The Jericho Appreciation Society is already in the ring.
Well, Matthew Menard, Angelo Parker, Anna Jay, Tay Melo, Sammy Guevara, Daniel Garcia & Jake Hager are, anyway. And Daddy Magic has the mic first to say “Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Jericho Appreciation Society Mandatory Meeting. Allow me to introduce to you at this time, our leader… Chris Jericho.” Fans cheer as The Ocho makes his entrance, and they sing along with Judas. Jericho goes to the ring, gets a mic, and joins the JAS. Fans finish the song, and Jericho says “Good one, guys. You come to the ring without me and don’t even tell me. That’s fine.
“But I understand there’s some unrest here. That’s why I wanted to come to the ring not as Chris Jericho the rockstar or Chris Jericho the Demo God. I came down here as your friend. Because I know we’ve had a lot of problems, and I know-” Danny speaks up and tells Jericho to stop talking so he can listen to them for once. Danny thought he was ready to stand here and have a civil conversation with Jericho, until he saw him again for the first time since last week, after taking a baseball bat to the back of the head and Jericho took advantage. Fans boo that, that was only just last week.
Danny wants Jericho to know that he has sacrificed so much for Jericho. He changed himself to the very fabric of his being for Jericho! He turned his back on his friends and his heroes, for Jericho! Danny chose Jericho every single time, so why does Jericho never choose them!? Fans cheer that, and Danny adds that because Jericho isn’t choosing Danny, Danny can’t do this anymore. Danny drops the mic, dances on Jericho, and storms off! Menard wants Danny to stay but nope, Danny even throws off his shirt as he returns to the back.
Hager says he isn’t surprised. And Jericho’s known Hager longer than anyone else here. They were stepping, not caring where their feet land, and truth be told, that has made Hager a lot of money. But if they have to cut ties tonight, that’s okay. Because everyone knows they have a lot of options. Everyone knows that Hager liked that hat. Fans cheer, and Hager says that he wants everyone to know, he no longer appreciates Jericho. Hager storms off now and Jericho wants to keep this under control. They all have to admit that their careers are much bigger and better off since joining him, right?
Anna, Tay, c’mon! He is so proud of what they’ve done! Anna has a title shot tonight, she could be THE AEW Women’s World Champion! And Tay, she has become a bigger star than if she wasn’t here, and he is very proud of that fact. Tay says, “Honestly, honestly, I used to be so proud of being in a group with you, Chris. But not no more. Right now, I feel… sick. And I’m not even talking about the baby. It seems like you cannot make a decision, so I will. You know what? I will go have this baby, come back next year to be a champion, without you or your damn help, because I QUIT!” Fans cheer as Tay hands the mic to Anna.
Anna says that maybe Jericho has helped them all out a little. But he has helped himself out more than anyone else here! Tonight is about anna, she is being selfish tonight. And she has learned from the best on that! Tonight is about winning the AEW Women’s World Championship! And it’s NOT about appreciating Jericho. She drops the mic and the ladies head out. Parker takes up a mic and says they should settle down. He sees the sad puppy dog look on Jericho, and here’s the thing. Parker can only speak for himself and no one else. He doesn’t wanna be doing this right now. He LOVES being a sports entertainer! He loves asking the fans if he’s having one hell of a hair day!
Chris, when you asked Parker to join the JAS, he wore that as a badge of honor and did everything he could to make you proud. He has given his identity, his trust, and hell, he gave Jericho his blood when he was upside-down in a double cage bleeding out for a fight Jericho picked. Parker has fought alongside Jericho with pride, given everything he can, but Chris… what have you given Parker? Parker doesn’t wanna do this, but Jericho has given him no choice. He has nothing left to give. Parker sets the mic down and also steps out of the ring.
Menard says, “This guy right here was my childhood hero. When I was 15 years old, with my first paycheck from my first job, I bought a Chris Jericho T-Shirt. When my wife was eight months pregnant, and I had no job, this man heard my story. He invited me into his home. He helped bring me to AEW, and you took me under your wing. The last 18 months have been nothing but a dream for me.” Fans cheer that as Menard gets emotional. “But it’s never sat right with me why guys I came up with, guys like Eddie Kingston, guys like Kevin Steen, they HATE YOUR GUTS! And now I’m starting to understand why.”
Menard drops the mic, and he leaves. Sammy takes his turn and fans cheer him on. Jericho says okay then, is he gonna- Sammy SLAPS the mic outta Jericho’s hand! Sammy wants Jericho to listen. Sammy has had Jericho’s back from the beginning. Even when everyone said he shouldn’t, Sammy did. Sammy went from challenging for the world title, to fighting another one of Jericho’s battles. He’s putting Sting through tables not because he wants to, but because of Jericho. Because Sammy is loyal. So no, he’s not gonna walk out on Jericho. Sammy did all those things because he is Jericho’s friend, and because he thought Jericho would do those things for Sammy.
“But maybe, maybe I was wrong. Seems like you have a lot of stuff to work out, man. And I hope you do. And if you do, maybe I’ll be here.” Sammy drops the mic and takes his leave. Jericho is now all alone in the ring. Will this keep Jericho from joining Don Callis’ family? Or will this be exactly why he chooses Don Callis’ family?
Backstage interview with Chris Jericho.
Renee Paquette finds Jericho and brings up the “crumbling” of the JAS, but then wouldn’t you know, Don Callis walks over. Don says that was just… Well, he’s sorry. If he played any role in this, he is truly sorry. Jericho says it is fine, it happened. Jericho has made up his mind, he has come to a decision on if he’s joining Callis’ family, and he’ll let him know next week. That seems to answer Renee’s question as well, but what IS Jericho’s decision?
The Young Bucks w/ Brandon Cutler VS The Hardy Boyz w/ Ethan Page & Isiah Kassidy!

Nick stomps Matt down, gets the fans to get louder, and he CLUBS Matt to the corner. Nick stomps a mudhole in, tags Matt Jackson, and then tags back in. Matt trips Matt, to CATAPULT him into Nick’s FOREARM! Then Nick springboards, DOUBLE STOMPS onto Matt’s knees! Nick tags back to Matt, and the Bucks drag Hardy up. They bring him around, double whip him to a corner, and then Matt sends Nick in, only for Nick to be put on the apron. Matt runs in, Hardy dodges, and Nick’s GAMANGIRI gets Matt! Hardy DECKS Nick, hoists Matt up, but Nick tags back in! Nick aims, Hardy lets Matt off the crucifix to block the superkick!
Hardy sends Nick’s foot into Matt! Then he rolls Nick up, TWO! Nick escapes, but Hardy kicks him, only for Nick to resist the Twist! So Hardy hits a DDT instead! The fans rally up, but Matt Jackson YANKS Jeff away from Matt Hardy! No hot tags here! Nick storms up on Hardy, drags him back, and tags in Matt. Jackson drags Hardy up to a facelock, fans rally, and Jackson grinds Hardy down. Hardy endures, fights up, and throws body shots. Jackson ELBOWS Hardy on the neck, whips, but Hardy CLUBS Jackson! TWIST OF- NO, Jackson slips free, but then Hardy blocks the superkick! DOUBLE LARIATS take both Matts down!
Dynamite returns to single picture as the fans rally back up. Both Matts rise, and Jackson throws a haymaker! Hardy gives it back, they brawl as they stand back up! Fans fire up for “MATT! MATT! MATT!” DOUBLE LARIATS collide again but they both stay up! DOUBLE LARIATS again, and then again- NO, Hardy catches Jackson for a SIDE EFFECT! Both Matts crawl, hot tags to Jeff and Nick! Jeff dropkicks Nick’s legs out, throws elbows and haymakers, then CLOBBERS Nick! Atomic drop, trip, and LEG SPLITTER LEG DROP! Then basement dropkick! And elbow drop! Cover, Matt Jackson breaks it!
Fans rally up, the Bucks regroup, and Matt runs in. Jeff BOOTS him away! Nick runs in, Jeff ROCKS him with a haymaker! Jeff then goes up the corner, WHISPER IN THE WIND! He gets both Bucks! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Jeff! Then 3D!! Not quite a shot back at FTR but close enough! Cover, TWO!! Jeff survives a move from some old rivals of the Hardys, but now the Bucks shout out Uncle Dave!
The Bucks coordinate with Nick on the apron, but Matt Hardy intercepts the springboard! Jeff turns things around on Matt Jackson, DOUBLE TWISTS OF FATE!! Jeff then hurries up top with Nick in the drop zone! SWANTON BOMB!! Cover, MATT JACKSON BREAKS IT! Matt Hardy CLUBS Matt Jackson, TOSSES him, then goes back to the corner. Jeff hurries and tags Matt in, and the Hardys go back for Nick. “DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!” TWIST OF FATE, to another TWIST OF FATE! But Matt Jackson SUPERKICKS Matt Hardy! Jeff blocks a superkick, but Matt denies the Twist! Jeff ROCKS Matt, goes up, but Matt SUPERKICKS the legs out!
Jeff falls down to the mat, no more Whispers! Matt Hardy kicks Matt Jackson, but the Twist is turned into a backslide! And that is turned into the B T E TRIGGER!!! Cover, The Bucks win!!
Winner: The Young Bucks, by pinfall
That was a sudden 180 at the end there, but the Bucks pull off the victory! And in the end, they still show respect to Matt & Jeff. They shake hands and hug it out, but now The Bucks have to think about FTR and their All In challenge. The Bucks get mics, and Nick says, “F! T! R!!” WAIT! Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood are here! Fans fire up as the AEW World Tag Team Champions head down to the ring, and they stand face to face with The Bucks. Nick & Matt look at the belts, fans fire up as they all seem to nod and agree. Fans chant “This is Awesome!” and “All In!” Nick says “ALL, IN!”
FTR hold up their belts, the match is made! FTR VS Bucks, round 3, who will truly be THE top tag team in AEW?
BREAKING NEWS for All In!
Tonight, a tournament of sorts will begin, and by the end of it, we will have THREE contenders so that there will be a FATAL 4 WAY match for the AEW Women’s World Championship! Toni Storm is using her Automatic Rematch Clause, she gets a first-round by RIGHT into the title match! That’s one, and the champion herself will be the other! Will it be Hikaru Shida or Anna Jay that gets to go All In? As for the other two spots, this week on Rampage, Saraya returns to action as she takes on Skye Blue! And then next week on Dynamite, Britt Baker takes on the returning Bunny! Who will be our Wembley Stadium femme fatale 4?
Time for another bro session with Adam Cole & MJF!
Cole is excited for this special night. They’re celebrating the fact that they will be the main event at All In London, Wembley FREAKIN’ Stadium! MJF walks over and they high five. MJF is gonna guess what this “evening of debauchery” is gonna be. Cole said to wear shorts so MJF is thinking… Skinny dippin’ with some ring rats, baybay! HAHAHA! Cole says no. Not at all. It’s much better. Oh, okay! MJF is ready! Yeah, baby, TRAMPOLINE PARK! Dude, what the-
But anyway, they get in and Cole is loving the air he can get. Isn’t this awesome, dude? Yeah, sure… Bro, Max, they got everything here! Video games, a ball pit, dodgeball! Whoa, dodgeball? Yeah, man! MJF might have fun here after all. MJF heads out but Cole keeps wanting to show his mad air. MJF gets a dodgeball and grumbles how they could’ve gone to a bar with a bunch a hot chicks, but no, let’s play with kids at a trampoline park. Okay, then, wanna play? LET’S PLAY! And with dramatic music and slow motion, MJF just whizzes these balls into 8-year-olds! One kid wasn’t even playing!
MJF says the world champ is pitching a perfect game. Cole tells MJF to stop, he can’t do this! Bro, it’s just dodgeball. No, that’s not dodgeball! Stop! Sorry, that’s on Max. A little girl walks over and asks why two grown men are in a trampoline park. Nerds. Cole keeps MJF from throwing the ball at her. Cole kindly tells the little girl that you shouldn’t talk like that to people. She flips them off!? Fine. Game on. MJF swings and BOOM!
The Blackpool Combat Club speaks.
Jon Moxley says wherever the Best Friends are tonight, he sincerely hopes they learned their lesson. Just like eagles don’t hunt flies, the Best Friends aren’t worthy of being in the same ring as the BCC, let alone in a parking lot fight. Moxley hops Sue got those flowers they sent for Trent. And tonight, the Lucha Brothers, Penta y Fenix, have challenged Moxley & Claudio to a tag team match, thinking they can win. Moxley & The BCC never “think” they can win. They know they can, and they expect to win! They specialize in picking the bones of their kills and leaving no doubt. Just ask The Bastard!
Claudio says yeah, Pac. How is it being stuck at home again? Did he really think he could walk back in here after six months, stab the BCC in the back, and think nothing was gonna happen? They told Pac that he would pay, and Claudio made damn sure he did! Yuta says that this new injury is gonna keep Pac out for about a year. That’s gotta sting. That’s a big deal. Yeah, it sucks. But Death Triangle, cool name. The BCC doesn’t fear death! Death fears the BCC! But when they’re up against a duo that has zero fear, will the BCC hope to survive?
FTW Championship FTW Rules: Jack Perry VS Rob Van Dam!
No, your eyes are not fooling you. After calling out Jerry Lynn and insulting all of ECW, and that got the attention of this One of a Kind legend! Anything Goes, Falls Count Anywhere, will “Hollywood” Jack Perry make it home with this title? Or will RVD smoke Jack and take this title to new heights?
The introductions are made, and Jack sucker punches RVD! Fans boo, the bell rings, and Jack stomps away at the ropes! Jack flips off the fans booing, and then Jack whips. RVD reverses, Jack KICKS back, but then RVD dodges his haymaker! Jack dodges a haymaker, but RVD body scissor rolls him up! TWO!! Jack escapes and RVD dares him to do something. Jack says okay, everyone calm down. Jack offers a handshake? Fans chant for “RVD! RVD!” RVD slaps the hand away, he doesn’t trust Jack. RVD then blocks Jack’s kick, spins him and ROUNDHOUSES him down! Fans fire up as RVD RAMS into Jack at the corner!
RVD runs up to HEEL KICK! Jack flops down and fans fire up as RVD calls his shot! But Jack bails out and fans boo. RVD shrugs, but Jack slides back in! Only for RVD to chase him off! Fans boo but RVD pursues, only for Jack to rake the eyes! Jack brings RVD over to SMACK him off steel steps! RVD staggers around, Jack pursues, and Jack brings RVD around. RVD blocks the suplex, throws body shots, and then hangs Jack out to dry on the railing! Fans fire up as RVD throws hands and a kick! RVD then goes to the apron, “ROB! VAN! DAM!” SPINNING FLYING LEG DROP!! Both men are down and fans lose their minds while Dynamite goes picture in picture!
RVD stands up and soaks up the cheers. The fans join in for another “ROB! VAN! DAM!” RVD high-fives the front row, goes back for Jack, but Jack RAMS him into the apron! And then RAMS him into the railing! Jack goes looking under the ring, and he brings out a TABLE! Fans are torn, they like tables but hate Jack. Jack sets the table up, goes back to RVD and throws hands. Jack scoops, RVD sips off and spins Jack around to knee low! Jack staggers, RVD POSTS him! RVD puts Jack back in the ring, goes around the way, and he looks under the ring. RVD brings out a chair! Fans know what RVD is capable of with that!
RVD puts that chair in, and then another, and then another, and another! Jack gets clipped by one on the leg! RVD high-fives more fans, slides back into the ring, but Jack JAMS RVD with a chair! And SMACKS him with it! Jack wedges that chair in the corner, then whips. RVD reverses, Jack stops himself and Jack elbows RVD away! Cover, TWO! Jack steps on RVD and scrapes his sole off RVD’s face! Jack stomps RVD and mocks the “ROB! VAN! DAM!” Jack then says he’s gonna hit “it!” Dynamite returns to single picture as Jack runs, ROLLING THUNDER! But he FLOPS as RVD moves!
Fans fire up and RVD kicks! Jack ducks, trips RVD, but RVD avoid the elbow drop to SOMERSAULT SENTON, but he misses as Jack moves! Jack kicks low, brings RVD around, but RVD stops himself and ROUNDHOUSES Jack away! Jack goes to another corner and fans fire up for RVD. RVD runs in, to MONKEY FLIP! Jack goes flying, and RVD gets a chair! Fans fire up as RVD brings that chair with him, SKATEBOARD DROPKICK! Fans are all fired up as RVD then pushes a chair down onto Jack. RVD runs, to FULL METAL ROLLING THUNDER!! Jack writhes and fans fire up as RVD covers, TWO!!
Jack survives but RVD has him in a drop zone. RVD puts the chair back on Jack, then goes up, SPLIT LEG MOONSAULT FLOPS as Jack moves! Jack has a chair now, RVD ducks the swing, but Jack ducks RVD’s heel kick! Jack CHUCKS the chair, RVD ducks, and the REF takes the shot!! The chair ends up in the ropes, too. Jack kicks, RVD blocks, step-over WHEEL KICK! RVD goes up top now, but Jack hurries to trip him up! Fans boo but Jack climbs up after RVD. RVD throws body shots! Jack claws the eyes! But RVD CLUBS the legs, and he SHOVES Jack off! Jack falls through the table!!!
Fans lose their minds again as RVD hops down to go fetch Jack. RVD puts Jack in the ring, climbs up, and fans fire up! FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH!!! But the cover doesn’t matter, the ref is still down! The fans count it, RVD would’ve won twice over! WAIT! Aubrey Edwards comes in! She counts, TWO!!! Jack survives after having about 10 counts to rest! RVD argues with Aubrey and she apologizes for not running out here sooner. But then Jack LOW BLOWS RVD! And RAMS him into the corner chair!! Roll-up, with trunks! JACK WINS!
Winner: Jack Perry, by pinfall (still FTW Champion)
Fans boo, but we can’t say he cheated. FTW Rules means no disqualifications, but all of that was still underhanded and dirty! Will anyone ever deflate Jack’s ever growing ego?
Backstage interview with the Lucha Brothers.
Renee Paquette is with Penta, Fenix y Alex Abrahantes and brings up the challenge issued to the winners of last Friday Night Rampage’s Parking Lot Brawl. We know now it is the BCC, but she can’t help but feel that that was the outcome they were hoping for given what has happened between their two factions. Alex says yeah. See this symbol on his jacket? This isn’t just about the team, Death Triangle, but about brotherhood. Every time the Lucha Brothers go out there, they fight in the spirit of competition. But the BCC fight just to maim and hurt people, like they did to Pac.
Fenix tells the BCC that after what they did to Pac, now they will be the “Blackpool Coward Club.” Penta adds that tonight, they show the BCC why they are the best tag team in the universe! Because they have CERO! MIEDO! Will Penta y Fenix do tenfold unto the BCC what the BCC has done to everyone else?
MJF & Adam Cole head to the ring!
The AEW World Champion and his best friend are here, having finished up with dodgeball, and they get the mics. MJF has the music cut, and he says, “Majestic Midwest, the Devil has arrived!” Now he wants to say one thing: apparently there is footage going around of MJF saying the Midwest is Mid? We can all agree that that footage is heavily edited and very fake. As a matter of fact, may God strike MJF down right where he stands if what he is saying is not the truth, as he says that his favorite place in the USA… is THE MIDWEST! MJF cringes, but no, he survives. YAAAAY~!
MJF tells Cole to talk to ’em! “Who’s ready for Storytime with Adam Cole, BAYBAY?” Fans cheer because they’re all ready! Cole knows he and MJF will be wrestling for MJF’s title at All In, which Cole will beat him for by the way… Whoa, whoa, whoa now. MJF gets it now. They’re in the main event of All In, Cole wants a promo battle! No, that’s not- OKAY THEN! Fans fire up and MJF tells Cole, “You are so skinny and ghostly pale white, that if this were the 80’s, Hogan would’ve snorted you!” Um, Max, okay, chill. MJF says “Look at me! Look at me! I’m Adam ‘My Brain Can’t Work So I Can’t Cope’ Cole!”
Cole wants MJF to slow down and listen, but MJF calls him a “noodle armed, bobble headed son of a-” “MAX, STOP! That’s not what I wanted to do! I don’t wanna do a promo battle!” Oh. Oops. That’s MJF’s bad. Sorry, sorry, totally misread the situation. Cole wants MJF to hear him out on this. They are gonna make history in Wembley Stadium for that AEW World Championship, but as far as Cole is concerned, they can go all in on that! Because Cole is pretty sure everyone here love them as a tag team, right? “YES!” And he is pretty sure the fans would all love them having tag team championships, too, right? “YES!”
So then as hard as it was to not win the AEW World Tag Team titles, Cole has had his eyes on another set of titles. And these titles mean just as much to Cole as the AEW ones. He is talking about… THE ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS! Fans fire up for that! Truth be told, Cole owes his entire career to ROH. He would not be standing in this ring if not for ROH. And the wrestling that everyone here knows and loves, all that is thanks to a company like ROH! Fans cheer that, and Cole says he is a former and the only THREE-TIME ROH World Champion, former ROH World Television Champion, and a winner of Survival of the Fittest.
But the one title he never had was the ROH World Tag Team Championships. And when you look at the history of those who have held those belts, we’re talking the best of the best! Teams like: The Kings of Wrestling (Claudio Castagnoli & Chris Hero); reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly); Mark & Jay Briscoe! Fans love all those names, and Cole says those teams set the bar on what tag team wrestling is all about, and it is time for #BetterThanYouBaybay shows how damn good they really are. So, AEW All In Wembley Stadium goes live on August 27th, but just before that, AEW has something called The Zero Hour.
So to cut to the chase, not only does Cole think they should challenge for the ROH World Tag Team Championships, but dammit, they should BECOME the ROH World Tag Team Champions! MJF says that’s great and all, but uh, MJF is to wrestle not once but twice in one night? What is he, a pervert? Fans chant for “PERVERT! PERVERT!” Listen, listen, listen, hear MJF out. Normally, if people tried to convince him to even wrestle once a year, he tries to stab them in the face with a soldering iron. However, Cole is MJF’s brochacho for life, and luckily for him, MJF is a “sucker for a cheap pop.”
So COLUMBUS, OHIO…! Cheap pop attained… Who wants to see MJF & Adam Cole become the NEW A- Kidding. ROH World Tag Team Champions?! Ohio wants to see it! In that case, screw it! Then by the powers vested in MJF, as not just a scumbag but YOUR scumbag, Aussie Open… Zero Hour, Wembley, we are challenging YOU to a match for the ROH World Tag Team titles. And do you wanna know why? Because we’re better than you, BAYBAY! Fans are all fired up, but here comes Roderick Strong! He’s shouting for Adam, and he cannot believe this! He can’t believe Adam wants to win those tag titles with MJF, and not with an ROH legend and your REAL best friend, RODDY STRONG!
MJF has everyone hold on. “Listen up, Roddy ‘The Simp’ Strong, I’m getting real tired of your weirdo, jealous ex-girlfriend vibes. So here’s what I want you to do. I want you to do whatever all you weird generic White people normally do in this situation. I want you to get in your car, I want you to go home, I want you to run up the stairs, I want you to slam the door to your room, I want you to jump into your bed, I want you to cry into your Hello Kitty pillow, I want you to put your headphones on, I want you to listen to some Taylor Swift, and I want you to shake it off, you bland b*tch!”
Fans fire up and Strong is pacing. Strong is NOT a bland b*tch! MJF has the fans on his side but Cole is stuck in the middle. Strong asks Cole, “You’re seriously just gonna stand there and let him talk to me like that?” Cole sighs and Strong says nevermind, The Kingdom was RIGHT! Cole was never really Strong’s friend. Cole says that’s not true, but Strong turns around and The Kingdom is there! Matt Taven & Mike Bennett hug it out with Strong and MJF is sarcastic as he says that’s too bad. But good riddance! MJF asks Cole, “Can you believe that guy, dude?” But then Cole shoves MJF and asks MJF what is his problem!
Cole says he is MJF’s friend AND Strong’s friend! Do you understand? Cole jabs his finger into MJF’s chest, and MJF doesn’t like that. Cole cools off, apologizes, and fans want them to hug it out. Cole just wants MJF to understand there’s history here. MJF says okay, and they hug. Fans cheer, and MJF says it is fine, Cole can check on his boy. Cole hurries off to find Strong, and MJF keeps the fans cheering. Will MJF & Cole make All In historic from start to finish with this Zero Hour challenge? How is Cole’s past going to factor into it?
The Lucha Brothers w/ Alex Abrahantes VS Jon Moxley & Claudio Castagnoli!
We’ve heard everyone speak their minds on this match, and now it is time to back up those words with actions! Unlike the Triple Threat Tag, the Triple Threat Anything Goes and the Parking Lot Brawl, there are actual restrictions on this match! But will that not stop these two teams from drawing blood? Who will be left standing after this one?
Dynamite is picture in picture as The BCC finish their entrance from the crowd. Then Dynamite is single picture again as the Lucha Brothers make their entrance. But they creep in from the crowd side, too! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Claudio & Moxley! “CERO! MIEDO!” The Lucha Brothers DOUBLE TOPE! Direct hit and they put Claudio int he ring! The bell rings, Claudio knees low and whips, but Penta reverses to then GAMANGIRI in the corner! Feed to Fenix’s somersault CUTTER! Penta goes up, and DIVING DOUBLE STOMPS! Cover, TWO!! Claudio survives but then Fenix DIVES to take out Moxley!
Fans fire up as Penta stalks Claudio. Claudio swings but into the half nelson and pump handle, for MADE IN JAPAN! Cover, TWO!! Claudio survives again and fans fire up with the Lucha Brothers! Penta stalks Claudio as fans chant “CERO! MIEDO!” Claudio rises, Penta CHOPS him! Moxley has a bloody scrape on his forehead, Penta kicks Claudio low and Fenix goes up! “CERO! MIEDO!” But Claudio powers out and shoves Penta! Fenix CROSSBODIES to take Claudio down, and then Penta SUPERKICKS! Fenix SUPERKICKS! They count “UNO! DOS! TRES!” but Claudio moves and the kicks collide!
Claudio UPPERCUTS Fenix, and LARIATS Penta! Fans rally up as all three are down, and Yuta directs Claudio to the corner. Hot tag to Moxley! Moxley clotheslines Penta in the corner, stomps a mudhole in, then digs his boots in! The ref counts, Moxley lets off and whips Penta. Penta reverses, Moxley bounces off buckles and LARIATS Penta! Fenix springs in, but into a kick! Moxley underhooks, but then he catches Penta to a facelock! DOUBLE DDTS! Fans fire up as Moxley drags Penta up, but Penta wrenches out to kick low! Moxley swings, Penta dodges, then SLINGBLADES! Claudio LARIATS Penta!
Fenix runs in, Tiger Feint Rewind, but Claudio ducks the kick to waistlock. They go to ropes, the ref reprimands, and Aubrey has to pull Claudio away! Yuta has the ROH World Championship! He CLOBBERS Fenix!! Fans boo but Claudio trophy lifts to throw Fenix into the CUTTER!! Cover, TWO!! Fenix survives but Yuta cheers the BCC on. Moxley gator rolls Fenix over to the corner, tags in Claudio, and the BCC mugs Fenix. Claudio stalks Fenix, Fenix kicks at him, but Claudio CLUBS him down! Backstage interview with Kenny Omega.
Alex Marvez catches up with Kenny on his way out, and he brings up the Bucks pulling off that big win over the Hardys. And now we know it is official, Bucks VS FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championships at All In London. What are Omega’s plans? Kenny says FTR and the Bucks, those are four of the best wrestlers to ever do it, headed to the biggest stage in AEW’s history. Really, Omega hopes the Bucks win, but the fans are the real winners here. As for Omega, he has been told that next week, he is sitting down with Jim Ross in an interview to talk about his future, what’s going on with Don Callis & Takeshita, and more importantly, what Omega plans for All In. So look forward to that. See you later, Al. Aw, no scoop?
The Mogul Embassy is here.
Prince Nana, Brian Cage, Toa Liona & Bishop Kaun lead the way as Swerve Strickland and his new right hand man, AR Fox, make their way out. They all go to the ring, and Prince Nana gets the mic. First and foremost, shut the hecc up when he is talking, okay?! SHUT YOUR STINKIN’ FACE! But first and foremost, when the ENTIRE Mogul Embassy is in the ring, “you stupid fools should shut your faces up!” Swerve says they didn’t believe him when he said the Mogul Embassy was taking over, huh? That’s why last week, they had to prove a point and drive it home by going all the way to Seattle, visit the Buddy Wayne Academy in person, and putting the fear of God into Nick Wayne!
“And y’all think there’s gonna be some authority that’s gonna do something about it? NO! We own the authority! The Mogul Embassy is above the law. Especially in my city. In MY city, Seattle! They know whose house it is. Whose House?!” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Fox takes the mic tot ell Darby Allin, “Let’s not waste any time. Bring your ass out here!” The Embassy waits, and Darby makes his way out, a mic in his own hand! “Fox! Tell these people the whole story! Tell these people the whole story! I tried to call you, you would never answer! I lived with you and your demons. Don’t say I didn’t try! I tried to help you! I tried harder than anybody!”
Nana says no, don’t listen to Darby. Darby says there were days he didn’t know if Fox would survive. There was only ever one person that could save Fox, and that was Fox himself. So Darby had to go, he had to leave. And then what happened? Fox got to AEW all by himself! Darby didn’t even have to put the word in! So congratulations, AR Fox! Nana asks what the point of all this is. Darby says Fox is mad about Darby putting a word in for 16 year old Nick Wayne over Fox! Yeah, it is! Darby says he respects Fox. No matter what Fox does, Darby always credits Fox for changing his life. But it looks like Fox has new friends.
Fox needs to remember… Darby has some friends, too. Fans fire up and the lights go out! And when the lights come back up, IT’S STIIIIIING!! The ref counts, Anna lets off, and Menard is again barking at Shida. Anna stands Shida up to ROCK her with another forearm! And then snapmare to a BLOCKBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Winner: Hikaru Shida, by pinfall (still AEW Women’s World Champion)
Shida says it herself, she’s coming to Wembley as the champion! Toni Storm will be joining her, but who else will go All In with the Shining Samurai?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite here, with a lot more set up for All In since time is running out. And I must say, a lot done with just four matches. Dynamite usually has five or more. The JAS opening promo was a good move, though, with every member saying their part and bailing on Jericho. But then Jericho telling Don that his decision still has to be formally announced next week makes me think that maybe, just maybe, this is all a swerve to trick Don into revealing more of his team for the JAS to take on. Otherwise, there isn’t really a feud for them to take to All In or All Out.
And speaking of Anna, great main event from her and Shida. For that matter, the women’s title as the main event again is a great surprise. I mean, it isn’t fixing the “one match a show” problem, but I guess you have to commend Tony Khan for making their one match feel important. And we also have a great Women’s Championship match ready to go for All In, because as I said on Collision last Saturday, if you’re not going to have multiple matches a show, at least get as many women on the show as possible. Of the other matches, it is a bit too obvious though that Saraya is going to beat Skye and Britt is going to beat Bunny. Saraya is two-fold because one, she’s from the UK, and because she and Storm can work together as Outcasts. But I would think Shida survives to keep this reign going.
Awesome tag team match from Bucks VS Hardys, but what else were they going to give us? Though, I do have to say, Jeff was just a half step behind all the team spots early in the match. I’ll chalk that up to ring rust, it’s not like they were doing a lot of standard tag matches even after his return. And then great face to face with the Bucks and FTR to basically make their match for All In official. Kenny also had a good promo to plug his interview promo next week, that should be some good stuff. I suppose if Jericho really does join Callis’ faction, the readymade feud is with Kenny, and maybe Kenny brings Ibushi in one more time so the Golden Lovers can go All In against Jericho and Takeshita.
Really good FTW Championship match from Jack and RVD, but of course Jack uses the underhanded tactics to win. And he gets away with it all because of the No Disqualification aspect. Kudos to the ref taking a flying chair, that looked nasty. Not sure if Hook will go for his rematch at All In or All Out, but that has to be coming up next. Great stuff from from BCC and Lucha Brothers, both in their promos and in their match. Snatching the mask was a fairly clever way to skirt the rules and win for the BCC, but that beatdown they gave has to be a sign this is continuing. If the rematch is in All In, I feel like Pac, though injured, could be a factor. It’d be a great way for the Death Triangle to stick it to the BCC.
Good promo segment from Mogul Embassy and Darby. I like that Darby exposed “the truth” about what really happened between him and Fox in the past, and it makes sense Fox had a biased version of things which Swerve preyed upon. But great return from Sting, and I just knew we were getting a match of Darby & Sting VS Swerve & Fox. That is going to be great stuff, as will all the tune-up matches Darby is in both on Rampage and next Dynamite. Darby will survive Cage, but maybe Nick Wayne takes the loss against the Gates of Agony, and then it could be anyone’s guess for All In.
And just awesome promo stuff from MJF, Cole and the rest. That bro session vignette was great stuff, and as soon as MJF was cool learning about dodgeball, I knew it was gonna turn into MJF just beaning small children. Great in-ring promo from them, too, with MJF not holding back on all the usual low hanging fruit stuff when he thought they were gonna promo on each other. I did not think Cole was going to suggest going for the ROH World Tag Team Championships, but at the same time, how could they pass up on having a match against Aussie Open?
A little surprised they are gonna make this happen on the Zero Hour when they also have their match in the main event, but given Roddy & The Kingdom showed up to add on to this, you gotta believe that Roddy & The Kingdom are going to be part of why Cole & MJF fall apart as a team. Cole & MJF lose, one of them gets mad at the other because of what happens with Roddy, Taven & Bennett, the turn happens and there is instant animosity for the main event title match.
My Score: 8.8/10

MVP speaks.
“I’m not just adept at managing the affairs of the Hurt Syndicate. I am an expert in managing how much oxygen you can breathe. For the first time in two-and-a-half years, MVP’s taking off the suit and lacing up the boots. We are the Hurt Syndicate…” Shelton Benjamin finishes the line with, “And we hurt people.” Will they do just that against Mark Briscoe & Private Party? We find out just after the break.
Chris Jericho speaks.
“Hi, guys~! Welcome to another New York Minute. I hope everybody’s enjoying Dynamite tonight right here in Cincinnati, in the heart of the Bluegrass State. But you’re gonna enjoy yourselves even more this Saturday on Collision, as we get ready for one of the biggest, most anticipated matches in Collision history. It’s gonna be The Learning Tree and Jon Moxley’s Death Riders VS Rated FTR, The Outrunners, and Powerhouse Hobbs.” Bryan Keith says, “That’s a dozen mother effers!” Jericho and Big Bill both give a concerned sideways glance, then Bill continues by saying, “As the Learning Tree always says, ‘Size matters.'”
Jericho says yes it does indeed, Redwood! And they also know all about their opponents, especially Rated FTR! The Learning Tree has already shown that Cope is a Dope, and Harwood is No Good! What’s Jericho got for Cash Wheeler? Uh… Wheeler… is a Kneeler! Get it? Like, he’s kneeling at the feet of the King of New York! Sick burn, LT. Jericho knows everyone is asking why Jericho and Moxley are tagging together, how could they possibly get along? Well, Jericho will say this. He has known Moxley a long time, and he can guarantee that they will be on the same page. Right? That’s it! Another New York Minute! Thanks, guys~!
Well, it is certainly a star-studded 6v6 set up for Saturday, but will things go Jericho’s way? Or will the #RatedFTRunners and The Book of Hobbs be the ones to punctuate Maximum Carnage?
“Everyone, show some love for… Ricochet!”
What? The fans boo as The One & Only makes his way out here, golden scissors in his lapel pocket. Those are the very same scissors Ricochet used to assault Swerve Strickland like a complete psycho! Ricochet tells the fans to hush before he steps into the ring, then he grabs a mic. The fans chant “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Ricochet is very annoyed by this, and he asks they all quiet down. The fans boo instead. Ricochet wants to speak but he’s rather flustered. The “SWERVE’S HOUSE” chants return and that riles Ricochet up a bit more. Ricochet paces, and says, “Y’know what? It’s okay. That’s how it’s gonna be? Listen. A picture is worth a thousand words.” And so on the tron is the image of Ricochet holding a bloodied Swerve up by his dreadlocks.
But then “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” The man himself is here! Ricochet says okay, he’s ready. But no he’s not, cuz Nana slides in from the crowd! Nana SMACKS Ricochet on the back, then does his dance! The fans cheer as now the Most Dangerous Man walks his way out here, chain draped over his shoulders. Ricochet scrambles away before Swerve can lash him! Ricochet runs away into the crowd but Swerve is in pursuit! Swerve shoves security out of his way, but Ricochet’s escaped to the cold streets of Cincinnati! Will Swerve get his hands on his new target next time?
AEW shares “A Day in the Life of a CEO.”
That is to say, we’re following Mercedes Mone as she does her media rounds. “First, we make money.” Mone was a special guest on the Sherri Shepherd show shortly after winning even more gold at WrestleDynasty. Sherri got to admire the “Queen of Southside” Championship that comes along with the Rev-Pro Undisputed British Women’s Championship, both of which Mone won off Mina Shirakawa. Mone signed autographs, took pictures with fans, and Sherri promised that she’ll be there whenever Mone’s in town. “Then, we shop.” Mone bought herself some new jewelry with the money she surely earned becoming a FOUR BELT CEO.
“Them, we train.” Mone knows it is a New Year, and she is dripping with gold! She also knows having four belts puts an even bigger target on her back, but she stays ready! Whoever wants to jump on the Money Train next, let’s go! #MoneChangesEverything, but will she continue to stack dollars and collect titles?
Six Man Tag: Mark Briscoe & Private Party VS The Hurt Syndicate!
The Sussex County Chicken was not a chicken when it came to facing down any of the men in the Hurt Syndicate, but that’s why he ended up getting beat up 3v1! Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy came to Briscoe’s rescue, especially since they were told to their faces that the Hurt Syndicate wants the AEW World Tag Team Championships. BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!
After Swerve Strickland almost got his revenge on Ricochet, these two will have THREE WEEKS to prepare themselves for a showdown! Dynamite will be in Atlanta, Georgia on February 5th, who will survive this grudge match?
Jeff Jarrett is here!
Cincinnati cheers as Double J makes his way to the ring, and he grabs a mic to say, “What’s up, Cincinnati? Y’know, the last few weeks, I mean, they sure have been humbling for me.” But then before he can say more, MJF makes his way out here! The fans are torn seeing the Wolf of Wrestling strut out here, and he has them cut his music. MJF steps into the ring with Jarrett, throws his gum into the crowd, and says, “Humbling? Jeff Jarrett, you have yet to learn the definition of the word. Last week, I gave you the opportunity of a lifetime, bud. And you had the audacity to turn me down?”
Jarrett tells Max to not even get started. MJF was too lazy to enter the gauntlet, so he came up with some scheme- MJF shouts for Jarrett to NEVER interrupt him!! The fans boo but MJF cools off. He just wants “Jeffery” to get real. This is MJF. If MJF retired tomorrow, he’d go into the AEW Hall of Fame! He’s a living legend! Jarrett walks around like he is one, too, and he sure has the “dumb shmucks” convinced. But allow MJF to “school all the simple-minded folk on the real legacy of The Last Outlaw. Emphasis on ‘Last,’ because Jeff Jarrett is the last thing you see before your favorite wrestling company dies.”
The fans boo but Jarrett laughs that off. MJF tells Double J that this last year with the possibility of him winning MJF’s Triple B would be “a whole lot cuter and warmer and fuzzier” if Jarrett wasn’t “literally the definition of a pro-wrestling grim reaper.” The fans boo, MJF says he is talking, so what’re they doing? Shut up! MJF continues by saying that when he thinks on Jarrett’s career, it is enough to make him wanna drink. Oh… Sorry, MJF took it way too far. He knows Jarrett is a raging alcoholic. Recovering! Sorry, MJF meant recovering. But hey, MJF just had a great idea! “Listen to me, you fat skank, I’m talking, shut your fat mouth!”
The fans boo but MJF goes on to say he has a great idea. How about for the health of AEW and for Jarrett, MJF sends Jarrett packing back to rehab where he belongs. But hey, do MJF a favor before then. Make sure that sexy wife of his, Karen, sticks around. MJF happens to be a big fan of hers. But hey, he’s not a monster, he’s the Salt of the Earth. So when MJF’s “through with her,” he’ll ship her back to Tennessee for Jarrett. That way, Jarrett can be the first man in history to know what a generational talent and an Olympic gold medalist’s nuts taste like!! The fans boo but Jarrett still laughs MJF off.
“Max, Max, Max… Not only everything you just said was crude and stupid, but it’s all been said before a thousand times. It’s all been done before a thousand times. But let’s get to the heart of the matter, Max. Let’s get to business.” Jarrett knows the best years of his career are behind him. But last Summer, when Jarrett entered the Owen Hart Cup, the AEW fans awakened a passion in him. The fans cheer that! The fans awakened a desire Jarrett didn’t even know he still had. And Jarrett will do everything in his power to keep that fire going, to keep that passion going, because it’s the one thing that puts him on track to the AEW World Championship.
The fans cheer again, and Jarrett tells Max, back to that shtick. MJF thinks he can just poke fun at Jarrett, have his zingers, and hurt Jarrett’s feelings, right? Oh, Max, Jarrett was MJF before MJF was MJF! Everything MJF can say or do, Jarrett has done. He did it before MJF, and he did it better than you. But hey, hold on! Before we get all bent out of shape, MJF kinda confused Jarrett. Jarrett isn’t sure if MJF’s a dumbass or a scumbag. But knowing where MJF comes from, maybe it’s all the above. Because hear Jarrett out, there are days where Jarrett feels sorry for MJF. The fans chant, “He’s Our Scumbag!” and Jarrett agrees.
But see, Jarrett has some family history on this scumbag. MJF had a tough upbringing. It must’ve been tough being raised by a call girl for a mother. And MJF’s ambulance chancing attorney of an old man, well, it must be tough being raised by that. Jarrett knows for a fact that when Mr. Friedman knocked Mrs. Friedman up, she still made him pay for that. MJF is seething but Jarrett tells him to hold on. The old saying goes, “We all marry our mommies.” So that’s very fitting for MJF when his old lady is nothing but a Canadian call girl.
And oh, one final thing. This very ring, the night MJF was tearing the house down with Will Ospreay, that was just his version of 60 Minutes Through. At the same time, in the back parking lot, his old lady was doing her version of 60 Minutes Through, with about ten other wrestlers! Max, look at Jarrett! MJF needs Jarrett, and he doesn’t even know why. But it’s because MJF is drowning in his own s*it! MJF may be lazy, entitled, and a pr*ck, but deep down, he’s a scared little boy. MJF was scared to enter the enter the gauntlet, scared that at just 28 years of age, his best years are behind him, and he’s scared of ever getting back on top.
And like Jarrett said last week, MJF is scared of becoming a one hit wonder! The fans chant “One Hit Wonder!” at MJF, but MJF says no no no! One Hit Wonder? Scared? MJF is NOTHING like Jarrett! MJF didn’t need his daddy to make him a top guy, MJF didn’t need to start his own company to be a top guy, because MJF made MJF! We saw in the past what happens when Jarrett is “King of the Mountain,” but let’s talk about when MJF is king. MJF is the only man to thank for the biggest pro-wrestling show of all time: 82 THOUSAND, Wembley Stadium, AEW All In! MJF is the one to thank for the record PPV buys, record TV ratings, and record ticket sales!
MJF was the BEST IN THE WORLD! The fans do cheer that. MJF says Jarrett can laugh all he wants, because then MJF got screwed. Screwed out of his world championship! His name, his legacy, his reputation, dragged through the mud to this day! The same people who put MJF on a pedestal now have willingly, with a smile on their face, taken it out from under and treated him like nothing! MJF ain’t nothing! And MJF will tell Jeff something! MJF doesn’t want to win the world title, he NEEDS to win it so he can shove it down every single one of their throats! But instead, MJF has to wait in line for Jeff Jarrett?
MJF laughs and say should on here. With all due respect, the people aren’t very bright. And with all due respect, no wrestling fan has ever given a single, solitary s*it about Jarrett. But y’know what really pisses MJF off, Slapnuts? The fact that “just because” Jarrett was best friends with Owen Hart, Jarrett thinks he his owed a grand finale? Jarrett may have had all these stupid, simple-minded shmucks convinced, but MJF sees through Jarrett’s BS. During the Owen Cup, Jeff saw through the “carny succubus.” Jarrett is nothing more than a LEECH, riding the coattails of his DEAD FRIEND!
Oh, did MJF strike a chord now? He thought Jarrett was all tough. Or does he just not like it when MJF talks about his old pal, Owen Hart? JARRETT DECKS MJF! Jarrett rains down fists and the fans fire up! Security rushes out there and they drag Jarrett away, but Jarrett throws them all away! Jarrett CLOBBERS MJF, but Karen rushes out here! Karen gets Jeff to stop, but then MJF grabs Karen in a SLEEPER! The fans boo, MJF throws Karen at Jeff, then runs away. The Wolf of Wrestling is again a worm, will The Last Outlaw make sure to exterminate him once and for all?

Maximum Carnage this Saturday was already big, but now we add some gold! Kazuchika Okada faces former Chaos teammate, Tomohiro Ishii, in a defense of the Continental Championship! Will the Rainmaker make it rain in Cincy? Or will the Stone Pitbull sink his teeth into an AEW title?

Hook storms up to Christian, fires body shots, and he backs Christian into a corner! Christian bumps Hook off buckles, CHOPS, then reels him in! REVERSE DDT! Cover, TWO!
Christian stays on Hook by CLAWING his face! The ref reprimands, Christian stops, and Christian soaks up the heat. Christian CLUBS Hook down, stands on that bad hand, then stands Hook back up. Christian puts Hook on ropes, then CHOKES him by standing on his back! The ref counts, Christian steps off, and Shibata coaches Hook while Christian hugs his “family.” Hook rises up, Christian brings him around and hits a snapmare. The ref counts, Christian shifts into a legal chinlock, but Hook endures. Hook fights around, Maximum Carnage returns to single picture, and Hook throws body shots! Hook runs, but Christian ELBOWS him at the ropes! The fans boo but Christian paces around Hook. Christian stands Hook up in a corner, climbs up, and now he rains down fists! Christian stares Taz down between punches, but Hook brings Christian off the corner with a fireman’s carry! Christian grabs ropes in desperation, so Hook TOSSES him out! The fans and Taz all fire up! Christian staggers, Hook FLYING FOREARMS from the apron!
The fans fire up while Kip & Nick coach Christian. Hook SMACKS Christian off the steel steps! And then runs up to KNEE Christian against the steel! The fans cheer as Hook puts Christian’s hand on the steps! Hook steps up to STOMP- NO, Christian avoids getting his hand crushed! And then he YANKS Hook off the steps! Hook lands bad on his lower back, but Christian pushes him into the ring. Christian climbs the corner, and FROG SPLASHES! Cover, TWO! Hook survives and the fans fire up! AEW hears from the Men’s Casino Gauntlet participants.
Roderick Strong tells “JAAAAY… White,” that Roddy should’ve won that #1 spot in the Casino Gauntlet, but he wants White to know that Roddy’s not done with him yet. The Switchblade’s response is that Roddy Strong shoulda-coulda-woulda. If Roddy wanted to win so badly, he should’ve tried harder. As for Wheeler Yuta, he was the one to stop White. So if Yuta wants White’s attention, then fine! He’s got it! As for Adam Cole, he said that match had the best of the best. It had Hangman Page, it had Daniel Garcia, and- Kyle O’Reilly stops Cole there. Danny Garcia? Really? Kyle doesn’t see it. Not everyone is as good as they say they are, Adam.
Garcia himself says people keep saying that Garcia is stretching himself just a little bit thin. If he’s TNT Champion, why’s he in the Continental Classic? Why’s he in a Casino Gauntlet? Garcia wants to fight every single week! So if you want a shot at Garcia’s gold… Cole says The Undisputed Kingdom IS as good as they say they are, and in 2025, they promise us… #LetsGetIt! The Kingdom will get their hands on gold, and that is undisputed! Everyone’s gunning for someone, but who gets what they want? And who gets just what they deserve?
Backstage interview with Jeff Jarrett.
AEW returns as Renee Paquette is with Double J, and she brings up that confrontation between him and MJF. Jarrett said the AEW audience has awoken the passion in him, and that MJF is scared. But then MJF got under Jarrett’s skin, so where do they go from here? Jarrett takes a moment to think, but then Dustin Rhodes steps in! The Natural says what MJF said pissed him off, too. Dustin asks Jarrett, “How many years have we known each other? How many years have we driven up and down these roads, grinding our asses off because of the passion and love for this business? A lot. He doesn’t know a thing about that, and you know that.”
Dustin says MJF’s been in this business a minute, yet he’ll dictate to Jarrett and disrespect him? THAT pisses Dustin off! Dustin is 110% behind Jarrett, and wants Jarrett to fulfill the dream of becoming AEW World Champion. Max doesn’t know everything that guys like Jarrett and Dustin have been through. Knocked down, dragged through s*it, and then gotten back up, because that’s what they do! MJF has no clue! Whatever MJF does to Jarrett, Dustin knows Jarrett’s been through it. Just like Dustin has. But remember this: You’re Jeff Jarrett! A 12-TIME WORLD CHAMPION, and that means something!
Jarrett is the Last Outlaw, and outlaws never die. So please, just remember this. The two of them, they are the very last of their kind. Will this motivation from the dual ROH World Tag Team & ROH World Six Man Tag Champion be fuel on the fire that Jarrett uses to reach the mountaintop?
Mariah May is here!
The Glamour brings her AEW Women’s World Championship to commentary as she prepares to watch the women’s division fight for their shot at her.
AEW Women’s World Championship #1 Contender’s Casino Gauntlet!
The gentlemen had their fun, now the ladies finally get to roll the dice! The first-ever Women’s Casino Gauntlet will send one woman to Grand Slam: Australia, who faces “The Woman From Hell” when AEW goes Down Under?
Kris Statlander is first, a right she earned when she defeated Willow Nightingale and Toni Storm in last week’s Triple Threat. But who starts with her? It’s JAMIE HAYTER! Hayter Hits Hard, but will she punch her ticket to Australia? The bell rings, we’re on the clock, and Mariah thanks commentary for having her. The Princess of the Black Throne got a win off Hayter not that long ago, and she dares Hayter to come back for more! They brawl at the ramp! The fans fire up as Hayter CLUBS away on Julia, then snap suplexes her on the ramp! Julia writhes, Kris and Bayne brawl ringside, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Mariah is only a little worried, but Hayter CLUBS away on Julia in the ring. Bayne sends Kris into barriers! Hayter and Julia fire fists, then Hayter ROCKS Julia! Willow & Kris work together to DOUBLE SUPLEX Bayne!
The fans fire up, and Kris & Willow smile as it’s like the old days. Mariah mocks the “friendship” while the two square up. Willow CHOPS Kris, Kris CHOPS back, repeat! The fans “WOO~” as each CHOP echoes out! Willow ducks a chop, shoves Kris, then runs to POUNCE~! PERIOD! The countdown is back already, and the sixth woman is… TONI STORM! Cover, Hayter breaks it with a deadlift GERMAN SUPLEX! Hayter snarls but Julia runs up to clinch!

But Toni snatches Julia into a cradle! TONI WINS!!
Winner: Toni Storm, by pinfall (NEW #1 Contender to the AEW Women’s World Championship)
Mariah is mockingly happy for “the rookie,” and Toni herself is stunned that she’s getting a world title match in her home country! This is quite the remake of a timeless classic, but will they flip the script on the original? Or will it still be All About Mariah?
AEW World Championship: Jon Moxley w/ The Death Riders VS “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs!
The last time The Maniac was in the Book of Hobbs, it was AEW Homecoming, and it was for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. Moxley didn’t so much win as he did retain, given Hobbs went down with injury rather quickly. But while Moxley traded NJPW’s top title for AEW’s, Hobbs only has a bigger chip on his shoulder. Will Hobbs come through on his promise to make Jon Moxley his b*tch? Or will Moxley make sure his homecoming is a victorious one?
The introductions are made, but Moxley delays getting in the ring so that the rest of the Death Riders can flank the ring! Hobbs sees Pac, he sees Claudio, but then Moxley runs in and CLOBBERS Hobbs! The bell rings, the fans boo, but Moxley fires forearms in a corner! Moxley doesn’t stop as the ref counts, the ref tries to back him off, but Moxley gets in the ref’s face about it. Hobbs storms up to hoist Moxley up! OVERHEAD SUPLEX! Hobbs fires hands on Moxley now, the fans fire up, but the ref counts. Hobbs ROCKS Moxley, then stalks him to a corner. Hobbs CLUBS Moxley in the chest, then stalks him to another corner.
Hobbs pushes Moxley against buckles, CLUBS him again, then paces. The fans rally, Hobbs whips, but Moxley KCIKS and CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Hobbs just scowls, so Moxley fires forearms! Moxley runs, but Hobbs RUNS Moxley over! The fans fire up, but there are some Moxley fans still in Cincy. Hobbs goes out after Moxley and ROCKS him! Moxley dangles over barriers, but Hobbs CLUBS him! The ref wants this in the ring so Hobbs pushes him in. Hobbs storms in, Moxley fires kicks, then fires forearms! Moxley runs, BOOTS Hobbs, and he has Hobbs in the ropes!
Moxley runs, BOOTS Hobbs again, then he runs! Moxley DIVES and hits Hobbs into barriers! Moxley pursues, they go around the timekeeper’s area, and now they brawl in the crowd! The fans fire up, Hobbs CHOPS Moxley, but the ref wants this in the ring! Hobbs pursues Moxley, CLUBS him, then keeps after him. They go back to ringside, Hobbs CLAWS Moxley’s back, then shoves him over barriers! Hobbs stalks Moxley back into the ring, Moxley wants Hobbs to hold on, and then Moxley CLAWS Hobbs’ face! Then he BITES Hobbs’ face! Moxley has Hobbs in a corner and rains down fists! The fans count to TEN, then Moxley flips Hobbs off!
Cincy is all fired up, both for and against Moxley, but Hobbs just glares up at him. Moxley talks trash, but Hobbs carries Moxley from the corner! Moxley fires elbows, but Hobbs RAMS him into buckles! Hobbs puts Moxley up top, climbs up after him, and he pulls on that earring in Moxley’s left ear! Hobbs tells the ref to back off, and then he BITES Moxley’s ear! And then BITES it again! Is he trying to eat the earring?! The ref counts, Hobbs lets off and lets Moxley tumble while fans tell him he’s sick. Moxley staggers up, but Hobbs BLASTS him off the apron! The fans rally while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Hobbs snarls, just a bit of blood in his teeth from biting Moxley. Hobbs paces while Marina Shafir checks on Moxley. Hobbs then goes out the side, storms around the way, and he looms over Moxley. Hobbs whips Moxley into barriers! Moxley tumbles over and into the timekeeper’s area! Hobbs is after Moxley with a rain of fists! The ref reprimands, Hobbs stops and goes back to the ring. Hobbs then goes back out to fetch Moxley. Hobbs BITES the ear again! Moxley pushes Hobbs away and staggers around, that ear definitely bleeding. Hobbs storms up to BITE the ear more! Hobbs is going savage, but Moxley dares him to do more!
Moxley fires a forearm, but Hobbs juts ROCKS Moxley! Moxley staggers away, Hobbs pursues him to the steel steps, and they both go back to the ring. Moxley staggers around a little more, and Hobbs pumps up! Hobbs ROCKS Moxley again! Moxley bounces off ropes then falls over! Hobbs stalks Moxley, drags him up, and he ROCKS Moxley again! Moxley wobbles but stays up, even with that ear bleeding. Moxley fires a forearm, but Hobbs shrugs that off. Moxley fires another forearm, and another, and another! Hobbs ROCKS Moxley again! Moxley falls over, the ref checks him, but Moxley is already rising back up.
Moxley pounds the mat, and he eggs Hobbs on. Hobbs BOOTS Moxley down! Moxley rises, the blood from his ear making more a crimson scarf than a mask. Hobbs BOOTS Moxley again! Moxley roars, so Hobbs BOOTS him again! Maximum Carnage returns to single picture as Moxley rises up. Hobbs BOOTS him, but Moxley SLAPS Hobbs! Hobbs runs, but into a CUTTER! Moxley lured Hobbs into a trap, but both men are down! The fans fire up as Moxley crawls, and Moxley dares Hobbs to bring the fight. Both men stand, Moxley fires a forearm, but Hobbs returns fire! The fans are torn as the forearms go back and forth!
Hobbs runs, Moxley TOSSES him out! Moxley distracts the ref so that Marina can BOOT Hobbs! The fans definitely boo that, but Moxley goes out to drag Hobbs up. Moxley puts Hobbs in, takes aim, and then underhooks Hobbs! Hobbs powers up, breaks free, then CLOBBERS Moxley! Moxley flounders to a corner, the fans rally and duel, and Hobbs feeds off the “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Hobbs runs up to CLOBBER Moxley! Moxley rises, Hobbs LARIATS again! Mox is back up, Hobbs SPLASHES in the corner! Hobbs winds up to fire point-blank LARIATS in the corner again and again! The fans rally, Hobbs stops at the ref’s count.
Hobbs scoops, Moxley slips free! Underhook and- NO, Hobbs scoops Moxley! WORLD’S STRONGEST SLAM!! Cover, TWO!! Moxley survives, Marina is relieved, but Hobbs puts Moxley on the top rope. Hobbs climbs, scoops, and lifts Moxley for a SUPER SWINGING POWERSLAM! But Moxley rolls through to have the ARMBAR!! Moxley pulls on the arm, Hobbs endures, and the fans duel even harder! Moxley pulls but Hobbs manages to clasp hands! Hobbs turns and has the ROPEBREAK! Moxley lets go, but then he has Hobbs for a KIMURA int he ropes! The ref counts, Moxley stops and Hobbs crawls to the ramp.
The fans hope these two “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this show has to end somehow. Hobbs rises, and WHEELER YUTA BUSAIKU KNEES!! The Decoder finally shows himself and it was at the most opportune time! The fans boo as Yuta then slithers away, and Moxley goes out after Hobbs. Moxley drags Hobbs into the ring, then vows to end this! But Hobbs hits a SPINEBUSTER!! The fans fire up and Hobbs brings down the straps! Hobbs snarls, brings Moxley up into a torture rack, but Moxley slips free! SLEEPER! Hobbs goes to the ropes, BUCKS Moxley, but then Marina SMACKS Hobbs with the title briefcase!!
The fans boo again but Moxley rolls Hobbs up! TWO?!?! Hobbs survives another cheap shot and the fans fire up! Moxley underhooks, PARADIGM SHIFT!! Cover, TWO!??! Moxley is furious but he clamps on the BULLY CHOKE!! Hobbs endures, but he fades out! Moxley wins!!
Winner: Jon Moxley, by submission (still AEW World Champion)
Hobbs lost only because this turned into a 5v1 handicap match! And speaking of, that’s what’s happening again as The Death Riders mug Hobbs! They stomp away, then sit Hobbs up. Claudio has a chair! But Hobbs THROWS Yuta, CHOKES Pac, but Claudio CHOP BLOCKS the bad leg! Claudio pulls the leg brace off while Pac & Mox CHOKE Hobbs! Yuta adds stomps, and Moxley SMASHES the bad leg! Claudio puts the chair around the bad leg, they want to put Hobbs back on the shelf! Claudio STOMPS the chair!! But here comes Rated FTR!! A little too late, unfortunately, and The Death Riders retreat.
Adam Copeland, Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood check on Hobbs, but there’s a chance the 12 Man Tag just turned into a 6v5 Handicap Match. Will anyone ever be able to stop Moxley’s reign of terror? Or will the carnage not end with Collision?
My Thoughts:
A great episode for AEW, though I’m not sure on their own claim of “It’s like a PPV on TV!” I only say that because we got the usual TV level shenanigans in a few of these matches. Omega VS Cage was a great match for Omega’s return to AEW, but Omega VS Gabe at WrestleDynasty is a hard act to follow. Great win for Omega, but of course The Don Callis Family beats him up. A little surprised they also got the better of Ospreay, but when it was 4v2, that made sense. I’m sure we’ll get Omega & Ospreay against like, Archer & Cage, that’s a win, and then Omega & Ospreay face Kyle & Konosuke. Maybe that’s another win, maybe not, but it feels like they want Omega VS Konosuke for something big, especially while Konosuke is a double champion.
Very good promo from MVP before the Six Man Tag, but did we need a New York Minute with Jericho? Well, I guess it had to happen some time so Jericho could get his digs in on Rated FTR, but maybe it could’ve been after the Six Man Tag? We got that promo and the Mercedes Mone vignette between MVP’s promo and the Six Man Tag and it seemed like an odd choice. Mone’s promo was still good stuff, and an idea of Mone VS Athena is floating around the fandom. I feel like they’d save that closer to All In: Texas, as Athena is from Texas. That’s months from now but I could still see both Mone and Athena having the belts they have now going into that match.
Great Six Man Tag but I figured the Hurt Syndicate would win. And while we got a good promo from all the different Casino Gauntlet entries, I really hope TK isn’t pivoting away from Garcia VS Shelton for the TNT Championship. Granted, Kyle O’Reilly VS Daniel Garcia would make an awesome one-off. Jay White VS Roddy Strong will also be a really good 1v1 match, but I would think White sticks to going after Yuta and the Death Riders. Very good promo from Ricochet, in that he barely got to say anything because of the Heel heat he’s got. Swerve & Nana getting the drop on Ricochet was good stuff, too, but I have no idea why we’re waiting THREE WEEKS for their match when it won’t even be on Grand Slam: Australia or anything.
Okada VS Ishii for Collision is great stuff, but I don’t understand when that promo they showed happened. Did I somehow miss it last Saturday on Collision? Or was that supposed to be part of tonight’s show that they had to trim for time? And I think I can see why they’d have to trim it: MJF and Jeff Jarrett took too damn long to get to the point. Both guys made good points, but they either played to the crowd too much, or Jarrett was searching for the words to insult MJF back. Dustin having a part was good, too, but I don’t see him factoring into the rest of the story.
Great match from Christian VS Hook, and I suppose the disqualification finish protects both sides. Was Joe out that long for injury? It’s the only thing that would explain why Joe never returned to finish things with Jericho while it was still relevant. Now, Joe, Hook & Shibata are feuding with Patriarchy instead Great stuff with the Women’s Casino Gauntlet, such as Megan Bayne making a great return to AEW. Though I’m sure they could’ve added a couple more entrants to beef this up a bit more. Again, maybe time constraints because of MJF and Jarrett. But in the end, what a clever way to get us back to Mariah VS Toni. There’s literally a month left to build this, I can’t wait to see the promos from “new girl” Toni with “veteran” Mariah.
And of course, a great match from Moxley VS Hobbs, especially with Hobbs going for ear blood. But of course The Death Riders got involved all over the place to screw Hobbs out of that win. At least Hobbs still got to look strong surviving as many cheap tactics as he did. But I really hate the trope of a Face rescue that’s “a little too late.” If Rated FTR was here, and they were seeing this happen, why not get out there before Hobbs’ knee gets chair guillotined? I understand them wanting to put the cliche “pressure” on the Faces for Collision, as Hobbs is the strongest part of that team and now he’s far less than 100%, but c’mon. Also, pretty sure The Death Riders will abandon The Learning Tree to have them lose to Rated FTRunners, as they’re above such a mess of a match.
My Score: 8.7/10
