And like before, he comes on through the concourse with the WWE Universe, and says, “Hey, Uce! Please hit my music! Uh, uh, YEET!!” Memphis fires up and sings along with that Day One Ish! Then they get their bounce on with Jey while he heads down the bleachers and to ringside. And much like in Cleveland, they bounce along as Jey’s on the corner! Jey keeps it going and the fans are with him! They might just YEET all night if they could! Jey grabs a mic and the fans chant for “One More Time! One More Time!” Jey says aight. MORE YEET! Jey finally says, “Main Event Jey Uso is now in your citaaay~!”
Jey hears the “YEET!” continue, but he says he has had a hell of a week. He got a lotta love. “YEET!” From his family. “YEET!” From his friends. “YEET!” And from the fans. “YEET!” Your 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble Winner! “YEET!” The fans now chant, “You Deserve It! YEET!” Jey says okay, but he’s here to pick a champion to main event with at WrestleMania. On Monday right, he had the Ring General, Gunther. So it is only right that he pulls up on Smackdown to be face to face with the WWE Champion. So Memphis, help him welcome his dawg, The American Nightmare, Cody Rhodes! The fans now fire up as Cody makes his entrance!
The fans sing along with Cody’s song, “WHOA~ OH!” and we get the pyro! Cody high-fives fans as he heads down the ramp, then he steps into the ring to join Jey. Cody and Jey hug at the second “WHOA~ OH~!” then Cody grabs a mic. The fans chant between “CODY! CODY!” and “YEET!” Cody tells Memphis, and Main Event Jey Uso, “I think I know what you wanna talk about.” We get a look at the WrestleMania sign, and Jey tells Cody, “Uce, you know why I’m here, right? You do. I got two choices to make, Uce. Just two. I can stand across from you on the Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania. That’d mean a lot to me.
“Or… I can stand next to you, you still WWE Champ, and me the NEW World Heavyweight Champ.” The fans like both ideas! Cody says that’s quite the choice to make. He spoke to his doctor this week after that ladder match, and he was told that there’s fluid in his elbow that needs to be drained, a hip that is out of alignment, a bunch of lower back medical jargon he wasn’t really paying attention to. Cody’s doctor is a nice guy, but he’s not the WWE Champion. And one of the things that the doc left out is a good diagnosis: how good Cody’s heart is, how absolutely 100% proud Cody is of Jey Uso winning the Royal Rumble!
The fans cheer, and Cody says he knows this is Jey’s choice. But that sign there, having fought for it, having his choice taken from him and then fighting to get it back, that is Jey’s sign to point out this year. This is Jey’s WrestleMania! They’ve had some good moments in this ring together. They won tag team gold together. They had a libation or two. This arena is right off Biel Street… They could do that all over again, y’know what he’s saying? But Jey, as much as Jey has this choice, Cody has to go to WrestleMania. And for this title reign to be complete, he has to not only be in the main event, he has to win.
So if Jey chooses Cody, they’ll make a memory here tonight and have some absolute fun, because it’ll be the last time. Does Jey feel Cody on that? Cody and Jey shake hands, but wait! Jacob Fatu & Tama Tonga are here! The Samoan Werewolf and Good Bad Guy go to the ring, but Cody & Jey stand their ground. Tama grabs a mic to say, “Shh… YEHYEHYEHYEHYEH! YEH YEH YEH YEH!” Jacob adds a “Yeeeeah. Okay. First off, Cody Rhodes! Last year, you took that title from my family. But as of now, Cody, my family needs that title back. Which that takes me to you, Jey Uso. Big cousin! Mr. Yeet Man! Mr. 25 Royal Rumble winner!”
Jacob tells “Big Cousin” to not get it twisted, keep it 100. If it is anyone that brings that title back to the family, it sure to Hell ain’t gonna be Jey’s ass! Tama storms up but Jey SUPERKICKS him! So Jacob SUPERKICKS Jey! Cody fires hands on Jacob! But Jacob WRINGS Cody’s bad arm out! And then BODY CHECKS him! The fans boo but Jacob hammers away on Cody in the corner! Jacob throws off his jacket, goes to the far corner, but Jey SUPERKICKS him! Cody hurries to springboard, CODY CUTTER! Jey & Cody then DOUBLE LARIAT Jacob up and out! Tama & Jacob regroup to retreat, but surely this isn’t the end of things between Rhodes and these rogues!
In fact, Nick Aldis makes it official during the break! Cody & Jey VS Jacob & Tama in a massive tag team match! Will the American Nightmare & Main Event Jey look to YEET Jacob & Tama out of the way on this Road to WrestleMania?
Women’s Elimination Chamber Qualifier: Bianca Belair w/ Naomi VS Piper Niven w/ Chelsea Green!
The StrongEST Glow may not have won the Women’s Royal Rumble, but they are still WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. However, Bianca is still joining the chase for a world title shot! Will Bianca break into the Elimination Chamber and head for WrestleMania? Or will the “Secret Her-vice” take the lead on going for more gold?
The bell rings, the two storm up, but Bianca slips around Piper to wrench and torture- NO, Piper fights free, scoops, but Bianca fights fere! Bianca goes to a corner, Piper runs in, but Bianca dodges! Bianca RAMS into Piper again and again, then lets off to fire up Memphis. Bianca says kiss this, then she RAMS Piper again! Bianca climbs up, the fans count along as she rains down fists! But Piper slips out at 5, and she uses the braid to pull Bianca down! Piper then uses the braid to reel Bianca in for a short arm LARIAT! The fans boo but Piper stalks Bianca. Piper bumps Bianca off buckles, then RAMS into her now!
The ref counts, Piper stops at 4 to push Bianca down. Piper talks trash, then runs up, but Bianca DUMPS Piper out of the ring! Chelsea is upset but Bianca WRECKS Piper with a dropkick! Bianca then brings Piper around, only for Piper to RAM her into the LED apron! Then she SPLASHES Bianca against the LED apron! The fans boo but Piper SENTONS Bianca on the floor! Piper soaks up the heat while SmackDown goes picture in picture.
Piper drags Bianca up, Bianca fires body shots, but Piper SMACKS her off the top of the apron. Piper puts Bianca in, stalks her, but Bianca fires forearms! Bianca runs, RAMS Piper, but Piper rebounds to CLOBBER Bianca! Piper soaks up more heat before she covers, TWO! Bianca is tougher than that, but Piper clamps on a chinlock. Bianca endures, fights up, then Bianca fires body shots. But Piper scoops, to SLAM Bianca! Bianca goes to a corner while Piper taunts Memphis. Chelsea cheers while Piper storms up on Bianca. Piper climbs up, and now she rains down fists! Piper really puts heat on them, but Bianca slips out at 5!
Bianca pries Piper from the corner in an Electric Chair, then SLAMS her onto the buckles! Piper sputters, Bianca gets space, and Bianca runs back in to RAM Piper again! Bianca climbs up, and she rains down more fists! Bianca gets to nine but Piper slips out again! Piper goes after the braid like before, but Bianca backflips through! Bianca then dodges Piper, and DROPKICKS her! Piper storms back up but Bianca headlocks. CORNER BULLDOG! Piper staggers back, runs back up, but Bianca ROCKS her first! Bianca bumps Piper off buckles, then goes side to side to do it again! Bianca climbs, takes aim, and SmackDown returns to single picture.
The fans fire up as Bianca CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Chelsea is relieved but Naomi coaches Bianca up. Bianca drags Piper to her feet, and goes for the torture rack! Piper fights free again, and HEADBUTTS Bianca! Piper whips, then scoops for a SCRAPBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Bianca survives and Chelsea can’t believe it! Piper runs, but Bianca avoids the senton! Bianca then runs and SPEARS Piper down! High stack, TWO! Bianca is sent into buckles and she falls in a heap! Piper runs corner to corner, and she CANNONBALLS into Bianca! Piper goes up, up, and Chelsea cheers, but Bianca CLUBS Piper on the back!
Piper fires back and Bianca staggers away. Bianca runs up, but into an URENAGE! Piper goes up again, Chelsea says finish this! VADER BOMB! Cover, TWO!! Bianca survives again and Piper is growing frustrated. Chelsea is frustrated, too, but the fans rally for “E S T! E S T!” Piper brings Bianca up, scoops, but Bianca slips free! Bianca goes to a corner, dodges Piper, and then has Piper in the ropes to BOOT her into the post! Piper is dazed, Bianca hoists her up, torture rack! The fans are thunderous for the KISS OF DEATH!! Cover, Bianca wins!

Nick Aldis welcomes Kayden Carter & Katana Chance to SmackDown.
The transfer window has closed, and the party girls are now officially part of the blue brand. They’re excited, but then Carmelo Hayes steps in. Aldis apologizes to KC Squared as they step out, and Melo says unless this meeting is about the Elimination Chamber, maybe giving H1M a bye like Cena got, there’s nothing to talk about. Oh, but there is something to talk about. Aldis had a phone call with Adam Pearce, and Pearce wants Melo to have a match with a Raw superstar who’s in town tonight. Aldis accepted that request. Melo says no, they’re not doing this anymore. Aldis tried it with Strowman, he tried it with Priest, Melo’s not into that.
But knock knock, they’re here. And it’s Akira Tozawa! He will be Melo’s opponent after how Melo cost him his spot in the Royal Rumble. So that deserves this match. Melo says he’s changed his mind anyway, this is perfect! Melo has been wanting to wrestle Tozawa, and it’ll be a layup. Tozawa says more like airball. What was that? Who does Tozawa think he is? Tozawa will see an airball! Melo heads out, Tozawa says he’s a problem. Will the Alpha Academy’s Stamina Monster find a way to humble H1M when others couldn’t?

Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa are still WWE Tag Team Champions, only because The Street Profits cost the Motor City Machine Guns in the Best 2 Out of 3 Falls match. Though, Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins would then attack Gargano & Ciampa afterward, so clearly it wasn’t to help them. What will DIY have to say about it all? We find out, after the break.
SmackDown returns and the fans boo DIY while they grab mics. Gargano starts by telling Memphis to give it up one time for your TWO-TIME WWE Tag Team Champions~! The fans boo, but Gargano says they beat MCMG not once but twice at the Royal Rumble. That means officially, this is THE best tag team in the world! Everyone knows that the BTTITW is D I Y! And Ciampa says with that, it is safe to say that the chances of MCMG ever holding these titles again are officially dead. RIP. But that’s hard, because DIY has nothing but respect for MCMG, two indie legends! 11 years ago, they were DIY’s favorites.
So tonight, Memphis, everyone here and watching at home, please stand up. Please, they’re serious. This is for MCMG. Take your hats off, bow your heads in silence. Silence! The fans boo instead, but “YES BOY~!” Pretty Deadly is here! Elton Prince has a mic to say, “Wow, wow, wow. What a lovely sentiment that was.” Kit Wilson says they were just back there watching, having fun- Ciampa says they’re interrupting a moment of silence! But Elton says they felt it was important for them to remind DIY of all the help Pretty Deadly’s given them to keep the titles! Ciampa says what is important is that you respect this moment of silence!
The fans boo more, but now Aldis walks out here. He apologizes for interrupting, but after everything DIY has pulled, they have no business making demands about those titles. That’s Aldis’ job! As for Pretty Deadly, they don’t deserve a title shot, but they can earn one. How about Pretty Deadly VS DIY in a non-title match. If Pretty Deadly wins, they’ll be in line for a title shot. And that match? It starts right now! Ciampa & Gargano are furious! They’re not dressed to compete at all! This is unprofessional! But will DIY just have to put up or shut up? We find out, after the break!

SmackDown returns, the match is already going, and Ciampa has Elton in a headlock. Elton powers up and puts Ciampa in a corner, but the ref counts. Elton backs off, but Ciampa THRWOS Elton down by his hair! Ciampa stomps Elton in the corner, then taunts Kit before he tags Gargano. Gargano whips Ciampa in, but Elton ELBOWS Ciampa back! Elton then DUMPS Gargano onto the apron! Gargano falls to the floor, Elton TOSSES Ciampa out to join him! Elton crawls, the fans fire up, but Gargano grabs Elton’s legs! Elton KICKS Gargano away, hot tag to Kit! Kit rallies on Johnny Wrestling with big forearms!
Kit whips, Gargano reverses, but Kit UPPERCUTS Gargano down! Ciampa is on the apron but Kit TOSSES him in! Kit stomps away, the fans fi reup, but Gargano runs up! Kit catches him for a SIDE EFFECT! Ciampa runs up, Kit waistlocks but Ciampa elbows free! Kit yoyos to LARIAT! The fans fire up and Kit tags Elton. #YESBOY! Kit & Elton run to the corners to UPPERCUT Gargano & Ciampa! Then Kit & Elton trade, UPPERCUTS for Ciampa & Gargano! They go again, but while Elton UPPERCUTS Ciampa, Gargano dodges Kit! The Miz talks with Andrade backstage.
The A-Lister admits to El Idolo that he was impressed last week. Andrade has great in-ring ability. With that ability and Miz’s expertise, Andrade could learn so much. Andrade says he did learn! He learned how to beat Miz. Miz tries to laugh that off, but Andrade leaves. Cody walks past and Miz says just the guy he wanted to see! “Can you believe this young crop of talent? They don’t have the respect for guys like us. These guys, they would never have our backs. Don’t you worry, we’re old school. I’ll always have your back.” Cody says he doesn’t need that. Oh, well, okay, Miz gets it. Road to WrestleMania, very exciting, very unpredictable.
Miz knows how it was last year. It was Cody’s story. The entire world was behind Cody Rhodes! But now, you heard ’em. It’s Jey’s story. Miz gets Cody wants to be a good guy, be Jey’s friend, but we know what this title does to friendships. Kevin Owens, for example. Miz is just saying, what if Jey Uso does choose Cody? Is Cody still gonna be Jey’s friend? Because to be honest, Jey VS Cody in the main event of WrestleMania is one hell of a story. Miz heads out, and we see Shinsuke Nakamura lurking in the shadows. What is going to happen as this Road to WrestleMania takes more twists and turns?
Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifier Triple Threat: Jimmy Uso VS LA Knight VS Drew McIntyre!
With spots filling up fast in the Men’s Elimination Chamber match, SmackDown is giving #BigJim, The Mega Star, and the Scottish Terminator a huge opportunity. There will be even more qualifiers on Monday, so who will represent the blue brand in Toronto?
Before the match, McIntyre grabs a mic to say after he was eliminated from behind by a coward, he want to the back very angry, he may’ve torn some things up, said some things, then he got in his car. He drove from Indy back to Nashville, slept in his own bed, full of rage. And when he woke up in the morning, he suddenly had clarity. He had an epiphany. He got out of his huge bed in his huge house, alongside his hot wife, looked in the mirror and said, “By God, you are jacked and handsome, Drew McIntyre.” But then why is he so angry? He realized, it is a product of his environment. Raw is a toxic workplace! They all stab you in the back, they all have egos!
If you’re a good person just telling the truth, you’re apparently the bad guy. That bald idiot, Adam Pearce, has no idea what he’s doing! McIntyre needed a solution, and that’s when he got a call on his phone. Nick Aldis was calling. They’ve known each other since they were teenagers, and Aldis told McIntyre that he wants McIntyre on SmackDown. Aldis promised no more BS, McIntyre can finally be unleashed, Drew can be Drew 100%. So why is McIntyre here? He’s here for Cody Rhodes. Not even specifically Cody, but what Cody has, what was stolen from McIntyre, what should’ve been his all along: THE Undisputed WWE Championship!
The fans are torn, but here comes Jimmy! #BigJim has a mic to say, “Is it me? Tell me it’s not just me.” But every single week, McIntyre comes out here, lives in the past, and he sounds like… Like an angry ex-girlfriend. Drew complaining, “They stole it from me~!” Homie, nobody stole nothing from you, you lost it! And now he’s standing out here, acting like he doesn’t have to earn his spot! Drew has to get through Jimmy, he has to get through LA Knight, and Jimmy’s here to earn his. Drew says yeah, that’s cool. A couple weeks ago, Drew would be angry at what Jey had to say. Oh, Jimmy, sorry!
Jimmy laughs that off, and Drew says it has been 20 years, he still can’t tell them apart. But Drew says it must eat Jimmy alive that, with how he and his twin brother are so similar, just as talented, that maybe Jimmy would be where Jey was, if he’d just said YEET first. Jimmy says that’s funny. But remember who is in front of you. This is Big Bruh, Big Jim! If he wants to say yeet, he can say it. Watch! YEET! If he wants to say NO YEET, he can. Watch! NO YEET! So reminder, Jimmy’s got to get his, punch his ticket, go to Vegas, cash the chips, and get his! So yeah, there is a difference. Jey clocked his. Where’s Drew’s?
So if Drew wants to go to Mania, he’s gotta go through Big Jim! Then he’s gotta get through Elimination Chamber! But Jimmy doesn’t live in the past. He’s here in the present, ready to kick Drew’s ass! Jimmy Uso is going to WrestleMania, Uce! Mics drop, but the Mega Star finally joins in! And he of course has a mic to say, “Let me go and get right to this. Jimmy Uso, Big Jim, whatever you wanna call yourself, I ain’t got any love for you. You’re the main reason I didn’t become WWE Champion just a little over a year ago. So I ain’t got any love for you, but I ain’t gonna complain about it, I’m gonna make good on it tonight.
“But… If I could for a second, I do need to say this. In my life, in my career, I wanna be somebody who affects good change before I die. So I’m gonna speak to all the men, all the boys here in Memphis tonight and around the world. I mean this from the bottom of my heart: If something arises in your life that hits you in the feels and you have to cry, let it out. It’s good for your mental health, it’s good for you, it doesn’t make you any less of a man.” Memphis cheers that! Knight says with that, there is a line where it becomes too much. There are there guarantees in this life: Death, taxes, and Drew McIntyre crying like a damn baby!
Knight says BAH GAWD, Monday through Friday, every single week, Drew just cries! Knight’s pretty sure he heard someone back here say it was “Drew McIncryer.” But to get the silliness out of the way, what we’re talking bout is WrestleMania, and Elimination Chamber, and Knight giving Drew and Jimmy something real to cry about. And that is Knight giving them both three just like that, all their dreams getting dashed, and so it goes. Oh, wait, Knight forgot to get his stuff in. Memphis, tell ’em whose game this is: “L! A! KNIGHT! YEAH!!” The fans are fired up and this one couldn’t be any more intense! But will it blow the roof off the place? We find out, after the break.
SmackDown returns, the match is already going, and Jimmy & Knight are actually working together to stomp a mudhole into Drew! “YEAH! NO YEET! YEAH! NO YEET!” but then Jimmy TOSSES Knight! Knight stays on the apron, RAMS into Jimmy, but Drew runs up! Knight slingshots to SHOUDLER TAKCLE Drew! Knight stomps away on Jimmy in a corner, “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” Drew SLAPS Knight, so Knight SLAPS Drew! They scrap, Drew wants a sleeper but Jimmy HEADBUTTS him, then HEADBUTTS Knight! Jimmy CHOPS Knight, CHOPS again, then whips him to a corner. Knight reverses, Jimmy goes up and over, and he mule kicks Knight!
Jimmy pops ‘n’ locks and UPPERCUTS Knight! Drew CLOBBERS Jimmy, stomps away on Knight, then soaks up the heat from Memphis. Drew stands Jey up to CHOP him! Jey ends up on ropes, Drew storms up to whip him, but Jimmy ducks ‘n’ dodges to fireman’s carry and SAMOAN DROP! Cover, but Knight breaks it! Knight stands Jimmy up but Jimmy UPPERCUTS first! And CHOPS! And CHOPS again! Jimmy pops ‘n’ locks again, but Knight dodges the shot to scoop and POWERSLAM! Knight fires up, the fans are with him, “L! A! KNIGHT! YEAH!” Knight runs, into a GLASGOW KISS HEADBUTT!
Drew snarls as he stands over Knight, then he stalks Knight to the ropes. Drew stands Knight up to reel him in, for a BROKEN ARROW! Perhaps a shot at Damian Priest just because? Drew BROKEN ARROWS Jimmy, too! Drew storms up to stomp Jimmy’s hand! Jimmy staggers to a corner but Drew CHOPS him! Drew whips Jimmy corner to corner hard, then he goes to Knight. Drew clinches to OVERHEAD SUPLEX Knight across the way! The fans are torn but Drew soaks up the cheers and jeers. Drew brings Jimmy around to whip, but Jimmy reverses to TOSS Drew out! Jimmy then DIVES, down goes Drew in front of the desk!
But Knight WRECKS Jimmy into the desk! Knight then brings Drew up to DRIBBLE him off the desk! “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” Jimmy storms up but Knight counter punches him! And now Knight DRIBBLES Jimmy off the desk! “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” Knight brings Jimmy around for one more big SMACK! Knight stands on the desk, the fans fire up with him, and SmackDown goes picture in picture.
Knight drags Drew around by his legs, stomps him low, then goes to Jimmy. Knight puts Jimmy in the ring, then along the apron. Knight CLUBS Jimmy in the chest, then storms up on Drew. Drew kicks low, then POSTS Knight! Drew goes back to Jimmy, pulls him against the ropes, and ROCKS him with a right! Drew goes looking under the ring, and he brings out a TABLE! But then seeing the fans cheer, he puts the table back under! The fans give thumbs down but Drew stomps Jimmy. Drew stomps Jimmy to a corner, stomps him more, then paces around. Drew shakes his head at those booing him, and then he drags Knight up from the apron.
Drew TOSSES Knight into the ring, stalks him to ropes, and scoops him, only for Knight to slip free! Knight shoves Drew into buckles, then hits a JUMPING NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Drew stays in this but Knight stomps him. Jimmy CHOPS Knight, Knight CHOPS Jimmy! They CHOP back and forth, then Knight fires a haymaker! And another! And another! Byron Saxton is with The Punisher and says after seeing Drew qualify for the Elimination Chamber, what is his reaction? Priest says Drew’s having a good day today. Because if he wasn’t, he’d be complaining on the internet about it by now. But that aside, Priest is going to go to that same match and eliminate Drew just like he did in the Royal Rumble. But Braun Strowman steps in to say while he appreciates Priest’s enthusiasm, he’s putting the wagon before the horse. Priest has to qualify for that match, and next week, Priest is in the ring with two of the biggest and baddest the WWE has to offer.
Priest gets that. Braun and Priest have both walked out of WrestleMania as champion. And Jacob Fatu probably will walk out of Mania as champion one day. But Priest is taking out the both of them so he can go on to WrestleMania and face a current champion. Braun says Priest is overlooking the fact that he’s not in the ring with two normal human beings. He’ll be in there with a wild animal, and also with the Monster of All Monsters. Priest says he isn’t overlooking anything. Punisher, Samoan Werewolf and #OneBigSOB, who will be the baddest man on SmackDown after that Triple Threat?

Jey says he would like to go face to face with Cody, but he’s got the personal beef with Gunther. Jey says he’s undecided right now.
Jey heads out, and that news doesn’t seem to help Cody. Will things be sorted out by the end of tonight?

Memphis has a warmer reception for The Queen than Cleveland did as she struts out to the ring. She already visited Raw on Monday and even NXT on Tuesday, so she’s finishing out her post-Rumble week with the blue brand. Charlotte has someone hold ropes open for her before she steps into the spotlight. Charlotte hears the fans “WOO~!” while she grabs a mic. “Hi, Memphis~. So what’s it gonna be tonight? Do you love me?” Fans cheer that! “Or do you hate me?” Fans boo that? “See when you boo, you know what I hear? Money~!” Charlotte says the fans can’t make up their minds, but that’s fine, because it means she lives rent free in all of our minds.
Charlotte is wrestling’s obsession! Her looks, her championships, her last name, and everything Charlotte Flair! And she knows what we’re thinking: The fans think that she thinks that just because her last name is “Flair,” that she’s just better than everyone. But that’s not the only reason she thinks she’s better! Did you actually think she was going to be gone for 14 MONTHS and not win the Royal Rumble? That she was not going to make history? Charlotte entered the Royal Rumble on February 1st, 2025, with 29 unserious women! There was no way she was going over the top rope.
So here’s the thing: She became the first-ever TWO-TIME Women’s Royal Rumble winner! She punched her ticket to WrestleMania! So here we are on her time. She wants to feel inspired. She went to Raw and saw Rhea Ripley. She went to NXT to see if Giulia would “inspire” her. And now she’s here on SmackDown to see if Tiffany- is here! The fans cheer as Tiffany Stratton heads to the ring, title on her shoulder. Tiffany joins Charlotte in the ring, grabs a mic, and the fans chant, “TIFFY TIME! TIFFY TIME!” Tiff says first off, Charlotte, congratulations and welcome back. Honestly, nobody and she means nobody, is a bigger Charlotte fan than Tiff.
And honestly, Tiff thought WWE couldn’t even survive without Charlotte. Charlotte got hurt, and then everyone cared! For like a day! And then Tiff came along and the sales were up, buildings were selling out, and WWE’s been hotter than ever. And guess who’s at the top of that? Tiffy! Charlotte twitches and asks if Tiff said something. Sweetie, you speak when Charlotte says you can speak. And if you think there are not other women claiming to be on top, Tiff should get in line. Tiff says no, she has been in line. The moment she debuted on TV, Tiff was compared to Charlotte. Tiff is a Charlotte wannabe! Tiff is the next Charlotte Flair!
So Charlotte better pick Tiff. Because on Tiff’s first WrestleMania, she’ll beat Charlotte! Then she’ll no longer be the “next Charlotte Flair,” she’ll be the one and only Tiffany Stratton! But it is a little premature. Right, Candice? Yes! And why is that? Because Nia will be champion again. That’s right! Okay, okay, Nia just spoke with Nick Aldis, and they agreed that instead of Nia facing five other women in the Elimination Chamber, Nia just has to face one next week. Nia steps up into the ring, and yes, she and Tiff are going 1v1 for the WWE Women’s Championship that Tiff stole from Nia! So Charlotte, if you wanna be Women’s Champion at WrestleMania, you’ll have to go through Nia. Charlotte says this just got interesting. She’ll stick around and watch next week, and see what happens.
But now, ALEXA BLISS makes her entrance! Nia may have her title rematch, but Lil’ Miss Bliss is ready to fight the Poison Pixie for a spot in the Elimination Chamber! Will things get a lot more twisted in Toronto? We find out, after the break!

Bliss stays in this and the fans rally up again. Candice seethes and storms up on Bliss. Candice kicks Bliss and slaps her around. Candice says Bliss came back when no one wants her here. But Chelsea does have a chance next week, if she beats Naomi. Chelsea says it isn’t “if” but when she beats Naomi. She’ll beat Naomi, beat all those “nasty girls” in Elimination Chamber, then she, her Secret Her-vice, and her motorcade will sail off into the sunset that is WrestleMania, where Chelsea will become a double champ! But then Mia Yim & B-Fab walk up and have Chelsea hold on. Because speaking of eliminations, Chelsea eliminating B-Fab is not in the back of her mind, but the front.
Mia says Chelsea might make it into the Chamber match, but she might not be US Champion. Stop stalling. We all know the inevitable. Piper says the inevitable will pound Mia’s face in! But then Zelina Vega walks by, looks at the US Championship, and thinks yes, that could work. So since she’s on SmackDown now, maybe Zelina gets her own shot at the title? Piper asks what is going on! Chelsea says Piper was supposed to get a bigger security detail, so get it already! But so many people hate Chelsea! Are the walls closing in on the Hot Mess and her title reign?

Angelo Dawkins says, “What? You thought you was gonna win the tag team championships and not see us? Motor City, we wouldn’t even be in the position right now if you didn’t give our opportunity away! How many brothers and tag teams are we gonna see turn on each other, just to see them mend back together because they know the grass isn’t greener on the other side? So sad. Profits always run together, stay together, and this violence will be televised. May God have mercy on your souls, because the Profits want the smoke. Shelley says yes, they had a chance to process everything. What happened at the Rumble? It’s just what The Profits said. But if this is their backyard, then come and kick MCMG out! Sabin says that was the biggest match of their career, and they had DIY beat. They would be tag team champions now! But then in steps Los Garza! And Angel says no, no, no. Not so fast! MCMG needs to stop complaining and get over it!
Berto says time to let it go. MCMG lost, just let new teams step up to the plate. Wow, funny they’re talking about stepping up. Because last week, when MCMG needed Los Garza to step up, what’d they do? They walked out! Shelley says Los Garza couldn’t take the heat, so they got out of the kitchen. Now, if they wanna step up to MCMG, then by all means! Elektra Lopez steps in and asks if they’re looking for a fight. Santos Escobar steps in and says he understands their frustration, he really does. No one is more upset with The Profits than Legado Del Fantasma. The reason being is the Profits started this whole mess attacking Los Garza for no reason.

Cody sputters, Jacob’s all geeked up, but the fans boo. Tama tells fans to sit down, and SmackDown goes picture in picture.

Cody stays in this and he crawls to a corner. Tama snarls, runs in, but Cody BOOTS him down! Cody goes up but Tama distracts the ref! Jacob SHOVES Cody down!
The fans boo but Cody flounders up, into Tama’s VENOM DDT! Cover, TWO! Cody survives and Tama is furious! Tama calls to Jacob and says they’re gonna kill this fool! SUPERKICK for Cody! Jacob runs, runs, but Jey trips him up! Cody fires elbows to get free of Tama! Jey SUPERKICKS Jacob, then runs into the ring, just to DIVE back out! Jacob is sent over the desk! Tama swings, but into the CROSS RHODES!! Cover, Cody & Jey win!

The former tag team champions stand tall together as they take down the other former tag team champions! BUT SOLO SIKOA IS BACK!? SAMOAN SPIKE!!! The prodigal son returns, and he stands over the American Nightmare! Is he going to suddenly try and take the Undisputed WWE Championship back after leaving his Bloodline in the lurch?
My Thoughts:
A great SmackDown here to do their part in shifting from the Royal Rumble to Elimination Chamber. Charlotte Flair had a good promo with Tiffany Stratton, and it is fitting that Tiff brings up the Charlotte parallels. In this day and age of pro-wrestling, the trope of “I’m not the new you, I’m the first me” is a classic choice. Plus, just the athletic ability of them both makes for a great match. But naturally, Nia Jax is going to get her rematch first, that’ll be really good stuff between her and Tiffany. I would think Tiffany retains so that she faces either Charlotte of the Elimination Chamber winner.
Speaking of which, a good return match for Bliss for her to win and get into the Chamber, but another awesome match between Bianca and Piper. Great win for Bianca, but I’m still curious when the Jade Cargill return happens and how that affects the tag title story. We got a good promo from Chelsea & Piper to react to that loss, plug Chelsea’s qualifier, and then tease many opponents for that Women’s US Championship. A downside of Chelsea & Piper talking about needing reinforcements is that literally just today, WWE released Blair Davenport! I was sure they were all spotted as one of those “in the background” things HHH likes doing, and yet they couldn’t make Blair part of a trio? I guess even under HHH, ideas like that just don’t make the cut.
We got great stuff in the tag division, and I feel like we could build to a really big tag title match for Mania. DIY’s sarcastic moment of silence being upstaged by Pretty Deadly was good stuff, and we got a great match between them. Great win for Pretty Deadly, but I feel like they won’t win the title match next week. Profits had a great promo to call out DIY and MCMG, and then Legado confronting MCMG was good, too. I feel like we could easily see another tag title ladder match at WrestleMania so that DIY, MCMG, Profits, Los Garza and Pretty Deadly can all fight it out, get all the stories wrapped up, and any team could come away with those belts.
Good promo from Melo, Aldis and Tozawa to lead to Melo VS Tozawa. Good showing for Tozawa, but naturally Melo had to get this win. Melo was getting his comeuppance plenty of times, now for him to get back up and head for something going towards WrestleMania. We got great promos from McIntyre, Jimmy and LA Knight to lead into their Triple Threat, and that match was a lot of fun. McIntyre of course got the win here, and despite him talking about his fresh start on SmackDown, you can bet he’ll go right after Punk in the Chamber match. Heck, we could even see him and Rollins go after Punk because I would think Rollins beats Finn Balor this Monday to qualify.
Priest had a good promo with Braun to hype up their Triple Threat with Jacob, but that Triple Threat nature did make it a little awkward. Braun was not only having to put himself over, but he kinda had to admit Jacob was a dangerous man. That Triple Threat is going to be awesome, but it mostly feels like Braun isn’t winning. Priest could win and we’d get great interactions between him and McIntyre, maybe him and Punk or Cena. Jacob could win and get in there to just start destroying stuff. Great promo from Kevin to call out Sami, and y’know what? Looking back, that moment Cody climbed and Sami did nothing, it makes sense now that Kevin would blame Sami. Kevin still won’t blame himself, so he defaults to the one man he always goes after.
And of course, great stuff with the overall world title story for WrestleMania. Great opening promo stuff with Jey and Cody as Jey still has to decide, and then great addition from Jacob in basically stating the WWE Championship is not Jey’s to take. Good intertwining where Miz being dissed by Andrade turns into Miz getting in Cody’s head. Seems Miz learned something from Karrion Kross… And also, Nakamura was lurking again, so that’s an interesting detail. Truth helping Tozawa was great, because of course Truth comedically drops Tozawa. Truth congratulating Jey for King of the Ring is classic confused Truth.
Jey & Cody VS Jacob & Tama was a great tag team match, great win for Jey & Cody, but Tama is quickly filling the same role as Karl Anderson was for The OC. Tama is a great wrestler but he eats the losses for the “real stars” on his team who shouldn’t be taking pins. And what a massive surprise for Solo Sikoa to return and attack Cody. The sad irony is, what makes Solo think he should get one more title match when he has failed to beat Cody again and again? Unless that’s the point, and Jacob challenges Solo’s authority. Solo lost the ula fala, he didn’t do anything after that, Jacob should no longer see Solo as a capable alpha.

Starlight whips, Koguma whips but Starlight handsprings over. Starlight whips, runs up, but Koguma puts her on the apron. Koguma runs up, Starlight slips under and sunset flips, TWO! Starlight runs up, but into an arm-drag! Starlight comes back to hit a headlock takeover! Koguma headscissors, Starlight kips free, and the two strike their animal poses! The fans cheer as bear and tiger reset. They tie up, Koguma spins Starlight, then goes for the arms!
Starlight fights free of being made to bear pose! But then Koguma kicks low, runs, but Starlight blows past her to springboard and CROSSBODY! Then SHOTGUN! The fans fire up and Starlight tags Yuna. Yuna runs up to run Koguma over, then fires up as she keeps moving. But Hazuki jumps in and helps Koguma ELBOW Yuna down! Then they double Yuna into Maika’s shoulder tackle! The fans fire up for the TRIPLE DROPKICK! The ref reprimands but Koguma tags Hazuki in. Hazuki rallies the fans while she stands on Yuna! Then she scrubs her with the boot again and again! Hazuka runs to BOOT WASH her!
Hazuka bumps Yuna off buckles, tags Maika, and the fans cheer as Maika scoops and SLAMS! Cover, TWO! Yuna stays in this but Maika kicks her around. Maika eggs Yuna on, but Yuna rises to CLUB Maika in the chest! Maika comes back to DECK Yuna! Yuna flounders, Maika brings her up and whips her to a corner. Maika runs up but Yuna BOOTS her down, somersaults, and SHOTGUNS! Yuna hurries and she tags in AZM! The fans rally up for AZM as she climbs, then leaps, but into Maika’s arms! Maika throws AZM back, kicks her, and she has Koguma help double whip. But AZM sends Maika into Koguma, and Starlight jumps in!
Starlight hits a TAKEOVER HEADSCISSORS COMBO! Then AZM DOUBLE DROPKICKS Maika & Koguma! The fans fire up for Starlight’s team as she and AZK put Maika & Hazuki at the center of the ring. They coordinate, STANDING MOONSAULT and DOUBLE STOMP! Cover, TWO! Maika is tougher than that, but AZM drags her into a drop zone. AZM goes up, DIVING DOUBLE- NO, Maika avoids the stomps to then scoop and POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO! AZM stays in this but the fans rally behind Maika. Maika drags AZM up, reels her in, and suplexes, only for AZM to fight free! Maika kicks and runs, but into a ROUNDHOUSE!
Maika just roars and comes back! Maika spins AZM, suplexes, but AZM has a GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! The fans rally as Maika endures, powers up, and suplexes again! BRAINBUSTER! The fans fire up while both women are down! The fans rally as Maika and AZM crawl, hot tags to Yuna and Hazuki! Hazuki sends Yuna to an open corner, runs up, but Yuna puts her on the apron! Only for Koguma to SPLASH Yuna! Hazuki then goes up and MISSILE DROPKICKS Yuna! Koguma goes up to CROSSBODY! Hazuki hurries to SENTON! Cover, TWO! Yuna survives, but is now in a CROSSFACE! Koguma & Maika intercept AZM & Starlight!
The fans rally while Yuna endures, and then AZM & Starlight break free! They both stomp Hazuki! Koguma & Maika drag Starlight & AZM back out, Hazuki CLUBS Yuna and whips her to ropes. Yuna reverses, Hazuki grabs ropes, then she DUMPS Yuna out! Yuna skins the cat to then LARIAT! The fans fire up with Yuna, she and the others coordinate! TRIPLE DROPKICK at the corner! Yuna then goes out while Starlight goes up! UFO SPLASH! Starlight sets Hazuki up for AZM’s DIVING DOUBLE STOMPS! Yuna adds the fireman’s carry and TROPICAL VALLEY BOMB! Cover, Maika breaks it! The fans fire up, but Starlight runs in and RANAS Maika!
Koguma runs in and spins Starlight around for a DDT! AZM runs up, Koguma blocks the kick to CUTTER! The fans fire up with Koguma as she and Hazuki coordinate. The “Double Crazy” combo DIVE and CROSSBODY!! Everyone is down at ringside and the fans fire up! Hazuki puts Yuna back in and the fans rally up more. Hazuki springboards and MISSILE DROPKICKS! Cover, TWO! Yuna survives but Hazuki keeps on her. Hazuki whips Yuna to a corner, Koguma hits a SPLASH, and then Hazuki adds an ELBOW! Maika adds a LARIAT, then she puts Yuna up top! Now we get Triple Crazy as Maika lifts and the others climb!
The fans fire up for the TRIPLE CRAZY BOMB!! Cover, but Starlight Kid breaks it!! Koguma CLOBBERS Starlight, Maika keeps AZM on the outside, and Hazuki drags Yuna up. Hazuki suplexes, Yuna slips free and she trips Hazuki up! Yuna hammerlocks an arm, turns Hazuki over, TROPICAL CRADLE!! TWO!??! Hazuki escapes, but Yuna runs up! But Hazuki spins her to a suplex and stalling BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, Triple Crazy wins!

A fast ‘n’ furious fight from three rising stars, and it was the Wildheart that finishes it off! Will we see this Triple Crazy trio soon go for the IWGP Women’s and/or NJPW Strong Women’s Championships?

As The Ace’s Final Road continues to roll on, this is quite the unique stop. Sure, he’s teamed with the Clown Prince and Mr. Direct Drive before, but he is now honored to be teaming with The Makai Love Machine and yes, THE Japanese Buzzsaw! Will Tanahashi & Tajiri add to their legends with this epic team-up? Or will Zack Sabre Jr, Ryohei Oiwa, Robbie Eagles, Kosei Fujita & Hartley Jackson prove that The Mighty Don’t Kneel?
Just as always, Tanahashi shows off the abs, the fans cheer, and Yano even adds a “Sugoi~!” The teams sort out and ZSJ calls out Tajiri! The fans fire up as Tajiri accepts. The bell rings, ZSJ and Tajiri circle, and Fukuoka are strongly behind “TA-JI-RI! TA-JI-RI!” Tajiri and ZSJ feel things out, knuckle lock, and ZSJ rolls to then wrench and wristlock. Tajiri seems rather unbothered, and he slips under ZSJ to then trip him and spread the legs! ZSJ reaches back but Tajiri uses his whole body length! ZSJ pushes up, crawls back, wrenches and hammerlocks, then half nelsons to cravat. Tajiri spins through to wrench and trip ZSJ!
Tajiri has the legs, ZSJ resists then hooks Tajiri to trip him. ZSJ returns the leg sprawl, then has a STRETCH MUFFLER! ZSJ uses it as a means to an end so he can have the BOW ‘N’ ARROW! Tajiri pops free and turns ZSJ over to have a headlock. ZSJ slips out the back, they each want the other’s arm, but then ZSJ top mounts. Tajiri pushes ZSJ away and the fans cheer the standoff! Tajiri and ZSJ feel things out, knuckle lock again, and ZSJ turns Tajiri. Tajiri turns that back around but ZSJ has an arm. ZSJ hammerlocks but Tajiri steps through the ropes, then steps back inside, and he has ZSJ’s arm wrapped around ropes!
The fans cheer, but Tajiri shows respect by respecting the ropebreak. The fans applaud, as does ZSJ, and then they tag out to Yoh and Eagles. The fans join in on “ROBBIE ROBBIE ROBBIE!” but Yoh rolls Eagles up! TWO and Yoh kicks low! Yoh whips, Eagles reverses to go up and around to arm-drag! Things keep moving, Eagles hurdles but Yoh dodges to RANA! The fans fire up but Fujita storms in and CHOPS! The Ichiban Sweet Boys double whip, but Yoh ducks the lariats! Yoh kicks and kicks, but the Sweet Boys CHOP and CHOP! They double wrench, and MAX- NO, Yoh fights free! Yoh crisscrosses the Sweet Boys into each other, and DOUBLE BULLDOGS!
Tag to Yano and the fans cheer, only for the Sweet Boys to double kick! They double whip, but Yano grabs the ropes! Yano then sends Fujita into Eagles, and he SLAPS them both on the heads! Yano then unties the buckle pad! The fans fire up, but Sweet Boys DOUBLE ELBOW, split the wishbone, and DOUBLE KICK! The Sweet Boys BLAST Yano’s corner, then Eagles brings Yano to the Mighty corner. Eagles bumps Yano off buckles then tags in Hartley. Big Hartley UPPERCUTS then ELBOW DROPS! Cover, TWO! Yano is a bit tougher than that so Fujita tags in. Fujita drags Yano up to CHOP! And CHOP!
Fujita whips Yano corner to corner, runs up, but Yano puts him on the apron! Fujita SLAPS Yano back! The fans rally and Fujita aims, springboard for the MISSILE DROPKICK! Cover, TWO! Yano stays in this and the fans rally up. Fujita tags Oiwa and he drags Yano up. Oiwa whips Yano to ropes, then ELBOWS him down! Cover, TWO! Oiwa stays on Yano but Yano pulls on the mullet! Oiwa kicks free, runs, but into an atomic drop! The fans rally up while both men are down, and Yano tags in Ryota! Ryota CHOPS Oiwa! Ryota eggs Oiwa on, but Oiwa fires a forearm! Ryota CHOPS again! And then Ryota says, “Genki de masu!” The fans cheer as Ryota and Tanahashi have energy to spare, and Ryota drags Oiwa up. Ryota reels Oiwa in, but Oiwa fights the lift! The fans rally more as Oiwa and Ryota rise. Oiwa whips Ryota to a corner, runs up, but Ryota LARIATS him down! Oiwa is up to LARIAT Ryota! Both me are down now and the fans rally again. Hot tags to ZSJ and Tanahashi! One more meeting between these two after yesterday’s final singles match, and the two dosido in a battle of Cobra Twists! Tanahashi has the COBRA TWIST! ZSJ pries free to have the COBRA TWIST in return! But Tanahashi powers out, has a leg, DRAGON- NO, ZSJ sits down for the ARMBAR! Tanahashi stacks ZSJ, TWO! ZSJ RAMS Tanahashi, snapmares, but Tanahashi UP KICKS!
Tanahashi kicks low, snapmares, and he NECK TWISTS! The fans fire up and Tanahashi runs, but ZSJ catches him to wrench! PELE to the arm! Then a STOMP to the elbow! Tag to Hartley and the fans rally up. Hartley runs corner to corner and SPLASHES Tanahashi against bare buckles! Short arm LARIAT! Cover, TWO! The Sweet Boys BLAST Tanahashi’s corner, then they send Tanahashi to a neutral corner. Fujita runs up to CHOP! Oiwa adds an ELBOW! Eagles adds a FOREARM! Then Oiwa scoops Tanahashi to SLAM him! ZSJ NECK TWISTS! Hartley SENTONS! Cover, Tajiri SLAPS Hartley on the head!
Tajiri scurries away before ZSJ can get him! The fans fire up and now Yoh & Yano mug Hartley. They double whip, but Hartley DOUBLE LARIATS! “Jackson Number One!” Hartley fireman’s carries Tanahashi, but Tajiri slips in and dosidos with the ref! GREEN MIST for Hartley!! Ryota runs up and SLINGBLADES!! Tanahashi hurries up top while his team keeps TMDK out! HIGH FLY FLOW!! Cover, Tanahashi’s team wins!

As Wrestling Dontaku wraps up the weekend, Tetsuya Naito and Bushi have reached the end of their NJPW run. Will they be victorious one last time alongside Hiromu Takahashi & Shingo Takagi? Or will the Roughneck, Stone Pitbull, Holy Emperor & Blue Playmaker make this parting a bitter goodbye?
For one last time, Naito takes his time with the elaborate entrance attire. It also seems rather clear that Bushi is emotional over this being his farewell match. The fans rally and the teams sort out. The fans call for “NA-I-TO! NA-I-TO!” LIJ fust bump, the fans cheer, and Naito steps up for the team. The fans rally behind him more as he starts against Taichi. The bell rings and Fukuoka cheers even harder for “NA-I-TO! NA-I-TO!” But then Naito tags out to Bushi. The Black Mask has the fans on his side, too, and he circles with Taichi. They approach, Bushi kicks low then runs, but into a BOOT! Taichi runs, but Bushi TOSSES him out!
Bushi DECKS Taka, but Shota & Ishii attack! They double whip, Bushi sends Shota into Ishii, then Bushi DOUBLE RANAS! BUSHIROONI~! Taichi is back but Bushi DECKS him! Takagi sets Taichi up but Taka trips Bushi! The fans boo but Taichi storms in and stomps Bushi. Taichi CLUBS Bushi, whips him corner to corner, then runs up, but into a BOOT! Bushi runs up and RANAS! The fans fire up while both men are down! Bushi stands and he tags in Hiromu. Hiromu BLASTS Ishii, then Takagi tags in! Hiromu & Takagi double whip Taichi to DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE! Then they flex! The fans cheer the side chest.
Hiromu stands Taichi up to CHOP him to the corner. Hiromu whips corner to corner, runs in and LARIATS, then snapmares, but Taichi RIDGE HANDS! Taichi wrenches and HOOK KICKS! Shota BLASTS Takagi because he can, and Taichi tags in Taka. Taka BOOTS Naito down, then stomps Hiromu around. The fans rally but Taka brings Hiromu up. Hiromu CHPOS, CHOPS, and CHOPS! Taka gets mad, and he pokes Hiromu in the eyes! Taka whips Hiromu to the corner, stomps and knees him, then tags Ishii. Ishii winds up to CHOP! Hiromu grits his teeth and CHOPS back, but Ishii doesn’t budge!
Ishii CHOPS Hiromu and eggs him on! Hiromu stands to CHOP, but Ishii CHOPS back! Ishii gives more trash talk and more mocking kicks. Hiromu stands to CHOP, CHOP, CHOP! The fans fire up as Ishii staggers, but then Hiromu CHOPS again! And again! Ishii ROCKS Hiromu, suplexes, but Hiromu fights free! SUPERKICK! Hiromu roars, reels Ishii in, but Ishii suplexes first! But Hiromu’s right up!? And he dodges Ishii to SNAP GERMAN! Ishii’s right up!? SAIDO! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Ishii hot tags Shota, and Shota BLASTS Takagi again! The Gene Blast may be one of the Reiwa Era Three Musketeers, but the Heat Storm vows to be the face of this new generation. A match meant to happen months ago finally does happen, but who will truly be the frontrunner of the future?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is the true global star!
The bell rings and the fans rally up as Yota and Yuya stare down. Fukuoka duels, but the “YO~TA!” sounds stronger than the “YU~YA!” They circle, feel things out, then circle a bit more. They feel out the knuckle lock, then Yuya rolls. Yota keeps him at bay as they clinch, then they go around. Yuya waistlocks, Yota wrenches free and waistlocks in return, but Yuya switches. Yota headlocks, Yuya rolls him to the mat and headlocks in return. Yota keeps his shoulders up, then fights to his feet. Yuya hits a takeover, Yota headscissors, but Yuya kips up. Yuya is fired up and the fans cheer him on.
Yota stands up and the two reset. They circle while the fans duel, and the two tie up. Yuya wrenches to a hammerlock but Yota switches and full nelsons. Then Yota headlocks and grinds Yuya down. Yuya fights up, pries at the hold, but Yota powers it on tighter. Yuya powers up but Yota squeezes the headlock even tighter! The fans applaud while Yuya endures. The Heat Storm was certainly on fire, but Tsuji was volcanic! The gold stays with Yota, will he and those left in LIJ make sure NJPW stays tranquilo?
Speaking of which, the rest of LIJ returns to the ring so they can stand with their guy. Tsuji gets to also have his final photo op with the group as we know it. We also get one last LIJ fist bump with the five of them, and then Naito & Bushi let Yota, Takagi & Hiromu have the ring. Yota hurries to get the mic to tell Naito & Bushi, “Let me have one last word.” The fans applaud, and Naito & Bushi stop to hear him out. “Naito and Bushi leaving could signal the end of Los Ingobernables de Japon. But remember this: We’re ungovernable. We’ll always be connected in our hearts. Until next time.” The fans applaud that! Naito even gives one last fist bump salute.
The fans cheer as the LIJ Era has changed, and Bushi makes sure we see his mask where it says, “Adios.” Then Yota continues to say that he is still IWGP Global Heavyweight Champion, and that he’ll continue to defend the cerulean blue mat of NJPW. The fans applaud, and Yota says he is fortunate to have such a great rival in Uemura. And another in Gabe Kidd. So, who should he defend this belt against next? Well, he said the man’s name, so here comes the Mad Man! The fans bark it up for the War Dog, and Gabe gets right in Yota’s face. Yota says nic eto see him. Should they pick up where they left off?
Gabe takes the mic to say, “You’re an IWGP champion?” No, no, Yota beat Evil and Yuya, but in Osaka… It was a double knockout! Yota never beat Gabe! The fans cheer that point! The fans rally as the shots go back and forth, faster and faster! Goto gets the edge, headlocks, but Callum powers out. Goto runs Callum over, but Callum kips up to ENZIGIRI! Callum TOSSES Goto out, then PLANCHAS! The fans fire up while Goto goes down!
Callum fires himself up and the fans cheer. Callum brings Goto up, the fans duel a bit more evenly, and Callum whips. Goto reverses and Callum hits railing! But he comes back to BOOT Goto down! Callum snarls, drags Goto back up, and now Callum sends Goto into railing! Goto comes back but Callum BOOTS him down again! And then PENALTY KICKS! The fans rally, Hashi coaches Goto, but Callum KICKS Goto in the back! Callum puts Goto in the ring, the fans applaud, and Callum sits Goto up again. Callum hits another PENALTY KICK! Callum then goes to the corner and climbs up, calling his shot.
Callum aims, DIVING- NO, Goto dodges! Callum comes back, but Goto dodges! Goto LARIATS, then he clinches for the SAIDO! Callum flounders away and the fans fire up. Callum goes to a corner, Goto runs in, MURAMASA! Then Goto puts Callum up top! Goto climbs up after Callum, just to drag him into a draped position! SUPER DRAPING NECKBREAKER!! Callum flounders out of the ring, Great-O-Khan & Francesco Akira check on him, as does Red Shoes. Callum winches, clutches his shoulder, but he manages to sit up. Callum has speed but Goto is taking advantage of his skinnier frame.
Red Shoes starts the ring count and Goto stays back, which annoys Callum. Callum storms into the ring, but Goto kicks him down! Goto has Callum up for a suplex, and BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Callum stays in this and the fans fire up, but Goto stays right on Callum. Goto drags Callum up, but Callum clutches his shoulder, so Goto lets him be. We’re only five minutes in as the fans rally up, and Goto stomps Callum around. Callum crawls away to a corner but Goto grabs at him. Callum wants Goto to hold on, and Red Shoes has Goto step back. Callum’s neck and shoulder are really bothering him, but Goto just storms up to stomp him!
Goto drags Callum up, snapmares, then clamps on a chinlock. Callum endures as Goto’s knee digs into the back and neck. Goto then ELBOWS Callum in the head, stomps him around, and brings him up. Goto CLUBS Callum’s neck, but Callum CHOPS! The pain in his shoulders holds Callum back, but Goto clinches for a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! And then a GROUND OCTOPUS! Callum endures, reaches out, and the fans rally up. Goto thrashes around but Akira & Khan coach Callum. Callum kicks around but Goto shifts to a headscissor necklock! Goto stands Callum up, kicks him low, but Callum fires a forearm! And another! The pain in the neck holds those back, and Goto CLUBS Callum! Goto runs, but into a DROPKICK! Khan & Akira coach Callum, Hashi coaches Goto, and both Goto and Callum crawl to the apron. Goto goes to the floor, and Callum smiles. The fans rally as Callum builds speed and FLIES!! Callum does a full 360 to hit Goto and then rolls through more to stand back up at the ramp! The fans are thunderous and Callum fires himself back up! Callum drags Goto to his feet and puts him in the ring. The fans applaud, and Callum hurries back in. Callum aims from a corner while Goto flounders away. The fans rally more, and Callum runs corner to corner. FLYING DROPKICK! Callum then chicken wings for a TIGER SUPLEX!
But the bad neck won’t let Callum bridge! Callum hurries to lateral press, TWO! And we’re just 10 minutes in! The fans rally, Callum fires up with a very Will Ospreay style “OI! OI! OI!” The fans rally behind that, and Callum brings Goto up. Callum reels Goto in, hooks a leg, FIRE- NO, Goto slips free of Firebolt, waistlocks, but Callum fights the lift. Callum runs, Goto follows, but then Callum dodges! Goto dodges, Callum dodges, then Callum hurdles! But Goto fireman’s carries! USHIGOROSHI! Both men are down and the fans fire up for that high speed exchange! Goto has the crowd behind him again as he rises up.
Goto storms up on Callum, stands him up, but Callum fires a forearm! Only to fall to his knees! Callum rises up but Goto DECKS him! Callum is running on fumes, but the fans do rally for him, too. Goto eggs him on and Callum manages to stand. Callum fires a forearm, drops to a knee, but Goto stands him up. Goto DECKS Callum again! Callum shakes out the stars and he snarls! As for Goto, the belt is put back around his waist, and he watches Callum walk away. Callum takes a moment to bow in deep respect to Goto before he and the Empire leave. Goto then grabs the mic, and the fans cheer him on. “No matter what anyone says, this is MY time!” The fans cheer that! Goto continues, “Who’s my next opponent? As a fighting champion, I’ll take on all challengers!” Wait! Zack Sabre Jr. makes his way back out here! Goto took this title from ZSJ so clearly ZSJ wants a rematch. ZSJ grabs a mic to tell Goto in Japanese, “Good work tonight. That was a fantastic match! Truly fantastic.
“You’ve been on a roll lately! You’re indeed a great champion. But I’m you’re next challenger!” The fans like the sound of that! Goto says, “I accept!” The fans really like that, and the two shake hands on it. Will the Submission Master make sure that- WAIT! Shingo Takagi is here?! He storms into the ring with a mic to say, “Pardon the intrusion!” The fans cheer as Takagi asks, “Mind if I speak my piece? Zack, hold on a moment. OI, GOTO! You really are something. You got a belt, a wife, and kids! And on top of that, you’re in Hontai!” The fans do applaud that with a bit of a chuckle.
Takagi points out that he, on the other hand, has no belt, no wife, no kids. “And now it looks like my faction is done… But that doesn’t mean I need to hang my head. I’ll soar to the top!” The fans applaud, and Takagi says the G in IWGP stands for Goto, right? But oi, oi, oi! You can’t spell “Shingo” OR “Takagi” without a G! He has two G’s, so he wants his shot at the title. At least, he’d like to say that. But he has no objects to Zack. Takagi did lose to ZSJ last time. So then Takagi will wait to challenge the winner of Goto VS ZSJ! The fans like that, too! Takagi says if it’s about G’s, Goto can’t argue Takagi’s point!
The three men all look to each other, and it looks like the deal is struck. Fierce Warrior VS Front Man, and the Rampaging Dragon gets the winner! Who will stand on the summit of NJPW going into the summer? Takagi and ZSJ take their leave, and Goto continues. “Again, thank you very much for coming today!” The fans applaud, and Goto says, “No matter who I’m up against, I will not be defeated. The Goto Revolution is far from over! Follow it until the very end! Let’s end with Goto’s G’s.” The fans chuckle, and Goto says he knows most of the locales had G in their names. But not in Fukuoka…
Even so, Goto still has this IWGP World title around his waist, so no worries there. IKU ZO! The fans cheer, and Goto says, “The G in IWGP is for GOTO!” The streamers fly, and the Fierce Warrior is ready to lead NJPW on! But will things only heat up from here on out?
My Thoughts:
An awesome event for Wrestling Dontaku’s finale, and we’re already building towards Dominion next month. I was rather surprised that the Six Woman Tag was so quick. Well, I feel like a lot of Stardom matches on a NJPW show end up like that… But the 10 Man Tag with Tanahashi’s team beating TMDK, and then the 8 Man Tag of LIJ winning, both of those matches felt just as fast/short. I suppose on some level, they did it because we all had a feeling who was winning. Tanahashi’s team wins because he also had special guests Tajiri and Ryota, so that was just a great moment for some longstanding legends.
LIJ winning was apparently to also commemorate their last match as a faction. With Titan being their CMLL member, we only have Hiromu, Takagi and Tsuji. I suppose a trio isn’t necessarily a faction, but I’m surprised they just sprang this dissolution on us. Great match from Yota VS Yuya, but I think they dragged it out a bit at the start. It got hot by the end, and Yota retaining was a great move. Gabe Kidd calling his shot is also a great move, he and Yota are going to have a great rematch from their time limit draw. And then awesome main event from Goto VS Callum, with Callum looking great even in defeat. Callum is definitely on his way, maybe he’ll really build up his power level in the G1 Climax this year.
Great promo to close, with Goto, ZSJ and Takagi establishing the next couple of title shots. I think Goto VS ZSJ has been made for Resurgence this Friday, so they’re getting that right out of the way so Takagi can face the champion at Dominion. At the same time, they kinda have to because Best of the Super Juniors is going to dominate May. Resurgence would be a wild place for a title change since it’s in the US and it’s a true PPV, so I’m not liking ZSJ’s chances.

Timeless Toni continues her search for her next “costar,” and she’s crossing paths with the Coldest Wrestler You Know! But will Frost go from ice to gold? Or will she be crossed off the list during this “audition?”
The bell rings, the two shake hands, and the fans applaud. Toni and Frost circle, tie up, and Toni wrenches to wristlock. Frost grabs the ropes to flip through, and she wrenches back. Toni reaches back to headlock but Frost powers up and out. Toni runs Frost over, the fans cheer, but then Frost kips up! Things speed up. Frost handsprings but Toni sidesteps. Frost roll sunder a lariat to roll back and SWINGING headscissor! Toni tumbles out and the fans are torn, but Frost watches Toni go around the way. Frost goes to the apron, avoids the leg sweep, then CANNONBALLS to the floor!
The fans fire up and Frost goes up the barriers. Frost handsprings to MOONSAULT onto Toni! The fans fire up more and Frost puts Toni back in. Frost storms up on Toni to cover, TWO! Toni stays in this but Frost stays cool. Frost whips Toni but Toni hits a THESZ PRESS! Toni rains down fast hands, then fires up! The fans are with her and Toni stands Frost up. Toni scoops for a BACKBREAKER! Frost writhes but Toni brings her back up. Toni hits a FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Not quite perfect, but Toni doesn’t let that bother her. The fans rally as Toni brings Frost up to her feet.
Toni grabs Frost with both hands, but Frost turns that into a wheelbarrow! Victory roll, TWO! Things speed up, Frost ducks ‘n’ dodges and LARIATS! The fans fire up as Toni goes to a corner, Frost runs in, SNOWBALL! The fans fire up more and Frost pushes Toni. Frost goes out, BOOTS Toni, then steps in to slips around, and she ROCKS Toni! Frost climbs, aims, and TORNILLO CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Toni stays in this and the fans rally up again. Frost rises, goes back to the corner, and she climbs back up. But Toni grabs Frost first! Frost survives but Toni just moves on to her closeup! The fans rally as Toni runs corner to corner, SWEET HIP- NO, Frost KICKS first! Cartwheel and Alabama Lift, CHILLER DRILLER!! Cover, TWO!! There’s nothing you can do about it, Joe, so I don’t want you to feel bad that all of the people closest to you are dropping like flies. And I struggle to find reasons to dislike Samoa Joe, I really do. The guy defined professional wrestling for a whole generation of us guys. He deserves the respect he commands. Samoa Joe is beyond reproach. But so was Bryan Danielson. Something to think about.
“Steel Cage for the world championship in Chicago. There’s this notion, this idea, that I should be scared to step into a steel cage with Samoa Joe. When you’re the world champion, every opponent is dangerous, every match is hard, every day is hard. I’m gonna do what I always do: my job. And I am exceptional at my job. You wanna lock me inside a steel cage? Lock it. Lock the door, man. This is always how this was gonna end. My affairs are in order. But if you subscribe to this notion that I should be scared, well then you haven’t been paying attention, Joe. You better make sure you thought things through.”

The bell rings and the fans rally up for pretty much everyone in this match. All four men watch each other, then approach. Knight CLOBBERS Fox and Rush CLOBBERS Sammy! Rush and Knight then step up to each other. Knight fire a forearm but Rush eggs Knight on! The forearms go back and forth, then Rush CHOPS! The fans “WOO~” and Knight CHOPS! Rush CHOPS, and Rush wants Knight to man up! Knight CHOPS, Rush HEADBUTTS! Rush stomps away on Knight, stomps away, then “takes” Knight’s head to “punt” it into the crowd. Rush has the fans behind him right now as he and Knight speed up.
Knight drops down, then hurdles over, but Rush leaps! They keep moving, Knight scoops and SLAMS! Then UFO- NO, Rush moves! Rush arm-drags Knight, Knight arm-drags Rush, and then dropkicks cancel out! Both men kip up and the fans fire up! Cole is still on commentary, he likes this one, too. But then Fox and Sammy DROPKICK Rush and Knight out of the ring! The fans fire up for Fox and Sammy, Fox BOOST the lariat away to then tilt-o-whirl and waistlock. Sammy switches, Fox switches, and Fox shoves Sammy. Fox then blows past Sammy, but Sammy hurdles, backflips, and DROPKICKS! The fans fire up so Sammy takes a bow.
Sammy runs corner to corner at Fox and he RAMS Fox in the corner! Sammy goes out, slingshots in, but Fox slingshots out! Sammy crash lands and Fox slingshots back in, SENTON! The fans fire up again, and Fox catches Sammy’s punch! Fox also hooks a leg, ties those up, and hits a modified FISHERMAN BUSTER! Rush is back to SUPERMAN FOREARM! Sammy JUMP KNEES Rush! Knight springboards to FLYING LARIAT Sammy! The fans fire up again, and Knight runs up on Rush, only for Rush to OVERHEAD SUPLEX him into buckles! Knight crashes down, the fans rally up, and Collision goes picture in picture!
Dustin checks on Sammy and he’s alright. Knight drags himself up with the ropes but Rush runs up to BODY BLOW! Rush whips corner to corner, CHOPS, then sits Knight down. Rush runs corner to corner, runs back in, but feints Knight out to BOOT him! Rush soaks up cheers and jeers before he rolls back and tranquilo! Sammy sends Fox into barriers, Rush feeds off more energy, then Rush goes out to SMACK Fox down! Rush HEADBUTTS Sammy, then SMACKS Sammy off a chair! Dustin coaches Sammy but Rush stares Dustin down. The Natural tells Toro Blanco that there’s no problemo here.
Knight storms up on Rush, but Rush SMACKS Knight down! The fans applaud while Knight slumps against railing. Rush talks some trash, then he smothers Knight! The fans get a bit closer to the action like that, but then Fox runs up on Rush. Rush ROCKS Fox first, SMACKS him off railing, then goes back to Knight. Rush SMACKS Knight, brings him around, and pushes him along the barriers. Rush CHOPS Knight, but Knight CHOPS Rush! Rush CHOPS Knight! Knight staggers away while Rush revels in the cheers. Rush has Atlantic City all cheering him on, and he goes after Knight to KICK his leg! Knight hobbles, but Rush fires body shots!
Rush keeps after Knight, CHOKES him on the railing, and the ref reprimands. Rush doesn’t have to stop, but he does as Collision returns to single picture. Rush whips Knight, Knight reverses, and Rush hits steel steps! The fans fire up while Rush writhes. Knight and Fox are in the ring, and Fox BOOTS first! The fans rally for Fox now, but Knight puts him on the apron. Fox ROCKS Rush, jumps up, but Knight DROPKICKS him down! We can see in the rafters, glowing with blue light, that’s Hologram! The futuristic luchador is very invested as Knight builds speed to DIVE into a DDT from Fox! The fans fire up more as Fox now takes aim.
Fox springboards and IMPLODER 450 SPLASHES onto Knight! The fans fire up while both men go down! Fox brings Knight up but Knight fights the lift. Fox CLUBS Knight, but Sammy is up top! Sammy SUPER SHOOTING STARS! Down go Fox and Knight and the fans fire up with Sammy! But Rush DECKS Sammy! Rush whips Fox hard into railing! Rush then whips Fox to the other side, into more railing! Rush sends Sammy into steel steps! Rush has Knight, and he sends Knight into railing! Rush snarls, brings Knight around, and then suplexes! Knight fights free, gets around the steps, and he leaps off those steps to DROPKICK Rush!
The fans fire up with Knight, and he runs at Rush, only for Rush to THROW him at the ramp!! The fans fire up as Rush storms back up on Knight. They brawl up the ramp and to the stage! Then they go off into some shadowy corner! “This is Awesome!” as Sammy and Fox are now left in the ring. Hologram approves as Sammy torture racks. GO TO- NO, Fox dodges the knee, then goes Matrix to dodge the lariat! PELE! Sammy BOOTS back! Sammy goes up a corner, but Fox is after him, LO MEIN PAIN! And then a 450 SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Sammy survives and the fans rally up! Fox puts Sammy in the center of the ring, but then goes to the corner?
Fox climbs, aims, SWANTON BOMB onto knees!! Sammy saves himself, torture racks, but Fox fights free! Roll up, TWO! Sammy is up, Fox goes Matrix again, but the JUMP KNEE finds him! Fox sputters, Sammy reels him in, GO TO HOSPITAL!! Cover, SAMMY WINS!
Winner: Sammy Guevara, by pinfall (wins the $100K prize)
Adam Cole applauds, and certainly Sammy’s family is happy he has this money. But Sammy points to Cole, then to the All In sign. Will this Son of Texas get to go All In for the TNT Championship? Will Hologram look to add himself to the mix before too long?

“I understand that you have the ability and the will to come after someone like me. But you see, Jon, I had to put this match in a cage. Cuz there’s something else that I understand about you. The Jon Moxley I look at today doesn’t have the heart to stand in front of me. The Jon Moxley I see today doesn’t have the balls to get into a ring and get into an actual firefight with a man like me. And Jon, come Chicago, at Beach Break, I will break you. And when you turn around to run, with nowhere to go, I am Samoa Joe. I will be the next AEW World Champion. And Jon Moxley, I will make you understand.”

The fans fire up, the ref counts, but Megan shoves Harley away. harley returns again but is put ont he apron. Harley ROUNDHOUSES, ROUNDHOUSES again, then RAMS into Megan! Harley has Megan in the ropes and she HAMMERS away! The fans fire up as Harley shouts, “FEEL THE WRATH!” Harley goes up, in, runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and ENZIGIRIS! Megan stays up so Harley runs agian, but Megan stops the COde Breaker! OVERHEAD SUPLEX! The fans are torn while Harley writhes.
Megan storms over to Harley, stalks her to the ropes, then drags her up to RAM her into the corner again and again! Megan CHOPS Harley, then stalks her to a corner. Megan KNEES Harley again and again and again! The ref reprimands, Megan steps back, but that lets Ford CHOKE Harley! The fans boo but Ford gets away with it. Megan snapmares Harley, then KNEES her in the back! Cocky cover, ONE! Megan drags Harley up to suplex her high and hard! Megan stalks Harley to the corner again, whips her corner to corner, then runs up for a SPLASH! MEgan then underhooks and hits a BUTTERFLY SUPLEX!
Megan storms up on Harley, but Harley JAWBREAKERS back! Harley wrenches and serves up SOLE FOOD! Megan staggers, runs back in, and LEAPING LARIAT! The fans are torn but Megan stands over Harley as Collision goes picture in picture.
Megan takes her time fixing her hair and her gear, but Harley goes out to the apron. Megan runs up and BOOTS Harley down! The ref and Megan argue, and Ford gets another cheap shot in! The fans boo but the ref misses it like he did before. Megan waits on Harley as Harley hobbles back into the ring. Megan then storms up on Harley to put her in a corner. Harley fires forearms but Megan is more amused than anything. Harley ROCKS Megan, but Megan BOOTS her! Megan RAMS Harley into the corner again and again! Then she GERMAN SUPLEXES Harley away! Harley sputters but Megan is right back on her.
Megan drags Harley up, brings her around, and short arm LARIATS! Megan drags Harley back up, short arm LARIATS again, then stands Harley back up. Harley dodges the lariat this time, but then a LARIAT finds her on return! Cover, TWO! Megan sighs, drags Harley up, and SLAMS her back down! Megan drags Harley up, scoops again, and SLAMS her back down! Harley sputters but Megan brings her up again. Another scoop and another SLAM! Megan soaks up cheers and jeers while Collision returns to single picture. Megan grabs at Harley but Harley KICKS her! And KICKS! And KICKS again!
Megan grabs Harley by her hair and drags her to a corner! Megan CHOPS and CHOPS and runs back in, but into an ELBOW! And another ELBOW! Harley climbs, Megan runs up and Megan ROCKS Harley! Megan climbs, but Harley fires body shots! The fans rally, Harley fires hands, and then she BITES Megan’s ear! The fans fire up as Megan falls back! Ford gets up but Harley DECKS her! Megan runs in, but Harley dodges! Megan hits buckles, Harley ducks ‘n’ dodges to then tilt-o-whirl DDT! The fans fire up and Harley covers, TWO! Megan survives but Harley fires up. The fans rally and Harley brings Megan in for a facelock.
But Megan suplexes first! Harley fights that, but Megan tries again! FALCON ARROW! Cover, TWO!! Harley survives and Megan is seething! Megan drags Harley up, fireman’s carry, but Harley fires elbows! Harley then fires forearms, and she dodges a haymaker! Harley fires a flurry, then runs to LARIAT! Harley is the one who falls over! Megan drags Harley right into a POWERBOMB!! Cover, TWO?!? Harley survives but Megan is furious! Fireman’s carry, but Harley sunset flips! TWO!! Megan is up, Harley Oklahoma Rolls her, TWO!! Megan escapes again, but Harley hits a SHINING WIZARD! Then Harley aims from a corner!
Megan rises, Harley goes up, and Harley leaps! But Megan catches her, pops her up, FATE’S DESCENT!! Cover, Megan wins!

Megan blocks that, takes it from Anna, then throws it aside! Megan runs up, but Anna DUMPS Megan out! Ford has Megan stand down, even though Anna wants her to fight! Will the Queenslayer help Harley get even with Megasus and minion?
AEW returns and…
Wait, Moxley & Marina are here in person! They beat up a security guard, DUMP him to ringside, and then dare the other guards to try something. Marina gives one guy the briefcase, just to then BOOT him down! Marina storms into the ring and intimidates Arkady Aura to give the mic over. Arkady does as told and then gets out of the ring. Marina hands the mic to Moxley and Moxley snarls while the fans boo. Moxley paces, and he tells Samoa Joe, “I heard what you said. Lemme ask you a question. What exactly is it I don’t understand? Just what the hell is it, Joe, that I don’t understand?”
The fans chant for Joe, and sing, “Joe is gonna kill~ you!” Moxley asks how Joe is gonna explain something to him inside a steel cage. What? Is Joe gonna kick his ass? The fans chant “YES!” So Joe is gonna beat Moxley up? “YES!” Oh, is that what they think? “YES!” Right… Moxley has faced all the supposed baddest men in the business, all shaped and sizes, all organizations and in all countries. Just name one. They all said the same thing as you’re saying, Joe! They were thinking the same things Joe is thinking, until they weren’t! The bell rings and the fans bark for Brody. Brody and Alexander stare down, circle, and then tie up. They’re in a deadlock, Brody puts Alexander on the ropes, but lets off. Alexander goes for a leg but Brody THROWS him away! The fans duel as the two circle again. They tie up, Alexander headlocks, but Brody powers up. Alexander wrenches, hammerlocks, but Brody ELBOWS free! Alexander avoids a second shot and the two reset. They feel things out, then Alexander drop steps to have the waistlock. Brody takes another swing, but into a clinch! Brody facelocks, but Alexander wrenches out to wristlock. Brody breaks free and CHOPS!
The fans fire up while Alexander goes to a corner. Brody runs up but Alexander kicks low! Alexander fires forearms and UPPERCUTS, then CHOPS! Alexander whips but Brody blocks! Brody whips Alexander to a corner, then runs in and SPLASHES! Brody ROCKS Alexander, CHOPS again, and repeat! The fans rally as Brody rains down shots. The fans fire up for Brody while he refreshes the ring count. Brody stands Alexander up, brings him around, and ROCKS Alexander again. Brody grabs a chair from the timekeeper’s area, and he CHOPS Alexander into taking a seat. Brody barks and gets space. Brody runs back in, but Alexander slumps down. The fans boo as Brody is denied his splash. But Alexander grabs a leg and BOOTS it against the steel steps! Alexander refreshes the ring count now, and he leaps, into a HAYMAKER! Brody uses antiair on Alexander, then he puts Alexander back in the ring. Brody storms up, but Alexander slides out!
Alexander wraps Brody’s leg up in the ropes, CLAWS at Brody’s face, and he hits a DRAPING NECKBRAEKER on the apron! A wicked combination as Alexander says the bigger they are, the harder they fall. The ref checks Brody while he is down on the ground, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Brody clutches his leg, but Alexander grabs said leg. Alexander SLAMS the leg off the floor, then stalks Brody as he crawls into the ring. Alexander grabs the bad leg to SLAM it against the apron! Brody crawls to a corner, Alexander steps in, and Alexander stomps away on Brody! Alexander stomps chest, stomps leg, then stomps a mudhole! The ref counts and Alexander stops at 4. Brody sputters while Alexander soaks up heat. Alexander stands Brody up to CLUB him on the neck. Brody CHOPS Alexander, hobbles then CHOPS again! Alexander puts Brody in a corner, wraps the bad leg around ropes, and pulls!

Both men slowly rise, and Brody hobbles over to Alexander. Alexander grabs the leg, but Brody CLUBS him down!
Collision returns to single picture as Brody CHOPS again! Brody puts Alexander on the top rope, CHOPS him again, then climbs. Brody brings Alexander to the very top, but Alexander kicks at the bad leg! Alexander then slips under, CLUBS Brody on the back, and he manages to torture rack! But Brody slips free! And CHOPS! The fans fire up as Brody huffs ‘n’ puffs. Alexander CHOPS, but Brody CHOPS again! The CHOPS keep going back and forth, and Brody’s CHOPS hit harder! Alexander is wincing now, and Brody CHOPS him again, again, and again! Brody puts some stank on the CHOP and Alexander falls to his knees!
Brody barks, the fans are with him, and Alexander stands up! The straps come down and Alexander pie faces Brody! And then SLAPS him! Brody DOUBLE CHOPS Alexander right down! Brody waits on Alexander, but Alexander kicks the legs out! Then he BOOTS Brody! And BOOTS him again! Torture rack, TOWER HACKER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!! Brody survives and Alexander is beside himself! Alexander hammers the mat, drags Brody back up, and the fans rally up. Alexander tucks the arms, but Brody BACKDROPS free! The fans fire up and Brody runs in at the corner! Alexander BOOTS first, then dodges a lariat!
Alexander comes back, but into a BIG BOSS MAN SLAM! Cover, TWO! Alexander survives and Brody clutches the bad leg. Brody drags Alexander up, reels him in, but Alexander slips free of the Canadian Rack! Brody ELBOWS Alexander, runs up, but Alexander dodges! SNAP GERMAN! But Brody rises?! Alexander dodges the lariat, but not the SOUTHPAW!! The fans are all fired up while both men are down! A standing count starts, Alexander goes to a corner, “This is Awesome!” as Brody rises. Brody runs corner to corner, CANNONBALL! Cover, TWO! Alexander is still in this but he does go to the bottom rope.
Brody snarls and storms over to Alexander. Brody drags Alexander up, brings him back to the corner, and brings him back up to the very top! But Alexander fights with body shots! Brody fires body shots, and hits the SUPER DUPER PLEX!! Both men are down and Atlantic City is loving this! Another standing count starts, both men rise at 5 of 10, and Alexander fires a flurry of forearms! Brody ROCKS Alexander, and we hit the one minute warning! Brody runs up, Alexander dodges, and Alexander ROCKS Brody! Alexander runs back up, but blocks a boot! KNEE DROP on the bad knee!! And then an ANKLE LOCK!!

The tech guys oblige, and Caster says before his next “victim” comes out here, he wants the people here in AC to prove that they’re not just a bunch of drunk, degenerate tourists! He wants them to do the chant correctly!

The fans rally as Kyle powers up and out, but Cash runs him over! Things keep moving, Cash sunset flips, but Kyle stays up to then drop down into an ARMBAR! Cash rolls Kyle, TWO! Cash narrowly avoids a roundhouse, then he scrambles away. The fans rally behind Kyle, but Cash and Kyle tag to Dax and Roddy.

They tie up, go around, and Dax wrenches Kyle to a wristlock. Kyle breaks free to ROCK Dax, then ROCK Cash! Collision returns to single picture as Kyle keeps fighting off FTR! Dax powers Kyle back, Cash sneaks the tag, and Kyle jumps the dropdown, only for Cash to grab Dax’s hand! DOUBLE LARIAT from the ropes!
Stoke applauds, the fans are torn, but Cash then slingshots to ELBOW DROP! Cover, TWO! Cash stomps away on Kyle, Stoke talks trash, and the ref counts. Cash stops with the stomps and Stokely grins. Cash grinds Kyle down, Dax sneaks some leverage by sticking his feet in for Cash to push off of. The fans rally, Kyle fights up, and Kyle snapmares free! But Cash picks Kyle up, puts him in a corner, and runs up, only for Kyle to dodge! Cash’s bronco almost gets busted, hot tags to Dax and Roddy! Roddy DROPKCISK Dax, LARIATS Cash, and then HALF NELSON BACKBREAKERS Dax! JUMP KNEE for Cash! Roddy fireman’s carries Dax to then SLAM him onto Cash! The fans fire up and Roddy ROCKS Dax! Roddy runs side to side for ELBOW after ELBOW! And then an ATOMIC FACEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!
Dax stays in this for FTR but Cole says that’s fine, Roddy & Kyle are in control. Kyle tags in and DUMPS Dax out. Roddy keeps after Dax, Kyle is after Cash, but Cash turns things around. Roddy CHOPS away on Dax, BOOTS Cash, then he brings Cash around to have him take a seat. The chair broke but Roddy just CHOPS Cash again and again. Kyle runs from the apron to MISSILE DROPKICK FTR into the barriers! The fans fire up as Roddy helps Kyle stand. Paragon stands FTR up to keep after them. Roddy throws Dax into the crowd! Roddy goes out to CHOP away on Dax! Cash FLAPJACKS Kyle off barriers!

Dax crawls to the ROPEBREAK! The leglock is undone, and Dax drags Roddy to the ropes. Dax HIP DROPS the bad leg! The ref reprimands but Dax taunts Kyle. Stokely likes how this is going now, and Dax drags Roddy around by the bad leg. Dax stomps the leg, Collision returns to single picture, and Dax steps over, only for Roddy to BOOT him away! Dax hits POST! Cash hurries to tag in, and he hurries to stay between Kyle and Roddy!
Roddy dodges Cash, hot tag to Kyle! Kyle DUMPS Cash out, ROCKS Dax, then runs to FLYING KNEE Cash down! The fans fire up but Dax rushes out there! Kyle fires off a strike fest on Dax, then LEG SWEEPS! Kyle pushes Cash into the ring, runs up in the corner, and forearm SMASHES! Then a wrench and ELBOW BREAKER! Cash goes up, Dax reels Roddy in, but Kyle SHOVES Cash off the corner! Roddy fights the lift to then give Kyle a target, FLYING KNEE! Jackknife bridge, TWO!! FTR survives, but Dax gets a KICK! KNEE! AX and DOUBLE SMASH!! Roddy hobbles to the cover while Kyle PLANCHAS Cash! TWO!! Dax survives, Cole is concerned, but Stoke coaches his guys. Roddy tags Kyle and the fans rally up even more.
Roddy & Kyle stand Dax up, Roddy runs, but Cash again CLOBBERS Kyle! But Roddy fights off Shatter Machine this time! And Kyle’s back to CLOBBER Cash! Roddy JUMP KNEES Dax, then he and Dax give him TOTAL ANNIHILATION!! Kyle covers, Cash gives Dax the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts three, but then he sees the foot!! The fans and Paragon think they’ve won, but no, this is a mockery of this feud’s ignition point! The match is going to keep going, and Cash CHOP BLOCKS Roddy in the confusion! Kyle grabs Cash’s leg to ANKLE LOCK!! But Cash isn’t legal! Cash turns over, CLAWS Kyle’s eyes, feed to Dax’s roll-up, with tights! TWO!!!

Stokely cheers as he makes all the difference! Will the Top Guys continue to win by any means necessary until they’re back on top of AEW? WAIT! Daniel Garcia storms his way out here! He has a mic and a crowbar, but which one is he gonna use?! Stoke has Garcia hold on, the ref tells Garcia to stand down, but Garcia says what he really wanted to do is come down and beat all three of them over the head with the crowbar. “But I can’t. Because I have too much love for the both of you. And I thought you two had a lot of love for me, too. Because any time that one of my so-called mentors left me high and dry, left me stranded, you guys were there to pick up the pieces and put me back on my feet.”
The fans rally for Garcia, and Garcia says after what FTR did to Adam Copeland and 2Point0, and then after they tried to break Garcia’s neck, Garcia was left looking for answers. But Garcia realized that he won’t get those answers just standing around having a therapy session with them. The fans say use the crowbar then! Garcia says he has an idea. Next week, it doesn’t matter if it is Dax, Cash, Stokely, all of them, fifteen of them, a hundred of them, FTR, CPR, the ER, it doesn’t matter! Just meet him in the ring so he can beat the answers out of them!! The fans fire up for that! Who will accept this challenge from an enraged Red Death?
My Thoughts:
A very good Collision, but wow, six years and they haven’t learned how to not be redundant. While Moxley and Samoa Joe had good promos, Moxley having two promos is stupid. Skip the video one Moxley did backstage and just give us Moxley responding in anger to what Joe had to say. Same effect, but much more efficient. To be fair, I feel like a good number of this night was thrown together last minute. Because hey look, another match with “prize money” on the line when we know that’s kayfabe. It was still an awesome match from all four guys, with Hologram watching a la Sting and Darby, but what’s the point of a fake money prize? Sammy calls out Adam Cole here, why not make it some kind of TNT Championship #1 contender’s match?
Very good match from Storm VS Frost and a very good promo from Storm, and while we know Mercedes Mone VS Jamie Hayter is set, this feels like someone is going to challenge Storm for Double or Nothing in an attempt to change the All In: Texas plans. The wildest thing they could do is make it Athena as her way of getting to the All In card. They could even make it title for title because it’s Double or Nothing, and the winner brings both those titles to facing Mercedes Mone, and they have ALL the titles on the line because it’s All In! But because it’s that wild, they won’t do it. And to be fair, they really shouldn’t because then who would ever get a belt off the “Ultima Dragon” they create?
Megan of course beats Harley, but I appreciate that it led to Anna Jay making the save. Anna and Harley can certainly make a great team to battle Megan & Ford, but I feel like Megan & Ford win mostly because of Megan. Awesome match from Alexander VS Brody, and I really like that on the same day Konosuke and El Phantasmo have a 15 minute time limit draw in NJPW, Alexander and Brody have one here in AEW. Archer getting involved was also good stuff, but there’s no word on when Buddy Matthews is getting back so I’m not sure the chances of Hounds of Hell VS Don Callis Family.
But after that good promo from the Outrunners, I bet we get them and Brody working together as rather strange bedfellows. Very good stuff with Gates of Agony. They of course squashed their opponents tonight, but I like that we got a brawl of them and the former Learning Tree. Though, the brawl could’ve been a bit better, but I understand how no one wanted to fall on that hard concrete of the parking lot. I’m pretty sure we’ll get a tag match now, helping reestablish both teams in the tag division. But while CRU had a good promo to say they’re done with Top Flight, they’re like chihuahuas barking a big game thinking they can go against Kaun & Liona in a fair fight.
Caster adding a time limit to his Open Challenge was hilarious, since it added to how humiliating it was for Caster to lose fast. And Garcia answering the challenge also helped tie into tonight’s main event with FTR. Which also seemed rather out of nowhere, but it did make sense in story for FTR to go 2 outta 3 with Kyle & Roddy. Great main event with that, and I actually like Stokely’s strategy of forgoing the first fall to avoid any further damage. As such, FTR of course pulled off the comeback to win out, allowing Garcia to confront them. Thankfully, Garcia didn’t side with FTR, I had feared they’d do a lame bit of logic leaping. Garcia against either Dax or Cash will be a great singles match, and I feel like Cope will make some sort of heroic return so Garcia can have a tag partner to face FTR at Double or Nothing. Then Garcia turns.
