The fans rally for Naito while he’s down among the chairs. Evil tells the fans to shut up, and he gets the mic back to tell Red Shoes to count already. The fans boo but Evil soaks it all up. Naito crawls, the fans rally behind him, and he rises to his feet. The count is climbing, we’re at 10 of 20 as Naito hobbles his way to the aisle. We hit 15 before Naito’s back from No Man’s Land! Naito hurries as we hit 18 and he rolls in safe. The fans cheer, and Evil whips Naito into bare buckles! The Bullet Club Special appears by surprise, and Kanemaru likes it while Bushi protests. Evil covers, TWO! Evil is annoyed but he stands on Naito’s head.
The fans rally but Evil stands on Naito’s back now. Evil then drags Naito up, but Naito fires forearms! Evil knees low, TOSSES Naito out, and Dick is there with the chair! Dick SMACKS Naito off the chair! The fans boo but Dick gets away with that one. Dick puts Naito back in, Evil covers, but Red Shoes says no! He senses the shenanigans! Evil gets mad, but Red Shoes pretends to be double checking the red corner buckle pad. Evil kicks Naito around, taunts him, taunts the fans, but then Naito fires body shots! Naito ROCKS Evil, so Evil CLAWS Naito’s face! Red Shoes reprimands and counts, but Evil turns Naito around.
But then Naito fishhooks Evil to turn the neckbreaker back around! Evil powers Naito back around, but Naito elbows free! Naito then catches Evil to NECKBREAKER and basement DROPKICK! Now Bushi cheers and Kanemaru complains. The fans also cheer, and Naito slowly rises. Naito brings Evil up, fires forearms, then kicks, then CLUBS him. Naito whips, Evil reverses but Naito holds ropes. Naito BOOTS back, slips around, and shoves to ELBOW and basement DROPKICK! The fans cheer more and Naito whips Evil to a corner. Naito then ELBOWS Evil, hoists him up into the ropes, and dragon sleepers! DRAPING NECKBREAKER!
Naito then hauls Evil up, turns him, holds him, and then hits the NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Naito stays cool, and he brings Evil up. Naito hammerlocks then half nelsons, but Evil pulls hair! Red Shoes reprimands, but then Naito pulls hair! Red Shoes still reprimands, but Naito kicks. Naito whips, Evil reverses, and then Evil blocks a kick! Evil puts Naito in ropes for a WOE STOMP! Evil complains to Red Shoes about the hair pulling, then goes back to Naito. Evil taunts the fans as he brings Naito up. FISHERMAN BUSTER! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer and we pass 10 minutes. Evil continues to tell the fans to shut up.
Evil drags Naito up, but Naito fights free! Naito throws heavy elbow after elbow! Dick is up to something, though! Naito fires more heavy elbows, but then Dick gets on the apron. Red Shoes argues with him, Evil grabs the blue buckle pad! But Naito dodges and kicks Evil! Naito has the pad, and he SMACKS Evil with it! Red Shoes hears that but Naito throws the pad to Dick before Red Shoes turns around! Dick defends his innocence which he actually has this time, but then Naito shoves Evil into him! Then roll up on Evil, TWO! Naito hurries to atomic drop, Evil falls, and Naito ROLLING JACKKNIFES! TWO!!
Evil escapes, blocks a kick, and he CLAWS Naito’s eyes! Evil trips Naito, covers, TWO, and Evil falls on Red Shoes! Then Kanemaru goes right after Bushi!! Was The House of Torture just waiting for this moment!? Kanemaru goes to the ring and Evil grins. The fans boo as The House stomps away on Naito! The fans tell them all to go home, but Evil puts one out on Naito. The mugging continues, and then they whip Naito to a corner. Dick ELBOWS, Kanemaru ELBOWS, and Evil LARIATS! Snapmare, and then they set Naito up! Dick climbs, and DICK CHOPS! Naito writhes, Evil calls for the ref and Kanemaru puts Red Shoes in. Red Shoes counts the cover, TWO!!!
The fans fire up as Naito survives, but Kanemaru gets up in Red Shoes’ face! The fans boo more but Evil & Dick lift Naito for MAGIC KILLER!! Kanemaru lets Red Shoes count the cover, TWO!!! Naito survives again and the fans cheer! Evil is mad but he slashes his throat. Evil vows to finish this, and he hauls Naito up. EVERY- NO! Naito fights with elbows! Evil CLAWS Naito’s eyes, shoves Red Shoes, then runs. But Naito pops Evil up for a LOW BLOW! The House freaks out but fans fire up while both men are down! Dick & Kanemaru try to snitch, but then Bushi SMACKS them with the buckle pad! The fans fire up as Bushi coaches Naito!
Naito and Evil slowly stir, and Naito stands while Evil tries to tell Red Shoes what happened. Naito brings Evil up, Evil kicks and whips, but Naito reverses! Evil hits the bare buckles! Naito ENZIGIRIS, then TORNADO DDTS! The fans fire up, Naito roars, and Naito brings Evil up at 15 minutes. But then Evil shoves Naito into Red Shoes! Red Shoes goes down, Evil catches Naito, and Dick runs in! But Naito slips free, POCKET SAND hits Evil! Naito kicks Dick, has him by the neck, but Kanemaru runs in! Naito dodges, WHISKEY MIST hits Dick!! Bushi gives Kanemaru BLACK MIST! Kanemaru tumbles out, Bushi DIVES onto him!
The fans are thunderous as LIJ has evened things with The House! Naito runs up, CORRIENDO SHIKI DESTINO!! Cover, TWO?!? Evil survives but Naito just fires up! The fans fire up with him and he drags Evil up. Wrench and tilt-o-whirl, DEST- NO! EVERYTHING IS EVIL!! Cover, EVIL WINS?!
Winner: Evil, by pinfall (gains 2 points; Naito earns 0)
Just as there was light at the end of the tunnel, The King of Darkness snuffs it out! Naito, THE IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, has dropped to 1-3 in the block. Is he going to miss out on the playoffs at this rate?
As for Evil, he grabs to say, “Oi, Naito… What a shame, ya jerk!” The fans boo but Evil mockingly says Naito looks all beat up. Naito’s just “heavy luggage” for Evil’s company! Maybe Naito should take a long leave of absence. The fans boo and Evil says, “Is that what you thought I’d say? I’ll end things for you with one more match, right now! Ring the bell!” What? Dick rings the bell and Evil puts Naito in a SHARPSHOOTER! Abe-san rings the bell to signal this does not count, and Young Lions rush in, but Dick and Kanemaru beat them up for it! Evil finally lets go of Naito, and he goes back to the mic.
“Oi, Naito. Don’t think you’ve escaped. You can’t take time off in my company! You’ll work forever as my underling! You understand? Remember it! Now, get the hell outta here!” Evil mockingly uses the same “go away” chant the fans do, and the fans boo. Evil tells the “Nagasaki idiots” to remember this, too: “Only one guy is going perfect to win this G1. If you don’t like it, try and stop me. You don’t stand a chance! Understand? Remember it!” Evil tosses the mic away, will nothing stop him and the House of Torture taking over NJPW?
Here are the NEW A Block standings!
Zack Sabre Jr: 4-0, 8 points
Evil: 4-0, 8 points
Sanada: 2-2, 4 points
Gabe Kidd: 2-2, 4 points
Callum Newman: 2-2, 4 points
Shingo Takagi: 2-2, 4 points
Shota Umino: 2-2, 4 points
Tetsuya Naito: 1-3, 2 points
Jake Lee: 1-3, 2 points
Great-O-Khan: 0-4, 0 points
Here are the current B Block standings!
Yuya Uemura: 3-0, 6 points
Konosuke Takeshita: 2-1, 4 points
Henare: 2-1, 4 points
Ren Narita: 2-1, 4 points
Jeff Cobb: 1-2, 2 points
David Finlay: 1-2, 2 points
Boltin Oleg: 1-2, 2 points
Hirooki Goto: 1-2, 2 points
El Phantasmo: 1-2, 2 points
Yota Tsuji: 1-2, 2 points
My Thoughts:
Another great round for the G1, with some moderately surprising outcomes. Great-O-Khan being the only 0-3 and now the only 0-4 is surprising, but he sure has quite the line-up of KOPW Championship contenders at this point. I don’t see Khan going 0-9, though, so maybe Khan gets a great win to be a spoiler for someone. Callum getting that win over Takagi was rather surprising, too, but clearly great for Callum as he moves up the overall ranks in NJPW. Sanada VS Gabe was great stuff, too, and great win for Sanada to stay afloat at 2-2.
ZSJ VS Jake Lee was a great match on the technical aspect, and I’m just a touch surprised ZSJ got this one. However, ZSJ going 4-0 along with Evil, that is building their eventual match to be something special. Evil VS Naito was a great main event that of course ended up overbooked. I just knew the moment Kanemaru was on commentary, he’d come into play. Naito going 1-3 is itself a big deal, he could end up very busy for the Destruction tour, maybe even Royal Quest and Power Struggle 2024 to buff up those cards. Maybe that’s part of getting the most out of Naito’s title run before he loses at WrestleKingdom 19, if that’s something they’re thinking of doing.
My Score: 8.9/10

Results:
The Rascalz vs Fir$t Cla$$ vs Laredo vs The System
Octagon got jumped by The System earlier so Laredo is fighting alone. Another backstage jumping is getting a little dumb.
Laredo and Trey start. Typical Indie start with Simultaneous awful Dropkick spot and bad counters, AJ blind tag runs the smaller guys over, tags out to KC and the Rascalz instantly get the moment. KC is rocked, tags in Laredo and Laredo takes out the System before Lish gets on the apron and grabs Laredo. The referee kicks out Lish and Rehwoldt on commentary points out it’s a No DQ match so that’s dumb.
KC gets tossed at AJ, he catches him, Rascalz Dive and do their taunt as we go to commercial. We come back, Tennessee Whiskey into a KC tag in for the near fall on Laredo. Corner combo, Snapmare into Flip Forward Neck Breaker, KC is on a roll. AJ tags Laredo and starts talking crap to KC, they swerve and go Finger Poke of Doom, but it’s not a legal pin. Suddenly tornado attacks, System and Rascalz go for broke, AJ hits the Senton to break the eventual pin, Laredo counters AJ’s Chokeslam attempt. Trey clears out The System, Wentz sends himself and KC over and out, Laredo with a Corkscrew Moonsault, which looked cool but it’s the pile of morons waiting to get hit spot.
AJ hits the Down Payment on Laredo, but Trey blind tagged AJ. Meteora on AJ, Trey pins Laredo and Rascalz win.
Raj Singh vs Mustafa Ali
Raj looks like shit in the gear he came down in…and he wrestles equivalently. I would rather anyone else comeback…give me Anarquia.
Ali murders Raj, Instant Dropkick, Rolling Neckbreaker, Corkscrew Standing Moonsault, it’s not close. Raj tries to counter things but Ali Bellclap, a little Duck the left, connect the right. Raj even does a terrible looking Punch Combo, he’s in bad shape, a bad looking Ushigoroshi, Raj with a sloppy looking something, 450 ends it.
Fire Raj as quickly as you brought him back. You don’t need a comedically pathetic job guy when the roster is like 4 guys getting pushed and everyone else sucks. Stop being stupid. Ali still hates women too.
This Injury Report is the dumbest segment in the history of wrestling. Stop treating fake shit as “serious business”.
ASH by Elegance vs Lei Ying Lee
ASH mocks karate stuff, Lei throws a few Rising Crane kicks as ASH bails and then things slow down a little. But a Pump Kick, Sliding Kick and Low Dropkick cause ASH to cower and claim her tooth broke. It’s a bait to pull Lei into the turnbuckles and them get in a few stomps. Ash keeps Lei in the corner, Suplexes her ankles into the buckles and then Ash throws a few Booty Shots/Hit Attacks then starts a grounded stretch, Lei Headscissors her down, still sells the hips and ankles, but dodges and fires, combination strikes into the 10 Count Down Strikes. T-bone Suplex, into the pinfall, for only two.
Cheapshot into Running Meteora from ASH for two. Ash goes for the Miz Yes Kicks and Lei No Sells and asks for more. Gorgeous Capture Suplex into Thunder Struck and TKO with flair. My baby has a better finish now! Yay!
Mance Warner w/SDL vs Jobber
Hannifan cursing and being pissed at Trick for not even showing but is more entertaining than a squash match. Not that Mance’s offense is bad, but 2 out of 3 job matches is stupid.

Santino Marella & Arianna Grace vs Robert Stone & Victoria Crawford w/Tessa
Marella tries to tie up with Robbie, but he bails and tags out to Victoria so Arianna comes in and aside from Alicia Fox’s silliness, the tie up was decent with Arianna and Victoria. Tessa interferes and the Referee throws her out. Victoria comes back in and aside from a slight miscommunication with how Arianna does her punches, Alicia Fox is making her look…pretty good. Transition moves, okay brawling and Arianna looks amazing in her outfit.
Rob and Santino distract the referee and Victoria hits a Figure Four into her Northern Lights Suplex, only for 2. Arianna finally Back Body Drop to find the tag, Santino and Rob, Santino does his split dodge into the Standing Headbutt, Arianna Cross Body onto Victoria. Rob pulls out the ref, then shoves the ref into Santino, Santino into the steps and Arianna attack but Alicia and Lish, the fix is in, Arianna eats the pin.
International Championship: Steve Maclin (c) vs Matt Cardona
A few quick brawl moves, Shoulder Tackles, Strikes, Back Breakers, Cardona does get dumped out and eats a SCUD. Maclin bounces Cardona’s face off the apron and hits an Elbow off the apron to keep Cardona reeling, but a dodged tackle sends Maclin into the steps. Cardona tries to Piledriver Maclin on the ramp, but Back Drop counter, into commercial.
Formulaic commercial etiquette of Cardona still in control, throws Maclin into the ropes, Diving Shoulder Tackle lays both dudes out and they get up by 8. Fighting Spirit spot, Cardona hits ropes and gets hit by Maclin twice, Thesz Press, Ground and Pound, Back Elbow and Olympic Slam has Maclin rolling. Splash into Lariat for two. Maclin has been all gas no brakes. Cardona tries to take a few shortcuts that turns into a Straight Jacket Takedown. Cardona to the top, Maclin cuts him off, Superplex spot. 1-2-kick out!
Maclin goes topside for a Jar Headbutt, Cardona hits the ropes so Maclin crashes into the corner, 2 Reboots connect, the third gets caught, counter into Busaiku Knee, Jar Headbutt. In and out, Cardona uses the middle rope for the Low Blow, Killswitch from Cardona but Maclin kicks out. Cardona dodges and shoves Maclin towards the ref, he puts the brakes on, Radio Silence! 1-2-Kick out! Maclin catches a top rope move, Power Bomb, Corner Splash, Tree of Woe, Caught in the Crosshairs, KIA and Maclin retains!
Overall Score: 4.5/10
Boring paint by numbers show, no Trick, System has one move, Robert Stone is a scumbag, too long to introduce new girls, lots of throw away segments and Rosemary sets up YET ANOTHER Monster’s Ball match. These aren’t interesting when there’s one every 3 months. So we can have terrible Monster’s Ball matches quarterly, Barbed Wire Massacre and Clockwork Orange House of Fun…BUT NO LOCKDOWN!?
Go home TNA, you’re drunk.

The Strange Love Connection is the first of the top three to compete tonight, and while he has to hope for the others to fall, he still has to do his part and win. Will the Murder Machine make that all moot with another underhanded trick up his sleeve? Or can the star of DDT Pro make it to the finals?
Wait, Mao already turns the tables by pedaling in on his bike! He RAMS Sho down from behind! The fans fire up as Mao hurries to CLUB Sho down! Speaking of which, Kosei Fujita now makes his way out here to be face to face with Yoh. Yoh holds the ropes open for Fujita to step into the ring. In Ota, the best wind will blow.” Yoh drops the mic to leave it at that. Will that wind be the winds of change? Or will Yoh fail to bring down The Mighty Japanese Young Punk?
Here are the FINAL B Block standings!
YOH: 6-3, 12 points [FINALIST]
El Desperado: 6-3, 12 points [ELIMINATED]
MAO: 6-3, 12 points [ELIMINATED]
Taiji Ishimori: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
Robbie Eagles: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
SHO: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
Nick Wayne: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
Kevin Knight: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
Titan: 4-5, 8 points [ELIMINATED]
Ryusuke Taguchi: 3-6, 6 points [ELIMINATED]
My Thoughts:
A great night to wrap round nine and therefore the round robin portion. No repeat BOSJ finalists, which is actually great because now we’ve got a fresh match-up. Taguchi VS Knight was still a great match for not affecting outcomes, and Knight gets to return to AEW with a win. The flipside is Titan gets a win over Nick Wayne, I really do think it books itself, Nick VS Titan for the ROH World TV Championship on Grand Slam: Mexico. Christian Cage can even be condescending to Nick over how Nick didn’t make it to the finals, adding to that feud. Nick can beat Titan in the rematch, then get in Christian’s face to make a match for All In: Texas, or at least Supercard of Honor where ROH titles should be showing up anyway.
Great stuff with Mao and his team against Sho and the House of Torture. I was pleasantly surprised that Mao won, and I wonder if the House of Torture goes to a DDT Pro show to battle it out with Strange Love Connection. Mao winning also added great drama to the remaining matches, Despy VS Eagles was awesome stuff, probably the actual best match of the night. Yoh VS Taiji wasn’t quite as hot going by the crowd, but Yoh getting the win to shut the door on Despy was good. Yoh VS Fujita will be great, a bit hard to call, but that makes it fun.
My Score: 9/10
