AEW “American” Championship Eliminator: MJF VS Kyle Fletcher!

The Wolf of Wrestling, who’s been more like a worm than anything, was willing to up the stakes on his match with the Aussie Arrow, but only so far. If “Koyle Fletcha” wins tonight, he’ll get another match that’s actually for the title, meaning the All In card could potentially change. Will The Protostar outshine this star-spangled narcissist? Or will he be just an example of what this “American Hero” is going to do to Will Ospreay?

Speaking of, Ospreay is watching backstage, both for keeping an eye on MJF but also keeping an eye on his best friend. Meanwhile, Don Callis is on commentary to say friends are fine, but they don’t compare to family and business. The bell rings and MJF bails out. The fans boo but MJF gets a mic and tells everyone to shut up! MJF wants to explain something to this “Australian Oaf.” Either he locks up like a real wrassler, or MJF leaves this Podunk town! The fans rally for Kyle, Kyle says fine, let’s grapple. MJF storms into the ring, then he kicks low! MJF suckers Kyle in and smirks, then drags Kyle up. But Kyle cradles! TWO!!

Kyle rolls though, lifts, but MJF Alabama Lifts free, to ALABAMA SLAM! And then a roll through to hammerlock and lift! PACKAGE DDT!! Cover, TWO?!?

The fans are thunderous again, but MJF is too tired to be upset! “This is Awesome!” as both men stir. MJF slowly sits up, stands and walks around. MJF taunts Kyle, scuffs him, but Kyle gets mad. MJF SLAPS Kyle, and tells him he’s just a wannabe Ospreay! Kyle stands and eggs MJF on! MJF winds up, but MJF SPITS at him! Now Kyle is pissed. Kyle asks what’s this about, but then Callis tosses in the screwdriver. Yes, THAT screwdriver. Kyle thinks it’s finally time, but he hesitates. Kyle wants to be better than that, eh throws the screwdriver away. But then MJF LOW BLOWS Kyle!! The fans boo but MJF hits the stance!

MJF runs up, KANGAROO KICK!! Then he drags Kyle up to suplex and BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, MJF wins!

Winner: MJF, by pinfall (denies Kyle Fletcher a title opportunity)

Callis tried to help in his own screwed up way, but it was perhaps the reason Kyle lost. MJF clears his path to Wembley, will he be able to focus on Will Ospreay?

Speaking of Ospreay, he wants to storm out there, but something is blocking his locker room door! He shoves harder and finds it’s road cases! Did MJF sabotage Ospreay like he did with the rental car a few weeks ago? Either way, Ospreay hurries from there to gorilla! MJF celebrates by having the ref raise his hand, and then MJF CLOBBERS the ref with the belt!! What kind of American Hero is that?! MJF waits on Kyle to get back up, and he has the Dynamite Diamond Ring on his finger! The fans cheer for Ospreay but the DIAMOND RING SHOT hits Kyle first! The fans boo but MJF says he is gonna do what Ospreay didn’t have the balls to do. MJF reels Ospreay in, tucks the arms, and shouts for the Tiger Driver! BUT HERE COMES OSPREAY!! Ospreay slides in, MJF bails right out! He might even get out of Winston-Salem! Ospreay calls for medical, Doc Sampson hurries in, and Callis tells Ospreay to give Kyle space. Kyle regains consciousness, Ospreay explains about the road cases and Callis can’t believe MJF would do this.

Did MJF still do what he said by sending a message to Ospreay? Will the Aerial Assassin have the perfect response come Wembley?

Mariah May VS Viva Van!

The Glamour is back in action because she will not be outdone by Toni Storm. Even after a vicious brawl between them, The Leading Lady still won her match on Collision. Will Mariah do that and more here tonight on Dynamite? Or can The Hellbent Vixen throw the 2024 Queen of Harts off her game?

The bell rings and Mariah runs up to HEADBUTT Van! Van staggers up, Mariah waistlocks, but Van switches. Mariah switches to GERMAN SUPLEX! Mariah smiles while Van flounders to a corner. Mariah storms up, hammers away on Van, then lets off to push Van out of the corner. Mariah steps out to the apron, climbs up the corner, and she MISSILE DROPKICKS Van down! The fans chant, “We Want Toni!” “No We Don’t!” Mariah is annoyed, she dribbles Van off buckles again and again! The fans boo, the ref counts, and Mariah lets off. Van sits down, but Mariah stomps a mudhole in! The ref and Mariah argue, and the fans boo.

But Van rolls Mariah up! TWO! Mariah ducks the backhand to LARIAT! Mariah runs, to SHOTGUN Van back down! The fans boo, Mariah rains down fists, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref reprimands about closed fists so Mariah lets off. Mariah storms around, soaks up heat from the fans, then goes back to Van. Mariah drags Van up, taunts her, but Van shoves her back. So Mariah BOOTS Van down! Mariah kicks Van around, taunts her, then drags her up. Mariah snapmares Van to run and PENALTY KICK! Then Mariah drags Van up to TOSS her out! Van flops to the floor and Mariah acts all dramatic like Toni Storm. The ring count climbs, Mariah smirks as she sees Van drag herself up to the apron. Mariah storms over but Van RAMS into her! And slingshots up and over to get moving, for a WHEEL KICK!

Mariah tumbles out and the fans rally. Mariah throws a fit, Van storms out after her, but Mariah DECKS her! Mariah whips Van hard into railing! Van slumps to the floor and Mariah has another sinister smile. Mariah argues with the ref some more, then goes over to Van. Mariah drags Van up, puts her in the ring, and storms in after her. Mariah snapmares Van into a chinlock and grinds her down. Van endures, even as Mariah leans on the hold. Van fights up, throws elbows, but Mariah throws her down by her hair! Mariah drags Van to a corner, Dynamite returns to single picture, and Mariah stomps away!

Mariah goes corner to corner and runs back in, but Van goes up and over! Van UP KICKS and the fans fire up! Van runs in, but is sent into the buckles! Mariah resets, mockingly poses for a close-up, then hits the SWEET HIP MUSIC! Mariah reels Van in for crossface forearms! The fans boo, but Mariah makes sure we can see Van’s face. Mariah gives her a kiss goodnight, to then run and KNEE her down!! But Mariah still isn’t done, she hauls Van up for the fireman’s carry, MAYDAY DRIVER!! Mariah is still playing with her food, and she hits a STORM ZERO!! Cover, Mariah wins!

Winner: Mariah May, by pinfall

The Glamour shows her sadistic side, and surely there’s even more where that came from. But wait, someone delivers a special gift to Mariah? Mariah looks at the card, and it just says “Happy Birthday.” Mariah peels the paper away, to reveal a picture of her and Storm hugging it out. But what’s it say on the back? DIE MARIAH DIE!” Mariah is pissed now! But HERE’S STORM! She came back in disguise just like before! They throw hands, but Mariah kicks low! Mariah grabs the white high heel shoe! But Storm grabs it, too! They fight over it, but the ref stops Storm! The fans boo, but then more refs rush in!

The refs and even security separate Storm and Mariah but fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT!” Storm gets loose, she throws hands on Mariah! Mariah hits back, but then they’re separated again. Only for Mariah to scramble free! They scrap all over again, the fans are on Storm’s side! But with just 18 days left, what happens when we see these two dangerous divas go All In?

Jack Perry watches back tape.

Specifically, Darby setting him on fire at Double or Nothing, and Darby wanting to set him on fire at Blood & Guts. “Everything in life has a price. The question is how much you’re willing to sacrifice for it.” Darby was TNT Champion, and he wants to be TNT Champion again. There is footage of other TNT Champions in the mix, such as Adam Copeland, Samoa Joe, Sammy Guevara and Scorpio Sky. “Those who shape the future carry the burden of destroying the past.” Jack SMASHES the screens with a fire ax! And only The Scapegoat remains. Will he make sure that’s how it is after All In?

Darby Allin speaks.

“Last time me and Jack were in the ring together, everyone was asking me, why didn’t I just light him on fire and end this whole thing? It’s simple. Cuz you (Jack) would have every excuse not to show up at Wembley. TNT Champion? I don’t even know the last time you’ve been on TNT. Well, you talk about sacrifice, ‘You gotta sacrifice this, you gotta sacrifice this.’ You don’t have to sacrifice any more of your time, Jack. You don’t gotta show up on Dynamite, you don’t even gotta show up this Friday on Rampage when I wrestle in Winston-Salem. You don’t even gotta show up on Collision. But you gotta show up at All In in Wembley.”

The Relentless One has put Jack Perry on notice, will The Scapegoat be the one sacrificed in the end?

Katsuyori Shibata VS Bryan Keith!

The Wrestler wants revenge for everything The Bad Apple and his new mentor, “The Learning Tree,” have done over the past two months. Not just to Shibata himself and that attempt to break his arm, but how Chris Jericho literally drove Samoa Joe through a wall, and how Chris Jericho literally threw fire at Hook’s face. Jericho will be on commentary alongside The Redwood, will they all see Shibata chop Keith down?

The fans already rally for Shibata, but Keith wants him to stay back. The ref has Shibata step back, and then Keith sucker punches Shibata! Now the bell rings and Keith still CLUBS away! Shibata fires body shots, CLUBS Keith again and again, but Keith knees low. Keith whips Shibata to a corner, runs up, but Shibata dodges! Shibata ROCKS Keith, snapmares him, and clamps on a chinlock! Keith endures, even pries at the hold, so Shibata shifts down to an armlock. Shibata isolates the arm to STOMP it! Keith writhes, Jericho says that was what hurt Keith the first time! But then Shibata isolates the other arm, and STMOPS it, too!

Keith writhes, bails out, and his arms are like noodles! Shibata dares Keith to get back in. Keith staggers away so Shibata pursues. Shibata CLUBS Keith, whips, but Keith reverses! Shibata hits railing hard! Keith runs up to then RAM Shibata into more railing! Keith refreshes the ring count, and he KICKS Shibata’s arm! Shibata flounders, Keith talks smack on the fans, and he drops a KNEE on Shibata’s arm! Keith says RESPECT JERICHO! Keith drags Shibata up and into the ring, and he KICKS the arm again before Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Keith looms over Shibata while he writhes, then drags him back up. Keith puts Shibata in the ring, then storms into the ring. Keith lines up a shot to DROPKICK the bad arm! Cover, TWO! Shibata stays in this but Keith stomps him around. Keith kicks Shibata, Shibata CHOPS Keith! Keith KICKS Shibata down! Keith then digs his boots in at the ropes. Keith KICKS the arm, but Shibata just gets mad! Keith CHOPS, and Shibata just stares him down! Dynamite returns to single picture as Keith fires more shots. Shibata eggs Keith on! Keith kicks low, then CHOPS again!

Jericho says Keith is tougher and crazier than ever, but Shibata is just as tough! Keith fires forearms, but Shibata leans into the shots! Then Shibata ROCKS Keith back! Shibata fires forearms again and again in the corner! The ref counts, Shibata lets off, but Keith HEADBUTTS! Keith fireman’s carries, USHIGOROSHI! Cover, TWO! Keith clamps onto the arm, but Shibata rolls! Keith wrenches, clinches, but Shibata fights the lift! Keith still hits an EXPLODER! Cover, TWO! The fans rally for Shibata but Keith shakes his head. Keith drags Shibata up, reels him in, and underhooks, but Shibata resists the lift!

Shibata powers out, has the arms, but Keith RISING HEADBUTTS! Keith swings, into an S T O! The fans fire up and Shibata drags Keith up, to ripcord and CHOP! The fans fire up for that one! Shibata then shouts out The Von Erichs with the IRON CLAW! Keith endures the squeeze, but then Shibata throws him into an ARMBAR!! Keith TAPS, Shibata wins!

Winner: Katsuyori Shibata, by submission

Jericho & Bill leave commentary, and Bill CLOBBERS Shibata! Bill stomps away on Shibata, Jericho joins in, and even Keith gets up to help mug The Wrestler! The fans boo as The Learning Tree waves hi and Bill gives a thumbs up. Keith CHOKES Shibata, then Bill & Keith stand Shibata up. Jericho holds up his “For The World” Championship, but wait! That music! It’s HOOK! Hook runs into the ring, TOSSES Bill, then fires hands on Jericho! Jericho tries to fight back but Hook is all fired up! Hook whips, Jericho bails out! The Learning Tree and his Branches retreat, because they were not ready for a fair fight!

Hook warns Jericho that revenge is coming for them! Will someone cut down The Learning Tree once and for all to take back that FTW Championship?

Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy.

Renee Paquette is with Freshly Squeezed, and notes he wanted a rematch with Roderick Strong, Rush & The Beast Mortos, but unfortunately, the rest of The Conglomeration is not here. Travel issues abound because of Tropical Storm turned Hurricane Debby, so what is Cassidy going to do? Cassidy says he’ll still go out there. Wait, is he sure that’s a good idea? Probably not. Though, Cassidy did find a few local boys that were looking for a fight, so here we are. Okay, then, just let Renee know if Cassidy needs anything. Does she wanna wrestle for him? Nope. Yeah, he didn’t think so. But then just who did Cassidy find to team with? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Backstage interview with Hangman Page.

Renee is with The Black Hat Cowboy and brings up last week, his loss to Darby Allin. Ever since Hangman’s return, from The Owen Hart Cup to Blood & Guts to even last week, he hasn’t exactly been getting the outcomes he’s wanted. Hangman says there has been one thing, one man, that he wanted to take everything from. “To leave him with nothing but the ash of his pride. But for that one man, there had to be a dozen or more other dumbasses to get in my way! And justice delayed is justice denied!” Hangman says look at him and believe when he says that he will have what he wants. It’s fairly certain who that one man is, but when and where will Hangman get his shot at him?

Jim Ross has a sit-down interview with Swerve Strickland.

Good ol’ JR is with the AEW World Champion, and is just excited about what the fans are going to see. JR isn’t sure enough of them even understand what they’ll miss not watching All In. It motivates JR as a broadcaster, so does it motivate Swerve as a wrestler? Absolutely, and in every single way. Every fiber of Swerve’s being, every molecule in his body, is beyond motivated. Taking on legends at All In, losing there, but then coming back to be in the main event a year later, that means the world to Swerve. That path truly changed him as an individual.

JR admits, Swerve’s done some controversial things. Swerve says for sure. Is there any remorse over those actions? Or was it more, he did them because he “had to?” Swerve says that as he’s said before, you knock on the door long enough and no one lets you in, you gotta make more noise. And if you make enough noise, people listen. Then as Swerve thinks back on the violence, the punishment that Bryan Danielson inflicts… Swerve says no, he has not overlooked how physical this match is going to really be. JR agrees there, too. Swerve was sitting back watching Bryan kick people’s teeth out quite literally, and on TV.

Swerve knows what Bryan has left in him, and that is why Bryan is fighting as hard as he is, especially against Swerve because Bryan knows how hard it is to face Swerve. JR says Bryan is wrestling this match as if it is his last, and it very well could be. Win, lose or draw, this is it. Swerve says even before thinking about the title, as if that wasn’t enough of a motivator for Bryan, Bryan has made it about legacy. That is what is on the line. Bryan is at a crossroads over the simple fact that, “Who is Bryan without wrestling?” Bryan needs something to get up and fight for, and without that something, who is he really?

Swerve wonders, if roles were reversed, would Bryan give a damn about Swerve? Would anyone that swerve was on his way out? JR says that in all honestly, they shouldn’t. Swerve says that’s right, so why should he care about Bryan? Swerve is in the driver’s seat, he controls the narrative, the fate, the future. That is what worries some people about Swerve having the world title, and it should worry Bryan, too. Because well, does Swerve really care about Bryan being a father? No. Going home to his family? No, not really.

JR says this will be the toughest match of Swerve’s career, and Swerve asks why. What happens when Bryan’s body gives out on him? What if those arms just don’t work anymore? Or his neck seizes up? Everyone talks about what they’ll do to inflict pain on someone else, that is what makes them “so good” or “so dangerous.” But what do you do when none of that works because your body doesn’t work? JR says Bryan is still going to be hard to beat, so can Swerve beat him? Swerve says no only can he, he will beat Bryan Danielson at Wembley Stadium. That legacy will belong to him now. The American Dragon is stepping into Swerve’s House, will he not make it out?

Dax CHOPS! Rush CHOPS! Repeat! Dax CHOPS again, but Rush ROCKS him with a haymaker! Rush keeps after Dax in the corner, tags in Mortos, and Mortos snap suplexes! Cover, TWO! Dax stays in this, but Mortos stomps him down. Tag to Rush, he scuffs Dax then stomps him more. Rush kicks Dax around, then clamps on a chinlock. Dynamite returns to single picture while Dax endures and fights up. Dax fires body shots, then CHOPS! Rush CHOPS again! Dax staggers back, Rush CHOPS again! Dax fires hands on everyone! Dax bobs ‘n’ weaves, so does Rush, and DOUBLE HAYMAKERS take both men down!

The fans are thunderous as Dax and Rush crawl. But Rush anchors Dax’s leg, and Roddy runs up on Cash! APRON BACK SUPLEX!! Cash flops down, Mortos runs up on Cassidy! Cassidy POSTS Mortos first! Dax ROCKS Rush, hot tag to Cassidy! Cassidy goes up to CROSSBODY! Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirls and RANAS Rush out! Roddy’s back but Cash tilt-o-whirl DDTS! Mortos returns but Cassidy dodges him to then DIVE onto Roddy! Cassidy again ducks ‘n’ dodges Mortos, DEJA VU times two for a DDT!! The fans are thunderous as Cassidy stands tall! Cassidy takes off the elbow pad and takes aim from the corner!

But Roddy runs up again! Cassidy DECKS him first! Mortos SPEARS Cassidy!! Dax returns, Mortos dodges to SPEAR! Cash runs up, hurdles, but Mortos leaps, into a POWERSLAM from Cash! Rush runs up, wrenches and SAIDOS Cash! Rush roars, but Cassidy is there to Alabama Lift! BEACH BREAK!! Cover, ONE?!? The fans are thunderous, Cassidy seethes, and he drags Rush up. Tag to Dax, and Dax reels Rush in. But Roddy GAMANGIRIS Cassidy! Dax runs up but Roddy BOOTS then ENZIGIRIS Dax! Rush CHOPS, CHOPS, and GERMAN SUPLEXES! Dax staggers up, Rush KNEES him back down! Cover, CASH BREAKS IT!

The fans fire up as Cash CHOPS Roddy! Mortos HEADBUTTS Cash! Mortos then DIVES to TORNILLO TOPE! Down goes Cash at the ramp! The fans are thunderous as Mortos runs at Cassidy! Cassidy ducks and Mortos’ CROSSBODY sends him over the railingand onto The Kingdom!! Bennett & Taven pay for earlier, but Roddy suplexes Cassidy! Only to get STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Double-edged for Cassidy’s tailbone, but then Rush CLOBBERS Dax in the ring! Rush stomps away on Dax, scuffs him, then goes corner to corner! “You mess with the bull!” You get the- ORANGE PUNCH!!

Rush staggers, but he rebounds to DECK Cassidy!! Cash steps in, he ROCKS Rush! Rush CHOPS Cash, Dax CHOPS Rush! Rush fights FTR 2v1, CHOP after CHOP! Rush ROCKS Cash, CHOPS Dax, but ORANGE PUNCH!! SHATTER MACHINE!! Cover, Freshly FTR wins!

Winners: Orange Cassidy & FTR, by pinfall

Callis is furious, but the celebration for FTR is short lived as here comes The Acclaimed. Max Caster has the mic, but it isn’t working! Dax says it sounds like it isn’t just him, and it sounds like it isn’t just North Carolina. Seems production doesn’t want Caster to talk anymore, either! Dax says he has all the respect for everything The Acclaimed has done for AEW, he really does. But here’s the problem: this goes beyond AEW. Security appears to keep Caster & Bowens from the ring. Dax admits, he isn’t as eloquent as Caster on the mic, but FTR are real men. Just break through that wall and bring it.

The fans fire up as Caster & Bowens try to reach the ring, but now even Christopher Daniels and producers rush out here to stop this! So FTR rush out to go after Caster & Bowens! The fans cheer, Cassidy shrugs, but the fight is broken up. FTR want to be contenders but The Acclaimed are the #1 contenders, so what does all this animosity mean this close to All In?

BREAKING NEWS for All In!

Tony Khan has decided to make the already massive return to Wembley even bigger than that! There will be a Casino Gauntlet match! The winner earns themselves a guaranteed AEW World Championship match at some point in the future! Bryan Danielson and Swerve Strickland are already going All In, who looks to do the same?

The Patriarchy speaks.

Christian Cage says, “Now it seems there’s a bit of a problem at the top of the Trios Division. You have The House of Black, that were the #1 contenders until they unfortunately lost a member for a period of time, and are looking to stake their claim to that prize once again. And then you have on the other hand, the former champions, The Bang Bang Gang, the champions that we beat, looking for their rematch. Well it is fortunate for both of you that I made some calls, I talked to some people, this Saturday on Collision, it’s gonna be The Bang Bang Gang VS The House of Black for the right to officially become the #1 contenders for the Trios Championships.

“But being the nice guy that I am, I decided to up the stakes for you boys, make it a little more enticing. The winner of that match will face The Patriarchy at the biggest show of the year, at All In in Wembley Stadium. Oh, and since you guys seem to bicker and fight between yourselves about who should be champions like children do, maybe some order needs to be kept, some discipline needs to be in order in the form… of a father. That’s while I’ll be the special referee for said match. See you at Collision.” Captain Charisma is certainly not going to be fair to either of those trios, so who will he screw over the least?

2v1 Handicap Match: Kamille w/ Mercedes Mone VS Clara Carter & Jazmyne Hao!

The Brickhouse is The CEO’s newest investment, and essentially her insurance policy. Will Kamille prove she’s worth every penny? Or can the Queen City Killer and The Dragon of Malice tear her down together?

The bell rings and while the fans chant for the “C E O! C E O!” Kamile puts her shoulder pads aside. She stares both opponents down, then just BOOTS Hao down! Carter wants out but Kamille drags her back in! And ROCKS her! And UPPERCUTS her! And then CLUBS her down! Carter sputters, Kamille frowns and drags her up. Kamille stomps away in the corner, but Hao jumps on for a SLEEPER! Kamille isn’t even bothered, she just stomps Carter more! Then she FLINGS Hao onto Carter! Kamille runs up, Carter dodges, and now Carter & Hao stomp together! They double whip, but Kamille comes back to LARIAT Hao!

Carter turns around, into a BOOT! Kamile drags Hao up, torture rack and THRASH, before the TOWER HACKER BOMB! Kamille drags Hao up and reels her in, to Canadian Rack and DOMINATE-HER!! Cover, Kamille wins!

Winner: Kamille, by pinfall

Mone steps in, never any doubt in her mind. And Kamille raises Mone’s hand in victory? Mone tells the fans to say hello to The Brickhouse. Kamille TOSSES Carter, TOSSES Hao, and then Mone tells the fans to say hello to your CEO. The fans are a bit torn, but Mone says don’t even waste your breath on chanting for the DMD, because Britt Baker is not even here tonight. Shoutout to the EVPs for that suspension so we don’t have to deal with Britt until All In. How sweet is that? Kamille says very sweet.

Mone “hates” to be the one breaking it to us, but Britt is not here! And poor lil’ DMD. Let’s talk about her! The first ever woman signed to AEW! How impressive! But while they always say Britt was the first, they never says she’s the best! But these titles on Mone let you know that SHE is the best! Tony Schiavone speaks up, and says he has some breaking news from Christopher Daniels. Tony Khan has overruled The Elite’s ban on Britt! And we also have Britt via satellite.

Britt tells Mercedes that she can run, get a bodyguard, and even get Britt suspended, but she can’t stop Britt. The match is on at All In, just like how Britt’s been all in on AEW since day one. And when Britt commits, she sees it through to the end. Unlike Mone. We all know the second things don’t go Mone’s way, she takes her ball and goes home. Mone is not the future. AEW is just the flavor of the month for Mone. But for Britt, AEW is home. So go ahead, Mone, walk your walk, talk your talk, and count your money. But this all ends at All In when Britt becomes the Face of TBS, and the first woman in AEW to have beat Mercedes Mone.

And now, Britt has seven days to think on how she can get her hands on Mone next week. And if you doubt that Britt won’t find a way, don’t. Trust Britt, she’s a doctor. Yours Truly, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD. The fans cheer, Mone is upset, but she does have Kamille. Will that insurance policy come in very handy next Wednesday?

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite next week!

After winning the Triple Threat on Collision, Claudio Castagnoli is the #1 contender to the Continental Championship. The Swiss Superman is ready to challenge The Rainmaker, but they will have a face-to-face next Wednesday night. What will Kazuchika Okada have to say about his next challenger?

Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat is here!

The living legend and WWE Hall of Famer is here to be a special guest commentator for what will surely be a powerful main event.

Anything Goes: Bryan Danielson VS Jeff Jarrett!

The American Dragon didn’t appreciate Double J’s words of encouragement, because they came off as if Jarrett didn’t think Bryan was really ready for his Wembley moment. Bryan raised the stakes on himself by making it Title VS Career, and now he wants to show Jarrett just how ready he is! So Jarrett raised the stakes even further, and he made this match have no disqualifications, no count outs, and no time limit! Now, with no telling what either man will do to win, who comes out of this stronger than iron to take on Swerve Strickland?

WAIT! Jarrett storms up on Bryan from behind to SMASH HIT him with the guitar!! The Last Outlaw tells Bryan he has to be ready for anything! Karen Jarrett & Jay Lethal run out here and even they wonder what the hell Jeff’s doing! Jarrett stomps Bryan, SMACKS him with what’s left of his guitar, then tells Karen and Lethal to get outta here. Jarrett stomps Bryan down the ramp, drags him up, and throws him into the ring. Ricky says Jarrett’s always taken the low road, but maybe this is the only way to truly get Bryan ready. The bell rings, and Jarrett LARIATS Bryan up and outta the ring!

The fans rally but Jarrett storms out. Jarrett grabs a chair, and he SMACKS Bryan on the back! Jarrett drags Bryan up, whips him over railing, and then storms out after him! Jarrett fires hands, the ref follows them as they go to the bleachers, and Jarrett fires more hands! Jarrett keeps Bryan moving further up, then throws more hands! The fans fire up as Bryan fights back! Bryan ROCKS Jarrett now, and they continue going up! Jarrett kicks back, SMACKS Bryan off the hand rail, then ROCKS him again! And SMACKS him off the rail! Bryan fires hands in return! Jarrett pokes Bryan in the eye! Then throws hands!

The ref reprimands, only in that a pin or submission has to happen in the ring. Jarrett says that doesn’t matter, and they continue up into the pavilion! Jarrett SMACKS Bryan off a wall, and then Jarrett finds a trash barrel! Jarrett CHUCKS the barrel at Bryan! Jarrett makes quite the mess, but then he JAMS Bryan with the metal frame the trash barrel was in! Bryan SMACKS Jarrett in return with a bottle! And again! And again! The fans back here are all fired up as Bryan MSACKS Jarrett more and more! Bryan KICKS, KICKS and KICKS! “YES! YES! YES!” Bryan winds up, to SMACK Jarrett with the tall boy can!

But Jarrett LOW BLOWS! The fans are torn but Jarrett drags Bryan up to scoop, and DROP on the can! The fans lose their minds as Jarrett storms around. Jarrett drags Bryan up, lines up the shot, and suplexes Bryan on the can!! Those Wake Forest cans are tough, there’s almost no give! Jarrett throws more hands on Bryan, and the fans help keep Bryan standing! Jarrett ROCKS Bryan again and again, then reels him in. But Bryan blocks the suplex, turns it around, and he suplexes Jarrett onto the can! The can finally gives way and Jarrett clutches his lower back! The fans are thunderous for Bryan as he keeps on Jarrett!

Bryan fires hands, and we even get a close-up of Bryan hooking Jarrett’s face, while Dynamite goes picture in picture!

Bryan and Jarrett move back to the entrance and start making their way down the bleachers. Bryan fires hands as they go, then KICKS, and KICKS, and KICKS! Fans chant “YES! YES! YES!” but then Jarrett ROCKS Bryan! Jarrett throws hands, then UPPERCUTS Bryan! Bryan SMACKS Jarrett with a fan’s popcorn! Jarrett still throws hands, they make it back to ground level, and Jarrett CLAWS Bryan’s face! Jarrett grabs a recycle bin to SMACK Bryan with it! Jarrett whips, Bryan reverses, and Jarrett tumbles up and over the railing! Bryan snarls, storms his way over, but Jarrett JAMS him up with a chair!

Jarrett JAMS Bryan again and again, then goes back to the ring. Bryan sputters, Jarrett wedges the chair into a corner, and then Jarrett goes back for Bryan. Bryan stands, Jarrett moves the steel steps around, then ROCKS Bryan! Jarrett climbs up on the railing so he can rain down fists! The fans count along, and Jarrett hits TEN! Jarrett leaves Bryan behind, the fans cheer Bryan on, but Jarrett grabs another chair. Jarrett brings that into the ring at the same time Bryan slides in, and Dynamite returns to single picture. Jarrett JAMS Bryan’s legs with the chair, then SMACKS him right on the knee! And then SMACKS him again!

The fans are torn but mostly booing as Jarrett storms around. Swerve & Nana are watching backstage as Jarrett stomps Bryan in a corner. Jarrett stands Bryan up, climbs up, and says Bryan needs to be ready. Jarrett rains down fists, and fans count to nine, for Jarrett to wind up, to fire off five more fast hands! That’s 14 right there, and then Jarrett runs Bryan corner to corner to SMACK him off buckles! Jarrett whips, Bryan goes up and over and keeps moving! Bryan ducks ‘n’ dodges to LEAPING LARIAT! The fans fire up and Jarrett flounders to a corner. Bryan snarls, runs corner to corner, and he DROPKICKS!

Bryan climbs up now, and he rains down fists! The fans count and Bryan goes to TEN, then he BITES Jarrett! That’s something he got from Moxley. Bryan whips, but Jarrett KICKS back! Jarrett runs in, Bryan TOSSES him out! Bryan then builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit and down goes Double J! Bryan drags Jarrett up again, and sends him into railing! Jarrett takes a seat, Bryan KICKS him again and again! “YES! YES! YES!” Bryan gets space, runs back in, and he DROPKICKS Jarrett against railing! The fans fire up again as Bryan drags Jarrett up and around. Bryan KICKS Jarrett again and again, “YES! YES! YES!”

Bryan RAMS Jarrett into steel steps! Bryan goes to the apron, takes aim, and he FLYING- CHAIR!! Jarrett uses the chair to take Bryan right out of the air! Jarrett puts Bryan in, puts the legs on ropes, and then HIP DROPS! Fans want tables but Jarrett has a chair. Jarrett JAMS Bryan’s leg, then he puts the chair around it! The fans boo but Jarrett goes up a corner. Jarrett is going a bit further than getting Bryan ready here…! But Bryan stands to SMACK Jarrett with that chair! Bryan climbs up after Jarrett, reels him in, and SPIDER SUPERPLEX! Bryan sits up and the fans fire up! Bryan huffs ‘n’ puffs and fires up more, “YES! YES! YES!”

Bryan adjusts up top, then leaps to MISSILE DROPKICK! Down goes Jarrett, and Bryan snarls. “This is Awesome!” and Bryan hobbles over to Jarrett. Bryan KICKS again and again, but that bothers his plant leg. Bryan aims, but Jarrett ducks the buzzsaw! Jarrett trips Bryan, steps through, FIGURE FOUR! Bryan endures, the fans “WOO~!” and Jarrett pushes on the leg! Bryan drags himself over to the chair! Bryan SMACKS Jarrett’s legs now!! And SMACKS them again! And again!! Jarrett lets go for the sake of his own knees, and Bryan stands to wrangle him by an arm! But Jarrett fights free, FULL METAL STROKE!! Cover, TWO!!

Bryan survives being slammed on the chair, but Jarrett steps through on the legs, for a SHARPSHOOTER! The fans boo but Jarrett is shouting out Owen with this one! The fans rally, Bryan fights around, and he rolls over to grab an arm! Omoplata, for the LEBELL LOCK!! Jarrett endures, pries at the grip, and he’s free of the crossface! Jarrett ROCKS Bryan but Bryan KICKS back! They both sit up to fire more shots! The fans rally behind Bryan, and both men stand to throw harder haymakers! Faster haymakers! It is a scrap! Then Jarrett kicks, Bryan blocks, but Jarrett ENZIGIRIS! Jarrett says this is it! Wrench and-

NO, Bryan sends Jarrett into his corner chair trap! Then Bryan has the other chair, runs up, FULL METAL BUSAIKU KNEE!! Cover, Bryan wins!!

Winner; Bryan Danielson, by pinfall

Ricky says what goes around comes around. Jarrett made this hardcore, but he’s the one who takes the loss. Karen, Lethal & Sonjay hurry out here to check on Jarrett while Wheeler Yuta is here to back up Bryan. Even Ricky joins Bryan in the ring, commending him on this match. Jarrett’s even got blood from somewhere under the chin. Ricky helps Jarrett up, showing his fellow legend respect. Bryan and Yuta give it up for Jarrett, and Ricky raises both guys’ hands in victory. Bryan and Jarrett shake hands and hug it out. But then “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Nana leads the way for The Realest, and even does the dance.

Swerve has a mic to tell, “Well would you look at this. Did y’all see this? Y’all saw that, right?” Three great legends on TBS programming, right in front of our eyes. There was Jeff Jarrett, there was Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, and now… Swerve Strickland. All men that have defined professional wrestling on this network. Swerve hops up into the ring with Bryan and says the difference between them all and Bryan is, they’ve all be world champions on TBS and he hasn’t. The only thing between Bryan and the title is ol’ Swerve himself. Swerve says Bryan is one of the Greatest of All Time. That’s why it’ll be great for Swerve when he retires Bryan at All In, and Bryan’s legacy becomes Swerve’s.

And Swerve will NOT hesitate to take the kill shot, he promises Bryan that. Heck of a match out here, how’s Bryan feeling? Legs are wobbly, back is giving out, losing feeling in the fingers. If that’s what Jarrett did to Bryan, just imagine what Swerve will do. A great test for Bryan none the less. But hey, how about Swerve gets tested, too? Swerve wants a little “warm up” before Wembley. He needs to spar. How about this? Norfolk, Virginia, Dynamite, the AEW World Champion goes 1v1 with… Wheeler Yuta. The Decoder says he ain’t some damn warm-up. But if Swerve wants it, then he can get it.

Swerve says this week, he was sitting in the back, watching Bryan VS Jarrett. But next week, Swerve wants Bryan to have a front row seat to see why Swerve is the most dangerous man in AEW. “Whose house?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Not wanting to be outdone, will he break Yuta just as an example of what’s coming for Bryan? Or is this a trap game for the champ?

My Thoughts:

Another great Dynamite here, even with the apparent changes because of the tropical storm blowing through the Carolinas. The only change they acknowledged was Cassidy needing FTR to team with him over whatever combination from The Conglomeration they were going to use, and really it worked out for the better. FTR being hometown guys, the fans were all fired up. And then after Cassidy & FTR win, Acclaimed storming out there to start beef was also good. Now, there are some weird parallels going on in the Tag Division and Trios Division, in that Christian Cage came up with the contender’s match idea I feel we’re getting with Acclaimed and FTR. Bang Bang Gang VS House of Black, Christian as special ref, that’s going to make for a real good match.

Also good promos from Jack Perry and Darby Allin, though I glossed over how TBS accidentally cued up a Taco Bell commercial too early. But really, all I got from Jack Perry’s promo is a reminder that Scorpio Sky was a TNT Champion, yet his newest comeback ended before it even began. A real shame Scorpio Sky’s “I am your inspiration” persona didn’t get more than promos and I think one ROH match. Anyway, good match from Mariah VS Viva Van, went longer than I thought it would, but that is good for Viva Van. And maybe it was to fill time for things that couldn’t happen because people got stuck at airports or whatever. But Storm of course went after Mariah again, a good follow-up from Collision.

Kamille doing a Handicap squash match was fine, we knew she was winning no matter how many people were in there. And good promos from Mone and Britt to get at each other, but I don’t think this really sways who wins at All In at all. I have a feeling next week could really determine a lot of it, though, as Britt tries to go after Mone, only for Kamille to clobber her. That then gives Britt the go-home math so that she’ll win at All In, letting Mone be free to go show up for NJPW Strong, aka NJPW US events. Though ironically, that’d make Britt right about Mone rage quitting places and not really caring about AEW.

Awesome opening match from MJF VS Fletcher, and of course MJF had to cheat to win. But I did like Kyle refusing to resort to the Callis screwdriver, following in Ospreay’s footsteps. And I almost wonder if there’s a plot twist. What if MJF isn’t the one slashing tires and blocking doors? What if it is Callis screwing with Ospreay over Ospreay no longer wanting to be Callis Family member? That would be pretty good stuff to circle us back to the idea of Ospreay & Fletcher VS Don Callis Family, even if Rush is the only active member right now. Though, Callis probably could recruit others, like Mortos, or some other Heel that isn’t doing anything and could use this to get up to the next level.

Great match out of Shibata VS Keith, with Jericho being good on commentary. Shibata of course wins, and he of course gets jumped by Jericho & Bill, but luckily Hook was here to make the save. If Samoa Joe makes his return next week, I could see a Six Man Tag being set up. If not, then just default us to Hook VS Jericho for the FTW Championship one last time. And even then, you can throw everyone else out there, including Joe, so as to make sure Jericho loses and Hook wins.

Good promo from Hangman to have him call out Swerve without saying his name, because that is how much Hangman hates Swerve, and that was a good way to jump into Swerve’s interview promo with JR. Feels a little redundant now after Swerve also went out there to talk to Bryan, but it’s not that big of a deal. Bryan VS Jarrett was an awesome match, especially with Jarrett striking first. I do appreciate when they go up into the pavilion and use the trash cans. Great finish with the knee and chair combo, but of course Bryan won. Swerve VS Yuta next week will also be really good, and of course Swerve will win that. They’ll keep us guessing on the Title VS Career match, but I still feel like with Darby waiting at Grand Slam, it should be Swerve.

Which brings me to the news that we’re getting another #1 contender’s match! Sure, Casino Gauntlets are lots of fun, but why have it at All In? Isn’t that card already fat enough? The only saving grace would be if the winner of that gauntlet decides to Money in the Bank this and cash in during Bryan VS Swerve. If it’s a Heel, they’ll get massive heat for “ruining” that match. They can cost Bryan not just the title but his in-ring career, or they can be the reason Swerve loses. Hmm, actually, that might be the only reason they’re doing it. Hangman Page of all people could come out the winner, he cashes in, and does his damndest to screw Swerve.

My Score: 9/10

Cassidy fires haymakers, then puts Jericho in a corner. Cassidy whips, Jericho reverses, Cassidy goes up and out, only for Jericho to BLAST him off the apron! Cassidy hits barriers, Jericho soaks up heat, and the ref checks Cassidy. Cassidy is still in this, so Jericho goes out to fetch him. Jericho scoops Cassidy to SNAKE EYES off the railing! The fans boo, but Jericho takes the camera to record Cassidy himself. Jericho stomps Cassidy, then hands the camera back.

Jericho drags Cassidy up and into the ring, then goes up a corner. Cassidy stands, Jericho waves hi, and then leaps to AX HANDLE! Down goes Cassidy and the fans boo more. Jericho and Cassidy brawl, Jericho scoops, BACK SUPLEX through the table!!

The fans lose their minds while the ref checks both men. Cassidy and Jericho stir in the wreckage, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Doc Sampson checks both men, too, and both Cassidy and Jericho moving is a good sign. Cassidy drags himself up and out of the timekeeper’s area first, but Jericho follows. And again! Both men wind up but they both fall over! The fans cheer and the ref again checks. Jericho and Cassidy slowly sit up, grab at each other, and they trade forearms again! The fans cheer, but Jericho gets the edge! Jericho fires up, but Cassidy SUPERKICKS!

The fans fire up, the ref counts, Cassidy stops the mudhole to go corner to corner. But Jericho LARIATS first! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives and Jericho grows frustrated. Jericho and Cassidy rise up, the fans rally more, and Jericho eggs Cassidy on. Jericho fires shots but so does Cassidy! Cassidy kicks and kicks, then goes up! But Jericho SLAPS him first! Jericho climbs up to CLUB away, only for Cassidy to fire body shots. Cassidy HEADBUTTS Jericho down! Jericho stands, into the CROSSBODY!

The fans fire up as Cassidy keeps moving! Tilt-o-whirl and- NO, Jericho stops the DDT again to have the legs! WALLS OF JERICHO!! Cassidy endures again, and the fans rally as hard as they can! Cassidy reaches out, grits his teeth, and really comes close! Cassidy refuses to give in, and he crawls his way over! Jericho sits deeper, but Cassidy army crawls forward, to the ROPEBREAK! Jericho lets go, argues with the ref, but a Big Bill BOOT hits Cassidy outta nowhere! How’d he get away from the others? Jericho covers, TWO!! Cassidy is still in this, and speaking of the others, they return! Kyle KICKS away on Bill’s long legs, but Bill UPPERCUTS!

Bill storms up, Kyle comes back for more, and those two brawl back to the back. Jericho drags Cassidy up, Cassidy cradles! TWO! Cassidy Alabama Lifts Jericho, but his back gives out! Jericho fireman’s carries for a DEATH VALLEY BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives and Jericho scowls. Jericho kicks at Cassidy all mockingly, in a very Cassidy way. Jericho then kicks, and KICKS! Cassidy grabs that foot, so Jericho SLAPS, and KENES Cassidy! Jericho runs, into a kick! And DDT! Cassidy fires up, runs, tilt-o-whirls, and DDTS! The fans fire up as that finally hits! Cassidy hurries up a corner, and then DEEP IMPACT!! Cover, TWO!!

Jericho survives but the fans continue to rally for Cassidy! Off comes the elbow pad! Jericho stands, Cassidy runs up, into a CODE BREAKER!! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives again and Jericho is beside himself! “This is Awesome!” while Jericho rises and Cassidy crawls. Jericho runs up, JUDAS- NO, Cassidy gets around, gets under, BEACH BREAK!! Cover, TWO?!? Cassidy is too tired to be upset, but here comes the Bad Apple! But the Chicken is after him! Bryan and Briscoe brawl, but wait! Jericho has something in his hand. Is that a roll of quarters!? Seems he kept the change after all! But Cassidy kicks Jericho, and snatches the roll!

Cassidy gets moving, LOADED ORANGE PUNCH!! Cover, Cassidy wins!!

Winner: Orange Cassidy, by pinfall

Jericho tried to get his payback by any means necessary, but he just gave Cassidy what he needed to get through this! Is The Conglomeration finally going to move on from the Jericho Vortex? Or will the Learning Tree fail to get past the past?

AEW shares footage from after last week’s Dynamite.

Claudio told Pac to go ahead and speak his mind. The Bastard told Yuta Wheeler, “Where ya been, man? We’re the Trios Champions, and we haven’t heard from you since the PPV. It’s very simple. Next week, we have a championship defense, so it’s time to come to work. Ya understand me? Pull your socks up, Yuta, and we’ll see you next week.” The Swiss Superman then says he isn’t mad at Yuta, he’s just disappointed. He thought he taught Yuta better. But obviously, Yuta is old enough to make his own decisions, but… Do them one favor and just show up next week to help defend these titles.

Moxley steps in and says he knows this is a lot to handle, but believe him, Yuta has the strength inside him to do the right thing. It’s Yuta’s choice. He’s free to leave the group. He is not trapped. Yuta can do whatever he wants. But he has a personal responsibility to the greater good. Yuta has to look himself in the mirror and ask, “What kind of man did we teach you to be?” This BCC then headed out, having given the ultimatum. But then, what is The Decoder’s response?

Backstage interview with Wheeler Yuta.

Alex Marvez catches Yuta as he’s apparently already leaving, and he thanks Yuta for this time. Alex brings up the BCC’s message that the AEW World Trios Championships will be on the line next week for Grand Slam. Yuta says yeah, he’s most certainly conflicted given recent events. He worked his whole career for a chance like this, to be a champion, and if they’re gonna showcase what they’ve got at WrestleDream, then- Oh, no, the defense is for Grand Slam. But then in steps a staffer, and he says Yuta almost forgot his World Trios belt. Oh, sorry, his mind’s been all over the place. Yuta takes the belt back.

Yuta says there is one thing Yuta’s learned from Bryan Danielson. It’s that you don’t change who you are just because those around you are changing. Yuta is a fighting champion, he takes pride in carrying this championship, so despite what the BCC wants, if they want this “favor,” if they want him to help defend the titles at Grand Slam, then Yuta will kick whoever’s ass he has to. Yuta heads out, but can he keep his feelings separate from business?

The Undisputed Kingdom joins commentary.

Roderick Strong, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett have snuck their way out to join Excalibur, Tony Schiavone & Taz to watch this next match. Guess why.

Hook VS JD Ink!

Roddy shouts at “HOOOOK~!” but Hook ignores him and Roddy says that’s disrespectful. Roddy asks if Taz brought Hook up to disrespect living legends like Roddy. But the Cold Hearted Handsome Devil is about focusing on his work, no distractions. Will the man of 1000 tattoos get this work as an example to Roddy?

The bell rings, Ink talks trash, but Hook LARIATS him down! Then he drags Ink up to HALF HATCH! Ink writhes, Hook drags him up again, and then NORTHERN LIGHTS! The fans rally as Hook clamps on a head ‘n’ arm, for another SUPLEX! The fans cheer but Roddy talks trash, how is Hook gonna throw Roddy with a broken back? Hook clamps onto Ink for crossface forearms! Taz throws those back at Roddy. Then REDRUM!! Ink taps, Hook wins!

Winner: Hook, by submission

Roddy says aw, look at “Hook Hogan” right there, brother! Hook gets the FTW Championship back, goes back up the ramp and Roddy says maybe Hook will pay attention now. Hook does look over, and tells Roddy he’s gonna get his. Roddy says yeah, because Grand Slam, the FTW Championship comes home with him! Roddy “thanks” commentary for their time, and The Kingdom heads out. Will the Savior of the Backbreaker break down the Cold Hearted Handsome Devil? Or will end up the one broken?

Alex Marvez has an update.

“Alex Scoops” says that Claudio, Pac & Yuta have now issued an Open Challenge for the World Trios Championship match, and that sounds like something up Private Party’s alley. Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy step in and they say Marvez already knows it is! Claudio, Mox, Pac, Brother Zay said this last week, and he’ll say it again so you slimy boys will understand! If you wanted a fight, all you had to do was ask. Quen says if you take away the fun, take away the shots, and what do you have? Two boys from Brooklyn that’re ready to fight! And speaking of New York, why not do this next week? Grand Slam, challenge accepted!

Zay says if BCC’s feeling froggy, then take a leap! Put those belts on the line. And don’t worry, they’ve got a guy for their third. And while they’re still here, Zay wants to get this off his chest. Moxley! Zay hopes you’re listening because he’s deadass serious right now. If Mox wants a war, let this be the first battle. Expected the unexpected! And Zay knows all your pages, boy. Swear to God! Private Party heads out ready to be fighters, but will they be ready to become champions in their own backyards?

Backstage interview with The Patriarchy.

Renee Paquette is with Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, Mother Shayna Wayne, and Killswitch/Luchasaurus. She brings up Christian Cage made it clear last week that with his guaranteed title shot contract, all he has to do is sign his name, execute it and- Christian cuts her off to say he’ll have an AEW World Championship match any place and time that he wants, yes. Hard-hitting journalism here, Renee, thanks. Christian says he could sit here and talk about himself all day long, but he’d like to take a moment to talk about his Prodigy, Nick Wayne. This Friday Night Rampage, Nick is in a Fatal 4 of him, Rocky Romero, Lio Rush and Kip Sabian.

The importance of this match cannot be understated, as this match is the start of Nick’s road to glory. This match will be Nick’s launchpad to glory. Christian decided that he and Nick will hold titles at the same time. That makes for a very unfortunate conversation in the Moxley Household, as Renee’s husband has some designs at the world title. The problem is… Moxley doesn’t have this contract. Now, be professional for once, Renee, and address him by his proper moniker. Do it. Renee says, “Ladies and gentlemen, Christian Cage, the reigning, defending, undisputed next AEW World Champion.” Nick heads offscreen and Christian notices something.

The camera pans over, and it’s Kip Sabian! Christian says turn the cameras off but Mr. Superbad just wants to say there are no hard feelings. Christian doesn’t care. He doesn’t know what Kip’s problem is with Nick, and he doesn’t care about Kip’s late father or anything else. None of that matters, it doesn’t affect Christian. What does is that he keeps seeing Kip’s face! If he sees it again, he puts Kip in the dirt right next to his dad. Got it?! Kip says okay, and then Christian pushes the cameraman. Just what is going on with Kip that he keeps hovering around The Patriarchy? Will it affect the outcome of Rampage’s Fatal 4?

Yuka Sakazaki & Queen Aminata VS Mariah May & Serena Deeb!

The Wrestling Magical Girl wants The Glamour’s gold, and the One True African Woman wants The Professor to take her condescending “lessons” and shove ’em! Will Yuka & Aminata both get what they want here tonight? Or will Mariah & Serena assert their dominance on Dynamite?

The teams sort out and Mariah starts against Yuka, but Mariah made it clear last Saturday that she doesn’t take Yuta seriously. But then Serena tags herself in, and while Mariah’s surprised by that, she allows it. Serena and Yuka tie up, go around, and Serena wrenches to wristlock and wrangle Yuka. Yuka reaches up to headscissor but Serena kips free. Yuka headlocks now but Serena powers free, and the two RAM shoulders. Serena rebounds to run Yuka over! The fans boo but things keep moving. Serena holds ropes to stop herself, then she blocks a kick to DRAGON SCREW, only for Yuka to sit on it! TWO!!

Serena sunset flips, TWO! Yuka cradles, TWO! Serena cradles, TWO! The fans fire up as we get Collision revisited! Serena sweeps the legs, covers, TWO! Yuka sweeps, covers, ONE! The two have a standoff and the fans cheer. Serena and Yuka reset, circle, and Serena waistlocks. Yuka pries free, wrenches the arm and puts Serena on ropes. Yuka hits a snapmare and roll, to then KICK Serena right in the face! Tag to Aminata, she PENALTY KICKS! Yuka hits a rolling leg pick to sit Serena back up, for a SHOTGUN from Aminata! Mariah doesn’t even care, she’s just posing with the belt. Serena reaches out for a tag but there’s no one there!

Aminata runs up on Serena, fires forearms, but Serena pushes back. Serena blocks a kick, avoids the haymakers, then puts the leg on ropes! Serena goes to the apron, DRAPING DRAGON SCREW! Serena runs to CLOBBER Aminata from behind! Aminata falls back, clutches her leg, and now Mariah tags in. The Glamour sits Aminata up to run and SHOTGUN her down! Mariah then sucker punches Yuka for the hell of it! Mariah mockingly says, “Okay~!” a la Yuka, but the ref reprimands. The fans boo, Aminata ROCKS Mariah, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Mariah puts Aminata in the corner to CHOP! Mariah stomps Aminata, bumps her off buckles, then stomps her some more. The ref counts, Mariah digs her boot in, but she lets off at 4. Mariah brings Aminata over, tags Serena with some stank, and Serena stomps Aminata. Serena UPPERCUTS Aminata, UPPERCUTS again, then headlocks for a takeover. Serena quickly floats to tie up the legs, and she puts Aminata in Paradise! Serena sits on Aminata, soaks up the cheers and jeers, then rallies the fans as she gets space. Serena runs up to DROPKICK Aminata out of Paradise! Serena again soaks up cheers and jeers while Aminata clutches her cheeks.

Serena taunts Aminata, but Aminata fires body shots. Serena UPPERCUTS Aminata, reels her in, and short arm LARIATS! Cover, TWO! Aminata toughs it out but Serena drags her back up. Serena hits a TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Cover, TWO! Aminata is still in this, but she pushes Aminata around. Serena pie faces Aminata, pie faces her again, then eggs her on. Serena scuffs Aminata, but Aminata fires forearms! Serena fires back, then UPPERCUTS! Aminata pushes Serena, then ROCKS her! Serena SLAPS, ROCKS, then kicks Aminata as Dynamite returns to single picture. Aminata SLAPS back! So Serena SLAPS again!

The fans fire up, Serena reels Aminata in, but Aminata BACKDROPS free! Hot tag to Yuka, she goes up a corner, and she MISSILE DROPKICKS! Mariah runs in, Yuka dodges and RANAS! Mariah tumbles, Yuka runs up, GAMANGIRI in the corner! Yuka scoops Serena for a NORTHERN LIGHTS BOMB! Then she suplexes Mariah onto Serena! The fans fire up and Yuka covers Serena, TWO! Serena is still in this but Yuka aims. SUPERKICK and down goes Serena! Cover, Mariah drags Yuka up with a waistlock! GERMAN SUPLEX! Aminata gets in, she GERMAN SUPLEXES Mariah! The fans fire up but now Serena GERMAN SUPLEXES Aminata!

Wilkes-Barre fires up as they become Suplex City! But here comes Yuka to hammerlock, scoop and SPIN with Serena, for the MERRY-GO-DOWN! The fans fire up while Serena writhes, and Yuka shakes out the stars. Yuka sees everyone outside, so she goes up the ropes! MAGICAL GIRL SPLASH to the outside! Everyone falls and the fans fire up as Yuka says, “OKAY~!” Yuka puts Serena in, calls her shot, and then goes up the ropes. MAGICAL GIRL SPLASH! Cover, Mariah CLOBBERS Yuka, with the belt!! The ref sees it clear as day, he calls the disqualification!

Winners: Yuka Sakazaki & Queen Aminata, by disqualification

The Glamour doesn’t care, she just didn’t want anyone else having their moment. Mariah drags Yuka around, CLUBS her down, then picks up the belt so she can LASH her with it! And again! And again! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Mariah just grinds Yuka’s face into the belt! Mariah drags Yuka up, kisses her on the cheek, then pushes her down. Mariah doesn’t care that she’s a bad girl, because she’s the champion! Will she always be the champion when she’s willing to resort to the lowest of lows?

Mina Shirakawa speaks.

“Mariah May, I have not heard from you in months. I watched you win the AEW Women’s World Championship at Wembley Stadium! And now, you say you want Mina? You have changed, Mariah. I don’t know if I like what you’ve become. But… I still miss you! We had so many good times together, and we could have even more. In my heart, I want Mariah. So, you want to celebrate? Do you really want Mina? Does AEW really want Mina? Well, get ready, cuz Mina is coming~!” The Fighting Gravure Idol is on her way back, but will she celebrate with Mariah? Or will she slap some sense into her before Mariah goes off the deep end?

AEW looks at the storied rivalry of Bryan Danielson VS Nigel McGuinness.

Nigel says, “You hear ‘No one knows you were a wrestler’ enough, you start to believe it. Bryan and I always brought out the best, or some might say the worst, of each other.” Mark Briscoe says that rivalry was one of the things that put ROH on the map. Roderick Strong says they were both trying to prove something to the world and each other. It was the epitome of pure pro-wrestling. Jerry Lynn says Bryan is the best in the world, but maybe not if Nigel hadn’t been sidelined for so long. Roddy says Nigel saw he wasn’t valued like Bryan, so it gave him something to chase. Mark says Nigel felt slighted by how Bryan was the “golden boy.”

Nigel wanted people to see him the way they did Bryan. Nigel has always been Nigel’s worst enemy. Nigel knows he can’t go back and get back those lost years. But what he can get now, is redemption from the one man that everyone knows was a wrestler, perhaps the most famous wrestler in the world, The American Dragon, Bryan Danielson. That match is set for Grand Slam, but will Bryan be able to give Nigel the fight he wants?

Jon Moxley heads to the ring.

Leading the way for his Blackpool Combat Club, The Maniac makes his way from the back of the crowd to the ringside area. And despite what Moxley did to Bryan Danielson, the fans are still excited to see Moxley, only for Private Party to go after him! But with Claudio & Marina around, that’s a 3v2 fight! Private Party is TOSSED to the ring, but they get up to keep fighting! Claudio SWINGS Quen into railing! Moxley sends Zay into steel steps! Marina drags Zay up for Moxley to get in his face, and Claudio gives Quen a CHOKE SLAM BACKBREAKER! Quen sputters as Claudio pushes him down, and Moxley CHOKES Zay!

Claudio CHOKE SLAM BACKBREAKERS again! The fans are going nuts as Moxley drags Zay up and throws him into steel steps again! Marina doesn’t let Zay rest, she stomps a mudhole into him against the railing! Moxley and Claudio just let Marina handle this as she SLINGS Zay into railing. Then Moxley sits Zay up for a SLEEPER, and Marina fires body shots and KICKS! They push Zay down, but Zay is still grabbing at Moxley! Wait, Komander is here! Private Party’s amigo has been teaming with them on Collision, so now he’s here to DROPKICK Claudio off the apron! Komander builds speed to DIVE, but into an UPPERCUT!

Komander sputters, Moxley says hold on, don’t forget Alex Abrahantes. Marina grins as she storms up on The Hype Man, and SWLINGS him down! She takes his mic, and Claudio TOSSES Komander into the crowd! Moxley brings out the toolbox from under the ring! Moxley grabs a hammer while Claudio TOSSES Zay into the stage lights! Moxley has the mic now, too, and he tells Private Party, “I could end your careers right now for what you just did. But I’m not gonna do that. I’m not gonna do that.” Marina & Claudio hold Zay down, arms outstretched, against the stage. Moxley knows Private Party’s been in AEW since the beginning. That’s five years!

But they’re in the exact same spot as they were five years ago! Why is that? Moxley gives them a bit of what they’ve been missing. He’ll give them some friction, some resistance, an obstacle to overcome. Consider this a gift! Then Moxley SMASHES Zay’s hand with a hammer!! Fans lose their minds and Zay writhes in pain! The fans tell Moxley he is sick, but then Darby Allin CLOBBERS Claudio from behind, with his skateboard!! The fans fire up, but Moxley TOSSES Darby into the ring! Moxley runs up, shoves Darby, but Darby isn’t backing down! The fans fire up as these two circle, waiting for the other to swing.

Marina has Claudio stay back, this is getting interesting. Darby runs up but Moxley bails out! Darby grabs the mic now and tells Moxley, “When’re you gonna realize I am NOT the same guy you knew five years ago!?” Darby is going to run through Moxley at Grand Slam, then he’ll walk into WrestleDream, in his home state, and he will become the NEXT AEW World Champion!! The fans are fired up for that! Will Darby make it through The Maniac to make his WrestleDream come true? Or will Moxley show that even a Relentless One has his limits?

Jack Perry drives in his Scapegoat Bus.

An All Points Bulletin is put out for the black bus with white lettering, and we get a highlight reel of his All Out match with Bryan Danielson. His words are repeated, “People like me are crucified in this life so we can be worshipped in the next.” We get a highlight reel of his TNT Championship defenses. He is fighting for something, and he can’t stop now. This is the beginning of his era, and those who hate him are those who can’t handle the truth. Then is the truth of AEW’s future going to be that no one is going to stop Face of TNT?

Ricochet VS The Beast Mortos!

The One & Only is on the tail of Will Ospreay and that AEW International Championship, but it seems that has brought him across the path of a menacing minotaur. One way or another, is this battle about to be #OuttaThisWorld?

The fans fire up as Ricochet DIVES! Direct hit and Mortos tumbles up the ramp! Ricochet says he’s too good! Ricochet then drags Mortos up, puts him in the ring, and aims. Springboard and FLYING LARIAT! The fans fire up and Ricochet keeps moving, RUNNING SHOOTING STAR! Cover, TWO! Mortos is tough but Ricochet stays focused. Ricochet KICKS, whips, but Mortos reverses. Ricochet rolls off the back, rolls under, but Mortos deflects the handspring! Mortos runs, rolls off Ricochet’s back and arm-drags! Ricochet comes back to arm-drag! Ricochet runs, RANAS, but Mortos handsprings through!? Mortos RANAS, Ricochet handsprings through!

Ricochet sweeps, covers, ONE! Ricochet avoids the sweep to superhero pose! The fans are thunderous and Mortos is frustrated. Mortos and Ricochet circle while Mortos seethes. Mortos runs up, Ricochet BOOTS the lariat! Mortos returns, Ricochet dodges then ENZIGIRIS! Mortos tumbles out, but he hurries back up to the apron. Ricochet SUPERKICKS Mortos, builds speed, and he FLIES, but Mortos catches him, to APRON POWERBOMB! Ricochet writhes, fans lose their minds, and Mortos roars while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Mortos drags Ricochet up, SMACKS him again, and then puts Ricochet in the ring. Mortos stalks Ricochet as he flounders, and then clamps on for a neck wrench. The ref reprimands as Mortos fishhooks Ricochet, so Mortos changes to a chinlock. Ricochet endures, fights up, but Mortos throws him down by his head! Cover, TWO! Ricochet stays in this, but Mortos stays on him with a seated cobra twist! Mortos punches away on Ricochet’s ribs but Ricochet still endures. Mortos pushes Ricochet down to cover, TWO! Mortos is annoyed, but he drags Ricochet up to put him in a corner. Mortos SMACKS Ricochet down again, and he soaks up more cheers and jeers. Ricochet sits up in a daze, Mortos storms back over to him, and Mortos drags ricochet up. Mortos SMACKS Ricochet yet again, and Ricochet flops over! Mortos scares the ref before going back for more. Dynamite returns to single picture as Mortos clamps on another chinlock.

The fans rally, Ricochet endures and fights up. Ricochet fires body shots, but Mortos CLUBS him! Mortos drags Ricochet up, Ricochet fights free and fires forearms and CHOPS! Ricochet goes to run but Mortos stops him! Mortos whips Ricochet to a corner, runs in, but is sent into buckles! Corner 619 from Ricochet, and then he springboards in again! Mortos gets under, so Ricochet handsprings, only to get caught! GERMAN SUPLEX, but Ricochet lands on his feet! Ricochet hops up, Mortos slips free, and he shoves Ricochet to POP-UP SAMOAN DROP! Cover, the ref says the shoulders aren’t down! Mortos shifts to get them down, cover, TWO!!

The beast gave him one hell of a battle, but Ricochet is the One & Only for a reason! Will he soon be the number one contender to the Aerial Assassin’s International Champion?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

Given last week’s conclusion to Collision, in which The Outrunners helped FTR fight off the Grizzled Young Veterans,  a MASSIVE All Star 10 Man Tag match has been made! FTR and The Outrunners team with Hook to take on GYV, The Beast Mortos, Rush and Roderick Strong! Will Cash, Dax, Turbo, Truth and the FTW Champion stand tall as the “Youngest Top Guys Alive?” Or will Zack Gibson, James Drake, two bulls and the Savior of the Backbreaker teach them to #GritYourTeeth?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes out to the ring, Hangman Adam Page! Wilkes-Barre is torn seeing the Black Hat Cowboy make his way out here given everything he’s done the last two weeks. Hangman goes right to the ring, and Schiavone just wants a word with him. At All Out, Hangman got his win in what was perhaps the most violent match in AEW history against Swerve Strickland. But then a week ago, he went so far as to say that this is not over. Hangman has warned anyone and everyone who would support Swerve or be in Hangman’s way. What was he talking about? The fans are all over the place with “Swerve’s House!” and “Cowboy Sh*t!” as Hangman thinks on his words.

Hangman says he has watched and listened for a long time, because he knew a day like this would come. He knew the day would come when Swerve Strickland was dealt with, and he would be GONE! Hangman paces before saying, “And I knew that it wouldn’t be just Swerve who needed to pay what had happened to me. There would be dozens and dozens of people who stood behind him, people who protected him from me, and people who supported Swerve Strickland.” The dueling continues, but Hangman says apparently, he is surrounded by those people now! People here cheered Swerve Strickland all the way to the world championship!

Those people cheer now, and Hangman says they were people who would cheer Swerve through every defense, and even when he was finally locked in a steel cage with his fate! And when Hangman hears those voices, he is reminded of the four months he sat at home suspended. He heard all the cheering, and then he remembered. He seemed to hear another voice cheering Swerve on. He heard that voice loud and clear above them all. A voice coming clear from the commentary desk… Uh oh. Hangman looks right at Schiavone! Schiavone brings up Jeff Jarrett, but Hangman says Jarrett is not here now, is he? But Schiavone is…!

Hangman corners Schiavone, Schiavone wants to apologize, but wait! Jarrett IS here! The fans cheer as Double J storms down to the ring! And Hangman is right on him! Hangman HAMMERS away on Jarrett, gets him out of the ring, and then whips him hard into railing! Jarrett goes up and over into the crowd, but Hangman is right in him! Hangman TOSSES Jarrett back over! Jarrett grabs a chair but Hangman hits him first! Hangman keeps throwing haymakers on Jarrett, then SMACKS Jarrett off the railing! And then Hangman puts Jarrett back in the ring, and takes aim from the apron! But security grabs Hangman’s legs!

The fans boo but Hangman kicks free of the guards. Jarrett comes back for more! The security and refs get in there to separate them, but fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!” Hangman bails out of the ring, Jarrett wants to pursue, but Jay Lethal stops him! Lethal wants his teammate to think this through! The rest of Team Triple J is here, too, from Sonjay to Satnam to Karen Jarrett. Jarrett glares at Hangman from the ring, then asks for a mic. A mic is given, and Jarrett tells Hangman, “I’ll be damned if I’m gonna sit back there and let you put one freakin’ finger on Tony Schiavone!” The fans cheer that!

Jarrett says in fact, there is an entire locker room that wants to beat the hell outta Hangman, and The Last Outlaw is first in line! “Hanger, as I have affectionately come to know you by that name, I’m gonna make a promise to you. If it’s the last thing I do in my career, somehow, someway, some place, The Last Outlaw is gonna kick your ass!” The fans fire up for that, too! When, where and how will we see that happen between these two wild cowboys?

Backstage interview with Ricochet.

Renee Paquette is now with The One & Only and congratulates him on the big win over Beast Mortos. But then in steps Will Ospreay! Ospreay apologizes to Renee, but asks for a word with Ricochet. Renee steps aside and Ospreay says he should’ve known things are always a little heated between them. He apologizes for before. Ricochet says no need to be sorry. But uh, since he’s here, there’s something Ospreay needs to know. Ricochet was thinking on what Ospreay told him. Does Ospreay remember what he said? That he needs to get wins. Yeah, that’s right. To go get wins and come see Ospreay, like Ospreay’s the big main event around here.

But here’s how it is from Ricochet’s point of view. From Ricochet’s perspective, the moment he stepped here in AEW, it has been nothing but everyone else going out of their way to call Ricochet out, like they gotta prove to the world that they’re better than Ricochet. So it seems like everyone here is more worried about him than he is of them. And it seems that everyone is more worried about Ricochet than they are of Ospreay. No one’s calling Ospreay out. So Ricochet will do the honors. He knows next week, Ospreay is busy, reuniting the United Empire with Kyle Fletcher or whatever, trying to win tag team gold. Ricochet wishes him nothing but the best.

But the following week, maybe Ospreay won’t be too busy. Because Ricochet took Ospreay’s advice. Ricochet talked with Tony Khan. And on October 2nd, Dynamite’s FIVE YEAR Anniversary, it will be Ricochet VS Ospreay for the International Championship! Ricochet knows he and Ospreay had matches against each other that literally changed the landscape of pro-wrestling. And over these past couple of years, sure, Ospreay has been #OnAnotherLevel. But Ricochet is still Ricochet, he is #OuttaThisWorld, and on October 2nd, Ospreay finds out why! See you soon. Real soon. Little brother.

Ricochet heads out, giving Ospreay a lot to think about. But can Ospreay focus on what’s ahead of him? The Six Man Tag main event is up, after the break!

Six Man Tag: Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita VS The Elite!

The Aerial Assassin reunited with The Aussie Arrow as a favor to the Don Callis Family, but he isn’t back in the family because of it. But even so, Ospreay & Fletcher still won the right to challenge The Young Bucks for the AEW World Tag Team Championships via the first-ever Tag Team Casino Gauntlet! At the same time, The Alpha wants to show the Fatal 4 Way at All Out proved nothing, and he is after Kazuchika Okada’s Continental Championship! Are the walls closing in on The Elite? Or can Matthew, Nicholas & The Rainmaker find a way through their own gauntlet?

The trios sort out and the fans sing for “Ospreay~, Ospreay Ospreay Ospreay~!” but it is Kyle starting against Nick. They circle, feel out a knuckle lock, but Nick kicks low, CLUBS away, then headlocks. Kyle powers up and out, Nick RAMS him, but Kyle rebounds to RUN Nick over! Ospreay says no thanks, but Okada kicks him again! Okada whips, Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges and RANAS! The fans fire up and Ospreay fires forearms on Okada.

Ospreay brings Okada over, reaches for Kyle, but Konosuke not only snipes the tag, he basically CHOPS Ospreay on the back for it! Ospreay gets mad, Kyle asks what the what, and Konosuke steps in to say Ospreay has to get out. But then Okada shoves Ospreay into Konosuke! Okada tags to Matt, and The Elite all go after the Don Callis Family! They all scoop and SLAM each man, and then they go to the apron. TRIPLE SLINGSHOT SENTONS! And then The Elite all pose together, Rainmaker Pose between the Bucks’ signature flexing! But The Family rises up, and they all CLUB and CHOP in return! The Family whips, The Elite bail out, and they pose more!

So The Family just TRIPLE WRECKING BALL DROPKICK! The fans fire up with “OI! OI! OI!” as we get TRIPLE PLANCHAS! Ospreay high-fives fans, he and The family stand tall, and Fletcher winds up to CHOP Matt! Konosuke SMACKS Okada off the apron, and then throws him into railing as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Matt brings Ospreay around and around to TOSS him out! Ospreay staggers up, but Nick & Okada whip him into steel steps! Nick puts Okada back in the ring while the ref is busy with Konosuke. Matt stomps Ospreay, tags Nick, and then the Bucks coordinate. BACKBREAKER to slingshot LEG DROP! Cover, ONE!! Ospreay is still tougher than all that, but Nick stomps him around. Nick drags Ospreay down to scrape his soles off Ospreay’s face! Ospreay goes to a corner, Nick brings him around to scrape his face on the ropes! The ref reprimands, but Okada tags in. The mugging continues, and Okada snapmares Ospreay to run and basement DROPKICK!

Okada paces, taunts Kyle & Konosuke, then tags Nick. Nick CLAWS Ospreay’s back, CHOPS him, then brings him around again. Dynamite returns as Nick whips Ospreay into the Elite corner. Nick runs up, but into  BOOT! Ospreay fire elbows, dodges Nick, then hot tags Kyle! Kyle rallies on Nick with haymakers! Matt gets in to CLAW Kyle’s back! The Bucks double whip, but Kyle ducks the double lariats! He then breaks the second attempt, and then DOUBLE LARIATS The Bucks! The fans are thunderous as The Bucks go to corners. Kyle runs up, forearm SMASH for Matt! Nick runs in, is sent into Matt, then gets a SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF for his troubles!

Konosuke whips, Okada reverses, but the TAKESHITA LINE comes outta nowhere! The fans fire up as Konosuke ROCKS Okada in a corner! Okada drops to his knees, Konosuke deadlift suplexes for a BRAINBUSTER! Konosuke climbs up, shouts, “C’MON~!” and the fans fire up! SUPER SENTON! Cover, TWO!! Okada stays in this but Konosuke tells Ospreay now, choto matte. Konosuke lifts but Okada fights with a headlock and elbows.

Okada runs, Konosuke reels him in to back suplex! Okada lands on his feet, kicks low, and DDTS! The Bucks run in to BLAST Ospreay & Kyle! The Elite regroup, and Okada sends Nick at Konosuke. Konosuke TOSSES Nick up and out onto the apron! Okada sends Matt but Konosuke does the same! Okada runs in, but Konosuke dodges! The DOUBLEGIRI hits Okada! Then Kyle & Ospreay BLAST The Bucks! Konosuke just says nope! DOUBLE LARIATS!! The fans are thunderous but then Okada SHOTGUNS Konosuke down! All six men are down and the fans are electric for “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Okada goes to a corner and grits his teeth. Konosuke slowly rises, he runs up on Okada, but Okada pops him up into the Alabama Lift! REVERSE NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Konosuke survives and Okada snarls, and Dynamite goes picture in picture once again!

Okada huffs ‘n’ puffs and then puts Konosuke in a corner. Okada whips corner to corner, runs in, and ELBOWS! Konosuke staggers then falls, and Okada tags Nick. Nick drags Konosuke around to rain down fists! The ref reprimands, Nick lets off to soak up heat, and it seems only Matt is applauding. Nick goes back for Konosuke to KICK him in the back! Konosuke writhes, but Nick scrapes laces off his face! Then a JAWBREAKER! Konosuke staggers to a corner, Matt tags in, and The Bucks double whip to DOUBLE ELBOW! Konosuke is down, and Matt drops a knee! Then he stomps Konosuke down! Konosuke writhes more but Matt looms over him.

Matt drags Konosuke up, wrenches an arm, and he tags Nick back in. Nick climbs, and he DOUBLE STOMPS the arm! Nick taunts Kyle, the ref has to keep Kyle back, and The Bucks put Konosuke back in the corner. Nick does his Macho Man impression, but Konosuke fires forearms! Winners: Will Ospreay, Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita, by pinfall

The graphic even shows, United Empire took this one! Callis lets it be as he and Kyle shake hands and hug it out with Ospreay. Ospreay offers a handshake to Konosuke, but Konosuke just pie faces Ospreay! Callis says hey, it’s alright. They’re all going for gold, it’s all about the money. Crowns up from Ospreay and Kyle, but will they be holding the belts up after next week? Or will it be The Bucks that win this golden doubles in Arthur Ashe Stadium?

My Thoughts:

A great episode of Dynamite as the go-home to Grand Slam, though not without some stumbles. The video package for Bryan VS Nigel had technical difficulties, but it happens, so that is fine. The video itself was great stuff, a bit like what you’d get for a PPV hype, and while they’re keeping us in suspense, you gotta know Bryan VS Nigel 2024 is still happening. The more confusing stuff is in the BCC Trios Championship story. The promo Pac did with the group was labeled “last week,” but Pac and Claudio each said the title match was to be “next week.” But then Alex Marvez says it’s for AEW Grand Slam. Was that backstage promo not recorded last week and just before the show tonight? Details like this matter, TK, so you need to iron them all out before airing these things!

Yuta’s promo was alright, on the level of his promo from Collision last Saturday. It is tricky to play conflicted and scatterbrained without just being awkward, so you can’t get too mad at him. But I do appreciate the bottom line being Yuta will separate business and personal, for now. At the same time, it’d be hilarious and clever if Yuta just let the other team pin him so he could piss off Pac and Claudio while establishing himself as Team Bryan. But another hiccup in the story was that the title match was made an Open Challenge. Pac acted like a #1 contender had been decided, but I guess you can’t get the story with Private Party & Komander if there was another team lined up, another detail that should be ironed out before going live.

I will say that Private Party & Komander stepping up, then getting beat down, was all good story material. Moxley literally hammering Zay’s hand, that brings the title match into question, but I have been wondering where Scorpio Sky is in all this. He had that one promo with Private Party, but Komander ended up their third man. But now that Zay can’t go, they need a new third man, so is this Scorpio’s way back into the story? Here’s hoping so, because Scorpio deserves to get back into a major story, and if his team does win the belts, that adds to Scorpio’s résumé. He’s an inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champion, an AEW TNT Champion, the Trios belts would mean he’s 3/4ths towards an AEW Grand Slam, so why not take advantage of the planets aligning?

Darby also getting his part with Moxley was great, and as he put forward, the winner goes on to WrestleDream in Tacoma, Washington, so I hope Darby finds a way to win out. We got a really good promo segment from The Patriarchy with Kip Sabian, we’ll get a great Fatal 4 Way, and something makes me think Kip’s going to turn and join The Patriarchy, so that they can go for a fully golden faction at some point. Also, good promo from Jack Perry, even inf most of the material was recycled. It would be so wild if Christian’s greed for more belts brought him into a feud with The Scapegoat, and somehow that is the catalyst for Luchasaurus finally breaking from Christian.

Very good tag team match from Yuka & Aminata VS Mariah & Serena. There was some logical dysfunction on the Heel side as everyone wants the title belt. And in the end, Mariah using that belt to throw the match and beat down Yuka of course gives us a title match there. Doesn’t sound like it’ll be for Grand Slam, but it could be for the Dynamite Anniversary. At the same time, Mina Shirakawa has a good promo to say she’s going to show back up on AEW. It feels like they could give us a big moment between Mariah and Mina on the Dynamite Anniversary show, and that sets up Mariah VS Mina for WrestleDream.

Great match from Cassidy VS Jericho with all the natural overbooking. I’m actually a bit surprised Cassidy won, I thought Jericho would win and compel another big stipulation match so Jericho could basically do what he’d been doing with the FTW Championship and use rather unique items to beat up on Cassidy. But who knows, maybe there’s an attack on Collision like there was last Saturday. JD Ink is definitely living the gimmick as he has a LOT of tattoos. Hook of course squashed him easily, and we got a decent encounter between him and The Kingdom. That 10 Man Tag for Collision is wild but I kinda like it.

Speaking of which, awesome match from Ricochet VS Mortos, but we were getting nothing less from those two. Very good promo from Ricochet with Ospreay backstage, with Ricochet kinda turning things around on Ospreay. Their Dynamite Anniversary match is going to be incredible, and honestly could go either way given these other moving parts in Ospreay’s story. The Six Man Tag was a great main event, maybe one spot longer than it needed, but I suppose they wanted to get all the Aussie Open moves in. Great win for Ospreay & The Don Callis Family, but that of course means next week, The Bucks find some sneaky way to win.

For one, they gave us the United Empire graphics, and that seems like a little too soon on purpose. It would’ve been a bigger moment if the graphic was put up after Ospreay & Kyle won, but if that’s not happening, they gotta get that shot in now. As I have been saying on previous Dynamites, it feels like Kyle will take the loss, Callis will get mad, Ospreay will defend Kyle, something else happens, Kyle is kicked out of Don Callis Family so that he and Ospreay really will bring The United Empire into AEW. Plus, what’s going on with Rush? Is he Don Callis Family or not? They kinda stopped that story once Konosuke returned from the G1, and I hope Rush is involved again, should Kyle actually be ejected from The Family.

My Score: 8.9/10

Jack vows that NO ONE is taking this from him! “The people who don’t like me are the people who can’t handle the truth.” Jack goes right back to the parking lot and his bus, to drive off into the sunset. Will The Scapegoat Express never stop its world tour?

Backstage interview with Wheeler Yuta.

Lexy Nair catches The Decoder as he enters the building now, and she knows this goes without being said, but… We all witnessed the horrific events of All Out and what happened to Bryan Danielson. How is Bryan? Yuta says Bryan… Out of respect for him and his family, Yuta won’t share too much. But Bryan is doing the best he can, given the circumstances. Yuta realizes he forgot his boots, spaces out a bit, but starts again. He hasn’t really talked with any of the other guys… And what about Yuta’s match tonight? Yuta says Anthony Henry is one incredibly talented, incredibly tough competitor.

But one thing Bryan told Yuta, the reason Bryan loves professional wrestling is because in the ring, he feels he’s meant to be there and everything else can be put on pause. So Yuta will try and channel that tonight. Yuta heads on to the locker room, will he be able to clear his mind once he’s in the ring?

Six Man Tag: Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly & Holo.grm VS The Beast Mortos & The Premier Athletes!

The Conglomeration has had a great week so far, but it could be even bigger given who they’re teaming with tonight! Will the futuristic luchador continue to raise the bar in AEW? Or will he, The Chicken and the Violent Artist all be brought down to earth by Ariya Daivari, Tony Nese and the menacing minotaur?

Oh wait, Mark Sterling of course has to talk. He knows we know who they are, but he’s sure we’re all wondering why they’re teaming with The Beast Mortos. That is because The Conglomeration and Hologram have been thorns in their side for the past two months! They used some of Daivari’s substantial funds to enlist two horns they can stick into The Conglomeration’s side! But to make sure everyone is on the same page, they’re going to do a team building exercise that even the idiots here in Ohio can understand! When Sterling says, “Athletes!” you say, “Rule!” Nothing else, got it? Hands in… “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!”

The teams sort out, and Kyle steps up against Nese. They circle, the fans fire up, and the two tie up. Kyle waistlocks, Nese drop toeholds, and he floats to a facelock. Kyle wrenches out, facelocks, then wrenches to a wristlock. Nese endures, pulls at the tights, but Kyle wrenches again. Nese rolls, wrenches, wristlocks, and YANKS Kyle around. Kyle spins to drop toehold back, and now Kyle facelocks. Kyle wrenches an arm, tags Mark, and they mug Nese. The fans rally as Mark wrenches and YANKS the arm again and again. Nese powers up and puts Mark in the corner, tag to Daivari. The Premier Athletes mug Mark while fans boo.

The ref reprimands, Nese & Daivari let off, and Daivari drags Mark up. Daivari CHOPS Mark, whisp him, but Mark slides under and REDNECK KUNG-FU UPPERCUTS! Then he CHOPS! And ROCKS! And CHOPS again! Mark whips corner to corner, Daivari reverses, but Mark goes up and out to ROCK Daivari! RKF UPPERCUT! Then a BOOT! Mark fires up the fans, then he brings Daivari around. Mark whips, Daivari reverses, but Kyle tags in! Mark wrenches, kicks, and feeds the BOOT! Mark BLASTS Nese, fist-bumps Kyle, and Kyle drags Daivari up. Collision goes picture in picture as The Premier Athletes soak up the heat. Nese drags Kyle up and into the ring, then stalks him. Nese KICKS Kyle, then soaks up more heat. Nese fires body shots against the ropes, then lets off as the ref counts. Mortos tags in and he ROCKS Kyle! Kyle goes to a corner, Mortos whips corner to corner, but Kyle dodges! Mortos hits buckles, but he still BOOTS back! And SLING-DOGS! And SNAP POWERSLAMS! Cover, Mark breaks it! The ref reprimands and Mortos seethes, but he goes back for Kyle. Daivari TOSSES Hologram, but Kyle fires off a strike fest on Daivari! The KNEE sends Daivari out, and then Kyle goes out! FLYING KNEE! Down goes Daivari, but then Nese ROUNDHOUSES and LEG SWEEPS Kyle! Nese runs to FOSBURY FLOP! Down goes Kyle, but Hologram DIVES! Direct hit and the fans are thunderous! Hologram fires up, too, but Mortos TOPE TORNILLOS!! But then Mark has a chair!

The fans are thunderous again as Mark sets the chair up, builds speed, but Sterling snatches the chair away! The fans boo, Mark LOW BLWOS Sterling! Lexy Nair is with The Glamour, and says she has been AEW Women’s World Champion for a few weeks now, but has yet to hold her championship celebration. Yes, she has, and she isn’t doing it now in Dayton, Ohio. It’s just the Wish.com version of Cincinnati. Then in any case, Mariah invited Mina Shirakawa to return, and Mariah says her best times were with Mina. Stardom and Japan, here in AEW, but then somewhere along the way, bad things just happened. Mariah needs Mina. She can’t celebrate her win without Mina. Mariah wants Mina. Oh, sorry, can Mariah help you? We pan over to see Yuka Sakazaki!

Wheeler Yuta VS Anthony Henry w/ BEEF!

We saw how disheveled The Decoder is, even one week after the incident at All Out. But he’ll try his best to do what Bryan would do and use wrestling to clear his head. Will he succeed in shaking off this funk? Or will the Saint of Augusta take advantage of Yuta’s unsettled mindset?

The bell rings and Yuta circles with Henry. They tie up, Henry arm-drags Yuta, and Yuta backs off to the corner. Yuta resets with Henry, they tie up, and Henry arm-drags again! Henry brings Yuta up to then snap suplex into barriers! Yuta is all folded up, and the fans boo Henry while Collision goes picture in picture.

The ref checks Yuta, but Yuta manages to turn over. Yuta sits up but Henry brings him into the ring. Henry eggs Yuta on more, stomps his hands, then KICKS him in the chest! Backstage interview with Serena Deeb and Queen Aminata.

Lexy Nair notes The Professor has a match tonight against Yuka Sakazaki, and The One True African Woman also has a match tonight against Robyn Renegade. Serena asked for this time with Aminata, the floor is hers. Serena thanks Aminata for her time, it is very kind of her to hear Serena out. Now, Serena wants to continue their discussion from last time. Serena watched Aminata take on Mariah, and it was a great match, Aminata has a lot of potential. But Serena did say that Aminata isn’t ready. However, the offer still stands and Serena is very forgiving. So if Aminata wants to talk more, she knows where to find her.

Aminata tells Serena sorry, but she doesn’t freakin’ have time for this! She has her match to get ready for. Serena tells Queen Aminata to let the Professor show her how it’s done. Serena then turns to camera to address Yuka. The last time Yuka even had thoughts to step into the ring with Serena, her leg broke. Imagine what it’ll be like now that she’s actually taking Serena on tonight. See you later. Serena says that to Aminata as much as she does Yuka. Will there be no mercy in Deeb’s Dojo for the returning Wrestling Magical Girl? Will Deeb’s Dojo be adding a student after tonight? Or will nothing go quite how Serena expects?

Anna Jay speaks.

“I just got back from Japan, wrestling, learning, honing my skills and becoming the best that I can be. It was not easy. I was tired, I was sore, I was beat up. But let me tell you what I learned while I was there. I want more. So much more. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship. Mariah May is due for a very big receipt. And I’ve also never stepped into the ring with Mercedes Mone. So lemme make it easy for all of you. If you wanna see what an evolved Anna Jay has become, just try me.” The Queenslayer is back, will she become The Star of the Show once and for all?

Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness talk about Bryan Danielson.

Given the change to Grand Slam, where Darby Allin now defends his #1 contender status against Jon Moxley, Nigel is of course calling out The American Dragon for that same night. How can Nigel be sure Bryan will even be able to compete? Nigel can’t be sure, but neither can Tony Khan. But when Moxley convinced Darby to put the title shot on the line, he did it out of pure speculation. That is why Nigel told TK that they can’t know Bryan won’t be able to compete. So Nigel figured, if Bryan can show up, and Darby no longer available to face him, Nigel would like to. Nigel will be there, so the question is, will Bryan?

Nigel now talks to Bryan: If Bryan doesn’t show up, it isn’t because of his condition. It is because he fears Nigel McGuinness. Nigel’s said it before, so he’ll just show us what he means. Footage courtesy of ROH, Nigel and Bryan battled for THE ROH World Championship. Nigel narrates that he and Bryan were bitter rivals on equal standing, clashing for the gold in matches that had the wrestling world abuzz. But there has been no one before or since that has beaten Bryan Danielson so convincingly, so brutally, and so thoroughly!

No matter how much success Bryan has had in his career after ROH, even winning the AEW World Championship, Bryan is STILL haunted by the memories of facing Nigel. Even more now 16 YEARS later, Nigel being in the best shape of his life, better than Bryan ever was, and Bryan is a physical wreck! Nigel says no worries, Bryan. Win, lose or draw, Bryan will still be world champion. But let’s not make any bones about it: If Bryan shows up, Nigel will look to end Bryan’s career! Ball’s in Bryan’s court. How will The American Dragon respond with 11 days left before Grand Slam?

Yuka Sakazaki VS Serena Deeb!

The Magical Girl called out The Glamour, but The Professor has called out The Magical Girl! Will Yuka pass Serena’s test and head for the AEW Women’s World Championship? Or will Serena earn herself that opportunity instead?

They tie up, and Deeb wrenches an arm. Deeb wristlocks, Mariah says Deeb has taught her much so she wishes her luck. As for Yuka, break a leg. Deeb wrenches while Nigel laughs far too much at the joke. Yuka rolls, kips up, and wrenches to wristlock. Deeb rolls, rolls, and slips around to wrench and wristlock. Deeb wrangles Yuka, ties up the legs, and she has Yuka in Paradise! Deeb sits on Yuka, the fans are torn, but Mariah is amused.

Deeb flexes and Mariah jokes that this is child abuse. Yuka is a child as far as Mariah can tell. Schiavone says Yuka’s a ten year veteran, but Mariah says more like a 10-year-old. Yuka boxing elbows, then ROLLING- NO, Deeb ducks to wrench! Deeb drags Yuka down, around, reels her in, POWERBOMB! STRETCH MUFFLER!! Yuka endures, fights, and Mariah mockingly says Yuka might have to tap. The fans rally up, Yuka roars and crawls forward! ROPEBREAK! Deeb thrashes the leg, but she lets go at the ref’s count. Deeb drags Yuka back up, UPPERCUTS, but then Yuka ROCKS Deeb!

Top Flight Airlines talks backstage.

Leila Grey is so full, they just had a great dinner. But then Action Andretti speaks up. Why’re they going on about the food they just ate? Are they not pissed off like he’s pissed off? Look what they did just this week. Darius & Dante lost out on a chance to become AEW World Tag Team Champions. Lio Rush lost out on the TNT Championship. Action just lost on Rampage! He’s still hot! Lio asks why he’s still on it then. Chill out, it’s just a loss. No, man, it’s not “just” a loss! Look at them! They have so much potential together! They have something that very few have! This is Leila Grey, Top Flight, Lio Rush and Action Andretti, and all they’re talking about is food?!

Action snatches Dante’s burger and CHUCKS it at the production truck! Lio says calm down, Action! But Action looks at the truck and says look! Why aren’t they treated more like The House of Black? Does Top Flight not have wins over The House of Black? Why aren’t they going up against more teams like them and getting more wins? Lio says Action is just talking out his ass, and Leila says yeah, Action needs to calm down. The team needs to get it together, or they’re going nowhere. Action says yeah, they do. Action leaves, but where to? The others follow him, will The Sight to See make the others see his point of view?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision here, with lots of great story build. I even like this literal “Show up, win, leave” attitude Jack Perry is using. He and Daniels have a solid opening match, some real rough bumps taken but both guys were okay, and of course Jack won. But one of these times, someone has to either hijack the bus or surprise Jack from inside the bus. I mean, he just leaves it right there in the parking lot. Really good stuff with Yuta, too, though he kind of awkwardly played being distracted and disheveled. But in the match, he got it right as Henry insulted him and Bryan and then just went berserk. And good promo from Nigel to further call out Bryan, so you know Bryan’s gonna show up.

Great Six Man Tag from Conglomeration with Hologram against Mortos & Premier Athletes. I figured the Faces would win to keep Hologram going strong, but Mortos seems to just be going after anyone and everyone he wants. Ricochet from Dynamite, Hologram here, we’re going to get some great matches out of all of them as Ricochet builds up towards facing Ospreay for the International Championship. And we also got a very good showing from the new trio of Komander & Private Party, the alley-oop into the Gin & Juice is genius, and I feel like we’re definitely getting a Six Man Tag match, Fiesta Privada VS Moxley, Claudio & Pac. Non-title, but could be used as a plot point to compel a title match, and then Yuta has to decide whose side he is on.

Great Six Man Tag from Bang Bang Gang with Cage of Agony, and great win for Bang Bang Gang, they’ll be staying afloat as we wait on this World Trios Championship story to sort out. Very good promo segment from Top Flight Airlines, and while both sides of the argument are valid, I am leaning towards Action’s side. The whole faction could be doing so much more, they just need the opportunities. Though, calling out The House of Black might be a mistake. Good promo from The House of Black in response, calling out Top Flight and The Righteous, that sounds like a very good Trios Triple Threat in the making right there.

Very good stuff in the build of a new Women’s World Championship story here. Aminata and Deeb of course have their own issues brewing, but good revisit of Yuka and Deeb, which was the intended feud months ago before Yuka got hurt. Granted, there were parts of the match between Yuka and Deeb that were a bit rough, maybe it was a lot for Yuka’s return. But great win for Yuka, and then great stuff with her and Mariah, and that tag match made for Dynamite is going to be a lot of fun.

Very intriguing vignette from Stokely Hathaway. While he is still managing Statlander, he might be looking to expand into a full faction, which would be what the tag match videos are about. Good video showing Cassidy and Jericho in action at CMLL’s anniversary show, but Tony Schiavone misspoke, all the AEW guys lost that night. But then good follow-up of continuity both there in CMLL and here tonight with Jericho’s team beating Cassidy down. This adds some last minute heat to the Dynamite match, but I am very sure this all means Cassidy finds a way to win.

And awesome tag match main event from FTR VS GYV, and great win for FTR. I should’ve figured GYV would be sore losers about it, but I did not think The Outrunners would make the save. They are rapidly growing in popularity, even if it’s more for their hilarious gimmick. But between making amends with Infantry on ROH and coming out to help FTR, Outrunners look to be in a lot of 8 Man Tags in the near future. If things go right, they might even be tag team champions before the year is over. But probably ROH tag titles more than AEW tag titles.

My Score: 8.8/10
