Darby Allin w/ Sting VS Cezar Bononi w/ The Pretty Picture!
Daily’s Place is red hot as the Relentless One, accompanied by The Icon, steps up to the Beautiful Brazilian V8! But with bad ribs and an obvious height disadvantage, is Darby being even more reckless than usual this close to a Double or Nothing grudge match?
The bell rings, Darby and Bononi tie up, and Bononi puts Darby in a corner. The ref counts, Bononi grinds his forearms in but lets off, and Darby gets around to CHOP and CHOP! Bononi is down in a drop zone, and Darby goes up top! COFFIN DROP!! Cover, Darby wins!
Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall
The fans are fired up for the first big win on this big Friday Night Dynamite! Darby gets a mic as Sting joins him in the ring, and Darby says, “Ethan and Scorpio! I’m not gonna wait to get jumped from behind! Come out right now, and let’s do this tonight!” Ethan and Scorpio know he’d like that, and are all smiles as they appear on stage. But Darby expects them to just come down to the ring, in their “fancies,” and fight for free? Grow up, Darby. When they beat him and Sting on Sunday’s big stage, everyone will see the end of one legend, and the beginning of two more. “We out!” But the PRETTY PICTURE attacks Darby and Sting!
Ethan and Scorpio decide to add on! They stomp Darby, go after Sting’s legs, and use a BULLY CHOKE to grind Darby down! Scorpio has a leg, but here comes the DARK ORDER! They run off Ethan & Scorpio just like they did last time! All Ego and the Face of the Revolution will have no choice but to face Evil Uno & Stu Grayson later tonight, will they get a little bit of comeuppance before Double or Nothing?
Paul Wight heads to the ring!
The all-time great, the co-host and commentator on Dark: Elevation, and a true giant, is going to preside over this equally massive moment! It will be the official Double or Nothing weigh-in for Cody Rhodes and Anthony Ogogo!
AEW returns and Wight says he feels great being out in front of an amazing crowd! For whatever reason, AEW wanted him to officiate this weigh-in. But this will be a serious weigh-in, so let’s bring out Anthony Ogogo! The Gov’nuh, the Olympic Bronze Medalist and “the man with stone hands” is of course accompanied by The Factory. QT Marshall has a mic to address “Tebow Country” and telling them to have some respect for a real athlete in Ogogo! He also pretends the fans are booing Wight and not his group. Ogogo gets in the ring and Wight tells QT no one paid to hear him jaw. And Ogogo, don’t eye Wight like that or it might be your last night.
Wight now gives the introduction for a man he’s known a long time, who has heart and soul. The American DREAM, Cody Rhodes! Cody has trainees from The Nightmare Factory accompanying him, along with Red Velvet, Lee Johnson, the Rhodes family, and Coach Arn Anderson. Needless to say, QT’s posse is outnumbered here. Cody steps into the ring with Velvet, Dustin, Arn and sister, Kristen. Wight keeps the peace, knowing the bad blood brewing here. Save it all for Double or Nothing, guys. Time for the official weights. First, Cody! After taking off shoes and track suit, Cody stands on the scale in just his Calvin Klein boxer briefs.
Wight adjusts the scale, Ogogo grows impatient but Wight gets a measurement. Cody is weighed in at 218! Cody takes a step back, Ogogo strips down and there are fireworks going because it’s Memorial Day Weekend. Fans chant, “USA! USA!” Ogogo is down to his Union Jack boxer-briefs, steps up, and Wight figures out the scale. Ogogo flexes but Wight figures it out. Ogogo is officially at 219! A very even match-up on weight, and that is what will be on the Tale of the Tape for Double or Nothing! But QT wants people to understand what’s going on here. With all due respect to Wight, Ogogo is heavier and already has victory in his hands!
QT is upset that fans are chanting for Cody when he just said Ogogo wins! Ogogo has a cameraman move so he can get on the corner and flex. Fans boo but the Factory soaks up the heat. Cody gets up on a corner to do the same, and fans cheer! QT has Ogogo flex for another segment of the crowd, but they just boo. Dustin wants after QT but The Factory bails out. Ogogo’s clothes are gathered up, and Cody has fans give it up for the weigh-in’s host, Paul “Big G” Wight! See you all at Double or Nothing, enjoy the rest of the show! Will Cody and Ogogo look to steal the show this Sunday?
AEW takes a look at Stadium Stampede II, and what led to it.
Chris Jericho says, “Blood & Guts may seem like the end of The Inner Circle, but in reality, it’s only just the beginning.” Jim Ross says that this is the next chapter. Excalibur notes that last year was the first Stadium Stampede, which the Inner Circle was part of. MJF says the reason he chose this match was because the Inner Circle lost it last year, and that means they’ll lose it again. Tony Schiavone says the battleground is so vast from Daily’s Place to TIAA Stadium, Tully notes there are utensils tools all over the place, there’s no way to really prepare for this. But Jericho says they know what to expect this time, and what to do.
Sammy Guevara says, “What to expect? Expect the unexpected.” JR says The Pinnacle has momentum, but Wight says it is still a toss-up. Experience is name of the game, Ortiz says they won’t lose twice. FTR says this is it, the Inner Circle will lose and disband, there’s no more Inner Circle. MJF says this is going to put the biggest smile on his face. Shawn Spears says some men were born to be buried. Will that be Jericho, Sammy, Santana, Ortiz and Jake Hager?
AEW finds Will Hobbs attacking Christian Cage backstage!
Things with Team Taz and Captain Charisma are only escalating as Christian has to elbow Hobbs away from him! Hobbs throws body shots, bounces Christian off cases, then drags him back up. Christian sends Hobbs into the steel fencing, but Hobbs hits back! Christian dodges and Hobbs hits steel with bare fist! Christian has a table stand and SMASHES it on Hobbs’ ribs! Christian goes for the headshot but referees and security stop him! Hobbs and Christian get loose, and Christian SPEARS Hobbs into crates! Other wrestlers rush in now to stop this brawl, but this is only going to get worse in the Casino Battle Royal!
Hangman Page VS Joey Janela w/ Sonny Kiss!
Speaking of Team Taz, Taz himself is watching this closely as the Anxious Millennial Cowboy is going to be facing The Machine, Brian Cage, at Double or Nothing! And it seems, despite being ditched during Dark, Sonny is still riding with the Bad Boy! Will Janela finally redeem himself for the loss in the brutal match he and Hangman had back at All In? Or will Hangman shoot Janela down before tangling with the FTW Champion?
The bell rings, fans are fired up already, and Hangman ties right up with Janela. They go around, break, and reset. They tie up again, Hangman headlocks, grinds Janela down, but Janela fights up to power out. Hangman runs Janela over, things speed up and Janela hurdles only for Hangman to hit a headlock takeover. Janela fights up and they end up on ropes. The ref counts, Hangman lets off fast, and fans rally up. Hangman and Janela tie up, go around, and Hangman puts Janela in a corner but Janela turns things around. Janela goes to punch but offers a handshake, only to CHOP Hangman when he hesitates! Hangman frowns, puts Janela in the corner and CHOPS back!
Hangman follows Janela to another corner, CHOPS again, but then Janela dodges to CHOP back! And CHOP, and then Fargo strut, only to turn around into a CHOP! Hangman runs corner to corner to clothesline and snap suplex! Cover, TWO! Fans fire up as Hangman drags Janela up. Janela throws forearms, whips but Hangman reverses. Janela ducks and dodges but is thrown out hard! Hangman aims, slingshots, but Janela avoids the plancha! Janela is on the apron and he SUPERKICKS Hangman, to then run and leap! Hangman catches the crossbody to FALL AWAY SLAM Janela to the floor! Fans fire up as Hangman drags Janela back up and into the ring. Hangman covers, TWO!
Hangman clamps onto Janela with a chinlock, Janela fights up and jawbreakers free! Janela ROCKS Hangman, Hangman ROCKS Janela back! Hangman runs at Janela in a corner but Janela YANKS him into buckles! Fans rally and duel as AEW goes picture in picture.
Janela soaks up the heat from the fans, stomps a mudhole into Hangman, then walks it off to soak up more heat. Hangman gets up and CHOPS back! Janela CHOPS, Hangman ROCKS him! Janela ROCKS Hangman, snapmares and fist drops! Cover, TWO! Janela chokes Hangman against ropes, lets off at the ref’s count, and bumps Hangman off buckles. Janela throws big haymakers but Hangman hits back! They brawl, Janela wrenches and whips Hangman corner to corner hard! Hangman bounces off buckles and Janela lounges on the mat. Janela drags Hangman up, whips him to ropes, and CLOBBERS him! Cover, TWO!
Hangman gets to ropes, Janela stalks over and brings him up for more haymakers. Janela bends Hangman back against ropes, the ref counts and Janela lets off. Janela snapmares Hangman again, clamps on a chinlock and then a neck wrench, but Hangman endures. Hangman fights up, throws body shots, then runs, but into Janela’s clothesline! Janela runs but Hangman clotheslines him out of the ring! AEW returns to single picture as Hangman is down, catching his breath. Hangman goes out, Janela climbs up to the apron, and Hangman Alabama lifts! Janela CLUBS Hangman, throws hands, then eggs Hangman on. Hangman forearms, Janela returns it, and then fireman’s carries!
Hangman slips off, gets in the ring and TRIANGLE LARIATS Janela down! Fans fire up as Hangman aims and PLANCHAS! Direct hit and down goes the Bad Boy! Hangman puts Janela in, fans are fired up for “COWBOY SHIT!” but Janela stops the Buckshot. Hangman and Janela throw more forearms, Janela runs but Hangman hits a SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Janela escapes and Kiss rallies for him, as do the fans. Hangman and Janela go to opposite corners, Hangman runs corner to corner but Janela BOOTS him! Janela runs, but into the Alabama! Janela sunset flips through, TWO! Janela ROCKS Hangman, runs but into a BOOT!
Fans fire up as Hangman grits his teeth. Hangman drags Janela up, whips him to a corner but Janela reverses. Janela gets around the lariat to CORNER GERMAN SUPLEX! Hangman bounces off buckles, Janela goes up top, MACHO ELBOW!! Cover, TWO!! Hangman survives and Janela is beside himself. Janela fireman’s carries but Hangman slips out and shoves to ROLLING ELBOW! Janela wobbles, swings but into Hangman’s second ROLLING ELBOW! POP-UP POWERBOMB! Hangman loads up on the apron and the fans fire up! Hangman has a bloody forehead but he doesn’t care, BUCKSHOT!! Cover, Hangman wins!!
Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall
Hangman gave blood and sweat but no tears in this match, and that might be what it’ll take to take down The Machine! Taz gets on a mic to talk to Hangman, and introduces him to a good friend, the one who will whoop his ass on Sunday! Brian Cage is here in person! Hangman gets a mic to tell Taz to shut up. He knows what’s going on here, so he welcomes Brian to come in. Taz has been doing this over and over! He talks to distract, here comes Ricky Starks and Hook, as expected! Taz says for his guys to go after them, but Hangman says while he expects this from Taz, he expected more from Cage.
Is Cage the kind of guy who needs someone’s help to whoop Hangman’s ass? Doesn’t Cage have balls? Or did they shrink all the way up? Cage should be mad, but he should leave the a-holes out of it to face Hangman like a man! Cage tells Hook to back down and says he won’t need anyone’s help on Sunday! Hangman wants Cage 1v1? Then he’s got it! Because who betta than Cage? Nobody, and definitely not Page! Will the Cowboy be the one to stop the Path of Cage?
AEW hears from Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley.
How much did the Young Bucks spend on these Nike Diors? Eddie doesn’t know and he doesn’t care. Moxley doesn’t like ’em, anyway, they’re kinda ugly. But he and Kingston have been having fun with “Rod ‘n’ Todd Flanders” lately. Time to get serious- And then TNT goes to break. Will we hear the rest of what Moxley was about to say when AEW comes back?
TNT returns and yes, we do hear the rest of Moxley’s statement. It’s time to get serious! The Bucks are currently known as the best tag team in the world, while Mox & Kingston aren’t even “a real team.” Just a couple of shmucks put together. At least, that’s how the Bucks feel. What makes a great team? What makes a family? Moxley trusts Kingston with his life! When Moxley was living out of a motel in Philly, Kingston barged in and said they had to take care of a couple of dudes in Manayunk, Moxley simply asked, “Who’s driving?” He has Kingston’s back in war, and Double or Nothing will be a war for the tag team titles!
Moxley loves titles, championships, all that. But he loves that those are the most important tag team championships in the world! Moxley wants those belts. He NEEDS those belts! The Bucks may be a better tag team, a more “well-oiled machine,” but those belts are raw T-bone steaks and these two are pitbulls! So what are the Bucks going to do when these two clamp down on their legs? Moxley wants those belts! Kingston says the Bucks will quit, because they quit on the people, and they quit on the boys in the back. By the way, “boys in the back,” all sitting there, collecting your paychecks, not doing nothing as the Elite go all carny, Kingston and Moxley aren’t happy!
Moxley and Kingston speak for the underdogs! They’re the ones who are going to win the belts! And then everyone will sit there and quit and no longer be part of AEW. Maybe Moxley and Kingston will replace the Bucks as EVP’s! Moxley isn’t so sure about that. Well, either way, they will see the Bucks on Sunday. The pressure’s coming! Will the Bucks crack under it and give up the gold?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring!
Schiavone explains that Kenny Omega and Don Callis expect Orange Cassidy to withdraw from Double or Nothing’s Triple Threat for the AEW World Championship, given the state he was in after the main event match from a couple weeks ago. Tonight, we will hear his response! But it would seem the third man in that equation wants to hear this personally! The Bastard, PAC, heads to the ring! Pac takes Schiavone’s mic and tells him to leave. Pac then says, “Ladies and gentlemen, please accept my sincerest apology. Clearly, you were expecting somebody else!” But Pac is here to tell us that this Sunday, Orange Cassidy is irrelevant!
In fact, the only one that matters at Double or Nothing will be the man who beats Kenny Omega and becomes the NEW AEW World Champion, PAC!! “So Kenny, Kenny, Kenny, is this really your prestigious title reign that you’re proud of? You’re ducking and you’re dodging and you’re manipulating. To be frank, Kenny, it’s pathetic!” So Omega should make amends and stand face-to-face with Pac, so the whole world can see what will happen at Double or Nothing! Where are you, Kenny?!
Callis is on the titantron and asks if Pac really thought he’d let himself get anywhere near Pac for their confrontation? You think he’d be in the same ring, let alone the same building, as him? He’s not, because Pac is too dangerous! Pac a “violent, aggressive, soulless sociopath” so Callis is not going out there. But Omega is! He runs in from behind but Pac is ready and he mule kicks Omega down! Then front kicks, back kicks and runs to BOOT Omega down! The Good Brothers rush out and mug Pac! Fans boo as they stomp and hammer Pac down, but here come the Lucha Brothers! Death Triangle runs the Good Brothers off, but Omega and Pac are still in the ring!
Omega staggers up, and STOMPS Pac down in a corner! Omega gets Pac up, Electric Chair lifts, but here comes Orange Cassidy! He and his Best Friends, Chuck Taylor, Trent, and Kris Statlander, are here, and Cassidy goes to the ring. Cassidy looks in better shape than he did a couple weeks ago, so what’s his answer to Omega and Callis? Cassidy reaches into his jacket pocket, has an envelope with “For Kenny” on it, and hands it over. Omega opens up the envelope, and finds shredded pieces of the withdrawal contract in it! Cassidy’s answer is clear, but just in case Omega doesn’t get it, here’s an ORANGE PUNCH!
Cassidy then eyes the title, goes to pick it up, but Pac stands on the belt. Cassidy looks up at Pac, and Pac kicks him low! Pac reels Cassidy in, but Cassidy slips out of the bomb to ORANGE PUNCH Pac down!! Cassidy puts his sunglasses back on, fans chant for “Freshly Squeezed!” and Cassidy picks up the belt. Will this be what we see at the end of Double or Nothing’s huge Triple Threat? Or are the odds not in the favor of the King of Sloth Style?
Schiavone interviews Jade Cargill backstage.
We know she issued an open challenge for tonight, and KiLynn King answered it already. Will that be a difficult match for Jade? King is strong and tough in her own right. Jade scoffs at that idea, but here comes Matt Hardy. Hardy says Double or Nothing will be the biggest day in the history of the Hardy Family Office, because Hardy himself will win the Casino Battle Royal and procure a future AEW World Championship match. Big things are happening for the HFO and she should be part of it. Is she going to side with a winning team?
But Mark Sterling walks in to have Hardy hold on a moment. Jade’s already selected Sterling and is his client now. Plus, Hardy should be way too busy right now, what with that big match and all his other clients. Sterling hates to do this because he’s a fan of Hardy’s, but if Hardy keeps accosting Jade like this, Sterling will have no choice but to slap him with a 50 yard restraining order. And that’d be very problematic once AEW goes on the road again, because Hardy won’t even be able to get in the building. Now, Jade has to get ready for the big match Sterling got for her tonight.
See, the difference between Sterling and Hardy is that Hardy takes 30% off the board. Sterling only gets paid if Jade wins. Which is fine because she always wins. Everything else is pro bono, but no hard feelings, Hardy. Sterling offers Hardy his legal services. Hardy angrily hopes Jade is happy with her decision, then storms off.
Jade Cargill w/ Mark Sterling VS KiLynn King!
The storm is coming, and she is still undefeated in AEW. And now with someone by her side to smooth things out for her, is it only a matter of time before Jade storms up to the AEW Women’s World Championship? Or will the King block her path?
The bell rings, Jade “applauds” King, then flexes on her. King flexes, and the two go for a test of strength. They’re evenly matched in side and strength as they go shoulder to shoulder, but Jade bends King back! King bridges, powers back up as fans rally, but Jade breaks the grip to kick King low! Jade drags King up and reels her in for a short-arm clothesline! King gets up, Jade kicks her against ropes then whips her to ropes. King ducks and dodges and leaps but Jade catches her for a set of bicep curls, before the SLAM! Jade swaggers and talks trash as AEW goes picture in picture.
King slowly gets up, catches her breath while Jade keeps talking, and then mule kicks her into a corner! King goes corner to corner to SHOTGUN Jade! Jade puts up boots, King blocks them and swings Jade into ropes, but Jade goes to the apron to shoulder into King! Jade slingshots up and over and keeps moving, to hit a SPINEBUSTER! Jade looms over King, talks more trash, then stomps King down. King keeps sitting up but Jade keeps stomping her down. Jade rains down forearms and fists, drags King up and bumps her off buckles. Jade stomps a mudhole into King, digs her boot in, but lets off as the ref counts 4. Jade seethes as she stalks King, then talks more trash on her.
King gets up, Jade ROCKS her in the corner! Jade whips King corner to corner hard, and King bounces off buckles! Jade stomps King down more, KICKS her in the back, then clamps on a neck wrench. King endures as Jade shifts to a chinlock, fights up but Jade CLUBS her down. AEW returns to single picture as Jade snap suplexes then kips up. Jade drags King up, King throws body shots and forearms! King whips, Jade reverses and sends King out hard! King flounders on the outside as Jade talks trash. Sterling mockingly offers his card to King, King swipes at him! Sterling is upset, King gets on the apron and Jade DECKS her! Sterling takes back his card, too.
Jade drags King up to bump off aprons, shoves her into the ring, but King swings on her, only for Jade to get around and chicken wing the arms! Jade walks around before hitting JADED! Cover, Jade wins!
Winner: Jade Cargill, by pinfall
Another win under her belt, Jade says she’s #ThatBitch! But will she soon have her shot at the belt after Double or Nothing?
AEW hears from Jake the Snake and Lance Archer.
Jake says that yes, if Dante Martin wins tonight, he’ll be the youngest champion ever in AEW. If he wins. If a frog had wings, he’d stop busting his ass on the ground. Archer says that he doesn’t care about Dante. All due respect, hopefully Dante has a great match tonight, but Archer wants to face Miro at Double or Nothing. The ticket has been punched, and Archer wants to punch Miro right in the face! Miro’s done nothing but piss Archer off since he got that title. After Sunday, The Murderhawk Monster will be the NEW TNT Champion! Will Archer get his wish and be facing The Best Man for the title?
AEW TNT Championship: Miro VS Dante Martin!
Speaking of, The Best Man gets his first defense out of the way on Dynamite against Angel Dorado! But will the Bulgarian Barbarian make Dante into a real angel just to send a message to the Murderhawk? Or can all the momentum Dante’s been building on Dark and Dark: Elevation help him pull off the biggest upset in his career?
The introductions are made, the title is raised, and we see who heads for Double or Nothing to face Archer!
Miro and Dante circle, fans sing, “Miro’s gonna kill~ you!” and Miro enjoys it. They tie up, Miro KNEES hard and low then fires off in a corner! The ref counts, Miro lets off at 4, and fans fire up as Miro gets Dante back up, for an OVERHEAD Belly2Belly! Miro storms around, KICKS Dante while he’s down, and then scowls as he stands over Dante. Fans want that “One More Time!” but Miro fakes everyone out. Miro grins and fans do admit that was good. Miro drags Dante up but Dante jawbreakers! Miro wobbles but he still reels Dante in for a judo throw! Miro runs but Dante dodges the falling headbutt!
Dante gets to a corner, slips out to the apron as Miro runs in and Miro gets buckles! Dante shoulders, GAMANGIRIS, then springboards up and up and MOONSAULTS! Cover, ONE!! Miro gets out fast and then whips Dante at a corner. Dante goes up and over and returns with a springboard missile dropkick! Fans fire up as Dante covers, ONE!! Miro snarls as Dante hurries to another corner. Dante climbs but Miro gets him to ROCK him with a right! Miro stands Dante back up, drags him up and dead lift suplexes high and hard! Dante staggers up into the BEST KICK! Miro smiles and fans fire up, because it’s “GAME OVER!!” Miro stomps, puts on the DEEP came clutch, and Dante taps! Miro wins!
Winner: Miro, by submission (still AEW TNT Champion)
Miro makes Dante suffer for thinking he stood a chance, but here comes Jake and Archer! Jake says he has Archer focused and ready for Sunday’s opportunity! Sunday, Miro’s fairy tale ends. Miro huffs and puffs and blows the house down, but Archer doesn’t play fairy tales. No, no. Jake thinks he should speak Miro’s language, and tries Bulgarian. Jake gives us the translation for free: “Why don’t you just shut the F up?” Jake and Archer have had enough! Miro comes in, bullies someone, and thinks he’s special. Archer is ready to go.
Miro gets a mic so he can tell the old fart to shut up! He’s always holding his boy back, but let’s see if we see Archer let loose! C’mon, Lance! You always afraid? Jake says SIC ‘EM! Archer gets in, choke grips, and Miro pops free of the choke grip! Refs rush in but Archer punches and BOOTS Miro down! Fans fire up and Miro wants more, but Archer DECKS him! Jake laughs and wants the party to start! But this has to wait for Double or Nothing! Will Archer finally get the TNT title one year after coming up short?
AEW returns and Schiavone is back in the ring!
Referee Bryce Remsburg has an AEW Women’s World Championship in hand as Schiavone notes that it was May 23, 2020, right as the pandemic got going, there was a new champion crowned. She is the longest reigning champion in AEW ever, so tonight we will honor and celebrate that 377 day reign! Welcome to the ring, Hikaru Shida! Fans cheer for the Full Metal Warrior as she makes her entrance, holding her own copy of the AEW Women’s World Championship. Schiavone continues by saying that in honor of this reign, we are presenting for the first time ever, a brand new belt! Bigger, shinier, and something Shida is definitely worthy of!
Remsburg hands the belt to Schiavone, and he puts it around Shida’s waist! Fans chant, “You Deserve It!” and Schiavone congratulates her. She’s earned all of this, this is a big moment, even with the title match this Sunday. Shida takes the mic to say, “When I won this title, there were no fans in here. But tonight, you are here!” Fans cheer because they’re happy to be here for this moment. Shida continues to say, “I’m so proud to share this moment with you, because this title is for you! And you! And you!” But here comes Britt Baker to ruin the fun. She knew she wouldn’t be invited, but she comes in peace, and to congratulate Shida.
Britt hopes Shida understands that she was a champion during the most difficult time in all of pro-wrestling history. And no one can ever take that away from her. This was Shida’s year. But Britt has something she needs to address. Britt has to admit that she misspoke when she talked with JR last week. Britt said something she needs to take back. She said she’s the face of the Women’s Division. But when she wins that brand new belt at Double or Nothing, Britt will be the face of a new ERA. And much like an era before her was about 3:16, this era will be all about DMD. Mic drop and Britt takes her leave. Will Britt prove this is her time? Or will Shida look to go for a second anniversary?
Sammy Guevara has his cue cards!
AEW is picture in picture as he delivers a final message. “This Sunday, 48 hours, Spears! With every card you read, your time draws near. My warning you should heed. Your time draws near. At Stadium Stampeded, your time draws near. The Inner Circle will succeed! Your time draws near. No amount of chairs will save you! The Spanish God will… Hit You Up!” A very poetic ultimatum, but will the Pinnacle’s Chair Man fear what’s coming?
Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky VS Evil Uno & Stu Grayson w/ The Dark Order!
This showdown was already set from last time, with how the Dark Order ran off All Ego & The Face of the Revolution from an attack on Darby Allin and Sting. After doing so again this week, will things only be more heated? Or will Ethan & Scorpio use Players One & Two as mere warm-ups before their boss battle at Double or Nothing?
Scorpio starts with Uno, they circle, tie up, and Uno powers Scorpio to a corner. Scorpio powers back out but Uno waistlocks. Scorpio switches and slams Uno then walks all over him. Ethan gloats, Uno gets up and circles with Scorpio. Scorpio keeps his hands back though Uno wants a test of strength. Scorpio puts his dukes up then wrenches an arm. Uno wrenches back, wristlocks, but Scorpio rolls. Uno rolls with him to keep the wristlock, then wrenches again to wrangle Scorpio to the mat. Uno drags Scorpio over, Stu tags in, but Scorpio gets away to his corner. Ethan tags in, Stu dodges him to triangle jump and APRON DDT Scorpio down!
Ethan realizes he’s alone with the Dark Order now! He swings on Stu but Stu counter punches and RAMS him into the corner! Tag to Uno, he CHOPS Ethan, then CHOPS him again! Tag to Stu, they coordinate for a springboard elbow drop SIDEWALK SLAM! Ethan scrambles away while fans fire up. Ethan wants a timeout but there’s no such thing in wrestling! Stu aims to APRON SENTON Ethan! Ethan gets in the ring but Scorpio trips Stu up hard! Scorpio tags in then slingshot CUTTERS! Scorpio soaks up the heat as AEW goes picture in picture.
Scorpio drags Stu up, whips him to a corner hard, then mocks Sting’s howl before he runs in. STINGER SPLASH! Clearly a message sent to the Icon! Scorpio drags Stu up, tags in Ethan, and they mug Stu. Stu throws body shots on Ethan, but Ethan shoves Stu to then run him over! Ethan knocks Uno down, too, then drags Stu over to tag in Scorpio. Ethan stomps Stu’s legs while Scorpio scrapes his soles on Stu’s face! Stu scrambles to ropes but Scorpio hokes him! The ref counts, Scorpio lets off and gets Stu up to ROCK him with a right! Ethan traps Stu in the corner, Scorpio throws uppercuts!
Scorpio soaks up the heat but Stu kicks and elbows back! Stu throws forearms, Scorpio knees low! Scorpio whips Stu to ropes but Stu sunset flips! Ethan tags in and stomps Stu down! Ethan gets Stu up to whip hard into a corner, but Stu boots him back! Stu hops up, Scorpio anchors his feet and Ethan ROCKS Stu before hitting ICONOCLASM! Ethan drags Stu by an arm, tags Scorpio in, and they mug Stu more. Scorpio paces around Stu, stomps him, then taunts him. Stu goes to the corner but Scorpio throws hands. Scorpio stalks Stu, throws hands, then talks some trash while he chokes Stu in a corner.
AEW returns to single picture while the ref has to keep an angry Uno back. Stu ROCKS Scorpio! And again! Stu CHOPS Scorpio, but Scorpio fireman’s carries! Stu slips off to hit an URENAGE! Both men are down, Scorpio tags Ethan and he drags Stu away. Stu flips back up to his feet, to DOUBLE PELE Ethan & Scorpio! Ethan and Scorpio stagger, Stu fires up with the fans and hot tags Uno! Uno DOUBLE CLOTHESLINES, then rallies with big forearms! Uno whips Ethan but Ethan reverses, only for Uno to RANA?! Scorpio runs but Uno trips him up to stomp the hands! Uno BITES Scorpio’s face! Then hits a SWINGING COMPLETE SHOT!
Ethan runs but Uno blocks the boot, gives it to the ref, and hits a NECKBREAKER! Tag to Stu and fans fire up! They each bring up Scorpio and Ethan, Stu puts Scorpio in a corner but Ethan ROUNDHOUSES Uno! Stu KNEES Ethan into Uno’s boots! “GET OVER HERE!” Uno boots Ethan into Stu’s OVERHEAD Belly2Belly, and Ethan lands on Scorpio! Fans fire up as Stu and Uno coordinate, for the 450 CANNONBALL COMBO! Cover, TWO!! Ethan survives and the Dark Order is shocked! Uno tags in, Stu goes to a corner and climbs as fans say, “This is Awesome!” Scorpio saves Ethan from Fatality and rakes Uno’s eyes! Stu rushes Scorpio but gets tripped up into the KNEEBAR!
Ethan gets Uno, crucifix for the EGO’S EDGE!! Ethan covers Uno, Ethan & Scorpio win!
Winners: Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky, by pinfall
The Ego and the Face of the Revolution win, and Ethan gets a mic! “Exactly what happened tonight will be happening this Sunday! Whether it’s that heel hook, or the Ego’s Edge, Sting and Darby-” They’re making their way back out! Darby has an army of Sting cosplayers! Darby and the Stingers rush in but Scorpio dumps out all the fake Stings! Wait, that one is the REAL Sting! Darby has Ethan in a sleeper hold, Ethan slips free, and he regroups with Scorpio! Will Sting’s return to a traditional tag match be one to remember?
Eric Bischoff heads to the ring!
The trailblazer in wrestling is going to host the celebration of the Inner Circle! We’ll see what Bischoff has to say after the break.
AEW returns once more, and Bischoff has a mic. “Oh, I love you people! Each and every single one of you! But isn’t time a funny thing, when you think about it? 25 years ago last night, as a matter of fact, I had the opportunity to introduce what would become, eventually, one of the factions that many people would say is the greatest faction of all time. On this very network, TNT! How about that?” But tonight, he has the opportunity to introduce another faction, and a group of badasses, that could very well take that crown. Join Bischoff in welcoming The Inner Circle!
Jericho leads the way for Santana, Ortiz, Sammy and Hager as the fans sing Judas. They join Bischoff in the ring and Jericho says it feels so good to be surrounded by fans again! And listen, it feels good to be here with a guy they called to make amends with. Bischoff, thank you for everything you’ve done for Jericho in his career, from WCW and beyond, and thank you for being here tonight. Bischoff thanks Jericho for having him here, and he couldn’t think of a better way to thank Jericho than to show us the sweet video package they put together. A greatest hits, if you will!
The video plays, and it starts with a montage of when they made their Dynamite debut, took the fight to the Nightmare Family and The Elite, to name a few. Spike to Moxley’s eye, car door to Dustin’s arm, sack of oranges to Orange Cassidy, baseball bat to Vanguard 1, and middle fingers all around. The fight with Mike Tyson, the handshake with Mike Tyson, the Bubbly bath for The Pinnacle, the fans cheer for it all. Santana says, “Wow! We’ve done some pretty cool shit, huh, boys?” But do they remember 10/2/2019? The night that everything changed for all of them? The night they created magic, and then 18 months later, they’re here stronger than ever!
Santana says alongside that entire locker room, they took this company, put it on their backs and carried it through the pandemic! “And here we are, standing with the return of the best fans in wrestling today!” If this is the last night as the Inner Circle, if this truly is their last dance, Santana wouldn’t have it any other way than with his brothers in front of all the fans. Ortiz continues by saying, “Yo, that was beautiful, man.” Hager says it was beautiful. He’s always been a believer in “It’s about the journey, not the destination,” so if this is it, then seeing the good times is not what he wants. He wants those hard times! The times they got beaten, bloodied, left with no choice.
Show Hager those times when each man left a part of their soul behind! Show Hager the hard times that make hard men! Those are the moments they should celebrate! Sammy takes the mic and fans cheer him on. “What else is there to say, man? We’ve been through everything together. Hell, when I came to AEW, I was wearing a freaking panda head.” And now, Sammy is in the greatest faction in ALL of pro-wrestling! Until he wasn’t. That time he quit the Inner Circle, he didn’t have his guys with him, he didn’t like that at all. He will do everything in his power to make sure that never happens again! But if it does and this is the end, then thanks for everything.
Jericho says when he was first asked about putting together a faction of his own, he was very hesitant. He doesn’t play well with others, and then he met these guys. “It just felt right!” The first time he saw a picture of all five, he thought, “Wow, these are some badass looking mother-” Ortiz says, “Shut your mouth, Chris.” Jericho adjusts course and says they were like Guns ‘n’ Roses in 1987! The way they looked, the way they thought, they didn’t care about anyone except each other and cared only about putting on the best performances possible, night after night after night!
And that hasn’t changed! Stadium Stampede 2 will be a war, a battle, and if something goes wrong, if they lose, they are going down in a blaze of glory! If this is the last time they’re together, then Jericho has one thing to say to the Inner Circle: “I love you.” Fans cheer that as the Inner Circle hugs it out. Then, they give one last group middle finger! But MJF is on the titantron and says, “Bravo.” MJF cries fake tears as he says that was a touching moment. The love and passion they have is incredible. But it makes him all the more excited for Sunday. Is Wardlow excited? Wardlow nods. How about you, Dean?
MJF moves aside and reveals they have DEAN MALENKO, beat up and stuck against the goal post! “Listen up, Chris! You and your boys better rush down to the stadium right now, before I make the Iceman over here extra cold!” MJF’s sunk to a new low going after someone not even involved in the Inner Circle! The Inner Circle runs as fast as they can from Daily’s Place to TIAA Field, but the Pinnacle AMBUSHES them! It was all MJF’s trap to get some early shots in before Double or Nothing! It’s a brawl all over the sidelines and bleachers! Spears has a chair to SMACK Sammy with! The “Canadian God” is euphoric as he stands over Sammy!
MJF throws Jericho down, Wardlow is after Hager, and FTR has Santana & Ortiz up on the bleacher level, aiming for tables! MJF, Spears and Wardlow all get their respective Inner Circle nemeses, and Tully coordinates for a QUINTUPLE PILEDRIVER, with FTR taking PNP THROUGH TABLES!! Spears sits in his chair, looming over Spears. MJF shouts “This is why when you are in The Pinnacle, you are always on top!” The Pinnacle puts their hands in, and their logo is on the titantron! Will this be what we see on Sunday? Or has the Pinnacle broken the Inner Circle even before Stadium Stampede 2?
My Thoughts:
A pretty good episode, especially for a go-home that seemed more a formality than anything, where not much would change this close to the PPV and all that. Having all the fans possible in Daily’s Place was great, though, they were fired up the whole night, made this episode feel big, as it should. Miro of course demolished Dante Martin, but he had a great promo with Jake and Archer, and we got a good though short brawl of them. I said this last week that it is hard to tell who wins at Double or Nothing, but I feel Archer needs this more than Miro since there’s the point of it being a year later from when he lost to Cody. So 51-49 in favor of Archer, but it’ll be a badass match of badass big guys either way.
There was some redundancy with Darby, Sting, Ethan and Scorpio, though. Darby VS Bononi was a good match to get fans going at the start, and naturally Darby wins to get momentum. Darby calling Ethan & Scorpio out, them claiming they won’t beat him and Sting up “for free” and all that was fine, but having Dark Order go after Ethan & Scorpio was a bit copy-paste from last week. Then they gave us the flipside after Ethan & Scorpio won that great main event match with Dark Order, and they pulled the “It’s Sting wearing a Sting mask!” move from Sting’s Impact days, that felt like the proper go-home segment. It doesn’t change that Sting & Darby are more than likely winning, in my opinion, so a lot of it just seemed purely for the live fans.
I didn’t expect the weigh-in segment to be in the first half hour, but fine, they got it out of the way. There was somebody new with The Factory that they didn’t bother introducing here, maybe we meet him properly on the Dark episodes set for this week. Again, a lot of this was just posturing by Cody, the weigh-in affects nothing because it’s a non-title match and there are no weight classes in AEW, it is just their way of putting on another layer of sport in their blend of sports entertainment. Is the weight difference of 218 VS 219 and QT’s piss poor way of making it a big deal supposed to be the “standing tall” part in the math? I mean, we’ve all felt Cody is winning this cuz “LOL Cody Wins” but I guess whatever they need to make it fit their logic…
Hobbs and Christian brawling was a great thing, though. Helps hype up their part of the battle royal, could even turn into a Street Fight for these two on the post PPV Dynamite next Friday or sometime later. Hangman VS Janela was very good, though I’m a little disappointed they had a kayfabe way of not making Janela ditching Kiss on Dark a bigger deal. Hangman thwarting an attack by Team Taz by questioning Cage’s manhood was actually a good move. Their match is going to be great, but as I’ve said, that FTW Championship needs to start being defended. Even if it’s just on Dark or Elevation, someone should be having matches with Cage for that.
The promo from Moxley and Kingston was great, but as I wrote, TNT cut away. This Dynamite was live, so obviously they didn’t take into consideration that this prerecorded promo was pretty long. They still gotta figure that kind of stuff out, honestly. I like that Pac “interrupted” the segment for Cassidy’s response to Omega. Callis’ set-up to Omega’s ambush was confusing. Pac was calling out Kenny, why the hell would Callis talk about himself going out there? Lucha Bros running off Good Brothers was fine, Best Friends seeing Cassidy out there was fine, but Cassidy giving Omega an envelope of shredded paper was great stuff. Cassidy standing tall sadly means Omega retains, but that was also expected.
Jade getting a match tonight was a surprise, but I probably just wasn’t paying attention to AEW social media. Of course Jade wins, but I did like the promo before where Hardy finds out too little too late that Jade’s signed Sterling as her manager. I am already waiting to see a Triple Threat where there are also the managers, Jade w/ Sterling VS Nyla w/ Vickie VS Bunny w/ Hardy and we see which Heel manager can pull off a screwjob better. The celebration of Shida’s anniversary wasn’t as big as I expected, but getting a bigger, better belt was cool. Britt showing up was expected, though, and I guess she’s replacing Austin 3:16 with Britt DMD. I feel this is another 51-49, Britt gets the belt since Shida got this moment here, and then the match-ups are freshened up.
Sammy had another good cue card promo, and The Inner Circle celebration was a little less than I expected, but the promos the members had were all good. All of that made me think they really were going to split-up after Double or Nothing, but then there was The Pinnacle’s trap. In the same way The Inner Circle got the better of The Elite last year going into Stadium Stampede I, Pinnacle standing tall over Inner Circle now has to mean they’re losing. Inner Circle will find a way to overcome The Pinnacle, and similarly to Sammy taking that insane One Winged Angel, I bet MJF or Spears are the guys to take an insane finisher spot to end the match.
My Score: 8.6/10

Harley tried to trick us all, but Rosa took her down again! Rosa holds up a fan’s sign that says, “Women’s Wrestling is Alive and Well,” and that is most certainly true! Will Rosa then be leading the charge as she chases down whoever has the AEW Women’s World title?

Renee Paquette is with The CEO, and Mone tells, “Rampaaage~! Say hello to your C E O.” Renee brings up Dynamite and Kamille but Mone stops her there. Mone does not ever wanna hear that name out of Renee’s mouth ever again. Mone is NOT here to talk about Kamille. She is here to celebrate a special edition Lucha Libre Rampage! Everyone knows how much Mone loves lucha libre. Eddie Guerrero is still Mone’s favorite, she grew up watching him, so she is just feeling some type of way. She is so thankful during this time of year, and she is most thankful for… herself! Mone is thankful for her and her money.
And before asking another question, Renee, we all know Christmas is around the corner. And what Mone wants is even more championship gold! And we all know money changes everything. It seems the TBS Championship AND NJPW Strong Women’s Championships are not enough, but will the world (title) never be enough for The CEO?

Does Nick feel prepared for this match? Nick smirks, and says he signed a contract to AEW when he was just 16 years old, before he even graduated high school. And Renee wants to question if Nick is ready for Hook? Sure, Hook is dangerous, but how dangerous is he when he has to sneak attack Nick when he’s not paying attention? And it’s reasons like that that Nick begged his “father,” Christian Cage, to get this match made in Hook’s hometown, in a venue that Hook’s dad made famous!
Nick also did it to prove to not just Christian but the entire world what the REAL future of pro-wrestling looks like. So Hook, see you at home. Or will he? Nick questions the courage of the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil, but will The Patriarchy regret giving Hook three weeks to prepare?

The Dynamite Dozen speak.
Kyle O’Reilly says it’s Max with another master plan. But after next week, Kyle will be one step closer to taking that diamond ring, and shutting MJF up. Don Callis’ Murder Machines say that they’ll win, even fight each other, and then they’re hunting down MJF’s ass! So much for that business deal… Mark Davis says he’ll take that diamond ring, cash it in, and have himself a good little weekend. Alex Abrahantes says Komander’s speed, skill, and ability to walk the ropes will see him through to facing MJF. Adam Cole doesn’t give a damn about who is in this battle royal, this is all a tool for Cole to get his hands around MJF’s neck! For everything MJF has done, Cole will beat his ass!
Hechicero VS Komander w/ Alex Abrahantes!
This lucha libre Rampage finishes up with the Alchemist of Lucha Libre and the Commander of the Skies! Will Hechicero use that in-ring magic to get another win for CMLL? Or can Komander show what it is to be All Elite?
The bell rings and the fans rally up for this first-ever match-up! They chant for “LUCHA! LUCHA!” The two circle, feel things out, and Hechi uses a leg guard as he approaches. Komander rolls clear, and the two feel things out. They knuckle lock but Hechi wrenches and wrangles Komander. Komander kips up, Hechi whips but Komander rolls the dropdown into a headlock. The two stand, Hechi fires body shots and whips. Hechi then blows past Komander, and he catches the hurdle into a FLAPJACK! FLOATING ELBOW DROP! Hechi shows off with a duck walk and a pose, and the fans cheer as Hechi waits on Komander.

Winner: Hechicero, by pinfall
An instant classic from two lucha icons, but it was the Alchemist who wins out! Will Komander be able to recover so that he can make an impact in the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal?
My Thoughts:
A great Rampage, especially with the theme of lucha libre and the crossover with CMLL stars. Though that said, of course the CMLL stars were winning. Great stuff in the Six Man Tag, and an awesome main event from Hechicero VS Komander. Mortos VS Serpentico was surprisingly good, though I guess that’s because Serpentico got to show his stuff. Thanks to the prerecorded nature of Collision and Rampage, Mortos gets to lose a match in Chicago, Illinois but win one in Reading, Pennsylvania. And of course Rosa beat Harley again, but I really appreciate commentary playing along like Harley-gram wasn’t at all obviously Harley Cameron. Rosa’s win here definitely keeps her primed for a shot at the world championship after Winter is Coming.
Good promo from just six of the Dynamite Diamond Dozen, and as I said for Collision, I’m thinking this comes down to Kyle and Cole. They’ll fight, and as much as I want Cole to win, it’s probably Kyle, and then we get Kyle VS MJF for the diamond ring, Cole VS MJF at Worlds End. A surprise move tonight was someone taking out Kamille backstage. With this and Anna Jay’s promo on Collision, it definitely has to be The Vendetta doing Mone’s dirty work while expecting payment for their “protection.” Anna and Kamille will fight Deonna and Taya, and then maybe someone out of that field faces Mone for the TBS Championship at Worlds End.
My Score: 8.7/10

Mariah May speaks.
On the same film set that she attacked Mina Shirakawa, with the glass shards of a champagne bottle still at her feet, The Glamour wants the cameraman to come closer. She’s ready for her interview now. “I’m a complicated woman. I do a lot of things that people don’t understand and that’s okay. So when people ask me why I broke up with Mina, I could give the simple answer of jealousy, or watching her prance around Japan with the ghost of my past, but… That’s not true. I never broke up with Mina Shirakawa. In fact, we’re closer than ever. Every time she came here, it was, ‘I love America! I love AEW! I want to be champion!’
“So who could I not give her a chance at everything she’s ever wanted? You want to be on top? Well this is what it takes to be on top. You beat me, you can have it all. AEW, you want Mina? Here she is. Now let’s see how long she lasts. You can cry. You can scream. You can bleed. But you can never say I didn’t love you.” Mariah May is twisted, but will this bad romance soon come to an end now that Winter is Coming?

Backstage interview with Anna Jay.
Lexy Nair is with The Queenslayer, and notes that while she lost to Mariah May in that last chance title match, she did bounce back at Full Gear against Deonna Purrazzo. Anna says her career has been full of ups and downs, but she’s never backed down from swinging for the fences. She put it all on the line against Mariah, and lost. So what does that mean? It means she has nothing left to lose! Deonna found out an Anna with nothing to lose is one fat ass that can’t be kicked. So no, she can’t challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship right now, but there are other titles that she can.
And Anna doesn’t mind on taking that one big swing. Just try her. Or maybe, she’ll try someone! Anna heads out, will she make herself The Star of the Show one way or another?
AEW Continental Classic, Blue League: Kyle Fletcher VS The Beast Mortos!
The Protostar won perhaps his biggest match last week on Full Gear, but now he’s going for a big prize in the Continental Championship. But in his way is a BIG beast, as The Beast Mortos wants to prove his worth to La Faccion Ingobernable. Will the menacing minotaur make big strikes towards a championship? Or will he be struck down by Don Callis’ Aussie Arrow?
Speaking of Don Callis, he finds a loophole in the No Cornermen rule by simply being on commentary. Kyle and Mortos circle at the bell, tie up, and are in a deadlock. Mortos pushes Kyle back and the fans rally behind the beast. Kyle shrugs that off and soaks up heat as he circles with Mortos. Kyle slips around, headlocks, but Mortos powers out. But Kyle pulls on the mask! The ref reprimands but Kyle has the headlock again. Mortos powers up and out, Kyle RAMS Mortos, and the fans fire up. Mortos flounders and a ring count starts. Kyle goes out the side, runs in around the way, and he BOOTS Mortos down! Kyle flexes while he soaks up heat and the ref reprimands. Kyle goes back to Mortos, drags him up, and the fans tell Kyle off while he puts Mortos in the ring. Kyle pretends he can’t hear them, and then he storms over to stomp away on Mortos! The ref counts, especially as Kyle stands on Mortos’ face! Kyle says “SUCK IT!” Kyle runs corner to corner, forearm SMASH! And then a BIG back suplex! Cocky cover, TWO! Mortos stays in this but Kyle paces around. Kyle blows a kiss and Collision goes to break.

The Aussie Arrow strikes, and not only does he keep pace with Shelton Benjamin in Blue League, but he keeps pace with Will Ospreay. Ospreay and Kyle both won tonight, could they end up meeting at Worlds End?
Backstage interview with Kyle O’Reilly.
Lexy Nair wants to talk with the Violent Artist, but he’s being pestered by The Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven & Mike Bennett. Taven apologizes to Lexy, but now’s not the time. Lexy excuses herself and Bennett says he doesn’t get why Kyle won’t listen to them when Kyle knows what this is about. How long have they known each other? 14, 15 years? Bennett has known Adam Cole, Roderick Strong and Matt Taven just as long, so Kyle knows this is bigger than wrestling. This is about loyalty, friendship, and standing up for one of their own.
When Kyle chose not to join The Undisputed Kingdom a year ago, Taven wasn’t sure why. He thought it was finally going to be what they all wanted, all five of them together as one. Taven even called Kyle after Cole called them because Taven wanted to know why. Kyle wasn’t ready physically and mentally, and they respected it. Then Kyle and Roddy had it out, Taven & Bennett stayed out of it because they respected Kyle’s wishes. But now Kyle needs to understand and respect The Kingdom’s wishes! They need to exorcise some demons, exorcise those devils in them. So they aren’t asking much, just that Kyle let them finish this chapter in their careers.
Kyle wants The Kingdom to understand, he respects it plenty. Kyle leaves but The Kingdom doesn’t understand what Kyle means by that. Is he going to let Adam Cole win the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal to go after MJF?
Backstage interview with the Don Callis Family.
Callis is with his Alpha, Konosuke Takeshita, and he explains that Callis is here to do something that he likes better than anything else, and that is talking about Takeshita! Talking about the Alpha! Callis had a front row seat to Konosuke DESTROYING Ricochet at Full Gear, and that made him very happy. And what also makes him happy is thinking of the coming year for The Alpha! They’re rolling into Tokyo Dome and Konosuke’s gonna blow the roof off of it! Then they’ll come back to AEW, and make 2025 the Year of the Don Callis Family, and the Year of the Alpha! Tell ’em, Champ!
Konosuke says in Japanese first that he is going to the Tokyo Dome to conquer it in the name of the Don Callis Family, and then in English, he says he will dominate this ring, this title, and dares anyone to come and take it! Callis repeats, “Come and take it, if you can!” Will The Alpha be ready for whoever it is that wants his gold in the New Year?
The Outrunners VS The Iron Savages w/ Jacked Jameson!
Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd could not take the tag titles at Full Gear, but these throwbacks still have “the stuff!” Will nothing stop the Youngest Men Alive from going for the gold?
Wait, Jacked Jameson has the mic to tell the fat morons and skinny idiots to shut up! There seems to be some confusion about the new Iron Savages’ shirt! They aren’t the meat riders, everyone else is! And that includes “these two spinning idiots!” The Savages will beat them down, put them in their place, and take their spots! Because they are the Iron Savages! Sippin’ sauce, livin’ hoss, and taking all the Low T Meat Riders to #TIDDYCITY! The Outrunners aren’t intimidated and the teams sort out. Truth starts against Beefcake Boulder, and the fans rally up at the bell. Boulder flexes on Truth, but Truth flexes back!
The fans cheer Truth, but Boulder TOSSES him to the corner! Boulder throws ELBOW after ELBOW, then he tags Bronson. Bronson fires body shots and haymakers, then flexes to mock Truth. Bronson ROCKS Truth, tags Boulder, and the Savages mock the spin. Boulder sends Bronson in to SPLASH, then Bronson sends Truth into Boulder’s scoop. SIDEWALK SLAM! Cover, TWO! The fans rally up for Truth but Boulder goes to a corner. The Savages gyrate, and Boulder goes up, but he slips and falls! Truth may have gotten a bit lucky there, but Boulder hurries to tag Bronson. Bronson runs in but Truth dodges!
Bronson hits buckles. Truth hurdles, hot tag to Turbo! Turbo rallies with haymakers on both Savages! Turbo winds up and he ROCKS Boulder! Turbo scoops to SLAM Bronson! And then he scoops and SLAMS Bronson again! Truth becomes the human weapon, SLAM SENTON onto Bronson! Wait, Turbo scoops Boulder!? Boulder’s too much for one man! Boulder grabs both Outrunners, but the Outrunners fight up! The fans cheer as The Outrunners kick, and DOUBLE SCOOP SLAM! The fans fire up and Truth says, “Turbo Floyd! YOU SONOVABISH!” DOUBLE ELBOW DROP! Bronson staggers up into a scoop! TOTAL RECALL!! Cover, Outrunners win!
Winners: The Outrunners, by pinfall
Chicago cheers as the retro filter takes us back to the 1980s while The Outrunners get back on a winning track! But wait! FTR is here! Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler join Truth & Turbo in the ring, and they all HANDSHAKE! The fans cheer as the #TopGuys are happy for their friends, but will either of these teams be headed for the tag titles before Worlds End?
Backstage interview with Max Caster.
Lexy Nair is with Platinum Max and brings up the rather erratic behavior as of late. Yeah, well, Swerve Strickland is crazy! He attacks Caster outta nowhere! He ripped The Best Wrestler Alive jacket! Caster could sue Swerve but that’s not real rap. So Swerve, look in Caster’s eyes. Swerve doesn’t deserve what he’s gotten here in AEW! But here Caster is, giving that “gold toothed b*tch” a chance to take on The Best Wrestler Alive. Caster wants Swerve this Wednesday Night Dynamite! Okay, but then where is the rest of The Acclaimed? Oh, he hasn’t talked to them since Full Gear. Anthony Bowens was so pissed after he lost that match for them.
Caster told the guys that they could take the week off, it was Thanksgiving after all, and as the leader, Caster knows his guys have his back against Swerve. Swerve, if you’re a real champion, a real rapper, then you’ll accept the challenge and take this ass whooping like a man! And that is a mic drop! Caster heads out, but is he the crazy one thinking he should face The Realest in a match?
Hangman Page VS Wheeler Yuta!
Speaking of crazy, the Blackhat Cowboy was so out of his mind after his loss to Jay White, he decked Christopher Daniels! Not only that, but he more or less handed Christian Cage a cash-in opportunity at the end of Full Gear. The Death Riders do not appreciate this, and so now The Decoder is stepping up. Will Yuta make sure Hangman understands what he’s getting himself into? Or is Hangman going to make Yuta an example to Jon Moxley?
The bell rings and the two circle. They feel things out, Yuta goes for a leg but Hangman HAMMERS away on him for it! Yuta goes to ropes and Hangman backs off. The fans rally as the two reset, and they tie up. Yuta grabs that leg, trips Hangman, but Hangman kicks free. Yuta headlocks, Hangman powers up and out, but Yuta dodges. Yuta leaps but Hangman catches him for a SLAM! Hangman stands Yuta up, bumps him off buckles again and again, and again and again, but stops at the ref’s count of 4. Hangman wants to pull the buckle pad off but the ref says don’t. They argue, but Yuta kicks low!

Yuta CHOPS Hangman again, but Hangman scowls. Yuta CHOPS, but Hangman eggs him on! The CHOPS keep going but then Yuta kicks a leg! Yuta trips Hangman, and he fights to turn Hangman over. HALF CRAB! Hangman endures while fans give thumbs down. Hangman crawls his way over, ROPEBREAK! Yuta holds on until the ref counts 4, and mocks Bryan Danielson by saying he has ’til 5. Yuta then storms up on Hangman to ROCK him, BITE him, and then climb up. The fans boo as Yuta mocks the Yes Movement. Yuta rains down fists, but Hangman stops him at 5 to then carry him out! Atomic drop!

The fans fire up for Hangman as he whips Yuta hard into more railing! Yuta writhes and Hangman points to the other side. The fans cheer and Hangman whips again. Hangman escapes, and he POP-UP- NO! Yuta fights the bomb! Hangman blocks a lariat, BOOTS Yuta, but Yuta rewinds! Yuta waistlocks, Hangman throws him off, DISCUS LARIAT! Hangman glares at The Bastard & The Swiss Superman as he goes to the apron, but now Marina Shafir & Jon Moxley have joined them! Hangman slingshots, but his leg buckles! Yuta rolls him, shifts around, SEATBELT! Cover, TWO!!
Hangman scoops Yuta, DEADEYE!! Cover, Hangman wins!!
Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall
The Death Riders tried to intimidate Hangman into defeat, but that’s not a thing when it comes to Hangman. Moxley simply talks things over with Claudio, perhaps they’re more impressed than anything. Wait, Hangman HAMMERS away on Yuta! Moxley and crew do not even take a step forward!? So Hangman ups the ante by grabbing a chair! Hangman puts that chair around Yuta’s neck! Hangman is going to use something out of the Death Rider playbook, and yet they do not flinch. But here comes Jay White?! The Switchblade has his own beef with the Death Riders, but also with Hangman!
White has a chair, Hangman takes his chair away to run off, so Yuta is saved. But then White clinches Yuta, BLADERUNNER!! Moxley again smirks, perhaps just as impressed with White as he was Hangman. The Death Riders leave Yuta behind, will Yuta understand he is just a pawn? White tells the pawn to tell his king that KING SWITCH is coming for him! Will Jay White soon make The Maniac breathe with the Switchblade?
Thunder Rosa speaks.
La Mera Mera introduces herself and says tonight on Rampage, you will see the best wrestlers of CMLL! Hechicero, Mascara Dorada, Mistico, and many, many more! And, oh, also this girl who thinks she’s part computer. But never mind that. What made Rosa sad is that she keeps seeing people stabbing each other in the back when you think they’re all your friend. Like Mina Shirakawa and Mariah May. And why do they do that? Because they want to “be on top.” They’re hungry for the title. And y’know what? That makes Rosa hungry, too. So after Rosa is done with “Harley-gram,” Rosa will keep a close eye on Mina and Mariah.
Because remember: Rosa was a champion, too! And she beat Mariah May! Winter is Coming, but La Mera Mera NEVER left. Will the Thunder rumble up to whoever survives the cold?
Backstage interview with Hangman Page.
Lexy catches the Cowboy as he makes his way to the locker room, and she brings up that while he got a win on Yuta, his bigger issues seem to be with The Death Riders and Jay White. Hangman gets mad now, and says he doesn’t know who told her there would be an interview, but there’s not. Hangman storms off but Christopher Daniels finds him. The Fallen Angel says he’s been looking for Hangman. Daniels was going to fine Hangman for that shot at Full Gear, but he wants to talk not as an EVP but as a wrestler, as someone who has known Hangman for 15 years. Someone that cares about Hangman!
This thirst for vengeance is not fueling Hangman, it is poisoning him! It is taking him away from his true goals. And this stuff in the past, if Hangman could just let it go, he’d not only be the leader AEW needs, but the man that Hangman should be. Hangman says Daniels does NOT tell Hangman who can be or who he is, because he knows damn well who he is! If what happened to Hangman happened to Daniels, Daniels would feel exactly the same! Any man would! And the last thing Hangman needs right now is advice from an old man like Daniels. Hangman storms off, his anger only growing worse. But will nothing but that AEW World Championship bring him peace?
Mina Shirakawa VS Leila Grey!
We heard both sides of the tragic romance, and the title match is made for December 11th. Will the Fighting Gravure Idol be red hot for Winter is Coming? Or will the Top Flight Attendant look to earn her own trip to the title scene?
The bell rings and the two circle. They feel things out, tie up, and Leila waistlocks. Mina wrenches out, wristlocks, but Leila rolls and wrenches back. Leila headlocks, Mina powers up and brings Leila down. Mina headlocks, then spins around to SOBAT! Mina runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then slides to pose! The fans cheer but Leila is annoyed. Leila KICKS Mina in the back, then runs, but Mina trips her up! Mina KICKS Leila in the back, and the fans cheer! Leila storms up on Mina and throws a forearm! Mina fires back, and now the forearms fly! Mina has the edge, then winds up to ROCK Leila! Leila staggers, Mina whips.
Leila reverses and runs up but Mina dodges in the corner. Mina ROCKS Leila, goes in and up, FLYING CHUCK! Then NECKBREAKER DROP! Cover, ONE!! Leila shows some grit but Mina is still having fun. The fans rally up and Mina runs corner to corner. Leila dodges and Mina hits buckles! Leila SHINING WIZARDS, then brings Mina out for a snap suplex! Roll back and underhook, but Mina fights the butterfly! Mina wrenches out, Leila ducks the kick! Leila shoves, Mina dodges a kick to URAKEN! Cover, TWO! Leila toughs it out again and Mina is frustrated, but the fans rally up again. Mina storms up on Leila and dragon sleepers!
Mina drags Leile up, but Leila fights free of the inverted suplex! Roll-up, TWO! Mina runs, Leila trips, jackknife bridge! TWO, and Mina ROLLING ELBOWS! Leila falls, Mina goes up a corner, but Leila rises at the ropes. Mina leaps to FLYING SLINGBLADE! The fans fire up and Mina has Leila in the dragon sleeper! GLORIOUS DRIVER MINA! Cover, Mina wins!
Winner: Mina Shirakawa, by pinfall
Winter is Coming for AEW, and Mina is coming for Mariah’s head! Will the Glamour’s gold soon belong to the Fighting Gravure Idol?
BREAKING NEWS for next week’s Collision!
Collision returns to its usual time as AEW arrives in Columbus, Ohio, and the WrestleDynasty International Women’s Cup Qualifiers continue! Willow Nightingale and Serena Deeb will battle it out, who moves on to face Jamie Hayter at Collision’s own Winter is Coming?
Backstage interview with Willow Nightingale.
Lexy Nair is with the Babe with the Power, and we saw her help Orange Cassidy against The Death Riders. What is her sights set on now? Well, it is always great to help a friend in need. But now she is going to pivot her focus and saw all that about WrestleDynasty, International Women’s Cup, Tokyo Dome! It just feels right to represent AEW there. And most recently, she was CMLL Women’s Champion. She was the first woman to defend the TBS Championship overseas in Stardom. And of course, she was the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion. So you can already call her the Global Ambassador of AEW, or even an international superstar!
But you cannot call her an International Women’s Cup winner unless she wins these qualifiers. So that might feel right in her heart but it also felt right that Cassidy should be AEW World Champion, and that Ishii should be ROH World Champion. Those things didn’t happen. So after a month away, Willow has to make the dream happen. She’ll put her head down, get back to work, put on this lovely smile, and make the dream happen! Will Willow power her way through The Professor and the Hayter until she’s the one going to the Tokyo Dome?

And the Continental Classic of course continues with perhaps the hardest hitting match-up yet: Brody King VS Claudio Castagnoli! Will the King of Death bring the Swiss Superman back down to Earth?
BREAKING NEWS for Winter is Coming!
Well, win, lose or draw, Claudio and Brody King are going to keep up the heat as Claudio will take on Will Ospreay and Brody will take on Ricochet! The Continental Classic is only heating up, but who will blaze their trail to Worlds End?
AEW Continental Classic, Blue League: Kazuchika Okada VS Daniel Garcia!
Being the second C2, this is a very special match. Not only is it the first time THE Continental Champion competes in the round robin that determines if he stays champion, but he’s facing a fellow champion! Red Death is the NEW TNT Champion after defeating Jack Perry, will he get another big win here tonight? Or will Okada prove he is still The Rainmaker that won G1 after G1?
The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two circle. They knuckle lock, then Okada shoots in for a waistlock. Garcia wrenches and hammerlocks, but Okada slips around to hammerlock back. Garcia headlocks but Okada cranks the arm. Garcia still headlocks, then slips his hand free to have the hold on tight. Okada rolls but Garcia holds on. The fans rally up as Okada stands, and Okada fires body shots. Okada powers up and out, but Garcia RAMS him! Neither man falls and the fans are dueling as Okada brushes himself off. Garcia runs, RAMS Okada again, but Okada still doesn’t fall. Garcia fires a flurry of forearms!
Okada fires up and he UPPERCUTS, but into a backslide! TWO, and Okada storms up. Garcia drop toeholds, Oklahoma Roll, TWO! Trip and ghost pin, TWO!! Okada escapes and backs away while the fans fire up. Okada applauds, he also admits Garcia is good. Okada uses ropes as a defense and the ref has Garcia back off. Okada kicks Garcia, but Garcia rises to fire forearms! Okada just leans into the shots! Then he UPPERCUTS Garcia back down! Collision returns to single picture while the fans rally up. Okada drags Garcia to his feet, scoops and SLAMS, then SENTON FLOPS! Okada tried changing the formula and pays for it! The fans rally again as Garcia drags himself up, only for Okada to CLUB him down! Okada then scoops Garcia to SLAM him again!
Garcia goes out to the apron, and slingshot SENTON, but he has to roll through as Garcia moves! Garcia blocks punches to give punches again and again, then whips. Okada reverses then dodges a lariat! Garcia drags Okada by his legs, steps through, and has the DRAGON TAMER!!
Okada endures, flails, and has the ROPEBREAK quick! Garcia lets go and Okada bails out. The fans rally as Garcia goes out and CLUBS Okada! Garcia makes Okada take a seat in the corner, and then he climbs up to rain down fists! The fans count along, and Garcia goes to nine, puts up the fists, and then hits TEN! The fans cheer and Garcia goes to the far side. Garcia runs back in, flipping those middle fingers before he SHOTGUNS Okada down! The ref checks Okada as he clutches an arm. Time Limit Draw; both men earn 1 point
Chicago cannot believe it! Garcia could not beat Okada in under 20 minutes, but he surely had Okada beat all the same! But Chicago shows respect by applauding both men as they both stand up. Okada offers a handshake, does he mean it this time? Garcia accepts, but then Okada flips him off! Well, of course that’s how it goes. But if this is how hard they had to fight and only got a draw, how much harder must both Okada and Garcia fight to take the Blue League?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision, even for being prerecorded. And for some reason, more matches here than Dynamite, but Mina Shirakawa was of course beating Leila Grey and The Outrunners were of course beating The Iron Savages. Good promo from Mariah May to put her spin on the build to her match with Mina, and even a nod to Mina hanging out with Toni Storm. I would think Mariah wins at Winter is Coming so that Worlds End can perhaps be Mariah VS a returning Toni Storm, who might not even be Timeless but back to rockstar Toni. FTR showing up to hang out with Outrunners was find, but kind of filler if there wasn’t something more than the handshake.
Very good promo from Caster to not only put his own spin on everything that’s happened while also putting himself over as the apparent leader of The Acclaimed. You can bet Bowens & Billy will have something to say on Dynamite right before Caster has his match with Swerve, and all this just adds to Caster ditching Bowens for The Hurt Syndicate. Good promo from Anna Jay, but I feel like that while she clearly wants Mercedes Mone and the TBS Champion, The Vendetta is going to get in the way, maybe striking a business deal with The CEO for protection. After all, Kamille quit so Mone’s gonna need new bodyguards.
Good promo from Rosa to hype up both tonight’s Lucha Libre Rampage, which includes her match with Harley Cameron, while also throwing her name into the hat for the world title match. Maybe we get both Storm and Rosa going for the title at Worlds End, or maybe it’s Rosa while Storm waits it out until 2025. To be fair, Storm could wait because then she can challenge for the title at Grand Slam: Australia. And good promo from Willow to hype up her part in the International Women’s Cup. Willow VS Deeb feels like a toss up, but I’m leaning towards Willow. She should make it to WrestleDynasty for the reasons she gave, especially when you consider Julia Hart is calling out Jamie Hayter with her spooky vignettes.
Good promo from The Kingdom and Kyle O’Reilly, but I’m pretty sure Kyle is not throwing the match for Cole’s sake. Kyle and Cole will probably be the last two in the battle royal, and if Cole is going to win, he’ll have to be vicious to do it because Kyle is so tough. I still feel Cole and MJF should fight for the diamond ring so that the ring becomes the new physical object of their grudge, but they might use Kyle VS MJF to further delay Cole VS MJF so it can happen for Worlds End. I believe that would put their match on the anniversary of when Cole started the “Who is the new Devil of AEW?” story with Face MJF, so it would be a fitting stage for this new chapter.
Very good promo from Callis and Konosuke to hype up the Tokyo Dome shows, which as it stands, we’ll get Konosuke VS Takagi in a Champion VS Champion showdown, no idea if it’ll be for a title, both titles, or just pride between AEW and NJPW. And of course, great stuff in the Continental Classic matches. Ospreay VS Juice was a great opener, and Juice looked good, but of course Ospreay won here to get his first three points. The same goes for Fletcher VS Mortos, as Mortos looked great even though he lost. Then we got an awesome main event, and I love that Okada VS Garcia went to a draw. Neither champion could really lose without owing a title match after the tournament, and this really adds some drama to the standings.
My Score: 8.9/10
