Matt lets go, Fenix gets to a corner, and Matt stomps and clubs Fenix down. Matt brings Fenix around for haymakers, then runs in, but Fenix SUPERKICKS!

Fenix hits DEADLY NIGHTSHADE, then puts Matt in for the JUMPING SOBAT! Fenix goes up and up and missile dropkicks Matt back down! Fans fire up as Fenix drags Matt up, fireman’s carries, but Fenix’s back gives up! Fenix throws hands even from the mat, but Matt CLUBS him in the back. Matt runs, into a SOMERSAULT CUTTER! Fans rally, the ref has a standing count, but Matt and Fenix get up at 5. Fenix throws hands, Matt returns them, and the fans rally as they brawl. Both men ROCK the other, but Fenix tilt-o-whirls to then get Matt in a standing Bow ‘n’ Arrow, spins Matt around to a FACEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Matt survives and Fenix is sore!

Matt goes to the ramp side but Fenix hits him first. Fenix climbs the ropes but Matt throws body shots then suplexes. Fenix fights free, dodges a boot and CHOPS Matt! Fenix goes to the corner, walks the tightrope but Matt dodges! Matt shoulders in, slingshots up and over and hits a DESTROYER!! Fenix bails out but Matt goes out for a DESTROYER to the floor!! Matt leaves Fenix behind and a ring count begins! Pac shouts at Fenix and coaches him, but the count is already 5 and Fenix hasn’t gotten up. The count is 8, Fenix springs right up! Fenix is in at 9.9! Matt goes up, Fenix is in the drop zone, MACHO ELBOW!! Cover, TWO!! And Matt can’t believe it!

Fenix flails, reaches, powers up again, Matt drops and Fenix gets the ropebreak! Matt drags Fenix away, tries again but Fenix kicks Matt down. Fenix runs in, Matt moves, Nick gets WRECKED with the dropkick! Matt runs at Fenix, dodges him, and SUPERKICKS Pac for getting too close! Fenix says this is between him and Matt, so Matt gets in and they throw haymakers! Matt dodges to shove but Fenix elbows then QUEBRADAS! Matt gets under but Fenix waistlocks to GERMAN SUPLEX! Matt lands on his feet to SUPERKICK!

Matt whips, Fenix goes Spiderman but Matt ducks the heel kick to SUPERKICK! Fenix kips up to SUPERKICK back!! Both men are down but fans again chant, “This is Awesome!” Fenix and Matt slowly sit up and get forehead to forehead. They throw haymakers, Fenix CHOPS, but Matt CHOPS back! They throw more hands, they DORCK each other, Matt blocks the roundhouse to spin Fenix but SUPERKICKS COLLIDE! They ROCK each other, but then Matt gut wrenches Fenix! Fenix fights free to scoop Matt, FIRE THUNDER DRIVER!! Cover, Fenix wins!!!

Winner: Rey Fenix, by pinfall

And that’s a win over one-half of the tag team champions! Will Death Triangle soon take those titles for their own? Or will things be different when the Bucks are together for a Superkick Party?

Jon Moxley and Eddie Kingston speak!

The Mad King is first, saying, “Well folks, here it is. The big explanation everyone wants to know about. It’s a little embarrassing, but y’know, I’m me.” When Kingston hurried out at Revolution to cover up his friend, Moxley, thinking there was going to be this huge explosion, all these fireworks, he got a flashback to the last time he had that anxiety. The last time he had this kind of panic, he couldn’t breathe. That’s when Kingston was in a jail cell, getting ready for court, with the guards telling him he was going to Rikers, “Sing Sing,” and everything went black. So go ahead, make fun of him. He’s not speaking for you or to you, but to those who understand where he’s coming from.

So Kingston tells Kenny Omega, “Kenny! You think this is a video game? Look at the heat!” Kingston puts his hand over the little fire he and Moxley have going, and Kingston says that is what he felt! Look at his hand! He didn’t scar them up playing video games! Omega thinks he’s the Joker or something? You think this is funny? Moxley says Omega wasn’t joking. He really wanted to blow everyone up. Kingston says there’s no way. Omega’s the Joker to Moxley’s Batman. Moxley thinks that’s cool, but he’s pretty sure Omega was really trying. Kingston says Omega isn’t that nuts.

Moxley doesn’t know who paid for the bomb. Kingston says Impact probably paid for it, and Moxley can see that. But when that bomb came in the mail, did it have the big bold letters of ACME on it? Moxley’s made more explosive volcanos in fourth grade science class. “What the hell was that?” But Mox had an Explosive Barbed Wire Deathmatch live on PPV, and all he got was a lousy T-shirt. Okay, it’s a cool T-shirt, but Moxley didn’t win the title back. Omega was the better man at Revolution. But Moxley did get his drinking buddy back. Moxley knew that wasn’t Kingston that one time. Well the world title makes you do crazy things.

Moxley says Kingston could’ve come out a little earlier, when he was getting the crap kicked out of him and all that. Moxley jokes that Kingston had to get his eyebrows done and his good shoes on. Kingston had Butcher and Blade. “You already know my style, B! It’s 1998 forever in my head.” Well it’s good that they didn’t get blown up at Revolution. But Moxley kinda wanted to see a bomb go off. A lot of people did. But Moxley tells Kenny and the Good Brothers, if they’re going to flash a weapon, they better use it. Does this mean Moxley and Kingston are going to make sure the Biz Cliz pays for even thinking they could end the Maniac’s run?

Cody Rhodes w/ Arn Anderson VS Seth Gargis!

The American Nightmare managed to fight through a bad shoulder to make it to the end of the Face of the Revolution ladder match, but he still didn’t win it. Will he be able to power through and start back on the path towards the TNT Championship?

The bell rings, Cody and Gargis circle and tie up. Cody wrenches to a wristlock but Gargis reverses, only for Cody to DECK him! Cody scoops Gargis and carries him around to hit an OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE! Fans fire up as Cody gets the legs, steps through, and gets the FIGURE FOUR! Gargis endures, claws at the hold but he’s caught, he taps out! Cody wins!

Winner: Cody Rhodes, by submission

The Prince of Pro-Wrestling wasn’t playing around, he got that done fast! Tony Schiavone goes to the ring and Arn tells him he’s on the clock. Schiavone’s mic takes a second to get working so Cody tosses him a good one. Schiavone asks about the shoulder, how Shaq threw him around and all that, but how is Cody feeling? Well Cody will talk about it, and losing the ladder match, and- Wait, Penta is interrupting from Spanish Commentary! Penta has Alex stand up to help translate. Penta tells Cody to SHUT UP, then tells Alex to tell us that when it comes to Cody, “He’s a thousand times better than you!” And then, if Cody is the Prince of Pro-Wrestling, that makes Penta the LORD OF LUCHA!

Penta heads for the ring with Alex and fans chant “Lord of Lucha Libre!” Penta then speaks English to the American Nightmare to say, “You serious? At Revolution, you lost!” And had it just been Cody and Penta and a ring, Cody would have lost even more than the match! And you know why? Well Alex translates that Cody is lucky Penta didn’t focus on hurting that arm even more, because it would’ve been so bad, Cody couldn’t even be able to pick up his newborn baby girl! WHOA~! Cody runs at Penta and they brawl!! Security and other wrestlers hurry to break this one up but way more need to hold Cody back than Penta!

Cody is furious, but for now, Penta gets away with insulting the Rhodes family. Will Cody make Penta put his money where his mouth is and get in the ring with him 1v1?

Chuck Taylor and Orange Cassidy are at the arcade.

But they’re not here to play games. Chuck speaks to Miro and Kip Sabian as he says, “Boys. We’ve been at this a long time. Too damn long.” Kip, Miro and Penelope first break Trent and put him on the shelf. They make Chuck their butler, put him through a window, and then they tried to take out Cassidy here. Wait, Cassidy, you didn’t even put coins in the machine? Well anyway, Chuck and Cassidy want one more match. If Miro does that, Chuck will give Miro what he wants. Chuck will be Miro’s butler forever if he loses.

But Cassidy had a brilliant idea earlier. What if they take all these arcade games that Miro loves so much, put them ringside, then put Miro’s head through every single one? Cassidy takes off the sunglasses as he says, “And then we break you.” An arcade cabinet tag match?! Will that be the key to ending this back and forth with the Best Man? Or will it just be #GAMEOVER for the Best Friends?

AEW returns with Tony Schiavone on stage.

And ladies and gentlemen, it’s STIIIIIING~! The Icon won the Street Fight at Revolution alongside Darby Allin, and what a comeback to action! Sting says Darby is “a dangerous, dangerous man.” Darby puts his life on the line every single night, takes risks, and that isn’t even everything. It isn’t even a calculated risk, and that is why Darby is dangerous. Then combine that with the Stinger and a “menacing” location like the streets, and BOOM! The Stinger and Darby get a win!

But then wait! Lance Archer and Jake the Snake are making their way out! “If you’re not going to give us time, then we are going to take the time.” And since Sting is wasting time, now is the time for Archer to let us know he never needed a ladder match to prove he IS the Face of the Revolution! If things don’t change, Archer is going to take much, much more than just time. Schiavone understands that but this was Sting’s time. Oh sorry, is that how this is going to go. Well, then bye Stanger. You’ll have your time, for now. Just remember that. With that, Archer and Jake take their leave.

Schiavone apologizes on Archer’s behalf, and Stinger says that’s fine, see you in the next one. Will the Murderhawk Monster make sure the Icon understands how dangerous this jungle can be?

Backstage interview with Lee Johnson and QT Marshall.

Dasha asks QT for some insight on what happened in the tag team battle royal, when he just left Dustin Rhodes during the middle of all that. QT says he’s only human, his emotions got the better of him, but the Nightmare Family will deal with it. Right now is about Big Shotty Lee Johnson, and the huge match he has with Ethan Page. Ethan has a lot to prove, but so does Johnson, and he wants to pick up another win. AEW has technical difficulties but that’s because All Ego is already headed to the ring!

Ethan Page VS Lee Johnson w/ QT Marshall!

The newest signee to AEW made a huge debut at Revolution, and after losing, he DEMANDED a huge singles match for Dynamite. But Ethan is upset that QT is accompanying Johnson and “occupying 33.3% of MY spotlight!” But will this angry, agitated and annoyed Ethan Page make Johnson pay for this?

The bell rings and Johnson circles with Ethan. Ethan kicks low, ROCKS Johnson, then has him in a corner to whip corner to corner. Ethan goes up and over, handsprings then dodges to shove Ethan to ropes. Ethan dodges but Johnson dropkicks him down! Johnson drags Ethan up, wrenches, but Ethan puts him on the ropes. The ref calls for a break and gets between them, but Ethan gets a HARD sucker punch in! Ethan has Johnson in a corner, stomps him and brings him out to suplex. Johnson slips out, waistlocks, but Ethan fights that and elbows free to CLOBBER Johnson! Ethan paces and Johnson goes to a corner, Ethan runs in but Johnson elbows him away!

Johnson BOOTS Ethan, swings, but into Ethan’s waistlock. Ethan puts Johnson in a corner, throws elbows, then snapmares him for a BIG shoulder tackle! Ethan soaks up the heat as Johnson is down, and AEW goes picture in picture.

Johnson goes to the apron, Ethan goes out after him, and brings Johnson up for a fireman’s carry. Johnson fights free with elbows and is back in he ring to ENZIGURI Ethan down! Johnson then PLANCHAS and takes Ethan down! Johnson fires up and fans rally as he brings Ethan up. Ethan RAMS Johnson into railing, then underhooks to get Johnson up on the railing, for a DRAPING BUTTERFLY BACKBREAKER! Johnson writhes and the ref checks on him with Ethan seethes and snarls. Ethan drags Johnson up, puts him in the ring, and stomps him down. QT coaches Johnson but Ethan drags him up to DECK him!

Johnson goes to another corner, Ethan brings him up and scoops him for a SPINNING BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!! Johnson survives that and pie faces Ethan! Ethan gets mad but Johnson throws hands! Ethan kicks low, whips Johnson to ropes and CLOBBERS him with an elbow! Johnson flounders to a corner, Ethan storms over and CLUBS him down. Ethan digs his knee into Johnson’s back then wraps on a rear bearhug. Johnson endures, QT coaches him, and Johnson fights up to throw elbows. Ethan CLUBS Johnson, CLUBS him again, then wraps on the bearhug as AEW goes to single picture.

Fans rally again, Ethan drags Johnson up, but Johnson throws elbows and gets free to throw forearms. Ethan knees low, swings but Johnson counter punches to ROCK Ethan! Ethan ducks the swing to back suplex Johnson but Johnson lands on is feet! Johnson blocks a punch, elbows Ethan and hits a neckbreaker! Fans fire up as Johnson stalks Ethan, waistlocks, but Ethan elbows the back suplex away. Ethan goes to run but Johnson reels him in for BLUE THUNDER BOMB!! Cover, TWO!?! Johnson usually ends matches with that but Ethan survives! Fans rally, Johnson throws his wrist tape away and goes at Ethan in a corner.

Ethan hits Johnson away, climbs up, but Johnson hits him! Johnson climbs up to throw forearms, then brings Ethan up. Ethan throws body shots, scoops Johnson and SUPER SLAMS him! Ethan then hops down, steps in and hits a SPRINGBOARD CUTTER!! Cover, TWO!?! Johnson survives but Ethan keeps on Johnson in a corner. Ethan hoists Johnson up top, climbs up to join him, but Johnson hits him away. Johnson leaps over but jams a leg! Ethan wants after him but the ref keeps him back. Ethan shrugs and BOOTS Johnson down! Fans boo but Ethan ignores them as Johnson bails out. Johnson wants a hand from QT but QT just stands there as Ethan goes out to fetch Johnson.

Ethan drags Johnson up, puts him in, and stalk Johnson to bring him up to a Canadian rack. Ethan sets Johnson up for SPLASH MOUNTAIN! Cover, Ethan wins!

Winner: Ethan Page, by pinfall

The #EgosEdge is what wins Ethan’s first singles match, but he adds on by stomping away on Johnson! QT still doesn’t even do anything!? Dustin Rhodes runs out to run Ethan off, but again Dustin has to question what the hell is going on with QT! QT is just walking away! Is QT quitting the Nightmare Family without an explanation?

AEW Media catches up with Hangman Page.

Alex Marvez is curious as to how Hangman is spending the money he earned from the Big Money Match, and we see him zip in on a Snapper Pro riding mower! Is this one of the purchases made using Matt Hardy’s first quarter earnings? Hangman says he got six bottles of whiskey, a brand new saddle, and the entire Dwight Yoakam vinyl collection, and even donated most of it to the Jacksonville Education Fund. But yeah, this riding mower is one of the purchases. Time to cut some grass!

John Silver comes by and asks if Hangman has room for more people on the mower. Sure, why not! But wait, the rest of the Dark Order gets on! Uno, Stu, Reynolds, Cabana and Vance get on with Silver, but Angels is left off. There’s a weight limit and Angels was too slow. Now let’s get ice cream! YEEEAH~! Hangman puts pedal to the metal, and Angels says he’ll see them there. Will the Cowboy and his posse party hardy with Matt Hardy’s money?

AEW returns and Schiavone is back on stage.

Of all the things that happened this Sunday at Revolution was the arrival of this next guest, a great tag team champion in his career, and a great singles champion, too. This man officially signed with AEW this Sunday, and now we get to hear from CHRISTIAN CAGE! But wait, no, these are the Sweepettes. This isn’t for Christian, this is for KENNY OMEGA!! The man who is still AEW World Champion rolls in with the men who helped him win! Don Callis, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson follow Omega to the ring, and Callis has the mic to interview him.

Fans boo but Callis says, “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m sorry but I guess you’re not going to get to hear from the brand new signee of AEW, because in case you’re new around here, new signee, Kenny Omega, Don Callis & the Good Brothers, we call the shots around here. We take what we want, and then we take a little more, so we’re taking this time for ourselves.” And as Callis stands here next to “the greatest wrestler who ever lived, the God of Professional Wrestling,” and the KING OF THE DEATHMATCH! Callis tells Omega that on Sunday, at Revolution, “it all went according to plan.” Well, almost. Oh yes, that. The explosion not heard around the world.

Callis finds it interesting. They’ve taken a lot of heat since then, being blamed for us not getting what we wanted. Well, Callis will neither confirm nor deny if they had something to do with that. But what Callis will confirm is how happy it made Callis to take away what fans wanted! To take away things! Tony Khan wants AEW to make memories, Callis and Omega make HISTORY, and that is what they did when Omega beat Moxley! That is what they do! But they took away Moxley’s big moment when he wanted to die in a blaze of glory! They took away Eddie Kingston’s star-making, heroic moment!

Callis says he learned about win-win situations. If the ring had blown up, Team Omega wins. Moxley and Kingston would be gone, and Omega would be champion. But if the ring somehow didn’t blow up, which it didn’t, then that’s a bigger win because Mox & Kingston look like idiots and Team Omega still has the world title! So they do what they do all the time: WIN! Omega says he’s got goosebumps just thinking about what it would’ve looked like to see Moxley vaporized in the middle of the ring! That would’ve been a dream come true to never worry about Moxley. But now it’s just as sweet to have the eternal memory of seeing Moxley embarrassed in the ring, leaving him a loser.

And what a cherry on top for Kingston, the thing they never even factored in, never expected, for their childhood friendship to be what rescued and “dry humped” Moxley in the middle of the ring as sparklers shot off! But talk about memories- Kingston storms out to the ring! He sees it’s 3v1 since Callis doesn’t count, but Callis says this is alright. Callis knows Kingston and Kingston knows he knows Callis. So Callis says he had Kingston in Impact because he is talented, tough, and the star in that face of his. Kingston had it all, but why did Callis fire him? And that is what happened.

It’s because Kingston did there that he’s done his whole life: When Kingston is this close to success and the “brass ring,” he self-sabotages! Just like at Revolution when he laid there and everyone laughed! That was Kingston’s moment, and they took it away! Fans rally for Kingston but Callis says he’s outgunned. But because Callis likes Kingston, he gives Kingston a chance to get out of here with what’s left of his pride intact. Kingston will have 10 seconds before he gets his ass kicked. So here it is! The countdown, just like Revolution! OH NO~! Someone save Omega~! Kingston falls on Omega and then… Nothing.

Omega sits up and mocks Kingston’s anxiety. Did we blow up? Nope! Omega almost passed out as he flashbacked to detention! But Kingston is in the ring with the best champion ever, looking like a joke, standing with four guys who could whoop his ass. Omega counts Callis, apparently. But Kingston is stone-faced. Does he want to hit Omega? Huh? Wanna hit the champ? Well here’s his big shot! Take a swing and see what happens! You don’t have the balls, Kingston! But Kingston DECKS Omega! The Good Brothers are right on Kingston with haymakers, but Moxley gets in! Omega is out cold, Moxley and Kingston fight off Gallows & Anderson!

Things spill out of the ring, Moxley throws Anderson into barriers, and here comes… CHRISTIAN CAGE! The brawling continues as Captain Charisma finally gets his time on Dynamite! Christian looks around at the Peeps, but focuses in on the Cleaner who is coming to. Christian goes to the ring, Omega gets up, and the two stare down. Omega talks trash, saying Christian is in his ring now. But then Omega offers a handshake? Christian hesitates, fans aren’t sure about it, but Omega takes a swing! Christian catches him and turns him, but Callis gets Omega out of the Killswitch!

Callis holds Omega back, but Christian holds up the AEW World Championship! Is Christian going to add this title to his already historic list of accolades?

Six Woman Tag: Hikaru Shida, Thunder Rosa & Ryo Mizunami VS Maki Itoh, Britt Baker & Nyla Rose!

The Full Metal Warrior is still AEW Women’s World Champion, and finally has a win against her rival, Aneki! But they weren’t able to soak in the moment at Revolution because of the Native Beast, the Doctor and the Fired Idol! Will Shida, Rosa and Ryo make these Vicious Vixens, the Role Model and the Cutest in the World regret ruining the moment?

Wait, as Itoh is performing her theme song, Rosa, Ryo and Shida rush Nyla and Britt! They all brawl, Itoh just tunes it out, and Shida clashes with Rebel, kendo stick VS crutch! Britt brawls with Rosa but runs away, and Nyla ROCKS Ryo. Vickie helps Rebel by kicking Shida in the leg! The ref tries to sort things out but Itoh is still performing. Vickie chokes Shida with her kendo stick! Rebel then throws Shida over to her corner and Itoh finishes her song. Shida rushes Itoh but Itoh BOPS her with the mic! And again! And again! Itoh takes off her headphones and finally gets into fight mode as she puts Shida into the ring.

The bell sounds and Itoh fires up to drop the Kokeshi, but misses! Shida KICKS Itoh, drags her up, and whips her to a corner. Itoh reverses, runs in and elbows! Itoh fires up, climbs up, and asks, “Who is the cutest in the world? ITOH-CHAN DEEESU~!” She rains down fists, but Shida carries Itoh away! Itoh fights free and stomps Shida’s foot! Itoh flips Shida off, but Shida grabs the dirty birds to pull them back! Shida arm-drags Itoh by the fingers! Tag to Ryo and she fires off machine gun chops! Ryo lets off and apologizes to the ref, to then shake it up and CHOP again! Ryo fires up with the fans, does the pantomime, and then runs in to clothesline!

Itoh flounders to her corner and tags Nyla, but Ryo tags Rosa. Rosa KICKS away on Nyla’s leg, then dropkicks her to ropes! Rosa fires forearms, Nyla forearms back! They go forearm for forearm, Rosa runs but Vickie is in the way! Nyla CLOBBERS Rosa, covers, ONE!! Nyla drags Rosa up and whips her to the corner, to then throw body shots as AEW goes picture in picture.

Nyla wrenches Rosa, whips her back in hard, then pie faces Ryo and taunts Shida! The ref is busy with all that, and Britt chokes Rosa! Nyla goes back to Rosa, drags her up, and tags in Itoh. Nyla snapmares Rosa then snap suplexes her, and Itoh fires up again, for the KOKESHI! Itoh is fired up, she covers, TWO! Itoh drags Rosa away from her corner to wrap on a chinlock. Rosa endures, elbows over and over, but can’t get free. Itoh puts Rosa on ropes, kicks her, then tags in Britt. Britt throws forearms but Rosa hits back. Britt puts Rosa in the corner and chokes her! The ref counts, Britt lets off to ROCK Rosa again! Britt drags Rosa around, and pulls her against the post!

The ref reprimands but Nyla adds her boot, and both Rebel and Vickie mock Rosa’s pain! The ref counts and everyone backs off, and Britt gets in while Itoh gets a bop in on Rosa. Britt tags Nyla, Nyla throws body shots on Rosa then snapmares for a NECK SNAPPER! Nyla drags Rosa up to waistlock but Rosa resists the lift. Rosa elbows free, throws more elbows, then wheelbarrows to a BULLDOG! Nyla flounders and flops, hot tags to Britt and Ryo! Aneki rallies on Britt, Itoh, and shoves Nyla into Britt, to then SPEAR Nyla!

AEW returns to single picture as fans fire up with Ryo! Ryo tags Shida, Shida baseball slides Nyla off the apron, and then Ryo whips Rosa into Britt! Shida runs in to KNEE Britt, then Shida wedges Britt in the corner for Ryo to be the human weapon, snap suplex into Britt! Shida covers, TWO! Itoh is also there but Ryo is after her. Ryo waistlocks Itoh, Shida powers up, but Britt ducks the drawing blade kick, and Itoh gets free to HEADBUTT Shida! Itoh fires up but Ryo CLOBBERS her! Nyla kicks Ryo, drags her up, but Rosa tags in and dropkicks Nyla! Rosa aims at Britt as she runs in at Britt and rams into her!

Rosa bumps Britt off buckles, throws elbows, then clotheslines! Rosa puts Britt out to join the others, and then she climbs the corner. Rosa LEAPS onto everyone, and takes them out with the Cancun Tornado! Fans fire up with Rosa as she drags Itoh up and around to put in the ring. Vickie swipes at Rosa but she kicks her away. Itoh forearms Rosa, reels her in and goes up the corner, for the TORNADO DDT! Cover, TWO!! Rosa survives but Itoh shouts to the corner. Vickie distracts the ref, Rebel has the crutch! Itoh shoves Rosa, Rosa blocks the crutch attack and shoves Rebel down onto the pile outside!

Itoh kicks Rosa, fires up and runs, but into a scoop! THUNDER DRIVER!! Cover, Rosa and team win!!

Winners: Thunder Rosa, Hikaru Shida & Ryo Mizunami, by pinfall

But then Britt SMACKS Rosa with the crutch! The Role Model is a sore loser! Ryo, Nyla, Shida and Itoh brawl on the outside, Britt digs the crutch into Rosa’s head! Britt then drags Rosa around to the Rings of Saturn, and the LOCKJAW!! Rebel and Vickie add on where they can, and Rebel even digs the crutch into Rosa’s face! Britt lets Rosa go, but will she be facing revenge soon enough?

Matt Hardy and Private Party speak.

They want Hardy to cheer up. Hardy says he’s been reflecting the last few days, and he says they need to bring more money in. Yeah, Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy are pumped! But Hardy says he needs more money. What Hangman did is criminal! He’s stealing from Hardy like a bizarro Robin Hood! Sure, it was one safe, but Hardy’s been filling up safes with money for his entire life! Smart! Hardy has money to sustain the business to April. So therefore, he is adding an addition to the Hardy Empire. Wait, another person outside of Private Party? Yes. Hardy got a huge money deal with AEW that is so big, Hardy’s managerial fee won’t even be noticed. He introduces them to… Butcher, Blade & The Bunny!

Wait, seriously? Well they have a really good look. Butcher, Blade & Private Party together are going to DESTROY whoever is against them on the debut episode of Dark: Elevation! And then they all will destroy The Dark Order for what they and Hangman did to Hardy! Will Kingston’s former fam help Hardy make up what he lost in blood money?

AEW TNT Championship: Darby Allin VS Scorpio Sky!

The Relentless One won alongside The Icon, and clearly if this match is still happening, he was able to walk after falling down with Brian Cage. As for The Closer, he was the one who climbed up and finally took down a “brass ring” to become the Face of the Revolution! But after this, will Scorpio be the Face of TNT? Or will the champion still be relentless?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and this revolution will be televised!

Fans rally and duel as Darby and Scorpio stare down. They fist bump to show there is respect, and then the two circle. They tie up, go around, and Scorpio powers Darby back, only for the two to break. They circle and tie up again, and Darby headlocks to hit a takeover. Scorpio fights up, powers Darby to ropes then powers out, and he trips Darby up to float to the headlock. Darby slips out and hammerlocks, but Scorpio rolls and gets up, only for Darby to wrangle him back down. Fans rally, Scorpio fights up, but Darby works on the wristlock. Scorpio scoops but Darby slips out to roll Scorpio, TWO! Darby jackknifes, TWO! Scorpio gets away to a corner and fans fire up!

And after her successful in-ring debut alongside Shaq, Jade Cargill is back for her first singles match! Will the female titan strike down another mere mortal that thinks they can stop her? Then, last but far from least, Britt Baker and Thunder Rosa will settle things once and for all, in the UNSANCTIONED, LIGHTS OUT NO HOLDS BARRED main event!! Will Rosa finally break Britt and check off one of her goals for 2021?

It’s time for the Inner Circle War Council!

Chris Jericho and MJF lead the way for Jake Hager, Santana and Ortiz as fans sing Judas. Jericho says, “When any great army needs to change their course in the middle of a battle, they have a war council to decide the best possible way to continue on in the combat, and that’s what we’re doing tonight.” They’ve been in a bit of a decline the last few weeks, even the last few months, and it’s easily remedied. They are the smartest in the business today. Time for a new attitude, outlook and maybe even some new members? MJF wants Jericho to wait a moment. “With all due respect, I really don’t think we need to add a new member. In fact, quite the contrary.”

If MJF is being honest, he thinks that maybe they need to let someone go. Wait, Sammy Guevara returns?! Well, the Spanish God quit this team a few weeks ago but he’s suddenly back! Fans are excited to see Sammy but Jericho is a bit amazed. We all remember this guy, right? “SAMMY! SAMMY!” Well that’s funny, because Jericho said he never wanted to see or hear from him again, so what is he doing here? Sammy knows he’s the last person Jericho wants to see, and he knows Jericho isn’t happy with him. But Jericho needs to see something. Oh, is that so? Sammy has a lot of guts. Jericho says Sammy is DEAD to them! They don’t want him here!

Sammy tells Jericho to just listen. “After everything we’ve been through, from the first Dynamite ’til now. After everything we’ve done, I need you to listen to me! I need you to see this!” Just  look at the screen! Jericho looks at the titantron, and Sammy’s vlog plays? Sammy set up a camera in the Inner Circle’s room earlier tonight! And then we fast-forward to MJF meeting with the others, and he said tonight was the night. They’ve been talking about this for months, but it’s all agreed that there needs to be new leadership in the Inner Circle! And they know who that should be, right? They cut off the head of the snake, and give Jericho a little good-bye. They all agreed to it?!

MJF says he didn’t want Jericho to find out that way, but oh well. GET HIM! Hager, Santana and Ortiz step up to Sammy and Jericho! But then… They turn on MJF! Perhaps they set MJF up! MJF wants them to hold on, but Jericho tells him, “Shut up, you stupid son of a bitch!” Did MJF really think they don’t talk to each other every single day?! Fans chant, “You Deserve It!” at MJF as Jericho says, “You really don’t think we were waiting for you to hang yourself, MJ?” Jericho says that since he’s the one that brought MJF in, he’ll be the one to bring him out! Jericho shoves MJF down! MJF has fear in his eyes as he begs for mercy. “On behalf of Jericho and the Inner Circle, your ass is FIRED!”

MJF wants Jericho to wait! But Jericho says on top of that, the Inner Circle is going to give him an old school beatdown! But MJF wants Jericho to hear him out! MJF didn’t want to take over, he swears! He swears!! MJF is crying?! But MJF says it’s because he was too busy “building my own!” What!? The lights go out, and then when they come back up, Wardlow is here, with Tully Blanchard, FTR and Shawn Spears!! The Inner Circle turns around to basically stare down a bizarro version of themselves! And then they brawl!! FTR SMASHES beer bottles on Hager, Spears SMACKS Sammy with a chair, then everyone else brawl!

Spears SMACKS Sammy again, FTR and PNP brawl, and Hager is after Jericho! Spears wedges a chair into a corner, to CURBO STOMP Sammy into it! Wardlow digs his boots into Jericho, FTR POSTS Santana, and then mug Ortiz! Spears helps drag Ortiz down then Cash is after Santana! PNP get cuffed, Wardlow ROCKS Jericho, and MJF just watches from a corner. Wardlow drags Jericho up top, and gives him thumbs down! FALLING KNEE SMASH! FTR then drag PNP up, Tully goes up a corner, DOUBLE SPIKE PILEDRIVERS!! Fans chant “YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!” but the damage has been done! MJF hops down and Wardlow drags Jericho up, for MJF to DYNAMITE DIAMOND PUNCH!

Jericho is bleeding from where the ring got him, and he reaches for Floyd the Baseball Bat. MJF stands on Jericho’s hand, Tully gets the bat up for MJF, and as Jericho tries to stand, bleeding all over himself, MJF JAMS Jericho with the bat, then BASHES him out of the ring! MJF tosses the bat aside, he and his circle loom over Jericho at the ramp, and then decide they’re not done with him! They drag Jericho to the stage and then to the side, for Wardlow to reel Jericho in! Wardlow POWERBOMBS Jericho off the stage!! Jericho crashes through spare tables, and MJF’s circle look down on him. Will a new force take over AEW?

My Thoughts:

What a powerful episode for AEW, especially to follow the PPV! Firstly, I like that they did address the lackluster explosion at the end of Revolution. Kingston and Moxley were able to laugh it off, Callis did a decent job of playing it off in kayfabe like it still worked out in their favor, and in a way it did, but I would’ve worded it differently. But we got a great moment with them all and then Christian Cage on top of it. I had the strangest feeling as things were being set up that Christian would immediately go for the world title, though that again flies in the face of the ranking system AEW loves to say matters. I do think Kingston & Moxley VS Good Brothers is going to be a great match next week.

Matt Jackson VS Fenix was a great opener, and it was a great move for Fenix to win that. I’m kinda hoping we get Nick VS Pac on the flipside soon, and then since they can’t drag the tag title match out to Double or Nothing in May, perhaps the title match happens on March 31st or April 7th. April 7th might be better to try and counterprogram WWE building up a huge week to WrestleMania. Penta starting beef with Cody was a really good move, too, and I almost want to see a trios match, Death Triangle VS Cody & The Bucks. All those matches could go either way, including the title match, but it’d make sense if the Bucks retained and made it to Double or Nothing or even All Out this year.

I won’t hold this against the episode, but HOLY HELL the technical difficulties during everything with QT, Johnson and Ethan Page. Were we getting audio from a basketball game happening somewhere? C’mon, TNT… But Johnson VS Ethan was a really good match, and Ethan is already put at a high level kicking out of Johnson’s finisher. QT’s turn is continuing to get interesting, as he just doesn’t even care about Johnson or Dustin and just walks away. I almost feel like QT and Ethan should just forces in a faction of their own and start a feud with the Nightmare Family since we’re not doing Nightmare Family VS Dark Order after the loss of Brodie Lee.

The Dark Order and Hangman had a really fun segment for as short as it was. I like that they’re also honoring Brodie Lee by having a riding mower. But I guess those other mowers from last year aren’t around anymore, so maybe Hangman can buy them all new ones and they can all ride together so that no one gets left behind. Hardy’s response kinda fits what I expected, with Hardy needing more cashflows, and that means more members of his stable. A little disappointed that it’s not The Hybrid2, but maybe whatever is keeping Angelico away is why they can’t do that now. Or if Angelico gets to come back in time, they also join up and it can be an insane 7v7 match with Dark Order and Hangman for Double or Nothing.

The Six Woman Tag was a lot of fun, especially Maki Itoh. Itoh-chan is definitely a comedic genius, and she does great as a character and wrestler. The Faces winning here makes sense after the Heels got the drop on them at Revolution. But then the Heels stand tall because they’re sore losers, and now we’re getting the first-ever Women’s Unsanctioned Match! Rosa VS Britt is going to be amazing, but ironically it won’t matter towards one of them going after the title because it’s “unsanctioned.” At the same time, Big Swole needs to be given her story with Shida because of that great promo about the rankings on the pre-PPV Dark. If it matters, make it matter and give Swole her shot!

The TNT Championship was awesome stuff, too, and it was incredible to see Scorpio have those counters. Darby getting a quick win off a cradle was definitely to keep Scorpio strong even in losing, and Scorpio is definitely turning. If he could do a Heel Hook that dangerous, he probably should’ve used it on Darby in the match, but maybe he will from now on, and in a rematch. Then, the War Council was great, especially with the swerves. It was a bit odd, though, for Sammy to have video evidence on MJF to show Jericho, but then Jericho technically knew all along because the Inner Circle talks privately. But then MJF swerves back to reveal his own group, and the beatdown was quite impressive. That should totally be how AEW looks to bring back Blood & Guts, or introduce a similar match, 5v5 to settle things between Inner Circle and MJF.

My Score: 9.5/10

We still don’t have an answer on who the newest Family member will be, but will Callis even need them if they can tear Omega & Ospreay apart before Grand Slam?

Backstage interview with Swerve Strickland.

Well, not quite, as Renee Paquette waits outside his locker room, hoping for a word about Ricochet’s threatening Prince Nana. Wait, Hangman Page barges through, and says no one is in there. Renee asks what Hangman is even doing, he says it is none of her business. Then can Hangman comment on Christopher Daniels announcing the end of his in-ring career? Nope, no time. But then Hangman literally bumps into MJF. These two stare down, but then Hangman moves on. MJF says unbelievable. The Cowboy walks around like he’s King S*it just because the fans like him. No matter what he does, Hangman did nothing wrong~!

But MJF even so much as breathes funny and it is all over for him. How hypocritical. MJF mutters to himself but Renee asks how he feels about Jeff Jarrett’s match where he could win a title opportunity with Moxley. Renee snaps MJF out of ranting to himself, and MJF apologizes, it’s the ADHD. But MJF is not gonna let anybody ruin his mood tonight. Because tonight, he proves his words aren’t just beautiful poetry but prophecy. Tonight, Double J learns that as MJF said, you’re better off making a deal with The Devil than defying him. Jarrett learns that the hard way when he goes out there alone to face one of the most dangerous men AEW has to offer in the man-horse, Claudio Castagnoli!

And that is all because of Jarrett’s narcissism, and his refusal of MJF’s sweetheart deal. MJF has a new offer, and unfortunately for Jarrett, it is one he can’t decline. It goes like this: The Last Outlaw’s Last Ride! Ain’t that great? MJF grins, but will he have to eat his words when Jarrett finds a way to defeat the Swiss Cyborg?

“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs speaks.

“Unfortunately, Big Bill, I wasn’t cleared to travel to Dynamite tonight. But just as we went off that stage on Collision, I told we’re going to Hell. When I’m cleared to come back, I’m gonna show you that Hell is just the beginning.” When and where will The Book of Hobbs finish this chapter with The Redwood?

High Stakes: Jeff Jarrett VS Claudio Castagnoli!

Well, just as the Wolf of Wrestling said, The Last Outlaw is going up against the Death Rider’s workhorse, all for his shot at Jon Moxley and the AEW World Championship! Will Double J win here to go on to “the big one?” Or is this where Jarrett’s ride ends?

The bell rings and the fans rally up for Jarrett. Jarrett and Claudio tie up, go around, go along ropes, and end up in a corner. The ref counts, Claudio lets off slowly, but then takes a swing! Jarrett avoids the cheap shot to UPPERCUT Claudio! Claudio headlocks, Jarrett powers up and out, but Claudio runs him over! Things keep moving, Jarrett drops down then arm-drags! And HIP TOSSES! Jarrett whips, JAPANESE ARM-DRAGS, and the fans fire up! Jarrett puts Claudio in a corner, climbs up, and he rains down fists! The fans count along, but Claudio stops Jarrett at 4 to then atomic drop! Claudio runs, and he LARIATS Jarrett down! Cover, TWO!

Claudio argues with the ref but the count was fair. Claudio drags Jarrett up, reels him in, but Jarrett powers up to back drop free! But Claudio sunset flips, Jarrett rolls through, and Jarrett has the legs! FIGURE FOUR! The fans “WOO~!” while Claudio flails! Claudio crawls over to the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Jarrett lets go fast, and the fans cheer while Claudio bails out. Jarrett waits on Claudio and the fans rally behind “DOUBLE J! DOUBLE J!” Claudio waves to the crowd? Oh, of course! Wheeler Yuta is here! The Decoder is dressed and ready for his match against Jay White, but he looks ready to go now if he has to!

Jarrett storms out and dares Yuta to do something, but the ref has Yuta stay back. Now Claudio waits on Jarrett in the ring, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref has Jarrett leave Yuta alone, and he tells Yuta to stay back. Jarrett returns to the ring, dodges Claudio and puts him on ropes! Jarrett runs to then STRADDLE ATTACK! The fans cheer as Jarrett does the Fargo Strut, then runs back in, only for Yuta to warn Claudio! Claudio dodges and TOSSES Jarrett out of the ring! The ref keeps Claudio from going out there, but that lets Yuta attack Jarrett! Yuta gets away with it all and Claudio goes out the side. Claudio SMACKS Jarrett off the barriers, then stalks him around the way. Claudio then lifts Jarrett to hit SNAKE EYES off railing! Claudio puts Jarrett in the ring and clamps on a COBRA CLUTCH!

Jarrett endures while Claudio thrashes him around. Jarrett fights up, fires body shots, but Claudio HOTSHOTS him on ropes! Jarrett sputters, Claudio kicks him out to the floor, and again the ref keeps Claudio in the ring. Yuta creeps up, but the ref senses him this time! Yuta backs off, Claudio goes out, and Claudio puts Jarrett in the ring. Claudio tells the ref not to worry about Yuta, but then Jarrett fires body shots! Jarrett ROCKS Claudio, fires more shots, but Claudio BOOTS him down! And hits a LEG DROP, brother! Cover, TWO! Claudio clamps onto Jarrett with a chinlock and grinds him down while Dynamite returns to single picture.

The fans rally as Jarrett fights to his feet. Jarrett fires body shots, then powers Claudio to a corner. Jarrett whisp corner to corner but Claudio reverses, then follows in for an UPPERCUT! Snapmare and cover, TWO! Jarrett toughs it out and the fans rally some more. Claudio grabs the legs, but Jarrett kicks him away! Claudio comes back to DOUBLE STOMP! Cover, TWO! Jarrett stays in this and the fans cheer, but Claudio gives scuffing, mocking kicks. Claudio whips but Jarrett catches him for a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! The fans fire up and both men stand. Claudio fires hands on Jarrett, then UPPERCUTS!

Claudio UPPERCUTS again and Jarrett staggers around. Claudio UPPERCUTS, Jarrett HAYMAKERS! They go back and forth, the fans cheer Jarrett but boo Claudio. Jarrett gets the edge but Claudio kicks low! Claudio winds up to UPPERCUT, but Jarrett DECKS him in return! The fans fire up with Jarrett and he swings more shots and even some KICKS! Jarrett trips Claudio, steps through, but Claudio BOOTS him away! Claudio runs up in the corner again, but Jarrett dodges! Claudio is stuck, Jarrett kicks at the free leg! Claudio hobbles around but Jarrett winds up, only for Claudio to block! Jarrett aims, but Claudio ducks the enzigiri!

Claudio grabs both legs, for the GIANT SWING!! Claudio goes around and around, but can only manage half a dozen rotations because of the damage to his own leg! Claudio steps through on Jarrett and turns him over, SHARPSHOOTER! The fans boo but Jarrett endures! Jarrett reaches out while Claudio sits deep! Yuta tells Jarrett to just tap out, but the fans rally! Jarrett powers up, pushes back, and he has Claudio’s legs! Jarrett has the SHARPSHOOTER! Jarrett does this for Owen! Claudio endures, but Yuta slides a chair in! Yuta then distracts the ref, Jarrett lets Claudio go, and Jarrett DECKS Yuta!

The fans cheer, but Claudio grabs the chair! The ref ushers Yuta out, but Jarrett dodges the chair! Jarrett wrenches Claudio, reels him in, but MOXLEY is here!! The Maniac hits a PARADIGM SHIFT!! The fans boo but Moxley & Yuta bail out so that Claudio can hook Jarrett up! GOTCH NEUTRALIZER!! And then he hauls Jarrett up again, GOTCH NEUTRALIZER AGAIN!! Cover, Claudio wins!

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli, by pinfall (denies Jeff Jarrett a world title match)

Marina Shafir is also ringside now, just to hold up the briefcase that holds the world title. The Death Riders screw Double J over, but it took almost ALL of them to do it! Is this a sign that they fear Double J’s grit and determination? As for the Last Outlaw, he slowly sits up from taking all those big shots, the fans cheering him on. Jarrett thanks the fans, but here comes MJF… Jarrett sighs while he struggles to stand up, and MJF struts out here with another stupid grin on his face. MJF goes right to the ring, mic in hand, and he tells Jarrett, “I just wanted to come out here to say…” HE CLOBBERS JARRETT WITH THE DYNAMITE DIAMOND RING!!

The fans boo as MJF grins again and stands over Jarrett. MJF picks the mic back up to say, “As you know, I truly respect my elders. And that’s precisely why I’m not gonna say I told you so.” MJF leaves Double J behind, but will the Scumbag actually man up and go for gold? Or is he just going to wait it out while The Maniac continues his reign of terror?

Backstage interview with Ricochet.

Renee is with the One & Only and says earlier today, she tried to get a word with Swerve Strickland, but he is nowhere to be found. But she has been informed that should Swerve interfere in Ricochet’s match tonight, Swerve will effectively forfeit the match the two of them were set to have next week in Atlanta. Really? Ricochet likes that. Because finally, Swerve is out of Ricochet’s business. Well, Renee knows Ricochet has a lot he wants to get off his chest, so what’s on his mind? Ricochet says no, no, we aren’t doing this right now. Look at how Ricochet is dressed. Does she take him for some kind of hoodlum?

No, they will do this in a more formal setting this Saturday on Collision. As for tonight, “the powers that be” have decided to further bully Ricochet by putting him in a match against AR Fox one week before one of the biggest matches in Ricochet’s career. So if you don’t mind, let him take care of that situation real quick. Renee wishes him luck but he says no need. The music hits and Ricochet makes his entrance. Will Dynamite be #OuttaThisWorld? Or will it be the Whole Fox’n Show?

Ricochet VS AR Fox!

The bell rings and the fans rally up. Ricochet is annoyed already and he talks trash on Huntsville. Ricochet and Fox circle, tie up, and Ricochet pulls hair to put Fox in a corner. The ref counts, the fans boo, but Ricochet lets off to then shove Fox. Ricochet eggs Fox on, Fox runs up, and Fox gets around to headlock. Ricochet powers up and out, Fox RUNS Ricochet over, then keeps moving. He RUNS Ricochet over again, then ducks a lariat to hit a headlock takeover. Ricochet rolls that to a cover, ONE and Fox holds onto the headlock. The fans cheer but Ricochet fights around. Ricochet fights up, fires body shots, then powers out.

Fox goes up the corner, Ricochet stops the rana but Fox mule kicks and FLYING STUNNERS! Ricochet staggers, Fox suplexes, SPINNING BRAINBUSTER! Ricochet tumbles out of the ring and the fans fire up. Fox fireman’s carries, but Ricochet slips into the ring!

Ricochet shoves Fox, then APRON HIP TOSSES him! Fox writhes on the floor while Ricochet soaks up the heat, Ricochet builds speed, but rolls to a stop and taunts the fans for thinking he’d give them something. The fans boo but Ricochet soaks it up, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Ricochet slingshots to KNEE-BOARD SENTON! Ricochet taunts the fans more, then stomps Fox down. Ricochet stomps away at the ropes, Fox bails out of the ring, but Ricochet pursues. Fox kicks but Ricochet blocks to CHOP! Fox staggers away, slips into the ring, but Ricochet stalks him. Fox snarls and he CHOPS! Fox fires hands, but Ricochet UPPERCUTS him down! Ricochet runs to UPPERCUT Fox in the back!

Ricochet then runs and BASEMENT UPPERCUTS! Ricochet soaks up more heat, then clamps onto Fox with a motorcycle stretch! Fox endures the knee in his back while Ricochet pulls on the arms. Fox fights, stands, and fires body shots! But Ricochet CLAWS Fox’s back! Ricochet puts Fox in the corner, CLAWS his back again, then tells the ref to back off. Ricochet stands Fox up to CHOP! Ricochet RAMS into Fox, ROCKS him with a forearm, then snapmares him into a chinlock. Ricochet again digs his knee into Fox’s back, but Fox endures while the fans rally. Dynamite returns to single picture as Fox fights up.

Fox fires hands, runs, but into a DROPKICK! The fans boo but Ricochet tells them to shut up. Cover, TWO! Ricochet ELBOWS Fox in the head, then DECKS him! Ricochet stand Fox up but Fox fires forearms! Ricochet wobbles, Fox runs, but Ricochet SPINEBUSTERS Fox down! Ricochet scuffs Fox, and the fans boo as he pretends to be The People’s Champion! Ricochet runs to drop the PEOPLE’S MOONSAULT! Ricochet survives again and Fox is shocked! Ricochet crawls to the apron, “This is Awesome!” as Fox game plans. Fox drags Ricochet back in but Ricochet holds the ropes! Ricochet kicks free, but Fox has Ricochet in the ropes! Fox drags Ricochet up, fireman’s carries, but Ricochet still clings to ropes! Fox pulls Ricochet free, so now Ricochet grabs the ref! The ref reprimands, Ricochet lets go but Fox lets him down. RECOIL from Ricochet! Cover, TWO!!

Fox survives and now Ricochet is shocked! The fans fire up and Fox sputters back to life. But Ricochet locks ‘n’ loads, SPIRIT GUN!! And then the dragon sleeper, the VERTIGO!! Cover, Ricochet wins!

Winner: Ricochet, by pinfall

That was indeed #OuttaThisWorld, but Fox gave as good as he got right to the end! But Ricochet brings out the golden scissors!? BUT WAIT! SWERVE IS HERE! Swerve trips Ricochet and throws him into the barriers! The fans fire up as Swerve fires off on Ricochet, then throw shim around ringside! And then into steel steps! Ricochet sputters and Swerve snarls, and then Swerve puts Ricochet in the ring. But then Ricochet uses Fox as a shield! Ricochet even has the scissors against Fox’s neck to threaten him like he did Nana! Swerve stands down and Ricochet retreats. But with one week to go, will Ricochet enter Swerve’s House only to NOT make it out in one piece?

AEW shares a snippet from Closeup with Renee Paquette.

We got a little taste on Saturday during Collision, now we get a little more as Renee asks Jon Moxley about the AEW World Championship itself. From the moment Moxley won it, he’s kept it hidden. First a garbage bag, now the briefcase. Why is it Moxley is essentially holding this title hostage? Moxley asks back why anyone needs to see the belt. What does anyone get out of it? Do they want to take a picture of it? Is this a petting zoo? Why does anyone need to see it when they don’t know anything about it? They don’t understand it on any level. They don’t understand what a world championship means, what it is about, what it takes to be a world champion.

Moxley IS the AEW World Championship! He is the living definition of what it is to be a champion. Want to see it? Take a look at it, because it’s right here. HE is the AEW World Championship, it lives here. It isn’t something you hold, it isn’t something you show off, it isn’t something you take pictures with. It lives in the heart! It has to be cultivated, grown, forged in the white hot fires of struggle and combat. And as we heard from Collision, Moxley is trying to build a THOUSAND Moxleys! He wants to backfill AEW, so that means he must put them through what he went through, and maybe even worse.

The Maniac’s reign of terror is much deeper than we knew. But will it ever come to an end?

The Learning Tree speaks.

Chris Jericho says, “Hi, guys~! Welcome to another New York Minute, coming to you live this week from Huntsville, Alabama, home of the Crimson Toad.” Bryan Keith adds, “ROLL TOAD!” Jericho says a lot is going on with The Nueve, like his new movie, Dark Match, premiering in theaters and on Shudder this Friday night. It’s violent, it’s gory, it’s fun, just like The Learning Tree! But speaking of violent, we also saw last week on Collision, Big Bill took out Will Hobbs! Tells us about it, Redwood! Bill says what “LT” said last week really struck a chord with him. It is one thing for Bill to share the teachings of Jericho with the world, but it’s another to put those words into action.

Bill feels now that he understands Jericho’s words in a way that he never did before. He feels… Stronger. Jericho says yes, when he hears Bill say that, it makes Jericho very proud. Jericho is very proud… of himself, for being such a great mentor! And Jericho told Bill to take out Hobbs, but permanently. Bill didn’t do that, so Bill will have to work a little bit harder next time. But Bill will get that chance again this Saturday, as Jericho & Bad Apple Bryan Keith take on those other heathens who beat them in that 12 Man Tag at Maximum Carnage, The Outrunners! Jericho says the Outrunners claim to have been around for decades, but Jericho’s never seen them anywhere but AEW, EVER!

Keith says that’s a Mandela Effect! Jericho says this Saturday, The Youngest Men Alive get taught a lesson from the smartest men alive, and Big Bill will make Jericho proud for real this time. That’s all! Another New York Minute! Thanks, guys~! Jericho’s cocky smile turns into a sneer, but will he and Keith really bring down Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum? Or will the Learning Tree get a Total Recall?

Jay White VS Wheeler Yuta!

The Switchblade has been after The Death Riders for months now, and he especially owes The Decoder for all the underhanded ways he’s gotten involved in White’s title matches. Will Yuta learn to Breathe with the Switchblade? Or will he just ruin another night for Jay White?

White crawls away to the ropes, goes to the apron, but Yuta kicks him to the floor. Yuta goes out but White CHOPS him down! The fans fire up, but Yuta trips White! Yuta SLAMS the bad leg into the LED barriers! And though Excalibur said it a few seconds ago, now Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Yuta drags White around the way, puts him back in the ring, and he pushes White to a cover. TWO, but Yuta keeps White down for another cover, TWO! Another cover, TWO! Yuta is annoyed, White CHOPS him but Yuta SLAPS White! Yuta has the toehold and twists the foot. White CLAWS Yuta’s back but Yuta TWISTS the ankle! White endures, reaches out, and he crawls around. Yuta taunts White to go for the ropes, and White flails as he inches closer.

White fights and fights, and finally has the ROPEBREAK! Yuta mockingly applauds while the ref counts, and Yuta lets the leglock go at 4. Yuta stomps White, has him in the corner, and then he puts the bad leg on the ropes. Yuta stands on the bad leg, the ref counts, and Yuta steps off at 4. Yuta argues with the ref, but White stands up to CHOP! White hobbles Yuta CHOPS him in return! White flops into the corner, but he CHOPS in return! Yuta ROCKS White with a forearm, then stalks him along the ropes. White stands to ROCK Yuta! White hobbles as he storms up on Yuta, and Yuta ROCKS White back!

Dynamite returns to single picture, White CHOPS again, but Yuta KICKS the bad leg! White flops against the ropes and Yuta mocks the fans. White comes back to CHOP! The fans rally, Yuta storms up, but White CHOPS again! White roars, the fans fire up, but Yuta kicks the bad leg! White falls back, Yuta mocks the roar, then he storms up on White in the corner. Yuta hoists White up to the top rope, “YUTA SUCKS!” but he CLAWS White’s eyes! Yuta climbs up behind White, but White fights the lift! White CLUBS Yuta again and again, then ELBOWS him! Claudio CLOBBERS White, and now he and Moxley stomp away on White! Yuta flounders, but here comes Rated FTR!! Cope, Dax & Cash run The Death Riders off, but Moxley grins as he dares Cope to come get him. Cope helps White up, and Dax gets a mic.

“It’s a little different, huh? It’s a little different because it’s even, it’s an even fight right now. Death Riders, I know how you operate. And here’s the thing, I don’t hate how you operate. But what I do hate is when you try to end a 67-year-old man who is my idol, Ricky Morton. That’s what I got a problem! Right now, tonight, one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, one half of the greatest tag team, The Midnight Express, Dennis Condrey, is here! In Dennis Condrey’s name, on Collision, FTR VS The Death Riders, in a Midsouth Street Fight!” The fans like the sound of that! Dax says, “See y’all there.” Will the Top Guys make sure The Death Riders finally get what they deserve?

Renee Paquette is on stage.

She welcomes out the AEW Women’s World Champion, Mariah May! The Glamour walks out on stage, says it is great to be in Huntsville, “but looking around, maybe we should change the first letter to a C?” The fans get what she means, but Renee moves things along. We have seen the metamorphosis of “Timeless” Toni Storm, who Mariah will be defending the title against at Grand Slam: Australia. Mariah seemed a bit shaken- Oh, wow, we’re doing this? Toni Storm playing the part of Toni Storm, the RETURN~ of Toni Storm! This isn’t real, Renee! None of it is! Toni Storm is NOT real! Mariah then snatches the mic from Renee while the fans chant “TONI! TONI!”

Mariah scowls at the fans, then says, “You want to play the role of Toni Storm? Okay, why don’t you play the Toni Storm who gave her heart to a woman who used her for her gold? No, no, why don’t you play the Toni Storm who’s most memorable moment was bleeding and crying in my hands?” The fans boo but Mariah says maybe Toni should play the Toni who walked out of Wembley Stadium and Japan and Mexico, because she couldn’t touch Mariah. Mariah smirks while fans boo, and Mariah says Toni can play whatever Toni she’d like, because the ending stays the same. Mariah doesn’t need to rope play. When you’re this good, you don’t need to change a thing.

Mariah says, “I am the Woman From Hell, and I always will be. And I will remind you for the rest of your life. Look now and never forget, for this is your AEW Women’s World Champion!” Mariah holds up the title, but with just over two weeks left, will she lose it all to the woman she took it all from?

AEW checks on on The Gunns.

Austin & Colten have been watching from home, looking back on their rise to the top, and working on making it back. When and where will it be #GunnsUp again?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

On top of Jericho & Keith VS The Outrunners, we will see Samoa Joe & Hook team up against Nick Wayne & Kip Sabian! Will The Patriarchy’s “sons” be able to stop the Samoan Submission Machine and the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil? Then, after hearing Mariah speak tonight, “Timeless” Toni Storm will give her response! And then, after the tense stare downs from last week’s Homecoming, Daniel Garcia is putting up his TNT Championship in a Triple Threat! Kyle O’Reilly and Lee Moriarty are stepping up, but will either of them take this title from Red Death?

The Hurt Syndicate speaks.

Montel Vontavious Porter says, “Normally, we would gloat. But we’re gonna celebrate. First, because we’re classy gentlemen who conduct business, I would like to recognize the former AEW Tag Team Champions, Private Party. Zay, Quen, they’re warriors, they fought hard. It wasn’t their fault they ran into the most devastating tandem in ALL of professional wrestling. These tag team titles are going to stay here as long as we want them. We are putting everyone on notice. The All Mighty, Bobby Lashley. The Standard of Excellence, Shelton Benjamin. Hurt Syndicate will accept any challenge from any challenger. Any time, any place.

“We are the Hurt Syndicate, and we hurt people.” Then who will dare step up against this dangerous and powerful pair?

The Don Callis Family speaks.

Don Callis himself says, “We are the true one-percenters of professional wrestling.” Konosuke Takeshita is not only the AEW International Champion, he is the NEVER Openweight Champion after defeating Shingo Takagi at WrestleKingdom 19 and Tomohiro Ishii at WrestleDynasty. They will do what they do everywhere in the world, whatever ring they step into, and win 1-2-3! Will that be the case when AEW arrives in Australia?

The Vendetta speak.

Taya Valkyrie has the cameraman come in close. “Moments from now, we’re gonna witness Mercedes Mone defend her TBS Championship VS Yuka. UGH!” Deonna Purrazzo says, “We both know that could have been me, it should have been me, and it would have been me, if it wasn’t for Harley Cameron.” Taya says Harley loves sticking her “balloons” where they don’t belong, and Deonna says this world wasn’t built for women like them. That is why they must TAKE what they deserve. So Harley, now you belong to The Vendetta. Saturday Night Collision, they are coming to collect. The Virtuosa then dismisses the cameraman, will Harley pay for doing the right thing?

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone VS Yuka Sakazaki!

The CEO may be the FOUR-BELT BOSS, but she is still up for a challenge. She turned down Harley Cameron as Harley hasn’t won anything on AEW TV, ever. But then Harley made sure the Wrestling Magical Girl had a fair chance in Homecoming’s Fatal 4 Way last Saturday Night Collision. Will Yuka thank Harley for that by defeating Mone? Or will The CEO still be the Face of TBS?

The introductions are made, the AEW belt is raised, and we see if Mone holds onto the hardware!

Mone stomps a mudhole into Yuka, stands on her, then steps off as the ref counts. Mone runs back in, but she blocks Yuka’s boot! Yuka tries another kick, Mone blocks that, and Mone puts Yuka in the ropes. Mone ROCKS Yuka, then hits the STOCK DROP! Cover, TWO!

Yuka stays in this and Mone is annoyed. Mone storms back up on Yuka, drags her up by her hair, then scoops her, only for Yuka to slip free! Yuka has the arms for a motorcycle stretch, but then throws Mone down into a cover, TOW! Mone hurries to her feet and she DROPKICKS Yuka down! Yuka flounders, but she still kicks Mone from below. Mone stomps away on Yuka, drags her up and scoops again, for the SLAM! Mone kneels on the cover, TWO! Yuka stays in this but Mone stays on her by clamping on a chinlock. Yuka endures, fights up, and fires body shots. Mone THROWS Yuka down by her hair, then dusts herself off.

Mone soaks up more heat, KNEES Yuka in the back again and again and again, then puts her in the motorcycle stretch! Yuka endures, fights up to her feet, but Mone pushes her back down! Winner: Mercedes Mone, by pinfall (still AEW TBS Champion)

Mone got quite the fight from Yuka, but she not only holds onto this title, but she stays the FOUR BELT BOSS! Will anyone ever end The CEO’s world domination?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite here, and it moved rather smoothly. I can’t be sure, but it felt like there was less talking and more story told through action. Great opening match from Ospreay VS Cage, and they hit all the beats: Omega got attacked backstage; Ospreay still wins despite Archer and Callis getting involved; Don Callis Family beats Ospreay up; Omega makes the save; Don Callis Family still beats him and Ospreay up. I feel like the teaser of the “sixth man” was a little soon if Ospreay & Omega were still going to be on the defensive, but maybe we’ll see the reveal during the tag match for Grand Slam: Australia. It would certainly be a big moment for their newest “biggest show.”

Plus, great story intertwining, it was a bit like the AEW of old. Hangman looking for Swerve but not finding him, then bumping into MJF was good stuff. MJF of course talked smack on Jarrett before Jarrett VS Claudio, and Jarrett VS Claudio was some great stuff. But wow, Moxley needing to get involved to screw over Jarrett? I feel like Claudio could’ve just given Jarrett a low blow and it would’ve been the same. But I suppose Jarrett really being down and out gave MJF his opening to add on, which of course all but guarantees we’re getting MJF VS Jarrett, probably also for Grand Slam: Australia. Again, it’s AEW’s new big special, they’re not having MJF miss that.

Ricochet had a good promo getting all cocky because he thought he was safe, and then he had a great match against AR Fox. Swerve appearing from under the ring (at least I think that’s where he was, the cameras didn’t catch where he came from) was great, and he got to beat up on Ricochet a bit. Ricochet still got away before Swerve could truly stand tall, but this was the go-home to their match next week in Atlanta, and Swerve certainly has the edge on Ricochet. That would usually indicate Swerve loses, and I could see Ricochet cheating to do it. I feel like they could easily set a bigger, better match for Grand Slam, maybe even Revolution, we’ll have to wait and see.

Good snippet from that Moxley interview for Closeup, thought it didn’t add too much to what we got on Collision last week. White VS Yuta was a great match, and while White won, the Death Riders of course came out to go after him. That then of course brought out Rated FTR, but surprisingly no brawl. FTR putting out the challenge for the Midsouth Street Fight is good stuff, and that match will be some awesome stuff, and also hard to call. We also got a good vignette from The Gunns, so maybe we will get them returning to help White against the Death Riders, and then we can actually get a World Trios Championship already.

Good promo from Hobbs to explain why he couldn’t be here tonight, and this was surely legit given that wild fall off the stage in Daily’s Place. Any number of bumps, scrapes, bruises and such could’ve happened when crashing down through tables and hitting the ground, and Hobbs is still only just returning from injury, they can’t risk him getting injured again. Good “New York Minute” from The Learning Tree, but the highlight was Jericho’s continued condescending towards Big Bill. Bill really needs to turn on Jericho before this story is over, and I’d love if Bill also ranted about all the things Jericho got wrong about the USA while trying to be “The King of New York.”

Good promo from Mariah to respond to that confrontation with Toni Storm, and Toni’s promo on Collision will surely be good stuff. Good promo from Vendetta, I feel like whatever match they have with Harley should end up Harley’s win. Then Harley can throw that win in Mone’s face because she wants that title shot in Australia. Speaking of, awesome main event from Mone VS Yuka, probably one of Yuka’s best matches in AEW. But of course Mone won, she’s been going strong and probably will keep going until Kamille comes back or we get another crossover of AEW, NJPW and other partners, aka Forbidden Door: London.

My Score: 8.9/10

Attitude of Aggression

The Attitude Of Aggression returns for the 10th Annual Swaggy Awards, our annual celebration of the best-of-the-best in pro wrestling for 2024. After a fantastic discussion in Part 1, the boys return for Part 2. And if you thought the discussion in Part 1 was epic…. well, you haven’t heard anything yet. Here on Part 2 of the Swaggys, Dave was again joined by PC Tunney, Kinny Killa, Rob from The Mindless Wrestling Podcast, and the one and only Rey Ca$h. But we also welcome Andrew Balaz to the discussion this time around. Here on Part 2, the gang passed out virtual hardware in categories such as Moment of the Year and Upset of the Year. But Part 2 is mostly about the big categories: The Best Matches of the Year and the Best Wrestlers of 2024. All that and much, much more, including an unsanctioned award a Decade in the making (IYKYK). You never know what will happen on the Swaggys. Who walked away with the gold and the glory here on Part 2? Did we get any unanimous winners this time out? Tune in and find out.
