Wes Lee arrives backstage.
And right away, Sarah Schreiber asks, why? Why did he turn on his brothers, The Rascalz? Wes says it is time for him to take what’s his. Wes leaves, and Ethan Page steps in to take over. He even puts an All Ego mic sleeve to say we’re live on USA Network! And if you were watching last week, The Great American Bash on SyFy, you saw him defeat Oro Mensah, you saw Wes Lee finally grow a spine and drop that deadweight, boo-hoo-hoo. But more excitingly, YOUR NXT Champion is about to address the NXT Universe, so hit his music! The fans boo as Ethan struts his way to the ring.
Ethan continues says now to cut the music. Ladies and gentlemen, the NXT Universe wanted so badly for Oro to dethrone Ethan as NXT Champion. BUT what Oro found out, and what everyone found out, is when Ethan Page says it, it comes true. Ethan said he was talented, that he had the skills to back it up, and he calls himself All Ego, so he has every single right to do so. The Era of Ego will continue to roll on and roll on strong! Nobody is taking this title from Ethan Page! Hell, Ethan heard Wes Lee chirping. Wes isn’t taking this from Ethan! Trick Williams, if by some miracle he manages to “figure out” Pete Dunne, he isn’t taking it.
Hell! Pete Dunne could break every single finger Ethan has, and it would not loosen the grip Ethan has on this championship! Because the Era of Ego will roll on. Ladies and gentlemen, this is not NXT. No no, this is N X ME. But wait! Joe Hendry is here! The fans sing along as he smiles and struts his own way to the ring. Hendry tells Ethan apologies for the interrupting, but Hendry told us that we wouldn’t even need to say his name, he’d just appear. And here he is! And looking at Ethan, we see why Ethan thinks he’s the talk of NXT. After all, he is THE NXT Champion. And at Heatwave, Ethan shocked the world when he won, and became the talk of NXT.
For about 90 seconds! Until this face appeared to close the show! The fans cheer Hendry on, and he tells Ethan, seriously, an incredible performance against Oro. Once again, Ethan was the talk of the town. But the truth is, the fans left here talking about Wes Lee. So it just seems that Ethan’s ego says one thing, but reality- Ethan stops Hendry there. He doesn’t have to listen to Hendry’s opinions or the fact he just wants to ramble. Just take that win from last week, and go back to TNA. Because if Ethan’s being honest here, Ethan doesn’t even know why Hendry’s still here.
Hendry says he is here for the same reason everyone is: to WIN the NXT Championship! The fans like the sound of that! The fans chant, “WE BELIEVE!” Ethan says of course… It makes sense. Everyone believes in Joe Hendry, right? The fans cheer again, and Ethan says clearly TNA believes. Clearly NXT believes. Clearly all the fans here and around the world BELIEVES~ in Joe Hendry! The fans cheer again, but Ethan says the only problem is… Ethan doesn’t! The fans boo, but Ethan says what he believes is that Hendry’s song makes him sick! Ethan also believes that Hendry is on the 14th minute of his 15 minutes of fame.
And Ethan believes in most of all, in his heart of hearts, is that if Hendry is silly enough to come after Ethan’s title, Ethan will expose Hendry for the flash in the pan that he is! Hendry says you can call him what you want, but he is no overnight success! Hendry has been grinding for over 10 YEARS! And he has made believers out of everyone who has watched him and who has faced him! Hall of Famers like Kurt Angle! Booker T is the president of the fan club! Ethan’s own boss, HBK, believes in Joe Hendry! Hendry will make a believer out of Ethan when he takes that title! And when Hendry does, he’ll take it to London, and Paris, and Tokyo!
And Scotland, and Canada, and Mexico! Ethan is freaking out as the music plays! OH NO, WES LEE SUPERKICKS Hendry!! Ethan loves it! Ethan still says Wes ain’t getting this belt, either! Who will be on top of NXT when it’s all said and done?
Wren Sinclair joins the No Quarter Catch Crew’s sparring.
Big night tonight, Charles! He’s gonna win their Heritage Cup and bring it back to the NQCC! Dempsey tells Wren to stay out of it, but she says she’s in the group now. And Tavion Heights really is in Japan! Who knew? Myles says he was telling her the whole time. Tavion’s having a great time, at least. Dempsey says enough chit chat! It’s been THREE months that Dempseys’ been after this. Okay, she’ll meet you out there. Wren goes one way, the boys go the other, but will the crew show The Don no quarter and take back the gold?
Ava Raine meets with the NXT Women’s Division.
The NXT General Manager welcomes everyone, from Wren Sinclair to Jaida Parker, Karmen Petrovic, to Sol Ruca and Dani Palmer. Stevie Turner had a great idea! Robert Stone realizes now Stevie stole his idea! But Ava continues to say that since the NXT Women’s Division is so stacked, and because NXT is the land of opportunity, it is time to decide the participants in a Gauntlet Eliminator! It will be those who have never had a top title match. The winner of that will go on to No Mercy to challenge Roxanne Perez for THE NXT Women’s Championship. Everyone is excited, and Stevie assures this is all chosen at random, another of her brilliant ideas.
Stone sighs and rolls the lottery drum. The first entry will be… Wren Sinclair! Wren is pumped, and hurries to catch up with NQCC. Then second is… Adrianna Rizzo! She’s also out by the ring for the Heritage Cup match. And then third is… Sol Ruca! The Sol Surfer is pumped, and Ava tells Stevie this is such a great idea. Stone has had it! He reveals hits was HIS idea! The assistants argue, Ava tries to keep the peace, and the lottery will continue later tonight. Who else will be given this great opportunity to go for gold?

Kelani Jordan and Lola Vice talk backstage.
Lola says Tatum put up a good fight, but Kelani proved why she is champ. Kelani thanks Lola for that, but they look over and see that Tatum isn’t taking it well… Kelani would love to help Tatum, but where do they even stand? And then Wendy Choo got involved… Plus, Tatum’s a little… Lola says she’ll handle it. Tatum talks to her Kelani doll but Lola says hey, it’s okay. NO! She has nothing! Kelani isn’t her friend! Wendy isn’t her friend! And frankly, neither is Lola, so what does she even want? Wow, excuse you. Oh, sorry. Not everyone can be popular MMA fighters who get everything handed to them.
Handed to them? Lola isn’t sure where Tatum’s going with this. Tatum says she’ll show her. It seems that while Tatum doesn’t have friends, she has found herself a new “playmate.” But will Lola hand Tatum another defeat to add to her collection?
We hear from Eddy Thorpe and Lexis King.
The Alpha Wolf says, “I’m a New Age Native American striving to go beyond the stereotypes, but I refuse to assimilate to the expectations of a world outside the reservation. DJ’ing and my music is a key part of who I am, and dancing is an important part of my culture. Lexis King doesn’t have the respect, or the brains, to understand that.” Meanwhile, the Drama King admits that music is important. But it has to be the right kind of music. And Eddy’s music is a disgrace! EDM is evil! He’s doing Eddy’s tribe a favor by smashing Eddy’s hand! And now, Eddy wants another shot at The King? Eddy is as moronic as the music he creates.
Differences of opinion are one thing, but is King going to learn to respect differences? Or will he at least learn to shut his mouth and keep his opinions to himself?
Eddy Thorpe VS Lexis King!
NXT returns as DJ Eddy makes his entrance, only for Lexis to attack from behind! The fans boo as the brawl is on, and Lexis puts Eddy in the ring. The bell rings, Eddy dodges Lexis to KICK him to a corner! Eddy ELBOWS Lexis, KICKS him, then ELBOWS him again! Eddy KICKS, KICKS and then reels Lexis in. Lexis powers out of the facelock but Eddy blocks a shot to ROCK Lexis! But that’s his bad hand! Lexis ROCKS Eddy, CLUBS him, then POSTS him! Lexis goes to the apron to bring Eddy around, and he BOOTS the bad hand! Eddy falls back, Lexis storms in, and Lexis stands on the bad hand!
The fans boo but Lexis STOMPS the fingers! Lexis then bends the fingers, SLAMS them into the mat, and talks trash. Lexis kicks Eddy around, then drags him up. Lexis hammerlocks the arm then HOTSHOTS it on ropes! Lexis then wraps the arm around ropes, pulls, but lets off as the ref counts. The fans boo but Lexis talks more trash. Eddy ELBOWS Lexis, but Lexis CLUBS Eddy. Lexis whips, Eddy reverses and BACK DROPS! Lexis flounders, the fans rally for “EDDY! EDDY!” Eddy CHOPS with his left hand! And CHOPS, and CHOPS! Lexis drop toeholds Eddy into ropes! Eddy sputters as he falls back, and Lexis rains down fists!
Lexis talks more trash, then drags Eddy up. Lexis wrenches, but Eddy HEADBUTTS Lexis down! Lexis storms up again but Eddy CHOPS, CHOPS and then BOOTS Lexis to KICK and GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up while Lexis flounders around! Eddy runs, and hits the TOMAHAWK ELBOW! The fans fire up because Eddy isn’t done yet! IMPAL- NO, Lexis wrenches out to CODE BREAKER the arm! Eddy writhes, Lexis hauls him up and wrenches again, for the CORONATION! Cover, Lexis wins!
Winner: Lexis King, by pinfall
Lexis may think he’s the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, but he did rock Eddy’s world tonight. Granted, Eddy wasn’t 100%, but Lexis won’t care about that. Will Lexis move on towards what he does care about, aka success and championships?
Trick Williams speaks.
“Okay, Petey, let’s talk about it. You say I haven’t figured you out yet? But I will. Because Trick Williams solves problems, I fix issues. Problem: Best friend stabs me in the back. Solution: I walk out of the biggest show in NXT history with my hand raised high. Issue: I can’t defeat the Mad Dragon. Solution: I become the NEW NXT Champion. And the truth is, Pete, we may be even more similar than you realize. Yeah, I heard your story. How you got jumped at 18 years old on the bus. Well, I got jumped at 18, too. Except I was making plays.
“Turns out, the upperclassmen don’t like it when the freshman comes in and he balls early. So some teammates decided to throw rocks at my car. But they didn’t know I was on the inside. They took off to the dorm room, and I followed them up there. Then I popped off like Trick Williams always does. Running up on three dudes in a small room? It didn’t make no sense. Yeah, it didn’t go well for me. But let’s just say, I figured it out. By the end of the day, each one of those dudes took an L, believe that.
“And I may not have the title, but I’m still looking to be the man here in NXT. So Petey, I ain’t coming to you for advice. I’m coming to you for a rematch. One loss isn’t gonna scare me away. One way or another, I’m gonna figure your ass out.”
Backstage interview with Pete Dunne.
Kelly Kincaid is with The Bruiserweight and asks, after what we just heard from Trick, are we getting round two? Dunne asks if she thinks Trick deserves a round two. Yeah, didn’t think so. Because Dunne proved Trick still has a lot of figuring out to still do. Men like Trick like to bitch and moan while men like Dunne shrug it off and move forward. Dunne is moving forward to THE NXT Championship. Dunne leaves, Kelly thanks him for his time, and we see Lash Legend, Jakara Jackson, and the toxic trio of Fallon Henley, Jacy Jayne & Jazmyn Nyx getting their hair done in the background.
Fallon is complaining about sharing the space but Jakara says no one gets special treatment. Oh, right, just because Fallon wasn’t some Division I baseball player? Lash says SKRRRT! She was a basketball player. And how is Fallon so bitter against all the NIL athletes when Jazmyn Nyx was a D1 soccer star? Hello. Jacy asks what Lash’s point is. Because honestly, everyone should be following in Jazmyn’s footsteps: seeing Jacy & Fallon as their influence. Jakara doesn’t see them as anything more than opponents, especially if they’re all in the gauntlet match. Meta Four heads out, who will the lottery choose as worthy?
Lola Vice VS Tatum Paxley!
The Miami Vice just tried to reach out, and Tatum threw a tantrum. Now Lola’s gonna have to teach Tatum a lesson in manners. Will Tatum learn that Lola’s hands don’t lie, and that they don’t hold back?
NXT returns as Tatum makes her entrance, and Kelani Jordan joins commentary to watch this one closely. The bell rings and the two in the ring tie up. Tatum headlocks, Lola rolls free, but Tatum comes right back. Lola headlocks for a takeover, and then she shifts to have an arm scissor that she turns into a ghost pin! TWO, Tatum has a cover, TWO! The fans rally and duel, and Tatum avoids a roundhouse! Lola runs in but is sent into buckles! Tatum then runs to CROSSBODY in they corner, and she rolls Lola back to BUZZSAW! Cover, TWO! Tatum facelocks Lola while Kelani admits, Tatum pushed her to her limits.
Tatum CLUBS Lola, whips her, but Lola reverses. Tatum ducks ‘n’ dodges, but runs into a POWERSLAM! The fans fire up while Tatum flounders to a corner. Lola says “I’m a Latina~!” HIP ATTACK! Lola drags Tatum out to then AX KICK her down! Cover, TWO! The fans rally up, Lola reels Tatum in but Tatum sunset flips! TWO, and Lola stands, into Tatum’s ENZIGIRI! The fans fire up, Tatum rolls Lola into a HALF CRAB! Lola endures but then WENDY CHOO GRABS KELANI!! Wendy drags Kelani out of her chair in the NIGHT NIGHT CLUTCH! Tatum sees that, is upset, but Lola storms up! Tatum ducks the roundhouse to pump handle! TWISTED MIND!
Tatum goes up to the very top, for a DIVING- NO, Lola avoids the stomps! And she URAKENS!! Cover, Lola wins!
Winner: Lola Vice, by pinfall
Buenas noches and sweet dreams, Tatum, but it seems Wendy also tucked Kelani in for the night. Lola still wants to assure Tatum they can be friends, but just what is going on with Wendy? Wendy’s holding up that belt, is this her saying she’s got next?
We return to the NT Women’s Division lottery.
Rizzo thanks Ava for this opportunity. It was a rough night for The Family, so she really needed this. Bring it in! They hug and Rizzo heads back out. And now with all this sorted, let’s spin the wheel! Entry number four for the gauntlet is… Jaida Parker! Miss Parker says thank you. Spot five is… Kendal Grey! A big opportunity for one of the newest additions to the roster. And last but not least, number six is… Karmen Petrovic! Everyone else is disappointed by Karmen says it is time for the “shink shink action.” Ava thanks everyone for participating, and Brinley celebrates with Karmen. It has been almost two YEARS for them and their journey!
Does Karmen remember their tryout in Nashville? Oh, yeah, that was so fun! And if it’s not Brin, then she hopes Karmen gets that win. Karmen thanks Brin for that, and does feel bad Brin wasn’t picked. Brin says it’s okay. But seriously, two YEARS! Izzi Dame storms over and says if anyone deserved to be in the match, it was her. Yeah, well, she wasn’t picked. Neither was Brin, and Brin’s not complaining. Oh, well, Izzi couldn’t stand Brin back at their tryout, and she still can’t stand her now. Izzi storms off, Karmen tells Brin not to worry about it. But then, with the six pack complete, who defies the odds to take on Roxanne Perez?
Wes Lee makes his way to the ring!
The fans boo the Cardiac Kid, and chant “WHY? WHY? WHY?” Wes grabs a mic and steps into the ring. The fans boo more, but Wes says, “Hey, look. I get it. I get it. Last week, I shocked the world. Honestly, I shocked myself, too. See, like, I believed that I was gonna be winning the tag team titles with my best friend. But, Zach let me down, again. Now you see, this goes back to two years ago, when Zach first let me down. One of the greatest tag teams in NXT history, done! MSK was dead! And when all of that happened, everybody was feeling sad for Zach. But they were feeling sorry for me.
“They doubted me. Saying things like, ‘What is Wes going to do now? Is he going to find a new tag team partner?’ And everyone only had me slotted as a tag team guy, so it only made sense. But I dried my tears, I picked myself back up, and I busted my ass to become the greatest North American Champion of all time!” The fans do cheer that because it is true. Wes hears that, and he also hears the boos. But we all witnessed it first hand. But Zach & Trey were NOT here. They abandoned him! They reunited in TNA, and they absolutely killed it… while I broke my back to become a top star here in NXT.”
The fans cheer again because that’s the truth. But Wes says all three of them, they all aspired to reach greatness together. They all wanted to have a legacy that lived beyond all of their years. But it was Wes and Wes alone that achieved that greatness! Wes knows the fans didn’t know this, but Zach does. And Wes is done being Zach’s caretaker. Wes is done worrying about what Zach is going to say or do. Wes was the one that kept EVERYTHING together when they were The Rascalz! Wes was the one driving them city to city for the shows, squashing the beef when Zach was being childish! Wes was the one waking Zach up for their flights so he did not miss them!
Wes is TIRED of taking care of Zach. The fans are torn, as many can relate. But Wes says that where he wants to go, he knows he cannot have his best friends riding his coattails. He knows that the only reason the others came back was for that WWE rub. And more importantly, Wes knows how this is about to go. “Zach, I know that you and I are gonna end up having a match. I know you desperately want to get your hands on me, and No Mercy is coming up, and I feel like that title is fitting, right?” But when they have their match, Zach is going to learn firsthand that everything Wes said here tonight rings true.
Wes will show Zach NO MERCY when he beats the hell out of him. Once all that is done, Zach & Trey can go back to TNA and have a “wonderful” career as TNA wrestlers, while Wes focuses on bigger and better things, like THE NXT Championship. So on behalf of the WWE superstar, Wes Lee, he wishes Zach the best on all his future endeavors. But wait, here comes the Bruiserweight! Wes is unsure why, but Dunne says, “Look at this! I’m impressed! Cuz finally, finally! Someone around here has started to figure it out! But don’t get too carried away, mate. Cuz last week, I beat trick, and my eyes are firmly on that NXT Championship.”
But wait! Joe Hendry makes his way back out here! Only to come in from the crowd to CLOBBER Wes into Dunne! Then he fires off hands! Dunne gets in to hit BOTH of them! Security rushes in to stop all this, but the fans fire up as Dunne LEAPS back in! The fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!” but will Ava have to lay down the law when it comes to the title picture?
Backstage interview with Nathan Frazer & Axiom.
Kelly Kincaid is with the NXT Tag Team Champions and says that they successfully defended their titles only just last week. Will we see another successful defense tonight? Frazer says it is no secret that recently, the amigos have not been on the same page. Axiom says he did kick Frazer, and Frazer did kick Axiom, but that’s because they’ve both been preoccupied. But that is a thing of the past. No chasing after the Speed Championship or Heritage Cup, they arrived on time, changed in the same locker room, they are locked in! Tonight, they fully focus on defending these tag titles. Chase U put up a hell of a fight at Heatwave, but Ridge is a new element they have to watch.
But again, they’re locked in, on the same page, and they guarantee that as good as Chase U is, this ends the same way! L F G~! #Fraxiom heads out, but will they have a solution for the new formation that is Yorkshire Grit & Professor Chase?
NXT Media catches up with The D’Angelo Family.
The reporter asks what is running through Tony’s mind after losing the Cup. Tony says “Mini-Don” Dempsey and his girl, Wren, they got one on Tony. And then Oba Femi interrupts Tony this time to say The Ruler of NXT is here to defend his title. Otis, you and Oba were face to face for just a moment on Raw last night, but here on NXT, Oba is ready for war. Will Oba manage to shotput a wrecking ball like Otis? Or will The Dozer finally have himself some singles gold?
Chase U talks backstage.
Ridge, Riley, Thea & Duke all sport the new Chase U basketball jersey, and Andre Chase says tonight is the night! You can feel it! Chase is pumped! Ridge says good! Duke wants to do something he doesn’t normally do, and that’s apologize. He feels he and Riley were just taken off guard by this formation, but hey, it doesn’t matter who brings home the gold, so long as it all comes home to Chase U. Riley says that’s right! Ridge has done the impossible for Chase U, and like they’ve been saying, when one of them wins, they all win! So boys, bring those titles home! Ridge says honestly, he is so excited! But most of all, he is grateful.
Ridge asks Thea to step forward. She came out of a situation where she was betrayed, and yet she believed in him. He can’t tell her how much that means to him. And he knows it took the guys a little longer to come around, but he feels they’re with him now, and he can’t thank them enough for giving him a fair chance. That is why Ridge vows to do everything in his power to make sure they win those NXT Tag Team Championships! He promises this won’t just be another championship win, this will be the reign to end all reigns! The team fires up, is Chase U finally going to be top of the class?
NXT North American Championship: Oba Femi VS Otis w/ Maxxine Dupri & Akira Tozawa!
As The Ruler said, he visited Raw in hopes of finding competition, and he sure did find it! While Alpha Academy lost the Texas Tornado Tag Match, the tree trunk is still standing and he wants to finally show what he can do when he does things his way! Will The Dozer demolish the dominant reign of Oba Femi? Or will Oba find a way to throw Otis right back to Raw?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we’re about to see the modern day Irresistible Force VS Immovable Object play out!
The bell rings, the fans rally, and Otis is gyrating already. The two tie up, they’re in a deadlock, but Otis digs in to push Oba back! But Oba turns that around to put Otis in a corner. The fans rally and duel, Oba lets off slowly, and he eggs Otis in. They tie up again, and now Oba pushes Otis. Otis comes back but Oba pushes him again. The fans rally and Otis pushes Oba! Oba kicks low, headlocks, but Otis powers up and goes for ropes. Oba grinds the hold, fans sing, “You Can’t Handle the Meat!” Oba goes for the headlock takeover but Otis blocks! Otis brings Oba up to power up and out. They RAM shoulders, Otis rebounds and he RAMS Oba!
Oba rebounds to RAM Otis! Otis ducks ‘n’ dodges, and then he CLOBBERS Oba! The fans fire up as Oba tumbles out of the ring! Otis is all fired up, and even Oba’s surprised, while NXT goes to break.
NXT returns and Oba has Otis down with a chinlock. The fans rally as Otis endures, and he reaches out. Maxxine & Tozawa coach Otis while the fans rally again. Otis fights up, and he RAMS Oba into a corner! Oba lets go, and Otis scoops to SIDEWALK SLAM! Cover, TWO! Oba survives but Otis stays cool. Oba bails out, Otis goes to the apron. But Oba CHOPS Otis down! Otis sputters and then Oba runs up, to UPPERCUT Otis into steel steps! Maxxine & Tozawa are worried, and Oba rolls into the ring. Winner: Oba Femi, by pinfall (still NXT North American Champion)
Otis pushed Oba to a limit that maybe even Oba didn’t know he had! But in the end, there is still only one Ruler in NXT, and that IS Oba Femi! Will no one ever take Oba down when he can throw down someone like Otis?
Brooks Jensen speaks.
“It’s been documented I was in a dark place. Spiraling out of control. I hit rock bottom. Some people say they were looking out for me, but those were empty words. But there was one man who vouched for me in every sense. He stuck his neck out for me so I could get rehired. He told me not what I wanted to hear, but what I needed to hear. I was doing dumb and immature things, and I was better than that. He made sure I got home safe, no matter what I was doing. This place is cutthroat. Friends are turning on each other, people are out for themselves. Well, I finally got someone looking out for me besides Brooks Jensen.
“He was a leader, a mentor to me. Does that work?” Cut over to Shawn Spears, and he says, “Yeah. Brooks, that was perfect.” Jensen nods, is this more of The Chair Man’s sinister influence on the “lost soul” he found?
Malik Blade & Edris Enofe are watching this, too.
They both agree, that is wild. They need to do something about that. They’ve known Jensen for a long time, and with Josh Briggs in Japan, Jensen might be a lost cause. Malik says he and Jensen came into NXT around the same time, and while they ended up in different tag teams, Malik doesn’t feel right about this. This is manipulation by Spears. Edris agrees with that. Hank Walker walks over to say he is also worried for Jensen, but he’s glad Malik & Edris will handle it. They shake hands, and Tank Ledger walks in. Tank heard Hank had a little chitchat with Ava, and Hank says yeah, Ava loves herself some Hank ‘n’ Tank. They’ve got a match next week.
Sweet! The Good Brothers wanna crash their BBQ and trash their food? Well, then next week is defeat with a side of HONK HONK! The blue collar brawlers are ready to brawl with Gallows & Anderson, but will they be the ones eating defeat? Will it be Just Too Sweet?
Izzi Dame VS Brinley Reece!
That problem these two have with each other is about to get solved! Will Izzi spike #BrinEnergy like a volleyball? Or will the ultimate optimist find a way to block that shot?
NXT returns and Brin makes her entrance. The bell rings and the two tie right up. Izzi powers Brin back, but then Brin digs in her heels! Brin pushes Izzi back but Izzi waistlocks to SLAM her! But Brin avoids the elbow drop! Brin wrenches, YANKS and YANKS again. Izzi pulls hair to put Brin on ropes! The ref reprimands, Izzi whips Brin away, but Brin tilt-o-whirls and sunset flips! Izzi stays up to drag Brin to her feet. Izzi puts Brin in a corner, but then Brin dodges Izzi! Brin runs to handspring LARIAT! Cover, ONE!! Brin stays on Izzi to wrench and wristlock. Brin YANKS the arm, clamps on, but Izzi scoops! Brin slips free to waistlock!
Izzi bucks the O’Conner to CLOBBER Brin! Izzi keeps moving but Brin drops, then runs, only for Izzi to scoop and BACKBREAKER! Brin flounders away, the fans boo Izzi, but Izzi RAMS Brin in the corner! Izzi digs her shoulder in but lets off as the ref counts. Izzi drags Brin up, scoops her again, and hits another BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Brin shows that toughness but Izzi drags her back up. Izzi whips Brin to a corner, LARIATS, then whips her again. Brin BOOTS Izzi, ELBOWS her away, then runs, only for Izzi to SKY HIGH! Cover, TWO!! Brin survives and Izzi grows frustrated. Izzi drags Brin up to a Canadian Rack, and thrashes Brin around!
Brin endures, flips free, and she powers up to Alabama Lift! But Izzi fights that, lifts again, only fior Brin to slip free! Brin KNEES Izzi, then goes up the corner to FLYING SHOULDER TACKLE! The fans rally as Brin rallies on Izzi, and hits a THESZ PRESS! Brin rains down fists while shouting, “Don’t be a bully!” Izzi staggers up, but she KNEES Brin low! Izzi whips but Brin reverses, reels Izzi in, and lifts to then stalling NORTHERN LIGHTS! Cover, TWO! Izzi survives but Brin hurries to get Izzi up. Fireman’s carry, but Izzi slips free to CLUB Brin down! Izzi whips again, but Brin goes up and catches Izzi for NIGHTSHADE!
Brin runs and handsprings, but into a BOOT! Izzi scoops, swings and SLAMS Brin down! Cover, Izzi wins!
Winner: Izzi Dame, by pinfall
It iz what it iz as Izzi hits that inside the lines. Even without being in the gauntlet, will Izzi prove she’s still worthy of gold?
Backstage interview with Ava Raine.
Kelly Kincaid is now with the NXT GM and says next week is shaping up to be a huge show leading up to No Mercy. Ava says absolutely. It is a super exciting time right now in NXT. Next week, six women compete in the Gauntlet Eliminator, and that winner faces Roxie for the title. And just before this interview, Ava finalized a huge Triple Threat! Wes Lee VS Joe Hendry VS Pete Dunne, and the winner of that will face Ethan Page for his NXT Championship at No Mercy! In steps Roxie and asks about that gauntlet eliminator. How cute. Roxie got her breakthrough in a similar style when she dominated the division. And look where she is now!
No one is on Roxie’s level! But this is an opportunity for someone to get on her level, become a big star, launch her career, and maybe, just maybe, become “the next Roxanne Perez.” The only problem with that is… they’ll be waiting a long, long, long time before they even come close. But she’s excited to watch. Roxie heads out, Ava thanks Kelly for the interview, and we’ll all just have to wait and see if the next #1 contender can finally humble The Prodigy.
Ashante THEE Adonis spends some time with the ladies.
The ladies are so happy for the six women that were chosen for the gauntlet eliminator, but Ashante speaks up. He understands everyone wants a shot at the titles, but Adonisly, they should be shooting their shot with him. Yeah… Anyway, a shame that only six got to be in the match, but the rest of the ladies will just have to train extra hard and be ready when the time comes. Meanwhile, Ashante notices Dion Lennox getting attention just by sitting there reading a book. Ashante says sorry, it’s not them, it’s him. He walks over and hears the ladies talking with Dion about the book, and Ashante says he loves to read, too.
The ladies move, and Ashante says, “I see you, big pimpin’. Game recognizes game. Although, the bookworm thing ain’t my style. My approach is a little bit more, uh… ballsy.” Ashante laughs at his own joke and Dion says he’s just being himself. Oh, right, sure. What is he reading anyway? It Ends With Us. Oh, really? Well, it’ll end with them next week in the ring. Ashante heads out, and Dion says he was just saying the name of the book. Well, will all things be made clear to Ashante after he and Dion have it out 1v1?
NXT Tag Team Championships: Nathan Frazer & Axiom VS Andre Chase & Ridge Holland w/ Chase U!
#Fraxiom found a way to win even when out of sync, and now that they’re back in sync, surely they’ll be on a different level. However, Mr. Chase & The Yorkshire Grit are the most determined they’ve ever been! Will Chase U make this a #TeachableMoment about persevering through adversity? Or will the Undeniable Truths be unstoppable now that they’re truly united?
The introductions are made, the belts are raised, and we see who has the winning formula!
The teams sort out and Chase starts against Axiom. The fans rally as the two tie up, knuckle lock, and Chase rolls to wrangle Axiom into a headlock. Axiom wrenches free to headlock in return. Chase powers up, only for Axiom to snapmare Chase down. Axiom then blows past Chase, only for Chase to kitchen sink knee! Cover, ONE, but Chase keeps on Axiom with a wrench. Axiom rolls, DROPKICKS, and tags Frazer. Frazer headlocks, Chase powers up and out, but Frazer rolls over the dropdown. Frazer redirects, redirects again, then rolls Chase up! TWO, and Chase blocks a superkick! Chase spins Frazer but the DRAGON WHIP hits!
Chase stumbles, tags to Ridge, and Ridge CLOBBERS Frazer! Ridge drags Frazer up, suplexes, but Frazer fires knees! Frazer is free, Axiom tags in! Fraxiom DUMP Ridge out, then Axiom SUPERKICKS! Ridge staggers, Chase runs up, but into a HALF ‘N’ HALF! Chase bails out, Frazer DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp! Axiom DIVES onto Ridge, direct hit by the desk! And then Repeat, DIVE on Chase and DIVE on Ridge! Axiom clips desk but he shakes it off to fire up with Frazer! The fans also fire up while NXT goes picture in picture.
Axiom goes out to fetch Ridge into the ring, then hurries in to facelock. Ridge fights up in the grind, and then he suplexes Axiom! Ridge holds Axiom for TEN before the SLAM! Tag to Chase and he reels Axiom in. Axiom switches to shove and LARIAT at the ropes! Tag to Frazer for a GAMANGIRI! Axiom HALF ‘N’ HALF suplexes again, then Fraxiom DOUBLE SUPERKICKS! Cover, TWO! Chase stays in this but Frazer stays on him with a snap suplex! Cover, TWO! Chase still stays in this, but Frazer drags him up. Chase cradle counters! TWO!! Frazer escapes, then CLOBBERS Chase! Cover, TWO!
Frazer drags Chase into a chinlock and grinds him down. Chase fights around, fights up, but Frazer wrangles him right back down! Chase fights up again, fires elbows, and is free! Chase runs, but Frazer follows to trip Chase up! Frazer aims, NXT returns to single picture, and Frazer springboards, into a clinch! SIDE EF- ARM-DRAG! Frazer then gets up, DOUBLE LARIATS take both men down! The fans are thunderous as Frazer and Chase crawl, hot tags to Ridge and Axiom! Ridge CLOBBERS Axiom! And CLOBBERS him again! Axiom dodges one lariat but not the SOUTHPAW! Frazer runs up, but Ridge catches him first! DEADBOLT PLEX!
Ridge SPLASHES Axiom in one corner, SPLASHES Frazer in another! Ridge deadlift gut wrenches Axiom, flips him around to a Canadian Rack, and then hits the AK47!! Cover, TWO!! Axiom comes back to tilt-o-whirl, but Ridge blocks the DDT!
Ridge RAMS Axiom into the buckles, then Chase tags in! Chase climbs up, DOUBLE STOMP POWERSLAM COMBO!! Cover, Frazer breaks it!! The fans are thunderous again as Ridge aims at Frazer! Ridge runs up but Frazer dumps him out! Then PLANCHAS down on top of him! Chase hauls Axiom up, underhooks, but Axiom slips up and out! Axiom then goes up and over in the corner, but Chase BOOTS him! Chase goes up, but Axiom GAMANGIRIS! Frazer hurries to tag back in! Axiom goes up, Frazer is on the other corner. But Ridge rises, so Frazer jumps on Ridge! SLEEPER! Ridge stays up, Axiom takes aim.
Axiom runs up, but Ridge slips free, and Frazer blocks the kick! They almost had another mishap! But then Frazer SWINGS Axiom’s leg into Ridge! Ridge falls out, Chase is still up top! Axiom DIVES to take Ridge out, Frazer goes up and up! Axiom tags in before the SUPERPLEX! Frazer rolls through, CHASING THE DRAGON!! Cover, TWO?!?! Chase survives what did MSK in, and the fans are going nuts! Even Fraxiom is at a loss for words! Axiom sits Chase up to KICK! And KICK! And KICK! The fans duel, Chase blocks a kick! Chase CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS, but Axiom blocks to SLEEPER!
Chase grabs an arm for an ELBOW BREAKER! Chase runs, Axiom LARIATS at ropes! Axiom runs, but Chase BOOTS at ropes! Frazer sneaks a tag, then springboards, but Ridge tags in. Chase dodges to DROPKICK Axiom! Ridge is in to KICK Frazer, haul him up, and they BACKSTABBER BOMB COMBO!! Cover, TWO?!?! Frazer survives and now Chase U is at a loss for words! Ridge and Frazer rise and “This is Awesome!” Ridge YANKS Frazer up but Frazer lands on his feet, to PELE! Axiom tags in, and he helps Frazer haul Ridge up top. GAMANGIRI, and Ridge wobbles! Axiom climbs, Frazer goes to the other corner!
Axiom has Ridge up top for a SUPER SPANISH FLY! That’s the Power! So here’s Frazer with the PHOENIX- NO, Chase shoves Frazer down!! Frazer hits the desk and Axiom is shocked! Axiom runs up to GOLDEN RATIO Chase off the apron! Axiom reloads, GOLDEN- LARIAT from Ridge!! Ridge roars, he hauls Axiom up, PACKAGE DDT!! Cover, CHASE U WINS!!!
Winner: Andre Chase & Ridge Holland, by pinfall (NEW NXT Tag Team Champions)
HOLY, uh, well, stuff that usually gets Mr. Chase censored! But Ridge kept his promise to his friends, and now he and Chase are champions together! The student section rush the ring to celebrate with THEIR champions, and the confetti flies! The red ‘n’ black holds the gold once again, is this just the start of a Chase U dynasty?
My Thoughts:
An AMAZING NXT here, which is wild since this wasn’t Great American Bash but just the return to USA Network. Great segue from Wes entering to Ethan getting himself a moment to talk. And with that, we also got a great bit from Hendry staking his claim to the title shot. And after great promos from Trick, Dunne and Wes, we got a great bit of brawling to set up a Triple Threat #1 contender’s match. Wes’ promo was especially strong for touching on some of the things that legitimately got Zach cut from NXT when he was “Nash Carter.” And so between Wes VS Zach and Trick wanting after Dunne, Hendry is definitely winning the Triple Threat to take on Ethan at No Mercy.
Great stuff in the Heritage Cup match, and I like that Wren’s role in the No Quarter Catch Crew is lighting a fire in the guys. I was pleasantly surprised that Charlie Dempsey won, and as I’ve been saying for weeks, Tony D and the Heritage Cup just felt odd. And it does seem they’ve been planting the seeds for Tony going after the North American Championship, what with Oba and Tony interrupting each other’s promos. Oba VS Otis was awesome stuff, some legit meaty men slapping meat. But as I knew even last night on Raw, Otis wasn’t going to win the title. I would also hope that, as good as Tony is as a character, Oba wins when they face off for the North American title.
Because here’s the thing: If Tony had been winning by knockouts, that’s a legit threat to Oba. If Tony gets a haymaker on Oba, he could hit a “knockout” and win the NA title that way, too. If the point of Tony being Heritage Cup Champion was to say, “Tony can wrestle and he can go the distance,” okay, that’s a nice subtext, and Tony himself can probably say that in a promo. But getting a knockout punch like a boxer just feels more in line with Tony’s entire character of being both trained wrestler and scrappy street fighter.
We’re getting great builds in the Women’s Division between both titles. I appreciate that while Lola and Tatum end up having a match tonight, Lola did it as a form of tough love. Good win for Lola tonight, but Wendy going after Kelani was a pretty bold move. Feels like Lola and Wendy will be fighting it out, winner challenges Kelani next, possibly for No Mercy, unless both grudge matches (Wes VS Zach and Trick VS Dunne) are put there instead. And then, gauntlet eliminator as the #1 contender’s match for THE NXT Women’s Championship is great stuff, also used to feed the Stone VS Stevie side story.
Good field of six, but with Wren and Rizzo attached to the D’Angelo VS NQCC story, they kinda cancel out. Kendal’s still very new, probably won’t be her. It feels like a toss up between Sol and Jaida. Karmen is good but it just doesn’t quite feel like her time. Sol and Jaida have been going strong, fans like them both, and they’re both good foils to Roxanne’s brand of attitude, with Sol being much more chill while Jaida can give as good as she gets. And while I feel Roxie will still find a way to win, No Mercy is the perfect place to send out whoever new is coming to NXT, whether it’s Stephanie Vaquer, Giulia or Delta, and have Roxie suddenly fear for her reign.
Good, though quick match from Izzi and Brin. Not sure why Izzi’s getting to do more here than Kiana James is on Raw. And just as I was wondering where Malik & Edris were, they had a good promo in response to Jensen’s great “I support Shawn Spears” promo. Malik & Edris VS Spears & Jensen would make for a good match, and when Briggs comes back, I could see a Six Man Tag where Spears & Jensen have a surprise third man. Just not sure if they’d pull a Hogan joining Hall & Nash or something similar where a Face turns to follow Spears’ guidance.
Speaking of getting a surprise third, maybe Lash & Jakara get a third woman to take on Fallon, Jacy & Jazmyn. After all, whatever combo it is, the odd one out will help cheat to win. Gigi Dolin would be a great choice given her history with Jacy, but rumor has it a leg injury has been quietly keeping her out of action, which is why the story of her and Arianna Grace just stopped abruptly. Without Gigi, not sure who would fit well enough in story to team with Lash & Jakara.
Good promos from Eddy and Lexis ahead of their match, and while I personally like rock ‘n’ roll over EDM, EDM is still good. But anyway, Lexis of course wins when Eddy’s got that bad hand. I feel like we’re do for another big stipulation match for their blowoff. And Ashante starting beef with Dion over who’s getting ladies, feels like NXThirsty is back. But hey, good enough for Dion to get TV time, and he’ll have a really good match with Ashante. Feels like it could go either way, but this might be Ashante getting a win back after losing to Trick weeks ago.
And then, after really good promos to hype it all up, we got an amazing tag team title main event. There was something to how Ridge’s promo was going that felt like Wes’s promo just last week. I thought Ridge was going to betray Chase U because that’s what this story has been teasing. Ridge was even wearing the number 13, aka the bad luck number, on his jersey. And then him talking about doing anything to win, I thought there was going to be dysfunction over Ridge bending rules or outright cheating. But we got none of that, we just got an awesome match that then gave Chase U an awesome win, and I actually really like that. I can’t wait to see where Chase U goes from here, and same for Axiom and Frazer.
My Score: 9/10

Andrew’s TNA Genesis Results & Match Ratings: 1.19.25
Does TNA Believe in Joe Hendry more than Mokuba Nemeth believes in his big brother?
Hot off the heels of the TNA and WWE working relationship announcement, the Kickoff show already has the first sprinkle of NXT talent with Ashante “Thee” Adonis coming out after Ariana Grace tries to take all of the credit for the partnership. Jake something runs over Ashante, but it’s a good quick nod on free YouTube. Oh it also looks like the ring announcer is McKenzie Mitchel again. I did like her first run in TNA in what was that… like 2016-2018 or 19? She’s got personality, she’s cute and a solid announcer, so nice to see her back.
I’m not gonna run down any predictions on who I think will win, because honestly, I just feel like Hendry needs to win today or it’s been an entire waste of momentum. So lets get to the main show!

X Division Championship: Moose (c) vs Ace Austin
As soon as the bell rings, Ace jumps on him, forces him into the corner and stomps on him. Moose tries to fight out but Ace stays relentless. Ace has a counter for everything Moose is trying to counter in the early goings. Even when Moose catches him during the apron Handstand Dodge, Ace still has a counter for his counter. It’s not until a rake to the eyes from Moose that finally gives him a moment to start dictating the pace. A huge Irish Whip on the outside through the barricade is what Ace feels…twice. Ace tries to fight back from Moose continuing the momentum, Ace eats a Pump Kick, but blocks Moose’s attempt at a Suplex and counters with his own Vertical Suplex on Moose! JDC gets in the proximity of Ace so Ace kicks him, which delays his springboard, so Moose catches him and bounces him off the apron like a super ball.
Moose lets the count go, Ace barely gets in at 9, Moose throws him corner to corner, is slowing things down and being very deliberate. Ace starts powering through the pain, catches a Pump Kick, dodges a Spear into the corner and puts together a few strikes, Double Stomp, Triangle Kick, wants The Fold but Moose puts the brakes on there. Ace tries to spring off the ropes but Moose grabs him and hits Go To Hell for two! Fighting Spirit spot, Ace starts winning the trade, a Headbutt from Moose stops Ace, Moose flips him over the ropes to the apron, tries a few more things, Ace looks for a Springboard, Moose catches him but Ace slips it for a Frankensteiner. Moose powders to the opposite apron and Ace hits his Inside Out Headscissors sending Moose crashing to the floor. Alisha and JDC try to help up Moose, and while the referee is distracted JDC posts Ace. Moose goes for the Around the World Lights Out, but Ace moves and Moose kills JDC! Ace hits The Fold on the floor!
Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers run down the ramp, Ace sees them so he hits the Fosbury Flop to take them out. Ace is rolling, he goes for the Triangle Kick but Moose counters with Lights Out! 1-2- KICK OUT? Moose sets up for another Lights Out, Ace sidesteps it for the Cradle, kickout, Uranage, Cradle counter, Art of Finesse from Ace but Lights Out to the Spine from Moose! Moose sets up another and lands the Lights Out to retain!
Post Match the System looks to beat down on Ace, but Maniac Marines music hits and they go after Myers and Edwards. Guess the match is now!Â
The System vs Maniac Marines
Steve and Eric beat the hell out of the System members while the referee tries to set the match, it still hasn’t started but we get stereo 10 count punches in the corner, big fists causing Myers and Edwards to powder. This is essentially a Tornado Tag right now because the match hasn’t even started. Okay it eventually starts and Maclin hits the Backbreaker on Edwards and Busaiku Knee on Myers. He looks for a SCUD but Lish grabs the foot which is just enough! Maclin tries to charge anyway but gets caught in the Blue Thunder Bomb and now the match slows down and Eddie is in control.
Maclin absorbs some Chops from Eddie in the corner, no sells a little and fires, Eddie tags out Myers tries to slow things down with a Russian Leg Sweep but Maclin continues to try and rally. Eddie’s back in, shortarm Gowan Lariat into a cocky cover for two. Eddie tries to keep moving but Maclin hits the Vertical Suplex. Maclin is too slow to tag out so Eddie tags out and Myers cuts off Maclin. After a few more quick tags from System members, Maclin finally lands a Lariat to get the simultaneous tag and EY comes in hot. EY does the Flair corner flip, knocks Eddie off the apron, Myers eats a Macho Elbow but only two. Eddie knocks Maclin off the apron, Tandem Tiger Driver for two, EY fights back to level Eddie, Tree of Woe Myers Caught in Crosshairs but Lish gets in the ring! Eddie grabs Eric and distracts the ref, Lish clocks Maclin with either knuckles or a full hand of rings, Spear from Myers is only a two!
System Overload attempt, it’s thwarted by EY, Myers gets crotched in like a Reverse Tree of Woe, so Maclin hits the Caught in the Crosshairs on the back, EY with a Plancha to the outside to take Edwards out and K.I.A. from Maclin means Maniac Marines win!
Knockouts Tag Titles: Elegance Clique (Heather & Ash) w/Personal Concierge vs Spitfire (Dani Luna & Jody Threat) (c)
Elegance duo comes out dressed like Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. They do a Go Eagles chant right before the bell rings to a chorus of Boos.
Even though Elegance Clique throws their pompoms and try a cheap shot, Spitfire just plow through them, literally. Quick tags, some assisted moves, Ash gets away from Spitfire, tags in Heather and shoves her forward trying to take them off guard, but they turn around…grab Heather and a long Tandem Stalling Suplex with a Deep Squat for two. Concierge distracts the referee, looks for a low Dive onto Heather but Ash just kicks Dani in the face, and the referee sees nothing. Heather rolls her back in, Kawada Kicks, Forearm Shiver, trip into a Dropkick to the face! Ash hangs Dani off the apron and Heather hits the Double Stomp from the apron to the floor.
Ash starts choking Dani on the ropes, distracts the referee and Heather paintbrushes Dani with pompoms as Ash goes for a series of pinfall attempts. Quick tags, Dani is in their corner, Cartwheel Back Handspring Elbow from Ash into a Seated Dropkick from Heather. Dani has been getting smacked around for the last 4 or 5 minutes. Ash leans on Dani for a while, but Dani gets a head of steam, comes off the ropes and Shotgun Dropkick gives her space. Jody gets a hot tag, she Sack of Shits them both, Vader Hammers in the corner into a Michinoku Driver, which Ash breaks up with a Meteora. Heather and Ash have a nice tandem move for a two count. Jody tries to fight back, but Elegance stops it, blind tag from Dani, Senton takes out both Elegance Clique members and Dani stalks her prey. Snap Suplex two times on Ash, but Heather stops the third and Jody just tosses Heather out of the ring in a rough way. Jody tries her Double Knees German Suplex spot but Ash moves. Dani with the Shinsuke Nakamura Inside Out German, Pressure Drop and Spitfire retains.
Boo…
Jordynne Grace vs Tessa Blanchard
Grace charges Tessa immediately, and the ref needs to pull her off, but Tessa gets thrown around the ring literally, the crowd is chanting “Fuck You Tessa”, Tessa powders, eats a Dive and then a Jackhammer on the outside! Grace puts Tessa on her shoulders up to the ring, but Tessa finally fights off and flips off the crowd, revels in it for a second, tries the Frankensteiner, but Grace holds on, smashes Tessa into the guardrail twice, looks for the Reverse Bomb on the apron, but Tessa gets out, stomps on Jordynne a few times, hooks Jordynne’s face with the crook of her leg and drives Jordynne’s face into the apron. Unique looking and decent.
Tessa has the correct intensity, pushes into two quick pinfall attempts and starts getting deliberate. Drags Jordynne’s face across the rope, throats Grace, kicks her in the face and Slingshot Elbow is another near fall. Tessa with the Front Facelock, Grace tries to fight out but Tessa holds on and drops her with a Scorpion Death Drop for another near fall. Jordynne fights Tessa off with a few elbows, looks for a Superplex, but Tessa fights off, wants the Avalanche Sunset Bomb, but Jordynne stops it, Tessa kicks Grace’s feet, looks for a Rope Hung Death Drop but Jordynne fights it off and smashes Tessa’s face into the turnbuckles but Tessa hits the Rope Hung Backstabber for two. Tessa looks for Magnum, but Jordynne cuts her off, they fight at the top, Avalanche Sack of Shit! They both sell the exhaustion of the match so far.
They trade blows, two Scoop Slams from Jordynne, Lawn Dart into the Top Turnbuckle! Package Powerbomb for two! Dragon Suplex attempt from Grace, Tessa breaks it, Headlock Takeover, quick counter wrestling, Tiger Destroyer from Tessa! Only for a two count, but still nice. Buzzsaw attempt is shrugged off, Tessa comes off the ropes and eats the Spinebuster from Jordynne for two quick pinfall attempts. Tessa with the Body Scissors and pulls herself up and fights back, Jordynne slaps her around, looks for the Suplex but Tessa slips it and Neckbreaker Counter for a two count! The brawl to the apron, Grace eats a forearm and Tessa hits the Tornillo on Jordynne! They posture on the steps, Tessa wants a move but Jordynne counters her and Spicolli Driver from the stairs to the floor from Jordynne!
More back and forth in the corner, just positioning and counters, it’s like watching chess. Jordynne grabs Tessa for an Avalanche Air Raid Crash, but Tessa fights it and turns it into an Avalanche Crucifix Bomb! After trying a grounded submission Tessa locks in the Octopus, tries to wrench the fingers but Jordynne counters, Rope Assisted German Suplex into a Capture Suplex for 2! Kudome Valentine attempt from Grace but Tessa gets out, Backfist from Jordynne, Tessa bounces off and Cutter gives her a two count! Tessa calls for Magnum, Jordynne dodges it, Tessa rolls through, tries boots but Grace grabs Tessa and hits the around the world Reverse Alabama Slam! Tessa keeps trying to remove Buckle Pads but they’re on good, Tessa reverses out of the Kinikku Buster, hits the Buzzsaw into the partially exposed buckle but Grace grabs the rope. Tessa removes another pad, Bulldog into exposed buckle, Magnum, and Tessa is still sexy.
The turnbuckle pads being on too well made the finish a little flat, but it was a damn good match. There’s also a joke in the match with Tessa coming out wearing Red and Gold (Yellow), so the racism allegations are never going away if she keeps making it easy.
I Quit Match: Josh Alexander vs Mike Santana
There’s intensity but its all just technical tactics to take each other to the ground and grab a limb. But since we just came off of a pretty good match, things can’t start too hot. Every time Santana throws Josh to the outside, Josh scurries back to the ring, he’s playing scared. There’s a “He’s a bitch” chant that pops up. Santana cuts off Josh’s charge with a few well placed boots which sends Josh outside, Tope con Hilo levels the bald man. Santana throws Josh into a guardrail, Yakuza Kicks back to back rock Josh a bit. Fans call for tables and Santana slides one out to a huge pop. Santana sets it up, plays to the crowd, tries a Powerbomb onto the table but Josh slips it and Overhead Belly to Belly sends Santana crashing. A fan can be heard saying “That look like it hurt” to which Santana replies ” It did asshole”. Now Josh is dissecting Santana’s legs to soften him up for the Ankle Lock. Josh goes for the corner spot with the Figure Four around the post after bouncing the knee off the post a few times.
Josh tries to continue but Santana slides out and counters Josh and bounces his face off the post. Josh walks it off a bit as Santana stalks him and then a quick Chop Block has Santana writhing in pain. Josh decides to be a heel and do the Three Amigos instead of the Kurt Angle Germans. Disrespectful bald jerk. Santana gets throated, dropped to the apron on his ass, Low Crossbody but Santana flattens out and Josh goes flying! Santana tries a Dive, but Josh catches him and just drops him spine first on the apron. After a small resilient flurry of slaps from Santana Josh goes for the Germans. Santana brushes off on the third, goes for the Rolling Buck Fifty, gets caught in the Torture Rack, Santana fights off Josh’s shoulders, kicks him into the corner, Senton into the seated Josh. Perches him up top, points at the table, tries something but Josh fights him off, Moonsault from Josh misses and a Death Valley Driver gives both a moment to breathe.
Santana Spin the-BLOCK-ED! Josh sweeps the leg, Ankle Lock and Santana refuses to quit twice but slips the boot ala Eddie Guerrero. Josh pauses a moment, Santana charges and Josh dumps him over the top rope through the table! Santana says he doesn’t quit, Josh looks surprised, so he goes looking for more plywood. He also grabs the bottom set of stairs and throws them into the ring. Scoop Slams Santana into the broken table and continues looking for weapons, like a chair and zip ties. Santana crawls into the ring, Josh steps on the worked on leg and smashes it repeatedly with the chair. Josh goes into Full Mount, rains down strikes, exposes the elbow for Elbow Strikes and tries to soften him up for the zip ties. C4 Spike but Santana raises up like the Undertaker and fires into beating the piss out of Josh. Frankensteiner on Josh into the Frog Splash, Spin the Block! Josh doesn’t quit. Santana grabs the zip ties that Josh introduced, ties the hands behind Josh’s back, Spin the Block 2! Josh doesn’t quit. Santana sets up the steps as a ramp, table in front of Josh in the corner and Cannonballs through the table into Josh! Josh still doesn’t quit off the Jackass stunt. Santana finds a sock filled with quarters and starts beating Josh like it’s a slapjack. Josh still doesn’t quit. Santana tells Josh to bite the curb and is about to Curb Stomp him into the steps and Josh gets scared and quits.
TNA Tag Team Championships: The Hardyz (c) vs The Rascalz
Fraxiom comes out to watch the match, so this nicely sets up a potential early angle between NXT and TNA for the crossover.Â
Trey and Matt start, but it’s a slow Headlock basic counters and feint spots. Jeff and Wentz want to play, so this is very Japanese in giving each member a free chance to interact before any cutoffs or tandems. The crowd likes both men, so this is interesting but more Stalemate spots. Jeff manages a Polish Hammer to tag in Matt and go for a quick tandem move and keep Wentz in the Hardy Corner bouncing his face off buckles in Delete fashion. Tag from Jeff for another tandem Rocket Launcher into the bottom rope and Leg Drop from Jeff. Wentz counters the Twist with a Jumping Knee so he manages a tag to Trey and then a few quick striking double team spots. Quick tag to Wentz, Matt comes in to break it up, drops Matt and Wishbone. Quick Tag, MCMG ACS Rush homage. Wentz Dives onto Matt on the outside, Matt catches him into the Side Effect on the floor! Jeff gets the best of Trey after he’s a little distracted. Manhattan Drop from Jeff, into a tag to Matt and then some double team strikes for a near fall. Delete Head Smashes again on Trey.
Vertical Suplex from Matt for another 2. Matt tags out and Hardys look for more Tandem attacks, Plot Twist but Wentz recovers and makes the break! Trey flips out of Jeff’s arms, tags in Wentz, and Wentz cleans house on both Hardys. Corner to corner, tags back in Trey they hit the Saki Kashima assisted Dropkick on each Hardy and then they dump the Hardys at the feet of Fraxiom. FIVE HOLE DIVE FROM RASCALZ! Misses the Hardys and hits Fraxiom! This builds heat for The Rascalz and Fraxiom as Hardys attack the Rascalz while distracted. Poetry in Motion off the stairs from Jeff!
Facebuster from Jeff for two! Wentz hits a Busaiku Knee on Jeff to stop him from hitting Trey, Side Effect drops Wentz, Enzuigiri from Trey drops Matt and all four are down to catch their breath a bit. Original Poetry in Motion on Trey! Twist of Fate from Matt but countered and Matt is thrown into Jeff who’s selling a knee. Superkick into Feed Em to the Lions! Wentz Dives on Matt but Trey can’t quite make a clean pinfall. Jeff eats a Cheeky Nandos and Top Rope Tiger Feint, Twist of Fates for everyone and Jeff re-NO Trey kicks out! Another Twist but eats a Superkick from Wentz, tries the UFO Cutter on Matt but Matt just throws him to the outside. A Twist of Fate from each Hardy Boy, Swanton Bomb and the Hardyz retain!
Thursday’s Live Show will have Fraxiom vs The Rascalz for the NXT Titles!Â
Raven’s Clockwork Orange House of Fun Match: TNA Knockouts World Championship: Masha Slamovich (c) vs Rosemary
Do Rosemary’s shorts have Pokemon Gym Badges on em? Masha goes for the Staple Gun, it almost gets countered immediately, but she gets the first few clicks of the Staple gun, it actually doesn’t backfire, but she lets Rosemary powder and starts grabbing a few weapons. Masha finally decides to attack Rosemary with a cane, but Rosemary turns things around with the green mist. Slamovich gets some of the mist out of her eyes, chases her into the ring and eats a Drop Toehold into a Chair. Rosemary sets up the table, panders to the crowd and Masha launches herself over the top with a Crossbody, into Rosemary and then through the table! Masha finds her old chain she used to make Killer Kelly submissive and starts choking and dragging Rosemary around the ring and then Sabus the chair at Rosemary for emphasis.
Masha tries to hit the front flip Senton onto a seated Rosemary, but Rosemary moves and Masha hits the chair weird. Rosemary beats her with a chair a few times, looks under the ring, gets giddy and finds Janice! Rosemary swings Janice, breaks it, and then uses the two pieces to block the cane Masha had and then pressed the nail portion into Masha’s back! Rosemary is talking to Janice and goes to the back to find tacks that she spills out on the stage. Rosemary wants a Chokeslam into tacks, Masha counters, misses a Lariat and then eats the Spear into the tacks! Barbed Wire board is set up in the ring, Spicolli…nope! Russian Death Device into the Barbed Wire! Masha goes to the top, Footstomp into the barbed wire but only for 2 again! Masha goes to the outside and grabs a ladder.
A trash can lid gets thrown at Rosemary for good measure, Masha ascends the ladder and then Rosemary pushes the ladder and Masha goes crashing through one of two tables set up on the outside. Rough spot, rough looking, but Masha manages to move enough to break the pinfall since its falls count anywhere. Rosemary now goes full Kevin Steen and makes some chair art for a spot, drags Masha into the ring, sets he on the chairs and goes to the top. Masha sits up as Rosemary climbs, counters the momentum and Avalanche Requiem through the chairs! Masha retains.
Cora Jade’s music hits and sets up nicely after Masha was on NXT.Â
The Countdown Panel starts off with their main event picks they hinted towards and it’s necessary because they have to clean up the ring. Mark Henry picks Joe Hendry, and he better be correct. Ryan Nemeth interrupts with the “my brootthhheerrr” stuff, and Santino calls him “Fuck Face Guy”. It’s all good stuff, and I’m still a big fan of the Mokuba gimmick, but now they ban Ryan Nemeth.Â
TNA World Championship: Nic Nemeth (c) vs Joe Hendry
Simple chain wrestling start until Nic has a few words and then snaps off a Dropkick, does his show off Dolph stuff so Hendry runs him over with a Shoulder Block and then a Knee Lift. Hendry tries his Stalling Suplex but Nic slips it into a Rear Naked Choke! Hendry spins Nic around, walks around with the Stalling Suplex before finally dropping Nic. Ryan Nemeth shows up with a ticket, so he’s sitting in the crowd now. Joe gets distracted just enough for Nic to jump up and hit a delayed DDT. After Nic tries to stretch Joe a little, Hendry goes into locomotion Cradles but Nic drops Joe to take a breather. Nic does his single Shot to the Heart Elbow and he’s really embracing the old Dolph Ziggler show off ego. Ziggler looks for a Rude Awakening after more arrogant moments, but Joe tries to fight it off, so Nic just snaps off a Jumping Neckbreaker.
Joe manages to hit a Cutter off the ropes to try and get some energy from the crowd. Strike exchange happens here, Uppercuts from Joe and Fists from Nic. Joe blocks one fist, throws a few of his own together and a Lariat levels Nic. Sack of Shit into the Kip Up! Counters galore from both men before Nic gets caught in the Pop-Up Powerbomb! Attitude Adjustment for just a near fall. You see moments of Nic trying to cheat or find an angle but he hasn’t done anything overtly heelish yet. Joe is rocking him with chops, perches Nic on the top, looks for the Superplex but Nic fights back, Hendry gets pushed off, Crossbody but Hendry rolls through, holds on and gets his Powerbomb countered into a FAMEasser for two! Nic crawls to a corner, looks to climb for something big, Hendry cuts him off, Avalanche Sack of Shit! Kaz walks out with the trophy as both men sell, but JBL comes out of the crowd and Clothesline from Hell on Kaz. JBL punches Ryan in the face as he comes out to say something. Then Tuxedo JBL leaves after doing his job. Standing Ovation from HENDRY! 1-2-NO! Nic kicks out!
The crowd chants “One More Time” and it fires up Hendry, he does the heel turn and goes full Queen Stomp, tries again, but Nic slips it. Superkick into Danger Zone and it’s….HENDRY KICKS OUT! Nic is tuning up the band, Hendry catches Nic, Sack of Shit, Kip Up, big fire, Standing Ovation! JOE HENDRY WINS!
Overall Score: 7/10
Even if the match quality wasn’t bonkers, mostly all the matches did what they needed to do, were fairly good and a good number of NXT talent showed up to make the Live iMPACT! and TNA really feel like something special right now. I’m an unabashed Tessa fan, so I’m giddy she won and Hendry finally getting the title is the latest they could’ve really dragged this out to, but at least it stops him from becoming Tetsuya Nai-Joe.
I’m not gonna be a hypocrite from previous complaints I made with too many champions being babyfaces, because that’s still bad and proves the next few title defenses could prove volatile. However, I of course just enjoy most of the current champions. So while it doesn’t erase the fact it’s bad, it makes it more palatable for me personally. Now if only PCO destroyed the Knockouts Tags instead of a different irrelevant belt.
Also let’s be very clear, anyone that believes the PCO stunt was a legit shoot doesn’t know wrestling. Everything is a work until it isn’t and then it still could be turned into a work. Don’t be gullible and just anticipate something to be worked out of it one way or the other.
Still though, good show with a lot of hype for the Live iMPACT, so Thursday should be fun! See you there!

Texas Death Match: Hangman Page VS Christopher Daniels!
No sense in waiting to find out, the Cowboy and the Fallen Angel start us off! Will “Maximum Carnage” be an understatement after these two go until one man can’t keep going?
The bell rings and the fans rally up already. Hangman and Daniels stare down, step up, and Daniels says Hangman could’ve just let it all go. It didn’t have to be like this! The fans duel, but Hangman SLAPS Daniels! Hangman throws hands in the corner, but Daniels CHOPS in return! Daniels ROCKS Hangman, RAMS him again and again, but Hangman CLUBS Daniels back. Hangman fires hands, but Daniels kicks low! The shots go back and forth but Hangman ROCKS Daniels! Hangman CLAWS Daniels’ eyes, then fires body shots and haymakers! Hangman CLUBS away on Daniels, the fans fire up, and Hangman whips corner to corner.
Daniels reverses, runs up, but into a BOOT! Hangman rains down fists, then lets off to pace around. Daniels bails out, but Hangman runs to triangle jump LARIAT! Daniels falls to the floor, but he rises up, into a PLANCHA from Hangman! The fans fire up again while the ref checks Daniels. Daniels is in this but Hangman puts him in the ring. Hangman snarls, but Daniels WRECKS him with a dropkick! Daniels then aims, ARABIAN- NO, Hangman YANKS Daniels down, then sends him into railing! The fans are torn as Hangman grabs a chair! Hangman runs up, and he CLOBBERS Daniels with the chair!
Daniels flounders, Hangman fires the fans up, then he puts the chair in the ring. Hangman grabs more chairs, and Daniels rises up. Daniels is busted open, but Hangman shoves Daniels into the ring. Hangman goes looking, and he brings out BARBED WIRE! Hangman is escalating this quickly as he goes for Daniels’ face! Daniels fights back, but Hangman still DIGS the wire into Daniels’ forehead! He was already bloodied but it’s only gonna get worse! The fans tell Hangman he’s sick, but Hangman LASHES Daniels on the back with the wire! And LASHES him again! Hangman then puts the wire in Daniels’ mouth!!
The fans are freaking out as Hangman is practically flossing Daniels’ teeth with the wire! But Daniels throws Hangman away! Daniels blocks a kick, ducks a lariat, but then the BOOT comes back! Daniels is down, Hangman grabs the rest of the wire, and he wraps it around his arm! Hangman aims, Daniels staggers up, BARBED WIRE ROLLING ELBOW! Daniels falls again, Hangman holds up the wire and the fans cheer, but Collision goes picture in picture.
Hangman stalks Daniels to the ropes, then CHOKES him! Hangman only lets off so he can grab a chair. Hangman sits that chair up, and Daniels sputters from behind his crimson mask. Hangman sets another chair up, those sit facing each other. Hangman brings Daniels over, fireman’s carries, but Daniels fights free! Daniels staggers to a corner, Hangman runs up, but into a BOOT! Daniel runs up, but into a POP-UP POWERBOMB onto the chairs! Daniels writhes and Hangman snarls. The standing count starts, but Daniels uses ropes to stand at 5 of 10! Hangman KICKS him in the side!
Hangman grabs a chair, wedges it into a corner, but Daniels flops out of the ring. Daniels is buying himself as much time as he can but Hangman clears everything else out of the ring. Hangman storms after Daniels, scoops him, and FALL AWAY SLAMS him onto the floor! Daniels writhes again but Hangman goes looking under the ring again. Hangman brings out a TABLE! Hangman positions the table to be ringside, but Daniels drags himself to the apron. Hangman goes up to join Daniels as Maximum Carnage returns to single picture. Hangman brings Daniels over, Alabama Lifts, but Daniels CLUBS away on Hangman’s back!
Daniels underhooks! Hangman lifts! Daniels fights and slips around, to then LARIAT Hangman into the ring! The fans rally up and Daniels steps back in. Daniels storms up on Hangman, but Hangman sends him into the chair! Daniels falls back, the chair stuck around his head! Hangman snarls again while Daniels sputters. Daniels rolls out and ends up on the table, so Hangman runs to DOUBLE STOMP him down through the table!! The fans lose their minds, the standing count begins, and Hangman watches Daniels crawl. Daniels manages to rise at 7, but Hangman KICKS him back down! Hangman rains down fists on the bloody forehead!
Hangman goes looking, and he finds a table with barbed wire on it!! Hangman shoves that into the ring, careful not to poke himself too bad. Hangman sets this monstrosity up near a corner, and Daniels has made his way to the apron. Hangman climbs the corner to bring Daniels up. The fans are already worried, and Hangman Alabama Lifts Daniels! Daniels fights with everything he has left! Daniels HEADBUTTS away on Hangman, then fires down elbows! Daniels slips in, clinches, and URENAGE DOWN THROUGH THE BARBED WIRE TABLE!!! The fans lose their minds while both men are down!
The ref clears the wreckage while both men crawl to the corners. Daniels runs in to LARIAT from behind! GERMAN SUPLEX! S T O! Daniels roars and the fans fire up! Daniels is done, Hangman wins!
Winner: Hangman Page, by knockdown
The medics check Daniels, but Hangman leaves him behind. But then on second thought, Hangman drags Daniels up! Underhooks and ANGEL’S WINGS!! Hangman adds insult to injury by using Daniels’ own move!! Hangman storms off, leaving Daniels to the medics. Is this the end of the Fallen Angel? Is this only the beginning of Hangman’s violent road back to the world title?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring.
He welcomes us back to Maximum Carnage, and he welcomes out Toni Storm! Cincinnati fires up as The Rockstar is back again, and “Rookie” Toni joins Schiavone in the ring. Schiavone notes her historic win in the inaugural Women’s Casino Gauntlet, and with it, her shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship! It will be Grand Slam: Australia, Toni’s hometown of Brisbane, how does she feel? Toni says honestly, she doesn’t even know what her life is right now. It is so surreal! All she can say is, her dreams are finally coming true!
Because she’s going to Australia, to the building where she saw her first wrestling show, and she’ll never forget how her mom scraped together all she could so that they could get tickets, just to sit in the back row. Mom sold hot dogs to pay for Toni’s training. Mom sewed together Toni’s original ring gear. Now Toni can call mom and tell her, “Get ready, cuz I’m coming home!” The fans cheer that! Schiavone says that is a great feeling, but Toni surely realizes she is facing Mariah May, and that is an entirely different feeling. The fans boo Mariah, but Toni says Mariah is “the best in the business today. She’s killing it!”
But Toni hasn’t even had a chance to introduce herself to Mariah. Maybe next week, in Jacksonville, Daily’s Place, the home of AEW… It’s time for Toni and Mariah to finally meet face to face. The fans cheer, but Schiavone wants Toni to understand. C’mon now, Toni. Aw, c’mon yourself, Schiavone! It’s Tony and Toni! That means… IT’S TONI TIME~! WOO~! Say it with her! Okay. It’s TONI TIME! The fans cheer and Toni gets Tony to be all fired up! But the point Schiavone was trying to get to is valid: Is Toni really unaware of her timeless rivalry with The Glamour?
The Hurt Syndicate speaks.
It was after the show on Wednesday that MVP said a definitive statement was made. MVP promised Lashley & Shelton that when they came to AEW, the championship gold would be theirs for the taking. The All Mighty has never been a tag team champion while the Standard of Excellence has many times. That changes everything. With the defeat, the ASS KICKING, they just put on Private Party, that should make the Hurt Syndicate the #1 contenders. So Private Party, time to crash the party! Next week, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Private Party better put up the AEW World Tag Team Championships against Shelton & Lashley. See what you’ve really got!
But just remember: #WeHurtPeople. Lashley says this ish is gonna be easy. He and Shelton fist bump, but will they put the hurt on Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy?
Six Man Tag: The Undisputed Kingdom VS Shane Taylor Promotions!
Adam Cole, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly are reunited once more, ready for more, and they have all sorts of targets in mind. But Lee Moriarty, Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo have their eyes on those same championship targets, which is why they’re crossing paths here tonight. Will #TAIGASTYLE & The Infantry show the Kingdom how to rumble, bad men, rumble? Or will Maximum Carnage be undisputed?
The trios sort out and the ROH Pure Champion starts against Adam Cole BAYBAY. They circle, tie up, and Lee already gets a leg pick. Lee then switches to a waistlock, Cole switches with him, repeat. Cole headlocks, Lee powers up and out, but Cole KICKS the backdrop! Cole then dodges the lariat, PELES, and he brings Lee over. Tag to Roddy, they mug Lee, and Roddy CHOPS! Roddy CHOPS again, then wrenches to a wristlock. Lee rolls, slips through, traps the arms, and he pulls on an ear! Tag to Dean, STP mug Roddy, and then Dean scoops, only for Roddy to slip free. Roddy shoves and DROPKICKS Dean down!
The fans fire up, Strong tags Kyle, and they CHOP and KICK away on The Captain! lee runs up, Kyle KICKS him down! Kyle & Roddy double suplex Dean onto Lee! Cover on Dean, TWO! Kyle drags Dean up but Dean JAWBREAKERS free! Tag to Carlie but Kyle kicks, clinches, and fires Muay Thai knee after knee! Kyle KICKS Carlie down, then stalks him to ropes. Kyle whips, Carlie reverses, and Dean trips Kyle up! The ref is arguing with Carlie, and now with The Kingdom, as Dean hits an APRON CUTTER! Carlie goes up and out to then GUILLOTINE AX HANDLE! Kyle flops down, STP pose together, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Kyle sputters, The Infantry distract the ref, and that lets Shane THROW Kyle into railing! Shane DECKS Kyle while The Kingdom protests! The ref keeps everyone back, and Dean brings Kyle around. Carlie puts Kyle in the ring, whips him to a corner, then storms up to JAB! JAB! JAB! Carlie pops, locks ‘n’ winds up, to CHOP! Carlie talks smack, tags Dean, then Dean sends Carlie in to SPLASH! Dena runs up, whips Carlie in again, forearm SMASH! Then Dean ELBOWS Kyle! Kyle staggers, into a LARIAT from Dean! The Captain scowls while he stands over Kyle. Dean then pushes Kyle to a cover, TWO!
Dean drags Kyle back, anchors him, then tags Lee. Lee drags Kyle up to UPPERCUT! Kyle staggers around, Lee Mongolian CHOPS! Kyle staggers some more, and Collision goes to break.
Collision returns while both Kyle and Lee are down. The fans rally up, both men crawl, hot tags to Dean and Cole! the fans fire up as Cole dodges Dean, BLASTS Lee & Carlie, but Dean waistlocks! Cole elbows free, then LARITS Dean down! And ELBOWS him! And BOOTS him! Dean staggers, Cole fireman’s carries, USHIGOROSHI! Cover, TWO! Cole keeps his focus and he climbs a corner. Dean rises, for the PANAMA- NO, Dean slips under the sunrise! But Cole SUPERKICKS! Cole suplexes, LAST SHOT! Cover, TWO!! Well, not quite the last shot, so Cole tags ROddy. Rioddy hauls Dean up to CHOP away!
Roddy runs, BLASTS Carlie, then runs to SHINING WIZARD Dean! Side to side, forearm SMASH! Then a RUNNING FACEBUSTER! Cover, Carlie & Lee break it! STP mugs Roddy, double whips, but Roddy grabs ropes! Roddy BOOTS and ENZIGIRIS Lee, Kyle sneaks a tag! Roddy TOSSES Carlie and Kyle FLYING KNEES him down! Lee runs up but Cole gets him with 52 Fake Out! Then a PANAMA SUNRISE! The fans fire up as Dean staggers up! Roddy & Kyle call their shot, TOTAL ANNIHILATION! Cover, Undisputed Kingdom wins!
Winners: The Undisputed Kingdom, by pinfall
STP put up quite the fight, but now Shane himself CLOBBERS Kyle! And he blocks a kick to KNEE Cole down! And he HEADBUTTS Roddy down! The fans boo but Big Bad Shaney T is that bad! He talks trash, even to Daddy Magic! Matt Menard says alright then! If Shane thinks he’s bad, then step to him! Or rather, step to DANIEL GARCIA! The TNT Champion makes his way out here, and he CLOBBERS Carlie! He CLOBBERS Dean! And he fires hands on Shane! Garcia throws off his jacket, storms in, and he fires more hands! Shane shoves Garcia away, but Kyle KICKS! Cole SUPERKICKS! Strong KNEE!
Daniel reels Shane in, SAIDO! The fans fire up as Garcia and the Undisputed Kingdom stand tall together! STP retreats, but then The Kingdom eyes that TNT Championship. Garcia holds it up, and he dares any which one of them wants it to come get it. Who will be the first from The Kingdom to challenge the Red Death?
AEW shares more footage from after Dynamite.
Alicia Atout was with Will Ospreay and asked him about the save he made for Kenny Omega against the Don Callis Family. What are his thoughts after all that? Ospreay says you can call it a save for Kenny but it was really Ospreay trying to get after Kyle Fletcher. But hey, he and Kenny have had their differences. Their battles in Japan and Canada have gone down as legendary. But they both know each other because of Don Callis. That is their link, that is how they’re tied together. Before, it was all about egos, but to be honest, this is bigger than both of them. Time they had a chat. Next week, Dynamite in Knoxville, Ospreay calls out Kenny to have that chat.
The Bruv wants to talk with The Best Bout Machine, will they come to an agreement when it comes to their common enemies?

Backstage interview with The Learning Tree.
Lexy Nair is with Chris Jericho, Bryan Keith & “Big Bill” Morrissey, and she asks Jericho about how on Dynamite, he assured us all that The Learning Tree and The Death Riders would be on the same page, and that Jon Moxley can trust them. How is Jericho so sure that things will go well when The Death Riders didn’t even show for this interview? The Redwood says, “As the Learning Tree always says, ‘Absence makes the heart grow fonder.'” Jericho says that’s so true. And Moxley isn’t the type to show up and do interviews. Jericho isn’t the type to stand here and allow someone to stir the pot.
So enough of this muckraking! Bryan Keith adds, “No mother effin’ muckraking!!” Lexy is a bit taken aback, but Jericho tells Moxley that he’ll address him directly. They’ve known each other a long time. They were the first two AEW World Champions! They have beaten the hell out of each other around the entire world! Moxley left this scar right on Jericho’s left eyebrow. See? And Jericho took a spike and tried to take Moxley’s eye. So like Jericho said, they’ve beaten each other all around the world, but tonight they have common enemies! Moxley knows there is no one in AEW as driven or as smart as Moxley as Jericho.
So if Moxley’s as smart as Jericho thinks, it would behoove Moxley to trust The Learning Tree. And if there’s any doubt, then The Learning Tree will prove it to you before you meet them in the ring. Lexy asks what he means, but Jericho counters with, “What does anything mean, Lexy?” Jericho storms off, Bill says that was a sick burn. Keith says it was a sick ass burn! The Learning Tree heads out, but seriously, what does Jericho mean? How’re they going to prove themselves to The Death Riders before their 12 Man Tag?
Backstage interview with Matt Menard & Daniel Garcia.
Collision returns as Lexy is now with Daddy Magic & The TNT Champion, and she notes them helping out The Undisputed Kingdom. Can they explain how and why? But before Garcia can, Roddy shouts at “DANIEEEL~!” The Kingdom thanks Garcia for that, they appreciate the help. And trust Cole when he says that if there’s anyone who understands competition, certainly it’s Garcia. It is a shame, though, that Garcia & Menard don’t have a third man, because Cole, Roddy & Kyle wanna prove they’re the best trio in AEW. Garcia says yeah, well, they’ll be in Jacksonville next week for Collision: Homecoming.
And Garcia remembers walking into Jacksonville three years ago with two people he barely even knew, at the bottom of the totem pole. Three years later, we’re going back to Jacksonville and it’s a completely different story. Menard checks with Garcia. Is he saying they’re call the brand new father? The new father? Then Kingdom is on! Homecoming, Jacksonville, Six Man Tag! Cole and the boys like that, and they head out. Will things still be undisputed? Or will Cool Hand Ange’s return to the ring tip the scales?
Max Caster is in the ring.
Platinum Max has both a mic and a leather bag, and he thanks the fans, missing how they’re booing him. But Caster says there has been a lot of issues going on within The Acclaimed. There are a lot of rumors online, a lot of talk, but he wants to clear the air right now with his teammate, Anthony Bowens. Caster asks Bowens to come to the ring, and he has the fans cheer Bowens on. Bowens does walk out here, and he grabs a mic for himself. Caster says this has gone on long enough. There has been a huge misunderstanding between the two of them. They are a great team, and more importantly, they are great friends.
The biggest issue here is that Bowens just won’t admit that Caster is the Best Wrestler Alive! The fans boo and Bowens stops Caster there. Bowens says it is finally time for Caster to listen! Because for the last five years, Bowens has tried with every fiber of his being to protect Caster in the ring, in the locker room, and in the media. Because they, The Acclaimed, were tag team partners, and then became best friends. But now Bowens has to live with the very uncomfortable truth that Caster has made Bowens into a liar! Because for those five years, Bowens has had to lie to every single fan about who Caster is as a person!
Because Cincinnati, you need to know that Max Caster is an arrogant, cocky, selfish, edge lord PIECE OF S*IT! And Caster wants the fans to believe he’s the Best Wrestler Alive? Newsflash: The fans believe YOU SUCK! The fans cheer, but Caster brings out a (fake) degree from his bag that says “Best Wrestler Alive!” Bowens says this is what he means! Cater is selfish, he lost the team spirit! Why did Caster start looking down on Bowens? Maybe it’s because Bowens is the Scissor King, not that Caster’s been doing that. Well guess what? Bowens is more than that! He possesses every tool necessary to be a world champion! Cincy agrees there!
Bowens has proudly represented AEW since he put pen to paper! He is the GADDAMN PRIDE of AEW! He is the Five Tool Player!! The fans cheer that! And Bowens doesn’t need some piece of paper to prove it. Caster says don’t touch him! Wait, the music hits? They’re both here, so that means it is DADDY ASS! Billy Gunn is back, mic in hand, and he sighs looking at his boys fighting. The fans cheer and Billy says first off, what is wrong with these two? They are The Acclaimed! AEW World Tag Team Champions, AEW World Trios Champions, and they got everyone to scissor just because it was cool!
Caster claims Billy doesn’t care about them! He just attached himself to a couple of young, hungry wrestlers like them just so they could hear the fans chant his name again. Billy made it about Billy, when it should be about MAX! The Best Wrestler Alive! Oh, and Anthony! They are best friends! Seriously! Okay? They are two guys who were randomly put together, didn’t know each other, but they became the winningest tag team in AEW history! Every team Billy has been a part of has broken up, and there’s a reason for that. Yeah, even Gunn Club! Billy’s own two sons did not want anything to do with him!
Billy gets pissed and he gets in Caster’s face. The fans tell Billy, “KICK HIS ASS! KICK HIS ASS!” Caster says he is not doing this. Bowens has to choose: Caster or Billy. If Bowens wants The Acclaimed to continue, it is either Caster or “washed-up” Billy Gunn. The fans cheer for “BILLY! BILLY!” Bowens is conflicted, but Caster stands there with open arms. Bowens offers the scissors, so Caster says okay. But then Bowens makes it a middle finger! The fans cheer as Bowens stands with Billy! So is that how it is? Caster says fine! Another bad decision from “Bad Decision Bowens.” You can’t walk away from Caster, he’s walking away from them!
Acclaimed is done because CASTER said so as leader of the team! It is Bowens’ fault, it is Billy’s fault, and it’s the fault of every fan here! Caster will prove to everyone that he IS the Best Wrestler Alive, and without him, Bowens sucks, Billy sucks, and all the fans suck! The fans chant “YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!” Bowens tells Caster that he didn’t need Caster then, and he doesn’t need Caster now! Get outta his life! Billy, Cincy, one last time! Throw the scissors up! The fans cheer as Bowens & Billy SCISSOR~! Caster is frustrated, but will he just have to put up or shut up?
Backstage interview with Swerve Strickland & Prince Nana.
Lexy is with The Realest and says the past few weeks, he and Ricochet have had this cat ‘n’ mouse game. But it was announced that February 5th, Dynamite in Atlanta, we will get Swerve VS Ricochet. But until then, what is Swerve’s strategy? Swerve says respectfully, the longer they waste time talking, the more time Ricochet has to get away. And as for “cat ‘n’ mouse,” this is more like lion and rat. It will end now. February 5th, Swerve gets Ricochet in the ring to himself, but Swerve plans on seeing him way before then. Swerve has been cursed with the ability where everything he touches dies…
With that said, Swerve plans on using that for when he gets his hands on Ricochet’s throat! The Most Dangerous Man is only going to be more dangerous from now on, will Ricochet have no chance of escape?

And what of Rated FTR? Are they still brawling with The Death Riders somewhere in Cincinnati? Will they be brawling all the way to Knoxville this Wednesday?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision here, but with some obvious new examples of Tony Khan forgetting his own stories. The Undisputed Kingdom VS Shane Taylor Promotions was a great Six Man Tag, and a great win for Cole, Roddy & Kyle now that they’re all back together, but I guess The Conglomeration meant nothing to anyone in the end. Secondly, Daniel Garcia making the save is fine and all, but why’re we pivoting away from how Garcia is friends with Private Party and should be helping them with The Hurt Syndicate? Not to mention, Shelton and Garcia still have beef from the C2 to settle, aka a TNT Championship match. Hurt Syndicate had a good promo, and it’s really hard to think Private Party retains the tag titles.
Back to Garcia, IÂ do appreciate we’re getting back to him teaming with Menard & Parker, and we’ll have a fun Six Man Tag for Homecoming, but I feel like Undisputed Kingdom wins again. We’ll probably get the Kingdom member who scores the fall challenging for the TNT Championship, so maybe like Kyle VS Garcia, but even that should be a one-off. If The Kingdom wants to be the “best trio” in AEW, that means they want the trios titles, and that means running afoul of The Death Riders, who already have Rated FTR after them. I suppose the easiest solution is just for Claudio, Yuta & Pac to defend against both teams in some kind of wild Trios match, but it’s hard to say if TK can sort out a mess like that.
There’s also the ROH World Six Man titles, but it doesn’t seem like The Von Erichs ever leave Texas. And All In: Texas is the big attraction for the Summer, so I can’t imagine “The Sons of Texas” losing in Texas… Well, that’s a problem to be solved later, we still got a good match from Dustin Rhodes tonight, but then that was about it. I was expecting someone from the ROH side to call him out for the tag titles, but nope. Gates of Agony had a very good promo to put a challenge of their own out there, and I suppose since they want the best possible, TK wasn’t going to short change them. Brody & Buddy having a match for Homecoming could help them introduce their new team name that is no longer House of Black related, given Malakai Black seems on his way out for real this time.
Speaking of, Julia had a very good match with Harley and got a very good win out of it. Julia still seems to be working the rust off but she can definitely find her way back to a title. If it’s Mercedes Mone still as TBS Champion, Julia isn’t winning. And even then, whoever beats Mone isn’t losing to Julia… Toni Storm had a good promo with Schiavone, especially the subtle way she stopped Schiavone from bringing up her past with Mariah. Whether this is a delusion or a deception, that will surely come to a head next week when Toni and Mariah meet face to face. I am really going to enjoy the moment Toni finally says, “How DARE you!” again.
Very good tag match of Murder Machines VS Top Flight, but of course Archer & Cage were going to win. They need their own momentum, for starters, and also they’re just massive. Depending on how the tag title match goes, I could see the Murder Machines going after Private Party, or even stepping to the Hurt Syndicate to make that the next phase of the Don Callis Family story. Ospreay had a good promo to bring up that feud, and I would think Ospreay’s chat with Omega next week is to make an alliance so that they can take on The Don Callis Family. Then as I said on Wednesday, we can get Ospreay & Omega VS Murder Machines first, then Ospreay & Omega VS Kyle & Konosuke after that.
Hangman VS Daniels was an awesome Texas Death Match, just a little bit short of the matches Hangman has had with Swerve. But even so, Daniels looked awesome, even with how he was bleeding and beat up. Hangman wins, of course, and he could go after just about anyone after this. And if this is Daniels’ sendoff as an in-ring competitor, what a way to go out, #ThankYouCD. Speaking of Swerve, he’s of course going to be hunting Ricochet, and the three weeks until Dynamite Atlanta will be some interesting ones. But I feel like they could’ve instead kayfabed that each week is meant to have Ricochet VS Swerve, Ricochet keeps ducking Swerve, and then TK takes an onscreen role to say enough is enough, Ricochet HAS to face Swerve in Atlanta, last warning.
Okada VS Ishii was a great match, and Okada sure hit all his usuals. Okada cheating to get the win is fitting of this Heel persona, but it’s hard to say where he’s going after this. Part of me wonders if Hobbs can step to him given how strong he’s getting to look lately. Good promo from Hobbs & Rated FTRunners, and I do commend Learning Tree for attacking after as a way of trying to win over The Death Riders. It didn’t work out, obviously, as Hobbs gets to look even stronger. Rated FTR and Death Riders brawling out of the building to take themselves out of the equation was smart, too, keeps them from being part of the math once Hobbs “heroically” goes out there and wins it for the Faces. Hobbs VS Okada would be an awesome match, and the promos oughta be fun, too.
My Score: 8.8/10
