PLAY BY PLAY

The Bloodline heads to the ring!

The Tribal Chief leads the way as he, Paul Heyman and The Usos walk out on stage. They raise the belts and the pyro goes off. They then continue down the ramp, Heyman holding up the Universal Championship as a banner. They step through the ropes and raise the belts again for more pyro. Heyman then holds the belts for Roman Reigns before handing over the mic. “Grand Rapids! ACKNOWLEDGE ME!” Fans seem pretty torn, but Roman says tonight is special. Tonight, they’re not acknowledging the Tribal Chief, but they’re acknowledging his cousins, the Usos. That means tonight, they acknowledge the Bloodline!

“Wise Man.” “Yes, My Tribal Chief.” “Tell them why.” “Yes, sir. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the single biggest night in the history of tag team wrestling. You see, what we have on the Island of Relevancy is the moment of truth. ROman Reign sis the GOAT, the Undisputed Greatest of All Time. You can take your Bruno Sammartinos, you can take your Hulk Hogans, you can take your Stone Cold Steve Austins, you can take your Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnsons, you can take your Brrrock Lesnars, you can take your John Cenas, you can stack them all up and that’s what would happen if they all stepped into the ring at the same time with the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. They would be stacked up, smashed and pinned by the Undisputed GOAT, the Greatest of All Time, Roman… Reigns!

“And while you sit there with your insecure cheers, here’s something you have to acknowledge. Each and every single night of his life, Roman Reigns defends the position of being the Greatest of All Time. Because that’s what it takes to be the Tribal Chief on the Island of Relevancy! So what does it take for the Usos to be the Greatest Tag Team of All Time? And I say that with a lot of nervousness in my voice, because I stand in the ring with the descendants, the direct descendants, of Afa & Sika. So to claim Greatest Tag Team of All Time would be pretty disrespectful if you don’t do something that not even Afa & Sika, the Wild Samoans, every accomplished.

“What is that accomplishments? Unifying the tag team titles! Don’t just be the longest reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions of all time, be the ONLY tag team ever, EVER, to be SmackDown Tag Team Champions and Raw Tag Team Champions at the very same time. And to do so, the Usos have to defeat Randy Orton & Riddle, RKBRO.” Fans cheer for Orton & Riddle and Heyman will give credit where it is due. They’re the best tag team on Raw, and perhaps the best team in the history of Raw. But the Usos have to earn their spot, have to earn relevancy, and not be last week’s news.

It is not enough to be cousins with the Tribal Chief. “So tonight, ladies and gentlemen, the Usos will come home the Undisputed Tag Team Champions, or they won’t come home to the Island of Relevancy at all. Tonight, the Usos will BEAT RKBRO. Tonight, the Usos will become the Greatest Tag Team of All Time! Tonight, the Usos will be the UNDISPUTED Tag Team Champions of the World! And that’s not just a prediction… That, ladies and gentlemen, is a spoiler.” Roman wants the mic back and Heyman hands the mic over. Roman adds, “USOS! Twins. You know what I want. And I expect you to deliver. The only reason I have these expectations is because I love you.”

The Usos and Roman hug it out, and fans boo. Will Jimmy & Jey do their entire family proud when they take down the Viper & the Stallion and take home both sets of tag titles?

Sami Zayn applauds all this backstage.

The “locker room leader” is still wearing a Bloodline shirt as he looks to do them proud as their proxy. But will he only end up embarrassing himself in tonight’s big rematch?

Sami Zayn VS Shinsuke Nakamura!

The King of Strong Style gives the Bloodline a look as he makes his entrance and they make their exit. Will the King of Strong Style get even with “The Table’s Ass” to then take aim at the Head?

SmackDown returns and Sami makes his entrance. The bell rings, Nakamura and Sami circle and tie up. Sami waistlocks, headlocks, and grinds the hold. Nakamura power sup and out, but Sami runs him over! Cover, ONE, but Sami clamps on a chinlock. Nakamura fights up, Sami shifts to get the arm. Sami wrenches, wristlocks, but Nakamura rolls, kips up and wrenches to cartwheel and WRING Sami out! Fans fire up as Nakamura hammerlocks then headlocks. Sami powers out, Nakamura runs him over now! Fans rally, things speed up, Nakamura fakes Sami out and KICKS him down!

Sami gets up but Nakamura KICKS and KICKS and KICKS! Sami blocks but Nakamura ENZIGURIS! Nakamura has Sami in a corner now, for GOOD VIBRATIONS~! The ref counts, Nakamura lets off and brings Sami up. Nakamura snapmares and drops a knee! Cover, TWO! Nakamura stalks Sami to ropes, brings him up and throws a knee. Nakamura whips Sami but Sami reverses to whip and YANK Nakamura by his hair! Fans boo but Sami rains down fists on Nakamura! Sami lets off the ground ‘n’ pound and he brings Nakamura up. Sami ROCKS Nakamura with a haymaker, then he whips Nakamura to ropes for a LARIAT! Cover, TWO!

Sami keeps on Nakamura and puts him on the ropes. Sami chokes Nakamura by digging his knees in! The ref counts, Sami lets off at 4, and Sami drags Nakamura to a drop zone. Sami goes up the corner, Nakamura fires off hands! Nakamura climbs up after Sami, fans fire up, but Sami fights back with body shots. Nakamura gives body shots, but Sami CLUBS Nakamura with elbows! Nakamura holds on but Sami scrapes him off the ropes. Sami adjusts, but Nakamura traps him up! Sami lands on his great liberator and falls to the mat! Nakamura aims, runs in, but is sent into the corner! Nakamura elbows Sami away, then hops up the corner.

Sami grabs a leg and TOSSES Nakamura to the floor! Sami grins and fans boo as Nakamura crashes and burns, and SmackDown goes to break.

SmackDown returns and Sami clubs away on Nakamura with crossface forearms and even elbows! Fans rally but Sami wraps on a chinlock. Nakamura endures, Grand Rapids is fired up for Nakamura but Sami throws knees. Sami whips, Nakamura ducks and dodges then DYNAMIC DROPKICKS! Fans fire up while both men are down! Sami and Nakamura slowly rise, Nakamura fires off a strike fest! Knee and AX KICK! Nakamura runs to SHOTGUN! Sami staggers to a corner, Nakamura runs in but he blocks boots. Nakamura puts Sami in ropes, ROUNDHOUSE and SLIDING GERMAN! Fans fire up as Nakamura climbs up!

Sami stands, Nakamura aims, FLYING KNEE! Cover, TWO! Sami survives and Nakamura is shocked! Fans fire up as Nakamura brings Sami up. Sami swings, Nakamura ducks, Sami ducks the roundhouse but not the WHEEL KICK! Sami flounders to a corner and fans fire up again. Nakamura aims from a corner, “YAO~!” But Sami runs out of the ring! Just like last time. Nakamura goes out the side and comes in around the corner, but into a scoop and MICHINOKU DRIVER to the floor! Sami wants to win by count-out again! The count is 5 of 10, then 8! Nakamura springs up at 9 and in at 9.9!! Sami is furious but Nakamura survives!

Fans taunt Sami as “Rusty!” but Sami kicks Nakamura back out. Sami whips but Nakamura reverses and POSTS Sami! Nakamura TOSSES Sami into the timekeeper’s area! A true reversal of last time! Sami flounders, slides in at 9, KINSHASA!! Cover, Nakamura wins!

Winner: Shinsuke Nakamura, by pinfall

Nakamura avenges his loss to the “elder statesman” of SmackDown! Will Sami be hoping the Bloodline wasn’t aware of this? Will Nakamura be headed for gold in the near future?

Happy Corbin heads to the ring.

And though he’s hosting another episode of Happy Talk, it’s hard to say he looks all that happy. Could it have something to do with how he tried to cripple Mad Cap Moss? We’ll see how Corbin’s feeling, after the break.

SmackDown returns and Corbin has the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal trophy! Corbin somberly welcomes us to Happy Talk. And though he says this every week, this is the happiest he’s ever been. No one understands how good it feels to be Corbin. He’s tall, handsome, waring a 12 THOUSAND dollar hat, and a 70 THOUSAND dollar watch. But best of all, Corbin rid the WWE of that “mouth breathing moron,” Mad Cap Moss. And he got himself a souvenir, that will look great in his trophy case, alongside the one Corbin already has. Corbin has us watch a recap video showing his brutal attack on Moss, with chair, and the chair vice using the trophy to smash it.

Back to present, Corbin says he got fined a hell of a lot of money for that. Well, a lot of money to most people. But you can’t put a price on art, and that was a masterpiece. And just like every amazing piece of art, you appreciate it more the second time around. Corbin has us watch the video again, specifically when the trophy hits chair vice and Moss writhes in agony. Corbin says the fans should all learn from that. They should appreciate all the things they have, and should show total respect to their bosses. “You should never try to improve your station in life. Mad Cap Moss had it good. He was my protégé, he flew on private jets, he ate Wagyu beef, and I paid for it all.”

But now, if Moss wants to eat steak, his nurse has to chew it for him first. Moss wanted to get out of Corbin’s shadow, become a big star, and rise to the top of the WWE. He was a big shot, but he didn’t appreciate every great thing Corbin did for him. Moss thought Corbin was the butt of all his jokes! He called Corbin “The Big Bald Wolf!” Fans chant that back at Corbin, but Corbin says, “Who’s laughing now?! Maybe, just maybe, I am the Big Bald Wolf, because I huffed, and I puffed, and I put Mad Cap Moss in am ambulance!” Corbin snarls, still not looking all that happy. Corbin then takes the Andre the Giant Trophy and SMASHES it against the steel steps!!

Fans boo as Corbin smashes the rest of the base and plaque, then brings the Andre the Giant statuette itself into the ring to raise as his trophy. Will Corbin prove he’s not so much happy as he is a psychopath?

Ludwig Kaiser speaks on stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, show your utmost respect and honor to Der Ring General… GUNTHER!! Imperium’s dominant and destructive leader is here, ready to teach a lesson to the Philly Stretcher. Will Gulak need a stretcher after this?

GUNTHER w/ Ludwig Kaiser VS Drew Gulak!

SmackDown returns and Gunther is already brutalizing Gulak with knees! Gunther TOSSES Gulak, puts him in a corner, but GUlak avoids the chop! Gulak CLUBS Gunther, then throws haymakers! GUnther eggs Gulak on, Gulak CHOPS him! Gunther BOOTS Gulak down! Gunther drags Gulak up, wrenches and CHOPS again! Gunther has Gulak’s wrist, drags him up with it, and CHOPS again! Gunther still holds the wrist, drags Gulak up again and CHOPS Gulak down! Ludwig enjoys this like fine wine while Gunther reels Gulak in, for DER GENERAL BOMB! Cover, Gunther wins!

Winner: GUNTHER, by pinfall

But he’s not done! Gunther puts Gulak in a BOSTON CRAB! Ludwig laughs at Gulak’s pain, but here comes RICOCHET! The WWE Intercontinental Champion won’t stand for Gunther bullying Gulak any longer! Gunther und Ludwig leave, having earned the victory. But will the former NXT UK Champion look to take his first piece of gold on SmackDown

Adam Pearce talks with “Max Dupri.”

He’s ready to get to work. Well, okay, then, Mr. Dupri… Dupri lets us know that he is the CEO and owner of the hottest new modeling agency, Maximum Male Models. Tonight, the discovery begins of a new generation of superstars that can headline both Paris fashion week and WrestleMania. Pearce didn’t hear anything about this until now. Really? The person who brought Dupri in assured Dupri that Pearce was excited for this venture. And who said that? Sonya Deville. Well that was when she was still a WWE Official. She just lost her authority a couple weeks ago, so that might make this a bad idea.

Dupri says Pearce is right, this is awkward. But they have a signed contract. Then Pearce will reach out to his people. Who is he again? Max Dupri. Well, nice to meet you Max. NO, no, it’s Max Du-PRI. Uh, okay, sure. Dupri heads out, but will he be turning heads? Or just turning in headshots?

Backstage interview with RKBRO.

Kayla welcomes Orton & Riddle, and asks them their response to the Bloodline’s extreme confidence ahead of tonight’s main event. The Usos are convinced they’re winning, but Riddle says the only thing convincing is that they’re trying to convince themselves that they’ve convinced the WWE Universe that they can beat RKBRO. And to be honest, dude, Riddle’s been beating the Usos one by one week after week, so the Usos can’t beat RKBRO. Y’know why Riddle’s so confident, Kayla? Uh, she has an idea. Because RKBRO 4:20 says we just smoked your asses, bro!

Orton brings up Kayla saying the Usos are extremely confident. Orton disagrees, the Usos are sweating bullets right now. And they were sweating because tonight after all the smoke clears and the dust settles, Roman will look down at the Usos in disappointment and shame while they look up at him without their titles and they’ll tell him just what happened: They got hit with the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment, R K BRO! The Viper & the Stallion are riding high, but will they reach new levels at the end of tonight?

Shotzi and Aliyah watch the Progressive Match Flo recap backstage.

Raquel Rodriguez stepped up to Ronda Rousey’s SmackDown Women’s Championship Open Challenge and gave the Baddest Woman on the Planet one hell of a fight. Ronda is still champion, but Big Mami Cool won her respect. Shotzi frowns and says, “You know what that was?” Aliyah says yeah, that was her opportunity but Shotzi locked her in the locker room! Oh stop whining! Like you would’ve won. And how would Shotzi win? Lock her in a locker room, too? But then Raquel walks in and Shotzi says Raquel shoved her away and stole her moment. Raquel could never beat Ronda, either, because while she has all the physical tools, she has no idea what to do with them.

Raquel is a weak, soft, goodie goodie. She is six feet of disappointment. Shotzi will make the “absurd amazon” pay in this match! Raquel tells Shotzi “Esta muerta.” Translation: YOU’RE DEAD MEAT. Ricky Desperado heads out, will she get a big rebound win off the wild child?

Raquel Rodriguez VS Shotzi Blackheart!

SmackDown returns and the bell rings. Shotzi talks trash then throws forearms! Raquel picks Shotzi up to RAM her into a corner! And RAMS her shoulder in more and more! The ref counts, Raquel lets off, and then Raquel wrenches to a wristlock. Raquel straight arm levers Shotzi then drops her! Then she reels Shotzi in to run her over! Raquel SLAMS the arm down, then brings Shotzi up. Shotzi fires forearms while Aliyah, Xia Li, Natalya, Shayna Baszler and even Los Lotharios watch backstage. Raquel roars and whips but Shotzi holds ropes to BOOT! Shotzi ENZIGURIS Raquel then runs in at the corner, only for Raquel to pick her up again!

Shotzi sunset flips but Raquel stays up to drag Shotzi up and BUCKLE BOMB her! Shotzi kicks back, and again, going after the leg! Shotzi then grabs Raquel’s hair, reels her in, and has a HANGING HEADSCISSOR! The ref counts, but Raquel drags Shotzi back in with an Electric Chair! But Shotzi slips down to a REAR NAKED CHOKE! Only for Raquel to RAM her into buckles! Shotzi comes back, ROLLING ELBOW and QUESTION MARK KCIK! Then a KNEE! But Raquel just HEADBUTTS back! Shotzi BOOTS from the corner, goes up and leaps, but the rana is blocked! Raquel swings Shotzi back up, pops her around and FALL AWAY SLAMS!

Fans fire up and Raquel storms over to bring Shotzi up. Raquel scoops to FALL AWAY SLAM again! And then the TWISTING VADER! Fans fire up more as Raquel gets Shotzi back up. Deadlift into the CHINGONA BOMB!! Cover, Raquel wins!

Winner: Raquel Rodriguez, by pinfall

This “absurd amazon” just put Shotzi away! Raquel is all smiles, will she be back to the SmackDown Women’s Championship sooner rather than later?

Backstage interview with Xavier Woods.

Kayla says Woods’ opponent, Pete Dunne, won big over Kofi Kingston last week. To be fair, Ridge Holland and Sheamus had parts to play before the Bitter End. Butch then ran off to celebrate for just a moment, proving he does what he wants. Woods says that was the biggest win of Dunne’s SmackDown career. But can he get it done by himself? Or does he need the boys to hold his leash because he’s bush league? Now, Kofi is away on official New Day business, so Woods invites Butch to come down and face him truly 1v1 so we can see what kind of man he really is!

Xavier Woods VS “Butch” Pete Dunne!

King Xavier heads to the ring alone, but how will Dunne respond? We’ll see, after the break.

SmackDown returns and “The Brawling Brutes,” Sheamus and Ridge talk with Dunne. They tell Butch to rattle Woods’ teeth and dance on his head. They fist bump, and instead of a high five, Butch SLAPS Sheamus. That shows them he’s ready! Dunne goes out alone, accepting Woods’ challenge. The bell rings and Dunne rushes in! Woods dodges, ducks, slides, and ROLLING ELBOWS! Dunne flops out of the ring, Woods builds speed, and he WRECKS Dunne with a dropkick! Grand Rapids fires up with Woods and Woods drags Dunne up by an ear! Woods puts Dunne in, slides in, but Dunne STOMPS the hands! Dunne then runs to hit a SLIDING FOREARM!

Dunne gives some ground ‘n’ pound but fans rally with “NEW! DAY ROCKS!” Dunne brings Woods up but Woods rolls Dunne, TWO! Dunne floats around, has the arm and hammerlocks it. Dunne stands on Woods’ head, then grabs the other arm. Woods endures as Dunne digs knuckles and elbows into the ribs! Dunne then STOMPS the ribs! Woods grits his teeth but Dunne wraps on a chinlock! It’s almost a Bully Choke with the angle Dunne puts on it. Fans rally and Woods fights up, then Woods throws body shots. Dunne SLAPS Woods and Woods staggers to a corner. Dunne runs in but into a BOOT!

Woods runs, rolls, and hits the HONOR ROLL! Cover, TWO! Dunne survives but checks his teeth. Woods stalks Dunne, has him at ropes and CHOPS him! Dunne staggers away, but he comes back, into Woods’ forearms! Woods fireman’s carries, but Dunne CLAWS Woods’ face! Dunne fish hooks the mouth, the ref reprimands, but Dunne DECKS Woods, BOOTS him, and Woods flops to the apron. Dunne drags Woods up, drags him over the ropes and gives him Kowata Kicks! Dunne then goes to the corner, hops up, and leaps , but Woods avoids the kick! Woods then GAMANGIRIS Dunne back, steps in, but Dunne DECKS him!

Dunne hammers Woods’ head, the ref counts as Dunne pulls Woods’ hair, but Dunne lets off at 4. Dunne comes back, BACK WOODS!! WOODS WINS!!

Winner: Xavier Woods, by pinfall

Dunne is furious! Woods can’t be stopped when he hits that inside cradle! Dunne storms around ringside while Woods celebrates, and Dunne disappears into the crowd. Just what will happen during this tantrum?

But wait, Sheamus and Ridge walk out on stage behind Woods. Woods is all alone but then Dunne blindsides him! Dunne didn’t go far after all! Ridge drags Dunne away, telling him to leave it at this. Is this far from done between Dunne and the New Day?

Backstage interview with Xavier Woods.

He tells Megan that he is sick and tired of the numbers game garbage. Next week, it ends. Kofi Kingston is back next week, and though Big E is on the mend, the New Day has someone in mind that Sheamus, Ridge & Butch are not going to like. Just who (who who who) is this third man, brother?

The WWE addresses the incident from Monday Night Raw.

Michael Cole says the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Naomi & Sasha Banks, “let us all down” when they walked out on the show before the intended Six Pack Challenge Raw Women’s Championship #1 Contender’s match. Naomi & Sasha took their titles into the office of Talent Relations, left the belts there, and walked out of the arena. These actions disappointed millions of fans, as well as their fellow superstars. Because of what they did, Naomi & Sasha have been suspended indefinitely, and there will be a tournament to crown new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Raw & SmackDown Tag Team Championships, Winners Take All Title Unification: RKBRO VS The Usos!

What was meant for Backlash is happening now on a Friday night! Orton & Riddle are two-time Raw Tag Team Champions but Jimmy & Jey are the longest reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions ever! Will the Usos continue that historic reign as UNDISPUTED tag team champions? Or will it be RKO 4:20 from Monday to Friday?

The introductions are made, one belt each is raised, and tonight, we see who leaves with them all! History will be made, after the break.

SmackDown returns and we start with Riddle and Jimmy. Grand Rapids is already thunderous as the two tie up. Riddle gets a leg, Jimmy hops but Riddle trips him! Riddle wants the Half Crab but Jimmy scrambles so Riddle drops on him for a sleeper! Jimmy reaches out, ROPEBREAK! Heyman is on commentary as he says he is the Warden of the Uso Penitentiary. Jimmy and Riddle reset, Riddle waistlocks and SLAMS! Then he drags Jimmy up, tags Orton in and they mug Jimmy. Orton CLUBS Jimmy, stomps him around, SLAMS the arm down, and fans rally for “RANDY! RANDY!”

Orton brings Jimmy from ropes, stomps the hand and grinds the fingers! Tag to Riddle, ASSISTED FLOATING BRO! Cover, ONE! Jimmy crawls but Riddle puts him in a corner. Riddle CHOPS, whips corner to corner, but Jimmy reverses. Riddle hits buckles hard, then Jimmy rains down fists! Jimmy clamps onto Riddle with a chinlock but fans rally. Riddle fights up, throws body shots, but Jimmy throws Riddle down by his hair! The ref reprimands, and he checks on Riddle. Orton wants to know what’s going on, and even a medic gets in. Is Riddle okay to continue? We’ll see, after the break.

SmackDown returns once again, and Riddle powers Jimmy back, only for Jey to tag in! The Usos double whip Riddle for a DOUBLE SPINEBUSTER! Riddle writhes, clutching his hip. The damage done by those buckles is the bull’s eye for Jey’s stomp! Riddle flounders to ropes but Jey CHOKES him! The ref counts, Jey lets off, but Jimmy sucker punches Riddle down! Heyman compliments Riddle’s resilience for still fighting through the pain, but Jey drags Riddle from Orton. Fans rally for Riddle, Jey tags Jimmy, and they hoist Riddle up to HEADBUTT and CLUB the hip! Jimmy STOMPS the hip and Riddle writhes again.

Jimmy stomps Riddle’s back, then sits Riddle up into a rear bearhug! Riddle endures the squeeze, fans rally up, and Riddle reaches out! Jimmy tries to keep Riddle from Orton, but Riddle keeps fighting. Jimmy hits a back suplex! Jimmy tells fans to hush, then he tags Jey in. Jey stomps Riddle again, “We the ones!” Jey drags Riddle up, but Riddle gets around to ripcord and FINAL FLASH! Fans fire up while both men are down! Riddle and Jey crawl, hot tags to Jimmy and Orton! Fans are thunderous as The Viper rallies, dodges, and POWERSLAMS! Fans fire up more, Jey runs in for a POWERSLAM!

Orton has Jimmy on the apron and drags him in through the ropes! Fans are thunderous for the DRAPING DDT! Fans fire up more as Orton hears those voices in his head! Jimmy staggers up, RKO!! Cover, Jey breaks it!! Jey drags Jimmy back to the corner and tags himself in. Jey then hurries after Orton, blocks an RKO, but Riddle tags in! SUPERKICK to Orton, but Riddle manages to jump in, spin around and PELE! Riddle fights through the bad him to kip up! Forearm smash, side to side and forearm smash! BROSPLODER! BROTON onto knees!! Riddle still swings, but into the POP-UP NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!!

Jey is furious that Riddle survived! “This is Awesome!” but Heyman is stressing out on commentary. Jey drags Riddle up, pushes him to the corner and runs in, but into an elbow! Riddle goes up, but Jey trips him up! Riddle crashes down to the mat! Jey goes up the corner, Heyman just quits commentary, because Riddle springs right up! Riddle cravats, but Jey pulls hair! Riddle rains down elbows, Heyman distracts the ref! ROMAN APPEARS! He anchors Jey to save him from the Super RKO, and Riddle crashes down!! Jey adjusts, USO SPLASH!! Cover, USOS WIN!!!

Winners: The Usos, by pinfall (UNDISPUTED WWE Tag Team Champions)

And Roman has a big smile on his face. The Tribal Chief and Special Counsel made sure . And then Roman BOOTS Riddle down, fires off hands, and drags him up. Orton gets back up, The Usos DOUBLE SUPERKICK Orton back down! The Usos RAM Orton with steel steps while Roman hauls Riddle to the desk! Roman uses a GUILLOTINE to choke Riddle out! The Usos RAM Orton again and he finally falls! Roman DECKS Riddle to put him on the desk, and then Jey climbs the corner?! SUPER USO SPLASH THROUGH THE DESK!!! The Bloodline stands tall, having stunned everyone! Referees and officials want them to stop but Roman uses a GUILLOTINE to choke out Orton!!

The Tribal Chief lets Orton go to tell the officials to stop touching him! He’ll smash all y’all! The Bloodline then gather up their titles, and hold them all up in the middle of the ring. Is there absolutely no stopping their reign of terror over the WWE?

My Thoughts:

What a wild episode for SmackDown. First off, while the “controversy” of Roman helping out was expected, I did not think one bit that they’d let the result come through. At the same time, Roman was definitely pissed about that Final Flash outta nowhere so of course he went after Riddle that hard. The Bloodline is draped in gold, they annihilated RKBRO, and they might not even have challengers for Hell in a Cell. In story, they should revel in that, and use their sway as the top champions on both brands to get the night off. Plus, so many singles matches for Hell in a Cell, like Cody VS Seth, can be seen as a contender’s match.

Now in actual controversy, the situation with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships is upsetting. I’ll say right now if this is all a work, it’s a very deep and dedicated one. If it isn’t a work, holy crap what a bunch of BS from the WWE but what else is new? The little statement by Maggle was WWE putting their side forward as the only truth, but I personally feel Sasha & Naomi are at least standing up for the Women’s Tag Division when the company isn’t. And what hilarious nonsense is it to say they’re going to have a tournament when by my count, it’s only Shayna & Natty on SmackDown, Piper & Nikki on Raw, and shit else without calling up NXT teams for this. If WWE gave a damn and had more teams on RawDown before this point, it wouldn’t have come to this.

Sami VS Nakamura was a great first match for the night, a great step up from the match a couple weeks ago, and Sami still wearing a Bloodline shirt is a great continuation of his story with them. I really want to see Sami try and use all this as a reason he should get something in return. Chances are, it’ll be a shot at the Intercontinental Championship, not the Undisputed Universal title. Gunther VS Gulak felt even more one-sided than last time because Gulak didn’t even get an entrance. But as I figured, Ricochet comes out to make the save, definitely setting up Ricochet VS Gunther for the IC title.

Corbin oddly had a very good promo segment because he wasn’t being so jovial. If anything, call this guy “Psycho Corbin” because he goes and smashes the trophy that he said he wanted to keep. Corbin will probably get himself in the Money in the Bank match so he’ll return to Vegas, where he became Happy Corbin in the first place. Then he can lose there because of Moss making a miraculous return, and the Corbin VS Moss feud actually finishes at SummerSlam. But in immediate disappointment, the new name and gimmick for LA Knight makes its debut. Max Dupri, owner of a male modeling agency, long after they cut the Fashion Police, Breezango. Vince and team continue to have bad pacing and timing.

One instance where it isn’t really their fault, though, is with the feud between The New Day and… Sigh… The Brawling Brutes. What a disappointing attempt at a faction name. Why not just call them what I’ve been calling them, The Fight Night Boys! That’s been their entire thing! Pat McAfee shouts “IT’S… FIGHT NIGHT!” And while it’s awesome Woods’ finisher is a cradle, it was pretty clear they were giving us something more next. Woods & Kofi bringing in a sub for Big E is a cool move, I just hope if this is a call-up, we don’t get another weird rename. And then, with this Six Man Tag, we need to see this feud end.

We did get good stuff from the rest of the SmackDown Women’s Division, though. Shotzi picking a fight with Raquel before their match was good Heel stuff, and the way she was talking, she feels more like Judgement Day material than anyone in Judgement Day right now. The match was very good stuff, but I swear if Fox was censoring “Chingona” just because it roughly translates to “badass,” I have another reason to hate this damn WWE on Fox deal. But Raquel winning, she’s going to be a strong Face on this brand, but I have a feeling one of the many Heels on SmackDown get around her to get at Ronda, especially with MITB still on the horizon.

My Score: 8.7/10

The Rascalz vs Fir$t Cla$$ vs Laredo vs The System

Octagon got jumped by The System earlier so Laredo is fighting alone. Another backstage jumping is getting a little dumb.

Laredo and Trey start. Typical Indie start with Simultaneous awful Dropkick spot and bad counters, AJ blind tag runs the smaller guys over, tags out to KC and the Rascalz instantly get the moment. KC is rocked, tags in Laredo and Laredo takes out the System before Lish gets on the apron and grabs Laredo. The referee kicks out Lish and Rehwoldt on commentary points out it’s a No DQ match so that’s dumb.

KC gets tossed at AJ, he catches him, Rascalz Dive and do their taunt as we go to commercial. We come back, Tennessee Whiskey into a KC tag in for the near fall on Laredo. Corner combo, Snapmare into Flip Forward Neck Breaker, KC is on a roll. AJ tags Laredo and starts talking crap to KC, they swerve and go Finger Poke of Doom, but it’s not a legal pin. Suddenly tornado attacks, System and Rascalz go for broke, AJ hits the Senton to break the eventual pin, Laredo counters AJ’s Chokeslam attempt. Trey clears out The System, Wentz sends himself and KC over and out, Laredo with a Corkscrew Moonsault, which looked cool but it’s the pile of morons waiting to get hit spot.

AJ hits the Down Payment on Laredo, but Trey blind tagged AJ. Meteora on AJ, Trey pins Laredo and Rascalz win.

Raj Singh vs Mustafa Ali

Raj looks like shit in the gear he came down in…and he wrestles equivalently. I would rather anyone else comeback…give me Anarquia.

Ali murders Raj, Instant Dropkick, Rolling Neckbreaker, Corkscrew Standing Moonsault, it’s not close. Raj tries to counter things but Ali Bellclap, a little Duck the left, connect the right. Raj even does a terrible looking Punch Combo, he’s in bad shape, a bad looking Ushigoroshi, Raj with a sloppy looking something, 450 ends it.

Fire Raj as quickly as you brought him back. You don’t need a comedically pathetic job guy when the roster is like 4 guys getting pushed and everyone else sucks. Stop being stupid. Ali still hates women too.

This Injury Report is the dumbest segment in the history of wrestling. Stop treating fake shit as “serious business”.

ASH by Elegance vs Lei Ying Lee

ASH mocks karate stuff, Lei throws a few Rising Crane kicks as ASH bails and then things slow down a little. But a Pump Kick, Sliding Kick and Low Dropkick cause ASH to cower and claim her tooth broke. It’s a bait to pull Lei into the turnbuckles and them get in a few stomps. Ash keeps Lei in the corner, Suplexes her ankles into the buckles and then Ash throws a few Booty Shots/Hit Attacks then starts a grounded stretch, Lei Headscissors her down, still sells the hips and ankles, but dodges and fires, combination strikes into the 10 Count Down Strikes. T-bone Suplex, into the pinfall, for only two.

Cheapshot into Running Meteora from ASH for two. Ash goes for the Miz Yes Kicks and Lei No Sells and asks for more. Gorgeous Capture Suplex into Thunder Struck and TKO with flair. My baby has a better finish now! Yay!

Mance Warner w/SDL vs Jobber

Hannifan cursing and being pissed at Trick for not even showing but is more entertaining than a squash match. Not that Mance’s offense is bad, but 2 out of 3 job matches is stupid.

Santino Marella & Arianna Grace vs Robert Stone & Victoria Crawford w/Tessa

Marella tries to tie up with Robbie, but he bails and tags out to Victoria so Arianna comes in and aside from Alicia Fox’s silliness, the tie up was decent with Arianna and Victoria. Tessa interferes and the Referee throws her out. Victoria comes back in and aside from a slight miscommunication with how Arianna does her punches, Alicia Fox is making her look…pretty good. Transition moves, okay brawling and Arianna looks amazing in her outfit.

Rob and Santino distract the referee and Victoria hits a Figure Four into her Northern Lights Suplex, only for 2. Arianna finally Back Body Drop to find the tag, Santino and Rob, Santino does his split dodge into the Standing Headbutt, Arianna Cross Body onto Victoria. Rob pulls out the ref, then shoves the ref into Santino, Santino into the steps and Arianna attack but Alicia and Lish, the fix is in, Arianna eats the pin.

International Championship: Steve Maclin (c) vs Matt Cardona

A few quick brawl moves, Shoulder Tackles, Strikes, Back Breakers, Cardona does get dumped out and eats a SCUD. Maclin bounces Cardona’s face off the apron and hits an Elbow off the apron to keep Cardona reeling, but a dodged tackle sends Maclin into the steps. Cardona tries to Piledriver Maclin on the ramp, but Back Drop counter, into commercial.

Formulaic commercial etiquette of Cardona still in control, throws Maclin into the ropes, Diving Shoulder Tackle lays both dudes out and they get up by 8. Fighting Spirit spot, Cardona hits ropes and gets hit by Maclin twice, Thesz Press, Ground and Pound, Back Elbow and Olympic Slam has Maclin rolling. Splash into Lariat for two. Maclin has been all gas no brakes. Cardona tries to take a few shortcuts that turns into a Straight Jacket Takedown. Cardona to the top, Maclin cuts him off, Superplex spot. 1-2-kick out!

Maclin goes topside for a Jar Headbutt, Cardona hits the ropes so Maclin crashes into the corner, 2 Reboots connect, the third gets caught, counter into Busaiku Knee, Jar Headbutt. In and out, Cardona uses the middle rope for the Low Blow, Killswitch from Cardona but Maclin kicks out. Cardona dodges and shoves Maclin towards the ref, he puts the brakes on, Radio Silence! 1-2-Kick out! Maclin catches a top rope move, Power Bomb, Corner Splash, Tree of Woe, Caught in the Crosshairs, KIA and Maclin retains!

Overall Score: 4.5/10

Boring paint by numbers show, no Trick, System has one move, Robert Stone is a scumbag, too long to introduce new girls, lots of throw away segments and Rosemary sets up YET ANOTHER Monster’s Ball match. These aren’t interesting when there’s one every 3 months. So we can have terrible Monster’s Ball matches quarterly, Barbed Wire Massacre and Clockwork Orange House of Fun…BUT NO LOCKDOWN!?

Go home TNA, you’re drunk.

The Bone Soldier fails, and now Desperado is NOT going to the finals! Desperado will now be on the outside looking in, waiting for his next challenger.

Speaking of which, Kosei Fujita now makes his way out here to be face to face with Yoh. Yoh holds the ropes open for Fujita to step into the ring. Fujita and Yoh get face to face, and Fujita points at the tag title on Yoh’s shoulder, because he also wants that belt. Yoh knows, since he and Wato took it from Fujita & Eagles. But Yoh dismisses Fujita, they’ll meet again on June 1st. Yoh then takes up the mic to tell Fujita, “Ya bastard… I’ll show you true chaos! Now, just one more win. In Ota, the best wind will blow.” Yoh drops the mic to leave it at that. Will that wind be the winds of change? Or will Yoh fail to bring down The Mighty Japanese Young Punk?

Here are the FINAL B Block standings!

YOH: 6-3, 12 points [FINALIST]
El Desperado: 6-3, 12 points [ELIMINATED]
MAO: 6-3, 12 points [ELIMINATED]
Taiji Ishimori: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
Robbie Eagles: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
SHO: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
Nick Wayne: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
Kevin Knight: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
Titan: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
Ryusuke Taguchi: 3-6, 6 points [ELIMINATED]

My Thoughts:

A great night to wrap round nine and therefore the round robin portion. No repeat BOSJ finalists, which is actually great because now we’ve got a fresh match-up. Taguchi VS Knight was still a great match for not affecting outcomes, and Knight gets to return to AEW with a win. The flipside is Titan gets a win over Nick Wayne, I really do think it books itself, Nick VS Titan for the ROH World TV Championship on Grand Slam: Mexico. Christian Cage can even be condescending to Nick over how Nick didn’t make it to the finals, adding to that feud. Nick can beat Titan in the rematch, then get in Christian’s face to make a match for All In: Texas, or at least Supercard of Honor where ROH titles should be showing up anyway.

Great stuff with Mao and his team against Sho and the House of Torture. I was pleasantly surprised that Mao won, and I wonder if the House of Torture goes to a DDT Pro show to battle it out with Strange Love Connection. Mao winning also added great drama to the remaining matches, Despy VS Eagles was awesome stuff, probably the actual best match of the night. Yoh VS Taiji wasn’t quite as hot going by the crowd, but Yoh getting the win to shut the door on Despy was good. Yoh VS Fujita will be great, a bit hard to call, but that makes it fun.

My Score: 9/10
