Trick Williams arrives!
He steps inside the building and you can already hear the fans chanting. Cedric Alexander says they talked about this last week, what’s going on? Trick says he appreciates the advice but he isn’t stopping until he gets his title back. He wants Ethan Page! Trick storms off, and Ashante THEE Adonis steps in. Ashante told Cedric it was a waste of time. Trick ain’t trying to hear you. Yeah, Cedric sees that. And with that, Trick’s music hits as he steps out on stage! The fans chant “WHOOP DAT TRICK!” as Trick goes to the ring. Trick grabs a mic and gets fired up! He has the music cut, and he says let’s talk about it.
Since losing his championship, Trick ain’t been the same. He feels he lost a piece of himself. So much so, he talked to some OGs, some guys he trusts, and it all led to one thing: Ethan Page will see Trick again. And Trick won’t stop ’til he gets the title back, believe that. Wait, now Cedric makes his own entrance? Cedric tells Trick that he didn’t want to do this out in front of the world, but the advice Trick asked for came from a good place. Trick says he already said he appreciates Cedric, and he also already said he wants that title back. Cedric says as someone who won a title in WWE, he wants to help Trick from making mistakes.
Cedric wants Trick to not be blinded by his passion. Trick says he’s never been blinded by that. But then Ashante makes his entrance and says he just said, Trick ain’t trying to hear him! Trick tells Ashante, he doesn’t even know why he’s here. If he’s stirring the pot, they don’t need that, he should just go back to SmackDown. Ashante says nobody is a cook, he’s just picking up the ball Trick dropped. Trick says he’s never dropped a ball. And even when Ashante had a whole group with him, he couldn’t get the ball of the ground in the first place. How’d it go? HIT~ ROW~! The fans echo that back.
Ashante brushes that off but Cedric says right there is what he’s talking about. Trick is letting his emotions get the better of him. How is that going to get him the NXT Championship? And Ashante, just go to the back, let Cedric handle this. Ashante says no matter how much wisdom Cedric gives, it won’t click for Trick. Right now in the ring, Trick is in third place. Trick’s never been third once in his life! Listen to the people! Trick isn’t gonna stop until he gets gold back. Cedric says hold up, hold up. The fans are a little loud, but that sounds like Trick thinks he’s better than Cedric. Is that what he heard?
Cedric has been respectful but all Trick’s doing is disrespecting him back. So how about they do this tonight? Trick is mistaking kindness for weakness, and Cedric’s about to show him the difference! The fans fire up for that! Trick tells Cedric that he said what he said, so it’s on. The fans chant “WHOOP DAT TRICK!” but Ashante says another Trick decision, another Trick mistake. Trick DECKS Ashante! Ashante stands up, Trick DECKS him again! And again! Then Trick LARIATS Ashante up and out! Refs rush out, they bring Ashante away, but Cedric and Trick talk smack. Will Cedric show everyone that he is still PRIMED?
Ethan Page arrives.
And standing by the door are Tyson Dupont & Tyriek Igew. Tyson says Oro pinned the champ, that’s crazy! Ethan asks if they’re serious. Of course they are. Or is All Ego all mad? No, Ethan said last week that none of this bothers him. Well luckily there wasn’t a ref or it’d be a short title reign. Luckily it wasn’t official at all! And it’s wild to Ethan that they’re okay with the champ thinking they’re not so bright. Ohh~! Hey, Champ, it’s okay to be embarrassed. Y’know what? They’re not worth Ethan’s time. Ty & Ty say the champ’s a bit sensitive. Will All Ego learn to have some thicker skin around here?

Briggs goes up the corner, takes aim, but Jensen SMACKS Briggs with a kendo stick! Briggs sits on the corner, and Jensen puts the can around him! Briggs is in a Steel Tree of Woe, and Jensen runs corner to corner! Jensen uses the steel steps to get air, and he DROPKICKS Briggs in the can! Jensen throat chops Briggs! Jensen LARIATS Briggs and Briggs clips the hood!! Jensen then CATAPULT GUILLOTINES Briggs into the hood!! The fans rally as Jensen crawls over and grabs a kendo stick. Jensen wants Booker T to notice. Three strikes? Well here’s ONE SMACK for Briggs! Here’s TWO SMACKS for Briggs! And here’s THREE!!

Jensen BOOTS back, then DOUBLE BOOTS take both men down! But both men hurry to grab kendo sticks! They DOUBLE SMACK!! Both men fall and the fans are thunderous again! “This is Awesome!” but Jensen grabs that white chair! Jensen brings it over, but Briggs DECKS him first! Briggs has the white chair, and now Jensen asks for mercy!? And then Shawn Spears appears!? Briggs storms over to Spears, saying this is on him!

Axiom congratulates The Rascalz on their win against Gallus and Wes says that was good. It’s great to have his friends by his side. Zach says sometimes, you gotta look to your past to move forward. And Trey says speaking of the past, did MSK ever lose the tag titles? Hmm… Let’s check on that. Wes says nope, they did not. Frazer says yeah, that would’ve been an insane match, right? Would have? Don’t talk like it can’t still happen, because it can still happen.
Wes says y’now what? It could even happen tonight. Axiom & Frazer say sure. But who sits out? It is three Rascalz. Well it is the Rascalz Reunion, so it’s all three. Oh, Six Man Tag then? Didn’t Axiom just get done telling Frazer that was all a distraction? Yeah, but it turned out to be okay, so Axiom figures he could try. Now they’re arguing about the tables turning… Well, will they be able to turn that around and find a third man to take on Wes, Zach & Trey?
The NXT Women’s Division watches film on Stephanie Vaquer.
La Primera’s string of headbutts on Isla Dawn for the WWE Live event in Mexico City has them all very impressed. And that crossbody, too. Sol Ruca says Stephanie looks incredible. Lola Vice and Karmen Petrovic agree, Stephanie will only make NXT stronger. But will she be considered a “rookie” like the rest of them? Fallon & Jacy consider anyone new here “a rookie.” But speaking of Isla, have she and Alba defended those tag titles since winning them? Doesn’t seem like it. But they were talking about showing up on SmackDown this Friday.
Lash Legend walks in with Jakara Jackson to say hold up, wait a minute! Before any of them get to thinking up some bright ideas, whenever those titles are defended, it’ll be against Miss Jackson & The Bougie Bully, okay? Yeah, sure… When was the last time they won as a team, though? Now, Karmen may not have had the same partner back then, but she did pin Jacy & Jazmyn. Oh, we keeping score now? Yes, because it’s a good point. Jakara says she and Lash are gonna put Sol & Karmen in their place tonight. Oh, we’ll see. Lash & Jakara excuse themselves to go watch Oro’s match. But will the Meta Four be literally speechless when they get their souls snatched?

Hank ‘n’ Tank walk ‘n’ talk.
When it comes to “big flavor win,” that’s the Great American Bash being a two week event, on SyFy Network! That’s huge. Two huge shows. Wait, don’t say it if you don’t mean it, Hank. Oh he means it. Picture this: The bodacious belly boys bringing the honk honk to the party. Yeah, but how? Oh, Hank has ideas. Let’s walk. And then we see Axiom & Frazer still arguing. Chase U talks backstage.
Andre Chase & Riley Osborne tell Duke Hudson there is no reason to hang his head in shame. Duke may have lost to Oba Femi, but there will be gold back in Chase U soon enough. Duke agrees, he hopes Thea Hail does better against Roxanne Perez than he did against Oba. Riley says less of that. Duke smashed it! He took Oba to the limit and made Chase U proud. Same as Thea will against Roxie, and as she will in this interview.
We turn to the TV in the room, and Thea sits with Kelly Kincaid. Oh, new Chase U merch? Ridge Holland steps in and says yes, new shirt for the new champ! And they’re available on WWE Shop already. Christmas in July! Oh, oh, here goes. Words from the future champ right here!
Kelly thanks Thea for sitting down with her. A year ago, at last year’s Great American Bash, Thea went for the women’s title against Tiffany Stratton. How will Thea handle this year’s opportunity differently? Thea says she feels like a year ago, Chase U would’ve thrown her a pep rally to boost her confidence. And now, she doesn’t need it. She’s grown a lot, and they trust her to do things on her own, and that’s cool. Speaking of Chase U, Ridge was a huge part in Thea being given this chance. How has having Ridge around been for Chase U? Ridge is a human, like all of us. People judged him because he isn’t perfect, and Thea saw herself in that.
And Ridge empowers Thea to be herself. She let him in as a friend, and because of that, Chase U learned to let Ridge in. And with that, Thea gained confidence in herself, and feels they all know her now. Kelly says yeah, this feels like such a different side of Thea. For one, she’s very calm right now. There’s all this buzz going into the Bash, but what would winning mean to her? Thea isn’t trying to win the title for herself. She’s winning for Chase U, and for all the girls like her who were counted out or picked last. And while Thea’s only 20, last year, she was 19, facing Tiffany, the biggest mountain to climb. Now, Roxie is that seemingly impossible obstacle.
But Thea can’t control those things. She can only control herself. So while Roxie and the rest of the world is wondering what the NXT Women’s Division will look like in the near future, Thea is focused on becoming the NXT Women’s Champion! Thea is calm, cool and collected, but will she be the one to conquer the seemingly unstoppable Prodigy?

Dunne gets in the ring to BOOT Trick down, then DRAGON STOMPS away on him! The fans boo more, but Dunne lets off with one more STOMP! Dunne tells Trick he still hasn’t figured it out! Another STOMP, and Dunne stands over Trick. Another shrug from Dunne, is the former NXT UK Champion looking to take that title shot for his own?
Robert Stone and Stevie Turner argue.
Ethan Page walks over and asks if he can talk to Ava Raine. Stone says sorry, Stevie wasted all of Ava’s time because Stevie doesn’t shut up. Stevie says that’s a lie. What can Stevie do for the champ? Stone says to address him properly as THE NXT Champion. Ethan says he just wants to get rid of that pest, Oro. Yeah, don’t worry, they all saw Ethan beat Dante Chen and not the other part. Stevie, do not lie to the champion! Everyone watches NXT, so everyone knows what happened. The world is trending- The world!? Stevie tries not to laugh at Stone stepping in it, but Stone says Ethan should be grateful that he’s lucky to be champion.
Ethan is lucky to be champion? N-NO, they, uh… NXT is lucky that Ethan is their champion. Stevie says what Stone’s getting at is, could you just imagine if Oro Mensah was NXT Champion? Hypothetically. Stone will pass the word along that Ethan thanked Ava. Stevie will doubly pass it along. Ethan sighs and leaves, the assistants to the GM continue to argue, will anything even get done around here?
Kelani Jordan talks with prospects backstage.
One brings up Tatum Paxley’s post. She is using dolls to represent herself and… Kelani? And then Wendy Choo walks in from the other room… What is going on here? Kelani isn’t sure but she’s getting creeped out. Then Ashante hobbles in and the others help him walk. Is he going to be okay? Yeah, he’ll be aight. Ashante winks to the camera as he leaves with two ladies under his arms. One way or another, is Ashante gonna have some fun in NXT?

The Surfer and the Blackbelt were told they’d be “handled” by Meta Four, so here’s their chance! Will the Bougie Bully & Miss Jackson back up their talk with actions? Or will these “rookies” ride a wave of momentum right past them?

So how about you defend them against the brightest stars int he galaxy? Next week, at the Great American Bash!” Mic drop, will SyFy see the wicked witches take on Jackson & Legend?
Trick Williams talks with HBK!
Shawn Michaels tries to calm Trick down but Trick says he’s trying to get back to the NXT Championship. But best believe, if Pete Dunne drops him again, Trick’s gonna bust Pete’s ass! HBK says okay, he’s got this. Trick heads out, and then Roxanne Perez storms in! Why does Thea Hail get the special interview and not her?! Is it because Thea’s some scrappy little underdog? Roxie is sick of that sob story, and she’s sick of not getting what she deserves as champion! HBK says okay, but- Roxie storms off, and HBK has us go to break. Will he and Ava have to talk about all the chaos and drama going on around here?
Joe Hendry speaks.
After a recap of his great appearance last week, Hendry himself says, “With every passing week, more and more of the planet starts to believe. Believe in Joe Hendry. But becoming a social media sensation doesn’t just happen over night.” Hendry has been surprising his fans all across the world, their reactions being a big part of the buzz. Sure, Hendry’s popularity has really caught fire thanks to NXT, but he’s been doing this for 11 YEARS, just waiting for his time to shine. He always knew he had the kill and athleticism to succeed, but in 2024, how do you stand out? Easy: create an image that is impossible to escape.
Say his name and he appears…! Becoming the most talked about man in pro-wrestling has of course upset some people, such as Gallus, but don’t think that his sudden rise to fame was an accident. After putting in 10,000 plus hours mastering the ring, the studio, and social media, there is no one left on Planet Earth that hasn’t seen his turn to camera and smiling face. The public couldn’t get enough, and #IBelieveInJoeHendry soon took the fourth spot on the British music charts and beyond. The entire world is waving their arms from side to side with him, and it is his life’s work to become 250 pounds of inspiration.
So for the first time in NXT history, we will witness one of Hendry’s world famous live concerts. Bring your best singing voices and let’s remind the WWE Universe and beyond why you believe in Joe Hendry.
NXT Media catches up with Gallus.
The reporter asks what they feel about- Joe Coffey stops them there. He already knows, they wanna talk about Joe Hen- Mark stops his brother, They can’t say his name. But see, Gallus didn’t like that guy then, they don’t like him now, and Wolfgang adds that that Muppet needs “a right kicking” from the Gallus firm. So how’s about this, Joe? Next week, Coffey VS Hendry, Great American Bash! Mark spots a poster and says he isn’t so sure now. Joe Hendry, live in concert on NXT? Coffey is FURIOUS! No one wants to hear this garbage! Wait, who put all these posters on their car?! This fraud has done it now!
Cartoonish as Gallus’ reaction is, will they look to ruin everyone’s fun when Joe Hendry comes back to NXT?
Ethan Page returns to Ava’s office.
He wants to knock on the door but then spots a ref. Ethan calls the ref over and says refs represent law and order around here, right? So this whole thing with Oro, that doesn’t count, right? No, it wasn’t an official match, so technically it doesn’t. Ethan says good! He’s coming with Ethan. Ethan brings the ref along, but is he starting to unravel over this Oro issue?
Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn respond via tweets.
Isla says, “The Brightest Stars in the Galaxy are about to be dimmed. Lash and Jakara, consider your challenge accepted.” Alba adds, “See you ladies next week at The Bash.” The WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions are coming back to NXT, but will they be leaving still the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions?
Ethan and his ref are now ringside.
The fans boo but Ethan says they need to address this whole 1-2-3 business. What Oro did last week does NOT count, okay? It was NOT official, it is null and void! And for the record, let’s make this very, very clear: none of this bothers him! Even so, the fans chant “You Got Pinned!” Ethan says ignore them, they’re ignorant. Now, referee, as a licensed WWE official, when Oro attacked last week, was he or any of his colleagues here to make the count? The ref says, as he just said backstage, it was not a legitimate match so the count wasn’t official. SEE!? Ethan was right! He was RIGHT! No one was in the ring to count 1-2-3, so it doesn’t count~!
Honestly, refs are usually pains in the ass, but this guy’s alright. But then Oro runs in here! He rolls Ethan, the ref counts, Oro pins the champ!! Ethan is losing his mind but fans chant “ONE TWO THREE! ONE TWO THREE!” Will Ethan ever live this down? Or is there only one way for him to finally put this to rest?
The D’Angelo Family talks backstage.
And look who it is! The men of the hour! Tony didn’t think Charlie had it in him. Not so clean, is he? But Tony respects it. Don’t flatter Charlie, he still wants the Heritage Cup. Well, Tony is a generous man. The Olympics are coming up, so Tony will give the NQCC’s Olympian a shot. Who? Tavion? Yes, Tavion! Luca points out that Tavion represented our great country in the 2020 games. Greco-Roman wrestling, even got himself a few wins. Unlike the one who got whooped by that girl, Kendall. Myles is flustered, but Tony says see you next week, Tavion. Tavion says he definitely will. Will The Don check off another of the NQCC? Or is Tavion about to take the Cup to new heights?
Six Man Tag: The Rascalz VS Axiom, Nathan Frazer & Je’Von Evans!
Wes Lee, Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel have reunited and it feels so good! A big win against Gallus last Tuesday, a big win over the No Quarter Catch Crew as part of TNA’s Slammiversary, this reunion tour is just getting started! Will it continue as we approach the Great American Bash? Or will the NXT Tag Team Champions & Young OG show just what #NeverSlowDown is all about?
NXT returns as Frazer & Axiom make their entrance, followed by Je’Von’s. The trios sort out and Axiom starts against Trey. They circle, tie up, and Axiom uses a chinbar to wrangle Trey. Trey fights up, wrenches, and headlocks back. Axiom flips up and over to facelock Trey. Axiom shifts to wrap Trey in a straitjacket but Trey fights up to arm-drag free. Things speed up, Trey catches Axiom with a reverse wheelbarrow and rolls him down, only for Axiom to kip up. Axiom arm-drags but Trey handsprings, only for Axiom to DROPKICK! The fans cheer, Axiom tags Frazer and whips Trey. Trey reverses but Axiom reels him in for an IRON OCTOPUS!
Frazer gets moving and he builds up a lot of speed, to DROPKICK Trey down! The fans fire up, Trey goes to a corner, but Frazer CHOPS! Frazer whips, Trey reverses but Frazer goes up and over and handsprings away. Trey runs up, sweeps the legs and basement dropkicks! Cover, ONE, but Trey brings Frazer up. Trey whips, Frazer reverses but Trey holds ropes. Zach tags in, Trey drop toeholds Frazer into a SUPERKICK! Zach sunset flips, Frazer rolls through, but Zach tags Wes. Trey atomic drops Frazer, Wes dropkicks a leg out, and Zach Last Chancery! Wes & Trey DOUBLE BASEMENT DROPKICK!
The fans fire up while Frazer flounders away. But Je’Von tags in, and the fans rally for the Young OG as he circles with Wes. Wes whips, Je’Von reverses then hurdles. Wes front flips over Je’Von, sidesteps then hurdles, but Je’Von stops the monkey flip to stand Wes up. Je’Von springboards but Wes gets under! Je’Von ducks the knees, then BOUNCY RANAS! Wes tumbles and the fans fire up! Je’Von DROPKICKS Wes down and the fans fire up again. Je’Von drags Wes up, whips him to the corner, but Wes blocks! Wes CHOPS and fans “WOO~!” Wes brings Je’Von up but Je’Von ROCKS Wes!
Wes ROCKS Je’Von, Je’Von ROCKS Wes! The haymakers fly, Je’Von JUMP PUNCHES! The fans fire up, and Wes HEEL KICKS! Wes whips Je’Von to the RSCL corner, runs in, but Trey moves as Je’Von tosses Wes up and out! Wes ENZIGIRIS back, slingshots and DROPKICKS! Zach tags in, runs up, BRONCO BUSTER! Zach adds a few extra bounces for the bouncy Je’Von! Axiom storms in but Wes SUPERKICKS! Frazer storms in and dodges Wes. Wes blocks a kick but not the ENZIGIRI! Trey runs up but Frazer CHOPS! Trey kips up to ENZIGIRI! Axiom is up, he dodges Trey, but DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSES take them both out!
Zach checks his boys, but Je’Von rolls him up! TWO and Zach runs up. Je’Von dodges, comes back, Zach ducks so Je’Von FLIES out onto everyone else! The fans are thunderous and Zach is stunned! But then Zach goes up and up and ASAI MOONSAULTS onto Team NXT! The fans fire up with Zach, and NXT goes picture in picture.
The Rascalz regroup, drag Je’Von up and in, then bring him to the corner. Zach CHOPS, then runs up to UPPERCUT! Tag to Wes and he runs in to UPPERCUT! Wes tags Trey, then snapmares Je’Von so Tre can slingshot SENTON! Tag to Zach, he slingshot SENTONS! Tag to Wes and he slingshot KNEE-TONS! Cover, TWO! Je’Von toughs it out but Wes drags him up. Wes throws body shots, then whips Je’Von to ropes. Wes ELBOWS Je’Von down, covers, TWO! Wes keeps close to Je’Von, brings him around, and tags Zach. They bring Je’Von around, whip and DOUBLE ELBOW! Then they split the wishbone!
Je’Von sits up, MSK DOUBLE BASEMENT DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Zach keeps Je’Von down with a chinlock, but Je’Von endures the grind. NXT returns to single picture and the fans rally up. Je’Von fights but Zach leans on the hold. Je’Von stands, throws hands, but Zach CLUBS him down. Zach whips Je’Von to a corner, Je’Von goes up and over! Zach still BOOTS first! Zach goes up, leaps, CROSSBODY! But Je’Von rolls through! The bouncy turns into power, and he POWERSLAMS! Hot tag to Frazer, and he springboards to AX HANDLE! Then STANDING SHOOTING STAR! Cover, TWO!
Frazer checks the count but the count was fair, so he brings Zach around. Frazer drops an elbow, tags Axiom, and Axiom stomps Zach. Axiom clamps on a chinlock, the fans rally up, and Axiom traps Zach in a cobra clutch. Zach endures, fights up, but Axiom whips him away. Zach ELBOWS Frazer, BOOTS Axiom, and hurries for his corner! Axiom waistlocks to anchor Zach, then slips on a SLEEPER! Axiom drags Zach down, the fans rally up, and Zach fights up. Zach pries the hold open to ELBOW BREAKER! But Axiom LARIATS! Tag to Frazer, GAMANGIRI! Then GERMAN SUPLEX! Tag to Je’Von, TRIPLE SUPERKICKS take Zach down! Cover, TWO!!
Je’Von is frustrated but the fans rally up. Je’Von clamps on with a straitjacket stretch of his own, and Zach endures again. Zach fights up, pries the hold open, but Je’Von trips him by a leg! Zach hops up, but Je’Von ducks the enzigiri! Zach still UP KICKS! Axiom grabs a leg for an ANKLE LOCK! Zach hops up and rolls, and he sends Axiom into Je’Von! Frazer tags in, springboards, into a JUMP KNEE!! Zach and Frazer are down, and the fans rally up again! Zach and Frazer crawl, hot tags to Je’Von and Wes! Wes CLOBBERS Je’Von, CLOBBERS him again, and then sweeps the legs! Je’Von avoids the stomps but Wes fires a strike fest!
Wes snapmares Je’Von to DROPKICK! The fans fire up, Wes runs in and ROCKS Je’Von! And a SUPERKICK! GAMANGIRI! Tag to Trey, Axiom runs in, but Wes & Trey get him first! KICK after KICK, BUZZSAW and DOUBLE STOMP! Je’Von runs up, into a clinch! SCORPION KICK to LIGHTNING SPIRAL! Je’Von tumbles and hot tags Frazer! Frazer dodges Trey to waistlock, Trey elbows free and mule kicks a leg, to then BACKFLIP DROPKICK! The fans fire up and Trey tags Zach. Zach tags Wes, the Rascalz coordinate! Wes flips into the RSCL TRIPLE DROPKICK! Wes covers, TWO!! Frazer survives and Wes grits his teeth.
The fans rally for the “RAS~CALZ~!” Wes drags Frazer up but Frazer kicks him away. Wes storms back up, YANKS Frazer up, but Frazer lands on his feet to PELE! Hot tag to Je’Von, Trey also tags in. Je’Von springboards to FLYING LARIAT! Zach gets in, ducks a kick, but Je’Von HEEL KICKS and ENZIGIRIS! Wes returns, Je’Von dodges and NEURALIZER KICKS! The fans are thunderous and Je’Von runs at Trey. Trey ENZIGIRIS, SUPERKICKS and goes up to QUEBRADA! Je’Von gets clear to go up, up and OG CUTTER!! The fans are thunderous and Je’Von rises up! “This is Awesome!” as Je’Von finds Trey and aims.
Je’Von runs in, Trey BOOTS him, but Je’Von DROPKICKS! Trey is stuck up top, Frazer tags in and then tags Axiom. Axiom goes up to get Trey, for the SUPER SPANISH FLY!! Frazer goes up to PHOENIX SPLASH!! Cover, MSK BREAKS IT! The fans are thunderous as all six men are down! The teams regroup, but Frazer SUPERKICKS Zach! Wes ROLLING KICKS Frazer! Je’Von HEEL KICKS Wes! Zach springboards and FLYING CUTTERS Je’Von!! Axiom and Trey find each other, and the forearms start flying! The fans rally, Axiom ROCKS Trey! Trey dropkicks legs out and Wes tags in! Sunset flip, into a CATAPULT SUPERKICK!
Axiom falls back, Trey goes up, DOUBLE STOPM BACKBFREAKER! HANDPRING KICK takes out Axiom & Je’Von! Tag to Zach, for the FIRE AND FLAME PUSH-SAULT!! Wes then FLIES out onto Frazer & Je’Von while Zach covers, Rascalz win!!
Winners: The Rascalz, by pinfall
Another incredible win for the reunited Rascalz, and perhaps even bigger is that Zach just pinned one of the NXT Tag Team Champions! Could these must-see kids be fighting to get those tag titles back? All six men stand together in the ring, and they all shake hands in respect.
Ava Raine talks with a ref.
She knows a lot has been going on, but- In steps Ethan Page. And he says whatever this is, put a pin in it, because he is done! He needs Oro, wants Oro, in a match! Ava says hi, how are you, Ethan? But what changed his mind? Because he was very against this idea last week. What changed is he has had it up to HERE…! And someone like Ethan shouldn’t have to deal with something like this. Ethan wants to put an end to this, and he’ll even put the title on the line! Okay then! A contract will be drafted, they will sign it next week, so that on week two of the Great American Bash, it will be Ethan VS Oro for the NXT Championship. Ethan says good, but is he playing right into Oro’s hands?
My Thoughts:
Another great NXT, but also another jam packed episode. It also had go-home vibes given Great American Bash is the next two weeks. Eddy VS Lexis was good but rather quick, and with Lexis attacking Eddy after losing, we’re definitely escalating this towards something bigger. Very good promo from Chase U to help set up Thea’s interview promo, which was a good promo. Thea seemed a bit nervous about her lines, but maybe that was how she was supposed to sound. Roxie getting upset and complaining to HBK was a rather quick bit, but it doesn’t feel like Roxie is losing the title just yet. With the hype behind Stephanie Vaquer, it’s probably her beating Roxie at No Mercy.
Speaking of, good plug for Stephanie while also getting us to a tag match. Lash & Jakara get a good win off of Sol & Karmen, and I’m a little surprised Alba & Isla are going to give them the tag title match. At the same time, that makes GAB bigger so they might as well. Alba & Isla still have a segment with Bianca & Jade this Friday, that’ll surely set up a later title match, so I’m pretty sure Alba & Isla retain against Lash & Jakara. A little surprised we didn’t get any Fallon, Jacy & Jazmyn, but I’m sure we’ll get plenty of them the next couple weeks. Six Woman Tag of Fallon, Jacy & Jazmyn VS Sol, Karmen & Lola is definitely week two of GAB.
This story with Wren and NQCC is still really interesting, but at least Wren’s getting into the role of blackmailing Dempsey. And in some way, it is funny that Dempsey trying to do things like Tony D has backfired on him pretty bad. But I have a feeling Dempsey comes around and accepts Wren as a true member of NQCC, Wren can be their counterpart to Rizzo for some Mixed Tag type matches. And Tony VS Tavion next week will be some good stuff for the Heritage Cup, and I would think Tony retains. I just want him to finally win by knockout. That’s a thing allowed by the rules but they haven’t had the guts to do it.
Very good promo from Joe Hendry, and very entertaining stuff from Gallus, but having them both is a little redundant. Gallus helps us know Hendry is having a concert next week, but we already knew that after Hendry told us. I would’ve just done one or the other, go to next week with the concert, and then Gallus does something to motivate Joe VS Joe for week two. That No Disqualification match was awesome stuff, but Spears’ white chair was certainly a Chekhov’s Gun level foreshadowing. Not only was it going to come into play, Spears himself was going to show up and spur Jensen on. Spears and Jensen are all but officially working together now, things are going to get even more interesting from here.
And really good stuff tonight with this growing NXT Championship story. One more redundant detail here with Cedric and Ashante talking about Trick backstage then talking with him on stage, we could’ve just had only the stuff in the ring and we’d get the same story. Trick VS Cedric was a great match, but that first half was maybe a bit too fast for both of them. That backflip Trick “avoids” was really more a botch. But great win for Trick, and Dunne going after Trick was only a little shocking after how we’ve seen Dunne turn Heel on Raw. But Trick VS Dunne is still going to be awesome stuff.
Oro gets a good win off Ashante, and Ethan getting closer and closer to snapping was some good stuff. Ethan VS Oro is going to be some great stuff for GAB week 2, but I would think Ethan retains. Trick making his way back up to a rematch with Ethan might seem a bit obvious but it’s also logical. No Mercy can be Trick’s last chance, so that if he loses, Trick moves on to main roster. Just not sure which brand, though. Raw’s got a lot going on, and SmackDown does have Carmelo Hayes, but I’m not sure they’d restart Trick VS Melo as a feud over there…
My Score: 8.8/10

Andrew’s TNA Live iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 5.1.2025
The third LIVE iMPACT! of the year! First was really good, second wasn’t terrible…what’s this one give us?

We get another Live episode from the campus of UC Irvine, hence why the show didn’t start until 10pm Bianca Belair time (est). The live episodes have been pretty good so far this year, so even though the TV episodes have kinda sucked the last month or so…there’s a glimmer of hope tonight.
Sure we’re gonna open with “hearing from Joe Hendry” because of course we are. But it’s also a live crowd and the fans still embrace the gimmick even if consuming the product weekly is wearing the gimmick thin for me personally. Let’s get to the show and see if we see Trick, Dark State, or any surprises.
Oh it looks like Wentz is gonna get his title shot tonight for the X Division title! That’s a little unexpected.
The boys from the Treehouse are FIRED UP! @ZacharyWentz challenges @TheMooseNation for the X-Division Title TONIGHT!

Ratings:
- Mike Santana vs Isaiah Moore: Santana wins via Running Powerbomb – SQUASH
- X Division Championship: Moose (c) w/The System vs Zachary Wentz w/Trey Miguel: Moose retains via Lights Out – *** 1/2
- Maggie Lee vs Jody Threat w/Dani Luna: Jody wins via Pop Shove It – *
- KC Navarro w/AJ Francis vs Leon Slater: Leon wins via Swanton 450 – ** 1/2
- The Kaiba Boys & Frankie Kazarian vs Joe Hendry & The Hardy Boyz: Nic wins via Danger Zone – ***
Results:
So today is Hendry’s birthday, so the crowd pops and sings Happy Birthday, Hendry with a fairly stock standard babyface champion promo, calls out Trick, and Trick’s music plays but Trick has a tron message since he’s got a Battle Royal to prepare for. So basic steps, but nothing egregious.
Sami is called to the back by Santino and SDL & Mance show up, and they seemingly squash their issue “I don’t like ya, but I respect ya” kind of style. I’m just glad we get away from it since the feud kinda sucked. They tend to drag bad things out, like Kon versus PCO…awful.
Mike Santana vs Isaiah Moore
Enhancement talent match, Moore tries to start fast but his offense is slow. Everything he does looks like its in slow motion and aside from a dodge and flip here or there, Santana beats him easily. Outline in Chalk and then a Running Powerbomb, and its over.
After the match Santana cuts a choppy promo because the mic sucked, but it sounds like he’s setting his sights on Hendry and hopefully someone stops that. No one wants a Babyface vs Babyface title match, especially since TNA stories are written like 4 year olds with half eaten crayons. So we need someone to get in the way of Santana quick or things just won’t be good, that’s not even a jaded assumption, that’s just the facts of how the last few years have gone.
Maclin comes out to address his title defense and he gets mugged by the Northern Armoury on the way down the ramp. EY continues with the Dump Matsumoto tribute and uses the steel chain to beat the hell out of Maclin, choke him and then crucify him against the ropes. Just a typical beating segment to force the angle forward even though the protagonist has been winning the bulk of the interactions.

X Division Championship: Moose (c) w/The System vs Zachary Wentz w/Trey Miguel
Wentz starts quick, Sole Butts, Enzuigiris, perches and Moose tries a Go To Hell, but Wentz continues the speed kills idea. Connects with a flurry of strikes, Moose powders and Wentz hits a Tornillo, does the Rascalz pose into the camera and we go to commercial. Back from commercial we go to paint by numbers commercial break where Moose is in control after managing to knock Wentz off the turnbuckle at some point, but after eating a few haymakers Wentz fires, PK, Sole Butt, Stomp, Triangle Moonsault and Wentz is rolling again! He throws Moose back in, another Tornillo this time from the corner and only a two count.
Wentz wants to fly, but Moose gets up, Leap Frog in Moose catching him in a Pop-Up Powerbomb, but only for two! Lights Out attempt, but Cradle Counter, kick, Double Leg Cradle, kick, Moose gets up, Escalara Crossbody, into a Kip Up, Looks for the Jacknife but CODE RED COUNTER from Wentz, but only a two count! Wentz tries to grab Moose, Moose grabs the tights to Dart Wentz into the buckles. Moose tries Lights Out again, X Factor counter form Wentz! SPIRAL TAP from Wentz but again, only a 2 count! UFO Cutter, but Moose shoves him away, Wentz tries to gather himself but Lish grabs his foot just long enough for Moose to finally hit Lights Out and retains.
Oh God it’s Deaner out to continue this sob story angle about his contract is expiring tonight. I hope it actually does, Jesus I can’t tolerate him. He’s the embodiment of cringe. Deaner must have grabbed the wrong script that said Dreamer, because this is some sappy useless idiot stuff. I hate everything about this sad sack crap, and now Santino’s music plays, he plays into the sad thing because of course he does he’s a goofy babyface. He said he can’t give a new contract, but he can extend it. Deaner will get a match at Under Siege versus Eddie Edwards. Robert Stone’s music kicks in! Robbie E and Alicia Fox are in the building because the higher ups are putting Santino Under Review and Victoria is getting a random title match at Under Siege. This was at least an interesting wrinkle.
Tessa Blanchard is already a fan of @MrStoneWWE! @milanmiracle

Maggie Lee vs Jody Threat w/Dani Luna
Jody starts quick, a few Elbows, Thesz Presses, Ground and Pound, looks for her German Suplex off the ropes but Maggie holds on, Back Thrust Kick finally gives out Elegance Giant some momentum. A few well placed strikes, running Knee Strike in the corner, Bow and Arrow Submission, but Jody flips it around for a pinfall. Maggie kicks out, and Jody fires up with some slow blocks against bad punches, Jody goes for Cringe Kojima style chops, pulls off the Knees to the back into the German Suplex. Jody wants Pop Shove It, but Maggie claws the eyes, Jody perches and Maggie crotches her and then hits a Tower of London for two! Jody fires again, quick strike Lariats in the corner, Pop Shove It and Jody wins.
KC Navarro w/AJ Francis vs Leon Slater
Leon and KC change directions, dodge, and dodge, and continue to change angles. KC shows off, so a Kick to the face rocks him and then Leon starts putting some offense together. KC gets knocked out of the ring, Leon throws him into a post, KC manages a small counter, tries to throw Leon back in the ring and Leon Tiger Feints back out to drop KC down. Leon throws KC in, climbs the ropes and AJ starts to interfere but the ref sees him, ejects him and a Satellite DDT from KC gives him the chance to try and choke out Leon, but Leon drives him back into the corner, rope runs, Jump Kick into Final Cut for a two count!
KC powders, Leon goes for the Over the Post Dive, but KC moves. Leon lands his on his feet, KC is saying he’s too smart, gets cold cocked, thrown back in and Leon hits the Swanton 450 for the win.
This makes sense because they want to push Leon, but aside from flips he’s useless. KC has a great personality, great skillset and more than just flips. They want to Leon to become ‘the youngest X Division champ’ but I couldn’t be less interested in him.
The Kaiba Boys & Frankie Kazarian vs Joe Hendry & The Hardy Boyz
They bring back the Hendry Boyz mashup music for their entrance, which is actually pretty cool.
Kaz and Jeff start, but it breaks down immediately into all 6 men throwing hands, the babyfaces clear the ring and do the DELETE taunts…and commercial break. We come back from commercial and Matt is hitting Delete Headsmashes on Kaz, a Side Effect on Ryan and then hits the Extreme Elbow but only for two. Matt wants the Twist of Fate, but he gets too close to the heel corner. Nic grabs the ref, Kaz hits a Guillotine Leg Drop, Ryan with the Russian Leg Sweep and then tags in Nic who gets a few pot shots before tagging in Kaz. Kaz and Matt trade a few shots, Kaz claws the face and the heels keep control.
Ryan tags in, isolation in the corner keeps Matt getting pummeled, quick tag back to Kaz and the Cravat has Matt grounded until the crowd tries to fire him up…but Kaz throws him down and Springboard Leg Drop gets two. Kaz mocks the Twist of Fate for Matt counters with the Side Russian, simultaneous tag, Nic and Jeff are in. Jeff signature hot tag offense, Leg Drop, Elbow, Kaz feeds into a Jawbreaker, Ryan eats a Twist, Nic tries something but eats the Mule Kick. Jeff wants a Twist on Nic, but he tries to fight out, but Matt comes in to help, Poetry in Motion, Side Effect into Splash from Jeff! Everyone’s in the ring, series of Hat Trick Sack of Shits!
Kaz tries to use a belt, Joe ducks it and Matt hits the Twist on Kaz. Hendry hits the Standing Ovation, looks to Jeff to hit a Swanton, but Trick Williams shows up and pulls out Hendry during the chaos and throws him into the steps! Jeff gets crotched, Matt gets taken out, Danger Zone on Jeff! Heels win and Trick and Joe are back in the ring…TRICK SHOT leaves Joe laying!
Overall Score: 6.75/10
This wasn’t the best episode, but it was entertaining and nothing really seemed to drag…which is more than I can say for most of the TNA episodes last month or so. Robbie E and Alicia Fox were unexpected, Trick makes sense, Cody Deaner needs to go away forever, Wentz burning his title shot already is frustrating. It’s frustrating because I like Wentz and if they’re gonna crown Leon, it better not be against Moose. Leon has no charisma, he’s tiny, suspension of disbelief can’t wish this away. So if it’s inevitable, just have Moose either cash in Option C or drop it to someone who isn’t the charisma vacuum known as Leon Slater.
But yeah, it was an inoffensive show. Not a lot of wrestling but enough segments that didn’t overstay their welcome and kept the show moving along at a decent clip. Nothing to write home about, but it planted seeds for Under Siege and had some things to genuinely be interested in.

My Thoughts:
A very good ROH clocking in at about 45 minutes, again the perfect length. A little surprised there wasn’t even one promo tonight, though. Not even something from Athena and Billie Starkz to keep us updated on how they feel after losing the Women’s Owen Hart Cup, or the relationship with them and Diamante. A Six Woman Tag of them and any random three you want would be for some fun stuff. But with how ROH Supercard of Honor is no longer tomorrow, May 2nd, and is now in July to be part of All In Texas Week, it is clear ROH takes a big backseat to literally everything and anything else Tony Khan takes interest in.
In fact, all the more reason Velvet VS Catalina should’ve been tonight’s main event. Maybe it wasn’t the best match it could’ve been, but it was still pretty good. To me, it should’ve been the main event because for one, they’re also supposed to build Grand Slam: Mexico, aka AEW, ROH & CMLL doing stuff together. While Frat House VS SAP was a good tag match, it was a typical move of the Heels using their numbers game to win. I am a little surprised Bandido showed up to make the save over The Dark Order, because uh duh, Dark Order and Frat House have been feuding, and then you already have an 8 Man Tag right there.
MXM TV of course won their match against Grillo & The Russell Twins, but I’m also a little surprised they didn’t call out The Sons of Texas, nor did The Sons of Texas call them out in return for last time. But again, Supercard being moved probably screwed up all the plans for this next week or two. We’ll just have to see if something big can happen in June. But back to a positive note, great to see Mina Shirakawa back now that she’s formally left Stardom. Leila Grey looked good even in defeat, but that doesn’t bode well for Leila in the Women’s Pure Championship. I believe that tournament only has five entries, I hope we get some good names for the last three spots. Mina doesn’t really fit the ROH Pure Division in my opinion, and Mina should really be back in AEW stories after Double or Nothing.
My Score: 8.7/10
