Can the Commander of the Skies overcome being down one to be THE one going for gold?

AEW Continental Classic, Blue League: Kyle Fletcher VS Shelton Benjamin!

The Protostar slayed The Beast Mortos while Mark Briscoe learned why they call Shelton, “The Standard of Excellence.” Will Shelton hold Kyle under that same standard? Or will the Aussie Arrow hit the mark and score another three points?

The bell rings and the 20 minute time limit begins. The fans rally and the two circle. They tie up, are in a deadlock, but Shelton digs in his heels to power Kyle to a corner. The ref counts, Shelton lets off slowly, and Kyle says to back up now. Shelton chuckles and backs away while fans boo Kyle. Kyle and Shelton reset, tie up, and Shelton SHOVES Kyle down! Kyle scrambles to a corner and Shelton grins. The fans chant “FLETCHER SUCKS! FLETCHER SUCKS!” and Shelton chuckles again. The two reset, tie up, and Kyle headlocks. Shelton endures the grind while Kyle talks trash on the fans. Shelton powers up and out to CLOBBER Kyle!

Kyle paces on the apron, shakes his head as the fans continue to cheer on Shelton, and then Kyle steps in. They circle again, feel things out, and Kyle kicks low! Kyle CLUBS away on Shelton, the fans boo, but Kyle has Shelton in a corner! The ref counts as Kyle fires off again and again, but then Kyle lets off to soak up all that heat. Shelton runs up to CLOBBER Kyle! The fans fire up and Kyle bails out! Kyle paces while checking his chin, the fans taunt him more, “Ospreay’s Better!” Shelton holds the ropes open but Kyle refuses the invite.

Kyle goes around the outside while Callis on commentary says Indianapolis doesn’t know quality. Shelton waits on Kyle, and even lounges in the corner! The fans cheer, but Kyle returns the favor. The fans boo but Shelton storms over. Kyle and Shelton reset, feel things out, and knuckle lock. Shelton waistlocks, Kyle grabs ropes, and the ref counts. Shelton lets go slowly, then he CHOPS Kyle on the back! The fans cheer but Callis says that’s very disrespectful! Kyle and Shelton tie up, and Shelton knees low! Shelton ROCKS Kyle, but Kyle fires forearms in return! Shelton shakes his head, ducks a lariat, but Kyle fights the waistlock!

Kyle fires elbows, then runs, but Shelton gets around! Kyle panics as Shelton has the Gotch hold! GOTCH PLEX! Kyle lands pretty high and clutches his head as he sits back up. The fans fire up while Kyle goes to ropes, and Shelton runs up, only for Kyle to dodge! Kyle then LARIATS Shelton and himself up and out of the ring! The ref checks both men on the floor, and they’re both okay to continue, so this match continues while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Kyle rises first, grimacing as he clutches his back, but Shelton also stands. And Shelton ROCKS Kyle first! Kyle CHOPS in return! And CHOPS again! Shelton brushes those off, so Kyle winds up to CHOP! Shelton CHOPS and Kyle goes tumbling! Shelton storms up on Kyle, puts him back in the ring, and then storms up on Kyle. Shelton reels Kyle in to snap suplex! Shelton watches Kyle writhe, then he drags Kyle back up, to TOSS back out! Callis seems to complain while Shelton goes out to pursue Kyle. Shelton BOOTS Kyle down, then he glares at Callis. Callis backs up, he’s just here as commentary. Kyle CLOBBERS Shelton!

Kyle high-fives Callis and then drags Shelton up. Kyle puts Shelton in the ring, then stomps away in the corner! The ref counts but Kyle digs his boots in! The ref counts more, Kyle steps off at 4, and then Kyle flexes to soak up heat. Shelton sits up and fires body shots! Kyle snapmares Shelton into a chinlock and he grinds Shelton down into the mat! Shelton endures, sits up, but Kyle leans on the hold. Shelton still stands and he hits as BIG back suplex! Both men are down as Dynamite returns to single picture. Kyle runs corner to corner to GAMANGIRI! Then a suplex, but Shelton wrenches out! Kyle blocks a kick, but not the DRAGON WHIP! The fans fire up again while Kyle is dazed! A standing count starts, the fans rally up, and Kyle crawls over. But Shelton reels Kyle in first! Shelton hoists Kyle up to POWERBOMB! High stack, TWO, into a turnover! DEATHLOCK FACELOCK!! The fans are thunderous as Kyle endures and reaches out!

Kyle reaches out, and he finds the ROPEBREAK! Shelton lets go and Callis is confused as to why the fans are booing. Shelton waits on Kyle as he rises up, and then runs back up, but Kyle SUPERKICKS first! And SUPERKICKS again! Kyle hurries up a corner and takes aim, MACHO ELBOW! Cover, TWO!! Shelton survives and Kyle is furious! Kyle pounds the mat, then goes to the corner. Kyle takes aim, runs up again, but Shelton SUPERKICKS!! Callis can’t believe what he just saw, Kyle just ate that foot! Shelton then waistlocks to GERMAN SUPLEX Kyle! And then GERMAN SUPLEX! Indy is now Suplex City and they’re thunderous for it!

Winner: Kyle Fletcher, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Shelton earns 0)

Kyle and Callis scurry away, knowing Kyle just stole that one! Not only did Kyle steal the win and those points, but he’s stolen the lead in Blue League! Will nothing stop The Protostar from becoming THE star of the Continental Classic?

Hook is here!

The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil is in Indianapolis with a mic in hand, and he goes right to the ring. The fans cheer him on as he calls out Nick Wayne. “I heard what you said this past weekend. So you wanna fight me in a couple weeks, in New York City? Well I got a better idea. I’d rather fight your ‘father’ in Hammerstein Ballroom and leave him in a worse condition than my father was left in by you guys!” The fans cheer that! Hook says as for Nick, how about he just come fight Hook right here, right now?! The fans like the sound of that! And here comes The Patriarchy! At least, Christian Cage and Mother Wayne step out on stage.

But that’s because Nick Wayne & Kip Sabian attack from the crowd side! They mug Hook, hold him up, but Hook BOOTS Nick and SAYANAGIS Kip! Then REDRUM for Nick!! The fans fire up but Mother Wayne gets on the apron! Hook throws Nick aside and tells Mama to stay back. But then Christian sneaks in! Hook sees Christian, but then Nick & Kip storm up! The first chair is put under Hook’s arm, and Nick holds up the other! CON-CHAIR-TO onto Hook’s hand!! Hook writhes, clutching his hand, and Christian says Hook needs to focus on what matters. They’ll talk later. The Patriarchy leaves, will Hook still get his revenge with only one good hand?

Backstage interview with Mercedes Mone.

Renee Paquette surprises The CEO, and perhaps annoys her, as Mone tells her that she knows better. No questions until Mone gets to say… “Indianapoliiiiis~! Say hello to your C E O.” Renee says after they spoke on Collision, Kamille was found attacked backstage during Rampage. Does Mone care to comment? Uh, didn’t Mone tell Renee to NOT bring up that name around her? Is Renee obsessed with Kamille? We all know Kamille quit, she is not working for Mone anymore, so Mone is no longer liable for what happens. And she is also not concerned with what happens to Kamille. But what concerns Mone is Anna Jay sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong.

Mone says at Full Gear, she showed the entire world why she is the GREATEST TBS Champion of all time. And tonight, Anna has a match with Penelope Ford, which Mone will be watching very closely. And remember, ladies: There is always a price to pay when you mess with Mone. Will the Queenslayer make it through Mrs. Superbad to go after The Face of TBS?

The Hurt Syndicate regroups backstage.

Montel Vontavious Porter has the cameraman stay on them. MVP is angry at Shelton, and asks him, “What do we do?” Shelton answers, “We hurt people.” MVP asks him again, “What do we do?” “We hurt people.” Then why ain’t Shelton all over his man?! Why was he playing with Kyle, letting him stick around?! That’s NOT what they do! MVP loves Shelton, but he is just disappointed right now. This is not how they do things. MVP leaves, Lashley just shakes his head. A staff member bumps into Shelton, apologizes, but Shelton SHOVES him into the wall! And again, and again! Lashley goes to stop Shelton, security steps in and pulls them both back, but now Lashley throws security!

MVP joins in, and The Hurt Syndicate puts the hurt on everyone! MVP says, “THAT’S what we do!” Will this frustration fuel Shelton to run the rest of the table?

Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal!

Just as Juice Robinson’s injury changed the C2, Komander taking Juice’s place changes the field of this match just a bit. However, the goal is still the same! Brian Cage, Lance Archer, The Butcher, Lio Rush, Action Andretti, both Dante & Darius Martin, Evil Uno, Mark Davis, Rocky Romero, Kyle O’Reilly and Adam Cole BAYBAY all want to take that Dynamite Diamond Ring from MJF, but this is very personal for a few. The final two men in this match move on to Winter is Coming, and the winner of that match faces MJF at Worlds End with the ring on the line. Who survives to be one step closer to facing the Wolf of Wrestling?

Action tries to help out but Cage fights them both off. Archer CHOPS Cole, then laughs as he stands Cole back up.

Archer takes another swing, but Cole dodges! Cole hurries to hoist Archer up, getting a leg up on the ropes! Archer fights Cole off, then spots Lio down nearby. Archer stands on Lio’s leg! Lio flails in pain but Archer doesn’t have to step away! Archer eventually does, and storms over to Rocky. Rocky fires shots, but Archer DECKS him! Action stomps away on Cole, then he goes after Cage. Lio joins in and they mug the ROH World TV Champion with stomps! Cole gets up to stomp both Butcher and Kyle. Cage powers up to push Action over the ropes! Action lands on the apron and clings to the bottom rope but Cage stomps him.

Julia Hart speaks.

“Jamie Hayter~. I see you. Had a comeback of a lifetime. It’s my turn to come back. I want… And show how strong I am. Stronger than you. It’s my turn. I see you~. Jamie Hayter…! I see you. Watch your back. The House Always Wins.” The Princess of the Black Throne has spoken, Hayter is on her hitlist, but will Hayter hit harder?

The Acclaimed meet backstage.

It would seem Billy Gunn has a headache while Anthony Bowens is frustrated, but Max Caster says it is fine, it is fine. Just let him do the talking as The Best Wrestler Alive. Renee Paquette steps in for an interview, but asks if everything’s okay. Caster says yeah, everything’s great, thanks for asking. Daddy Ass says no, everything is NOT alright. They have been sitting the past hour trying to talk Caster out of this match. MVP is so far up Caster’s head, Caster is not thinking straight. What The Acclaimed has built, what they have become, is not by just one person. It’s not just Anthony, it’s not just Caster, and it’s not just Billy.

So yeah, Caster’s the best wrestler alive, and the guys have all the faith in the world in him. BUT Caster is going about this all wrong. Caster says no, c’mon! Billy says Caster isn’t listening to him, Bowens needs to try. Bowens looks Caster in the eyes and says, “You call yourself the Best Wrestler Alive? Go prove it.” Billy’s a bit surprised, but Caster says finally! Thanks for the support! He appreciates all of them being behind him. Hands in, break it down! On three. One, two, three, BEST WRESTLER ALIVE! WOO!

Cater heads out, Billy asks why Bowens is encouraging this. Bowens says nothing, but perhaps this is Bowens teaching Caster a lesson. If Caster gets what he wants, will he also get the humbling he deserves?

Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS Max Caster!

Platinum Max already riled up The Realest with his insults but now he has a diss track on deck! “The Best Wrestler Alive is uncivilized. Swerve, how’d you lose the belt to a crippled guy? Signed a big contract, what you hidin’? I know you stealin’ money like Hunter Biden! Mom’s house burnt down, that’s too bad. She can move in with me, I’ll be your new dad! So step aside, cuz everybody loves The Best Wrestler Alive!” Indy boos but Caster gets on the apron to say, “Swervy Boy, that’s what we call a Mic-” Swerve BOOTS Caster! That’s a drop! Swerve goes out and drags Caster up to THROW him into railing!

The fans fire up and join Nana in on, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Swerve THROWS Caster into more railing, then even more railing! Caster flounders but Swerve puts him in the ring. Caster cheers himself, but HOUSE CALL outta nowhere!! Swerve is fuming as Caster sputters. Caster sits up, HOUSE CALL AGAIN!! The fans are thunderous for Swerve as he aims from the corner. Caster rises and Swerve has a sinister grin on his face. “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” HOUSE CALL!!! Cover, Swerve wins!

Winner: Swerve Strickland, by pinfall

Former AEW World Champion, but still the most dangerous man in AEW! And yet, he’s not satisfied! Nana says it’s up to him, so Swerve goes to a corner. Swerve climbs up, and he has Caster dead to rights! KILL STOMPS!! Will this message get through to the Hurt Syndicate that Swerve’s still gunning for them? Will this get through to Caster that he’s not the Best Wrestler Alive?

MJF speaks.

First, he chuckles. “Oh, this is classic! You kinda deserve it, man. You remember Better Than You Baybay? We were white hot! Everybody in the company was happy! There wasn’t this madness going on! Me with the world title, you standing by my side, it was record breaking, Adam! And then you turned on me. For what? Cuz you thought I was gonna turn on you first? You don’t have any proof of that, man! And look at the butterfly effect that you’ve created for it. Because of your actions, your friend, Roderick Strong’s arm is broken.

“Because of your actions, now you’re gonna have to face your best friend, Kyle O’Reilly, and beat the s*it out of him, just for an opportunity to get your hands on me at Worlds End for my Dynamite Diamond Ring. And to make matters worse, because of you cheating me out of my world title, now Jon Moxley has picked it up and he has taken over All Elite Wrestling, and he rules with an iron fist! People are getting murdered every week, Adam, because of you! And I’m sick of it, Adam Cole. I am sick of you walking around pretending you’re the hero when really, you’re the villain. The jaundice infested villain who must be terminated.

“And you will be, Adam. Because I don’t think you can beat Kyle O’Reilly. In fact, I know you can’t beat him! And that will be proven next week on Dynamite. And for that, you can thank me later.” MJF kisses the diamond ring, but will he still have to kiss that ring goodbye no matter who he faces at Worlds End?

Pac goes back to White, but he glares into the camera. The Bastard is in control while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Moxley tells White not to even think about it! The fans boo but now Marina sits White up for Moxley, and Moxley reels White in, PARADIGM SHIFT!! Moxley tells the Death Riders that it’s time to go. Marina follows Moxley, but here comes HANGMAN!!

The fans fire up as the Blackhat Cowboy stares Moxley down. Moxley has Marina stand down, because he steps to Hangman! Wait, who is this in the hood? They WRAP CABLE AROUND MOXLEY’S NECK!! SURPRISE! IT’S ORANGE CASSIDY!! Freshly Squeezed is squeezing the life outta Moxley! Marina goes after Cassidy, so Hangman goes after Moxley! The fans fire up as Hangman chases Moxley into the ring and beats him down! But Yuta & Pac go after Hangman! Cassidy DUMPS Marina, but Pac TOSSES Hangman! Cassidy ORANGE PUNCHES Yuta!! ORANGE PUNCH for Pac, too!! Moxley staggers up, Cassidy stares him right down!

The fans are thunderous, and ORANGE PUNCH for Moxley!! White joins in! BLADERUNNER!!! Moxley is down, and White tells Moxley what’s what! But now, what unlikely allies as White, Cassidy, and Hangman all stand tall. Cassidy and White say have at it. BUCKSHOT from Hangman to Moxley!! The fans are thunderous for “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Wait, Christian Cage is watching from the stage, title match contract in hand. Will one or all of these men get their shot at Moxley before 2024 is over?

Jamie Hayter speaks.

“Julia, I can’t quite figure you out. But something I do know about you is you like to play these little mind games, don’t you? That doesn’t work for me, mate. I’m more of a face-to-face, or a fist-to-face, type of gal. So what’s this all about anyway? My triumphant return at Wembley~! Everyone and their mothers is pissed off about that, just like you. For whatever reason, I don’t know. I don’t know how many times I have to say this to you and anybody that will listen. I came back to right wrongs. I came back to settle scores. And that has nothing to do with you! I was on the cusp of something great. I could feel it in my bones, feel it in my gut.

“And for that to be ripped away from you, it changes you, man. That’s why this International Women’s Cup means a lot to me. I’m very determined to take it all the way. I’m ready to fight any time, any place. But you can’t fight what you can’t see! So how about this? I come find you. And on your comeback, you’re gonna lay knocked out, on the mat, and the last thing you see… is me.” Hayter hit back already, but will Julia have the heart to face her?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“Hi, guys! It’s Chris Jericho, the King of New York, coming to you live from Hell’s Kitchen in the Bronx with a New York Minute. And as the ROH World Champion, I am so excited about Final Battle happening on December 20th, live from the Hammerstein Ballroom. Get your tickets now, there’s not too many available! And while you’re in Bean Town, come check out the other two shows at the Hammerstein Ballroom on the 21st and 22nd, Christmas Collision and a Dynamite on 34th Street. You don’t wanna miss these shows, it’s gonna be a rock ‘n’ roll party!

“And speaking of a party, don’t forget about All In Texas, live Saturday, July 12th. Tickets are already available in the presale at AEWTIX.com with the general on sale going on Monday, December 9th, at 10 AM Central Standard Time. But if you’re wondering who the Nueve is gonna be facing in Sin City at Final Battle in the Hammerstein Ballroom, I’m gonna give you more information on that on a very special TV Time, live on ROH tomorrow night! You can watch that on WatchROH.com, don’t you dare miss it! And don’t you dare miss me, the King of New York, at the Hammerstein Ballroom in the Big Easy! Thanks, guys! I’m Chris Jericho, and this has been a New York Minute.”

Uh, so all the wrong nicknames aside, will Jericho be telling the truth when he announces who he’s facing for Final Battle?

A small town is on edge.

The sheriff is putting up a wanted poster, but gets spooked by someone calling him. Sorry, he thought this guy was “him. He cut ‘n’ run awhile ago. Rumor has it, he’s coming back to town.” Really? Cuz last this guy saw, “he” was just milling around. The sheriff really thinks “he” will come back around here? Well tell you what, that outlaw returns, this whole town is in trouble. Round these parts, he’s a wanted man. He’s most wanted. Bandido is set to return!! Will the lucha libre outlaw really shake things up when he rides back into AEW?

Anna Jay VS Penelope Ford!

Speaking of comebacks and making the most of opportunities, The Queenslayer has gotten on Mone’s radar, but she wants to get in Mone’s face. Will Anna be the the Star of the Show as she revives a rivalry with Mrs. Superbad? Or will Ford kick her comeback into overdrive?

The bell rings, the two circle, and Anna surprisingly offers a handshake. Ford kicks it away, then shoves Anna! Anna shoves Ford down! Ford gets up, there’s trash talk, and then the forearms fly! Anna slips out the side, ROCKS Ford again, then reels Ford in! But Ford CLAWS Anna’s face!

The ref reprimands but Ford sweeps the leg! Anna falls onto the apron, and Ford slingshot DOUBLE KNEE DROPS! Anna sputters but Ford brings her around. The fans rally up and Ford CHOPS Anna against the railing. Ford then whips, Anna reverses, but Ford blocks to KICK! Anna falls, Ford refreshes the count, and Ford sends Anna into steel steps! Anna falls over and Ford hears the fans want that “One More Time!” Ford says okay, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Ford drags Anna up, and fakes sending Anna into steps to RAM her into the apron! Ford trolls the fans and still does damage. Ford brings Anna around, but Anna puts Ford on the railing! Anna CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS! Ford hits back with forearms, ROCKS Anna, and she whips Anna hard into railing! Ford again refreshes the count, then drags Anna up to send her into the POST! Anna falls over in a daze but Ford brings her back up. Ford puts Anna in the ring, storms up to cover, TWO! Anna stays in this and Ford grows frustrated. Ford drags Anna up to put her on ropes. Ford CHOKES Anna, thrashes around, but lets off as the ref counts.

Ford “apologizes” and storms back up to stand Anna up. Ford snap suplexes Anna, and Anna writhes. Ford drags Anna into a motorcycle stretch and pulls on the arms! Anna endures, even as Ford JAMS her in the back! Anna fights up to her feet, fires body shots, but Ford CLUBS her down! Ford soaks up cheers and jeers while she stalks Anna to a corner. Ford digs her boot in, and she slowly does the splits. The ref counts, Ford stops at 4, but then stomps away on Anna! The ref counts, Anna pushes Ford, but Ford just comes back to bring her up. Ford whips, Anna blocks, and Dynamite returns to single picture.

Ford ROCKS Anna, whips, and then CLUBS Anna in the corner! Ford struts corner to corner and runs back in again, handspring and BACK ELBOW! Ford LICKS Anna’s face! The fans are torn but Ford snapmares Anna down. Ford goes up, up, but Anna trips her up! Ford is stuck up top, and Anna ROCKS her! Anna turns Ford around, DANGEROUS HOOK KICKS, then ICONOCLASM! Anna runs to BASEMENT BLOCKBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Anna is frustrated but she puts Ford in the ropes. HOTSHOT NECKBREAKER! The fans fire up with Anna and she runs, but Ford BOOTS her! Ford runs, but Anna SUPERKICKS!

Ford wobbles, Anna runs up, but Ford goes Matrix! But Anna stops the cutter to QUEENSLAYER!! Ford flails, reaches out, but uses hair to THROW Anna away! Ford runs up to CUTTER! Cover, TWO!! Winner: Anna Jay, by pinfall

A hard fought fight, and in the end it is Anna on top! And she gets herself a mic to call out Mone! She knows Mone was watching, so just come out here now! The music plays and everyone watches the stage. Here comes The CEO! Mone has a mic of her own to tell Anna, “Yeah, I was watching. And lemme get one thing straight. If Kris Statlander, the biggest and the strongest woman on the roster, can’t beat me for this, then what makes you think that you can?” Mone goes to the ring and says people think she’s arrogant! Anna, Mariah must’ve kicked you a little too hard in the head. But Mone likes the confidence.

So if Anna wants her shot at the TBS Championship, then Mone thinks Anna needs to come back in ten years when she’s actually done something in this business! HAHAHAHA! Mone boops Anna on the nose, and Anna asks, “Something like this?” Anna SLAPS Mone!! The fans fire up and Anna eggs Mone on! Mone says okay, and off comes the jewelry! But then Mone looks at her watch and says no, she doesn’t have time for this. Mone leaves, and says this will happen on her time. But then BREAKING NEWS from the office of Tony Khan! It is happening when TK says, and TK says that Dynamite’s Holiday Bash is when and where this happens!

Mone and Anna now have two weeks to prepare for this showdown! Who will get to have some gold for Christmas this year?

Sit-down interview with Mariah May.

Renee Paquette is with The Glamour, and says we’re just one week away from her and Mina Shirakawa fighting for the AEW Women’s World Championship at Winter is Coming. But Renee wants to talk about the issues Mariah has with a woman she claims to still love. Mariah says what about Renee’s issues? Does Renee even have any friends here? Or does she just sit around and poke holes in the lives of people who actually accomplish things? Renee says she’s not doing this, but Mariah stops her from leaving. Mariah admits Renee is right, they don’t have to do this. They don’t have to have someone demand answers like Mariah owes any explanation for how she lives her life.

But as long as Mariah holds this title, anything she does is the right thing to do. So Renee can just sit there and listen. Mariah thinks giving a title shot to her best friend is a pretty generous gesture. Mina wouldn’t be getting one otherwise, as “shaking your tits only gets you so far. You have to go to work sometime.” And Mariah will make Mina work every single second she’s in there with her, because Mariah “believes” in Mina. And when they’re done, they’ll sip all the champagne in the world. Renee speaks up, saying, “This entire women’s division-” But Mariah cuts her off to say, “This entire women’s division is utter sh*t!”

Mariah brings up last week, Thunder Rosa holding up that sign that said, “Women’s Wrestling is Alive and Well.” Women’s Wrestling is dead and buried because Mariah is the one holding the shovel. Wait, Mina storms in, holding a bottle of champagne!! Renee gets outta there and Mariah cowers, expecting a hit! But Mina does NOT hit Mariah. She gives Mariah the bottle, and says, “Do it to my face. Winter is Coming. Make me work!” Mina puts the ball in Mariah’s court, will Mariah have the guts to end her best friend to stay on top?

BREAKING NEWS for Rampage!

Why wait for more C2 round two action? Friday night will see Daniel Garcia VS The Beast Mortos, Kazuchika Okada VS Mark Briscoe, and Ricochet VS Komander! Everyone here is looking for a win, who gets those crucial three points?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

The Continental Classic is building up even more speed as Saturday will mark some round three match-ups! Kazuchika Okada will take on Kyle Fletcher, Mark Briscoe takes on Daniel Garcia, and Komander will take on Darby Allin! Will Darby be in any shape after getting brutalized just last week?

AEW Continental Classic, Gold League: Claudio Castagnoli VS Brody King!

The Swiss Superman defeated The One & Only Ricochet while the King of Death once again took down the Relentless Darby Allin. And just as Claudio came looking to crush what was left, Brody actually defended Darby. Between that and how these two met in last year’s C2, this all just works perfectly! Who makes it through this match still leading the block while the other falls at their feet?

The bell rings and we’re on the clock! The two tie up, go around, and Brody powers Claudio back. Claudio powers Brody back, then headlocks. Brody fires body shots, then powers up and out. Claudio RAMS Brody but neither man falls! The fans duel, mostly behind Brody, and Claudio UPPERCUTS! Brody fires a forearm in return! Claudio UPPERCUTS, Brody forearms, repeat! The fans rally and Brody gets the edge! Brody ROCKS Claudio, but then Claudio dodges! Both men run and DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Neither man falls but the fans fire up! Claudio and Brody shake that off while fans chant “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!”

Claudio runs up, SWATS a lariat, and he wrenches the arm to ELBOW BREAKER! But Brody CHOPS Claudio down! The fans fire up, and Brody CHOPS Claudio again! Claudio goes along ropes but Brody CHOPS again! The fans fire up while Claudio goes to another corner. Brody swings, Claudio dodges, and Claudio knees low! Claudio wrenches for another ELBOW BREAKER! Then Claudio wraps the arm around ropes and YANKS on it! Brody still fires a forearm, but Claudio fires a forearm in return! Then Claudio UPPERCUTS, UPPERCUTS, and UPPERCUTS! ELBOW BREAKER! Claudio runs, but Brody scoops and SLAMS!

The fans fire up and Brody runs to SENTON! Cover, ONE!! Claudio toughs it out but Brody runs in at the corner. Claudio dodges, then UPPERCUTS again and again and again! The ref counts, the fans rally, and Claudio backs off. Claudio “apologizes” to the ref, then jukes him, only for Brody to CHOP! And CHOP! And CHOP! Brody ROCKS Claudio, whips him to a corner, then runs up, but Claudio dropkicks the legs out! Claudio huffs ‘n’ puffs and runs up to DOUBLE STOMP in the corner! Claudio then goes to the apron, YANKS Brody into the post, then SLINGS the bad arm into the steel! And then SLINGS it again!

Brody flops to the apron, but Claudio SLAMS the bad arm on the edge! Brody rolls into the ring, Claudio soaks up cheers and jeers, but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Claudio storms back in, but Brody takes a swing! Claudio blocks the shot to wrench and ELBOW BREAKER! Claudio UPPERCUTS Brody, wraps the arm around ropes again, and pulls! The ref counts, Claudio stops at 4, and Brody goes to another corner. Claudio runs up to UPPERCUT again! Claudio scoops and SLAMS Brody! Cover, TWO! Claudio grabs at the bad arm and clamps on with a double wristlock! Brody endures, fights up, but Claudio STOMPS the hand! Brody goes to a corner, but Claudio is on him with forearms! Brody hits back, they go back and forth, but Brody CHOPS! That instinct costs Brody because that hand is hurting!

Claudio grabs the arm, wrenches, and hits another ELBOW BERAKER! Claudio storms up on Brody, Brody pushes him away, but Claudio BOOTS him back! Claudio pulls the bad arm against ropes, but the ref counts. Claudio lets go at 4, then brings Brody up. Brody fights but Claudio still wrangles him down to the mat. Claudio twists the wrist into a double wristlock, and the fans rally with barking and hooting as Dynamite returns to single picture. Brody endures, fights up, and he RAMS Claudio into the corner! Claudio fires uppercuts but Brody fires a forearm! UPPERCUT! FOREARM! Repeat! Brody winds up to CHOP!

Brody CHOPS again, but Claudio blocks again! Wrench and ELOBOW BREAKER! Brody fireman’s carries all the same! DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Cover, TWO! Claudio survives and Brody snarls. Brody has a bloody cut on his nose but he just fires up! The fans fire up with Brody as he runs, but Claudio ducks a lariat! POP-UP UPEPRCUT!! Cover, TWO?!? Brody survives and Claudio is frustrated! Claudio waits on Brody as Brody goes to the corner. Claudio runs up, but Brody ELBOWS him! Claudio fireman’s carries!? DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Brody survives again but Claudio is right on him! HAMMER ‘N’ ANVIL ELBOWS!

Claudio rains down those shots, but they just seem to power Brody up! Brody catches the arm, stands and shoves Claudio, to then short arm LARIAT!! Cover, TWO!! Brody is too tired to be frustrated and both men are down! The fans rally up, a standing count begins, and both men push up at 3 of 10. They sit up at 5, and they fire forearms on each other! They stand, fire more shots, and then Brody CHOPS with the left hand! Claudio fires another forearm, Brody CHOPS again! Forearm, CHOP, repeat! Then Brody fires forearms with the right arm! And a CHOP! That hurts Brody again, but he whips corner to corner.

Claudio reverses and runs up, but Brody dodges! Claudio hits buckles, Brody runs up to SPLASH! Claudio sits down, the fans bark it up, and Brody joins in! Brody comes back, CANNONBALL!! Claudio takes all of that, Brody covers him, TWO!! Claudio survives and Brody is beside himself. Both men rise, and Brody brings Claudio in. Claudio fights the lift, then dodges the lariat to springboard FLYING- FOREARM!! Brody takes Claudio outta the air, covers, TWO!! Claudio survives and bails out to the apron. Brody storms over, but Claudio HOTSHOTS the bad arm! Claudio hurries up top, but Brody CHOPS with the left hand!

Brody DOUBLE CHOPS, then he climbs up to the very top! The fans fire up already as Brody brings Claudio up! SUPER DUPER PLEX!! Brody rises already and the fans bark it up! Brody brings Claudio in, brings him up, PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO?!?! Claudio survives again but he flounders away to a corner! The fans rally as hard as they can for both men, and Brody runs up on Claudio! Claudio dodges and bails out of the ring! Brody frowns and the fans boo, but Brody goes out after Claudio. Claudio kicks Brody, SMACKS the bad arm off the apron, but Brody CHOPS him right down! And then CHOPS again!

The fans fire up as the CHOPS keep going! Claudio is against railing, Brody ROCKS him! Brody makes Claudio take a seat, ROCKS him, and then gest space. The ring count is climbing, but Brody just runs up to SPLASH against barriers! Claudio bailed outta the way, and he comes back to UPPERCUT Brody over the railing!! Claudio hurries back into the ring! Brody flounders over railing, but we’re at 8! 9! Brody hurries up and in at 9.9!! Claudio is upset, but he roars! Claudio runs, but Brody LARIATS first!! Cover, TWO!?!? Claudio survives but Brody hauls him up! Canadian Rack, but Claudio CLAWS eyes!

Claudio slips free, grabs at the ref, and sneaks a LOW BLOW MULE KICK at the same time!! The fans boo but Claudio hurries to Gotch Lift! NEUTRALIZER!! Cover, Claudio wins!

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Brody earns 0)

Dirty as it was, this Death Rider is now leading Gold League! But BREAKING NEWS for Winter is Coming! Claudio’s next opponent? WILL OSPREAY! Can Claudio conquer even the Aerial Assassin? Or will Ospreay turn the tides and take over the tournament?

My Thoughts:

Another great Dynamite, but maybe not as great as last week with all the promos and set-up they had to do for the coming weeks. The promo from Mariah and Mina was still really good, and the namedrop of Thunder Rosa further indicates Rosa waits on the other side of next week’s match. Anna Jay VS Penelope Ford had a good match that could’ve been a bit smoother, but perhaps that’s just Ford’s ring rust working itself out. But obviously now we’re getting Anna VS Mone for the TBS Championship as part of AEW’s huge holiday week. Mone will also be coming off her NJPW Strong Women’s Championship match as Strong Style Evolved is the 15th, so she’s about to have two wins in one week as a Christmas gift to herself.

Good promos from Hayter and Hart, but I’m thinking Hart costs Hayter her match in the International Women’s Cup tournament so they can have their own match at Worlds End. And I guess Britt Baker was right, no one cares about Deeb VS Baker because it hasn’t happened and probably isn’t happening since Britt disappeared again. Great Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal, and I like how Lio & Action might break off to be their own tag team given how they essentially turned on Darius & Dante in this match. And while it was very obvious it’d be Kyle and Cole next week, the match itself was done in a way that kept things dramatic. Good promo from MJF that in some ways makes up for how he’s the Heel when Cole was Heel, and maybe we can just see it as two Heels fighting to see who’s worse.

One other thing about the battle royal is I hope Mark Davis is okay. His landing on the apron and floor was pretty hard since he got hit by both Archer and Cage, and I think I saw Doc Sampson stealthily check on him. Davis cannot afford another injury, the last one kept him out for so long, and he needs to be around so he and Fletcher can get on a story of their fallout. And speaking of fallout, I feel like one of the holiday specials is when Caster and Bowens break up. Caster is still so smug, and Bowens really did just let Caster go out there and get the ass kicking he deserves. That was also a great win for Swerve, he’s hot going into an inevitable rematch with Lashley.

Good promo from Hook to call out The Patriarchy and basically dismiss Nick Wayne as anyone worth his time. Of course, the Patriarch all beats him up and smashes that hand, which in a roundabout way makes Hook the underdog now. I’m pretty sure Hook will still fight Nick Wayne 1v1, certainly find a way to win, and he might even have to fight Kip before he gets after Christian. Christian of course still has his attention on the world title, but maybe Taz via a promo can goad Christian into putting the Casino Gauntlet title match contract on the line a la the few times WWE’s Money in the Bank contract gets put up. The incentive could even be that if Hook loses, he’s forced to join Patriarchy. Well, thinking about it now, that’s kind of a bad idea…

Great Continental Classic stuff as usual, with Fletcher VS Shelton as a great opener. Fletcher winning made sense, he needs to stand out as the up-and-coming guy in the Don Callis Family. Plus, it helped put some fire in The Hurt Syndicate, and them beating up on security was good stuff. Then we got an awesome main event out of Claudio VS Brody, I’m surprised that wasn’t 20 minutes because they did so much. Claudio cheating to win is actually a great move, because it puts Heel heat on him, as he should have given how The Death Riders are doing whatever they want to whoever they want. Plus this gives Claudio momentum going into matches like next week and his match with Ospreay, which will itself be an awesome match.

And speaking of The Death Riders, great match from White VS Pac, especially with White overcoming Yuta’s interference. Naturally, the rest of the group (minus Claudio because he was getting ready for his match) showed up to beat up on White, but Hangman showing up was good stuff. It returns the favor from last week, and it also helped distract Moxley from the surprise return of Cassidy! While we had a “Team AEW” kind of thing before with Top Flight and Dark Order and Conglomeration all wanting after The Death Riders, it is oddly this ragtag collection of Cassidy, White and Hangman that could put up the best fight. I’m not saying we see a Six Man Tag of them all with Death Riders, but something’s gonna influence a big Worlds End world title match.

My Score: 8.9/10

Six Man Tag: The Opps VS Jack Banning, Starboy Charlie & Titus Alexander!

Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & Hook got past The Patriarchy and are looking to make a real impact in the AEW Trios Division now. Will there The Opps not stop until they’re on top?

The trios sort out and Hook starts with Banning. They tie up, Hook waistlocks, and Hook trips Banning up. The fans cheer Hook on as he facelocks and fires hands! Then he HALF HATCH SUPLEXES Banning away! Alexander tags in, but Hook knees low to FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Tag to Shibata and the fans fire up. Shibata & Hook double whip Alexander, trip him up, and Shibata storms up to kick Alexander low. Tag to Joe and the fans fire up! They CHOP, CHOP, and CHOP! Alexander has no choice but to take it! Then Joe whips and ELBOWS Alexander down! Joe waits to JAB! JAB! JAB! Joe whips Alexander to a corner, then back body blocks! And PELES!

Alexander flops down, Joe grins and brings him over. Tag back to Shibata and he stomps Alexander. Shibata bumps Alexander off buckles, BOOTS Starboy & Banning, then double whips Alexander. Shibata sends Hook to LARIAT! Joe runs up to SPLASH! Alexander sits down, and Shibata hits his HYDRAULIC DROPKICK! HALF HATCH, then Joe adds a SENTON! Shibata PENALTY KICKS Alexander, covers, The Opps win!

Winners: The Opps, by pinfall

Starboy didn’t even get a turn, but maybe that’s a good thing. Will nothing stop these forces of nature from taking over AEW?

Adam Copeland speaks.

“I make you nervous, Moxley. You don’t like having guys like me around. Guys that have done more than you, been around longer than you, paid more dues than you. It threatens your manhood or something, and it should. Now Mox, you said all I had to do was ask for a fight, and I did, but you dodged me. You hid behind your Death Riders. And then I finally realized, you’re afraid. You’re afraid of losing the AEW World Championship, because with the championship, we all have to sit through your word salad diatribes that just go around in circles. But without it, you’ve got no juice.

“And it’s not too long before your sycophants realized that you’re just a false martyr. You’re just a spin doctor. You’re not a messiah. Well, Death Riders are gone, man. We took ’em out. And Yuta, he finally seems to be doing some soul searching and realized the succubus you are. So here’s what I need. I need the Jon Moxley that set this industry on fire when he first came to AEW, not this coward. I need the Moxley who’s not afraid to go toe to toe with me. I need the Moxley who’s not afraid to get in the trenches, who’s not afraid to suffer. Because you will. And I know I will, too, but I’m a masochist, I get off on it.

“But I’m also not kidding myself. I have been in hundreds of world title matches over the last 32 years, and I know. I know that time is running out. I know that this could be the last time I ever fight for a world title. So I have to make this count. What I’ve got going for me is there’s no expiring on purpose, there’s no expiring on passion, there’s no expiring on grit, I’ve got all of those in spades, Moxley. So here it is, man. Cope VS Mox, one on one for the first time ever, for the AEW World Championship at Revolution! I have to do this. Los Angeles, see you soon.” Cope is ready, but will he make Revolution Rated R?

Mercedes Mone is here!

As promised, The CEO is going to watch her challenger with her own eyes, so she struts down to ringside, holding up the AEW TBS Championship. Will she be impressed, intimidated or neither with The Dark Peach of Stardom?

Momo Watanabe VS Serena Deeb!

The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, Deeb wrenches and wristlocks, but Momo powers through to wrench and wristlock in return. Deeb rolls, rolls back, then spins and wrenches to a wristlock. Deeb wrangles Momo, has the top wristlock, but Momo rolls back. The fans rally as Momo wrenches and hammerlocks. Deeb headlocks for a takeover, but Momo headscissors. Deeb kips free but Momo hits the takeover. Deeb headscissors, Momo kips free, and the fans cheer this exchange. Momo and Deeb circle, the fans rally up, and the two tie up. Deeb headlocks, then spins to a hammerlock, then back to a headlock.

Momo endures, fires body shots, and powers out. Deeb RUNS Momo over, then keeps moving. Momo stay slow, but Deeb turns hip toss into arm-drag, and then gets the legs for a SEATED SURFBOARD! Momo endures, Mone is loving it, and she wants the Professor to make Momo pay. Momo still endures so Deeb lets go. Momo goes to a corner, Deeb runs up and LARIATS! Deeb whips corner to corner, then runs up, but Momo DROPKICKS first! The fans fire up and Momo runs in now, DROPKICK! Deeb sits down, the fans fire up with Momo, and she goes corner to corner, HYDRAULIC DROPKICK!

Momo stares Mone down, Mone holds up the belt again, but Momo sits Deeb up. Momo KICKS, KICKS, and KICKS again! Momo paces, then kicks, but Deeb blocks! Will Ospreay speaks.

The Aerial Assassin finishes being checked by the trainer, and then sets the icepack down. “The pain that I’m feeling right now, the pain I’m feeling physically, does not equate to what I feel mentally right now. The torture that I feel in my brain right now. I feel lost, I feel confused, I feel anxious that I am entering a match physically spent, emotionally spent, entering a match that I’ve never participated in in my entire flippin’ career, against someone I called my flippin’ brother. Tonight on my left arm, I wore my armband that symbolizes the United Empire.

“But as I was packing my bags, I saw that armband in the top corner, and I brought that down, and I wore it on my arm to hope that there’s some little symbol, there’s some little part of you that’s still in there. That band. That band of brotherhood, mate. It’s not just a faction, it’s a band of boys that looked after each other. Me, Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis, Jeff Cobb, The Great-O-Khan, Henare, Francesco Akira, TJ Perkins, Callum Newman, Gideon Grey. All of us together took over Japan. Young, hungry boys that only cared about each other.

“And one year, mate, one year ago, at Revolution, after I defeated Takeshita, and I saw my best friend, a man that I put in my home, a man that has picked up my son with me… Met me ringside, and I knew we was gonna get the band back together. I knew we was gonna get the boys in and we were gonna take over AEW. But that ain’t the case now. No longer are we taking over AEW as the United Empire. Now, we’re standing in opposite corners, and this time, we are locked inside of a steel cage. And I’m coming into this like a wounded animal, bruv. A wounded animal, locked inside a cage, backed into a corner, I got no choice but to fight!

“I’ve got no choice but to look at my brother, a man that I loved, loved him more than anything in this world, that I would do anything for ya! And instead, I have to fight back. I have to fight with every ounce of energy that is in my body. And know this, Kyle. Know that with every bit of love that I had for you, every knife that you stabbed in my back, I will stab you right back! I will grate up your face across that flippin’ cage! I will end this once and for all! Because my name is Will Ospreay, and I am on! Another! LEVEL!” The Aerial Assassin steels his heart before stepping inside that steel, but will he be able to end The Protostar?

Harley Cameron VS Tatevik Hunanyan!

Though she lost at Grand Slam: Australia, this wild Aussie has been getting wins on TV, on the Jericho Cruise, and even named her finishing move… uh, well, Her Finishing Move! But will we continue to #FeelTheWrath? Or is the hot streak going to cool off for the Spring?

The moment Harley’s in the ring, Tatevik CLOBBERS her! The fans boo, the bell rings, but Tatevik DRIBBLES Harley off the mat! Then she runs, rolls off Harley’s back, and ROUNDHOUSES! Then RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Tatevik drags Harley up by her hair, SMACKS her off the mat, but the fans rally for Harley even harder.

Tatevik CLUBS Harley, has her in a corner, but Harley ELBOWS her back! And BOOTS her down! And then BOOTS her again! Harley runs up to LARIAT! Harley fires forearms, then winds up to ENZIGIRI! Harley runs, YOU’RE A WIZARD, HARLEY! The fans fire up with Harley and she takes aim. Tatevik swings, Harley wrenches her, for HER FINISHING MOVE!! Cover, Harley wins!

Tatevik tried to take the fight to Harley, but she still felt the wrath! Could Her Finishing Move be the key to Harley finally becoming a champion in AEW?

Kyle Fletcher speaks.

“The thing that I love most in this entire world is dropping people on their heads. And the only thing that makes it just a little bit better is doing it looking like a million bucks. And the only, only, only thing that makes it just a little bit sweeter is when I get to do it to Will Ospreay. Now, Will, you talk about this Steel Cage Match on Sunday like it’s some stepping stone. Like once it’s out of the way, you can finally make your way to the world championship and face Moxley to save this company. But you could not be more wrong. You are and always have been the one standing in MY way. In the way of me achieving my destiny.

“Now, prophecy says that when this is all down, I will be remembered as the greatest professional wrestler of all time. And Will, I’m sorry, but all your accomplishments, they mean nothing. Because all you’ll be remembered as is Kyle Fletcher’s greatest rival. And now, this band, this band that I ripped off your lifeless body, is supposed to represent a brotherhood? United Empire. But just like the United Empire, this thing is a facade. Because all it is is a way for you to stroke your own ego! And this Sunday, there will be no brothers in your corner. You are being locked in the lion’s den, and this lion has been starved far, far too long.

“I am hungry for revenge! Those fans, they can chant ‘Ospreay! Ospreay!’ all they want, until they are blue in the face, but it means nothing! Because I will paint that ring, that canvas, that steel cage in red with your blood. And I want you to remember all the pain that you have caused me all these years, because I am going to return it this Sunday a thousand fold. And don’t forget that you asked for this. Now say my full name.” Kyle Fletcher is determined to destroy Ospreay, but what will it cost him in return?

Another big win for this dynamic duo, could Kyle & Roddy make the entire AEW Tag Division undisputed on the other side of Revolution?

The Don Callis Family speaks.

Calils says since he and Konosuke Takeshita have joined forces, “Life is good, brother. Life is very good.” They’re on a ride, and Kenny will not interrupt it. They called Omega the “God of Wrestling,” but there’s a new god! Because he is here, each and every day, defending the AEW International title while Kenny Omega, God bless him, no ill will here, sits in a hospital bed with tubes coming out of his stomach! How long until those guts explode? And at Revolution, that will be the last match, the last time, that the wrestling world sees Kenny Omega! Because “they” won’t just beat Omega a third time, they will END him!

AEW hears from Bandido & Gravity.

After the ambush beatdown by The Learning Tree last Thursday on ROH, The Most Wanted tells them that while he doesn’t know their problem with him and his brother, just know that they won’t get away acting like cowards! Fight them like men! Gravity tells Jericho, if you want to finish things with him and his brother, meet him at Revolution! Bandido asks if Gravity is sure about that. Si, carnal! Gravity wants Jericho 1v1 at Revolution, for the ROH World Championship!! The Space Cowboys are ready to ride into the City of Angels, but can Gravity bring down The Nueve?

Jon Moxley speaks.

“Adam Copeland and I are so different. We are not the same animal. We are barely the same species. But it’s funny how much we do have in common. Copeland came up the hard way. Poverty, starvation, drives across frozen lakes. We’re the last of a dying breed, you and I. On the road every single night, busting your ass through injuries. Through every obstacle they want to throw in your path. Chasing a dream, this fantasy. You can’t see, but you can feel it in your heart, you can almost feel it on your fingertips. The dream is to one day wrap that gold around your waist, feel that gold in your hands, to be world champion.

“That’s what drives you, man. That passion, that drive, every single night. You’d sacrifice it all for one more chance to play the game. Once you get there, man, you don’t wanna give it up for anything. That’s what this is about. Respect, hmm? I want to respect Adam Copeland, I want to like Adam Copeland, I really do. And I really tried. But, I just don’t get what you’re about, man. And when I get my hands around your busted neck, and I will, should I show you mercy? Would you show me mercy? Did you show my people mercy?

“When you hear the sound of your spinal column busting and cracking and popping and breaking, and you hear that sound reverberating in your skull and your eardrums…! You will feel what respect feels like.” The Maniac has said his piece, but will there be any piece of either man left after tomorrow night?

FTR meets with Daniel Garcia and The Undisputed Kingdom.

Cash Wheeler tells the group that they asked them all here because after last week, that wasn’t FTR’s best presentation. After Dynamite last week, then losing to them on Collision in a match they should’ve won, emotions ran high, that’s their bad. FTR is more professional that that. Dax Harwood says not him. He doesn’t apologize for not shaking hands. The only thing he apologizes for is stooging himself off to the referee. Kyle & Roddy were in the ring with the absolute best team last week, and the absolute best team should’ve won last week. Roddy asks “KYLE~!” if he hears this. Because Roddy’s pretty sure the best tag team did win last week.

Kyle says too true. But Kyle says one way or another, that victory was tainted. So to do the right thing, they’ll run it back. FTR agrees, the rematch is set for next week’s Collision! FTR heads out, as do Kyle & Roddy, but Adam Cole wants to talk with Garcia. Cole knows Garcia knows that Cole deserves his own rematch given what Shane Taylor Promotions did. But after tonight, we’ll just have to see if Garcia’s still TNT Champion. Garcia says that’s cute. But we will see. As much as Garcia wants to continue this conversation, he has to go defend his title. Cole says go get ’em, champ. Garcia heads out, will he still be the Face of TNT?

Backstage interview with The Hurt Syndicate.

Lexy Nair is with Montel Vontavious Porter, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin and notes that their AEW World Tag Team Championship match for Revolution is set against The Outrunners. Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum have been training hard, and they have a match tonight against The Premier Athletes, hoping to win and build momentum. With that said- MVP cuts Lexy off to say, “With that being said, let me say this. The Outrunners are so entertaining. They make you feel good, they make you feel happy, they make you laugh. They’re entertaining. But we’re about a different kind of entertainment

“We like violent, savage entertainment. Blood, pain. We don’t wanna make you laugh, we wanna make you cringe, we wanna make you gasp. The Outrunners are the underdogs. And that’s why most of you pathetic people that watch this, you identify with underdogs because in life, you are an underdog. But Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin have never been underdogs. They’ve only ever been the top dogs. And what they are going to do to your underdogs is they are going to make them suffer. They are going to hurt them, badly. And you know what you do to a dog when it’s suffering? You put it down. We’re the Hurt Syndicate, and we hurt people.”

The Syndicate heads out, but will it be so easy to kill the Youngest Men Alive?

The fans rally as Truth and Turbo reach for each other, but Nese drags Truth away! Daivari tags in, Nese puts Truth in the corner to ROCK him! Truth ROCKS Daivari, too! Nese throat chops Truth! Then HOTSHOT BULLDOGS him down! Daivari is up top, DIVING SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Daivari is furious but he drags Truth up with chicken wings. Tag to Nese and Nese climbs, but Truth switches! AEW shares footage from the Queen of the Ring red carpet event.

Toni Storm was being interviewed about her (co)starring role and what it means for this movie to be made, only to be attacked by Mariah May!! The Woman From Hell would not let Timeless Toni have even one moment of peace! Christopher Daniels and security had to drag her away, but the title match is still on! Who will have it all with their Hollywood Ending?

AEW hears from The Don Callis Family and… #MXMTV?

Johnny TV says, “The enemies of our enemies are our friends. That means we’re friends.” Brian Cage isn’t so sure about that, Johnny. But as long as Johnny is paying Callis, the Murder Machines don’t mind helping out. Okay, good enough. But speaking of those enemies, Mark Briscoe says it has been too long since he and Orange Cassidy conglomerated. The time has come, he and the Main Man with the Game Plan are gonna conglomerate with Big Boom AJ! Revolution, baby! Mansoor says if the other side is “The Conglomeration,” then guess what? This is the Cooperation! And together, they will DESTROY AJ, Briscoe, Cassidy and more!

Briscoe says, “We’re gonna bring the…” Cassidy says, “Boom.” RAH RAH RAH! The Sussex County Chicken & Freshly Squeezed are ready, but will the MXM Cooperation bring the DOOM?

AEW TNT Championship: Daniel Garcia VS Lee Moriarty!

Red Death and #TAIGASTYLE are two of the best technical wrestlers in AEW & ROH, with skill and grit beyond their years. That’s made even clearer by how they both hold gold in AEW & ROH. But will Garcia lose his to the ROH Pure Champion? Or can Garcia prevent Moriarty from becoming the #TwoBeltTaiga?

The introductions are made, Garcia’s belt is raised, and we see if it’s still Garcia’s belt after this Collision!

The bell rings and the fans rally up. Lee and Garcia circle, tie up, and then break. They go again, go around, and then break. Garcia stares Lee down but Lee grins and says chill. They tie up, go around, and Lee waistlocks. Lee drags Garcia down, keeps him down, then facelocks. Garcia wrenches out to facelock, but Lee returns the favor. They switch the facelock again and again, then Garcia floats all over Lee! The fans cheer as Garcia stands over Lee. Garcia puts up the dukes but Lee stops that! Lee makes it a straitjacket, but Garcia switches that onto Lee. Lee switches that back, but Garcia arm-drags free!

Garcia gets his dukes up, and does his dance! Lee whips Garcia, but Garcia runs Lee over! Things keep moving, Lee hurdles and arm-drags! Garcia comes back to arm-drag! Then he avoids Lee’s arm-drag, Oklahoma Rolls, ONE!! Lee runs up but Garcia trips him to ghost pin! TWO, and Garcia trips Lee again! Garcia has the legs, Lee scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! Lee says back off! Garcia lets go, Lee slowly stands, and then Lee SOBATS! Lee gets away with that cheap shot, then he whips, but Garcia reverses. Lee tiger feints, RAMS into Garcia, then springboards! Garcia gets under, then he runs back up, to BOOT Lee down!

Garcia tumbles out, Lee pursues, and he BELL CLAPS Garcia! Garcia staggers, Lee whips, but Garcia reverses! Lee hits railing, then ends up sitting in the chair! The fans fire up with Garcia and he goes running in, DROPKICK against railing! Garcia rises back up and the fans cheer him on! Garcia is feeling good while Lee sputters, and Garcia storms after Lee. Garcia puts Lee in, but Lee slides right out, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Garcia goes out to the apron, but Lee trips him up! Garcia flops to the floor, Lee leaves him behind, and the ring count starts. Garcia slowly sits up, Lee flexes and poses, but Garcia is back at 8! Lee stomps Garcia down, drags him up, and RAMS him low! Lee whips Garcia to ropes, KNEES him low, then whips again for another KNEE! Lee whips back the other way, kitchen sink knees Garcia down, then covers. TWO, but Lee stays cool. Lee swaggers around, stomps Garcia down, then stalks him to a corner. Lee drags Garcia up, RAMS into him again, then digs his shoulder in. The ref counts but Lee RAMS Garcia again and again!

Lee lets off and Garcia sputters. Lee paces, but Garcia runs up! Lee fights the lift with elbows, then switches to SLAM Garcia down! Lee holds onto the waistlock, grinds Garcia with a rear bearhug, but Garcia claws at the mat. Garcia fights up, fires elbows, but ends up in a COBRA TWIST! Garcia endures as Collision returns to single picture. The fans rally as Garcia stomps his way forward, but Lee pulls on the arm! Garcia kicks his way around to a ROPEBREAK! Lee lets off slowly, and he ELBOWS Garcia in the back! The ref reprimands and the fans boo, but Lee drags Garcia from the ropes for another waistlock.

Garcia goes back tot he ropes, Lee whips him and KNEES him! And whips and KNEES again! And then another whip, but Garcia turns knee into a roll-up! TWO, Lee CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Garcia stays in this and the fans rally up again! Lee poses, watches Garcia rise up, and Lee waistlocks. Garcia fights the half nelson, but Lee suplexes! Garcia fights that but then Lee fights the suplex. They go back and forth, and Garcia suplexes up and over! The fans fire up while both men are down. Garcia feeds off the energy from the fans as he rises, but so does Lee. Both men stand, stagger a bit, and Garcia counter punches!

Garcia counter punches again and again, then fires a flurry! Garcia whips, Lee reverses, but Garcia DROPKICKS! The fans fire up more and Garcia runs in at the corner. Kenny Omega speaks.

“Takeshita, I’ll give you credit. You used me to get everything that you wanted. All of the questions that you had, I gave you every single answer that I could because I wanted to see the best for you. 2021 seems like a lifetime ago, but I still remember it very clearly. I still remember you being in this house, I still remember working out with you, I still remember watching tape, giving you advice. And I still remember you absorbing everything like a sponge, with your hands out, ‘Please, Kenny. Give me something that takes me to the next level.’ And then when I gave it to you, it still wasn’t enough. And I know that you think that Don can take you to the top of the mountain…

“Don himself thinks that you are the ultimate meal ticket. That you’ll be the one to shower him with the riches, shower him with all the gold, take him to the next step. But then what happens when you don’t? What happens after Revolution when I take your title away? Will you be thrown aside just the way that I was? Will you be thrown aside in the same way that Will Ospreay was? You see, the difference between you and Will Ospreay, Takeshita, is that Will opened his eyes. You’re still living in this fantasy world that Momsy, Dadsy, or Uncle Don is going to make something work magically, pull something out of thin air.

“And why is that? Because you’re afraid to go take it yourself? Well, I’m telling you right now, when it’s a singles match between us at Revolution, there is your chance. There is your chance, one on one, without Don, without any help, to beat me man to man. Show everyone that you’re willing to take that top spot. Show everyone that you are one of the best on the planet. At Revolution, Takeshita, you’re not facing the same guy that you had beaten twice in one week, Who you are facing is the guy that Don Callis himself used to call, ‘The God of Professional Wrestling.’ Do you really think you can beat this version of Kenny Omega?

“I guess tomorrow, we’re gonna find out. Until Revolution, I must bid you adieu. Goodbye, Takeshita, mwah. And goodnight, BANG!” The Cleaner has put Takeshita on notice, but will he still be The Best Bout Machine?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision, but wow, was this some go-home syndrome. All the promos and recaps were well done, such as Kenny right there at the end, but we got so many of them when honestly, Kenny’s was a touch redundant. He had one on Dynamite, why not use this one back then? Speaking of redundant, Cope and Moxley had promos again. Cope saying Moxley talks in circles doesn’t do much when Cope barely said anything new other than, “I have to win.” I’ve been saying this a lot already, but this is all learning towards Christian Cage cashing in his Casino Gauntlet contract to really throw things for a loop.

I did appreciate what we got of the “Mariah attacks Toni” that happened on Friday, that is a clever way to add to a build. Good promo from Bandido & Gravity to respond to what happened on ROH, and Jericho VS Gravity will be a great match, but I don’t see Jericho losing given the title is on the line. And I also did appreciate Ospreay and Kyle at least adding some new twists. Ospreay has a point that the United Empire could’ve been a thing in AEW, and Kyle bringing up how Ospreay was meant to get in on the Death Riders story was also a nice touch. The cage match could really go either way, and I suppose much of it depends on where the world title’s story is going.

The Opps winning a squash match but then getting nothing else was odd. I mean, good win for The Opps, but I guess with The Death Riders falling apart and also kayfabe hospitalized, there couldn’t be a challenge set for the trios titles here. Very good win for Harley with Tatevik also coming out the gate strong. Momo VS Deeb was really good, and Mone was good on commentary. Them teasing Billie hanging around continues to be interesting. It’d be rather interesting if Billie were to bypass another shot at the ROH Women’s World Championship to then go after and most likely lose to Mone for the TBS Championship. Because as I’ve said before, Mone is certainly retaining against Momo.

Awesome match from Hologram and Dralistico, and another great win for Hologram. LFI going after him and then beating up Komander was good stuff, and I would think Hologram & Komander VS Dralistico & Mortos is a tag match we get before Rush VS Hologram 1v1. Good promo from The Hurt Syndicate ahead of The Outrunners having their match. It was a natural move for Hurt Syndicate to go out there in hopes of distracting, but I like that it didn’t cost The Outrunners. Great win for The Outrunners tonight, but they’re definitely losing at Revolution.

We got quite the promo from The Conglomeration and the “Cooperation.” There’s no change to the match, but I suppose this means Lance Archer, Brian Cage & Mark Davis will be ringside to watch and possibly stack the odds against Big Boom AJ’s team. I would think the Faces still win but maybe it’ll be from The Don Callis Family ditching MXM TV. FTR had a decent promo with Garcia and the Undisputed Kingdom. FTR having a split attitude on how their match with Kyle & Roddy went is interesting, but at least we’re getting a rematch. That’ll be some good stuff, and might unofficially make the winners the next tag title contenders.

An awesome TNT title match for the main event, but being it was Collision, I figured Garcia would retain. Setting up an 8 Man Tag for Revolution’s Zero Hour is something, and I could see some “dysfunction” between Garcia and Cole could set up their TNT Championship rematch. And with that rematch, I feel like Cole should win. There’s a good chance he’ll have the TNT title while Kyle & Roddy face Lashley & Shelton for the tag titles. Golden Prophecy: All Elite Edition is certainly to happen in 2025.

My Score: 8.9/10

PLAY BY PLAY

MJF is outside…?

“‘Hangman Did Nothing Wrong,’ that’s what you people like to say. But I disagree. See, what you decided to do, Adam, is decided to poke and prod the Devil. What I did to your boy, Christopher Daniels, friend, that was light work. See normally, I like to play with my food before I eat it. But Hangman, you got me feeling hungry. You got me wanting to take a bite out of that cute, blue-eyed baby face of yours. You got me wanting to prove a point to your s*itty little mark fan club! So you wanna call me out, Hangman? You wanna find me? You wanna fight me? I ain’t hard to find! I’m in the streets of Sacramento!”

If Hangman wants to talk Buckshots, MJF has a bullet with a name on it, and it reads, “HANGMAN! HANGMAN! HANGMAN! You wanna shoot, Cowboy? Well then saddle up, mother effer, and let’s ride!!” The Scumbag is on one tonight, but will he regret lighting that fire inside of Adam Page?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

Standing by the table that’s already set up, Schiavone notes we have an irate MJF. But tonight, it is time for the contract signing for the rematch at AEW Revolution, which is also a #1 Contender’s match to the AEW World Championship. First welcome out, alongside Prince Nana, SWERVE STRICKLAND! The Sacramento Memorial Auditorium is now “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” as The Realest heads to the ring, Nana doing the signature Swerve When I Drive dance. The fans fire up as Swerve steps in and takes his seat at the table. Schiavone welcomes out now Swerve’s opponent, Ricochet!

The fans boo as The One & Only walks out, not wearing the Embassy robe, but still wearing a backwards baseball cap to represent the Philadelphia Eagles. Ricochet goes to the ring, shows off the hat, then takes his seat across from Swerve. The fans chant “You Suck! You Suck!” at Ricochet but Schiavone has them get to business. Each man will have a chance to comment before signing. Schiavone points out that Ricochet isn’t wearing the Embassy robe that he stole months ago. Where is it? Ricochet says don’t worry about where his robe is, and don’t worry, we’ll all see it again on Sunday. It is in good hands, getting some, uh, upgrades, if you will.

Nana gets made and steps up, but Swerve holds him back. Ricochet says for Swerve to get “grandpa” under control until something really does happen to the robe. The fans boo, but Ricochet says we’re all excited. Swerve has done plenty of contract signings before, right? But none of them really ended well for him either. Ricochet showed up, he’s here, so now no one has to worry about Swerve’s house being burned down again. Ricochet laughs but the fans boo at his rude joke. Swerve leans in and says just sign the contract. Ricochet says of course, of course, but he’s a superstar, and superstars need time to shine before they sign.

But don’t worry, Swerve. You’re lucky. You’re lucky Ricochet is even here, is even humoring the rematch, because Ricochet should be done with Swerve! Swerve is the one that started this, that stuck his nose in Ricochet’s business. Swerve and all his little fans chose to mock Ricochet. Get it right! Swerve chose to mock and bully and embarrass Ricochet! And what happened? Even in the face of all that, Ricochet still beat Swerve. Yeah, that’s right! Ricochet won! That’s why Swerve mad! Because Ricochet won. Then just sign the contract. Oh, don’t worry, Ricochet will. The fans again chant “You Suck! You Suck!” at Ricochet.

Ricochet tells Swerve that now, Ricochet is one step away from achieving his goal of becoming AEW World Champion! So yeah, he’s more focused than ever! Ricochet is focused on Jon Moxley, he is focused on Adam Copeland, and he is focused on being exactly who he was always supposed to be: THE AEW World Champion! The fans boo, but Ricochet finally signs on the dotted line. Ricochet says, “Now don’t let Prince Nana down.” Swerve tells Ricochet to shut the hell up! The fans cheer that! Swerve says Ricochet is SO annoying! He is an entitled, self-righteous little p*ick, isn’t he?! Ricochet says no he’s not.

Swerve says yeah, he did start this, all to expose Ricochet for the cowardly fraud that he is! And on Sunday, that is exactly what Swerve’s gonna do. Does Ricochet think some low blow victory means something? He thinks that’s impressive? Ricochet stole the Embassy robe, he stuck Swerve with scissors and left him a bloody mess in the middle of the ring. But the biggest mistake Ricochet made is he left Swerve breathing. And with Swerve standing here, it will be Swerve breathing down Ricochet’s neck until he ends Ricochet! Ricochet mocks how scary that sounds, but Swerve says, “Awakening the Most Dangerous Man in AEW is a mistake that you’re gonna learn to regret to live with.”

The fans cheer on “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Swerve says this Sunday, Revolution, Swerve carves his path back to the AEW World Championship. Not just by running through Ricochet, but by putting Ricochet in the ground. And there will only be two things Ricochet will be remembered for. One of them is that Swerve briefly revived Ricochet’s career. The other is Ricochet’s ring announcer wife. Ricochet gets mad while the fans go wild! Swerve signs his part, so it is now official! Swerve wants Ricochet to do something now, but then Ricochet brings out the scissors! Swerve stops that, and shows he has HIS OWN SCISSORS!

Swerve JABS Ricochet in the face with his scissors! The fans are fired up for “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” while Ricochet flounders, blood pouring from his forehead! The contender’s match is Sunday, but there’s still tonight’s “Road to Revolution” tag match! Will Ricochet get his revenge alongside The Rainmaker? Or will Swerve’s House release the Hounds of Hell as he and Brody King stand together?

8 Man Tag: Will Ospreay, “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, Orange Cassidy & Mark Briscoe VS Bryan Keith, Mark Davis, Brian Cage & Lance Archer!

It’s a star-studded start here in Sacramento as the Aerial Assassin conglomerates with The Powerhouse, Freshly Squeeze & The Sussex County Chicken! They’re taking on some common enemies as The Bad Apple is joined by The Don Callis Family’s Dunkzilla & Murder Machines! Will Ospreay and his team make it to Revolution? Or will Keith and the boys collect on that bounty after all?

Dynamite returns as the rest of Ospreay’s team makes their entrance. Then Bryan Keith makes his entrance, followed by the whole Don Callis Family, Callis himself included. The teams sort out and the fans fire up as Ospreay starts against Cage. Callis is on commentary and says all these fans are idiots, but Ospreay BOOTS Cage at the bell! Ospreay fires forearms, then whips, but Cage blocks! Cage whips, Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges to RAN- NO, Cage stops that! Fans tell Callis off while Cage THROWS Ospreay away! Cage storms up on Ospreay, scoops him, and uses him for bicep curls before a POWERSLAM!

The fans boo while Cage flexes. Cage puts Ospreay in a corner to fire LARIAT after LARIAT, then he short arm LARIATS! The fans boo more but Cage flexes. Cage drags Ospreay up, reels him in, and puts one out before he lifts. But Ospreay slips free, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and he RANAS this time! Then he BOOTS and SAIDOS! The fans fire up with Ospreay as he drags Cage up. Tag to Mark Briscoe and he fires an UPPERCUT! And a CHOP! And a forearm! And repeat! Cage slips out to waistlock, but Briscoe breaks free to PELE! Cage staggers to the corner, Briscoe storms up to go up, and he rains down fists! The fans count along, all the way to TEN! Briscoe tags Ospreay back in, he goes up to rain down fists! Ospreay goes to TEN, then tags Hobbs! The fans fire up as Hobbs climbs up, and he rains down fists!

Hobbs gets his TEN, then he tags in Cassidy! Sacramento is thunderous as Cassidy goes up, and he hits ONE! Cassidy is as fired up as Cassidy can be, but then Cage CLOBBERS him! The fans boo but Cage snarls as he whips Cassidy to a corner. Cassidy goes up and out, ducks a shot, and he buckle bumps Cage! But Cage stops Cassidy from taking him side to side! Cage swings, Cassidy ducks and RAMS low! Cassidy slingshots, but Cage blocks the blockbuster to make it a JACKHAMMER! Cage tags Archer and the Murderhawk looms over Cassidy. The fans rally for Freshly Squeezed, but Archer stands Cassidy up to ROCK him!

Cassidy wobbles, but Archer keeps him standing. Archer stands Cassidy up again to ROCK him again! Cassidy wobbles, but says hold on. He puts his free hand in his pocket! Archer reels Cassidy in, Cassidy ducks ‘n’ dodges, then goes again, but Davis stands in the way! Archer ripcords Cassidy for the HELLICOASTER! The fans boo but Archer stands on Cassidy while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Archer storms around, then glares at Briscoe while he rallies the fans for Cassidy. Archer storms back to Cassidy, CLUBS away on Cassidy’s chest, then HAMMERS away before he lets Cassidy fall over. Archer tells Davis this is how you do it, then he tags Davis in. Davis scoops Cassidy to SLAM him, then SENTONS! Davis looms over Cassidy, stares Ospreay down, then drags Cassidy up. Davis bumps Cassidy off buckles, then CHOPS him! Davis stands Cassidy up, CHOPS him again, then reels him in. Davis suplexes Cassidy and holds him up! And then the SLAM at TEN! Davis drags Cassidy to the corner, tags Cage in, and Cage CHOPS Cassidy!

Cassidy sputters but Cage deadlift suplexes him! Cage holds Cassidy up, shifts to a military press, then SLAMS him down! Cage flexes, kisses the bicep, then tags in Archer. Archer stays between Cassidy and his corner, then hauls Cassidy up. Archer suplexes and holds Cassidy up, and even marches around! Cassidy reaches out, but Archer SLAMS him down! Archer drags Cassidy over, CLUBS him down, then talks trash. Dynamite returns to single picture as Archer TOSSES Cassidy out! Archer taunts Ospreay and team, and as the ref stops Ospreay from storming in, Callis gets his cheap shots in! The fans boo but Callis gets away with it all!

Davis drags Cassidy up and puts him in the ring, the ref completely missing that crime. Archer suplexes Cassidy, Cage tags in, and he takes the handoff! Cage keeps Cassidy up, and he tags in Davis even though Keith wanted in. Davis takes the handoff, the fans continue to boo, and then Davis SLAMS Cassidy down! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives all of that damage and the fans rally up. Davis says if Keith wants in, then here. Keith tags in, and Keith flexes. Keith drags Cassidy up, but Cassidy suplexes! The fans fire up as Cassidy and Keith crawl, tag to Davis! Davis BLASTS Ospreay, then he taunts Hobbs & Briscoe!

Davis goes back to Cassidy, suplexes, but STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE hits! Cassidy hurries, reaches out, hot tag to Hobbs! The fans fire up as Hobbs pushes through Davis and BLASTS the Murder Machines! The ref tells Archer to stop but Archer scares the ref off! Briscoe REDNECK PALM STRIKES the chair into Archer!! Briscoe has the chair now, and he sets it up so he can FLY!! The Chicken takes out the Murder Machines! Keith has Ospreay and kicks him!

Keith underhooks, Ospreay wrenches out! Ospreay then runs to springboard, OSCUTTER!! HIDDEN BLADE!! Cover, Ospreay’s team wins!

Winners: Will Ospreay, Will Hobbs, Orange Cassidy & Mark Briscoe, by pinfall

But then Davis gets Ospreay in a SLEEPER!! The fans boo as Davis squeezes the air out of Ospreay! APRON POWERBOMB for Cassidy, APRON CHOKE SLAM for Briscoe! The Murder Machines mug Hobbs, shout at the kids in the crowd, and then they bring the steel steps around! MURDER BOMB on the steps!! Ospreay is fading and Callis smiles as his men stand tall. NO!” Davis hesitates, but Kyle and Callis both tell Davis to do as he’s told! So Davis SMACKS Ospreay on the back!

The fans boo, and chant “You Sold Out! You Sold Out!” Davis storms off, no longer wanting a part in this. Kyle sits the chair up, then drags Ospreay up. Kyle reels Ospreay in and suplexes, FULL METAL BRAINBUSTER!! Ospreay writhes, clutching a shoulder and maybe even his neck. The fans boo as hard as they can, but Kyle stands over him, flexing and showing off the sculpted body. Kyle then tells Ospreay this ends Sunday, inside the Steel Cage. Will Ospreay fall in the City of Angels? Or can the Aerial Assassin still fly with one good wing?

Adam Copeland VS Wheeler Yuta!

The Rated R Superstar promised Jon Moxley that he’d eliminate the Death Riders one by one, until there was no one to stand between him and The Maniac. Pac was first, then with Willow Nightingale’s help, Claudio Castagnoli and Marina Shafir fell on the same night. The Decoder is the last line of defense, will even he be the victim of a Con-Chair-To? Or does Yuta have what it takes to cope with the situation?

The bell rings and the fans fire up for Cope. Cope and Yuta step up, tie up, and Cope powers Yuta to a corner. The ref counts, Cope lets off at 4, and then backs up. The fans tell Yuta, “Get a Haircut!” but he ignores that while brushing hair out of his eyes. The two tie up again, Cope puts Yuta in another corner, but he again backs off as the ref counts. But then Cope blocks Yuta’s kick! Cope lets off, oddly being a good sport with Yuta. They tie up, and then Cope trips Yuta! Yuta is annoyed and he resets with Cope. They knuckle lock, and Yuta wrenches to trip Cope, then GROUND DRAGON SCREW! Yuta gets in Cope’s face while fans boo.

Cope shrugs that off and resets with Yuta. They go again, and Cope wrenches. Yuta chinbars but Cope wrenches again. Yuta rolls, handsprings, and breaks free. Yuta runs, Cope follows and LARIATS! The fans fire up for Cope while he paces. Cope drags Yuta up, headlocks, but Yuta powers up and out. Cope runs Yuta over, then keeps moving. Yuta drops down, Cope sunset flips, but Yuta rolls through to high stack! TWO and Cope has the sunset flip again, TWO! Yuta has a leg, ANKLE LOCK! Cope endures, rolls, and he kicks Yuta away. Then he MONKEY FLIPS Yuta on the rebound! Cope arm-drags and has the cording hold!

The fans cheer as Cope shows he can go hold for hold with this young, former three-time ROH Pure Champion. Yuta gets frustrated by that, and he fights up. Yuta powers Cope to a corner, then lets off just to CHOP! The fans boo but Yuta CHOPS again! Yuta talks trash, then RAMS into Cope. Yuta whips, Cope reverses, but Yuta goes up and over! Yuta arm-drags Cope, arm-drags again, then DROPKICKS! Yuta kips up, soaks up heat, then runs corner to corner. Cope puts Yuta on the apron, ROCKS him, then slides under to YANK Yuta down! The fans fire up while Cope stalks Yuta, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Cope drags Yuta up, puts him in the ring, and stalks him to a corner. Cope fires a forearm, then another. Cope whips, Yuta reverses, but Cope BOOTS Yuta away. Cope goes up, leaps over Yuta, but the leg jams! Yuta grins and DDTS Cope down! Yuta smirks, then he rains down fists! The ref reprimands about closed fists, but Yuta lets off. Yuta paces around Cope, soaks up the heat, and then CHOKES Cope on the ropes! The ref counts, Yuta stops at 4, and reminds the ref that he has ’til five. Yuta then goes back to Cope, goes out to the apron, and he stands on Cope’s neck! The ref counts, Yuta stops at 4 again, then he puts Cope in position for a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP!

Yuta drags Cope back from the ropes, covers, TWO! Cope is still in this but Yuta stays on him with a cravat and neck wrench. Cope endures, the fans rally, but Yuta puts on the pressure. Cope fights up, fires body shots, but Yuta fires a KNEE! Yuta then turns Cope for a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Yuta snarls, pushes Cope down, then drops a KNEE! Yuta clamps on with a chinlock and he grinds Cope down. Dynamite returns to single picture, and fans are dueling?! “Let’s Go, Yuta!” “YUTA SUCKS!” Cope fights up to his feet, fires body shots, then swings, but into an RIGHT ANGLE SLAM! Cover, TWO!

Cope survives and Yuta is frustrated, but Yuta looks to the corner. Yuta climbs up, but Cope rises to UPPERCUT! The fans rally as Cope HEADBUTTS Yuta! Cope climbs, CLUBS Yuta’s back, then CLUBS him again. And again! And again, again, and again! The fans count all the way to TEN, then Cope brings Yuta up. Yuta fires body shots again and again, then he CLUBS away on Cope! Yuta BITES Cope’s forehead, then HEADBUTTS him down! DIVING SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Cope survives and Yuta is furious! Yuta hooks the arms, CATTLE MUTILATION! But Cope slips right out! Cope has Yuta’s arm for a CROSSFACE!

The fans fire up as Yuta endures! Cope pulls back on the neck, but Yuta rolls to a cover, TWO! Yuta and Cope stand, Cope BOOTS Yuta! Cope reels Yuta in, IMPALER DDT! The fans fire up as Cope gets a wild look in his eyes. Cope goes to a corner, he takes aim at Yuta, and then runs in, but Yuta BUSAIKU KNEES!! Cope tumbles out of the ring and Yuta hurries after him! Yuta drags Cope up, puts him in the ring, and then pushes Cope to the cover, TWO!! Cope survives again, but Yuta gets the arms! CATTLE MUTILATION!! Yuta holds on this time, but Cope endures! Cope powers up against the underhooks, rolls, and spins things around!

Cope has chicken wings, for a GLAM SLAM!! Shoutout to Beth and both men are down! The fans rally for “COPE! COPE! COPE!” as he crawls to ropes. Yuta stands, Cope runs up, but Yuta hurdles! Cope trips up into ropes, Yuta runs at him, but Cope sends Yuta out. Yuta rewinds but Cope’s on the move, too! SPEAR!! Cover, Cope wins!!

Winner: Adam Copeland, by pinfall

The Decoder was good, but Cope had his own solution to the puzzle! But now the question is… What will Cope do to Yuta? Cope has a mic, and he shakes Yuta’s hand?! Cope tells Yuta, “This is what respect feels like.” Cope choosing to take a more diplomatic approach here, knowing that what Moxley puts Yuta through is torture enough. Will we see there’s still a shred of dignity inside The Decoder? Oh, wait, speaking of Moxley, he storms out from the crowd! Moxley is upset with Yuta and that handshake, he wanted Yuta and Cope to murder each other! Moxley pushes Yuta around, and says Yuta better not be listening to Cope’s crap.

The fans boo as Moxley bullies Yuta more, pushing and pie facing him around! The fans now chant for Yuta to stand up to Moxley! Yuta does, by pushing past him! Moxley tells Yuta to get back here, then storms to the back to follow him. Moxley says fine, keep walking! If Moxley sees Yuta again…! Moxley grumbles about Cope being a master manipulator, then he talks to Cope through the camera. “Congratulations, Cope, you did it! I’m all alone! I’ll be all alone at Revolution. Defenseless. I’ll be like a sheep. You think you can just pick me off that easy? That’s what you think? Alright, you win, man. You win. You got to me!

“You pissed me off. You distracted me. You’ve wasted my time. You’ve brought out the worst in me, Copeland. You’ve successfully rattled my cage. Congratulations. But the bars were there for your safety. Now you’ve got me all alone, just like you wanted. What’re you gonna do with that, huh? What’re you gonna do to me on Sunday at Revolution? Nothing, that’s what you’ll do. You’ll do NOTHING! Rated R Superstar? You deserve to get your ass beat! And I’m gonna enjoy doing it! I’m gonna enjoy every second of beating your ass, because you deserve it and because I want to. Cuz it’s gonna make me feel good.

“Respect? You’re trying to show this kid about respect with a handshake? No. This business… There is no respect in this business! There never has been! I seem to be the only guy who gets that! You get respect one way in this business: when people know that you are willing to pull the trigger. And you pulled the trigger on me one, two, three times. Sunday at Revolution, I only gotta pull the trigger once.” Moxley storms off, but is he playing right into Cope’s hands? Or will there be no end to The Maniac’s reign of terror?

The Outrunners speak.

Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd meet by the Tower Bridge. Truth says this is their shot, and it may never come again. Turbo says yeah, but they’re ready to win those AEW World Tag Team Championships. WIN! We then get an Outrunners music video, “You Are Not Alone,” supposedly released… in 1987? And the video is of course a training montage straight outta Rocky. Will the Youngest Men Alive have the eye of the tiger as they take on The Hurt Syndicate?

MJF is still outside.

And it would seem he’s waiting for Hangman to come find him. MJF yells, “Hangman! Where you at, bud?” MJF says this is so typical. Renee Paquette walks up to MJF and says he’s obviously waiting for Hangman, but what’s the game plan? MJF says it doesn’t matter, because clearly Hangman isn’t going to show. Your cowboy is a gutless, yellow-bellied coward! And this Sunday, MJF will prove Hangman is not the main character. AEW’s main character, whether you like it or not, is MAXWELL! JACOB! FRIEDMAN! M J F! Wait, that longhorn-adorned R1T is pulling up… And it’s not stopping!! MJF and Renee run for it!

Hangman pulls over, gets out of the truck, and shouts, “Why you running, dumbass?! Get back here!!” Hangman stalks MJF, enters the building, and spots him! Hangman CLOBBERS MJF, they brawl onto the stage, and the fans fire up as Hangman throws MJF into railing! Wait, that’s not MJF! It’s just some guy in a matching suit and scarf! The guy pleads with Hangman, MJF made him do this! What?! MJF then CLOBBERS Hangman from behind! The Scumbag is the real coward, needing a decoy! MJF then THROWS Hangman into the apron! MJF drags Hangman in through the ropes, for a HEAT- NO, Hangman throws MJF away!

MJF’s leg buckles, Hangman takes aim! Slingshot, BUCK- LOW BLOW!! MJF hits Hangman first, then puts Hangman back in the ropes. The fans boo but MJF hits the HEATSEEKER!! MJF takes off his belt, takes off his button-up shirt, and reveals his T-shirt that reads “MJF DID NOTHING WRONG.” The fans boo because that’s just not true. MJF rains down fists on Hangman, security rushes out here, but MJF DECKS each guard, one after the other! MJF then brings out the Dynamite Diamond Ring, puts it on his pinkie, and- HANGMAN TACKLES HIM! The fans fire up as Hangman rains fists down in return!

MJF gets loose, DIAMOND PUNCH!! The fans boo but MJF gives the ring a kiss. MJF then goes out and grabs a mic. “You people love when your precious cowboy burns things, don’t you? Let’s see how you hypocrites feel when I do it.” MJF looks under the ring, and he brings out LIGHTER FLUID! MJF brings that over to Hangman, and he squirts it all over Hangman! The fans boo, but then MJF produces a lighter! Refs, security, producers, they ALL rush MJF! They tackle MJF to get that lighter away from MJF, and then get MJF away from Hangman! MJF shouts, “LEMME PROVE MY POINT!” MJF has gone completely insane!

Security carries MJF away kicking and screaming, but what will happen when he and Hangman face off at Revolution? Will the Devil of AEW actually burn The Cowboy alive?

Backstage interview with Ash Avildsen.

Lexy Nair is with the writer and director of the new film, Queen of the Ring, and asks what he can tell us about the movie. Ash says it is based on the true story of Mildred Burke, a small town single mother that pioneered Women’s Wrestling when it was illegal all over America. It has been an honor for him to bring her story to the screen, to work with all the great people here in AEW, from Tony Khan to Jim Ross, who told him about the original novel, and also introduced him to this leading lady. In steps Timeless Toni Storm! Toni says yes, “Mr. DeMille,” that is true, she is starring in the film as Clara Mortensen, “a vivacious vixen, captivating champion, and gorgeous gal.”

Clearly, it was a stretch for Toni. It is a great film, but her only regret is that her nude scenes were cut from the picture. Ash perfectly plays along as he says, “Now, now, darling.” As wonderful as those scenes were, it still had to be PG-13 so that families could come out and see the picture. Toni is box office gold, she may or may not be living healthily as part of his private collection on Mulholland Drive. Lexy says either way, Toni also has a sit-down interview with Renee Paquette and her challenger, Mariah May. Toni says that is also correct. “Mr. DeMille” shouldn’t watch this one. Things could get ugly.

In the meantime… Chin up, tits out, and watch for the Queen of the Ring, in theaters this Friday, March 7th! And now… We pose! Toni gets her close-up from Ash Avildsen, will Queen of the Ring and Revolution make for back to back blockbusters this weekend? Or will it still be All About Mariah?

“Fate’s Descent” takes down the former AEW Women’s World Champion! But will nothing stop the ascent of the Megasus?

Backstage interview with Mercedes Mone.

Renee gives the full introduction for The CEO, the AEW TBS Champion, #FourBeltsMone, and Mone is so excited. “Sacramentooo~! Say hello to your C E O!” Renee says this Sunday at Revolution, Mone will be facing Momo Watanabe with the TBS title on the line. Mone and Momo met before, but- Mone says she beat Momo. Look, Momo is legit. She is one of the best in Japan, and has beaten some of the best, just to get her shot at Mone. But Mone is the greatest TBS Champion of all time? And there’s no what? Uh, no stopping the Money Train? That’s right, Renee! That’s right!

But before that, AEW Collision will see Momo Watanabe facing Serena Deeb. Does Mone have any predictions for that match? Predictions? We’re talking Serena Deeb here. The Professor of Pro-Wrestling! The Woman of 1000 Holds! So come Collision, Mone will be watching. And Serena will break Momo for Mone. Because come Revolution, it will be a walk in the park. Why? Because that’s the price you pay? NO, not that catchphrase! W-which one then? “Money changes everything.” Well, will Mone get her money’s worth when Momo enters Deeb’s Dojo?

Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge: Max Caster VS ???

Platinum Max is back at it, but uh, he’s already 0-3 at his own challenge. Caster makes sure Justin Roberts introduces himself properly, then he copies MJF with his, “Cut my music, cut my music.” The fans boo but Caster says Sacramento is “lookin’ live at the Best Wrestler Alive. And we all know Platinum Max is the most talked about wrestler in AEW. Whenever I’m in the ring, I hear all the Maximaniacs talking! People over here are saying one thing, people over there are saying another thing. But tonight, I want us to all get on the same page. Try to follow along. Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive! Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive!”

What happened to his sense of rhythm? That is way too awkward of a chant. The fans prefer to boo anyway. Caster says alright, that was a good effort. We’re not gonna get it right on day one. They call this Sac Town for a reason: They’re all a bunch of ball bags! The fans boo, but Caster says no worries, there’s business to attend to. Let’s see who can survive the Best Wrestler Alive! It’s JAY WHITE! The fans fire up for The Switchblade while Caster has a bit of a freak-out. Will Caster learn to Breathe with the Switchblade?

The fans tell Caster he messed up! The bell rings, Caster and White circle, but then Caster says hold on. Caster picks up his certificate to show it off, then he tries that stupid chant, “Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive!” The fans still boo, then White catches Caster in a clinch! BLADERUNNER!! White mocks the chant, then covers, White wins!

Winner: Jay White, by pinfall

Rush, Hangman Page, Brody King, and now Jay White. Four in a row, all loses for Platinum Max. But White grabs the mic to say, “At Worlds End, the Rated R Superstar joined the fight against The Death Riders. And since that day, that man has had my back. And since that day, I have had his. And now, Moxley’s all alone. And this Sunday, Revolution, I will be there to see in the NEW AEW World Champion, Cope!” The fans cheer that, and then White makes sure Caster has his certificate. Will Jay White be right? Will we finally have a NEW AEW World Champion?

Sit-down interview with Toni Storm & Mariah May.

As promised, Renee sits down between the AEW Women’s World Champion and her challenger, these former friends turned bitterest of enemies. Renee welcomes us in, thanks them both for agreeing to this talk, and for agreeing to no physicality. Except Mariah immediately SPITS at Toni! Renee is rather startled, and Toni flatly says, “It’s nice to know you still care.” Renee asks Mariah, “What the hell is wrong with you!?” Mariah says, “Me?! It’s her! Look at what she made me do! Look at what she made me do to someone that I love! Sitting there like you’re the victim. You started this! You created all of this!”

Renee says NO, Mariah did this! Mariah came into Toni’s life, she started this! Mariah says she made it all work! All of it! But this is all because of Toni, all because of them together! Toni is nothing without Mariah. That title is nothing without Mariah! Toni survived in Australia, but there will be no surviving at Revolution, because they will both go down together. Is Toni proud of Mariah because she’s a “sick b*tch?” Well, then she’ll be the sickest Toni has ever seen! She is the Woman From Hell, and she will drag Toni down there with her, because deep down, Toni knows that Mariah did it better! Toni is still stern and stoic.

Mariah creeps a little closer, leaning on Renee a bit as she asks, “Isn’t this what you always wanted? A trilogy with your greatest costar, and it’s back where we first shared a ring together, at Revolution. We can have a Hollywood Ending, the one we always dreamed of.” Toni says, “You do not deserve the dignity of death. I sentence you to a lifetime of mediocrity. Your life will continue, your career will continue, and it will be good, but never great. People will like you, but never love you. Because the star that you are will not compare to the monster that you’ve become. So you will dwindle, be replaced, and be forgotten.

“Then one day, many years from now, someone will ask, ‘Whatever will happened to Mariah May?’ She found out what happens when you try to kill God.” Mariah throws her chair aside, she and Toni both stay up, and Renee says she simply prays neither of them gets seriously injured. Both Mariah and Toni tell Renee, “Pray for her.” Win, lose or draw, this WILL be the finale of a true classic! But will it be a tragic ending? Or will it be timeless?

Okada leaps over Brody, comes back to BOOT, then UPPERCUTS! Okada runs, but Brody roars and LARIATS! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Okada and Brody crawl, hot tags to Ricochet and Swerve!

Ricochet panics and pumps on the brakes, does a U-turn, but Okada’s not there! The fans fire up as Swerve CLOBBERS Ricochet! And CLOBBERS him again! Swerve whips, hip tosses, and then gator rolls Ricochet for the deadlift suplex! Cover, TWO! Ricochet survives but Swerve stays focused. The fans fire up again as Swerve drags Ricochet up and reels him in. But Ricochet wrenches out to ROCK Swerve! Ricochet lifts, Swerve slips free to ROCK Ricochet! Swerve runs, into the Tiger Wall Kick! SOBAT! V-TRIGGER! ROLLING- NO, Swerve wrenches and spins Ricochet, POWER LIFT POWER- DDT!! Cover off that wild counter, TWO!!!

Ricochet is furious, but “This is Awesome!” Ricochet goes to the corner, he locks ‘n’ loads, then runs in for the SPIRIT- NO, Swerve ducks the Spirit Gun! Swerve kicks, Ricochet blocks, and Ricochet spins Swerve to get the dragon sleeper! VERTI- NO, Swerve slips free and half nelsons! BIG PRES- NO, Ricochet victory rolls through! TWO!!! Swerve narrowly escapes, and he somersaults for the FLATLINER!! Swerve kips up, runs up, HOUSE CALL!! The fans are thunderous, but Swerve isn’t done with just one! Swerve goes up, up, and KILL STOMP!! But Okada is up top!? MACHO ELBOW breaks the cover!

Brody storms in and fires forearms with Okada! The fans fire up with each shot, then Brody CHOPS! And fireman’s carries, but Okada slips free! Ripcord, but Brody BOOTS the lariat away! Then he SPLASHES in the corner! Okada sits down, Brody has the fans barking! CANNONBALL misses as Okada moves! Okada grabs his Continental Championship! Okada storms into the ring with it, but gets a HOUSE CALL!! Brody LARIATS Okada up and out! But Ricochet has the belt, to CLOBBER Swerve!! Ricochet covers, and wins!!

Winner: Ricochet & Kazuchika Okada, by pinfall

Another dirty, underhanded tactic takes the win away from Swerve! Will Ricochet use this exact same strategy to win at Revolution? Or will cheating The Most Dangerous Man in AEW end very, very badly?

My Thoughts:

An awesome episode of Dynamite here, especially as a go-home to Revolution. For one, great stuff from MJF and Hangman, such as Hangman making good on his promise to go after MJF with his truck. Very clever stuff with the decoy, and then a very good brawl. MJF threatening to light Hangman on fire was also wild, but a clever direction to take this. Obviously he wasn’t gonna pull it off here, but I’m sure MJF will try it at Revolution. Jack Perry once got set on fire with proper precautions, I wonder if they’ll actually do it for MJF and Hangman.

Great 8 Man Tag to do a lot in the Don Callis Family story at once. While Ospreay’s team wins, them getting beat down does help muddy the go-home math. Obviously Cassidy & Briscoe are going to help Big Boom AJ win against #MXMTV on Sunday, so they have to be figuratively on the ropes here. Davis being reluctantly part of what happened to Ospreay makes me think Davis will ditch the Don Callis Family and help Ospreay win the cage match. And with word Jeff Cobb could be joining AEW in the near future, I feel like the United Empire will finally get going in AEW as a trio to start.

Cope VS Yuta was not at all the match I expected, but clearly that was per Cope’s plan. Cope wants Yuta to understand that he doesn’t have to be alongside Moxley anymore, and for the moment, it seems to have worked. Yuta could still stick by Moxley’s side given Jay White is sticking by Cope’s, but I guess we’ll wait and see. White answering Caster’s open challenge was good stuff given it also did two birds with one stone: Caster continues to lose because of his ego, and White got a win that he can carry to the other side of Revolution.

Very good tag match from Kris & Rosa VS Megan & Ford, and it makes sense the Heels would win this given Megan has already become quite the force here in AEW. Depending on how things go with titles, Megan could easily be in line for at least the TBS Championship. Mone had a very good promo to not only hype her match with Momo on Sunday, but to add a little something to Collision. In fact, Collision is being taped tonight right now after Dynamite so that everyone can rest up before Revolution. Mone on commentary for Momo VS Deeb will be good stuff, but I would think Momo wins. The go-home math will then favor Mone winning on the PPV.

I loved that Outrunners vignette, because it was very on-brand for their 1980s throwback gimmick. But as much as fans love them, and as awesome as it would be for them to pull off the upset, I don’t see Truth & Turbo winning the tag titles just yet. It just seems that we’re going to get Lashley & Shelton VS Archer & Cage first, given how the Hurt Syndicate purposefully made sure Archer & Cage lost the tag match. Though who knows, maybe Archer & Cage are why Truth & Turbo win as payback for that very screw job last week.

Great stuff in the AEW Women’s World Championship story. For one, Ash Avildsen playing along with Toni was a really fun promo. Then, Toni Storm and Mariah May probably gave us AEW’s best sit-down interview promo ever, because of how expectations were subverted from start to finish. Mariah spitting at Toni was her way around the No Physicality Agreement, and then Mariah was rather, uh, bipolar with how she talked to Toni. First she was upset, then she was almost pleading with Toni, because somewhere in that twisted mind, there’s still love there. Toni being completely stern that whole time was also a great way to play it. Their Hollywood Ending Falls Count Anywhere really could go either way, but I’m leaning towards Toni retaining.

And awesome stuff from Swerve and Ricochet tonight. Their contract signing to open was really good, especially with Swerve countering Ricochet’s shiny gold scissors with pitch black scissors. I am pretty sure Ricochet’s “upgraded” Embassy robe will be all about himself, but I would think they’d use a different robe as well, like a stand-in stunt robe or something just so they don’t actually do anything to the Embassy robe. The tag match main event was rather outta nowhere but it was still awesome stuff, and it also serves multiple go-home math equations at once. The Heels stand tall, Ricochet pinning Swerve, because I’m pretty sure Swerve wins at Revolution. Okada VS Brody could still go either way, but it’d be a great honor for Brody to not just beat Okada but to win the title.

My Score: 9/10
