The odds of your new dream match happening is slim, but don’t let that stop you from dreaming. 

6. There must be at least 12 different ways to attack a man with a ladder on his head, and Pollo Grande Loco couldn’t think of 1 of them!!! Public Service Announcement: If you are ever in a wrestling ring with a guy spinning in circles with a ladder on his head, duck and aim for his knees.

5. The best part about the 6 man tag match with Swerve-Ango and Pollo Grande Loco was how they saved two gigantic spots for the commercial break. Seriously, the highlight of the match was Swerve Scott’s homage to Eddie Van Halen. Love those pants. Put them in the Shopzone and I might buy a pair.

4. Candice Lerae’s finisher is all kinds of bad ass. Her version of the curb stomp is so good, it actually makes up for her horrible hair. She’s getting rough and tough with her Pixie Puffs. She should call her finisher Pixie Dust, because she stomps her opponent’s face to dust…and she’s a pixie. 

3. This is 100% high praise, no joke. Timothy Thatcher is the most NXT wrestler ever. It’s easy to see how pretty much anybody else on the roster could find a place on RawDown. Not Thatcher. He is gritty, real and has as much flash as Grampa’s underwear. He is the anti-RawDown. This match…right here…is your new dream match. Tell me you would not pay actual real dollars to watch Thatcher versus Cesaro in the NXT Fight Pit.

2. The beauty of multi person matches is that it lends itself to all kinds of interesting combinations. We had four of the best in NXT history in the ring together for 60 minutes, and I can only recall 2 remotely interesting multi-man spots: Ciampa hits the double Willow’s Bell and Ciampa and Finn Balor hit the combination powerbomb/superplex on Adam Cole. They had amazing ingredients and they gave us watery tuna salad. I think I’m generous giving the match 3 stars.   

1. This week’s That’s Why I Love Wrestling goes to…smart booking. Bronson Reed & Thatcher are having a nice little match, when BAM! Here comes Austin Theory. He hits a quick, effective sneak attack that eventually, but not instantly, led to Reed losing the match. It made sense, wasn’t too much AND was well executed. That is how you book shenanigans.
