Imperium VS Oliver Carter & Ashton Smith!

The Ring General may be the Prince’s target, but the soldiers look to keep the NXT UK Tag Division under their thumb. Will Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel continue to win against the Predator Killer and the Prestige?

The teams sort out as fans “WOOP!” for Smith and Carter. Carter starts with Barthel at the bell, but Barthel doesn’t seem to take Carter serious. They tie up, Carter grabs the arm but Barthel clamps onto a shoulder. Barthel chinbars Carter off his arm to then go after Carter’s arm. Barthel tortures the arm and then hooks a leg to bring Carter to the mat. They go around, Barthel hooks a leg again to tie Carter up. Carter endures the modified death lock and reaches back to pry Barthel off. But Barthel rolls to get the hold again. Gallus discusses contenders.

“The Hunt, Imperium, Grizzled Young Vets, Flash and Mark, we’ve beat them all.” Since day one, they’ve been saying NXT UK is their kingdom, and now they’re proving it. And in the 20-Man Battle Royal, Joe Coffey vows that 19 others are getting hucked and he goes after the big score again. They pay their belt boy for a job well done, and Joe shows three Kings. Will Gallus be the three kings of NXT UK this Spring?

Backstage interview with Carter & Smith.

A great match against Imperium but a hard loss. They’re working together well as a team, so how do they keep building on that? Smith says that the moment these two decided to be a team, they knew it wouldn’t be smooth sailing. But they’re serious about NXT UK having the best tag team division. But speaking of, Pretty Deadly walks over to mockingly applaud Carter & Smith. Sam Stoker and Lewis Howley get on Carter’s nerves, but Smith keeps him back. Pretty Deadly say they’re just joking around. Smith says not to worry about them, the 20-Man Battle Royal is coming. #AlwaysForward! But will Smith and Carter gain much ground in a stacked field?

Aoife Valkyrie VS Nina Samuels!

The force of nature has a lot of “buzz,” but the Rose Pink Devil doesn’t believe the hype. Will the spotlight still be on The Nina Samuels Show after her encounter with the decider of fate?

The bell rings and Nina circles with Aoife. They tie up, Aoife headlocks but Nina uses a handstand and handspring to slip out. Nina poses but she and Aoife tie up again. Winner: Aoife Valkyrie, by pinfall

The Valkyrie has slain the leading lady with Peripeteia, the reversal of fortune! Will Aoife change the fortunes of the entire NXT UK Women’s Division, especially the champion?

Backstage interview with Piper Niven.

Last week, the Scottish Viper came to the rescue of Dani Luna, mostly because of what Kay Lee Ray was doing. Piper has vouched for Dani as being “big enough and strong enough” to not need anyone looking out for her. But what Dani doesn’t realize is how dangerous KLR can be. Piper has watched KLR destroy one friend already, so she won’t let KLR do that to anyone else. Next week, Piper teams with Dani against KLR and Jenny. When Piper finally gets after KLR, KLR will pay.

NXT UK hears from Flash Morgan Webster.

The Modfather has an update on Mark Andrews after the attack backstage last week. No one really knows the extent of the damage yet and Andrews is undergoing further testing. We all hope it isn’t as bad as it looks. But FMW vows to find the person who did this and make them pay! Andrews wants FMW to focus on the 20-Man Battle Royal, and that is what he will do for both Andrews and the Southwest Subculture. Is the culprit among the other 19 entrants?

A-Kid VS Noam Dar!

The Spanish Ace was minding his own business, and didn’t appreciate the Scottish Supernova butting in. Will AK make Mr. 11 butt out and back off for once in his life?

The bell rings and AK circles with Dar. They tie up as fans duel, and AK grabs at the kick. Dar gets away and respects the speed. They go again, Dar gets a waistlock and takedown but AK gets free. Dar and AK tie up with knuckle locks and go shoulder to shoulder. Dar rolls back and wrenches AK to the mat. Fans sing for Darth Dar but AK kips up and bridges around to headscissor! Fans cheer that but Dar bridges back. AK keeps on and cranks Dar’s head in the hold. Dar moves up and around to pop free and then tackle AK for a headlock. Dar adds a noogie! The ref reprimands but AK fights his way up. AK powers Dar to ropes and the ref calls for a break. AK lets up but Dar shoves. Dar avoids the kick and brushes off his shoulder.

Dar and AK circle and tie up again. AK rolls and then gets a leg to then get a headlock. Dar fights to keep his shoulders off the mat and then works his way around. They stand, AK wrenches and hooks Dar up for an Octopus! AK pulls an arm but Dar pops free. AK sunset flips but Dar stays up. Dar stomps but misses and AK kicks him in the back! AK trips Dar up, runs but Dar trips him up. Dar tries a rear mount but AK slips out the back to trip Dar up and float to a ghost pin! TWO and Dar baits AK into a backslide. TWO and Dar shoves. AK leaps over for a sunset flip, TWO! Another ghost pin, ONE! Dar has the half nelson cover, ONE! AK has the ghost, ONE!

Dar again, ONE! AK again, ONE! ONE, ONE, ONE, ONE, ONE, ONE, TWO!! AK almost had Dar but he cartwheels to avoid the Penalty Kick! Fans cheer this great exchange and even AK smiles. Fans cheer but Dar circles AK like a shark. Dar drags AK around with an armlock and digs his knuckles into wherever he can. Fans rally up and AK fights up to throw body shots and forearms. Dar kicks a leg out but AK runs, goes up and over and arm-drags! AK kips up to dropkick Dar out! Fans fire up as AK builds speed to the corner, but Dar gets in. AK adjusts to leap! Into a FUJIWARA! AK endures being bent around, rolls through, and catches Dar’s punch into a TRIANGLE HOLD! Dar powers up but AK holds on. Dar pops the legs apart to get a kneebar! AK stands up and spins out to get the armbar! Dar reaches and rolls to get a cover, TWO! AK ROUNDHOUSES Dar!

Dar wobbles, AK fires up and grabs Dar’s shoulders, but Dar mule kick LOW BLOWS!! The ref completely misses that! Dar runs for the NOVA ROLLA!! Cover, Dar wins!!

Winner: Noam Dar, by pinfall

The Scottish Supernova is controversial as ever! The referee’s angle may have been what screwed A-Kid over but Dar still wants to brag on the mic. “Well then. An over the top rope 20-Man Battle Royal. Ooooh~! More like 19 Dafties, 1 Supernova 11 and YOUR next NXT UK Champion! No pinkie, no party. Thank you, b-b-b-b-b!” Dar heads out, ready to turn it up to 11 and tear the knob off. But will he be able to win that match without cheating?

More superstars talk about the NXT UK Battle Royal.

Dave Mastiff IS “the most powerful superstar in the Battle Royal.” There is no one who can throw a proper British heavyweight like him over the top rope. The Wrestling Genius, Kassius Ohno, in a ring with 19 “mongrels and heathens,” and you will see technique, skill and acumen propel Ohno to victory. Ilja Dragunov doesn’t just train hard, he prepares for war. His plan for the battle royal? “Just go in.” 19 other superstars will just go out, because Ilja will hit the ring like a lightning strike! Those other 19 are great superstars, but he is the only one who is UNBESIEGBAR!!

NXT Cruiserweight Championship: Jordan Devlin VS Travis Banks!

For the first time ever, this brand will have this title defended between two of its superstars! However, champion and challenger each other well. Will the Irish Ace Cruiserweight Championship Tour continue past Coventry? Or will it be cut short by the Kiwi Buzzsaw?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and this rivalry is renewed with gold!

Banks and Devlin circle and tie up. They break then tie up again. Banks wrangles Devlin to the mat but Devlin gets up. Devlin arm-drags but Banks headscissors, only for Devlin to pop out. Fans rally and duel as the two go again. Banks gets the arm but Devlin chinbars. Banks wrenches and gets a headlock takeover. Devlin headscissors out but Banks pops out and the two stand off. Fans cheer again as the two go again. Devlin wrenches and brings Banks down to stand on his head. Banks sits up but Devlin shifts to a hammerlock. Devlin digs his knuckles in but Banks fights his way up. Banks throws body shots but Devlin uppercuts. Devlin whips but runs into Banks’ boot. Devlin runs back in but Banks goes up and over to trip Devlin up. Banks runs, into a SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO!!

Devlin catches his breath and stands on Banks’ head. The ref reprimands and Devlin lets up to bring down the knee pads. Devlin brings Banks up for a double knee smash! Devlin brings his knee pads back up and he drives elbows into Banks’ shoulders. Banks gets to a corner but Devlin digs his boots into Banks’ head. Devlin lets off at 4 and shouts, “I know the rules!” Banks CHOPS Devlin, and CHOPS, and CHOPS! And CHOPS! Devlin turns it around but Banks dodges the chop to CHOP again! Banks brings Devlin out but Devlin jawbreakers back! Devlin grabs Banks’ arm and gives toying kicks. The ref reprimands Devlin but Banks eggs Devlin on! Devlin kicks and kicks but Banks just takes them all!

Banks gets up to throw forearm after forearm! But Devlin hits the URENAGE! And standing moonsault, onto knees! Devlin goes to a corner and fans rally up. Banks runs side to side for a big forearm smash! Then the other way for another! Then corner to corner, but he knows Devlin follows! Banks sweeps the legs and Devlin crashes into buckles! But Banks trips Devlin to then run and SHINING WIZARD! Banks spins to ROLLING ELBOW!

Devlin fires up but Banks BOOTS him out of the ring! Banks runs and DIVES, direct hit with the tope! Fans fire up with Banks while Devlin is wiped out at the ramp. Coventry chants for “NXT! NXT!” as Banks drags Devlin back into the ring. Banks goes up top and leaps, DUMDUM STOMPS! Cover, TWO!! Devlin survives and Banks can’t believe it! Both men stir and fans rally up again. Both men are down and fans are thunderous for “NXT! NXT!” Devlin sits up first and grits his teeth. He drags Banks to a corner drop zone and heads up top. Banks gets up to trip Devlin up! Devlin is in the Tree of Woe and Banks heads up top! Banks digs his knuckles into the knees, then leaps for WOE STOMPS!! Cover, TWO!! Winner: Jordan Devlin, by pinfall (still NXT Cruiserweight Champion)

The Irish Ace had something up his sleeve and he cheats Banks! Devlin’s Cruiserweight Championship Tour continues, but is his luck going to run out?

My Thoughts:

A really good episode for NXT UK, but sadly the word is that even TakeOver: Dublin has to be postponed. That news only came out today, but I’m sure there will be an adjustment in next week’s episode to account for that. But since the 20-Man Battle Royal was already recorded, I’m sure we’ll still get that match aired next week. That match is really more about who isn’t in it, as the NXT UK Roster still isn’t that big. And as far as who comes out of it to (eventually) challenge Walter, I can’t be sure. Finn Balor has made it seem like he didn’t stick around in the UK but he might be a surprise entrant and win it all. Surely the plan was for Dublin to have more than just Jordan Devlin to cheer for as a “hometown” hero.

Speaking of Irish superstars, Aoife VS Nina was a good match, and naturally Aoife wins. She still needs time to build up as a character, and perhaps there will be promo opportunities so we can understand more of that character and the personality. Piper had a good promo, and her match alongside Dani Luna against KLR and Jinny will be an interesting one. Jinny wants a new sidekick after Jazzy Gabert left, I wonder if Dani turns on Piper to fill that role. Dar VS A-Kid was really good, but Dar wins with controversy to keep AK strong. I don’t know if Dar lasts that long in the battle royal but I would love to see Devlin VS Dar for the Cruiserweight Championship just for great Obnoxious Heel VS Obnoxious Heel segments.

Imperium VS Carter & Smith was a good tag match but Imperium was definitely winning as the more experienced team. Pretty Deadly mocking Carter & Smith surely means that will be a tag feud going on, but I don’t see either team becoming contenders so soon. Gallus’ card looks pretty open unless Moustache Mountain reunites while neither is doing much else. FMW says he wants after the superstar who attacked Andrews, but I still think it might be The Hunt turning Heel. However, I would also hope it’s Eddie Dennis coming back around to his original promos about being bitter towards old friends, Andrews and Pete Dunne. Dennis might even become the leader of The Hunt, being he’s nicknamed the Welsh Dragon now.

Devlin VS Banks was great again but I’m a bit surprised they had Devlin win with controversy. I can see them wanting to keep Banks strong if they want him to eventually get some kind of title somewhere, but it doesn’t really help Devlin’s power rankings back. Devlin is apparently going to be in the 20-Man Battle Royal, but I don’t know if he’d win. If there was originally the plan for Balor VS Walter at TakeOver: Tampa, which is canceled to be used as material for NXT TV instead, I wonder… Was Balor going to beat Walter and take the NXT UK Championship to then have Irish Prince VS Irish Ace, title for title? Not likely, as that would be a lot even for a great wrestler like Balor. But maybe one day, we get proper crossover between the Cruiserweight Division and other titles.

My Score: 8.4/10

Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 4.3.2025

The first episode under the new regime, let’s see how bad it is.

Published

on

Well this is the first episode with the new regime, and I’m not looking forward to it. I’m expecting a car crash, because Delirious is worthless, Dreamer is hit or miss at the best, and no one else has a proven track record at having a brain. So I expect pure garbage.

Let’s see if I get surprised!

Ratings:

  • #1 Contender Match: Elijah vs Frankie Kazarian: Kaz wins via Cradle – N/A
  • Spitfire vs Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend: Jakara wins via M-KO – ** 1/2
  • Hardy Boyz vs Great Hands w/Tasha Steelz: Jeff wins via Swanton Bomb – ** 1/4
  • Tessa Blanchard, Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx w/Fallon Henley vs Lei Ying Lee, Xia Brookside & Masha Slamovich: Tessa wins via Buzzsaw DDT – ***

Results:

We lead off with Joe Hendry music because he’s on commentary during the Elijah versus Kaz match.

#1 Contender Match: Elijah vs Frankie Kazarian

We start off with Kaz sticking and moving to dodge Elijah, but he eventually catches him and goes to the Rope Walk quickly and pulls it off. Elijah tries to go into a Piledriver or something but Kaz slips it and pulls down Elijah with the slip. They go to the outside, Kaz throws Elijah into the post, then slaps Hendry, shoving match starts, Kaz charges and Hendry lifts but Kaz slips out the back and shoves Hendry into Elijah…the ref lets it slide. So Kaz throws in Elijah and a quick cradle gives Kaz the opportunistic win.

Post Match Hendry just goes crazy on Kaz, security pull apart spot, even Elijah pulls off Hendry and calms him down. Elijah playing the long game, not even arguing that Hendry cost him. The match didn’t have enough substance to rate, it was purely a plot device and a little convoluted.

Backstage segment of Hendry with the Doctor, Hendry apparently messed up his shoulder in the scuffle…so…that’s something.

System Ultimatum time is next. The crowd is booing the hell out of Eddie, and it’s a real reaction not go away heat or anything, Eddie plays in it well enough. Lish leads the way and wants to do the Planteer pose, but the rest just walk past her and she seems annoyed, while these others seem somber. This was going the way we expected with everyone sticking around. We finally get to Moose and doofus Deaner’s music hits. Deaner tries to get the crowd to rally around Moose resigning from The System. Moose says the People are right, but then beats the hell out of Deaner. They do the Planeteer pose over the corpse of Deaner. Hopefully we never see that dork again, just let him go be a jobber in Maple Leaf Pro.

Spitfire vs Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend

Jakara starts with Dani, a quick tie up, but Jakara strikes out of it, Arm Drag sends Dani flying, but Dani stops Jakara’s next attempts at offense, tags in Jody and a tandem moment rocks Jakara. Jody tags back out and Lash tags in, so it’s power and booty versus power and booty. Shoulder Tackle spot and Lash gets the best of it, Dani holds on to the ropes to stop the Whip recoil, Jody with the blind tag, they try to team up but Lash fights out of both. Jody goes Spider Monkey and tries to choke out Lash but Lash just walks her back to Jakara and tags out. Jakara is rolling until Jody holds the ropes and watches Jakara crash and burn on a Dropkick. Probably the best I’ve seen that spot in a long time. Dani tags in, they try the Scoop Slam tandem attack on Jakara, but Jakara moves and Dani just slams Jody into the mat.

Lash gets tagged in and starts to maul Dani. A little rotating offense keeping Dani isolated. Dani tries to find an opening but she’s eating move after move, they go for the Tandem Wheelbarrow Slam, but Dani gets the knees up. Dani finally gets a chance to tag out, Jody starts working over both Lash and Jakara. Stacks them in the corner to do her 10 Count Lariats, Exploder Suplex into rope hung Double Knees. Jody wants the German but Lash tries to stop it. Jody fights off Lash, manages a Stalling Jackhammer on Jakara, but Lash does manage to break up the pin. All four are in the ring, Dani gets tosses, Straight Right from Lash clocks Jody. Jakara flies to wipe out Dani, they look for the M-KO but Jody fights it off. Jody throwing Chops on both, it starts to look stupid, Jody tries to fire and Lash wants to clock her with the Forearm during the stall but hits Jakara.

Crossbody from Jody, Lash catches her, M-KO. Meta Girls win.

Oh great more talking, now the Hardyz are out to talk and Matt gives a decent but basic promo that goes into a bit of Broken just for the cheap pop. Jeff pokes fun at the “best brother tag team” joke from last week. If they weren’t The Hardyz the crowd wouldn’t care. Oh speaking of not caring, the Great Hands and snackalicious Tasha Steelz interrupt. Great Hands want to fight, Hardyz are okay with it of course, then Santino comes out. He says after the commercial Great Hams vs Hard Boys is on!

Hardy Boyz vs Great Hands w/Tasha Steelz

Hotch is getting worked over by both Hardys, a little classic tandem offense, an early pinfall, but Hotch claws the eyes and tags in Skyler. Skyler’s advantage last like 12 seconds, he tags Jeff, Rocket Launcher into the middle rope with a Leg Drop from Jeff. Jeff tries to Whisper in the Wind in the opposition corner like a dumbass, so Hotch crotches him, the Hands do the double crotch stomp as Jeff is in the Tree of Woe. Assisted offense, they try to perch Jeff, but Jeff fights them off and pulls off the best Whisper in a minute. Matt gets the hot tag, Scoop Slams, Delete Headsmashes, and a Side Effect on Hotch for fun. Matt wants the Twist on Skyler, Skyler counters, Jeff tags in, Poetry in Motion, Side Effect on Skyler and only a near fall.

Twist of Hate attempt, Hotch breaks it up, Matt takes out Hotch, Skyler almost pulls off the Flash upset with the Cradle. Plot Twist, Swanton, and Jeff wins.

Ryan Nemeth is in the back watching the match, has a few snarky things to say while wearing an LA Sparks jersey, Leon Slater and his lack of charisma in Birmingham accent shows up. Hates the WNBA obviously since he tries to push Ryan out of camera frame, and then they’ll prolly have a match at some point. At least Ryan has a gimmick that’s been amusing, but God is Leon Slater useless.

THEY HAVE AN INJURY REPORT SEGMENT – that’s soo damn corny. Never do this again, this is dumb as hell.

Oh great, more talking…SDL and Mance Warner. Where’s Keenan when I need someone to scream “WHY!?!”

This promo is complete shit, they even invent a bad magazine called TNA Weekly for this dumb thing. I hate this, and not in the “I wanna see them get beat up good heel work way”, I hate them because they’re useless, uninteresting and just saying dumb crap. When Santino comes out and effectively calls them stupid and cringe…that’s kind of a problem when the comedy character calls you dumb. THEY ARE REBRANDING THE BELT AGAIN! International Championship…ugh. Sami comes out to beat up Mance while Santino tries to wrestle the belt away from Steph. This is just cringe.

Mustafa Ali is doing great work. I’m a little mad this promo was buried in this awful episode.

Tessa Blanchard, Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx w/Fallon Henley vs Lei Ying Lee, Xia Brookside & Masha Slamovich

Tessa and Masha start, Masha shoots the half, rains down fists, Tessa kicks her off but Masha keeps up the aggression and forces Tessa to powder. Fatal Influence tries to come in, Xia and Lei dispatch them, Dual Baseball Slide take out the NXT girls, and a Middle Rope Plancha from Masha takes out Tessa as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial Lei Ying has Jacy in a grounded Arm Bar. A little hair pull makes Lei stand up, but she drops Jacy flat after a Round Kick, Low Sweep and then a Running Knee as she’s getting back up. A corner Down Strike has Lei rolling, but a blind tag from Jazmyn catches Lei by surprise and then she gets trapped in the heel corner. The Fatal Influence gals rotate in and out, all 3 take cheap shots, PK into a Senton for a near fall. Lei finally fights off the onslaught and gets Xia in. Xia is very fiery and angry, and now Jazmyn is getting her ass beat. Rosemary is in the audience to distract Xia a little but Xia still connects with Broken Wings and a near fall. Xia gets tripped up on the apron, Jacy gets tagged in and a PK drops Xia on the outside. Hard Irish Whip back in the ring and Cannonball from Jacy has Xia down and out. Jazmyn tags back in, and Xia tries to fire up, Monkey Flip but pulled away by Jacy, Xia tags out, Masha takes out both Fatal Influence members, goes for a pinfall but Tessa runs in with a head of steam to break the pinfall. All six are in for Signature spam spot. Spinning Heel kick from Masha, Fallon distracts on the outside, and Tessa takes advantage of all the chaos, Buzzsaw DDT and Tessa gets the pinfall victory.

Ethan Page interrupts Kaz’s promo at the end of the show. Claiming he should have the title shot since he pinned Joe in NXT. So the Rebellion match is Ethan Page versus Joe Hendry.

Overall Score: 1/10

The one point is for Mustafa’s promo and the main even being decent. But this was awful. Too much talking, an “Injury Report” like this is a real situation and not scripted, which is insulting, and YET AGAIN, a new name for the lower card title. Jesus Christ, stop renaming the damn belt. Legends/TV/King of the Mountain/Grand/Digital Media/International… just stop it. Stick to a name or stop doing a lower card belt. Also really lame that they keep trying to push Cardona as something important.

Kaz and Elijah’s thing is a stupid angle, The System firing was a giant cock tease and who the hell gives Eddie the power to call everyone to task? Mance and SDL are the worst thing on this show after Deaner’s existence. SDL has been a plague on TNA programming since wasting time with her “needs neck surgery” promo instead of a match. I do truly feel bad for Mustafa Ali’s promo being stuck on this pile of crap.

This was an episode that should’ve been an e-mail. Garbage effort, garbage stories, just straight up a waste of two hours. Even with the Ethan Page appearance, this episode was still worthless. Is it sad to say, I expected nothing and am still disappointed by this episode? Ugh… LOLTNA…

ROH World Tag Team Championships Proving Ground: Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara VS Cole Karter & Griff Garrison w/ The Frat House!

The Sons of Texas know MXM Collection is obsessed with them, but they have to focus on themselves right now. Will they check another team off the list? Or will The Diamond in the Rough & The Ivy League MVP have an even bigger reason to party tonight?

As The Frat House makes their entrance, Jacked Jameson is making the challenge for someone, anyone, to do sudden death beer pong. Jameson doesn’t think the fans are up to it, but The Natural & The Spanish God say bet. Jameson gives them the ping pong balls, then he and Preston Vance go outside the ring. Dustin & Sammy take aim, but then say “SUCK IT!” The Sons of Texas toss the balls, but Karter & Griff CLOBBER them from behind! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but the bell rings! Griff goes after Dustin, Karter has Sammy, then they double whip. Dustin & Sammy grab ropes, then TOSS Karter & Griff out!

The fans rally as Sammy & Dustin build speed, but then they strut, spinarooni, and pose! The fans cheer but The Frat House coaches up their boys. Griff & Karter rush in, but Dustin & Sammy dodge to then HIP TOSS! The fans cheer and Sammy keeps Karter in. Sammy snap suplexes, covers, TWO! Sammy clamps onto Karter, tags in Dustin, and the Sons of Texas DOUBLE SUPLEX! Karter writhes, Dustin runs, SHINING WIZARD! Sammy adds a STANDING MOONSAULT! Dustin covers, TWO! Karter stays in this but Dustin stays on him with an armlock. Dustin wrenches, tags Sammy, and Sammy climbs up. Sammy DOUBLE STOMPS the arm!

Sammy puts Karter against ropes and CHOPS! Sammy whips, hurdles, backflips over, then DROPKICKS Karter down! Sammy kips up so smooth and the fans cheer. Vance gets on the apron, Sammy takes a swing! Vance gets away, Karter runs up, but Sammy BOOTS him away! Griff HOTSHOTS Sammy, and Karter LARIATS Sammy down! Karter goes up to soak up heat, then he stomps away on Sammy. Karter drags Sammy up, bumps him off buckles, and he tags Griff. They mug Sammy, the ref counts, and Griff taunts Dustin. This lets Jameson & Vance CHOKE Sammy! Karter even digs his boot in!

The fans boo but The Frat House gets away with that. Griff stands on Sammy, then steps off at 4. The ref has to keep Dustin back, Jameson gets another cheap shot in. Griff scoops Sammy, puts him in a Tree of Woe, then stomps a mudhole in! Tag to Karter, he stomps away on Sammy, then he tags Griff. Griff stomps away on Sammy, taunts Dustin, btu Dustin storms in! Griff scrambles away but the Frat House just keeps beating Sammy down! Griff drags Sammy to a cover, TWO! The fans rally for Sammy but Griff tags Karter. They mug Sammy, and Karter reels Sammy in. Sammy fights the suplex, but Karter fires body shots!

Karter suplexes, but Sammy slips free! Sammy shoves Karter, dodges him, but DOUBLE LARIATS collide! The fans fire up while both men are down! Karter and Sammy crawl, but Griff storms in. The ref stops Griff, but that lets Vance YANK Dustin down and CLOBBER him! The fans boo but Karter stomps away on Sammy! Karter drags Sammy up, bumps him off buckles, and he tags Griff. They RAM Sammy into the corner, then Karter sends Griff in for a SPLASH! Griff feeds Sammy to Karter’s KNEE, and Griff BOOTS Sammy down! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer but Griff grows frustrated. Griff keeps Sammy down with a facelock.

Sammy endures, the fans rally up, and Sammy fights up. Dustin reaches out, Sammy powers forward, but Griff CLUBS away on Sammy’s back! Griff then shifts around to back suplex, but Sammy lands out! Karter swings on Sammy, Sammy ducks and GAMANGIRIS! Griff runs up, Sammy leaps over! Hot tag to Dustin! The fans fire up as Dustin rallies on Griff! Dustin whips, Griff reverses, but “Not Today!” UPPERCUT for Griff! Karter runs in, into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Griff runs in, into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, Karter breaks it! The Frat House stays in this but Sammy slides back in. Sammy runs up, wrenches Karter, and hits a CUTTER!

The fans fire up, Griff runs at Sammy but Sammy puts him in the corner! Sammy RAMS into Griff, goes outside to ENZIGIRI, and Griff staggers. Sammy aims from the apron and the fans fire up. But Jameson & Vance are there, so Sammy ARIHARA MOONSAULTS them down! The fans fire up, Griff runs up, but Sammy ROCKS Griff first! Sammy springboards, FLYING CUTTER! Dustin CHOPS Karter, and spreads him open in the corner! The fans fire up! Vance protests, the ref stops him, SHATTERED DREAMS for Karter! Griff is furious, eh runs up, but Dustin drop toeholds Griff into the corner!

And wait! The Dark Order is headed out here! They are very much upset with how The Frat House ruined their match last week, so Evil Uno & Alex Reynolds want to settle things with them! Vance & Jameson say fine, but then Dustin hits Griff with FINAL RECKONING! Tag to Sammy and he goes up for the SWANTON BOMB! Cover, Sons of Texas win!

Winners: Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara, by pinfall (deny The Frat House a title opportunity)

Uno & Reynolds shrug, but they got their payback all the same. Dustin & Sammy hold up the belts and they point to the All In sign in the rafters. Will the Sons of Texas get to go All In in Texas?

The Premier Athletes w/ Mark Sterling VS The Outrunners!

Speaking of last week, Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari are feeling good after they won, but it was largely in part thanks to The Dark Order. “Smart” Mark has the mic to stop Bobby Cruise, he takes care of this. Everyone knows Daivari & Nese, “and folks, statistically, Milwaukee is actually the capital of deadbeat dads. But that’s okay, because we hate your kids, too. But tonight, they can for the first time ever, be part of a real winning family. And you can be part of our team. So when I say ‘Athletes,’ you say, ‘Rule.’ NOTHING ELSE. Hands in, boys. Ohhhh…! ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Milwaukee gets the better of Sterling, this is quite the losing streak.

But then Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd make their entrance, and the fans here in The Good Land fire up! Will The Youngest Men Alive keep their ROH win streak alive? Or will Nese & Daivari find a way to go back to back for once?

The teams sort out, Truth and Daivari start, and the Code of Honor is barely upheld. The bell rings, the two circle, and the fans rally up. The two tie up, Truth headlocks, but Daivari powers up and out. Truth RAMS shoulders with Daivari, but neither man falls. Daivari dares Truth to try that again, so Truth runs and he RAMS Daivari again! Daivari flexes, Truth runs, but Daivari drops down. Truth ducks ‘n’ hurdles, then he CLOBBERS Daivari! The fans fire up while Truth flexes. Daivari frowns but Turbo tags in. Turbo and Daivari circle while the fans rally up. Daivari wants the Test of Strength, and Turbo obliges, but then Daivari kicks low!

Daivari bumps Turbo off buckles, tags in Nese, and the Premier Athletes mug Turbo! The ref counts, Nese & Daivari let off, and they shout, “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” They never learn… Daivari & Nese double whip, Turbo ducks ‘n’ dodges, Truth tags in before Turbo DOUBLE LARIATS! The fans fire up again and The Outrunners have Nese in a corner. Truth fires hands, then he whips Turbo in for an ELBOW! Truth SPLASHES Daivari, then feeds Daivari to Turbo’s BULLDOG LARIAT COMBO! The fans fire up, Truth DROPKICKS Nese and Turbo DROPKICKS Daivari! Sterling grabs a mic to shout at The Outrunners!

Sterling claims that in Milwaukee, it is illegal to hit dropkicks, “especially when you’re as ugly as you, pal!” The fans boo, but Truth storms out after Sterling! Sterling runs away, but ends up in the ring! Nese uses that to DROPKICK Truth! Nese tags Daivari, they mug Truth, but the ref reprimands. Nese ROCKS Truth again and again, then Daivari shoves Truth down. Daivari soaks up the heat, then hits a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Daivari brings Truth around to TOSS him out, then he argues with the ref. This lets Sterling and Nese get stomps in on Truth! The fans boo, Daivari goes out to fetch Truth, and whips him into railing!

The fans boo but Daivari puts Truth back in the ring. Tag to Nese, Daivari stomps Truth down, and Nese stays between The Outrunners. The fans chant “Athletes Suck!” but Nese UPPERCUTS Truth! Truth goes to ropes and Nese flexes. Nese brings Truth around to scoop and SLAM! Nese then says he’ll show us who sucks! Nese runs up, but Truth avoids the leg drop! The fans boo but Daivari drags Truth back to stomp away! The ref reprimands but Nese tags in.

The fans rally for Truth but Nese holds him up. Daivari runs, but Truth gets free! Daivari CLOBBERS Nese! Hot tag to Turbo! Turbo fires off haymakers on Daivari! He DECKS Daivari, scoops and SLAMS Nese, then he scoops and SLAMS Daivari! Truth then scoops and SLAMS Nese onto Daivari! Turbo shouts at Daivari to get up, and he reels him in! The fans fire up as Turbo scoops and SNOW PLOWS Daivari! Cover, Nese breaks it! Truth DECKS Nese, throws down fists, and then the Outrunners focus on Daivari! But Sterling is on the apron! Truth scares Sterling off, but Nese CLOBBERS Truth! Daivari slips free of Turbo!

Nese mule kicks Turbo, knee lifts, then SUPERKICKS! Turbo is down, Daivari is up! CARPET RIDE!! Cover, TWO!! Turbo survives and the fans fire up! Nese drags Turbo up, Daivari joins in, but Truth saves Turbo from the double suplex! The Outrunners fire haymakers on The Athletes, then double whip. And DOUBLE BACK ELBOW! Daivari is down, The Outrunners wind up, and “Turbo Floyd! You sonova b*tch!” They shake hands, and DOUBLE ELBOW DROP! The fans fire up again as Turbo scoops Daivari! Truth runs in, but Nese saves Daivari now! Nese ROCKS Truth, shoves Turbo into a THROAT CHOP!

Nese PLANCHAS Truth, and then Daivari puts Turbo on the apron! Turbo RAMS into Daivari, slingshots up and over, but Daivari stays up! He sits on the sunset flip, but he holds the ropes! TWO!! Turbo is free, and he LARIATS Daivari! Nese is back, Turbo LARIATS him! Turbo flexes and the fans are loving it! But Nese distracts the ref and Sterling CLUBS Turbo from behind! Turbo just frowns and Sterling is upset. The fans tell Sterling he messed up! Turbo grabs Sterling by the tie, then winds up… to DECK Sterling! Sterling flounders, Turbo scoops Daivari! Truth runs up, TOTAL RECALL! Cover, Outrunners win!

Winners: The Outrunners, by pinfall

That’s 4-0 for Truth & Turbo, and it’s back to zero days since The Premier Athletes last lost! Will the Outrunners be in the running for an ROH World Tag Team Championship opportunity?

The Dark Order VS The Infantry!

We already saw Evil Uno & Alex Reynolds get even with The Frat House earlier tonight, and now it’s time for them to rebound from that loss. Will The Dark Order finally return to their former glory? Or will Captain Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo simply put them outta their misery with Two 2 Da Head?

The Code of Honor is barely upheld, and then Reynolds starts against “Bad News & Tattoos” Bravo. The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two circle. They tie up, then break. Bravo talks some smack as he and Reynolds circle again. They tie up, break again, and then Bravo pie faces Reynolds! Reynolds gives the pie face back! Bravo knees low, CLUBS Reynolds, then ROCKS him! Reynolds leans on ropes while Bravo talks smack on “pretty boy” Reynolds! Bravo whips, Reynolds reverses, but Bravo KICKS the backdrop away! Bravo says he’s too smart, but Reynolds LARIATS him down! Reynolds drags Bravo up, whips, but Bravo reverses.

Dean flounders, Uno & Reynolds DOUBLE BASEMENT DROPKICK! Milwaukee cheers and Uno takes a bow.

The fans boo but Bravo drags Reynolds back into the ring.

Bravo keeps Reynolds from Uno, covers, TWO! Bravo drags Reynolds up, HEADBUTTS him, and then stalks him to the corner. Bravo RAMS into Reynolds, then The Infantry mugs Reynolds! The ref counts, the Infantry lets off, and Bravo tags in Dean. Dean sends Bravo in and he ROCKS Reynolds! Then “Psyche!” Bravo is sent back in for another forearm! Dean then ELBOWS Reynolds, and winds up to LARIAT! Cover, Uno CLAWS Dean’s back! The ref reprimands, Dean drags Reynolds over and stomps him. The fans rally, Dean ROCKS Reynolds, but Reynolds hits back! Dean knees low, fires fast hands, then has Reynolds down again.

Dean drags Reynolds up, clamps on a chinbar and half nelson, but Reynolds endures. The fans rally, Reynolds fights up, but Dean leans on him! Reynolds still fights, but Dean throws him to the corner. Tag to Bravo and Dean sends him in, but Reynolds ELBOWS him away! Dean runs up but Reynolds BOOTS him! Bravo returns, Reynolds goes up and over! Reynolds then dodges Dean and hot tags Uno! Dean runs up, into Reynolds’ BOOT! Reynolds tags in, DUMPS Bravo out, then goes up and over Dean to roll him up! Uno wheelbarrows Dean to GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up but Bravo slips in. And wait! Here comes The Frat House! Uno lifts Bravo into a Gory Especial, and Reynolds runs up, GORY BOMB CODE BREAKER COMBO!! But Vance leads the charge to the apron! The ref stops them, but Reynolds tells them all to back off.

But then Bravo LOW BLOWS Uno! Dean BLASTS Reynolds, and Uno gets TWO 2 DA HEAD!! Cover, Infantry wins!

Winners: The Infantry, by pinfall

The Infantry took advantage of the distraction, but The Frat House screws over Uno & Reynolds again. Reynolds warns them that this isn’t over. But how can The Dark Order fight against The Frat when they don’t have the Numbers?

ROH Pure Championship: Lee Moriarty VS AR Fox!

While Shane Taylor Promotions is working on taking over all of ROH, the Pure Division has belonged to Lee Moriarty for months now. Will #TAIGASTYLE continue to be the best young technical wrestler in the world today? Or will this soon be the Whole Fox’n Show?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is the most Pure!

The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, and we’re on the clock. The fans rally as Fox and Lee circle. They feel things out, knuckle lock, and Lee kicks one to wrench and wristlock. Lee wrangles Fox, Fox rolls, rolls, and wrenches back. Lee spins, slips through, and he trips Fox! The fans are torn, but Fox kicks Lee away! Lee comes back, rolling cradle into an ARMBAR! Fox reaches out for the ROPEBREAK! Lee lets go and reminds Fox that he just used his first of three. The two tie up, Lee headlocks, but Fox powers up and out. Lee RAMS Fox, Fox rebounds to RAM Lee! Lee BOOTS Fox down, and Lee soaks up the cheers and jeers.

Lee stands Fox up, whips him to a corner, but Fox goes up. Lee stops Fox from going over, but Fox mule kicks, then springboard STUNNERS! Lee staggers away to another corner and Fox runs up. Fox blocks boots, puts Lee in the ropes, and CLUBS him! Fox then goes up and out, slingshots back in, ARABIAN LEG SWEEP! Cover, TWO! Lee survives but Fox drags him up. Lee wrenches out but Fox BOOTS him first! Fox tilt-o-whirls, rolls and has the CROSSFACE! Lee scrambles back to the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer and the ref counts, Fox lets go at 4. Lee used his first and Fox is after Lee again.

Lee swings, Fox blocks and DECKS Lee! But the ref warns Fox, that was a closed fist. Fox has his first warning, and Fox has to remember that’s how Pure Rules go. Lee staggers up, Fox whips, but Lee reverses and reels Fox in for a STOMP! The fans rally, Lee storms up on Fox to stand him up for KNEE after KNEE! Lee then hammerlocks an arm and RAMS Fox into the corner! Lee fires fast palm strikes and a JUMP KNEE! The fans cheer while Fox sputters. Lee brings Fox up, hammerlocks and scoops, to then SLAM Fox on his own arm! Cover, ONE, but Lee clamps onto Fox with a KIMURA! Fox fights around to the ROPEBREAK!

Lee lets go and Fox has used his second. Lee smiles as he has Fox where he wants him at just four minutes in. Lee wrenches the arm, ELBOW BREAKERS, then hammerlocks and RAMS Fox into the buckles! The fans rally, even chanting “Ropebreak! Ropebreak!” Lee hammerlocks Fox again, and RAMS him back into buckles! Lee hammerlocks then RAMS- NO, Fox stops himself, and ELBOWS in return! Lee runs up, Fox DUMPS Lee to the apron and sweeps the legs! Fox then builds speed to front flip DOUBLE STOMP on the apron! That’s one way to use the ropes! Then Fox WRECKS Lee with a dropkick, builds more speed, and he FLIES!

The fans fire up as Fox takes Lee down! Fox high-fives the front row, then he puts Lee back in the ring. Fox goes up the ropes, and aims for the SWANTON BOMB! Cover, TWO! Lee survives but the fans rally behind Fox now! Fox hauls Lee up, but Lee wrenches the bad arm, drops back and TWEAKS the arm! Fox hobbles, Lee front straitjacket for THE FANG! And then BORDER CITY STRETCH!! Fox endures, fights around, reaches out, ROPEBREAK!! The fans cheer, and that is Fox’s final ropebreak! Lee nods, he’s moved Fox into check on this chessboard. Lee stalks Fox, the fans chant, “No More Ropebreaks!” “Ropebreaks Suck!”

Lee drags Fox up, but Fox suplexes first! ANARCHY! Both men are down and Lee goes to a corner. The fans rally, we hit seven minutes, and Fox runs in! Fox blocks Lee’s boots, puts him in ropes again, and CLUBS him! Lee goes out, slingshots in, DRAPING DESTROYER!! Cover, ROPEBREAK!! Lee survives and Fox can’t believe it! Lee has used his second, but Fox shrugs that off. Fox goes to the corner, Lee grabs at a foot, but Fox kicks him down. Fox goes up the corner, takes aim, and 450- NO, Lee moves! Fox rolls through, but Lee victory rolls him! TWO!! Fox escapes and mule kicks. Lee drops to his knee, but he ducks the buzzsaw and the heel kick! But not the BASEMENT CUTTER!

The fans fire up as Fox runs in at the corner. Fox blocks another boot, but not the ENZIGIRI! “This is Awesome!” as Lee hops up. But Fox goes up after him! Lee stops the Arabian Press and throws elbows! Lee has Fox in the ropes for a SLEEPER!! Fox can’t be saved now, he has to TAP! Lee wins!

Winner: Lee Moriarty, by submission (still ROH Pure Division)

Fox couldn’t help but fall for the trap! Lee continues to be an evil genius, will he continue to paint technical masterpieces until he’s the greatest ROH Pure Champion of all time?

My Thoughts:

A very good ROH that clocked in at just under an hour, and with that there was less filler. Gates of Agony still got a great match out of Deonn Rusman & Cal Bloom (Cal formerly known as Von Wagner), which was also surprising but also great because the GOA get to not just do squash matches. They’re showing their skills by having these longer matches, but I feel like they should be doing that with established teams as well. Like, I appreciate the Outrunners got a win, but if Premier Athletes were going to lose again, feed them to Kaun & Liona so Kaun & Liona can move up the tag ranks.

Very good tag match from Sons of Texas VS Frat House, and very good match of Dark Order VS Infantry. I like that we’re building the feud of Frat House VS Dark Order where they’re costing each other their matches. I can only hope John Silver returns soon, and maybe even brings someone else with him so that we get a proper 4v4 before the end of this. One option would be Stu Grayson having one more match, another would be if they could get Alan Angels, and thirdly is of course recruiting someone brand new.

And very good Pure Championship match, but of course Lee Moriarty won again. It’s always an interesting move when they bring someone who hasn’t had a Pure Rules match into the Pure Rules title scene, but also surprising that Fox held his own for as long as he did. Supercard of Honor is May, who knows if they build someone up for Lee by then, and even then, no idea if they’d win. Honestly, a lot of TK’s energy seems to be focused on pretty much anything other than titles like the ROH Pure Championship. I’m not sure where Red Velvet went, either, she should be building towards a feud for the ROH Women’s World TV title. Problem is, they let Leyla Hirsch go so there goes that feud… But TK’s booking problems is a subject we could go on and on about in other articles.

My Score: 8.7/10
