1. Once in a Lifetime

Years after the Icon vs Icon match WWE fans got to see another dream match when the Rock faced John Cena at WrestleMania 28. This time he was in the Hogan role as the established star. If you were to ask most fans who would you have Rock face when he came back in 2011 most fans would have said Cena. A year long build from when Rock cost Cena the WWE title at WrestleMania 27. Through out the year they cut biting promos on each especially in the last few weeks leading up to the event which you could tell there where hints of how the guys truly felt.

While the significance of this moment was hindered by the rematch a year later at the time I hadn’t been more excited for a match. It deserved to go on last because it was a dream match and it was in the Rock’s hometown. This going on last was a lesson they learned from Mania 18. All due respect to Punk and Jericho but they wouldn’t have been able to follow this.

As a singular moment it definitely belongs here it’s just a shame they had to devalue it the next year.
