After last week’s shocking performance, what’s the state of the NXT Women’s Division and what is next for the NXT Champion and his friends?

I love The Highers (Aliyah and Vanessa Borne),  and I love Mia Yim, so I was a little torn by this match. I am also tired of this cringey storyline. Since it seems that Yim is being built to face Shayna Baszler, I was a little surprised that she didn’t just flatten Aliyah, but I’m also glad. I love Aliyah and think she hasn’t gotten nearly enough chances to show how good she is. I’m not surprised Mia won, but I wouldn’t have been mad if Aliyah had won. I’m not sure what to think of Yim taking offense to the commentators, but we’ll see where this goes.

I am eager to see what will come of Shirai vs LeRae after last week. I also love William Regal as GM of NXT. He’s such a great authority figure, but I think Forgotten Sons are the ones making the mistake. I love that we’re getting Street Profits vs Bald Brawlers next week!

Adam Cole is so obnoxious, but I guess that’s part of his charm. I am glad that we’re getting more from the Cole vs Gargano feud, even if it’s just Cole being an obnoxious twat to Gargano’s parents. I am mad that we didn’t get a fight in the restaurant, but I guess it wouldn’t be as good as Austin vs Booker T in the grocery store. I was also waiting for one of those prospects to knock him on his ass.

I’m sort of getting behind KUSHIDA, he’s still not my Marty McFly, but this match looked like Karate Kid vs Back to the Future.

Tyler Breeze seems to be getting his fire back since coming back to NXT, which is nice. He’s an example of a gimmick that worked in NXT flopping on the main roster, so to see him getting to be a big fish again is wonderful.

Match 2 of the Breakout Tournament which was Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott vs Cameron Grimes had a lot to live up to after last week’s barn burner between Justin Wilde and Angel Garza. In my opinion, while it was a good match, it didn’t have the same ‘Why the hell have these guys not been on the show?!’ feel. Grimes won, which is okay, I guess, but it definitely didn’t live up to last week.

I’m still not on the Belair bandwagon. I just…don’t like her. She’s a good athlete and she’s got a lot of skills, but she sets my teeth on edge, so I really didn’t care about her match against the no name jobber. It filled the time, but hopefully she’s out of the title picture for awhile.

I also can’t stand Matt Riddle, who also annoys the living hell out of me.

Strong vs Breeze was REALLY good, as expected. These guys have very similar styles, but it worked for them. It was also nice to see Strong shine on his own and getting the win, even though O’Reilly and Fish helped. I still want him and Cole to feud for the title, but that seems to be on the shelf for now.
