire. Because once it gets going, she’ll burn it down. Chuey thanks Kali for her time. Will it be Kali’s time all the time?
Haze Jameson is in the VIP Lounge!
And as the factoid says, “She’s been fighting for people’s right to party since 2012.” Will she enjoy watching tonight’s massive main event tag match?
Keanu Carver & Harlem Lewis VS Swipe Right w/ The Vanity Project!
These two teams couldn’t be further opposites. Two giants, two alpha males, who butt heads over who is THE alpha around here, are taking on two men who are best bros and an established tag team. But they all want the same thing and that is to win! Will Keanu & Harlem put their differences aside to break these pretty boys? Or will the Vanity Project look good from start to finish?
The big fight introductions are give, and the teams sort out. The fans taunt “SWIPE LEFT! SWIPE LEFT!” as Brad starts against Harlem. Brad and Harlem tie up, and Harlem SHOVES Brad! Harlem talks smack to Keanu, but then Keanu tags in. Ricky also tags in, they tie up, and Keanu SLAMS Ricky down! Keanu pushes Ricky, then he taunts Harlem. So now Harlem tags himself in. Brad is back, he kicks and CLUBS away on Harlem! Brad headlocks, Harlem powers out and he CLOBBERS Brad! The fans fire up but Harlem talks more trash to Keanu. The fans fire up and Keanu says that’s how you do it! Keanu tags Harlem in, and Harlem scoops Brad for a SLAM! Harlem and Keanu talk some smack, but now Keanu tags himself in. They were on the same page for a second there, but Keanu still wants to one-up Harlem. Keanu ELBOWS Brad in a corner, then throws a BODY SHOT! Keanu talks trash but Harlem CHOP tags in! The fans fire up but the ref reprimands the two big men. Brad hurries to tag Ricky! But then Keanu & Harlem CLOBBER Swipe Right! Keanu TOSSES Brad, goes out after him, and Harlem fireman’s carries Ricky. Zayda & Jackson freak out while Harlem and Keanu stare down!
Keanu APRON POWERSLAMS Brad while Harlem THROWS Ricky across the ring! The fans fire up, “This is Awesome!” while Swipe Right writhes. Harlem storms up on Ricky, Brad holds Ricky’s hand, so Harlem just drags them both in! The ref reprimands Brad, Harlem storms up and LARIATS Brad up and out! Harlem goes after Ricky in the corner, but Ricky BOOTS him away! Harlem shakes that off, runs back in, but Ricky goes up and over! Harlem POSTS himself! Ricky distracts the ref, Brad KNEES Harlem down! Ricky runs up to GAMANGIRI! Snapmare and cover, ONE!! Harlem is tougher than that!
Ricky rains down fists on Harlem, then he tags Brad. Swipe Right mugs Harlem, and Brad rains down fists! The fans boo but Brad tags Ricky. Swipe Right mugs Harlem more but the fans taunt “SWIPE LEFT!” Swipe Right stomps Harlem, then Ricky CLUBS Harlem down! Ricky puts Harlem in the corner, tags Brad, and they mug Harlem more. They reel Harlem in, and Brad shouts, “It’s time…! To SWIPE!” The fans say “LEFT!” And then Harlem DOUBLE SUPLEXES Brad & Ricky! The fans fire up while The Vanity Project panics! Harlem crawls, Keanu reaches out, hot tag to Keanu! Keanu runs and DOUBLE LARIATS!
Keanu scoops Brad for a BIG BACKBREAKER! Keanu TOSSES Brad away, the fans fire up, and Keanu runs up to ELBOW Brad in the corner! Keanu whips corner to corner, Brad hits buckles hard, then staggers into a POP-UP and FALL AWAY SLAM! Keanu didn’t even need to fall to throw Brad that hard! Ricky swipes at Keanu from the outside, but Keanu just grabs Ricky by the neck! DRAPING HAYMAKER!! Ricky flounders, Keanu is all fired up, and he waits on Swipe Right. Keanu runs and DOUBLE POUNCES!! The fans are thunderous, but then Harlem tags in! Harlem hauls Brad up, so Keanu drags Ricky around.
Keanu scoops, Harlem suplexes, BOOM SLANG and SPINNING POWERSLAM!! Cover(s), Keanu & Harlem win!
Winners: Keanu Carver & Harlem Lewis, by pinfall
These alpha males dominated, just as Stevie Turner knew would happen. But now that the tag match is over, they’re back to being rivals. The ref calls for reinforcements to keep these two from throwing hands with each other! And speaking of Stevie, she’s watching. She loved seeing that, that was impressive. She is gonna love next week’s Town Hall Announcement. But then Gallus steps in, and they agree, that was impressive. But uh, Gallus gets next, right? Oh, they want Swipe Right? No, no, they want a fight. They want Keanu & Harlem! Stevie says okay… Will the Coffey Brothers make sure Evolve stays Gallus’ kingdom? Or do the rivals have one more tag win in them?
My Thoughts:
A great Evolve here, even with pulling the “double main event.” Good promo from Kylie to open, though I bet some apathetic wrestling fan(s) will think, “Ugh, why’re Kylie and Wendy fighting over a teddy bear? This is as dumb as Punk and McIntyre with the bracelet or Swerve and Ricochet with the coat!” Kylie did such a great job bringing out the emotion of the moment on top of just a great match. I am a little surprised she lost, but using the emotional state to cost her was good stuff. They still did this under normal rules, so I wonder if Kylie VS Wendy Round 3 will be No Disqualifications just so Kylie can take out her anger on Wendy.
Very good tag match from Tyson & Tyriek against debuting Rourke & Ramsay. Rourke and Ramsay have pretty complete presentation, it’ll be interesting to see where each of them goes from here. Very good interview promo from Kali, and while her attitude had been Heel before, this promo helped bring out her more Face side, being a role model to young people and those who doubt themselves before of whatever reason or another. Stevie’s town hall promo will definitely be about the title tournaments and the brackets, and Kali will definitely be the number one seed.
And then we of course got a lot of Vanity Project tonight. Very good opening match from Zayda VS Layla, but of course Zayda got her win to stay strong. She might get in the tournament just on virtue of being one of the first WWE ID recruits. And then great tag match main event, really good use of Keanu and Harlem one-upping each other. And it makes sense they would win here, they’re both top choices for the men’s tournament. Gallus wanting their shot at Keanu and Harlem is an interesting move, and I feel like that is where Keanu & Harlem will lose. They’re both undefeated, and the tournament is coming, so maybe their first loss is in a tag match to get the first loss out of the way.
My Score: 8.7/10
