Swerve Strickland is here!

The fans fire up as the AEW World Champion and Prince Nana make their way down to the ring. Nana gets a mic for Swerve, and Swerve asks Des Moines, Iowa if they’re ready for Dynamite tonight. Better yet, are they ready for Forbidden Door in a couple weeks? The fans cheer and Swerve says they should be. Because in one corner, it is The Billy Goat, the International Champion, Will Ospreay! And in the other, THE AEW World Champion, The Mogul, the history maker, Whose House? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” And it is for Swerve’s AEW World Championship. Two absolute bona fide stars, the best of this generation, collide for the gold. Two absolute killers-

Well. More like  one killer, because Swerve told Ospreay about 10 years ago that once Ospreay develops that killer instinct, there’s nobody in this industry that can stop him. That has been true. Let’s go back to Forbidden Door last year. Ospreay VS Omega, and Swerve saw a killer, an assassin, get the job done. Fast forward to Revolution 2024, Ospreay VS Takeshita, and again, the Assassin got the job done. Then Dynasty in April, Ospreay VS Danielson, The Assassin got the job done. Double or Nothing? Hmm, not quite. Didn’t really see The Assassin. Because when it comes to Swerve, he is not a target you want to hesitate on.

Swerve got the nickname “Killshot” for a reason. If you don’t pull the trigger, she sure as hell will. But that doesn’t mean Swerve doesn’t respect Ospreay. No, no, Ospreay is International Champion, defending night in, night out. Hell, he’s defending it tonight, against Rey Fenix! That’s a fighting champion, unlike some EVPs that have yet to defend those belts ever since winning them. But then someone comes out here to stop Swerve. It’s Kazuchika Okada! The Rainmaker tells Swerve to stop as he, said EVPs, and The Scapegoat all walk out on stage. And Okada mockingly asks, “Whose house?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!”

Okada says no, it’s his house, B*TCH! Nicholas tells Okada to relax, and he apologizes to Swerve. Okada gets very defensive of his friends. But The Elite is here to address some business that Swerve is part of, but that’s in a minute. Nick wants to talk about how DOMINANT The Elite has been! They took out Kenny Omega! They broke Eddie Kingston’s leg! And at Anarchy in the Arena, they DESTROYED “Team AEW!” Half this roster is gone because of THEM! And it feels pretty damn good. All the trolls and the bots online doubt them. Even the wrestlers in the back don’t think they’re violent enough!

WELL GUESS WHAT! The EVPs challenge AEW’s best in the most violent match in AEW: BLOOD & GUTS!! And Matthew says this is where Swerve comes into the picture. The Elite step to the ring, and they tell him that they don’t exactly love what he’s said about them, and admittedly, they didn’t get off on the right foot. But The Elite digs Swerve, they dig his style, he is cool. Swerve is young and a champion, just like all of them. So The Elite is here to ask him a question: Does he wanna stand side-by-side with winners? Side-by-side with champions? Matt wants to ask if Swerve wants to #ChangeTheWorld.

Swerve, traditionally, Blood & Guts is 5v5, and there’s only four of The Elite. So will he be their fifth man? The fans say no but Matt says to make it official, he’s always wanted to see Swerve in their sneakers. Matt offers his own pair of Young Bucks Reeboks to Swerve. Swerve says first off, he doesn’t wear size nines. Second, pear necklaces? Matt, no one wears those anymore. Third of all, he’s a businessman, he does his own stuff. Fourth of all, he’s also a philanthropist, so Nana, if you would. Nana TOSSES the Reeboks to the crowd! Free size nines for someone! The fans cheer the charity but Matt has The Elite calm down.

But see? What’s that buzzing around? Oh, it’s an injury bug. And it just landed on the champ! The Elite and Swerve all get ready to fight, but here comes THE ACCLAIMED! Max Caster, Anthony Bowens & Billy Gunn look just as ready to fight! The Elite bails out, and then Christopher Daniels hurries out here, too! The Fallen Angel turned Interim EVP says normally, he’d let a brawl like this go on all night long, but tonight is a full show of wrestling! Tonight, there’s TWO big title matches, and our opening contest is a qualifier for the TNT Championship Ladder Match! That means everyone out of that ring and to the back right this minute!

Well, except for Jack Perry. Because he’s having his match right now, against this man! DUSTIN RHODES! The fans cheer as The Scapegoat no longer has all the time in the world to prepare! Will it only be natural that Dustin Rhodes makes Jack Perry choke on that silver spoon of his?

AEW TNT Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Dustin Rhodes VS Jack Perry!

The ref counts, Jack lets off, and then mocks Kenny Omega with the finger gun! BANG and Jack runs, into a SNAP POWERSLAM! The fans fire up as Dustin finally gets back at Jack! The fans rally up, Dustin slowly sits up, and Jack follows. Jack stands but into an UPPERCUT! Jack ROCKS Dustin, but Dustin eggs him on! The fans fire up and Jack fires forearm after forearm! Dustin kick slow, RHODES UPPERCUTS, then runs to BOOT!

The fans count along and Dustin goes all the way to TEN! Dustin lets off, flips Jack off, then puts the legs in the ropes! Jack’s wide open and the ref reprimands. Dustin says fine, he’ll get the chair! The ref says no, no chair! The ref takes the chair away, and Dustin hits SHATTERED DREAMS! The fans cheer, and Dustin gets Jack in the dragon sleeper. Jack snapmares free, but Dustin blocks the superkick! Dustin spins Jack to JAB! JAB! JAB! And then flip, flop, fly and dirty bird! BIONIC ELBOW!

The fans fire up as Dustin gets Jack up and in, for the CROSS RHODES! Cover, TWO!!! Jack survives and Dustin is beside himself! Dustin pounds the mat, the fans rally up, and Dustin rises up! Dustin gets fired up, and he brings Jack up and in. Dustin suplexes, but Jack wrenches out to KNEE low! Jack RAMS Dustin into the bare buckle! Dustin goes down, Jack pushes him out and heads for the bare concrete! DDT on the cement!! Jack leaves Dustin behind, letting the count handle this. The fans boo but the count climbs while Dustin is down. Dustin reaches out at 4 of 10, sits up slowly at 5, and then flounders at 7.

The fans rally as hard as they can, and Dustin stands at 9! Dustin slides in at 9.9 and Jack is stunned! But then Jack laughs at Dustin still trying to get up. The fans rally for Dustin as he drags himself up with the ropes. Dustin pushes the ref aside to run up on Jack, but Jack LOW BLOWS Dustin!! Payback behind the ref’s back, and Jack paints himself with Dustin’s blood. Jack then lines up the shot, “We all have to sacrifice, Dustin.” Dustin flips Jack off! Jack KNEES Dustin down!! Cover, Jack wins!

Winner: Jack Perry, by pinfall (advances to Forbidden Door)

The Scapegoat just made Dustin the sacrifice needed for him to qualify. Jack gives a smile as he looks at the TNT Championship, will he be the final piece to a new Golden Elite?

Backstage interview with Rey Fenix.

Renee Paquette is now with The Immortal Firebird ahead of his main event match, where he has the opportunity to become a two-time International Champion. His first run was cut short due to injury, but he has been an AEW World Tag Team and AEW World Trios Champion, as well as champion all around the world. Earlier, he told Renee that of course he knows just how good Ospreay is, but Fenix is one of one. Then will that one of one become the two-time two-time International Champion? Or will the Firebird be taken down by an Ospreay?

Christopher Daniels speaks.

“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m back. And I’ve got some news regarding The Elite. Now Matthew & Nicholas Jackson, Kazuchika Okada, next week, Tony Khan has decided that you will wrestle in Eliminator matches. Matches where if your opponents win, they will earn title shots for the World Tag Team Championships and Continental Championship respectively. Now Okada, you’re used to having all seconds barred from ringside, but Matthew, Nicholas… Tony Khan has decided that your match next week will have all seconds barred from ringside! NO outside interference! And we’ll get a chance to see how elite you really are.”

The Fallen Angel lays down the law on behalf of TK, but then who will get themselves some golden opportunities at The Elite’s treasure?

AEW hears from Stephanie Vaquer.

La Primera says, “Mercedes, I will give you props. You are one of the best. And now, you are coming for the title that was ‘supposed to be yours?’ Hmm. Your arrogance is just plain offensive. I work hard every day, all over the world, instead of just sitting around and walking on red carpets. This belt is mine, and it’s not going anywhere. At Forbidden Door, Stephanie Vaquer is going to become the first-ever NJPW Strong AND TBS Double Champion. Because I am La Primera.” To be the best, you gotta beat the best, so will Vaquer prove she’s truly THE best when she dethrones The CEO?

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone VS Zeuxis!

Well speaking of The CEO, she’s now in action against Vaquer’s CMLL Women’s Tag Team Championship partner, the very title Vaquer wants being on the line! Will Mone prove she’s not just a fighting champion, but that she’s got what it takes to stay champion? Or will La Diosa Guerrera use her Puerto Rican Power to make her and Vaquer into a Two Woman Power Trip?

The introductions are made, the TBS title is raised, and we see who will walk through The Forbidden Door!

The fans boo but Zeuxis soaks it up as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref checks Mone and she’s okay to continue, so Zeuxis drags her up. Zeuxis puts Mone in the ring, then CHOKES her on ropes! The ref counts, Zeuxis lets off, and she argues with the ref. Zeuxis then drags Mone up, whips her corner to corner, and runs in to UPPERCUT! Mone sits down, Zeuxis swaggers back to the far side, and then runs in to METEORA! Cover, TWO! Mone’s tougher than that and Zeuxis grows frustrated. Zeuxis drags Mone back, hooks up the legs, and then pulls on the arms! Right up into the ROMERO SPECIAL! Mone endures, so Zeuxis drops her, but keeps the legs hooked. Mone turns things over and goes for Zeuxis’s arms!

Mone pulls, pulls and pulls into the ROMERO SPECIAL! Zeuxis endures, Mone drops her hard, and is finally free of the leg hook. Mone storms up, drags Zeuxis up, but Zeuxis ROCKS her! Zeuxis TOSSES Mone by her hair, then soaks up more heat. Zeuxis goes over to Mone, drags her around, and clamps on a CAMEL CLUTCH! Zeuxis makes Mone smile with fishhooks, but lets off as the ref reprimands. Zeuxis then ties up Mone’s legs and pulls her into the BOW ‘N’ ARROW! Dynamite returns to single picture as Mone endures being bent back! Mone manages to pop free and cover, TWO! Zeuxis and Mone both rise, and Mone blocks a kick!

Mone KNEES Zeuxis, runs, but into a fireman’s carry! POP-UP POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO!! Mone survives and Zeuxis is seething! Zeuxis vows to end this, and she drags Mone up. Zeuxis fireman’s carries, but Mone turns pop-up into RANA! Cover, TWO!! Zeuxis escapes, and she RAMS Mone into a corner! Zeuxis RAMS in again and again, then SLAPS Mone! The fans boo but Mone BOOTS Zeuxis back! Mone goes up, leaps, sunset flip, but Zeuxis rolls through! POINT-BLANK METEORA! Cover, TWO! Mone survives again and Zeuxis scowls. Mone brings Zeuxis up to snap suplex, and that’s Una Amiga! Then another for Dos Amigas! Zeuxis blocks the third, wrenches and reels Mone in, underhooks for a TIGER LUNG BLOWER!! Cover, TWO?!?! Mone survives and Zeuxis is beside herself! “This is Awesome!” as Zeuxis climbs up, MOONSAULT FLOPS as Mone moves! Mone runs, rolls, slips around, and Gory Especials for the MONE MAKER!! Cover, Mone wins!

Winner: Mercedes Mone, by pinfall (still AEW TBS Champion)

The CEO got more than she bargained for out of Zeuxis, but nothing she couldn’t handle! Will Mone make sure that she not only holds onto this gold, but adds the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship to the collection?

AEW hears from Mina Shirakawa.

The Fighting Gravure Idol says, “AEW, you love me~!” Mariah May helps read the résumé: a FIVE-TIME Stardom Champion; singles, tags, trios, she’s done them all! Mariah always knew Mina was special, and that America would fall in love with her. Mina says she used to be a model, but wanted to put on a big show. Her entrance is colorful, exciting, energetic, and of course, sexy! Mina & Mariah founded Stardom’s Club Venus, won the tag titles together, and Mina has always been like a big sister. They love wrestling and being together.

Mariah assures us, when that switch flips, she goes from “kawaii Mina-chan” to one of the most dangerous women Mariah’s ever seen. And that’s why Mariah’s glad they’re friends. Mina says she’s come to America and AEW to take over! She wants all the matches, all the gold! You want Mina? She wants everything~!

Cut to Mariah by Toni Storm’s side.

The protege snuggles up with her mentor, The AEW Women’s World Champion, and we also have Luther and Renee Paquette. Renee says we just saw the video package from Mina, and while Mina is a very credible opponent, she is also very… close with Mariah. Toni says that was hardly a video worth watching. Mariah thanks “Miss Storm” for getting her into the Women’s Owen Hart Cup, she will not let Storm down. Storm knows. And secondly, Mariah is happy that Mina is coming back next week! Sigh. And? She wants to do a contract signing with Storm, face to face. Storm scowls but Mariah says she will host it to keep everyone on the same page.

Renee says before that, Storm does have a match on Rampage against Alex Windsor. Oh what a tangled web we weave when everyone wants a shot at the “wide load that holds the gold!” Nevertheless, Storm’s chin is lifted, her tits have persevered, and you ALWAYS watch for the shoe! Come, Mariah, time for a waxing. They head out, Luther shrugs and follows. Will the Leading Lady use “Iron Will Windsor” as a mere warm-up for the real attraction? Will Mina behave herself when she and Storm are face to face next Wednesday night?

“Big Bill” Morrissey is in the ring.

“The Redwood” welcomes us all to TV Time with The Learning Tree, Chris Jericho. “If there is one thing that Chris has taught me, it’s that it’s never too late to start learning, and it’s never too early to start winning. Am I right? This guy knows what I’m talking about!” With that in mind, here he is! The Socrates of Pro-Wrestling, The Guru of Giving Back, The Michael Jordan of Michael Jordans! The Learning Tree, Chris Jericho! Jericho makes his entrance, “Bad Apple” Bryan Keith following behind as the tron now says Jericho’s been “For The World” Champion for 53 days. Jericho waves hi to everyone as he steps into the ring.

Jericho gets his own mic and says, “Hi, guys~! Hi, everybody~! Who wants more TV Time? You know I do! I also wanna says thanks to all the Branches, this new Learning Tree T-shirt just came out 15 minutes ago on Shop AEW, already one of the fastest selling shirts in AEW history. Thanks, everybody~! Who wants one? Who wants one?” The fans cheer, but Jericho doesn’t throw the shirt. Jericho also wants to add that he was eating some corn backstage at catering, and he knows it was grown right here in Des Moines, Iowa. He’s gotta say, it was a little bit ripe and here’s why, because he knows a little bit about farming.

You need to grow corn in fertile, well-trained soil with a pH level of 6 to 6.8. This corn was about a 7, and that doesn’t work for Jericho, brother. So next time, please fortify the soil with more compost if you wanna make better corn. Jericho smiles and Keith says unless you wanna grow some lame ass corn, RESPECT Chris Jericho! And speaking of respect, Jericho knows they all respect each other here. The Learning Tree respects all of his Branches in the Jericho Vortex, both out here in the arena, at home watching on TV, and the wrestlers in the back. And there are a couple youngsters who need a little advice to reach the next level.

Let’s bring ’em out right now. Everyone give it up for Marq Quen & Isiah Kasisdy, Private Party! The fans do cheer as Quen & Zay make their way out, Big Bill vibing to the theme song. Private Party steps into the ring, and Jericho says if they’re gonna do shots, make sure they have a designated driver. But also, Jericho wants to say they have been doing great work. Right, everybody? Private Party’s high-flying is off the charts, next level, and they’ve done great things. The one thing they haven’t been doing lately, though, is winning matches. The reason for that is that their basics just aren’t up to snuff. Jericho doesn’t know who trained them, but he wasn’t very good.

And since Jericho was trained by the late, great Stu Hart over 33 years ago in the Hart Dungeon in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Jericho knows a thing or two about doing the basics properly. Headlocks, running the ropes, proper takedowns. He saw them fly off the top rope, but they don’t even do that properly! It’s technically unsound, guys. Zay says well, how about he teaches them? Zay wants to see it. Quen wants to see it! And pretty sure everyone in Iowa wants to see it! In fact, Jericho is a legend, an OG. Some might even call him… The Caitlin Clark of AEW. Iowa likes that shoutout! Kevin says respect.

Jericho says yeah, he might even throw a three-pointer! He’ll show them how to climb a corner, just as the late, great Owen Hart, one of the greatest high-flyers of all time, showed him. Jericho shows you put a foot here on the bottom rope, then the second, then the very top. See? That easy. And then you stand and do a move. Makes sense? yes, thanks for this lesson. Did they learn from The Learning Tree? Yes, they did. But here’s a lesson from them! Zay TRIPS Jericho up! Jericho gets stuck on the top, Keith runs up but Quen TOSSES him! Bill’s too busy making sure people are admiring Jericho to know what’s happened!

Bill turns around, sees what happened, and then he runs up! Private Party DUMPS Bill out, then they build speed to DOUBLE DIVE! Down go Bill & Bryan! The fans fire up as Zay uses that lesson to climb, and SWANTON BOMB! Quen does the same, so he can hit a SHOOTING STAR! Bill & Bryan run back in but Private Party gets outta there! Quen & Zay just taught us that Jericho’s arrogance makes him gullible. But will the Redwood & Bad Apple make sure Quen & Zay pay for their disrespect?

The Forbidden Door has an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match set!

After Jon Moxley retained the title in a wild Lumberjack match, he dared anyone to step up to the plate. And who stepped up? Tetsuya Naito did! Moxley took the title from Naito in Chicago, so now Naito looks to return the favor in Long Island! Naito’s a big baseball fan, will he knock this one out of the park? Or will Moxley strike him out, for good?

Bullet Club Gold speaks.

Bang Bang Gang has so many title belts, they’re using them as weights for a good pump. Austin Gunn says it is the ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY of Collision, and all they keep hearing about is how badass The House of Black is. But what? Are they returning? In action? Sitting all crisscross applesauce? What do they even do?! Colten knows! Lights off. Lights on. OOOH~!! How scary~! The House of Black call themselves “the reapers of the trios division,” but three-quarters of the trios champs say otherwise. All they reap is GOLD~! Juice Robinson says ooh~, House of Black~! They want some action on Saturday night?

Then how about some action with the Bang Bang Gang? They ARE the Collision Cowboys! Collision is the House The Bang Bang Gang Built! And in Youngstown, Ohio, this town ain’t big enough for the both of ’em! The House’s asses are getting kicked! DO YOU GET IT!? Juice smacks #Cardblade, and Austin says if they’re not down with that, they’ve got two words for ya! GUNS UP! Will the Bang Bang Gang really shoot down Malakai, Brody & Buddy? Or will they all regret it in The End?

Daniel Garcia VS Nick Comoroto w/ Jacoby Watts!

The Red Death has gotten back on track as he chases down the International Championship, but he still needs more. Will he get more than enough out of the Wrecking Ball that stands before him? Or will the teachings of HE, Jacoby, finally lead Comoroto to a bright future?

The bell rings and Comoroto runs up, but Garcia dodges! Garcia fires off fists int he corner, lets off, then stomps away! The ref counts, Garcia digs his boots in, but lets off to runs side to side. BOOT WASH! The fans fire up, Jacoby is upset, and we see Will Ospreay watching this. The Aerial Assassin may have Fenix to worry about in the main event, but seems he’s keeping an eye on Garcia. Garcia goes corner to corner at Comoroto, but Comoroto scoops and trophy lifts! Garcia slips free, reels Comoroto in, and hits a SAIDO! We also see MJF watching this now, hand wrapped in an icepack. Could the Wolf of Wrestling be interested in Garcia’s future, too?

Garcia drags Comoroto up, into a GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! Comoroto flails but that grip is tight! Comoroto fades, but Garcia gives him the RED CROSS! Cover, Garcia wins!

Winner: Daniel Garcia, by pinfall

The fans are all fired up with Garcia, and he raises his fists, to do his dance! Garcia made quick work of a big opponent, but will he be going after bigger and better soon enough?

In fact, Renee walks over to Ospreay and notes Garcia’s made it very clear he wants a shot at the International Championship. In moments, Ospreay puts that title on the line against Fenix, but how is his body holding up after all these defenses against all these different wrestlers? Well, the body is fine. He’d love to stay and talk about how sick a wrestler Garcia is, but he does have to focus on Fenix. His mind is elsewhere because of Forbidden Door. So uh, he’s got a match to deliver, and a contract as well. See you soon. Ospreay heads out, will he still have his gold when he arrives in Long Island?

PAC speaks.

“What a triumphant return to the company. Loss after loss, failure after failure. I have been extorted and trodden on by every Tom, Dick & Harry going, and I’ll be honest with you… It’s humiliating. I’m supposed to be a bastard, but I feel like a bitch. But good news? The good news is, that ends now. I am done with apathy. I’m angry, I’m angry again! And I am at my very best when I’m angry. So here’s what’s gonna happen. I will be entering the Owen Hart Cup. I will be winning the Owen Hart Cup. And I will go on to claim my AEW World Championship opportunity at Wembley Stadium.

“Because I will be DAMNED if a talent of my caliber never gets his Wembley moment. And I will be DAMNED if a talent of my caliber never wins the biggest prize in this industry! This will be my redemption story. Oh, and one more thing. Bang Bang Billy Gang? Don’t you dare for one second think that Death Triangle has forgotten what you did to us. We don’t forget.” The Bastard’s sinister smile surely means bad things for all who stand in his way. Will Pac take the Cup to then go All In on the world title?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

They’re taking on Rocky Romero, Lio Rush and the NEW Undisputed NJPW Tag Team Champions, TMDK’s Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls! Will Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Bryan Danielson & Wheeler Yuta keep up the momentum from last week? Or will Azucar, The Bad Child & The Mighty score an early victory for NJPW?

AEW Blood & Guts 2024 is official!

While The Elite want to fight the best of the best, we still don’t know who is stepping inside the double-ring, double-cage! However, we know that it will all go down on Wednesday, July 24th, in Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena! Who will be brave enough to face Jack Perry, Kazuchika Okada & The Bucks on that brutal battlefield?

BREAKING NEWS for next week’s Dynamite!

First, The Young Bucks have had beef with The Acclaimed, so now they’ll settle this in a match! Can Max Caster & Anthony Bowens earn some golden tickets to the tag titles? And then

AEW International Championship: Will Ospreay VS Rey Fenix!

We know The Aerial Assassin is ready, we know The Immortal Firebird is ready, so all that’s left is to do the damn thing! Ospreay drops off his signed title match contract to Nana & Swerve as they sit ringside, will he still be golden stepping into The Forbidden Door? Or will Fenix lighten his luggage on the way to Long Island?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who flies high, and who crashes and burns!

The bell rings and the fans fire up as these two stare down. The fans already cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this one possible. Fenix and Ospreay step up, and the forearms start flying! The fans cheer as they go forearm for forearm, neither man backing down! They do hit harder, and Ospreay ROCKS Fenix! Then CHOPS! Then whips, but Fenix ducks ‘n’ dodges to tiger feint rewind! Ospreay ducks the heel kick, Fenix ducks the hook kick! Fenix kicks low, whips, but Ospreay handsprings! Fenix dodges to handspring, and Fenix hits a LETHAL INJECT- NO, Ospreay handstands out of the cutter!

Fenix avoids Ospreay’s Buzzsaw kick, then kips up! Both men stand off and the fans are thunderous already! Iowa cheers “Both These Guys! Both These Guys!” and Ospreay blocks Fenix’s superkick. Ospreay ROCKS Fenix again, CHOSP again, then whips again. Fenix ducks ‘n’ dodges again, then RANAS! Ospreay tumbles out of the ring and the fans fire up! Fenix goes up and up and tightrope walks, but Ospreay avoids the kick to BOOT! Fenix CHOPS! Fenix blocks a boot, puts that leg in ropes, but Ospreay just slips inside. Ospreay ROCKS Fenix, builds speed, and BOOTS Fenix down! The fans fire up and Ospreay gets that energy to build!

Ospreay aims, PLANCHAS, but Fenix slides in! Fenix BOOTS Ospreay, steps out, and FLYING RANAS! Fenix then gets Ospreay back in, to springboard FROG SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives and Fenix frowns, but the fans rally as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Fenix clamps onto Ospreay, traps an arm, and then pulls on the other. Fenix learned this one from Penta, but Ospreay fights it off! Fenix CLUBS Ospreay, drags him up, and bumps him off buckles. Fenix CHOPS, then stalks Ospreay to another corner. Ospreay ROCKS Fenix, ROCKS him again, then ROCKS him again! Fenix CHOPS back! And ROCKS Ospreay in return! Fenix fires off in the corner, then digs his boots in. The ref counts, Fenix wrenches to WRING Ospreay out, into an omoplata, and RINGS OF SATURN! Ospreay endures, even as Fenix digs an elbow into the ribs! Ospreay fights around, but Fenix CLUBS him again and again!

Fenix drags Ospreay up to run and basement DROPKICK! Cover, ONE!! Fenix BUZZSAWS Ospreay! Ospreay writhes and Fenix fires up. Fenix goes to the far side, comes back as Ospreay stands, and CLUBS him to a corner. Fenix CHOPS, and CHOPS, and Swerve seems mildly impressed. Fenix snapmares Ospreay, traps an arm, then pulls on the other. Ospreay fights but Fenix has the double wristlock. Fenix CLUBS the arm, pulls on it, but Ospreay fights free. Ospreay ROCKS Fenix, but Fenix CHOPS Ospreay! Fenix eggs Ospreay on, so Ospreay fires another forearm. Fenix CHOPS again, and that fires Ospreay up!

Ospreay CHOPS, and CHPOS, but Fenix knees low! Fenix CLUBS and HAMMERS Ospreay, Dynamite returns to single picture, and then Fenix says “CERO! MIEDO!” Fenix whips, Ospreay reverses but Fenix tilt-o-whirls, into the IRON OCTOPUS! Ospreay endures, fights up and THROWS Fenix away! The fans fire up again as Ospreay goes to a corner. Fenix runs in, Ospreay BOOTS him away, then Ospreay goes up and out to springboard, PIP PIP CHEERIO! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Swerve is still only mildly impressed as Ospreay kips up. Ospreay drags Fenix up but Fenix fires a forearm. So Ospreay fires a flurry!

Ospreay whips, Fenix reverses, but Ospreay handsprings to NEURALIZER KICK! Ospreay hurries to cover, TWO! Fenix stays in this but Ospreay stays cool as the fans rally up. Ospreay brings Fenix around, reels him in and underhooks, but Fenix back drops free! Ospreay staggers up, Fenix runs in, but into an elbow! Ospreay goes up, Fenix somersaults to SHORYUKEN! Fenix climbs up after Ospreay, but Ospreay fires forearms in return! Fenix drops back, comes back, and JUMP SOBATS! Ospreay wobbles, Fenix goes to the apron, and then Fenix climbs up. Ospreay fires forearms in return, then ROCKS Fenix!

Ospreay HEADBUTTS Fenix, Fenix sits on the rope, but then Fenix jumps up to SUPER DUPER STEINER!! Only for Ospreay to land on his feet!! He’s done stuff like that before, but it’s still amazing every time he does! As such, Des Moines is thunderous as Ospreay dusts himself off. Ospreay runs up, dodges Fenix, and then tilt-o-whirl DDTS! But Fenix handsprings through!? Now that’s wild! Ospreay is just as stunned as the fans, but then things speed up again. Tiger feint rewind, HEEL KICK! HOOK KICK! Ospreay loads up, HIDDEN- NO, Fenix dodges! Osprey ducks a roundhouse, Fenix blocks a roundhouse, but then DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSES hit!!

Both men wobble, Fenix SOBATS! Fenix whips, Ospreay reverses, and SPANISH- NO, Fenix smothers that, only for Ospreay to lift Fenix up! AIR RAID BUSTER!! Cover, TWO!! Fenix survives that modification and the fans are thunderous again! Fenix and Ospreay slowly stir, “This is Awesome!” as Dynamite goes picture in picture again!

Ospreay waits on Fenix, then calls his shot! But Fenix falls over! Ospreay stops his jump, Fenix rolls out of the ring and to the floor. Ospreay keeps cool, letting the ring count handle this. Fenix is still down at 5 of 10, but he rises up at 7. The count is 9, but Fenix slides in at 9.5! Fenix staggers but he hasn’t given up! Ospreay eggs him on, so Fenix fires forearm after forearm! Ospreay DECKS Fenix with just one! The ref checks Fenix while Ospreay paces. Fenix is still in this so Ospreay sits him up. Ospreay gives Fenix Kawada Kicks! Both men are down and the fans are fired up again! Ospreay crawls to a cover, TWO!! “This is Awesome!” as neither man is done yet! Ospreay rises, he pulls off the elbow pad, and he takes aim from the corner. Fenix sits up, into the HIDDEN- SOMERSAULT RANA! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay stands up, into Fenix’s SUPERKICK! Ospreay goes to a corner, Fenix says “ANIMO!!” Somersault and- HIDDEN BLADE!!! Ospreay isn’t done there, he goes to the corner. Swerve actually looks intrigued as he sees Ospreay climb up. Ospreay looks over at Swerve and now Swerve stands up. Does Ospreay dare do what it looks like he’s gonna do?

Ospreay says this is HIS house! Swerve takes off the sunglasses in indignation, as Ospreay steals the KILL STOMPS!! Fenix flounders, Ospreay reloads, HIDDEN BLADE!!! Cover, Ospreay wins!!

Winner: Will Ospreay, by pinfall (still AEW International Champion)

The Aerial Assassin continues to show his arsenal is endless, and that he can even use someone else’s weapon just as masterfully! Swerve storms up to the ring, and now the champions both stare down. Ospreay smiles and offers a handshake, but Swerve says Ospreay thinks this is a game. Does Ospreay think Swerve’s playing with him? This is LIFE they’re playing with! This title changes your LIFE! Swerve’s the one standing in between Ospreay and that! Ospreay is still that immature little child Swerve met 10 years ago! Ospreay wants to keep having these matches? Then keep doing that week after week, because he can’t hold the world on his shoulders! He’s not strong enough!

But then Ospreay SNATCHES the belt right out of Swerve’s hands! The fans are going nuts as Ospreay looks at both belts, and then puts them both on his shoulders! Swerve scowls as Ospreay says it looks like he is strong enough. The fans chant “OSPREAY TWO BELTS!” Swerve steps closer, and says Ospreay’s lucky they’re still friends. Anybody else does this, he puts them in a grave. Swerve takes his title back, and Ospreay points to the Forbidden Door sign in the rafters. Will we see Ospreay Two Belts become a reality? Or will AEW still be Swerve’s House?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite here, a lot of great wrestling, but I wouldn’t say this was a full show of wrestling as Daniels said. That first hour was definitely much more wrestling than talking, but then like hitting a speedbump, there was TV Time with Chris Jericho. Now, that was probably on purpose, because that’s the gag. Jericho continues to be this obnoxious and disingenuous locker room leader that does things like a kids show host talking down to grown adults, and it’s hilarious to me. Especially put alongside Bill constantly bringing up these sayings that I doubt Jericho actually taught him, and Bryan demanding respect on Jericho’s behalf. But at the same time, of course Private Party showed Jericho up, and now we’ll get Private Party VS Bill & Bryan for like Rampage or Collision.

Great opening promo segment here, we got a LOT out of it. For one, Blood & Guts is coming back, The Elite VS some other form of Team AEW, which has at least Swerve and what looks like Acclaimed & Daddy Ass. I kinda wouldn’t mind if they just kept this at 4v4 but there’s a lot of potential for finding a fifth man for each side. And y’know what? Hangman Page needs to be in this match. Hangman has his beef with Swerve, but he might also dislike how The Bucks have handled things, so he could pull a swerve and turn on The Elite to help Team AEW. I also like that instead of the tradition of shirts, The Elite is using Reeboks as the recruiting item.

Another thing was it gave a great segue into Dustin Rhodes VS Jack Perry. Should’ve figured Dustin would bleed, and that he would lose. Jack Perry gets his shot at the title he was gonna be gifted, and depending on who else gets in on this match, there’s still a very good chance Jack wins just to rub this in everyone’s faces. Now, Daniels making Title Eliminators, Acclaimed VS Bucks, there’s a good chance The Acclaimed finds a way to win so that they’ll force a tag title match at Forbidden Door or some point along the way, but certainly before Blood & Guts in late July. And they’re probably still working on who is facing Okada, to try and make it someone who stands a chance.

Great squash win for Rush, and great brawl with MJF. I don’t know why AEW needs to make Rush “foreigner who talks trash on America” when he could just talk trash on MJF directly, but whatever, great brawl with MJF and great move giving us a commercial free grudge match next week. Great promo segment from Cassidy, O’Reilly & Briscoe, Mark Briscoe is a highly underrated promo guy because everything he said felt so natural, off the top of his head, and it had such great energy. Kyle’s face during that was basically my face, I was loving it all. Great Six Man Tag, and I suppose the Heels winning makes sense, especially with all the extra guys on the outside. And of course Kris gets her shot on Willow. Definitely gonna need a Mixed Tag/Mixed Six/something big for this story’s blowoff(s).

Great stuff from Joe & Hook just punking out The Premier Athletes, hilarious even with how Shibata had another camera and then got after Sterling. Not sure why Josh Woods hasn’t gotten involved yet but maybe they wanted to keep this from being a trios thing just yet. Good promo from Bang Bang Gang to call out The House of Black, and if not for Edge’s leg injury, I feel like he’d be leading The House in fighting Bang Bang Gang for the Unified Trios AND TNT Championships, so that one faction would have (for whatever goofy reason) TEN belts to carry around. In fact, they could’ve been the Blood & Guts match instead. But instead, I fear The House of Black is being fed to Bang Bang Gang to help build them up now that Juice is back.

Pac had a very good promo to put his comeback in perspective. Maybe Pac gets in on the TNT Championship story to be the one guy other than Jack Perry who could win. And then maybe we get Death Triangle having a feud for all those belts instead of House of Black? Hard to say, but something has to go right for Pac at some point. Very good promos from Mina, Mariah and Storm, especially with Mariah trying to be peacekeeper. Shingo Takagi having a quick message to say he’s getting in on the Men’s Owen Hart Cup is great stuff. The Rampaging Dragon is a great wrestler, has a great attitude, he’ll make the tournament a lot of fun.

Great match from Mone VS Zeuxis, both women looking great. But naturally, Mone was gonna win that so that we stay on track towards Mone VS Vaquer. Very good promo from Vaquer, and while it’s all kayfabe, I like her telling Mone is horribly arrogant to think any belt was made for her. I said before that it’d be awesome if Vaquer actually won and that angered Mone into becoming a Heel that then goes after the women’s world title. At the same time, Vaquer being a CMLL talent, she probably loses to let Mone be the one going between AEW and NJPW. As wild as it would be for Vaquer to hold four belts at one time, that’s a lot of work, so it’s more reasonable for Mone to be doing double duty and let Vaquer focus on her CMLL belts.

Garcia got quite the quick win over Comoroto, which certainly serves his story of being title worthy. Ospreay watching made all the sense in the world but MJF’s is an intriguing one. MJF is from Long Island, Garcia is from Buffalo, could there be a New York connection going? And of course Ospreay VS Fenix was an awesome main event, it wasn’t gonna be anything less, even if the title wasn’t on the line. Swerve being ringside was good for that final moment where Ospreay uses Swerve’s move just to add on to his own stuff. Great closing confrontation, and it seems Ospreay’s story is mostly that wrestlers who’ve been here just a few years more than him still look down on him on some level.

Now, I’m still thinking Ospreay will pull double duty on Forbidden Door, which could be him trying to earn that respect from Swerve by retaining one title while going for another, but it might just upset Swerve that Ospreay thinks he can win twice on one night. All the more reason Swerve will retain at Forbidden Door, but they probably won’t do that. Ospreay might end up losing the belt before Forbidden Door, proving Swerve is right that Ospreay can’t do it all. There’s a lot of variables here, and that does make it pretty fun to see how it goes.

My Score: 9/10

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!

While Pac goes down with an Achilles injury, The Death Riders will still defend their AEW World Trios Championships using some Freebird Rules! Jon Moxley steps in, will he, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta keep the reign of terror going? Or can The Opps free the trios titles from their death grip?

FTR is here!

Speaking of those titles, Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler are here after failing to win the AEW World Trios Championships, and then brutalizing The Rated R Superstar! Adam Copeland had to be stretchered out of the arena in Philadelphia on Sunday, and FTR gets booed by Springfield, Massachusetts here tonight. Cash has a mic to say, “What happened Sunday, that wasn’t an easy decision for me. And despite what you might think, it was not premeditated. Adam Copeland has been one of my best friends, he has been my mentor, for 15 YEARS, before I even really knew Dax Harwood!”

The fans boo but Cash says the more Dax talked, the more sense he made. The more sense it made, the more it pissed Cash off, because he wanted Dax to be wrong. But Cash could feel it, he could feel that he was wrong. The more he watched the moves Cope made backstage, the more he moved against FTR’s careers, the more Cash understood that Cope only cared about Cope. Cope held FTR down! He held them down to lift himself up! So in Philly, when Cash saw Dax sitting here, Cope laying here, in that moment… It just clicked. Cash knew what had to happen, and that he’d have to be the one to do it!

The fans boo more but Cash says Cope may have trained him as a young man, but that’s all Cope ever saw! That helpless kid! And Cash is not that anymore. Cope did not respect Cash as a man! And if you disrespect him, you have to pay. FTR are living legends! They will be treated as such! Dax says he knows that it is the “cool” thing to do, so you feel like you’re somebody, you feel like you’re involved. It’s cool to boo FTR when they talk, that’s “cool” in 2025. The fans didn’t reach their dreams, so now they make their own. But just let Dax say this one thing and then they can do this charade.

“Last week, I saw a sign in the crowd that said, ‘Why, FTR, Why?’ And as cliche as that is, I though to myself, ‘Well, why not?’ Instead of asking us why, you should be thanking us! You should be thanking us because we gave Adam Copeland everything he wanted. Adam Copeland was begging for relevancy in 2025 at the expense of the ABSOLUTE BEST TAG TEAM IN THIS WORLD, and we gave it to him!” The fans chant, “You Sold Out!” and Dax asks back, “How did I sell out, you idiots? I didn’t make any money off of this.” But over the last week, Dax has been wracking his brain on what to say over what he could say to the fans and be justified.

And then it clicked! Dax doesn’t care if anyone agrees with FTR! What FTR did was right. The fans boo, but Dax says even though FTR doesn’t own anyone an explanation, let’s have fun here. They’ll run down the list. For four MONTHS, they waited. Four months, nothing to do, they were irrelevant for four months. The only thing planned for them was to be Cope’s new Edgeheads. They put FTR’s career on hold so Cope could chase his glory days and win one more world title, holding on to a sliver of hope that he might still be the man. Dax tells Adam, “We’ve won ten world titles across seven worldwide brands, and YOU want us to take a backseat to you!?

“You’re selfish! Too damn selfish to see where the issue is! And I wanted nothing more, I wanted nothing more than Adam Copeland to end his career side-by-side with FTR and ride off into the sunset. But just like every wrestler in Adam Copeland’s position, you’re TOO DAMN SELFISH!” The fans boo, Dax tells them they paid money to see him so sit down and shut up. Just work out even once, buddy! Dax understands there are a lot of people in the back not happy with FTR. And that there are some people out here not happy with them. Tony Schiavone, come on over here. The fans boo, but Dax promises Schiavone that he just wants to talk.

Nigel isn’t so sure, but Schiavone says he has things he needs to say, too. The fans are torn, but Schiavone goes to the ring. Dax tells Schiavone to be careful now, don’t fall getting in. But this week on Dynamite, Schiavone had some choice words for FTR. Funny that they were hundreds of miles away at the time. But now, face to face, would Schiavone like to say something? Schiavone says yes, and he says that they were wrong to do that to Cope. The fans cheer, Schiavone points out that when FTR arrived, the fans all loved FTR. FTR revived tag team wrestling. But in one fell swoop, they turned their backs on the man who helped them in their career.

Dax stops Schiavone there, laughing that off. So there was one other thing Schiavone said, and he doesn’t quite remember. Dax is pretty sure it had to do with Dax’s family? Yes… Schiavone says Dax’s daughter, a wonderful young lady, Straight A student… How did she feel on Monday when her friends told her that her dad turned on one of his best friends? Dax paces, and then he drags Schiavone into position! The fans boo, but Nigel stands up! FTR sees that, and the fans cheer as Nigel storms off commentary! Nigel gets in the ring to get Schiavone to safety, and he also told Schiavone he knew this would happen.

FTR warns Nigel now, but here comes Daniel Garcia! He steps to them, but FTR SHOVES him down! Then they realize what they did, and they apologize. They don’t have anything against Garcia, they’re sorry. They help Garcia stand up, then they hug Garcia…? The fans boo, and Garcia has no idea what to make of this. FTR leaves, Schiavone & Nigel go back to commentary, and Garcia makes sure Schiavone is okay. The fans cheer Garcia, Schiavone says he had to say what he said. Will the Top Guys be the absolute worst from now on?

Toni Storm speaks.

“Megan Bayne is a monster. That woman has so much thigh meat, I thought I was being mugged on Thanksgiving. Nevertheless, I don’t need to tell you that this whore you all adore, this slut you can’t rebut, this tramp is still the champ! But enough of this gay banter. The Owen Hart Cup has begun, and the winner goes on to All In: Texas for a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship. Ladies, good luck. But this is a timeless cafe, and I’m gonna bake up the biggest batch of slop tarts you’ve ever seen! Billie Starkz, you Johnny Come Lately, milk-breathed, knobby kneed little brat. I will make a woman out of you.

“Harley Cameron. Call me Jim Henson, because I will wear you on my wrist and make you sing Rainbow Connection.” Schiavone? Toni says that’s the wrong slide, next! “Mercedes Money, our CEO. What an unfortunate nickname. I will drain your 401K and put you so deep into recession, you’ll have to drink my bath water. Kris Statlander. My God, what a woman! Athena. You may be the ROH Forever Champion, but you’ll last about two minutes with me. And Jamie Hayter, take my advice: No money has ever been made from dressing like you’re in a different era.

“And as for me, I could sit at home and watch this entire tournament eating veal parmesana, but that’s not the kind of woman I am, yet. Nevertheless, at Double or Nothing, I will be there, I will be watching, I will be sweating, and I will always be… TIMELESS~!” The champion has put all of her contenders on notice, but who will even make it out of the first round of this star-studded tournament?

The Death Riders speak.

Claudio Castagnoli says, “When we started this war, we fully expected casualties. But we do not mourn, because only in death does duty end. Now, we’re not gonna hide. We’re still gonna be front and center! So  Joe, yes, we’re gonna accept that challenge!” Claudio rants in German, then says at Spring Breakthru, it’s on. They do not concede territory! Marina Shafir holds up Pac’s belt, and Moxley says, “What a learning experience this will be for generational punk ass play wrestlers who don’t wanna show up to work. There’s plenty of money, championships, glory, victory, and it’s all on the frontline.

“If you want it, that’s where you gotta be. You gotta step in, step up, put yourself in harm’s way. Samoa Joe, Shibata-san, you guys know that. What’re you teaching sweet young Hook? Hook… Don’t worry. Relax. It’s the biggest match of your life. But trust me… Chicks dig scars.” Wheeler Yuta smirks, and shows his scar. Will the Death Riders find The Opps are in fact lacking?

Lexy Nair finds Cash & Dax on their way out and asks for a moment. After what they did to Cope- Wait, 2Point0 barges in! Matt Menard & Angelo Parker excuse Lexy, and they say FTR must think they’re pretty slick. They’ve got the wool pulled over Danny’s eyes. But 2Point0 sees through the BS, and they’ll be damned if they let FTR put Garcia in the same position as Cope. FTR try to speak but Menard says no, it’s their time to talk. And I don’t need a government trademark to prove I’m the best. I’m gonna prove it to you every single week, right here! So the last question is: Who will step up to the plate next and get their ass Molly Whopped by THE Five Tool Player?!”

Mic drop from Bowens, will he use all his tools and all this momentum to hit homerun after homerun?

Security rushes in to stop this! Dax DECKS the ref!! That’s another fine right there!

The fans boo, security try to stop FTR, but FTR gets Garcia up again! BUT WAIT! The Undisputed Kingdom rush in! The paragons of wrestling will not let this injustice continue! They run FTR off, but FTR says they should watch their backs now. Who else will FTR violently disrespect as they demand we respect them?

2025 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Opening Round: Athena VS Harley Cameron!

The LONGEST REIGNING champion in ROH history, and yes that is champion bar none, male or female, is finally getting her shot at history here in AEW. She could very well become a new Double Champion should she win all the way to Double or Nothing and then All In: Texas. But she must first get past one wild Aussie! Will Athena #FeelTheWrath of Harley Cameron? Or will the Fallen Goddess, the Minion Overlord, the American Joshi, simply add Harley’s name to the long, long list of fallen opponents?

The bell rings and the fans rally up. Athena and Harley circle, feel things out, then tie up. Athena powers Harley to the corner, but she lets off quickly. Harley storms up, Athena shoves her back, then Athena pats Harley on the head. Athena soaks up heat, but Harley headlocks. Athena powers up and out, drops down, but Harley drop toeholds! Harley pats Athena on the head! The fans cheer and Athena says okay, that’s fair. Athena then runs up to roll Harley up, TWO! Harley trips Athena, jackknife bridges, TWO! Athena sunset flips, TWO! Harley high stacks, TWO and Athena sunset flips again, TWO! The fans fire up as the two stand off!

Harley and Athena reset, Athena applauds for Harley, then headlocks! Harley endures the grind, powers out to headlock in return, and now Athena endures. Athena powers up and out to send Harley tot he corner. Athena runs in, Harley slips out to the apron, and Harley blocks a shot to ROUNDHOUSE! Athena staggers, Harley brings her into the ropes to CLUB her! And CHOKE her! The fans fire up, the ref counts, and Harley stops at 4. Harley waistlocks, but Athena fights the lift! Athena runs to the post to HOTSHOT Harley! Then APRON BACK SUPLEX! Athena then wheelbarrows Harley to GERMAN SUPLEX to the floor!

The fans fire up and Athena smiles. The ref checks Harley, she’s okay to continue, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Athena stomps Harley, drags her up, and sends her into steel steps! Harley sputters, Athena refreshes the ring count, and she CLUBS Harley. Harley staggers away, Athena stands her up and ROCKS her! Athena CLUBS away on Harley, pushes her into the ring, and then storms up, but into a cradle! TWO!! Athena escapes, BOOTS Harley down, and scowls. Athena stalks Harley, drags her up, and KNEES her in the side! Athena stalks Harley some more, KNEES her in the side, and then has Harley in the corner. Athena RAMS into Harley, RAMS into her again, then RAMS again! Athena pushes Harley along the ropes but the ref reprimands.

Athena ROCKS Harley, but Harley ROCKS Athena! Athena brings Harley up but Harley ROCKS her again! Athena clamps on a GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! Then she suplexes high and hard! Athena kips up, fires up, and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns as Athena has Harley in a Bow ‘n’ Arrow stretch! Harley endures, pries at the facelock portion, but Athena thrashes Harley. Harley pops free to a cover, TWO! Athena knees low, whips, but Harley reverses to RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! The fans fire up, Harley brings Athena up, but Athena shoves her away. SOBAT! LEG SWEEP! Athena runs, and SUPERKICKS! Cover, TWO! Harley survives and Athena grows frustrated. Athena stalks Harley to ropes, KICKS her in the side, then brings her up to scoop and carry her! Athena puts Harley in the Tree of Woe, then KICKS! KICKS! And KICKS!

The ref counts, Athena backs off, and Athena cheers herself on. Athena runs, but Harley sits up over the sweep! Harley KICKS from upside-down, then wrenches to NECKBREAKER! The fans fire up, Harley runs up, and LARIATS! ENZIGIRI! Harley brings Athena up to BULLDOG HOTSHOT, and then Harley fires off on Athena in the ropes! The fans fire up, the ref counts, Harley shots “FEEL THE WRATH!” AX KICK! Athena falls back, Harley storms in and goes up the corner. Harley aims, leaps, CROSSBODY! Athena rolls through to scoop Harley! The fans fire up as Athena pops Harley up, but Harley fights! Harley RANAS!

Athena rises to SUPERKICK! The fans are torn, Athena springboards, but into a HAYMAKER!! Harley has Athena now, pump handle and SUPLEX! Cover, TWO!! Athena survives but Harley won’t give up! “This is Awesome!” as Harley and Athena both slowly rise. Harley fires up, brings Athena around, dragon sleeper for HER FINISHING- NO, Athena cartwheels free! Athena reels Harley in, Canadian Rack, but Harley slips free! Harley tilt-o-whirls and rolls Athena up, TWO!! Harley wrenches again, SOLE FOOD! Harley runs, but Athena pops her up, POWERBOMB! High stack, TWO, deadlift POWERBOMB!

Athena reels Harley back in, ATAXIA KNEE STRIKE!! Athena then climbs, Harley rises, O FACE!!! Cover, Athena wins!

Winner: Athena, by pinfall (advances to the next round)

Athena stays undefeated in any and all kinds of matches, and she holds up her ROH Women’s World Championship, as well as her spinner belt variant. But now she runs into Mercedes Mone, their battle set for Boston and the Dynamite edition of Spring Breakthru! Will Mone win in her hometown to head for Double or Nothing? Or will Athena derail the Money Train and be that much closer to a match in her hometown of Arlington, Texas?

Mercedes Mone speaks.

“Springfieeeeeld~! Sorry the Money Train skipped your pathetic town. But then next stop for me in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament is in my hometown of Boston. That’s right, it was a little over a year ago where I made my AEW debut in the City of Champions. It was in that very moment that I had the biggest dream of holding all the championship gold! And now the Money Train is only two stops away from All In: Texas. And Athena, you are just a speedbump on my track to success. The Forever ROH Champion, Athena, you are one of the very best of all time, and you proved that tonight against Harley Cameron.

“But you’re competing against me, Four Belts Mone, the greatest TBS Champion of all time. So this Wednesday at Dynamite, I am going to show you why Money Changes Everything. And the best woman will win, and that woman is me, darling.” Mone is ready, but will she put her money where her mouth is against the Fallen Goddess?

2025 Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Opening Round: Konosuke Takeshita VS Brody King w/ Julia Hart!

Just last night for NJPW Windy City Riot, The Alpha just went toe-to-toe with The Ace, Hiroshi Tanahashi, as part of the Ace Final Road series. And as big as that moment was, this could be even bigger! Konosuke wants to fulfill Don Callis’ prophecy of a “Proto-shita” finals at Double or Nothing, will he be one step closer to realizing that dream match? Or will the King of Death end The Alpha right here and now?

The bell rings and the fans fire up already. The two tie up, are in a deadlock, and Brody powers Konosuke to a corner. The ref counts, Brody lets off slowly, but Konosuke avoids the chop! Konosuke headlocks, Brody powers up and out, and they RAM shoulders! Neither man falls and the fans fire up! Brody swings, Konosuke dodges to come back and ROCK Brody! Brody comes back, runs through the CHOP, then RAMS Konosuke! Konosuke rebounds, ducks the lariat, and he returns again, but Brody’s CHOP knocks him down! The fans bark for Brody and he drags Konosuke up. Brody scoops, Konosuke slips free, but Brody fires elbows!

Brody switches to hit a BIG back suplex! The fans fire up, and Brody has Konosuke in a corner. Brody CHOPS and the fans fire up! The Princess of the Black Throne smiles as Brody fires forearms and CHOPS! The fans fire up more as Brody whips corner to corner. Konosuke hits buckles hard then falls in a heap! Brody huffs ‘n’ puffs, runs up, but Konosuke avoids a senton! Konosuke goes up to SECOND ROPE SENTON! The fans fire up while Brody bails out. Brody is on the apron, Konosuke storms up to ROCK him! Konosuke ROCKS Brody again, then runs, but Brody BOOTS him! Konosuke drops to his knees, Brody hauls him up and suplexes!

Konosuke lands safe on the apron and BOOTS Brody! Then he reels Brody in! Brody fights with elbows, then fireman’s carries! Konosuke fights with elbows, but Brody still APRON DEATH VALLEY DRIVERS!! Both men fall to the floor and the fans fire up! Julia also applauds while Brody rises. Brody shakes out the cobwebs, drags Konosuke up, and he puts Konosuke in the ring. The fans rally for Brody but Konosuke bails out the side. Brody barks, the fans join in, and Brody runs up, but Konosuke JUMP KNEES! Konosuke goes into the ring, builds speed, and he FLIES! Direct hit and down goes Brody! The fans lose their minds while Collision goes picture in picture!

Konosuke and Brody are both down, Julia coaches Brody while the fans rally. Konosuke stands Brody up but Brody CHOPS! Konosuke ROCKS Brody! Brody leans against the barriers, but Konosuke CHOPS him! And CHOPS! And then whips him hard into barriers! Brody slumps down and Konosuke refreshes the ring count. Julia again coaches Brody but Konosuke is back. Brody ROCKS Konosuke! Konosuke ROCKS Brody! Konosuke pushes Brody into the ring, stalks behind him, then snapmares. Konosuke clamps on a chinlock and squeezes tight. Brody endures, Julia rallies the fans, and Brody pries at the hold.

Konosuke thrashes Brody around, grinds him into the mat, but the fans continue to rally. Brody fights up, fires body shots, but Konosuke shifts his grip. Brody fights the lift with elbows, then runs, but into a mule kick! DDT! Konosuke snarls as he rises up, and now Konosuke goes up the corner! But Brody rises to CHOP first! Brody climbs up, CLUBS away on Konosuke’s back, then brings him to the very top! SUPER DUPER PLEX! Both men writhe and the fans fire up! Collision returns to single picture, Julia and the fans rally again, and a standing count is climbing. Both men are down at 5 of 10, but crawling for corners.

Konosuke drags himself up, “This is Awesome!” as Brody rises. Brody barks, the fans bark with him, and Brody runs corner to corner, CANNONBALL! Cover, TWO! Konosuke survives and Brody snarls. Brody drags Konosuke up, reels him in, but Konosuke fights the lift! Brody ROCKS Konosuke, Konosuke ROCKS Brody! The forearms go back and forth, and Brody CHOPS! Konosuke sits down, but Brody stands him back up. Konosuke fires a forearm, but Brody fires back. Konosuke fires a flurry, then winds up, and ALPHA ELBOWS! Brody stays up!? And he ROCKS Konosuke! And CHOPS him! And CHOPS! And then puts some stank on the CHOP!!

Konosuke falls to his knees again and the fans fire back up! But Konosuke is up, ALPHA ELBOW!! Brody falls, Konosuke falls on him for a cover, TWO!! Konosuke is stunned, but he drags Brody up again. The fans fire up as Konosuke reels Brody in, and Brody fights the lift! Konosuke powers through, BLUE THUNDER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!! Brody survives and Konosuke is beside himself! Konosuke shakes his head, stands back up, and he runs the ropes, LARIAT! Brody stays up!? Brody shakes his head, so Konosuke runs again, LARIAT! Brody still stays up, so Konosuke fires up and runs!

Brody SWATS the lariat to CHOP! ROLLING ELBOW! And then LARIAT! Cover, TWO?!? Konosuke survives, but Brody scoops! DANTE’S INFERNO!! Cover, TWO!?!? Konosuke survives, even Julia can’t believe it. Brody drags Konosuke up, reels him in, Canadian Rack, but Konosuke fights free! Konosuke runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Konosuke scoops?! And tucks!? BASTARD DRIVER!! But then, wheelbarrow GERMAN SUPLEX!! The fans are thunderous as Konosuke brings out his full power! Brody stands, into the LARIATOOO~!! Cover, TWO!!! Brody survives that Stan Hanson level clothesline and the fans are electric!

Brody snarls, dares Konosuke to bring it, POWER DRIVER KNEE!! Brody stays up!? POWER DRIVE KNEE, AGAIN!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Brody survives again, but Konosuke won’t stop here! BLINDSIDE POWER DRIVE!! And then another POWER DRIVE!! Cover, KONOSUKE WINS!

Winner: Konosuke Takeshita, by pinfall (advances to the next round)

From trumping The Ace to trumping a King, Konosuke is the hot hand in this tournament to be sure! The Alpha looks to the Owen Hart Cup and vows it will be his! But will he be able to overcome the #BillyGOAT, Will Ospreay? Or will the Aerial Assassin be the one going Double or Nothing?

My Thoughts:

A great, maybe even awesome episode of Collision here. Even with things being mostly obvious results, it was all top level stuff. Knight VS Fox was great stuff to help keep Knight sharp in AEW. Best of the Super Juniors starts in May, so he’s got about another month where he will still be hanging in AEW, Knight can surely get a couple more wins before going back to Japan for that tournament. Gates of Agony of course won their match, but I like that they called out the Hurt Syndicate. I feel like they won’t win the title match with them, but it’s good to see the Gates finally moving up to this level and not just languishing in ROH.

Great match from Bowens VS Blake, and a great win for Bowens. Very good promo from Bowens, I’m sure he’ll get more wins and maybe even go for a title. Well, depending on where the different midcard belts are going, Bowens might have to wait a minute, given the tease of Omega VS Okada as of late. Good promo from the Death Riders as they have adjust after Pac gets injured. At the same time, Hook should be alright from the dizziness and possible concussion, as nothing has been said further. Death Riders VS Opps for the trios titles will be great stuff, but even doing it for a themed episode doesn’t make me think Death Riders lose. It’d be nice if they did, though…

Good Heel promo from FTR, though it didn’t say much more than Dax did passive aggressively a couple weeks ago: Cope kept FTR from what FTR wanted, which glosses over how The Death Riders kinda got at them, too; and the loss at Dynasty was just the last straw. Them threatening Schiavone & Nigel was a nice touch, as was getting Garcia into the story given he teamed with them against Undisputed Kingdom. Menard & Parker stepping up for Garcia was good, and wow did Menard bleed for that match. FTR of course win, and then them brutalizing 2Point0 to bring out Undisputed Kingdom (well, I guess they’re trying Paragon, since Schiavone mentioned that) was good, too.

Dax & Cash are tag guys so they won’t bother with the TNT Championship, but I could see them taking on Roddy & Kyle one more time, then we’d get Dax & Cash VS Cole & Garcia. At least, maybe? Just something that’ll help FTR get back up and maybe go for tag titles.  Megan beating two opponents at once was a good way to step things up in her rebound from Dynasty. I wonder if she’ll keep doing that until running into some new rival. I say that as it seems we won’t be getting her and Toni Storm in a rematch.

Toni Storm had a great promo to call out all the remaining Women’s Owen Hart Cup entries, but I find it interesting that she had no quip for Kris, just a compliment. Makes me wonder if Kris is destined to win the tournament and go to All In with Toni. And of course, great stuff in all of the Owen Hart Cup matches. Jamie VS Billie was a great rematch, but I shouldn’t be surprised Jamie wins again. Jamie VS Kris will be great stuff to lead into Double or Nothing. Then, great stuff from Athena VS Harley, certainly one of Harley’s better matches. But at the same time, of course Athena won to face Mone. Good promo from Mone to call Athena out, their match is going to be awesome, hard to say who wins that.

Konosuke VS Brody was also great, definitely a great main event. Of course Konosuke won. He’s NEVER Openweight Champion, the Don Callis Family keeps their idea of All Don Callis Family alive a little longer, and Konosuke VS Ospreay is going to be awesome stuff. I still think Ospreay wins and meets Kyle in the main event, but I suppose that still depends on how Hangman VS Wild Card goes.

My Score: 8.9/10

The Death Riders speak.

Jon Moxley says, “The single greatest roster of pure talent ever assembled under one roof every week on AEW Dynamite. So, why can’t any of these guys get their act together when it counts? They come with their talents and they come with their gifts and they come with their fanfare and their bodies hit the dirt and they roll back down the hill. They will excuse themselves of they will seek comfort without addressing the real problem: You don’t want it. You don’t. We will scorch the earth with anybody who wants to call themselves a contender before we give a single inch. Not an inch.

“This is my life’s work. It will not be bought or sold. Matt & Nick Jackson have returned. Interesting. Power players in pro-wrestling’s new gilded age. Let’s do a little who’s who. I’m surrounded by warriors, I am the world champion, a king on the frontlines. You two? I don’t recognize you two anymore. I haven’t for a long time. You stumbled onto a board and you don’t know what the game is. You better figure it out, and you better be real, real careful. Better be real careful before you make any moves.” The Maniac keeps everyone on edge as he puts them all on notice, but will someone finally beat him at his own game?

Jon Moxley w/ Marina Shafir VS Katsuyori Shibata!

While The Maniac thinks he and his Death Riders are feared and untouchable, The Opps showed they are #NeverLacking! The Opps did what they could to keep things even between Death Riders and Swerve Strickland, but will The Wrestler make sure Moxley realizes what he’s lacking?

The bell rings, the two circle, and Baltimore rallies up. The two clinch, fight for control, and Shibata slips through to waistlock. Moxley wrenches free, but Shibata hooks a leg. Moxley rolls to get a wristlock but Shibata headscissors. The fans cheer, but Moxley fights around and pops free. The two stare down and go again. Shibata stays low as he looks for a leg, but then stands as Moxley tries for knuckle locks. They clinch, Moxley facelocks, but Shibata fights around. The fans duel, Shibata slips out to waistlock, then he grabs a leg. Moxley fights up, Shibata goes back to the waistlock and wrangles Moxley again.

The two move around, Moxley goes to the ROPEBREAK, and Shibata lets off. The fans rally as the two reset. They circle, tie up collar ‘n’ elbow, and Moxley powers Shibata back to the ropes. Shibata turns things around, only for Moxley to turn them back around, and they’re in the corner. Moxley lets off slowly, then he pie faces Shibata! Shibata CHOPS Moxley! The fans fire up as Shibata gives as good as he gets! Moxley is already red, so he CHOPS! Shibata CHOPS, Moxley CHOPS, the fans “WOO~!” and the CHOPS keep going! As soon as Mox CHOPS, Shibata CHOPS! Moxley snarls, kicks low, then runs, to then BOOT Shibata!

Moxley gets in Shibata’s face, but Shibata just eggs him on! The fans fire up, so Moxley BOOTS Shibata again! Shibata just turns himself around and eggs Moxley on! Moxley BOOTS, but Shibata gets in Moxley’s face! Moxley runs, but into a clinch, S T O! The fans fire up, and Shibata clamps on a chinlock. Moxley fights up, but Shibata catches him into a COBRA TWIST! Moxley endures, reaches out, but Shibata shifts position to have an IRON OCTOPUS! Moxley still endures, fights his way forward, and has the ROPEBREAK! Shibata lets go to CLUB Moxley, then whips him to a corner and BOOTS!

The fans fire up as Shibata fires a flurry of forearms on Moxley! The ref counts, Shibata sits Moxley down, then he runs corner to corner, HYDRAULIC DROPKICK! Then he gets going again, but Moxley LARIATS first! Moxley hurries to get Shibata up, LARIAT! Cover, ONE!! Shibata is tougher than that, but Moxley reels him in, PILEDRIVER! Moxley grins while Shibata staggers up, but Shibata PENALTY KICKS! The fans fire up as Shibata quite literally kicks that smug look off Moxley’s face! Marina is worried, but Shibata clamps on with a chinlock. Moxley fights up, slips out, and he has a SLEEPER!

Shibata pries at the hold, slips around, spin and snapmare, then the SLEEPER! Moxley fights up, reaches out, and he reaches back to THUMB Shibata in the eye! Shibata lets go, Moxley has the SLEEPER, and drops for the REAR NAKED CHOKE! The fans boo but Shibata is caught! The ref calls it, Moxley wins!

Winner: Jon Moxley, by submission

Dirty deeds done dirt cheap, but it still gave Moxley the win. Will Moxley continue to act in opposition to his words? Wait! The Young Bucks are here! Matthew & Nicholas Jackson make their way out on stage, Baltimore booing all the way. The prodigal EVPs go to the ring, and step inside to join Moxley & Marina. Moxley eyes The Bucks, The Problem standing in their way. Moxley has Marina stand down and the Death Riders fall back. Nick gets a mic to say, “Please give it up for your World Heavyweight Champion, Jon Moxley!” The fans boo instead. Nick says, “And show some damn respect for the Founding Fathers of AEW, YOUR EVPs!”

The fans boo more, but Nick tells them to “Shut the F up!” And yes, he used the letter F, so he self-censored. Nick knows everyone is wondering why The Bucks did what they did. Why did they cost Swerve the world title? Well, they have a couple good reasons why. First of all, they did it for their good friend. Hangman Adam Page, you’re welcome! This is what Hangman wanted all along! He never wanted Swerve to be world champion ever again, so they did that for him. The Bucks do NOT forget who their friends are. They still love Hangman and they know Hangman loves them. The fans chant “Whose House? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!”

Matt says Moxley, if only you stuck around to hear this, but Matt isn’t afraid to say this in front of the world. The fans continue to chant for “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” but Matt tells The Death Riders that what they did for them is a peace offering. The Bucks have no problems with The Death Riders, and they hope The Death Riders have no problems with them. While Matt & Nick sat at home for months and months, they realized while watching The Death Riders, that they’ve all got more in common than you’d think. The Death Riders wanna see that locker room rise to the occasion, just like The Bucks.

The Death Riders want AEW to be the best company in the world, just like The Bucks! They want to change the world, just like The Bucks! And Jon, Matt is impressed. Watching Jon, Matt saw him do what The Bucks could not. Jon Moxley succeeded in taking over AEW, and even got the world title. The Bucks could never do that. So last Sunday was their elevator pitch to The Death Riders. Imagine the synergy if The Death Riders & The Elite worked together as one! Moxley, the world champion, and The Founding Fathers of AEW, The EVPs, all together…! So please, Moxley, come on back out here with your boys, and let’s discuss a little bit of business.

The fans boo, but instead of Moxley, it’s KENNY OMEGA! The other Founding Father is here, and the fans fire up! The AEW International Champion has a mic to tell The Bucks, “So you did this all for your friends, huh? Mox, Hanger. You forgot to do me. But actually, I remember the last time we met. And if memory serves me correctly, it’s when at the height of my diverticulitis, you pushed me off a stretcher that was taking me to the hospital.” The fans boo, and Omega says this might sound crazy, but he never forgot. And he even forgave them! When he returned, he said that what he was doing was for his own legacy and for the safety of this company, not for revenge.

The fans cheer, and Omega says what we’re all trying to do here is #BringBacktheFeeling. Now, Omega hates to divert from the story, but allow him to tell The Bucks a story. Omega had a friend in high school who had two Shi Tzu dogs. It doesn’t really matter the type of dog, but they were both yappy as all heck. Ugly little mutts, but hey, Omega is an animal lover, so he loved these dogs. Every time he visited his friend’s place, they’d play games, but the dogs would take a dookie on the floor. The friend didn’t care, and those two little Shi Tzus were ever so pleased with themselves.

But as time went on, and more dookie kept collecting, and the stains left behind were getting more pungent, Omega had to say, “Hey, pal. Maybe we move this over to my place?” That is what The Bucks, without Omega, were like here in AEW. The fans chant “DOOKIE! DOOKIE!” Omega says the last time we saw The Bucks on AEW TV, they were shredding documents like there was some big incriminating thing they were covering up. Guys, Omega is gonna spoil the surprise right now. We all know how The Bucks live. We all know exactly how they operate! They brag about their earnings and their money, so yes, they were tearing up receipts!

Receipts of private jets! Of that big chair one of them has facing the bed in their master bedroom. The OnlyFans accounts! But it doesn’t matter! The part that matters most, the part that pisses Omega off the most, is that not because of The Death Riders, but because of The Young Bucks that AEW almost died! The company Omega loves and gave his very life, heart and soul for. The fans cheer that, and Omega says he cannot lie. The time off did The Bucks wonderfully. Nick looks every bit of that 90 pounds he was before he left. And Matt… Well, sure, he looks fine in that low cut V neck, but lay off the hot stuff! He’s as red as Nick’s lapels!

And quite frankly, now that we’ve gotten to this point, Omega could go on and on and on. But he doesn’t know, maybe they cut out the middle man and just fight. The fans fire up as Omega storms his way forward! Nick & Matt are ready, but then here comes Kazuchika Okada! The Elite’s Rainmaker is here and Omega realizes this is now 3v1. But wait! SWERVE shows up! The fans fire up as now things look to be 3v2! Swerve slips in from the crowd side, with a chair! The Elite runs off, avoiding retribution for the Dynasty screw job. The fans cheer as Baltimore is now “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!”

Omega offers a fist bump, Swerve gives him the fist bump! Will The Cleaner and The Realest be unlikely allies in this war for AEW’s heart and soul? Swerve grabs a mic to shout, “I now pronounce it is Buck Hunting Season! And I’m here with a loaded shotgun ready to blast on some freakin’ EVPs! You couldn’t leave well enough alone, could you? I dealt with you last year. And now-” PAC ATTACKS! The Bastard has a match with Swerve, so he decides to take it now! The fans boo but Pac digs his boot into Swerve in the neck! The ref rushes in, he has Pac back off, and things cool off while Dynamite goes to break!

Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS PAC!

Dynamite returns as Swerve tells the ref this match is still happening. The bell rings, Pac runs up, and Swerve BOOTS him down! The fans fire up and Swerve brings Pac up for fast hands! Swerve has Pac in a corner, fires off more shots, then fireman’s carries to hit SNAKE EYES! Swerve runs and he BOOTS Pac down again! Pac flounders, the fans fire up, and Swerve sees Pac bail out. Swerve BOOTS Pac from the apron! Swerve snarls, then drags Pac up to whip hard into railing! And then whips him the other way, into more railing! Pac writhes, but Swerve brings him up to send into steel steps! Pac slumps down while the fans fire up!

Nana says this is the REAL world champion here! Swerve refreshes the ring count, then revels in the fans chanting “One More Time!” Pac hurries into the ring to deny Swerve that, but Swerve goes around the outside. Swerve storms into the ring, but Pac goes back to the apron. Swerve storms up but Pac RAMS into him! Pac slingshots up and over, keeps moving, but Swerve stops the rana! Swerve hauls Pac up to BUCKLE BOMB! Pac writhes, drags himself up, and Swerve snapmares him to go up and FALLING UPPERCUT! The fans fire up while Swerve hits the Griddy! Swerve stalks Pac, stands on him at the ropes, but steps off as the ref counts.

Pac sputters, Swerve eggs Pac on, but Doc Sampson is called over to check on Pac. Pac’s foot seems to be the body part in question, and Swerve is annoyed that this is denying him his payback. The fans rally and Swerve paces. Doc double checks Pac, he is okay to continue, so he slides into the ring. SUPERKICK from Swerve! Swerve goes up the corner and the fans fire up! KILL STOMPS! Cover, Swerve wins!

Winner: Swerve Strickland, by pinfall

The Bastard takes a shot intended for The Bucks, but Swerve surely has ammo to spare. Will Swerve get at Matt & Nick soon enough?

Ricochet, Beast Mortos & Cru speak.

The One & Only says, “There is a lot that Daddy can do with $400,000. And tonight, I will lead Team Ricochet to victory.” The others take offense to that. But yeah, he’s the captain now. AHA~! The others roll their eyes, but will they all be rolling in money after tonight?

Will Ospreay, Mark Briscoe, Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey speak.

The Sussex County Chicken says, “Ladies and gentlemen, the word of the day is entrepreneurial! Because tonight, fellas, we have a opportunity to split 400 hundred thousand dollars! Will, whatcha gonna do with a hundred grand?” The Aerial Assassin shouts, “DISNEY WORLD~!” Mike, how ’bout you? He’ll buy some new shoes! And Jet, what about you? Kevin Knight is gonna go to Atlantic City, baby! What about Mark? Well, he plans to diversify his financial portfolio. But that’s besides the point! They’re coming for ya, baby! RAH RAH RAH! AEW hears from the many entrants of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup.

The CEO brags about how she beat the Princess of the Black Throne, but Billie Starkz reminds us that this is about honoring a legend. Jamie Hart says Billie is young, but scrappy and has heart. Mone continues to brag that the Money Train is going to win The Owen, pull into Globe Life Field stadium and become AEW Women’s World- Wait, Mini Mone pops in and says, “CHAMPION~!” Harley Cameron is all smiles but Mone has a headache. Billie knows Jamie doesn’t doubt herself because she beat Billie before, but in the Owen Hart Cup, it’ll be different. Harley tells Mone that she might go to All In. Or maybe, just maybe, Harley does, because she’s also in the tournament.

And you never know! Maybe Harley and Mone could face off! Jamie knows Billie wants her moment, but Jamie just wants to fight. Let’s see which one wins out on Saturday. Mone wishes Harley luck against Athena, and may the best woman win. Mini Mone tells Harley that next time, she’ll do the talking. But as stated, the Owen Hart Cup will have a Collision in Springfield, Massachusetts! Who makes it out of there to move on to Boston and the Spring Breakthru?

Backstage interview with Hangman Page.

Renee Paquette brings up The Cowboy facing the Wild Card entrant to the Men’s Owen Hart Cup. How does he prepare for a question mark? Hangman doesn’t know who this guy is, and he doesn’t know what he’s supposed to say, but he’s kinda doing something right now so excuse him. Hangman storms on down the hall and goes right into Swerve’s room!? Hangman asks Nana, “Where’s he at?!” Nana asks what the hell, and Hangman knows Nana knows, so he needs to sit his ass down! Nana sits down, and Hangman wants to make something perfectly clear! At Dynasty, Hangman was NOT trying to help Swerve, understand?

And next week, Hangman has his match in The Owen! So tell Swerve if he so much as thinks about getting in the way, Hangman will pick up with him where they left off. Hangman then turns to go, but Nana has him hold on. There’s something he’s been wanting to tell Hangman for the last year. Nana can’t talk for Swerve, but Nana regrets what they did. Hangman tells Nana to stop! Not another word! Nana does not get that. Hangman storms off, not wanting an apology. Is Hangman that determined to hate someone?

The fans fire up and Bailey runs, SHOOTING STAR PRESS! Cover, TWO!

The fans rally for “SPEEDBALL! SPEEDBALL!” and Bailey stays between Mortos and Cru. Bailey KICKS Mortos, but Mortos snarls! Bailey KICKS again! Mortos rises! Bailey KCISK, Mortos blocks, and Mortos spins Bailey to scoop and CIPHER UTAKI! Both men are down and the fans rally up. Bailey and Mortos crawl, hot tag to Ricochet, but Ricochet takes his time to swagger. The fans boo, but Ricochet springboards in, only for Bailey to dodge! Ricochet BLASTS Ospreay and Briscoe, but then Bailey dodges to BLAST Cru! Bailey runs up, but Ricochet hits a CAVE IN!! Bailey tumbles away but Briscoe runs in!

Briscoe dodges Ricochet, dodges again, then waistlocks. Ricochet switches, Briscoe breaks that and PELES! Mortos is back to shove and POP-UP SAMOAN DROP Briscoe! Knight whips Mortos to go up, but Mortos catches him! Knight fires hands, but Mortos still fights the rana! But Knight makes the bomb a DDT! Action kicks Knight, whips him, but Knight reverses. Lio is in and he fires hands! Lio whips, “This is Awesome!” as Knight reverses. Action goes up and out while Lio slides to a stop. Knight runs in, but Action ROCKS him! Lio UP KICKS, Action ENZIGIRIS, then Lio whips. Knight and Lio dosido with their reversals, RUSH HOUR!

Action is there to torture rack Knight, SWINGING NECKBREAKER! Ospreay runs up, Lio has a leg! Action runs up but Ospreay ducks to then break free, dodge and handspring, DOUBLE PELE! The fans are thunderous, but Ricochet SHOVES Ospreay right out! Bailey PENALTY KICKS Ricochet, then sets up, STANDING- NO, Ricochet avoids the knee drop! A little like Dynasty there, and Ricochet hauls Bailey up to a fireman’s carry, RUNNING DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Bailey survives and the fans fire up! Briscoe ROCKS Ricochet, Ricochet tumbles away and tags Mortos. Briscoe LARIATS Ricochet up and out!

Mortos blocks him, FLIPS both Bailey and Briscoe, but they both land out! Bailey’s foot jams a bit, but he and Briscoe use that to stereo crane stance! The fans are sure happy that money is going to a good cause! Will Ospreay awaits a top notch opponent in the Owen Hart Cup, Kevin Knight is going to be in NJPW’s Best of the Super Juniors, will $100,000 help each man prepare for those high stakes?

AEW has an injury report on Adam Copeland.

After failing to dethrone the Death Riders as AEW World Trios Champions, FTR betrayed Cope and absolutely brutalized him! The Rated R Superstar is ruled out of action indefinitely, did Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler just end the career of a man they once called friend?

The Hurt Syndicate is here!

Baltimore cheers as Montel Vontavious Porter and the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin, head to the ring. There’s already quite the set up waiting for them: a table decked out with food and drink; a pedestal to rest the belts on; and a picture commemorating their victory. The fans cheer for MVP as he grabs the mic, and he says, “Ladies and gentlemen of the AEW viewing audience, this is an official announcement from The Hurt Syndicate. Punks jump up to get beat down. Two more challengers stepped up for the AEW Tag Team Championships, and two more challengers got beat down.”

The fans cheer, and MVP says if they would be so kind, please join him and his colleagues in a toast to celebrate yet another successful title defense. They take the bottles of champagne from the bucket of ice, and the fans chant, “We Hurt~ People!” They raise their glasses, but then MJF makes his way out here! Maxwell Jacob Friedman smiles, has a mic in hand already, and he goes right to the ring. MJF apologizes and then stands in line beside Shelton. The fans are torn, Shelton chuckles, MVP smirks, but Lashley is not amused. Baltimore duels, “He’s Our Scumbag!” “NO, HE’S NOT!” MVP talks with Lashley to relax, but then MJF speaks.

“Look at us, huh? I don’t know if you’ve heard, but we hurt people, baby! This is great, this is great. Guys, look at us, huh? Dripping in gold! You’re welcome, by the way. I couldn’t be happier. This couldn’t have come at a better time, mind you. Because that guy, Tony Khan, he wanted me to do the Owen Hart Cup Tournament? So I could what? Sweat my balls off, break my back, wrestle every week like some shmuck! I don’t think so, Maryland. See, I work smarter, not harder. And now that I’m rolling with The Syndicate? Whew! Daddy gets to cut the line and get back what is rightfully mine, and that is the Triple B, baby!”

The fans cheer, MVP chuckles, and MJF says this is a perfect fit! He scratches their backs by helping them maintain their tag team titles, because let’s face it, without his help, woof. And now, they help little ol’ MJF! Everyone wins! So, Montel, serious question, how does the initiation work? Does he sign a contract? Or is it an old school blood brothers thing? Lashley tells MJF to shut up. “Shut your freakin’ mouth!” Everyone saw what MJF did! When Lashley turned around and saw Big Bill standing, Lashley cut him in half and finished it, cuz that’s what they do. Now MJF tried to help, which was cute, but he didn’t get the job done.

So Max, this is yet another reason why they don’t need MJF! MJF says okay, cool. First, don’t point. Lashley says he’ll point at whoever he wants! They argue, but then Shelton & MVP step in. MVP tells Lashley to chill, Lashley says MJF will respect him! MVP wants Shelton to cool off, too, just give MVP a second. MVP tells MJF he knows how MVP feels about him. They go way back. Lashley & Shelton know that, too. So in order for MJF to join the Syndicate, he has to get three thumbs up. We already know how MVP feels, he is thumbs up. Shelton? MJF says yeah, they go way back, too! Shelton’s answer is thumbs… DOWN!

MJF thought they were cool! Lashley says thank you, Shelton. That’s two to one, the motion is denied. Lashley & Shelton head out, MJF turns to MVP, and MVP shrugs. The Syndicate heads out, not bothering with The Scumbag. What must MJF do to get what he wants?

Backstage interview with Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford.

Renee is with The Megasus & The Superbad Girl, and says she wanted to catch up on how they’re feeling after what was honestly, a surprising loss at Dynasty. Ford says that was just a taste of defeat. But it changes nothing. “Everything that this woman has been through is what? Just erased all because Toni Storm barely survived? No. Everything is just gonna get worse. This division cannot move on, because she won’t let it. She’s gonna be at Collision. And she doesn’t care who, she doesn’t care how many0” Megan brushes Renee aside to step forward, and she tells everyone, “I will make you bow down.” Ford says, “See what you did?”

The female titan of AEW was dominant before, and now she’s angry! Who will be destroyed all because Toni Storm still reigns?

The Don Callis Family speaks.

Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita stand behind Don Callis himself as he says, “All signs are pointing and all roads are leading to a Proto-shita final for the Don Callis Family in the Owen Hart Tournament. I mean, the Protostar here, he already beat that degenerate, Mark Briscoe. And even though Brody King got one over on the Don Callis Family when he beat Lance Archer, I can tell you, my word, it shan’t happen again! Because we’ve got valuable intel, and you’re in the ring, Brody King, with The Alpha. Look at these two! I mean, in their 20s, jacked, oiled up, hot! The talk of the town! Very healthy young men.

“Y’know who’s not healthy? A couple other members of the Don Callis Family. So I’m gonna put it out there officially tonight: The Don Callis Family, given the rash of injuries that has taken place, is now accepting potential new members. Send your résumé, send your picture, send your bank account number, because as these guys have proven, this is straight to the top.” Callis is expanding his stable, who will accept his offer? And will Takeshita make it through the King of Death this Saturday on Collision?

The Undisputed Kingdom speaks.

Kyle O’Reilly says, “There’s been a lot of ups and downs for us in AEW, boys. And since I joined the Undisputed Kingdom, we’ve been chasing that one moment to kick things off. And the TNT Championship tells the world what we already know: We are the elite of the elite, and watch us as we collect moment after moment after moment.” Roderick Strong says, “Speaking of moments, Kyle, I think it’s about time that we have our moment.” Adam Cole tells Roddy that they will. “Because excellence is not just defined by your successes. Excellence is defined by how you handle your failures.

“The past two years, I’ve been through hell and back. They were two of the most challenging years not just in my career, but in my life. And now I stand before you the Face of TNT, your NEW AEW TNT Champion. And trust me when I tell you, this is just the start for the three of us. Because it’s a new era in All Elite Wrestling, because we… We are the paragons, and that is Undisputed.” Cole, Kyle & Roddy are ready, will they redefine what it is to be All Elite?

Chris Jericho is here!

The former ROH World Champion goes to the ring, where he has his podium, prop trees and TV set up. Jericho has the mic to say, “I am the legendary Chris Jericho, but I am no longer the ROH World Champion.” The fans cheer that! Jericho says he lost his match, he lost a tooth, and he lost his title. And while that is disappointing, he will give credit where credit is due. Congratulations, Bandido, you pulled it off. After months of conflict with one of the greatest pro-wrestlers of all time, Jericho, Bandido was finally victorious. Bandido won the title and saved his mask, but of course with the assistance of his intrusive siblings and his stooge of a mother!

But Jericho gets it. Bandido has his familia, and Jericho has his. Jericho will bring them out now: “Big Bill” Morrissey & Bryan Keith! The Redwood & The Bad Apple make their way out now, and they’re just as upset given they also lost on Sunday. Bill & Keith step into the ring to join Jericho, and Jericho says he was hoping they’d all have titles here tonight. He was hoping they would win the AEW World Tag Team Championships at Dynasty. But they didn’t, did they? That’s why Jericho- Bill stops him?!

Bill grabs his own mic while the fans cheer him on, and Bill says, “Look, Chris, I already know what you’re gonna say. You’re angry, and you have every right to be angry. I’m angry. In fact, I’ve been getting real angry a lot as of late.” Keith wants Bill to stop, but Bill says no, Jericho needs to hear this. Bill knows Keith knows this, too, because they’ve talked about this. Keith is still conflicted, but Bill tells Jericho that Bill has the utmost respect for Jericho. Jericho is one of the greatest of all time. Jericho is one of the most decorated performers in the history of this industry. The fans do cheer that, and Bill says that is why he joined The Learning Tree.

Bill wanted to learn from Jericho. But… Bill did not sign up to be Jericho’s punching bag whenever things go wrong. The fans cheer that! Jericho has a bit of a smirk, and Bill says if he and Keith are out here because Jericho is going to teach them something, then by all means, go ahead and teach. But if they are just here so Jericho can berate and humiliate them, then let Bill know right now, so Bill can leave. And Bill knows Bryan feels the same way. Jericho steps closer to Keith and asks if that’s true. Because that isn’t why Jericho brought them out here. If that’s what they think, then they do have a lot more to learn than he thought.

Jericho believes in them. And when he said he wanted them to win the AEW World Tag Team Championships, he meant that, because he cares about both of them. He handpicked both of them to stand by him to teach them, help them, and believe him, he doesn’t have to help anyone in AEW if he doesn’t want to. But they have potential. They’re future world champions! That is why their victories are his victories, and their failures are his failures. And that is why Jericho is empathetic to Bill when Bill was not there when Jericho needed him most! Jericho lost the ROH World Championship, and Bill wasn’t there!

Some might go so far as to say it was Bill’s fault that Jericho lost! The fans boo, this is clearly the berating Bill spoke of. Bill tries not to react, but Jericho says he isn’t saying that. He doesn’t believe that at all. It is okay, because he is not angry. Just disappointed. Jericho SMASHES his TV with Floyd the Baseball Bat! Jericho again says, “I’m not angry, just disappointed.” And then SMASH goes the TV! SMASH! SMASH! SMASH! Then he goes after the trees! Jericho keeps saying, “I’m disappointed! I’m disappointed! I’m disappointed! I’M EFFING DISAPPOINTED!” And unlike Nick Jackson earlier, Jericho does say the full word.

The fans boo and Bill glares at Jericho. Jericho says he is disappointed in them, and until they change that, it is best that he leaves. Jericho pushes his podium over, storms out of the ring, and the fans sing, “Hey Hey Hey~! GOODBYE~!” If this is disappointed, what would angry even look like? Keith and Bill are upset, but in different ways. What happens to The Learning Tree if The Nueve is going to be MIA?

Anthony Bowens speaks.

It was after the huge return at Dynasty during the Zero Hour that the Pride of Pro-Wrestling said, “I’m finally free of the shackles that is Max Caster. The Five Tool Player has finally arrived. I’ve got five tools, and one rule: And that’s  to prove them wrong.” Bowens returns to AEW TV as he takes on Blake Christian this Saturday, will the Vanilla Baby survive this Collision?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

Almost a week after the brutal beating they gave Adam Copeland, Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler will be in Springfield, Mass to speak on #WhyFTRWhy. Will their answer be satisfactory? Or simply self-serving?

Backstage interview with The Hurt Syndicate.

Alicia Atout has caught up with MVP, Lashley & Shelton to bring up the interactions with MJF. Where do things go from here? Lashley asks why they’re even talking about MJF. Everyone knows MJF is not to be trusted, and then after what he said out there tonight? Lashley does not like MJF, and the Syndicate does not need MJF. Shelton agrees there. They don’t need anybody else. Though, “Lil’ George Costanza is pretty funny.” Lashley rolls his eyes and storms off, Shelton says he’ll go talk to him. MVP says they’re just trying to figure out- Wait, someone knocks on the door. MVP says come in, and it’s MJF!

MJF tells Alicia, “Honey, this is an AB conversation, so why don’t you C your skank ass outta here? Buh-bye, catch you around.” MJF apologizes to MVP that he had to see that, but he is just a little perturbed. Can he ask a question, plain and simple? Sure, go ahead. Does MJF look like a “female dog” to him? MVP wants MJF to get to the point. MJF’s point is, why does he always end up treated like some punk b*tch!? Do these guys not know who he is? He’s M J F! MVP has MJF stop there. That’s the problem: They know exactly who MJF is. MJF’s reputation precedes him. But this is business, and in the world of business, you get your consumer, find out what they want, and give it to them.

MVP heads out, and MJF thinks on that. Will he figure out what the supply and demand for the Hurt Syndicate is?

Jericho is in the parking lot.

He storms around, and he takes out his “disappointment” on some spare sodas before getting into his car. The driver takes it away, when and where will we see The Learning Tree again?

Samoa Joe & Hook VS Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta!

While Jon Moxley beat Shibata earlier tonight, Swerve did take out The Bastard soon after. The rest of The Opps take on the rest of The Death Riders, who will it be that’s caught lacking here tonight?

The teams sort out, Joe starts against Yuta, and the fans rally behind the Samoan Submission Specialist. The two circle, Yuta waistlocks, but Joe wrenches out and wristlocks. The fans sing, “Joe is gonna kill~ you!” but Yuta rolls, only for Joe to wrangle him. Yuta fights up, spins and works on the grip, but Joe wrangles him again. Yuta kips up, spins, rolls, and fires a forearm! Joe lets Yuta go, but he’s more mad than anything. Yuta runs off before Joe can take a swing! The fans boo but Yuta wants the ref to back Joe off. The ref has Joe step back, then Yuta slides in. Yuta tags Claudio and the fans boo more.

Joe smirks as now the Swiss Cyborg steps in. Joe and Claudio knuckle lock, then Claudio kicks low! Claudio UPPERCUTS, UPPERCUTS again, but Joe CHOPS! And JABS! JABS! JABS! Joe fires JAB after JAB, then whips Claudio to a corner. Joe runs up, ELBOW and PELE! Claudio sputters along the ropes but Joe bumps him off buckles. Tag to Hook and the Opps mugs Claudio. Hook fires body shots then clinches, but Claudio CLUBS him, then scoops and SLAMS him! Tag to Yuta, Yuta climbs up, and Yuta CROSSBODIES but Hook says nope! Yuta belly flops on the mat, then Hook waistlocks for a deadlift GERMAN SUPLEX!

Hook holds on, to GERMAN SUPLEX again! And GERMAN SUPLEX again! The fans fire up for Hook while Yuta flounders to the corner. Tag to Joe and Joe JABS, CHOPS, and repeat! The fans cheer as Joe then snapmares Yuta, CHOPS him on the back, and KICKS him in the front! Joe runs to ELBOW DROP! Tag to Hook, he runs up to fire knees. Hook puts Yuta in a corner and fires body shots! Hook whips corner to corner, Yuta reverses, but then Hook puts Yuta on the apron. Hook ROCKS Yuta, Yuta falls to the floor, but then Yuta grabs a foot! The ref reprimands as Yuta trips Hook, but Hook kicks free! Only for Claudio to APRON DOUBLE STOMP!

The ref reprimands while Hook writhes, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Yuta storms back in and brings Hook up. Yuta CHOPS Hook, but Hook CHOPS in return! Yuta CLAWS Hook’s eyes, tags Claudio, and they double whip Hook to then DOUBLE BOOT! Yuta soaks up the heat while Claudio glares at Joe. Joe warns Claudio, but Claudio drags Hook around into a top wristlock. Claudio grinds Hook down with that wristlock, but Hook fights up. Claudio knee slow, KNEES Hook again, then shoves him to the corner. Claudio stomps Hook down, argues with the ref, but that lets Yuta CHOKE Hook! Joe protests, the ref is busy with him now, so Yuta gets away with it. Claudio smothers Hook, KNEES him low, then tags Yuta.

Yuta runs up to stomp Hook, then brings him around. Yuta talks trash on Baltimore, but Hook fires body shots! Yuta KNEES low, hooks a leg, and hits a FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Not quite perfect, but Yuta doesn’t care as he just clamps onto a foot. Yuta drags Hook around, YANKS the leg, then tags Claudio. Claudio stomps Hook, then smothers him with a chinlock. Hook endures, even as Claudio grinds him down. Hook fights around, fights up, and he fires body shots. Claudio shifts to a SLEEPER, but Hook still fights. Hook reaches out for Joe, Joe reaches out for Hook, but Claudio shifts around to have a COBRA CLUTCH!

The fans rally as Hook fights up, and he has Claudio as a backpack! Hook stomps forward, but Claudio slips down and THROWS Hook down! Claudio then UPPERCUTS Hook to the corner! Tag to Yuta, he drags Hook up and snapmares for a chinlock of his own. Hook endures all over again while Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans rally for Hook and they taunt Yuta, but Yuta leans on the hold. Hook fights to his feet, fires body shots, then he SAYANAGIS free! But Yuta comes back for a PAIN THRILLER! Cover, TWO! Yuta tags Claudio, Claudio scuffs Hook, then Claudio eggs Hook on. “Who’s the man?”

Claudio shoves Hook to the corner, but Hook ROCKS Claudio, ELBOWS Yuta, and repeat! Hook hurries for his corner but Claudio catches him with a clinch. Claudio KNEES low, then whips Hook to the corner. Claudio storms up, but Hook clinches! CORNER EXPLODER! The fans fire up while both men are down! Hook crawls, but Yuta is right there, Claudio tags Yuta in! Yuta runs to BLAST Joe! The fans boo but Hook catches Yuta! EXPLODER! Hook crawls, as does Yuta, but Joe’s still down! Yuta tags Claudio, Claudio runs at Hook, UPPERCUT! Cover, TWO! Hook survives but Claudio drags him back up!

Tag to Yuta, and Yuta climbs! Claudio hauls Hook up, DOOMSDAY POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO?!?! Hook survives and shocks The Death Riders! They argue with the ref, but Joe rises to the apron! Only for Claudio to slide out, YANK Joe down, and throw forearms! Joe fires in return and the fans fire up! Joe whips, Claudio reverse, Joe hits railing! Claudio runs up, but into an URENAGE to the floor! Yuta drags Hook up, but Hook standing switches and clamps on! REDRUM!! No, Yuta is fighting it, and here comes Moxley! The ref has Moxley back off, but this lets Yuta CLAWS Hook’s eyes! The fans boo but Moxley does his part.

Moxley has a chair, he tells Yuta to finish this, but SHIBATA returns! He has Moxley in a SLEEPER! The fans fire up as Moxley flails! REDRUM for Yuta!! Joe has Claudio, COQUINA CLUTCH!! The Opps have the Death Riders all caught! Yuta TAPS, Opps win!!

Winners: Samoa Joe & Hook, by submission

They truly are #NeverLacking! Joe, Hook and even Shibata had the grit to tough it out and take the win! Shibata’s even putting the Maniac AEW World Champion to sleep! But Marina Shafir slithers in, chair in hand! She CHOP BLOCKS Joe! Yuta CLOBBERS Hook, Claudio is back to help mug Hook! The fans boo, Shibata hurries to help his guys, but Claudio fires shots! Yuta joins in to TOSS Shibata out! Claudio has the chair, sits it upside-down, and he reels Hook in! GOTCH NEUTRALIZER onto the chair legs!! Hook is all but skewered on those, and now The Death Riders run away before Joe can get them!

The fans boo, but what did anyone expect from the dastardly, no good Death Riders? Joe is the only one standing, and he has a mic to shout, “DEATH RIDERRRS~! You cowardly SOBs! You see, the Opps came to Baltimore to give you a fist fight! And it seems like the Death Riders are acting more like a bunch of D*CK RIDERS right now, to come out here and do what they want!” The fans fire up behind Joe, and Joe says they make it real simple! The Opps VS The Death Riders, and they’re coming for the AEW World Trios Championships!! Joe has thrown down the challenge, will The Death Riders have no choice but to accept?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite for the follow-up to Dynasty, but something promo wise must’ve gone long because the main event needed most of that overrun. Part of me thinks it was Kenny Omega with The Bucks. We got a good opening promo from Moxley that properly uses that Heel hypocrisy to act like he didn’t get saved by everyone in the Death Riders and The Bucks, and then we got a great match from Moxley VS Shibata. Moxley of course wins by using dirty tactics, but I liked the segue into The Bucks having their promo, which then brought out Kenny. Part of why this part took longer was cuz the fans were having too much fun chanting “Dookie.”

But there’s something about The Elite wanting to work with The Death Riders, but they’ve got Omega and Swerve opposing them, I wonder if Double or Nothing gets to have Anarchy in the Arena 2025. The Owen Hart Cup Finals determine a #1 contender to the world title, so Double or Nothing doesn’t have to have a world title match. Honestly, seeing as how Revolution and Dynasty basically had the same upsetting end to a world title match, Anarchy in the Arena would be a much better main event. Though, that really depends on what happens with The Opps and the trios titles. Honestly, The Opps better win those titles.

We got a great tag team main event, and while Joe & Hook win, Death Riders get the better of them with that beating. I really hope Pac is okay, his ankle scare might have been what wrapped his match against Swerve. If Pac’s ankle is still a concern, that’s perhaps all the more reason to take the trios titles off The Death Riders and put them on The Opps so that The Opps can carry those into Double or Nothing or even All In. Then Anarchy in the Arena can be Bucks, Okada, and at least Moxley, Claudio & Yuta, against Omega, Swerve, and certainly Hangman Page. Hangman had a great bit with Prince Nana, and they’re really taking this to interesting places. Swerve says he deserved what Hangman did, Nana wants to apologize for what Swerve did, and Hangman isn’t sure how to handle any of it.

Now, Hangman also said his Owen Hart Cup match is next week, and that complicates what some fans were hoping to see. Fans hoped Darby Allin would go All In (see how his name and the words work together?) but Darby wants to climb Mount Everest. Apparently that climb is either happening now or within the next week, meaning he’s not going to be available for the Wild Card position. Not sure who they could put in that spot, not sure why they had a Wild Card spot to begin with, but if it isn’t Darby, I feel like Hangman wins that to at least be a bit closer to the Cup. But with The Bucks back, I could see them pulling strings to try and help Hangman, he doesn’t like it, all the more reason he joins Swerve and Omega against The Elite.

Very good promo segment from The Hurt Syndicate with MJF. MJF just assuming he’s in was great, as was Lashley’s entire reaction to it. Not sure we needed that backstage promo, that could’ve been left for Collision. Also, I believe Alicia Atout is MJF’s newest girlfriend, so she clearly knew MJF would be misogynistic for the bit. Good promo from Undisputed Kingdom, or perhaps the Paragon? I feel like “Paragon” was floated around as a faction name a year or so ago, not sure they need to try that again. And surprisingly, a very good TV Time with Chris Jericho. I really liked Bill being blunt with Jericho, and then Jericho turning that around to be somewhat psycho was actually a good move, too. Can’t wait for Bill and Jericho to have it out, and for Keith to choose a side.

That was a great 8 Man Tag, with great promos, but like… Does a kayfabe “big cash prize” really have to be the reason? I suppose it’s TK’s best way of justifying such an assortment of wrestlers in a match, but it still seems really silly. They never really did that much with Top Flight & AR Fox after they won that Three Kings $300K battle royal. The gear didn’t change or improve that drastically, there was no promo/vignette where they had fun with the $300K, so why bother? Good promo from Don Callis, though, to hype up his guys in the Owen Hart Cup, and to open the door to new members. Maybe guys lost in the shuffle can finally do stuff on TV. Also, a shame about Mark Davis and Brian Cage, I hope those guys get well soon.

And great stuff in the Women’s Owen Hart Cup. Very good promo from all the other entries, and a great match from Kris VS Rosa. Toni on commentary is still good, but she really does like innuendos, doesn’t she? Maybe too much? I’m just a touch surprised Kris won, I thought they were going to give us Thunder VS Storm again, given Rosa never actually lost the title. They can still do that for Double or Nothing on the side while someone else wins the tournament, but Megan & Ford also had a very good promo. I figured with Dynasty that Megan would want a rematch, but maybe she has to go through Rosa to get it. Or maybe Triple Threat since the PPV is Double or Nothing?

My Score: 8.9/10
