Nia Jax is here!

The fans boo but the Irresistible Force doesn’t care as she goes to the ring. Nia has a mic and says, “Right now, there’s only one thing on my mind: The Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. I want it. And if you haven’t noticed, I usually get everything that I want. The last time I was in Saudi Arabia, I wanted to become Queen of the Ring, and I did. At SummerSlam, I wanted to become WWE Women’s Champion. And I did! Anything and everything that gets in my way gets A-Nia-Lated. Which is exactly what’s gonna happen to that insufferable Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel.

“I will be walking out the first-ever Women’s Crown Jewel Champion, and Liv will be crying on the floor with her disgusting, dirty little-” Wait, Liv interrupts! Or rather, Raquel Rodriguez leads the way for Liv and Dirty Dom. The fans boo more, but Liv tells Nia, “You keep bragging about your accomplishments like you’re special, but you’re not.” Liv also walked out of King & Queen of the Ring successfully, by retiring Becky Lynch to become the GREATEST Women’s World Champion of all time! All thanks to a little help from the most gorgeous man in the entire world, “Daddy” Dominik Mysterio!

The fans really boo now, but Liv says that was just months before SummerSlam. Liv’s held her title longer, so she knows what it takes to become Crown Jewel Champion. And also, if Liv’s memory serves right, she also knows what it takes to beat Nia, too. Last time they fought, Liv won! So if Liv was Nia, she’d stop dreaming now. If anyone’s becoming the first Women’s Crown Jewel Champion, it’s Liv. But then “It’s Tiffy Time!” Tiffany Stratton struts her way out, holding her Money in the Bank briefcase up. Tiff says they can argue all they want, because at Crown Jewel, it’ll be Tiffy Time~! She is taking her briefcase to cash in and become the NEW Women’s World Championship!

The fans cheer and Nia is at least pleased to hear that. She says that’s right, Liv! Liv doesn’t have just Nia to worry about, Liv has- Tiff stops Nia there. Don’t get too comfortable, Nia, Tiff could still cash in on you, too. Excuse me!? Liv says this is great! Nia has to worry about Tiff and Liv! Liv at least has people around her she can trust. Oh, Liv, don’t you get too excited. Because Tiff hasn’t even made up her mind. Plus, they’re both starting to piss Tiff off, so here’s what’s gonna happen! At Crown Jewel, Tiff cashes in, and she’s taking home one of their titles. But hey, there is one thing that could help her make a decision faster…

If Tiff takes Liv’s title, does that mean Dom comes with it? Tiff could use a little dirty in her life. Dom shakes his head, and Liv tells Tiff that it seems that she already has enough dirty in her life. Tiff DECKS Liv! Liv falls out of the ring, Raquel & Dom shield her, and Tiff says Liv is nothing without them! Liv says get a ref, she wants to fight! Will Tiff look to soften Liv up for Nia before Crown Jewel? Or is Tiff doing this all for herself for once?

Tiffany Stratton w/ Nia Jax VS Liv Morgan w/ Dominik Mysterio & Raquel Rodriguez!

SmackDown returns and the fight is on! Liv rains down fists but the ref reprimands. Liv drags Tiff up to TOSS her out! Liv goes out after Tiff to THROW her into barriers! Tiff gets up to BOOT Liv down! Tiff pie faces then rains down fists! Liv has the ropes, Tiff lets off, but Tiff kicks Liv again. Tiff THROWS Liv down, then goes corner to corner. Handspring but Liv dodges! Liv SHOTGUNS Tiff, then runs up to BACK BODY BLCOK!

Nia says it IS Tiffy Time, and Tiff says Liv is NOTHING without Dom! Tiff CLUBS Dom, fireman’s carries, but Liv fights free to a CODE BREAKER! Cover, TWO! Tiff stays in this, Liv glares at Nia and they talk trash. Liv runs up, O- NO! Tiff holds ropes to stomp the flatliner, and she TIFFY STOMPS! Nia distracts and slides the briefcase to Tiff! Tiff aims but Liv ducks the cheap shot! Roll up, with tights, Liv wins!

Winner: Liv Morgan, by pinfall

Liv cheats the cheaters, but Nia storms in! Liv DROPKICKS Nia in the ropes, then SMACKS Tiff with own briefcase! But then Nia grabs Liv to HEADBUTT her down! And Nia SMACKS Raquel! And she SMACKS Dom! And SMACK to Liv again! Nia goes up, and up, and A-NIA-LATOR!! Nia sits on Liv like Yokozuna, and then regroups with Tiff. Will nothing stop Nia from taking the Crown Jewel Championship? Will Tiff still stand up to her using the MITB briefcase?

Kevin Owens speaks.

“Randy… I’ve been trying to call you all week. You just won’t answer, so I’m sending this video to WWE in hopes that you will actually see it and listen, because I really need you to hear me. I don’t wanna do this. I don’t wanna fight you. I’ve looked up to you for so long. I still do now, actually. I just don’t understand why you’re making me do this. And I need you to remember something: I really never wanted to hurt you. Now I’m going to. Crown Jewel, I’m gonna hurt you like you hurt me, and it’s your fault, because you did this. You did this to us. I’ll see you Saturday, buddy.” The Prizefighter has spoken, but will he really be that reluctant to tear down The Apex Predator?

The Street Profits w/ B Fab VS Pretty Deadly!

While neither of these teams got to go after the WWE Tag Team Champions, the chase is never-ending. Will Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins show the Profits are still up? Or will Elton Prince & Kit Wilson say #YESBOY to a big rebound win?

SmackDown returns and Pretty Deadly makes their entrance. And they are trying to pitch their musical to Lin-Manuel Miranda as he sits at ringside. LMM politely accepts their playbill and CD, but then signals to the camera that it’s a no already. But then Pretty Deadly ATTACK Th ePHrofits! The fans boo as Elton drags Dawkinso ut and Kit stomps away on Ford. Kit KNEES Ford, Ford ends up in the Pretty Deadly corner, and Kit runs up to ELBOW! B-Fab YANKS Elton down! And she scoops Elton to SLAM her! The fans fire up, and then Dawkins ROCKS Kit! Dawkins lifts Kit, Ford tags in! Ford goes up, BLOCKBUTER DOOMSDAY!! Cover, Profits win!

Winners: The Street Profits, by pinfall

Pretty Deadly tried to write their happy ending, but B-Fab flips the script! Will The Profits be the one with a second act in the tag title picture?

Nia and Tiff regroup backstage.

Nia is confused. Tiff thought she was gonna cash in on Nia? No, no, Tiff just wanted Liv to think Tiff might cash in on Nia. It is all just part of the plan. Okay, fine, just- Bayley & Naomi walk in chuckling. How smart, Tiff. Is that lump on her head part of the plan? Nia asks, “Can we help you?” Naomi says yeah. Keep the title warm for her. Then talk to the hand, Tiff. The Glow & The Role Model head out, ready to face Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell. Will Bayley & Naomi find the way to build momentum towards a title match with Nia?

Bayley & Naomi VS Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell!

SmackDown returns as Naomi makes her entrance, followed by Bayley. Then The Poison Pixie & #IndiWrestling make their entrance and the teams sort out. The Way doesn’t even care, they just attack! Candice & Indi stomp Naomi out, and then Indi drags Bayley up. Indi CLUBS Bayley, looms over her, then CLUBS her again. The fans rally for Bayley but Indi talks trash. Bayley fires forearms and haymakers! Indi blocks a kick, throws Bayley down, then CLUBS Bayley! Indi DECKS Bayley, then shakes out her hand. Indi stomps Bayley, stomps again and again, but Bayley goes to ropes. The ref reprimands but Indi grins.

Indi drags Bayley into ropes, UPPERCUTS, then tags Candice before a BOOT! Bayley flops down, and Candice goes up to springboard CROSSBODY! Candice smiles and says, “That’s what you get. This is your Role Model right here.” The Way is on top, but SmackDown goes to break.

The Poison Pixie may be the Women’s Speed Champion, but that one came at her fast! Will Naomi keep this “glow-mentum” going until she’s once again WWE Women’s Champion?

Roman Reigns is here!

The fans cheer The OTC as he walks out, accompanied by #BigJim Uso. The pyro goes off as Roman raises the one, but we already know that he, Jimmy and Jey Uso will be in a big Six Man Tag match against Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline. Roman & Jimmy go to the ring, and the fans chant “O T C! O T C!” Jimmy has the mic to say he and The OTC are now in your city! Can he keep it 100 with y’all, though? The fans chant, “YEET! YEET! YEET!” And Jimmy tells Big Uce, HIS Tribal Chief, that stronger together is what he would always say. And from the looks of it, they’re not solid even one bit. Roman knows Jimmy loves him, so just hear him out.

The fans already “YEET! YEET! YEET!” and Jimmy wants Roman to just drop the beef with Jey. Jimmy made up with his brother. The fans chant, “Squash The Beef! Squash The Beef!” Jimmy asks Roman, and says he needs Roman, to squash it. Jimmy made up with Jey, so now is time for Roman to make up with him. To make good with their brother! Because if they don’t get right, if they’re not strong like they can be, they will lose to Solo Sikoa and his Bloodline. So just listen, please. Jimmy is just trying to say- Roman holds out his hand for the mic. Jimmy sighs and hands the mic over.

But then here comes Jey! The fans fire up and bounce along as Main Event Jey comes in from the crowd! Jey makes his way to ringside, Roman watching him closely. Jey stands on the corner and the fans bounce along again. Jey then steps inside the ring, grabs a mic, and the fans still sing along, “It’s Just Me, Uce! Day One Ish!” Then the “YEET! YEET! YEET!” returns. Jey paces, but he and Roman lock eyes. The fans again chant, “Squash The Beef!” and Jey takes off the sunglasses. Jey says, “Let’s get one thing clear, Uce. This match… This fight… I only took it to get back at Solo. Because he cost me my championship, and he messing with the family.”

Jey says this here, though, the three of then, it ain’t all the way fixed yet. If he could be honest, Uce, it is taking all he can to even be standing with Roman side by side. Cuz Jey remembers, ain’t forget, what Roman did to Jey, and how he did Jey. Physical damage, emotional damage, mental damage, but Jey still showed up because that is what family does. The fans cheer that! But the ones before them and the ones after them, these three have to show that family is above all. But this round, Uce, Roman won’t be telling Jey what to do, how to do it. He is not a lackey, Uce. He is not the Right Hand no more, Uce. Jey is Roman’s equal now!

The fans really fire up for that! Jey says yeah, all three of them are equals now. Side by side, and they’ll run this like they used to do back in the day. Roman, Jey is telling you right now… If Roman even speaks or treats Jey with the slightest disrespect, he is gone, he is out. And if Roman doesn’t like that, then he can walk, too. Or… Roman can act like a cousin and not like a chief, and they’ll see each other tomorrow. They can do this together. What does Roman say? They gonna do the damn thing or no? Roman takes the mic back from Jimmy, and the fans chant for “O T C! O T C!” Roman shakes his head as he looks down at the mat.

Roman finally speaks, and he says, “YEET!” The fans cheer and Jimmy is all fired up! The fans then chant, “Hug It Out! Hug It Out!” Jimmy raises the one, the fans join in, and then Jey raises the one! The fans fire up and keep the fingers high, because then Roman raises the one! They are united again, and feel even stronger than before! But then will the Original Bloodline be able to bring down Solo and his renegades?

Backstage interview with Motor City Machine Guns.

Byron Saxton is with the NEW WWE Tag Team Champions and asks them about their goals for the SmackDown Tag Division. Chris Sabin says their goal is the same as the one when he and Alex Shelley started this team way back in 2006. That is to be the best damn tag team in- A-Town Down Under walks over and Austin Theory says, “Look what got over here, Grayson. The new tag team champions!” Waller says they know everything MCMG has down even before WWE, and now they’re the champs. And when you’re the champs, you gotta be on a pedestal. Biggest stage, brightest lights, and the best talk show in WWE.

They’re gonna be on Miz TV? Waller laughs that off and says Shelley is new here, but there’s no Miz. He was talking about his show, The Grayson Waller Effect. And what better thing to do than next week, have MCMG on the show. Shelley says sure, see you then. But will MCMG make sure ATDU don’t get to pull any cheap shots on them, both verbally and physically?

The Evil Genius proves she’s just that by waiting out the chaos! Will we see this happen all over again tomorrow? Or will this loss help The StrongEST Duo be ready for anything?

Cody Rhodes laces up the boots,

Randy Orton walks in and asks if Cody’s ready to go. Cody says yes, he’s ready for tonight, and for Crown Jewel. Cody knows Orton has Kevin Owens, but Cody simply asks that Orton leave a little something of KO left for Cody. Orton says that’s the thing, he isn’t sure there will be anything left. Sorry ahead of time. If that’s the case, then Cody isn’t sure what he’ll do. Orton says he’ll think of something. See you out there. Orton heads to gorilla first, but will he and The American Nightmare deal with Imperium before worrying about Crown Jewel? Or will Der Ring General and his lieutenant, Ludwig Kaiser, stand tall even before tomorrow?

SmackDown hears from Andrade, Carmelo Hayes, and LA Knight.

El Idolo says, “LA Knight. Melo. All of you, are in my way. But I feel tranquilo. Because at Crown Jewel, I have the opportunity to beat both of you at the same time, and become the new champion of the United States.” As for H1M, he says, “I can’t think of a better place to become THE United States Champion than in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Now that I think about it, maybe I pin Andrade. Or maybe I pin LA Knight. Or maybe I pin them both because honestly, I’m really like that. LA Knight, you’re gonna pay for taking away my Game 7 moment. You know why? Because I am… HIM. Oh, and Andrade, make sure to put extra ketchup with those fries.”

The Mega Star says we’re talking about two guys coming into this thing, Knight understands that the deck is stacked against him. Doesn’t make a difference to him. As far as he’s concerned, Andrade and Melo got exactly what was coming to them. Does he regret what he did? NAH-NAH! He dropped each of ’em on their head, and that’s how it’ll go at Crown Jewel, #AndStill your United States Champion, YEAH! But in a Triple Threat, will the numbers spell disaster for LA Knight in Saudi Arabia?

Solo Sikoa speaks.

“I can’t believe that I’m sitting right here, talking about a match against Roman and my two brothers. The three men that have one thing in common, and that’s believing that I’m the bad guy. I’m the bad guy? How? Because I went and found family that loved me? That would never hurt me? That would never let me down? Unlike you three. I’m the bad guy because Lil’ Brother made Tribal Chief and the older brothers didn’t? I’m the bad guy because every time Roman needed help, I was always there to help him, but he was never there to help me. I’m the bad guy? No. I’m the Tribal Chief. Come Crown Jewel, the three of you will respect them.

“And you will… ACKNOWLEDGE ME.” Solo has spoken, but will he, Tama Tonga & Jacob Fatu make Roman, Jimmy & Jey bow the knee?

Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton VS Imperium!

The American Nightmare and Der Ring General will battle as champion VS champion to become the inaugural Men’s Crown Jewel Champion, but perhaps to Gunther’s point, there is a lot of collateral damage in Cody’s wake. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens fight it out tomorrow, as well, but will the legacy stay intact? Or will this be where everything starts to fall apart for “The Quarterback of the WWE?”

SmackDown returns again and Orton makes his entrance, followed by Cody. The fans sing along with both songs, “WHOA~ OH~!” The pyro goes off, Cody high-fives fans as he goes down the ramp, even signs autographs and gives hugs, then joins Randy in the ring. Cody climbs the corner because we gotta get the second “WHOA~ OH~!” and round of pyro. The teams then sort out, and Gunther starts against Cody. Orton hangs Kaiser out to dry and lets him fling right off the ropes! Orton then grabs Kaiser’s legs, to STMOP him in the gut! Orton stomps Kaiser’s leg, then his hand. It’s been a minute since we’ve seen Orton pick apart someone like this, but then Orton tags Cody.

Orton wrenches Kaiser, brings him around, and Cody AX HANDLES the arm! Cody fires forearm son Kaiser, whips him to a corner, but Kaiser reverses. Kaiser runs up to UPPERCUT! And GAMANGIRI! Kaiser stands Cody up to ROCK with a haymaker! Cody staggers, Kaiser brings him around, but Cody RAMS him into the corner! Cody CHOPS Kaiser, then bumps him off buckles. Tag to Orton, and Orton scoops. Orton hits a FALL AWAY SLAM! Gunther is upset, but the ref has him stay back. Orton stomps Kaiser on the leg, then he tags in Cody. Orton clamps onto Kaiser, and Cody gets some stomps in.

Kaiser clamps onto Cody with a COBRA TWIST! Cody endures, the fans rally up, and Cody powers up! Cody pries free to HIP TOSS Kaiser away! Kaiser comes right back, but Cody TOSESS him! Gunther is annoyed with Kaiser again, but Kaiser hurries back in. Kaiser back suplexes, Cody lands out, and DOUBLE LARIATS take both men down! The fans rally up again as Cody and Kaiser crawl. Hot tag to Orton! Orton rallies on Kaiser with LARIAT after LARIAT!

Kaiser swings, misses, and Orton SNAP POWERSLAMS! The fans fire up and Orton drags Kaiser up. But Kaiser knees low! Tag to Gunther, and he goes around the outside. Orton still kicks Kaiser, puts him in the ropes, but the ref counts. Gunther CHOPS Orton! So Orton KICKS Gunther! Orton has Gunther in ropes, DRAPING DDT! The fans fire up and Orton hears those voices! Gunther slowly rises, RK- NO, Gunther SLAMS Orton! Both men are down and the fans rally up. Gunther crawls, hot tag to Kaiser! Hot tag to Cody! Cody fires hands on Kaiser, then JABS, JABS, JABS! Flip, flop, fly, BIONIC ELBOW!

Cody goes up and up to SUPER CODY CUTTER!! Kaiser flops over and Cody roars! Cody dragon sleepers, but he has to duck Gunther! Orton is in, RKO for Gunther!! CROSS RHODES for Kaiser!! Cover, Cody & Orton win!

Winners: Cody Rhodes & Randy Orton, by pinfall

Imperium loses to the legacy of Rhodes & Orton, but then Kevin Owens slides in! We didn’t even know he was here! Kevin SMACKS Orton down with a chair! Cody realizes what happens, hops off the corner, but Gunther snatches him with a SLEEPER!! The ref reprimands but there’s no stopping Gunther now! Kevin just looms over Orton while Gunther fights off security while still squeeze Cody’s neck! Gunther drops back into body scissors! Cody flails in a panic, and Nick Aldis tells Gunther to let go! Gunther refuses, and Cody is grasping for ropes, but he’s also fading! SmackDown has to wrap, but will this be how the story goes at Crown Jewel?

My Thoughts:

A very good episode for SmackDown, especially when you consider this was prerecorded. Though, to that point, it makes for an awkward situation with Indi Hartwell. Only three releases were made today, but she was one of them, alongside Baron Corbin and Tegan Nox. So Indi didn’t know until today that last week was her last match. A real shame, too, as it felt like she and Candice were finally being given a chance on main roster. Like I said before, Indi and Candice could’ve been the tag team in a faction with Nia, but I guess they’re only concerned about who could replace Tiffany as the main sidekick.

Because after all, we got a pretty good promo from Tiffany, Nia and Liv to tease Tiffy turning on Nia. Tiffy claims it was a scheme to lure Liv into a false sense of security, but if the opportunity presents itself, maybe Tiffy will try and take down Nia. At the same time, Rhea Ripley is now out with injury, so she can’t exactly feud with Liv. Maybe Tiff cashes in on Liv after all, she gets away from Nia by going to Raw, and Tiff feuds with Liv in Rhea’s place. They did test the waters a couple weeks ago in Tiff & Rhea teaming against Liv & Raquel, and it seems no matter what, fans really like Tiffy Time, so what’s there to stop the move?

Great Fatal 4 Way singles match tonight, great win for Iyo, but that makes me think DMG CTRL is NOT winning the titles back so soon. Go-home math puts it as either Bianca & Jade retaining or another of the teams taking the titles. And of those teams, I’m a bit torn. Lash & Jakara may be from NXT, but that may not be for much longer if they get called up. They could get those belts as a huge surprise, and return to NXT triumphantly before saying their goodbyes. Good promo from Andrade, Melo and Knight, and while the promo doesn’t really add anything, Knight got a brand new custom strap on the US Championship. They’re not gonna make that and then have someone else win so soon. Knight makes it through Crown Jewel, and then maybe someone else takes the title in a month or two.

Great tag match from Profits VS Pretty Deadly, and a great win for Profits. It feels like they’ll be building back up to the titles, but the next opportunity might go to A-Town Down Under. Theory & Waller get on MCMG’s case for being an old team yet new to WWE, and they’re going to put them on their talk show. Shelley & Sabin will get a solid first defense from former tag champs, and this could even add to the break-up of ATDU. Or rather, it needs to, because that story has been a slow burn for a little too long. Gotta do something with it before it burns out and no one cares anymore.

Great stuff again with The Bloodline story, because for one, Jey puts it to Roman that this needs to be a family, not a dictatorship, and Roman accepts that. This moment was one that I think leaked most of all because fans were just too excited not to show these three standing together, but it was also one we all kinda knew was happening. Solo had a very good promo in response, because he really does have a point about Roman not helping anyone else when they were all helping him. A shame that it’s Solo, Tama & Jacob stepping up, though. I guess Loa is good enough to be tag team champion, but not enough to be in a PLE match. At the same time, Solo being in the mix does make us wonder who is really winning. There’s still that scene with Sami from Monday, maybe there’s a swerve on that.

And very good stuff with the build to Cody VS Gunther, as well as the overall Cody Rhodes story. Kevin had a good promo, he also effectively uses the “I’m not the bad guy here” trope like Solo. Great match for the main event, Cody & Orton of course win with Kaiser taking the loss, but the math gets muddy with Kevin going after Orton and Gunther still getting Cody with that sleeper. The math could say Orton wins, but if Kevin’s this new vicious Kevin, he might resort to anything to win. But Gunther, I don’t know, I thought he was going to win the Crown Jewel Championship, but now maybe Cody triumphs as the underdog hero.

Also, turns out the winners tomorrow don’t get the belt, they get a diamond ring like Super Bowl winners. I’m not surprised or upset that this would happen with the giant, gaudy belts Saudi Arabia made for WWE, but I am disappointed. This is the same as the Greatest Royal Rumble Championship, except we never got to acknowledge Braun Strowman won that on Raw or SmackDown. And given we’re talking diamond rings people get to show off, I feel like Heels can use those best. See: MJF in AEW.

My Score: 8.8/10

Andrew’s TNA LIVE! iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 2.20.2025

So the first live episode got fairly positive praise from everyone; will this continue the trend?

Published

on

Filming at Full Sail seems to have set the stage nicely this week! Going into a Live episode we got Moose and The Hardy Boyz on NXT, as well as Jordynne Grace’s involvement with Steph and Giulia giving a little shine to TNA happenings since she’s newly WWE.

This episode should be interesting, we finally see Lei Ying Lee (fka Xia Li) back in action, Rascalz take on Tyson and Tyriek, Tessa should be seeing some action as well…so generally interesting happenings for the second Live iMPACT! of 2025. Let’s see how this one goes down!

Ratings:

  • Tyson & Tyriek w/Wes Lee vs The Rascalz w/Ace Austin: Rascalz win via Meteora/Swanton Combo – ***
  • Lei Ying Lee vs Rosemary: Lei wins via Thunderstruck – **
  • NoDQ Match: Leon Slater vs JDC: Dango wins via The System help – ** 3/4
  • Masha Slamovich vs Mila Moore: Masha wins via Requiem – N/A
  • Elijah & Joe Hendry vs The Colons: Elijah wins via Tombstone Piledriver – *** 1/4

Results:

Oh yeah, and another Hendry concert is…cut off by a commercial, LOLTNA. First Hendry is cut off by AXSTV’s new Anime Hour bumper, and now Primo and Epico are showing up in TNA. I definitely didn’t have this on my BINGO card. The crowd starts chanting “Where’s Carlito”, which they do acknowledge and play off of well. Oh they’re using their shoot names of Orlando and Eddie now…but before they attack the lights go out and we get another guitar strum! ELIAH/ELIAS/EZEKIEL/EBENERZER/EMERY/EL VAGABUNDO – shows up to back up Hendry. Okay I can apologize away the redundant concert since it played into an Elijah debut. The crowd is immediately popping and chanting “This is Awesome” 10 minutes into the show.

Tyson & Tyriek w/Wes Lee vs The Rascalz w/Ace Austin

Treehouse bros take it to the bigger men quickly, a few fast dives, a little MCMG style tandem strikes, Tyson fires and tries to take them out but they Low Bridge him. Tyriek comes in and they try similar things but Tyriek manhandles them both and throws them out of the ring, Trey is the first one back up and Tyriek and Tyson take his damn head off with his Corkscrew Running Euro Upper. Trey finally manages to flip out of the manhandle, tags in Wentz and Wentz goes for the hot and spicy cleaning house spot. Corner to Corner Knee Lifts for both big men, a Rolling Snapmare, into a Superkick for Tyson and Standing Shoot Star on Tyriek but only for two because Wes feints like he’s going to interfere.

Tyson and Tyriek pull off a tandem Assisted Backdrop Driver, but Wentz breaks it up, Tyson gets knocked out, Wentz hits the Tornillo, Wes tries to interfere again after Trey gets perched on the corner buckle but Ace runs around and trips Wes at the last second causing him to faceplant on the apron, Trey hits the Meteora, Wentz hits a Swanton from the other side of the ring and Trey gets the pinfall victory.

It was fast paced, all gas no brakes, but it didn’t overstay its welcome, so it was pretty fun all things considered.

After the match Wes grabs a mic, complains a little but challenges them to a 6 man match as Sacrifice. So we’re THAT’S where we’re getting the expected 3v3.

Fir$t Cla$$ comes out with an entourage of hot chicks and probably influencers or something. The “First Class Penthouse” , Gabby AF, Mafiosa Valentina, and Carolina are apparently known in their own way. Gabby I know was the awful one who did something for Impact a last year and sucked, but she’s part of the Busted Open Network I believe so that’s why she’s around. Two of them look like Noelle Foley and Frank the Clown…oh they actually are. Look at that. I do love KC Navarro as the Hype Man, they have this whole set up of AJ being mad that they haven’t gotten more Tag Title shots, so TNA placated him with his own Piper’s Pit and he’s *pregnant pause* totally happy with that. He says he loved Piper and hated Hogan before it was cool.

This is actually quality content and AJ is cutting a nice promo in this segment. They introduce their first guest, the greatest performer in TNA history, many whole say he’s Phenomenal with a whole lot of style….it’s A-J-Francis.

Lei Ying Lee vs Rosemary

Things were slow until Rosemary took her into a corner quickly, hit the Upside Down, and we get a lot of Lei trying to avoid Rosemary’s offense. Rosemary goes for a Spear in the corner and Lei forward rolls, starts connecting with a bunch of right hands, backs Rosemary into the corner, goes for 10 Count Punches, pulls her out, Airplane Spin TKO for only a two count. Rosemary tries As Above So Below, Lei shrugs it off, Rosemary tries to go after Lei anyway and eats Thunderstruck! Lei Ying Lee wins!

After the match Rosemary catches Lei on the ramp and hits the Green mist in the eyes. Match was far too short and so many of Lei’s set up moves look better than her finish. We’ve seen Kofi Kingston do it for years so it’s not bad, just the current Knockouts Division are awful and don’t take the move well.

Eric Young and the jabronis come out, EY cuts a very basic power crazed psycho kind of promo, gets the “What” chants from the crowds. EY is trying to recruit Maclin even though Maclin made his line in the sand last week. EY tries to spin it as maybe he took out Josh FOR Maclin instead of in spite of his trust. This really doesn’t seem interesting at all, but that’s probably because I hate the two Jabronis EY is with.

NoDQ Match: Leon Slater vs JDC

I really don’t have any interest in Slater. He’s got no personality beyond “flippy guy with a British accent”.

Dango immediately powders, grabs a chair and goes to swing on him but misses. So Leon is making JDC look dumb by dodging the post chop, using the chair to shield himself from a punch by JDC, and then clapping Dango’s fingers between the chair. So typical System match, look inept for the first few minutes, then take advantage of something to take over. Oh look, Leon takes too long setting up the table, Dango gets in a few pot shots, tries to whip him into the table but Leon leaps over it, and then leaps back over to clobber Dango. Dango is still trying to recover so Leon hits his over the corner post con hilo, and the crowd appreciates it but I’m not interested. Leon panders to the crowd after the big spot and then eats an X-Plex into the chair from Dango.

JDC throws Leon back in, goes for a pinfall that’s only a two and we cut to a commercial. Coming out of the commercial JDC is in control with a Kendo Stick until he isn’t, Leon counters and takes the keno stick, brutalizes Dango a few times then comes off the ropes with the kendo shot for 2. Leon goes for another table, and again, at least the crowd is receptive to this match. Leon sets it up, looks for something off the apron but Dango stops him first until he eats a dropkick to fall onto the table, Leon hits the Swanton 450 through the table on the outside. Does it look cool? Sure. Do I care about dumbass moves? Nope.

Oh thankfully the rest of The System comes out to stop the pinfall, Shield Bomb Leon through the first table, and roll him back in for Dango to win.

The Hardy Boyz come out to try and make the save, but the numbers are against them, so Oba Femi’s music hits! Oba cleans house but doesn’t get his hands on Moose, so they’re at least building the eventual clash between Moose and Oba.

The crowd starts a “Tessa, we comin for you” chant before she even starts talking. Tessa is actually playing off the crowd well, Santino’s music hits and Tessa thinks he’ll help her out with the crowd and Santino calls bullshit basically. Santino says if Tessa doesn’t wrestle next week, she’s fired and Masha’s music hits. Masha decides to step in for Tessa’s enhancement talent match.

Masha Slamovich vs Mila Moore

Jobber tries to attack Masha early but Masha stops her, rocks her and Requiem ends the match.

Masha stares down Tessa, and then Cora Jade attacks from behind and hits Jaded.

Ryan Nemeth comes out to his Abyss music remix. What will Mokuba say today? “MYYYY BIIIGG BBRROOOOTTHHHEEEEER” he repeats at least 4 times and it’s hilariously cringe. He announces that Nic will return at Sacrifice, he literally just came out to give a PSA.

Elijah & Joe Hendry vs The Colons

Hendry starts with Eddie, after a brief tie up it seems like Hendry reads the room and points at Elijah and the crowd wants him in. So Joe tags in Elijah, a little back and forth, Shoulder Tackle from Elijah, Rope Walk with Elijah lays out Eddie and a tag to Joe allows for a quick tandem knockdown, but Eddie powders as the Walking and Talking Duo hold the ring going into the final commercial break.

We come back and Hendry is bouncing Orlando off the ropes as he return a strike, but Orlando is obviously losing, eats a Euro Upper, and then gets walked around in the Stalling Suplex for posterity. Eddie tries a sneak attack but gets caught and Sack of Shit, into Kip Up, turn and then Orlando with the ambush! A few quick short cuts and an Irish Whip/Dropkick combo gives the Colons a near fall. Hendry does get locomotion variation cradles, but eats a Dropkick to stop the attempt at momentum. Orlando stays on Joe, but Joe finally starts to fire up as the crowd starts to get behind him. Euro Uppers make some space, but a Snapmare says no.

Eddie gets tagged in and a quick Leg Sweep into a Front Chancery keeps Eddie in control. As Joe tries to get back up, Eddie turns it into a Guillotine, but finally the Suplex counter connects for Hendry! Simultaneous tags! Elijah bulls over Orlando, catches a Leap Frogging Orlando with the Manhattan Drop as Orlando retreats to a corner, Stinger Splash into Spinebuster for two.  Elijah tries to keep up the attacks but Orlando finds a few ways to make space, launches himself from the middle rope and eats the Jumping Knee! Eddie breaks up the pinfall, Hendry takes Eddie out and Elijah hits the Tombstone Piledriver for the win!

Overall Score: 6/10

Well there were more live hiccups than the first episode, and this felt both more epic and less epic at the same time. Elijah and the Colons debuting was a nice way to kick things off, Oba Femi showing up for the save was fantastic. There were a few decent matches, but also a lot of really short and rushed matches. Tessa played off the crowd well, but Masha really is useless on the mic. Lei Ying Lee needs to framed stronger, her matches have done nothing to show off her ability. It just proves that the Knockouts don’t know how to sell a kick to the head because they all take it in the shoulder and fall in corny ways.

Viva La Sam could be something fun if the next 3 weeks are just hand cam footage of him being like “I’m Sami Callihan and I’m gonna kick Mance Warner’s ass”, Elegance Clique getting the rematch with a stipulation is nice to see and while I like Fir$t Cla$$, that segment went a little long for a cornball swerve payoff. It’s one thing to placate the Influencer squad especially when we’ve seen Logan Paul and Ishowspeed do so well in WWE…but these are like Z Tier Influencers that no one cares about. These kind of dorks stream on Kick because they aren’t relevant enough for Twitch, not because they chose Kick over it.

So yeah, the low lights were pretty low, and the highs were a little fleeting, but at least they were pretty fun. Not a bad show, just clunky with noticeable issues and Masha shouldn’t be allowed to speak English anymore. She’s such a charisma vacuum when she’s not rambling in Russian.

Fuego Del Sol VS Wheeler Yuta!

Lucha night opens with a hot start as the Fire of the Sun returns to ROH, but so does The Decoder! Will Fuego Del Sol get one up on a former ROH Pure Champion turned current AEW World Trios Champion? Or will Yuta do the Death Riders proud in Houston?

Houston cheers on the Texas star, and Fuego offers the Code of Honor. Yuta reaches out, but then SLAPS Fuego! The fans boo and the bell rings, Yuta slips around to CLUB Fuego down! Yuta mocks the fans cheering on Fuego, then scoops him for a SLAM and SENTON! The fans boo but Yuta brings Fuego up. FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO, but Yuta holds onto the leg! Yuta taunts Fuego, but Fuego kicks at him! Yuta lets go and the fans rally up. Yuta runs up, Fuego ELBOWS him away, then goes up, up and FLYING RANAS! The fans fire up as Fuego then DROPKICKS Yuta down!

Yuta staggers up, Fuego SLAPS him! But Yuta LARIATS in return! The fans boo but Yuta rains down fists! And then stops, to rain down more fists! The fans boo but Yuta soaks that up while he “kicks dirt” on Fuego. Yuta stands Fuego up, CHOPS him, then has him in a corner. Yuta CHOPS Fuego again, the fans boo, but Yuta whips corner to corner hard! Fuego staggers forward, Yuta says they ain’t done yet. Yuta whips Fuego to the corner again, then FLAPJACKS on the rebound! Yuta adds a basement DROPKICK! The fans boo but Yuta soaks up heat. Yuta hits a spinning toehold, then has a DEATHLOCK!

Fuego endures and Yuta mockingly asks if he’ll give up. Fuego refuses to give in, and he SLAPS Yuta! So Yuta bridges and puts on more pressure! Yuta shows off by not even using his hands, but Fuego fights his way to the ROPEBREAK! Yuta lets go at 4, and he reminds the ref, “I have ’til five!” The fans boo Yuta parodying Bryan Danielson, then Yuta kicks Fuego around. Yuta eggs Fuego on, so Fuego ROCKS him! And ROCKS him! And again, and again, and again! But Yuta gets under the big haymaker! Yuta back suplexes, but Fuego lands out! Fuego dodges Yuta to then springboard QUEBRADA! Down goes Yuta!

The fans fire up as Fuego kips up and SUPERKICKS! Yuta sputters, Fuego runs and STEP-UP DOUBLE STOMPS! The fans fire up again as Fuego climbs a corner! Yuta stands, Fuego MISSILE- NO, Yuta gets under and comes back, BUSAIKU KNEE! Cover, Yuta wins!

Winner: Wheeler Yuta, by pinfall

Another thing he took from The American Dragon is that big knee, and Yuta takes the victory. Yuta sits Fuego up, and thinks about Hammer ‘n’ Anvil elbows, but he decides not to. Because he gets an even more sadistic idea! Yuta looks under the ring, and he brings out a steel chain! Yuta threatens the ref, then he goes to Fuego! The fans boo but Yuta hooks Fuego’s legs up, then uses the chain to go up, up and away, ROMERO SPECIAL!! Yuta taunts Fuego but Fuego is coughing up blood! Yuta lets Fuego go, the fans boo, but Yuta mockingly gives the Code of Honor handshake. Yuta no longer has honor, but will someone find a way to humble him?

Rachael Ellering VS Abadon!

The Queen of Strong Smile is feeling good being in Houston, ready to bring that Comet energy. However, she’s up against the Living Dead Girl, who brings a very different vibe. Will Rachael learn why everyone fears Abadon? Or will Rachael’s smile see her through?

The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, but uh, Abadon doesn’t let go. Rachael tries to get free, and now it is a tug-o-war. The fans rally, Rachael reels Abadon into a headlock, but Abadon BITES Rachael’s hand! The ref reprimands, Abadon lets go, and Abadon doesn’t get what’s wrong. Abadon runs up on Rachael but Rachael gets around to waistlock. Abadon switches, but Rachael goes to ropes to buck the O’Conner! Rachael CLOBBERS Abadon, but Abadon sits up! The fans rally, Rachael is frustrated, and then runs up. Abadon gets around, trips Rachael, then runs to basement dropkick! Rachael flounders to a corner and the fans rally again.

Abadon aims from a corner, runs in at Rachael, but Racahel ELBOWS Abadon away! Abadon says nuh-uh, comes back, but runs into a BOOT! Rachael runs and UPPERCUTS Abadon down! The fans fire up and Rachael aims from a corner. Rachael calls for the “SQUISH~!” and runs up, SENTON onto knees! Abadon avoids disaster and stalks Rachael to the apron. Abadon CLUBS Rachael, pushes her onto the apron, and springboards for a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! The fans fire up and Abadon pushes Rachael into the ring. Abadon runs corner to corner for a METEORA! Abadon pushes Rachael to a cover, TWO!

Abadon is annoyed but brushes it off. Abadon drags Rachael up, but Rachael fights the suplex! Rachael wrenches out, trips Abadon, and high stacks, ONE!! Rachael ROCKS Abadon, then tries again. FISHERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up for the “MD Collapse” and Rachael aims again. SQUISH~ SENTON hits! Cover, TWO! Abadon survives and Rachael is a bit surprised. Rachael throws off the headband, double checks her teeth, and the fans duel. Rachael CHOPS Abadon at the ropes, then ROCKS Abadon with a forearm! Rachael whips but Abadon blocks! So Rachel CHOPS again! Rachael whips, Abadon grabs ropes, and laughs!

Rachael runs up, Abadon ELBOWS and CUTTERS! Then BLACK DAHLIA!! Cover, Abadon wins!

Winner: Abadon, by pinfall

Abadon continues to be terrifying, as well as victorious. Will the ROH Women’s Division, and especially the champions, have to watch their backs?

Backstage interview with Jacked Jameson.

Lexy Nair is with the former Iron Savage, and he’s counting his abs. She brings us back to a few weeks ago when he walked up to Griff Garrison, Preston Vance & Cole Karter in hopes of forming a group with them. Then in Jacksonville, Jameson actually interfered in their match on their behalf. The question is, what’s going on here? Jameson says those are his boys! His guys! His dudes! Jameson went out there, helped them, it was huge! It was awesome! Speaking of, the boys walk in! Vance tells Jameson that they’ve heard his offer, they loved what he did in Jacksonville, and tonight is a big match and… They’d love if he was a part of it.

So then, it’s official! They got him some Frat House gear! But first… he has to do something. Yeah, sure! Anything! Vance, Griff & Karter pour all of their drinks into one red Solo cup, and Jameson asks what’s in it. The boys say don’t worry about it. Jameson says don’t have to tell him twice. He chugs the concoction, and he is PUMPED! The Frat House is now four men strong, and Jameson says after tonight, party at the Frat House! Vance tells Jameson that one thing about them: win or lose, they booze! The Frat boys head out, Lexy can finally breathe from whatever was in that cup, and it’s time to see if Jameson passes the test!

12 Man Tag: The Premier Athletes & The Frat House VS Top Flight, The Outrunners & The Von Erichs!

Instead of “Smart” Mark Sterling, Tony Nese has the mic to tell Bobby Cruise to shut up, “no one wants to listen to your stupid voice.” Nese then tells the “fat boys and fat girls” of Houston, Nese & Daivari couldn’t think of a better partner for this match than an athlete that makes every single one of them put to shame! Yes, it’s SMART MARK himself! Wait, seriously? Sterling takes the mic to say that’s right, he is still here to make sure that the losers of Texas can take part in their winning cheer. So please, get this right. When he says, “Athletes,” you say, “Rule!” NOTHING ELSE! Hands in, boys. Ohhh…! “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Gottee!

But with that, Dante & Darius Martin enter, accompanied by Leila Grey. Then Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd enter, and last but not least, Texas’ own, Marshall & Ross Von Erich! The massive teams sort out, and Darius starts against Nese. The fans rally up and Darius circles with Nese. Nese says wait, wait! He knows what the fans are here to see. Nese flexes, but the fans boo. Nese shouts, “ATHLETES!” The fans respond, “SUCK!” Nese and Darius circle, but then Nese kicks low! Nese bumps Darius off buckles, then tags in Daivari. “We’ll show you who sucks!” Nese & Daivari fire hands in the corner while the fans boo.

The ref counts, The Premier Athletes stop, and they both shout, “ATHLETES!” Again, the fans say, “SUCK!” Daivari tags Griff and they mug Darius. Griff ROCKS Darius, has him in a corner, then whips corner to corner. Darius goes up and over, rolls and arm-drags, then he DROPKICKS! The fans cheer, and Darius whips Griff into Dante’s BOOT! Tag to Dante, Darius CHOPS, Dante trips Griff, and Darius adds DOUBLE STMOPS! Griff scrambles, tag to Jameson, but Dante arm-drags Jameson! Dante keeps the armlock, he tags in Ross, and Ross wrenches to a wristlock. Ross YANKS the arm, then tags Marshall.

The Von Erichs double whip Jameson, then Marshall sends Ross in, FLYING BOOT! FLYING LARIAT and then Marshall snapmares Jameson for Ross’s PENALTY KICK! STANDING MOONSAULT and Marshall covers, TWO! Marshall fires the fans up, then hauls Jameson up to headlock. Tag to Truth and he wrenches Jameson. The fans rally but Jameson fires hands! Jameson whips, Daivari gets a cheap shot in, but Truth DECKS Daivari! Only for Vance to CLOBBER Truth! The ref has to keep Truth’s team back, so he missed all that! Jameson stomps Truth, tags Vance, and Vance covers, TWO!

Vance ROCKS Truth, has him in the corner, then CHOPS! Tag to Daivari, he CHOPS Truth, then he tags Nese. The Premier Athletes mug Truth with haymaker after haymaker, but the ref is still too busy keeping Top Flight, Turbo & The Von Erichs back! Nese drags Truth up, and he tags in Sterling!? The fans boo but Sterling gets to throw hands on Truth! “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Sterling drags Truth back, anchors a leg, and tags in Vance. Vance stomps Truth, tags Jameson, and Jameson tags Griff. Vance puts Truth in a corner, Griff sends Jameson in to LARIAT! Vance adds a BOOT, and then Griff BOOTS Truth down! Cover, TWO!

Griff tags Vance back in, they mug Truth, and Vance keeps Truth from the corner. Vance suplexes, covers, TWO! Truth stays in this but Vance stays on him with a chinlock. Truth endures, the fans rally up, and Truth stands. Truth fires body shots, but Vance CLUBS him! Vance whips, Truth ducks ‘n’ dodges, DOUBLE LARIATS take them both down! The fans fire up again as Truth and Vance crawl. Truth pushes past Vance, but Leila has to get out of the way as The Premier Athletes & Frat House all run up! They all YANK Top Flight, Turbo & The Von Erichs off the apron, leaving Truth stranded! But at least Truth’s team fights back!

MXM Collection speaks.

ROH Media found Mansoor & Mason Madden after their loss at ROH Global Wars: Australia, but they still had their remodeled ROH World Tag title belt. As such, they act triumphant and victorious because they “successfully defended” their ROH World Tag Team Championship. Because as you can see, they still have the belt! Shoutout to Dustin Rhodes, he is a great fellow tag team champion, he really tested MXM. But then they ran away with this here title, and there is nothing anyone can say about it! Fingertip touch and MXM heads out, but they do know possession is NOT nine-tenths of the law in ROH, right?

Billie Starkz VS Hyan!

Well, if Kenny Omega uses a One Winged Angel, was that a Two Winged Angel? The bottom line is Billie is back in the win column, but will she ever fight her way out from under Athena’s tyranny?

I’m starting to get real tired of the same questions. Why? I’m just getting started.” When and where will Red Velvet serve up another L fresh from the kitchen?

Will Sammy & Dustin just have to take the fight to MXM to get their stolen property back?

My Thoughts:

A very good ROH clocking in at an hour and 21 minutes, it feels like they’ve almost got this mastered for a good cable TV runtime. Though at the same time, we still had filler in Gates of Agony squashing Exodus & Josiah, and then both women’s matches were fairly quick. Billie squashing Hyan was in part to serve story as we did see Athena tell Billie to take things seriously, and then Billie takes her frustrations out on Hyan. Rachael VS Abadon could’ve been a little longer to build them both up in the standings, but Abadon winning makes sense as Abadon’s gotten closer to titles than Rachael has. And good promo from Velvet, but I’m not sure why we’re waiting so long to get to her and Leyla’s rematch.

Additionally, while that 12 Man Tag was some fun, just smashing together multiple teams for that was bordering on filler. Good to see The Von Erichs back given ROH was in Texas. And between The Von Erichs being in Texas and Sterling being introduced as one of the competitors, it was a given The Von Erichs and their team would win. Though it did work that The Outrunners got the finish, they’re the team riding high right now. I will say it’s good that “The Frat House” is a faction, but like, can’t the name have just be The Fraternity? Or like, Greek letters that make a fraternity name, but also is a funny pun when you boil it down to letters.

But of course, great stuff throughout the night involving luchadores. Fuego Del Sol VS Yuta was a very good opening match, but I figured Yuta would win that. Him going the extra mile with that steel chain was rather vicious, I feel like Fuego should want payback, teaming with some other AEW wrestlers who have beef with the Death Riders. Komander VS Lee was a very good ROH TV Championship match, but given this wasn’t the main event, I figured Komander would retain. Maybe EJ gets his shot next?

And then a very good Six Man main event. The lucha rules made it constant motion because there was no need for tags, and apparently the ref didn’t need to count when Hechi’s team was in there together. MXM getting involved makes sense, as they’re still not happy just possessing the tag title. They screwed Sammy over, Hechi’s team wins, but then Sammy’s side stands tall over MXM. I would think we do get Sons of Texas VS MXM one more time, who knows how that goes, but it’ll be a lot of fun either way.

My Score: 8.6/10
