Adam “Edge” Copeland is here!

Worcester, Massachusetts goes wild as The Rated R TNT Champion gets his pyro before he heads to the ring. Edge is feeling good after coming off his first defense and the return of the Cope Open, and he gets the mic to say, “I see you. I see you. So, uh… I came out here to talk to y’all. I didn’t bring my TNT Championship, I came out here as Adam to talk out here to you. Everybody having fun?” The fans cheer yes, and that’s what he wanted to hear. He wants to have fun, but first, he has to talk about something. He’s been getting a lot of feedback, just like from his mic because it’s live TV, but there’s been some negative BS spewed out there.

But Edge says screw that! Edge wants to talk about the positives. If you’re a fan of pro-wrestling, then it is a great time to be a fan of pro-wrestling because there are a lot of positives. If you’re here, watching at home, or even on social media just to complain, then you’re a fan of pro-wrestling. Edge is a fan of pro-wrestling! He grew up, watched WWF. Don’t boo that, you’re missing the point. This is to celebrate all of it! He watched NWA! Stampede Wrestling out of Calgary! That was where Owen Hart got his start. There was BC All-Star, International Wrestling, and Edge ate it all up because he loves pro-wrestling!

Edge knows the fans have heard this before but bare with him, this is dear to his heart. For nine YEARS, he had this torn away, but he worked to get it back because he loved it so damn much. But when he sat down and started thinking about the end, which let’s face it, he’s closer to the end of his career than the start. But he thought that AEW is where he needed to end his career. A lot of people didn’t understand, but Edge saw the roster, and it was a Murderer’s Row of talent. He has been in some of the best locker rooms of all time, and he’d put this roster up against anyone.

Edge came here to face Will Ospreay! He came here to face Kenny Omega, wish him well. He could face Hangman Page, Swerve Strickland, Samoa Joe, Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, Darby Allin, FTR, The Young Bucks, Buddy Matthews, Brody King and Malakai Black. And by the way, those would all be first-time-ever matches, how crazy is that? The fans love it! Edge says that only happens in AEW. Now, he’s got a lot of friends in the industry, they call him up and say he looks like he’s having a blast. Guess what? He is. This is not hyperbole or knocking any other place. He has had a great career, had fun everywhere he’s been, but this is the most fun he’s had his entire 32 YEARS!

So Edge celebrates AEW! The fans chant for “A E DUB!” in support, and Edge says he celebrates the men who started this place. That means the Bucks, Kenny and Cody! And Tony Khan, too. Those guys are all fans of this, just like Edge, and just like all of us! That ain’t a negative or something to be mocked. They love this! A E W has pushed this industry into a better place! A E W has pushed everyone into a better place! It has given more people a chance to do what they love for a living, and that should be celebrated! A E W makes pro-wrestling better! A E W makes pro-wrestling more fun! And A E W is where the best wrestle!

The fans cheer and Edge says he’s calming down now. No mic feedback, we’re good. Thank you for hearing him out, he had to get that off his chest, he asked for this time here, so thank you. But now, it is time to move forward! AEW is moving forward! AEW is walking into the future! There’s a reason Okada came here! That Mercedes Mone came here, that Ospreay came here, that EDGE came here! So without further ado, let him introduce to us a man that symbolizes everything that AEW will be going forward. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s the Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay! The fans fire up as now the #BillyGoat makes his way out here!

Edge called out the House of Black in his list of name drops because their battle will happen at Dynasty, the same night as Ospreay has his dream match with Bryan Danielson. But first, Ospreay gets to shake hands with Edge, then glances at the TNT Championship. Maybe that battle will happen in the near future, but first, it’s another Don Callis Family Feud! It is a Battle of Wills, but whose will proves to be the stronger?

Will Ospreay VS “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs!

Callis joins commentary to say, “Welcome to another edition of Callis Championship Wrestling, where the best wrestle the best.” Ospreay shakes Hobbs’ hand but Hobbs denies the bro hug. Hobbs turns around to tell Callis he signed Ospreay up for this. FALL AWAY SLAM over the desk! The fans boo but Hobbs soaks it all up. Callis may have made a bad call here, but there’s nothing that can be done now as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Hobbs leaves Ospreay behind to go into the ring, and the ref reprimands him for tossing Ospreay. Hobbs just mocks the United Empire crown. Ospreay crawls out from behind the desk, Schiavone and Callis moving aside, and Ospreay makes it back to the ring. Hobbs goes out to haul Ospreay in, then stalks him to a corner. Hobbs stands Ospreay up to ROCK him, then shove him down. Hobbs stalks Ospreay as the fans rally up, CLUBS him, but Ospreay fires forearms in return! Hobbs DECKS Ospreay with just one! Hobbs looms over Ospreay, drags him back up, then scoops. Hobbs SLAMS Ospreay, then taunts him.

Hobbs paces around, Callis applauds because he just wants the Family to be strong, but then Hobbs throws body shots. Hobbs top wristlocks just to open Hobbs up for another body shot! Ospreay writhes while clutching ribs, but Hobbs stalks him to ropes. Hobbs CHOKES Ospreay, lets off at the ref’s count, then clamps on with a neck wrench. Osrpeay endures, Dynamite returns to single picture, and the fans rally as Ospreay fights up. Ospreay throws body shots, forearms, but Hobbs throws another! Callis keeps Hobbs from going after Ospreay, this was all in friendly competition! He whispers something to Hobbs and Ospreay isn’t sure what to make of this. Is Callis only tearing his own family apart like this? But wait, here comes Bryan Danielson. The American Dragon is playing the same games he did with Eddie Kingston not too long ago. Will Bryan regret stepping on Ospreay’s moment? Or can he prove anything Ospreay can do, he can do better? Bryan takes on the Murderhawk Monster, after the break!

Renee Paquette is on stage.

Dynamite returns and Renee welcomes Worcester back. She also wants them to help her welcome her guest, Lionheart Chris Jericho! Jericho makes his entrance, and Renee says that for weeks, we’ve seen his relationship with Hook. Where are we? What’s the status? Jericho says last week, he told Hook that he had a proposition where he offered to be a mentor. And even though Hook agreed to it, he said something to Jericho has been stuck in Jericho’s head all week. Jericho wants to clarify something, so he wants to bring Hook out. Hit the Hook Signal! The signal shines in the sky, and here comes the FTW Champion!

Worcester cheers as Hook stands on stage with Jericho and Renee, and Jericho has the fans give it up one more time. Jericho tells Hook that last week, when he offered his mentorship, Hook said he’d love that but he also knows who Jericho is. And Jericho gets what Hook meant, as just about everyone Jericho’s ever aligned with or teamed with, they end up in a fight with Jericho. As Jericho’s other theme, Judas, says, everyone Jericho has ever loved, he pushes them away. That is true, but there’s a reason for that. When you play the game at the highest of levels like Jericho does, the rules are different.

And once Hook understands that, then he’ll understand what Jericho is trying to teach him. Jericho isn’t asking for 100% trust right now, but he is asking for Hook to believe in him as much as Jericho believes in Hook. The fans are starting to boo, they don’t really like that. Hook says yeah, he believes in Jericho. He believes in Jericho so much, he got them a match. Saturday Night Collision, right here in Worcester, Massachusetts. The fans like the sound of that! Hook then tells Jericho, he will be keeping his eye on him. Jericho says he wouldn’t expect anything less. Hook’s learning already. They fist bump, and #LionHook is gonna give it a go! Will this be a slam dunk for The Ocho and the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil?

Shane Taylor Promotions speaks.

Lee Moriarty tells Shane himself that one surefire way to jump straight to the top in one night is you beat the golden child and the first world champion of AEW. Shane says Massachusetts has a great history of fighters, like Rocky Marciano and Marvin Haglin. Shane Taylor & Lee Moriarty are gonna add their names to that list. Saturday on Collision, all they gotta do is KO the Ocho & Hook. So tell you what? Your hands can’t hit what your eyes can’t see. And on Collision, #LionHook gets their asses beat by STP! Rumble, bad man, rumble!

Jay White VS Billy Gunn!

After The Switchblade led The Ass Boys on a little breaking ‘n’ entering at Daddy Ass’s house, the challenge was issued and the challenge was accepted! “Stepdaddy Switch” is going to be all alone against The Ass MAN, will he soon regret ever thinking he could fill Billy’s shoes?

Billy ROCKS White in return, brings him back to ground level, and then DUMPS him over the barriers. White crawls around ringside but Billy follows. Billy SMACKS White right off the LED barriers! The fans fire up and Billy even checks with the youngsters if they’re enjoying this. Billy then stalks White to another corner of the barriers, and SMACKS him off the LED again!

Billy keeps White from floundering away too far, then suplexes White, only for White to knee free! White RAMS Billy into the barriers, then hurries away! Billy frowns and stalks White, brings him up and SMACKS him off steps! Billy refreshes the ring count again, then lines up a shot! White moves, the kick hits steps! Billy hurries to get White into the ring, but White scrambles out the other side. Billy pursues, so White hurries back inside. White grabs ropes, the ref wants Billy to back off, so Billy lets go. After breaking up Bang Bang Scissor Gang the way he did?! Billy reaches out, but he grabs White’s fingers to bend them! Billy brings White around to TOSS him out! The ref is getting frustrated but Billy goes out after White again. Billy stops White from picking up a chair but now the ref has to take the chair from Billy!

Billy defends his innocence, White went for the chair first! The ref doesn’t care, puts the chair back where it should be, and Billy grabs White’s finger again. Billy bends those fingers, the ref wants this back in the ring, but Billy brings White over to SMASH the fingers on the barrier! Billy drags White up, then RAMS him into the LED! Billy puts White in the ring just to refresh the count, and then bring him to the apron to CLUB him! Dynamite returns to single picture, Billy storms his way back into the ring, and the fans rally up. White is in a corner, Billy runs in, but Billy only gets buckles! White runs up to UPPERCUT!

White RAMS into Billy again and again, then fires off forearms and haymakers! White stomps away, the ref counts, but White tells Billy to “SUCK IT!” White CLAWS Billy’s face, Billy shoves him away, but then White dropkicks the legs out! White again says ‘SUCK IT!” but he runs into a scoop and SLAM! Billy shakes out the legs, but then we see The Acclaimed just got taken out! The Gunns must’ve attacked! That was the only thing not banned in this ringside ban! Billy scoops White, but White CLAWS his eyes, and POSTS him! White puts Billy in, drags him up into the clinch, BLADE- NO, Billy slips free to hit the ONE AND ONLY!

Both men are down and the fans fire up! Billy and White slowly rise, White on wobbly legs. Billy runs up to FAMOUSER! The fans fire up with Billy as he says thumbs up, then thumbs down! Billy brings White up, kicks low, and says “SUCK IT!” Billy then hits another FAMOUSER!! White sputters but Billy and the fans agree, “One More Time!” But first, Billy goes out of the ring to fetch a chair! The fans fire up as Daddy Ass doesn’t want to win, he wants to get even! But wait, now the Gunns run out here? They don’t care about the ringside ban, they just want to protect their friend! Austin begs on White’s behalf!

The fans boo, Billy shoves Austin, but then Colten gets in the way! The distraction allows White to LOW BLOW!! But the ref still saw this, and so Billy wins!

Winner: Billy Gunn, by disqualification

The Bang Bang Gang doesn’t care about the win, either, as White wants to hurt Billy! White takes the chair from Colten, then tells the Gunns to sit Billy up. But wait! Here comes The Acclaimed! Caster & Bowens weren’t beat down as bad as the Gunns thought, and they get right in to CLOBBER ’em! Bowens fires off on Austin, Caster fires off on Colten! Then The Acclaimed get the steel steps in position nearby! The fans fire up as Bowens wants Billy to bring White over. Billy brings White over to his boys, Bowens & Caster DOUBLE- NO, the Ass Boys save White again! The Bang Bang Gang runs away into the crowd, but The Acclaimed is still all fired up! The battle for the AEW World Trios Championships is still on the horizon, who will prove themselves THE BEST trio in the world today?

The Young Bucks arrive backstage.

How fitting that it is raining as Matthew & Nicholas Jackson are here in Worcester. They brought the Rainmaker into AEW, will they be just one match away from making it reign themselves?

Best Friends also arrive.

Orange Cassidy & Trent Beretta not only have Chuck Taylor with them, but Mama Sue is here, too! Will all this moral support be more than enough to make Dynasty Freshly Squeezed?

Renee Paquette is back on stage.

And she tells Worcester that it is time to bring out a ray of sunshine. Give it up for the Babe with the Power, Willow Nightingale! The fans cheer as Willow makes her way out, Kris Statlander & Stokely Hathaway by her side. Renee brings up that last week, she won the Fatal 4 to earn her shot at Julia Hart’s TBS Championship at Dynasty. How is it feeling to have this title match coming? Willow says she is feeling mother FLUFFING great! But what she wants to know is, how is Worcester feeling? The fans cheer, they’re feeling great, too! Willow says hello to all of us at home, she hopes we all feel as great as Worcester all sounds.

But Willow really, really loves this city. For years and years, Willow was busting her butt in this town. The fans cheer that! Willow says she packed into her car, drove up and down the Merritt Parkway, many times with Kris by her side. And they would wrestler across this town at a little place calls The White Eagle. The fans really fire up hearing that name! Willow says it is clearly special to them, and is to a lot of wrestlers. Many of them have left their sweat on those mats, had great nights there. But to Willow, this is a home away from home. This is where she learned who Willow Nightingale is, figured out who she is.

And every time she questioned, “Does a girl like me belong in wrestling?” The fans cheer that yes, she does! See? This is it! Every time she wondered, “if a weird, quirky, ‘unconventional,’ chubby, curvy, freak like me belonged and I could make it, your cheers reassured me.” These applause watered Willow and made her blossom into the woman standing in front of us today. This woman who IS going to be challenging Julia at Dynasty for the TBS title! You have all made her so confident. She is so confident from their love and support, she knows she is going to be the smiling Face of TBS! The fans fire up for that!

Stokely then speaks up to say he’s gonna say something uncharacteristic. Stokely will say something special about Willow! This young lady right here had what the kids would call, “A banger.” She knocked it outta the park! Willow is something special. Week after week after week, she impresses Stokely, and she impresses the entire world! The fans cheer that! But then here comes Mercedes Mone! The fans cheer on the “C E O! C E O!” as she struts out on stage to join everyone. Mone already has a mic of her own to say, “Worcesteeeer~! Please say hello to your C E O. Now, Willow, I can’t wait to watch you tear it up with Julia at Dynasty!”

The fans continue to chant “C E O! C E O!” but Mone says whoever will be TBS Champion at Double or Nothing, Mone’s got next. Because in Vegas, money changes everything! The CEO has called her shot, but is she simply playing mind games? Will she regret putting that fuel on the fire for Willow?

AEW World Tag Team Championship Tournament Quarterfinals: The Young Bucks VS Orange Cassidy & Trent Beretta!

The EVPs have vowed to take back the tag titles, and so far, it looks like they could do it. But despite being the bosses, they still have to earn their way to the title match! Will Matthew & Nicholas bring the Superkick Party to St. Louis? Or will Dynasty end up #FreshlySqueezed?

Penta El Zero Miedo & Alex Abrahantes speak.

Hype Man Abrahantes starts by saying, “Everywhere we go, we feel it. The people are for Penta, and Penta is for the people. And what the people have been asking for is for this multi-time world champion to have gold once again.” Penta then tells Adam Copeland to stop facing outsiders for the TNT Championship, and take on an AEW Original. Next week, on Dynamite! What the people want, what the people need, is a champion that has #CeroMiedo! Tony Khan sends word, Edge VS Penta IS happening!

But also he puts it on the books that Penta will face AAA World Cruiserweight Champion, Komander, this Saturday on Collision! Will Penta go from beating one champion to beating another within the span of a week?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He stands with the table because we are set for the contract signing of the AEW World Championship match at Dynasty, April 21st. First out, the challenger, Swerve Strickland! Worcester cheers for “Whose house?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Prince Nana leads the way and does his dance as The Realest makes his entrance. And of course, THE AEW World Champion, Samoa Joe! The fans chant for “JOE! JOE! JOE!” as the King of Wrestling Television makes his entrance. Everyone is in the ring now, and Schiavone thanks them for coming. What an event Dynasty will be, with this match being for the title.

Schiavone knows both men have looked over the contract, now is time to sign on the dotted line. They each get a pen, and Joe decides to sign right away, even as the fans continue to chant, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Joe then sits back, and as Schiavone addresses Swerve, Joe tells Schiavone to shut up! Fans boo but Joe smirks as he tells Swerve, “We’re out here in front of a lot of people who seem to care about you a lot. So I thought I’d join that group and I’d give you a little bit of advice before you sign this contract.” Joe thinks Swerve is working off bad intel! Joe gets where Swerve comes from, he watched it all!

From Swerve’s career defining blood feud with Hangman Adam Page, where Swerve strung Hangman up with the chain he has draped off his shoulders. Then there was the meteoric rise to not just one but two championship opportunities. And how else could this fairytale end but with the big win and everyone happy and celebrating the new champion? But see, Swerve, that’s the bad intel he’s been working off! Joe’s about to tell this man the TRUTH! “And the truth is, singing this contract, Swerve, is doom and destruction. It is a big mistake, it is a career defining mistake to step into the ring with me right now.”

Joe will put it into terms that a rapper could fairly understand. Joe is going to beat Swerve down so bad, he’ll be mentally scarred like someone who left Diddy’s party too late. The fans go nuts hearing that one! But Swerve doesn’t flinch. Joe then tells Swerve, now that he has the right information, why not do the right thing? Joe motions to the ropes, but Swerve doesn’t budge. Swerve instead takes his mic to say before he signs the contract, he just wants Joe to know he wanted this moment all his life. Swerve dreamt about this moment because he never thought it was possible. The fans duel between “Joe is gonna kill~ you!” and “Swerve’s House!” but Swerve just smirks.

Swerve wants Joe to understand that his destiny is filled with a long, winding road of obstacles. But after Swerve arrived, that feeling is sweet. That journey took him all the way to main-eventing Dynasty! And that is exactly what they’re building here in AEW: a dynasty! With signings like Okada, Mone, Ospreay. Fans chant “MJF! MJF!” but Swerve chuckles. Now, truth be told, this title is bigger than the both of them. Swerve understands the dangers of facing Joe for it. Everything about Joe’s reign has truly been dangerous. He is the definition of a killer, but so is Swerve. April 21st, in St. Louis, AEW Dynasty, Swerve shows Joe he is every bit of that man.

Swerve says he grabs the keys to the Dynasty, and he proves that AEW is whose house? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Now run the fade on that, b*tch! Joe shoves Swerve, Swerve ROCKS Joe! The fans fire up, Swerve gets the chain out, and he CHOKES Joe! But wait, Joe just snarls and HEADBUTTS Swerve!! Now Joe has the chain, and he wraps it around his wrist! Joe aims, and STEEL CHAIN PUNCHES Swerve right down!! Nana tries to get Swerve outta there, but Joe swings at him! Nana gets back and Joe rains down steel chain punches right into Swerve’s side and head! Joe roars, storms around, and the fans are torn as he aims again!

Swerve stands, Joe JABS, JABS and JABS! Swerve’s forehead is busted open but Joe batters the chin and cheek! Refs rush in to stop this but the damage has been done! Joe storms out of the ring, Swerve sputters and crawls, but then Joe stops at the ramp. Wait, Swerve still gets the mic and a pen? Swerve laughs?! Swerve tells Joe, “I love this s*it! And if you think that’s all you got, then I’m taking your championship from you.” Swerve USES HIS BLOOD to sign the contract!! The fans tell Swerve he’s sick, and then Joe rushes right back in to KNEE Swerve low!! And then URENAGE through the table!!

Worcester loses their minds as Joe stands over Swerve! Swerve is battered and bloody, but is there a smile still on his face? Joe holds up the title over Swerve and stands right on him, is this the image that closes Dynasty? Or will nothing stop Swerve from fulfilling his destiny?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite here with a lot set up for Dynasty. I was very surprised that the matches I thought would be main event weren’t, but then they made the contract signing close and that was some awesome stuff. There’s still two weeks until Dynasty, but this alone says a lot about the math, aka Swerve is totally winning at Dynasty. Then Rosa VS Mariah was a really good main event match, but of course Rosa was winning. Storm being stunned silent was a great detail, too, and their match is going to be great stuff, with the next couple of weeks being very important to the go-home math.

Edge had a great promo to open the show, and you can of course tell it was in defense of CM Punk shooting hard in his interview with Ariel Helwani. And honestly, I do have to side with Edge on this, if only because CM Punk shouldn’t just be putting AEW on blast when he was a good part of the reason why he got himself fired in the end. Not that Punk’s points weren’t right, just that he didn’t need to do it. But to be fair to AEW, AEW really did get the ball rolling on this better state pro-wrestling has found itself. WWE was struggling creatively, AEW was an alternative in the US for wrestlers to go, and while He Who Shall Not be Named got himself in trouble, his ousting opened the way to HHHBK who do understand what makes for good pro-wrestling, so now we might be approaching a point where both companies are at their absolute best.

Really good promo segment from Willow with Mercedes Mone injecting herself into it. And while plenty of fans really like Mone, I certainly got some Heel Heat off her character constantly doing this. And this segment heavily implies Willow will beat Julia to be TBS Champion so that she and Mone can have an awesome match at Double or Nothing. On the flipside of things, Jericho and Hook had an absolutely unnecessary promo tonight. Or at least, they did the promo in a way they didn’t need to. Jericho got upset about how Hook said he knows Jericho’s scheming side? Why not address that in last week’s promo and then just let Shane Taylor Promotions call Jericho & Hook out to set up the match for Collision? Oh wait, the answer is that Jericho just has to get TV time.

Great opening match from Ospreay VS Hobbs, and great follow-up from Bryan VS Archer. Ospreay and Bryan of course won their matches so they’d both have momentum going into their match. Ospreay’s already beaten even in the Don Callis Family, I feel like he should face someone in the Blackpool Combat Club. Moxley could probably take a loss, but pretty sure Claudio will be the guy to take it instead. Then Bryan can face someone in the Don Callis Family like Kyle Fletcher or Konosuke Takeshita. If this is going to be continued “Anything you can do, I can do better,” such a trade of opponents would make sense.

Great stuff out of White VS Billy with them using the space outside the ring quite a bit. In retrospect, I should’ve known Austin & Colten would attack The Acclaimed to then be free to help White against Billy. Now, given the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Championships just got a makeover, and a really good one at that, I feel like BCG doesn’t need to win the AEW Trios titles off Acclaimed, they just need to defend those belts. In fact, more champions of ROH just need to actually show up on ROH TV. There hasn’t even been word for a trios title match for Supercard of Honor this Friday, so clearly Tony Khan still struggles spinning all the plates, but let’s hope that also changes soon.

And great stuff with the first semifinal of the AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament. I figured The Bucks would win but cheating it out like that was perfect for also setting up what I was sensing for Trent. Trent turning on Cassidy was so well done, especially with Mama Sue there to be shocked by her son. I’m really hoping the next part of my prediction comes true and Trent sides with The Elite since he’s a friend of Okada’s via Chaos. Okada’s already got a midcard title in the Continental Championship, but it’d be so fitting if Trent stands in Cassidy’s way of the International Championship, Cassidy’s favorite belt of all.

My Score: 8.9/10

Ricochet flops over, Ospreay hauls him up! But Ricochet grabs at the ref! Ospreay kicks Ricochet’s arm away, but then Ricochet RAMS Ospreay into the ref! The fans boo but then Ricochet hurries to HOOK KICK! And VERTI- NO, Ospreay slips free to underhook! STORM BREAKER! Cover, but the ref is down!

The fans count, Ospreay would’ve won twice over! Ospreay calls to the ref, the ref sputters around, and Ospreay goes up. But then Ricochet kicks the ref into ropes! Ospreay gets tripped up and the fans boo more! Ospreay is confused as to what happened, but SPIRIT GUN hits the mark!! Cover, RICOCHET WINS!

Winner: Ricochet, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Ospreay earns 0)

The One & Only got away with murder, but there’s nothing that can be done now! Ricochet has NINE points, will he be headed to Worlds End?

Adam Cole heads to the ring!

The fans cheer as the Panama City Playboy returns to the Hammerstein Ballroom, and yes, they join in for the “BOOM~!” and the “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY~!” Cole grabs a mic, but he keeps his eyes on the ramp. That’s because we all know who’s next. MJF makes his entrance, but with a handful of security guards in front of him first. And not even AEW security, that’s his own personal security. MJF grabs a mic and has them cut his music. The fans boo but MJF tells them, “If I wanted your help, I’d ask for it. Sit down and shut up.” The fans tell MJF to STFU, but MJF shrugs that off.

MJF tells Cole that MJF is frustrated. It’s because for the past few months, MJF has had to listen to Cole say MJF is Cole’s biggest enemy! If memory serves, and MJF’s memory always does because unlike the fans here, he isn’t a complete moron… Didn’t Cole turn on MJF? But then does Cole realize he has bigger enemies out there? Like spray tan, cracks in the floor, gusts of win, and maybe… a cavity. Because last MJF heard, Cole’s dentist isn’t seeing him anymore. Cole was already staring daggers into MJF, but now he’s pissed. MJF has Cole calm down, and he tells the fans to shut up so he can shoot straight.

When MJF was the longest-reigning and greatest AEW World Champion of all time, Cole was nothing more than MJF’s cute little sidekick. That ate Cole up inside. Cole wanted to be MJF. Cole wanted #TripleB. But the sad truth is, Cole had many opportunities to win the title before MJF got anywhere near it. It’s almost like when it comes to Cole being elite enough to become world champion, just like his “s*itty little ankle,” Cole blows it. MJF laughs at his own joke, and then tells the fans he is talking, it is not that complicated. But this is why MJF doesn’t buy the hogwash that Cole turned on MJF because MJF would turn on Cole first.

Cole turned because he, like all these shmucks, is jealous of MJF. And who can blame Cole? MJF is rich, handsome, funny, entertaining, and then look at Cole. For crying out loud, Cole used to be ADAM COLE BAYBAY. Now, he’s just a crack baby! Cole asks if MJF is done. Was that the last line? Because it felt like MJF practiced that for two weeks in front of a mirror. But MJF killed it, really. Cole could come back with childish comments to hurt MJF’s feelings, but he won’t. Cole could mention MJF has had two surgeries on that fake head of hair of his while only in his 20s, which is hilarious, but he won’t.

Cole could talk about how MJF pulled some strings to get his girlfriend hired, like the real politician he is, but Cole won’t go there. Cole could talk about how every single time MJF enters a room, everyone waits for him to leave because he is loud, obnoxious and annoying as hell. But Cole won’t go there. Because Cole is not like MJF. They are nothing alike. That is why the friendship was ruined. Because, MJF, the truth is you say Cole is a failure, but in virtually every wrestling company Cole has worked for, he is the longest-reigning champion in so many!

In this very building, Cole bled BUCKETS against Kyle O’Reilly, wanting to prove he was one of the best in the world, and that is exactly what he did! Does Cole have regrets? Sure. Are there things Cole wishes he could take back? Absolutely. But Cole does NOT regret turning on MJF. The only reason it drives MJF insane is because Cole beat MJF to it. That’s MJF 101: Get close to someone, then turn on them. It’s what MJF does. Cole just did it better than MJF, and MJF knows it.

But Cole has been thinking, trying to understand what’s going on in MJF’s head, and he finally figured it out. MJF is terrified of having anyone close to him, because he feels it is a weakness. That hit a chord? Because not only does MJF act like a child, he thinks like a child! MJF knows in his heart that he was going to be the one to turn on Cole first! DAMN RIGHT HE WAS!!! MJF realizes he let the cat out of the bag. MJF says congrats, Cole, he solved the mystery! A regular Scooby-Doo! Great job, Adam.

But you want the truth? Here it is. The fact of the matter is, last year at Worlds End, MJF had every intention on stabbing Cole in the back that night. Cole just got lucky. When #BetterThanYouBaybay started, MJF didn’t give a damn about Cole. Cole was nothing more than a pawn. But MJF will admit, he did eventually start to care. For the first time in MJF’s life, he cared about someone else. Fans mockingly go, “Aww…” But MJF says that is just when Cole became a liability. And since Cole’s “a fragile little freak,” him jumping off that ramp and exploding his ankle made him a distraction!

Distractions, liabilities, emotions, there are no room for those when all you should be concerned with is maintaining the world championship! But Cole doesn’t get it, does he? Last year was a fluke. Cole ain’t the Devil, he just beat the Devil to it. But this year, Worlds End, December 28th, the same show where Cole tried to end MJF’s world, MJF ENDS Cole!! MJF throws down the mic and the fans are torn. Cole smirks and says MJF ends things then? Well, how about Cole ends this? COLE DECKS MJF! The guards rush in, but Cole fights them off! MJF sends more but Cole SUPERKICSK! And SUPERKICKS! And SUPERKICKS!

But then MJF LOW BLOWS Cole! MJF tells the fans to shut up! MJF takes out the Dynamite Diamond Ring! But then The Kingdom rushes out here! MJF runs away from Matt Taven & Mike Bennett, but he vows this ends at Worlds End. We have one week left, is that the last week Cole has in AEW? Or will MJF finally lose the one thing he has left in that diamond ring?

Backstage interview with Kris Statlander.

Lexy Nair is with the #BornAgainKristen and brings up her trying to make amends with Willow Nightingale last night, as well as making the save when Harley Cameron & Penelope Ford were beating Willow up. Kris says what she and Willow have to discuss is between them. But as far as her and Penelope go, they’ve got a lot of history, and if Ford wants a fight, Kris will give her a fight. Then speaking of history, Kris still has her eyes set on the TBS Championship, can she tells us more on that?

Kris says she looked back on 2024 and she had a downward spiral that started with losing that title. Maybe if she wins it back, Kris will right her wrongs. On that note, Mercedes Mone, you don’t have an opponent for Worlds End so here Kris is. Let her know when you’re ready for round two. Kris heads out, will she prove to everyone that she is still the Galaxy’s Greatest?

Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy.

AEW returns and Lexy is now with Freshly Squeezed. In exactly one week, he will compete against three other men for the AEW World Championship. There are a lot of combustible elements at play, and Cassidy says yeah, we saw that on Dynamite. Jay White, Hangman Page and Cassidy can’t exactly have a conversation. So really, Cassidy wants them to listen. “Between now and Worlds End, Jon Moxley can run and hide. He can hide behind his goons, he can run away in a pickup truck. But when that bell rings in seven days, he has nowhere to go. He will be in the ring with us. Us three. And you both know that we need to remove Jon Moxley from the equation.

“We can. We’ve done it. And after that, us three, we can fight for the AEW World Championship and one of us will become the AEW World Champion. Just something to think about. See you guys on Dynamite.” Cassidy is ready to remove the Maniac from the throne, but will the Switchblade and Cowboy listen to reason?

Kris Statlander VS Penelope Ford!

As Kris just said, she’s calling out The CEO in hopes of one more TBS Championship match. But will the Superbad Girl be more like the Grinch for Kris this Christmas?

The bell rings and the fans rally as Kris circles with Ford. They tie up, Kris powers Ford to a corner, then throws Ford back into the corner! The ref counts, Kris lets off, but Ford shoves her! Kris ROCKS Ford, TOSSES her, then runs up on her. Kris whips, drops down, then hurdles over. Kris CLOBBERS Ford and the fans fire up as she flexes. Kris drags Ford up, reels her in, and suplexes, and she holds Ford up! The fans cheer and Kris goes all the way to TEN, but Ford slips into a SLEEPER! Kris pries the hold open and she brings Ford around for another suplex! The fans fire up as Kris holds Ford up for five before the SLAM! Cover, TWO!

Kris drags Ford up, whips her to the corner, but Ford goes up, only for Kris to Electric Chair Lift! Kris climbs, Ford fights with fists, and she shoves Kris down! Ford steadies herself, then hits a FLYING BLOCKBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Ford is frustrated but she storms up on Kris. Ford bumps Kris off buckles but the fans rally behind Kris. Ford stomps a mudhole, but she lets off as the ref counts. Kris goes to the apron, but Ford jumps up to drop KNEES on her! The fans boo but Ford soaks up the heat, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Ford brings Kris around to THROW her into railing! Ford soaks up more heat, then drags Kris up and RAMS her into the apron! Ford refreshes the count, then stalks Kris around the way. Ford whips Kris into the steel steps! Kris falls over in a heap but Ford drags her up into the ring. Ford covers, TWO! Kris stays in this but Ford kicks her around. Ford CHOKES Kris on the ropes, thrashes around, but lets off as the ref counts. Ford drags Kris up and whips her to ropes, then LARIATS as Collision goes to break.

Christmas Collision returns and Ford CHOKES Kris on the ropes again! The ref counts, Ford lets off and Kris sputters to the apron. Ford runs and goes up, up, and KNEE DROPS on only apron! Kris then SHOTGUNS Ford off the apron! The fans fire up and Kris brings Ford up, to THROW into railing! Kris puts Ford in the ring, the fans fire up, but Ford kicks low. Ford reels Kris in, but Kris suplexes, FISHERMAN BUSTER! Cover, TWO! Ford flounders to a corner but Kris has the fans rallying behind her. Kris runs up to UPPERCUT! Kris goes side to side but Ford dodges the knee! Ford hits a FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO!

Ford wasn’t quite perfect there but she watches Kris go to a corner. Ford runs corner to corner, handsprings, but Kris catches her! The fans fire up as Kris GERMAN SUPELXES, but Ford lands out! but Kris goes Matrix to dodge! So does Ford! STUNNER! Ford runs, Kris does her best to follow, but Ford hops up for a POISON-RANA! Cover, TWO!! Kris survives and the fans fire up! Ford is beside herself, but she drags Kris to a drop zone. Ford goes up top, and MOONSAULTS BUT FLOPS as Kris moves! Kris hurries to deadlift GERMAN SUPLEX! And then GERMAN SUPLEX again! The fans fire up as Kris scoops to tuck Ford in! STATURDAY NIGHT FEVER! Cover, Kris wins!

Winner: Kris Statlander, by pinfall

Ford gave Kris quite the fight, but Kris came out on top! Wait, here comes Mone! Kris did call the CEO out, so Santa Mone says, “Ho, ho, ho ho ho! New York Citaaaay~! Please say hello to your C E O! Kris, after the year I’ve been having, I was planning on taking Worlds End off. I was planning on going to the Ritz in Boston.” The fans boo Boston, but Mone says since it’s the holidays, Mone feels like being nice. She already beat Kris once anyway, so she’ll just beat her twice! At Worlds End, you see that money changes everything, because Mone is the greatest TBS Champion of all time!

The challenge has been accepted, and Mone is looking to be busy before the New Year. Will Kris make her regret it?

Big Boom AJ & Big Justice return to the ring.

They’re getting Christmas Collision ready to bring the BOOM, but out comes Chris Jericho, who is still ROH World Champion after overcoming Matt Cardona last night at Final Battle. And he has Bryan Keith & “Big Bill” Morrissey with him as he asks if AJ has a permit for being here tonight. Did they talk with Mayor DeBlasio? Because they certainly didn’t run this past Jericho. Do they know who he is? Big Justice says yeah, he knows! “You’re a JACKASS!” Jericho is taken aback, but the fans agree with Justice. The Bad Apple says this is why dumbass kids should be sitting and not heard. Jericho says yeah!

And if being a jackass means he’s the King of New York, then Jericho’s the biggest jackass! And besides, Jericho talks for everyone here saying we do not want AJ & Justice here! The fans boo, they disagree with Jericho. But Jericho says they don’t even have Costcos in New York! New Yorkers shop at bodegas. Fans are torn, because they kind of agree. Jericho says his favorite is the Walgreens a few blocks over in Flushing. And speaking of Flushing, that’s where AJ & Justice belong: in the toilet! This is the Hammerstein Ballroom, the House that Jericho built! The fans boo that, it’s the House that Hardcore built.

But Jericho says there’s no time for goofy gimmicks like BOOM~, or bandit masks, or scissoring! Scissor me, Bad Apple~! But then wait! The Acclaimed is here! Well, Anthony Bowens is, at least. Bowens pushes past The Learning Tree and he joins AJ & Justice in the ring. Bowens has the music cut, and he tells Jericho that he doesn’t get why Scissor King is catching strays, but you caught his attention. Jericho is trying to intimidate a man in a walking boot and an 11 year old child while spouting nonsense about being the King of New York. Why doesn’t Jericho do what he has asked so many others in the past: SHUT THE HELL UP!

The fans cheer but Big Bill says, “As the Learning Tree always says, when a man tries to silence another man, he’s probably afraid of the truth.” The fans do cheer Big Bill because he is from New York. Bowens says he has no idea what that means, Bill. But he does know we’re live on TNT, Christmas Collision, Hammerstein Ballroom, New York City! So Chris, why not walk your ass to this ring and get it whipped by the Scissor King?! Jericho says if Bowens wants him to do that, then not tonight. Jericho waves bye, but AJ says hold on, listen up. We know Jericho is running scared, but we know at some point, Bowens will get to bring the-

Bowens stops the Boom? Because he wants to scissor! AJ says okay, and they SCISSOR BOOM~! But is that true? Will Anthony Bowens be the one to tear down the Learning Tree and be a champion?

Backstage interview with The Vendetta.

Lexy is now with Deonna Purrazzo & Taya Valkyrie, and they’ve got a hot streak going. Deonna’s message  last week was ominous, but who was it for? Taya says there are so many options. Everyone deserves a slice of The Vendetta. There’s Mercedes, Mariah, Toni Storm, even Lexy could get some, so watch your back. Speaking of Toni, she stumbles in and apologizes for interrupting. She just wants to say hi to everyone, hello. Oh, Deonna, a pleasure. Deonna says she knows who Toni is. R-Really? So cool! Taya says she’ll make a guess: Toni has a tattoo on her leg, a little duck with a knife through it.

Wow, how’d Taya know? Deonna says no no no, she is not doing this again. She does not get what sick crap Toni’s up to, but she is already done with it. So for Dynamite’s Miracle on 34th Street, Toni VS Taya! Taya says she’ll make Toni forget everything! Toni nervously thanks The Vendetta, and says this is a big opportunity to face someone like Taya. Toni leaves, Deonna and Taya sigh, and Lexy has no idea what to say. Is Toni’s mind unraveling before our eyes? Or is there still a bit of Timeless inside Toni Time?

AEW Continental Classic, Blue League: Shelton Benjamin VS Daniel Garcia!

This showdown was inevitable, but it’s even more fitting after The Standard of Excellence beat up the TNT Champion just because he stood up to the Hurt Syndicate. Will Shelton continue to bring the pain? Or will he not survive Red Death?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring!

Schiavone welcomes out the Blue League’s current points leader, Kyle Fletcher, and of course… Don Callis. But they’re not alone as the rest of the Don Callis Family makes their way out to the ring. Wait, shouldn’t Brian Cage be in New York for Final Battle…? Well anyway, Schiavone says there’s a lot of gold and- Callis takes the mic, and he says, “I have something important to say.” The fans boo and Schiavone excuses himself as Callis says the Don Callis Family are the TRUE One Percenters of professional wrestling! They prove it each and every day!

Murder Machines: The most feared tag team in the world! “Don Callis’ favorite wrestler,” Kyle Fletcher, shows every day why he is THE One Percent! He beat Will Ospreay! He beat Kazuchika Okada! And now, he’s gonna beat Daniel Garcia and win the Continental Classic! Callis hands the mic over to Kyle and Kyle says it might be true that last Saturday wasn’t the best day for Kyle, but anyone watching that match saw the clear bias from the officials in this company! The fans boo as Kyle claims there is an agenda in AEW to see the Don Callis Family NOT succeed. But it doesn’t matter, it changes nothing!

Kyle WILL be the winner of the 2024 Continental Classic. That brings Kyle to Daniel Garcia. “You wanna talk about restoring the feeling, Daniel? I couldn’t care less about your feelings! All I speak are facts! And the fact is, I am the hottest young prospect in this industry, and I will be the future of this whole place!” The fans boo more but Callis says one last thing he wants to say, is when you’re the One Percent, you’re not like the other 99! They are not like all of these fans! They are not like “the boys in the back,” like Mark Davis & Will Hobbs, “a couple of scab workers!” They’re not even in the same business, Hobbs!

And Callis has waited to get Hobbs on a PPV so that the world could watch why they call Konosuke Takeshita “The Alpha.” And Hobbs, YOU are not in the same business as Konosuke, and you find that out at Worlds End! But speaking of, here comes the Powerhouse! Will he and Dunkzilla finish things with the Don Callis Family? Or will the AEW International and ROH World TV Champions get even for last week?

Konosuke Takeshita & Brian Cage w/ Don Callis VS “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs & Mark Davis!

The teams sort out and Konosuke starts against Hobbs to give the DC fans a preview of Worlds End. Hobbs and Konosuke step up, talk trash, and then the forearms go back and forth! The fans cheer for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” and Hobbs ROCKS Konosuke! Hobbs even shouts “MEAT!” before he whips Konosuke. Konosuke ducks ‘n’ dodges but then so does Hobbs! Hobbs SPINE- NO, Konosuke flails free and Hobbs says it was that close. Konosuke says to cool off while he paces on the outside. Konosuke steps back into the ring, but he tags to Cage. The fans stay fired up for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” as Cage and Hobbs circle.

Hobbs and Cage DOUBLE LARIAT! Neither man falls, so they DOUBLE LARIAT again! And again! And again! Cage kicks low, shouts, “Who Betta Than Cage?” But then Hobbs CLOBBERS him! Hobbs even gets Konosuke to back down with a glare. Hobbs brings Cage up to fire forearms, then he tags Davis. Davis & Hobbs double whip and DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE! The fans fire up as Davis stalks Cage to a corner. Davis CHOPS Cage, and CHOPS again! And CHOPS again! Cage sputters but Davis scoops to SLAM Cage down! Then ELBOW DROP! Cover, ONE! Cage stays in this but Davis bumps him off buckles.

Cage swings, Hobbs bobs ‘n’ weaves, to then hit an EXPLODER!

The fans fire up while Hobbs crawls, hot tag to Davis! Davis fires hands on Cage, “MEAT! MEAT!” Davis DECKS Cage, then whips him to ropes. Cage reveres but Davis picks him up, BACKDROP! Davis SENTONS but onto knees! Davis writhes, Cage tags Konosuke! POWER- NO, Davis stops the knee! Davis takes a swing but Konosuke ducks that, to BLUE THUNDER BOMB!! High stack, TWO!! Davis survives and Konosuke snarls, but Rampage goes picture in picture.

Konosuke rains down fists on Davis, but lets off as the ref reprimands. Konosuke tags Cage and Cage drags Davis up. Cage ROCKS Davis, whips him into a corner, and Davis hits buckles chest first! Cage RAMS into Davis, and RAMS in again, then CHOPS! Davis staggers but Cage whips him to ropes. Davis reverses, to dosido with Cage, only for Cage to CLOBBER Davis! Cage BOOTS Davis down, covers, but Hobbs breaks it! Cage gets mad and the ref reprimands Hobbs, then Cage soaks up heat from DC. Cage stalks Davis to a corner and fires haymakers! The ref reprimands but Cage DECKS Davis! Cage soaks up more heat while he flexes.

Holiday Bash returns to single picture while Davis crawls. Cage storms over but Davis fires hands! Davis CHOPS, CHOPS, but Cage JUMP KNEES! Cage whips Davis, Davis cartwheels and swings on Cage! Cage blocks, waistlocks, but Davis switches! BIG back suplex! The fans fire up as Davis rises and reaches out! Davis crawls, as does Cage, hot tags to Hobbs and Konosuke! Hobbs LARIATS Konosuke, LARIATS again, then runs up to LARIAT in a corner! Cage runs up but he’s send into Konosuke! Hobbs SANDWEICHES the Family! Hobbs whips, Cage reverses, but Hobbs comes back to CLOBBER him! Hobbs scoops Cage for a POWERSLAM!

Cover, Davis blocks Cage, but Cage SHOVES Davis onto the cover! Cage then TOSSES Davis out, and he goes back for Hobbs. Hobbs TOSSES Cage! Hobbs grins as he has Konosuke alone. The straps come down, and Hobbs runs up, only for Konosuke to dodge!

Winners: Konosuke Takeshita & Brian Cage, by pinfall

The Alpha slam dunks on Dunkzilla, and now he has 8 days to prepare for the Powerhouse! Will Konosuke hold onto his International Championship against Hobbs? Or will taking that title be the perfect payback?

Backstage interview with Willow Nightingale.

Renee Paquette is with the Babe with the Power who is in action later tonight. But first, Renee wants to congratulate Willow to making it to the finals of the inaugural International Women’s Cup. She heads off to Tokyo very soon, how is she feeling about it? Willow is very excited. Inaugural WrestleDynasty, one step closer to the inaugural International Women’s Cup winner, and so it is mind boggling after how- Kris Statlander steps in. Kris tells Willow that there is a lot she should say, but for now, she’ll say good luck at the Tokyo Dome. #BornAgainKristen takes Willow by surprise, will Willow win tonight and have momentum going to the New Year?

Lio Rush & Action Andretti VS Myles Hawkins & Goldy!

The dysfunction in Top Flight Airlines led to The Bad Child & The Sight to See winning over Darius & Dante Martin, meaning they’re next up to face Private Party. Will this be little more than a tune-up for Lio & Action?

The teams sort out, Lio starts against Myles, but then Lio handspring kicks Goldy off the apron! Myles back suplexes but Lio lands out and then dodges! Myles falls out of the ring, Action handspring kicks him down! Lio DIVES onto Goldy! Action DIVES onto Myles! The fans fire up as Action puts Myles in fast. Lio joins Action and they mug Myles. Myles fights back with forearms and CHOPS! Myle runs, but Lio & Action split the difference. Lio spins Myles for Action to mule kick, knee lift and ROLLING ELBOW! Lio fires fast hands, then DECKS Myles! Goldy springboards but Lio & Action dodge! Lio eggs Goldy on, then he and Action split the difference again!

Action runs up, Goldy dodges, but Lio LARIATS Goldy on the other side! Myles whips Lio but Lio hits RUSH HOUR! Action torture racks Myles for a NECKBREAKER! Lio covers, Lio & Action win!

Winners: Lio Rush & Action Andretti, by pinfall

Fast win for this furious duo, but “Oh my gosh, is that Private Party?” Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy make their way out here and DC fires up! The AEW World Tag Team Champions call for “SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!” Lio & Action get their shot in the near future, but wait! Dante & Darius make their way out here? Private Party looks to the tunnels, but Lio & Action CLOBBER them from behind! Dante, Darius & Leila don’t worry about the champs, they stare Lio & Action down. Lio & Action hold up the belts, then throw them at the Martins. The refs keep this from getting any more physical, but will Lio & Action take those belts from Quen & Zay soon enough?

Backstage interview with Harley Cameron.

Renee is now with the “multifaceted” Harley and notes she’s in action against Willow Nightingale tonight. Harley says yes, she IS multifaceted. She wants us to appreciate ALL her facets! Renee says yes, but she has yet to earn a singles win in AEW. Fine, ruin her fun. But then Harley asks if some person off camera is gonna say anything or just stand there. In steps Penelope Ford, and Mrs. Superbad says yes, she was simply observing. But Ford couldn’t help but notice that she and Harley share a lot of similar… facets. Harley asks how much Ford’s cost. Uh, no, not those…

Ford meant that she hasn’t had such a good 2024, either. So from The Bad Girl to the… Harley doesn’t have a good nickname yet. Well, don’t worry about it. Ford will watch Harley’s back and Harley will watch Ford’s. Wait, is something on Harley’s back? No, Harley… Just good luck. FEEL THE WRATH OF HARLEY CAMERON! No, she was being nice to you, Harley. Right, don’t feel the wrath of Harley Cameron. There is nothing on your back, Harley, stop scratching. Wait! W-What? Nothing, sorry. But will Harley be feeling Willow’s wrath instead?

Willow Nightingale VS Harley Cameron!

The bell rings and the fans rally as the two tie up. Harley pushes but Willow digs in her heels to SHOVE Harley down. Harley comes back, she and Willow reset and tie up again. Willow puts Harley in a corner, the ref counts, and Willow lets off. DC duels between Willow and Harley, and Harley wants a Test of Strength. If it wasn’t clear before, this was a painful punctuation mark, Komander is mathematically ELIMINATED from the semifinals. However, Komander’s final C2 match is Dynamite’s Miracle on 34th Street against Claudio Castagnoli! Can Komander be the biggest spoiler of this entire tournament? Can Brody prove to everyone in the Gold League that the House Always Wins?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage here for Holiday Bash, though some clear redundancies from last week’s Winter is Coming edition. We got another group Don Callis Promo, and we barely got anything different from Callis and Kyle. The tag match’s only changes were Cage switching in for Archer, even though Cage is in reality defending his ROH World TV Championship in the Hammerstein Ballroom for Final Battle, and then the Callis Family wins this time so Hobbs and Konosuke can be even going towards Worlds End. Now, Konosuke could very well retain the International Championship at Worlds End because NJPW is totally open to Konosuke Takeshita VS Shingo Takagi being Winner Takes All, AEW International and NEVER Openweight titles on the line together.

Lio & Action of course won their match, but the real purpose was to get a confrontation out of them, Private Party and OG Top Flight, Darius & Dante. Good stuff, and it teases anywhere between a Triple Threat to Lio & Action VS Darius & Dante Round 2. Very good promo from Triple J to set up for something, anything really, for 2025. Fight for the Fallen can even be the start of whatever that plan is as part of the “mother of all streams.” And good stuff with the women’s division tonight. Ford & Harley makes a natural duo now given their names, and Willow and Kris could possibly reunite now that Kris is a Face again. That wouldn’t really make up for the weird fumble in the middle where Tony Khan just wanted Kris to get away from Stokely, but hey, this story itself could be really well done.

And great stuff out of Brody VS Komander, really got the drama going before the end. I mean, we all knew Komander was out of the running before tonight, and was most certainly taking the loss here, but Komander got to really show some grit. And now, five people at 6 points going into the final round, they’re really adding great drama to Gold League. Collision tomorrow and then Dynamite Miracle on 34th Street will be some great stuff, but I still think Ospreay should be one of the semifinalists, the second spot can be whoever they want.

My Score: 8.8/10
