After his performance against Cody Rhodes on AEW Dynamite, Ricky Starks is the newest member of the AEW roster.

Former NWA TV champ Ricky Starks answers Cody’s TNT challenge. 

Well, as I have been watching these matches, this will be my first one reviewing. Just about a month, Starks had revealed he would be departing from NWA to take on Cody Rhodes’ opened a challenge for TNT. As an early signee with NWA, Ricky Starks had made his first debut with NWA at their 70th Anniversary Show. He became a regular star and won the reactivated NWA World Television Championship in January, but lost the title in March. 

With his title lost, Starks answered to Rhodes challenge in order to defend his TNT Championship and make an announcement. Unfortunately for Starks, this did not look like a new signing, but only was referred as a free agent. Losing his own title and taking on Rhodes would mean taking back a lost victory. 

This introduction of a free agent, which is allowed in AEW, but it should mean something, right? Yes, after a pinfall on Stark, Rhodes retain his title, but after the show the AEW offered to sign Stark. Well, he did not win the match, but was able to perceive the attention of the audience and introduce himself as a new addition.
