Match #5: Big Josh vs. Black Bart
Big Josh comes down to the ring with two bears walking on their hind legs. Josh is backed up off the tie up, but reverses the momentum with a couple of hip tosses. He steps on Bart with the Log Roll and the two regroup. Collar and elbow tie up and Bart rakes the eyes. Josh fights back with punches and chops. He sends Bart for the ride and hits a straight left. Josh grabs a wristlock and works over the arm by using his shoulder. He whips Bart to the ground and hangs on. Bart cannot escape and he’s whipped down to the mat once again.

Slowly to their feet, Josh is pushed to the ropes. Bart rakes the eyes and goes on offense. A snapmare take down followed by another eye rake from Bart. The men brawl on their feet and Bart hangs Josh up on the top rope. The referee redirects Bart and Josh fights from his knees. Bart attempts a couple of clotheslines, but Josh reverses them into arm bar takedowns. Josh chops Bart, sends him for the ride and hits him with a double ax handle. Big Josh lands the Whoopie Cushion and gets the win.
Winner: Big Josh (Whoopie Cushion)

  • EA’s Take: Welcome back, Black Bart. Your homecoming gift is a pay-per-view loss to Big Josh. Talk about a guy that was given some rough material to work with, as the future Doink The Clown starts his circus-like characters here with the bear-wielding Big Josh. How does a dude only 6 feet tall and 243 pounds get the name BIG Josh in this era? So stupid.

In The Arena: Paul E. Dangerously comes down to the ring with a cowboy hat on, tells the fans to shut their mouths and introduces Stan ‘The Lariat’ Hansen. Hansen criticizes Dangerously’s hat, and says the reason he is here is to challenge the younger talent. He specifically calls out Dustin Rhodes.

Match #6: Oz w/The Great Wizard vs. Tim Parker
A massive, elaborate looking stage setup looking like the land of Oz welcomes the debuting character of Oz to the ring. Parker rushes in and is hit by a shoulder tackle. Oz scoop slams him and lifts him for a spinning powerbomb. Squash match over.
Winner: Oz (Spinning Powerbomb)

  • EA’s Take: If you were watching this in 1991, you probably wouldn’t guess that the man with one of the goofiest gimmicks of all time would go on to be one of the most influential game-changers and a future Hall of Famer. Who came up with this?! A week after his last match as The Master Blaster, you simply put this hot garbage on him and dye his hair? Nash’s athleticism for a big man was very underrated, he clearly had potential to be a big star and this is what you give him. I think we can say #TypicalWCW – and I’m sure I’ll be saying that a lot for some of these early 90’s pay-per-views. Just some of the classic, horrible ideas from WCW.

Backstage: Missy Hyatt is outside the locker room. She enters and runs into Terrance Taylor. Taylor says it’s not over between he and Rhodes. She heads toward the shower looking for Z-Man and is instead confronted by Stan ‘The Lariat’ Hansen once again, getting run out of there just like last time.

Match #7 – Taped Fist Match: ‘Flyin’ Brian Pillman vs. Barry Windham
Windham shoves Brian and he’s quick to get right back up. Collar and elbow tie up and Windham hits a shoulder tackle. Pillman comes back with one of his own. They run the ropes and Pillman hits a hip toss following with a flying shoulder block. Pillman assaults Windham with rights and the referee breaks it up in the corner. Windham sneaks in a kick and it’s his turn to abuse his opponent with rights. He targets Pillman’s ribs and scoops him for a slam. Windham heads for the top rope, Pillman is up and he dropkicks him all the way to the floor. He gets on the top rope and leaps to the floor with a right.

Windham tries to escape into the ring but Pillman pulls him back out. Windham reverses the energy and sends Pillman face first into the ring post. Both men are lacerated. They re-enter the ring but not for long. Windham dumps him to the elevated entrance ramp and drops him down, face first into the steel railing. Pillman is punched back into the ring. They run, Pillman ducks a clothesline and lands a spinning heel kick. Open handed chops from Pillman until Windham rakes the eyes.

Flyin Brian is hot shotted across the top rope before getting an elbow to the head. Pillman tries to fight back with more open handed chops but he is lifted by a belly to back suplex. They run the ropes and both men collide head first. They get up slowly and Windham uses the taped fist with more rights. He can’t get Pillman up with a vertical suplex, and Brian delivers one instead. Pillman goes for a high risk move, but Windham low blows him down onto the top rope. Barry Windham hits a patented superplex and picks up the win.
Winner: Barry Windham (Superplex)

  • EA’s Take: Why was this match so short? These two can both go and this match could have stolen the show if it went longer than seven minutes. I’m not a fan of the Taped Fist deal and find it to be silly, but I was enjoying this one and then it just…ended. I love how they’ve been using this feud with Windham to give Pillman a much more aggressive side but still, very puzzling the time it was given.
