AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Opening Round: Dustin Rhodes VS Bryan Danielson!

The Natural and the American Dragon open the action for tonight and Orlando is thunderous already! Who takes one step closer to the finals at Full Gear?

The bell rings and fans cheer as the two stare down. Dustin and Bryan circle, they shake hands and fans cheer the sportsmanship. Bryan and Dustin tie up, Bryan wrenches to a wristlock then hammerlock but Dustin reverses that onto Bryan. Fans rally and duel, Bryan drops to reverse the hammerlock then headlock. Dustin throws Bryan off and both men reset. They circle, feel out the knuckle lock but tie up with collar ‘n’ elbow. Dustin headlocks, Bryan powers out but Dustin runs him over! Things keep moving, Bryan hip tosses Dustin down! Dustin kicks Bryan away and arm-drag shim back! Bryan is up first and the two stand off.

Dustin and Bryan circle again as fans rally back up. They feel out and tie up with the knuckle locks now, but Bryan drops, rolls and trips Dustin to get a toehold. Bryan turns Dustin over, ties up the legs, and then knees Dustin in the side! And again! Bryan hooks up the deathlock and drops back to tweak it! Bryan gets up to do it again, but Dustin endures. Fans rally up, Bryan stands up and drops a third time! Then he turns to bring Dustin into BOW ‘N’ ARROW! Dustin gets the ropebreak and Bryan lets off. Dustin gets to the corner and Bryan backs off. Dustin gets up, walks off the pain and the two tie up again.

They go on ropes, the ref calls the break and Bryan throws a body shot as he lets off. Then he ROCKS Dustin with a EuroUpper! And another! Bryan whips, Dustin drops and uppercuts back! Bryan dumps Dustin out then builds speed, to DIVE! Direct hit and both men hit railing! Fans fire up as Dustin goes to the apron and CANNONBALLS! Direct hit in return and Dustin puts Bryan in the ring. Cover, ONE!! Dustin stomps Bryan, drops a knee on Bryan’s arm, then drags Bryan around. Dustin has the wristlock, Bryan fights up and rolls, bridges, breaks free and dropkicks a leg! Dustin falls back but Bryan takes a moment to catch his breath.

Bryan drags Dustin up, KICKS that leg, then KICKS Dustin against ropes. Bryan throws another EuroUpper, then goes for a back suplex. Dustin blocks, pries free and switches to GERMAN SUPLEX! Dustin KICKS Bryan in the back, drags him back up and bumps him off buckles. Dustin CHOPS, Bryan staggers to another corner but Dustin CHOPS him again! And again! Bryan CHOPS back! And KICKS! And headbutts! Bryan brings Dustin up, butterfly suplex! Cover, TWO, to a CROSS ARMBREAKER! Dustin clasps hands but Bryan pries at them with the arm scissor. Fans rally, Dustin endures but Bryan pries at the fingers! Bryan isolates the arm to STOMP it!

Dustin writhes as he clutches the elbow but fans fire up for the technical savagery. Bryan goes to the corner and we see Tony Nese watching in the front row. Dustin ROCKS Bryan on the top rope, throws uppercuts, then climbs up to join him. Fans fire up as Dustin stands on the very top, for a SUPERPLEX!! Double cover as both men are down, TWO!! “This is Awesome!” as a standing count begins. Dustin sits up at 3 but Bryan follows. They’re both up at 5, and Bryan throws a EuroUpper. The Elite speaks.

Is it hot in here, or what? It’s definitely the heat. They have the cameraman move up from their awesome shows to their faces. “Hey, Hanger. We heard the big news. Next week, it’s your Dark Order boys against The Elite.” Omega wishes he could say he’s excited, that he’s feeling festive because it’ll be Halloween, but every single week teaming with Hangman felt like Halloween. Why is that? Because while Omega was still the Best Bout Machine, was still the Cleaner, was still championship material, Hangman was cosplaying as a cowboy, trying to fool everyone. Omega knows the man behind the hat, shirt and skin tight jeans.

Omega knows Hangman can’t sleep at night because he’s afraid of failure. Going into Full Gear, Hangman’s burning through Negative One’s diapers than he is that homemade moonshine. And if people only knew Hangman the way Omega did, they wouldn’t be chanting “Cowboy Sh*t.” They’d be calling him “Coward Sh*t.” The Bucks and Cole compliment Omega on the sick burns but Omega humbly says it wasn’t all him. But will it be all on Omega when Hangman finally gets his hands on him 1v1?

AEW hears from FTR and the Lucha Brothers.

Dax Harwood says, “Right now in AEW, the AEW World Tag Team Champions are in a position to make more money than FTR, and that don’t set well with us, okay?” FTR came here to build on their legacies. They are proud to be AAA Tag Team Champions, but there’s one other belt that they need to complete the transformation to Greatest Tag Team of All Time, and that is THE AEW World Tag Team Championships.

Cash Wheeler remembers back to Full Gear 2020, they lost the titles to the Bucks. And for almost a full year, they sat on the sidelines and watched a bunch of children cosplay as tag champions. A bunch of little kids fought over who’s the best while daddy had to go take care of business. But daddy’s home now. They did Halloween a little bit early, so you can take all the shenanigans, dress up however you want, put on all the face paint you want, but you’re now looking at the greatest luchadores of all time in FTR.

Penta speaks in Spanish and Alex Abrahantes translates that on Dynamite, FTR hurt Penta’s brother, Fenix, then stole the titles. On Rampage, they attacked from behind. “FTR, you wanna play dirty?” They’ll show you what that’s really like. And Alex says for himself, revenge is coming! Dax responds that if they’re talking about revenge, if Fenix even shows up, all they’re doing is selling “wolf tickets,” and FTR don’t buy those. If you think a black eye is bad, just wait until Full Gear. #TopGuysOut. But what does FTR have in store when it’s champions VS champions?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

He notes it’s been a few weeks since we saw Darby Allin, and we know who did it, regardless of what any little rat will tell us. But to give us a proper update on Darby, it’s STIIIIING~! The snow, the crow, and the Icon! Sting goes to the ring and Schiavone know the fans love him. But what can he say about Darby’s condition? Before Sting can answer, MJF makes his entrance! MJF struts out, even, and has a mic. He mocks the fans booing. He knows it’s real hard for Florida but maybe they can show some class for once. “Darby’s little emo daddy, how you doing, buddy?” MJF isn’t out here to start a fight, the last thing he’d want to do is embarrass The Icon in front of these shmubs.

But MJF doesn’t think Sting wants to answer “that talentless waste of space” Schiavone’s question. Because if Sting did, then he’d have to tell the people the truth: their little hero, Darby, isn’t coming back. So Sting can come out, try and distract by having Schiavone- Fans tell MJF to STFU. But MJF says you can distract with the face paint, swinging a bat, howl and have his “stash” snow down upon them, but here’s what Sting needs to understand. “It’s easy to fool a bunch of people who solve their problems with gun violence and incest, but you ain’t fooling MJF!” Sting is a bad person! Everyone who has ever been his friend, when they need Sting most, where is he?

MJF continues as he gets into the ring. It’s because of Sting’s negligence that Darby ended up in the same spot as Sting’s other old pal, Lex Luger. “In a wheelch-” Sting DECKS MJF! MJF scrambles to a corner but Sting drag shim up, pulls off the jacket, and as Shawn Spears and Wardlow get in, Sting smacks them around with the jacket! Sting throws hands, has Wardlow in a corner, but Spears SMACKS him with a chair! Sting stays up!? But then Wardlow CLOBBERS Sting from behind! Spears adds on chair shot after chair shot! Fans call for Darby but MJF gets his jacket back and has Spears get another chair. Spears sits that chair up for MJF to take a seat.

Fans call MJF an A-hole as he gets the mic back to say, “Darby, Darby, Darby. I know you’re in a whole lot of pain, and I also know you’re watching. Did I break you mentally now, Darby Allin? Hmm?” They sit Sting up and MJF wants Darby to LOOK AT HIM!! MJF wants Darby to understand that no matter how many times people chant his name and want to see him come back to beat MJF’s face in, if Darby comes back, this is HIS future! “You will always fall short! You will always be second best to me and me alone!! Because I am the past, the present, and the future of professional wrestling.”

The Pinnacle leaves Sting behind, but Sting gets up! MJF has his boys stand back, MJF kisses his Dynamite Diamond Ring, and he DIAMOND PUNCHES Sting down!! Now the Pinnacle leaves, but will the Relentless Darby return to exact revenge?

Backstage interview with Britt Baker.

Schiavone is with the AEW Women’s World Champion and announces that at Full Gear, Britt defends that title against Tay Conti. Britt tells Tay, “Pardon me for not giving you the proper welcome you think you deserved when you first came to All Elite Wrestling.” But since Tay did what she did best and stick her nose in other people’s business, here we are. And Britt says it is time to study and learn that all Tay’s done since showing up here is shown everyone her ass. Meanwhile, Britt is showing everyone why she’s the most talked about name in women’s wrestling.

If Tay had just been a good little girl and worked her way up the ranks, Full Gear would’ve been one hell of a match. But since she went and put hands on what’s Britt’s, Britt is gonna lay her hands on Tay and beat that ass that Tay loves showing off. “Yours Truly, Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.”

AEW TBS Championship Tournament Opening Round: Penelope Ford VS Ruby Soho!

This tournament’s fourth seed, Kris Statlander, awaits the winner of this first match! Will the Superbad Girl keep knocking the Runaway down? Or will Ruby make Destination: Unknown the Galaxy’s Greatest Alien in round two?

The bell rings and Ford throws her jacket at Ruby to then mug her blindfolded! Ford stomps Ruby, drags her up, but Ruby stomps a foot and throws forearms and even headbutts! Ruby whips, Ford blocks the STO with a pull of Ruby’s hair, but Ruby has the cording hold! Fans rally behind Ruby but Ford hits low and CLUBS Ruby down. Ford drags Ruby up to bump her off buckles. Ford stomps a mudhole, the ref counts but Ford lets off. Ford goes corner to corner, handsprings and RAMS into Ruby! Ford goes side to side but Ruby dodges to then drag Ford out of the corner. Ford fights the suplex but Ruby reels her in to ROCK her with a forearm!

Ruby runs, rolls over Ford’s dropdown then mule kicks to run and YAKUZA KICK! Cover, TWO! Ruby rains down fists, drags Ford up and whips her to a corner. Ruby runs in but Ford puts her on the apron. Ford ROCKS Ruby, but Ruby KICKS Ford as she shoulders in! Ruby drags Ford to the apron, Ford ROCKS Ruby with a right. The Bunny comes frolicking out as the two brawl, and Ruby notices. Ruby avoids Bunny’s swipe but Ford BOOTS Ruby into the post! Ford then puts Ruby in position, spins and ROCKS her with a forearm! Ford soaks up the heat and mocks Ruby as AEW goes picture in picture. Ford puts Ruby in, covers, TWO!

Ford wraps on a chinlock and squeezes tight. Ruby endures, fights up, throws body shots but Ford KNEES her down! Cover, TWO! Ford drags Ruby up again and bumps her off buckles. Ford ROCKS Ruby with a forearm, then headlocks to scrape Ruby’s face along the ropes! The ref counts, Ford lets off but then chokes Ruby on the ropes! The ref counts, Ford and Bunny talk trash, and Ford lets off. Ford KICKS Ruby in the side, turns her around and gives her a HOTSHOT! Ruby flounders, Ford runs and dropkicks Ruby out of the ring! Bunny laughs at Ruby’s pain and gets in a cheap shot while the ref is busy with Ford!

A ring count starts, Ruby stirs at 3, Ford soaks up the heat as Ruby staggers up at 6. Ruby is in at 7, and Ford stomps away on her! Ford bumps Ruby off buckles, goes corner to corner, handsprings but into DEADLY NIGHTSHADE! Ruby then drags Ford up for a SAIDO! AEW returns to single picture as both women are down! A standing count starts, Bunny coaches Ford and gets her moving. Ford and Ruby get up at 6, Ford swings but Ruby ducks to CHOP! Ruby dodges again to CHOP and CHOP and CHOPS! Ford pulls hair, whips Ruby to ropes, but Ruby rolls, blocks the boot and KNEES back! Ruby backs up to SUPERKICK, then ENZIGURI!

Ruby runs, BLINDSIDE LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Ruby drags Ford up, whips her to a corner, then runs in but into an elbow. Ford boots Ruby again, then goes up and over! Ruby hits buckles but comes back, Ford goes Matrix! But Ruby gut wrenches Ford up into clinch, only for Ford to switch, shove and CUTTER! Cover, TWO!! Ford is furious and she drags Ruby. Ruby kicks, drags Ford down to a cradle, TWO! Ruby wrenches but Ford whips her away. Ruby ends up in a corner, she catches Ford for an STO! Fans fire up as Ruby climbs, but Ford gets under the jump! SPINNING HEEL KICK! And then the fireman’s carry to a GUT BUSTER DROP!! Cover, TWO!!

Ford is furious and so is The Bunny as Ruby survives! Bunny slides Ford the brass knuckles but the ref step son them! He won’t let them cheat like they have before! Ford and the ref scramble for the knuckles, Ruby rolls Ford up! Ruby wins!!

Winner: Ruby Soho, by pinfall (advances to the next round)

Ford argues with the ref, but Bunny gets in the ring. Ruby sees she’s outnumbered, but she won’t back down! But here comes Red Velvet! She and the Bunny are first round opponents, so Bunny retreats with Ford! Will Ruby make sure Velvet has back-up against Bunny and Ford?

MJF speaks.

“Do I look alright, Spears?” The Chair Man says MJF looks fantastic. MJF continues to talk to Darby Allin as he says he sent a little message. Wardlow asks about the BS last week, though. What’s he talking about? MJF shoved Wardlow into Sting! Oh, this is embarrassing. MJF won’t lie, he got nervous, it was fight or flight, it was not intentional. Wardlow knows MJF loves him, he’d never do something like that for real. But good thing he’s here because MJF has a favor to ask. Wardlow is doing a great job, which is why MJF pays him the big bucks. But MJF is starting to realize that that’s a lot of pressure to put on one person.

So MJF has assigned Wardlow an “accountabilibuddy.” A what? And of course, it’s Spears. Now, MJF would love to chat but he’s got a meeting. See you boys later! Pinnacle for life! MJF leaves and Spears is as shocked as anyone. Will this new dynamic only complicate things for the group?

Bobby Fish VS Anthony Greene!

The Infamous One has been back and forth already in his first few AEW matches, but there isn’t any shame losing to the Spanish God or the American Dragon. That said, will there be no shame for #RetroAG in losing to THE Bobby Fish?

The bell rings and the two circle. They feel things out and Fish throws heavy hands already! Greene goes to the apron, shoulders back into Fish, then counter punches him away. Greene climbs up, tightrope walks and CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Greene goes after Fish but Fish throws knees and hands, then KICKS the leg! Fish snapmares Green to then go out and slingshot senton back in! Cover, TWO! Fish drags Greene up, throws more knees then BOOTS Greene to a corner. Fish throws in elbows and more knees, then whips. Greene reverses but Fish breaks free to RAM Greene into the far corner.

Fish isolates a leg, KICKS away on the other, then DRAGON SCREWS Greene down! Fish runs to SLIDING LARIAT! Fans fire up, Fish drags Green up to EXPLODER into the ropes! Greene flounder sup, Fish reads him his last rites, BUZZSAW! Cover, Fish wins!

Winner: Bobby Fish, by pinfall

And that’s all it takes for Fish to leave Greene black ‘n’ blue! But Fish isn’t done, he sees Greene get up and he KICKS the leg out! Fish mockingly asks, “What happened?” Fish rains down fists and forearms, the ref tells him to let off! Fish fishhooks Greene’s face! Fish even wraps on a SLEEPER! But here comes CM Punk! Punk is furious but Fish likes that The Best in the World came out. Will Fish give Punk a reason to throw down soon enough?

Backstage interview with Lio Rush & Dante Martin.

Schiavone says how last week, Lio said they’d be a tag team, so where do we stand this week? C’mon, Tony, you know Lio. Anything he does, he does big. He’s just here trying to take Dante on the highest flight possible, and that means showing him the way and that anything is possible if you have the right tools. All the things Matt Sydal hasn’t done since meeting Dante. Dante defends Sydal, saying he’s one of the best in the world. At what? Losing when it counts most? Lio gave Sydal a chance to prove himself and he failed. But do you know who is one of the best? Dante Martin. Lio wants to give Dante his chance to show that! He’d put money on Dante beating Sydal! Lio himself could beat Sydal!

Which is why they went to Tony Khan and got themselves their first tag match on AEW Rampage. Against who? The Sydal Brothers, of course. Lio is forcing Dante’s hand, will Dante be able to turn against the veterans who helped him to get in the good graces of the one investing in him?

AEW World Title Eliminator Tournament Opening Round: Lance Archer VS Eddie Kingston!

The American Dragon awaits in the next round, but either way he’s getting a heavy hitter! Will the Murderhawk Monster break the Mad King? Or will-

Oh wait! Kingston jumps Archer on stage! Fans fire up as Kingston throws hands and sends Archer to the ring! Archer hits back, they brawl around the way, and Archer ROCKS Kingston against the railing! Archer runs but Kingston tries to drop toehold! Archer stays up, he throws down hands, then grabs some random fan to scoop SLAM him onto Kingston! Wait, all that hair, that was Marcus Kross just trying to watch up close! Wrestlers aren’t even safe as just being spectators! Archer drags Kross up to the apron to choke grip and CHOKE SLAM onto Kingston!! This still isn’t even a match but Archer drags Kingston up and POSTS him!

Kingston staggers away, Archer stalks him and brings him around, but Kingston throws body shots and a CHOP! Archer doesn’t flinch, he ROCKS Kingston and then puts him in the ring. Archer finally gets in, and the bell rings! This is a match now as Archer elbows Kingston in the corner. Archer runs corner to corner to throw another elbow! And again! Archer drags Kingston up by his arm, stands him up in the corner and CHOPS him! But then Kingston pokes Archer in the eye! Archer ROCKS Kingston but Kingston leans on Archer. Archer puts Kingston up top, brings him up in the inverted crucifix, but Kingston fights free to get the DRAGON SLEEPER!

Archer stays up, Kingston pulls back on the hold and Archer drops to a knee! Kingston wants the arm but Archer throws hands. Kingston fires off on Archer, then runs, but Archer follows to BLINDSIDE LARIAT! Archer snarls as Kingston gets to the apron. Archer runs side to side as AEW goes picture in picture, to baseball slide dropkick! Kingston flops to the floor and Archer looks into the camera. Archer talks some smack but we can’t hear what he’s saying before he fetches Kingston. Archer gets Kingston up, bumps him off the timekeeper’s table, then follows Kingston as he staggers about. Archer puts Kingston against the apron to CHOP! Kingston CHOPS back!

Archer seethes, Kingston gets back in the ring, and Archer follows. Kingston CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS again! He pokes Archer in the eyes again, too! Then unleashes the MACHINE GUN CHOPS! Archer rakes Kingston’s eyes in return! Archer puts Kingston in a corner, the ref counts and Archer lets off. Archer digs his knee into Kingston at the corner, but again lets off as the ref counts. Kingston flounders, Archer ROCKS him with a forearm! Archer eggs Kingston on, pushes him around, but Kingston CHOPS again. Archer ROCKS Kingston again, stands him up in the corner, talks more trash but Kingston tries to claw at his face. Archer pushes Kingston’s hands away to CHOP!

Kingston staggers, Archer stalks him around the way, then stomps a mudhole into him. Archer digs his boots in again and thrashes about but the ref counts. Archer lets off, drags Kingston up and ROCKS him with more shots. Archer smirks as AEW returns to single picture, and he scoop SLAMS Kingston to a drop zone! Archer soaks up the heat as he goes up, VADER SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Archer argues the count but it was fair. Archer looms over Kingston, Kingston tries to fight from below and fans rally up. Kingston flounders up to SLAP Archer. Archer SLAPS Kingston back! Archer gives toying kicks, then digs his knee into Kingston’s head at the ropes!

The ref counts, Archer lets off, and Kingston flounders to another corner. Archer clamps onto Kingston’s face with both hands and pulls at the nose, but the ref counts. Archer lets off but he goes after Kingston’s face again. The ref counts, Archer tells him to shut up. Archer puts Kingston in the corner, goes corner to corner but Kingston dodges the elbow! Kingston runs in, but Archer BOOTS him down! Archer drags Kingston to center, goes back to the corner, and goes to the top rope for a MOONSAULT FLOP!! Archer even landed on his head as Kingston moved! Nese is still watching from the front row and he didn’t like that landing any better than Archer did.

The ref checks on Archer, Kingston gets to his feet, and Archer bails out. Kingston asks what’s up, the ref has him stay back. The medics check on Archer but Archer is somehow okay to continue. So Kingston Oklahoma Rolls! Kingston wins!!

Winner: Eddie Kingston, by pinfall (advances to the next round)

The Murderhawk Monster landing on his own head may have just saved Kingston! Will the Mad King be able to slay the American Dragon on next week’s Rampage?

The Men of the Year and Dan Lambert are in the ring!

Ethan Page says, “Oh, I suck?” Lambert and Scorpio Sky suck? NO! The Inner Circle SUCKS! They do! They lost twice to the Men of the Year. But here’s why they suck in detail. Jake Hager has an undefeated MMA record. Not that Ethan’s seen that. But he saw Scorpio pin Hager at Grand Slam! Santana & Ortiz? They’re “hard” and from the streets, but Men of the Year treat the streets like runways. They own every place they go, and they own the ring! Fans tell Ethan to STFU but he ignores them. Ethan moves on to Jericho, who isn’t here tonight, by the way. Which is a good thing, because there was enough time on the show to give Ethan the mic!

But Chris gets to do literally whatever he wants. Last week, after losing, Jericho got the mic to flirt with Paige VanZant? Really? That’s what you do after losing? Well don’t worry, the only celebrity Jericho’s kissing is Masvidal’s knee. So while Jericho is floating at sea, take a good look at what the future holds! How Ethan can own the room and the mic! THEY are the future of AEW, not “that PR nightmare” Sammy Guevara! But speaking of, Sammy walks out and says, “Enough!” Ethan, Ethan, Ethan. To borrow a phrase from Sammy’s friend and mentor, “Would you please shut the hell up!?” How long are we going to listen to a grown man complain about life being unfair?

Sammy gets it, he’s been there. Sometimes life sucks. But instead of bitching and moaning, Sammy worked his ass off and became TNT Champion! Sammy gets real. The reason Ethan isn’t any further in this company is the same reason he calls himself All Ego: because the only person who gives a s*it about what you’ve done is you. As for Lambert, as much as Sammy hates to hear him talk, he wants to hear the stipulation from the “fat faced dips*it.” Lambert tells the fans to not even think about it, but they chant that anyway! Lighten up, Sammy. Lambert’s proud of the little guy. We all know what Sammy can do in the ring, but look at him kill it on the mic! Maybe this will put an end to the rumors of Sammy suckin’ on the stick!

But if Sammy wants Lambert’s terms, he’ll make them simple enough for even Sammy to understand. He isn’t sure if Sammy’s brain has taken more damage from the 630 flips through tables, or the 630 pounds of gel it’s absorbed propping up that ridiculous hairdo! Sammy has his 10 Man Tag, Inner Circle Jerks VS American Top Team & Men of the Year at Full Gear! IF and ONLY IF Sammy comes to Dynamite next week and puts his TNT Championship against Ethan Page, aaand if by some miracle of God that he wins. But when Sammy loses, not only does he give up the TNT title, he quits the Inner Circle, FOREVER!!

Sammy wants to get it straight. If he loses next week, he loses the most important title in professional wrestling today, and also loses his best friends, the Inner Circle. “You’ve got yourself a deal, asshole! Under one condition: when I beat Ethan Page, I get to decide the three members of American Top Team that the Inner Circle gets to kick their ass at Full Gear!” See you bitches in Boston, and see the fans again in picture in picture. Well if he’s in such an accepting mood, here’s an idea! Accept the whooping they about to put on him! The Men of the Year head up the ramp, but Sammy fights them 2v1! Santana, Ortiz & Hager show up to run Men of the Year off!

The lines have been drawn and the stakes have been raised, will Sammy stay not just a champion but an Inner Circle OG? Or will everything fall apart as Ethan strokes his All Ego?

Jon Moxley speaks.

“Right now, I’m supposed to be yelling and screaming about how I’m gonna wreck everybody and win this tournament, and for sure that’s gonna happen. But that’s not really what’s on my mind right now. I’ll keep it real with y’all, always have. Right now, I’m thinking about my daughter. My daughter’s eyes. The other day, I look into her eyes and she stares right back into mine.” He put his broken pinkie out, she grabs onto it, and squeezes it for everything she’s got. It occurs to Mox in that moment that he actually doesn’t give a crap about any of this. He doesn’t care about this tournament, or the AEW World Championship.

He doesn’t care about the ratings, who said what on Twitter, or “The Demo.” Moxley cares about that moment. He wants to get home with his teeth in his head and his head on his shoulders, “and for that to happen, other people gotta get hurt.” It’d be a lot easier if Moxley was a mailman or a gym teacher, but this is what he does. This tournament, high stakes, the world title, this isn’t a ladder climbing contest. This is everyone going into a dark alley and only one comes out. So who do you think it is that comes out? Moxley’s message to everyone else in the tournament is, “I’ll get you before you get me. I’ma win this whole damn thing.”

Sammy Guevara returns for picture in picture.

Just as he promised, he has his cards! “Orlando, Florida! Another week, another huge waste of time! Big surprise! American “Plop” Team come out to run their mouths AGAIN! I say… it’s time to run mine! Ethan Page, next week on Dynamite! “The Spanish God” Sammy Guevara VS “Loose Pecs” Ethan Page. It’ll be the Boston TNT Party!” AEW goes to break, but Sammy’s said his piece. Will he make good on his word and on his deal with American Top Team?

The Dark Order speaks.

Alex Reynolds brings up how it was a tough loss to The Super Kliq. Evil Uno agrees, but if you think a single loss is going to stop them, you’re mistaken! Sadly mistaken! Oh hey, Hangman walks in! He wants to apologize for not catching up with then, and for what happened after he left. These guys were right. Yes, they were. Wait, which part of the Dark Order was right? The important thing is, they all were. Not everyone in the group is going to agree with each other, they each did what they thought was right in the moment, and that’s why he wants to thank them and apologize to them.

But if they’re going back after The Elite, well things are getting real close to Halloween. And if Hangman knows those guys, they’re going to have costumes. Not to be outdone, the Dark Order will have theirs! John Silver votes for Bambi! Evil Uno says he has plenty of weird costumes in his closet. Oh, they know that, Uno. Stu Grayson doesn’t want to go overboard but everyone is arguing over what to go with. What will we see from the Dark Order when they take on the Elite?

Jungle Boy VS Brandon Cutler!

Jurassic Express wants to payback on The Elite for what they did to Captain Charisma and Luchasaurus, but they’re having to start at the literal bottom of the ladder. Will Jungle Jack Perry get some semblance of revenge when he takes down the cold spray wielding stooge? Or will Cutler introduce JB to the Ice Age?

The bell rings, JB dodges Cutler and clotheslines him out of the ring! JB then DIVES and takes Cutler to the railing! JB puts Cutler in, Cutler scrambles to a corner but JB runs in. Cutler BOOTS JB, goes up top and fires up, copying “ADAM COLE~ BAYBAY!” only to Panama BACK DROP! Cutler clutches his back, he might need cold spray. He SLAPS JB, though, and then hypes himself up. JB SLAPS and SLAPS and SLAPS, then knees low! JB reels Cutler in to POWERBOMB him! Then he turns Cutler over for the SNARE TRAP!! Cutler taps, JB wins!!

Winner: Jungle Boy, by submission

That was a cold SNAP right there! But JB gets a mic to say, “Well that was a nice little warm-up. Good try, dude. To be honest, I’m feeling pretty good still. And I’m ready to go again. So, why don’t one of you Elite pieces of SH*T come down here right now?!” JB waits, but when no one shows, he just drags Cutler back into the SNARE TRAP!! Cutler suffers, shouts for help, but then Adam Cole storms out! “What? You think you’re so big and bad because you’re picking on Brandon? Jungle Boy, you’re an embarrassment.” If JB wants to fight the Elite, well he’s right here! They can go right here, right now!

Cole throws off the jacket and goes down the ramp, gets on the apron, but JB DECKS him! Wait, the Young Bucks sneak up from the crowd side! They get in, DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for JB!! It was all to sucker JB in! The Super Kliq drags JB out and throws him to the ramp, then they mug him for running his mouth! They get JB up to the stage, get an arm each, B T E TRIGGER!! Then they set him up for THE BOOM! But JB crawls after them? Cole drags JB back up, brings him over to commentary, “When you gonna learn, Jungle Boy? You are nobody! WE run AEW!” The Bucks give JB a kiss good night, then they get him up. They TOSS JB off the stage and into spare tables!!

Nick waves bye to JB and Matt wants a replay from the guys in the truck. Cole says “This is OUR world! Always has been, always will be!” They love the replay, and Cutler’s even back with the cold spray. Will The Elite continue to destroy all who stand in their way? Or will The Dark Order’s Evil Uno, Stu Grayson, Colt Cabana and John Silver manage to take them down a peg?

Miro speaks.

“My God, we’re out of time, and my wife needs her champion back. All the violence that is going to come through me is now a reflection on you. On your silence and your arrogance. How dare you ignore me? How dare you test me? My God, my God, how dare you forsake me? Let them make me fight 100 times and I will snap 100 necks!! God’s Forsaken Champion will become God’s favorite again! But not because you want it. But because I will leave you no choice. My road home starts now. And the powder of bones will follow me to her. And I will hold her with blood on my hands and horror in my eyes. And that’s on YOU.”

Cody Rhodes w/ Arn Anderson VS Malakai Black!

The American Nightmare’s first encounter with the Dark Father left him questioning his future. His second encounter left him in a dark place, covered with mist and shame. But this final confrontation could put the final nail in the coffin, or could bring him back to his former glory! Will Cody finally avenge his previous failures? Or is there no stopping the House of Black?

The bell rings and the two tie right up! They go around, Cody waistlocks but Malakai switches. Cody trips Malakai but he rolls Cody. Cody comes back for a takeover, but Malakai boots the figure four away. Malakai trips Cody, facelocks, but they end up on the ropes. They let off for just a moment, Cody hits a headlock takeover but Malakai headscissors. Cody kips free but roles reverse as Malakai headlocks for the takeover and Cody headscissors. Malakai kips free, fans rally and duel as Malakai ROCKS Cody! Cody fires back, they go back and forth but Cody throws toe kick after toe kick. Cody throws hands but Malakai fires off a strike fest and a leg sweep!

Malakai rolls Cody, Cody kicks him away. Malakai feints to KICK Cody in the chest! Malakai kicks again but Cody blocks, only for Malakai to roll him to a KNEEBAR! Cody fights up, has a toehold then steps and stomps on Malakai’s face! Fans are torn as Cody lets off. Cody brings Malakai up, throws haymakers then runs, but Malakai CLOBBERS him! Cover, ONE!! Malakai wraps on a chinlock and squeezes tight. Cody fights up, Arn coaches him but Malakai waistlocks. Cody blocks the lift, elbows free, goes to a corner but has to go up and over as Malakai runs in! POWERSLAM! Cover, TWO!

Fans fire up, Cody throws his weight belt to the fans! Fans cheer as a young boy lays claim to the souvenir! Cody gets the legs, Malakai digs his fingers into Cody’s eyes! Malakai scrambles away, and he goes out to bring out a chair from under the ring! The ref reprimands, but who is that coming down the way? Malakai throws the chair into the ring buy the Nightmare Family’s Brock Anderson and Lee Johnson are here! They surely want payback as much as Cody, and Malakai doesn’t see Cody get the chair! Malakai bails back out to avoid the attack! Malakai sees Brock and Big Shotty coming close, so he gets in to sucker punch Cody!

AEW goes picture in picture as the ref tells Malakai to put the chair down. But Brock snatches it away! Malakai glares at Brock and Brock puts the chair under the ring. Cody trips Malakai up for the FIGURE FOUR! Malakai endures, Cody puts as much pressure as he can on the hold, but Malakai crawls and drags his way over to the ropebreak! The ref counts, Cody lets Malakai go, and Cody gets the fans fired up more as he brings Malakai up. Cody whips, Malakai reverses but Cody tumbles up and out, only for Malakai to BOOT him! Malakai HIP TOSSES Cody in, then sweeps the legs! Roll-up, but Cody boots Malakai away, only for Malakai to PENALTY KICK! Cover, TWO!

Malakai seethes and hobbles his way back out of the ring. Malakai brings out a TABLE now! Cody hurries over but Malakai DECKS him! Malakai sets up the table by ringside, hits Cody again, and joins him on the apron. Malakai KICKS, Cody blocks and SUPERKICKS! Cody lines things up, CROSS RHODES through the table!! Both men crawl out of the wreckage as AEW returns to single picture. Cody slowly rises and fetches Malakai, and Malakai is busted open! But he still POSTS Cody! Malakai goes looking under the ring, Arn gets in the ring to see what’s going on. Fans chant, “GET THE GLOCK!” to Arn as Cody slowly flounders around outside. Cody is busted open now!

Malakai crawls, Cody crawls around the way to follow him. The ref checks both men but they’re both somehow okay to continue. Cody manages to walk and he hobbles over towards Malakai. Malakai stands up, and here comes Andrade El Idolo! He aims at Arn, BANG! That’s in return for yesterday, and Jose gets in, to get a SPINEBUSTER from the Enforcer! But Malakai gives Arn THE MIST!! But here comes Pac! He goes after Andrade! He KICKS Andrade up the ramp, Andrade hits back, and they fight to the tunnel! Cody gets in the ring, runs at Malakai and fires off hands! Malakai BOOTS back, reels him in and ROCKS him with a forearm! QUEBRADA!!

But Cody is right back up! CROSS RHODES OUTTA NOWHERE!! Cover, TWO?!?! Malakai survives and shocks Cody! Cody fires up, stomps Malakai over and over, then drags Malakai up to suplex. Malakai knees back, is on the apron and he puts Cody through ropes to KICK him! Cody drops, Malakai goes up, DIVING DOUBLE STOMPS!! And then a boot to the JUMP KNEE, HIGH ANGLE GERMAN! Bridging cover, TWO!!! Cody narrowly escapes and fans are going nuts! But Malakai just waits for Cody to rise, BLACK MASS!!! But Cody flops to the ropes! Cody clings for dear life as Malakai tries to bring him in, then kicks him away.

Cody runs corner to corner, Malakai tosses him up and out! Cody bounces off apron, but he still avoids Malakai’s moonsault! Cody DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp! Cody puts Malakai back in and springboards, SUPER CODY CUTTER!! Then the CROSS RHODES AGAIN! But Cody holds on, turns Malakai around, double underhooks for a TIGER DRIVER ’98!! Cover, Cody wins!!

Winner: Cody Rhodes, by pinfall

Bloodied as he is, Cody stands tall over his nemesis! Is this issue settled between him and Malakai Black? Or has it only escalated further?

My Thoughts:

Another great Saturday Dynamite from top to bottom. The tournament matches were all great, but it was pretty clear after Archer’s header off his moonsault, that Oklahoma Roll was just a quick way to wrap it up. Dustin VS Bryan was a great opener for the night, and it is great that Bryan keeps winning with different submissions. He has his signatures like the LeBelle Lock and Cattle Mutilation but he can adapt to beat whoever he is facing. Bryan VS Kingston is going to be a great match in the next round, but I’m leaning towards Bryan winning. Moxley has a great promo where he isn’t winning this tournament as a wild man but as a father who needs to do this for his family. He’s definitely going to beat Preston Vance and he’s definitely beating Orange Cassidy but who knows how the finals go.

Ruby VS Ford was really good but I wish they’d just kept Bunny away. That was a clumsy brass knuckle situation, and I feel like Ruby’s good enough to beat Ford with more than just a quick pin finish. But whatever, they plugged Red Velvet VS The Bunny for later on, so I guess that much makes sense. Ruby VS Kris is going to be great, but I think Ruby wins as the hot hand. Britt had another good promo and her taking on Tay Conti at Full Gear is going to be a very good match. Britt is certainly winning, because I feel like it is only Thunder Rosa who can take that title off Britt. As I’ve said, that probably means Jade Cargill takes the TBS title but Rosa goes after Britt at Revolution.

We also got great stuff from The Pinnacle, with FTR and Lucha Bros establishing the rematch for Full Gear and then MJF upping things both with Sting and Darby but also the dysfunction that’s building between him and Wardlow. Wardlow and Spears were already teaming together on Dark and Elevation but now it sounds like Spears is supposed to go where Wardlow goes, so Spears might be in Wardlow’s corner on Dark and Elevation now. Miro had another passionate promo, but there’d be a bit more weight to it if he was on Dark and Elevation just wrecking people. Not even scheduled in a match, just people that had matches or were going to have matches and he destroys them.

The “terms” put between American Top Team and Inner Circle are fairly lame for how big they’re trying to make this story feel. Sammy has to put up his title and win to force American Top Team to get in a match? And if he loses, then that’s basically American Top Team taking something away from Inner Circle and just getting to lord it over them? How are these MMA guys supposed to be badass if they’re finding ways to not fight AEW wrestlers? Sammy’s definitely winning, keeping the title and staying in the Inner Circle and then who knows what happens with the 5v5 at Full Gear. There’s much more intrigue in Lio trying to turn Dante against the Sydals and whether it’ll work.

Cool to see Tony Nese in the crowd as one of those “this person’s signing with us” moments. No idea what the Premier Athlete does but I’m not really sure what more he can do when he could never quite get his personality going in the WWE. Bobby Fish’s match was clearly a vehicle to get him to a feud, but what a surprise that it’s CM Punk. They’re going to have a great, strike heavy match for sure. There was good stuff from all the overlap with The Elite, the Dark Order and Jurassic Express. Of course JB squashes Cutler but of course the Elite punk him out and basically sideline him.

Hangman had a great moment with The Dark Order, and I really can’t wait to see what next week’s Halloween Dynamite will have just in terms of costumes. Omega calling out Hangman was great stuff, too, and I feel like that last line was a purposefully clunky one. They should’ve clearly gone with “Chicken shit” to play off #CowboyShit. Definitely expect Hangman to make a move during the 8 Man Tag, maybe even in his own costume so no one realizes it’s him until he takes some kind of mask off. And lastly, Cody VS Malakai was great stuff, the fans were red hot but still against Cody for the most part. It’s probably because they knew he was winning here to make up for his losses before.

I did like that Brock Anderson, Lee Johnson and even Andrade and Pac were part of things. Cody sure likes blood, because it was so obvious we were being distracted while he bladed. Not quite sure how things go from here, but I’m sure Cody will want a Full Gear match with Malakai, maybe even No Disqualification so they can do more than just the table spot and the chair tease.

My Score: 9/10

Tony Schiavone is in the ring!

Schiavone welcomes out the Blue League’s current points leader, Kyle Fletcher, and of course… Don Callis. But they’re not alone as the rest of the Don Callis Family makes their way out to the ring. Wait, shouldn’t Brian Cage be in New York for Final Battle…? Well anyway, Schiavone says there’s a lot of gold and- Callis takes the mic, and he says, “I have something important to say.” The fans boo and Schiavone excuses himself as Callis says the Don Callis Family are the TRUE One Percenters of professional wrestling! They prove it each and every day!

Murder Machines: The most feared tag team in the world! “Don Callis’ favorite wrestler,” Kyle Fletcher, shows every day why he is THE One Percent! He beat Will Ospreay! He beat Kazuchika Okada! And now, he’s gonna beat Daniel Garcia and win the Continental Classic! Callis hands the mic over to Kyle and Kyle says it might be true that last Saturday wasn’t the best day for Kyle, but anyone watching that match saw the clear bias from the officials in this company! The fans boo as Kyle claims there is an agenda in AEW to see the Don Callis Family NOT succeed. But it doesn’t matter, it changes nothing!

Kyle WILL be the winner of the 2024 Continental Classic. That brings Kyle to Daniel Garcia. “You wanna talk about restoring the feeling, Daniel? I couldn’t care less about your feelings! All I speak are facts! And the fact is, I am the hottest young prospect in this industry, and I will be the future of this whole place!” The fans boo more but Callis says one last thing he wants to say, is when you’re the One Percent, you’re not like the other 99! They are not like all of these fans! They are not like “the boys in the back,” like Mark Davis & Will Hobbs, “a couple of scab workers!” They’re not even in the same business, Hobbs!

And Callis has waited to get Hobbs on a PPV so that the world could watch why they call Konosuke Takeshita “The Alpha.” And Hobbs, YOU are not in the same business as Konosuke, and you find that out at Worlds End! But speaking of, here comes the Powerhouse! Will he and Dunkzilla finish things with the Don Callis Family? Or will the AEW International and ROH World TV Champions get even for last week?

Konosuke Takeshita & Brian Cage w/ Don Callis VS “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs & Mark Davis!

The Alpha slam dunks on Dunkzilla, and now he has 8 days to prepare for the Powerhouse! Will Konosuke hold onto his International Championship against Hobbs? Or will taking that title be the perfect payback?

In steps Penelope Ford, and Mrs. Superbad says yes, she was simply observing. But Ford couldn’t help but notice that she and Harley share a lot of similar… facets. Harley asks how much Ford’s cost. Uh, no, not those…

Ford meant that she hasn’t had such a good 2024, either. So from The Bad Girl to the… Harley doesn’t have a good nickname yet. Well, don’t worry about it. Ford will watch Harley’s back and Harley will watch Ford’s. Wait, is something on Harley’s back? No, Harley… Just good luck. FEEL THE WRATH OF HARLEY CAMERON! No, she was being nice to you, Harley. Cover, TWO! The fans fire up but Harley grows frustrated. The fans rally while Harley waistlocks, but Willow switches! Harley kicks free to switch back, but Willow ELBOWS Harley back! Willow fireman’s carries, storms around, but Harley pops up! Harley fires down elbows, then victory rolls, TWO! Willow escapes and ROCKS Harley! Fireman’s carry, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Cover, TWO!

Harley survives but Willow roars! The fans fire up as the straps come down! Willow gut wrenches for the BABE WITH THE POWER BOMB!! Cover, Willow wins!

Hug It Out!” Kris says no, she doesn’t feel like it’s the right time. Kris lets Willow have the ring, is this proof that the #BornAgainKristen isn’t just a nickname?

Team Triple J speaks backstage.

From Wembley Stadium to Double J being in the Owen Hart Cup, some true career highlights that he will cherish forever. But Jarrett doesn’t like looking in the rearview mirror, he likes to look ahead. Next week, he’s not bringing resolutions, he’s bringing a game plan for 2025! What does the Last Outlaw have in store for himself and the team in the New Year?

AEW Continental Classic, Gold League: Brody King VS Komander!

Winner: Brody King, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Komander earns 0)

If it wasn’t clear before, this was a painful punctuation mark, Komander is mathematically ELIMINATED from the semifinals. However, Komander’s final C2 match is Dynamite’s Miracle on 34th Street against Claudio Castagnoli! Can Komander be the biggest spoiler of this entire tournament? Can Brody prove to everyone in the Gold League that the House Always Wins?

My Thoughts:

A great Rampage here for Holiday Bash, though some clear redundancies from last week’s Winter is Coming edition. We got another group Don Callis Promo, and we barely got anything different from Callis and Kyle. The tag match’s only changes were Cage switching in for Archer, even though Cage is in reality defending his ROH World TV Championship in the Hammerstein Ballroom for Final Battle, and then the Callis Family wins this time so Hobbs and Konosuke can be even going towards Worlds End. Now, Konosuke could very well retain the International Championship at Worlds End because NJPW is totally open to Konosuke Takeshita VS Shingo Takagi being Winner Takes All, AEW International and NEVER Openweight titles on the line together.

Lio & Action of course won their match, but the real purpose was to get a confrontation out of them, Private Party and OG Top Flight, Darius & Dante. Good stuff, and it teases anywhere between a Triple Threat to Lio & Action VS Darius & Dante Round 2. Very good promo from Triple J to set up for something, anything really, for 2025. Fight for the Fallen can even be the start of whatever that plan is as part of the “mother of all streams.” And good stuff with the women’s division tonight. Ford & Harley makes a natural duo now given their names, and Willow and Kris could possibly reunite now that Kris is a Face again. That wouldn’t really make up for the weird fumble in the middle where Tony Khan just wanted Kris to get away from Stokely, but hey, this story itself could be really well done.

And great stuff out of Brody VS Komander, really got the drama going before the end. I mean, we all knew Komander was out of the running before tonight, and was most certainly taking the loss here, but Komander got to really show some grit. And now, five people at 6 points going into the final round, they’re really adding great drama to Gold League. Collision tomorrow and then Dynamite Miracle on 34th Street will be some great stuff, but I still think Ospreay should be one of the semifinalists, the second spot can be whoever they want.

My Score: 8.8/10

Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy and Jay White.

Renee Paquette is with Freshly Squeezed and The Switchblade, and says that ahead of their main event Trios match where they team up with Hangman Page, they also must be thinking about their Fatal 4 Way match for the AEW World Championship at Worlds End. Are they more focused on the Death Riders tonight? Or more on each other? Cassidy’s about to speak when White asks Renee to bring the mic over to him. White says Cassidy already gave them a hell of a pep talk in the locker room so he’s all talked out. Where is our focus? Is it on the Death Riders tonight? Is it on each other? Is it on Worlds End?

Make no mistake, Renee, and Mr. Cassidy, White’s focus is on the AEW World Championship. But White knows that they have to make it to Worlds End, so that means relying on people he usually doesn’t rely on. He has no Bang Bang Gang, so that makes he has to rely on the likes of… Orange. And on the likes of Hangman Adam Page. But no, no, no, he is not so stupid to rely on that guy, because he’s only good at one thing: Letting himself and everyone around him down time and time again! So if there is one man they do not need on this team, it is H- HEY! There he is! Hangman Page walks into the room and White does a 180 on his attitude.

Hangman tells White to shut his mouth and listen up. Tonight, Moxley is not White’s nor is he Cassidy’s. Tonight, the champion belongs to Hangman! The Cowboy heads out and White says, “Aye, aye, captain! At least you brought your black jacket so we’re matching tonight! C’mon, partner!” White heads after Hangman, and Cassidy sighs as he puts on his sunglasses. Can the Good, the Bad & the Freshly Squeezed make it past Moxley and his Death Riders? Or will The Maniac, The Decoder & The Bastard use this dysfunction to tear them down?

Darby Allin speaks.

“Darby Allin, Will Ospreay. It’s showtime.”

Will Ospreay speaks.

“Oi, oi, Washington, DC! You’re in for a treat tonight, for the C2 rolls on, and you get to witness an elite dream match as the Aerial Assassin, Will Ospreay, goes one-on-one with Darby Allin. And while I am grateful for saving my neck last week, sir, don’t let that stand in the way because it’s time for warfare, bruv. And no one fairs better in warfare than the Assassin. So allow me to show you why my name is Will Ospreay, and why I am on another level.” Both men need this win if they want to head for Worlds End, who will be one step closer to those semifinals?

AEW TBS Championship: Mercedes Mone VS Anna Jay!

The CEO is still #TwoBeltsMone after holding onto the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship through NJPW Strong Style Evolved. But the walls are really closing in as Mina Shirakawa issued a challenge right after that match, meaning Mone has a date for WrestleDynasty! But will Mone still be the “greatest TBS Champion ever” after facing the Queenslayer? Or will Anna finally make herself the Star of the Show?

The introductions are made, the teal belt is raised, and we see who has gold for Christmas!

The bell rings and the fans rally and duel. Mone and Anna circle, and Mone offers a handshake? Anna takes it, but then MOne SLAPS her! Anna should’ve known better, but she chases Mone to ropes! Mone uses those as a defense, and then Anna backs off. Mone keeps hiding in the ropes but Anna storms up on her. Mone gets around and throws Anna down! Cover, ONE, but Mone clamps on with a chinlock. Anna endures and fights up to throw body shots. Anna powers up and out, but Mone runs her over! Mone does her dance, then covers, ONE as Anna goes Matrix! Mone gets Anna up for Dos Amigas! Mone drags Anna up again, THREE AMIGAS! The fans are torn but Mone is all smiles. Mone drags Anna into the drop zone then goes up a corner. Mone aims, FROG SPLASH FLOPS as Anna moves! Anna hurries to wrench and HOOK KICK! Anna runs to ROLLING NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Mone survives and Anna is frustrated already. Anna runs up to forearm SMASH! Anna puts Mone up top, then wrenches to DANGEROUS JAY KICK!

Anna crosses Mone’s arms, but Mone uses that to get Anna in a HANGING STRAITJACKET! The ref counts, Mone sets Anna down, but she holds on to jump around and STRAITJACKET BACKSTABBER! Cover, TWO! Now Mone is frustrated but she drags Anna up. Mone snapmares Anna, runs and METEORAS! Cover, TWO! The fans continue to duel as Anna stays in this. Mone clamps onto Anna and she puts the straitjacket back on! Mone drags Anna from the ropes, stands her up, but Anna RAMS Mone into buckles! But Mone throws Anna down by her hair! Mone goes up, METEORA! Cover, TWO! Mone is furious but Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Mone huffs ‘n’ puffs as she storms around. Anna goes to a corner, but Mone storms up to dig her boots in! The ref counts, Mone lets off, but then she steps back on Anna’s face! Mone lets off as the ref counts, and she brings Anna up for a scoop and SLAM! Cover, TWO! Mone is still upset but she mocks the Anna Jay fans in DC. Mone clamps on with a chinlock and she grinds Anna down. Anna endures, fights up, and she THRWOS Mone away! Mone comes back to DROPKICK Anna down! Cover, TWO! Mone is growing frustrated again, so she KNEES Anna in the back, and clamps on a chinlock! Anna endures as she’s bent back against the knee.

Anna reaches out, fights up, and JAWBREAKERS free! Mone staggers, swings, but into a waistlock! O’Conner Roll, and then QUEENSLAYER SLEEPER! Mone flails and reaches out, then she kicks off a corner! Mone rolls it back to a cover, TWO! Mone KNEES Anna in the back! Cover, TWO! Mone is beside herself but she brings Anna up and in. Back suplex, but Anna lands out! BACKSTABBER! Mone writhes from tasting one of her favorite moves, and she goes to a corner. Holiday Bash returns to single picture, Anna runs up, but Mone dodges the leg lariat! Mone fires forearms, then goes corner to corner. But Anna goes up, knees hit buckles!

Anna adjusts, she FLYING BLOCKBUSTERS! Cover, TWO! Mone survives and Anna grows frustrated. Anna runs up at the corner, LEG LARIAT! Anna goes side to side, another LEG LARIAT! Then Anna goes the other way, LEG LARIAT! A hattrick of her own and Anna puts Mone up top! DANGEROUS JAY KICK! ICONOCLASM! Anna holds on, YANKS Mone right into the Gory Especial, GORY BOMB!! Cover, ROPEBREAK!! Mone survives by fingertips and Anna can’t believe it! The fans rally and duel as hard as they can while Anna grabs legs. Mone kicks Anna away then slips out to the apron. But Anna avoids the shoulder to KNEE LIFT!

Anna spins to LEG LARIAT! And then HOTSHOT NECKBREAKER! Mone flounders, Anna drags her up with a QUEENSLAYER! Anna SLINGS Mone around, and she has the body scissors! Mone is flailing, Mone is fading, but then she BITES Anna’s arm! Anna lets Mone free while fans boo. Mone grabs that arm and wrangles Anna down! STATEMENT MAKER CROSSFACE!! Anna endures, kicks around, and she pushes into a cover! TWO and Mone still has the CROSSFACE! Anna gets her arm free and crawls over! ROPEBREAK!! But then Anna kicks off ropes to jackknife bridge! TWO as Mone bridges!

Mone has Anna in a Gory Especial! But Anna is taller, and she reaches the mat to RAM Mone into buckle! Anna RAMS Mone in again, then drops under to sunset flip! TWO! Mone runs and SUNSET BUCKLE BOMBS! Mone keeps moving, METEORA!! Mone reels Anna in for her Gory Especial, and the MONEY MAKER!! Cover, MONE WINS!

Winner: Mercedes Mone, by pinfall (still AEW TBS Champion)

Anna made Mone work for it, but Mone still earned this win! Kris Statlander is watching in the back, just as she promised she would. Will the #BornAgainKristen make sure Mone is down a title at Worlds End?

FTR speaks.

Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler were at home in Asheville, North Carolina, and Cash says it has been a few days since what happened to them on Collision. And it was over nothing. FTR said they had no problems with the Death Riders. They may not agree with the Death Riders’ methods, and they don’t disagree with the message. AEW does need to change for the better, some people need to be forced into that change. But FTR stopped them from poisoning a man! They weren’t going to sit back and watch them pour cleaning solution down a human being’s throat. That is all they did. And yet that gets them blindfolded, dragged outside, and the crap kicked out of them, left for dead in the cold…

As they were lying on the concrete, Dax was thinking, “What is a life after wrestling? Is there a life after wrestling for FTR?” They built their whole lives around this one thing, so what else is there for them to do? They got off the phone with Doc Sampson just before filming this. Doc says he won’t medically cleared them for the rest of the year. So from now until January 1st, Death Riders better not sleep, because FTR will show up at their doorstep. That won’t be good for them or their families. But on January 1st, Asheville, NC, FTR will be there. They will be in that ring, they will be cleared, and they will fight the Death Riders.

By the way, they won’t be coming alone. #TopGuysOut. Who could Dax & Cash be hinting at as allies against Moxley and his minions?

MJF is here!

Washington, DC is not all that happy to see Maxwell Jacob Friedman going to the ring with a mic in hand, even if he’s dressed in his Hannukah suit. MJF has them cut his music, and he takes a moment to hear all the booing. “Oh, you don’t like me, huh, guys? Good thing I don’t care about the opinions of a bunch of disgustings from DC. I mean, if I did care about your opinion, I wouldn’t have signed on to be an AEW wrestler, I would’ve signed on to become a part of your whack-ass Washington Wizards. Oh, it’s my fault they suck? That’s my fault? I’m sorry.” Some fans actually chant, “Wizards Suck! Wizards Suck!”

MJF says let’s face it, guys. He’s no Scrooge. For crying out loud, it’s the most wonderful time~ of the year~! MJF says pretty soon, the most important holiday, which is part of the most important religion, is coming up. And yes, you guessed it, it’s Hannukah. And if you don’t celebrate that, well sorry, Santa is not real and MJF is not sorry for saying it. The fans chant for “SANTA! SANTA!” which confuses MJF. Santa didn’t give them a lump of coal, it was because their parents were too poor to get real gifts. So everyone just pipe down a bit, okay? The fans boo but MJF continues.

MJF says Hannukah is all about giving, so he is feeling rather philanthropic. Not that anyone in this crowd knows what that means. MJF is about to get a bit emotional, but he wants to talk about a fundraiser he has started. Sorry, he might cry, give him a second. MJF gets fake tears going as he asks for the sad music. The sad piano music plays, and MJF looks into the camera. “Picture this. There’s a small child sitting across from you. It is starving, it needs nourishment, it needs food. Now picture that that small child is this baybay.” A clearly doctored photo of Adam Cole appears on screen, making him look very scrawny.

MJF knows it is hard to look at but don’t avert your eyes. Cut the music, please. The music stops and MJF says right now, if you wanna help the “freakishly small, yellow baybay, all you have to do is scan the QR code you see on your screen so you can buy the Worlds End PPV this Saturday, December 28th. Guys, I’m talking, would you please shut the hell up? Unreal! To think I’m opening up to you hear. And if you buy that PPV, a part of your money will go towards my foundation to help put this small yellow child out of his misery. And for that, and for the fact that I’m better than you, you can thank me later!”

MJF drops the mic but Cole is on the tron! Adam Cole says look! Now he’s the one on the big screen while MJF is the one in the ring, looking like an idiot. As we all know, it is Cole VS MJF for the Dynamite Diamond Ring at Worlds End. And Cole wants to give MJF a heads up. He just had a meeting with Tony Khan. And because Cole knows how badly MJF wants to get his hands on his diamond ring. And if MJF wants to grab that ring before the bell rings, he’ll have to earn it. There are two men who will be ringside to make sure that doesn’t happen. The Kingdom step in, and Adam Cole says MJF will have nowhere to run, and nowhere to hide.

MJF is a dead man and Cole will finally finish this at Worlds End! BOOM. Oh, wait, hold on. Cole must be forgetting something. There was one more thing he wanted to say. Oh, right! Max, is Cole kicking your ass yet? MJF is confused, but surprise! Adam Cole is already in the ring! That video is prerecorded! MJF turns around, and Cole DECKS him! The fans fire up as Cole rains down fists on MJF! MJF pushes Cole away but Cole keeps him from getting away! SUPERKICK! MJF is down, but Cole drags him up and goes to a corner! The fans fire up for the PANAMA- NO, MJF scrambles out of the ring!

MJF gets away by the skin of his teeth, but will Cole kick those teeth down his throat and finally end the Dynamite Diamond Win Streak?

Jamie Hayter speaks.

“You can’t fight what you don’t see. But I see you exactly for what you are, Julia: a coward. Last Saturday on Collision, you decided to finally show up. But was it face to face? No, ma’am. It was when I was beat, when I was tired, and you used your tricks to attack me from behind. That’s a sneaky, classless move, Julia. Message sent. I know you’re listening, Julia, so here’s my message to you. Fight for the Fallen. I’m gonna serve you a dish best served cold. I’m gonna drop you on your head, and I’m gonna serve you up a heavy dose of Hayterade. See you then, mate.” Will Hayter kick off the New Year by crushing Julia Hart?

Hook & Katsuyori Shibata VS Christian Cage & Nick Wayne w/ The Patriarchy!

The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil wants revenge for what The Patriarchy did to his father, Taz, and this could be a start. Will The Wrestler’s return to AEW be just the thing? Or will Captain Charisma and The Prodigy look to #SendHook home emptyhanded?

Nick drags Hook up to wrench and ELBOW BREAKER! Cover, TWO! Nick watches Hook writhe and crawl to a corner, then storms up on him. Nick drags Hook up to bump him off buckles. Tag to Christian and they mug Hook, going after that bad arm! Christian SLAMS the bad arm against buckles! Christian then throws Hook down, and he STOMPS the arm! Hook writhes but Christian soaks up the heat while he flexes. Christian drags Hook up but Hook fires shots with the good arm! Hook runs, but into a kick! Christian hits an ARMBAR DDT! Cover, TWO! Christian clamps onto the bad arm with a cording hold!

Nick drags Hook up to whip him hard into a corner! Hook flounders against ropes but Nick storms up on him. Nick whips Hook hard into another corner! Christian taunts Hook while Nick storms over to him. Nick snapmares Hook, isolates the bad arm, then STOMPS it! Hook writhes more while Holiday Bash returns to single picture. Christian drops knees on the bad arm, on the face, and then fakes a stomp to scuff Hook!

The fans boo but Nick flexes, just like Christian. Nick brings Hook up, but Hook hits an EXPLODER! The fans fire up while both men are down! The ref starts a standing count while both men stir. They both crawl, hot tag to Shibata! Shibata BOOTS Nick, DECKS Christian, and then BOOTS Nick in a corner! Shibata CHOPS Nick! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! CHOPS! MACHINE GUN CHOPS! BREAKING NEWS for Christmas Collision!

As a reminder, it will be LIVE coast to coast on TNT this Saturday, 8 PM Eastern or whenever NCAA College Football Playoff coverage ends. That said, Adam Cole may have gotten one over on MJF tonight, but he and MJF are going to be face to face live and in person for final words before Worlds End. Plus, the Continental Classic will keep things cheery and bright as Darby Allin will face Claudio Castagnoli, and Will Ospreay will face Ricochet! Rivals all face off, who will look to take over Gold League? And in Blue League, Mark Briscoe battles The Beast Mortos while Daniel Garcia faces Shelton Benjamin! Will the Sussex County Chicken survive the menacing minotaur? Will Red Death live up to the Standard of Excellence?

Chris Jericho speaks.

“I was once known as The King of the World. And everybody wants to rule the world. But every king needs a throne from which to rule. A castle, a capital, a city. And there is no better perch, no greater vantage point from which to rule the world than New York City. From the urine soaked sidewalks of Broadway to the tear-filled potholes of Jamaica Queens. From the brownstones of Tribeca to the poshest penthouses of Spanish Harlem. From the lowliest of subjects, the ubiquitous rats, to the prominent powerbrokers and popstars, paparazzi in their wake, all have anointed me, Chris Jericho, the King of New York! And I’ll be damned if I let anyone take my crown.”

The Learning Tree thinks highly of himself as always, but he better take Final Battle seriously! Friday, December 20th, Jericho defends the ROH World Heavyweight Championship against Matt Cardona, who is #AlwayZReady! Will “The Complete” Cardona take away the Nueve’s title?

Mariah May speaks.

“Thunder Rosa. When you were working as a social worker, why did you wanna become a wrestler? Was it to make your family proud? Cute. A hero is just a dreamer who doesn’t realize they’re dreaming. I’m no hero. I spent my entire career just looking out for me, and I’d say it’s served me pretty well. How dare you say this Women’s Division is alive and well when I’ve eclipsed everyone here, just by being me. And if I was here four years ago, you wouldn’t have even been hired. So let’s do your little Tijuana Street Fight so you can go on about your heritage and your culture, and please bring your father. I would love to end two generations in one night.

“And Papa Rosa? Does being a failure run in the family? I won’t be bringing my father to Worlds End. I don’t want him to se what I’m going to do.” The Glamour has sent her ultimatum, but will she regret running her mouth?

Tony Schiavone is in the ring.

Schiavone says that later tonight, we will see Will Ospreay VS Darby Allin in the Continental Classic. But Ospreay has his work cut out for him as live this Saturday on Christmas Collision, in the Hammerstein Ballroom, he will face this man! Let’s welcome in Ricochet! The fans fire up as The One & Only makes his way to the ring. Schiavone congratulates Ricochet on his six points so far, and says he could advance to Orlando, Florida. But there has been perhaps a change in attitude and demeanor lately. Ricochet says, “But didn’t it look real good on me, though?” Schiavone says sure, but wait! Here comes the Hurt Business!

Ricochet is a little surprised, and maybe a little worried. Montel Vontavious Porter, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin all go to the ring and fans sing along, “We Hurt People! We Hurt People!” Ricochet nervously asks what’s up, and MVP brings him in close. Ricochet says everyone looks great. They collectively look great! But honestly, he’s happy they’re here. He wants to ask them if they saw how he beat the brakes off of Komander. MVP says yeah, they saw that. Then did they see him handle Brody King? Yeah, they saw that. And Ricochet has six points! Ricochet figures after tonight, Shelton might have six points, and they could face each other in the near future.

Ricochet says they could keep this business on lock. Wow, you don’t say? Absolutely! Facts! Because the last two guys Ricochet has to face, they’re facing each other tonight, Ospreay and Darby. So Ricochet is going to watch that. And then Saturday, he has Ospreay. Ospreay will see that different side of Ricochet, you feeling him? MVP says yeah, he’s feeling it. Does Ricochet still have the business card? MVP wants to see it. Ricochet brings the card out, and Lashley grabs him by the neck! MVP takes the card, and he RIPS IT UP! MVP has revoked his invitation, and he says nobody likes a kiss ass. Lashley lets Ricochet go, straightens the suit out, and pats Ricochet on the back.

Ricochet leaves the ring, and he says they can talk about this later. MVP tells Shelton that he’s got business to handle, so go hurt somebody. MVP & Lashley fist bump with Shelton before Lashley heads out per Continental Classic rules.  MVP joins commentary to watch this closely, will the Standard of Excellence be able to bring down The Beast Mortos?

AEW Continental Classic, Blue League: Shelton Benjamin VS The Beast Mortos!

The fans fire up even more while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Back to railing! Back to apron! Then into steel steps! Shelton leaves Mortos behind to the mercy of the count. Mortos writhes at 4 of 10, sits up at 6, but hobbles to his feet at 7. Mortos goes to a corner, Shelton runs in, STEP-UP KNEE! Mortos staggers around, the fans want that again, so Shelton runs back in, STEP-UP KNEE! Shelton wrenches and clinches, HURT FALL! Cover, Shelton wins!

Winner: Shelton Benjamin, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Mortos earns 0)

MVP says nice doing business with everyone, and both he and Lashley celebrate with Shelton. But they’re not done, as they beat up on Mortos! The fans boo as The All Mighty beats up on Mortos, but MVP says Mortos could use a little more of what Shelton gave him during the match. Show ’em what we do! Shelton drags Mortos up, reels him back in, and GERMAN SUPLEXES! Mortos sputters and MVP tells Daniel Garcia, this is what you have to look forward to on Saturday! But wait! Garcia is here! Garcia has them cut the music so he can tell MVP, “I’m not stupid, I can do the math. There’s three of y’all and one of me.”

Garcia knows what’d happen if he came to the ring on his own. But he doesn’t care, because everyone in DC wants to see a fight tonight! Let’s get it! But wait, MARK BRISCOE is here! The Sussex County Chicken won’t let Garcia fight alone, so they brawl with Shelton and Lashley! But Lashley shoves Garcia back and CLOBBERS him! MVP CRACKS his cane on Briscoe’s back! MILE HIGH SPINEBUSTER for Garcia, and a LARIAT for Briscoe! Then Lashley sets Mark up for Shelton’s SUPERKICK! MVP hands the TNT Championship to Shelton, they’re clearly planning things beyond the C2. Will Shelton snatch himself a golden ticket one way or another this Saturday?

Backstage interview with Ricochet.

Renee is now with The One & Only and asks about that interaction in the ring. It seems business with The Hurt Syndicate is off the table. Ricochet says honestly, he doesn’t know. They gave him the card, he thought he was doing what they wanted, but… Ricochet is a bit frazzled but he says that we’re not going to worry about that. The Syndicate can do what they do. But for Ricochet, he’ll worry about the Continental Classic. Like he said out there, “ya boy’s already got 6 points.” But on Saturday, he steps into the ring with one of the main reasons he even came to AEW, and that is Will Ospreay.

Ricochet says it is funny. He didn’t come to AEW just to step into the ring with Ospreay. He came here to shut the world up and prove he can beat Will Ospreay. And so, as he said, he is going to have his eyes glued to this next match, HAHA~~! But then he turns around and Swerve Strickland is there, as is Prince Nana sipping his coffee. Nana nods and Swerve says, “What up, turd?” Oh, cute, call him a turd. The fans are loudly chanting, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” as Swerve says when Ricochet first showed up, it was only a matter of time before the real Rico- No, the real Trevor showed himself.

Oh, going there, huh? Yeah. But Swerve says in the 14 years of knowing Ricochet, Swerve thought Ricochet had changed. But turns out, no, that’s still the same ol’ Trevor: a follower. Hate to tell you, Ricochet, but that won’t work here. Because AEW is whose house? Swerve’s House! Ricochet laughs that off and says he was wondering how long it’d take for him to hear that stuff. He’s glad Swerve brought that. But he also knows the real Swerve. And Swerve didn’t win the C2, now did he? So Ricochet knows it will eat Swerve up when Ricochet does. HAHA~! Ricochet leaves and Swerve says that’s why Ricochet’s still bald.

But win, lose or draw for Ricochet, will Swerve be waiting on the other side of Worlds End with the Killshot?

RJ City presents Toni Storm: Portrait of a Rockstar.

Toni Storm introduces herself to RJ, even though they’ve met… She’s so excited, look at all the lights and cameras. So cool. RJ asks Toni to explain where she’s been. Toni says she’s from Gold Coast, Australia, and growing up, she loved three things: Wrestling, rock music, and the grind. She would grind it out on the indies any chance she got. And now it’s led her hear to AEW! Uh, what? Yeah, hard to believe, huh? Okay, but uh, what about her history with AEW? Toni says she’s watched every show since the start, and she cannot believe she’s finally made it. Um, okay… What about her being a THREE-TIME AEW Women’s World Champion?

Toni laughs and says it’s a bit early to be thinking about that, right? But thank you. Okay, okay, what if he were to say a name like Saraya? Legend! Mercedes Mone? Icon! Mariah May? Toni takes a breath, and says, “Best in the business today.” RJ is exasperated. What if he were to say, “Timeless?” Timeless Toni Storm! No, no, the catchphrase is the other way around. It’s #ToniTime! Right? Rock ‘n’ roll fingers! Toni Time! Okay, great talking with you! Toni hugs RJ, heads out, and leaves RJ absolutely speechless. Is Toni alright?

Winner: Darby Allin, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Ospreay earns 0)

“Relentless” is almost not enough to describe Darby Allin! This epic first-time-ever match also gives us quite the traffic jam in Gold League! FOUR men stand at 2-1 with 6 points, and we will see them all face off on Christmas Collision! Will Ospreay VS Ricochet, Darby Allin VS Claudio Castagnoli, who will be the two that come out ahead? But speaking of the Death Riders, here they come! They have their main event Six Man Tag, but the Swiss Cyborg is eyeing his next target. Will Darby stick it to the Death Riders when he makes sure Claudio does NOT make it to Worlds End?

Six Man Tag: The Death Riders VS Orange Cassidy, Jay White & Hangman Page!

AEW returns, and while Darby Allin was allowed to leave unscathed, Jon Moxley, Wheeler Yuta & Pac will certainly deal plenty of damage to all three contenders. Will the Death Riders be riding high on the road to Orlando? Or will Freshly Squeezed, The Switchblade & The Blackhat Cowboy actually make a formidable trio?

The teams sort out and Hangman starts against Yuta. The bell rings but Hangman of course wants Moxley to man up and tag in. Yuta says no way, so Hangman tags Cassidy. The fans boo and Hangman argues with Jay White, but Cassidy throws his sunglasses at Yuta before firing off fists! Yuta fires back, the fans fire up as Cassidy fires a flurry! Hangman still tags in, but so does Yuta! Hangman CLOBBERS Yuta, DECKS Pac, and then BOOTS Yuta!

Hangman triangle jumps to LARIAT Pac! Hangman dodges Yuta to scoop and FALL AWAY SLAM! Hangman kips up, stares Moxley down, then goes out after Pac. Hangman pushes Pac aside to go for Moxley but Marina Shafir stands in the way. She’s a problem as always, but Yuta CLUBS Hangman on the back! Yuta puts Hangman in, then runs up, but into a fireman’s carry! Yuta fights free, runs, but into a LARIAT! Hangman snarls and he TOSSES Yuta to the corner. Hangman dares Moxley to man up and tag in! Moxley grins, but then Jay White tags in!? The fans are torn while Hangman and White argue about this.

The ref tells Hangman he has to step out so Hangman steps out. And then he LEAVES! Hangman already made it clear he only cared so long as he got to beat up Death Riders, have White’s antics just cost the team? Moxley does tag in and he runs up on White! White clinches but Moxley slips free! White BLASTS Yuta and Pac to deny Moxley an escape, but Moxley CLOBBERS White! Moxley argues with the ref now, and Claudio UPPERCUTS Cassidy! The fans boo but then Moxley gives White a PILEDRIVER! Death Riders are in control as Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Moxley drags White toa  cover, TWO!! White barely gets his arm up, but Moxley drags him around. Moxley puts White in the corner, tags Pac, and the Death Riders mug White. Moxley ROCKS White, CLAWS White’s back, then CLAWS him again! Moxley brings White up to climb the corner. Moxley rains down fists, Claudio gets a cheap shot on Cassidy, and Moxley goes all the way to TEN! Moxley argues with the ref now, and Claudio gets a cheap shot on White! Moxley storms up on White while the Holiday Bash returns to single picture. Moxley drags White up, turns him, and hits a NECKBREAKER!

Tag to Yuta and Yuta drags White around, to then drop a KNEE! Yuta kneels on White’s neck, waits for the ref to count, and then steps off at 4. Yuta scuffs White, White rises up to CHOP! Pac staggers up, into the sleeper! CUTTHROAT PLEX! The fans fire up and White says BANG. White runs, Claudio steps in the way, but White still heads back for Pac. Pac dodges to SNAP GERMAN! Pac shakes out the stars while White flounders.

Pac crawls over, tag to Moxley. Cassidy rises, but he’s still so far away! Moxley drags White up, talks trash, but White slips around! CUTTHROAT PLEX! Moxley roars as he rises up, but White gets around again! DDT!! Moxley is dazed, White flounders over, hot tag to Cassidy! Cassidy goes up to DEEP IMPACT! The fans fire up and Cassidy “unleashes” those kicks! Then he actually kicks and stomps away on Moxley! Cassidy runs, but he ducks ‘n’ dodges first before he tilt-o-whirl DDTS! And probably not on purpose… Pac returns, Hangman dodges, White gets Pac with BLADERUNNER!! White and Hangman argue about this, but Cassidy sighs. Moxley rolls Cassidy up! Holding the waistband!! DEATH RIDERS WIN!!

Winners: Death Riders, by pinfall

White and Hangman were so busy with each other, they didn’t save their teammate! Cassidy gets pissed with both of them, but now it doesn’t matter because Worlds End is every man for themselves. But wait, the Death Riders are flanking the ring, and Moxley has a chair! Cassidy, White & Hangman realize this, and now they stand back-to-back-to-back. They finally fight as a united front as they throw hands on the Death Riders! Cassidy DECKS Pac, White DECKS Claudio and Hangman DECKS Moxley! The Death Riders and their enemies brawl on the outside, but Marina makes sure Moxley gets outta there!

ORANGE PUNCH for Pac! Hangman and Yuta fire hands now and Hangman sends Yuta into railing! Hangman still wants to take out Moxley, but so do White and Cassidy. Will Worlds End be where Moxley’s reign of terror ends? Or will The Maniac AEW World Champion use all of his enemies against each other like he did tonight?

My Thoughts:

A great Dynamite here, a lot of action but also a lot of set-up for the following weeks. Great promo from FTR to give us a kayfabe reason for them to take time off for two weeks. Granted, everyone is getting time off next week because the Christmas episode is being recorded this weekend for that big Hammerstein Ballroom booking. But anyway, FTR and friends against Death Riders, that’ll be a lot of fun for Fight for the Fallen, can’t wait to see it. Great promo stuff from MJF and Adam Cole ahead of their Dynamite Diamond Ring match. I don’t usually cheer Heels but I could not help but laugh at the Photoshop’d extra skinny Adam Cole. Great use of prerecorded message from Cole, too. Their faceoff for Christmas Collision is probably the go-home segment and that could go either way.

Good promo from Hayter to call out Julia Hart, but I’m surprised their match won’t be on Worlds End. At the same time, I get it, Julia needs time to get that ring rust off before wrestling such a big match so a few more days to prepare is fine. Plus, if Hayter VS Hart is given proper time on Fight for the Fallen, that’ll really help that card and this feud. Very good vignette promo from Jericho to put himself over while also simultaneously putting down and putting over New York. As much as fans might want Cardona to win, I still feel Jericho is going to win so that he can take credit for ROH getting a cable TV deal.

Very good promo from Mariah May to call out Rosa and talk down on the Tijuana Street Fight. Depending on how AEW wants to play this, I could see Rosa winning since this is her match idea so that she and Toni Storm revisit their feud as if it were the first time. Because yes, they continue the genius idea that Toni Storm doesn’t remember anything of her AEW career. In essence, Toni seems to think she’s still that young indie wrestler who hadn’t even made it to WWE. This could be played as Toni just playing us all, or as Toni actually having another psychological break where she really thinks she’s old school Toni Storm, and it’s genius either way.

Great TBS Championship match from Mone, and of course she retained at Strong Style Evolved. Apparently Mone VS Hazuki was another great match from Mone, I wish I had the time to watch Strong Style Evolved. But Mone VS  Kris for Worlds End followed by Mone VS Mina for WrestleDynasty, like, one of those has to give. Mone is still a great Heel, but she needs a comeuppance at some point, and the last big PPV of AEW 2024 and the first-ever WrestleDynasty are each proper stages for a big loss to happen. Then Mone can then focus on one company, and it’ll certainly be AEW over NJPW.

Very good tag match from Hook & Shibata VS The Patriarchy, but it works that The Patriarchy cheat this win. Hook VS Nick is going to happen in the Hammerstein Ballroom, though I think it’ll be for the Dynamite Miracle on 34th Street episode that’s being taped this weekend. Otherwise, they would’ve just told us it was for Christmas Collision and there we go. But either way, Hook losing here means he is of course winning against Nick Wayne, and then maybe, just maybe, Hook goes after Christian for Worlds End or even Fight for the Fallen.

Great stuff with Ricochet tonight, as he doubles down on being this cocky side of himself, only to get rejected by The Hurt Syndicate and called out by Swerve. That sets up a lot of stuff for Ricochet to do after Worlds End, even if he isn’t Continental Champion. Ricochet’s promo was also a great segue into the great C2 match of Shelton VS Mortos. Great win for Shelton, and then the beatdown on Mortos bringing out Garcia and Briscoe was good stuff. Garcia VS Shelton is going to be great, and I do like the tease of Shelton wanting the TNT Championship. 2025 is definitely going to be Hurt Syndicate climbing up the ranks and grabbing up belts, so I could see Shelton being the first guy to do that.

Good promos from Darby and Ospreay to help open the show, and then just an absolute instant classic for their match. Darby scared us all again with that horrifying crash landing on the apron, but somehow he’s still in one piece. Darby winning wasn’t so much a shocker, but it is surprising they’ve given us quite the log jam at 6 points. Christmas Collision is going to be great stuff just on the drama of who comes away with 9 points. Ospreay VS Ricochet and Darby VS Claudio, that is great timing given those are some hot rivalry matches. And Darby winning was a great segue for Death Riders to come out and go to their main event match.

Great promo from Cassidy, White & Hangman to help hype this match, and it went about how I expected. Hangman abandoning the team was good stuff, because he of course came back when we least expected it. But at the same time, with Death Riders having extra people, they of course snatched that win away. The Fatal 4 Way is going to be great, but we’ve still got time to figure out this go-home math. And even then, it’s a Fatal 4 AND Christian Cage could choose to cash in at some point, the formula for this go-home math is too complex. But that said, I actually feel like Christian Cage should cash in. Imagine Christian as world champion being the last moment of AEW 2024 and then Fight for the Fallen, New Year’s Day, Christian opens the show just to gloat.

My Score: 8.9/10
