Chairshot Classics
Chairshot Classics: WWF This Tuesday In Texas (1991)
Backstage: Standing in the interview area is Gene Okerlund with Hulk Hogan. The Hulkster claims tonight will be the greatest night in Hulkamania history, getting his revenge for being dropped on his head on a chair. His Hulkamaniacs gave him the strength to get to his feet and after Jack Tunney made the rematch, he knew he would lead the pack back to his WWF Title.
Match #5 for the WWF Championship: WWF Champion The Undertaker w/Paul Bearer vs. Hulk Hogan
The challenger wastes little time and slides right in only to be met with boots, Paul Bearer is on the action as well as the bell rings, Hulk finds his footing and rams him into Undertaker with a double noggin knocker. Hogan with heavy rights in the corner, shoots the champion across and follows in with a clothesline, then reigns down right hands from the 2nd rope. WWF President Jack Tunney comes and takes a seat at ringside, back in the ring Hulkster with an inverted atomic drop, then whips Taker to the ropes and staggers him with a clothesline. He attempts a slam and Undertaker blocks it, Hogan rakes the eyes and delivers the slam, then drops Bearer off the apron wth a right hand.
He clotheslines the champion over the top to the floor, convenes with Paul Bearer and gets pulled to the apron by the hair, Hulkster with heavy rights to drop him back down only to get dragged out under the bottom rope. The champion with shots to the throat to take control, chokes the challenger and heads back in the ring to do it some more on the mat and in the corner. Undertaker climbs to the 2nd rope for more leverage, Hulk powers him out and drives him spine-first into the turnbuckles, whips him across and charges in, but takes a boot to the chin. Taker grabs the wrist, scales the turnbuckle and walks to the rope to deliver a clubbing shot to the back, then goes back to a choke, Hulk rolling to the outside. He drags the champion out and delivers stiff rights, looks to sends him into the post, Undertaker counters and introduces the challenger to the steel, then rolls him back in.
He applies a claw to the face of Hogan and grinds him down to the canvas, the challenger starts to slip away, but finds an adrenaline rush and breaks the hold with boots. He hits the ropes, Taker follows suit and gets caught up in them, hitting the mat, Hulk shoots him to the corner and charges in, running into another boot to the face. The champion sends Hogan in for a flying clothesline that gets a count of 2, grabs the wrist and tries to walk the ropes again, this time getting pulled down to the mat by the challenger. Ric Flair makes his way to ringside and is met by Tunney as Hogan Hulks up in the ring, clotheslines the champion over the top and heads outside, delivering a chair shot to Flair’s back that causes him to fall onto Tunney.
Hulkster tosses Undertaker back inside, whips him to the ropes and scores with an elbow between the eyes, then back to the ropes for a chop, but he’s still unable to knock Taker down. The champion goes to the eyes and looks for a back body drop, the challenger prevents it with a kick, but gets his eyes raked again. Flair’s up now to the apron holding a chair, Undertaker looks to ram Hogan into it, but Hulk turns the tables and sends the champion in instead. He clotheslines Flair off the apron, whips Taker in for the big boot, attempts to pick him up and takes throat shot, Flair attempting to revive Tunney on the outside.
Undertaker holds Hulk up as Bearer gets to the apron with the urn, tries to clock Hogan, but he ducks and Taker is whacked. The Hulkster drops Bearer with a right hand, grabs a handful of ashes from the urn and throws it in Taker’s eyes, grabs a roll-up and regains the championship.
Winner and NEW WWF Champion: Hulk Hogan (Schoolboy)
- After The Bell: The new champion does his usual routine to close the show as Jack Tunney discusses what went on with the official.
- EA’s Take: A lot going on surrounding this one in a match that wasn’t nearly as clean as the one they had just 6 days prior at Survivor Series. Some of it wasn’t the competitors’ fault such as Undertaker getting caught up in the ropes, however I think there were too many other moving pieces thrown in which created some confusion. Due to all the bells and whistles surrounding both Hogan/Undertaker matches, WWF President Jack Tunney would declare the WWF Title vacant, putting it up for grabs in the following month’s Royal Rumble match.
EA’s Finisher: The energy from the crowd definitely plays a part in this event coming off very well on-screen, but it would be deemed as an overall failure. With only 5 matches on the PPV, buy-rates were very low and the WWF’s attempt to establish Tuesday as a possible PPV night was a complete failure. The action was overall great, but the number of bouts was a little on the low side and the show only ran just over 90 minutes. There was also very little build to the show as it had only been announced as a PPV at the end of Survivor Series 6 days prior. In comparison, it would be similar to a loaded episode of SmackDown today, but absolutely worth the watch.

Classic Survivor Series
Attitude Of Aggression #299- The Big Five Project: Survivor Series ’94
The Big Five Project is back for Survivor Series’ 94, featuring Bob Backlund’s shocking victory over Bret Hart, plus Undertaker’s revenge!
The Big Five Project returns to bring 1994 to an end as the guys cover Survivor Series ’94. As 1994 came to an end, the winds of change continued to sweep through the WWF and that was highly evident on a November evening in San Antonio. A better event than the year before, Survivor Series ’94 featured the break-up of Shawn Michaels and Diesel, a feud that would extend all the way to WrestleMania XI. Meanwhile, Survivor Series ’94 would see a shocking WWF Championship title change as Bob Backlund, with a huge assist from Owen Hart, would dethrone Bret “Hitman” Hart in an unforgettable, emotionally charged, and highly controversial match. Thanks to Bret’s mother, Mr. Backlund became the oldest WWF Champion in history (at the time) and Owen Hart showed us all just how low he would stoop to screw his brother over. Add in some solid Survivor Series matches, a special appearance by Chuck Norris, and The Undertaker exacting a measure of revenge against Yokozuna and we are left with a very solid PPV to close out 1994! We have all the details for you here, on another epic installment of the Big Five Project.

Classic SummerSlam
Attitude Of Aggression #298- Summer Slam ’94
Kinny KIlla joins the Big Five Project as the guys cover Summer Slam ’94, including a watch along of one of the greatest Steel Cage matches of all time!
The Big Five Project returns…and so does Kinny Killa as one of the best friends of the show makes a special guest appearance to cover Summer Slam ’94! Emanating from the brand-new United Center in Chicago, the 1994 edition of WWE’s summer extravaganza was an exceptionally good event that featured Razor Ramon recapturing the Intercontinental Championship, a very surprising heel turn, and one of the best women’s matches anywhere in 1994. The highlight, of course, was the epic Steel Cage match for the WWF Championship between Owen Hart and his brother Bret “The Hitman” Hart and the guys do a watch along of that match here. Is it the greatest Steel Cage match of all time, as Dave suggests, or does the match go too long? All that plus the return of The Undertaker as he takes on…. The Undertaker? It is as ridiculous as it sounds, but we have all the details for you here, on another epic installment of the Big Five Project.
