PLAY BY PLAY

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He welcomes us live to Collision in Philadelphia, but he is not alone! Daniel Garcia, The Conglomeration, The Outrunners, FTR, and pretty much ever team in AEW are all here, because we are welcoming in the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions, Private Party! Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy already have drink service going as they strut past La Faccion Ingobernable, The Premier Athletes, MXM Collection, Grizzled Young Veterans and Shane Taylor Promotions (which now includes The Infantry for those who missed last Thursday’s ROH). Quen & Zay go to the ring to join their VIPS in the ring.

Schiavone welcomes them to the ring, and says Private Party turned out one of the most tremendous performances he has seen. The fans chant, “You Deserve It!” and even the other AEW stars clap along. Schiavone says after a seven MONTH reign, The Young Bucks lose so that Quen & Zay become the champs. Quen & Zay say they can’t hear Schiavone, the fans are saying something. “You Deserve It!” Okay, okay, real talk, they love y’all. At the beginning of this year, Private Party came in and said, “New Year, New Champs.” Well, it took them a long, long time, but Philly, we did it! The fans cheer that!

Zay says he even swore on his mom that they were gonna win, and Philly, when a man swears on his mama, you better believe it. Now, Matthew, Nicholas, Young Bucks, Private Party wants to thank you for making them earn this. Because every time they get in the ring with The Bucks, Private Party has gotten better, and better, and better, and they have the titles to prove it! And with that said, you probably wanna know what’s next, right? Well, Philly, here’s what is next. Not shots, no, that’s later. Zay promises. But speaking of shots… They are willing to defend these titles up against anybody and everybody. And they mean everybody!

Quen & Zay stare down FTR as the #TopGuys, and they start shoving! Garcia steps in for Private Party and the Outrunners step in for FTR. Truth Magnum wants everyone to take it easy, take it easy. If they’re anything like Truth, and Truth knows he is, then you came here for one reason and one reason only: To celebrate the five year journey of Private Party! The fans all cheer that! Tell ’em, Turbo! Turbo says what’s in the past is in the past, Bucks are gone, the Party is here. That was their time then. Now it’s Private Party’s time! And the sign outside doesn’t say “FTR” or “Private Party,” or even “Outrunners.” It says A E W! Where the best teams wrestle!

The fans fire up for that! The teams all hug it out because yes, this is about good times, not grudges. And so with that said, the party is never gonna end! Because everyone knows there ain’t no party like a Private Party, and that’s a flex. The fans cheer, but the teams on the stage don’t really care. Will one of those teams come looking to ruin the party?

Mariah May arrives backstage.

“Blow it out your arse.” Well that’s not very nice of The Glamour.

Anna Jay arrives backstage.

“Mariah, you said you couldn’t be beaten? Well I can, I have, and I will. Philly, get ready for your new AEW Women’s World Champion.” The Queenslayer is ready to take the throne, but will she still not be THE Star of the Show?

Backstage interview with The Acclaimed.

Renee Paquette is with Max Caster & Anthony Bowens and says they gotta talk the AEW Tag Team Division. A lot has changed, such as the NEW AEW Tag Team Champions being Private Party. The Acclaimed are the winningest team in AEW, what is their take? Bowens says he doesn’t say this often, but from the Scissor King to Private Party, he congratulates them. They’re even proud of Private Party as fellow homegrown AEW stars. BUT! Do not let that fool you. The Acclaimed is the best tag team to ever do it in this company! And they are coming back for those titles.

Caster says THAT’S RIGHT! Two time champs and they’ve been doing this all year. Now, just because it is Private Party and not the Young Bucks, hey, there’s a lot in common here. But what’s not in common is that Quen & Zay do not have the Best Wrestler Alive on their team! And everyone knows that when Acclaimed and Private Party lock up, there is only one outcome possible. And why is that? It’s because EVERYONE loves The Acclaimed! Uh, Caster kinda took Bowens’ line from him, even after cuing him up… Caster wants to get serious. Private Party are still come-up, the fans haven’t really taken to them.

But the fans, they love The Acclaimed. If the fans loved Private Party like they love The Acclaimed, then Quen & Zay would have friendship bracelets comin’ out the wazoo like Caster. And Caster also gets money! Hard earned cash! Wait, does he still have the Hurt Syndicate card? Oh, that’s to Caster’s final point. Private Party does not have the attention of MVP, him begging them to join like he is The Acclaimed. Oh, and as for the answer to that, Caster says, “I dunno. I dunno.” But what Caster does know is that Private Party, when those belts are on the line, it’s time to- Now Bowens interrupts to say “NUT UP, OR SHUT UP!”

Why? Because EVERYONE loves The Acclaimed! There’s some passive aggressive dysfunction going on here. Do Caster & Bowens need to worry about each other before they worry about gold?

Day of the Dead Match: Thunder Rosa VS Harley Cameron!

La Mera Mera did not appreciate this Outcast mocking the face paint that represents this solemn tradition. Will Rosa celebrate those who have passed on by adding Harley to the list? Or will this insane Aussie actually get one over the former AEW Women’s World Champion?

The bell rings and Harley is not intimidated by the display around the ring. Harley shoves Rosa, Rosa SHOVES back! The fans fire up, but Harley knees low. And kicks! And ENZIGIRIS! Harley says SHE is La Mera Mera now! But then Rosa storms up behind her, and says no she’s not~! Rosa THROWS Harley, then Harley comes back. Rosa dodges, arm-drags Harley, and mule kicks! Then ENZIGIRI! The fans fire up with Rosa and she watches Harley go to the apron. Rosa runs, and she WRECKS Harley with a dropkick! The fans fire up more as Rosa brings Harley around. Rosa SMACKS Harley off the apron, then CHOPS!

Rosa brings out a trash can lid, but also a board. Tribute to R. Smooth and a SMACK to Harley! Then SMACK with the trash can lid! Harley writhes, but Rosa SMACKS her again! Rosa drags Harley up to CHOP and knuckle lock. Rosa goes onto the railing, but she does need some help. Fans help her balance, and she tightrope walks, only for Harley to YANK her down! Rosa lands on railing, then Harley throws her down from the railing! Harley CHOKES Rosa, insists she is the new La Mera Mera, and then brings her up to whip into steel steps! Harley brings the board with the lovely panting on it, then goes back for Rosa.

Harley whips, Rosa reverse, and Harley goes through the board! Rosa says SHE is La Mera Mera! The fans fire up and Collision goes picture in picture.

Rosa dumps another painted board onto Harley, then stomps it apart on her! Harley is stuck in wood wreckage while Rosa grabs a trash can. Rosa puts the can in the ring, slides in a few other things, then adds chair after chair. Rosa brings out a TABLE! The fans like that as Rosa puts that in the ring. Rosa goes back for Harley, SAMCKS her off the apron, and Harley falls and flounders. Rosa brings out a chair, and she SMACKS Harley! Harley writhes, and Rosa DIGS the chair into her! Rosa drags Harley up again, SMACKS her off the apron, then POSTS her! Rosa storms up but Harley JAWBREAKERS back! Then RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS to the floor!

Harley covers, but this isn’t Falls Count Anywhere. Harley puts Rosa in the ring, drags her around, and clamps on with a SEATED COBRA TWIST! Rosa endures, fights up, and fires body shots. But Harley grinds Rosa into a modified abdominal stretch! Rosa endures, fights with fists, and Collision returns to single picture right as Rosa hip tosses Harley! Rosa CHOPS Harley, runs, but Harley LARIATS! Harley runs, but Rosa follows to LARIAT! Rosa runs but Harley LARIATS again! Harley runs, Rosa LARIATS again! Rosa fires forearms, then runs, but Harley dodges! Both women come back, DOUBLE FACEBUSTERS!

The fans fire up while both women are down! Rosa rises, she finds Harley, but Harley fires a forearm first! Rosa hits back! They go back and forth, shot for shot, and then Rosa has the edge! CODE BREAKER! Harley flops back, Rosa drags her to a cover, TWO! Rosa is annoyed but she goes for a chair. Rosa sits that chair up, then adds another. Those chairs face each other, then Rosa goes out to look for more. She brings in the big painted skull board, and she puts that across the chairs like a bridge. Rosa grins and she looks for Harley. Harley SMASHES a pinata on Rosa’s head! And again! And again! The candy is everywhere!

Harley drags Rosa up, suplexes, and Rosa crashes down through the board! Cover, TWO!! Rosa survives and the fans fire up! Harley SMACKS Rosa off a chair, then again, then again! Harley sits Rosa down and again shouts Harley is La Mera Mera! Harley runs, but Rosa dodge! Harley crashes into just chair! Harley hobbles, Rosa has the chair, and she SMACKS Harley on the back! And SMACKS her again! Harley writhes, but Rosa has the trash can! The trash can goes around Harley, and Rosa KICKS, KICKS and KICKS! Rosa treats Harley like a heavy bag, then RAMS her into a corner for more KICKS!

Rosa sits Harley down, then brings a table over! Rosa stands the table up and the fans fire up! The table is more a ramp, and Rosa runs to use it! Rosa FLYING DROPKICKS the trash can! Cover, Rosa wins!!

Winner: Thunder Rosas, by pinfall

La Mera Mera is STILL La Mera Mera! Rosa stands tall, but will she be waiting on the other side of tonight’s AEW Women’s World Championship match?

Backstage interview with The Undisputed Kingdom.

Lexy Nair is with Roderick Strong, Mike Bennett & Matt Taven and notes Roddy has his match with Shane Taylor tonight. This counts to MJF’s challenge, but Roddy shouts “SHANE!” Roddy knows Shane is a bad man, but he is just an obstacle on the road to Full Gear. As bad as Adam Cole wants to get his hands on MJF, Roddy wants that even more, because he wants to beat MJF within an inch of his life! Then Adam can finish the job. But enough about MJF, let’s talk about The Kingdom! Big win on Rampage last week, and Adam Cole is better than ever. But before Cole gets his second win on Wednesday against Malakai Black, Roddy needs his first!

Taven agrees. The Kingdom has made the changes that needed to be made. The Kingdom wants those AEW World Tag Team Championships, but tonight is about Roddy, the wrestling legend! But then Brian Cage & Lance Archer walk in. Why is Lexy wasting time with amateurs? They’re on the road to Max? Please. There is a road of devastation The Machine & Murderhawk Monster are on! City after city! Archer tells them all to sit their asses down while they watch a real tag team at work. Because as Archer says, #EverybodyDies! Taven asks who even are those Melvins. Will these two teams be on their own Collision course when it comes to the tag titles?

Kyle Fletcher VS Komander w/ Alex Abrahantes!

The Protostar thinks Will Ospreay is a coward just for not showing up after being hurt so bad he’s bedridden. But will Kyle be able to focus on his own business here tonight? Or will the Commander of the Skies make Kyle his third win in as many days between ROH, Rampage and Collision?

Kyle takes his time with his elaborate entrance attire, acting like he’s Tetsuya Naito fused with Taichi or something. The bell rings and Kyle throws his pants at Komander, to then BOOT him down! The fans boo but Kyle dusts himself off. Kyle paces while Komander flounders. Kyle smirks as he drags Komander up, and he scoops Komander to swing and TOSS! Komander flounders to a corner while the fans boo, and Abrahantes coaches him up. Kyle soaks up the heat, and he storms over to drag Komander up. Kyle CHOPS and Komander sputters as he goes to a corner. Kyle scoops and SLAMS Komander again!

Kyle paces, then looms over Komander. Kyle scoops Komander, puts him in the Tree of Woe, and he pushes on the legs. Kyle then KICKS away on Komander’s chest! The ref counts, Kyle sneaks kicks in while arguing. Kyle soaks up more heat while Komander flops out of the Tree. The fans rally but Kyle drags Komander up. Kyle whips corner to corner, runs in, but Komander dodges! Kyle hits buckles, but he keeps after Komander. Komander ducks ‘n’ dodges him, but springboards into Kyle’s arms! Kyle pops Komander up, but Komander crucifix takedown! TWO, and things speed up! Tilt-o-whirl RANA! DROPKICK!

The fans fire up as Komander has Kyle in a corner. Komander CHOPS, but Kyle gets mad! Komander CHOPS, but Kyle puts Komander in the corner. Komander dodges to CHOP, CHOP, and CHOP! Komander knuckle locks, KICKS, CHOPS, and goes up, up, and around, only for Kyle to SHOVE Komander down! Komander hits railing and the fans boo! Kyle grins then storms out after Komander. Kyle brings Komander up to APRON POWERBOMB! Kyle leaves Komander behind to flex, and fans boo while Collision goes picture in picture.

Komander writhes but is somehow still in this. Kyle taunts the fans, then fetches Komander off the floor. Kyle dusts himself off, drags Komander up, and runs him into railing! Kyle paces while he soaks up more heat. Kyle drags Komander up, puts him in the ring, and then takes his time stepping inside. Komander crawls but Kyle stalks him to then stomp him. Kyle stomps Komander at the ropes, the ref reprimands, but Kyle digs his boots in. Kyle flexes before stepping away, and Kyle mockingly apologizes. Kyle soaks up more heat from the fans, and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns and Kyle has Komander back in the Tree of Woe. Kyle runs corner to corner, but Komander sits up! Kyle goes up but Komander has him for SUPER SLICED BREAD! The fans fire up as Kyle bails out. Komander builds speed to slide, but Kyle slides in! Kyle DIVES and sends Komander into the desk! Kyle throws Komander into the ring, then eh BOOTS Abrahantes just because! The fans boo but Kyle smirks. Komander sees that and is pissed! He goes up and up to ARIHARA MOONSAULT! Down goes Kyle and the fans fire up! Komander checks Abrahantes, and Abrahantes says don’t worry about him, go after Kyle!

Kyle is in the drop zone, Komander climbs ups! But Kyle runs in, so Komander leaps over! Kyle scoops, Komander slips free to mule kick, SUPERKICK, and run! Kyle swings, Komander dodges, but then Kyle blows throw Komander’s lariat! Kyle runs in, into a SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO!! Kyle survives and Komander is stunned! The fans rally up, Komander aims, and he runs in at Kyle to go up and up and MOONSAULT! INTO BOOTS!! Kyle hauls Komander up, for a LAST RIDE!! Cover, TWO?!? Komander survives, that wasn’t the last one after all! Kyle seethes, and he drags Komander back up.

Kyle underhooks, and then smirks. The fans boo because they know what he’s doing. TIGER- RANA!! Cover, TWO!! Komander almost had Kyle! But Kyle scoops, only for Kmoander to slip free! Kyle hits buckles, Komander goes up and up, POISON- NO!! Kyle blocks, and he flips Komander up, but Komander RANAS Kyle out to the floor! But Kyle lands on his feet and keeps hold! So Komander POISON-RANAS Kyle to the floor!! The fans go nuts, “This is Awesome!” Komander puts Kyle in, but Kyle clings to ropes. Komander goes to the apron, blocks a kick to KICK, KICK, and APRON DESTINO!?!

Komander shoves Kyle into the ring, then hurries up, up and MOONSAULT!! Cover, TWO?!?! Kyle survives and no one can believe it! But Komander hurries to run in again, but into a LARIAT!! Kyle seethes, foams from the mouth like a rabid animal, and he runs corner to corner! GAMANGIRI!! Then Kyle puts Komander up top, climbs, TOP ROPE- NO, Komander slips free! Komander KICKS a leg out, Kyle hobbles, and Komander springboards! FLYING DESTROYER!!! Kyle flops out of the ring and the fans are thunderous! Kyle sits up in a daze but Komander aims from the far side of the ring!

Komander tightrope walks for the DOUBLE JUMP MOONSAULT!! Down goes Kyle but Komander puts him int he ring. Fans are still losing their minds, but Komander goes back up. CIELITO- NO, Kyle hits the ropes enough to trip Komander up! Kyle drags Komander off ropes, for a BRAINBUSTER!! But Kyle won’t let it end here, he wants to do damage! Kyle stands Komander up, runs in, GAMANGIRI!! And then with a sinister grin, Kyle puts Komander up top. Kyle climbs up, for the TOP ROPE BRAINBSUTER!!! Cover, Kyle wins!

Winner: Kyle Fletcher, by pinfall

The Protostar cut his hair, cut his ties with The United Empire, and has brought out something truly dark within himself. And now he rains down fists on Komander just because he can! But wait, here comes Mark Davis! The former Aussie Open stares down in the ring, and Kyle dares Mark to do something then. Mark says Kyle’s the one who’s afraid to do something. Kyle leaves, because he’s leaving Mark behind. But will Dunkzilla have to be the one to slap some sense into The Aussie Arrow?

Jack Perry speaks.

“A lot’s changing these days. Some for the better, and some remains to be seen. The only thing that-” Daniel Garcia interrupts by stepping in. Garcia says don’t be scared, he just wants to talk. What he wanted to do was come into Perry’s little hideout, grab him by the throat and push him against the wall again. But then he realized he needed to be nice and try a different approach. Aggression isn’t the best way to communicate with someone like Perry. Because someone like Perry and someone like Garcia, they’re very different people.

Perry was handed everything in his life since he was a kid, up until right now. But Garcia has been dealing with “pretentious pieces of trash like you” his entire life. What would Perry ever know about someone like Garcia? Honestly, he wants to know. Perry says he knows Garcia because he’s been Garcia. Everything Garcia believes in, Perry already believed. Perry already fought for everything Garcia thinks he’s fighting for now, because this was Perry’s dream. Just like it was Garcia’s. And Perry gave his everything to this because he loved it. Because he needed it. But it turned its back on him all the same.

But Perry sees this now for what it really is, and Garcia has seen just as well as Perry what kind of person succeeds here. Garcia has seen firsthand who his heroes really are. And yet Garcia still thinks there’s good and bad? “They” can’t even tell the difference. But Garcia is afraid to be the person he has to be, to sacrifice everything for what he loves, and that is why he is not ready. Perry leaves, but will Garcia come to understand what he’s talking about?

Brian Cage & Lance Archer VS Shaun Smith & Joe Keys!

Kyle just won big for the Don Callis Family, and now it is time for the newest members to do the same. #EverybodyDies, but will there be no team better than these Murder Machines?

The teams sort out and Cage starts against Keys. The bell rings and Cage CLOBBERS Keys! Then he BLASTS Smith! cage whips Keys corner to corner, UPPERCUTS, then GAMANGIRIS! Then GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up with Cage and he tags Archer. Archer bumps Keys off buckles, t hen runs corner to corner to ELBOW! Archer keeps moving, and he ELBOWS Keys again! Keys sputters, but Archer runs to ELBOW him again! Archer then short arm LARIATS Keys down! Keys dodges the next one, hot tag to Shaun! Shaun springboards, Archer dodges, but then Shaun ducks ‘n’ dodges. Archer scoops him for a BOSS MAN SLAM!

Archer drags Shaun up, puts him up top, and he tags Cage before he CLOBBERS Shaun to the floor! Cage drags Shaun up the apron, and deadlift SUPERPLEXES! The fans fire up, but Keys is back! Keys CLUBS Archer, but Archer CHOKE SLAMS him! Cage hauls Shaun up, CHOKE SLAM POWERBOMB!! Cover, Cage & Archer win!

Winners: Brian Cage & Lance Archer, by pinfall

They said they’re on a path of destruction, and that means no mercy! Archer hoists Keys up, Cage RAMS into Shaun! BLACKOUT BOMB for Keys! DRILL CLAW for Shaun!! Archer laughs as he then drags Keys up and feeds him to Cage. But here comes The Undisputed Kingdom! They run Cage & Archer off, is this just a preview of what we’ll get down the line? And we again see Kyle O’Reilly watching. He may be Conglomeration, but he seems proud of his former friends for turning over some new leaves.

Backstage interview with AR Fox.

Lexy is with the Whole Fox’n Show and says he had such a great showing against Ricochet. What is next for him? Fox says he just has to get… Nick Wayne steps in, accompanied by his mom, Shayna, and new ally in Kip Sabian. Nick says, “Sup, Fox? Funny how I’m just now seeing you after all this time has passed.” It’s been a year, year and a half, right? A lot has changed since then. Nick has since learned from his “father,” Christian Cage, that you never, ever forget who wronged you, and to always hold a grudge. Fox’s biggest mistake was jumping him in the Wayne wrestling school last year.

But Nick is a man now. He’s changed! He’s not the little boy Fox used to know. Didn’t he see what they did to Hook? And on Wednesday, Hook is supposed to face Christian, but he might not even show up. Fox tells Nick to hold on. Hook or not, Fox will face Nick next week for Collision. Fox adds, “Don’t sleep on Hook.” Fox leaves, Nick laughs off that warning. But will Nick learn a lesson when he faces Fox 1v1?

Kris Statlander speaks.

“I’ve been replaying that moment over and over in my mind, and it really pisses me off. Mercedes, I’m sorry that I crushed your Brickhouse, that I tore up your safety net. But if you’re everything that you say you are, then me coming for your TBS title at Full Gear should be no big deal. You walk around here like you’re better than everyone in AEW who put in the work day in and day out. Yet, you shield yourself with your entourage as you run away and hide in your private dressing room. You’re afraid. Because you know that I’m locked in, and that the target is you. Be prepared to prove your worth, Mercedes.

“Because last year at Full Gear, I only walked in as the TBS Champion. But this year, I’m walking out the  NEW TBS Champion!” Will #BornAgainKristen be the TWO-TIME Face of TBS?

Jon Moxley is here!

The Maniac leads his brutal “Death Riders” in from the crowd. It’s just Wheeler Yuta & Marina Shafir right now, but surely Claudio Castagnoli & Pac can’t be far behind. The fans are torn, but Moxley is amused that he has fans cheering him on at all. Moxley has a mic to say, “We are live in Philadelphia…! The home of Orange Cassidy. Who in three weeks, says he’s gonna ‘cut the head of the snake’ and win the AEW World Championship. Orange Cassidy wants to be the king? Well, he’s got the right idea but it’s not that simple. See, Orange, the game doesn’t begin on November 23rd at Full Gear. The game has already begun.

“The question isn’t whether or not you can slay the dragon in the ring. The question is whether or not you can even make it to Full Gear, with your body and your mind in tact. Orange Cassidy brings the AEW World Championship home to Philadelphia! Wouldn’t that be something? Wouldn’t that be something for you all to be proud of? Philly, I’ve given you something to be proud of. I know Philadelphia better than most. I cut my teeth here, I know what kind of person it takes to make it in Philadelphia. Philadelphia is a city that produces champions!” The fans cheer that!

Moxley says Philly has hard nosed people with grit, guts and determination. People of unshakeable character! Like Wheeler Yuta! The fans are a bit torn on The Decoder, but Moxley says they are honest, hard-working people who do their job. Moxley loves Yuta, he would do anything for Yuta. Yuta understands sacrifice! Yuta understands putting ego aside for the mission, for the goal, for the objective. Yuta understands what it is to fight for something bigger than himself. Wheeler Yuta is a Philadelphia HERO! Wait, Action Andretti makes his way out here? Moxley is intrigued by Action saying he cannot listen to this for another second!

Yuta is a hometown hero? Action is pretty sure Philly thinks Yuta is NOT what Philly is about. From that scruffy beard, he looks like he came from Amish town, straight off a horse and buggy! And if you wanna talk about anybody representing Philly, talk about HIM, Action Andretti! And if there is one thing about Action and his people, when you’re in his city, they ain’t about talking. They’re about action! The fans cheer that! Action is here, by himself, and he ain’t here to talk. he’s here to throw hands with anyone from BCC right here and now! What’s up!? The fans fire up and Yuta says okay, because THE BASTARD attacks!

The fans boo but Pac stomps away on Action! Pac CHOKES Action against ropes! The fans boo but Moxley lets Pac have his fun. A ref is here, and it’s Philly’s own Bryce Remsburg. Action tells Bryce to ring the bell, so the match is on!

PAC VS Action Andretti!

The bell rings, Pac CLOBBERS Action, whips him corner to corner, then back the other way! Action flops down, Pac storms up and he CHOKES Action! The ref counts, Moxley taunts Action, but Pac stops at 4. Action sputters but Pac talks trash. Pac BOOTS Action in the corner, CHOKES him again, then stops as the ref counts. Pac drags Action up to TOSS him out, and then Pac steps out to the apron. Pac looms over Action like a vulture, but Collision goes picture in picture.

Pac drags Action up, brings him around, and CHOPS him against railing! Pac taunts the fans, CHOPS Action again, and then talks more trash before he scoops and SLAMS Action on the floor! Pac soaks up heat, then goes back to Action. Pac refreshes the ring count to then drag Action up. Pac whips Action hard into railing! Pac storms up on Action to bring him up again. Then Pac THROWS Action into railing! Action flounders but Pac leaves him behind. Moxley mockingly coaches Action up, and Action drags himself to the steps. Action drags himself back into the ring, but Pac storms over to him.

Pac CHOPS Action, CHOPS him again, then follows him to a corner. Pac ROCKS Action, digs his boot in, but lets off as the ref counts. Pac drags Action from the corner, paces around him, but Action rises up. Pac drags Action up, reels him in, and snap suplexes! Collision returns to single picture as Action writhes. Pac watches him rise up, then runs in to UPPERCUT! Pac snapmares Action, taunts the fans, then clamps on a headlock. Action endures, fights around, and the fans rally up. Action fights up, but Pac whips. Action reverses, Pac reverses back, btu Action handsprings to BACK ELBOW! The fans fire up while both men are down!

Pac rises, Action crawls to a corner, and Philly is behind their hometown boy. Pac runs in, Action goes up and out to RAM into Pac. Action slingshots up and over, keeps on moving, ducks ‘n’ dodges again, to then DROPKICK! The fans fire up with Action now, and he builds speed to FLY! Down goes Pac and the fans fire up! Action puts Pac in, hurries after, and he climbs a corner to rain down fists! The fans count as Action gets to nine before Pac picks him up! Action slips free, dodges, Pac ducks a kick, but not the ENZIGIRI! Action runs, springboards, FLYING CHUCK! Action mule kicks, CHOPS, BUZZSAWS, and then suplexes for the FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO!

The fans rally up and Action goes to the apron. But Yuta distracts the ref! Marina JAMS Action in the leg with the briefcase! The fans boo but the ref missed it all! Action drags himself up in a corner, but Pac BOOTS him! Pac puts Action up top, then climbs up, for a SUPER DUPER PLEX! Action sputters but Pac just clamps on the BRUTALIZER!! Action TAPS, Pac wins!

Winner: Pac, by submission

Pac holds on, even after the bell! The fans boo and the ref reprimands but Pac won’t stop! Action is passing out, but here comes Orange Cassidy! Well, sort of. He’s in the crowd and the fans cheer. Cassidy says he has to say something real quick. “Go birds.” The fans cheer that. Cassidy says he loves Philly. So does Yuta. Remember all the times they had here? Remember when Yuta got started training and Cassidy helped him? Remember when Yuta fell on tough times, needed a place to stay, so he slept on Cassidy’s couch? They had a roommate. What was his name? Oh, yeah, Chuck Taylor. Does Yuta remember him?

Cassidy remembers that Yuta. The guy he’s looking at right now, that’s not him. The old Yuta would have never let anyone wrap a chair around his mentor’s neck and CRUSH it! The man in the ring now thinks that Jon Moxley, the guy who wants to BURN AEW down to the ground, cares about him!? Moxley does not care about Yuta, never has, and is just using Yuta. Cassidy needs to show Yuta and everyone else that Moxley is not the man he says he is. How does he do that? By putting a stop to all the false promises! In two weeks, just a few hours up the road via the 95, Full Gear in New Jersey.

Cassidy will bring back the old Yuta, bring back AEW, beat Moxley and become the NEW AEW World Champion! The fans fire up for Cassidy but Moxley and Yuta are both saying it won’t happen. Moxley tells Yuta to go get Cassidy, but Yuta says what does it matter. Moxley SLAPS Yuta and tells him to do it! Yuta reluctantly storms out after Cassidy, with a chair! Cassidy says hold on. He puts his hands in pockets! Yuta is annoyed, but Moxley tells him to just swing on him already! Cassidy says fine, if that’s what Yuta wants. Yuta hesitates, so Cassidy snatches the chair! Cassidy then dodges a punch to ORANGE PUNCH Yuta!

Moxley is pissed and now he hurries out there! Cassidy makes his way up the stands, and the fans cheer! Yuta is punch drunk from the Orange Punch, will Moxley end up like this in just three weeks?

Malakai Black speaks.

“Idle hands do the devil’s work. Have you ever heard that phrase, Adam? It means for those who sit still too long, they are more prone to do bad or evil things. And I have been sitting still and idly by for so long that I have become a shadow. So you and I are becoming relics of an era bygone. And why? Why am I being so cordial, Adam? Well maybe I want you to become the person to end all this for me. To silence these things that I have in my head. Maybe I want you to muffle the noises. Because if you don’t, I will drag you down so deep that the blackest black you have ever seen will not compare to what I will show you.”

Backstage interview with Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita.

Lexy is with The Don Callis Family’s Protostar & Alpha, and congratulates Kyle on the win. Kyle stops her there and says he is done talking about the past. Davis, Ospreay, they all wanna drag him into the past when he wants to look to the future. The Don Callis Family is looking into the future, and their future looks like gold! AEW gold at that. Private Party, congrats on becoming tag team champions, but it was only a few months ago when Kyle & Konosuke beat them in a match, so it is time for them to jump back into the Tag Team Division. There is no one Kyle wants to win those belts with than Konosuke, and they can even jump in this Wednesday.

And there is someone else Konosuke wants to get his hands on, right? Konosuke nods and calls out Ricochet in Japanese. Then in English, “Wednesday, I will end you.” Kyle says Ricochet can bring any one he wants, literally anyone, Kyle doesn’t care. The Don Callis Family heads out, will they completely take over AEW?

Lio Rush w/ Top Flight VS Ariya Daivari w/ Mark Sterling!

The Bad Child lost just last night on Rampage, but he is looking to turn things around and speed things up. Will he prove he is the Man of the Hour? Or will Daivari prove that the Premier Athletes Rule?

The bell rings, the fans boo as Daivari holds up the merch shirt, but then Daivari throws it to Lio. Daivari fires off on Lio in a corner, but lets off as the ref counts. Daivari scoops Lio to SLAM him, then says, “ATHLETES!” The fans say, “SUCK!” Daivari whips, Lio holds ropes then BOOTS back! Lio whips, Daivari reverses but Lio springboards to RANA! Lio runs to LARIAT Daivari in a corner, then he fires off hands! Lio stomps, the ref has him back off, but then Lio goes back for more! The ref counts, he has to pry Lio back, and Daivari runs up to LARIAT! Lio bails out, Top Flight has to back Sterling and Josh Woods off.

Daivari fetches Lio into the ring, then drags him up. Daivari fireman’s carries, but Lio slips free. Lio waistlocks, Daivari switches and goes for the full nelson. Lio slips under, ducks ‘n’ dodges ‘n’ redirects! Roll up, TWO! Daivari dragon sleepers for the REVERSE DDT! Cover, TWO! Lio stays in this but Daivari drags him up. Daivari CHOPS, but Lio CHOPS back! Daivari fires a haymaker, Lio fires a haymaker! They go back and forth, then Lio fires hands! Daivari kicks low, but Lio ROCKS him again! Lio whips, Daivari reverses but Lio fires off fast hands! Lio runs, but Daivari follows! Lio ducks then returns to LARIAT!

Lio suplexes for a FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO! Daivari stays in this and the fans rally up. Lio says it is almost time, and he goes up the corner. Daivari bails out, but Lio just hops down to build speed, and Lio DIVES! Woods takes the hit for Daivari! Lio hurries back in, and he DIVES to take out Sterling! The fans fire up but Daivari whips Lio. Lio swings, RANAS Daivari down, then hurries to put him back in the ring. Lio has Daivari in a drop zone, climbs a corner, but Daivari springs up! Lio jumps over, but Daivari wrenches him to DDT! Daivari slashes his throat and drags Lio up. Hammerlock and- NO, Lio ducks!

Lio shoves Daivari, then rebounds, RUSH HOUR! Daivari falls, Lio climbs, and it’s the FINAL HOUR! Cover, Lio wins!

Winner: Lio Rush, by pinfall

Lio redeems himself from Rampage, but he is still seething. Will Top Flight take the fight to Moxley’s Death Riders for how they did Action?

Backstage interview with MXM Collection and Johnny TV.

Mansoor & Mason Madden POSE, then so does Johnny. MXM are impressed, and Lexy brings up how Johnny was watching MXM’s previous match. Johnny wanted this time so the floor is his. Johnny says little known fact: fashion saves more lives than doctors. And last week, Johnny made a trip to the ER. But Lexy wouldn’t know anything about that, she doesn’t live in Hollywood like Johnny. Johnny has been doing this a long time, he’s seen it all, and he’ll tell them that MXM has “it.” Mason says that means so much coming from Johnny. Mansoor says MXM is the gift that keeps on giving, and receiving. But words like that are a true gift.

Johnny says if they ever wanna collab, feel free to slide into his DMs. Johnny poses, and then he magically slides away! Mansoor says that man knows how to make an exit. Then MXM slowly lower down off screen. But then will MXM join TV in taking AEW by storm?

Roderick Strong w/ The Undisputed Kingdom VS Shane Taylor w/ Shane Taylor Promotions!

We heard the Savior of the Backbreaker speak earlier, and he is looking to get started on his own three match challenge. Will Roddy be able to break big bad Shaney T. to then go after MJF? Or will Roddy learn how to rumble, bad man, rumble?

The bell rings and Roddy circles with Shane. They tie up, Shane powers Roddy back, but the ref counts. Shane lets off slowly, but then BODY SHOTS! Shane talks trash, JABS, JABS, JABS, then stomps away on Roddy! The ref counts, Shane lets off, but the fans rally for Roddy. MJF watches from home and is smirking as Roddy is in trouble. Roddy writhes, the fans rally, but Collision goes picture in picture.

Shane stands on Roddy at the ropes! The ref reprimands, Shane steps off, and Roddy sputters. Roddy drags himself up with ropes, but Shane DECKS him! Shane RAMS Roddy into the corner, then RAMS him again! Roddy CLUBS Shane but Shane ROCKS Roddy! Roddy stumbles to a corner but Shane is right on him again. Shane TOSSES Roddy across the way! Roddy flounders to the corner, and Shane runs up to LARIAT! Roddy sputters, Shane gets in his face, and then Shane stands Roddy up, to TOSS him again! Roddy flounders, the Kingdom coach him, but Shane CLOBBERS him in the corner!

Shane talks trash on Bennett & Taven, then goes for Roddy. But Roddy KICKS and fires forearms! Roddy runs, ducks a lariat, but not the SOUTHPAW! Cover, TWO!! Roddy survives and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns and Shane CLUBS away on Roddy’s neck! Then he HEADBUTTS Roddy down! Roddy flops half out of the ring, but Shane stalks over. The fans rally for Roddy, but Shane is on the apron. Shane kicks out at 3.01 but that is NOT enough! The Kingdom celebrates with Roddy, and MJF is no longer so smug. Will MJF’s plan backfire to where both Roddy and Adam get three wins in a row? Or will the Wolf of Wrestling find a way to worm out of this situation?

AEW Women’s World Championship: Mariah May VS Anna Jay!

It was Battle of the Belts where The Glamour faced The Queenslayer in a title eliminator. But since Mariah underestimated Anna, she got caught for a loss! Now, after weeks of trying to bully and belittle her, Mariah must face Anna again, title on the line! Will Mariah’s reign end before she even gets to celebrate it? Anna keeps on Mariah with a whip. Anna runs up to HEEL KICK! But Mariah DOUBLE CHOPS back! Mariah lifts Anna to BUCKLE BACK SUPLEX! Mariah then CLUBS away on Anna’s head and neck! The fans boo and the ref checks Anna, but Mariah paces. Mariah then storms  back over, CLUBS Anna again, and has her in ropes. Mariah pulls Anna back, then gives her a mocking kiss on the cheek. The ref counts, Mariah lets off, and she SHOTGUNS Anna in the back! Anna writhes and Mariah soaks up heat while Collision goes picture in picture.

Mariah paces around more, then stalks Anna to a corner. Mariah drags Anna up, CHOSP her, and Anna sputters away to another corner. Mariah CHOPS her again! Mariah stalks Anna to yet another corner, and whips her corner to corner hard! Anna falls and Mariah shrugs. Mariah mocks the fans by clapping for Anna, before she snap suplexes! Cover, TWO! Mariah grows annoyed with Anna, but she drags Anna back up. Mariah KICKS Anna in the back, stomps her down, then runs, to SHOTGUN Anna in the back! Cover, TWO! Mariah clamps onto Anna with a chinlock, but then adds the arms for a straitjacket stretch! Anna endures, even as Mariah digs a knee into her back. Mariah then KNEES Anna in the back! Anna fights up, fights around, and Collision returns to single picture as Mariah throws Anna down by her hair! Anna goes to a corner, the fans boo, and Mariah runs in. Anna dodges and Mariah hits buckles! Anna fires a forearm, then another, and another!

Anna fires off a flurry, then whips corner to corner. Mariah hits buckles, but Anna whips her back the other way! Mariah shoves Anna back, but Anna dodges the haymaker to FLYING FOREARM! And FLYING FOREARM again! And then SHOTGUN! The fans fire up with Anna while Mariah goes to a corner. Anna runs in, but Mariah goes up and over to sunset flip! Anna rolls through, jackknife bridge! Winner: Mariah May, by pinfall (still AEW Women’s World Champion)

The Glamour laughs maniacally as she proves she’s still the better wrestler! A technical move takes down Anna, showing she still has much to learn in this ring. Mariah caresses the belt, but then she actually offer a hand? Anna takes it, only for Mariah to leave her hanging. Will anyone ever humble Mariah? Or will AEW always be All About May?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision here, though they really jammed it full. Very good opening promo with Private Party and a lot of the other teams in AEW. Classic move to have Faces in one spot and Heels in another. I like that there’s some tension between Private Party and FTR because Private Party would of course want to beat another top team like that. But I also like The Outrunners being the peacekeepers here. That contender series is pretty good, too, though why the hell can’t it all just be one night? I mean, I get it, there are a lot of stories going on, some teams need to be open to do those moments. But at the same time, they could’ve easily done this all next Saturday, and then the rest of the build is the teams interacting with each other.

Though to that counterpoint, Top Flight ended up getting got by the BCC, now slowly becoming The Death Riders (Tony Schiavone let that name slip once in his commentary). Moxley does the opposite of what a Heel would do in that he compliments the town they’re in. He compliments Philly for being tough, hardworking and honest, but then tries to put that on Yuta when we’ve all seen Yuta be only two of those things right now. Action stepping up thinking he was fighting Yuta was some good stuff, but it kinda took the match with Pac to get Philly on Action’s side. Pac of course won, but great stuff with Cassidy calling Yuta out for how he changed. Cassidy and Darby have their match with Pac & Claudio on Wednesday, I feel like Yuta’s gonna affect the decision.

Lio VS Daivari was good, though overbooked with Sterling & Woods being around, but like… That was filler. It still works out better when Action got beat up by Pac, but I don’t know, beating Daivari only gets so much these days. On the flipside, Komander and Kyle had an awesome match to mostly help make Kyle look awesome in his newest Heel persona. The jacket is cool, the pants are cool, but then they’re tearaway, hence my comment about Taichi. Kyle gets a great win, and he has a good promo with Konosuke calling out Private Party and Ricochet. I feel like Ricochet is going to bring Ospreay with him just to shock Kyle and piss him off, and then we’ll get an awesome tag match that helps set up the two grudge matches, Ricochet VS Konosuke and Ospreay VS Kyle.

Very good promo from The Acclaimed, and not even because they’re calling out Private Party to get in on the tag title series again. It was good from how they were each passive aggressive to the other. Caster clearly wants to be singles guy but he also seems to think he still needs Bowens by his side. Caster still having the Hurt Syndicate card and simply having an “I dunno” response, there’s gotta be something that happens with The Acclaimed and Hurt Syndicate on Dynamite or something. Caster will say yes, Bowens will say no, they will fight, and no matter the result, Caster will join Hurt Syndicate.

Cage & Archer have a good promo with Undisputed Kingdom, and then of course Cage & Archer annihilate a team to build themselves up. Roddy VS Shane was also a great match, especially with Infantry now Heels and barking at Roddy. Great win for Roddy to start on his three match streak. Good promo from Malakai to call out Adam Cole, but Cole is definitely still winning. I still sense that MJF is going to make Cole and Roddy face each other so that only one can win three matches in a row and get their Full Gear match with MJF. Kyle watching Kingdom continues to be intriguing, I wonder if he leaves Conglomeration to join Kingdom and make it five guys.

And bookending the night with great women’s matches was itself a great move. Rosa VS Harley was a great Day of the Dead match, because it was basically a Day of the Dead themed Street Fight. Great win for Rosa, but I figured she was winning anyway. Harley has made great strides in the ring, though, so kudos to her, too. And then Mariah VS Anna was about equal to their Battle of the Belts match, but I do like that, on the same day we saw Cody Rhodes counter a sleeper to a pin and win, Mariah tried but didn’t win. Mariah still wins with some other roll-up move, and I figured Mariah was going to retain. We even got a Mina teaser before the main event, so clearly they’re getting back to building to Marina VS Mina.

My Score: 8.8/10

It was just last week that The Beast Mortos beat Anthony Henry’s second cousin by marriage, and that Mortos, Rush y Dralistico all beat down Beef and JD Drake. With Henry still out of action, JD & Beef have enlisted an equally meaty man in The Butcher from Buffalo! Will these mighty massive men make mincemeat out of LFI? Or will this Rampage be anything but tranquilo?

The teams sort out, only for them all the stare down instead. Butcher double checks, it was Mortos who beat up Beef? Yep! Butcher DECKS Mortos! Rush DECKS Butcher! The fans fire up as JD DECKS Rush, but Dralistico DECKS JD! JD CHOPS Mortos again, whips, but Mortos turns that around to whip JD! POP-UP SAMOAN DROP! Cover, TWO! JD stays in this but LFI runs to BLAST Beef and Butcher! Mortos wrenches JD, tags Rush, and Mortos DUMPS JD out! Rush brings JD around while Dralistico distracts the ref, and Rush THROWS JD into barriers! JD slumps down and Rush stomps away! Rush rains down fists, then fishhooks JD’s mouth!

The ref reprimands, Rush drags JD up and puts him back in the ring. Rush scuffs JD, Beef rallies the fans, but Rush CHOPS! The fans “WOO~!” and JD gets mad! JD CHOPS Rush, but Rush CHOSP back! And CHOPS! Tag to Mortos, and Mortos runs up to ROCK JD! Mortos whips, JD ends up in the LFI corner again. LARIAT, tag to Rush! Rush sucker punches Beef! Rush then SPLASHES JD! Tag to Dralistico, and Dralistico lines up a SUPERKICK! Dralistico & Mortos run to BLAST JD & Beef again! LFI has JD down in the corner, Rush feints Bull’s Horns just to BOOT JD! Rush rolls back, LFI tranquilo while fans fire up.

Rush taunts the fans, the ref makes sure Mortos & Dralistico leave JD alone, and Rampage goes picture in picture.

JD rises up to throw hands, but Rush ROCKS him again. Tag to Mortos, Rush ROCKS JD and Mortos fireman’s carries for a takedown. NECK TWIST! Cover, TWO! Mortos clamps onto JD with a motorcycle stretch, then digs his knee in. JD endures, fights up, but Mortos knees low! Mortos brings JD to the corner, tags Rush, and LFI mugs JD. Rush covers, LFI wins!

Winners: La Faccion Ingobernable, by pinfall

Butcher tried to be a friend but ended up on the chopping block. Will nothing stop LFI from taking over AEW?

Backstage interview with Stokely Hathaway.

Renee Paquette is with #BigStoke and wants to talk Private Party. They are the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions, does Stokely feel he’s a big part of that? Stokely says of course! He pushed Private Party in that direction. It is called motivation and tough love. If not for Stokely, Quen & Zay would not be the champions that you know today. When you think about it, Stokely is the architect of champions! Renee thinks he’s instigating a bit. Beg pardon? No, Renee, he would never. He loves his peers and coworkers, he loves AEW, he would die- Uh, well, he just loves AEW. So whoever started that rumor, they need to go check ’em.

Renee understands and Stokely says good. Architect of Champions! But will said architect simply build himself up to be torn down by reality?

Taya Valkyrie w/ Deonna Purrazzo VS Zoey Lynn!

La Wera Loca has The Virtuosa by her side, and La Wera Loca is on The Virtuosa’s side, as they look to stand tall atop AEW. They are talented, they are united, and they are The Vendetta. Will no one stand a chance?

The bell rings, the fans rally for Zoey, but Taya pushes Zoey to ropes to then LARIAT! Taya stomps Zoey, kicks her around, and then drags her up to fireman’s carry. Zoey fights free, spins Taya around and fires forearms! The fans fire up but Taya doesn’t budge! Tay then ducks a shot, to BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Taya flips Zoey over, has the legs tied up, and pulls hair! Taya then pulls arms, for some SHANIA PAIN!! Cover, Taya wins!

Winner: Taya Valkyrie, by pinfall

Taya made quick work of Cleveland’s own, will this be just the first of many victories for The Vendetta?

Cameras stay with The Vendetta as they return backstage, and Renee is there to congratulate Taya on that win. But Renee wants to know does this duo have- Stokely walks over and says what’s crazy is, that girl Taya just beat, she was telling everybody backstage that all Taya & Deonna do now is sit back, eat meatballs, and just chatter. If it were Stokely, he’d go back out there, whoop that girl’s ass, and prove a point. But this is none of his business. Stokely IS an instigator! Taya storms out to go after Zoey! SPEAR at the ramp! Taya rains down fists on Zoey, but the ref reprimands. Taya stops punching, only to clamp onto Zoey’s legs again!

Taya CLUBS Zoey, and then SHANIA PAIN on the floor! Taya laughs maniacally, as she sets Zoey up again! But Deonna says no, that was good enough. Taya spares Zoey, even though there’s no proof Zoey said those things. But is this a sign that no one better dare get in the way of The Vendetta?

AEW hears from Thunder Rosa and Harley Cameron.

La Mera Mera tells Harley Cameron, “You wanna paint your face like me? You wanna know what my face paint means? Dia de Los Muertos is the celebration of the dead. And the dead will laugh when you see what I do.” But the wild Aussie says, “Day of the Dead? People die every day. And do you feel that? That’s the WRATH of Harley Cameron, and you are gonna be wrathed!” Rosa says it is just her and Harley, and she’s in a lot of trouble. The first ever Day of the Dead match happens tomorrow night in Philadelphia, will things really get extreme on Collision?

Leila Grey VS Queen Aminata!

Top Flight Airlines takes off tonight, starting off with their Top Flight Attendant. Will Leila set the pace for the whole team tonight? Or will The One True African Woman rebound from her recent string of losses?

Winner: Komander, by pinfall

premier win on ROH against Ariya Daivari, and a big time win over Lio Rush on Rampage, but the week is not over for Komander! He’s about to have a Collision with Kyle Fletcher tomorrow night. Will Komander prove he is the ironman of AEW? Or will the Aussie Arrow shoot him down?

As for Top Flight, Lio regroups with them on the ramp. Action is telling Lio something, and at this point, it seems Darius & Dante have also come around to his way of thinking. Is Top Flight about to switch gears if it means getting to where they want to go?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage here, especially with there being story elements from start to finish, no filler. LFI VS Beef, JD & Butcher was really good stuff, good continuation of their story last week but also of the ROH story that’s building. LFI won, of course, but still a great showing from Beef and team in the loss. Good promo from Stokely, he could easily still have a story with Private Party since he’s trying to take credit for their victory. Taya of course won tonight, and I appreciate we have a team name for her and Deonna now. Stokely stirring the pot was also good stuff, it in part references how he turned Kris Statlander against Willow Nightingale.

Good promo from Rosa and Harley to hype up their match, the Day of the Dead Match is going to be great stuff, and will make for a great win in Rosa’s newest return. And then great string of matches from Top Flight to be the second half of the night. Really good match from Aminata and Leila, with a rare hair based wardrobe malfunction. In a roundabout way, it was like Leila was doing better with her real hair out. Aminata still wins, because she has to stay strong in the title chase, if she’s ever going to be champion at this rate. Really good Six Man Tag, especially with Action resorting to tactics that weren’t very Face-like. But with how BCC has been pushing everyone, and Action was already a hothead before that, this makes sense.

Lio VS Komander was an awesome main event, real fast ‘n’ furious, and I’m a little surprised Komander won. Granted, they ended up kayfabe scheduling him for three days in a row, so this has its own little story of, “Can Komander keep it going?” He won’t, Kyle Fletcher is of course winning on Collision, but clearly AEW sees Komander as a top quality utility player. That closing moment with Top Flight, I feel like they should be the ones to challenge BCC for the AEW Trios Championships, really bring out that gritty side, and in a roundabout way, earn some respect from Moxley. They won’t win the titles, but they’ll get that, and that’s something in itself.

My Score: 8.8/10

Tonight’s going to be scary good!

AEW Dynamite becomes Fright Night, and Private Party faces the fear of breaking up as a team in one last shot for the AEW World Tag Team Championships! Will Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy be able to vanquish the monsters that are The Young Bucks?

OFFICIAL RESULTS

  • Adam Cole VS Buddy Matthews; Cole wins.
  • AEW World Tag Team Championships, Titles VS Team Career: The Young Bucks VS Private Party; Private Party wins and becomes the new AEW World Tag Team Champions.
  • Kris Statlander VS Kamille w/ Mercedes Mone; Kris wins.

PLAY BY PLAY

“There is a night…

“…where thrill seekers, daredevils, and monsters gather to bring their own form of terror. A night where the most powerful will thrive. Where a man left for dead infiltrates a house of horrors. It’s a struggle of rivals that could mean the death of a party. And a night where even a dangerous man faces a whole new herd. This is that night. As AEW presents… Fright Night Dynamite!”

The Blackpool Combat Club speaks.

More post show footage from Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta as they stormed out of the arena last week. The Swiss Superman walks ‘n’ talks about how “five years ago, Jon Moxley built this place with is bare freakin’ hands! We’re not gonna let a bunch of punks ruin it for us. We’re going to take this company to new heights. And if you don’t see that, then you’re-” Wait, Orange Cassidy shouts over the audio to say stop it, shut it off! The footage stops, and the fans fire up as Freshly Squeezed storms his way to the ring! Cassidy says, “That’s enough of that. See, I don’t do this. I don’t like this. This is not who I am.

“I don’t come out here and tell you for ten minutes that I’m a leader. I’m not a leader. That’s not what I am. But after last week, when I slid into this ring, and I watched my best friend, Chuck Taylor, get his neck crushed by a steel chair… When I looked around, I was surrounded by the people that I should’ve been. I admire their courage, they’re all very, very talented. But they are very, very young. I was surrounded by the future of AEW.” The fans cheer that. Cassidy says those guys have no idea of the danger they are in. They have no idea how dangerous Jon Moxley is! The fans rally behind Cassidy, and he says he knew then and there what he needed to do.

If Moxley has his way, there is no future for AEW. Those young guys have nowhere to go. Moxley never needed AEW, but Cassidy does! The fans cheer that! Cassidy doesn’t exist without AEW! There is no him, there is no us, there isn’t this! The fans cheer more, and chant “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Cassidy says now he knows what he needs to do: He must stop this, cut the head off the snake, and make sure no one else gets hurt. He’ll do it alone so he can protect everyone. And how does he do that? Cassidy takes off the sunglasses to say, “Jon Moxley, I challenge you! I challenge you for the AEW World Championship!”

The fans fire up, and Cassidy says he will take the symbol of this company and what it represents, take it out of Moxley’s bag, and put it in his backpack! So then, Moxley, you just let Cassidy know. He isn’t hard to find. He is where he is every single week: right here in this ring! Because, uh, he’s Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy. The fans cheer Cassidy on as he puts the sunglasses back on, and Cassidy adds, “And I am the next AEW World Champion. And… I still don’t need a catchphrase.” The fans cheer as Cassidy steps up, not as a leader but as a defender of AEW! Will Cassidy heroically take back what the BCC is trying to take from us?

Mercedes Mone & Kamille arrive backstage.

The CEO tells her Brickhouse to completely annihilate Kris Statlander! Renee Paquette catches up to them, and brings up the match of Kamille VS Statlander to finally prove who is the strongest woman in AEW. Does Mone have a prediction? Mone and Kamille look to each other as if they can’t believe this. Mone tells Renee that Renee should know better. First thing is first, Cleveland, please say hello to your CEO. And secondly, Mone hates terrible questions. Predictions? Just look at Kamille! Kamille IS The Brickhouse. Mone understands Kris is one of the strongest, a powerhouse in this division.

But she doesn’t hold a candle to Kamille! Renee wishes Kamille luck and Mone says you don’t need luck when you’re with The CEO. Mone & Kamille head out, but who will win the battle of female titans in The Land?

Adam Cole VS Buddy Matthews!

The Panama City Playboy may be facing the Aussie Juggernaut tonight, but he’s also competing with his good friend, Roderick Strong, all in the pursuit of taking down Maxwell Jacob Friedman. Will it be all about the “BOOM!” for “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!” tonight? Or will Buddy prove that this Adam Cole just doesn’t have it?

The bell rings and the fans fire up as Cole stares Buddy down. They step to each other, and Buddy offers a handshake. Cole takes it, the fans applaud, but Buddy’s grip is strong. They circle, tie up, and Buddy powers Cole to a corner. Buddy lets off cleanly, and the fans rally. The two tie up again, Buddy again puts Cole in a corner, and he eggs Cole on as he lets off. Buddy and Cole circle more, tie up again, and Buddy again has Cole on ropes. The ref counts, Buddy lets off, and Cole tells him to bring it! They tie up, go along ropes, but Buddy still puts Cole in a corner. Buddy lets off as the ref counts, but Cole headlocks.

Buddy powers up and out, RAMS Cole, and the fans applaud as the two stare down again. Buddy headlocks, Cole powers up and out, but Buddy RUNS Cole over! Cole sits up, Buddy raises his fist, and things speed up. Cole drops, gets around, headlocks, but Buddy powers out. They RAM shoulders again, and Buddy wants Cole to bring it! Cole runs, RAMS Buddy, and again! And again! And again! Buddy headlocks for the takeover, Cole headscissors, but Buddy kips free! Cole shows superkick and Buddy backs up! The fans cheer, and the two reset. Cole shakes out his legs, still seeing for himself if he’s really ring ready.

The two reset, knuckle lock, and Buddy shoots to a waistlock. Cole switches, Buddy switches, but Cody backs Buddy into a corner. The ref counts, Buddy pushes Cole, but then Cole runs in. Buddy goes up and over, runs back in, but Cole dodges. Cole runs up, but Buddy puts him on the apron. Each man ducks a punch, but then Buddy feints, and Cole hops off the apron, only to jam his ankle! Cole is frustrated as he walks off the pain. We see Kyle O’Reilly watching backstage, is he just as concerned about the ankle as Cole? Cole hears the count, so he takes his time to get the bad ankle feeling alright.

But Buddy goes to the apron to PENALTY KICK Cole down! The fans fire up while Cole sputters, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Buddy looms over Cole, then drags him up. Buddy CHOPS Cole, stalks him along the way, and brings him around. Buddy SMACKS Cole off the apron, and Cole hurries into the ring. Buddy pursues, drags Cole up, and CHOPS! Cole goes to a corner and Buddy storms over, but Cole puts him in the corner! Cole CHOPS, but Buddy wags his finger. Buddy puts Cole in the corner to CHOP! Cole goes to another corner, but he lures Buddy in again. Cole CHOPS, but Buddy CHOPS back! Buddy wrenches Cole corner to corner hard and Cole bounces off buckles! Buddy watches Cole writhe, and he storms back over to him.

Buddy stands Cole up, whips him to ropes, but Cole ducks ‘n’ dodges, only for Buddy to catch him into a SLEEPER! Buddy squeezes tight, and he leans on Cole. Cole endures, fights up, and he RAMS Buddy into a corner! Buddy holds on, so Cole RAMS Buddy into the buckles again! Buddy still holds on, Cole tries again, but Buddy sends Cole into buckles! Buddy runs up, but into a BOOT! Cole hops up, but Buddy GAMANGIRIS! Cole wobbles up top and Buddy climbs up to join him. Buddy brings Cole up, but Cole fights the suplex! Fright Night returns to single picture as Buddy CLUBS away on Cole!

Buddy brings Cole to the very top now, for a SUPER DUPER PLEX! And a roll through! But Cole suplexes first! GHOSTBUSTER! Both men are down and the fans are thunderous! Buddy goes to the apron but Cole pursues. Cole is on the apron with Buddy, and he brings Buddy up. Cole fires a forearm, but Buddy fires back! They go back and forth, but Buddy V-TRIGGERS! Cole APRON DDTS!! Buddy flops to the floor, followed by Cole. The fans fire up again while the ring count starts. Buddy and Cole stir, we hit 5 of 10, and Cole rises up. Cole rolls in at 8, but Buddy drags him back out! Cole BOOTS Buddy into barriers!

Buddy hurries up, but Cole catches Buddy into a HEATSEEKER!! Cover, TWO!! Cole using MJF’s move doesn’t win it for him, but Cole keeps his focus. The fans rally and duel, and Cole goes up a corner. Cole takes aim as Buddy rises, for the PANAMA SUN- NO Buddy stops it into an Alabama Lift! But Cole sunset flips! Buddy rolls through, to DDT Cole’s foot! And DDT it again! Then again! Cole writhes his way to the bottom rope, but Buddy rolls out. Buddy drags Cole to the corner, and he STOMPS the foot on the steel steps! And again, and again, and again! The ref reprimands, Buddy stops, and Cole flops away!

Cole clutches the ankle, Doc Sampson checks him, and Buddy waits in the ring. The fans have their own ring count, but Cole says this is not how he wants this to end. Cole is determined to win three matches to face MJF, but Doc Sampson convinces him to at least get checked in the back. Buddy taunts Cole, “When the going gets tough, you just run away? This is what I mean, Adam! This new Adam is fragile! The old Adam Cole, he wouldn’t just walk away. But the new Adam Cole, is just a little b*tch!” Cole is pissed now so he storms back  up, even with one good leg! Cole rolls in, the fans are thunderous, and the haymakers fly!

Cole ROCKS Buddy again and again, but Buddy fires the strike fest! SOBAT! KNEE! Stomp to the bad food! And again! And again! Buddy brings Cole around but Cole shoves him away. Buddy eggs Cole on, but Cole fires body shots. Cole rises, tells Buddy to take his shot, but Buddy runs up! Cole steps up and over, SUPERKICK! And SUPERKICK! Winner: Adam Cole, by pinfall

That’s one win down, two more to go! Kyle nods, proud of his friend, but surely MJF is throwing a fit. Cole grabs a mic to have the music cut, and he tells Buddy, “I know what you did, and I appreciate it. You just reminded me of who the real Adam Cole is. And for that, Buddy, I thank you.” Cole offers the handshake, and Buddy takes it. The fans cheer the sportsmanship, but then the lights go out! The fans bark in anticipation, and as the lights come up, Malakai Black has switched places with Cole! The fans lose their minds, and that black paint over Malakai’s eye, has he set his eye on bringing The End to Adam Cole?

Backstage interview with Private Party and Christopher Daniels.

Renee is now with Marq Quen, Isiah Kassidy and the Interim EVP. Daniels wants to tell them that this match tonight, he and Frankie Kazarian were in this same situation three years ago. They had a ton of momentum, risked it all for a world title shot, because they thought there was no way they couldn’t be AEW World Tag Team Champions. But the night of that match, Daniels can’t lie, he let Frankie down, and that changed the relationship. Things were never the same, Kaz isn’t even here anymore. Private Party can be AEW World Tag Team Champions, but we’re still talking about The Young Bucks here.

The Bucks will do anything and everything they have to in order to stay champions. Daniels just hopes Private Party knows what they’re risking tonight. Quen tells Daniels they appreciate the words, but they’ve got this. Zay says no offense, but history will not repeat itself. Private Party will be leavin’ Cleveland the NEW AEW World Tag Team Champions. Daniels shakes their hands and Private Party heads out. Will Quen & Zay use this final shot together to finally reign together? Or will that not work for Matthew & Nicholas Jackson, brother?

The Undisputed Kingdom are with Adam Cole in medical.

Doc Sampson is checking Cole’s ankle and he says he’s good. Cole then says to camera that Buddy gave him one of the toughest matches he’s had in his entire career. And now it seems Malakai Black is on the radar. Cole is back in the fire, just how he likes it. But let us address the elephant in the room, and he means MJF. Cole’s ankle is clearly not what it used to be, it may never be the same again, but Cole doesn’t blame MJF for that. Cole does not blame MJF for shattering Cole’s ankle, or even for being a bad friend not checking up on him while he was injured. But what Cole does blame MJF for is pretending to that their friendship would ever work.

Because guys like Adam Cole and guys like MJF are meant to be enemies, not friends! Quit kidding yourself that you weren’t going to betray Cole, Max! And if you don’t believe him, Cole doesn’t need to explain himself past a few examples. In MJF’s tenure here in AEW, just look at what he did to Wardlow, to Sammy Guevara, to Daniel Garcia. If you think Cole was dumb enough to sit back and wait, you’ve got another thing coming. This isn’t Cole’s first rodeo, and MJF needed to be taught a harsh lesson. And what The Kingdom did, yeah, it was rough, mean, maybe even extreme. But DAMMIT, it needed to happen!

Because Cole gives a damn about AEW! About the AEW locker room! About the AEW fans! About what AEW was built on, what it is meant to be, and MJF was never part of that team. Cole swears to God with every fiber of his being, he will get his hands on MJF at Full Gear. Better yet, they get their hands on MJF! And when they do, Cole will be happy to teach MJF another lesson. One down, two to go. Cole and his real friends are ready, but will either Cole or Roddy make it through three matches without a loss? Or will the Wolf of Wrestling continue to worm his way out of getting what he deserves?

Kyle Fletcher & Don Callis are here!

The Don Callis Family stands on stage, and fans boo as Callis has the mic. Callis says, “Ladies and gentlemen, Kyle Fletcher has something important to say!” The mic is handed over to the Aussie Arrow, and he says he is a man of his word! Kyle Fletcher is here to call out and stand face to face with Will Ospreay. Without further ado, the man himself, the Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay! Kyle watches for the tunnel, but no music and no Ospreay. Kyle says he is just as disappointed as the fans. He was really hoping Ospreay would show up. But this proves what- WAIT! The Aussie Open music starts?!

The fans fire up as MARK DAVIS is here! Kyle’s tag partner and friend is back in AEW! Kyle is surprised to see Mark, not the man he was expecting, but so good to see him. But then Mark denies him the hug! Mark tells Kyle to listen. Mark wishes he could look Kyle in the eyes and say the exact same thing, but Kyle is out here calling out Will when you know he’s laid up at home because of what Kyle did to him. Kyle is standing here, calling out someone that they both used to call a brother. So when Mark is here, looking at Kyle, he doesn’t even know who he is looking at! Oh, Mark doesn’t know? Mark thinks Kyle has changed?

The only thing that has happened since Mark was away is that Kyle opened his eyes to the truth! Callis helped Kyle see Ospreay for who he truly is! Ospreay never cared about Aussie Open. Ospreay kept them in his back pocket to help further his own career! So they can forget about Ospreay because Kyle is sure Ospreay forgot about Mark. BUT Kyle never forgot. Kyle knew this day would come, and made sure that when it did, Mark would always have a spot in the Don Callis Family. The fans boo but Kyle and Callis offer hugs. Mark says, “Family? Mate, we had an emipre. A United Empire, and mate, you destroyed it.”

Mark steps around Kyle and Callis, and Kyle tells Mark that before he goes, “There is going to come a day very soon where you need to make a hard decision. And I have proven before that I have no problem cutting the past loose.” The Aussie Arrow gives Dunkzilla a not so veiled threat, but what will Will Ospreay have to say about all this?

Backstage interview with Hangman Page.

Renee is now with the Blackhat Cowboy, and says last week, it was made official: Hangman Page VS Jay White at Full Gear. White had some choice words, too, saying this was Hangman’s chance at “redemption.” What are Hangman’s thoughts on that? Hangman says in July, White entered the Owen Hart Cup with his eyes dead set on the AEW World Championship. But Hangman knocked White out in the second round. White can lay the blame at Christian’s feet all he wants, but it wasn’t Christian but Hangman that hurt White so bad that White spent three MONTHS at home.

And White comes back looking for Hangman, not the title. That is a mistake. White wants to bring up their record against each other, 4-1 in White’s favor. Hangman did lose at WrestleDream, he will give White that. But now, this is White giving Hangman redemption? Hangman will make this very clear: There is no such thing as ‘redemption.” Not for White, not for Hangman. Only the now! The wins, the losses, and the consequences that follow. Hangman knows White’s strategy for Full Gear. White will go for Hangman’s leg, go Dragon Screw and Shin Breaker, but what will Hangman’s strategy be? You don’t know.

Will Hangman hit White with a chair? Will Haman strangle White and injure White’s friends while he watches? Will Hangman light White’s house? Will Hangman break White’s ankle again? One thing for sure, at the end of Full Gear, when and not if Hangman beats White, Hangman will stand over White and leave him like he has so many others to stand in front of him: Hurt with less than you had before. Hangman will leave White behind. The Cowboy heads out, will he be the one to win this shootout with the Switchblade?

The Blackpool Combat Club is backstage.

Wheeler Yuta, Pac, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and yes, Jon Moxley, all step inside the building. What will these five have planned for The Land tonight?

The Blackpool Combat Club heads to the ring.

Fright Night returns from break as The Maniac walks with The Problem, The Bastard, The Swiss Superman & The Decoder through the crowd and to ringside. The fans are torn as they step into the ring, and Moxley grabs a mic. Moxley says he doesn’t expect Orange Cassidy or anyone else to appreciate what this group is trying to do right now, but one day, they will understand. Freshly Squeezed came out here, and he thinks he can face Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship. The fans think Cassidy challenged Moxley for the AEW World Championship. No, Moxley challenged Cassidy!

No one just challenges the champ, that’s not how this works. Moxley challenged Cassidy when he had Chuck Taylor’s neck broken. What Moxley did is, he cut distraction and dead weight out of Cassidy’s life so that Cassidy could focus on his goals. The BCC walked into the room, basically asked who was in charge, and everybody pointed to Cassidy, “He’s our guy.” But Cassidy didn’t wanna step up and lead his people. That’s not the Cassidy that Moxley knows. That is not the Cassidy that Moxley thinks the world off. Do not catch the disease, be under the spell that so many people are under. Fat and happy with their paychecks, figments of their own imaginations, that they’re something that they’re not.

Moxley does not want that for Cassidy. Moxley has pushed Cassidy again and again, and Cassidy has not yet begun to walk through the valley. Cassidy wants Moxley at Full Gear? Tonight? Any time? Fine by Moxley. When that happens, Cassidy will not fight Moxley on the mountaintop but in the valley. And Cassidy better be ready to die, because believe Moxley, THIS valley right here is the valley Moxley is willing to die in! The fans do cheer that, at least. Moxley says Cassidy claimed no one gets hurt. A real cool customer, free from distractions, but he thinks he’s pulling the strings? We’ll see about that right now.

Moxley signals to the others, and Marina & Pac drag Yuta down?! Claudio grabs a chair! The fans boo, they’re making Yuta a sacrificial lamb just to make a point! The chair is around Yuta’s neck, but here comes Cassidy! He TACKLES Moxley! The fans fire up, but Claudio drags Cassidy off him! Pac & Moxley stomp Cassidy while Marina gets in Yuta’s face. Marina tells Yuta to join in, and so Yuta does! The fans boo Yuta as he can’t see how he is also just a pawn in this. But here comes The Dark Order! Evil Uno, John Silver & Alex Reynolds go after the BCC! The fans fire up for the brawl, but the numbers isn’t on their side!

Claudio has Reynolds, and THROWS him into railing! The bad ribs are only feeling worse, and then Claudio TOSSES Reynolds into the timekeeper’s area! Moxley beats up on Silver while Pac TOSSES Uno! Yuta has the chair that almost crushed him, and he uses it to SMACK Cassidy! Silver is sent into steel steps! Marina CHOKES Silver while Yuta SMACKS Uno with the chair! Yuta hands the chair to Pac, and Pac puts the chair around Cassidy! The fans boo as they hold Cassidy down, but DARBY ALLIN REPELS DOWN FROM THE RAFTERS!! A true student of Sting, and Darby fires off on Claudio! They brawl onto the desk, and it breaks!!

The fans are thunderous for Darby as he BITES Claudio on the head! Reynolds unhooks Darby so he can go after Claudio more! Pac and Uno brawl, Moxley isn’t sure what to make of this! Claudio TOSSES Darby back onto the desk wreckage! And he UPPERCUTS Reynolds! But Darby is back up to RAM Claudio into railing! Darby claws at Claudio, and here comes Top Flight! Dante, Darius, Action, Lio, they all help turn the tides! Claudio TOSSES Darby but Darius throws hands! Claudio THROWS Darius! But now Daniel Garcia & Private Party run out here! ORANGE PUNCH for Moxley!! Private Party gives Yuta the atomic drop and ENZIGIRI!

The BCC is in retreat because now they’re the ones outnumbered! But the brawling keeps happening! Wait, with Private Party out here, here come The Young Bucks! They don’t want to fight The BCC, but they will take advantage of having Quen & Zay here, caught unawares! Will Matthew & Nicholas look to end the party already? Quen survives and the fans cheer, but Matt mockingly applauds while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Matt paces, then stomps Quen. Nick soaks up the heat while Matt stalks Quen. But Quen fires body shots! Matt CLUBS Quen down, scuffs him, then brings him over. Tag to Nick, BACKBREAKER and slingshot LEG DROP! The Bucks soak up more heat, they’re just toying with Private Party at this point. Quen and The Bucks are down, Zay realizes he is bloodied, and now Zay’s mad. Nick anchors Quen, but Quen kicks and crawls. Zay rallies the fans, Quen BOOTS Nick away! Fright Night is single picture again, HOT TAG TO ZAY!

Zay rallies on The Bucks! Lariat after lariat, but then Nick kicks low! The Bucks whip, but Zay DOUBLE DROPKICKS! The fans are thunderous as Zay rains fists onto Matt! Nick CLUBS Zay, but Quen CLUBS Nick! Quen ROCKS Nick, and he stomps Nick in a corner. Zay ROCKS Matt and puts him in a corner! Private Party coordinate, they double whip, but The Bucks dosido! But Private Party dodges to DOUBLE SUPERKICK! The fans fire up as Private Party gives The Bucks a taste of their own medicine! Private Party goes up the corners, they aim for DOUBLE 450 SPLASHES!! Backstage interview with Jamie Hayter and Penelope Ford.

Renee is with these two former friends turned bitter enemies ahead of their match next Wednesday. Penelope has been assured by Tony Khan that there will be no physicality here. Let’s take things back- Penelope stops Renee there to say that she has been in AEW since day one. And it seems like so many people have forgotten who she is, including Jamie. Penelope has done so much, from going through glass, barbed wire, having bamboo skewers in her head. After two YEARS away, Penelope will take what she deserves, and what Hayter took from her! Hayter says Penelope just took an opportunity away from her! And we’re talking about stuff from two years ago?!

Hayter says go ahead, Penelope. She’s lucky TK granted No Physicality. In their match? Not so much. Hayter will mop the floor with Penelope. Hayter heads out, but will Penelope make sure things go superbad for Hayter this Fall?

AEW hears from MVP and Prince Nana.

Montel Vontavious Porter tells Swerve, “I have no doubt that one day, your name will be spoken among the greats. But that’s if you come to your senses. I might be willing to have mercy on you, Shelton Benjamin won’t.” Nana fires back that MVP wanted Swerve to make a choice, and Swerve made the greatest choice of them all, by choosing himself. And tonight, Shelton finds out that Swerve is undoubtedly the most dangerous man in AEW. The Realest and The Standard of Excellence will have it out in tonight’s main event, is this one about to get scary?

The Learning Tree is on stage.

Chris Jericho smiles while Bryan Keith scowls and “Big Bill” Morrissey speaks. “As The Learning Tree always says, ‘Teamwork makes the dream work. But the dream will not work unless the team works together.'” Jericho waves and says, “Hi, guys~! And welcome to All Hallows’ Eve. That means The Night Before Halloween. Hahaha.” And last week in Ladder War, the match that The Wrestling Observer said would be remembered for a long, long time, a ladder match that THE Dave Meltzer gave four stars to, Jericho became the ROH World Champion a second team. Just like Jay Briscoe!

And that also makes Jericho a nine-time world champion, fulfilling the prophecy of him becoming The Nueve. Now, Jericho could not have done this without The Bad Apple, The Redwood, and all of his Branches watching at home, and here in Cinc- Er, Cleveland. But this is so much more than about winning the title. Jericho thinks big picture. Just like how Terrifier 3, the movie he costarred in and quarterbacked, became the number one movie in America… Just like AEW itself becoming a pro-wrestling powerhouse, with all due respect to Jon Moxley but mostly because of Jericho, Jericho will do the same for ROH.

Jericho will take ROH to the biggest stage and the biggest success it has ever seen. How will he do that? Because he is Chris Jericho and he just can. And if you are underestimating Chris Jericho, then you are overestimating your knowledge and understanding of the TV and pro-wrestling business. Keith says, “NEVER underestimate Chris Jericho, you bunch o’ dumbasses!” Jericho says what he will do is let everyone reach down between their legs, ease their seats back, and enjoy the ride. Jericho is taking ROH and all of us to places you’ve never, ever been before. Thanks, guys~!

The fans are torn, but will this new era of “Ring of Jericho” really be the biggest and brightest yet?

Anna Jay speaks.

“This business came at me fast. I was nervous, I was green, but I dove in headfirst. But I kept being told that I was missing something. That I was almost there, but not there yet. I needed to change. I am ready to be AEW Women’s World Champion. You are not ready for me.” Will Anna finally be The Star of the Show after her Collision with The Glamour?

Alex Marvez is backstage.

He is looking to talk with The Young Bucks after their loss in the tag title match, but Jack Perry steps in his way. Not a good time, Marvez. Go, get outta here. Marvez leaves, but then Garcia finds Perry. Garcia asks Perry what he was doing earlier while the others were fighting BCC. Just watching his boys lose their titles? Perry knows he’s next, right? Perry shoves Garcia and tells him to mind his own business. Garcia gets in Perry’s face and pushes him into the wall! Garcia is sick of entitled trash like Perry acting like they can do whatever they want. Perry asks Garcia, “You think you’re so special?” But Garcia just shoves Perry back into the wall!

Garcia turns that on Perry, “You think you’re so special?” Perry says, “They used to dance for me, too.” Garcia gets mad but tells Perry to get out of his face. The Scapegoat grins while Red Death leaves, and Perry enters The Elite’s locker room. They’re packing everything up as fast as they can, and… is Brandon Cutler putting stuff in the paper shredder? Matt tells Perry they gotta talk. No cameras, get outta here! Perry pushes the cameraman aside, but what is going on with The Elite?

Kris Statlander VS Kamille w/ Mercedes Mone!

The Galaxy’s Greatest is now the #BornAgainKristen, but The Brickhouse left her on The Road to Damascus last week. Will Kris show she’s still the strongest, baddest and even the scariest woman in AEW? Or will The CEO’s insurance policy keep her safe from Staturday Night Fever?

The bell rings and the two tie up. The fans rally as they’re in a deadlock. They break, and Kamille kicks low. Kamille headlocks, Kris powers up and out, but Kamille RAMS her! The fans cheer as Kris stays up. They tie up again, Kamille pulls hair but Kris pulls hair back. Kris whips, Kamille reverses, but the fans chant “C E O!” “SUCKS!” “C E O!” “SUCKS!” Kris dodges Kamille, but Kamille RUNS Kris over! Kamille fires up, but Kris kips up! Mone warns Kamille, but Kris SHOTGUNS Kamille! Kamille stays up to run up, but Kris avoids the elbow drop! The female titans reset, and then Kris eggs Kamille on.

Kamille runs in, Kris DUMPS her to the apron. Kamille stays on the apron, Kris ROCKS her, but Kamille blocks the buckle bump. Kamille ROCKS Kris, HOTSHOTS Kris, then storms in to LARIAT! Mone is pleased but the fans boo, and Kamille dribbles Kris’ face off the mat while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Kamille keeps bouncing Kris off the buckles, and Mone soaks up the cheers and jeers for her. Kamille puts Kris through ropes to CLUB away on her! Not quite the Bodhrain but Kamille still beats Kris like a drum until the rf counts 4. Kamille then sets Kris up for MORE shots to the chest! Kamille lets off, argues with the ref, and Mone scampers over like she did with Queen Aminata last week. But this time, the ref spots her! The ref warns Mone, so Mone backs off. Kamille drags Kris up, but Kris fires body shots. Kris runs, but Kamille LARIATS her back down! Cover, TWO! Kamille is annoyed but she drags Kris up.

Kamille bumps Kris off buckles, runs her side to side to bump her off buckles, and then she runs side to side to do it again! Mone taunts Kris with the TBS Championship, and Kamille runs Kris to the fourth corner. Kris stops the buckle bump this time, and fires body shots! Kris bumps Kamille off buckles again and again, then fires off fast hands! The refs counts, Kris lets off, and Kamille runs up to BOOT Kris down! Kamille covers, TWO! Mone is annoyed and tells Kamille to stay on Kris. Kamille dribbles Kris off the mat, but Kris comes back with body shots. Kamille BOOTS Kris down, and Fright Night goes to break.

Fright Night returns from break and Kris dodges Kamille to LARIAT! Kamille stays up, so Kris runs again! Another LARIAT, but Kamille stays up! Kamille swings, Kris dodges, and SNAP POWERSLAMS! The fans fire up but Mone panics. Kris waistlocks, Kamille elbows free, but Kris dodges the boot! Fireman’s carry, F5! Cover, TWO!! Kamille survives but Kris drags her to a drop zone. Kris climbs and the fans fire up. Kris grins at Mone, but Kamille moves, the 450 FLOPS! Kamille comes back, ROUGH RYDER!! Cover, TWO!! Kris survives, but Kamille hurries to haul her up! Torture rack and TOWER HACKER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!?!

Kris survives and Mone is losing her cool. Kamille drags Kris up, gut wrenches, but Kris fights to turn things around! Kris tucks Kamille in, STATURDAY NIGHT FEVER!! Cover, Kris wins!!

Winner: Kris Statlander, by pinfall

Mone is freaking out! Her undefeated Brickhouse loses, but then Mone CLOBBERS Kris with the belt! The fans boo but Mone grabs a mic. “Kamille, get to the back. NOW!” Mone orders her muscle around, then she says, “When you want something done right, you do it yourself.” Mone sits Kris up and tells her they are not done. Will The CEO end Kris’s redemption tour with her own two hands?

The Patriarchy speaks.

Christian Cage tells Hook, “Last week, we had a bit of a misunderstanding. So what I’d like to do is extend an olive branch to you to meet The Patriarchy in the middle of the ring next week on Dynamite, and allow me to explain myself.” Captain Charisma smiles, but will the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil not care to listen as to why Christian did what he did?

Backstage interview with The Conglomeration.

AEW returns as Renee is with Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly & Tomohiro Ishii, and she brings up Mark losing the ROH World Championship to Jericho. We all know how much that title means to Mark, and how much ROH means to him, so where does he go from here? Mark says Renee has never lied, and she’s damn right about ROH and the title meaning a hell of a lot to him. But what he wonders at this point, is when did Jericho bump his damn head to the point where he doesn’t care about his own well-being? The word of the day is “instability,” because Jericho must have a whole lot of that going on up in his brain!

Jericho obviously no longer cares about his health, because he let Jay Briscoe’s name come out his damn dirty mouth yet again! And for that, Jericho will pay! The only way Jericho ever got one up on Mark is because he’s got his boys! Well look at here! They conglomerating hard, baby! Three of y’all, three of them, what’s Kyle think? Kyle thinks the Learning Tree ain’t got no honor, so next Wednesday, a Fight Without Honor!! Mark says damn right! He loves Kyle! Wednesday, ladders, tables, chairs, batten down the hatches cuz if they ain’t, Conglomeration’s beating you with some hatches! Big Tom has his hatches ready? Ishii nods. Damn right he’s ready!

Mark says in Manchester, New Hampshire, Six Man Fight Without Honor! Let’s go, baby! RARARARA! Ishii tells Jericho in Japanese that he’s done for. Will the Learning Tree be uprooted once and for all? Or is the ROH World Championship stuck in the Jericho Vortex for good this time?

The Bucks are hurrying to the parking lot.

Matt & Nick look over their shoulders, Marvez is there to ask them why they’re leaving when the show isn’t even over yet. But then Daniels storms up to ask the same thing! Nick says they may not see eye to eye, but they all know this place is getting too chaotic. They’re outta here. Matt tells Daniels that when The Bucks came back, they wanted to change the world, to make AEW a better place, and no one else would listen to them! Now get outta their faces! They’re working from home! What? No, they need The Bucks here! What’s going on here? The Bucks drive away, but they left without Cutler and the Reeboks!

And now The BCC finds Cutler…! Moxley SLAPS the box out of Cutler’s hands, and Pac BOOTS Cutler! Daniels says stop, but Moxley grabs Daniels! Moxley has a SLEEPER on Daniels while the others beat Cutler! Marina puts Cutler’s hand on a forklift’s tire well! Daniels begs Moxley not to do this, but Claudio has a hammer! Will no one be spared in this hostile takeover?

Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS Shelton Benjamin w/ MVP!

The Realest doesn’t need anyone else getting in his business about putting the hurt on others. But The Standard of Excellence is looking to teach everyone in AEW what happens when you refuse an offer from Montel Vontavious Porter. Will AEW no longer be Swerve’s House? Or will things only get more dangerous than ever before?

The fans chant “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” The bell rings and Swerve stares Shelton down, then smirks. Swerve and Shelton step up, talk a bit of smack, and then circle. They feel things out, Shelton RAMS Swerve right to a corner! Swerve avoids a lariat to CHOP, but Shelton just grins. Swerve headlocks, Shelton powers up and out, and they RAM shoulders. Neither man falls and Shelton shakes his head. So Swerve fires forearms! Swerve whips, Shelton reverses then waistlocks. Swerve fights the lift, pries at the hold, but Shelton SLAMS Swerve down! Shelton keeps on Swerve, but Swerve has the ROPEBREAK!

Swerve fires hands, whips, but Shelton reverses to clinch and OVERHEAD BELLY2BELLY Swerve up and out! The fans fire up, MVP likes what he sees, and Shelton goes out after Swerve. Shelton scoops Swerve, but Swerve slips free to POST Shelton!

Shelton staggers, Swerve laces an arm through the ropes! Swerve has a HANGING ARMBAR! The ref counts, Swerve SNAPS the fingers before he lets go! Nana coaches Swerve as he goes to the corner. Shelton runs in, but Swerve goes up and over! Swerve then 619’s Shelton in the gut!

Swerve slingshots, but into the STEP-UP KNEE! Swerve falls to the floor, MVP is there to mock him, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref checks Swerve but he’s still in this. Nana rallies the fans, MVP talks some trash, and Shelton goes out to scare Nana off. Shelton drags Swerve up, and snap suplexes him to the floor! Swerve writhes, Nana coaches him, but Shelton leaves him to the ring count. Swerve climbs onto the apron but Shelton runs to BLAST him back down! Swerve hits railing, but he hobbles his way back over. Shelton drags Swerve up to the apron, and he fires knees into Swerve! The ref reprimands, and Shelton stops. Swerve sputters as he backs away to a corner. MVP is there to just smirk at Swerve, and Shelton digs his boots in.

Nana and MVP shout at each other, and the ref reprimands everyone. Shelton goes out to scare Nana off again, then Shelton goes back to the ring. Swerve DROPKICKS Shelton down! Nana applauds and Swerve hurries to his feet. Swerve runs, but into a BACKDROP! Swerve writhes, Shelton stalks him to a corner, but Nana continues to coach Swerve. Shelton drags Swerve up and TOSSES him to the apron. Shelton KNEES Swerve in the ropes, then goes up the corner. Shelton FLYING KNEES Swerve down! Shelton clamps onto Swerve with a chinlock and grinds him down. Swerve endures, fights up, and the fans rally.

Swerve reaches for a corner, but Shelton GERMAN SUPLEXES him away! Fright Night returns to single picture and Shelton stalks Swerve again. Nana coaches Swerve but Shelton waistlocks, to GERMAN SUPLEX again! Swerve flies to the other side of the ring, and Shelton grins. Fans want that “One More Time!” and Shelton storms over to Swerve. Shelton waistlocks again, but Swerve fights the lift. Swerve pries the waistlock open, but Shelton CLUBS him for it. Shelton BACKDROPS but Swerve sunset flips! TWO, and Swerve has the legs! Swerve works to turn Shelton but Shelton fights. So Swerve rolls Shelton while Nana and MVP actually debate calmly.

Swerve has Shelton in a waistlock, O’Conner Roll, then EDDY GORDO KICK! Shelton flops onto ropes and MVP is upset now! Nana rallies the fans behind Swerve, and he says Swerve IS AEW’s most dangerous man! Swerve runs up, UPPERCUTS, then snapmares. Swerve goes up to FALLING UPPERCUT! Shelton writhes, and Swerve hits the Griddy! The fans cheer, and Swerve goes up and out to aim at Shelton, BOOT from the apron! The fans fire up as Swerve puts Shelton back in the ring. Swerve then goes up the corner, to BLINDSIDE MISSILE DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Swerve grins as he watches Shelton rise up, and he half nelsons!

Shelton fights the rest of the turnaround, so Swerve just hits a BACKBREAKER! Swerve still wants the nelson, but Shelton breaks the grip to wrangle Swerve! KIMURA!! Swerve endures, floats, cover, TWO! Shelton lets go of the arm but he runs up on Swerve, only for Swerve to HIP TOSS him! Swerve then gator rolls Shelton into a facelock, but Shelton suplexes first! The fans are torn but Shelton grins. Nana coaches Swerve, but Shelton watches him. Shelton runs up, no Paydirt! Somersault and- NO, Shelton just stuffs Swerve’s flatliner! Shelton tucks Swerve, DDT! Cover, TWO!! Swerve survives but MVP still gloats to Nana.

The fans rally up as both Swerve and Shelton rise. Shelton reels Swerve in and waistlocks, but Swerve uses the British Escape to then ROCK Shelton with a right! MVP shouts at Shelton to get up, Nana coaches Swerve, and it is Swerve who stands first. Swerve climbs the corner, but Shelton springs up after him! Shelton has Swerve, but Swerve slips under! Swerve brings Shelton out, for a POWERBOMB!! Then Swerve hops right back up the corner! KILL STOMPS!! Cover, SWERVE WINS!

Winner: Swerve Strickland, by pinfall

An instant classic for the first-ever Fright Night Dynamite, and wait, is MVP getting out his phone? MVP makes a quick call, but to who? Swerve is back on the winning track, will he make his way to some gold? WAIT! The lights blink out for a second, and now… timpani drums?! BOBBY LASHLEY IS HERE!?! Mighty is he, and now he is All Elite! The fans go wild as Lashley steps into the ring with MVP to stare down Nana & Swerve. Shelton gets up, Swerve steps to him, so Shelton backs off, and Lashley CLOBBERS Swerve! MVP JAMS Nana with the cane! The fans are torn as the Hurt Syndicate mug Swerve & Nana!

MVP says Nana did this! Shelton feeds Swerve to the MILE HIGH SPINEBUSTER! Lashley throws off his jacket, and then makes Swerve watch Shelton BOOT Nana down! Then, THE HURT LOCK!! Swerve is passing out already! Referees rush out here but Shelton & MVP will not let them in! Security steps in, SUPERKICK from Shelton! MVP DECKS the other guy! Shelton TOSSES another guard, and Lashley finally lets Swerve go to throw hands on the security! As if BCC doing what they want wasn’t bad enough, The Syndicate TOSSES security all around, and MVP even swings his cane!

MVP grabs a mic as he stands over Swerve & Nana. “Guess who’s back in business!” The fans cheer for that at least! Will AEW not know what hit them now that Lashley is here?

My Thoughts:

A great episode of Dynamite here. Not so much “Fright Night” because other than the aesthetics (very good Halloween decorations on the stage), there was nothing Halloween themed about tonight. None of the matches were given Halloween stipulations, and almost no one dressed up for tonight. I do appreciate Jamie Hayter being Daphne Blake from Scooby-Doo. And she had a good promo with Penelope but it added nothing new. Their match next week will be really good but unless Penelope cheats, Hayter is gonna win. Good promo from Patriarchy to call out Hook, but honestly, why not just wait until next week to do this same thing in the ring? Filler for sure.

Good promo from Anna Jay but it didn’t add much to the hype on her match with Mariah May. On the flipside, Hangman’s promo warning Jay White was good stuff and is a proper response to White’s promo from last week. That Full Gear match is going to be awesome for sure. Very good stuff with Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis, mostly on getting to see Mark Davis again. Mark calling out Kyle for the usual Heel “call out someone you know can’t respond” move was good, and if Mark’s return match is against Kyle, that’d be pretty big stuff. And if Kyle does look to attack with a screwdriver, that could be a great moment for Ospreay to return and make a save.

Great opening match from Cole VS Buddy, Cole was of course beating Buddy, and the bad ankle was a good detail, but I feel like the fans could sense how over the top it was to see Cole “fighting through the pain.” There were a lot more chants for Buddy throughout the match, because to be fair, Buddy does deserve his own chance in the singles division. But what a well done switcheroo with the handshake where Malakai was there when the lights turned on. Cole VS Malakai is going to be awesome, but I hope we see Roddy get going on his three match challenge with Rampage or Collision. As for Cole’s backstage promo, it is also a bit of a patch job on how this story is continuing, but Cole still nailed everything he said anyway.

Very good promo from Mone before Kamille VS Kris, and Kamille VS Kris was a great match. Kris of course wins because she is going to face Mone for the TBS Championship, that is going to be a great match for Full Gear. Very good promo from the Learning Tree trio to tease that perhaps Jericho gets ROH a TV deal, like TruTV or maybe TNT if Rampage disappears. The Conglomeration had a great response, I really like the Fight Without Honor made for next week, that’ll be awesome stuff. I just hope Jericho’s ROH title reign is over sooner rather than later. Jericho can still do stuff in the ring, but I feel like there’s still enough heat from the fans where Jericho would really only annoy everyone who takes the time to watch ROH TV.

Great promo from MVP and Nana to hype up tonight’s main event, and what an awesome main event. Swerve gets a great win, but what a great surprise that Bobby Lashley is finally All Elite. Great brawl to take us to the end, and you could clearly hear someone calling out how many seconds were left. MVP’s closing line was great, this might be one of the better closing moments for a Dynamite this year. Hurt Syndicate continuing where Hurt Business left off is going to be a lot of fun, can’t wait to see Swerve VS Lashley at like Full Gear to then send the winner towards a title.

And of course, great stuff all throughout the night with this ongoing BCC hostile takeover, emphasis on “hostile” tonight. I loved Cassidy interrupting the opening video, which was looking pretty good from what we got. And Cassidy had a great promo that was very serious for Cassidy, yet still very much Orange Cassidy style. Moxley’s response promo was great, and poor Yuta is just being bullied into doing this stuff. Cassidy making the save for Yuta, only for Yuta to not appreciate it, good stuff. After what Yuta said last week, he sure has no choice in this, but the rest of the group might be a little too into what they’re doing. Them crushing Cutler’s fingers was definitely sadistic.

The brawl that ensued was great, and I loved Darby flying in like Sting. It was a little confusing at first seeing something pink drop in but then I remembered Darby’s got that pink hoodie now. Anyway, The Bucks using the brawl of BCC and “Team AEW” to get their tag match started was good stuff, and that title match was PPV level. I still say WrestleDream should’ve been the place Private Party won, but hey, at least Private Party won the titles at all. Great promo with Perry and Garcia, I like that Garcia pretty much had Perry dead to rights until Perry references the dance and the fans being fickle.

And what a great bit of The Elite not just packing in a panic but destroying documents or whatever. As I’ve said, this is very Rated R action movie, and this is like throwing in a corporate/government corruption story to it. The Elite want to hide something from the others before The BCC use it against them and truly take over AEW. And of course The Bucks act like they were right all along. A very “Thanos Was Right” or whatever kind of trope, but still appreciated. We’ve all been wondering for a month or so now if Shane McMahon was going to get in on this story, and I feel like this detail would be the best opening for that.

My Score: 8.9/10
