Cage RAMS Hangman more, lets off as the ref counts, and comes back to uppercut and GAMANGIRI, then GERMAN SUPLEX! Cover, TWO! Hangman is still hanging in there but Cage throws him out of the ring.

Cage and Hangman brawl outside the ring, Cage knees low and THROWS Hangman into barriers! Cage drags Hangman up and THROWS him into railings again! Fans boo, Cage soaks up the heat and gets Hangman back up to wrench for an ARPON BACK SUPLEX! Cage drags Hangman around to CHOP him! The #1 contender goes down to the FTW World Champion! Will this help Brian Cage leap frog all the way to the top? Can anything stop the Path of Cage?

AEW hears from The Elite.

Matt Jackson asks what Brandon Cutler is doing, he needs to get into the limo. Everyone is crowded inside and Don Callis says they need to celebrate. Kenny Omega is the NEW Impact World Champion! He’s got so many belts, they need a stretch job to have them all! And of course, the Young Bucks still have their tag titles, and Callis is going to be on commentary for their match with the Sydals. Omega is feeling great, feeling freaky, but also feeling upset. Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston drove a TRUCK into their trailer, in an attempt to end the Elite’s lives! But they’re used to “non-sport numb nut people,” from fans to wrestlers to management, trying to stop them.

Wherever they go, the money and the gold follows. They aren’t going to be intimidated or scared! What they did has not fazed Omega. Omega is NOT afraid of Moxley! The Elite is not afraid! But then the honking spooks everyone! Michael Nakazawa apologizes, he accidentally pressed the horn button. Dammit, Nak, don’t do that! But Omega wants us to listen and listen carefully: You mess with one of them you mess with all of them. If you want a fight, they’ll give you a fight! If Kingston wants to fight Omega, he’ll get Nakazawa first! Will the Mad King be able to get past the pawn to get at Omega?

AEW World Tag Team Eliminator Match: The Young Bucks VS The Sydal Brothers!

Just as promised, “The Invisible Hand” that’s been pulling the strings joins commentary to watch as Matt & Nick Jackson take on Matt & Mike, who have been getting on the nerves and in the way of Kenny Omega. Will the AEW World Tag Team Champions cross a team off the list of contenders? Or will the Bucks owe a golden opportunity down the line?

The teams sort out and Matt Jackson starts against Mike Sydal and they circle as fans are fired up. They tie up, Matt wrenches Mike’s arm, Mike rolls and handsprings and wrenches back to a wristlock. Matt flips, kips and throat chops! Matt acts like he doesn’t understand what was wrong, then whips. Mike reverses, does the splits to duck then sweeps the legs! STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, ONE and Matt tags Nick. Nick throws his headband at Mike but Mike still arm-drags Nick to an armlock! Mike gets Nick up and Matt Sydal tags in. The Sydals hand off the wrench, Matt slips around to arm-drag but Nick headscissors. Matt kips free, snapmare but Nick kicks low.

Nick scoops but Matt arm-drags Nick again! And again! Matt has Nick in an armlock, then hooks a leg for a modified full nelson! Nick flails, Matt drags him around, and then lets him free to wrench. Tag to Mike, the Sydals whip and drop toehold for the basement dropkick! Matt Jackson runs in but both Sydals go Matrix to then double dropkick Matt down! Fans fire up with the Sydals as they high-ten, and Matt gets Nick. Nick swings but misses, Mike back suplexes but Matt tags in. Mike has Nick in a corner, whips him corner to corner but Nick reverses. Mike CLOBBERS Nick, Matt SUPERKICKS Mike! Matt Sydal runs in but Matt Jackson clotheslines him down!

Matt Jackson paces around Mike, basement dropkicks, and then paces around as AEW goes picture in picture. Matt toys with Mike as he kicks him around, but Mike throws body shots. Matt DECKS Mike, shakes his hand out then takes a breath. Matt gets Mike up, bumps him off buckles, then tags Nick in. Snapmare and slingshot senton fist drop combo! Nick taunts Matt Sydal, then drags Mike up. Nick does a little dance before he DECKS Mike! Nick scoops then SLAMS Mike, drops an elbow but misses! Mike trips up Matt, but Nick PENALTY KICKS Mike from the apron! Nick says the kick is good, and then says the camera man should keep his eye on him or something like that.

Nick puts Mike in, tags Matt, and the Bucks set Mike up for a catapult into the GAMANGIRI! Springboard double stomps across Matt’s knees! The Bucks are in control as AEW goes to break!

AEW returns as Nick and Mike DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE! Both are down, but while the ref is busy with Matt Sydal, Matt Jackson rolls Nick out of the ring and takes his place! Wait, this can’t work, they’re not twins! The ref still doesn’t realize and he starts a standing count! Open your eyes, ref! Matt flips over, kips up, and the ref realizes what’s going on. He says there was no tag, so Matt Jackson has to get out. But instead, he drags Mike away from his brother, only for Mike to ENZIGURI! Hot tag to Matt Sydal! Sydal dropkicks and fires off more kicks on Jackson! Nick gets in, and he gets a wheel kick!

Matt Sydal has Matt Jackson, who the ref is letting be legal, in a Fisherman BUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Sydal fires off KICKS on Jackson, but he slides under! Pop to a gut wrench, but Sydal changes it as Nick springboards! SLICE JAWBREAKER COMBO! Standing Mariposa! Tag to Mike, “This is Awesome!” as the Sydals hit DOUBLE METEORA! Cover, Nick breaks it! Nick scoops, Mike ducks but BASEMENT SUPERKICK! Matt Sydal avoids screw high kick and double superkicks to DOUBLE RANA! QUESTION MARK to Matt Jackson, then a ghost pin with leg hook! TWO!!! Fans say that was three but maybe more like 2.9!

Matt Sydal puts Matt Jackson up top but Nick attacks! Nick back suplexes, Sydal lands on his feet but Nick BOOTS him down! Nick hops up to join Matt but Sydal SUPER STEINERS Nick away! Sydal then gets Jackson, SUPER- NO! Jackson moves and Sydal crashes and burns on the top rope! Both Matts are down on the mat but fans fire up! Hot tag to Mike! Mike slingshots in, shoves Matt into Nick, then fires up. Matt does the splits! The ref is busy with Nick, Matt STRAIGHT RIGHT LOW BLOWS!! Matt plays shocked but the ref missed it anyway! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Matt Sydal, then a tag! Mike gets a B T E TRIGGER!! Cover, the Bucks win!

Winners: The Young Bucks, by pinfall

And with that, the Sydals DON’T get a title match! Brandon Cutler helps the Bucks ice down, but someone is speaking on the mic? Frankie Kazarian has the music stop as he and Christopher Daniels stand on stage! Kaz says if Matt has something to say, now’s the perfect time to keep it to yourself. There seems to be a lot of change, with these new Bucks having new attitudes and new questionable wardrobe decisions. But one thing that hasn’t changed is the promise Kaz made last December. The next time SCU loses as a tag team, they’d be done as a tag team. They stand here as the undefeated #1 contenders, and the biggest threat the Bucks have ever faced!

Daniels says right now, all he is is PISSED and FURIOUS! He wanted to wrestle his friends, but he doesn’t see his friends. He sees entitled, overdressed BITCHES! Daniels says this new attitude sucks, and instead of just beating their asses, maybe they’ll take what matters most to the Bucks in those titles. And as #1 contenders, they don’t have to wait. Once the Bucks find their balls, SCU will take those titles and make AEW a better company by taking these a-holes out of it! When it is all or nothing for The Addiction, will they survive as champions? Or will they be put down in their prime?

AEW hears from Jade Cargill.

“Over the past few weeks, every major manager here in AEW is looking to sign me,” but there’s one problem: they want a percentage of her money! They want a cut of Jade’s pie, and it doesn’t work that way. Jade is her own boss, makes her own money, and makes her own moves. They need to impress her before they sign her, because she is #ThatBitch!

Penta El Zero M w/ Alex Abrahantes VS Orange Cassidy w/ Trent!

The war of Death Triangle and Best Friends rages on, and now Cero Miedo looks to make Freshly Squeezed into Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice! But will having no fear mean nothing against a man who has no stress?

The bell rings, Penta fires up but Cassidy puts his hands up. Penta won’t let Cassidy put his hands in his pocket, then rubs Cero Miedo in Cassidy’s face. Cassidy sighs, puts his hands up, but Penta still won’t let him have his way. Penta says it slower this time: CERO… MIEDO! Cassidy still raises his hands, but Penta stops him again! Penta takes off his glove with extra drama this time, and then tosses it to Alex! Penta then makes sure Cassidy listens, Cero Miedo and a real stiff pie face! Cassidy takes off the sunglasses, and tosses them to Trent, but Trent misses. Trent plays it off by staying put. Cassidy gets his hands in his pockets! And he unleashes the sloth kicks! Penta goes to kick but Cassidy dodges!

Cassidy actually speeds things up, dodges and no-hands arm-drags?! Then hurdles, to roll and monkey flip Penta! Cassidy hits a no-hand kip up! Cassidy then uses his hands to get Penta up but Penta fights off Beach Break! Penta wants the package but Cassidy gets free, only to run into a tilt-o-whirl BACKBREAKER! Penta taunts Trent, gets Cassidy up and KICKS his leg! Penta throws forearms in the corner, whips corner to corner, but Cassidy reverses. Cassidy runs in, goes up but gets caught to an Electric Chair, only to spin and arm-drag Penta! And then poses with him with a thumbs up! Penta BITES the thumb! Cassidy ghost pins, TWO!!

Penta and Cassidy reset and Penta gets out. Cassidy WRECKS him with a dropkick, then DIVES, but into a trophy lift! Penta holds Cassidy up with one arm! And then TOSSES him to the apron! Trent checks on Cassidy as AEW goes picture in picture.

Penta watches Cassidy slowly get up, and he KICKS his leg out! Cassidy writhes and clutches the leg but Penta says the kick is good. Penta drags Cassidy up and puts him in the ring, then stalks him. Penta digs his knee into Cassidy’s back and pulls on the arms for a motorcycle stretch. Cassidy endures, Penta gets him up and whips him to SUPERKICK him down! Penta taunts Trent, goes back to Cassidy, and stomps him in the stomach! Penta dares Trent to do something, then he chokes Cassidy on the ropes! Cassidy endures, the ref counts, Penta lets off at 4 and Alex talks trash. Cassidy sputters and coughs, Trent coaches him up, but Penta gets Cassidy up.

Penta has everyone calm down a moment, and he CHOPS Cassidy! Penta stalks Cassidy, toys with him, then gets his leg on the ropes to KICK it! Cassidy writhes again as he clutches the leg. Penta goes to the apron and stomps away on the leg! Cassidy gets in, Penta stalks him, and Penta swaggers about as Cassidy gets up, just to KICK the leg out again! Penta is having fun now as AEW returns to single picture. Penta stands Cassidy up to whip him corner to corner, then runs in to GAMANGIRI! Penta taunts Trent, gets Cassidy up and whips him the other way. Penta runs in to GAMANGIRI again! Fans rally and duel as Penta gets Cassidy up again.

Cassidy bounces off the cover but he keeps moving, tilt-o-whirl but Penta blocks the DDT! Penta suplexes Cassidy to a BRAINBUSTER! Cover, TWO! Fans rally and duel, “CERO MIEDO!” “FRESHLY SQUEEZED!” as Penta stalks Cassidy. Penta drags Cassidy up, SLAPS him, but Cassidy fires off haymakers and body shots! Penta shoves, Cassidy jumps but into the pump handle PACKAGE DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives but Penta is going to make him pay for it now!

Penta hammerlocks one arm, grabs the other, but Cassidy reaches for his pocket! Penta brings it back, Cassidy brings it down, and Cassidy gets the hand in his pocket! Penta stomps away in frustration but Cassidy gets away. SUPERKICK from Cassidy, SUPERKICK from Penta! Cassidy runs in, but into a SUPERKICK! Cassidy stays up, grits his teeth, and runs, into another SUPERKICK! Penta reels Cassidy in, for a DESTROYER!! And then the package- BEACH BREAK!!! Cover, TWO!?! Penta’s shoulder barely comes up but it’s enough! “This is Awesome!” as Penta and Cassidy reset. Penta stalks Cassidy, Cassidy senses him approaching, and the two stare down.

Cassidy punches but Penta KICKS and CHOPS and KICKS! Penta fires off in a corner, the ref counts, Penta lets up at 4 to run side to side, SUPERKICK!! Cassidy is a lump in the corner but Penta drags him back up. Penta says this is over, and he suplexes, STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE! Cassidy counters outta nowhere, and gets up top again! Cassidy leaps, DEEP IMPACT!! Penta wobbles, Cassidy runs, tilt-o-whirl and lots of revolutions, DDT!! Cover, TWO?!?! Alex has a mic to “excuse” himself. Alex wants us to know that if you thought what Penta said about Trent’s Mom last week was bad, you should’ve heard what he said about Cassidy!

Cassidy grabs Alex and TOSSES him into the ring! Alex begs for mercy, but Penta is up and he mule kicks! Penta reels Cassidy in, tucks him in, but Cassidy slips out! Trent gets the mic to Cassidy, ORANGE MIC PUNCH!! Cover, Trent drags Alex away, Cassidy wins!!

Winner: Orange Cassidy, by pinfall

Alex might’ve stuck his foot into his mouth as he and Penta pay for what they pulled off last week! But this war is far from over, what will it take to truly settle things between Best Friends and Death Triangle?

Tony Schiavone interviews Britt Baker.

The Doctor is now the #1 contender to the AEW Women’s World Championship, and she’s so happy! What did she tell us? Does she ever lie? No! She said she was going to work her way up, and look what we have here! The Doctor is at the top of the food chain, not just in merchandise sales, demographic scores and bonafide star power, but she is at the top of the “respected and logical” wins-loss rankings! When it comes to the current AEW Women’s World Champion, we’re going to be reminded why Britt is the Face of the Women’s Division! “Yours truly, the number ONE contender, Dr. Britt Baker, DMD.” But will winning the title be as easy as climbing the rankings?

Tony Schiavone presides over the Blood & Guts Parley!

Next week, we will have the ultimate battle in the ultimate battleground of two rings and two cages as the two top factions in AEW wage war! Tonight, we learn which team will have the advantage in that match. Introducing first: The Pinnacle! MJF, Tully Blanchard, FTR, Shawn Spears and Wardlow are accompanied by extra security as they go to the ring. Fans taunt them with, “Pineapple! Pineapple!” And then, the Inner Circle! Their extra security? A motorcycle club! The fans sing Judas for Jericho as he, Sammy Guevara, Jake Hager, Santana and Ortiz step into the ring and stare down the Pinnacle.

Schiavone begins this face-off by explaining the rules of the Blood & Guts match. There will first be a five minute period where it will be 1v1. Then every two minutes, teams will alternate as they send in another teammate, until all 10 are in the ring. Then and only then can the match end, by only submission or surrender. This parley is to determine which team has the advantage, aka sending their members in first. It will be via coin toss, but Shawn Spears snatches the mic away?! Spears says it won’t be a coin toss! The Pinnacle should get the advantage by default for being “lured” into this match. Advantage: Pinnacle.

And in return, Spears offers a warning: “This doesn’t end well for you boys. You’re looking at five men who are willing to bleed and sacrifice everything for each other! I look across this ring and I do not see the same.” When the hell was the last time Sammy even wrestled a match! Is he even ready for this? Jericho is leading you into very, very deep waters. In one week, Spears will be the guy stepping on Sammy’s head while he’s drowning. Sammy snatches the mic and fans cheer him on as he responds, “Spears, I don’t believe you. And simply, why should I?” Ever since Spears got here, he’s been a failure! The more Sammy thinks about it, the more he realizes Spears was a failure where he used to work, too!

The thing is, the Pinnacle needs to know, on May 5th, Spears will fail again. Because whether it’s 1v1, 2v1, 3v1, all of them at once, it won’t matter! Sammy will let them have the advantage and even be the first man up so he can be the one to whoop all of them! Sammy will start with the guy who serves the popcorn! He’ll fight everyone! Well if that’s the case, then it is agreed! The Pinnacle “wins” the parley, and has the advantage in Blood & Guts!

But the discussion continues, as Cash Wheeler asks Santana & Ortiz to their face, with all honesty, “Please, please do not bring this version of Santana & Ortiz.” Blood & Guts is not the match to bring “these soft, complacent, Jericho lapdogs” that they’ve been the last two years! Cash promises that with every ounce of his being, if they bring that Santana & Ortiz, they won’t make it out. Dax Harwood says next week is almost a guarantee that someone’s career, or even someone’s life, will be shortened. Dax has prepared himself and his family for that. But when the door shuts and he’s staring every single one of them down, “You’re in MY world now, and I ain’t afraid to die!”

Dax tells Ortiz that he has a son at home, and Santana has a baby girl. But that Tuesday, before they leave home to come to Daily’s Place for Blood & Guts, they better hold their kids close and whisper in their ears a message from “Uncle Dax: Daddy ain’t coming back home.” Ortiz tells Santana to calm down, they know what FTR is trying to do. Santana takes a breath, and takes his turn on the mic. “Seven days, boys. Y’all gonna be locked in a cage with us! Y’all haven’t been locked up? Because we have. May 5th, I’mma let my hands do the talking!”

MJF speaks up and says this is a parley, so act like gentlemen. And as a gentleman, MJF wants to say something to Jericho. “Thank you.” Yes, and Jericho has been waiting for that a long time, right? We all know he’s wanted to hear those words from everyone since the inception of AEW, and Jericho has every right to feel that way. Without Jericho, there is no AEW. Jericho was the top guy, the draw, the bridge for every lapsed fan to come over here and check out AEW, and he managed to create the best group in pro-wrestling, The Inner Circle. MJF gives credit where credit is due. He even lets fans chant for Inner Circle.

However, MJF can’t imagine the pressure Jericho must feel. Let’s face it: Every time Jericho comes out here, if he hits anything less than a home run is him taking food out of the mouths of every other person in the company. Jericho puts the company every single time he comes out here! MJF can’t imagine the level of paranoia, stress and restless nights. We see it every night in those bloodshot eyes! Jericho looks exhausted! “Guess it’s true what they say, ‘Heavy lies the crown,'” but MJF says Jericho doesn’t have to worry anymore. After Blood & Guts, MJF will do the humane thing and take that “heavy, heavy burden of a crown” off Jericho to put it atop his head, so that his FAMILY replaces the Inner Circle at the top of AEW!

But don’t get it twisted, now. MJF appreciates everything Jericho’s done for AEW. That is why when it is all said and done, and MJF looks down at the scarred up, mangled body of Jericho, MJF will again say, “Thank you.” Jericho’s spot will be MJF’s! Jericho responds with, “You self-righteous, self-gratifying little prick!” How dare MJF be so entitled to think he can have someone’s spot just because they want it! How dare he think he can just inherit someone’s spot like he inherited the trust fund mommy ‘n’ daddy made for him! Or maybe MJF thinks he can absorb ab spot through osmosis, or a Tetris game where MJF can just slide right in.

It doesn’t work that way! If MJF wants this spot, he has to EARN it! He mentioned last week about how at 25 years old, Jericho was curtain jerking in WCW. Yeah, he was, and he is damn proud of it! That is what led Jericho to where he is today! But what MJF didn’t mention is that at 25 years old, Jericho already headlined arenas around the world, such as Japan, Mexico and Germany, which is another reason why he’s here today! Those were where Jericho learned about respect and other life lessons, and built the reputation he has to be at the top today!

Fans are fired up as Jericho says, “If you want my spot, a good place to start earning it is by beating me and the Inner Circle at Blood & Guts. But you aren’t going to do that because we ARE Blood & Guts!” Jericho won’t let Tully cut into his promo, because if MJF wants to talk family, the Inner Circle IS a family! How long has MJF known his jerkoffs? Three MONTHS?! The Inner Circle has been a family in AEW since day ONE! Hager had Jericho’s back when he was threatened with assassination in Abu Dhabi in 2012! The “lapdogs” are a pack of wild animals that have torn and clawed their way here and Jericho owes them for that!

And Sammy, Jericho brought here personally but because of MJF, Sammy quit! That won’t happen again! MJF won’t get in the way of Inner Circle, he won’t beat them at Blood & Guts! They will never tap out, and you’d have to KILL them to make them surrender! And when that doesn’t happen, the Inner Circle will step on the Pinnacle like the crap they are, wipe them off their shoes, and then look down at the only SPOT they deserve! And to finish, if 1969 was the Summer of Love, 2021 will be the Summer of Violence and Pain! Next week, May 5th, Summer starts early!! The parley is over, but the war is still to come! Will Blood & Guts be the most fitting name a match has ever had?

Eddie Kingston heads to the ring!

Michael “MT” Nakazawa waits, but Kingston says no, he’s not doing this “sports entertainment” type crap! He isn’t doing this, so Kenny better show up. Kingston tells Nakazawa to get out and for Kenny to get in. The Elite walks out, Kingston wants payback for the broken ankle. Omega says Kingston doesn’t get how this works. The Elite are the ones mad at Kingston and need payback on him. “Do you think that if you ask for the champ, you get the champ? No!” So the “goons” are being sent after him first. And then Nakazawa SMACKS Kingston with his laptop! Get him, Nak! Nakazawa gets Kingston up but Kingston elbows the suplex off! Kingston hits an EXPLODER!

Omega keeps shouting for Nakazawa to get Kingston, but what he gets is a URAKEN back hand! Kingston’s even wearing Nakazawa’s headset in case Omega can’t hear him! Kingston gets Nakazawa’s chair, puts it around Nakazawa’s leg, and then gets a mic. “You either get into the ring, or I’m breaking your boy’s ankle!” Omega tries to calm Kingston down but Kingston’s serious! Omega says he understands the threat, and Nakazawa knew what he signed up for. And as a reminder, there’s more than one goon around here. Omega calls for Brandon Cutler, but Cutler is floundering already? Because MOXLEY attacks Omega! Seems Omega forgot Kingston has a friend, too!

Moxley throws Omega into the ring, Kingston throws hands, then Moxley puts on a SLEEPER! Omega fades and Callis panics! Kingston has a chair and he puts it around Omega’s fancy shoe and on his ankle! Omega is in a daze, Callis gets the mic and shouts at Kingston. Kingston says they either get a match with Omega or they break the golden boy’s ankle! Callis says they don’t want to do that but they really do! Callis says okay, they can get whatever they want! Mox, come here. Omega, stop moving! Mox, tell Callis what they want. They want a tag team match with Omega and “this little dipshit with the laptop,” and they want it ASAP!

Okay, okay, Callis promises! YES, they’ll get their match!! Then see you next week! Kingston and Moxley spare Omega and head out. Will the Mad King and the Maniac kick off Blood & Guts with some violence and pain of their own?

AEW is picture in picture as Sammy returns!

The Spanish God brings back his cue cards! “War does not determine who is right, only who is left. On May 5th, at Blood & Guts, I will start the CARNAGE! I will start the WAR! I will be the first man in that cage! And the first man… with Pinnacle BLOOD on his hands!” Sammy has the last word and promises to fire the first shot, but will he be the most pivotal part of the war between Inner Circle and Pinnacle?

Tony Schiavone interviews Taz backstage.

The leader of Team Taz wants to say that we just witnessed Brian Cage beat the #1 wrestler in the world, so that makes Team Taz number one! They have unfinished business with a certain someone, but he hasn’t seen Christian Cage around yet. Oh, here he is, walking in now! Well here’s the deal, Christian! Last week, “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs beat Christian’s ass from “pillar to post,” and one mistake cost him! Now Christian will have to deal with someone else in Team Taz! Christian says enough of the games. At one point in time, Taz was one of the baddest dudes, talking a big game and backing it up. He’d beat men down, make them tap out, and make it look easy.

Nowadays, Taz still talks tough, but the backing-it-up part… Not so much. So what did Taz do? He surrounded himself with the biggest and best prospects. And when those guys get the success we all know they’ll get, Taz can be there to bask in it with them, as if he did it himself, just to feed his own ego! Then he sees a guy like Christian, returning after a seven-year retirement, representing everything Taz wishes he could do. Taz wanted to come back but he didn’t, Christian has, and now Taz wants to leech off him! Christian won’t allow that to happen! Taz can send his team one by one, but Christian is fine with that. It isn’t win or lose, but win and learn.

Hobbs learned, and if Starks gets in the ring with Christian, he’ll learn something, too! It might be a bitter pill to swallow, but they’ll be better off for it! And maybe, before it’s too late, they’ll realize they’re all better off without Taz! Will Captain Charisma open Absolute’s eyes soon enough?

Kris Statlander w/ Orange Cassidy VS Penelope Ford w/ Kip Sabian!

The Galaxy’s Greatest Alien became an honorary Best Friend and helped them win Arcade Anarchy, but that didn’t sit well with Mrs. Superbad! Will Penelope get even with Statlander and move up the ranks at the same time?

The bell rings, she and Ford tie up and fire off hands! Ford KICKS, pie faces and runs, but into a SPINNING POWERSLAM! Fans fire up as Ford flounders up, and Kris trophy lifts to SLAM Ford down! Ford bails out, Kris pursues but Ford trips her and drags her to the apron. Ford spins Kris to ROCK her with a forearm! Ford then pushes Kris to a corner, and slingshots, but misses the knee drop! Kris builds speed but Ford moves, so Kris cartwheels out of the ring to BOOP her nose! Kris then fires off forearms, puts Ford in the ring, and gives a thumbs up to Cassidy! Kip shouts at Kris and that distracts her so Ford can BOOT her down! Ford slingshots again for the KNEE DROP!

Fans boo as Ford talks trash on Kris and dribbles her on the floor! Ford drags Kris up and whips her into railings as AEW goes picture in picture!

Ford CLUBS Kris on her back, kicks her around, but Kris kicks back. Ford returns to CLUB Kris on the back, and pushes her into the ring to push her around more. Ford drags Kris back up, kicks her in the face, then again! Kris clubs Ford, Ford BOOTS Kris! Ford scowls as she stalks Kris to a corner, then scrapes her face along the ropes! The ref counts, Ford chokes Kris and gets a kiss from Kip, then lets off at 4. Cassidy shrugs at what Mr. & Mrs. Superbad are even doing, but Ford turns Kris around to motorcycle HOTSHOT her into ropes! The ref reprimands but the damage is done. Ford CLUBS Kris down as AEW goes to break!

AEW returns and the forearms fly back and forth! Kris and Ford brawl to their feet, Ford gets the edge but Kris counters to an STO BACKBREAKER! Ford goes to a corner, Kris runs in and uppercuts! Kris whips Ford back in to uppercut again! And then side-to-side for the KNEE WASH! Kris carries Ford around for a BLUE THUNDER BOMB! Cover, TWO! Ford survives but Kris keeps her cool. Kris drags Ford up and runs, but Ford avoid the knee to GERMAN SUPLEX! Kris is in a daze as Ford gets her back up. Ford runs Kris to BULLDOG in the buckles! Ford then goes up top for a BLOCKBUSTER! It wasn’t the cleanest, but Ford covers, TWO!!

Fans rally up and Kip is upset about the count as Ford and Kris slowly rise. Cassidy paces, Ford handsprings corner to corner but Kris dodges! ROUNDHOUSE! Kip gets on the apron but Cassidy pulls him down. BIG BANG THEORY! Cover, Kris wins!

Winner: Kris Statlander, by pinfall

Freshly Squeezed makes sure the Galaxy’s Greatest Alien gets a fair shake, and she gets a big win! Kris boops Ford again before she heads out, but will she be headed to the top of the rankings soon enough?

AEW hears from Preston Vance.

“To be the one to bring the TNT title back to the Dark Order after someone like Brodie had it, that would mean the world to me. That would define my entire career.” Brodie influenced Vance from day one, and is the one who got hi his shot. Vance will never forget the day Brodie gave him a mask and said, “You are one of us.” The TNT Championship is THE title to Vance, because it represents Brodie Lee and the reason why Vance is here. Will Number 10 feel like number one against the Relentless Darby Allin?

Six Man Tag: The Nightmare Family VS The Factory!

Dustin Rhodes, Lee Johnson & Billy Gunn look to represent for Cody against the men who betrayed them! But in another act of defiant disrespect, QT Marshall, Aaron Solow, Nick Comoroto & Anthony Ogogo arrive in the Nightmare Express, the Rhodes Family bus! How did they have the keys for that?! Will the Natural lead Big Shotty & The Ass Man in tearing down the Gifted, the Extra Talented, and the Freak Beast?

In fact, the Nightmare Family doesn’t even care about the bell! They charge The Factory and start throwing hands! Ogogo gets clear as Gunn whips Solow into railing! Johnson fires off hands on QT while Dustin and Comoroto brawl! QT ROCKS Johnson, Gunn whips Solow into more railing, and the brawling goes around the sides! Fans boo the Factory but Comoroto covers, TWO!! Gunn reaches out but Comoroto waistlocks. Comoroto squeezes Gunn with a rear bearhug but Gunn endures. Gunn fights up, throws elbows, but Comoroto just squeezes tighter! Gunn throws haymakers and he ROCKS Comoroto with the bell clap! Comoroto runs at Gunn but is sent into buckles! Hot tag to Dustin! The Natural rallies on Comoroto but Comoroto stays on his feet! Dustin fires off uppercut after uppercut but the whip is blocked!

Comoroto whips, Dustin stops himself and ROCKS Comoroto with a Rhodes Uppercut! Dustin runs, ducks and dodges, but still gets CLOBBERED! Comoroto seethes, kicks Dustin out of the ring, and tags in QT as AEW goes picture in picture.

QT stalks Dustin, brings him around, and snap suplexes him to the floor! QT scowls as he looms over Dustin, then rains down rights. The ref reprimands and starts a ring count, but QT lets off to get Dustin up and in at 5 of 10. Tag to Solow, the Factory mugs Dustin, and Solow throws forearms. Solow ROCKS Dustin in the corner, CHOPS him, and brings him around to CLUB him down. Solow throws stomps, tags Comoroto, and Comoroto digs his knee in. Tag to QT, Comoroto whips him in to SPLASH Dustin! QT then feeds Dustin to Comoroto’s BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!! Gunn is there and QT backs way off! Tag to Solow, and he stomps Dustin down.

Solow gets Dustin up but Dustin fires off body shots and uppercuts! Solow shoves and spins for a SCREW HIGH KICK! Dustin staggers into a FISHERMAN BUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Dustin is still in this and Solow is losing his cool! Tag to QT, he and Solow get Dustin up and QT DECKS Dustin! QT stomps Dustin on the face, then drags him up, only for Dustin to throw uppercuts! Dustin runs, into a dropkick! QT covers, TWO!! AEW returns to single picture as QT seethes and fans rally for Dustin. QT mule kicks Gunn in the ribs! QT tells Johnson to “SUCK IT!” but he turns around into Dustin’s SPINNING POWERSLAM! Fans fire up as both men are down!

Dustin fires himself up and he gets up. He and QT crawl to their corners, hot tag to Johnson and Solow! Johnson dodges Solow to dropkick Comoroto! Then he comes back to rally on Solow with big lariats! Johnson blocks, elbows and NECKBREAKERS! Johnson kips up, fans fire up and Johnson runs at the corner to CHOP LARIAT Solow! Johnson whips, Solow reverses, but Johnson goes up and over to then bait Solow into a BLUE THUNDER BOMB!! Cover, Comoroto breaks it! Comoroto whips, Johnson holds ropes and dumps Comoroto out! QT kicks low, but Johnson tosses him out onto Comoroto! Johnson builds speed and FLIES! The tornillo tope takes QT down!

Comoroto gets in the ring and distracts the ref, Ogogo sucker punches Johnson with that liver quiver! Gunn comes around but Ogogo gets him with one of his own! Solow tags QT, QT covers Johnson, The Factory wins!

Winners: The Factory, by pinfall

The Factory works together well, especially when they had a fourth man in the fight! Comoroto isn’t done, either, as he CLOBBERS Dustin with the cowbell! Dustin is down, QT tells Cody that next week- Wait, Gunn Club comes out to avenge their father! Austin DECKS QT, Colten DECKS him, then Austin hits a THESZ PRESS! Austin fires off hands, then lets QT up just so Colten can dropkick him out of the ring! Solow and Comoroto attack the Gunn boys, and QT retreats to the stolen Nightmare Express! But look who is inside!! IT’S CODY!! He BOOTS QT and fires off hands!! Cody throws QT into the side of the bus, fires off more hands, and then throws him into the bus again!

Cody and QT brawl, QT rakes eyes, and he gets away! Wait, QT went up on top of the bus?! Cody pursues, and the brawl continues! Cody headlock punches QT until he stumbles, and then Cody gets the legs! A Figure Four leglock on top of the bus! QT taps but this isn’t a match, just a fight! Cody has avenged himself and the Nightmare Family, but this is far from over!

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!

Despite what was once advertised, “card subject to change.” Blood & Guts won’t be the only bit of violence and pain, as now, after what we just saw, Cody and QT will settle things 1v1 in the ring! But with The Factory allowed ringside, will the numbers game win out again? And on top of all that, the tag match of Kenny Omega & MT Nakazawa VS Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston is made official! Will all these grudges finally be settled on what will surely be the most violent night in AEW history?

Plus, Britt Baker looks to maintain her top spot in the AEW Women’s Division, and there will be a FATAL 4 WAY Tag Team Eliminator, pitting the top four teams against each other! Will SCU survive going against Jurassic Express, The Acclaimed and The Varsity Blondes in one match to get their shot at the Young Bucks?

And there’s more! For May 12th, it will be a special NJPW AEW crossover! Because whether Moxley wins or loses to Omega & Nakazawa next week, he will defend his IWGP United States Championship against Blue Justice, Yuji Nagata! Will Nagata take this title off Moxley and bring it back to Japan?

AEW Media catches up with Kip Sabian backstage.

“I have no idea why you guys think this is such a big deal, everything’s fine.” Kip meets with Miro! The Best Man throws things at Kip then throws Kip at the garage door! “WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!?!” Miro keeps throwing Kip around and shouts, “Are you trying to sabotage me?!” Miro uses the garage door chain to CHOKE Kip!! Miro then throws Kip into a locker! And another! And another! “Nobody’s gonna stop me!” Kip keeps trying to explain, but Miro says, “It’s time to pay your dues.” Miro puts Kip’s arm through a doorway, and SLAMS the door shut on it!! Kip writhes and clutches what could be a broken wrist, but Miro comforts Kip?! Miro forgives Kip?! Has the Best Man lost his mind?!

AEW TNT Championship: Darby Allin w/ Sting VS Preston Vance w/ The Dark Order!

To prove he is a fighting champion, the Relentless Face of the Network will not stop defending his title until he loses his title! Will tonight be that night when he goes up against the towering and inTENse young behemoth?

The introductions are made, the belt that means so much to so many is raised, and we see the future unfold in another massive main event!

Fans are fired up already as the two circle. They tie up, Vance powers Darby to ropes but lets off fast. Both men stare down and go forehead to forehead before they reset. Fans rally and duel, Darby and Vance tie up again, and Vance puts Darby in a corner, then on the top rope! The ref calls for a break and Vance lets off. Vance doesn’t let his eyes off Darby, and the two circle again. Darby calls for a test of strength, but then gets around to headlock. Vance powers up, Darby thrashes, but Vance powers up again. Darby lands out of the back suplex and headlocks again! Vance powers out, and runs Darby over! Darby flops out to the apron as the Dark Order fires up!

Vance has Darby up, suplexes him back up and holds him for a count of- No, Darby pries free at 7! And he pulls at the eyehole of the mask! Darby headlocks, Vance powers up and swings Darby around for a BACKBREAKER! Darby flounders to a corner as Vance makes sure his face is okay. Darby JABS Vance, but Vance shrugs it off! Vance whips Darby corner to corner hard, then gets him up to whip back the other way even harder! Darby kicks back, Vance yanks Darby up but Darby fights off the powerbomb! CHOP BLOCK to the bad leg! Darby throws down hands, lets off and climbs up, then leaps, but Vance POUNCES him out of the air!

Fans are rallying hard both ways as Vance gets Darby up. Darby claws Vance’s arm to get free as AEW goes picture in picture!

Darby runs but Vance ROCKS him! Darby flops against ropes then hits the mat while Vance shakes out his arms. Cover, TWO! Darby grits his teeth but Vance storms after him in a corner. Darby is not done yet, but Vance gets him up for a BIG back suplex! Cover, TWO!

Vance stalks Darby to ropes again, but Darby throws body shots and CHOPS! Vance CLUBS Darby, has him on the ropes again, and gets him up for a BIG forearm! Darby goes to a corner, Vance runs in and clotheslines! Vance looms over Darby, drags him up, but Darby hits back! Vance BOOTS Darby down! Vance catches his breath while Darby leans against ropes. Vance drags Darby up again, but Darby clubs Vance’s wrists! Vance kicks Darby to ropes as AEW returns to single picture. The Dark Order coaches Vance, he whips and trophy lifts, but Darby flails to make it a CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO!! Darby BOOTS from a corner, runs at Vance but into the SPINEBUSTER!

Vance is fired up, as are the other Dark Order members! Vance tries to dead lift Darby, but the bad arm bothers him. So he just uses one arm for a POWERBOMB!! Cover, TWO!! Vance grows a bit frustrated but he drags Darby back up. Vance reels Darby in but Darby wrenches free again! Darby gets around for the THROWBACK STUNNER! Darby drags Vance down for a FUJIWARA! Darby bends Vance’s fingers back while pulling the arm, but Vance fights up to back suplex! Darby lands on his feet, wrenches and wrings Vance out to get the Fujiwara again! Vance endures the joint manipulation, manages to drag himself over and gets the ropebreak with the free arm.

Darby stomps the bad arm and Vance writhes on the apron! Darby pursues Vance outside, but Vance RAMS him into railing! And RAMS him into the apron! Sting keeps his distance as Vance puts Darby in. Vance stares Sting down before going around the way. Vance climbs the corner, but Darby catches him first! Darby stands on the hand, stomps it against the crossbar, then kicks Vance down! Vance regroups with Alan Angels, but Darby DIVES onto them both! The rest of the Dark Order hurries over, but they just want to check on Angels and Vance. Sting backs them off, but they get Angels away to their side of the ring.

Darby gets up slowly, but the ref is too busy with Sting! Ethan Page POSTS Darby!! Ethan puts Darby in the ring and blows a kiss, and the only ones who missed it were the ref and Vance! Vance gets in the ring, wonders what happened, but he doesn’t let it get past him! Wheelbarrow STUNGUN GERMAN!! Cover, TWO!!! Darby survives and shocks everyone! Vance keeps his cool as he waits for Darby to get up. Vance locks on half a nelson but Darby fights free! Darby body scissors and rips at the mask!! Then he SLAPS away on Vance! Darby shoves, runs, springboards, but into the FULL NELSON!

Darby tries to break free with help from his leg, but Vance thrashes him around! Darby hangs in there, uses the corner to push back to a cover, DARBY WINS!!

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (still AEW TNT Champion)

Despite All Ego trying to screw Darby over, he finds a way to win again! Nine successful and consecutive defenses means Darby is setting a new record for this workhorse title! Vance shows respect by helping Darby up, and Darby shows respect by showing the Brodie Lee tribute armband off to the cameras. But Ethan is back! Darby chases him off, and SCORPIO SKY blindsides Sting! Ethan & Scorpio stomp away on Sting and Darby! Scorpio stomps away on Sting’s legs, Ethan helps out, and Scorpio puts on the KNEEBAR OF THE REVOLUTION! Ethan makes Darby watch Sting tap out to Scorpio’s hold!

But here comes Lance Archer and Preston Vance! They chase Scorpio & Ethan off, but the damage has been done! Will anyone teach Ethan & Scorpio a thing about respect? Or will they disrespectfully devastate every division in AEW?

My Thoughts:

This was another awesome episode here. First off, Hangman VS Cage was a great opener, and I did NOT expect Cage to win! That might actually be another part of the brilliant pacing for Hangman in AEW. A loss at this point could bring Hangman down a few spots, so he’d have to take time to build back up to face Omega. This could be how AEW paces it out so Hangman faces Omega at All Out 2021 and uses that anniversary of the inaugural title match for Hangman’s crowning achievement. Christian and Taz had a very good segment together, too, and this is a good way to set up the series of Christian VS Team Taz, rightfully culminating in Christian Cage VS Brian Cage, maybe IN a cage? CAGECEPTION!!

We got a good and certainly very interesting promo from The Elite. I do like that they’re scared of any and all car horns now because of what Moxley & Kingston did. The Bucks VS The Sydals was a great match, but of course the Bucks win. SCU has a good promo, but as I was saying for Dark classic last night, I just didn’t feel the drama of how SCU has been undefeated since their self-challenge. Now, the Fatal 4 Way of the top teams is a great move to turn up the heat in a short amount of time, but we still should’ve gotten a long string of matches that get more and more intense and competitive, so that SCU at #1 VS Jurassic Express at #2 is this barn burner that SCU manages to win so that they are absolutely red hot going into a match with The Bucks.

Kingston not wanting to play along with a “sports entertainer” (aka WWE) move was very appropriate. Him and Moxley threatening Omega’s leg was a good way of getting their way, but you can bet Nakazawa takes the loss in next week’s tag match. Moxley VS Nagata the week after is going to be solid stuff, and on one hand, being on TNT means more people are likely to watch it than if this was on NJPW Strong, which is only available through the New Japan World streaming service. And on the other, Omega can definitely screw Moxley over so that Nagata gets the title and brings it back to NJPW prime programming. I just don’t know where this is going for Moxley & Kingston, as Moxley’s had his matches with Omega for the AEW title and I don’t see them throwing another one in the mix.

We got a very good match out of Penta VS Cassidy, even with Abrahantes and Trent getting involved. Rey Fenix beat Chuck Taylor on Elevation, Penta beat Trent last Dynamite and Cassidy beats Penta tonight, I hope we can get PAC in on this so that we get all the round robin combinations possible before that eventual Six Man Tag blow-off. Statlander and Ford had their own solid match, but it makes sense for Statlander to win since she’s the one returning and needs to build up strength again in the rankings to match where she was before her absence. Even before Kip jinxed himself with saying it’d be fine, I knew Miro was going to mangle him. Miro should definitely use this as his way to move on from Kip and vice-versa.

We got a very good Six Man Tag out of Nightmare Family VS The Factory, and of course The Factory wins that one. However, I’m a bit disappointed Cody made his return tonight. We should’ve gotten more out of Dustin VS QT before getting to Cody VS QT, but I guess Cody couldn’t help but book himself for what will surely be one of the biggest nights Dynamite has ever had with Blood & Guts. And speaking of B&G, that parley was a great segment with some great promos from both sides, but just saying Pinnacle gets advantage is a bit underwhelming, especially coming from AEW. You have Elevation, why not make it matter by putting the advantage match on there?

We got a good vignette for Preston Vance, and an awesome main event for the TNT Championship. Darby going after the mask only made him out to be a jerk, because Vance isn’t a luchador, that mask is about being in the Dark Order and Brodie seeing his potential. To be honest, Darby could’ve ripped that thing half off and Vance could’ve still fought him without being bothered by it. I should’ve figured Ethan Page would interfere, but it didn’t affect the outcome, and I’m not sure how to feel about that. Is Darby’s power level too high now? Ethan and Scorpio attacking after the match made sense, though, as did Archer helping run them off. I wonder if we get Ethan & Scorpio VS Archer & Vance before Ethan & Scorpio VS Darby & Sting.

My Score: 9.4/10

The Samoan Submission Machine made his return with Homecoming last week, and he easily put The Patriarchy’s Prodigy in his place! But now, he and the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil look to manhandle both of Christian Cage’s “sons.” Will Nick & Kip pay for the sins of their father figure?

The teams sort out and Hook starts against Nick. The bell rings, the fans rally behind “HOOK! HOOK!” while he and Nick circle. They tie up, are in a deadlock, but Nick uses his height for leverage. Nick puts Hook in a corner, scuffs him with forearms to the face, then eggs Hook on. The fans boo but Hook stays cool. Hook and Nick reset, tie up, and Hook wrenches to a hammerlock. Hook headlocks, hammerlocks, headlocks again, and hits the takeover! Nick keeps his shoulders up, rolls Hook away, then kicks low. Nick headlocks back but Hook powers up and out. Nick runs Hook over, then flexes. The fans boo but Nick drags Hook up.

Hook gets under Nick to hit an EXPLODER! Tag to Joe and the fans fire up! Joe grins as he brings Nick up, but Nick scrambles away! Tag to Kip and Mr. Superbad eggs Joe on. They tie up, Joe powers Kip to a corner, but the ref has to back him up. Kip gets a sucker punch in! Kip fires off, then whips, but Joe reverses. Joe runs in, Kip slips out to then GAMANGIRI! Kip springboards, trips up a bit, but Joe still casually steps aside for Kip to belly flop. Joe then SENTONS! Kip sputters, Joe drags him up and bumps him off buckles. Tag to Hook, and Joe whips Kip to a corner. Hook runs in to CLOBBER Kip! Joe adds a BACK ELBOW, then PELE!

The fans fire up, Christian is upset, but Hook covers, TWO! Hook drags Kip up, clinches, but Kip fires elbows. Kip spins things around to whip Hook, and Nick gets a shot in! The ref reprimands, Hook takes a swing, but Nick runs away. Kip runs up but Hook fires fists first! Hook runs, but Nick trip shim up! The ref reprimands but Kip hauls Hook up, FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, but Joe distracts the ref! The fans cheer but The Patriarchy is upset! Turnabout is fair play, though. Kip puts Hook in a corner, stomps him, then tags Nick. Nick stomps Hook, digs his knee in, but steps off as the ref counts.

Nick argues with the ref, talks trash on Joe, and that lets Kip CHOKE Hook! The fans boo, Nick gets a shot in, but then the ref reprimands. Kip claims he was stretching his legs! Nick snapmares Hook for a LEG DROP! Cover, TWO! Hook is still in this but Nick is still cocky. Nick taunts Hook to go reach for Hook, then he whips Hook to the corner. Hook slumps down, Nick tags Kip, and The Patriarchy boys mug Hook. Kip fires a forearm, then brings Hook out to scoop and SLAM! Kip flexes, the fans boo, but Hook crawls. Kip kicks Hook, brings him over to the corner, then tags in Nick. They mug Hook some more, then snapmares Hook to rain down fists!

Nick clamps onto Hook with a seated Cobra Twist! The fans rally up while Hook endures, and Hook slips his arms free. Hook fires body shots, then runs, but Nick ELBOWS him down! The fans boo but Nick taunts Joe. Cover, TWO! Hook is tougher than that, but Nick stands him up for haymakers. Nick tags Kip, they mug Hook even more, and the fans boo. Kip brings Hook around to snapmare and chinlock. Hook endures again as Kip thrashes Hook around. The fans rally, Hook fights up, but Nick tags in. The Patriarchy continues to mug Hook, then Kip tags back in. But Hook fires body shots on them both!

Kip kicks low, he and Nick double whip, atomic drop and UPPERCUT! Cover, TWO! Nick keeps Hook down, brings him up, and whips him to the corner. Nick runs in and UPPERCUTS, then tag to Kip! Kip taunts Joe, runs in at Hook, CANNONBALL! Tag back to Nick and they hook Kip, DOUBLE FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Cover, TWO! Hook survives and Nick grows frustrated. Joe coaches Hook up, the fans rally, but Nick kicks and stomps Hook around. Nick brings Hook up, but Hook clinches! TAZ PLEX!! The fans fire up while both men are down! Hook and Nick crawl, hot tags to Kip and Joe! The fans fire up as Joe rallies with elbows and forearms!

Joe TOSSES Nick out, then CHOPS away on Kip! Joe whips Kip corner to corner, runs in, but Kip dodges! Kip returns, but into the URENAGE! Joe hauls Kip back up, puts him on the top rope, and then tucks him in! The fans fire up for the MUSCLE BUSTER! Cover, Joe & Hook win!

Winners: Samoa Joe & Hook, by pinfall

And with that, this duo stays undefeated! But then Christian & Nick attack from behind! Christian even uses the Casino Gauntlet contract clipboard to beat Joe down! Then they mug Hook! Christian puts Joe’s head against the metal folder, and then STOMPS him on it!! The fans boo as Christian holds up the even-further dented folder up in his hands. Will no one stop The Patriarchy from becoming the reigning, defending, undisputed next AEW World Champion?

Adam Copeland speaks.

“So what’s your plan, Moxley? I don’t know. Our audience doesn’t know. Everyone seems to be confused. Hell, I don’t think you know. I think you’re one of those guys who just likes to shout at clouds and look around and blame everyone else. You’re a malcontent. I’ve met a lot of malcontents over the years and they all annoy me. Because they bitch and whine and moan and piss and complain about how this needs change, that needs change. But they refuse to look in the mirror and realize they’re the recurring theme. So Moxley, can you do that? Can you do that, kid? Can you look in a mirror and realize you’re the one that always seems to be here?

“You took the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, you hid it in a briefcase, while we started streaming on a new network. Rocket science, pal. Great idea. Let’s keep doing that. You call me a relic, and here’s the thing, even when I was a young gun, I always respected the generation before me, because I knew that generation before me busted their ass, rode up and down the road, spent time away from their family, battled through injury. Guys like Harley Race, Roddy Piper, Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, who you Con-chair-to’d last week. Those guys worked that hard to make it better for guys like me.

“And while I was wrestling 200 times a year, every year, and you were wrestling in backyards with purple hair, watching everything I did, guess what? Me and many like me made it better for your generation. MY generation did that! Guaranteed contracts, less dates? That’s because of US! But you don’t respect it because you’re entitled. So here’s the thing, Mox. That AEW World Heavyweight Championship, it is the most important thing in this industry, and you wanna hide it away? That’s gonna change. Cuz I’m gonna beat you up. I’m gonna hurt you.

“When you’re a relic getting out of bed at 65 and you can barely, barely make it out, and your daughter looks up and you and asks, ‘Dad, what’s wrong?’ It’s gonna be because of me. So here it is, Moxley. For the first time ever, one on one, March 9th, Los Angeles, Revolution! Cope VS Mox for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship! Step up and accept, kid.” The challenge has been made, is Revolution about to be Rated R?

The Beast Mortos VS Adam Priest!

The menacing minotaur has been putting in the hard work, chasing after gold but is still just outside the picture. Will this be the night Mortos makes it out of the labyrinth and to the mountaintop? Or will he be exorcised by Alabama’s Priest?

The bell rings, Mortos runs right up and runs Priest right over! Then runs him over again! Then SMACKS him to a corner! Mortos whips Priest to a corner but Priest BOOTS in return! Priest CHOPS and fires forearms on repeat! But Mortos grabs him with both hands, whips him to ropes, then POP-UP SAMOAN DROPS him! The fans fire up with Mortos, then he DISCUS LARIATS! Mortos isn’t done, he pump handles and PILEDRIVERS!! Cover, Mortos wins!

Winner: The Beast Mortos, by pinfall

Fast and furious, Mortos sent Priest to #DestinationHellHole! Will Mortos’ next destination be- Wait, what? Max Caster is making his entrance? New theme song now that he’s no longer Acclaimed, Platinum Max is ruining Mortos’ time to shine. Caster has a mic to tell Huntsville that they are lookin’ live at the Best Wrestler Alive! Caster wants Mortos to calm down. Mortos did a great job just now! But he would never stand a chance against the Best Wrestler Alive, Platinum Max! So he will show us how it’s done. This is the first match in his Open Challenge series, but no no no, he doesn’t want to fight Mortos.

Caster doesn’t know who’s gonna walk out here, who he’s gonna beat today, but we find out one thing: We find who can survive the Best Wrestler Alive! Now get out of HIS ring! Mortos stands down, and Caster brings in his Louis Vuitton bag. Wait, RUSH is here!? La Faccion Ingoberable is reunited as a former ROH World Champion accepts the challenge! Is Platinum Max about to end up black ‘n’ blue at the hands of El Toro Blanco?

Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge: Max Caster VS Rush w/ Dralistico!

The bell rings and the fans rally for Rush. Caster is wary, but he wants to show respect with an Ingobernable fist bump. Rush says nope! He rushes up, Caster dodges, but Rush comes back with a SUPERMAN FOREARM! Rush then CHOPS Caster, stomps away in the corner, then stands on Caster’s shoulders! The ref counts, Rush drags Caster up to whip him corner to corner and SPLASH! Rush sits Caster down again to stomp away! Rush scuffs Caster, runs corner to corner, then “If you mess with the bull… YOU GET THE HORNS!” BULL’S HORNS!! Cover, Rush wins!

Winner: Rush, by pinfall

Best Wrestler Alive? Caster may want to rethink that nickname. LFI stands tall together, and Rush grabs a mic to say cut the music! And Huntsville, be quiet, because El Toro Blanco has arrived, perros! MORTOS! What’s up with him? This is all he’s done while Rush has been away?! Remember, they are familia! Remember that when you mess with the bull, you get the horns! No, no, Huntsville, louder! If you mess with the bull, YOU GET THE HORNS!! Rush y Dralistico want Mortos to get even more dangerous, will LFI soon stampede all over AEW?

Backstage interview with The Outrunners.

Lexy Nair is with Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd and notes we are just moments away from seeing them face The Learning Tree. Jericho has vowed vengeance on them after that defeat in Maximum Carnage’s 12 Man Tag. Truth says it is time for the whole truth and nothing but the truth! Because the truth is, Jericho, you’ve been running your mouth, campaigning for an ass whooping! Guess what? The votes are in, and Jericho’s about to get elected! Turbo says you know what they say about revenge! If you’re looking for it, you might as well dig two graves! And as Turbo sees it, it is as easy as this: A B C, 1-2-3, Outrunners on top! Learning Tree taking the Total Recall!

But before we get there, there is one wrong I would like to right.” The Sussex County Chicken says he came out of 2024 “on fire, baby. Got three wins in the Continental Classic, one of those being Kyle Fletcher.” Kyle says if not for that fluke, he would’ve been undefeated in Blue League! Mark says all he’s hearing is that it was a fluke. Kyle says if there were no time limit or points on the line, that victory would never have happened. Lexy is now with The Rainmaker, and says after his AEW Homecoming victory against Komander, what is next for the Continental Champion? Okada thinks, but Buddy Matthews laughs as he walks over. Okada asks what’s so funny, and Buddy says what’s funny is that Okada calls himself a champion when he is too afraid to defend that title. As Okada can see, there’s no Brody King or Julia Hart here, so they can settle their issue right now. Okada laughs now, and says nope. Buddy doesn’t deserve it! Buddy knew Okada would say that. So then, Okada’s still a b*tch. Buddy leaves, Okada again says, “I NO B*TCH!” Okada sees Lexy is still here, and reiterates, “I no b*tch…”

Exclusive interview with Ricochet.

Renee Paquette sits down with The One & Only, as promised on Dynamite. She brings up how, many times now, he has said there are a lot of things he wants to get off his chest. This is the formal setting he wanted, so what is going on? Ricochet says for the past five YEARS, all he has heard from fans all over the world is that AEW is where Ricochet should be. AEW is where the best wrestle, and this is where Ricochet belongs. Honestly, he heard all of that, saw all the stuff online, and he agreed! He also felt AEW is where he belonged. But he sat back and watched from afar, silently, as he saw the guys he traveled the world with go on to do amazing things here.

Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, The Young Bucks, and even Swerve Strickland. Ricochet knew this is the place to be, the fans agreed. But then what happened? What happened the moment Ricochet got here? All those same fans that lit up his Twitter and Instagram with messages about how he belonged here, they turned their backs on him! Ricochet is THE most innovative wrestler on this planet, and they told him otherwise! He beat their “white knight,” Will Ospreay clean in the middle of the ring. What happened? The fans showered him with toilet paper!

And then on top of that, Swerve, a man Ricochet’s known for 15 years, never seen eye to eye with, a man who was champion the day Ricochet signed here, thought it was cute to mock Ricochet and join in with the mocking. Look what happened to him. Swerve calls himself a man of the people, and that’s fine. Because that is what Ricochet saw when he drove the scissors into the middle of Swerve’s forehead. That attack wasn’t just for Swerve. That was for everybody! Everyone who stood behind Swerve, who sat in the audience, thinking it was okay to mock and embarrass Ricochet! That won’t happen anymore!

Wait! Swerve is here! Swerve says he could end Ricochet’s whole life right now, but he’d be upsetting a lot of people in Atlanta. Swerve tells Renee he can take it from here. Renee excuses herself, and Swerve sits down with Ricochet. If “Trevor” wants to talk, let’s talk! Ricochet is right. Swerve, Ricochet, they don’t see eye to eye. Never have, probably never will. This goes all the way back to Lucha Underground and CZW. In fact, Swerve will never forget the day Ricochet announced he was a free agent. Swerve said not to bring Trevor Mann here. Because AEW has a special gift at exposing people for who they are and what they’re all about.

Ricochet pretended to be a superhero to the people, and they rejected him for it. Swerve was openly the villain, and he go tall the respect for it. In less than a week, in Atlanta, Georgia, Swerve shows Ricochet that there are levels to this. This isn’t gonna be an athletic exhibition or a showcase of innovators. It will be a fight, and Ricochet cannot win in a fight against AEW’s most dangerous man. Ricochet says Swerve is right: Ricochet isn’t good at pretending. Ricochet isn’t good at acting or “cutting a promo” on something he doesn’t believe in, and yeah, the fans could see that every single time that Ricochet pretended to give a damn about what they thought.

Because to be honest, Ricochet never has, and never will. Swerve says he’s the most dangerous man, but ever since Hangman snatched his grill, Ricochet’s not felt a single thing from Swerve. Swerve gets right up in Ricochet’s face, holding Ricochet’s own golden scissors! But Ricochet just stands up in return. Swerve says he’ll see Ricochet in Atlanta. Swerve backs off, will these two burn it down in Hotlanta?

Toni Storm is here!

The fans cheer as Timeless Toni appears on stage, mic in hand. “Behold! I am Timeless Toni Storm. And I’m here to make a confession. For the last six weeks, I have been playing the role of Toni Storm. I know. I know. But the young girl in the red shorts, that was actually me. And I know that none of you realized this, because by GAWD I’m good! But you all bore witness to my metamorphosis! Thank you, thank you. But I didn’t do this for you. I did this for myself. You see, when Mariah May broke my heart, and took everything, I was so embarrassed and so ashamed, that I had to run away from myself.

“And then I realized that the only way out was through the fire. So I rebuilt myself from the ground up, just to look you in the eye. And you know what I saw? Everything I needed to see. Mariah May, you **** faced fraud. You shambolic b*tch!! I’m going to doom your bloody womb. You don’t think I’m real? Darling, it doesn’t get much realer than me! For I am Timeless, TIMELESS, Toni Storm! And your time is OVER!” The fans cheer and Toni takes a bow. We have but two weeks left, is Australia ready? Is AEW ready? Is the WORLD ready for the sequel we never thought we’d get?

Backstage interview with Harley Cameron.

Renee is now with the wild Aussie and brings up how Harley claims Mercedes Mone wanted to speak with her, but Renee was sure Mone isn’t here. They still knock on her dressing room door, but Harley says oh but she IS here! Harley brings out a Mercedes Mone MUPPET?! “Say hello to your C E O!” Harley’s ventriloquism is on display as she has Muppet Mone tell her that she’s had a change of heart. She has? Yes! She wants to wrestle Harley. Really? Yes! And in Australia~! Harley asks if Muppet Mone is sure, and Muppet Mone says yes! Absolutely sure? Yes! She wants to FEEL THE WRATH? Yes, she wants to Feel the Wrath.

Oh! Then yes, absolutely! And now that they’re friends, Harley can probably do something like… use her locker room? Sure! And help herself to whatever is in there? Yes, the coffee, the exotic fruit, all hers. And Mone’s assistant? Now they’re Harley’s assistant! Then let’s do the dance! C E O! C E O! But then the real Mercedes Mone walks in. Mone says this is so… cute! Harley is so entertaining! Now Mone sees why everyone loves her. But what she also sees is that behind this, behind the song ‘n’ dance, Harley is just hiding the fact she’s a loser. And losers don’t get to ride the Money Train. Now begone! Get away! She has things to do!

Mone steps into her locker room, and Muppet Mone is sad. Harley tells her chin up. But with just two weeks left, how can Harley convince Mone to give her that title shot?

Moxley tells Marina to keep on Cash, and she CLAWS Cash’s face! Dax returns to throw hands with Moxley, but Moxley pokes Dax in the face with the pliers! Yuta goes after Chas, Moxley digs the hammer into Dax’s forehead and eyes! Yuta SLAMS the ladder down on Cash’s back! Dax fights back on Moxley, but Yuta attacks! They mug Dax, then Yuta DDTS Dax onto the trash can lid! Moxley goes out to grab the ladder, and Yuta whips Cash into railing. Cash goes down in a heap while Moxley brings the ladder into the ring. The ladder is put along the top rope, then he and Yuta whip Dax! Dax ducks the ladder, comes back and CLOBBERS the Death Riders!

Dax fires hands on Moxley, then grabs the ladder. He simply puts it on the middle rope now, and he whips Yuta. Yuta reverses, and Dax hits the ladder hard! Dax writhes, the ladder falls out of the ring, and Collision returns to single picture. Yuta looms over Dax, digs his knees in, and Moxley brings out the mysterious black bag. Cash crawls in, Yuta stomps him, and Moxley pours out THUMBTACKS! The fans fire up again while Moxley & Yuta drag Cash up. They bring Cash over, then Yuta makes Dax watch! Moxley underhooks the arms, but Cash wrenches out, whips and POWERBOMBS Moxley onto the tacks!!

The fans go wild as Moxley suffers from his own violent desires! Cash then fires hands on Yuta! Yuta bails out but Cash goes to the apron. Cash drags Yuta up, and hits an APRON- NO, Yuta slips inside, fires hands, and he suplexes. Cash fights that, he and Yuta fight for control! Yuta ROCKS Cash, builds speed, but Cash slingshots. Yuta slides under, Cash keeps moving, and Cash DIVES! Down goes Yuta, but then Moxley has Cash! PARADIGM SHIFT to the floor! Moxley snarls, tells Marina to find him a table, and she points to which side of the ring it’s under. They bring the table out, and fans are torn. They like tables, but the hate the Death Riders!

Moxley puts the table in the ring, Yuta CHOKES Dax on ropes, then Yuta CLAWS Dax’s face! Moxley puts that table up in a corner, and Yuta fires hands on Dax. The fans rally for FTR, but Yuta throws more hands. Moxley talks trash on the fans but they boo. Yuta & Moxley reel Dax in, but Dax fights the double suplex! Dax then fires hands, CHOPS, and elbows! Moxley bails out, so Dax focuses on Yuta! Dax has Yuta in a corner an drains down hands fast ‘n’ furious! The fans fire up as Dax goes way past ten! Dax then brings Yuta around, suplexes, and BRAINBUSTER! Yuta writhes, the fans rally for FTR, but Moxley slithers in with some kind of tow hook!

Dax kicks low! Dax UPPERCUTS, then takes the hook! LOW BLOW WITH THE HOOK!! Dax has Moxley by the shorthairs, but Marina LOW BLOWS Dax! She’s got an iron claw herself, and then clamps on a SLEEPER! Dax is fading, but then he gets a second wind! Dax BACKPACK SENTONS through the table!! Dax just took care of The Problem and the fans are thunderous! They cheer on “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for giving them this match! But Moxley hauls Dax up, reels him in, and he has a chair at the ready! But Dax backdrops him! Moxley sunset flips, Dax sits on the cover, TWO! Moxley gets free, but Dax kicks low! FULL METAL PILEDRIVER!! Cover, TWO!!!

Moxley survives and Dax grows frustrated. Dax hobbles around, then has Moxley’s legs! SHARPSHOOTER!! Moxley endures as Dax sits back on the hold! The fans rally, but now CLAUDIO is here! The fans boo as the Swiss Cyborg suplexes Dax off of Moxley! Claudio reels Dax in, but Dax backdrops free! And LARIATS Claudio up and out! But Moxley hits a CUTTER!! Moxley sets the chair up, and runs, FULL METAL CURB STOMP!! Cover, CASH BREAKS IT! The fans fire up but Yuta attacks Cash! Claudio joins in, this is even more of a handicap match now! The fans boo but Claudio drags Cash around.

Yuta keeps Cash down so Claudio can put the chair around Cash’s neck! The fans boo, but COPE & JAY WHITE are here! They fight Yuta and Claudio, and the Switchblade LARIATS Claudio out! Cope CLOBBERS Moxley on the outside, puts him back in, then things spill out towards commentary! They even get on the desk! Dax reels Yuta in, and Cash goes up the railing! MIND BREAKER PILEDRIVER through the table!!! Cover, FTR WINS!!

Winners: FTR, by pinfall

The Death Riders tried to tip the scales, but they underestimated how many enemies they have! But the brawl is still going as Claudio puts White in the ring! Cope has Moxley, White gets Claudio with a BLADERUNNER! The fans fire up as FTR now stand back up, and they join Cope & White in the ring! “This is Awesome!” as Moxley finds himself all alone! Cope tells Moxley to turn around. He does, and staggers into a SHATTER MACHINE! Then Cope adds the SPEAR!! Cope still isn’t done, he drags Moxley around and White says hold on a second. White brings in a chair and hands that to Cope! FTR sets Moxley up on the other chair, and the fans all know what this is!

But so does Claudio, and he drags Moxley out to safety! The fans boo, but Cope grins. He put out the challenge, and as it stands, March 9th could be the most violent match we’ve ever seen! Will Cope make sure the Maniac’s reign of terror ends with a Revolution?

My Thoughts:

A very good Collision, but they sure put in a lot of talking. I know this was prerecorded, and it obviously went up against the Royal Rumble, but seriously, this was a LOT of talking. They put in a lot of hype promos and vignettes for the coming weeks. I’m surprised they’re making the Atlanta Dynamite a “big” episode, but I did really like the promo from Swerve and Ricochet. For one, it’s just great that people in AEW and WWE are acknowledging Lucha Underground. And Ricochet also relating how the fans were rather fickle, and spun it as how he was always “pretending” to be a Face. It does work given how well he’s doing as this American Psycho style Heel. Swerve VS Ricochet for Atlanta is going to be awesome stuff, but I feel like shenanigans will happen to compel a rematch.

Toni Storm had a great promo, and I love that she thinks we had no idea that was her as “Rockstar” Toni Storm. But then Mariah May hyping up Storm VS Aminata is redundant and just filling time. At least Thunder Rosa’s promo kept in mind that Rosa VS Ford was happening. Willow and Kris having a promo here was a touch surprising, but at least they haven’t forgotten that story of Kris trying to redeem herself. Then Harley VS Taya was a really good match, and I figured Harley would finally get that first televised win here. Deonna throwing a fit was fitting, and Harley had a really funny Mone Muppet promo. Now, of course Mone wasn’t going to just say yes to Harley, maybe Harley forces Mone into it with a Title Eliminator situation.

Very good promos from Kyle and Briscoe to set up a singles match for next week’s Collision, but then it seems a bit too soon when we’ve got Kyle & Konosuke VS Buddy & Brody. I did really like the promo Buddy and Okada had, though, with Buddy again punking Okada there. Obviously Buddy VS Okada is going to be happen, and I would think it’s for Grand Slam. Perhaps after next week’s Dynamite, Okada tries to punk Buddy in return, only for Buddy and him to fight, compelling the Continental Championship match. And even if Buddy loses, he will look awesome against Okada, maybe helping build Buddy up towards a different singles title reign.

Good promo from Lio & Action to talk trash on Dante & Darius, and a good, quick vignette from Hologram. Hologram will surely get right back into the mix once he’s back, and he’d also make a great challenger to some midcard titles. We got a really good promo from each part of the TNT Championship Triple Threat, and that was one of the best Triple Threats I’ve seen in a long time, especially when you consider the creativity from these three as three of the best technical wrestlers today. Plus, they did an incredible job with that finish, where Garcia turns things around on Lee and Kyle misses breaking it. The Trios Triple Threat we’re getting will be great, too, but I feel like Undisputed Kingdom wins that.

Very good promo from The Outrunners to hype up their tag match, and that was a really good tag match. The Learning Tree of course had to cheat, though, but then great save by Bandido. He is over his concussion that he unfortunately got when he returned in the first place, and clearly he’ll be challenging Jericho after all. I can only hope that Bandido VS Jericho happens for whatever return to cable television ROH will get, and then Bandido can win the title to make all the “Please Retire!” anti-Jericho fans happy. And even if there are fans who don’t really know Bandido, I would think beating Jericho would help them understand Bandido is that good.

Great opening tag from Joe & Hook VS Nick & Kip, and while of course Joe & Hook, of course Christian would beat them up as a sore loser. I almost thought Shibata was gonna hurry out there, but I guess The Patriarchy has to stand tall once before this feud is over. I’m sure the blowoff is a Six Man Tag, but a part of me wants Taz to dare Christian Cage to put up his Casino Gauntlet contract against either Joe or Hook. At the very least, not getting Joe VS Christian 1v1 before this is done feels like a wasted opportunity, so we gotta see that happen.

Great stuff with LFI’s reunion. Mortos of course destroys Adam Priest, but Caster showing up to do his first open challenge was good stuff. Rush demolishing Caster was also great, and I really hope this time, LFI does stuff that matters. If nothing else, can they get in on the story with the Death Riders just because of the Trios Championships? Rated FTR has said they don’t really disagree with the Death Riders, and I feel like LFI don’t even care what the Death Riders want, LFI just wants gold. And c’mon, Rush, Dralistico & Mortos VS Claudio, Pac & Yuta? That’s a killer 3v3 right there.

Now, speaking of the Death Riders, here’s where things were just a touch messy tonight. They’ve been showing us snippets of the Death Riders on Closeup with Renee Paquette, the AEW YouTube series. Did Cope not even watch the snippets they showed on TV? Because the first part of his promo made no sense when you consider Moxley out and out says he wants to “backfill AEW with a thousand Jon Moxleys,” aka he wants to mold the next generation in his image. Cope saying Moxley has no plan is now debunked. But being this is all a prerecorded episode, maybe Cope did that promo before knowing they were giving us Moxley’s promo on Dynamite.

That said, duh it’s gonna be Cope VS Moxley at Revolution. The Street Fight tonight was a lot of wild fun, and of course it got overbooked with Marina and Claudio helping out, to then cue Cope and Jay White countering that. Great win for FTR out of this, and good tease of Cope going for the Con-Chair-To. Going back to Christian Cage still having his Casino Gauntlet contract, it’d be so fitting if he chose to cash in on Cope at Revolution. Cope can win to “liberate” the world title, only for his archenemy to steal his moment and start us on a new Cope VS Christian rivalry through the Spring and Summer.

My Score: 8.7/10

Cage slides into the ring, argues with the ref, and that lets Lance Archer attack! Archer SMACKS Ospreay off the desk, and then Callis gets his own shots in! Ospreay writhes, Cage gives Callis a hug, and Callis says Cage is a stud! Cage goes back for Ospreay in the ring, and he hoists Ospreay up.

Cage RAMS Ospreay into the corner, RAMS him again, then hoists him up again. Cage runs Ospreay corner to corner to RAM him in again! Ospreay sputters but Cage stands him up. And CHOPS him again! Cage whips, Ospreay handsprings and NEURALIZER KICKS!

We still don’t have an answer on who the newest Family member will be, but will Callis even need them if they can tear Omega & Ospreay apart before Grand Slam?

Backstage interview with Swerve Strickland.

Well, not quite, as Renee Paquette waits outside his locker room, hoping for a word about Ricochet’s threatening Prince Nana. Wait, Hangman Page barges through, and says no one is in there. Renee asks what Hangman is even doing, he says it is none of her business. Then can Hangman comment on Christopher Daniels announcing the end of his in-ring career? Nope, no time. But then Hangman literally bumps into MJF. These two stare down, but then Hangman moves on. MJF says unbelievable. The Cowboy walks around like he’s King S*it just because the fans like him. No matter what he does, Hangman did nothing wrong~!

But MJF even so much as breathes funny and it is all over for him. How hypocritical. MJF mutters to himself but Renee asks how he feels about Jeff Jarrett’s match where he could win a title opportunity with Moxley. Renee snaps MJF out of ranting to himself, and MJF apologizes, it’s the ADHD. But MJF is not gonna let anybody ruin his mood tonight. Because tonight, he proves his words aren’t just beautiful poetry but prophecy. Tonight, Double J learns that as MJF said, you’re better off making a deal with The Devil than defying him. Jarrett learns that the hard way when he goes out there alone to face one of the most dangerous men AEW has to offer in the man-horse, Claudio Castagnoli!

And that is all because of Jarrett’s narcissism, and his refusal of MJF’s sweetheart deal. MJF has a new offer, and unfortunately for Jarrett, it is one he can’t decline. It goes like this: The Last Outlaw’s Last Ride! Ain’t that great? MJF grins, but will he have to eat his words when Jarrett finds a way to defeat the Swiss Cyborg?

“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs speaks.

“Unfortunately, Big Bill, I wasn’t cleared to travel to Dynamite tonight. But just as we went off that stage on Collision, I told we’re going to Hell. When I’m cleared to come back, I’m gonna show you that Hell is just the beginning.” When and where will The Book of Hobbs finish this chapter with The Redwood?

High Stakes: Jeff Jarrett VS Claudio Castagnoli!

Well, just as the Wolf of Wrestling said, The Last Outlaw is going up against the Death Rider’s workhorse, all for his shot at Jon Moxley and the AEW World Championship! Will Double J win here to go on to “the big one?” Or is this where Jarrett’s ride ends?

The bell rings and the fans rally up for Jarrett. Jarrett and Claudio tie up, go around, go along ropes, and end up in a corner. The ref counts, Claudio lets off slowly, but then takes a swing! Jarrett avoids the cheap shot to UPPERCUT Claudio! Claudio headlocks, Jarrett powers up and out, but Claudio runs him over! Things keep moving, Jarrett drops down then arm-drags! And HIP TOSSES! Jarrett whips, JAPANESE ARM-DRAGS, and the fans fire up! Jarrett puts Claudio in a corner, climbs up, and he rains down fists! The fans count along, but Claudio stops Jarrett at 4 to then atomic drop! Claudio runs, and he LARIATS Jarrett down! Cover, TWO!

Claudio argues with the ref but the count was fair. Claudio drags Jarrett up, reels him in, but Jarrett powers up to back drop free! But Claudio sunset flips, Jarrett rolls through, and Jarrett has the legs! FIGURE FOUR! The fans “WOO~!” while Claudio flails! Claudio crawls over to the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Jarrett lets go fast, and the fans cheer while Claudio bails out. Jarrett waits on Claudio and the fans rally behind “DOUBLE J! DOUBLE J!” Claudio waves to the crowd? Oh, of course! Wheeler Yuta is here! The Decoder is dressed and ready for his match against Jay White, but he looks ready to go now if he has to!

Jarrett storms out and dares Yuta to do something, but the ref has Yuta stay back. Now Claudio waits on Jarrett in the ring, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

The ref has Jarrett leave Yuta alone, and he tells Yuta to stay back. Jarrett returns to the ring, dodges Claudio and puts him on ropes! Jarrett runs to then STRADDLE ATTACK! The fans cheer as Jarrett does the Fargo Strut, then runs back in, only for Yuta to warn Claudio! Claudio dodges and TOSSES Jarrett out of the ring! The ref keeps Claudio from going out there, but that lets Yuta attack Jarrett! Yuta gets away with it all and Claudio goes out the side. Claudio SMACKS Jarrett off the barriers, then stalks him around the way. Claudio then lifts Jarrett to hit SNAKE EYES off railing! Claudio puts Jarrett in the ring and clamps on a COBRA CLUTCH!

Jarrett endures while Claudio thrashes him around. Jarrett fights up, fires body shots, but Claudio HOTSHOTS him on ropes! Jarrett sputters, Claudio kicks him out to the floor, and again the ref keeps Claudio in the ring. Yuta creeps up, but the ref senses him this time! Yuta backs off, Claudio goes out, and Claudio puts Jarrett in the ring. Claudio tells the ref not to worry about Yuta, but then Jarrett fires body shots! Jarrett ROCKS Claudio, fires more shots, but Claudio BOOTS him down! And hits a LEG DROP, brother! Cover, TWO! Claudio clamps onto Jarrett with a chinlock and grinds him down while Dynamite returns to single picture.

The fans rally as Jarrett fights to his feet. Jarrett fires body shots, then powers Claudio to a corner. Jarrett whisp corner to corner but Claudio reverses, then follows in for an UPPERCUT! Snapmare and cover, TWO! Jarrett toughs it out and the fans rally some more. Claudio grabs the legs, but Jarrett kicks him away! Claudio comes back to DOUBLE STOMP! Cover, TWO! Jarrett stays in this and the fans cheer, but Claudio gives scuffing, mocking kicks. Claudio whips but Jarrett catches him for a RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! The fans fire up and both men stand. Claudio fires hands on Jarrett, then UPPERCUTS!

Claudio UPPERCUTS again and Jarrett staggers around. Claudio UPPERCUTS, Jarrett HAYMAKERS! They go back and forth, the fans cheer Jarrett but boo Claudio. Jarrett gets the edge but Claudio kicks low! Claudio winds up to UPPERCUT, but Jarrett DECKS him in return! The fans fire up with Jarrett and he swings more shots and even some KICKS! Jarrett trips Claudio, steps through, but Claudio BOOTS him away! Claudio runs up in the corner again, but Jarrett dodges! Claudio is stuck, Jarrett kicks at the free leg! Claudio hobbles around but Jarrett winds up, only for Claudio to block! Jarrett aims, but Claudio ducks the enzigiri!

Claudio grabs both legs, for the GIANT SWING!! Claudio goes around and around, but can only manage half a dozen rotations because of the damage to his own leg! Claudio steps through on Jarrett and turns him over, SHARPSHOOTER! The fans boo but Jarrett endures! Jarrett reaches out while Claudio sits deep! Yuta tells Jarrett to just tap out, but the fans rally! Jarrett powers up, pushes back, and he has Claudio’s legs! Jarrett has the SHARPSHOOTER! Jarrett does this for Owen! Claudio endures, but Yuta slides a chair in! Yuta then distracts the ref, Jarrett lets Claudio go, and Jarrett DECKS Yuta!

The fans cheer, but Claudio grabs the chair! The ref ushers Yuta out, but Jarrett dodges the chair! Jarrett wrenches Claudio, reels him in, but MOXLEY is here!! The Maniac hits a PARADIGM SHIFT!! The fans boo but Moxley & Yuta bail out so that Claudio can hook Jarrett up! GOTCH NEUTRALIZER!! And then he hauls Jarrett up again, GOTCH NEUTRALIZER AGAIN!! Cover, Claudio wins!

Winner: Claudio Castagnoli, by pinfall (denies Jeff Jarrett a world title match)

Marina Shafir is also ringside now, just to hold up the briefcase that holds the world title. The Death Riders screw Double J over, but it took almost ALL of them to do it! Is this a sign that they fear Double J’s grit and determination? As for the Last Outlaw, he slowly sits up from taking all those big shots, the fans cheering him on. Jarrett thanks the fans, but here comes MJF… Jarrett sighs while he struggles to stand up, and MJF struts out here with another stupid grin on his face. MJF goes right to the ring, mic in hand, and he tells Jarrett, “I just wanted to come out here to say…” HE CLOBBERS JARRETT WITH THE DYNAMITE DIAMOND RING!!

The fans boo as MJF grins again and stands over Jarrett. MJF picks the mic back up to say, “As you know, I truly respect my elders. And that’s precisely why I’m not gonna say I told you so.” MJF leaves Double J behind, but will the Scumbag actually man up and go for gold? Or is he just going to wait it out while The Maniac continues his reign of terror?

Backstage interview with Ricochet.

Renee is with the One & Only and says earlier today, she tried to get a word with Swerve Strickland, but he is nowhere to be found. But she has been informed that should Swerve interfere in Ricochet’s match tonight, Swerve will effectively forfeit the match the two of them were set to have next week in Atlanta. Really? Ricochet likes that. Because finally, Swerve is out of Ricochet’s business. Well, Renee knows Ricochet has a lot he wants to get off his chest, so what’s on his mind? Ricochet says no, no, we aren’t doing this right now. Look at how Ricochet is dressed. Does she take him for some kind of hoodlum?

No, they will do this in a more formal setting this Saturday on Collision. As for tonight, “the powers that be” have decided to further bully Ricochet by putting him in a match against AR Fox one week before one of the biggest matches in Ricochet’s career. So if you don’t mind, let him take care of that situation real quick. Renee wishes him luck but he says no need. The music hits and Ricochet makes his entrance. Will Dynamite be #OuttaThisWorld? Or will it be the Whole Fox’n Show?

Ricochet VS AR Fox!

The bell rings and the fans rally up. Ricochet is annoyed already and he talks trash on Huntsville. Ricochet and Fox circle, tie up, and Ricochet pulls hair to put Fox in a corner. The ref counts, the fans boo, but Ricochet lets off to then shove Fox. Ricochet eggs Fox on, Fox runs up, and Fox gets around to headlock. Ricochet powers up and out, Fox RUNS Ricochet over, then keeps moving. He RUNS Ricochet over again, then ducks a lariat to hit a headlock takeover. Ricochet rolls that to a cover, ONE and Fox holds onto the headlock. The fans cheer but Ricochet fights around. Ricochet fights up, fires body shots, then powers out.

Fox goes up the corner, Ricochet stops the rana but Fox mule kicks and FLYING STUNNERS! Ricochet staggers, Fox suplexes, SPINNING BRAINBUSTER! Ricochet tumbles out of the ring and the fans fire up. Fox feeds off that energy, then builds speed to FLY! Direct hit on Ricochet and the fans fire up again! Fox then whips Ricochet into barriers, runs in, and BOOTS Ricochet! The fans fire up while Ricochet staggers away. Fox bumps Ricochet off the barriers, CHOPS him, and then high-fives fans. Fox CLUBS Ricochet, has him on the apron and climbs up to join him. Fox fireman’s carries, but Ricochet slips into the ring!

But with one week to go, will Ricochet enter Swerve’s House only to NOT make it out in one piece?

AEW shares a snippet from Closeup with Renee Paquette.

We got a little taste on Saturday during Collision, now we get a little more as Renee asks Jon Moxley about the AEW World Championship itself. From the moment Moxley won it, he’s kept it hidden. First a garbage bag, now the briefcase. Why is it Moxley is essentially holding this title hostage? Moxley asks back why anyone needs to see the belt. What does anyone get out of it? Do they want to take a picture of it? Is this a petting zoo? Why does anyone need to see it when they don’t know anything about it? They don’t understand it on any level. They don’t understand what a world championship means, what it is about, what it takes to be a world champion.

Moxley IS the AEW World Championship! He is the living definition of what it is to be a champion. Want to see it? Take a look at it, because it’s right here. HE is the AEW World Championship, it lives here. It isn’t something you hold, it isn’t something you show off, it isn’t something you take pictures with. It lives in the heart! It has to be cultivated, grown, forged in the white hot fires of struggle and combat. And as we heard from Collision, Moxley is trying to build a THOUSAND Moxleys! He wants to backfill AEW, so that means he must put them through what he went through, and maybe even worse.

The Maniac’s reign of terror is much deeper than we knew. But will it ever come to an end?

The Learning Tree speaks.

Chris Jericho says, “Hi, guys~! Welcome to another New York Minute, coming to you live this week from Huntsville, Alabama, home of the Crimson Toad.” Bryan Keith adds, “ROLL TOAD!” Jericho says a lot is going on with The Nueve, like his new movie, Dark Match, premiering in theaters and on Shudder this Friday night. It’s violent, it’s gory, it’s fun, just like The Learning Tree! But speaking of violent, we also saw last week on Collision, Big Bill took out Will Hobbs! Tells us about it, Redwood! Bill says what “LT” said last week really struck a chord with him. It is one thing for Bill to share the teachings of Jericho with the world, but it’s another to put those words into action.

Bill feels now that he understands Jericho’s words in a way that he never did before. He feels… Stronger. Jericho says yes, when he hears Bill say that, it makes Jericho very proud. Jericho is very proud… of himself, for being such a great mentor! And Jericho told Bill to take out Hobbs, but permanently. Bill didn’t do that, so Bill will have to work a little bit harder next time. But Bill will get that chance again this Saturday, as Jericho & Bad Apple Bryan Keith take on those other heathens who beat them in that 12 Man Tag at Maximum Carnage, The Outrunners! Jericho says the Outrunners claim to have been around for decades, but Jericho’s never seen them anywhere but AEW, EVER!

Keith says that’s a Mandela Effect! Jericho says this Saturday, The Youngest Men Alive get taught a lesson from the smartest men alive, and Big Bill will make Jericho proud for real this time. That’s all! Another New York Minute! Thanks, guys~! Jericho’s cocky smile turns into a sneer, but will he and Keith really bring down Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum? Or will the Learning Tree get a Total Recall?

Jay White VS Wheeler Yuta!

The Switchblade has been after The Death Riders for months now, and he especially owes The Decoder for all the underhanded ways he’s gotten involved in White’s title matches. Will Yuta learn to Breathe with the Switchblade? Or will he just ruin another night for Jay White?

White crawls away to the ropes, goes to the apron, but Yuta kicks him to the floor. Yuta goes out but White CHOPS him down! The fans fire up, but Yuta trips White! Yuta SLAMS the bad leg into the LED barriers! And though Excalibur said it a few seconds ago, now Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Yuta drags White around the way, puts him back in the ring, and he pushes White to a cover. TWO, but Yuta keeps White down for another cover, TWO! Another cover, TWO! Yuta is annoyed, White CHOPS him but Yuta SLAPS White! Yuta has the toehold and twists the foot. White CLAWS Yuta’s back but Yuta TWISTS the ankle! Yuta steps through for another toehold, then ties the legs up in a deathlock! Yuta stands and taunts White. White grabs Yuta’s beard, but Yuta breaks free to bridge back! White endures, reaches out, and he crawls around. Yuta taunts White to go for the ropes, and White flails as he inches closer.

White fights and fights, and finally has the ROPEBREAK! Yuta mockingly applauds while the ref counts, and Yuta lets the leglock go at 4. Yuta stomps White, has him in the corner, and then he puts the bad leg on the ropes. Yuta stands on the bad leg, the ref counts, and Yuta steps off at 4. Yuta argues with the ref, but White stands up to CHOP! White hobbles Yuta CHOPS him in return! White flops into the corner, but he CHOPS in return! Yuta ROCKS White with a forearm, then stalks him along the ropes. White stands to ROCK Yuta! White hobbles as he storms up on Yuta, and Yuta ROCKS White back!

Dynamite returns to single picture, White CHOPS again, but Yuta KICKS the bad leg! White flops against the ropes and Yuta mocks the fans. White comes back to CHOP! The fans rally, Yuta storms up, but White CHOPS again! White roars, the fans fire up, but Yuta kicks the bad leg! White falls back, Yuta mocks the roar, then he storms up on White in the corner. Yuta hoists White up to the top rope, “YUTA SUCKS!” but he CLAWS White’s eyes! Yuta climbs up behind White, but White fights the lift! White CLUBS Yuta again and again, then ELBOWS him! White endures, reaches out, and fights to the ROPEBREAK! The fans cheer, the ref counts, and Yuta lets go, shouting, “I have ’til five!” Yuta acts like he’s Bryan Danielson here, then he goes back to White. Yuta drags White up, wrenches and lifts, but White fights free!

White hobbles on the bad leg, Yuta runs up to KICK the leg out! The fans boo but Yuta hits the PAIN THRILLER! Cover, TWO!! White snatches that one away in the blink of an eye, but he isn’t done! White stands Yuta up again, for another BLADERUNNER! The fans want that “One More Time!” so White says why not! White hobbles back to Yuta, but here comes Moxley & Marina! White sees The Maniac on the apron, but then Claudio slips in from behind! Claudio CLOBBERS White, and now he and Moxley stomp away on White! Yuta flounders, but here comes Rated FTR!! Cope, Dax & Cash run The Death Riders off, but Moxley grins as he dares Cope to come get him. Cope helps White up, and Dax gets a mic.

“It’s a little different, huh? It’s a little different because it’s even, it’s an even fight right now. Death Riders, I know how you operate. And here’s the thing, I don’t hate how you operate. But what I do hate is when you try to end a 67-year-old man who is my idol, Ricky Morton. That’s what I got a problem! Right now, tonight, one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, one half of the greatest tag team, The Midnight Express, Dennis Condrey, is here! In Dennis Condrey’s name, on Collision, FTR VS The Death Riders, in a Midsouth Street Fight!” The fans like the sound of that! Dax says, “See y’all there.” Will the Top Guys make sure The Death Riders finally get what they deserve?

Renee Paquette is on stage.

She welcomes out the AEW Women’s World Champion, Mariah May! The Glamour walks out on stage, says it is great to be in Huntsville, “but looking around, maybe we should change the first letter to a C?” The fans get what she means, but Renee moves things along. We have seen the metamorphosis of “Timeless” Toni Storm, who Mariah will be defending the title against at Grand Slam: Australia. Mariah seemed a bit shaken- Oh, wow, we’re doing this? Toni Storm playing the part of Toni Storm, the RETURN~ of Toni Storm! This isn’t real, Renee! None of it is! Toni Storm is NOT real! Mariah then snatches the mic from Renee while the fans chant “TONI! TONI!”

Mariah scowls at the fans, then says, “You want to play the role of Toni Storm? Okay, why don’t you play the Toni Storm who gave her heart to a woman who used her for her gold? No, no, why don’t you play the Toni Storm who’s most memorable moment was bleeding and crying in my hands?” The fans boo but Mariah says maybe Toni should play the Toni who walked out of Wembley Stadium and Japan and Mexico, because she couldn’t touch Mariah. Mariah smirks while fans boo, and Mariah says Toni can play whatever Toni she’d like, because the ending stays the same. Mariah doesn’t need to rope play. When you’re this good, you don’t need to change a thing.

Mariah says, “I am the Woman From Hell, and I always will be. And I will remind you for the rest of your life. Look now and never forget, for this is your AEW Women’s World Champion!” Mariah holds up the title, but with just over two weeks left, will she lose it all to the woman she took it all from?

AEW checks on on The Gunns.

Austin & Colten have been watching from home, looking back on their rise to the top, and working on making it back. When and where will it be #GunnsUp again?

BREAKING NEWS for Collision!

On top of Jericho & Keith VS The Outrunners, we will see Samoa Joe & Hook team up against Nick Wayne & Kip Sabian! Will The Patriarchy’s “sons” be able to stop the Samoan Submission Machine and the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil? Then, after hearing Mariah speak tonight, “Timeless” Toni Storm will give her response! And then, after the tense stare downs from last week’s Homecoming, Daniel Garcia is putting up his TNT Championship in a Triple Threat! Kyle O’Reilly and Lee Moriarty are stepping up, but will either of them take this title from Red Death?

The Hurt Syndicate speaks.

Montel Vontavious Porter says, “Normally, we would gloat. But we’re gonna celebrate. First, because we’re classy gentlemen who conduct business, I would like to recognize the former AEW Tag Team Champions, Private Party. Zay, Quen, they’re warriors, they fought hard. It wasn’t their fault they ran into the most devastating tandem in ALL of professional wrestling. These tag team titles are going to stay here as long as we want them. We are putting everyone on notice. The All Mighty, Bobby Lashley. The Standard of Excellence, Shelton Benjamin. Hurt Syndicate will accept any challenge from any challenger. Any time, any place.

“We are the Hurt Syndicate, and we hurt people.” Then who will dare step up against this dangerous and powerful pair?

The Don Callis Family speaks.

Don Callis himself says, “We are the true one-percenters of professional wrestling.” Konosuke Takeshita is not only the AEW International Champion, he is the NEVER Openweight Champion after defeating Shingo Takagi at WrestleKingdom 19 and Tomohiro Ishii at WrestleDynasty. They will do what they do everywhere in the world, whatever ring they step into, and win 1-2-3! Will that be the case when AEW arrives in Australia?

The Vendetta speak.

Taya Valkyrie has the cameraman come in close. “Moments from now, we’re gonna witness Mercedes Mone defend her TBS Championship VS Yuka. UGH!” Deonna Purrazzo says, “We both know that could have been me, it should have been me, and it would have been me, if it wasn’t for Harley Cameron.” Taya says Harley loves sticking her “balloons” where they don’t belong, and Deonna says this world wasn’t built for women like them. That is why they must TAKE what they deserve. So Harley, now you belong to The Vendetta. Saturday Night Collision, they are coming to collect. The Virtuosa then dismisses the cameraman, will Harley pay for doing the right thing?

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone VS Yuka Sakazaki!

The CEO may be the FOUR-BELT BOSS, but she is still up for a challenge. She turned down Harley Cameron as Harley hasn’t won anything on AEW TV, ever. But then Harley made sure the Wrestling Magical Girl had a fair chance in Homecoming’s Fatal 4 Way last Saturday Night Collision. Will Yuka thank Harley for that by defeating Mone? Or will The CEO still be the Face of TBS?

The introductions are made, the AEW belt is raised, and we see if Mone holds onto the hardware!

The bell rings and the two circle. Mone and Yuka tie up, go around, and the fans are on Yuka’s side. Mone wrenches, wristlocks, but Yuka spins, wrenches, and wristlocks in return. Mone rolls, kips up, and wrenches to hammerlock. Yuka endures, fights up and spins around to top wristlock! Mone slips under but Yuka headlocks. Mone powers out to headlock in return, but Yuka powers up to power out. Mone RUSN Yuka over, soaks up the heat while she does her dance, but Yuka kips up! Yuka wags her finger, runs, and she jumps over the dropdown. Things keep moving, and Yuka RUNS Mone over! The fans cheer and Yuka does her own CEO dance!

Mone swipes, Yuka jumps it, and she snapmares Mone! Mone bridges up and snapmares Yuka, but Yuka bridges up! Mone shoves Yuka, but Yuka avoids the arm-drag! The fans cheer as Yuka body scissors, and she rolls Mone around and around, and around again! Cover, TWO! Mone escapes and then ducks a sliding lariat! Ghost pin, TWO! Mone CHOPS! The fans “WOO~!” and Mone grins. Yuka swings, Mone blocks her and goes up, up, and then FLYING ARM-DRAGS! Mone dusts herself off while Yuka tumbles away. Yuka bails out, Mone builds speed, but Yuka blocks the basement dropkick! Yuka spins Mone around, then says neener-neener!

Mone kicks, Yuka ducks it, but Mone grabs Yuka by the hair! Mone says you wanna neener-neener HER?! Mone whips, Yuka goes up the apron and TIGER FEINT KICKS Mone down! The fans fire up with Yuka and she goes up the corner! Mone stands, Yuka aims, but Mone scrambles away! The fans boo and Yuka pouts. Yuka hops down while Mone wags her finger. Yuka goes to the apron, kicks, but Mone blocks! Mone trips Yuka, Yuka hits the apron, and then Mone goes up! METEORA to the floor! The CEO does her dance again, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Mone soaks up heat while the ref checks Yuka. Yuka’s still in this, so Mone stands her up. Mone brings Yuka around the ring in a mocking victory lap, then THROWS her into the apron! Mone CHOPS Yuka, puts her in the ring, then covers, TWO! Yuka stays in this and Mone is frustrated already. Mone drags Yuka up, brings her around, and bumps her off buckles. Mone stomps a mudhole into Yuka, stands on her, then steps off as the ref counts. Mone runs back in, but she blocks Yuka’s boot! Yuka tries another kick, Mone blocks that, and Mone puts Yuka in the ropes. Mone ROCKS Yuka, then hits the STOCK DROP! Cover, TWO!

Yuka stays in this and Mone is annoyed. Mone storms back up on Yuka, drags her up by her hair, then scoops her, only for Yuka to slip free! Yuka has the arms for a motorcycle stretch, but then throws Mone down into a cover, TOW! Mone hurries to her feet and she DROPKICKS Yuka down! Yuka flounders, but she still kicks Mone from below. Mone stomps away on Yuka, drags her up and scoops again, for the SLAM! Mone kneels on the cover, TWO! Yuka stays in this but Mone stays on her by clamping on a chinlock. Yuka endures, fights up, and fires body shots. Mone THROWS Yuka down by her hair, then dusts herself off.

Mone soaks up more heat, KNEES Yuka in the back again and again and again, then puts her in the motorcycle stretch! Yuka endures, fights up to her feet, but Mone pushes her back down! Winner: Mercedes Mone, by pinfall (still AEW TBS Champion)

Mone got quite the fight from Yuka, but she not only holds onto this title, but she stays the FOUR BELT BOSS! Will anyone ever end The CEO’s world domination?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite here, and it moved rather smoothly. I can’t be sure, but it felt like there was less talking and more story told through action. Great opening match from Ospreay VS Cage, and they hit all the beats: Omega got attacked backstage; Ospreay still wins despite Archer and Callis getting involved; Don Callis Family beats Ospreay up; Omega makes the save; Don Callis Family still beats him and Ospreay up. I feel like the teaser of the “sixth man” was a little soon if Ospreay & Omega were still going to be on the defensive, but maybe we’ll see the reveal during the tag match for Grand Slam: Australia. It would certainly be a big moment for their newest “biggest show.”

Plus, great story intertwining, it was a bit like the AEW of old. Hangman looking for Swerve but not finding him, then bumping into MJF was good stuff. MJF of course talked smack on Jarrett before Jarrett VS Claudio, and Jarrett VS Claudio was some great stuff. But wow, Moxley needing to get involved to screw over Jarrett? I feel like Claudio could’ve just given Jarrett a low blow and it would’ve been the same. But I suppose Jarrett really being down and out gave MJF his opening to add on, which of course all but guarantees we’re getting MJF VS Jarrett, probably also for Grand Slam: Australia. Again, it’s AEW’s new big special, they’re not having MJF miss that.

Ricochet had a good promo getting all cocky because he thought he was safe, and then he had a great match against AR Fox. Swerve appearing from under the ring (at least I think that’s where he was, the cameras didn’t catch where he came from) was great, and he got to beat up on Ricochet a bit. Ricochet still got away before Swerve could truly stand tall, but this was the go-home to their match next week in Atlanta, and Swerve certainly has the edge on Ricochet. That would usually indicate Swerve loses, and I could see Ricochet cheating to do it. I feel like they could easily set a bigger, better match for Grand Slam, maybe even Revolution, we’ll have to wait and see.

Good snippet from that Moxley interview for Closeup, thought it didn’t add too much to what we got on Collision last week. White VS Yuta was a great match, and while White won, the Death Riders of course came out to go after him. That then of course brought out Rated FTR, but surprisingly no brawl. FTR putting out the challenge for the Midsouth Street Fight is good stuff, and that match will be some awesome stuff, and also hard to call. We also got a good vignette from The Gunns, so maybe we will get them returning to help White against the Death Riders, and then we can actually get a World Trios Championship already.

Good promo from Hobbs to explain why he couldn’t be here tonight, and this was surely legit given that wild fall off the stage in Daily’s Place. Any number of bumps, scrapes, bruises and such could’ve happened when crashing down through tables and hitting the ground, and Hobbs is still only just returning from injury, they can’t risk him getting injured again. Good “New York Minute” from The Learning Tree, but the highlight was Jericho’s continued condescending towards Big Bill. Bill really needs to turn on Jericho before this story is over, and I’d love if Bill also ranted about all the things Jericho got wrong about the USA while trying to be “The King of New York.”

Good promo from Mariah to respond to that confrontation with Toni Storm, and Toni’s promo on Collision will surely be good stuff. Good promo from Vendetta, I feel like whatever match they have with Harley should end up Harley’s win. Then Harley can throw that win in Mone’s face because she wants that title shot in Australia. Speaking of, awesome main event from Mone VS Yuka, probably one of Yuka’s best matches in AEW. But of course Mone won, she’s been going strong and probably will keep going until Kamille comes back or we get another crossover of AEW, NJPW and other partners, aka Forbidden Door: London.

My Score: 8.9/10
