WWE NXT marches towards Takeover XXX and Bradley Jay chimes in with his six-sided look at this week’s build in his latest NXT Minus 6!

6. Short & Sweet. To the point. Nobody predictably got put through a table. That is how you do a contract signing. That’s what I would have been saying…until Keith Lee took a fireball to the face. Absolute dookie juice. How bad was it? The look on Karrion Kross’ face said it all. Even he knew it was garbage. Are we supposed to believe he and Scarlett are now sorcerers? I’ll blame the intern because I refuse to believe anyone got paid to write that shit.

5. You have Keith Lee and Karrion Kross, two big personalities and a compelling story. That is all you need! Adding fire to the mix is like putting grape jelly on a 24-ounce, medium rare, porterhouse steak. It makes no sense AND it detracts from the story they have been building for weeks. Now, instead of a potential 5-star MOTY, we’ll get Mauro Ranallo screaming for 20 minutes about Lee’s burned face. Triple shitty.

4. If Mercedes Martinez is going to look like someone from Mortal Kombat, her finisher needs to be called FATALITY! 

3. The Wednesday Knight. That is solid gold dipped in gold. If Johnny Gargano doesn’t come to the ring wearing armor & riding a horse, then they will have wasted a gem of a character. The Wednesday Knight. How has someone not thought of that sooner? And are you loving my crazy mad Pixlr skills?!?!

2. Damian Priest and Bronson Reed continue to impress. I loved their match. It’s so easy. Good things happen when you let wrestlers wrestle. I love watching these guys break out and improve every week. 4.4 stars. However, Reed is in desperate need of a manager. The man from the land down under needs that little extra something to help him get over. Someone with a gift for spitting out crazy verbiage like Rawdown dookie juice. Reed, call me. I’m down with the Thickness.  

1. If you start a show with some crap ass fireball angle, you better end with an absolute in-ring banger. Luckily, that is exactly what we got. KUSHIDA versus Cameron Grimes versus Velveteen Dream was another great match in what has been an amazing triple threat tournament. 4.5 stars. Even with the loss, I am still so happy when KUSHIDA is on my screen. All the excitement I had for Lee-Kross has now shifted entirely to the North American Title Ladder Match at Takeover 30.
