“For three years, I’ve been big game hunting in NJPW. For three years, I’ve been blazing a trail with AEW. And it’s funny how things work out. It’s been a weird year, it’s been a strange year. It hasn’t been easy. More than people know. But I told you in January, I was gonna grab professional wrestling by the balls. Tonight, I guess this is Wednesday Night Wars come to life, right? With all due respect, Kyle O’Reilly, all of due respect, you are now in with the wrong guy at the wrong place at the wrong time. Because this tournament, this opportunity, whatever you wanna call it, it belongs to me! The Forbidden Door belongs to me! It always has.
June 26th, it’ll be a moment three years in the making! “Three years of blood, sweat and tears, in one fell swoop, NJPW, AEW and this entire sport, belong to me! Love you, mom.” Moxley is ready to take on O’Reilly, but who tears the other apart just to step closer to the Forbidden Door?

AEW presents the All-Atlantic Championship, a new title that represents the AEW fans watching around the world in over 130 countries. This spectacular international stage promises to bring you the best of the best for decades to come.”
But who will be the first to hold the All-Atlantic title? A tournament of international flavor will be held, starting tonight! The Bastard avenges Death Triangle, and both Fenix and Penta make their way out to celebrate with him. But this won’t be the end of it, as Penta and Malakai meet in another match in this tournament. Will Death Triangle have two men in? Or will Malakai avenge Buddy and go to the Forbidden Door for the House?
Eddie Kingston speaks backstage.
He wants the cameras to watch. They tell him he has a minute, but Kingston won’t need a minute! Hager, you cost Kingston a chance to be champion! Kingston promised himself he’d be world champion and Hager cost him that! Garcia and 2point0 or whatever you guys are, and Chris Jericho, you all better be watching. Kingston is going to get them all! And don’t you count him down. He’ll do what he wants. He knows what it all means, this TV production stuff. But Hager! Kingston wants you on Rampage! Doesn’t matter if the show’s on after the NBA, before the NHL, whatever, he wants a match! Kingston wants Hager on Rampage for a FIGHT! Now we can tell the truck Kingston’s done!
AEW returns and #JustTrent is in the ring.
“Guys, I’m kind of bummed out. Today’s supposed to be National Best Friends Day, and my friends aren’t here. Something else is bothering me. A few weeks ago, myself and Rocky Romero, we had a match for the ROH Tag Team titles. And while we didn’t win that match, we didn’t lose, either. So the way I see it, Roppongi Vice deserves one more shot!” Fans like the sound of that! Trent knows FTR are fighting champs, so why don’t they come out and make things right? FTR obliges and fans fire up to see the ROH & AAA World Tag Team Champions. They join Trent in the ring, and Trent lets Cash have the mic.
Fans chant for “FTR! FTR!” and Cash says, “Thank you, thank you, thank you very much. And as much as this pains me to say, because we are fighting champs, you’re absolutely right, Trent. We didn’t lose against Roppongi Vice, but we damn sure didn’t win, and that doesn’t sit well with me or with Dax. Because we want to come out here, night after night, and show every single one of these people without any single doubt we are the absolute best tag team on this planet.” Fans cheer that, and Dax gets the mic. “And look, Trent. If it were up to us, we’d come out here to Kansas City and give these people a treat with you guys.”
But… Rocky is in Japan, so FTR won’t hold that against RPG Vice. The problem here, though, isn’t with FTR. It’s with those guys who attacked them all and cost RPG Vice the match. It should be all of “Will Ospreay’s Bitch Boys.” And Dax thinks that if it were up to him… Wait, wait, someone is coming out? NJPW’s United Empire is here! Will Ospreay, the Commonwealth Kingpin, is here in person! And though he’s the only one on stage, he’s not alone! From behind, it’s Aaron Henare and Aussie Open, Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher! Henare SPEARS Trent down, then he, Ospreay and Aussie Open mug FTR!
Fans lose their minds at this shocking attack from the Empire! They scrape Cash out, then Dax, and then they get Trent up! Aussie Open double pump handle for the CORIOLIS EFFECT! Ospreay then puts on his elbow pad and he aims at Trent! HIDDEN BLADE!! Fans are torn but, will Ospreay and his men make this UEW: The United Empire’s Wrestling?
Tony Schiavone interviews reDRagon, Adam Cole, and William Regal.
Kyle is facing Moxley tonight, but Regal wanted to address the Undisputed Elite first. “Kyle, Bobby, I’ve taught you both many, many things over the last few years. But this is Jon Moxley you’re facing. This is a man who even sends shivers down my spine. Are you sure you’re ready for this? After that grueling battle royal, are you sure? Think about your wife, think about your friends. Are they going to miss you? My best wishes. It’s going to really hurt me to be on commentary when I have to call you getting your head cracked open.”
Regal leaves, then Kyle repeats, “Think about my wife? Think about my friends? That’s who I think about every time I step into that ring, and I’ve got all the momentum in the world right now. I’ve got wins over Jungle Boy, wins over Rey Fenix, Darby Allin. I came to AEW to do two things, Tony: Fight the best this world has to offer, and fight for the AEW Championship. And tonight, I get to do both against Jon Moxley in the main event.” Cole and Fish like that fire. Cole is going to go call commentary for what’s next, but he knows Kyle has this.
And just as he said, Cole joins commentary. It seems “The King of Harts” has some interest in what an “old friend” is up to tonight.
Hangman Page VS David Finlay!
The Cowboy lost the title to CM Punk, but the irony is that Punk’s leg takes him out of action and Hangman is not in the running for the interim title. Will Hangman fight his way up so that no matter who is champion, he can take that title from them? Or will the fourth generation Man Who Loves to Fight take that fight to him?
The bell rings and the two get in each other’s face. Finlay shoves but they tie up. Finlay puts Hangman on ropes, Hangman turns it around, they both go around and around and end up in a corner. Finlay drags Hangman up from the ropes, EuroUppers, then runs in to uppercut at the corner! Finlay shoves Hangman down, goes up, and leaps for a FLYING UPPERCUT! Cover, ONE!! Finlay is frustrated but he hip drops Hangman’s leg at the ropes! And again! But then Hangman BOOTS Finlay out! Hangman gets up, builds speed, but slides into the apron skirt trap! A Finlay family classic! Finlay fires off on Hangman, and even HEADBUTTS him! Hangman flops down under the skirt and Finlay smirks as he drags Hangman back up and in. Finlay clamps on an STF! Hangman endures, fans rally, and Hangman crawls his way forward! Finlay lets off to SMASH the knee into the mat! Hangman clutches the leg and Finlay drives knees into Hangman’s side! Finlay looms over Hangman, brings him up, and scoops to SLAM Hangman into the ropes! Finlay drags Hangman from the ropes, Dynamite returns to single picture and Finlay stomps away.
Finlay steps through but Hangman kicks at him with the legs. Fans fire up, Hangman fireman’s carries! Finlay slips off, duck sand dodges, but leaps into Hangman’s arms! FALL AWAY SLAM! Fans fire up and Hangman manages the kip up! Cole is furious about that, and Hangman runs corner to corner at Finlay for a big clothesline! Then a short arm LARIAT! Hangman TRIANGLE JUMP LARIATS! Fans fire up, Hangman aims and PLANCHAS! Direct hit and down goes Finlay!
Cole says he knew that’d hurt Hangman’s bad leg. Hangman drags Finlay up, puts him in the ring, and Finlay flounders to a corner. Fans rally up and Hangman runs corner to corner, into an elbow! Finlay runs in, into a POP-UP POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO! Cole knows they’ve been throwing heavy shots, something has to give. Fans rally, Hangman gets Finlay up to an Alabama Lift, but Finlay slips off. Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall
Hangman gets back up on the horse with this win, and he gets a mic to speak. Fans chant and Hangman says, “There’s a lot I want to say about the AEW World Championship. But tonight is not the night. Tonight, I wasn’t in the little battle royal, and it doesn’t look like I’m gonna get a title shot any time soon.” Fans boo but Hangman says, “But since that’s the case, I remembered there’s not only one world championship in professional wrestling. So the last Sunday in June, Forbidden Door, I want the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship! And I, want, OKADA!”
Cole speaks up and says Hangman has to be kidding. “Are you really that delusional? First of all, Okada might not even be the champion. It could very well be my good friend, Jay White. But you didn’t think about that. Because you don’t think like a champion. Oh, also, everyone, newsflash: Page, you aren’t a champion anymore! You lost the AEW World Championship, and I won the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. Meaning I’ve been on a frickin’ roll ain’t nobody gonna stop. If anybody should get a shot at the IWGP Championship, it should be ME! Because I am the new franchise player here in AEW! Your time has come and gone, my friend.
And whether Hangman or anyone else wants to admit it, AEW is all about Adam Cole, Baybay. So Cole suggests that Hangman just stay out of the way. That ain’t no cowboy sh*t, that’s a promise! BOOM. Cole has staked his claim and puts Page in his place, but will management have other ideas?

Kansas City is All Elite, but so is his guest. It’s WARDLOW! Fans chant for “WARD~LOW!” as he makes his way out, and his theme song is restored! Wardlow goes to the ring and Schiavone brings up that Wardlow opted not to be in tonight’s battle royal, and now we’ll hear why. Wardlow is handed the mic and he hears the fans chanting “WARD~LOW!” for him. “Oh, Kansas City… Welcome to Wardlow’s World! And you’re right, Tony, I asked not to take part in the Battle Royal for the heavyweight championship. The reason being, CM Punk is our champion. So if I’m not making him tap or pinning his shoulders to the mat, I don’t want it yet.
“So heal up real quick, champ, because you can bet your ass I’ll be waiting for you when you get back.” Fans like the sound of that. Wardlow continues to say there is a title he does want. A title that few men have carried that brought an incredible amount of respect to it. “Unfortunately, since then, there’s a few men that have completely diminished it. That’s a title that I had won three months ago. A title that I have thought about every day since that night. I want the TNT TITLE!” Fans like the sound of that, too! “It’s time for a change around here, and-”
But before Wardlow can continue, Scorpio Sky walks out on stage, holding up the TNT Championship. Fans boo Scorpio but he’s at least heading to the ring to confront Wardlow. But then Dan Lambert and Ethan Page scramble out to stop him! They don’t want Scorpio to fight while he’s less than 100%, and Lambert even calls Wardlow a coward for calling out a man who is at less than 100%. Ethan tells Wardlow to wait, but Wardlow says if Scorpio’s got a bum knee, Wardlow is All Elite now. He’s got all the time in the world. He’ll wait until Scorpio feels 110%! Scorpio, Ethan and Lambert leave, but wait, now Mark Sterling is on the tron.
Sterling tells Wardlow he shouldn’t be focused on anything right now, because last week, he ripped up legal documents life on TV! “You can’t do that, you dummy!” But Sterling is starting to realize, Wardlow might not understand the big words coming out of Sterling’s mouth, and these fine men in the security staff aren’t going to get the money they deserve. So, because Sterling is a nice guy, he’ll give Wardlow two options: face Sterling in the court of law over the class action lawsuit on behalf of the American Arena Security Professionals; or he wrestles 20 of them at once, live on TV, in an elimination match! Either way, Wardlow pays! So will Wardlow choose to do this the easy way, or will he take Sterling to court?
The Young Bucks are on the Cutler Cam.
How they lookin’, Brandon? Super cute. Alright, good. Matt Jackson says, “What a week it was last week, right, brother?” Nick says, “Unbelievable!” First, in LA on Wednesday, the Bucks beat the current reigning AEW World Tag Team Champions, clean as a whistle! And then on Friday in their hometown of Ontario, California, the Bucks beat their biggest rivals in the Lucha Brothers. Matt wants to know if Nick agrees with him, “The Young Bucks are back, baby! And y’know what? We want our Tag Team titles back.” Nick agrees with all that, but then there’s a knock on the door. And in walk in the Hardy Boyz!
What’re they doing in the Bucks’ office? What do they want? Nice room, Bucks of Youth. But uh, they were walking by, saw the door was cracked, heard them talking, and Matt Hardy just expected the Bucks to be burying the Hardys like always. But they weren’t! They were talking about winning matches, which they have, and that they deserve a tag title match. Well, if memory serves, the Hardys beat the Bucks at Double or Nothing! So if anyone deserves a shot, it’s the Hardys! Jeff says amen, but then in walk Christian Cage & Jurassic Express! They should really keep that door locked, y’know. Oh, okay, everyone just make themselves at home!
Captain Charisma says he couldn’t help but overhear the chatter, too. Bucks want a title match, Hardys want a title match, but he doesn’t think either of them deserve it yet. They gotta earn it the same way “we” did. Now yes, the Bucks pinned Jungle Boy in his hometown of Los Angeles in front of his family. But the titles weren’t on the line. When they are on the line, things will be different, that is where “we” get the win back. But y’know what? Christian throws out a challenge to both teams, the Hardys and Bucks.
And what Christian is thinking is, a match that put the Hardys and Christian on the map. A match that made them household names. A match that even made the Bucks famous. Then just say it! “Next week, right here on Dynamite, for the AEW World Tag Team titles… The Hardy Boyz VS The Young Bucks VS Jurassic Express… IN A LADDER MATCH!” The Bucks and Hardys are fired up but JB is questioning Christian’s logic. Now get out of their office! Fine, see you next week, Bucks. Cutler, cut the camera, you dumbass. But will Christian be looking like the idiot for putting his boys in a position to lose?

Rosa goes side to side to A-LIST LARIAT! Marina sits, Rosa goes up, SWINGING KNEES! Rosa has Marina on ropes and fires KC up for the DROPKICK! Then another DROPKICK against ropes! NORTHERN LIGHTS! Bridging cover, TWO! Fans rally, Rosa gets Marina up and fireman’s carries, but Marina throws elbows. Marina KICKS the leg, then hauls Rosa up to pump handle. Marina CLUBS Rosa, hooks her up, TWISTING EXPLODER! Cover, TWO!!
Marina grows frustrated, maybe the Problem is having a problem with the champ! Marina clamps onto Rosa’s face again, drags her up, but Rosa throws body shots. Rosa firemen’s carries, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Rosa roars and brings Marina up, to KICK her! And KICK! Rosa powers up but Marina blocks the kick! Palm strike and a lift, but Rosa sunset flips, TWO!! Rosa gets up but Marina gets around to waistlock. Rosa switches, Marina switches back, but Rosa victory rolls, and wins!!
Winner: Thunder Rosa, by pinfall (still AEW Women’s World Champion)
The solution came in the blink of an eye, and Rosa retains the title! But Marina is pissed and she KICKS Rosa down! Marina hauls Rosa up in chicken wings to HEADBUTT her in the back, then SAYANAGI! Fans boo as Marina ties Rosa up in the INGREDIENT! The leg lock armlock combo is putting Rosa out, but TONI STORM rushes in! Storm dropkicks Marina and fires off fists! Marina shoves Storm away, but Storm gets around to GERMAN SUPLEX! Rosa gets Marina up, for the FIRE THUNDER DRIVER! Fans fire up, but now Storm picks up the title. Storm hands it back to Rosa, but will she want her shot next? What will happen with Storm and Thunder clash?
Backstage interview with The Baddies.
Schiavone is here with Jade Cargill, Red Velvet, Kiera Hogan & Stokely Hathaway to bring up the big match on this Friday’s Rampage. She says it seems more like no one can mind their damn business. Hathaway says, “And you heard the queen, Tony. Last week on Dynamite, we had an issue with Athena. We confronted Athena, and then all of a sudden, Anna Jay and um, what’s the name of that big head girl from outer space?” Kris Statlander. More like, “Statland yourself back on that ugly planet you came from.”
That’s it! “Kristen Highlander,” you’re going 1v1 with Red Velvet this Friday, and once Velvet is done with you, you’ll be beggin’ like Keith Swettin. Who can beat Velvet? NOBOOODY! And Tony? Cut the sh*t. Who wins the huge grudge match between these former friends?

AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door is but 18 days away! The Maniac wants to get back to the top of AEW, but #KillerKyle wants his first taste! Who proves they want it more in this guaranteed knockdown, drag-out fight of a main event?
The bell rings and fans fire up. Kyle and Moxley circle, feel things out, and knuckle lock. Kyle tests the waters with a kick but Moxley stays up. They go again, Kyle tries another kick but Moxley still stays up. They go again, Kyle shoots in but Moxley holds off the takedown to float to a mount. Kyle rolls and uses his legs to get a TRIANGLE! Moxley throws hands, Kyle shifts and they end up in ropes. Kyle gets away and fans rally up. Moxley and Kyle reset, tie up collar ‘n’ elbow, and Regal loves the energy. Moxley waistlocks, Kyle wrenches free and gets a wristlock, but Moxley rolls and wrenches through to cording hold and hip toss! Cover, ONE!
Kyle gets Moxley’s foot while Regal says he loves seeing the “Cornish Height” from Moxley. Moxley hops his way to ropes, the ref counts and Kyle KICKS Moxley’s leg as he lets off. The ref reprimands, but Moxley and Kyle reset. Moxley and Kyle circle, feel out another grapple, but then Moxley SLAPS Kyle! Kyle shrugs that off, they go again, and each man tests the waters with attempt at slaps and kicks. They then tie up collar ‘n’ elbow, Moxley wrenches and hammerlocks and he wrangles Kyle down. Kyle reaches back, Moxley cranks the arm and then gets the other. Moxley bends the fingers! Then SNAPS them!
Kyle clutches his hand while the ref reprimands, but Moxley wrenches Kyle’s arm to wrangle him down again. Moxley shits for a Short Arm Scissor, almost a half nelson. Kyle pushes up and has a cover, ONE, into an ARMBAR! Moxley clasps hands, Regal knows you can’t count Kyle out with his high technical IQ, but Moxley gets around to stack Kyle. Kyle lets him go but now Moxley wants Kyle’s legs. Moxley shoots around to grab the wrists, for some DANIELSON STOMPS! Moxley wants to kick Kyle’s head in but Kyle gets away and out of the ring! Fans fire up, Kyle gets back in but he’s wary of charging Moxley.
Moxley smirks and puts his hands back, daring Kyle to do something. Kyle throws fast strikes for free! Moxley ROCKS Kyle but Kyle ROCKS him back. They go forearm for forearm, fans firing up as they pick up speed! Moxley gives Kyle boxing elbows and a HEADBUTT! Kyle wobbles, Moxley eggs him on, so Kyle KIKCS and KICKS and KICKS! Moxley goes to a corner, Kyle KICKS him more and more! Kyle whips, Moxley reverses and runs in to clothesline! And then another clothesline! And another! Moxley fires up and the fans are with him as he goes corner to corner, only for Kyle to dropkick the legs out!
Kyle goes to an apron, Moxley ROCKS him first! Moxley steps through, into a DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! Just like Kyle did to Yuta! Kyle ties Moxley’s leg up in the ropes, then hurries up top! GUILLOTINE KNEE DROP!! The leg gets bent and fans fire up as Dynamite goes picture in picture!

Winner: Jon Moxley, by pinfall (advances to Forbidden Door)
The Maniac conquers #KillerKyle! And now, Moxley is walking up to that Forbidden Door! NJPW determines their contender this Sunday at Dominion in Osaka-Jo Hall, Hiroshi Tanahashi VS Hirooki Goto! Who will meet Moxley in Chicago for that Interim AEW World Championship?
My Thoughts:
A great AEW here that sets up a lot for Forbidden Door, and even next week for Road Rager. Though, I must’ve misread something when they mentioned it last time, because I thought this was for July. But Road Rager 2022 looks great, with a great promo segment setting up the AEW World Tag Team Championship match. Jurassic Express VS Bucks VS Hardys in a Ladder Match is going to be amazing stuff, and this could be the way Jurassic Express lose without it really hurting them. What it should also set up is JB confronting Christian Cage on acting like he’s the leader and putting them into the ladder match, and we could end up with JB VS Christian 1v1 in time for the Blood & Guts special.
We also got a good promo from Wardlow to set up his story. He gives us a reason why he’s waiting on the world title, but at least he is going after the TNT Championship next, as he should. He is definitely taking on those 20 “security guards” in what will be history’s biggest and most amazing squash match. After getting through all 20 of Sterling’s guys, Wardlow will get at Scorpio Sky, and that could go either way given. Wardlow is super over, fans would love seeing him get that title. But at the same time, Scorpio has Ethan and Lambert, they could cheat Wardlow like they have everyone else for some big heat. I’m hoping AEW goes with Wardlow winning, though.
Hangman VS Finlay was a great match, and Cole was a lot of fun on commentary. Of course Hangman wins, and I like that he called out Okada for Forbidden Door. Okada has said Forbidden Door won’t mean as much without him, so good to see someone wants after him. But I also liked that Cole called Hangman out for thinking he just gets a title match. Pretty sure we’ll get Adam VS Adam III, winner faces whoever is IWGP World Heavyweight Champion after Dominion. In that regard, pretty sure Hangman wins, because if White ends up winning, Cole isn’t facing him. Either way, the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship is going to have an awesome match.
Great AEW Women’s World Championship match, and it was all the greater because it was gritty and sloppy at times. It was like a real fight because both women have MMA training, so they made the best out of this one. Rosa of course retains, but Marina attacking her after was a bit of a surprise. Storm making the save was also a surprise, but it does set up Rosa VS Storm, and that is going to be really good stuff. I would think Rosa wins again, they might be wanting to build her up for when Britt makes her way back around, or for Jade Cargill wanting both titles. The Baddies had a good promo, Velvet VS Statlander will be good, but that Six Woman Tag has to still be coming.
We got a great bit with Trent, FTR and the United Empire. Rampage will have a big match of Trent & FTR VS Ospreay & Aussie Open, and it will surely set up a big tag title match at Forbidden Door, RPG Vice getting another shot at the ROH tag titles while perhaps also bringing in the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships, as Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb will be getting a rematch for those against Bullet Club’s Chase Owens & Bad Luck Fale. FTR could end up becoming the tag team equivalent of Ultimo Dragon when he had all the different Junior Heavyweight titles draped on him, and I would love to see it.
AEW bringing in a new title is a great surprise, but was still hoping for Trios titles. The All-Atlantic title looks beautiful, but a little oddly named when Asia and Australia don’t touch the Atlantic… But what a great tournament with a lot of great match-ups, and I can’t wait to see who NJPW throws in. PAC VS Buddy tonight was a great opener to that series, but you can bet Malakai will beat Penta so that there aren’t two Death Triangle members in the Fatal 4 Way. Ethan VS Miro will surely go Miro’s way, and I feel like Miro will be a front runner for that belt. Pac and Malakai will cancel out, the NJPW entrant will just be there for star power, Miro will go on a tear like he did with the TNT title.
Great battle royal to open the night, I still continue to like how AEW’s wrestlers realize they can go under the top rope to do whatever they want outside. I am a little disappointed Swerve turned on Keith and seemed to be tilting towards Heel right after Keith & Swerve said they were going to be a two man power trip. A very dumb, WWE style move there. Kingston has a great promo after where he gets meta about TV direction, and he of course eggs on JAS and we’ll be getting more heat going towards Blood & Guts. And fans were super behind Yuta, but avoiding Blackpool Combat Club VS Blackpool Combat Club was a fair choice.
We get an awesome main event, but it makes a lot of sense for Moxley to win. Kyle is great but he and Fish are still more about the tag division and the Undisputed Elite story. Moxley also had a great promo to make a point that he has been the bridge between AEW and NJPW, and no offense to Goto, but Tanahashi is definitely winning at Dominion. It was meant to be Tanahashi VS Punk, Moxley has been wanting more matches with Tanahashi, we’re definitely getting Tanahashi VS Moxley, and I would think Moxley wins to be interim champion to take on whoever and then await Punk’s return. This kind of predictability borders on boring, because there were many possibilities, but Moxley could still lose the interim title before Punk returns for a shocking match-up, like Punk VS Bryan.
My Score: 8.8/10

AEW Continental Classic, Gold League: Will Ospreay VS Ricochet!
Wait, are the fans throwing white streamers or is that… No, yeah, it’s toilet paper! Ospreay laughs at the fans basically calling Ricochet crap. Ricochet throws the toilet paper back! The bell rings and we’re on the clock. The fans fire up for Ospreay as he and Ricochet circle. The fans also sing, “F HIM UP, OSPREAY, F HIM UP!” Ricochet shrugs that off, he and Ospreay tie up, and then Ricochet rolls. Ospreay shoots in, waistlocks, but Ricochet switches. They go around, Ricochet gator rolls with Ospreay, then floats to a headlock. Ricochet wrenches, hammerlocks then headlocks again. Ospreay powers up and out, Ricochet runs him over, but Ospreay kips up!
The fans cheer and Ospreay smiles as he and Ricochet reset. They tie up, go around, and Ricochet wrenches to a wristlock. Ospreay rolls, wrenches and wristlocks, but Ricochet spins and wrenches to hammerlock. Ospreay reaches back, headlocks and hits a takeover. Ricochet rolls to a cover, TWO! Ospreay holds onto the headlock but Ricochet powers up and out. Ospreay runs Ricochet over, Ricochet bails out, and then Ospreay handsprings to fake Ricochet out! The fans cheer as Ospreay superhero lands out, and Ricochet is annoyed. Ospreay holds ropes open for Ricochet, but Ricochet goes around the way to step in on his own.
The fans boo Ricochet being a bad sport but Ricochet ignores that. Ospreay and Ricochet knuckle lock, then Ricochet kicks low! And CHOPS! Ricochet whips, Ospreay reverses, but Ricochet rolls off Ospreay’s back! Things keep moving, Ospreay avoids the handspring to then duck ‘n’ dodges and RANA! But Ricochet handsprings through! The ref counts, Ricochet and Ospreay slowly let g o, and Ricochet SLAPS Ospreay! Ospreay CHOPS Ricochet!

Ricochet arm-drags Ospreay down, but Ospreay headscissors back! Ricochet pops free but Ospreay arm-drags! Ricochet headscissors, Ospreay pops free, and Ospreay handsprings, but Ricochet catches him! Ricochet then THROWS Ospreay into the Tree of Woe, and Ospreay falls down! The fans boo while Ospreay bails out, but Ricochet FOSBURY FLOPS! The fans boo but Ricochet takes the toilet paper to wipe himself, then he SMOTHERS Ospreay with it!
The fans boo that literally disgusting act of disrespect, but Collision goes picture in picture.
Ricochet taunts the fans, then drags Ospreay up. Ricochet puts Ospreay in, soaks up more heat, then KNEE-BOARD SENTONS! Ricochet swaggers to taunt the fans more, then he goes back to Ospreay. Adam Cole heads to the ring!
The fans cheer as the Panama City Playboy returns to the Hammerstein Ballroom, and yes, they join in for the “BOOM~!” and the “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY~!” Cole grabs a mic, but he keeps his eyes on the ramp. That’s because we all know who’s next. MJF makes his entrance, but with a handful of security guards in front of him first. And not even AEW security, that’s his own personal security. MJF grabs a mic and has them cut his music. The fans boo but MJF tells them, “If I wanted your help, I’d ask for it. Sit down and shut up.” The fans tell MJF to STFU, but MJF shrugs that off.
MJF tells Cole that MJF is frustrated. It’s because for the past few months, MJF has had to listen to Cole say MJF is Cole’s biggest enemy! If memory serves, and MJF’s memory always does because unlike the fans here, he isn’t a complete moron… Didn’t Cole turn on MJF? But then does Cole realize he has bigger enemies out there? Like spray tan, cracks in the floor, gusts of win, and maybe… a cavity. Because last MJF heard, Cole’s dentist isn’t seeing him anymore. Cole was already staring daggers into MJF, but now he’s pissed. MJF has Cole calm down, and he tells the fans to shut up so he can shoot straight.
When MJF was the longest-reigning and greatest AEW World Champion of all time, Cole was nothing more than MJF’s cute little sidekick. That ate Cole up inside. Cole wanted to be MJF. Cole wanted #TripleB. But the sad truth is, Cole had many opportunities to win the title before MJF got anywhere near it. It’s almost like when it comes to Cole being elite enough to become world champion, just like his “s*itty little ankle,” Cole blows it. MJF laughs at his own joke, and then tells the fans he is talking, it is not that complicated. But this is why MJF doesn’t buy the hogwash that Cole turned on MJF because MJF would turn on Cole first.
Cole turned because he, like all these shmucks, is jealous of MJF. And who can blame Cole? MJF is rich, handsome, funny, entertaining, and then look at Cole. For crying out loud, Cole used to be ADAM COLE BAYBAY. Now, he’s just a crack baby! Cole asks if MJF is done. Was that the last line? Because it felt like MJF practiced that for two weeks in front of a mirror. But MJF killed it, really. Cole could come back with childish comments to hurt MJF’s feelings, but he won’t. Cole could mention MJF has had two surgeries on that fake head of hair of his while only in his 20s, which is hilarious, but he won’t.
Cole could talk about how MJF pulled some strings to get his girlfriend hired, like the real politician he is, but Cole won’t go there. Cole could talk about how every single time MJF enters a room, everyone waits for him to leave because he is loud, obnoxious and annoying as hell. But Cole won’t go there. Because Cole is not like MJF. They are nothing alike. That is why the friendship was ruined. Because, MJF, the truth is you say Cole is a failure, but in virtually every wrestling company Cole has worked for, he is the longest-reigning champion in so many!
In this very building, Cole bled BUCKETS against Kyle O’Reilly, wanting to prove he was one of the best in the world, and that is exactly what he did! Does Cole have regrets? Sure. Are there things Cole wishes he could take back? Absolutely. But Cole does NOT regret turning on MJF. The only reason it drives MJF insane is because Cole beat MJF to it. That’s MJF 101: Get close to someone, then turn on them. It’s what MJF does. Cole just did it better than MJF, and MJF knows it.
But Cole has been thinking, trying to understand what’s going on in MJF’s head, and he finally figured it out. MJF is terrified of having anyone close to him, because he feels it is a weakness. That hit a chord? Because not only does MJF act like a child, he thinks like a child! MJF knows in his heart that he was going to be the one to turn on Cole first! DAMN RIGHT HE WAS!!! MJF realizes he let the cat out of the bag. MJF says congrats, Cole, he solved the mystery! A regular Scooby-Doo! Great job, Adam.
But you want the truth? Here it is. The fact of the matter is, last year at Worlds End, MJF had every intention on stabbing Cole in the back that night. Cole just got lucky. When #BetterThanYouBaybay started, MJF didn’t give a damn about Cole. Cole was nothing more than a pawn. But MJF will admit, he did eventually start to care. For the first time in MJF’s life, he cared about someone else. Fans mockingly go, “Aww…” But MJF says that is just when Cole became a liability. And since Cole’s “a fragile little freak,” him jumping off that ramp and exploding his ankle made him a distraction!
Distractions, liabilities, emotions, there are no room for those when all you should be concerned with is maintaining the world championship! But Cole doesn’t get it, does he? Last year was a fluke. Cole ain’t the Devil, he just beat the Devil to it. But this year, Worlds End, December 28th, the same show where Cole tried to end MJF’s world, MJF ENDS Cole!! MJF throws down the mic and the fans are torn. Cole smirks and says MJF ends things then? Well, how about Cole ends this? COLE DECKS MJF! The guards rush in, but Cole fights them off! MJF sends more but Cole SUPERKICSK! And SUPERKICKS! And SUPERKICKS!
But then MJF LOW BLOWS Cole! MJF tells the fans to shut up! MJF takes out the Dynamite Diamond Ring! But then The Kingdom rushes out here! MJF runs away from Matt Taven & Mike Bennett, but he vows this ends at Worlds End. We have one week left, is that the last week Cole has in AEW? Or will MJF finally lose the one thing he has left in that diamond ring?
Backstage interview with Kris Statlander.
Lexy Nair is with the #BornAgainKristen and brings up her trying to make amends with Willow Nightingale last night, as well as making the save when Harley Cameron & Penelope Ford were beating Willow up. Kris says what she and Willow have to discuss is between them. But as far as her and Penelope go, they’ve got a lot of history, and if Ford wants a fight, Kris will give her a fight. Then speaking of history, Kris still has her eyes set on the TBS Championship, can she tells us more on that?
Kris says she looked back on 2024 and she had a downward spiral that started with losing that title. Maybe if she wins it back, Kris will right her wrongs. On that note, Mercedes Mone, you don’t have an opponent for Worlds End so here Kris is. Let her know when you’re ready for round two. Kris heads out, will she prove to everyone that she is still the Galaxy’s Greatest?
Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy.
AEW returns and Lexy is now with Freshly Squeezed. In exactly one week, he will compete against three other men for the AEW World Championship. There are a lot of combustible elements at play, and Cassidy says yeah, we saw that on Dynamite. Jay White, Hangman Page and Cassidy can’t exactly have a conversation. So really, Cassidy wants them to listen. “Between now and Worlds End, Jon Moxley can run and hide. He can hide behind his goons, he can run away in a pickup truck. But when that bell rings in seven days, he has nowhere to go. He will be in the ring with us. Us three. And you both know that we need to remove Jon Moxley from the equation.
“We can. We’ve done it. And after that, us three, we can fight for the AEW World Championship and one of us will become the AEW World Champion. Just something to think about. See you guys on Dynamite.” Cassidy is ready to remove the Maniac from the throne, but will the Switchblade and Cowboy listen to reason?

Kris, after the year I’ve been having, I was planning on taking Worlds End off. I was planning on going to the Ritz in Boston.” The fans boo Boston, but Mone says since it’s the holidays, Mone feels like being nice. She already beat Kris once anyway, so she’ll just beat her twice! At Worlds End, you see that money changes everything, because Mone is the greatest TBS Champion of all time!
The challenge has been accepted, and Mone is looking to be busy before the New Year. Will Kris make her regret it?
Big Boom AJ & Big Justice return to the ring.
They’re getting Christmas Collision ready to bring the BOOM, but out comes Chris Jericho, who is still ROH World Champion after overcoming Matt Cardona last night at Final Battle. And he has Bryan Keith & “Big Bill” Morrissey with him as he asks if AJ has a permit for being here tonight. Did they talk with Mayor DeBlasio? Because they certainly didn’t run this past Jericho. Do they know who he is? Big Justice says yeah, he knows! “You’re a JACKASS!” Jericho is taken aback, but the fans agree with Justice. The Bad Apple says this is why dumbass kids should be sitting and not heard. Jericho says yeah!
And if being a jackass means he’s the King of New York, then Jericho’s the biggest jackass! And besides, Jericho talks for everyone here saying we do not want AJ & Justice here! The fans boo, they disagree with Jericho. But Jericho says they don’t even have Costcos in New York! New Yorkers shop at bodegas. Fans are torn, because they kind of agree. Jericho says his favorite is the Walgreens a few blocks over in Flushing. And speaking of Flushing, that’s where AJ & Justice belong: in the toilet! This is the Hammerstein Ballroom, the House that Jericho built! The fans boo that, it’s the House that Hardcore built.
But Jericho says there’s no time for goofy gimmicks like BOOM~, or bandit masks, or scissoring! Scissor me, Bad Apple~! But then wait! The Acclaimed is here! Well, Anthony Bowens is, at least. Bowens pushes past The Learning Tree and he joins AJ & Justice in the ring. Bowens has the music cut, and he tells Jericho that he doesn’t get why Scissor King is catching strays, but you caught his attention. Jericho is trying to intimidate a man in a walking boot and an 11 year old child while spouting nonsense about being the King of New York. Why doesn’t Jericho do what he has asked so many others in the past: SHUT THE HELL UP!
The fans cheer but Big Bill says, “As the Learning Tree always says, when a man tries to silence another man, he’s probably afraid of the truth.” The fans do cheer Big Bill because he is from New York. Bowens says he has no idea what that means, Bill. But he does know we’re live on TNT, Christmas Collision, Hammerstein Ballroom, New York City! So Chris, why not walk your ass to this ring and get it whipped by the Scissor King?! Jericho says if Bowens wants him to do that, then not tonight. Jericho waves bye, but AJ says hold on, listen up. We know Jericho is running scared, but we know at some point, Bowens will get to bring the-
Bowens stops the Boom? Because he wants to scissor! AJ says okay, and they SCISSOR BOOM~! But is that true? Will Anthony Bowens be the one to tear down the Learning Tree and be a champion?
Backstage interview with The Vendetta.
Lexy is now with Deonna Purrazzo & Taya Valkyrie, and they’ve got a hot streak going. Deonna’s message last week was ominous, but who was it for? Taya says there are so many options. Everyone deserves a slice of The Vendetta. There’s Mercedes, Mariah, Toni Storm, even Lexy could get some, so watch your back. Speaking of Toni, she stumbles in and apologizes for interrupting. She just wants to say hi to everyone, hello. Oh, Deonna, a pleasure. Deonna says she knows who Toni is. R-Really? So cool! Taya says she’ll make a guess: Toni has a tattoo on her leg, a little duck with a knife through it.
Wow, how’d Taya know? Deonna says no no no, she is not doing this again. She does not get what sick crap Toni’s up to, but she is already done with it. So for Dynamite’s Miracle on 34th Street, Toni VS Taya! Taya says she’ll make Toni forget everything! Toni nervously thanks The Vendetta, and says this is a big opportunity to face someone like Taya. The cluster keeps her away from Mariah but fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT!” Rosa holds up the AEW Women’s World Championship, will she send the “Woman From Hell” back where she came from in order to have the gold again?
AEW Continental Classic, Gold League: Darby Allin VS Claudio Castagnoli!
While The Relentless One has been after each and every Death Rider, he gets one served up to him on a silver platter. But will Darby bring down the Swiss Superman before the final round? Or will Claudio crush Darby’s hopes and dreams this close to Christmas?
But before Claudio even gets in the ring, Darby DIVES out onto him! The fans fire up as Darby fires fast hands! Claudio gets away but Darby pursues, jumps on, and throws more hands! Claudio carries Darby up the ramp to then THROW him down! Darby writhes, Claudio drags him up, and Claudio gorilla presses! Darby slips free, goes to the entry, and then dodges Claudio to send him into the light truss! And then he shoves Claudio into it again! Claudio falls, and now Darby climbs up!? The fans fire up as Darby is up on the camera balcony! Darby SUPER CROSSBODIES Claudio down!
Claudio tumbles down the ramp and Darby sputters while fans lose their minds. The ref checks Darby, his fall was still really wicked. Claudio sits up in a daze as he’s now ringside, and somehow Darby pursues! They both get in the ring, the bell rings, and Darby runs up! But into a POP-UP UPPERCUT!! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and Claudio is already frustrated. Claudio drags Darby by his legs, to GIANT SWING~! The fans count as Darby goes around and around, and Claudio goes past TEN, past FIFTEEN, past TWENTY, and all the way to THIRTY!! Darby flounders out of the ring while Collision goes picture in picture.
The ref goes out to check on Darby, and somehow he’s okay to continue. Claudio steps out to fetch Darby, and lift shim up with one hand! Claudio then gut wrenches and carries Darby, to SLAM him onto railing! And DUMP him down! Claudio drags Darby up again, gut wrenches again, and he TOSSES Darby onto the railing! Darby flops back down and clutches his lower back, but Claudio leaves him behind. The ring count begins but Darby sits up. Claudio goes out after him again, and brings him up to CHOP! Darby staggers away to a corner, Claudio storms up and CHOPS again! Darby flops down but Claudio looms over him.
Claudio gets space, runs up, and he UPPERCUTS Darby against railing! Darby stumbles away, Claudio goes to the ring, but Darby rolls in, just to roll back out. The Swiss Superman screws over Darby, but then he gets that chair back. But wait, Ospreay slides into the ring! And HE has the brass knuckles that Claudio tossed aside! Ospreay dares Claudio to do something, but Claudio simply leaves. Does this mean Ospreay’s ready to ride against the Death Riders with Darby? Or will we see a Miracle on 34th Street send Ospreay and Darby to Worlds End?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision here as the last one before Worlds End, and therefore a bit of a go-home in itself. While the continued feud of MJF and Cole has still been a bit clunky since they did the double turn, their faceoff did a good job addressing some of that. They got good digs at each other as always, and MJF snapping and revealing “the truth” was their big move to recover this story. We of course got a brawl, and good save by The Kingdom. It feels like MJF still finds a way to hold onto the diamond ring, but c’mon, how fitting is it for Cole to get a diamond.
Good bit with Toni Storm and The Vendetta, and Deonna’s reaction to Toni was great. Deonna is justified in thinking this is still an act from Toni, not a legitimate psychological problem, and Toni VS Taya will be good stuff. Good promo from Kris Statlander, good match from her and Penelope Ford, and of course a good win for Kris. Good promo from Mone to make Worlds End official, but as I’ve been saying, Mone is more likely to lose the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship as part of the big NJPW Tokyo Dome weekend. The irony is, Mina Shirakawa is her challenger and Mina shows up plenty in AEW, so I don’t know how that math is supposed to work.
Good promo from Mariah May as it also turned into a brawl with Thunder Rosa. As it stands, Rosa standing tall holding up the belt means she is NOT winning at Worlds End, but they could still give us a little more from Rosa and Mariah on Dynamite’s Christmas episode to turn the tables. Good promo from Julia Hart to respond to Jamie Hayter, they’ll have a good match. Good promo from Orange Cassidy to try and reason with Jay White and Hangman Page, but that’s all the more reason Moxley likely uses the challengers all against each other like he did on Wednesday. Though, it would be fun if they at least started the match all annihilating Moxley with their finishers, making us think it’ll work out in favor of “Team AEW.”
Good stuff with Big Boom AJ & Big Justice here tonight, both hyping up the show but also interacting with Jericho’s group and even Anthony Bowens. They’re adding some more foreshadowing to The Acclaimed breaking up, and I guess we’re supposed to see this as a positive move, Bowens feuding with Jericho. Unless Bowens is going to be the guy that dethrones Jericho for whatever ROH cable TV debut/return is planned, the Jericho Vortex strikes again. Bowens should be going for an AEW midcard title, but right now, those are all tied up what with the C2 going on and the International Championship being tied up in Worlds End and NJPW plans.
Speaking of the C2, great stuff with all the matches tonight. Shelton VS Garcia was great stuff, and while Garcia gets the win, they’re still giving us some set-up for a TNT Championship match of Garcia VS Shelton. Mark Briscoe of course made the save, but great surprise for Swerve to show up. Lashley VS Swerve for Worlds End just needs to be said, it already feels a given. All that brawling was also a good segue into Mark VS Mortos, and another great showing for Mortos, even in losing. But as Mark has already had all his matches and is at 9 points, Kyle doesn’t even need to win against Garcia, he just needs to draw so that Mark will be out, and Garcia with him.
While Ospreay VS Darby on Wednesday raised the bar, Ospreay VS Ricochet still had great stuff of its own. Plus, Ricochet is bringing out more of his Heel side what with using the ref, and Ricochet’s win puts the pressure on Ospreay for Christmas Dynamite. Now, no offense to Brody King, but I’m thinking Ospreay wins that to take one of the semifinal spots. Darby VS Claudio tonight was also great, but Darby doing his best Sting off the truss was not the best when he gets that whiplash on the floor. I really thought that match was going to be called for concussion protocol, but Darby’s weirdly indestructible.
Claudio still cheats this win so there’s more heat on the Death Riders and Darby is also behind the 8 ball. Ospreay making the save was good, we can definitely have another “Team AEW” VS Death Riders with Ospreay joining Darby and a couple others, but the way they did the order of matches, Claudio’s got a seemingly easy ride against Komander for Christmas. Though, how awesome would it be if Komander pulled off the spoiler? Or if they were really going to add some drama, they should create a situation where the Death Riders end up ringside, violating the Continental Rules of no cornermen and that disqualifies Claudio. Claudio misses out on the semifinals because of a technicality, sending Ospreay and maybe Ricochet to the semifinals.
My Score: 8.8/10

Tony Schiavone is in the ring!
Schiavone welcomes out the Blue League’s current points leader, Kyle Fletcher, and of course… Don Callis. But they’re not alone as the rest of the Don Callis Family makes their way out to the ring. Wait, shouldn’t Brian Cage be in New York for Final Battle…? Well anyway, Schiavone says there’s a lot of gold and- Callis takes the mic, and he says, “I have something important to say.” The fans boo and Schiavone excuses himself as Callis says the Don Callis Family are the TRUE One Percenters of professional wrestling! They prove it each and every day!
Murder Machines: The most feared tag team in the world! “Don Callis’ favorite wrestler,” Kyle Fletcher, shows every day why he is THE One Percent! He beat Will Ospreay! He beat Kazuchika Okada! And now, he’s gonna beat Daniel Garcia and win the Continental Classic! Callis hands the mic over to Kyle and Kyle says it might be true that last Saturday wasn’t the best day for Kyle, but anyone watching that match saw the clear bias from the officials in this company! The fans boo as Kyle claims there is an agenda in AEW to see the Don Callis Family NOT succeed. But it doesn’t matter, it changes nothing!
Kyle WILL be the winner of the 2024 Continental Classic. That brings Kyle to Daniel Garcia. “You wanna talk about restoring the feeling, Daniel? I couldn’t care less about your feelings! All I speak are facts! And the fact is, I am the hottest young prospect in this industry, and I will be the future of this whole place!” The fans boo more but Callis says one last thing he wants to say, is when you’re the One Percent, you’re not like the other 99! They are not like all of these fans! They are not like “the boys in the back,” like Mark Davis & Will Hobbs, “a couple of scab workers!” They’re not even in the same business, Hobbs!
And Callis has waited to get Hobbs on a PPV so that the world could watch why they call Konosuke Takeshita “The Alpha.” And Hobbs, YOU are not in the same business as Konosuke, and you find that out at Worlds End! But speaking of, here comes the Powerhouse! Will he and Dunkzilla finish things with the Don Callis Family? Or will the AEW International and ROH World TV Champions get even for last week?

If it wasn’t clear before, this was a painful punctuation mark, Komander is mathematically ELIMINATED from the semifinals. However, Komander’s final C2 match is Dynamite’s Miracle on 34th Street against Claudio Castagnoli! Can Komander be the biggest spoiler of this entire tournament? Can Brody prove to everyone in the Gold League that the House Always Wins?
My Thoughts:
A great Rampage here for Holiday Bash, though some clear redundancies from last week’s Winter is Coming edition. We got another group Don Callis Promo, and we barely got anything different from Callis and Kyle. The tag match’s only changes were Cage switching in for Archer, even though Cage is in reality defending his ROH World TV Championship in the Hammerstein Ballroom for Final Battle, and then the Callis Family wins this time so Hobbs and Konosuke can be even going towards Worlds End. Now, Konosuke could very well retain the International Championship at Worlds End because NJPW is totally open to Konosuke Takeshita VS Shingo Takagi being Winner Takes All, AEW International and NEVER Openweight titles on the line together.
Lio & Action of course won their match, but the real purpose was to get a confrontation out of them, Private Party and OG Top Flight, Darius & Dante. Good stuff, and it teases anywhere between a Triple Threat to Lio & Action VS Darius & Dante Round 2. Very good promo from Triple J to set up for something, anything really, for 2025. Fight for the Fallen can even be the start of whatever that plan is as part of the “mother of all streams.” And good stuff with the women’s division tonight. Ford & Harley makes a natural duo now given their names, and Willow and Kris could possibly reunite now that Kris is a Face again. That wouldn’t really make up for the weird fumble in the middle where Tony Khan just wanted Kris to get away from Stokely, but hey, this story itself could be really well done.
And great stuff out of Brody VS Komander, really got the drama going before the end. I mean, we all knew Komander was out of the running before tonight, and was most certainly taking the loss here, but Komander got to really show some grit. And now, five people at 6 points going into the final round, they’re really adding great drama to Gold League. Collision tomorrow and then Dynamite Miracle on 34th Street will be some great stuff, but I still think Ospreay should be one of the semifinalists, the second spot can be whoever they want.
My Score: 8.8/10
