AEW shares footage from All Out.

Jon Moxley hopes no one thinks he enjoyed doing what he did to Bryan Danielson, because he didn’t. He isn’t going to enjoy any moment when he does what needs to be done, because he would love nothing more than for Bryan to be by his side. But quite frankly, Bryan doesn’t have the stomach for this. Two years ago, Moxley and Bryan made a commitment to build something real, something tangible, something that would last for years and years, long after they’re gone. Something they could take pride in, something that couldn’t be destroyed or subjugated! It wouldn’t be for money or recognition, but because it was something worth doing.

They didn’t do it. “Mr. Patience, Mr. Empathy,” one of the best men Moxley’s ever known. Moxley looks around, and all he sees is egos out of control! Everywhere he looks, it permeates AEW, it is crawling with egos and Moxley can’t take it anymore! “Blood alone moves the wheels of history.” Their mentor, William Regal, called Bryan Danielson “the perfect wrestler.” Bryan was always his lordship’s favorite. But Regal saw himself in Moxley, and Lord knows Moxley is far from perfect. Regal once said men like them are who they are, and they can’t pretend to be anything else. Moxley ain’t a villain but he ain’t a hero.

Moxley knows now why God put him here. Moxley is “the one true king of these lands.” They tried Bryan’s way, and diplomacy has failed. Today, Moxley chooses war. The Maniac has spoken, who will be his next target?

Darby Allin skates into the arena.

The Relentless One has been on Moxley’s mind for weeks before All Out, but will Darby have a response for Moxley here tonight?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes Lexington, Kentucky to Dynamite, and welcomes now, Christian Cage & The Patriarchy! The fans boo as Captain Charisma makes his way to the ring, followed by Nick Wayne, Mother Shayna, and the still loyal Luchasaurus. That “Casino Contract” is still in hand, and Schiavone says All In London saw Christian win the Casino Gauntlet, guaranteeing him an AEW World Championship match whenever and wherever he wants. Christian tells Lexington to sit down and shut their mouths while he conducts business.

First thing’s first, Schiavone, Christian’s son, Nick, says that word on the street is, Christian Cage has infinite aura! The fans boo, but Christian says since he has carried this company on his back for the last year and a half, most would say that’s true. Now that he has this contract, it is undeniable! As far as Wembley goes, it didn’t start off how they wanted it, given they had the AEW World Trios Championships stolen from them! But they rallied, Christian won the gauntlet, but something very interesting happened. “When Killswitch grabbed me by the throat, and as he squeezed, I looked into his eyes, and I saw something that I’ve been waiting to see for the last two years.

“The lightbulb finally went off. And in that moment, he realized what he is and what I need him to be. He is a monster, he is a wrecking machine, he is a killer! He is the most complete big man in the business today, and he belongs… to me!” The fans boo but Schiavone brings up All Out, Christian’s attempt to get his shot after Bryan successfully retained the world title, but that didn’t happen. The fans cheer for “LUCHASAURUS! LUCHASAURUS!” but Christian says the rude people of Lexington need to quiet down, his name is KILLSWITCH. And yes, he was on his way, he was gonna cash in the contract, but then he decided it wasn’t the right time or place.

“But Bryan Danielson, make no mistake: Your days are numbered. And if you think being nearly suffocated was bad, that’s nothing compared to what I will do to you to take that World Heavyweight Championship. In fact, Bryan, I will beat you so bad, you’ll wish your wife was the one who has CTE, so she won’t be able to comprehend what an embarrassment you were as champion!” The fans boo Christian crossing the line there, but he tells them that before he goes, a reminder: Not only is Christian the Face of TBS now and forever, he is the reigning, defending, undisputed, NEXT AEW World Champion!

The fans boo as Christian holds up that contract, and it even says “Next AEW Champion” on the fancy folder. But will all of that come true? Oh, wait, Kip Sabian is spotted in the crowd, but then slips away. Will Mr. Superbad make sure Christian never gets what he wants?

Backstage interview with Will Ospreay and The Don Callis Family.

Renee Paquette says Don Callis himself asked for this time, wanting to speak with Ospreay, so the floor is his. Callis says, “Thanks, bruv, I appreciate you coming out here. I just wanted to talk to you because I got this great idea. It occurs to me that you’ve won every Casino Gauntlet match you’ve ever been in, and we have a Casino Gauntlet match tonight for a shot at the World Tag Team titles, you know how I’ve always wanted those belts, and I thought to myself, who could be better than the great Kyle Fletcher, and his good friend Will Ospreay who has never lost Casino Gauntlet match? Why don’t you guys team together for one night and go after the World Tag Team titles?”

Ospreay says he has a lot on his shoulders right now. He wants to defend his International Championship, he is keeping an eye on Ricochet, and he knows he owes Callis for letting him out of The Family- Yeah, Callis wasn’t going to bring that up but since Ospreay did… Ospreay owes a favor, and here it is. Ospreay’s a man of his word, he can team with his friend, what does he say? Kyle speaks up, saying he is so tired of coming so close but never quite getting it done. There is not a single person in this locker room, let alone the world, that knows Kyle better than Ospreay. They’ve teamed in four different countries, and there is not a single person Kyle would rather win the tag titles with. What does Ospreay say?

Ospreay says he can’t say no to Kyle! He may not be Mark Davis but he’ll do it! The Family is all fired up, except for Konosuke Takeshita. Callis has Ospreay & Kyle get going, but will The Aerial Assassin & Aussie Arrow take down all those other teams to go after The EVPs?

AEW TNT Championship: Jack Perry VS Lio Rush w/ Action Andretti!

Speaking of The Elite, The Scapegoat tried but failed to take the world title from Bryan Danielson. However, he still needs to show he is the Face of TNT and the future of AEW, will he do that here tonight? Or will The Bad Child make himself The Man of the Hour?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is willing to sacrifice for this moment!

Jack attacks before the bell! The fans boo as he stomps away on Lio! The ref reprimands, Jack lets off to throw his jacket on the camera. Jack then drags Lio up, whips him corner to corner, runs up, but Lio dodges! Lio fires hands, Jack puts Lio back in the corner, but Lio dodges again to CHOP! Lio fires more hands, whips, but Jack reverses. Lio reverses back and springboards to FLYING RANA! And DROPKICK! Jack bails out, Lio builds speed, but Jack hurries out of the way. Jack shoves Action just because he can, then goes to the apron. Lio handspring kicks Jack down! The fans fire up, Lio makes sure Action keeps his cool, but Jack knees Lio!

Jack THROWS Lio into railing, CHOPS him, then brings him around. Jack puts Lio on the apron, and DRAP- NO, Lio slips down and RAMS Jack into the apron! Lio gets space, comes back, but Jack pops him up! Lio lands on the apron to mule kick! ASAI MOONSAULT! Jack gets around, Lio lands on his feet, and Lio tilt-o-whirls, only for Jack to LAWN DART him into the apron! Lio falls, the fans boo, but Jack soaks up the heat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Lio sputters and sits up, but Jack goes back for him. Jack ROCKS Lio in the back, brings him around, and CHOPS! Lio flounders, Jack stalks him, then brings him around the way. Lio fights back, Jack CLUBS him down, and then Jack ROCKS Lio with a forearm. Lio staggers, dodges a chop, and he CHOPS! Jack staggers away now, but Lio pursues. Lio CHOPS again, Jack keeps stumbling, but then he CLAWS Lio’s eyes! Jack reels Lio in to snap suplex to the floor! Lio writhes, Jack rolls into the ring, and Jack paces while soaking up more heat. Action coaches Lio, but the count is climbing. Lio drags himself up, so Jack goes out to fetch him.

Jack puts Lio in, storms over, then drags Lio up to whip him hard into a corner! Lio bounces off buckles, Jack covers, ONE!! Lio toughs it out, but Jack stalks over to him. Lio fires hands and CHOSP! Jack CHOPS, whips, then ELBOWS Lio down! Cover, TWO! Jack is annoyed, and he sits Lio up to KNEE him in the back. Jack clamps on a chinlock to grind Lio down, then KNEES him again! Lio endures, even as Jack bends him back! Lio fights, Dynamite returns to single picture, and the fans rally up. But Jack CLUBS Lio back down! The fans boo but then Jack kicks at Action! The ref stops Action from getting on the apron, and Jack goes back to Lio.

Action grabs at Jack’s foot! The ref stops Action, and EJECTS him! Action is even angrier now, but Jack grins and waves bye. But this is helping Lio recover, and he drags himself up. Jack storms over, drags Lio around and suplexes, but Lio cradle counters! TWO!! Jack escapes, Lio bobs ‘n’ weaves to fire fast hands! Lio ROCKS Jack, whips, but Jack reverses. Lio slides to a stop, dodges, dodges, and TOSSES Jack, to then DIVE! Direct hit into railing but Lio keeps going! DIVE! Another hit into railing and the fans are thunderous! Lio drags Jack up and into the ring, and the fans fire up! Lio climbs, but Jack rises. Lio leaps over, but Jack comes back, SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO!

Jack survives but Lio refocuses. Lio checks the watch, runs, but Jack anchors a foot! Lio ENZIGIRIS Jack down, then builds speed, but Jack scoops! LAWN DART into buckles! Cover, TWO!! Lio survives and Jack is frustrated. Jack drags Lio up, full nelsons, SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX! Jack grins and says hi to Kenny, then he stalks Lio. Jack drags Lio up again, for a SNAP DRAGON! The fans boo but Jack full nelsons again. But Lio fights with elbows! The fans cheer, Lio slides under and hops up, POISON-RANA! Jack is down and the fans fire up as Lio rises! Lio runs, to RUSH- NO, Jack dodges the stunner to BLINDSIDE KNEE!

Lio staggers, Jack goes to the corner, and he again mocks the Yes Movement with middle fingers. Jack runs up, SACRIFICING KNEE! Cover, Jack wins!

Winner: Jack Perry, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)

The Scapegoat put Lio on the altar, and he continues on as The Face of TNT. But will Jack still make himself the face of the future?

Backstage interview with Jack Perry.

Alex Marvez catches Jack as he returns to the parking lot and commends him on the huge win tonight. But what are his thoughts about All Out last weekend? Jack says people like him are crucified in this life so they can be worshipped in the next. Jack gets back in his bus, and he drives off into the night. Will this self-appointed savior of AEW continue to do things how he wants?

Backstage interview with Hangman Page.

Renee Paquette is now with the Black Hat Cowboy, and brings up the lengths he has gone to “end” Swerve Strickland. From burning his childhood home to sticking a syringe in his mouth during the Lights Out Cage Match, where is Hangman’s head at now? Hangman says if he had found 1000 houses that Swerve had called home, then he would’ve burned 1000 homes to ash. And if that cage could not have been raised, then Hangman would’ve spent an eternity in pain just for the chance to punish Swerve for what he did to Hangman’s family.

Hangman meant every word that he said, he meant every bruise that he gave, and he meant every piece of flesh that he tore from Swerve’s body. Every drop of blood that he stole from Hangman, he meant it! And for the people who were there in person to witness it, make no mistake that Hangman meant it! And now, he speaks to the rest of the world. “If you got in my way, if you stood between he and I, and if you tried to protect Swerve Strickland from me, then I will find you, and I will hurt you.” The Hangman has a hitlist, who will have the misfortune of being on it?

Wait, Hangman’s already hit someone?! Who even was that? Then he spots Top Flight watching him. They shake their heads in disapproval, but then Hangman turns around to see The Dark Order. Evil Uno says he doesn’t even know who this is anymore. Hangman leaves them behind, but then spots Jeff Jarrett. The Last Outlaw tells “Hanger,” that the Jarretts have been in pro-wrestling for three generations. They’ve seen a lot of guys take the exact same path, this deep, dark, demented highway, that Hangman finds himself on. Hangman may be going the extra mile, but it all ends up in the same place: full of guilt, shame, remorse, and regret.

Jarrett tells Hangman that he is going to regret the day he laid hands on Karen. Hangman finds out like a lot of guys before, the toughest, most ruthless SOB that you will ever face in your life is the man in the mirror. Hangman DECKS Jarrett, then CLUBS away on him! Jarrett fights back, but Hangman THROWS Jarrett onto the chair rack full of spare chairs! Hangman says get off his back! He never asked Jarrett! Security rush in to back Hangman off, and both Karen and Jay Lethal rush in to check on Jeff. Is Hangman’s wrath going to burn down more than just houses and bridges?

Six Man Tag: Private Party & Komander w/ Alex Abrahantes VS ???

With what happened at All Out, it is hard to say if the AEW World Trios Champions will still even be a team, as Wheeler Yuta was the only one not in the loop about what was going to happen to Bryan Danielson. Can Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy and their new amigo earn their “SHOTS! SHOTS! SHOTS!” at the gold?

The trios sort out and- wait, Marina Shafir gets in the ring! She THROWS Komander right down while Moxley & Claudio drag Jon Cruz’s team out of the ring! Pac gets in to CLOBBER Zay and BOOT Quen! Cruz panics, he runs away but Claudio catches him! Gorilla press and SNAKE EYES off the barriers! Marina squeezes the air out of Komander while Claudio TOSSES Zay! Pac gets a mic to say, “Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls! We have been very, very patient, but ultimately enough is enough. This company is broken! What happened Saturday at All Out, that was inevitable. WE are inevitable! A product of this festering environment.

“And as for me, well I’ve been very lost for very long, but not anymore. Now I have something to believe in. A purpose! Diplomacy has failed, ladies and gentlemen. This company is OURS.” It is a hostile takeover by this new Blackpool Combat Club, if that’s even the name they’re using. Moxley looks to the rafters, but Darby isn’t up there. Then when and where will The Maniac get his conversation with Darby?

Chris Jericho and friends arrive.

They pull up in a nice blue Bentley convertible, with the license plate “H1 GUY5” on it. They hop out, and Jericho is wearing THE $7000 jacket stained in orange juice and dirt. Jericho says, “Hi, guys. Today is a glorious day to be The Learning Tree. I’ve got my brand new Bentley convertible, I’ve got my best, top students in The Bad Apple & The Redwood with me, and I also have the $7000 jacket that Orange Cassidy ruined when he poured orange juice on me over four years ago. So Orange, that’s why I took your backpack as collateral. Because I want my cash.

“And even though that $7000 wasn’t inside this backpack, I found something else inside that was very, very interesting. I’m gonna show everybody what it was and what it is, later on tonight.” Bill adds, “Learning Tree Lesson: Thou who does not pay his debts must suffer the consequences.” Keith says, “Suffer the damn consequences!” Jericho says, “Thanks, guys.” The group heads out, but will they get what they want from Freshly Squeezed? Or will they only get what they deserve?

Ricochet VS Sammy Guevara!

Ospreay motivated The One & Only to get going so that he can be the number one contender to the International Championship! Ricochet is doing just that by taking on a former TNT Champion, but will he make tonight #OuttaThisWorld? Or will the Spanish God earn himself some points by beating one of the most decorated men of all time?

The bell rings and the fans rally up for Ricochet. Sammy smiles and shrugs that off as he circles with Ricochet. They tie up, Ricochet trips Sammy, then things speed up. Ricochet rolls over the dropdown, but Sammy flips through the hip toss! Ricochet ducks the lariat, roll up, ONE! Sammy trips Ricochet, jackknife bridges, ONE! Ricochet blocks a boot, flips Sammy, but Sammy lands out! Sammy blocks a kick to flip Ricochet, but Ricochet lands out! They each duck kicks, then they both hold back on the superkicks! The fans cheer this standoff, and Ricochet pushes Sammy. Sammy pushes back! The fans fire up as these two circle.

The fans chant “This is Flippy!” but both men throw hands! Ricochet boots a lariat, mule kicks, then whips. Sammy reverses, but Ricochet flips over the dropdown! Then Ricochet rolls and handsprings to RANA! Kip up and DROPKICK! Sammy bails out, the fans fire up, and Ricochet builds speed. Ricochet FOSBURY FLOPS and lands on his feet! The fans fire up more and Ricochet feels that energy. Sammy goes up the ramp, Ricochet hurries after, but Sammy ROCKS him! And ROCKS him again! Ricochet UPPERCUTS back! They go up tot he stage, Sammy CHOPS! Ricochet ROCKS Sammy, and whips him, but Sammy reverses, Ricochet hits the tunnel!

Sammy lines up a shot, he SUPERKICKS Ricochet down! The fans are torn as Sammy goes up! Sammy is now on top of the tunnel, and he says he’s loco! ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Direct hit and Ricochet is sent tumbling! The fans lose their minds, the ref checks Sammy, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Sammy shakes out a leg, he might’ve jammed it up falling that far. Sammy manages to rise up, though, and he hurries after Ricochet. Sammy knocks Ricochet down, but Ricochet goes to the ring. Sammy steps back in, he CLUBS Ricochet on the back, and Ricochet goes to the corner. Sammy storms up, brings Ricochet around, and suplexes, only for Ricochet to block! Sammy fires body shots, then ROCKS Ricochet! And then SUPERKICKS! Cover, TWO! Ricochet is still in this but Sammy drags him up. Sammy suplexes again, but Ricochet kicks and flails! Sammy holds on, to SLAM Ricochet down! Cover, TWO!

Sammy stays cool as Ricochet stays in the match. Sammy hobbles a bit, adrenaline wearing off, and Ricochet CHOPS! Ricochet RAMS Sammy into a corner, whips him corner to corner, but Sammy reverses! Ricochet hits buckles hard and falls back, Sammy covers, TWO! Sammy clamps on a chinlock and he digs his knee into Ricochet’s neck. Ricochet endures, fights up, and fires body shots. Ricochet ROCKS Sammy, runs, but Sammy ELBOWS him down! Then STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, TWO! Sammy clamps on a chinlock and Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans rally with “FLIP FOREVER!” as Ricochet fights up.

Ricochet fires body shots again, then UPPERCUTS! Sammy wobbles, Ricochet runs, but Sammy hurdles, backflips, and DROPKICKS! Ricochet bails out, Sammy kips up so smooth, and the fans are torn. Sammy builds speed to WRECK Ricochet with a dropkick! Sammy goes after Ricochet, brings him up and throws him into barriers! The front row checks on Ricochet, but Sammy brings Ricochet around. Sammy whips Ricochet at the ring, Ricochet reverses. Sammy stops himself, ELBOWS Ricochet back, then slides into the ring. Sammy builds speed and FLIES! Direct hit and down goes Ricochet!

Sammy blows a kiss to wifey Tay, then goes back for Ricochet. Sammy reels Ricochet in, but Ricochet fights the lift! The ring count climbs, and Ricochet BACKDROPS Sammy onto the ramp! Sammy writhes, Ricochet warns fans they better move. Ricochet rises up, runs up, and uses the barriers to go up and up and CANNONBALL! Down goes Sammy and the fans are thunderous! Ricochet then gets Sammy up, puts him in, and RAMS Sammy at the ropes. Ricochet springboards to FLYING LARIAT! Direct hit and the fans fire up again! Ricochet runs to SHOOTING STAR! Cover, TWO! Sammy is still in this but Ricochet stays cool.

“This is Awesome!” as Ricochet aims, to KICK! And KICK! Sammy ducks the buzzsaw to roll Ricochet, TWO! Ricochet dodges the lariat to mule kick! Ricochet runs, but Sammy jumps, into a fireman’s carry! Ricochet pops Sammy up, but Sammy makes it a DESTROYER! He learned that from The Natural! Sammy then runs corner to corner, RAM and apron, GAMANGIRI! Sammy goes up to FLYING CUTTER!! Cover, TWO!! Ricochet survives and Sammy cannot believe it! The fans fire up for “A E DUB! A E DUB!” and Sammy lets his hair down. Sammy goes up the corner, SHOOTING STAR- NO, he has to bail out as Ricochet moves!

Sammy comes back, Ricochet boots and somersaults, but into a JUMP KNEE! Ricochet falls, Sammy slashes his throat, the fans are torn, but Sammy torture racks! GO TO- NO, Ricochet deflects the knee to KNEE back! And BUZZSAW! And AX KICK!! Ricochet roars and the fans are thunderous! Ricochet dragon sleepers Sammy for the VERTIGO DRIVER! Cover, Ricochet wins!

Winner: Ricochet, by pinfall

Lexington gives this a standing ovation, Ricochet has a big win under his belt now! But then BEAST MORTOS SPEARS RICOCHET!! Sammy rushes in with a chair! Sammy runs Mortos off! Sammy won’t let Mortos pick the bones of his opponent, and he shows Ricochet respect by helping him up. The fans cheer, but will Ricochet’s next match be an obvious one? Will the One & Only be able to get past that menacing minotaur?

Backstage interview with Kazuchika Okada.

Renee is with the Rainmaker and congratulates him on retaining the AEW Continental Championship in that Fatal 4 Way, in which he defeated Orange Cassidy, Mark Briscoe and Konosuke Takeshita. What is next for him? Okada says defending this title at All Out was the hardest night of his life. But he won! He did it! Okada is emotional as he says it was so… easy. Okada laughs, but then in steps Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita. Callis says yeah, it looked easy for Okada. Congratulations. But what Okada didn’t do was pin Takeshita. Okada says Takeshita will be a champion, just not the Continental Champion. Okada leaves, but then comes back just to say, “B*TCH!”

Konosuke steps up to Okada, but now Okada leaves for real. When and where will The Alpha get his 1v1 shot at Okada’s gold?

Darby Allin heads to the ring!

We knew he was here, but now he makes his presence felt by walking down the ramp. The 2024 Royal Rampage winner prepares for AEW Grand Slam in just two weeks, and he gets himself a mic. The fans cheer Darby on, and Darby says, “Somebody’s been looking for me. I’m right here.” Darby paces around, then watches the crowd side entrance. Moxley’s music hits, but will he return from the crowd? Yes, he does! But he also has The Problem leading the way. Moxley even has hands up and shows he has nothing on him, not even under his shirt or in his pockets. Moxley & Marina return to the ring, and Marina stares Darby down first.

Moxley picks up a mic as he steps in and has Marina stand down. Moxley then tells Darby that he isn’t sure what Darby thinks he saw or what he’s heard, but nothing has changed between Moxley and Darby. Nothing at all. Darby says that’s enough! There is a lot Darby wants to talk with Bryan about. They don’t act like superstars, they don’t live in a fantasy world, because they came from nothing, and they will stop at nothing to make sure they never go back to it. Darby was a homeless dishwasher, no confidence, everything he owned inside the trunk of his car. And he doesn’t take any of this for granted.

That’s why he wrestles the way he does! Everyone tells Darby to slow down, take it easy, he won’t be able to wrestle when he’s 40. But Darby doesn’t take any of this for granted! AEW gave Darby everything! Darby wants to tell Moxley a story he’s never told anyone. Darby’s first year in wrestling, he looked for a hero, someone he could aspire to be like. And every time he thought he found that person, they showed him how fake they were. We’re talking people Darby thought were killers who took no crap from anybody, only to find that their dignity could be bought and they’d sell their soul for a dollar.

But not Moxley! Moxley didn’t change for anybody, and that is when Darby knew he wanted to be just like him. Fans are torn, but Darby says to this day, Moxley would wrestle on the independents in a high school gym because he loves this business. The fans cheer that! Darby says this isn’t about ego or money, Moxley loves this industry! Where did these two first meet? It wasn’t AEW! It was in a high school gym on the indies! And Darby remembers being so nervous that day. He got to wrestle his hero, Jon Moxley. He lost that match, but what he gained was the confidence that he belonged in the ring with someone like Moxley.

There aren’t a lot of people you can consider family, and when you find someone like that, you hold on to them. You can trust them to the very end. But then what’d Moxley do to Bryan?! Darby would never do that to someone he considers family! He could never do that to Sting. So then and there, Darby knew he never wanted to be anything like Moxley! So what does Moxley want?! Why is he calling Darby out!? Moxley says, “My man. I’m gonna cut right to the chase. You have a world title shot in the bank, that was supposed to happen at Grand Slam, September 25th, in New York City. That’s not gonna happen now. The world champion is indisposed.

“But it’s a good thing. It’s a blessing in disguise, Darby. You are not ready. You are not ready to be world champion. You weren’t ready five years ago, you weren’t ready two years ago, you’re not ready today. I don’t have time to explain. But I’m gonna need you to hand over that title shot to me.” The fans boo and Darby scratches his head. Is Moxley stupid? Did he not hear what Darby was saying? Did he get dropped on his head drinking again? Moxley is sounding like everyone he hates, like everyone he talks about in the back being self-entitled. Moxley didn’t earn this shot, Darby did! And Darby isn’t just giving it.

If Moxley wants it so badly, then he can do something about it! Moxley looks to Marina, gets frustrated and says if Darby wants him to earn it, then Moxley will earn it. Moxley VS Darby, Grand Slam, September 25th, the world title shot on the line! Moxley will teach Darby another lesson, and show him exactly where he stands on the food chain. And it will always be very far below Moxley. Darby will never be AEW World Champion. Moxley knows it, has always known it, and he believes in Darby! He loves Darby! He’s the one guy around here who has always had Darby’s back, and Moxley doesn’t like having to say it, he doesn’t have time to explain everything.

But trust Moxley when he says this, because he has never lied to Darby, that Darby has no idea what’s going on. That title shot is going to be Moxley’s. This time, Moxley teaches Darby that lesson the hard way! Darby says challenge accepted. And he doesn’t know what Moxley’s doing around here, but if he wants to burn AEW to the ground, don’t be surprised when Darby pulls Moxley into the fire. Darby shoves Moxley, Marina steps up, but Moxley again has her stand down. The fans are behind Darby, and Moxley bows in respect before taking his leave. But will Moxley take away the golden ticket Darby fought so hard to have?

Backstage interview with Christopher Daniels.

Alex Marvez is with The Fallen Angel and says there have already been some monumental news. Darby VS Moxley, the title shot is on the line, how does this affect Grand Slam? Daniels says Darby has always been a risk taker, but this gamble seems unnecessary. But then in steps Nigel McGuinness! Nigel wants a word with Tony Khan. Daniels says it’s the middle of the show, what could Nigel want? Nigel says trust him, TK will wanna hear this. C’mon. Daniels follows Nigel, just what is it Nigel hopes to hook the boss with?

AEW takes a moment of silence for 9/11/01.

AEW Women’s World Championship Title Eliminator: Mariah May VS Queen Aminata!

The Glamour has stolen the spotlight from The Leading Lady, has slain the Native Beast, and even insulted Chicago’s own Skye Blue last Saturday at All Out. But now, the One True African Woman in Wrestling is stepping up, looking to humble her! Will Aminata earn a golden ticket to a full shot at this title? Or will things still be All About Mariah?

The bell rings and the two run up! Mariah trips up Aminata, taunts her, then runs, but Aminata avoids the shotgun! Aminata runs up, Mariah ducks the Penalty Kick and rolls her up, TWO! Mariah fires a forearm! Aminata fires back! Mariah smirks, then fires another forearm! Aminata nods, comes back, and fires another! Mariah fires a flurry, then SLAPS Aminata! Mariah smiles, runs, but Aminata SLAPS back, then LARIATS!

The fans fire up and Aminata runs, to PENALTY KICK! Mariah sputters and goes to ropes, and Aminata runs up! Mariah avoids the boot, then CLUBS Aminata on the back! Mariah puts Aminata in ropes, the ref reprimands, but Mariah bends Aminata back! The ref counts, Mariah lets off, then kisses Aminata on the cheek. Mariah runs to SHOTGUN Aminata in the back! Aminata falls, Mariah goes out to drag Aminata onto the apron. Mariah CLUBS Aminata, then runs to BOOT her! Aminata dangles over the edge, Mariah teases the fans, then brings Aminata around while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Mariah whips Aminata hard into railing and Aminata slumps down! Mariah mocks Aminata’s pain, then digs her boots into Aminata against railing. The ref reprimands, Mariah lets off, and she SMACKS Aminata off the apron. Mariah CHOPS, then rolls into the ring. Mariah rolls back out, refreshing the count. Mariah takes her time following after Aminata, and Dynamite goes to break.

Dynamite returns and Mariah teases the fans more. Mariah goes up a corner, Aminata rises, and Mariah MISSILE DROPKICKS her down! Aminata tumbles to the far corner, and Mariah storms over. Mariah drags Aminata up, bumps her off buckles, then puts her up top. Mariah puts some stank on the CHOP! The fans “WOO~!” and Mariah swaggers around. Mariah runs, rolls, but Aminata denies her the Stratusfaction! Aminata BOOTS Mariah, then goes up and around to roll her up! TWO, and Aminata blocks a haymaker to wrench and snap suplex! The fans fire up and Aminata brings Mariah back up, GERMAN SUPLEX!

Mariah tumbles, sputters, and the fans fire up! Aminata rises, runs in, and BOOT WASH! Mariah sputters more, Aminata says she is the one and only! Aminata drags Mariah to a cover, TWO! Mariah stays in this but Aminata stays on her. The fans duel, Aminata reels Mariah in, POWRE- NO, Mariah slips free and then gets around Aminata. Mariah spins Aminata to cravat, KNEE SMASH, and then suplexes onto ropes! DRAPING DDT! Cover, TWO!! Mariah struck like a Viper but it wasn’t enough to stop Aminata! The fans rally, Mariah drags Aminata up, and fireman’s carries. But Aminata fights free to DOUBLE CHOP!

Aminata reels Mariah in, scoops her, and MICHINOKU DRIVERS! Cover, TWO!! Mariah survives but Aminata fires up! Aminata drags Mariah around, stomps her, then goes up the corner. The fans fire up and Aminata aims, DIVING DOUBLE- NO, Mariah dodges the stomps, to SHOTGUN! Mariah isn’t done, she drags Aminata up and runs, to KNEE her down! But then she hits STORM ZERO!! Cover, Mariah wins!

Winner: Mariah May, by pinfall (denies Queen Aminata a title match)

Aminata was Mariah’s first AEW opponent, and certainly put up a great fight, but it wasn’t enough to stop The Glamour! Mariah gets a mic before she frolics around a la Toni Storm. Mariah poses with the belt, pretends to pout, and says, “I still haven’t had my AEW Women’s World Championship celebration! Something’s missing! Someone’s missing. MINA SHIRAKAWA~! Please come back.” Mariah calls for her former tag partner, but will the Fighting Gravure Idol honor this request?

The Young Bucks speak.

Nicholas tells the cameraman to film them right now. Matthew says when they first started AEW, and stood on stage behind the podium, The Bucks said they wanted to make the greatest tag team division of all time. Looking back, little did they know that they were just talking about themselves! Because they ARE this tag team division! If you’d asked anyone else what they’d be doing five years in, they’d say The Bucks would just settle into their cushy EVP jobs, sitting behind desks, taking meetings all day. But no, The Bucks are still here doing all the heavy lifting!

And they hear the whispers, how the fans are outraged with The Bucks. “We want a NeW tAg TeAm to take over the division~!” No, don’t be mad at The Bucks! Be mad at all the teams who couldn’t beat them! Teams who haven’t been good enough to replace them! Nick says that is the truth. It is why they booked the first-ever Tag Team Casino Gauntlet. They are waiting. Is there any team that can get a shot at the greatest tag team of this or any other generation? We’ll find out. Because the winners face The Bucks at Grand Slam. Good luck, everyone, you’re gonna need it, because The Bucks will be watching live at ringside!

As if the title opportunity wasn’t motivation enough, The Bucks have no made this a point of pride. Who is lucky enough to not just get in but win the Tag Team Casino Gauntlet?

Six Man Tag: Chris Jericho, “Big Bill” Morrissey & Bryan Keith VS The Iron Savages!

While The Learning Tree waits for a response from Orange Cassidy, he is teaming with his Branches to see if they can’t climb up the ranks towards those AEW World Trios Championships. Will the Jericho Vortex chew up Jacked Jameson, Bulk Bronson & Beefcake Boulder then spit them out? Or will Lexington be sippin’ sauce and livin’ hoss?

The trios sort out and Boulder steps up against Jericho. Jericho is still wearing the dirty old jacket? Jericho and Boulder step up, and then Jericho SLAPS Boulder! Boulder frowns, then DECKS Jericho! The fans fire up as Boulder motorboats. Boulder brings Jericho up, kicks him then BODY BLOWS! Boulder whips, Jericho grabs ropes and tags to Big Bill! The fans fire up for Bill, and they also fire up for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Boulder steps to The Redwood, one of the few men taller than him, and Bill says okay, big boy, he sees him! They tie up, are in a deadlock, but Bill knees low! And CLUBS Boulder on the back!

Bill shakes out his hand, and he whips, but Boulder blocks! Boulder whips but now Bill blocks! Boulder powers through to send Bill to the corner after all! Boulder SPLASHES Bill, then stomps around. The fans fire up as Boulder brings down the straps! But Bill dodges, Boulder runs into buckles! Bill runs back in to SPLASH! Bill keeps moving, Keith tags in before Bill BOOTS Boulder down! Jameson tags in, too, just before Bill LARIATS Boulder up and out! Keith dodges Jameson to GAMANGIRI! Jameson staggers, Bill BOOTS Bronson for good measure! Keith runs up, Jameson ELBOWS him! Jameson goes up, but Keith RISING HEADBUTTS!

Keith goes up now, he reels Jameson in, DIAMOND DUST STUNNER! Now Jericho wants back in? Keith tags Jericho, Jericho has the cocky cover! Jericho’s team wins!

Winner: Chris Jericho, “Big Bill” Morrissey & Bryan Keith, by pinfall

The Learning Tree and his Branches are victorious, but now to business! Jericho gets a mic, Keith gets the backpack, and Jericho says, “Hi, guys! And here I stand, in my custom made, original Sergio Georgini designer jacket, that I paid $7000 for, that Orange Cassidy ruined by pouring orange juice over me four years plus ago! Now Orange, I want my $7000 back! But I keep feeling like you’re not gonna give it to me, so I’m just gonna keep taking your things. Like your beloved, trusty backpack.

“Now, I looked through your backpack, there was no money in it, but I found something very interesting. This is what I found.” Jericho pulls out a framed picture of The Best Friends as they once were: Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta & Kris Statlander, all hugging in the ring. This is Orange’s problem! He is still obsessed with friendship! So let Jericho give him a lesson. “There are no friends in pro-wrestling. And if you think you have a friend, you’re probably being used.” Bill gives Jericho a rather confused look. But Jericho says Orange needs to pull his hands out of his pockets, and his head out of his ass!

Forget about friendship, and pay Jericho his money! He wants his cash! He wants his CASH! He wants it, Cassidy will give it to him, and- Wait, Cassidy is on the tron! He says, “Hey, people. Or, hi, trees…? Sorry, I forgot how it goes. But Chris, um, I do have your $7000, I really do.” Cassidy pulls stuff out of his pants pocket, but it looks to be lint, a lollipop, a crumpled up $1 bill and some quarters. Well, okay, he doesn’t have it all on him. But his boys are bringing the rest. Cassidy waves over, and we see Mark Briscoe & Kyle O’Reilly riding a crawler loader?! And guess where it’s headed! THE BENTLEY!!

Everyone freaks out seeing Briscoe DUMP… coins?! A variety of quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies, that means means The Conglomeration just dumped no less than 28 THOUSAND coins onto the car! Jericho is freaking out, but it could’ve been a lot worse, actually. Cassidy takes a look. He leaves the crumped up dollar bill and he takes a couple quarters back. Okay, that should do it. Jericho is furious, who knows where those coins have been!? The fans chant “KEEP THE CHANGE! KEEP THE CHANGE!” but does this change nothing between The Learning Tree and Freshly Squeezed?

AEW returns and Nigel McGuinness is in the ring.

He welcomes us back to Dynamite, and hopes we forgive the interruption, but there is something he has to get off his chest. Nigel says with Darby putting his title opportunity on the line against Moxley at Grand Slam, that means there will not be an AEW World Championship match. And to be honest, that’s great for the champion, who right now is probably strapped to an iron lung, gasping for air like… well, Justin Roberts when he was choked with his own tie. That’s low, Nigel… But it isn’t so good for AEW. Because as a former (ROH) world champion himself, Nigel believes Grand Slam should have the AEW World Champion at least compete.

Which brings Nigel to this! He brings out a contract and the fans like where this is going. “How many years I have had to watch from the sidelines, Bryan Danielson’s career? An afterthought. A postscript to his success that should’ve been MINE! Because Bryan Danielson is afraid of me! He is afraid of the one match that everybody wants to see!” Fans really like where this is going now! Nigel says Tony Khan isn’t afraid. Tony Khan knows a money match when he sees one! Nigel opens the paper to reveal that at Grand Slam, it will be Bryan Danielson… take a breath, Bryan… AGAINST NIGEL MCGUINNESS!!

The fans are thunderous and losing their minds! Nigel says he can guarantee us, that in Arthur Ashe Stadium, Oasis will play Nigel to the ring! But will Bryan join him to The Final Countdown? Or have we seen the final match of the American COWARD!? The fans are a bit torn now, but Nigel says ball is in Bryan’s court. Nigel is back and he’s all fired up, but is he taking advantage of Bryan’s condition? Or is he only setting himself up to be who Bryan takes out his anger on?

Hook speaks.

“Roddy Strong. I respect you. For years, rope to rope, bell to bell, one of the greatest professional wrestlers worldwide. You’re respected in locker rooms all around this globe. Like I said, Roddy, I respect you. However… My respect for you is disturbed, once you and your buddies decided to jump me after I choked you out. And you’re all whining about your foot was under the rope. This is not the Roddy Strong that I know and respect. I just regained this championship after beating a legend in Wembley Stadium, fighting tooth ‘n’ nail. And I’m challenging you now, Roddy. And I’m waiting for you to accept.

“Any time and place you want. So tell me, Roderick, when’s it gonna be? I wanna see you try and take this away from me.” The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil has dared the Savior of the Backbreaker to try and break him. Who will it be holding the orange ‘n’ gold when it’s all said and done?

The Young Bucks head to the ring.

As they promised, they’re here live and in person to watch the match they put together. They also make staff bring their armchairs out from gorilla so they can sit on stage. There’s no telling who will make it into the ring, but who will find a way to win it all and head for Arthur Ashe Stadium?

AEW World Tag Team Championships #1 Contenders Tag Casino Gauntlet!

First out, well, certainly The Bucks’ least favorite choices, F T R! Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood walk right past The EVPs, will the #TopGuys make it back to the tag title scene? Joining them? The reunited Will Ospreay & Kyle Fletcher! Time to put that Casino Gauntlet win streak to the test, will the Aerial Assassin & Aussie Arrow be aimed right at The Bucks?

The bell rings, the brawl is on, and while Ospreay throws hands with Cash, Kyle LARIATS Dax up and out of the ring, going out with him! Cash whips, Ospreay ducks ‘n’ ROCKS Cash, then whips back. Cash reverses again, but Ospreay again ducks ‘n’ dodges to KICK Cash! Ospreay keeps moving, and he RANAS Cash! Cash tumbles, the fans sing for Ospreay, and Ospreay runs to springboards, but into a Gory Especial! Ospreay fights free, dodges Cash, then springboards again! Cash stops the cutter, whips Ospreay away, and Dax slides back in. SHATTER- NO, Ospreay slips free, but Dax stops the rana! SLINGSHOT BOMB! Cover, Kyle breaks it!

Cash CLUBS away on Kyle and the ref checks Ospreay. His neck is a concern after his battle with Pac at All Out. Cash UPPERCUTS Kyle, then CHOPS him! Cash brings Kyle around to UPPERCUT, but Kyle ROCKS Cash! Dax CHOPS Kyle, then whips. Kyle reverses to scoop and MICHINOKU DRIVER! Kyle then sets up and Ospreay MOONSAULTS off him! Cover, TWO! Dax stays in this, The Bucks are nonplussed, but the former United Empire members double whip Dax. They try to figure out who goes first, Kyle says him, and he runs up. Dax puts him on the apron and Cash is there to LARIAT! Ospreay runs up, Dax puts him on the apron!

Ospreay ROCKS Dax, GAMANGIRIS Cash, then goes up the corner. Dax UPPERCUTS first! And CHOPS! Dax climbs, Cash coordinates! SUPERPLEX for the Power! DIVING SPLASH for the Glory! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives, the fans countdown with the clock, and team three is… THE RIGHTEOUS! Dutch & Vincent storm out, making their return to Dynamite! They all fire hands with FTR, then whip Dax to a corner. Dutch SPLASHES, Vinnie dodges Kyle to tilt-o-whirl and RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Dutch whips Cash to a corner, Cash BOOTS back! Cash then puts Dutch in the corner, UPPERCUTS, then sends Vinnie into Dutch!

Cash ROCKS Vinnie, runs, and ducks Vinnie’s lariat, only to take the BIG BOSS MAN SLAM! Vinnie goes up now, SWANTON BOMB! Cover, TWO! Cash stays in this, but Righteous stands Cash up. AUTUMN- NO, Ospreay saves Cash to save the match! But Ospreay also pops Vinnie into position, only for Dutch to BOOT him! Vinnie SLIDING FLATLINERS! Cover, TWO! Ospreay bails out, Dax sits up, into a SLIDING FLATLINER! Cover, TWO! Vinnie huffs ‘n’ puffs, but he cools off, only for Kyle to get him! SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Dutch runs up, knees Kyle low, then whips him to a corner. Dutch runs up, but blocks a boot! Kyle still SUPERKICKS!

Kyle goes up, leaps, FLYING CUTTER! Cover, TWO! The countdown is back, Kyle brings Dax up to TOSS him. Here comes The Kingdom! Matt Taven & Mike Bennett don’t like The Bucks much better and the feeling is mutual, but The Kingdom hurries to the ring. Taven pops Kyle right up, BOSTON BAYONET from Bennett! Cash is back, but he gets a HEEL KICK! Taven sends Bennett in at the corner to forearm SMASH Kyle! Taven SPLASHES, then Bennett fireman’s carries, only for Ospreay to BOOT Bennett! Ospreay CHOPS Taven, CHOPS again, then whips. Taven reverses, Bennett fireman’s carries, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER!

JUST THE TIP o’ the knee! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives, Kingdom intercepts Dax, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Taven fires hands on Ospreay and Ospreay dangles out of the ring. He comes back to fire hands on Taven, and now it’s just brawling all over! Bennet and Dax trade CHOPS, Dutch is after Cash, and Kyle fires forearms on Vinnie! The ref does his best to stay out of the way, and Kyle DECKS Vinnie! Ospreay stomps away on Taven, Dax clears out Bennett, then he CLUBS Dutch! Ospreay BOOTS Dutch, and now FTR regroups to stare down Ospreay & Kyle. The fans fire up as they all brawl! FTR gets the edge, kicks Kyle out, and they whip Ospreay. Ospreay ducks the lariats to handspring and DOUBLE PELE!

FTR bails out, Ospreay feels the energy from the fans, and he points to Kyle! Kyle goes up to ARIHARA MONSAULT FTR! Kyle fires up, the fans are with him, but The Kingdom blindsides Ospreay! They BLAST Kyle, then set Ospreay up! PROTON PACK!! Cover, Vinnie breaks it! The Righteous return to get in The Kingdom’s face, and they start throwing hands! These ROH rivals brawl, a ROLLING ELBOW wobbles Dutch! But Dutch scoops Bennett! Taven BOOTS Dutch, but Vinnie hits a SIDE EFFECT! Bennett SPEARS Vinnie! All four men in the ring are down, and Nick actually applauds. The teams stir, and Bennett stalks Vinnie.

Dynamite returns to single picture, fans tell off The Bucks, but Bennett hits Vinnie with a BIG back suplex! The countdown is back, and THE ACCLAIMED are here! The Bucks are a bit flustered, and they argue with Caster & Bowens as they appear. Platinum Max & The Five Tool Player leave them alone to go to the ring. They dodge Taven & Vinnie to then fire hands on everyone! Bowens keeps on Bennett, Caster keeps on ol’ Dutch. Then they go back to Taven and Vinnie! Dax goes after Ospreay on the outside but Kyle helps out. Cash goes after Kyle, the fans are fired up for all this action! Wait, is that Stokely Hathaway there applauding?

The fans fire up as Caster SUPERKICKS Taven! Acclaimed kick Bennett then whip him to a corner. Bowens forearm smashes, Caster elbows, then Bowens SMASHES! Whip and scoop, POWERSLAM from Platinum! Dutch returns, Bowens spins and ROLLING ELBOWS! Caster reels Dutch in to fireman’s carry! DEATH VALLEY BOMB! Cover, but Cash breaks it! Bowens kicks Cash, TOSSES him, but Dax returns! Caster kicks and “SUCK IT!” FAMOUSER!

Bowens runs, FAMOUSER from him, too! Shoutout to Daddy Ass, but here comes another team! It’s… MXM COLLECTION! Mansoor & Mason Madden have made their presence known to The Acclaimed, and after a quick pose, they rush the ring! The Iron Chic & Mahogany Hunk stare down Caster & Bowens, only for The Kingdom to shove MXM into The Acclaimed! The fans boo as The Kingdom mugs Mason. They double whip, but Mason breaks the line to DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE! Then he sends Mansoor in to LARIAT Bennett! Mason ELBOWS Bennett, feeds him to the Manhattan Drop, then Mansoor dropkicks legs out!

Mason runs up, HIP ATTACK! The fans fire up but now Taven runs up! Mason scoops Taven, Mansoor runs, CATWALK LEG DROP! And they POSE! The fans fire up as MXM reach out, but The Acclaimed run back in! They dodge MXM, but are tripped up by The Righteous! The Kingdom get in to go after MXM while The Acclaimed fight off The Righteous. The fans boo, and we still see FTR brawling with Ospreay & Kyle. Someone’s CHOP echoes out. Bowens & Caster get in, they go after The Kingdom! Dax sends Ospreay into steel steps! The Acclaimed try to suplex but The Kingdom fights it! They call for help, and The Righteous join The Kingdom.

But then MXM joins Acclaimed! QUADRUPLE SUPLEX on #RighteousKingdom! A bit of a mess but it was effective, and the fans are loving this! MXM & Acclaimed rise, and they stumble back into each other, as Dynamite goes picture in picture!

MXM & Acclaimed see each other, and instinctively, scissors and tips come out! Fingers, that is. After an awkward stare down, Mansoor CHOPS Bowens and the brawl is on! Bowens TOSSES Mansoor, Caster ROCKS Mason, but then Mason comes back! The Acclaimed DUMP Mason out to join Mansoor! Dax runs in, but Bowens clinches for THE ARRIVAL! They go back and forth, then Ospreay fires up to fire a flurry! Bowens fires back, and he ROCKS Ospreay! Bowens whips, Ospreay reverses, but Bowens swings around to DDT! Cover, TWO! The Bucks are still nonplussed as Bowens whips Ospreay to a corner. Ospreay goes up and over, Kyle GAMANGIRIS Bowens! And there you have it! Matthew & Nicholas will now face the Aerial Assassin & Aussie Arrow! Will Ospreay & Fletcher take down The Young Bucks? Or will The EVPs still be the Faces of Tag Team Wrestling?

My Thoughts:

An awesome Dynamite here to turn the corner from All Out and head for Grand Slam. For one, a very well done vignette to open the show, one of AEW’s best in some time really. Moxley’s motives were made clear: The Blackpool Combat Club aimed to do something, they didn’t do it to the level Moxley hoped, and he blames Bryan. And now that Bryan is on his way out, Moxley wants to be the one that ends him while “course correcting” things. That was enhanced by this new crew “ruining” the Six Man Tag of Private Party & Komander VS Jon Cruz and jobbers, which is a great use of a filler match really.

Moxley also had a very good promo with Darby to set up a match between them. While in the moment, giving out contenders matches seemed stupid, this was a great reveal of a longer term plan. Moxley wants to show Darby he’s not ready, and maybe he’s right. Not when it comes to in-ring and aesthetics, Darby’s great with that. Darby’s promo style isn’t quite perfected, because it still feels like he rushes through his lines. But depending on how they want to do this, Darby VS Moxley could go either way, and it’d still be great stuff. And then, Nigel jumping in, wanting to get one last match with Bryan is such genius stuff, that is going to be awesome.

Very good promo from Christian Cage to hype himself up, and at this point, I feel like Christian will try to cash-in during or after Bryan VS Nigel, because that will piss people off and Heels are about pissing people off. Great TNT Championship match, great showing from Lio, but of course Jack won. Good promo after the match, everyone loves drawing parallels to Jesus in the Bible when they make themselves out to be the heroes but they’re really the villain, and I can’t wait to see who ends up challenging him next. Very good promo from Hangman, we got lots of other talent involved to add perspective to who Hangman has become, and of course Jarrett comes back around just to get beat down. Hangman already did Lights Out with Swerve, maybe he does some crazy stipulation with Jarrett now?

Great match between Mariah and Aminata, and it is fitting that we revisit Mariah’s first match in AEW being against Aminata. However, Aminata still loses, and Mariah grows stronger as a champion. Mariah wanting Mina to return to AEW TV is good stuff, this gets us started on the story I was hoping for, where now the AEW Women’s World Championship could tear their friendship apart. However, it might not be Mina’s ambitions but Mariah’s paranoia that causes the rift. Mariah did turn on Toni, so she will fear Mina turning on her, so she turns on Mina first, leaving her alone and on the edge of madness, much like Toni Storm was when she left The Outcasts.

Very good promo from Jericho, Bill & Keith, but of course that Bentley was gonna be involved. Jericho’s team of course won but The Iron Savages put up a good fight. Good promo after, and I just loved the look on Bill’s face when Jericho said “friends” just use each other in wrestling. The fans are starting to really love Bill, he could very well break free from Jericho and turn Face as this story goes on. It’s oddly a parallel to how fans want Luchasaurus to turn on Christian Cage… But anyway, where I thought Cassidy was gonna joyride in the Bentley, The Conglomeration dumping $7000 in coins onto the car was a great move. Six Man Tag to be sure, and maybe even a revisit of Mimosa Mayhem if they really wanted to. In fact, Bill choke-slamming Jericho into a vat of mimosa would be awesome.

Good promo from Hook to call out Roddy, maybe they make an FTW Championship for Grand Slam. They don’t even have to do it for Dynamite Grand Slam, Collision that week is supposedly in Arthur Ashe Stadium, too. Either way, Grand Slam Week should be big, with the slightly less big matches (like this FTW Championship match) being for Collision. Great match from Ricochet and Sammy, but I figured Ricochet would win. Mortos going after Ricochet was rather surprising, but it did allow for Sammy to have a Face moment of making the save. As I have been thinking, Sammy’s story between AEW & ROH should really be breaking the habits of formerly being Heel, like I was hoping we’d get with MJF before he turned on Daniel Garcia so quickly.

And great intermingling of stories, tied together by the Tag Team Casino Gauntlet. I almost thought Callis was going to undercut everything by making it Ospreay & Takeshita, but clearly Callis was thinking ahead. Takeshita and Okada have unfinished business, and we got a very good promo out of them to tease that. And then with The Bucks wanting teams to step up, we sure got that in the match. Awesome stuff from all the teams they sent out there, and I definitely appreciated MXM interacting with Acclaimed. They should definitely have those teams meet for Collision or even Grand Slam Week. GYV and FTR canceled each other out, that was also clever stuff.

A little surprised Ospreay & Fletcher really did win, but that does make for a fresh match-up against The Bucks, and this can even lead into Fletcher leaving the Don Callis Family. Callis is happy right now, but he won’t be if his guys lose. Kyle would definitely take the pin in a loss, Callis can be upset with him, but Ospreay will defend Kyle and vice-versa. If they’d get Rush going, he could go after both of them. Word is Will Hobbs has been backstage at shows, mostly for check-ups, so maybe, just maybe, the Powerhouse makes a major return and we get something like Rush & Hobbs VS Ospreay & Fletcher, leading to Ospreay defending the International Championship against member after member of the Don Callis Family.

My Score: 8.9/10

Jon Moxley & The Death Riders speak.

“Despite recent discoveries that Orange Cassidy is a snake, coldblooded, uncaring, unmoving, a serpent lurking in the darkest corners of the battlefield, my objective remains the same, my job on Saturday night remains the same. You may be this borderline sociopath, you may be a great guy just like everybody thinks. I don’t care if you’re a great guy. I don’t care what kind of person you are. When the bell rings on Saturday night, and the AEW World Championship hangs in the balance, you are a threat to my people. And I will destroy you.

“There’s so much more going on behind Orange Cassidy’s eyes than any of us could’ve imagined. You may make it to Full Gear with your mind in tact, but your body… For that matter, Darby Allin’s body… Still up for grabs.” Claudio jumps in, speaking in German about what he’ll do to Darby. Then in English, he says, “Tonight, I’m gonna end you.” Moxley pats Claudio on the shoulder. Will The Maniac’s top henchmen do his dirty work for him when they dismantle Cassidy & Darby? Or will it just be fuel on the fire for Freshly Squeezed & The Relentless One? Speaking of…

Darby Allin speaks.

“Claudio, I’m gonna keep this really short. Let’s not forget you’re the one who put the chair around Bryan’s neck and pulled the trigger on his career. Every single one of you Death Riders will have your day. And Claudio, today’s your day.” Will Moxley’s men be dealt with in brutal fashion before he suffers the same?

The Hurt Syndicate arrive.

Renee Paquette waits in the parking lot as an SUV pulls up, and she welcomes Montel Vontavious Porter, Shelton Benjamin & Bobby Lashley to the show. She heard MVP has a surprise in store, what’s he got planned? MVP says yes, there is a special treat for the AEW audience, and that is this announcement: The All Mighty Bobby Lashley will be in action here tonight on Dynamite in Reading, Pennsylvania, prior to his PPV debut on Saturday! Renee asks if MVP is at all concerned to put Lashley in a match- OH NO, Swerve attacks!! Swerve knocks Lashley over, then laughs as he gets away!

Shelton helps Lashley up but that ambush might’ve been with Swerve’s own silver chain. Will Lashley elect not to compete tonight after all? Or is he about to make an example out of whatever poor soul is put in front of him?

Adam Cole is here!

Reading fires up as the Panama City Playboy makes his way to the ring. They join in with the “BOOM!” and “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!” Cole grabs a mic to ask, “Who’s ready for Storytime with Adam Cole, Baybay?” Reading sure is ready! Cole wishes so so badly that he could get his hands on MJF this Saturday, but he’s not. MJF did everything in his power to make sure he and Cole didn’t fight on Saturday, and he succeeded. But do you know who else succeeded last week? Roderick Strong did! The fans cheer as Cole says he and Roddy have the exact same goal: Give MJF the ass whooping of a lifetime! And that is exactly what happens at Full Gear!

The fans cheer, and wait, Kyle O’Reilly makes his way out here. The longtime friend of Cole & Roddy makes his way out here, and already has a mic. Kyle isn’t sure if Cole remembers, but 14 years ago, right here in Reading, PA, Cole and Kyle had their second match ever against each other. They’ve come a long way. Being associated with Cole has given Kyle some incredible highs, and some serious lows. And through those lows, Kyle knows Cole better than anyone. Which makes Kyle the only one willing to tell Cole the truth. The truth is, this crusade against MJF has got to end before someone gets hurt.

This obsession, Cole needs to wash his hands of it. His ankle has already been reconstructed, what’s next? Cole has friends willing to take a bullet for him, Kyle included, but Cole has got to stop having his friends fight his battles. Roddy barely makes it out alive last week, and now he wants to fight MJF! He wants to END MJF, all because of Cole. Kyle just doesn’t have a good feeling about any of this. Cole asks Kyle what he’s trying to say here. Kyle doesn’t think Roddy can handle MJF? Kyle asks Cole if he really thinks MJF isn’t already three steps ahead. MJF hasn’t been here for weeks but he’s pulling all the strings.

Cole should know that dealing with MJF is like playing with fire, and Kyle doesn’t wanna see his friends get burned. Cole needs to realize why so many of his friends are willing to go to war for him, and it’s because he is a great leader, an elite pro-wrestler, and a great friend, who doesn’t wanna see his friends get hurt. At least, so Kyle thinks. But Cole has to face facts: MJF is more of an evil bastard than Cole will ever be, and that is a good thing. Kyle drops his mic and walks away. Cole drops his mic, and has a lot to think about. Does Kyle have a point? Can Cole just let Roddy handle MJF and then move on?

Orange Cassidy speaks.

“A little later tonight, I’m gonna make an example out of you, Wheeler Yuta. And I’m gonna show everybody exactly what I’m gonna do this Saturday to you, Jon Moxley. And that’s walk down to that ring and beat you, alone.” But The Conglomeration steps in. Mark Briscoe has Rocky Romero & Tomohiro Ishii with him as he asks Cassidy, “What sense does that make, man?” Moxley said himself, there’s five Death Riders, one Cassidy. Conglomeration has his back, they are here for him. Cassidy says no, no one else needs to get hurt. Get hurt? What’s Cassidy talking about? The Conglomeration are ready to scrap!

PLEASE!! Cassidy is asking them… They don’t have to believe him or even understand him. But just promises him they’ll stay back here. If Cassidy insists, then so be it. Cassidy says there you have it, Jon. Five of you, one of him. Do what you’re gonna do. Because at Full Gear, Moxley’s gonna need all the help he can get. Cassidy is himself wanting the best for his friends, but will that work out for the betterment of AEW? Or is he just playing into Moxley’s hands?

Shida gave Kris a powerful match, but clearly Shida has to iron out her own crisis of confidence. Kris still shows Shida respect by helping her up. But wait, here comes Mercedes Mone & Kamille! The fans boo The CEO & Brickhouse but Mone has a mic. “Readiiiiing~! Say hello to your C E O!” The fans boo instead. Mone asks Kamille if she wants to hear a fun fact about Pennsylvania. The 76ers have had yet another terrible season! Embarrassing~! But shoutouts to Mone’s Celtics for another incredible victory. The fans boo Boston but Mone says another person with an incredible win was Kris Statlander. Mone is rarely impressed by her competition.

Does anyone else want to hear another fun fact? “NO!!” Well, Mone has held the TBS Championship longer than Kris! So at Full Gear, Mone will NOT lose, because she is The CEO, the greatest TBS Champion of all time! And she will NEVER lose this title! The ref checks on Darby but Claudio storms right over! The ref tells Claudio to stop so they go to the ring. Claudio lets the ring count start, and yet Darby somehow stirs at 4 of 10! The fans rally as hard as they can and Darby crawls his way over! Darby is still far away at 7! But then he powers up and LEAPS in at 9!! But Claudio LARIATS Darby inside-out!! Cover, Claudio wins!

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli, by pinfall

Darby truly is relentless, with durability like no other, but it just wasn’t enough against the strength and brutality of Claudio! Will no one stop The Death Riders from running roughshod over AEW?

Backstage interview with Private Party.

Renee is with Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy and brings up that at Full Gear, the AEW World Tag Team Championships are on the line in a Fatal 4 Way. Private Party takes on The Acclaimed, The Outrunners and The Kings of the Black Throne. In such a match, the champs do NOT have to be pinned or submitted to lose their titles, so what is their strategy? Brother Zay says they obviously can’t tell her that, the other teams are watching. But it seems like the odds are against them. Fortunately, the odds have been against them their whole lives, their whole careers, just like against The Young Bucks.

But look what happened: Private Party defied the odds, beat The Bucks, and are your AEW World Tag Team Champions. That is the same thing that happens on Saturday. They leave Newark, New Jersey still your tag team champions. Because there ain’t no party like a Private Party, that’s a flex. Oh, speaking of! It’s AJ & Big Justice! They’re fired up to be here, but Justice wants to know what that face Zay made was last week. Oh, right, this one, with the chin scratching. And AJ says they’ve got a BIG announcement coming up after this! Maybe some double chunk chocolate cookies? BOOM!!

A green Porsche Taycan pulls up to the middle of nowhere.

And out steps MJF. The Wolf of Wrestling tells the hobo to “go get it” as he throws spare change off to the side like birdseed. MVP then sits back and tells Roderick Strong, “You’ve been through so much. The kid who grew up trailer park trash with two abusive alcoholic parents. For crying out loud! Your own mother shot your father right in front of you. That’s traumatizing. And as you know, Roddy, trauma is the result of an overwhelming sense of danger, powerlessness and fear. However, healing is a result of feeling safe, empowered and supported. That’s why you’d do anything for Cole. He makes you feel all those positive things that you lacked.

“It’s why I was no different than you. It’s why I trusted him. Unfortunately, the difference between you and I: Cole for me was a mirage of what I wanted him to be. A fraud, a liar. And whilst Cole is a fraud, I do actually believe deep down, in his narcissistic, sociopathic, frail, feeble frame, is a man who cares about Roderick Strong. This is precisely why upon further contemplation, I am happy you won, Roddy. Because I want Adam Cole to watch a person he cares about suffer! And because of your White trash upbringing, you aren’t intelligent enough to realize that you don’t have a prayer. And I’m sending you back to where you belong. To your grimy little trailer park.

“And after the match, you’ll be in so much physical anguish, you’ll wish your mother hadn’t shot your father, but instead shot you.” As if this scumbag couldn’t stoop any lower, he brings up Roddy’s past to hurt him. But will Roddy make sure MJF’s future is the one full of pain and suffering?

Backstage interview with AJ & Big Justice.

Renee is with the Costco Tiktok sensations and says that in the Full Gear Zero Hour, we will see #BigBoomAJ take on QT Marshall in a match 20 YEARS in the making. AJ says it may have been 20 years in the making for QT, this all started for AJ when QT threw the double chunk chocolate cookies down! Renee says AJ has not been in the ring in those 20 years, is he concerned about how his body will hold up? AJ isn’t worried about that, because he just has one strategy, and that’s the strategy they use each and every day. That strategy is to bring the BOOM~! But hey, there’s another special announcement.

Because when AJ rings QT’s bell, and he Power-Booms QT right in the middle of that ring, there is only one guy they want ringing the bell: Big Justice’s best friend, THE RIZZLER! Time to bring the BOOM~! Will QT be sleeping on the mat for The Rizzler? Will he be skibidi? Fanum Tax? Why are those even words?

Tony Schiavone is on stage.

And he welcomes out The Undisputed Kingdom! The fans cheer as Roderick Strong makes his way out, accompanied by Matt Taven & Mike Bennett. Schiavone brings up Roddy VS MJF at Full Gear, and we just heard all that disgusting stuff MJF had to say. Roddy’s response is that to be honest, he has not slept a wink since last week. IT is finally happening! Roddy feels like a kid on Christmas morning. He finally gets his hands on “MAAAAAX~!” The fans echo that, and Roddy says if MJF was here tonight, and not hiding out there, Roddy would ask him: Is Roddy supposed to be ashamed of his childhood?

Is Roddy supposed to be ashamed of his parents? You don’t think Roddy’s heard that stuff before? His whole LIFE, that is what people brought up! His mom’s an addict, his dad’s an addict, mom shot dad. Good job, Max, you made Roddy feel like he was in elementary school again. And people may look at Roddy’s past and feel sorry for him, but Roddy asks us not to. Because looking at MJF, Roddy feels sorry for him. Understand this, Max. With Roddy’s life, he learned that to get the most out of life, you have to earn it. If you wanna break the cycle, you have to earn it. And that is what Roddy’s done ever since he was a kid!

And now looking at MJF, he’s been spoon-fed everything. And when something doesn’t go his way or something happens and he doesn’t like it, MJF throws a temper tantrum like a baby until that changes. So Roddy wants MJF to do something for him: Look in the mirror and think about all the things that MJF has done to people. The manipulating, the backstabbing, the using. MJF needs to realize, when the bell rings at Full Gear, MJF will pay for all those sins. With every chop, with every punch, with every elbow, with every backbreaker! And when it is all over, Roddy walks to his hotel room for the best night of sleep in his life because he earned it.

Especially because Roddy will know he has broken MJF’s back, and left him humbled! Roddy is all fired up, and the fans are with him! Will MJF finally get what’s coming to him? Or will he give Roddy nightmares for the rest of his life?

AEW shares footage taken from last Saturday night.

First, a recap video of Daniel Garcia thwarting Jack Perry’s attempts to abduct and torture Matthew Menard, as well as the joyride they took in the Scapegoat bus, with Perry as the hood ornament. And now, they have Perry strapped into a chair, the bus headlights as the only source of light. Menard is behind the camera as he asks Perry how he’s feeling. How’d that work out for him, huh? Garcia splashes Perry with water to wake him up, and says “Let’s have a conversation. I’m all ears.” Perry chuckles and says Garcia thinks he’s so much better than him. Look at where they are! Garcia shouts back that he doesn’t wanna be here!

Garcia just wants to wrestle, but AEW is full of savages! Perry tried to take Daddy Magic’s life! And those in power just sit back and watch, pretending that nothing’s going on. So what do they do? Gotta take the power back, right? Perry counters with, “Everybody’s got a code. Everybody cares about right and wrong until it costs them something. Until they have to SACRIFICE!” Garcia gets in Perry’s face, grabs him by the mouth, and says Perry’s always going on about sacrifice but Perry has no idea what Garcia’s had to go through! Perry has NO idea what Garcia’s had to sacrifice to be here!

Garcia knows where Perry wants him to go, but Garcia promises that he’s never gonna go there. Perry smirks, then SPITS in Garcia’s face. Garcia wipes that off his face and says bet. Garcia’s got something for Perry, so just wait right there. Garcia goes to the bus while Perry mockingly asks what he’s gonna do. Menard tells shut up, Jack! Life must be so hard for him! What’s Jack got to be sad about?! Garcia comes back and he has a crowbar! Perry dares him to go ahead. Garcia raises the bar, but he SMASHES up the bus! Garcia throws the crowbar away and Perry laughs. Is that it? Garcia tells Menard they’ll get out of here. What? Where’s Garcia going?

Perry says yeah, walk away. Menard tells Perry that Garcia’s gonna whoop his ass! Just wait! Menard leaves, Perry shouts into the night, but will The Face of TNT soon be the one sacrificed for the greater good?

Renee Paquette presides over the ROH World Championship contract signing.

She welcomes us backstage to the signing for this match, which will happen next week, Dynamite: Thanksgiving Eve, in Chicago. The challenger, Tomohiro Ishii, is on her left, and the champion, Chris Jericho, is on her right. Jericho, as champion, you have the honors to sign first. Jericho smiles and waves as he says, “Hi, guys.” But Renee, you should know better. A champion of Jericho’s caliber does not just sign a contract thrust at his face randomly. He has a whole legal team that needs to approve this contract. Renee says it was sent to said legal team last week. Oh, really? What about today? The now! Jericho lives in the now!

Jericho says he’ll get this checked by his legal eagles one more time. But for now, wait here. Choto matte kudesai. Jericho steps around the corner and then down the hall. He smiles at his own picture on the wall. What a good looking guy. But wait, Ishii has followed Jericho to the hall. Jericho is a bit worried as he keeps moving. Jericho tries to block Ishii’s path but a trash can isn’t enough. Jericho tells staffers that Ishii wants to talk to them. They step in the way but Ishii pushes them aside. Jericho moves faster, pushes more people in the way, but Ishii pushes them aside. Was that RJ City?

Jericho goes up some stairs but Ishii follows. Ishii’s even gaining ground! Jericho goes through a doorway and ends up in the concourse! Fans cheer as Jericho and Ishii keep up their cat ‘n’ mouse game. Jericho decides to go into the stands! Ishii follows, and they head down the bleachers towards ringside! Jericho hurries over railing but so does Ishii. They go into the ring, and now Jericho tells Ishii to stop following him! Jericho wants a mic, a mic is brought, and Jericho says hey, listen, Ishii. Jericho would sign this contract, but he doesn’t have a pen. Ishii has a pen! Oh. Ishii clicks it for Jericho, and pushes it into him.

Jericho takes the pen, looks at the contract again, and still hesitates. Jericho signs his part, and then hands things over to Ishii. But then BRYAN KEITH & BIG BILL ATTACK! It was all a massive set-up! Bad Apple & Redwood beat down Stone Pitbull, and then sit him up! Jericho has the pen ready, but here comes The Conglomeration! Mark Briscoe & Rocky Romero rush in, and Mark TACKLES Jericho! Rocky fires off on Bill while Mark CHOKES Jericho! Keith saves Jericho from Mark but Mark fires hands on Keith! The fans fire up, but then Bill SKYSCRAPER- NO, Mark UPPERCUTS Bill first! Rocky adds on!

The fans fire up as The Conglomeration pinballs Bill, and then Ishii CLOBBERS him! Bill tumbles out, but Rocky DIVES! Bill is sent into railing! Keith stands up, into a kick and underhooks! JAY DRILLER! Jericho stands up, Ishii has him, and hits a BRAINBUSTER!! Conglomeration stands tall over The Learning Tree and his Branches, and now Ishii signs his part! The match is now official, and Ishii is looking to take a bite out of Jericho! Will The Conglomeration have the ROH World Championship to be thankful for this year?

Backstage interview with Jamie Hayter.

Renee is with the former AEW Women’s World Champion and notes that last time, we were going to hear from her, only for her to be interrupted by Julia Hart. What is Hayter’s reaction to that? Well, yeah, she isn’t angry, but she is baffled why Julia chose to interrupt Hayter. They’ve never really spoken or interacted, or even wrestled each other. Hayter is just curious as to why Julia felt it was okay to do that. Granted, Julia can do whatever she wants, Hayter moves to the beat of her own drum just as much as Julia. But… if Julia wants to have a chat-

Uh oh, something is happening to the video! Brody King’s message echoes, “It’s time to come home.” Julia Hart walks through the woods. Brody says The House is her foundation. She has seen her rebirth. Now it is time to rebuild. She has woken up stronger, more determined, and more dangerous than ever. Julia aims her arrow to shoot down a target: her past self. Her obstacles are just bull’s eyes. She is the Princess of the Black Throne, and the Keeper of Secrets. She is Julia Hart, and her heart grows harder. She hits her mark, but will she find Hayter Hits Hard?

Orange Cassidy VS Wheeler Yuta!

Freshly Squeezed has been accused of being coldblooded and uncaring, but he got pretty heated as he told The Conglomeration to keep themselves safe tonight. He goes 1v1 with The Decoder, a young man who was once Cassidy’s student, and who left him behind to join the then Blackpool Combat Club. If anyone is uncaring, it is Yuta with how he would then follow Jon Moxley’s lead in the destruction of Bryan Danielson and Chuck Taylor. Who will be the more ferocious fighter tonight, this close to Full Gear?

The bell rings and Yuta SHOTGUNS Cassidy! Yuta follows Cassidy to a corner to CHOP, then ROCK, then CHOP again! Yuta whips corner to corner but Cassidy goes up and out. Cassidy bumps Yuta off buckles, climbs up top, but has to leap over. Yuta comes back but Cassidy catches him to a backslide! TWO, but Cassidy reels Yuta in for a cradle! TWO! Yuta pulls on an ear! But Cassidy arm-drags and wrangles Yuta into the SEATBELT! TWO!! Yuta escapes and the fans fire up as these two stand off. Yuta huffs ‘n’ puffs, but Cassidy shows he wants a grapple. They feel things out, knuckle lock, but Cassidy blocks a kick!

Cassidy reels Yuta in for a headlock, but Yuta powers up and out. Cassidy ducks ‘n’ rolls, tilt-o-whirls, but Yuta suplexes! Into STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! Yuta tumbles out and fans fire up! Cassidy builds speed to DIVE! Down goes Yuta and the fans fire up again! Cassidy brings Yuta up, whips, but Yuta reverses to reel Cassidy in! Cassidy fights the suplex, but then Yuta fights a suplex. Yuta suplexes, to RAILING BRAINBUSTER!! Cassidy writhes and fans are stunned! Yuta stomps Cassidy, then leaves him behind for the ring count. Cassidy crawls into the ring, Yuta exposes a crossbar, and then he GRINDS Cassidy’s face into the steel!

The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Yuta steps off at 4. Cassidy seethes as he rises up, but Yuta has him at the corner. Cassidy kicks Yuta’s legs out and Yuta falls onto a turnbuckle! Yuta falls back, Cassidy climbs, but Yuta grabs Cassidy first! Yuta drags Cassidy down but Cassidy fires hands. Yuta squeezes the facelock tight, then hits an APRON DDT! The fans boo Yuta while Cassidy writhes, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Cassidy clutches his neck while Yuta waits in the ring. A ring count starts and Yuta eggs Cassidy on. Cassidy reaches up as the count reaches 5 of 10, but he doesn’t sit up until 6. Cassidy hobbles up, stumbles and falls, but springs back to life! He slides in at 9! Only for Yuta to be right on him! Yuta reels Cassidy in, but Cassidy turns that into BEACH BREAK! Cover, TWO!! Yuta survives but Cassidy is too sore to be frustrated. They both sit up, and Yuta crawls his way over to a corner. Cassidy rises, checks his neck, then runs up, but into an ELBOW! Yuta goes up, but Cassidy JUMP FOREARMS! Cassidy positions Yuta just right before he climbs the corner.

Yuta resists but Cassidy still brings Yuta up. Yuta continues to fight the suplex, throws body shots, then shoves Cassidy down. Cassidy rolls back to his feet, runs back up the corner, but Yuta again fights the suplex! Cassidy fires hands, but Yuta fires back! They brawl up top, Cassidy HEADBUTTS Yuta! But Yuta HEADBUTTS back! They both wobble, but then Cassidy BITES Yuta! The ref reprimands, but Cassidy CLAWS Yuta’s back! This is very Moxley of him to do! And then Cassidy hits the SUPERPLEX! Both men are down and the ref checks. They’re both okay to continue, so a standing count begins!

Cassidy sits up, spots Yuta, and heads that way. Yuta sits up, they fire forearms as they stand! Dynamite returns to single picture as these shots go back and forth. The fans fire up for Cassidy but boo Yuta as the shots go faster and faster! Yuta BITES Cassidy’s forehead! Yuta spits then runs, but Cassidy dodges! BODY BLOW! SUPERKICK! Yuta sits down, Cassidy runs, PENALTY KICK! Cassidy slashes his throat, hauls Yuta up, BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Yuta survives but Cassidy seethes. Cassidy rains down fists on Yuta! The ref reprimands about closed fists and hair pulling, but Cassidy doesn’t stop until the ref counts 4.

Cassidy stands, and he throws off the elbow pad! Cassidy aims at Yuta, runs up, but Yuta ducks the punch! GERMAN SUPLEX! Yuta runs to CHOP in the corner! And then a wrench and PAIN THRILLER! The fans boo while Yuta seethes and stands over Cassidy. Yuta sits Cassidy up, for HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! But Cassidy blocks one! And bends fingers, to then SNAP them! The fans fire up as Cassidy SNAPS finger after finger! Yuta swings, Cassidy BOOTS him, then serves up SOLE FOOD! Scoop and MICHINOKU DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy is busting out all his best friends’ best moves, but he hasn’t gotten it done!

Cassidy aims, loads up, and ORANGE- NO, Yuta ducks! Orange fights the suplex, switches to O’Conner Roll! TWO, Yuta dodges Cassidy, scoops him, and CROSS LEG TOMBSTONE!! Cover, TWO?!? Cassidy survives and Yuta is furious! The fans are thunderous, but Yuta rains down HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS! Cassidy grits his teeth but he’s almost a ragdoll! Yuta lets off to then hook the arms, CATTLE MUTILATION!! Cassidy endures as Yuta thrashes him around! Cassidy powers up as the fans rally, and he kicks around to the ROPEBREAK!! Yuta holds on, the ref counts, and Yuta finally lets go at 4!

The ref reprimands Yuta, but Yuta pushes past the ref to go outside the ring. Yuta grabs a chair! Yuta storms into the ring while the fans boo, and the ref says don’t do it! Cassidy dodges the chair shot! Victory roll, CASSIDY WINS!!

Winner: Orange Cassidy, by pinfall

Yuta is in disbelief! Cassidy beat him with a technical move! Yuta snarls but the ref keeps him back. Cassidy did what he promised in beating Yuta, but then he stares his former student down. Is Cassidy going to offer a handshake? WAIT, PAC ATTACKS! The Bastard BOOTS Cassidy down so we’ll never know what Cassidy was going to do! The fans boo more but Pac & Yuta stand on Cassidy. The rest of the Death Riders appear, and Marina Shafir has duct tape! The AEW World Trios Champions stomp away on Cassidy, like vultures picking the bones. Moxley steps into the ring while Marina hands the tape over to Pac.

Claudio puts Cassidy’s hands in his pockets, and then Pac tapes them in! Cassidy is physically bound, and Moxley paces around. Cassidy is pushed around by all the Death Riders, then Moxley DECKS him! Claudio hauls Cassidy back up, the Death Riders keep bullying him, and then Moxley SLAPS Cassidy down! But the bullying continues as they stand Cassidy up. Cassidy “kicks” Moxley! Defiant to the end! But Moxley DECKS him again! Moxley paces around more, then stomps Cassidy right on the face! Moxley leads The Death Riders away, and The Conglomeration finally comes out here.

Mark has scissors to cut Cassidy loose, and the fans boo as The Death Riders still retreat. Cassidy tries to stand up, but he has to use ropes to do it. Even so, Cassidy stands on his own two feet. Moxley eggs on the fans while Cassidy puts his sunglasses on. And then hands up, and then into the pockets! Try as they might, The Death Riders could not break the Freshly Squeezed fighting spirit! Will Cassidy finally become AEW World Champion? Or will Moxley find a way to break Cassidy at Full Gear?

My Thoughts:

A great go-home Dynamite here, though it felt like it contracted Go Home Syndrome. A lot of recap and other promos, but good promos all the same. Good follow-up from last week with Hayter and Hart, that will probably really get going after Full Gear. Good promo from Mariah & Mina to hype up their celebration segment for Full Gear, and with Toni Storm’s announcement of her retirement, you can bet Toni is anything but retired! Toni Storm most assuredly will return very soon, maybe even to ruin the celebration and spark another feud. I still want us to get to Mariah VS Mina but maybe Storm moves things back so that Mariah VS Mina happens in 2025.

Good promo from Private Party to also have AJ & Big Justice show up. The promos didn’t really add much to any of the matches, though. I’m very sure AJ does hit the BOOM on QT to win, and then Private Party finds a way to survive the Fatal 4. Great stuff with Perry, Garcia and Menard, that was another very action movie kind of promo, maybe even like that grittier Batman movie. But with Garcia not sinking to the same lows as Perry, that will be why Garcia loses. Honestly, why not just have Perry blatantly get himself disqualified? What great heat for Perry while keeping Garcia strong in not becoming TNT Champion.

Great promos in this MJF story. I appreciate Cole throwing his support behind Roddy was good, as well as Kyle O’Reilly wanting Cole to just leave it at this. MJF of course insults Roddy over his past while also trashing Cole at the same time, but great response from Roddy. Also I’m not a car guy so it took me a little too long to Google out what car MJF was driving. Anyway, given all these promos, I am very confident MJF wins at Full Gear and then Cole still wants after MJF, only for Kyle to have to fight Cole to make him stop. Then we’ll maybe get Cole VS MJF at Worlds End, or even some time in 2025.

Very good stuff with The Hurt Syndicate, even with them getting jumped by Swerve. Poor Cheeseburger, that’s one fan favorite that got fed to Bobby Lashley. But Swerve getting the better of the Hurt Syndicate again and again tonight, all the more reason Lashley wins at Full Gear. Very good promo vignette from White and Hangman to hype up their grudge match, which still feels it could go either way since they’re tied on the year. And Jericho and Ishii had perhaps simultaneously the most clever and most ridiculous contract signing segment ever. And of course Jericho worked out some sort of trap, only for it to go badly for him and his team. But with that, that means Ishii is losing next week, as I figured he would.

Awesome opening match with the 8 Man, and I liked that they had Hobbs do the “fighting through the pain” angle in the match. Also, great bit with Kyle Fletcher sending Davis into harm’s way so that the Callis Family can get the better of Ospreay’s team. I thought the Faces were going to win here, but the math now says Ospreay finds a way to beat Kyle, and maybe Ricochet takes the International Championship from Konosuke Takeshita. The Continental Classic is coming, and they could easily use that round robin to get Konosuke back to a feud with Kazuchika Okada and they battle for the Continental Championship at Worlds End like we should’ve gotten at WrestleDream.

Awesome match from Kris VS Shida, and I appreciate the crisis of confidence for Shida. Kris gets a great win to go into Full Gear, and then Kris and Shida get the better of Mone & Kamille, so all the more reason Mone finds a way to survive. As for Kamille, I feel like she should ditch Mone for being treated like crap by Mone, and maybe we can get a feud of Mone VS Kamille going into 2025. And of course, plenty of promos from Death Riders and “Team AEW” members. Moxley just kinda went on and on about stuff he’s already said in reference to Cassidy, but I did like Claudio going bilingual in talking trash on Darby.

Awesome matches from those stories, of course. Darby really got thrown around but he continues to show that toughness. Claudio getting the win mostly keeps Darby back so that Darby can build towards a world title match at Worlds End. Cassidy VS Yuta was great stuff, too, with great back and forth of Cassidy wanting to end it quick, having to grit it out with Yuta, and then Cassidy still finding a way to end it with a quick pin. And they did a good job muddying the math. Cassidy wins the match, but the Death Riders beat him down, only for Cassidy to literally stand tall at the end of the show. I still don’t see him taking the world title from Moxley, though, with Darby still in the wings, but this could end up Cassidy’s best match yet.

My Score: 8.9/10

Red Death overcomes 3v1 odds, but now he realizes something happened to Menard! Garcia asks what happens, Schiavone and Nigel explain it was Perry. Perry stalks Menard while commentary says AEW is coming unglued! Things have moved to the parking lot, and Perry SMACKS Menard off the Scapegoat bus! “You think he’s ready? You think he’s ready!? Perry shoves Menard aside, then goes into the bus. Perry brings out a tow chain, with a hook on it! Perry CLUBS Menard, then hooks him up to the back of the bus! Between the chain and the bus exhaust, Menard is coughing and sputtering. Perry tells Menard, “We all have to sacrifice.” Perry then goes into the bus, but Garcia runs up! Garcia fires off on Perry, throws him into the side of the bus, “You thought this was a game?!” Garcia stomps Perry, and he frees Menard from the chain. Garcia stands Perry up abut Menard has an idea. Menard takes the camera, but Collision goes to break. What hell will Garcia put Perry through a week before Full Gear?

Lio Rush speaks.

“I am sick and tired of feeling the way that I’ve been feeling lately. Lost and confused on where I stand with the people that surrounded me. It’s really hard to know exactly who you are when you lose the matches that mean the most. But then I take a deep breath, I look at my watch, and I remember that I’m the Man of the Hour. I came to AEW to collect titles. I’m a 30-year-old piece of gold, and I pray that the people I call friends get on the same page. Because it’s only a matter of time before Lio Rush is rushing to the top.”

Garcia has Perry tied to the hood of the bus!

Garcia shouts at Perry that he was waiting for a reason! Garcia and Menard get in the bus, and they take Perry for a ride! They go through guard rails, up a ramp, and perhaps even into town! Will the Scapegoat end up a bug on a windshield?

Backstage interview with Kris Statlander.

Renee Paquette is with the #BornAgainKristen and says that we’re just one week away from Kris VS Mercedes Mone for the TBS Championship at Full Gear. Things have already gotten out of control, from Mone & Kamille trying to run Kris over with a car, and then Kris tackles them through a wall. Once the bell rings, what can we expect? Kris says, “Anything and everything.” Mone is one of the best, will do anything she can to win, and is most dangerous when she’s cornered, where she is right now. Everything she’s tried hasn’t worked because Kris is still standing. Kris will be the one standing tall as the NEW TBS Champion.

In steps Hikaru Shida with enthusiastic applause. The Shining Samurai tells Kris that she just wants to wish her luck. It’s about time someone beats Mone’s boney ass! And when Kris becomes the new champion, Shida will gladly be her first challenger. Kris says alright, sure. But here’s another idea: Kris is always open for a challenge any time, especially against #HolyShida, the only THREE-TIME AEW Women’s World Champion. So how about this? Wednesday Night Dynamite, Shida VS Kris. Shida’s all for it! They shake hands, but will fighting Shida be a little too much before going to Full Gear? Or will it prove Kris is still The Galaxy’s Greatest?

Backstage interview with The Acclaimed.

Lexy Nair is with Max Caster & Anthony Bowens ahead of their huge Full Gear Tag Team Contenders Series match with La Faccion Ingobernable. But where is Billy Gunn? Caster asks that more importantly, where are their heads going into the match? Because Caster just has to say, as the Best Wrestler Alive, he’s feeling real confident. Bowens says for Lexy’s actual question, Billy will be here. What Caster was trying to say is that The Acclaimed do feel great, because they are one match away from joining that Fatal 4, where they will become TWO-TIME AEW World Tag Team Champions in the Scissor King’s home state of New Jersey!

And when they win, The Acclaimed will celebrate with one big scissoring, because EVERYONE LOVES THE ACCLAIMED! Ain’t that right, Lexy? Oh, wait, MVP steps in, Shelton Benjamin by his side. The Hurt Syndicate just wants to wish The Acclaimed luck. The Syndicate handled their business, so Caster & Bownes should handle theirs. Oh, and Max, use your size and strength. This is a big opportunity, don’t blow it. The Syndicate heads out, but will The Acclaimed win to impress MVP? Or to get back where they belong?

“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs VS Bulk Bronson w/ The Iron Savages!

The return of the Powerhouse is truly big for AEW, but all the Iron Savages are big. And Jacked Jameson wants everyone to hold on. The fat morons and skinny idiots of Albany can shut up. Lexy is now with Roderick Strong, Matt Taven & Mike Bennett. She congratulates Roddy for getting his third win via Lance Archer. Roddy now faces MJF at Full Gear, so how is he feeling? How’s he feeling? First, thanks for all that, Lexy, he appreciates it. Second, “MAAAX! You have seven days. Seven days from right now until you’re standing across the ring from me, Max. And look, I got a lot to say, and on Wednesday, you’re gonna hear it all, but I just wanna leave you with this: Max, you walk around here thinking you’re smarter than everybody, you’re better than everybody. I don’t think you realize what you’ve gotten yourself into.

“I am the Messiah of the Backbreaker. I am a damn wrestling legend! And when Full Gear ends, you’re gonna realize that I’m better than you, and you know it!” Roddy is ready to throw it all back in MJF’s face, but will the Wolf of Wrestling have a contingency plan?

Full Gear Tag Team Contenders Series: Rush & The Beast Mortos w/ Jake “The Snake” Roberts VS The Acclaimed w/ Billy Gunn!

Platinum Max of course has a diss track. “These dudes gotta be embarrassed. You ’bout to lose bigger than Kamala Harris! LFI in a title match is outta place. It’s like Mexicans being managed by Jake the Snake! I would’ve called the committee, but you’re lucky Albany’s a sanctuary city!” Bowens takes over to say, “ALBANAAAAAY~! The Acclaimed have arrived! Scissor me, Daddy Ass~!” And he does~! But Caster doesn’t? The teams sort out, and while Caster wants to, Bowens convinces him to let Bowens start. But then Rush SLINGS Caster to the floor! Billy is upset but the ref wants him to stay back. Billy tries to point out the shenanigans, but Collision goes picture in picture.

The ref is busy with Billy and that lets Rush LASH Caster with the cable! Rush SMACKS Caster off the desk, Caster scrambles into the ring, but Rush anchors his leg. Rush drags Caster up, CHOPS him then ROCKS him, then bumps him off buckles. Tag to Mortos and Mortos SMACKS Caster! Cover, TWO! Caster toughs it out but Mortos NECK GTWISTS! Cover, TWO! PROGRAMMING NOTE for next week!

With Full Gear being next Saturday, November 23rd, Collision takes a week off! We’ll see everyone back here in two weeks on November 30th!

Backstage interview with Mina Shirakawa.

Lexy is with the Fighting Gravure Idol and congratulates her on her win in her return. Mina says yes, she is so back to have come back here, and she is so excited for Mariah’s match. Lexy says Mina already has multiple championships, is AEW gold on her mind at all? Mina says she’s just excited for Mariah’s match. But that’s not a no… Time to dance! Mina shimmies her way on out, but will she end up wanting something more than just fun with her friend?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

Lexy is now with Mark Briscoe, Rocky Romero & Tomohiro Ishii, and she notes that in a couple weeks, Dynamite: Thanksgiving Eve, it will be Tomohiro Ishii VS Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship. How is Ishii feeling? The Stone Pitbull is stone-faced, so Mark Briscoe “translates” what #BigTom is exuding with his aura. This is what he’s trying to say: Jericho, your days are numbered! You better shine that title up real nice, sleep with it real close, because soon, it’s getting up outta there! “Learning Tree my ass, you about to learn a lesson about humility! You about to learn a lesson about gettin’ your ass whooped!”

Mark asks if they understand what he’s saying, and Rocky says yeah, he’s picking up what Mark’s putting down. Rocky’s digging the energy, and he feels the intensity. But he has to know one thing: What is the word of the day? That’s a hell of a question, Rocky, because today, it is a menagerie of words! Take a basket, reach in, pull out the word of the day, and well, it’s tenacious! Tenacity! Ferocious! Velocity! Ferocity! He’s tellin’ ya, long story short, that title is coming back to the Conglomeration, courtesy of Tomohiro Ishii! Jericho, you gettin’ your ass whooped, son! RARARARA!

Mark may be fire on the outside, but Ishii is fire on the inside. Will The Learning Tree be burned down either way?

Backstage interview with FTR.

Lexy notes that this past Wednesday, Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood came up short in their own Full Gear Contenders Series match. Where are their heads out right now? Cash says he wishes he had an answer, because he doesn’t really know. FTR doesn’t know where they go from here. They wish it was just one bad night, but the truth of the matter is, FTR lost those titles a little over a year ago and have had chances to get them back where they just haven’t. Maybe it’s FTR. Maybe their time has passed them. Maybe they need to reevaluate. Dax agrees. But on Dynamite, the better team won on that night.

While FTR could cry about it, or they could rebuild. Therefore, they will rebuild. This may not be FTR’s time, but it is someone’s time. It is The Outrunners’ time! And maybe after Full Gear, we get an FTRunners dream match for those titles. Boys, they’re pulling for you. Speaking of, we’re about to hear from The Outrunners right now!

The Outrunners speak.

Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd have another retro style video in old standard definition, saying they’ve got the looks and the attitude, so you know they’ve got “the stuff!” It’s a highlight reel of their match with Top Flight, even using retro graphics in the editing. You gotta have the meat! And right now, they’re sizzling! But will Truth & Turbo be prime A1 material at Full Gear? Or will they end up well done?

AEW Women’s World Championship No Disqualifications Match: Mariah May VS Anna Jay!

And as if No Disqualifications isn’t raising the stakes enough, Anna promises that if she loses, this is the last time she challenges Mariah for the title! Will this last chance be just the chance Anna needs to become The Star of the Show? Or will AEW still be All About Mariah?

The ladder doesn’t break but Mariah’s face might have! Cover, TWO!! The Vendetta is still watching, and while Taya is very animated, Deonna is very stoic. Anna goes out to look under the ring. Albany gets what they want because here comes a TABLE! Anna brings this up to a TLC as she pushes the table into the ring.

Anna hurries in to set the table up while Mariah crawls and cries in pain. Anna has the table set just right, but she stomps Mariah first. Anna bumps Mariah off the buckles, then hoists her up top. Anna ROCKS Mariah, climbs up after her, and the fans fire up as she aims for the table. Mariah fires body shots first! Mariah bumps Anna off buckles, then SUPSER SUNSET FLIP POWERBOMBS through the table!! Cover, TWO?!?! Anna survives and Mariah cannot believe it! But this is what winning the title with no safety net means for Anna! Mariah goes out, looks under the ring, and she brings out spare railing!?

Jon Moxley speaks.

The Maniac is with Marina Shafir in the parking lot as he says, “I’ve underestimated Orange Cassidy. I’ve pushed him in the ring before, but this sport’s about so much more than what goes on between the ropes. I thought when I broke Chuck Taylor’s neck, one of two things would happen: Either he would turn into a shaky puddle of tears, and I’d walk right over him; or he’d be backed into a corner and he’s snap back, bringing the animal out of Orange Cassidy. Neither of those two things happened, and now I see it for the first time. I don’t think he even went to the hospital with Chuck Taylor.

“He acts like he’s so sad, and that young Wheeler’s traveled down a path he doesn’t approve of, but he doesn’t care. He’s full of it. Now I see it for the first time. I can’t believe I didn’t see it before. Orange Cassidy is a snake. Cold-blooded, reptilian, unnerved. The test will be this Wednesday, when you face your beloved former student who you claim to care about. Will you strike with venomous intent? Or will you keep it clean? Cold-blooded opponent, that is a different challenge entirely, this is gonna be harder than I thought. But man, I wish I was cold-blooded. But I’m not. No. I feel everything.

“Not just the weight of the AEW World Championship, but I feel the weight of the last five years. I feel the weight of the dreams and aspirations of every single wrestler who walks through these doors. I feel the weight of everybody’s mistakes and broken promises. I feel the weight of every single AEW fan who buys a ticket and pays for parking, and takes off work, and gives us their hard-earned money, and time, and energy, because AEW is something they believe in! What AEW could be! You don’t like the way I do things? November 23rd, you’re gonna have a chance.

“Lop my head off. Let it hit the dirt and roll at your feet. Reach down and pick up that crown, put it on your head. See if you like how it feels. At Full Gear, I smear Orange Cassidy’s blood on our flag, and I plant it in the ground so hard, it will never get moved. You wanna ride with me? You wanna ride in MY AEW? We ride into battle every single day to grab pro-wrestling by the balls, and you better be ready to die on your shield every single day! And if you’re not, get out. Or you will get taken out.” The Maniac has issued his ultimatum, will Freshly Squeezed heed it?

AEW Collision wraps with the November to Remember music video.

Set to November Rain by Guns ‘n’ Roses, we look back even as far as the last time Jon Moxley and Orange Cassidy feuded, which included their battle over the AEW International Championship at Full Gear 2023. There are also highlights to hype up the TNT Championship match of Jack Perry VS Daniel Garcia, and the long-awaited grudge match between Jay White and Hangman Page. Who will truly make this a November to Remember when they stand tall in the November rain?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision, and I forgot that this counts as the go-home Collision with Full Gear next week. The music video recap package to end the show is really well done, and makes a good ending moment, but then it makes other promos a little redundant. Honestly, why not wait to use this as the cold open to Full Gear next Saturday? This would be an awesome PPV opening video. And good closing promo from Moxley, with good spin on Cassidy’s aloof nature. Maybe Cassidy’s cold, or maybe he’s in control of his emotions. I suppose Cassidy VS Yuta on Dynamite will give some of that away.

Great stuff with the TNT Championship story. Garcia VS Johnny was a really good match, even with MXM getting involved. Perry abducting Menard in an attempt to tow him behind the bus was wild, but I like how Garcia turned the tables on Perry. I kinda wish we got a little more of their “joyride” through Albany and New York, but maybe we get more of that on Dynamite. Either way, it feels like Garcia already has the “standing tall” part of the go-home math, meaning he loses at Full Gear. Maybe Perry will cheat his way out of the match so that Garcia can still be strong in defeat.

Really good match from Shelton and Komander but of course Shelton won. Good promo from Hurt Syndicate with The Acclaimed to keep up the recruit tease, and very good match from Acclaimed VS LFI. Good win for The Acclaimed, and you can bet that the Fatal 4 Way will be the straw that breaks the camel’s back. Caster was even distancing himself in his own way here, with not wanting to scissor finger before the match and other little details. Caster can turn on Bowens and join the Hurt Syndicate to start on a singles championship story with them. Lio Rush likely will, too, given his promo.

Very good promo from Conglomeration to hype up Thanksgiving Eve and the ROH World Championship match of Ishii VS Jericho. Still doesn’t feel like Jericho’s losing, though, as he really only just got the title and there’s still this idea of Jericho being responsible for ROH getting a TV deal. Y’know, the same way he’s kayfabe responsible for Collision happening so that he could be on another show separate from… Whoever he was feuding with back then. Very good promo from Roddy to call out MJF, though he literally says he’ll talk more on Dynamite so what was the point of tonight? Just filling time?

Great match for Hobbs to get back on a winning track in singles action, and the “All Star 8 Man” on Wednesday will be great stuff. I feel like Brian Cage or Lance Archer takes the loss in that match, giving momentum to Ricochet and Ospreay going into each of the Full Gear grudge matches. With that, Ricochet maybe pulls off the International Championship win, but Ospreay probably does not win because of Don Callis Family cheating. As for Hobbs himself, The Continental Classic is coming, maybe he gets in on that and really dominates. Hobbs and Okada would be a lot of fun to see, I kinda hope we get that.

Great opener from Mina VS Harley as Harley continues to build her in-ring skill and impress. I like Mina kinda dodging the question about titles here in AEW, because she doesn’t wanna give away that she wants THE AEW Women’s World Championship. Mariah VS Anna was a great main event, they really busted out some good stuff. Mariah using the hair spray was a very clever way to turn things around and help her win. Mariah and Mina having their celebration on Full Gear, I feel like that’s the moment things go sideways in this friendship.

My Score: 8.8/10
