A loss to Andre Chase is not how he expected his NXT in-ring debut to go. But then in walks Joe Gacy & Harland. Mr. Anthony shouldn’t be disappointed, he gave it his all out there. Backstage interview with Pete Dunne.
The Bruiserweight is making his return to action against Draco Anthony, but he has a Steel Cage match with Tony D’Angelo next week for Vengeance Day. Dunne says if there’s one thing we all know about Tony, it’s that he talks way too much. But it’s funny. Since Tony lost to Grimes, he’s gone quiet. Not even a post on social media. Well, it must be hard to tweet after getting his fingers smashed. Dunne promises Tony to finish this where it started: inside that steel cage! But then Draco walks over. Tony may not respect Dunne, but Draco does. It’ll be an honor to share the ring with him tonight. Whatever, mate. Dunne will still snap those fingers. Good luck.
Pete Dunne VS Draco Anthony!
Dunne keeps that cricket bat in hand as a reminder of what he’s willing to do! Will he make an example out of Draco? Or can the newest star redeem himself here tonight?

Dunne spills the contents out in the ring then tells Tony, “You’re gonna need more than a crowbar at Vengeance Day! So how ’bout we take everything we can find, we attach it to that cage, and we have ourselves a WEAPONIZED Steel Cage match?!” Dunne just raised the stakes on Tony D, and he accepts! Will the Bruiserweight break the wise guy once and for all?
Zoey Stark sits with Io Shirai.
Stark says they need to have a serious conversation about the Women’s Dusty Cup. Raquel and Cora are a mismatched team, but guess what? So are Shirai & Stark. Now, Kacy & Kayden have amazing chemistry, Yulisa & Valentina are on the rise- So then why is Stark telling Shirai about this? Because Stark knows her. No she doesn’t! But Stark is sure Shirai wants those NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships, that they lost without being pinned. Okay, that’s true. Stark’s knee is keeping her out, but they need to find someone who is hard hitting, willing to sacrifice, and is just as crazy as Shirai.
Shirai says that’s fair. She’s in. Awesome! And Shirai already knows who to ask. Really? Will she say who it is? Nope. C’mon! It was Stark’s idea, though! Will Shirai get a new partner just as evil and genius as she is?
Wendy Choo finds Dakota Kai going through her shopping spree haul!
Dakota says, “You might have a new wardrobe, but uh, all these clothes won’t but you victories in the ring.” What is Dakota’s problem? And did she take anything for her own?
LA Knight VS Sanga w/ Grayson Waller!
The Million Dollar Megastar wants after the 21st Century Success Story so bad, he’s going to take on Waller’s towering insurance policy head on! Will Sanga deny Knight his shot at Waller? Or will Waller have no choice but to face the consequences of his actions, YEAH?
NXT returns and Sanga makes his entrance, Waller swaggering around behind him. The fans boo, Sanga angrily shouts, “NAMASTE!” and the bell rings. Backstage interview with Duke Hudson.
A man who wants revenge on Duke is one Dante Chen. Duke expected Dante to call him out but uh, haven’t seen him anywhere. Turns out saying it and doing it is completely different. The Singaporean Warrior isn’t as tough as he thinks it is. Duke will say that Dante’s not here for a reason. There’s your scoop. And Duke wishes Indi & Persia some luck in their tag title match next week. That wink surely means something, but will Indi keep Persia from responding?
NXT returns with the NXT Championship Summit.
Wade Barrett is in the ring, already joined by Legado del Fantasma, with Santos Escobar sitting at the table. Wade introduces Santos as the #1 contender to the NXT Championship, and fans are torn between cheers and jeers. Now, welcome his opponent for next week at Vengeance Day, THE NXT Champion, Bron Breakker! Bron makes his way out, title on his shoulder and fans barking in support. Bron takes his seat at the table and Wade thanks them for their time. Wade directs the first question to the champion, Bron. What makes him so sure that next week, Bron will walk out still NXT Champion?
Bron says, “Look, I’ll keep this short and sweet, alright?” He already said he respects Escobar, but he’ll beat Escobar and there’s not a damn thing Escobar can do about it! Fans cheer that on. Bron says they both know how contract signing type deals go, so let’s just flip this table and start fighting right now! Escobar laughs and says he expects nothing less from “smoeone so new, so young, but so naive.” When Escobar says things happen on his time, what he really means is that he’s pulling all the strings, and has everything under control. Bron doesn’t even realize it! So while people like Paul Heyman are calling Bron the future, Escobar is already planning ways to end his career before it starts.
Oh, so Escobar wants to do something? Wait, is that Dolph Ziggler making his way out here?! What is the Show-Off doing in NXT?! No one can believe it, least of all Escobar and Bron! Ziggler takes Wade’s place at the table as fans chant his name. “What a night! NXT on SyFy, what a moment! The NXT Champion and the challenger, ready to throw down right here. What a moment. Until I showed up.” Breakker, congrats. He knows how to use Twitter, he owns a smart phone, Ziggler’s a big fan. Chase the clouds, Ziggler will hang on to his money and titles. Now, it seems Ziggler works Tuesdays now. Paid, thanks to Johnny Ace.
But apparently… Time is money and Ziggler has a plane to catch, so he has one thing to say to Bron. “Who the hell are you?” Who is Bron? He’s the NXT Champion, the reason Ziggler’s even down here! Bron will handle Ziggler after he handles Escobar. Wow, that is an amateur hour move. That’s something Ziggler would do, but Bron’s not him. Ziggler could list his accolades and it’d take up the rest of the show. But Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, Mr. Money in the Bank, Sole Survivor, World Heavyweight Champion. Ziggler is aware that every hundred matches or so, 99 don’t go his way. But we all know what Ziggler can do any day of the week.
Fans chant “Steal The Show!” and Ziggler says, “All those accolades I have, and yet… One title I do not. The NXT Championship.” Fans want a “Triple Threat!” but Ziggler says it doesn’t matter what the fans say. Ziggler doesn’t have to be better than Bron, which he is, or even smarter, which he is. He just has to be in Bron’s head and- TOMMASO CIAMPA makes his way out! “Damn, man. Dolph Ziggler in an NXT ring! Ain’t that something?” Fans are hoping for a Fatal 4 Way as Ciampa copies Ziggler saying, “What a moment.” But Ciampa will be honest here. Ziggler as NXT Champion is a hard pass from Ciampa.
Ciampa pulls up a chair right next to Ziggler, and says, “Listen, kid. Can I call you ‘kid?’ I’ll call you ‘kid.’ I love your spirit, but if you’re gonna walk into my home-” Ciampa stops this right here, asking what the hell is going on! First, Ciampa and Bron play frenemies and now Ciampa wants the title again? And then Ziggler, what is he even doing here? He doesn’t go here! He’s upset over some mean tweets? Now this is what’s happening: once Escobar becomes the NEW NXT Champion, he’ll handle Ziggler, and he’ll handle Ciampa. Ciampa tells homeboy that if he interrupts again, he ain’t making it to Vengeance Day, comprende?!
And as for Bron, Ciampa says once he’s dealt with all this, Ciampa’s next in line. Unless Mr. Ziggler has a problem. Ziggler says Ciampa calls NXT his home. But the same few hundred Florida people come out and clap like seals week in and week out, year after year, no matter what. And yet Ciampa thinks this is his home? When does it end? When does the helmet and the elbow pad come off? Ciampa BOOTS Ziggler down! Then chases him out of the ring to throw hands! They brawl to the ramp, Mendoza, Wilde & Escobar jump Bron! Legado mugs Bron, Ciampa fights Ziggler all the way to the back!
Mendoza & Wilde get Born up, but he fights them off, all while Escobar is gloating! Escobar sees he’s lost his pawns again, and fans are barking! Bron kicks Escobar, reels him in, but Legado return to save Escobar! DOUBLE BUZZSAW! They get Bron back up, DOUBLE SPINEBUSTER through the table! Bron is down, and Escobar says, “Everything happens on my time. And this? This is my time! See you next week, young champion.” The message was sent, but it had to be done by Escobar’s henchmen. Will Escobar be able to win that title when he has to do it himself?
Kay Lee Ray speaks.
“Mandy, you could’ve saved yourself a lot of trouble just giving me the match when I asked. But now I’m gonna make you suffer. Don’t worry, this’ll all be finished when I take my NXT Women’s Championship. I’ll see you in a little bit.” Is the Scary Queen of Scots only going to get scarier tonight?
Sanga and Waller head out.
Waller tells NXT Media that they saw what happened. Knight showed his true colors! He got lucky, but he’s a loser because he broke the restraining order. And Vengeance Day is fitting, because Waller is gonna get his vengeance. So, is that a match? NO! Knight’s getting arrested! In front of the entire world. He’s going to jail, YEAH! Karma is a BITCH.

But is Melo ready to defend his title? C’mon, Josh. Cameron Grimes stepped up, he’s gonna get stepped on. Trick isn’t so sure. He’s been checking Twitter, and people think Grimes stands a chance. What? No way! Not “To the Moon” guy. The one guy in the corner thinks Grimes has a chance. Who’s friend is this? Trick thought he was with Melo. But Melo’s going to check Grimes’ wiki. NXT hears from Nikkita Lyons.
“You hear the phrase all the time, ‘Jack of all trades but a master of none.'” That doesn’t apply to her. She can sing and kick ass. Boxing, martial arts, nun chucks, and of course, wrestling. Life on the road made her grow up quick. She had to learn how to defend herself. Eventually, she was the one picking fights cuz she knew she could finish them. You could look at her and make assumptions, but you come at her with weak ass shit, watch out for this Lyons’ roar. Will Nikkita Lyons rock NXT when she arrives?
Brooks Jensen talks with Josh Briggs.
Brooks isn’t sure he can do this. Briggs tells him to rip the bandage off and ask Kayden out. She’s right over there. Brooks almost chickens out but Briggs makes him move. Brooks says hey, Kayden gives him a hug. Brooks asks them if they could all hang out for Valentine’s Day. Yeah, they’re always such fun. Maybe they can do something? More the merrier. See you then! Briggs can take Kacy somewhere, Brooks gets alone time with Kayden. The perfect plan! Here, here’s some money.
Uh, this is just $8, and kinda wet… Movies are like $20 apiece now. Briggs gives Brooks a push and Brooks says he’s not made of money. Can he at least figure out how to talk to Kayden? Or will he crash ‘n’ burn worse than ever?

Lee rallies with big forearms and uppercuts! Lee fires off a strike fest, snapmares Edris and basement dropkicks him! Fans fire up as Lee grits his teeth and Edris goes to a corner. Malik & Edris came so close, but Lee & Carter keep their own dream alive! Will MSK be the first team to go back-to-back in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic?
The Creed Brothers return for a face-to-face with MSK. Both teams are ready, but who takes history into their own hands?
NXT hears from Cameron Grimes.
“I know I come from humble beginnings. My time in NXT has been a roller coaster ride. No one has taken more body blows, had to adapt, and has grown more in NXT more than me. But through everything, I came out the other side a self-made man.” The big house, the fancy cars, and let’s not forget all that money. He has everything but what he got in the business for. He’d trade it all away and come back to the trailer park if it meant he’d walk through the front door to see a title on the mantle. Next week is the chance. Melo, everyone knows you’re on the fast track. But there are two ways a career can go in this business.
2022 is still gonna be Grimes’ year. The rocket boosters are ready, the fuel tanks are filled, and the coordinates are placed. Grimes has a one way ticket TO~ THE~ MOON~! Will the Carolina Cash Money Caveman finally achieve liftoff here in NXT?
Dakota Kai mutters to herself backstage.
She needs help, and Wendy Choo finds her. “Not as easy as it looks, is it?” Wendy walks away, but will Dakota’s voices in her head give her ideas of how to get back up?
NXT Women’s Championship: Mandy Rose VS Kay Lee Ray!
Toxic Attraction’s leader may have glossed over some of the details, but it is true that she found a way to win and to keep this title around her waist. But the Scary Queen of Scots set a record for longest reigning women’s champion in the modern era! Will KLR get started on her second Forever Champion Era? Or does Mandy find yet another way to win and keep this title?
As Mandy makes her way to gorilla with Gigi & Jacy, Indi & Persia jump them from behind! Talk about vengeance, Persia & Indi are making sure Mandy doesn’t have her minions ringside! Referees rush back in, they tell Mandy she has to have her match. Mandy doesn’t want to leave her team behind but she has no choice! The entrances are made, as are the introductions, and the belt is raised. We see if Mandy can focus after all that’s happened, or if KLR makes history at her expense!
The bell rings, KLR dodges Mandy to SLAP her! And then CHOP her! And then CHOP and CHOP and snapmare. Mandy gets up but KLR CHOPS her again. KLR hooks the arms but Mandy fights free to SLAP back! Both women are seething, Mandy hits a THESZ PRESS! Mandy fires off fast hands but KLR gets away. Mandy CLUBS KLR, drags her up, but KLR breaks free to CLOBBER Mandy! KLR drags Mandy up, ROCKS her with a forearm, and then again! KLR keeps on Mandy with more forearms, then a TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO! KLR stalks Mandy to a corner, stomps her, then KLR goes up to the top.
Fans rally and duel, but Mandy bails out. KLR hops down, then builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit near the announce desk! KLR grins and she drags Mandy back up. KLR puts Mandy in, fans love “NXT! NXT!” as KLR covers. TWO, but KLR keeps on Mandy. KLR whips Mandy to a corner, ROCKS her with a forearm, then whips her back in. Mandy dodges this time, blocks a kick and throws KLR back against the buckles! Mandy stomps KLR, dribbles her off the buckles, but lets off as the ref counts 4. Mandy stalks KLR now, throws more forearms and body shots, then whips KLR to ropes. KLR reverses, Mandy gets under and SPINEBUSTERS! High stack, TWO!
Mandy keeps on KLR with body scissors. KLR endures as Mandy squeezes. McKenzie has an update on what happened in the back while Mandy CLUBS KLR over and over. Toxic Attraction, as well as Indi & Persia, were escorted out of the building, neither team will be a factor ringside. KLR bridges back to a cover, TWO and she’s free of the body scissors. KLR DECKS Mandy, but Mandy pops her to a cover! TWO, KLR prawn holds, TWO as Mandy bridges. Mandy spins, backslides, TWO! Mandy KNEES KLR low, reels her in and hits an INVERTED GUT WRENCH! Cover, TWO!
Mandy grows frustrated but fans continue to rally and duel. Mandy stalks KLR to ropes, talks trash then dribbles KLR off the mat! Mandy CLUBS KLR, drags her back up, then hooks her up for a cobra twist. Mandy drives elbows into KLR’s ribs but KLR endures. KLR fights as fans rally and duel. KLR hip tosses free! Mandy runs into back elbows, then misses in the corner. KLR CLOBBERS Mandy, dropkicks her to the corner, then runs in to ROCK her with a forearm! KLR GAMANGIRIS, Mandy flops down! KLR goes back up top, MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! KLR tries again, TWO! KLR gets a KOJI KLUTCH!
Mandy endures, fights up, makes it a cover, TWO! KLR lets Mandy free, but she spins Mandy around and hooks the arms! Gory Especial, but Mandy SUNSET BOMBS! Cover, TWO! Mandy is beside herself, and she drags KLR up by her hair. Mandy reels KLR in, underhooks the arms, but KLR fights! KLR wrenches out, and suplexes for the GOURD BUSTER! KLR waits for Mandy to get up, but Mandy deflects superkick to roll up! TWO!! KLR SUPERKICKS Mandy down! KLR covers, TWO! Mandy is still in this, but KLR goes to a corner. Fans rally up, KLR climbs again, but Jacy and Gigi show up after all!?
Jacy distracts the ref, Gigi shoves KLR down! Mandy runs in, KNEE FROM A ROSE!! Cover, Mandy wins!
Winner: Mandy Rose, by pinfall (still NXT Women’s Champion)
Once again, Mandy wins because someone else did the work! Jacy gets KLR’s bat, threatens the ref into backing off, and then Gigi drags KLR up. Jacy hands the bat to Mandy, Mandy says KLR’s gonna get it now. But here comes Io Shirai! The Evil Genius DECKS Jacy, dodges Mandy and SHOTEIS! FLAPJACK for Gigi! Jacy returns, Shirai blocks the kick to send it into Gigi! SHOTEI for Jacy! 619 for Gigi! Fans fire up, Shirai springboards, missile dropkick to Gigi & Jacy! Mandy returns to attack Shirai, but KLR gets Mandy up, K L R BOMB!!
Toxic Attraction goes into retreat as KLR & Shirai stand tall! Is this the kindred spirit Shirai talked about? Is Toxic Attraction running out of time as champions?
My Thoughts:
A very good episode here, especially as a go-home to Vengeance Day next week. Great Dusty Cup matches here tonight. Creed Brothers VS GYV got the fans fired up for this episode, and I should’ve figured Creed Brothers would win. GYV have really only ever been jobbers to the stars since moving over to NXT prime, and it seems NXT 2.0 is making the Creed Brothers into stars. MSK VS Malik & Edris was also really good, but I did figure MSK would win. Pitting MSK making history against Creed Brothers as rising stars is definitely how they were going to book this, and therefore makes the match hard to call. As a fan, I’m voting for MSK.
Amari Miller sticking to whoever had the credit card was a pretty good character bit, as was Wendy just trashing the card since it got canceled. Tiffany probably should’ve known that, though, cuz who would’ve canceled the card other than Daddy Stratton? Tiffany VS Wendy was a good match, but it was quite the surprise that Tiffany won. I suppose Wendy losing does set up things with Dakota Kai in what I hope is a rivalry, not a dysfunctional team. Dakota and Sarray have a great match, Sarray gets a great win, and Sarray is getting back on that slow burn to the singles title.
Cora, Raquel, Yulisa and Valentina have a good promo segment, though I suppose the punchline of “What’d she call Cora?” is why there were no subtitles. Cuz they have those at the ready for Imperium instantly, so they could have it for this promo here. Gacy & Harland look to be recruiting, which makes sense to me. Not sure if Draco Anthony is the guy, but maybe Draco becomes their next feud. Draco gives Dunne a real good match, but Dunne wins and now gives us NXT’s version of the Ambrose Asylum with Tony D’Angelo. Honestly, a Street Fight or something like that should’ve just been how they hyped this to begin with, but I suppose this is fine.
We got a good vignette from Nikkita Lyons, she seems pretty comfortable already in this character. Duke Hudson is stirring up trouble with Indi & Persia, so that’s a good way of using the story blending to its fullest. Melo & Trick have a good on-location promo, as does Grimes. Their title match is going to be awesome stuff, but I have a feeling Melo wins and we could be seeing Grimes moving up to RawDown at some point. The story of Brooks’ romantic struggles continues, but I don’t know where they’re going with it. I don’t see it being Brooks “getting the girl,” but I don’t like the idea of another guy coming in and swooping Kayden up. That’d mean that guy fights Brooks and it just feels cliché.
Knight VS Sanga was good, and I like that Waller cost Sanga this match with that buckle pad removal. But as I figured, Waller is not giving Knight a match, he’s just doubling down on his retraining order. Knight already feels like a mishmash of The Rock, Hogan and Stone Cold, seems he’s gonna get that Stone Cold treatment of being arrested on TV. That Championship Summit was great stuff, especially considering the surprise appearance of Dolph Ziggler. Fans were eager for more than just 1v1, but Triple Threats and Fatal 4 Ways are too big for just Vengeance Day. Ciampa VS Ziggler is going to be a great match, as will Bron VS Escobar next week.
And of course, all the things Toxic Attraction was up to tonight were pretty well done. Gigi & Jacy have a good promo with Indi & Persia, I like that Indi & Persia did their best to keep Toxic Attraction from helping Mandy. Mandy and KLR have good promos to hype up the main event, and then the main event was really good stuff, even with the overbooked finish. I thought Shirai was going to choose Sarray as her partner, but something makes sense about Shirai & KLR. They’ve been teaming with each other on and off since WarGames, I have a feeling they’re going to take the Women’s Dusty Cup to then go after Gigi & Jacy and those tag titles.
KLR making history as being the first NXT UK Women’s Champion to become NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion would be a great distinction for her, but I still kinda hope she gets that singles title. KLR becoming NXT’s first Women’s Triple Crown would be great for her, as well as for the NXT 2.0 Era. If the 2.0 Era is the one that gives us a stand alone achievement like that, I think it’ll be able to shrug off a lot of the criticisms fans have had for it.
My Score: 8.8/10

Andrew’s TNA LIVE! iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 2.20.2025
So the first live episode got fairly positive praise from everyone; will this continue the trend?

Filming at Full Sail seems to have set the stage nicely this week! Going into a Live episode we got Moose and The Hardy Boyz on NXT, as well as Jordynne Grace’s involvement with Steph and Giulia giving a little shine to TNA happenings since she’s newly WWE.
This episode should be interesting, we finally see Lei Ying Lee (fka Xia Li) back in action, Rascalz take on Tyson and Tyriek, Tessa should be seeing some action as well…so generally interesting happenings for the second Live iMPACT! of 2025. Let’s see how this one goes down!
No matter where @ManceWarner and @stephdelander go, @TheSamiCallihan WILL FIND THEM!

Ratings:
- Tyson & Tyriek w/Wes Lee vs The Rascalz w/Ace Austin: Rascalz win via Meteora/Swanton Combo – ***
- Lei Ying Lee vs Rosemary: Lei wins via Thunderstruck – **
- NoDQ Match: Leon Slater vs JDC: Dango wins via The System help – ** 3/4
- Masha Slamovich vs Mila Moore: Masha wins via Requiem – N/A
- Elijah & Joe Hendry vs The Colons: Elijah wins via Tombstone Piledriver – *** 1/4
Results:
Oh yeah, and another Hendry concert is…cut off by a commercial, LOLTNA. First Hendry is cut off by AXSTV’s new Anime Hour bumper, and now Primo and Epico are showing up in TNA. I definitely didn’t have this on my BINGO card. The crowd starts chanting “Where’s Carlito”, which they do acknowledge and play off of well. Oh they’re using their shoot names of Orlando and Eddie now…but before they attack the lights go out and we get another guitar strum! ELIAH/ELIAS/EZEKIEL/EBENERZER/EMERY/EL VAGABUNDO – shows up to back up Hendry. Okay I can apologize away the redundant concert since it played into an Elijah debut. The crowd is immediately popping and chanting “This is Awesome” 10 minutes into the show.
Tyson & Tyriek w/Wes Lee vs The Rascalz w/Ace Austin
Treehouse bros take it to the bigger men quickly, a few fast dives, a little MCMG style tandem strikes, Tyson fires and tries to take them out but they Low Bridge him. Tyriek comes in and they try similar things but Tyriek manhandles them both and throws them out of the ring, Trey is the first one back up and Tyriek and Tyson take his damn head off with his Corkscrew Running Euro Upper. Trey finally manages to flip out of the manhandle, tags in Wentz and Wentz goes for the hot and spicy cleaning house spot. Corner to Corner Knee Lifts for both big men, a Rolling Snapmare, into a Superkick for Tyson and Standing Shoot Star on Tyriek but only for two because Wes feints like he’s going to interfere.
Tyson and Tyriek pull off a tandem Assisted Backdrop Driver, but Wentz breaks it up, Tyson gets knocked out, Wentz hits the Tornillo, Wes tries to interfere again after Trey gets perched on the corner buckle but Ace runs around and trips Wes at the last second causing him to faceplant on the apron, Trey hits the Meteora, Wentz hits a Swanton from the other side of the ring and Trey gets the pinfall victory.
It was fast paced, all gas no brakes, but it didn’t overstay its welcome, so it was pretty fun all things considered.
After the match Wes grabs a mic, complains a little but challenges them to a 6 man match as Sacrifice. So we’re THAT’S where we’re getting the expected 3v3.
Fir$t Cla$$ comes out with an entourage of hot chicks and probably influencers or something. The “First Class Penthouse” , Gabby AF, Mafiosa Valentina, and Carolina are apparently known in their own way. Gabby I know was the awful one who did something for Impact a last year and sucked, but she’s part of the Busted Open Network I believe so that’s why she’s around. Two of them look like Noelle Foley and Frank the Clown…oh they actually are. Look at that. I do love KC Navarro as the Hype Man, they have this whole set up of AJ being mad that they haven’t gotten more Tag Title shots, so TNA placated him with his own Piper’s Pit and he’s *pregnant pause* totally happy with that. He says he loved Piper and hated Hogan before it was cool.
This is actually quality content and AJ is cutting a nice promo in this segment. They introduce their first guest, the greatest performer in TNA history, many whole say he’s Phenomenal with a whole lot of style….it’s A-J-Francis.
.@AJFrancis410 is GOING OFF!

Lei Ying Lee vs Rosemary
Things were slow until Rosemary took her into a corner quickly, hit the Upside Down, and we get a lot of Lei trying to avoid Rosemary’s offense. Rosemary goes for a Spear in the corner and Lei forward rolls, starts connecting with a bunch of right hands, backs Rosemary into the corner, goes for 10 Count Punches, pulls her out, Airplane Spin TKO for only a two count. Rosemary tries As Above So Below, Lei shrugs it off, Rosemary tries to go after Lei anyway and eats Thunderstruck! Lei Ying Lee wins!
After the match Rosemary catches Lei on the ramp and hits the Green mist in the eyes. Match was far too short and so many of Lei’s set up moves look better than her finish. We’ve seen Kofi Kingston do it for years so it’s not bad, just the current Knockouts Division are awful and don’t take the move well.
Eric Young and the jabronis come out, EY cuts a very basic power crazed psycho kind of promo, gets the “What” chants from the crowds. EY is trying to recruit Maclin even though Maclin made his line in the sand last week. EY tries to spin it as maybe he took out Josh FOR Maclin instead of in spite of his trust. This really doesn’t seem interesting at all, but that’s probably because I hate the two Jabronis EY is with.
NoDQ Match: Leon Slater vs JDC
I really don’t have any interest in Slater. He’s got no personality beyond “flippy guy with a British accent”.
Dango immediately powders, grabs a chair and goes to swing on him but misses. So Leon is making JDC look dumb by dodging the post chop, using the chair to shield himself from a punch by JDC, and then clapping Dango’s fingers between the chair. So typical System match, look inept for the first few minutes, then take advantage of something to take over. Oh look, Leon takes too long setting up the table, Dango gets in a few pot shots, tries to whip him into the table but Leon leaps over it, and then leaps back over to clobber Dango. Dango is still trying to recover so Leon hits his over the corner post con hilo, and the crowd appreciates it but I’m not interested. Leon panders to the crowd after the big spot and then eats an X-Plex into the chair from Dango.
JDC throws Leon back in, goes for a pinfall that’s only a two and we cut to a commercial. Coming out of the commercial JDC is in control with a Kendo Stick until he isn’t, Leon counters and takes the keno stick, brutalizes Dango a few times then comes off the ropes with the kendo shot for 2. Leon goes for another table, and again, at least the crowd is receptive to this match. Leon sets it up, looks for something off the apron but Dango stops him first until he eats a dropkick to fall onto the table, Leon hits the Swanton 450 through the table on the outside. Does it look cool? Sure. Do I care about dumbass moves? Nope.
Oh thankfully the rest of The System comes out to stop the pinfall, Shield Bomb Leon through the first table, and roll him back in for Dango to win.
The Hardy Boyz come out to try and make the save, but the numbers are against them, so Oba Femi’s music hits! Oba cleans house but doesn’t get his hands on Moose, so they’re at least building the eventual clash between Moose and Oba.
The crowd starts a “Tessa, we comin for you” chant before she even starts talking. Tessa is actually playing off the crowd well, Santino’s music hits and Tessa thinks he’ll help her out with the crowd and Santino calls bullshit basically. Santino says if Tessa doesn’t wrestle next week, she’s fired and Masha’s music hits. Masha decides to step in for Tessa’s enhancement talent match.
Masha Slamovich vs Mila Moore
Jobber tries to attack Masha early but Masha stops her, rocks her and Requiem ends the match.
Masha stares down Tessa, and then Cora Jade attacks from behind and hits Jaded.
Ryan Nemeth comes out to his Abyss music remix. What will Mokuba say today? “MYYYY BIIIGG BBRROOOOTTHHHEEEEER” he repeats at least 4 times and it’s hilariously cringe. He announces that Nic will return at Sacrifice, he literally just came out to give a PSA.
Elijah & Joe Hendry vs The Colons
Hendry starts with Eddie, after a brief tie up it seems like Hendry reads the room and points at Elijah and the crowd wants him in. So Joe tags in Elijah, a little back and forth, Shoulder Tackle from Elijah, Rope Walk with Elijah lays out Eddie and a tag to Joe allows for a quick tandem knockdown, but Eddie powders as the Walking and Talking Duo hold the ring going into the final commercial break.
We come back and Hendry is bouncing Orlando off the ropes as he return a strike, but Orlando is obviously losing, eats a Euro Upper, and then gets walked around in the Stalling Suplex for posterity. Eddie tries a sneak attack but gets caught and Sack of Shit, into Kip Up, turn and then Orlando with the ambush! A few quick short cuts and an Irish Whip/Dropkick combo gives the Colons a near fall. Hendry does get locomotion variation cradles, but eats a Dropkick to stop the attempt at momentum. Orlando stays on Joe, but Joe finally starts to fire up as the crowd starts to get behind him. Euro Uppers make some space, but a Snapmare says no.
Eddie gets tagged in and a quick Leg Sweep into a Front Chancery keeps Eddie in control. As Joe tries to get back up, Eddie turns it into a Guillotine, but finally the Suplex counter connects for Hendry! Simultaneous tags! Elijah bulls over Orlando, catches a Leap Frogging Orlando with the Manhattan Drop as Orlando retreats to a corner, Stinger Splash into Spinebuster for two. Elijah tries to keep up the attacks but Orlando finds a few ways to make space, launches himself from the middle rope and eats the Jumping Knee! Eddie breaks up the pinfall, Hendry takes Eddie out and Elijah hits the Tombstone Piledriver for the win!
Overall Score: 6/10
Well there were more live hiccups than the first episode, and this felt both more epic and less epic at the same time. Elijah and the Colons debuting was a nice way to kick things off, Oba Femi showing up for the save was fantastic. There were a few decent matches, but also a lot of really short and rushed matches. Tessa played off the crowd well, but Masha really is useless on the mic. Lei Ying Lee needs to framed stronger, her matches have done nothing to show off her ability. It just proves that the Knockouts don’t know how to sell a kick to the head because they all take it in the shoulder and fall in corny ways.
Viva La Sam could be something fun if the next 3 weeks are just hand cam footage of him being like “I’m Sami Callihan and I’m gonna kick Mance Warner’s ass”, Elegance Clique getting the rematch with a stipulation is nice to see and while I like Fir$t Cla$$, that segment went a little long for a cornball swerve payoff. It’s one thing to placate the Influencer squad especially when we’ve seen Logan Paul and Ishowspeed do so well in WWE…but these are like Z Tier Influencers that no one cares about. These kind of dorks stream on Kick because they aren’t relevant enough for Twitch, not because they chose Kick over it.
So yeah, the low lights were pretty low, and the highs were a little fleeting, but at least they were pretty fun. Not a bad show, just clunky with noticeable issues and Masha shouldn’t be allowed to speak English anymore. She’s such a charisma vacuum when she’s not rambling in Russian.

Fuego Del Sol VS Wheeler Yuta!
Lucha night opens with a hot start as the Fire of the Sun returns to ROH, but so does The Decoder! Will Fuego Del Sol get one up on a former ROH Pure Champion turned current AEW World Trios Champion? Or will Yuta do the Death Riders proud in Houston?
Houston cheers on the Texas star, and Fuego offers the Code of Honor. Yuta reaches out, but then SLAPS Fuego! The fans boo and the bell rings, Yuta slips around to CLUB Fuego down! Yuta mocks the fans cheering on Fuego, then scoops him for a SLAM and SENTON! The fans boo but Yuta brings Fuego up. FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO, but Yuta holds onto the leg! Yuta taunts Fuego, but Fuego kicks at him! Yuta lets go and the fans rally up. Yuta runs up, Fuego ELBOWS him away, then goes up, up and FLYING RANAS! The fans fire up as Fuego then DROPKICKS Yuta down!
Yuta staggers up, Fuego SLAPS him! But Yuta LARIATS in return! The fans boo but Yuta rains down fists! And then stops, to rain down more fists! The fans boo but Yuta soaks that up while he “kicks dirt” on Fuego. Yuta stands Fuego up, CHOPS him, then has him in a corner. Yuta CHOPS Fuego again, the fans boo, but Yuta whips corner to corner hard! Fuego staggers forward, Yuta says they ain’t done yet. Yuta whips Fuego to the corner again, then FLAPJACKS on the rebound! Yuta adds a basement DROPKICK! The fans boo but Yuta soaks up heat. Yuta hits a spinning toehold, then has a DEATHLOCK!
Fuego endures and Yuta mockingly asks if he’ll give up. Fuego refuses to give in, and he SLAPS Yuta! So Yuta bridges and puts on more pressure! Yuta shows off by not even using his hands, but Fuego fights his way to the ROPEBREAK! Yuta lets go at 4, and he reminds the ref, “I have ’til five!” The fans boo Yuta parodying Bryan Danielson, then Yuta kicks Fuego around. Yuta eggs Fuego on, so Fuego ROCKS him! And ROCKS him! And again, and again, and again! But Yuta gets under the big haymaker! Yuta back suplexes, but Fuego lands out! Fuego dodges Yuta to then springboard QUEBRADA! Down goes Yuta!
The fans fire up as Fuego kips up and SUPERKICKS! Yuta sputters, Fuego runs and STEP-UP DOUBLE STOMPS! The fans fire up again as Fuego climbs a corner! Yuta stands, Fuego MISSILE- NO, Yuta gets under and comes back, BUSAIKU KNEE! Cover, Yuta wins!
Winner: Wheeler Yuta, by pinfall
Another thing he took from The American Dragon is that big knee, and Yuta takes the victory. Yuta sits Fuego up, and thinks about Hammer ‘n’ Anvil elbows, but he decides not to. Because he gets an even more sadistic idea! Yuta looks under the ring, and he brings out a steel chain! Yuta threatens the ref, then he goes to Fuego! The fans boo but Yuta hooks Fuego’s legs up, then uses the chain to go up, up and away, ROMERO SPECIAL!! Yuta taunts Fuego but Fuego is coughing up blood! Backstage interview with Jacked Jameson.
Lexy Nair is with the former Iron Savage, and he’s counting his abs. She brings us back to a few weeks ago when he walked up to Griff Garrison, Preston Vance & Cole Karter in hopes of forming a group with them. Then in Jacksonville, Jameson actually interfered in their match on their behalf. The question is, what’s going on here? Jameson says those are his boys! His guys! His dudes! Jameson went out there, helped them, it was huge! It was awesome! Speaking of, the boys walk in! Vance tells Jameson that they’ve heard his offer, they loved what he did in Jacksonville, and tonight is a big match and… They’d love if he was a part of it.
So then, it’s official! They got him some Frat House gear! But first… he has to do something. Yeah, sure! Anything! Vance, Griff & Karter pour all of their drinks into one red Solo cup, and Jameson asks what’s in it. The boys say don’t worry about it. Jameson says don’t have to tell him twice. He chugs the concoction, and he is PUMPED! The Frat House is now four men strong, and Jameson says after tonight, party at the Frat House! Yes, it’s SMART MARK himself! Wait, seriously? Sterling takes the mic to say that’s right, he is still here to make sure that the losers of Texas can take part in their winning cheer. Will Sammy & Dustin just have to take the fight to MXM to get their stolen property back?
My Thoughts:
A very good ROH clocking in at an hour and 21 minutes, it feels like they’ve almost got this mastered for a good cable TV runtime. Though at the same time, we still had filler in Gates of Agony squashing Exodus & Josiah, and then both women’s matches were fairly quick. Billie squashing Hyan was in part to serve story as we did see Athena tell Billie to take things seriously, and then Billie takes her frustrations out on Hyan. Rachael VS Abadon could’ve been a little longer to build them both up in the standings, but Abadon winning makes sense as Abadon’s gotten closer to titles than Rachael has. And good promo from Velvet, but I’m not sure why we’re waiting so long to get to her and Leyla’s rematch.
Additionally, while that 12 Man Tag was some fun, just smashing together multiple teams for that was bordering on filler. Good to see The Von Erichs back given ROH was in Texas. And between The Von Erichs being in Texas and Sterling being introduced as one of the competitors, it was a given The Von Erichs and their team would win. Though it did work that The Outrunners got the finish, they’re the team riding high right now. I will say it’s good that “The Frat House” is a faction, but like, can’t the name have just be The Fraternity? Or like, Greek letters that make a fraternity name, but also is a funny pun when you boil it down to letters.
But of course, great stuff throughout the night involving luchadores. Fuego Del Sol VS Yuta was a very good opening match, but I figured Yuta would win that. Him going the extra mile with that steel chain was rather vicious, I feel like Fuego should want payback, teaming with some other AEW wrestlers who have beef with the Death Riders. Komander VS Lee was a very good ROH TV Championship match, but given this wasn’t the main event, I figured Komander would retain. Maybe EJ gets his shot next?
And then a very good Six Man main event. The lucha rules made it constant motion because there was no need for tags, and apparently the ref didn’t need to count when Hechi’s team was in there together. MXM getting involved makes sense, as they’re still not happy just possessing the tag title. They screwed Sammy over, Hechi’s team wins, but then Sammy’s side stands tall over MXM. I would think we do get Sons of Texas VS MXM one more time, who knows how that goes, but it’ll be a lot of fun either way.
My Score: 8.6/10
