Jon Moxley is here!

The UNDISPUTED AEW World Champion is in Chicago, and Chicago is fired up to see him entering from the crowd side! Moxley takes his time to enjoy the cheers before getting in the ring. He gets the mic and fans suddenly start chanting for CM Punk, but plenty of fans still chant for Moxley. Moxley shrugs and says, “Chicago, I know you love your boy, but I think they’re still mopping him off the mat in Cleveland.” Fans get real riled up hearing that. But if they wanna talk about it, let’s talk about it! Moxley once heard CM Punk described as, “The Modern Sixty Minute Man.” What a load of crap that turned out to be!

Moxley had 57 minutes left in him last week, but did Punk? Moxley doesn’t think so. “When guys get in the ring with me, the Undisputed AEW World Champion, the heart and soul of AEW, we find out what they’re really made of. I test them, I push them. And last week, we learned exactly what CM Punk is made of. At the moment where he hit me as hard as he could, he gave me his best shot, and he realized I didn’t care. And he knew I was just gonna keep coming forward, and keep coming forward, all night. At that exact moment, he started looking for a way out.” Fans boo but Moxley says it’s true! Punk claimed his foot hurt and he folded up into a little ball to die!

Fans duel again between Moxley and Punk, but Moxley says champions never fold. They have no idea how genuinely sorry Moxley is that Punk didn’t turn out to be what Chicago wanted him to be, or what anyone wanted him to be when he got back into this business. We all gave him a second chance in the greatest sport in the world, and it just didn’t work out. And while Moxley is sorry for that, he knows Chicago loves him,  Moxley has ZERO sympathy for Punk! That is because CM Punk has a fragile ego, fragile body, weak mind and weak spirit. The business is tough, it is what it is, and we move on.

Speaking of, Moxley has in his pocket an Open Challenge contract for a title match at All Out! It’s already signed, so he’ll just leave it right here. Because when he says anybody, anytime, any place, he means it! Fans chant for MJF, but Moxley says who knows who will sign this contract. Maybe it’s someone in AEW, maybe it’s someone from somewhere else. Maybe it’s someone from NJPW. Mox runs that, too! Does Rocky Romero have anyone else left? Let Moxley know! But whoever signs the contract, whoever wants to fight Mox, whoever wants to find out exactly what they’re made of, know this:

Before you step into the ring with Jon Moxley, he can out marathon you, he can out sprint you, he can out fight you, and he can out wrestle you. And it doesn’t matter who you are, he can assure you, he gives far fewer you-know-what’s than you do. He is the UNDISPUTED AEW World Champion, he is the fire-breathing, blood-spitting, living embodiment of pro-wrestling! He is indominable personified! “Wrestling Jon Moxley may be hazardous to your health. Whoever you are, you’ve been warned!” Moxley throws down the challenge, who will accept it to go All Out this Sunday?

Wait, someone heads to the ring!

AEW Producer, Ace Steel, grabs up the contract? He is a friend to CM Punk, and he puts the contract in his pocket. Is he going to sign it? Or is he hand delivering it to the Best in the World?

Backstage interview with Chris Jericho.

Tony Schiavone reminds us of the 1v1 match between Lionheart Jericho and the American Dragon, Bryan Danielson, this Sunday at All Out. Jericho says the Lionheart VS The American Dragon is a dream match for most, but a nightmare match for one, and that one is Bryan. And Jericho will tell us all why. Last week, Bryan asked if Stu Hart & Owen Hart were still alive, who would they think is the better wrestler between Jericho and Bryan. That has been bugging Jericho all week. Then Jericho realized, the Harts would appreciate Bryan’s wrestling skills a little more, but they would appreciate what Jericho’s done in the business way more.

Jericho has changed the game, accomplished so much, and that would impress Stu & Owen. And those accolades are going to include beating Bryan this Sunday. But in steps Daniel Garcia. He apologizes for being immature and ungrateful, and he pledges his loyalty to the Jericho Appreciation Society through and through. And this Sunday, Garcia knows Jericho will beat Bryan. Jericho’s the Lionheart, the Greatest Of All Time, it won’t even be close. And Garcia knows Jericho won’t need to cheat or attack from behind or have a distraction to do it. All Jericho needs to do is be the best version of himself, because Garcia believes in him.

Jericho appreciates that, and he believes in Garcia, too. Garcia is the most technically gifted Sports Entertainer in the world today! And this Sunday, it will be Lionheart Jericho. But until then, all’s far in wrestling and romance. So watch you back, Bryan! Garcia doesn’t like the sound of that, but will he accept the way Jericho does things now that he’s fully dedicated to the JAS?

Bryan Danielson VS Jake Hager!

William Regal joins commentary, as does Chris Jericho, but this match is meant to be just the American Dragon taking on the Big Hurt. Will Hager put the hurt on Bryan to tenderize him for Lionheart Chris Jericho at All Out?

The bell rings and the two circle. Fans rally for Bryan, but they also still sing some of Judas. Bryan tests the waters with kicks but Hager stays up. Hager pushes Bryan to ropes but Bryan gets free to KICK the leg. Hager shakes that off and circles with Bryan again. Bryan gets a leg but Hager facelocks to block. Hager puts Bryan in the corner while fans taunt him with “WE THE PEOPLE!” The ref counts but Hager throws body shots! The ref counts and reprimands, and Hager lets off at 4. Hager then TOSSES Bryan across the ring! Hager runs in but Bryan BOOTS him! Bryan jumps on but Hager stays up in the Guillotine hold!

Hager grits his teeth and powers up to throw Bryan off! Bryan baits Hager in, throws him out and builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit and Hager hits railing! Fans fire up as Bryan goes the apron for the LEAP, but into Hager’s arms! Hager runs and SPINEBUSTERS Bryan through the timekeeper’s table! Chicago loses its mind over that one! Hager gets up and roars but fans boo. Hager points to Jericho on commentary and then drags Bryan up. Hager POSTS Bryan, then POSTS him again! Bryan writhes, clutching his back, and the ring count climbs. Hager hauls Bryan up to suplex him to the floor! The ref reprimands but Hager gets in the ring to refresh the count.

Hager looms over Bryan, puts him in the ring, then rains down forearms! Bryan guards but Hager just keeps hammering him! Bryan tries to get Hager’s leg but Hager holds off the grapevine to then ROCK Bryan with a right hand! Hager paces around Bryan while fans boo, but Hager hauls Bryan up into a corner. Hager RAMS his shoulder in, lets off as the ref counts, and then he carries Bryan around for a SPINEBUSTER! Fans boo and AEW goes picture in picture.

Hager looms over Bryan, digs his knee into Bryan’s back, and then brings Bryan back with some chicken wings. Bryan endures and fans rally up. Bryan fights up to his feet, puts Hager in a corner, and Hager lets off, to CHOP Bryan down! Bryan throws body shots but Hager CLUBS him! Hager CHOPS Bryan again, and Bryan staggers away to another corner. Hager CHOKES Bryan on the ropes, but lets off as the ref counts. Hager stomps Bryan in the corner, lets off again, then digs his boot in. The ref counts as Hager stands on Bryan’s chest, and Hager hops off at 4. Hager blows a kiss to Chicago then drags Bryan up.

Hager tosses Bryan out of the ring, goes out after him, and RAMS him into railing! Fans fire up as Hager RAMS Bryan into more railing! Hager then puts Bryan back in the ring, soaks up the heat from Chicago and flexes as he paces around. Hager stalks Bryan to a corner, stands him up, and throws heavy body shots. Hager hoists Bryan up top, fans rally, and Hager CHOPS Bryan again! Dynamite returns to single picture as Hager climbs, and he CHOPS Bryan again! Hager shows off how big his hand is, and he ROCKS Bryan with haymaker after haymaker! Fans count, Hager stops at 5 because the ref is counting, but Bryan stands up! MISSILE DROPKICK!

Fans fire up while both men are down! Bryan fires himself up as the standing count climbs! Bryan gets to ropes at 4, dodges Hager and fires off KICKS! Hager drops, Bryan KICKS him more and more! Bryan powers up to BUZZSAW! Cover, TWO! But Bryan hurries to clamp on, for HAMMER ‘N” ANVIL ELBOWS! Hager blocks one, snapmares Bryan and then hoists him up! Bryan sunset flips through, but Hager drags him up! Bryan wants the ARMBAR, but Hager stays up to rain down HAMMER FISTS! But Bryan uses that to get a TRIANGLE HOLD! Bryan throws more elbows, but Hager deadlifts him! POWERBOMB!

Hager catches his breath, crawls after Bryan, and he throws down more hammer fists! Bryan again catches Hager, for the omoplata! Hager resists as Bryan reaches for his head, and he pushes Bryan back! ANKLE LOCK! Bryan endures, rolls, and leg picks to get the arm! LEBELL LOCK!! Hager reaches, fans are thunderous, and Hager crawls to the ROPEBREAK! Fans boo but Bryan lets off. Hager gets to a corner, fans rally up and Bryan CHOPS Hager! And KICKS! And CHOPS! And KICKS! Another CHOP, then Bryan runs corner to corner to DROPKICK! Bryan goes again, but Hager scoops him for an URENAGE!

Hager moves around to go for the Head ‘n’ Arm, but Bryan slips around to make it a cover, TWO!! Hager lets off, Bryan dodges him, comes back, BUSAIKU KNEE!! Cover, Bryan wins!

Winner: Bryan Danielson, by pinfall

Chicago is fired up, but here comes Angelo Parker & Matthew Menard! The JAS won’t let Bryan be in good shape for All Out, they’re mugging him right in the ring! But here comes the BCC! Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta rush the ring and brawl with Cool Hand Ange and Daddy Magic! Claudio TOSSES Parker out of the ring, Yuta kicks Menard out! The brawling continues and Claudio sends Parker up the ramp! Yuta RAMS Menard into railing! Claudio drags Parker to the back and Yuta starts sending Menard that way. But Jericho brings a chair to the ring! Le Champion wants some insurance, but GARCIA rushes out here!

Garcia snatches the chair from Jericho!! Garcia and Jericho argue, they just talked about how Lionheart Jericho shouldn’t need all this! Jericho is upset, he turns around to look for Bryan, and gets a BUSAIKU KNEE for it!! Fans cheer as Bryan gets even with the JAS, and Garcia is conflicted all over again. Will that affirmation of loyalty mean nothing when Jericho isn’t even honest enough to face Bryan head on?

The Wingmen are in the ring… protesting?

Peter Avalon, Cezar Bononi, JD Drake & Ryan Nemeth have suddenly appeared, and while the others hold up picket signs with slogans like “MORE WINGMEN ON TBS & TNT,” “MORE WINGMEN ON TV!” and “GIVE THE WINGMEN MORE SCREENTIME,” the Hollywood Hunk has the mic. “Well, well, well! Wednesday night again, and guess who’s not booked again? I’ll give you a clue: it’s the hottest, handsomest, sexiest, prettiest, hunkiest boys on the roster! The Wingmen!” Avalon gets the mic to say, “And from now on, Wednesday nights will be known as Wingman Wednesdays! Pinkies out, boys!”

Wait! W MORRISSEY is here! The 7 foot tall mountain of a man is back in AEW, and he is storming right up to the ring. The Wingmen stand their ground, JD Drake trying to keep everyone calm. But then Bononi rushes Morrissey, and gets a BOOT for it! Nemeth & Avalon try but they get DOUBLE CLOTHESLINES! Drake CHOPS, but Morrissey doesn’t flinch! Morrissey fires up and shouts, “You wanna hit me?!” Drake tries again but Morrissey choke grips! CHOKE SLAM! Stokely Hathaway walks out to the ring now as Morrissey grabs Nemeth, RAMS him into Bononi, then reel shim back in for an even bigger CHOKE SLAM! Morrissey BOOTS Bononi out of the ring!

Fans fire up for Morrissey while Avalon staggers around. Stokely watches from the apron and Avalon begs for mercy! But when Morrissey doesn’t walk away, Avalon figures what the hell! Avalon tears off his shirt, fires up and runs in, but into a choke grip! Morrissey holds Avalon way over head, tells someone, or maybe everyone, that he’s watching them, then hits a GIGANTIC CHOKE SLAM!! Stokely finally steps into the ring, and he hands Morrissey his card. Is this stable Stokely is building just gotten that much bigger?

Tony Schiavone stops them at the ramp to ask Stokely what all these offers are about. What is Stokely planning with these wrestlers he’s recruiting? Stokely says it’s none of our business. Now, hold on! This is AEW, so it IS our business! Stokely grabs Tony’s collar and gets in Tony’s face as he shouts, “I said it’s none of your business!!” Tony pushes Stokely back, but Morrissey steps up. Tony has them settle down but Chicago is on Tony’s side. But the question is valid: Just what is Stokely planning? How far is he going to expand his brand?

Backstage interview with The United Empire.

Alex Marvez is in the locker room area and notes that later tonight, our main event will be the “Dynamite Finals” of the AEW World Trios Championships Tournament, with Will Ospreay & The United Empire facing The Elite. Ospreay says finally, after all these years, after the Cease & Desists and the constant undermining, Ospreay gets Omega. But then Don Callis walks in. Callis tells “William” it’s been a long time since Japan. Great to see Ospreay lighting it up there. Callis admires everything Ospreay does, and his performance last week on Dynamite was “absolutely fantastic.”

Callis says a lot of people feel Ospreay is the “Next Kenny Omega.” But that’s not the case. Callis says Ospreay is his own man. This is Will BAH GAWD Ospreay! He’s the man everyone’s talking about. And tonight, this will be the most exciting match for Callis since the last time we saw Omega and Ospreay in a tag match against each other. Ospreay took a One Winged Angel that night, but surely this will be different. Callis pats Ospreay on the shoulder, but Ospreay tells Callis to go. Right, of course, they’ve got to get ready for the match. Marvez, you heard him, get outta here. Callis leaves, and Ospreay does agree there, he has Marvez leave.

It seems the IWGP US Heavyweight Champion didn’t appreciate two-faced Callis heaping on the praise there. Will Will Ospreay make Callis actually mean it the next time he says Ospreay’s absolutely fantastic?

Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida VS Britt Baker & Jamie Hayter w/ Rebel!

Thunder Rosa’s injury prevents her from defending the title at All Out, so these four women will fight in a Fatal 4 Way to crown an Interim AEW Women’s World Champion! Will there be dysfunction in either of the teams? Or will The Doctor and her assistant be united in gaining momentum for the title match?

The teams sort out and Shida wants after Britt, but Hayter pie faces her and says she’s Shida’s opponent! So Shida ROCKS Hayter! Hayter kicks low, headlocks, but Shida powers out. Hayter runs Shida over but Shida kips up! Fans fire up, Hayter runs and runs Shida over again! Hayter drags Shida up to scoop, but Shida slips off and dodges the haymaker to redirect Hayter and RANA! OW, that faceplant! The ref checks Hayter but Shida tags Storm. Hayter is somehow okay so Storm stands her up for a EuroUpper! Storm stomps a mudhole into Hayter in the corner, tags Shida back in, and Shida climbs up. Storm holds Hayter in place for the AX HANDLES!

Shida stalks Hayter, brings her back around and tags Storm back in. Storm climbs now and she drops AX HANDLES! Storm drags Hayter up but Hayter JAWBREAKERS her away! Hayter hurries and tags Britt! Britt runs in but into a drop toehold! Storm drags Britt and whips her to the corner. Storm UPPERCUTS Britt, sweeps the legs, then backs up, only for Hayter to be there! Storm BOOTS Hayter for sneaking up on her, but Britt waistlocks Storm! Britt wristlocks and ripcords, but Storm ROCKS Britt first! Britt wobbles, Storm ROCKS her again, then Storm whips. Britt reverses and Hayter trips Storm up!

Hayter hammers Storm’s legs and Britt hurries to grab at Storm’s head but the ref has them back off. Britt stomps Storm instead, the ref reprimands her and Hayter, who is still hammering the thighs, and AEW goes picture in picture.

Hayter and Britt finally let off, and Britt drags Storm up to talk trash. Britt puts Storm in the corner, stomps away, then goes outside to drag Storm deeper into the corner. Britt pulls on Storm’s arms to pull her into the post! Hayter taunts Shida, the ref counts, and Britt lets off. Britt gets in the ring, drags Storm up, and keeps her from Shida by pulling hair! Tag to Hayter, Hayter CLUBS Storm down, then bumps Storm off buckles. Hayter bumps Storm off buckles again, then soaks up the heat. Hayter CLUBS Storm, keeps her from Shida again, and stomps away. Storm snap suplexes Storm, covers, TWO!

Hayter puts Storm back in the corner, tags Britt in, and then Hayter DECKS Shida with a sucker punch! Britt CHOKES Storm and the ref reprimands them both. Britt lets off, argues with the ref, and Hayter CHOKES Storm now! Hayter lets off in time, then Britt digs her boots in. The ref counts, Britt lets off, and Britt brings Storm up to ROCK her. Storm hits back, Britt ROCKS and whips Storm to a corner. Britt runs corner to corner, into a back elbow! Storm goes up the corner but Britt ROCKS Her again! Britt climbs up after Storm, but Storm CLUBS away on her! Storm and Britt fight for control as Dynamite returns to single picture.

Storm ROCKS Britt and she hops off the corner, then Storm reels her in! TORNADO DDT! Britt hurries to tag Hayter, and Hayter drags Storm from Shida. Storm BOOTS Hayter away, then hot tags Shida! The Full Metal Samurai blocks a shot, ROCKS Hayter, then goes up the corner to rain down fists! The fans count all the way to 10, and Shida fires up to DROPKICK Hayter! Shida brings Hayter in to suplex, hold on, and SLAM her down! Fans fire up with Shida as she goes to the apron. Shida climbs up the ropes, and springboards to METEORA! Cover, Britt breaks it in time! Storm gets in and she SHOTGUNS Britt down!

Shida drags Hayter up and she coordinates with Storm. Hayter holds off the double suplex to DOUBLE SUPLEX them! Tag to Britt and she hurries to drag Shida up. Britt fisherman’s for the FISHERMAN SCREW! Cover, TWO! Britt keeps on Shida with a wristlock, ripcords, but Shida turns that into a roll-up! TWO!! Britt escapes, SUPERKICKS Shida, and Rebel fires up! Fans duel as Britt snarls and runs. Shida avoids the stomp to waistlock! Britt switches, ripcords again, ROLLING ELBOW! Shida wobbles and Britt gets her glove! But Shida gets up to go up the corner! VENUS SHOOT!! Fans fire up while both women are down!

Shida bails out of the ring, she sees Hayter reaching out, so Shida trips Hayter off the apron! Storm runs in to SWEET HIP MUSIC!! Storm then gets Hayter with a TORNADO DDT to the floor! Shida gets back in the ring, aims at Britt, KATANA KICK!! Cover, Shida & Storm win!

Winners: Toni Storm & Hikaru Shida, by pinfall

The #FullMetalStorm conquers the Doctor and her assistant! They shake hands, because they know that it will be every woman for herself on Sunday. Will Shida go All Out to become a double champion? Will it finally be #ToniTime in AEW? Or will we see a TWO-TIME AEW Women’s World Champion in Dr. Britt Baker, DMD?

AEW hears from Kip Sabian and PAC.

“I’m a stickler for the details, but even the most meticulously thought out master plan can’t prepare for the perfect opportunity to just fall at your feet.” The Bastard fell for the simplest of ruses in that decoy box head. Kip can read him like a book! But the All-Atlantic Champion says, “Underrated, underappreciated, over it? I get it, Kip. After what you did, Kip, you have pestered me and badgered me, you want a shot at the All-Atlantic Championship.” Kip says that title is the perfect detour. And Sunday, Pac will be the first to “embrace the change.” Will Mr. Superbad have the perfectly planned return to action by making Pac the first former All-Atlantic Champion?

Miro speaks.

“Malakai Black, all I wanted to do last week was redeem you. But you attacked me, and you put your hands on the Redeemer! Darby, Sting, the last one who tried to help me ended up shaking so hard in Heaven, he shook three hands in hell. My God was so scared that he made a deal with the devil to take me out. How is that working out for you, you coward?! You think your mist can match my power?”

But then Darby Allin steps in! “Malakai, I think you’re very intimidated with what Brody King has been able to accomplish without you. Think about it! You were nowhere around when he choked me out and won the Royal Rampage. You were nowhere around when he beat me in the middle of the ring on Dynamite. Malakai, you need Buddy and Brody, they don’t need you. And the sooner they realize that, the faster your House is gonna burn down. Sting walks in, and says, “The enemy of the enemy is a friend! Showtime begins now!”

Miro says this Sunday, he will wreck the fools and Pagans, and they will all find out his power. They will come in wearing masks to hide their fear, only to leave with ones that deliver oxygen. For this is the word of the Redeemer! Will the #RelentlessIcons help Miro lay waste to the House of Black once and for all?

CM Punk is here!

Chicago fires up for their hometown hero as he walks out to the ring. However, Punk doesn’t look as excited, though that has a lot to do with how he lost the AEW World Championship last week in Moxley’s territory. Punk gets in the ring, gets the mic and already looks emotional as fans chant his name. “June 1st, I broke my foot. And that would’ve been bad enough, but then I wrestled an entire match on it, and to quote my surgeon, he says I pulverized the bones in my foot. So okay. Accidents happen. On June 8th, I got surgery for my shattered foot. I got three plates and sixteen screws put into my foot.

“Which real quick, is sixteen more times than this fat guy’s ever gotten screwed in his life.” WHOA~! But that’s what you get for heckling. Fans cheer Punk for that one, and Punk continues. “I probably shouldn’t have said that. But I probably shouldn’t have done a lot of things in my career. And apparently one of them was coming back too early from a very serious injury. And last week, I got beat up in Cleveland, and I had to drive home with just my thoughts. It’s okay, Chicago, it’s not the first time I’ve been beat up in Cleveland. But something about this time just didn’t sit well with me. Is my foot 100%? To be completely honest with you, yes.

“Last week, I was cleared by doctors, the x-rays look good. But the problem is, it’s a new 100%. And I don’t know if that 100% is good enough.” Fans don’t like the sound of where this is going, but Punk says he came back to pro-wrestling a year ago because he loves the business. And he knows the business doesn’t always love you back, but he came back because he loves the fans. Fans cheer that, and Punk says they do love him back. That’s why it hurts to feel like he let them down. “I wasn’t able to walk Larry for two months, and it hurt because I let him down so I could rush back to perform in front of all of you.”

Punk looks and sees his little sister in the front row, he feels like he let her down. “Maybe that love just…” Punk has to take a moment, and then continues. “Maybe that love just isn’t enough anymore.” But then Ace Steel marches out to the ring! He gets Punk’s attention and asks, “What is this?” Ace gets in the ring with Punk and asks what Punk is saying. This isn’t what they talked about when they agreed he’d come out here. Ace isn’t sure what happened between there and here, but this isn’t Punk. Ace apologizes for interrupting, but he trained Punk, and has been his coach since day one! Since the first day Punk walked into the Steel Domain, Punk has been fighting from underneath.

Punk has fought through everything to get to where he is! Ace has a career he is proud of, but he is most proud of Punk’s career, because Ace was there to coach him. Ace was coaching Punk from day one to do all this. They’re not just friends, they’ve seen those come and go. These two are family. And you don’t let family down! He didn’t let Chicago down! He filled an arena on a rumor that after seven years, he’d come back. And Ace isn’t letting Punk leave now. Punk fought his heart out in Cleveland, but he lost. So what? In Punk’s own words, “Life isn’t about how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get up.” And then Ace SLAPS Punk!

Ace tells Punk to get the F up and fight!! Fight Sunday! Sign the open contract! Chicago is all fired up as Ace tells Punk to sign the contract and fight Moxley! Ace shoves the contract into Punk’s hand and a pen into the other. Ace then tells Punk, “If you forgot who you are, tell him, Chicago!” Fans chant for “CM PUNK! CM PUNK!” Ace tells Punk to sign the contract! Punk unzips his jacket, hugs Ace, and says, “Before I was ever CM Punk, I was just a punk rock kid from Chicago! I was borne lonely at Christ Hospital, blue in the face, with the cord wrapped around my neck, because they’ve been trying to kill me since the day I was born!”

Punk says they ain’t found the man who’s man enough to do it yet! “And Jon Moxley, you ain’t him!” Fans are even more fired up and Punk gets in the crowd! He tells Moxley that he may be wild, but he ain’t wild enough! “This is Chicago, where the weak are killed and eaten!” Punk goes up the bleachers and across one of the rows to say Chicago has different kids, but they have the same heartbeat! One pulse running through the streets which are their arteries, and Punk will pump the blood until it stops pumping! “Jon Moxley, at All Out, you can’t break my bones! You can’t drink my blood! Because I, WE, ARE CHICAGO!”

Punk has someone hold the mic, and he finds his part in the contract! Punk signs on the dotted line, and it is official! Will Punk prove that he IS the Best in the World? Or will Moxley make sure he is still undisputed?

AEW shares Jim Ross’ interview with Christian Cage and Jungle Boy.

Good ol’ JR sits with Captain Charisma and Jungle Jack Perry, on one condition: No physicality. JR isn’t even sure how to approach this situation, but he knows that with no physicality, Christian’s elbow won’t get any worse, and AEW appreciates Christian taking the time to share hits thoughts about this coming match. Of course you appreciate it, JR. You signed Christian to his very first contract in the business, so JR knows Christian is professional to a T. And Christian agreed to no physicality because that’s not an issue for him.

On Sunday, Jack has to step into the ring, be face-to-face with Christian, and realize he’s not in Christian’s league. And even when he’s less than 100%, Christian will destroy JB. JB will be a has-been at just 25 years old. Christian hopes JB is prepared to live for the rest of his life with that. JB say as much as he’d like to sit here and stare at Christian’s stupid, smug face and tell him he hates him, it’s a bit more complicated than that. JB has cared about Christian a lot. Their friendship felt very familiar to JB in a lot of ways. JB loved Christian. Whether or not Christian really cared about JB, he made it feel like he loved JB back.

As much as JB would like to believe “the real” Christian is in there somewhere, this was probably the real him all along. Christian says yeah, this is the real him. He isn’t here to be JB’s friend. He isn’t here to be a father or father figure. JB won’t let Christian talk about his father but Christian says he is just here to make money and win championships. Christian is in AEW for Christian. JB tells Christian about his father, the late Luke Perry. JB’s father taught him what it means to be a man. That is a lesson JB will teach Christian! This Sunday, Christian isn’t wrestling “Jungle Boy.” This Sunday, he FIGHTS Jack Perry!!

Six Man Tag: FTR & Wardlow VS Silas Young, Ray Jones & Vic Capri!

So much gold on the trio formerly known as The Pinnacle! The IWGP, AAA & ROH World Tag Team Champions and the AEW TNT Champion know that at All Out, they’re facing Jay Lethal, one of the greatest ROH World Heavyweight Champions, and the Motor City Machine Guns, one of the greatest tag teams period. Will this tune-up be an exclamation point before writing the conclusion to their story with Lethal this Sunday?

Sonjay Dutt is watching this backstage and taking notes with that pencil of his. The trios sort out and Wardlow starts against Ray Jones. Fans rally as the two step up to each other. Ray says he isn’t scared, and he pokes Wardlow in the shoulder. Wardlow HEADBUTTS Ray then keeps him standing up. Wardlow aims the finger gun, BANG and the wind-up, BIG LARIAT! Ray flounders but Wardlow drags him away. Tag to Cash, he drags Ray up and whips him to ropes to CLOBBER him! Cash drags Ray up to snap suplex! Tag to Dax, he drags Ray up to bump off buckles. Dax CHOPS Ray, then CHOPS again!

Ray ROCKS Dax back with a right, and he drags Dax over to tag in “Ice Pick” Vic and the two mug Dax. Vic whips, Dax reverses and wrenches to short arm LARIAT! Dax drags Vic up, tags Cash, and then Cash tags Wardlow. FTR whips Vic for the BIG RIG, and then they wipe out Silas & Ray! Wardlow drags Vic up, reels him in, and gives him the POWERBOMB! Fans chant “ONE MORE TIME!” and Wardlow conducts them. Wardlow drags Vic up, reels him back in, brings the straps down, and FTR helps give Vic a TRIPLE POWERBOMB! Cover, the Pinnacle wins!

Winners: FTR & Wardlow, by pinfall

Sonjay finishes taking notes, but will any of that help his guys on Sunday? Or will nothing stop this gold-stacked team from crushing Lethal & the MCMG?

Jon Moxley returns!

He heads back to the ring and gets himself a mic because he clearly wants to respond to what we saw earlier! “If that’s what your boy wants, that’s exactly what he’s gonna get. If CM Punk wants to go out on his shield here in Chicago in front of his hometown fans who made him what he is today… Well, Chicago, I guess he does owe you that much. So it will be CM Punk VS Jon Moxley one more time, this Sunday at All Out for the AEW World Championship! And CM Punk, if you think you’ve got one more miracle left in you, you better find it fast. Because the moment that bell rings, you are in danger! I’ll be trying to take your damn head off!”

Moxley says he’s gonna put on a display, a show, of glorious brutality and pro-wrestling violence that CM Punk has never experienced! And he will show the world the difference between a fake messiah, a martyr, and the real thing! A real champion! A legend being made right before your eyes! Moxley is fired up now! Will Ace Steel and CM Punk regret thinking they can make a comeback at the Maniac’s expense?

Backstage interview with The Dark Order.

Tony Schiavone is with Evil Uno & Preston Vance. Because of an injury to Vance’s knee last week on Rampage, he cannot compete in the tournament match set for this Friday. Jose hands Uno a fat stack of $100 bills! Well, thank you for that.

Andrade says he was thinking about giving The Dark Order a contract to work for him. Vance has the body, but maybe he could take the mask off- Uno stops Andrade there. Backstage interview with John Silver & Alex Reynolds.

Tony Schiavone knows they saw what happened to Uno & Vance, that takes out their two possible partners for Rampage! What’re they going to do? Reynolds says this Trios Tournament is the biggest opportunity the Dark Order has had in a long time. And if that means they have to go 3v2, then so be it. Silver says it’s not a big deal- Wait! Hangman Page walks in! He wanted this tournament to be their moment, but if Ten and Uno can’t do it, then they can count on him. Alright! Silver isn’t a booker or anything, but they’ll go get this figured out! This is awesome! Then Hangman Page is joining the tournament this Friday on Rampage! Will the Good, the Bad & The Hungy ride into the sunset once again?

A match worthy of the main event! A main event worthy of the AEW World Trios Championship Tournament! And a victory worthy of going to the finals at All Out! Will Omega & The Young Bucks prove they are worthy of being the inaugural champions? Who proves themselves worthy to be their opponents this Friday on Rampage?

My Thoughts:

What a great episode of AEW, especially for a go-home. It did start to feel a little talky in the middle, but AEW has been feeling a bit more talky lately. It’s still been good stuff, there’s just been a lot of it. Moxley had a great promo to open the show, but I just knew that even with it being an “open challenge,” it was going to be Punk answering it. Punk also had a great promo that really got the fans hyped up, but with it playing out this way, it just felt rather melodramatic to me. We will still get the awesome match we expected to see in Cleveland, but this was a very interesting route to take to get there.

Similarly, I had a feeling Hangman Page would somehow end up the third partner for Silver & Reynolds. Andrade whooping Uno after Vance was ruled out by his injury was a surprising way to get there, but maybe we also get a Dark Order VS LFI/AFO feud after All Out. And after just an amazing main event between The Elite and The United Empire, I am pretty sure we get Elite VS Dark Order & Hangman. It will be an awesome match that will reference all the story between Hangman and his old friends, and it will truly make that match hard to call. But news just came out that Bobby Fish’s AEW contract won’t be renewed, so I have a feeling we won’t get Undisputed VS Elite after all.

We got great stuff out of Bryan Danielson, Daniel Garcia and the rest of Jericho Appreciation Society. Bryan VS Hager was a great match and of course Bryan wins for momentum going into All Out. Garcia expects Jericho to be better than he is and that comes back to bite him when the rest of JAS attacks Bryan. Garcia costs Jericho here, so will he cost Bryan at All Out? I thought Garcia was joining BCC but it’s harder to tell what’s going to happen here. We also got a great return to AEW for W. Morrissey where he wipes out The Wingmen and then joins Stokely. And it was good that someone asked what Stokely’s planning. He’s either breaking away from The Baddies, or he’s creating a faction that is actually booked strong in both men’s and women’s divisions.

We got a great interview promo from Christian and JB, and of course AEW uses “No Physicality Agreement” here. Both men delivered their parts perfectly, and that is an even bigger deal for JB. JB is coming into his own through this feud, and win or lose, Jungle Boy will be a certified contender for a singles title going into the Fall. We got a good promo vignette from Pac and Kip to set up their title match, and a great promo from Miro, Darby & Sting to set up a Six Man Tag with House of Black. I have a feeling Pac retains, but anything can happen in #RelentlessRedeemers VS House of Black that then helps set up an eventual Miro VS Malakai 1v1 match.

FTR & Wardlow crush their opponents, and Silas didn’t even get to be part of the match. I again say that this is to set up FTR VS MCMG for the ROH tag titles, so there’s a good chance the team of #LethalMachineGuns finds a way to win. We got a great tag match from Storm & Shida VS Britt & Hayter, and the Faces win so there is half a chance Britt and Hayter conspire so that one of them (Britt) wins in the end. I’d like for Storm to win to vindicate her after how she was treated on main roster WWE and how things have been a little rocky in AEW, but Britt is a worthy Heel to become a two-time champion and taunt Toni in the chase, so it’s between those two to me.

And we got an awesome Fatal 4 Way to hype up the Casino Ladder Match. It is a bit strange that we’re getting two members each from three factions (Claudio & Yuta of BCC; the Lucha Bros of Death Triangle; and Andrade & Rush of LFI), and then it’s literally the Joker as the one person who isn’t attached to anyone. It was awesome to see Yuta get the win here tonight but he is the ROH Pure Champion, so don’t expect him to become a contender. Same for Claudio being ROH World Champion. And there’s still plenty of beef between Lucha Bros and LFI that those four could cancel out. The Joker usually isn’t the winner of these “casino” matches but this could be the time. Could it be… MJF?!

My Score: 8.8/10

PLAY BY PLAY

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes us to Dynamite in Knoxville, Tennessee, then welcomes out the Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay! The fans fire up as Ospreay makes his way to the ring, and then Schiavone says Ospreay asked for this face-to-face, so here is… KENNY OMEGA! The fans cheer again as now The Best Bout Machine makes his way out here! And he gets a lot of pyro! Omega joins Ospreay and Schiavone in the ring, the fans chant for “KENNY! KENNY!” Schiavone says it is his honor to be in the ring with two of the greats. Ospreay wanted to have this talk, so the floor is his. Ospreay tells Kenny thanks for coming out to join him here. And glad he’s not dead.

Ospreay can’t remember the last time they were in the same ring and not throwing punches at each other, but a lot has changed since Omega’s been away. Ospreay has got nothing to do with the Don Callis Family, and has been trying to change AEW from within. Ospreay didn’t like how Callis was doing business, so he is doing everything in his power to stop it. And to be honest, Omega’s come back at a really bad time. Moxley holds the world title hostage, Ospreay has been trying to get after them, but he keeps running into the Callis Family, and he can’t do this on his own anymore. The fans like where this is going.

Ospreay knows he and Omega have had their differences, but- Omega takes the mic for himself. “Stop. Stop. You said you didn’t remember the last time we faced each other in a ring? Well, Will, let me remind you. It was Forbidden Door. And in that match, not only did you drop me on my head and almost break my neck, but you stabbed me in the head with a screwdriver, the same one that Don had used months before. As far as I’m concerned, that makes you no better than him. And why did you do it, Will? Why? All because you were trying to prove that you were the best. You were trying to prove that you were better than me.

“Well, Will, not only did I not believe you were better than me back then, but I sure as hell don’ believe you’re better than me now. And it took diverticulitis to almost kill me for people to even know that you existed. So now that I’m back, Will, now that I’m back… Congratulations on being number two, because number one is standing right here in front of you. So if you’re here to apologize and ask for my help, the answer is no chance in hell. Because I will never trust someone like you, bruv!” Ospreay gets in Omega’s face and tells him, “Listen here, you little p*ick!” Ospreay makes sure Omega doesn’t look away, but then here comes Don Callis himself.

Omega and Ospreay are still mad with each other but Callis says, “Well look at these two prima donnas!” But like before, Omega rushes him at the ramp! The fans cheer, but here comes Konosuke Takeshita! The Alpha brawls with Omega to keep Callis safe! Ospreay is conflicted, but then Kyle Fletcher attacks Omega! Ospreay hates Kyle more than he does Omega, so he goes after the Protostar! The fans fire up as the brawl just gets bigger! Ospreay puts Kyle in the ring, ducks ‘n’ dodge shim, then RAN- NO! Kyle stops that to pop Ospreay up! But Ospreay pops free, dodges, and handsprings! NEURALIZER KICK!

The fans fire up as Ospreay fires off on Kyle in a corner! But Konosuke drags Ospreay down! ALPHA ELBOW! But Omega gets Konosuke! SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! Omega fires up and the Terminator Drums begin! Omega builds speed, but Kyle SUPERKICKS him down! The fans boo while Kyle seethes. Kyle drags Omega up to toss him out, but fans tell off Callis. Kyle BOOTS Ospreay over railing! Callis and Konosuke mug Omega! Kyle grins, and he uses a chair to LAUNCH himself into Ospreay! The fans boo while Kyle stands Ospreay up, and whips him, only for Ospreay to reverse! Kyle is sent into barriers and Ospreay beats Kyle down!

But wait, the rest of the family is here! Lance Archer goes after Ospreay! The fans boo but the Murderhawk hauls Ospreay up for a CHOKE- NO, Ospreay goes to the railing! Ospreay fires hands, but Archer LOW BLOWS! Then he DECKS Ospreay into the upper deck! The fans boo as Archer climbs up with ease, but Ospreay fires hands in return! Archer CLUBS Ospreay, they go up into the crowd, and cameras do their best to find where they went! They go down the stairs at the back! Brian Cage has appeared to beat up Omega, and Archer sends Ospreay into the merchandise stands! But Omega fires hands on Cage, and on Konosuke!

Archer CHUCKS a table, Ospreay dodges it! Ospreay ROCKS Archer, fires more shots, but Archer ROCKS Ospreay in return! Archer slides Ospreay along the merch table like it’s a bar fight! Cage CLUBS Omega, Archer drags Ospreay up, but Omega throws trash cans at the others! Omega CLUBS away on Archer, but Archer just grabs him now! But Ospreay and Omega work together! They mug Archer, then DOUBLE SUPLEX him through the tables! The fans are thunderous, but then Cage returns! He CHUCKS a trash can into Omega’s face! Cage, Konosuke and Kyle mug Ospreay and Omega 3v2 while Callis checks Archer.

The brawl goes around the back side of the bleachers, Konosuke puts Omega in a SLEEPER while Kyle and Cage CHOKE Ospreay! Omega breaks free, but Konosuke CLAWS Omega’s eyes! Konosuke reels Omega in, but Omega fights free of the suplex! Konosuke ROCKS Omega again, but now security has appeared! The brawling keeps going, but Ospreay breaks free to ROCK Cage and ROCK Kyle! Ospreay runs up, but Kyle ALLEY-OOPS him, only for Ospreay to grab the railing up above! Ospreay kicks Kyle away, then wait! Omega is climbing the lighting truss! They coordinate, and they DOUBLE ARIHARA MOONSAULT onto the Don Callis Family!!

The fans are losing their minds as Omega and Ospreay stand together! They climb up the truss so they can see Callis as he cowers on stage! Omega has a mic again, and he tells Callis, “We saw what you did to your boys! You saw what we did to your boys! Don Callis, the next time we get a chance, it’s gonna be you we put six feet down under! And speaking of down under, oh boy do I have an idea. Will, you wanted an apology? Maybe it’s me that should apologize. I should’ve trusted you from the beginning. So what do you say, Will? What do you say, people? Let’s restore that feeling we were looking for, in Brisbane, Australia!

“Grand Slam is gonna be me and Will against the hometown boy~, Kyle Fletcher, and Takeshita. Oh yeah, Takeshita, my little young boy! Takeshita & Fletcher, Ospreay & Omega, Australia, LET’S GO!!” The fans love that! Omega says it has been awhile, but let’s say it together, shall we? Goodbye, MWAH! And good, night, BANG!! Now hit his music, cuz he’s scared of heights. The music plays, Ospreay & Omega climb down, but will they tear the Callis Family down once and for all?

The Death Riders speak.

Jon Moxley says, “Tonight, we bring you AEW in Knoxville, Tennessee. The elite, the best of the best, we bring you Pac in the main event. Adam Copeland went to sleep in 2011, woke up in 2025, in a world where he doesn’t belong, in a world that he doesn’t understand. Where the animals are bigger, faster, stronger, meaner, and smarter. But there are plenty of weak, pathetic creatures around here, and we’d be glad to just throw your carcass on top of the pile, Adam. Adam Copeland’s neck is handing on by a thread, man. Bryan Danielson’s neck was hanging on by a thread, too. I finished the job for him. Darby Allin had a death wish for his career. I gave it to him.

“What I’m saying, Cope, is that maybe the next time you go to the doctor, you get some bad news. Maybe your next doctor’s visit is a worse case scenario. And in that case, I won’t lose even a little bit of sleep over it. I don’t sleep much, anyway, I don’t have time to sleep. I don’t have time for relics from the past, there’s too much work to do. We’re building a future.” Moxley leads the way out, will this be the last night AEW goes Rated R?

The ref wants the Syndicate to back off, and then he checks Zay. Doc Sampson also checks, and we get a quick replay from high above to see just how hard Zay hit the desk. The Syndicate stands down for the moment, and Quen also checks on Zay. Zay is stirring but MVP wants Doc to call it now. Shelton storms back out to scoop and SLAM Quen on the floor! Winners: The Hurt Syndicate, by pinfall (NEW AEW Tag Team Champions)

They certainly hurt people! They just crashed the party, crushed the party, and now they have the gold! Will nothing stop the Hurt Syndicate from owning AEW?

Mariah May speaks.

“I am the most disrespected champion in AEW history. I have raised this title to a level it had never seen before. Every match, every moment, every massacre. And I made it all look so good! And how does this company repay me? By enabling a deranged woman, for a second time. This is what you have for your champion? A woman I played like a dysfunctional fiddle and beat without blinking an eye? Fine. Let’s play your game, and I will scramble her shallow brain even worse than I did the first time! And when she’s gasping for air whilst I’m grasping my gold, every fan and every person in AEW will realize one thing: You don’t deserve me! Toni Storm? I can’t wait to ‘meet’ you.”

Backstage interview with Toni Storm.

Renee Paquette is with said challenger, and says this Saturday Night Collision, Toni will meet Mariah face-to-face ahead of their AEW Women’s Championship match at Grand Slam: Australia. What does Toni anticipate will happen? Toni says she’s just so nervous and excited! She doesn’t know what she’s gonna say. Harley Cameron walks in and says yes! Excellent! Harley says from “one non-quirky Australian to another,” she just wants to wish her good luck. Toni says there’s no reason Harley can’t wrestle in Australia, too! Really? Yeah!

Toni knows people think she’s a bit of a Bogan, but mate, they put on one hell of a match for two Sheilas fat assing around in a couple of budgie smugglers, don’t you think? And then Harley busted out the guitar, Toni was like, “Good on ya!” Harley says cheers, mate! She admits, when she first met Toni, she thought Toni was a bit of a neg, but Toni sure had one bloody ripper of a show! Good on ya! That’s the type o’ Sheila she’d do a shoey with! Toni says, “See you in Australia.” Harley says yeah, see you in Australia! The Aussies are bonding, but will the Homecoming in Jacksonville go smoothly? Or will The Glamour be spewin’ (real mad) on Collision?

Backstage interview with Jeff Jarrett.

Alex Marvez is with Double J and brings up the heinous things MJF had to say. Before Marvez can ask more about that, Karen steps in and wants a minute with Jeff. Marvez steps aside and Karen wants him to remember what they talked about. Last week, getting down in the mud with MJF, that is not who Jeff is anymore. Karen didn’t like it, she was upset by all that, and it reminded her- He knows, he knows. He gives her a kiss on the forehead, then heads to the ring! The fans cheer for The Last Outlaw, and he puts his guitar aside so he can get the mic. “What’s up, Knoxville?” The fans cheer and Jarrett says it is great to be back in the Volunteer State!

Jarrett was driving up the I-40 and gathering his thoughts, figuring out how he’d address things from last week, another fellow Tennessean came to mind. One of his greatest mentors, none other than The King, Jerry Lawler! The fans are a bit torn on that name, but Jarrett brings up a tag match early in his career. Jarrett was on right before Lawler, and Lawler was watching that match. And for the better part of 30 minutes, these two guys candidly beat Jarrett’s ass. But not only physically but verbally. As Jarrett was making his last ditch effort throwing some haymakers, he threw some verbal jabs himself.

As Jarrett was returning to his dressing room, right there was The King. He shut the door and got in Jarrett’s face. Lawler told Jarrett, “What the hell are you thinking out there? Don’t ever get in the gutter with your opponent.” Jarrett will just say this: Sometimes, it’s great to come back home to remember who you are. The fans cheer that! Jarrett tells MJF that he will find out exactly who The Last Outlaw is! “Max, we’re gonna settle this Southern style. Somehow, somewhere, some place. No lights, no camera. As we say around here in Knoxville, I’m gonna take you out to the woodshed and beat your ass!”

The fans cheer, and Jarrett says enough about the one hit wonder! Let’s get back tot he fans! Because the fans inspired Jarrett, gave him that juice, to get in the Owen Hart Cup last year. And let’s get real, the fans have given Jarrett a gift. You ask what that gift is, and well, that gift is of a 57-year-old man believing in himself that he can become the AEW World Heavyweight Champion! The fans cheer that! So then, let’s get to business. AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley…! Let’s get out here and talk. The fans are surprised Double J is calling out The Maniac, but here come The Death Riders!

Specifically, CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI slips into the ring! He spins Jarrett around, and he UPPERCUTS Jarrett right off his feet! The Swiss Superman grabs the mic. Claudio tells Jarrett, “Nobody gets to Jon Moxley without getting through me first. Let me give you one piece of advice, Outlaw. Stay out of our business.” Claudio leaves Jarrett behind, and he even punts the AEW mic box into the crowd. But Jarrett grabs another mic to tell Claudio, “Turn your ass around! You know me better than this. You’re gonna have to kill me to stop me!” The fans fire up as Jarrett stands back up.

Jarrett says Mox is his target, so Claudio, how about this? If Jarrett beats Claudio next week, he gets that title shot! Claudio says, “Beating you lifeless? An interesting proposition. See you next week.” Jarrett says it’s on! It’s on in Huntsville, Alabama! Can The Last Outlaw make it through Moxley’s “emissary” so that he can go right for the king?

Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS AR Fox!

The Most Dangerous Man in AEW has put The One & Only Ricochet on notice, but it seems he has someone else from his past to deal with first. Will Swerve bury his past so he can focus on his future? Or will Swerve’s House soon belong to the Whole Fox’n Show?

The bell rings and the fans rally up. Fox and Swerve circle, then they feel things out. Swerve dodges a boot to headlock, but Fox fires body shots. Swerve CLUBS Fox, the forearms start flying, then Fox kicks low. Fox suplexes, Swerve fights that to suplex! Fox fights that, they both fight for suplex control, and then Fox ends up on the apron! Swerve blocks a shot to ELBOW Fox down! Swerve then slingshots up and out, to then MOONSAULT onto Fox! The fans fire up while Swerve stands over Fox. Swerve drags Fox up and into the ring. Swerve goes up the corner while Fox sits up, FLYING- NO, Fox BOOTS the uppercut away!

Wait, picture in picture lets us know that Ricochet is in the building, golden scissors in his lapel pocket! Where’s he headed? Fox CLUBS Swerve, then wraps an arm around the ropes. Fox KICKS the rope to jam the arm, then he CLUBS away on the shoulder. Fox runs, but Swerve follows and runs Fox over! The fans fire up while Fox flounders. Swerve grabs legs, spins Fox around, and gator rolls Fox to deadlift suplex! The fans cheer on “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Swerve seethes, even as Nana keeps the chants going. Swerve stalks Fox to a corner, then ROCKS him! Swerve digs his boot in, the ref counts, but Swerve steps off to stand Fox up. Swerve turns Fox for a NECKBREAKER! Swerve holds on, drags Fox back up, and hits another NECKBREAKER! Swerve then drags Fox up and puts him through ropes. Swerve brings Fox out and turns him again, for a DRAPING NECKBREAKER! Swerve completes a vicious take on the Three Amigos, then covers, TWO! Fox survives and Swerve is annoyed, but Swerve also knows his old rival is just that tough.

Swerve stalks Fox to ropes, and he CHOPS! Fox is stinging, but Swerve fireman’s carriers him. Fox grabs ropes, gets himself to the apron, and he HOTSHOTS Swerve away! Fox runs to BASEMENT CUTTER! Fox soaks up cheers and jeers, Nana rallies the fans, but Fox grabs the bad arm to SLAM it on the mat! Swerve goes to a corner, Fox fires body shots and forearms, then bumps him off buckles. Fox hammerlocks Swerve to RAM that shoulder into the buckles! Swerve staggers away, drops to his knees, and Fox soaks up more heat. Fox even scares Nana off! Fox scuffs Swerve, taunts the fans, but Swerve snarls.

Fox scuffs Swerve again, but Swerve stands. Fox BOOTS him down! Fox taunts Swerve, kicks him again, and Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans rally again but Fox gives more taunting kicks. Swerve stands, blocks a kick, then slips around to scoop and BACKBREAKER! Fox scrambles away while the fans fire up. Swerve storms out after Fox, but Fox scurries back into the ring! Swerve pursues, but Fox catches him in the ropes with a DRAPING DDT! Fox strikes like a Viper and Swerve flops to the floor. The fans boo but Fox goes to the apron, and he uses the corner, MOONSAULT ATTACK! Down goes Swerve!

The fans are torn but Nana is worried as Fox puts Swerve in the ring. Fox slingshots, springboards, and RAN- NO! Swerve hoists Fox up, POWERSLAM! The fans fire up with Swerve and he watches Fox flounder. Swerve runs up to UPPERCUT in the corner! Then he mule kicks, snapmares, and goes up the corner, for the FALLING UPPERCUT! The fans fire up as Swerve hits the Griddy! Swerve then aims as Fox flounders, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” But Ricochet runs up with the scissors!! Swerve dodges, then he swings on Ricochet! Ricochet runs away, laughing at Swerve, but Nana has a pipe! Pipe beats scissors, boy!

Ricochet dares Nana to come get him, but Fox BOOTS Swerve in the corner! Fox puts Swerve up top, then goes up, ARABIAN PRESS FLY!! Cover, TWO!! Fox is furious and he goes up, up, and 450 FLOPS as Swerve moves! Swerve hurries to stand Fox up! Half nelson and BIG PRESS- NO, Fox victory rolls through! TWO!! Swerve escapes, but Fox goes Matrix! But Swerve rebounds and somersaults, FLATLINER! And then the HOUSE CALL!! Swerve isn’t done, he’s going up top again! KILL STOMPS!! Cover, Swerve wins!

Winner: Swerve Strickland, by pinfall

Ricochet tried to ruin everything, but he only added fuel to the fire! However, even after all that, Swerve shows Fox respect. They shake hands, but Ricochet grabs a camera to get on the tron! Ricochet tells Swerve, “The risks you take… These are the risks you take when you think it’s okay to bully and embarrass people. Like last week, when everybody though tit was okay to boo me and take away my time to speak whenever I got something to say. But that’s okay, I’ll give you that one. Because next week, you all will be forced to hear everything that I’ve got to say, and believe me, I’ve got a lot to get off my chest. Ain’t that right, Prince Nana?”

The camera pans over, and Ricochet is holding those scissors to Nana’s throat! Ricochet says he could gut Nana like a fish for what he did last week, thinking he could embarrass him! But Ricochet needs Nana to tell Swerve that this may be his house, but there is a new landlord, and rent is due! Swerve is fuming as he storms to the back! Ricochet laughs as he leaves again, and Nana is able to breathe again. Ricochet says he’s the dangerous one now, but is he really just playing with fire?

The Learning Tree speaks.

Chris Jericho says, “Hi, guys~! Welcome to another New York Minute, coming to you live from Knoxville, right here, nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. But unfortunately this week, we’re a little bit more dour, a little bit more somber, because The Learning Tree lost last week on Maximum Carnage: Collision. We were essentially beaten by The Outrunners and Powerhouse Hobbs, even though we tried to take Will Hobbs out before the match. But we failed at that, didn’t we, Bill?” Big Bill says, “As the Learning Tree always says, ‘Failures are the signposts on the road to success.'” Jericho looks at Bill with disappointment.

Is that really what Bill’s going to say? Is he really comfortable with losing, and then trying to attribute it to a learning moment? Well, learning moments only work if you learn from them! When is Bill going to start using the knowledge Jericho is bestowing upon him!? They lost because of Will Hobbs! So what’s Bill gonna do about it? Bryan Keith also asks what Bill’s gonna do! Bill says “LT” is right. No more New York Minute, and Bill says that he and Hobbs went face to face. Hobbs may have won the match, but he did not beat Bill! And that is because Hobbs can’t beat Bill!

And you wanna know why? Because Big Bill is the biggest and baddest man in this entire company! Hell, the entire industry! So you know what he’s gonna do? Saturday, Jacksonville, Bill is going to find Hobbs! Jericho & Keith nod, will The Redwood crush The Powerhouse?

MJF is here!

But wait, he’s not the one scheduled for a match, is he? He’s certainly not dressed for it. MJF has them cut his music, and then he steps into the ring to tell whoever that is to get out. The fans boo but the guy does as he’s told. MJF tells Jarrett that he wants to say, “from the bottom of my heart, you deserve to give every single wrestling fan an apology after your actions last week. But if anybody deserves an apology more than anybody else, it’s me. Let’s face it, Jeff, when I offered to help you win the AEW World Championship, as long as I was first in line for a world title shot… I didn’t do it because I believe in you! No no no.

“I did it because I thought you would be the easiest to manipulate, and damn sure the easiest to beat.” The fans boo but MJF says the fact Jarrett actually thinks that in the year 2025, that he will be the next AEW World Champion without MJF’s help goes to show that Jarrett’s about as senile as he looks! The fans boo more but MJF tells Jarrett this: If Jarrett isn’t yet, by the time Claudio is done beating him next week, Jarrett will be. MJF knows Jarrett thinks that if he grinds hard enough, if he works hard enough, he’ll earn himself more time in the only sport and occupation Jarrett has ever known and loved.

But Jarrett, MJF is going to tell you the truth: Pro-wrestling doesn’t love Jarrett anymore. These fans don’t even love Jarrett anymore! The fans boo, then they chant, “DOUBLE J! DOUBLE J!” MJF takes off his sunglasses to get serious. The hicks can chant all they want, but it doesn’t change the fact that Jarrett is about to find out the hard way that sometimes, you’re better off making a deal with the devil instead of defying him! MJF drops the mic, soaks up the heat, and clearly isn’t done with The Last Outlaw. But wait! Hangman Page makes his way out here! And he is scheduled for a match.

The Blackhat Cowboy storms into the ring, and he tells MJF to get outta here. MJF says okay, okay, and then he leaves. Hangman is coming off winning that brutal Texas Death Match with Christopher Daniels, will he just keep the violence going?

Hangman Page VS Tyler Shoop!

The bell rings and Hangman BOOTS Tyler Shoop down! Then he stands Shoop up, whips him, and LARIATS him down! Cover, Hangman wins!

Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall

Shoop da whoop, that was fast! But Hangman isn’t done as he just hammers away on Tyler’s head! Then he underhooks for ANGEL’S WINGS!! The ref reprimands but Hangman uses Daniels’ finisher on this poor kid! WAIT! Daniels is here!? The Fallen Angel has a mic but also a neck brace. Hangman storms up and asks if he wants to get his ass beat again! Daniels says no, he isn’t here to fight. He never wanted to fight in the first place. Daniels swears, all he ever wanted to do was be a friend. But perhaps he messed that up. Every time he approached Hangman, it was like pouring gasoline on a fire.

Then Hangman attacked Daniels, said what he said, and Daniels let his own ego escalate this to the point where he accepted the most violent match against the most violent man. Daniels does regret that, and he will for the rest of his life. Because after that Texas Death Match, that last Buckshot, all that damage to his neck over the years… Daniels has been advised to never wrestle again. The fans don’t like hearing that, but Daniels says he is here to tell Hangman face to face that Hangman wins. Hangman won Daniels’ last match, so this is goodbye. And sorry. Daniels hopes Hangman can be happy now.

Daniels moves on, and Hangman is rather stunned. He tells the cameraman to get out of his face, what is the Cowboy to do knowing he retired The Fallen Angel?

Mercedes Mone is here!

The CEO is backstage as she tells “Knoxvillllle~! Say hello to your C E O, Four Belts Mone!” Renee Paquette finds Mone and congratulates her on the win at WrestleDynasty. Mone is now also the Rev-Pro Undisputed Women’s Champion! She has four belts in her collection, but from the minute she walked into AEW, she’s been talking about taking things global. She’s done just that, but we’re still early in 2025. What else does she have planned? Mone says Renee is so right. She is a global champion now, having wrestled all over the world! The UK, Japan, and she’ll soon wrestle in Australia! Mone cannot wait to see who gets on the Money Train next.

Wait, that guitar… It’s Harley! Harley sings her hello to Mone, and that if she wants a challenge for Australia, Harley’s here to say G’DAY! Harley is a local, so you know she will not quit! You may know her backstage as the woman with the tiiipping point! Yeah! She’s crazy! A little insane~! Her point is, what she’s getting at, is she’ll right the Mone Train! Feel the wrath! Feel the wrath! Four belts is a little much, it can’t be good for your back. Feel the wrath! Harley will make it plain, she’ll ride the Mone~ Train~! So what does she say? Mone smiles and says Harley, darling, she has wrestled all around the world, fighting the very best!

But Harley, you haven’t even won a match on AEW TV yet! Not this year, last year, or ever. So that’s gonna be a hard “noru!” Now get away from her. Mone leaves, still singing the song, and Renee says it was pretty good. Will Harley turn her fortunes around by getting a win on TV and then facing The CEO?

Julia Hart VS Jamie Hayter!

Speaking of Harley’s losses, she lost to The Princess of the Black Throne, and that match only started because Julia misted her in the face instead of Hayter! Julia and Jamie look to settle things in this rematch, will this be another Hartless victory? Or will Hayter Hit Harder than ever?

The bell rings and both women run up! Hayter BOOTS Julia down! Julia bails out, Hayter pursues, and she brings Julia around the way to THROW into railing! The fans fire up and Hayter brings Julia back up. Hayter whips Julia all the way into the LED barriers! The fans cheer, Hayter refreshes the ring count, and Julia staggers up. Hayter storms back up on her, but Julia kicks low! Julia RAMS Hayter into the apron,. RAMS her into the barriers, then whips. Hayter reverses and Julia hits the steel steps! The fans fire up again while Hayter storms up on Julia. Hayter puts Julia in the ring, goes up a corner, and she leaps to MISSILE DROPKICK!

The fans rally, Hayter covers, TWO! Hayter keeps on Julia but Julia JAWBREAKERS free! Julia ROCKS and whips Hayter, then runs up to LARIAT in the corner! Julia goes side to side to ELBOW Hayter! Julia runs again, but into an ELBOW! Hayter goes up, but Julia YANKS her down! Hayter hits buckles, Julia DRIBBLES her off the mat! Cover, TWO! The fans rally again while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Julia stomps Hayter around, CLUBS her, then clamps on a chinlock. Julia grinds Hayter down but Hayter endures. Hayter fights up, fires body shots, and she’s free! Hayter runs, sunset flips, TWO! Julia sits on the cover, TWO! Hayter sunsets again, TWO! Julia SUPERKICKS Hayter down! Julia then puts Hayter on ropes to CHOKE her! The ref counts, Julia stops at 4, and Hayter sputters. Julia drags Hayter up, SCRAPES her face against the ropes, then SCRAPES her face off more ropes! The ref reprimands but Julia fires a forearm. Hayter fires back! The two go forearm for forearm, but Hayter hits harder!

Julia throws Hayter by her hair! Cover, TWO! Hayter is tougher than that, but Julia CLUBS her down! Julia rains down fists from both sides, but Hayter fires elbows! Hayter gets on Julia with a rain of fists! Julia does her best to guard but Hayter stands her up! So Julia throws Hayter by her hair again! And she drops a leg! Cover, TWO! Julia snarls as she clamps onto Hayter with a motorcycle stretch! Julia digs her knee in while she pulls Hayter’s arms back! Hayter endures, fights up, but Julia throws her down again! The ref reprimands but Julia covers, TWO! Julia grows frustrated but she drags Hayter up to put her in a corner.

Julia fires hands, but she lets off as the ref counts. Julia stomps a mudhole, digs her boots into Hayter’s face, then steps off to stand Hayter up. Wrench and STO! Julia puts Hayter in the drop zone and stomps her while Dynamite returns to single picture. Julia then climbs the corner, but Hayter anchors her feet! Julia kicks Hayter away, but Hayter comes back to CHOP BLOCK! Julia sits down on the corner and Hayter CLUBS away! Hayter climbs up, pulls Julia’s hair, and hits a SUPER BACK SUPLEX! Both women are down but the fans fire up! The ref checks, both women are still in this, so a standing count starts.

Hayter and Julia slowly rise, and they stand at 6! The forearms go back and forth, but Hayter gets the edge! The fans rally, Hayter whips, but Julia reverses. Hayter throws Julia by her hair now! And then again! Hayter then gets around to GERMAN SUPLEX! Julia staggers up, into another GERMAN SUPLEX! Julia staggers, into a third GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up while Hayter roars! Hayter pops Julia up for a SPINEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Julia survives but Hayter clamps onto a leg! HALF CRAB! And she sits deep on it! Julia endures, reaches out, and claws her way forward! ROPEBREAK!

The fans are torn but the ref counts. Hayter lets go at 4 and stalks Julia. Hayter CLUBS Julia, whips her, and then scoops her! But Julia tilt-o-whirls into an IRON OCTOPUS! Hayter endures while the fans duel, but Hayter powers up to BACKBREAKER! Hayter bends Julia back, but Julia powers free with a hair pull! Cover, TWO!! Hayter and Julia stand, run up, and Julia slips around, CRUCIFIX DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Hayter survives and Julia staggers to her feet. Julia runs to BLINDSIDE LARIAT! Julia drags Hayter up again, but Hayter clinches! HAYTBREAKER!! And then the ripcord, HAYTERADE!! Cover, Hayter wins!!

Winner: Jamie Hayter, by pinfall

The rematch is Hayter’s revenge, and we’re tied! When and where will we see these two give us the rubber match? Wait, Hayter gets a mic to tell Julia that time after time, after attempted murder, is she feeling like that tonight? Hayter isn’t one to “butter someone else’s bread,” but she has a very heavy respect for women like Julia who do what they wanna do, no matter what anyone says. Julia moves to the beat of her own drum. Even if it’s spitting that crap in Hayter’s face, or trying to kill her with an arrow. But no matter what, Julia has the people behind her, and two big men standing by her side. Except here she is, all alone, and she’s still “a tough b*tch.”

The fans cheer and Hayter says they’ve each won one. Whenever Julia wants number three, she’s got it! Hayter heads out, when and where will Hayter VS Hart Round 3 happen?

“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs speaks.

“Hey, Big Bill, word around town is that you plan on lookin’ for ole Powerhouse Hobbs this Saturday on Collision. Well guess what? Jacksonville’s where I got my start, and you don’t have to look for me very hard. Cuz I’ll be waiting for ya in the parking lot.” The challenge was thrown out, will The Redwood fight Hobbs on the streets?

Swerve regroups with Nana backstage.

Swerve is pacing, and he says, “Oh, yeah, Ricochet, you big and you bad. You think you big and bad with those scissors in your hand now, right? Yeah? GOOD! Because that’s what you’re gonna need against the most dangerous man in AEW! Two weeks from now, Atlanta, Georgia, the chase is done! The lion finally gets his hands on that freakin’ rodent! And maybe, just maybe, I catch it a little sooner than that.” Ricochet is pushing all the wrong buttons, is he going to have Swerve blow up even before AEW reaches Atlanta?

The House of Black speaks.

Brody King walks with Buddy Matthews and Julia Hart, as well as his Pitbull, and he says, “For years, we’ve had a voice to guide us. That voice was all but deafening. Now, that voice has gone silent.” Buddy adds, “And we are done living in the shadows.” Julia says, “It’s time to honor ourselves.” No rules, no leaders, no gods or masters. Just… violence! When they bark, they bark together! When and where will these three release the hounds?

Adam Copeland VS PAC!

The Rated R Superstar was given a warning, a not so subtle threat, from The Death Riders’ leader, Jon Moxley, ahead of this match. Will The Bastard make good on The Maniac’s promise to put Cope back in retirement? Or will this simply be Cope clearing out a pawn before going for the king?

The bell rings and the fans rally for Cope. The two circle, tie up, and Cope powers Pac to a corner. The ref counts, Cope lets off cleanly, and the two reset. Pac and Cope circle again, then feel things out. They knuckle lock but then Pac KICKS a leg! Cope shakes that off as he and Pac circle again. They tie up, Pac waistlocks, then he trips Cope and has that leg. Pac then floats to a facelock, but Cope slips out to hammerlock in return. Pac reaches back, stands up, and he switches the hammerlock onto Cope. Cope drop toeholds and he floats to a chinlock. Pac has the ROPEBREAK, and Cope lets go cleanly.

The fans cheer as Cope backs off, and Pac steps back in. The two go again and tie up with knuckle locks. Cope trips Pac, covers, ONE! The two back away and the fans cheer. Cope and Pac reset again, tie up collar ‘n’ elbow, and Pac puts Cope on the ropes. The ref counts, Pac lets off slowly, but then he kicks low! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Pac whips. Cope goes up and manages to RANA Pac out of the ring! The fans fire up and Cope builds speed, but Pac returns! Pac puts Cope on the apron, he builds speed, but now Cope puts Pac on the apron! Cope swings but Pac RAMS him low! Pac slingshots up and over, but Cope bails out!

Cope blows snot while Pac takes aim, and then Cope trips Pac up! Cope drags Pac out to the apron so he can wheelbarrow, and FACEBUSTER off the steel steps! The fans fire up for Cope and he drags Pac up by his hair. Cope whips Pac hard into the barriers, then refreshes the count. Cope storms up on Pac, the fans want that “One More Time!” Cope stands Pac up to GOURD BUSTER onto the barriers! Pac flops down, the fans cheer, and Cope refreshes the count again. Cope goes back to Pac, stands him up, and brings him around. Cope SMACKS Pac off the desk! Pac staggers away but Cope puts him in the ring.

Pac bails out the side but Cope pursues. The fans boo Pac but he suckers Cope into a kick to the leg! Pac SMACKS Cope off the apron! The ref reprimands but Pac snarls while Cope clutches his neck. Pac attacks with stomps! Pac digs his boot into the neck but the ref counts. Pac backs off and the ref reprimands him more. The fans boo but Pac just acts like he can’t hear them. Pac goes into the ring while the ref checks Cope. Cope slowly rises, but Pac is watching like a hawk! PLANCHA! Down goes Cope and the fans boo more, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Pac eggs the fans on while Cope is dazed. Pac goes back to Cope, drags him up, and brings him around the way. Pac whips Cope into railing! Cope falls in a heap but Pac leaves him behind. Pac goes up to the apron to soak up the heat, and he even mockingly applauds. Pac goes after Cope again, puts him in the ring, and pushes him to a cover, ONE!! Cope’s tougher than that but Pac clamps on with a chinlock. Cope endures, even grabs at Pac’s face, but Pac holds on. Pac stands Cope up to snap suplex! Cope flounders but Pac watches him closely. Cope goes to a corner, stands himself up, and Pac runs in! UPPERCUT!

Cope falls, Pac covers, TWO! Pac is annoyed but Cope’s highly decorated for a reason. Pac stomps and kicks Cope around, then he taunts the fans. Pac goes up the corner, and he watches Cope rise. Pac leaps to MISSILE DROPKICK! Pac kips up, and he again taunts the fans by acting like he can’t hear them. Cover, TWO! Cope is still in this but Pac stays on him with stomps. Pac clamps on a chinlock and he grinds Cope down. Cope endures, Dynamite returns to single picture, and the fans rally up. Cope fights around, but Pac squeezes tight! Cope pushes up off the mat, the fans rally harder, and Cope fires body shots! Pac suplexes Cope!

Cope flounders back to a corner, Pac runs up, but Cope BOOTS him! Cope runs up to SHOTGUN Pac! Pac tumbles to the opposite corner and the fans fire up! A standing count begins, but Cope and Pac stir at 3 of 10. They sit up, and Pac uses ropes to stand at 5 of 10. Cope follows, then runs in, but Pac ELBOWS him away! Pac runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, but the FLAPJACK finds him! The fans fire up again while both men are down! The fans rally as both men stand, and Pac goes to the apron. Cope hobbles over, but Pac HOTSHOTS him away! Pac then springboards, but Cope gets under! Cope comes back, Pac ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Cope hits a SKY HIGH! Cover, TWO!!

Pac survives and shocks Cope! Cope drags Pac back up, reels him in, but Pac is a ragdoll. Cope huffs ‘n’ puffs but the fans fire up behind him! Cope stands Pac up, but Pac pushes him away. Pac flops back down and the fans boo, but Cope won’t let off. Cope drags Pac up but Pac wrenches and KICKS the leg! Pac KICKS away, then SOBATS! And KICKS! And SOBATS again! Pac runs, but Cope follows! Cope then LARIATS Pac inside-out! The fans are thunderous as Pac is in a daze! Cope hauls Pac up, IMPALER DDT! Cope then goes to a corner, wild look in his eyes. Pac rises, Cope takes aim, and Cope runs in! But Pac jumps over!

Cope keeps from hitting buckles, and Pac runs in! But Cope pops Pac up to a fireman’s carry! Pac makes it a STANDING BRUTALIZER!! Cope endures as Pac pulls on the arms! Cope falls into the ROPEBREAK! Pac lets go in frustration but the fans rally up again. Pac watches Cope slowly sit up, and then he waistlocks! Deadlift- NO, Cope fires elbows! Pac shoves Cope and BLINDSIDE SUPERKICKS!! Pac then runs to BOOT Cope in the back! Pac shoves Cope and SNAP GERMANS! The ref reprimands Pac about the neck, but Pac clamps on the BRUTALIZER!! The Bastard shows no mercy! Cope is fading, but he powers up!

The fans rally as Cope manages to lift Pac, and shifts him around into an AIR RAID CRASH! Both men are down again and the fans rally again! Cope goes back to a corner, takes aim at Pac, and he BLINDSIDE SPEARS him! Pac writhes, the fans want that “One More Time!” Cope obliges and he SPEARS Pac head-on!! But the neck is holding Cope back! Cope crawls over, but Pac rolls away. Cope stalks Pac to the ropes, brings him up, and he fireman’s carries for a spin and T K O!! Cover, COPE WINS!

Winner: Adam Copeland, by pinfall

That was a brutal battle between Bastard and Rated R Superstar, but that swinging cutter gives Cope the win! But wait, Marina Shafir has commandeered a camera! She films The Death Riders mugging The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express while FTR is forced to watch! Moxley says it’s like he told Cope: it’s a jungle out here. CON-CHAIR-TO for Ricky Morton!! Moxley tells Cope to stay right there, they’ll be right out. The Death Riders go to the ring from the crowd side! Cope realizes he’s all alone with his friends tied up backstage! Moxley and his minions surround the ring, then they storm in! It’s a 3v1 mugging! The fans boo but Pac is back up, so now it’s 4v1!

The neck is the target of every punch and kick, but wait! JAY WHITE is here! The Switchblade wants his pound of flesh, and Yuta runs up! White LARIATS Yuta, then he fires forearms on Claudio! Claudio shoves White, runs up, but White DUMPS him into the crowd! White then gets in the ring, TOSSES Pac, but Moxley kicks White! Moxley says this is what White gets! But White clinches Moxley! YUTA LOW BLOWS WHITE! Just like the Casino Gauntlet! Now White gets beat up 3v1 as Marina joins in! Pac and Claudio return, they drag White back and make him watch as Moxley sits Cope up. Moxley reminds Cope that the neck’s holding on by a thread.

BULLY CHOKE!! Moxley cranks on the neck as hard as he can! Cope is sputtering, turning red, and Claudio keeps White down! The fans boo as Cope can only suffer! Cope is fading out! Moxley lets go and he tells Cope he will break him!! The Death Riders leave Cope behind, their ultimatum being issued. Can no one stop this reign of terror?

My Thoughts:

A great episode for Dynamite, even with some unexpected changes. Tony Khan put on social media that the extreme winter weather made for some travel issues, so we did not get Samoa Joe VS Nick Wayne tonight, that will have to wait for a later time. But even with that, they adjusted well, to where you wouldn’t even think something had changed. The opening segment might’ve gotten more time for that brawl because of Joe VS Wayne no longer happening, but it was still all a very natural move for Omega and Ospreay to be united against The Don Callis Family. We’re already getting word of Omega & Ospreay VS Konosuke & Kyle, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we still got Omega and/or Ospreay against Brian Cage and/or Lance Archer over the next few weeks.

Very good promos to hype Homecoming this Saturday. Mariah referencing Toni being delusional again was good stuff, and I loved how extra Aussie Toni got being around Harley. And clearly Toni inspired Harley as Harley went right up to Mone to challenge her. But Mone also has a good counter point, Harley has to win for once. I don’t even think that’s a “wins and losses matter in AEW” kind of thing, either, that’s just standard pro-wrestling logic. I would think this means Harley either gets a win at Homecoming or some show between now and Grand Slam. Surely Harley will get a match for Grand Slam, and Mone will of course want to be on that card, so it just makes sense.

Very good tag title match, but a shame Private Party’s reign had to end already. There’s an argument to be made that more former WWE guys get over AEW homegrown talent, but this would fit a lot better if Daniel Garcia was still part of the story. Then Garcia would be fending off The Hurt Syndicate as they go for the TNT Championship, with Private Party and even Menard & Parker backing him up. But it isn’t the first odd story pivot TK’s done, and it doesn’t seem to be the last, as we might be getting that out of MJF and Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett has a good promo, and he does seem to be getting away from MJF for the time being, instead having a match with Claudio to see if he gets that title match with Moxley for what I would think is Grand Slam: Australia.

MJF meanwhile might be pivoting to facing Hangman Page. MJF does have a good promo on telling Jarrett they’ll get back to their feud eventually, but then Hangman makes sure to still have his squash match. It was mostly so Daniels could come out and tell us all that he is done with in-ring competition. It was also done well to kayfabe the reason, and use that to affect Hangman. After all, causing someone’s retirement could be what rattles Hangman back into being a more reasonable cowboy. And it’ll be something MJF can prey upon in their potential feud. There’s also that link of “Fallen Angel” Daniels and “AEW Devil” MJF, Hangman fighting his inner demons, all that.

Good promos from The Learning Tree and Powerhouse Hobbs, and while we are possibly getting some sort of parking lot brawl match from Hobbs VS Bill, I hope Jericho being angry with Bill gets us back on track towards Bill ditching Jericho. They were so close to it months ago when Jericho was feuding with Mark Briscoe, and they could really make a fan favorite Face out of Bill. A lot of fans already like Bill, and Bill turning on Jericho would definitely win more over. Bill and Hobbs could even learn to respect each other and be a duo of big meaty men. And as it stands, the endgame is probably Hobbs VS Jericho, ROH World Championship optional.

Very good match of Hart VS Hayter, and naturally Hayter won here to tie things up. Hayter had her own “You don’t need to be House of Black” promo with Julia, and even showed her respect so that we can definitely expect the tiebreaker for Grand Slam: Australia. But given Hayter said all that, it seemed a bit redundant for the formerly House of Black to have their promo tonight. They should’ve saved that video for Collision, when Brody King & Buddy Matthews are going to face The Gates of Agony and could debut the group’s new name at the same time. I mean, we’re still getting that latter part, but this promo would’ve really added to that.

Very good match from Swerve VS Fox, but of course Ricochet tried to screw Swerve over. Swerve still wins, but I do like that he showed respect to Fox to move past that betrayal last year. Good promo from Ricochet as he “threatened” Nana, and it’s a shame WWE never saw this in Ricochet, because he’s doing pretty good as psycho Heel. Swerve’s follow-up promo was good, but maybe a touch redundant in how he said he wants to end this before Atlanta. He said that last week, but clearly this is going to go to Atlanta, so no real point in saying it. What should happen is Swerve asking to escalate that match to some kind of stipulation. But one way or another, it feels like those scissors are going to come into play.

And then very good stuff with the Death Riders story. Moxley is a good promo guy, but his promo once again went one debate point longer than it needed to. He could’ve easily just left it at “And I won’t lose any sleep over it.” But no, he added on and it just felt weird. Great match from Cope VS Pac, and I’m a little surprised the Death Riders didn’t try to screw Cope over. But then clearly we see why: they mugged FTR and Rock ‘n’ Roll Express! Then they do the same to Cope, and even Jay White as White goes for the save.

I do appreciate that there’s room here for Cope and White to make amends from their feud given their common enemies, but I feel like we need Austin & Colten Gunn back so that they can help with the numbers game. Then we can get Bang Bang Gang VS Death Riders for the trios titles while Cope and Moxley fight over THE world title.

My Score: 8.8/10

Rated FTRunners & “Powerhouse” Hobbs speak.

Dax Harwood says, “12 men, one ring, chaos will ensue.” Truth Magnum says the only thing he knows for sure is that if you think you can mess around with the Outrunners and not find out, you got a better chance of pissing in a hot sauce bottle! Tell ’em, Turbo! Turbo Floyd says messing with the Outrunners is one thing, but what about this big super group right here? The best super group since the Yankees! Give it to ’em, big man! Hobbs says on Wednesday, he almost had that AEW World Championship. But even with a bad leg, he’ll hobble out there and beat dat ass! Cope adds that Moxley better shut up and listen.

The Rated R Superstar himself is coming for The Maniac, and he is going to take that AEW World title. The road to that starts tonight, Cash says #TopGuysOut.

Kazuchika Okada speaks.

The Rainmaker tells “Ishii-san, you are the Stone Pitbull. So~ scary~! But I’m the Continental Champion. You were my friend. I used to look up to you. But tonight, I’ll put you down like the dog you are. B*tch!”

Christopher Daniels speaks.

“Hangman Page, I tried over and over to explain my intentions to you, but it seems that all you understand is violence! Well, if you want violence, I’ll show you how violent I can become. Tonight, Hangman Page, Fallen Angel, Texas Death Match!”

Hangman Page speaks.

“Christopher Daniels, for far too long, I have listened to the ruminations and opinions of how I should live my life from old men like you. CD, you are wrong. And you are long in the tooth. Tonight, Texas Death, I take you out to pasture.” The Blackhat Cowboy is ready to put the Fallen Angel out of his misery, but will he hit that Buckshot right in Daniels’ face?

Texas Death Match: Hangman Page VS Christopher Daniels!

No sense in waiting to find out, the Cowboy and the Fallen Angel start us off! Will “Maximum Carnage” be an understatement after these two go until one man can’t keep going?

The bell rings and the fans rally up already. Hangman and Daniels stare down, step up, and Daniels says Hangman could’ve just let it all go. It didn’t have to be like this! The fans duel, but Hangman SLAPS Daniels! Hangman throws hands in the corner, but Daniels CHOPS in return! Daniels ROCKS Hangman, RAMS him again and again, but Hangman CLUBS Daniels back. Hangman fires hands, but Daniels kicks low! The shots go back and forth but Hangman ROCKS Daniels! Hangman CLAWS Daniels’ eyes, then fires body shots and haymakers! Hangman CLUBS away on Daniels, the fans fire up, and Hangman whips corner to corner.

Daniels reverses, runs up, but into a BOOT! Hangman rains down fists, then lets off to pace around. Daniels bails out, but Hangman runs to triangle jump LARIAT! Daniels falls to the floor, but he rises up, into a PLANCHA from Hangman! The fans fire up again while the ref checks Daniels. Daniels is in this but Hangman puts him in the ring. Hangman snarls, but Daniels WRECKS him with a dropkick! Daniels then aims, ARABIAN- NO, Hangman YANKS Daniels down, then sends him into railing! The fans are torn as Hangman grabs a chair! Hangman runs up, and he CLOBBERS Daniels with the chair!

Daniels flounders, Hangman fires the fans up, then he puts the chair in the ring. Hangman grabs more chairs, and Daniels rises up. Daniels is busted open, but Hangman shoves Daniels into the ring. Hangman goes looking, and he brings out BARBED WIRE! Hangman is escalating this quickly as he goes for Daniels’ face! Daniels fights back, but Hangman still DIGS the wire into Daniels’ forehead! He was already bloodied but it’s only gonna get worse! The fans tell Hangman he’s sick, but Hangman LASHES Daniels on the back with the wire! And LASHES him again! Hangman then puts the wire in Daniels’ mouth!!

The fans are freaking out as Hangman is practically flossing Daniels’ teeth with the wire! But Daniels throws Hangman away! Daniels blocks a kick, ducks a lariat, but then the BOOT comes back! Daniels is down, Hangman grabs the rest of the wire, and he wraps it around his arm! Hangman aims, Daniels staggers up, BARBED WIRE ROLLING ELBOW! Daniels falls again, Hangman holds up the wire and the fans cheer, but Collision goes picture in picture.

Hangman stalks Daniels to the ropes, then CHOKES him! Hangman only lets off so he can grab a chair. Hangman sits that chair up, and Daniels sputters from behind his crimson mask. Hangman sets another chair up, those sit facing each other. Hangman brings Daniels over, fireman’s carries, but Daniels fights free! Daniels staggers to a corner, Hangman runs up, but into a BOOT! Daniel runs up, but into a POP-UP POWERBOMB onto the chairs! Daniels writhes and Hangman snarls. The standing count starts, but Daniels uses ropes to stand at 5 of 10! Hangman KICKS him in the side!

Hangman grabs a chair, wedges it into a corner, but Daniels flops out of the ring. Daniels is buying himself as much time as he can but Hangman clears everything else out of the ring. Hangman storms after Daniels, scoops him, and FALL AWAY SLAMS him onto the floor! Daniels writhes again but Hangman goes looking under the ring again. Hangman brings out a TABLE! Hangman positions the table to be ringside, but Daniels drags himself to the apron. Hangman goes up to join Daniels as Maximum Carnage returns to single picture. Hangman brings Daniels over, Alabama Lifts, but Daniels CLUBS away on Hangman’s back!

Daniels underhooks! Hangman lifts! Daniels fights and slips around, to then LARIAT Hangman into the ring! The fans rally up and Daniels steps back in. Daniels storms up on Hangman, but Hangman sends him into the chair! Daniels falls back, the chair stuck around his head! Hangman snarls again while Daniels sputters. Daniels rolls out and ends up on the table, so Hangman runs to DOUBLE STOMP him down through the table!! The fans lose their minds, the standing count begins, and Hangman watches Daniels crawl. Daniels manages to rise at 7, but Hangman KICKS him back down! Hangman rains down fists on the bloody forehead!

Hangman goes looking, and he finds a table with barbed wire on it!! Hangman shoves that into the ring, careful not to poke himself too bad. Hangman sets this monstrosity up near a corner, and Daniels has made his way to the apron. Hangman climbs the corner to bring Daniels up. The fans are already worried, and Hangman Alabama Lifts Daniels! Daniels fights with everything he has left! Daniels HEADBUTTS away on Hangman, then fires down elbows! Daniels slips in, clinches, and URENAGE DOWN THROUGH THE BARBED WIRE TABLE!!! The fans lose their minds while both men are down!

But Hangman DIGS the wire into Daniels’ face again!! Daniels lets go, sputters through the blood, and slowly rises. Hangman aims, lifts, but Daniels grabs ropes! Daniels holds on, but then lets go to underhook! ANGEL’S WINGS!! Both men are down so the count is on them both! Daniels is already up at 5, Hangman is up at 6! The fans fire up for another URENAGE! Daniels points to the corner and the fans fire up!

Daniels goes up, up, BEST MOONSAULT EVER!! But Daniels isn’t done, he grabs what’s left of the barbed wire table and pushes it onto Hangman! BEST MOONSAULT EVER onto the wood!! Daniels crushes Hangman under the wood, then shoves it aside! Fans hope these tow “FIGHT FOREVER!” but it has to end somehow! Hangman is still down at 5 of 10! And at 7! Hangman scrambles to his feet at 9!! Hangman is bloodied but he’s going nuts! He steps on the chair so Daniels can’t use it! Daniels ROCKS Hangman, Hangman LARIATS Daniels! Scoop and tuck! TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER onto the chair!!

Daniels crawls with one good arm, and he’s somehow still in this! Fans want that “ONE MORE TIME! ONE MORE TIME!” Hangman waits on Daniels to stand, then reels him in! Alabama Lift, DEADEYE onto the chair!!! Daniels sputters but he’s staying down! Hangman goes to the apron and he loads up all the same. Daniels somehow rises up before 5 of 10, so a BUCKSHOT from behind takes him down!! The count starts again while Hangman stands over Daniels. The count is 5 of 10, then 7. 8! 9! 10!! Daniels is done, Hangman wins!

Winner: Hangman Page, by knockdown

The medics check Daniels, but Hangman leaves him behind. But then on second thought, Hangman drags Daniels up! Underhooks and ANGEL’S WINGS!! Hangman adds insult to injury by using Daniels’ own move!! Hangman storms off, leaving Daniels to the medics. Is this the end of the Fallen Angel? Is this only the beginning of Hangman’s violent road back to the world title?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes us back to Maximum Carnage, and he welcomes out Toni Storm! Cincinnati fires up as The Rockstar is back again, and “Rookie” Toni joins Schiavone in the ring. Schiavone notes her historic win in the inaugural Women’s Casino Gauntlet, and with it, her shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship! It will be Grand Slam: Australia, Toni’s hometown of Brisbane, how does she feel? Toni says honestly, she doesn’t even know what her life is right now. It is so surreal! All she can say is, her dreams are finally coming true!

Because she’s going to Australia, to the building where she saw her first wrestling show, and she’ll never forget how her mom scraped together all she could so that they could get tickets, just to sit in the back row. Mom sold hot dogs to pay for Toni’s training. Mom sewed together Toni’s original ring gear. Now Toni can call mom and tell her, “Get ready, cuz I’m coming home!” The fans cheer that! Schiavone says that is a great feeling, but Toni surely realizes she is facing Mariah May, and that is an entirely different feeling. The fans boo Mariah, but Toni says Mariah is “the best in the business today. She’s killing it!”

But Toni hasn’t even had a chance to introduce herself to Mariah. Maybe next week, in Jacksonville, Daily’s Place, the home of AEW… It’s time for Toni and Mariah to finally meet face to face. The fans cheer, but Schiavone wants Toni to understand. C’mon now, Toni. Aw, c’mon yourself, Schiavone! It’s Tony and Toni! That means… IT’S TONI TIME~! WOO~! Say it with her! Okay. It’s TONI TIME! The fans cheer and Toni gets Tony to be all fired up! But the point Schiavone was trying to get to is valid: Is Toni really unaware of her timeless rivalry with The Glamour?

The Hurt Syndicate speaks.

It was after the show on Wednesday that MVP said a definitive statement was made. MVP promised Lashley & Shelton that when they came to AEW, the championship gold would be theirs for the taking. The All Mighty has never been a tag team champion while the Standard of Excellence has many times. That changes everything. With the defeat, the ASS KICKING, they just put on Private Party, that should make the Hurt Syndicate the #1 contenders. So Private Party, time to crash the party! Next week, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Private Party better put up the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Shelton & Lashley. See what you’ve really got!

But just remember: #WeHurtPeople. Lashley says this ish is gonna be easy. He and Shelton fist bump, but will they put the hurt on Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy?

Six Man Tag: The Undisputed Kingdom VS Shane Taylor Promotions!

Adam Cole, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly are reunited once more, ready for more, and they have all sorts of targets in mind. But Lee Moriarty, Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo have their eyes on those same championship targets, which is why they’re crossing paths here tonight. Will #TAIGASTYLE & The Infantry show the Kingdom how to rumble, bad men, rumble? Or will Maximum Carnage be undisputed?

The trios sort out and the ROH Pure Champion starts against Adam Cole BAYBAY. They circle, tie up, and Lee already gets a leg pick. Lee then switches to a waistlock, Cole switches with him, repeat. Cole headlocks, Lee powers up and out, but Cole KICKS the backdrop! Cole then dodges the lariat, PELES, and he brings Lee over. Tag to Roddy, they mug Lee, and Roddy CHOPS! Roddy CHOPS again, then wrenches to a wristlock. Lee rolls, slips through, traps the arms, and he pulls on an ear! Tag to Dean, STP mug Roddy, and then Dean scoops, only for Roddy to slip free. Roddy shoves and DROPKICKS Dean down!

The fans fire up, Strong tags Kyle, and they CHOP and KICK away on The Captain! lee runs up, Kyle KICKS him down! Kyle & Roddy double suplex Dean onto Lee! Cover on Dean, TWO! Kyle drags Dean up but Dean JAWBREAKERS free! Tag to Carlie but Kyle kicks, clinches, and fires Muay Thai knee after knee! Kyle KICKS Carlie down, then stalks him to ropes. Kyle whips, Carlie reverses, and Dean trips Kyle up! The ref is arguing with Carlie, and now with The Kingdom, as Dean hits an APRON CUTTER! Carlie goes up and out to then GUILLOTINE AX HANDLE! Kyle flops down, STP pose together, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Kyle sputters, The Infantry distract the ref, and that lets Shane THROW Kyle into railing! Shane DECKS Kyle while The Kingdom protests! The ref keeps everyone back, and Dean brings Kyle around. Carlie puts Kyle in the ring, whips him to a corner, then storms up to JAB! JAB! JAB! Carlie pops, locks ‘n’ winds up, to CHOP! Carlie talks smack, tags Dean, then Dean sends Carlie in to SPLASH! Dena runs up, whips Carlie in again, forearm SMASH! Then Dean ELBOWS Kyle! Kyle staggers, into a LARIAT from Dean! The Captain scowls while he stands over Kyle. Dean then pushes Kyle to a cover, TWO!

Dean drags Kyle back, anchors him, then tags Lee. Lee drags Kyle up to UPPERCUT! Kyle staggers around, Lee Mongolian CHOPS! Kyle staggers some more, and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns while both Kyle and Lee are down. The fans rally up, both men crawl, hot tags to Dean and Cole! the fans fire up as Cole dodges Dean, BLASTS Lee & Carlie, but Dean waistlocks! Cole elbows free, then LARITS Dean down! And ELBOWS him! And BOOTS him! Dean staggers, Cole fireman’s carries, USHIGOROSHI! Cover, TWO! Cole keeps his focus and he climbs a corner. Dean rises, for the PANAMA- NO, Dean slips under the sunrise! But Cole SUPERKICKS! Cole suplexes, LAST SHOT! Cover, TWO!! Well, not quite the last shot, so Cole tags ROddy. Rioddy hauls Dean up to CHOP away!

Roddy runs, BLASTS Carlie, then runs to SHINING WIZARD Dean! Side to side, forearm SMASH! Then a RUNNING FACEBUSTER! Cover, Carlie & Lee break it! STP mugs Roddy, double whips, but Roddy grabs ropes! Roddy BOOTS and ENZIGIRIS Lee, Kyle sneaks a tag! Roddy TOSSES Carlie and Kyle FLYING KNEES him down! Lee runs up but Cole gets him with 52 Fake Out! Then a PANAMA SUNRISE! The fans fire up as Dean staggers up! Roddy & Kyle call their shot, TOTAL ANNIHILATION! Cover, Undisputed Kingdom wins!

AEW shares more footage from after Dynamite.

Alicia Atout was with Will Ospreay and asked him about the save he made for Kenny Omega against the Don Callis Family. What are his thoughts after all that? Ospreay says you can call it a save for Kenny but it was really Ospreay trying to get after Kyle Fletcher. But hey, he and Kenny have had their differences. Their battles in Japan and Canada have gone down as legendary. But they both know each other because of Don Callis. That is their link, that is how they’re tied together. Before, it was all about egos, but to be honest, this is bigger than both of them. Time they had a chat. Next week, Dynamite in Knoxville, Ospreay calls out Kenny to have that chat.

The Bruv wants to talk with The Best Bout Machine, will they come to an agreement when it comes to their common enemies?

Is this the final hour for Top Flight? Or will they make sure Lio & Action get what’s coming to them?

Backstage interview with The Learning Tree.

Lexy Nair is with Chris Jericho, Bryan Keith & “Big Bill” Morrissey, and she asks Jericho about how on Dynamite, he assured us all that The Learning Tree and The Death Riders would be on the same page, and that Jon Moxley can trust them. How is Jericho so sure that things will go well when The Death Riders didn’t even show for this interview? The Redwood says, “As the Learning Tree always says, ‘Absence makes the heart grow fonder.'” Jericho says that’s so true. And Moxley isn’t the type to show up and do interviews. Jericho isn’t the type to stand here and allow someone to stir the pot.

So enough of this muckraking! Bryan Keith adds, “No mother effin’ muckraking!!” Lexy is a bit taken aback, but Jericho tells Moxley that he’ll address him directly. They’ve known each other a long time. They were the first two AEW World Champions! They have beaten the hell out of each other around the entire world! Moxley left this scar right on Jericho’s left eyebrow. See? And Jericho took a spike and tried to take Moxley’s eye. So like Jericho said, they’ve beaten each other all around the world, but tonight they have common enemies! Moxley knows there is no one in AEW as driven or as smart as Moxley as Jericho.

So if Moxley’s as smart as Jericho thinks, it would behoove Moxley to trust The Learning Tree. And if there’s any doubt, then The Learning Tree will prove it to you before you meet them in the ring. Lexy asks what he means, but Jericho counters with, “What does anything mean, Lexy?” Jericho storms off, Bill says that was a sick burn. Keith says it was a sick ass burn! The Learning Tree heads out, but seriously, what does Jericho mean? How’re they going to prove themselves to The Death Riders before their 12 Man Tag?

Backstage interview with Matt Menard & Daniel Garcia.

Collision returns as Lexy is now with Daddy Magic & The TNT Champion, and she notes them helping out The Undisputed Kingdom. Can they explain how and why? But before Garcia can, Roddy shouts at “DANIEEEL~!” The Kingdom thanks Garcia for that, they appreciate the help. And trust Cole when he says that if there’s anyone who understands competition, certainly it’s Garcia. It is a shame, though, that Garcia & Menard don’t have a third man, because Cole, Roddy & Kyle wanna prove they’re the best trio in AEW. Garcia says yeah, well, they’ll be in Jacksonville next week for Collision: Homecoming.

And Garcia remembers walking into Jacksonville three years ago with two people he barely even knew, at the bottom of the totem pole. Three years later, we’re going back to Jacksonville and it’s a completely different story. Menard checks with Garcia. Is he saying they’re call the brand new father? The new father? Then Kingdom is on! Homecoming, Jacksonville, Six Man Tag! Cole and the boys like that, and they head out. Will things still be undisputed? Or will Cool Hand Ange’s return to the ring tip the scales?

Max Caster is in the ring.

Platinum Max has both a mic and a leather bag, and he thanks the fans, missing how they’re booing him. But Caster says there has been a lot of issues going on within The Acclaimed. There are a lot of rumors online, a lot of talk, but he wants to clear the air right now with his teammate, Anthony Bowens. Caster asks Bowens to come to the ring, and he has the fans cheer Bowens on. Bowens does walk out here, and he grabs a mic for himself. Caster says this has gone on long enough. There has been a huge misunderstanding between the two of them. They are a great team, and more importantly, they are great friends.

The biggest issue here is that Bowens just won’t admit that Caster is the Best Wrestler Alive! The fans boo and Bowens stops Caster there. Bowens says it is finally time for Caster to listen! Because for the last five years, Bowens has tried with every fiber of his being to protect Caster in the ring, in the locker room, and in the media. Because they, The Acclaimed, were tag team partners, and then became best friends. But now Bowens has to live with the very uncomfortable truth that Caster has made Bowens into a liar! Because for those five years, Bowens has had to lie to every single fan about who Caster is as a person!

Because Cincinnati, you need to know that Max Caster is an arrogant, cocky, selfish, edge lord PIECE OF S*IT! And Caster wants the fans to believe he’s the Best Wrestler Alive? Newsflash: The fans believe YOU SUCK! The fans cheer, but Caster brings out a (fake) degree from his bag that says “Best Wrestler Alive!” Bowens says this is what he means! Cater is selfish, he lost the team spirit! Why did Caster start looking down on Bowens? Maybe it’s because Bowens is the Scissor King, not that Caster’s been doing that. Well guess what? Bowens is more than that! He possesses every tool necessary to be a world champion! Cincy agrees there!

Bowens has proudly represented AEW since he put pen to paper! He is the GADDAMN PRIDE of AEW! He is the Five Tool Player!! The fans cheer that! And Bowens doesn’t need some piece of paper to prove it. Caster says don’t touch him! Wait, the music hits? They’re both here, so that means it is DADDY ASS! Billy Gunn is back, mic in hand, and he sighs looking at his boys fighting. The fans cheer and Billy says first off, what is wrong with these two? They are The Acclaimed! AEW World Tag Team Champions, AEW World Trios Champions, and they got everyone to scissor just because it was cool!

Caster claims Billy doesn’t care about them! He just attached himself to a couple of young, hungry wrestlers like them just so they could hear the fans chant his name again. Billy made it about Billy, when it should be about MAX! The Best Wrestler Alive! Oh, and Anthony! They are best friends! Seriously! Okay? They are two guys who were randomly put together, didn’t know each other, but they became the winningest tag team in AEW history! Every team Billy has been a part of has broken up, and there’s a reason for that. Yeah, even Gunn Club! Billy’s own two sons did not want anything to do with him!

Billy gets pissed and he gets in Caster’s face. The fans tell Billy, “KICK HIS ASS! KICK HIS ASS!” Caster says he is not doing this. Bowens has to choose: Caster or Billy. If Bowens wants The Acclaimed to continue, it is either Caster or “washed-up” Billy Gunn. The fans cheer for “BILLY! BILLY!” Bowens is conflicted, but Caster stands there with open arms. Bowens offers the scissors, so Caster says okay. But then Bowens makes it a middle finger! The fans cheer as Bowens stands with Billy! So is that how it is? Caster says fine! Another bad decision from “Bad Decision Bowens.” You can’t walk away from Caster, he’s walking away from them!

Acclaimed is done because CASTER said so as leader of the team! It is Bowens’ fault, it is Billy’s fault, and it’s the fault of every fan here! Caster will prove to everyone that he IS the Best Wrestler Alive, and without him, Bowens sucks, Billy sucks, and all the fans suck! The fans chant “YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!” Bowens tells Caster that he didn’t need Caster then, and he doesn’t need Caster now! Get outta his life! Billy, Cincy, one last time! Throw the scissors up! The fans cheer as Bowens & Billy SCISSOR~! Caster is frustrated, but will he just have to put up or shut up?

Backstage interview with Swerve Strickland & Prince Nana.

Lexy is with The Realest and says the past few weeks, he and Ricochet have had this cat ‘n’ mouse game. But it was announced that February 5th, Dynamite in Atlanta, we will get Swerve VS Ricochet. But until then, what is Swerve’s strategy? Swerve says respectfully, the longer they waste time talking, the more time Ricochet has to get away. And as for “cat ‘n’ mouse,” this is more like lion and rat. It will end now. February 5th, Swerve gets Ricochet in the ring to himself, but Swerve plans on seeing him way before then. Swerve has been cursed with the ability where everything he touches dies…

With that said, Swerve plans on using that for when he gets his hands on Ricochet’s throat! The Most Dangerous Man is only going to be more dangerous from now on, will Ricochet have no chance of escape?

All that is left is Jericho and Turbo! Jericho runs to LIONSAULT, but he FLOPS as Turbo moves! The fans fire up as Jericho crawls, and he reaches out for his corner. But Turbo has no one! WAIT! Hobbs is finally making his way out here!! He said himself that even if he has to hobble, he’d be part of this match! Hot tags to Keith and Hobbs! The Powerhouse CLOBBERS the Bad Apple! And CLOBBERS Jericho! And back to Keith! Hobbs TOSSES Jericho, then sends Keith into him! DOUBLE SPLASH! Hobbs keeps moving, and he DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLES them down! The fans fire up with Hobbs, but here comes Bill!

The fans fire up for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Bill and Hobbs step to each other, and the haymakers start flying! The fans continue to chant “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Hobbs gets the edge, but Bill choke grips! Hobbs pries the grip away! Bill UPPERCUTS! Bill runs, but Hobbs TOSSES him! Jericho is up top, and he AX HANDLES Hobbs down! But then Turbo is there to scoop! Truth runs in, TOTAL RECALL on Jericho! The ref reprimands and The Outrunners step out. Keith has the ROH World Championship! Keith runs up on Hobbs, but Hobbs blocks the cheap shot! The fans tell Keith he messed up! Hobbs LARIATS Keith down!

Hobbs brings the straps down and he says thumbs down! SPINEBUSTER for Keith! Cover, Hobbs wins for the team!

Winners: “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, The Outrunners & Rated FTR, by pinfall

The Learning Tree tried to earn the Death Riders’ trust, but they only angered The Powerhouse! Will The Book of Hobbs still find his way back to a championship story in the New Year? And what of Rated FTR? Are they still brawling with The Death Riders somewhere in Cincinnati? Will they be brawling all the way to Knoxville this Wednesday?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision here, but with some obvious new examples of Tony Khan forgetting his own stories. The Undisputed Kingdom VS Shane Taylor Promotions was a great Six Man Tag, and a great win for Cole, Roddy & Kyle now that they’re all back together, but I guess The Conglomeration meant nothing to anyone in the end. Secondly, Daniel Garcia making the save is fine and all, but why’re we pivoting away from how Garcia is friends with Private Party and should be helping them with The Hurt Syndicate? Not to mention, Shelton and Garcia still have beef from the C2 to settle, aka a TNT Championship match. Hurt Syndicate had a good promo, and it’s really hard to think Private Party retains the tag titles.

Back to Garcia, I do appreciate we’re getting back to him teaming with Menard & Parker, and we’ll have a fun Six Man Tag for Homecoming, but I feel like Undisputed Kingdom wins again. We’ll probably get the Kingdom member who scores the fall challenging for the TNT Championship, so maybe like Kyle VS Garcia, but even that should be a one-off. If The Kingdom wants to be the “best trio” in AEW, that means they want the trios titles, and that means running afoul of The Death Riders, who already have Rated FTR after them. I suppose the easiest solution is just for Claudio, Yuta & Pac to defend against both teams in some kind of wild Trios match, but it’s hard to say if TK can sort out a mess like that.

There’s also the ROH World Six Man titles, but it doesn’t seem like The Von Erichs ever leave Texas. And All In: Texas is the big attraction for the Summer, so I can’t imagine “The Sons of Texas” losing in Texas… Well, that’s a problem to be solved later, we still got a good match from Dustin Rhodes tonight, but then that was about it. I was expecting someone from the ROH side to call him out for the tag titles, but nope. Gates of Agony had a very good promo to put a challenge of their own out there, and I suppose since they want the best possible, TK wasn’t going to short change them. Brody & Buddy having a match for Homecoming could help them introduce their new team name that is no longer House of Black related, given Malakai Black seems on his way out for real this time.

Speaking of, Julia had a very good match with Harley and got a very good win out of it. Julia still seems to be working the rust off but she can definitely find her way back to a title. If it’s Mercedes Mone still as TBS Champion, Julia isn’t winning. And even then, whoever beats Mone isn’t losing to Julia… Toni Storm had a good promo with Schiavone, especially the subtle way she stopped Schiavone from bringing up her past with Mariah. Whether this is a delusion or a deception, that will surely come to a head next week when Toni and Mariah meet face to face. I am really going to enjoy the moment Toni finally says, “How DARE you!” again.

Very good tag match of Murder Machines VS Top Flight, but of course Archer & Cage were going to win. They need their own momentum, for starters, and also they’re just massive. Depending on how the tag title match goes, I could see the Murder Machines going after Private Party, or even stepping to the Hurt Syndicate to make that the next phase of the Don Callis Family story. Ospreay had a good promo to bring up that feud, and I would think Ospreay’s chat with Omega next week is to make an alliance so that they can take on The Don Callis Family. Then as I said on Wednesday, we can get Ospreay & Omega VS Murder Machines first, then Ospreay & Omega VS Kyle & Konosuke after that.

Hangman VS Daniels was an awesome Texas Death Match, just a little bit short of the matches Hangman has had with Swerve. But even so, Daniels looked awesome, even with how he was bleeding and beat up. Hangman wins, of course, and he could go after just about anyone after this. And if this is Daniels’ sendoff as an in-ring competitor, what a way to go out, #ThankYouCD. Speaking of Swerve, he’s of course going to be hunting Ricochet, and the three weeks until Dynamite Atlanta will be some interesting ones. But I feel like they could’ve instead kayfabed that each week is meant to have Ricochet VS Swerve, Ricochet keeps ducking Swerve, and then TK takes an onscreen role to say enough is enough, Ricochet HAS to face Swerve in Atlanta, last warning.

Okada VS Ishii was a great match, and Okada sure hit all his usuals. Okada cheating to get the win is fitting of this Heel persona, but it’s hard to say where he’s going after this. Part of me wonders if Hobbs can step to him given how strong he’s getting to look lately. Good promo from Hobbs & Rated FTRunners, and I do commend Learning Tree for attacking after as a way of trying to win over The Death Riders. It didn’t work out, obviously, as Hobbs gets to look even stronger. Rated FTR and Death Riders brawling out of the building to take themselves out of the equation was smart, too, keeps them from being part of the math once Hobbs “heroically” goes out there and wins it for the Faces. Hobbs VS Okada would be an awesome match, and the promos oughta be fun, too.

My Score: 8.8/10
