Tony Khan speaks.
“Welcome to AEW Collision. Today, I had to make one of the toughest decisions of my professional career. Today, I terminated Phil Brooks, CM Punk, for cause. This stems from a backstage incident at AEW All In last Sunday. The incident was regrettable, and it endangered people backstage. That includes production staff, the people who help put the show on every week, innocent people that had nothing to do with it. I’ve been going to wrestling shows for over 30 years. I’ve been producing them on this network for nearly four years. Never in all that time have I ever felt, until last Sunday, that my security, my safety, my life was in danger at a wrestling show.
“I don’t think anybody should feel that way at work. I don’t think the people I work with should feel that way. And I had to make a very difficult choice today. It came at the recommendation of a discipline committee here in AEW, as well as outside legal counsel who delivered a unanimous recommendation. And I have followed up on that recommendation. I am sorry to any fans who are upset by this. I’m sorry to anyone who is upset by this. Despite that, we’re gonna have a great show tonight on Collision, and we’re gonna have a great All Out PPV tomorrow here in Chicago.
“Last weekend was the greatest weekend in AEW history, this is the greatest week in AEW history, and we’re gonna continue the great momentum here tonight on Collision, and tomorrow night on All Out PPV. Let’s take a look at this huge week.” With CM Punk out, what happens to All Out now?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring.
He welcomes us here and says that as we may know, in just 24 hours, they’ll be back in this same building, The United Center, to hold the 2023 All Out. Surely you saw on social media that Absolute Ricky Starks made a challenge for a No Disqualifications STRAP MATCH! With that in mind, let’s bring out the man, Ricky Starks! Starks makes his way out, a Starks branded weight belt in hand, and “Big Bill” Morrissey behind him. Bill stays on the outside as Starks joins Schiavone in the ring. Schiavone asks Starks about his challenge for All Out towards Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, a 70 year old man. “Are you out of your freakin’ mind?”
Starks takes the mic from Schiavone, and he says, “Well here we are again, huh? I find myself back at square one. It seems that every time that I climb up the hill, I get dragged back down. But I always get better. It seems like every time they throw a obstacle in my way, I overcome that and I get better!” Fans do cheer Starks as he says that he is so tired of having to start over! But he does it because he shows up, he shows out and he delivers every single time. “No matter how many people try to suck the life outta me, it doesn’t work! No matter how many times they try to use me for everything that I’m worth, it doesn’t work! You cannot put a lid on a boiling pot, because I will overflow!”
Fans cheer that, and Starks says he is sick and tired of starting over. Bill, dude, Starks wants you to know that you’re a hell of a guy, for real. Even though Bill did throw him over the top rope in that Royal Rampage not too long ago. But Bill is someone who has had to start over time and again. Bill overcame addiction, Starks is telling you from his heart, that he believes can do whatever he wants! Fans cheer and Bill fist bumps Ricky. Ricky believes in Bill, and he believes in himself! Fans chant for “BILL! BILL! BILL!” Starks says he is tired, angry, frustrated, and there’s so much he could say right now, he even wants to cry!
But Starks is being a man about this, so he came out here and will do what he needs to do! Fans cheer that, and Starks says it’s funny. “I sat at home and watched All In, one of the biggest wrestling PPV shows of all time! I, Ricky Starks, sat at my living room couch and watched! There wasn’t time for me, Daryl!? There wasn’t time for Ricky Starks?! But it’s because I got suspended cuz I whooped Steamboat. And I’ll be damned if I let another moment slip through my hands! And that is why I am challenging Ricky Steamboat to a Strap Match at All Out.
“And Steamboat! Steamboat, listen, I know that you are back there and you are angry at me, but I want you to understand this. One day, I hope to that you see it from my perspective and why I did what I did. But until then, I am not letting a moment pass me by tomorrow night. So that is why I am calling my shot, and I wanna give you the chance to call yours. So I want an answer from The Dragon right now.” Starks waits, and here comes The Dragon! Steamboat storms down the ramp, contract in hand! He takes the mic now and fans fire up. Steamboat says yeah, his turn to talk.
Steamboat tells Starks that what happened between them just three, four weeks ago, Starks took some cheap shots and Steamboat went down. Starks took his belt, whipped him like a little dog! Steamboat wants everyone to understand, when has Steamboat ever once complained on social media? Not once! But he hears that Starks wants a Strap Match with The Dragon! No disqualifications! Well, Starks can talk a good game. He can even perform in the ring when he really wants to. But Starks, Steamboat has a contract here, because this past week, Steamboat talked to AEW Legal, and he said let’s do it old school! Starks’ name, the Dragon’s name, sign it and let the pen talk, not the mouth!
Fans fire up more, and Steamboat holds the contract open for Schiavone. It says right there, Ricky Starks VS The Dragon! Starks says okay, let’s do it! This is all he wanted! Then go ahead, sign there. Starks does just that, and then Steamboat makes sure everyone can see it. Everyone in the wrestling world knows him as Ricky Steamboat, “The Dragon!” But see, there’s also this dragon! THE AMERICAN DRAGON, BRYAN DANIELSON! Fans fire up as Bryan makes his return to AEW! Steamboat just pulled on over on Starks! And Bryan signs the contract! Starks says no, it was supposed to be Steamboat!
Steamboat says no, what does it say right on the front there? Fans tell Starks he messed up, and Starks keeps his cool as best he can. Bryan says it’s Starks VS The Dragon, but it didn’t say which dragon! Starks says well, if this is the bed that he lays in, he’s gonna get real comfortable. Starks stares Bryan down, and Steamboat says they just wanted to make sure Starks got what he wanted. So here is your Strap Match! Bryan smiles, will he be ready to go All Out on Steamboat’s behalf? Or will this be an absolute barn burner?
Jon Moxley speaks.
“Be the rock upon which the waves crash. And eventually, even the raging seas fall still around you. Or in other words, be Orange Cassidy, International Champion. The player who no one can checkmate, the puzzle that 31 men before me have failed to solve. Orange Cassidy was never gonna make it, was never gonna win matches like that. Maybe in the VFW halls, but not in the major leagues. But the man forged his own path. These idiots, they call him a cosplay wrestler. Okay. If that’s the case, who is he pretending to be? Have any of them become the winningest champion in pro-wrestling? No, didn’t think so.
“This has been a long time coming. A couple years ago, Orange Cassidy had won round one by forfeit. It is what it is, that’s fine. You can have that. But that’s all you’re going to get. When you’ve been doing this as long as I have, at this level, you have a lot of ‘biggest matches of your life.’ There’s always another championship, there’s always another ‘biggest show.’ You wrestle the greats, the Chris Jerichos, the Bryan Danielsons, sometimes they win, sometimes you win. But there’s always tomorrow, there’s always another chance. The opportunity in front of you this Sunday at All Out is a chance that only comes once in a lifetime. Because Orange Cassidy is on the run of a lifetime.
“Very often, I know I’ve won a match before the bell rings. I take one look at a guy. I can smell BS from a mile away, and I know the real thing when I see it. And Orange Cassidy looks a hell of a lot like the real thing. Sunday, one way or another, we’re gonna find out. I’m a technician of the highest order. I’m not gonna target your shoulder, your knee, your elbow, your arm. No, my specialty: I’m gonna work your soul, I will target your soul, your heart, your guts, your conditioning, your endurance, both mental and physical, your will to win, your will to survive, your will to even be here!
“A lot of these guys, man, they think they want to be wrestlers. They wanna be perceived as great wrestlers, but they don’t really wanna be great wrestlers. Once it gets hard, they look for a way out. That’s the only question this Sunday at All Out. Orange Cassidy, when it gets hard, and it’s really, really gonna get hard, will you look for a way out? God, I hope not. I really hope not. Lotta people believe in you, Orange Cassidy. And this Sunday at All Out, don’t disappoint us.” The Maniac has issued an ultimatum to Freshly Squeezed, will this be the biggest moment of his career?
AEW World Trios Championships: The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn VS Daniel Garcia, Matthew Menard & Angelo Parker w/ Jake Hager!
Max Caster, Anthony Bowens & Daddy Ass are NEW AEW World Trios Champions, with brand new hot pink belts to commemorate the occasion! But will Red Death, Daddy Magic & Cool Hand Ange prove they’re the real deal in AEW? As always, Platinum Max has a diss track! “Acclaimed in the house, the brand new champions! Knock yo’ ass out like your name’s Tim Anderson! Garcia dancin’ every week cuz his wrestling and promos put the fans to sleep! And Daddy Magic ’bout to fall flat! I heard you wanted a taste, of my ball*ack! Cool Hand, you’re a b*tch, too! Y’all’re so bland, even Jericho ditched you!”
Bowens takes the mic to say, “CHICAGOOOO~! The Acclaimed have arrived! SCISSOR ME, DADDY ASS~!” And he does~! Fans fire up, the introductions are made and the hot pink belts are raised. On All Out Eve, we see who runs the Trios Division!
The trios sort out and fans sing “OH~ Scissor Me, Daddy~!” Bowens starts with Parker, they circle and tie up, and Parker puts Bowens in a corner. The ref counts, Parker lets off but Bowens ROCKS Parker first! Bowens fires off hands and fans fire up as Bowens scissors then DECKS Parker! “EVERYONE Loves The Acclaimed!” Parker scrambles away and tags in Garcia. Bowens points to Billy and fans fire up! Bowens tags Billy in and Billy circles with Garcia. They tie up, Billy wrenches and wristlocks, but Garcia rolls and wrenches to CHOP! Billy goes to a corner but dusts that off, to put Garcia in a corner!
Garcia dodges the chop, to do his dance! Fans cheer but Billy whips him back into the corner! Garcia dodges again, to again do his dance! Fans fire up more, but Billy turns Garcia around. Garcia says stop! “SUCK IT!” Billy DECKS Garcia, and Garcia falls into Billy! Billy gives Garcia a taste of his won dance moves! Garcia flounders away, Billy drags Garcia up and tags Bowens. They double whip to double ELBOW, then scissor and DOUBLE ELBOW DROP! Bowens covers, Parker distracts the ref, and Hager CLOBBERS Billy on the outside! Fans boo but then Menard drags Caster off the apron! Hager sends Billy into railing! Menard sends Caster into steps!
Garcia ROCKS Bowens, Bowens CHOPS Garcia! Bowens CHOPS, runs, but into the DOUBLE FLAPJACK HOTSHOT! Garcia then reels Bowens in, PILEDRIVER! And then a feed back to Parker & Menard, JUST A TASTE!! Garcia hurries to have the DRAGONTAMER!! Bowens endures, Menard & Parker keep Caster down! Bowens endures, reaches out, crawls his way around, but Menard & Parker distract the ref right as Bowens has the ROPEBREAK! Fans boo, and then Hager sucker punches Bowens!! Billy runs in to CLOBBER Garcia! Fans fire up but Parker then CLOBBERS Billy, and Collision goes picture in picture.
The former JAS regroups, Garcia stalks Bowens and drags him over. Tag to Menard and they mug Bowens. Menard CHOPS Bowens to a corner, soaks up the heat, and he brings Bowens up to ROCK with a right! Menard whips Bowens corner to corner hard, and down goes Bowens! Menard soaks up the heat, runs to BLAST Caster then he stomps Bowens! Caster gets in but the ref has him stay back. Bowens gets up to ROCK Menard! And again! And again! Menard knees low, bumps Bowens off buckles, then tags in Parker. They all mug Bowens, the ref reprimands, and Parker snap suplexes Bowens!
Parker slicks back his hair, flicks it down at Bowens then drops an elbow! Cover, TWO! Parker keeps Bowens down with a chinlock and grinds Bowens down. Fans rally, Bowens fights up, and Bowens throws body shots! Bowens is free, but Parker picks him up to bring him away! Tag to Garcia and now Garcia stomps away on Bowens! The ref counts, Garcia shouts as he stands on Bowens, but still steps away before 4. Tag to Menard and he stomps Bowens, then tag to Parker and he stomps Bowens! Tag back to Garcia and he stomps away on Bowens! Tag back to Menard, he stomps Bowens again, and Collision returns to single picture.
Garcia, Menard & Parker all rush Caster & Billy to BLAST them off the apron! Then Garcia stomps Bowens again! Bowens fights up to throw hands on them all! Bowens DECKS Parker, DECKS Garcia, but Menard ROCKS Bowens! Tag to Parker, drop toehold and the step up, BOOYAH ELBOW FLOPS as Bowens manages to dodge! Fans fire up as Menard hurries after Bowens, but Bowens boots him away! Garcia tags in, he drags Bowens away, but Bowens ENZIGURIS! Fans fire up as Bowens hurries, hot tag to Caster! Platinum Max rallies on all three guys! He clotheslines Garcia up and out of the ring, then PLANCHAS!
Fans fire up as Caster BOOTS Parker! Caster puts Garcia in, climbs up and CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Caster has the fans fired up and he whips Garcia. Garcia reverses, clinches, and URENAGES! Fans boo but Garcia does his dance! Menard tags in? Fans boo, but Menard stalks Caster. Menard CHOPS Caster, whips him, but Caster ducks ‘n’ dodges and CLOBBERS Menard! Both men are down and fans fire up! They crawl for their corners, hot tag to Daddy Ass! Billy DECKS Garcia, DECKS Menard, DECKS Parker, and then TOSSES Parker out! And he TOSSES Garcia, too! Daddy Ass sees Daddy Magic, kicks him low and tells him “SUCK IT!”
Billy runs, but Hager is in the way! Billy DECKS Hager! Menard kicks and UPPERCUTS and whips, but Billy kicks back and hits the FAMOUSER!! Bowens is in, he hits the ARRIVAL! Tag to Caster, MIC DROP!! Cover, The Acclaimed win!
Winners: The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn, by pinfall (still AEW World Trios Champions)
They’re running hotter than the hot pink on the straps! And with the belts in hand, they TRIPLE SCISSOR~! But will they continue to redefine the Trios Division?
Backstage interview with The Dark Order.
Lexi Nair is with Evil Uno and the #1 contenders to the ROH World Tag Team Championships, John Silver & Alex Reynolds. She says they will face MJF & Adam Cole tomorrow at All Out. Silver tells Cole, “What you want, son?” People may not know this, but Adam Cole used to be their best friend, too! Nightcrawlers every night! You remember, don’t ya, Budge? But you threw it away to team with MJF!? Reynolds says speaking of, not many people know this either, but Reynolds helped train MJF to become a pro-wrestler. And Reynolds told MJF that if he wanted to succeed, he’d have to do whatever it takes to win.
And it seems MJF has. MJF is the ROH World Tag Team Champion AND AEW World Champion, and Reynolds couldn’t be prouder. But looking back, Reynolds realizes only one of them took that advice. But tomorrow night, that all changes. The Dark Order needs those tag titles far more than MJF & Cole do. The Dark Order needs those titles for The Dark Order, to shove down the throats of those who don’t think they belong here, or that they don’t deserve this opportunity. Tomorrow night, the Dark Order does whatever it takes to beat MJF & Cole, because they have to! Will Reynolds & Silver make sure MJF & Cole have one of the shortest tag title runs in ROH history?
Backstage interview with Ricky Starks & Big Bill.
Schiavone finds them in the hall, and he asks Starks how he feels about facing Bryan Danielson at All Out. Yeah, we saw him sign the thing, whoopdie freakin’ doo! Once again, every obstacle thrown his way, Starks knocks it outta the park! Tomorrow night will be no different. Starks will show Bryan why Starks is who he says he is, and that is ABSOLUTE! Starks & Bill head out, will Starks be even more fired up in 24 hours?
Aussie Open VS Komander & Nick Wayne!
They may have just lost the ROH World Tag Team Championships, but Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis fight their way back up towards something in the tag division? Or will Nick Wayne and another luchador come out on top like on Rampage last night?
The teams sort out and Dunkzilla starts against Nick. Davis runs Nick over, then rams him into the corner! Tag to Fletcher, they double whip, but Nick holds ropes! Nick dodges Davis to toss him out, but Fletcher whips. Nick ducks ‘n’ dodges and RANAS Fletcher, to then UPPERCUT him down! Fans fire up with Nick and he brings Fletcher around. Komander tags in, they double whip and double DROPKICK! Fans fire up and Komander stands Fletcher up. Fletcher scoops and SLAMS Komander first! Tag back to Davis and Davis storms up. But Komander avoids the senton! Komander runs but Davis TOSSES Komander at ropes! Only for Komander to handspring through!
Fans fire up as Komander dodges, slides, and tilt-o-whirls to get an IRON OCTOPUS! Fans fire up as Davis endures, powers out and throws Komander away! Fletcher tags back in, Davis shoves Komander but Komander BOOTS Davis! Komander goes out to springboard in, but Fletcher gets him for a POWERBOMB! Aussie Open rush Nick, then slingshot him in for a fireman’s carry, and an AUSSIE DENTAL PLAN! Fletcher feeds Komander to Davis for a scoop, FLYING CUTTER! Cover, TWO!! Komander is still in this but Aussie Open stand tall as Collision goes picture in picture.
Aussie Arrow Fletcher riles up the fans while he paces around Komander. Fletcher drags Komander up, brings him over and ROCKS Komander! Fletcher throws more hands, then stomps Komander down! The ref counts, Fletcher tags in Davis, and Davis drags Komander back up. Davis reels Komander in to scoop, then he walks around with Komander, before a TOSS! Komander flounders to the corner but Davis storms up. Davis then TOSSES Komander across the way! Davis walks over to pick Komander up, suplexes him, and hold him up! Then Fletcher tags in to take the handoff! Fletcher holds Komander up, Davis BLASTS Nick, and then Fletcher spins before the SLAM!
Fletcher soaks up the cheers and jeers, covers, but Collision goes to break!
Collision returns and this match is still going so Komander clearly kicked out before three. The fans rally as Davis suplexes, but Komander fights it! Komander throws hands and knees, but Davis picks Komander up to throw him back! Komander slips around, Davis clinches but Komander JAWBREAKERS! Fletcher tags in to runs up and reel Komander in! Back suplex but Komander lands out of it! Fletcher runs in at the corner but Komander dodges! Hot tag to Nick! Fans fire up as Nick UPPERCUTS Fletcher! And he rolls Davis to then SUPERKICK! UPPERCUT for Fletcher again! SHOTGUN for Davis!
Davis tumbles out, Fletcher rushes in but gets some SLICED BREAD! Nick then FLIES out onto Davis! Fans fire up as Nick goes up top, for a FROG SPLASH on Fletcher! Cover, TWO! Fans fire up as Nick watches Fletcher. Nick aims from the corner, but Fletcher reels him in! Fletcher full nelsons, Nick switches and hooks a leg, but Fletcher wrenches out to HALF ‘N’ HALF! Fletcher is roaring and he tags in Davis. Davis drags Nick up, scoops, Fletcher aims! But Komander SUPERKICKS Fletcher! Davis rushes in but Komander leaps, into Davis’ SPINEBUSTER! And then Close Your Eyes and COUNT TO F!!
Fans are thunderous as Davis tags Fletcher in! Aussie Open aims from opposite corners, they run in at Nick, but Nick dodges! Nick fires off forearms on Aussie Open but he gets caught! DOUBLE FOREARM SANDWICH! And then CROSS- NO, Nick dodges the Cross Bomber and Aussie Open collides! Davis blocks a kick, then ducks, so Nick’s ENZIGURI hits Fletcher! Nick then ROUNDHOUSES Davis! Nick runs and goes up the corner, DOUBLE- NO, he gets caught into COREALIS!! Cover, Aussie Open wins!
Winner: Aussie Open, by pinfall
Davis & Fletcher may not have tag titles right now, but surely they’ll be next in line soon enough! But will it be them going back after MJF & Adam Cole? Or will they shift gears to target FTR and the AEW World Tag titles?
Schiavone joins Nick Wayne in the ring, and says the sky is the limit for him here. This didn’t go the way Nick wanted, but he has a great career ahead of him. Fans cheer for Nick and Nick says yeah, he’s a bit frustrated. But he’s more frustrated about Darby Allin forgiving AR Fox. But then Darby Allin hurries out to talk with Nick. Darby doesn’t want Nick to go any further. He’ll explain why he forgave Fox, but Darby needs to say something real quick. Darby has known Nick Wayne since he was 8 years old. They’ve been through so much, and we all know Buddy Wayne trained Darby.
Darby says his first day of wrestling school, he saw Nick there. Back when Darby was just 120 pounds. Well, okay, he’s only 125 now but hey. Darby wants to explain why he forgave Fox. Nick knows what happened between Darby and his dad, Buddy, right? There was a time when Darby didn’t talk to any of the Waynes for three years. Darby got into a big fight with Buddy and burned the bridge. And before Darby could make amends, what happened? Buddy passes away. Darby has to live with that every single day. He wishes he could make things right with Buddy. But AR Fox is one of Darby’s trainers, too, so Darby refuses to live with the hate, he had to let it go.
But Nick, please. He doesn’t have to do it right now, but Darby hopes Nick can find it in his heart to let that hate for Fox go. This Sunday, All Out, Darby is fighting for the TNT Championship! It’d be an honor if Nick was in his corner for that match. But before Nick can answer, here comes Christian Cage! And Luchasaurus, too, but the TNT title is still on Christian’s shoulder instead. And Captain Charisma tells Nick, “It was rude of me last week to speak so much about your father when I forgot to ask what your mom’s name is.” Fans boo but Christian says he couldn’t help but notice Mama Wayne out here last week. Missed opportunity on Christian’s part.
But perhaps Christian can just slide into her DMs and see if he can change things. Now speaking of Nick’s parents, did we hear right that Darby didn’t speak to the whole family for over two years? Fans chant “THREE! THREE!” and Christian chuckles. So then what? Is Nick Wayne some sort of personal pity project? Is this to help Darby justify that he is actually a decent human being? Maybe they should take after Christian, because he doesn’t pretend to be something that he’s not. So in case Darby forgot where they are, they’re in Chicago! More specifically, the United Center. And these people can smell a loser a mile away. After all, this is the home of the Blackhawks hockey team!
Fans boo but Christian says Darby is a loser in life, and that will never change. Nick, if Christian can give him any advice, it is this: carry a towel with you to ringside at All Out, because he’ll need to throw it to stop the match! It won’t be a back and forth technical classic. It will be a one-sided beating, bludgeoning and massacre at the hands of not just Christian’s Right Hand of Destruction, but the most complete big man in the business today! And when it is all said and done, Chris- THEY will be atop the mountain #AndStill the Face of TNT now and forever! Captain Charisma is lighting a fire under both Darby and Nick, will he end up burned by it?
The Blackpool Combat Club speaks.
Claudio Castagnoli “congratulates” Eddie Kingston. Eddie beat Wheeler Yuta. Eddie came back from Japan to beat the youngest member of the BCC. Congrats! But newsflash! Claudio UPPERCUTS Yuta! The BCC beats Yuta up every day of the week! It’s not that hard to do! Claudio throws more uppercuts! But the difference is, as Yuta stands back up, is that Yuta gets back up! Yuta doesn’t stay down long, not like Eddie. Blaming other people, that’s Eddie. Claudio thought NJPW would change Eddie, would make him a better man. But Claudio was wrong, the way he held that NJPW Strong Openweight title, shedding tears for it, meeting his heroes, giddy like a schoolgirl.
“Eddie… I thought I couldn’t lose any more respect for you. But you proved me wrong.” Claudio almost spits thinking about it as he storms off, and Yuta finally falls over.
Eddie Kingston speaks.
The Mad King stands alongside The Wrestler, Katsuyori Shibata! They each have their titles on their shoulders as Eddie says that was cute and all. Beating up Yuta, Yuta letting Claudio do it, ugh. But to get past that, the bottom line is, The BCC now have to deal with Eddie & Shibata at All Out. And Claudio, you won’t fight Eddie again. That’s why he walked right past Eddie. Claudio’s a coward. But Shibata, he has something for them. Eddie asks Shibata what he thinks of Claudio & Yuta. Shibata uses his Google Translate app to say, “You both suck.” HAH! See you at the PPV. Will the NJPW Strong & ROH Pure Champion put the Swiss Superman & Decoder in their place?
Backstage interview with The Outcasts.
Lexi is with Ruby Soho & Saraya ahead of their Women’s Trios action tonight. Congratulations to the NEW AEW Women’s World Champion, but we saw the… dissention between the Outcasts. Saraya tells Lexi not to be ugly right now. Do not be a “mean girl” right now. It is disgusting. Let’s just talk about Saraya. Saraya is awesome, she won in front of all her countrymen at All In, 81 THOUSAND! Friends and family, but now we’re stuck back here in America, in Chicago, where we can smell all their breath from here! Yuck. But at least Ruby Soho will walk outta here the NEW AEW TBS Champion.
Soho says that Kris Statlander has never beaten her in their entire time in AEW. Don’t worry about The Outcasts, they are the most dominant faction in all of pro-wrestling, and will prove it by having not one but two titles in the group. Then speaking of the group, how is Toni Storm- Lexi let it go! Stop stirring the pot! Toni will be fine. Granted, they did see her in the parking lot, half naked, throwing shoes at birds… But that doesn’t matter. They will drop the Homegrowns as they have over and over again. And then after tomorrow, they walk home, Ruby as the NEW AEW TBS Champion, and they get out of this godforsaken city.
Saraya says that’s right, and they head out. Will everything go their way here for All Out Weekend? Or will there be a major detour in their road to success?
Tony Schiavone is back in the ring.
“Ladies and gentlemen, there have been a lot of great memories in this building, as you well know. There will be some more memories made here tomorrow night. But it’s been 25 years since this man has worn a Chicago Bulls jersey. Over 6,000 points, over 11,000 rebounds, five-time NBA World Champion, ladies and gentlemen, Dennis ‘Bad as I wanna be’ Rodman!” Fans fire up as The Worm, the former WCW regular, makes his way out to the ring! Schiavone has #Rodzilla bring it in, and he says of all the things going on lately, what is Rodman doing here in AEW?
Wait! Team Triple J interrupts! Fans boo as Jeff & Karen Jarrett lead Sonjay Dutt, Jay Lethal & Satnam Singh to the ring. Karen gets right in Schiavone’s face and snatches the mic. Jeff even tells Schiavone to get out, cuz Double J’s got a deal to make! Oh ain’t it great for all the legends to be back here in Chicago? Jeff says he and Rodman go way back, y’know. And the reality is, they all have something in common! Satnam is one of the greatest basketball players of all time, like Rodman! Lethal has been a world champion since day one, just like Rodman! And Sonjay, wherever he goes, he strives for world peace, just like Rodman!
And let us not forget the queen, Jarrett’s bride, Karen! She looks great in a dress, just like Rodman! Rodman applauds that, and Jeff says putting all that aside, when they get right down to it, Jeff led and Rodman was an integral part of one of the greatest factions of all time! And it was too sweet! So like they used to say, it was also 4 Life. So Rodman, you wanna run with the bulls? Get some real heat? Then join this family! Fans boo but Rodman takes the mic. “Chicago! It’s a great day to be in Chicago! It’s my first time here in 13 YEARS. I’m so sorry I couldn’t be here, but guess what? I’m loving the fact that you guys are loving AEW wrestling!”
Jeff says hold on, Dennis, don’t make him send Satnam after you to dunk on you like the Jazz did in ’98! Jarrett wants an answer and he wants it now! Well, guess what? When Rodman was playing basketball, Shaq was that big, and Rodman still whooped dat ass! Fans fire up and Sonjay has everyone back up a bit. Sonjay wants to talk mano a mano. He knows Rodman was nervous and all, but see, there’s no funny business! What’s his answer? Its’ gotta be “yes,” just look at Rodman’s face added to the team shirt. It’s a great shirt, right? What’s Rodman say? Sonjay holds out a hand, fans say don’t do it. Rodman looks Sonjay up and down, then SLAM DUNKS him!
Fans fire up and here comes The Acclaimed! These guys have history with Triple J, so Triple J gets to running away! Bowens has the music cut so he can tell “Double Jackass,” he isn’t sure what the problem is with Bowens’ guy, Rodman, but if Triple J wants a fight, how about getting back in the ring to fight the Acclaimed!? Fans fire up and Jeff wants to, but the others have him stay back! Billy has everyone hold on. There’s no way Billy wrestles twice in one night, that is beyond his old age range, okay? But here’s this. They got nothing to do tomorrow, so All Out, the trios titles are on the line! The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn with Rodman in their corner!
Rodman’s up for that! Jeff is, too! The match is made for the Zero Hour, will All Out be even bigger with a scissor party?
Shane Taylor speaks.
“For six years, Shane Taylor was the man in ROH. The most dominant Television Champion of all time. Signed, sealed and delivered, Shane Taylor VS Samoa Joe for the ROH World Television Championship!” Big Bad Shaney T. has vowed to knock Samoa Joe out and take back that title, will he once again be the baddest champion we’ve ever seen? We’ll see tomorrow night at All Out!
Samoa Joe speaks.
“To say that this week has been turbulent would be an understatement. And of course, in times of turmoil, jackals come out to feast. That brings me to you, Shane Taylor. I understand that you feel something great is gonna happen tomorrow night, but allow me to give you a reality check. You see, this is a simple tale, and it is about hopes and wishes. Shane, you hope that tomorrow night at All Out, you will give the best performance of your life. But you’re gonna wish that you weren’t standing there across from me. Shane, you’re gonna hope that you go out on a night in front of millions of people, you capture back the ROH Television Championship.
“But Shane, you’re going to wish that I would stop hitting you. Shane, you hope that you’re gonna walk out there, and in your own words, knock me out. But Shane, you’re gonna wish you never put my name in your mouth. Come All Out, I make an example of you! Come All Out, I make it clear who is the true reigning King of Television! That man that stands before you. Come All Out, he’ll be the man that’s standing over you.” Joe has given his ultimatum, will Big Bad Shaney T respond with actions?
Six Woman Tag: The Outcasts VS Kris Statlander, Britt Baker & Hikaru Shida!
Toni Storm is a little late to joining her team in their entrance, but the trio still stands together in the ring. Will they still be standing together by the end of this? Or will the Galaxy’s Greatest, The Doctor & The Shining Samurai break what is left of the bonds between them?
The trios sort out and Soho starts against Kris as a sampler of tomorrow. Storm wants to tag in already? Saraya seems okay with it so Soho tags Storm in. Storm flexes on Kris and Kris flexes back. They tie up, go around, and end up on ropes. Storm has Kris, gives her a shove, but Kris shoves her down! Storm runs up to run Kris over, but Kris handsprings up! Storm distracts the ref and Saraya goes after Shida! Saraya sends Shida into the desk! Britt & Kris protest but the Outcasts keep getting away with this. Storm then tags Soho and Soho fetches Shida. Soho puts Shida in the ring, clamps on with a chinlock, then shifts to a straitjacket stretch. Soho pulls Shida back but Shida endures. Shida fights her way free, fans rally up, and Shida shoots around to roll Soho up! TWO, and Soho stomps Shida!

Winners: The Outcasts, by pinfall
The Outcasts did hold it together, but just barely! Saraya is still upset with Storm for the newest miscue, but will Soho taking the TBS Championship make up for all of it?
Adam Cole speaks.
“Boys and girls, this Sunday at All Out, it’s myself and MJF defending our newly won ROH World Tag Team titles against Alex Reynolds & John Silver. Now fellas, we know each other all too well. Don’t get me wrong, you’re an amazing tag team. But you’re not Better Than You Baybay. We just won these bad boys, ain’t no way in hell we’re dropping them any time soon. Now, as you know, Max isn’t here right now, but he did want me to say a few things on behalf of him.” Cole takes out his phone to read the text message from MJF.
“Alex Reynolds, here’s a little factoid most people don’t know: you had a hand in training me at Create-A-Pro. It took me nine years to get rid of all your bad habits because you’re the absolute drizzling sh-” Oh. Okay, Cole will stop there. He continues with, “Speaking of… John Silver, I’d say I didn’t realize they could stack crap that high, but realistically, it’d be fairly easy to, considering the fact you’re the size of a dollar store garden gnome. And…” Oh, that’s just disgusting, Max! Can’t say that. Anyway, see you boys on Sunday. BOOM. MJF’s dirty mouth aside, will he and Cole still be the golden brochachos of AEW & ROH? Or will things get very dark on Sunday night?
Backstage interview with Kris Statlander.
Lexi is with the TBS Champion and asks that, after what just happened tonight, how does Kris feel defending the title against Ruby Soho? Kris admits, she’s not feeling too great. But Ruby, we know you couldn’t get that win without all those accessories. The spray paint, her little friends, and we all know she’s gonna go for them again. Kris won’t fall for that again! But then the Outcasts barge in! Soho says Kris better not be talking crap like she can’t just drop her right now! Saraya has Soho back down, tells Kris to shut up and that she’ll see Soho tomorrow! Kris says okay then! See you tomorrow!! Things are getting heated, who will melt down at All Out?
“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs VS GPA!
All Out is the next chapter in the Book of Hobbs, and it is against the now GODLESS Redeemer, Miro! But then, will this be a short foreword to kick things off?
Hobbs SPLASHES GPA in the corner before the bell! Then Hobbs whips GPA to SPINEBUSTER! Cover, HOBBS WINS!
Winner: “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, by pinfall
That was barely a dedication message! But you can bet it was dedicated to Miro! Will the Book of Hobbs be more than just a story at All Out? WAIT! Here comes Miro himself! Hobbs is annoyed, but Miro rips his shirt off and storms to the ring! The brawl is on and fans fire up! Neither man backs down, but Miro is starting to make Hobbs wobble! Miro then clotheslines Hobbs up and out! Only for Hobbs to drag Miro out, and send him into steel steps! Fans fire up as Miro staggers up and Hobbs storms over. Miro DUMPS Hobbs over the railing! Hobbs hurries up, and he decides to cut this prologue short.
Miro is raging, but he and Hobbs will finish this chapter tomorrow! Who writes the ending to this story with their own two hands?
AEW takes a closer look at Kenny Omega VS Konosuke Takeshita.
Don Callis says that everything Kenny has in his life is thanks to Callis. The titles, the accolades, the nicknames, but in the end, the REAL “God of Pro-Wrestling” wasn’t Kenny, it was Don! Don wants to teach Kenny a lesson, and the only way he can do that is by destroying him. Kenny chose his “mentally weak friends” over family, so Don didn’t just lose a nephew when he turned on Kenny. But now, Don has a true “son” in Konosuke. The Future of Wrestling, Kenny’s kouhai in DDT Pro, a good friend of Kenny’s even. So when Don “upgraded” from Kenny, he sure picked someone that’d hurt. But Kenny says he’s gonna take Don’s newest cash cow away.
Don says at All Out, he and Konosuke finally cut the “cancer” that is Kenny Omega out of AEW! The final proof will be when Konosuke shows everyone that there is a NEW “God of Pro-Wrestling!” Will Don Callis’ handpicked protégé do everything he promises and more?
Orange Cassidy speaks.
“I don’t like this. I don’t wanna be talking right now. But this Sunday at All Out, it’s not just another AEW International Championship defense. It’s everything I’ve been working for. See, in this city, in Chicago, in this building, I had my first AEW singles match against Pac. And I proved that I deserve to be in AEW. Then it was Will Ospreay. And I proved that I can stand face to face in the ring with the best professional wrestlers in the world. This Sunday, it’s Jon Moxley. And Jon Moxley is just the best. He picked AEW up when it was down, and put all of the weight on his shoulders.
“This Sunday at All Out, when I beat you, Jon, I am going to take the weight of your shoulders and put it on mine. Because I am the International Champion. I am Freshly Squeezed, Orange Cassidy. And I do not have a catchphrase.” Cassidy is ready to take this seriously, will he truly have the biggest win of his career?

Juice & The Gunns shout to White, Dax DIVING HEADBUTTS but FLOPS as White moves! White crawls to cover, TWO! The BCG is frustrated while Collision goes picture in picture.
White sits Dax up to CHOP him back down! Then White has the legs and he stomps away on Dax’s stomach! White turns Dax over, and has the HALF CRAB! Dax endures and reaches out for ropes. Fans boo The Bucks, but then FTR return the favor by just leaving! Fans cheer that, but how will these four work together against a united Bullet Club Gold in just 24 hours?
My Thoughts:
A really good Collision as a go-home to All Out, but things sure seemed a bit tainted given the news of CM Punk being FIRED. And I don’t even mean that in like I am upset Punk got fired. No, the way Punk has been acting a literal after Brawl Out where this behavior started is not good at all, I don’t blame Tony Khan for doing this. I did laugh at the end when Bucks showed up and the Chicago fans chanted for Punk, staying loyal to his side of things rather than accepting one of their own is at fault. But what I mean is, it is a shame it had to come to this at all. Whatever anyone says about Jack Perry, Punk never checked his own ego and should’ve handle this situation better. This was almost exactly how he handled things with The Elite going into “Brawl Out” so what did anyone expect?
But moving on from Punk, a lot of promos tonight. Moxley and Cassidy had some great ones, where they were showing each other respect while still telling the other they were going to win. That’s going to be a great main event for All Out, mostly because I have no idea who wins. Great promos from Claudio & Yuta as well as Eddie & Shibata to set up their tag match. I don’t really think they need to do such a tag match but it’ll probably help give reason for Claudio VS Eddie down the line. And while they copy-pasted Shane’s promo from before, Samoa Joe had a great response ahead of their title match, which I’m more confident Joe will win.
Good promo from The Dark Order and great promo from Adam Cole to hype up the ROH World Tag title match. Though maybe we’re overdoing “Adam Cole’s past comes back to haunt him” one step too much with The Dark Order claiming Cole was a good friend of theirs before this. Another reason that The Kingdom should’ve been in that tag team battle royal and won so that they could play up that drama instead of trying to throw in more drama. That said, still pretty sure MJF & Cole win, and then maybe the next challengers to the ROH tag titles are The Kingdom so they can make progress in the story.
Really good promo from Ricky Starks where he was definitely indirectly referencing CM Punk getting himself fired because the story was surely meant to be Punk VS Starks in this Strap Match for the no longer even a title Real World Championship. But great little swerve of Steamboat setting Starks up for a match with Bryan Danielson for Bryan’s big return. That is going to be great stuff, can’t wait to see it. And if Starks wins, I would hope this gets him a title shot of some kind. Heck, put Starks in the Grand Slam World Title Eliminator. Roddy and Cole can be on the same side of the bracket, Cole probably takes Roddy out of the running but MJF gets paranoid, and Cole ends up losing to Starks because of the drama surrounding all his friends.
Great vignette from Don Callis to hype up Kenny VS Konosuke, but as I’ve said before, Kenny should win here and they can have more matches down the line. Hobbs squashed GPA faster than it took to say his name, but great little brawl with Miro. Hobbs winning the match but things being rather even in that brawl, hard to call who wins at All Out. But as I’ve also said before, feels like Tony Khan wrote these guys into a corner, much like he did when Hobbs and Wardlow feuded. Whatever happens, just keep QTV away from it, they’re doing just fine with Johnny Nitro Mundo Morrison TV as their new front man.
Great Trios Championship match with The Acclaimed of course winning. But I do like that the seed of dysfunction planted the other night is growing, as Menard tagged in to kinda ruin the fun of Garcia doing his dance. Garcia may want to stick close to his old pals, but something might end up splitting the remnants of the JAS even further. And Acclaimed coming back out to back Dennis Rodman up was an interesting move. I dreaded Triple J and Acclaimed coming back around as a feud but this will probably be a one-off for All Out and Rodman can have some shenanigans as part of the match.
Really good match from Aussie Open VS Komander & Nick, but I figured Aussie Open was winning this one. And I do appreciate that they touched upon Nick not being ready to forgive but Darby explaining the reasons why he should. Nick being added as Darby’s cornerman, there’s the opportunity now for Nick to betray Darby, but also maybe for Nick to come through and see things Darby’s way. Even if Darby loses, it will be a moral victory cuz Nick chose Darby over Christian “I insult your dead father and flirt with your alive mom” Cage.
Great Women’s Trios match and great win for The Outcasts, and I like that Storm is just barely holding onto her sanity and her friendship. Great promos before and after the match, too, and there’s more heat going into this Kris VS Soho match now. But I find it rather funny that the women who were vying for the TBS Championship (Mercedes Martinez, Diamante, even Willow Nightingale and Skye Blue) are now in the All Out Zero Hour instead. But maybe something comes out of that to head into the Autumn stretch.
And great main event from Dax VS White. Of course there was moderate overbooking with Bullet Club Gold and Cash Wheeler ringside, and great finish for White to win. The Bucks making the save but not getting the handshake was great stuff, great flipside of the previous story beats. But with White winning here tonight, I would think #FTRBucks find a way to win and use it to add to their own rivalry. This 8 Man Tag may not be the main event but it could be a show stealer. Or also just the Chicago fans constantly chanting for Punk just to “stick it” to The Bucks.
My Score: 8.8/10

Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & Hook got past The Patriarchy and are looking to make a real impact in the AEW Trios Division now. Will there The Opps not stop until they’re on top?
The trios sort out and Hook starts with Banning. They tie up, Hook waistlocks, and Hook trips Banning up. The fans cheer Hook on as he facelocks and fires hands! Then he HALF HATCH SUPLEXES Banning away! Alexander tags in, but Hook knees low to FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Tag to Shibata and the fans fire up. Shibata & Hook double whip Alexander, trip him up, and Shibata storms up to kick Alexander low. Tag to Joe and the fans fire up! They CHOP, CHOP, and CHOP! Alexander has no choice but to take it! Then Joe whips and ELBOWS Alexander down! Joe waits to JAB! JAB! JAB! Joe whips Alexander to a corner, then back body blocks! And PELES!
Alexander flops down, Joe grins and brings him over. Tag back to Shibata and he stomps Alexander. Shibata bumps Alexander off buckles, BOOTS Starboy & Banning, then double whips Alexander. Shibata sends Hook to LARIAT! Joe runs up to SPLASH! Alexander sits down, and Shibata hits his HYDRAULIC DROPKICK! HALF HATCH, then Joe adds a SENTON! Shibata PENALTY KICKS Alexander, covers, The Opps win!
Winners: The Opps, by pinfall
Starboy didn’t even get a turn, but maybe that’s a good thing. Will nothing stop these forces of nature from taking over AEW?
Adam Copeland speaks.
“I make you nervous, Moxley. You don’t like having guys like me around. Guys that have done more than you, been around longer than you, paid more dues than you. It threatens your manhood or something, and it should. Now Mox, you said all I had to do was ask for a fight, and I did, but you dodged me. You hid behind your Death Riders. And then I finally realized, you’re afraid. You’re afraid of losing the AEW World Championship, because with the championship, we all have to sit through your word salad diatribes that just go around in circles. But without it, you’ve got no juice.
“And it’s not too long before your sycophants realized that you’re just a false martyr. You’re just a spin doctor. You’re not a messiah. Well, Death Riders are gone, man. We took ’em out. And Yuta, he finally seems to be doing some soul searching and realized the succubus you are. So here’s what I need. I need the Jon Moxley that set this industry on fire when he first came to AEW, not this coward. I need the Moxley who’s not afraid to go toe to toe with me. I need the Moxley who’s not afraid to get in the trenches, who’s not afraid to suffer. Because you will. And I know I will, too, but I’m a masochist, I get off on it.
“But I’m also not kidding myself. I have been in hundreds of world title matches over the last 32 years, and I know. I know that time is running out. I know that this could be the last time I ever fight for a world title. So I have to make this count. What I’ve got going for me is there’s no expiring on purpose, there’s no expiring on passion, there’s no expiring on grit, I’ve got all of those in spades, Moxley. So here it is, man. Cope VS Mox, one on one for the first time ever, for the AEW World Championship at Revolution! I have to do this. Los Angeles, see you soon.” Cope is ready, but will he make Revolution Rated R?
Mercedes Mone is here!
As promised, The CEO is going to watch her challenger with her own eyes, so she struts down to ringside, holding up the AEW TBS Championship. Will she be impressed, intimidated or neither with The Dark Peach of Stardom?
Momo Watanabe VS Serena Deeb!
The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, Deeb wrenches and wristlocks, but Momo powers through to wrench and wristlock in return. Will Ospreay speaks.
The Aerial Assassin finishes being checked by the trainer, and then sets the icepack down. “The pain that I’m feeling right now, the pain I’m feeling physically, does not equate to what I feel mentally right now. The torture that I feel in my brain right now. I feel lost, I feel confused, I feel anxious that I am entering a match physically spent, emotionally spent, entering a match that I’ve never participated in in my entire flippin’ career, against someone I called my flippin’ brother. Tonight on my left arm, I wore my armband that symbolizes the United Empire.
“But as I was packing my bags, I saw that armband in the top corner, and I brought that down, and I wore it on my arm to hope that there’s some little symbol, there’s some little part of you that’s still in there. That band. That band of brotherhood, mate. It’s not just a faction, it’s a band of boys that looked after each other. Me, Kyle Fletcher, Mark Davis, Jeff Cobb, The Great-O-Khan, Henare, Francesco Akira, TJ Perkins, Callum Newman, Gideon Grey. All of us together took over Japan. Young, hungry boys that only cared about each other.
“And one year, mate, one year ago, at Revolution, after I defeated Takeshita, and I saw my best friend, a man that I put in my home, a man that has picked up my son with me… Met me ringside, and I knew we was gonna get the band back together. I knew we was gonna get the boys in and we were gonna take over AEW. But that ain’t the case now. No longer are we taking over AEW as the United Empire. Now, we’re standing in opposite corners, and this time, we are locked inside of a steel cage. And I’m coming into this like a wounded animal, bruv. A wounded animal, locked inside a cage, backed into a corner, I got no choice but to fight!
“I’ve got no choice but to look at my brother, a man that I loved, loved him more than anything in this world, that I would do anything for ya! And instead, I have to fight back. I have to fight with every ounce of energy that is in my body. And know this, Kyle. Know that with every bit of love that I had for you, every knife that you stabbed in my back, I will stab you right back! I will grate up your face across that flippin’ cage! I will end this once and for all! Because my name is Will Ospreay, and I am on! Another! LEVEL!” The Aerial Assassin steels his heart before stepping inside that steel, but will he be able to end The Protostar?
Harley Cameron VS Tatevik Hunanyan!
Though she lost at Grand Slam: Australia, this wild Aussie has been getting wins on TV, on the Jericho Cruise, and even named her finishing move… uh, well, Her Finishing Move! But will we continue to #FeelTheWrath? Or is the hot streak going to cool off for the Spring?
The moment Harley’s in the ring, Tatevik CLOBBERS her! The fans boo, the bell rings, but Tatevik DRIBBLES Harley off the mat! Kyle Fletcher speaks.
“The thing that I love most in this entire world is dropping people on their heads. And the only thing that makes it just a little bit better is doing it looking like a million bucks. And the only, only, only thing that makes it just a little bit sweeter is when I get to do it to Will Ospreay. Now, Will, you talk about this Steel Cage Match on Sunday like it’s some stepping stone. Like once it’s out of the way, you can finally make your way to the world championship and face Moxley to save this company. But you could not be more wrong. You are and always have been the one standing in MY way. In the way of me achieving my destiny.
“Now, prophecy says that when this is all down, I will be remembered as the greatest professional wrestler of all time. And Will, I’m sorry, but all your accomplishments, they mean nothing. Because all you’ll be remembered as is Kyle Fletcher’s greatest rival. And now, this band, this band that I ripped off your lifeless body, is supposed to represent a brotherhood? United Empire. But just like the United Empire, this thing is a facade. Because all it is is a way for you to stroke your own ego! And this Sunday, there will be no brothers in your corner. You are being locked in the lion’s den, and this lion has been starved far, far too long.
“I am hungry for revenge! Those fans, they can chant ‘Ospreay! Ospreay!’ all they want, until they are blue in the face, but it means nothing! Because I will paint that ring, that canvas, that steel cage in red with your blood. And I want you to remember all the pain that you have caused me all these years, because I am going to return it this Sunday a thousand fold. And don’t forget that you asked for this. Now say my full name.” Kyle Fletcher is determined to destroy Ospreay, but what will it cost him in return?

Another big win for this dynamic duo, could Kyle & Roddy make the entire AEW Tag Division undisputed on the other side of Revolution?
The Don Callis Family speaks.
Calils says since he and Konosuke Takeshita have joined forces, “Life is good, brother. Life is very good.” They’re on a ride, and Kenny will not interrupt it. They called Omega the “God of Wrestling,” but there’s a new god! Because he is here, each and every day, defending the AEW International title while Kenny Omega, God bless him, no ill will here, sits in a hospital bed with tubes coming out of his stomach! How long until those guts explode? And at Revolution, that will be the last match, the last time, that the wrestling world sees Kenny Omega! Because “they” won’t just beat Omega a third time, they will END him!

Gravity wants Jericho 1v1 at Revolution, for the ROH World Championship!! The Space Cowboys are ready to ride into the City of Angels, but can Gravity bring down The Nueve?
Jon Moxley speaks.
“Adam Copeland and I are so different. We are not the same animal. We are barely the same species. But it’s funny how much we do have in common. Copeland came up the hard way. Poverty, starvation, drives across frozen lakes. We’re the last of a dying breed, you and I. On the road every single night, busting your ass through injuries. Through every obstacle they want to throw in your path. Chasing a dream, this fantasy. You can’t see, but you can feel it in your heart, you can almost feel it on your fingertips. The dream is to one day wrap that gold around your waist, feel that gold in your hands, to be world champion.
“That’s what drives you, man. That passion, that drive, every single night. You’d sacrifice it all for one more chance to play the game. Once you get there, man, you don’t wanna give it up for anything. That’s what this is about. Respect, hmm? I want to respect Adam Copeland, I want to like Adam Copeland, I really do. And I really tried. But, I just don’t get what you’re about, man. And when I get my hands around your busted neck, and I will, should I show you mercy? Would you show me mercy? Did you show my people mercy?
“When you hear the sound of your spinal column busting and cracking and popping and breaking, and you hear that sound reverberating in your skull and your eardrums…! You will feel what respect feels like.” The Maniac has said his piece, but will there be any piece of either man left after tomorrow night?

FTR meets with Daniel Garcia and The Undisputed Kingdom.
Cash Wheeler tells the group that they asked them all here because after last week, that wasn’t FTR’s best presentation. After Dynamite last week, then losing to them on Collision in a match they should’ve won, emotions ran high, that’s their bad. FTR is more professional that that. Dax Harwood says not him. He doesn’t apologize for not shaking hands. The only thing he apologizes for is stooging himself off to the referee. Kyle & Roddy were in the ring with the absolute best team last week, and the absolute best team should’ve won last week. Roddy asks “KYLE~!” if he hears this. Because Roddy’s pretty sure the best tag team did win last week.
Kyle says too true. But Kyle says one way or another, that victory was tainted. So to do the right thing, they’ll run it back. FTR agrees, the rematch is set for next week’s Collision! FTR heads out, as do Kyle & Roddy, but Adam Cole wants to talk with Garcia. Cole knows Garcia knows that Cole deserves his own rematch given what Shane Taylor Promotions did. But after tonight, we’ll just have to see if Garcia’s still TNT Champion. Garcia says that’s cute. But we will see. As much as Garcia wants to continue this conversation, he has to go defend his title. Cole says go get ’em, champ. Garcia heads out, will he still be the Face of TNT?
Backstage interview with The Hurt Syndicate.
Lexy Nair is with Montel Vontavious Porter, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin and notes that their AEW World Tag Team Championship match for Revolution is set against The Outrunners. Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum have been training hard, and they have a match tonight against The Premier Athletes, hoping to win and build momentum. With that said- MVP cuts Lexy off to say, “With that being said, let me say this. The Outrunners are so entertaining. They make you feel good, they make you feel happy, they make you laugh. They’re entertaining. But we’re about a different kind of entertainment
“We like violent, savage entertainment. Blood, pain. We don’t wanna make you laugh, we wanna make you cringe, we wanna make you gasp. The Outrunners are the underdogs. And that’s why most of you pathetic people that watch this, you identify with underdogs because in life, you are an underdog. But Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin have never been underdogs. They’ve only ever been the top dogs. And what they are going to do to your underdogs is they are going to make them suffer. They are going to hurt them, badly. And you know what you do to a dog when it’s suffering? You put it down. We’re the Hurt Syndicate, and we hurt people.”
The Syndicate heads out, but will it be so easy to kill the Youngest Men Alive?

AEW hears from The Don Callis Family and… #MXMTV?

But as long as Johnny is paying Callis, the Murder Machines don’t mind helping out. Okay, good enough. But speaking of those enemies, Mark Briscoe says it has been too long since he and Orange Cassidy conglomerated. The time has come, he and the Main Man with the Game Plan are gonna conglomerate with Big Boom AJ! Revolution, baby! Mansoor says if the other side is “The Conglomeration,” then guess what? This is the Cooperation! And together, they will DESTROY AJ, Briscoe, Cassidy and more!

Kenny Omega speaks.
“Takeshita, I’ll give you credit. You used me to get everything that you wanted. All of the questions that you had, I gave you every single answer that I could because I wanted to see the best for you. 2021 seems like a lifetime ago, but I still remember it very clearly. I still remember you being in this house, I still remember working out with you, I still remember watching tape, giving you advice. And I still remember you absorbing everything like a sponge, with your hands out, ‘Please, Kenny. Give me something that takes me to the next level.’ And then when I gave it to you, it still wasn’t enough. And I know that you think that Don can take you to the top of the mountain…
“Don himself thinks that you are the ultimate meal ticket. That you’ll be the one to shower him with the riches, shower him with all the gold, take him to the next step. But then what happens when you don’t? What happens after Revolution when I take your title away? Will you be thrown aside just the way that I was? Will you be thrown aside in the same way that Will Ospreay was? You see, the difference between you and Will Ospreay, Takeshita, is that Will opened his eyes. You’re still living in this fantasy world that Momsy, Dadsy, or Uncle Don is going to make something work magically, pull something out of thin air.
“And why is that? Because you’re afraid to go take it yourself? Well, I’m telling you right now, when it’s a singles match between us at Revolution, there is your chance. There is your chance, one on one, without Don, without any help, to beat me man to man. Show everyone that you’re willing to take that top spot. Show everyone that you are one of the best on the planet. At Revolution, Takeshita, you’re not facing the same guy that you had beaten twice in one week, Who you are facing is the guy that Don Callis himself used to call, ‘The God of Professional Wrestling.’ Do you really think you can beat this version of Kenny Omega?
“I guess tomorrow, we’re gonna find out. Until Revolution, I must bid you adieu. Goodbye, Takeshita, mwah. And goodnight, BANG!” The Cleaner has put Takeshita on notice, but will he still be The Best Bout Machine?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision, but wow, was this some go-home syndrome. All the promos and recaps were well done, such as Kenny right there at the end, but we got so many of them when honestly, Kenny’s was a touch redundant. He had one on Dynamite, why not use this one back then? Speaking of redundant, Cope and Moxley had promos again. Cope saying Moxley talks in circles doesn’t do much when Cope barely said anything new other than, “I have to win.” I’ve been saying this a lot already, but this is all learning towards Christian Cage cashing in his Casino Gauntlet contract to really throw things for a loop.
I did appreciate what we got of the “Mariah attacks Toni” that happened on Friday, that is a clever way to add to a build. Good promo from Bandido & Gravity to respond to what happened on ROH, and Jericho VS Gravity will be a great match, but I don’t see Jericho losing given the title is on the line. And I also did appreciate Ospreay and Kyle at least adding some new twists. Ospreay has a point that the United Empire could’ve been a thing in AEW, and Kyle bringing up how Ospreay was meant to get in on the Death Riders story was also a nice touch. The cage match could really go either way, and I suppose much of it depends on where the world title’s story is going.
The Opps winning a squash match but then getting nothing else was odd. I mean, good win for The Opps, but I guess with The Death Riders falling apart and also kayfabe hospitalized, there couldn’t be a challenge set for the trios titles here. Very good win for Harley with Tatevik also coming out the gate strong. Momo VS Deeb was really good, and Mone was good on commentary. Them teasing Billie hanging around continues to be interesting. It’d be rather interesting if Billie were to bypass another shot at the ROH Women’s World Championship to then go after and most likely lose to Mone for the TBS Championship. Because as I’ve said before, Mone is certainly retaining against Momo.
Awesome match from Hologram and Dralistico, and another great win for Hologram. LFI going after him and then beating up Komander was good stuff, and I would think Hologram & Komander VS Dralistico & Mortos is a tag match we get before Rush VS Hologram 1v1. Good promo from The Hurt Syndicate ahead of The Outrunners having their match. It was a natural move for Hurt Syndicate to go out there in hopes of distracting, but I like that it didn’t cost The Outrunners. Great win for The Outrunners tonight, but they’re definitely losing at Revolution.
We got quite the promo from The Conglomeration and the “Cooperation.” There’s no change to the match, but I suppose this means Lance Archer, Brian Cage & Mark Davis will be ringside to watch and possibly stack the odds against Big Boom AJ’s team. I would think the Faces still win but maybe it’ll be from The Don Callis Family ditching MXM TV. FTR had a decent promo with Garcia and the Undisputed Kingdom. FTR having a split attitude on how their match with Kyle & Roddy went is interesting, but at least we’re getting a rematch. That’ll be some good stuff, and might unofficially make the winners the next tag title contenders.
An awesome TNT title match for the main event, but being it was Collision, I figured Garcia would retain. Setting up an 8 Man Tag for Revolution’s Zero Hour is something, and I could see some “dysfunction” between Garcia and Cole could set up their TNT Championship rematch. And with that rematch, I feel like Cole should win. There’s a good chance he’ll have the TNT title while Kyle & Roddy face Lashley & Shelton for the tag titles. Golden Prophecy: All Elite Edition is certainly to happen in 2025.
My Score: 8.9/10

MJF is outside…?
“‘Hangman Did Nothing Wrong,’ that’s what you people like to say. But I disagree. See, what you decided to do, Adam, is decided to poke and prod the Devil. What I did to your boy, Christopher Daniels, friend, that was light work. See normally, I like to play with my food before I eat it. But Hangman, you got me feeling hungry. You got me wanting to take a bite out of that cute, blue-eyed baby face of yours. You got me wanting to prove a point to your s*itty little mark fan club! So you wanna call me out, Hangman? You wanna find me? You wanna fight me? I ain’t hard to find! I’m in the streets of Sacramento!”
If Hangman wants to talk Buckshots, MJF has a bullet with a name on it, and it reads, “HANGMAN! HANGMAN! HANGMAN! You wanna shoot, Cowboy? Well then saddle up, mother effer, and let’s ride!!” The Scumbag is on one tonight, but will he regret lighting that fire inside of Adam Page?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring.
Standing by the table that’s already set up, Schiavone notes we have an irate MJF. But tonight, it is time for the contract signing for the rematch at AEW Revolution, which is also a #1 Contender’s match to the AEW World Championship. First welcome out, alongside Prince Nana, SWERVE STRICKLAND! The Sacramento Memorial Auditorium is now “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” as The Realest heads to the ring, Nana doing the signature Swerve When I Drive dance. The fans fire up as Swerve steps in and takes his seat at the table. Schiavone welcomes out now Swerve’s opponent, Ricochet!
The fans boo as The One & Only walks out, not wearing the Embassy robe, but still wearing a backwards baseball cap to represent the Philadelphia Eagles. Ricochet goes to the ring, shows off the hat, then takes his seat across from Swerve. The fans chant “You Suck! You Suck!” at Ricochet but Schiavone has them get to business. Each man will have a chance to comment before signing. Schiavone points out that Ricochet isn’t wearing the Embassy robe that he stole months ago. Where is it? Ricochet says don’t worry about where his robe is, and don’t worry, we’ll all see it again on Sunday. It is in good hands, getting some, uh, upgrades, if you will.
Nana gets made and steps up, but Swerve holds him back. Ricochet says for Swerve to get “grandpa” under control until something really does happen to the robe. The fans boo, but Ricochet says we’re all excited. Swerve has done plenty of contract signings before, right? But none of them really ended well for him either. Ricochet showed up, he’s here, so now no one has to worry about Swerve’s house being burned down again. Ricochet laughs but the fans boo at his rude joke. Swerve leans in and says just sign the contract. Ricochet says of course, of course, but he’s a superstar, and superstars need time to shine before they sign.
But don’t worry, Swerve. You’re lucky. You’re lucky Ricochet is even here, is even humoring the rematch, because Ricochet should be done with Swerve! Swerve is the one that started this, that stuck his nose in Ricochet’s business. Swerve and all his little fans chose to mock Ricochet. Get it right! Swerve chose to mock and bully and embarrass Ricochet! And what happened? Even in the face of all that, Ricochet still beat Swerve. Yeah, that’s right! Ricochet won! That’s why Swerve mad! Because Ricochet won. Then just sign the contract. Oh, don’t worry, Ricochet will. The fans again chant “You Suck! You Suck!” at Ricochet.
Ricochet tells Swerve that now, Ricochet is one step away from achieving his goal of becoming AEW World Champion! So yeah, he’s more focused than ever! Ricochet is focused on Jon Moxley, he is focused on Adam Copeland, and he is focused on being exactly who he was always supposed to be: THE AEW World Champion! The fans boo, but Ricochet finally signs on the dotted line. Ricochet says, “Now don’t let Prince Nana down.” Swerve tells Ricochet to shut the hell up! The fans cheer that! Swerve says Ricochet is SO annoying! He is an entitled, self-righteous little p*ick, isn’t he?! Ricochet says no he’s not.
Swerve says yeah, he did start this, all to expose Ricochet for the cowardly fraud that he is! And on Sunday, that is exactly what Swerve’s gonna do. Does Ricochet think some low blow victory means something? He thinks that’s impressive? Ricochet stole the Embassy robe, he stuck Swerve with scissors and left him a bloody mess in the middle of the ring. But the biggest mistake Ricochet made is he left Swerve breathing. And with Swerve standing here, it will be Swerve breathing down Ricochet’s neck until he ends Ricochet! Ricochet mocks how scary that sounds, but Swerve says, “Awakening the Most Dangerous Man in AEW is a mistake that you’re gonna learn to regret to live with.”
The fans cheer on “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Swerve says this Sunday, Revolution, Swerve carves his path back to the AEW World Championship. Not just by running through Ricochet, but by putting Ricochet in the ground. And there will only be two things Ricochet will be remembered for. One of them is that Swerve briefly revived Ricochet’s career. The other is Ricochet’s ring announcer wife. Ricochet gets mad while the fans go wild! Swerve signs his part, so it is now official! Swerve wants Ricochet to do something now, but then Ricochet brings out the scissors! Swerve stops that, and shows he has HIS OWN SCISSORS!
Swerve JABS Ricochet in the face with his scissors! The fans are fired up for “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” while Ricochet flounders, blood pouring from his forehead! The contender’s match is Sunday, but there’s still tonight’s “Road to Revolution” tag match! Will Ricochet get his revenge alongside The Rainmaker? Or will Swerve’s House release the Hounds of Hell as he and Brody King stand together?
8 Man Tag: Will Ospreay, “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs, Orange Cassidy & Mark Briscoe VS Bryan Keith, Mark Davis, Brian Cage & Lance Archer!
It’s a star-studded start here in Sacramento as the Aerial Assassin conglomerates with The Powerhouse, Freshly Squeeze & The Sussex County Chicken! They’re taking on some common enemies as The Bad Apple is joined by The Don Callis Family’s Dunkzilla & Murder Machines! Will Ospreay and his team make it to Revolution? Or will Keith and the boys collect on that bounty after all?
Dynamite returns as the rest of Ospreay’s team makes their entrance. Then Bryan Keith makes his entrance, followed by the whole Don Callis Family, Callis himself included. The teams sort out and the fans fire up as Ospreay starts against Cage. Callis is on commentary and says all these fans are idiots, but Ospreay BOOTS Cage at the bell! Ospreay fires forearms, then whips, but Cage blocks! Cage whips, Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges to RAN- NO, Cage stops that! Fans tell Callis off while Cage THROWS Ospreay away! Cage storms up on Ospreay, scoops him, and uses him for bicep curls before a POWERSLAM!
The fans boo while Cage flexes. Cage puts Ospreay in a corner to fire LARIAT after LARIAT, then he short arm LARIATS! The fans boo more but Cage flexes. Cage drags Ospreay up, reels him in, and puts one out before he lifts. But Ospreay slips free, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and he RANAS this time! Then he BOOTS and SAIDOS! The fans fire up with Ospreay as he drags Cage up. Tag to Mark Briscoe and he fires an UPPERCUT! And a CHOP! And a forearm! And repeat! Briscoe tags Ospreay back in, he goes up to rain down fists! Ospreay goes to TEN, then tags Hobbs! The fans fire up as Hobbs climbs up, and he rains down fists!
Hobbs gets his TEN, then he tags in Cassidy! Sacramento is thunderous as Cassidy goes up, and he hits ONE! Cassidy is as fired up as Cassidy can be, but then Cage CLOBBERS him! The fans boo but Cage snarls as he whips Cassidy to a corner. Cassidy goes up and out, ducks a shot, and he buckle bumps Cage! But Cage stops Cassidy from taking him side to side! Cage swings, Cassidy ducks and RAMS low! Cassidy slingshots, but Cage blocks the blockbuster to make it a JACKHAMMER! Cage tags Archer and the Murderhawk looms over Cassidy. The fans rally for Freshly Squeezed, but Archer stands Cassidy up to ROCK him!
Cassidy wobbles, but Archer keeps him standing. Archer stands Cassidy up again to ROCK him again! Cassidy wobbles, but says hold on. He puts his free hand in his pocket! Archer reels Cassidy in, Cassidy ducks ‘n’ dodges, then goes again, but Davis stands in the way! Archer ripcords Cassidy for the HELLICOASTER! The fans boo but Archer stands on Cassidy while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Archer storms around, then glares at Briscoe while he rallies the fans for Cassidy. Archer storms back to Cassidy, CLUBS away on Cassidy’s chest, then HAMMERS away before he lets Cassidy fall over. Archer tells Davis this is how you do it, then he tags Davis in. Davis scoops Cassidy to SLAM him, then SENTONS! Davis looms over Cassidy, stares Ospreay down, then drags Cassidy up. Davis bumps Cassidy off buckles, then CHOPS him! Davis stands Cassidy up, CHOPS him again, then reels him in. Davis suplexes Cassidy and holds him up! And then the SLAM at TEN! Davis drags Cassidy to the corner, tags Cage in, and Cage CHOPS Cassidy!
Cassidy sputters but Cage deadlift suplexes him! Cage holds Cassidy up, shifts to a military press, then SLAMS him down! Cage flexes, kisses the bicep, then tags in Archer. Archer stays between Cassidy and his corner, then hauls Cassidy up. Archer suplexes and holds Cassidy up, and even marches around! Cassidy reaches out, but Archer SLAMS him down! Archer drags Cassidy over, CLUBS him down, then talks trash. Dynamite returns to single picture as Archer TOSSES Cassidy out! Archer taunts Ospreay and team, and as the ref stops Ospreay from storming in, Callis gets his cheap shots in! The fans boo but Callis gets away with it all!
Davis drags Cassidy up and puts him in the ring, the ref completely missing that crime. Archer suplexes Cassidy, Cage tags in, and he takes the handoff! Cage keeps Cassidy up, and he tags in Davis even though Keith wanted in. Davis takes the handoff, the fans continue to boo, and then Davis SLAMS Cassidy down! Cover, TWO!! Cassidy survives all of that damage and the fans rally up. Davis says if Keith wants in, then here. Keith tags in, and Keith flexes. Keith drags Cassidy up, but Cassidy suplexes! The fans fire up as Cassidy and Keith crawl, tag to Davis! Davis BLASTS Ospreay, then he taunts Hobbs & Briscoe!
Davis goes back to Cassidy, suplexes, but STUN-DOG MILLIONAIRE hits! Cassidy hurries, reaches out, hot tag to Hobbs! The fans fire up as Hobbs pushes through Davis and BLASTS the Murder Machines! The Murder Machines mug Hobbs, shout at the kids in the crowd, and then they bring the steel steps around! MURDER BOMB on the steps!! Ospreay is fading and Callis smiles as his men stand tall. And now, Kyle Fletcher walks out here to pick at the bones. The fans boo as hard as they can, but Cage & Archer sit Ospreay up for Kyle. Callis tells Kyle to go right ahead. Kyle tells Ospreay that this is what he wanted! Kyle HAMMERS away on Ospreay’s head!
The fans boo as Cage, Archer & Kyle all stomp away on Ospreay! Kyle then rains down forearms to the back of Ospreay’s head! Callis tells Davis to do his part, but Davis pulls Kyle away!? Davis says that’s enough, but Kyle says to get his hands off him! That’s not how this goes anymore! Davis doesn’t tell Kyle what to do! Davis needs to learn his place and do as he’s told! Cage has a chair, Callis says to use it! Kyle and Davis each have a hand on it. Kyle tells Davis should do it then. The fans chant “NO! NO! NO!” Davis hesitates, but Kyle and Callis both tell Davis to do as he’s told! So Davis SMACKS Ospreay on the back!
The fans boo, and chant “You Sold Out! You Sold Out!” Davis storms off, no longer wanting a part in this. Kyle sits the chair up, then drags Ospreay up. Kyle reels Ospreay in and suplexes, FULL METAL BRAINBUSTER!! Ospreay writhes, clutching a shoulder and maybe even his neck. The fans boo as hard as they can, but Kyle stands over him, flexing and showing off the sculpted body. Kyle then tells Ospreay this ends Sunday, inside the Steel Cage. Will Ospreay fall in the City of Angels? Or can the Aerial Assassin still fly with one good wing?
Adam Copeland VS Wheeler Yuta!
The Rated R Superstar promised Jon Moxley that he’d eliminate the Death Riders one by one, until there was no one to stand between him and The Maniac. Pac was first, then with Willow Nightingale’s help, Claudio Castagnoli and Marina Shafir fell on the same night. The Decoder is the last line of defense, will even he be the victim of a Con-Chair-To? Or does Yuta have what it takes to cope with the situation?
The bell rings and the fans fire up for Cope. Cope and Yuta step up, tie up, and Cope powers Yuta to a corner. The ref counts, Cope lets off at 4, and then backs up. The fans tell Yuta, “Get a Haircut!” but he ignores that while brushing hair out of his eyes. The two tie up again, Cope puts Yuta in another corner, but he again backs off as the ref counts. But then Cope blocks Yuta’s kick! Cope lets off, oddly being a good sport with Yuta. They tie up, and then Cope trips Yuta! Yuta is annoyed and he resets with Cope. They knuckle lock, and Yuta wrenches to trip Cope, then GROUND DRAGON SCREW! Yuta gets in Cope’s face while fans boo.
Cope shrugs that off and resets with Yuta. They go again, and Cope wrenches. Yuta chinbars but Cope wrenches again. Yuta rolls, handsprings, and breaks free. Yuta runs, Cope follows and LARIATS! Then he MONKEY FLIPS Yuta on the rebound! Cope arm-drags and has the cording hold!
The fans cheer as Cope shows he can go hold for hold with this young, former three-time ROH Pure Champion. Yuta gets frustrated by that, and he fights up. Yuta powers Cope to a corner, then lets off just to CHOP! The fans boo but Yuta CHOPS again! Yuta talks trash, then RAMS into Cope. Yuta whips, Cope reverses, but Yuta goes up and over! Yuta arm-drags Cope, arm-drags again, then DROPKICKS! Yuta kips up, soaks up heat, then runs corner to corner. Cope puts Yuta on the apron, ROCKS him, then slides under to YANK Yuta down! The fans fire up while Cope stalks Yuta, and Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Cope drags Yuta up, puts him in the ring, and stalks him to a corner. Cope fires a forearm, then another. Cope whips, Yuta reverses, but Cope BOOTS Yuta away. Cope goes up, leaps over Yuta, but the leg jams! Yuta grins and DDTS Cope down! Yuta smirks, then he rains down fists! The ref reprimands about closed fists, but Yuta lets off. Yuta paces around Cope, soaks up the heat, and then CHOKES Cope on the ropes! The ref counts, Yuta stops at 4, and reminds the ref that he has ’til five. Yuta then goes back to Cope, goes out to the apron, and he stands on Cope’s neck! The ref counts, Yuta stops at 4 again, then he puts Cope in position for a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP!
Yuta drags Cope back from the ropes, covers, TWO! Cope is still in this but Yuta stays on him with a cravat and neck wrench. Cope endures, the fans rally, but Yuta puts on the pressure. Cope fights up, fires body shots, but Yuta fires a KNEE! Yuta then turns Cope for a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Yuta snarls, pushes Cope down, then drops a KNEE! Yuta clamps on with a chinlock and he grinds Cope down. Dynamite returns to single picture, and fans are dueling?! “Let’s Go, Yuta!” “YUTA SUCKS!” Cope fights up to his feet, fires body shots, then swings, but into an RIGHT ANGLE SLAM! Cover, TWO!
Cope survives and Yuta is frustrated, but Yuta looks to the corner. Yuta climbs up, but Cope rises to UPPERCUT! The fans rally as Cope HEADBUTTS Yuta! Cope climbs, CLUBS Yuta’s back, then CLUBS him again. And again! And again, again, and again! The fans count all the way to TEN, then Cope brings Yuta up. Yuta fires body shots again and again, then he CLUBS away on Cope! Yuta BITES Cope’s forehead, then HEADBUTTS him down! DIVING SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Cope survives and Yuta is furious! Yuta hooks the arms, CATTLE MUTILATION! But Cope slips right out! Cope has Yuta’s arm for a CROSSFACE!

Cope powers up against the underhooks, rolls, and spins things around!
Cope has chicken wings, for a GLAM SLAM!! Shoutout to Beth and both men are down! The fans rally for “COPE! COPE! COPE!” as he crawls to ropes. Yuta stands, Cope runs up, but Yuta hurdles! Cope trips up into ropes, Yuta runs at him, but Cope sends Yuta out. Yuta rewinds but Cope’s on the move, too! SPEAR!! Cover, Cope wins!!
Winner: Adam Copeland, by pinfall
The Decoder was good, but Cope had his own solution to the puzzle! But now the question is… What will Cope do to Yuta? Cope has a mic, and he shakes Yuta’s hand?! Cope tells Yuta, “This is what respect feels like.” Cope choosing to take a more diplomatic approach here, knowing that what Moxley puts Yuta through is torture enough. Will we see there’s still a shred of dignity inside The Decoder? Oh, wait, speaking of Moxley, he storms out from the crowd! Moxley is upset with Yuta and that handshake, he wanted Yuta and Cope to murder each other! Moxley pushes Yuta around, and says Yuta better not be listening to Cope’s crap.
The fans boo as Moxley bullies Yuta more, pushing and pie facing him around! The fans now chant for Yuta to stand up to Moxley! Yuta does, by pushing past him! Moxley tells Yuta to get back here, then storms to the back to follow him. Moxley says fine, keep walking! If Moxley sees Yuta again…! Moxley grumbles about Cope being a master manipulator, then he talks to Cope through the camera. “Congratulations, Cope, you did it! I’m all alone! I’ll be all alone at Revolution. Defenseless. I’ll be like a sheep. You think you can just pick me off that easy? That’s what you think? Alright, you win, man. You win. You got to me!
“You pissed me off. You distracted me. You’ve wasted my time. You’ve brought out the worst in me, Copeland. You’ve successfully rattled my cage. Congratulations. But the bars were there for your safety. Now you’ve got me all alone, just like you wanted. What’re you gonna do with that, huh? What’re you gonna do to me on Sunday at Revolution? Nothing, that’s what you’ll do. You’ll do NOTHING! Rated R Superstar? You deserve to get your ass beat! And I’m gonna enjoy doing it! I’m gonna enjoy every second of beating your ass, because you deserve it and because I want to. Cuz it’s gonna make me feel good.
“Respect? You’re trying to show this kid about respect with a handshake? No. This business… There is no respect in this business! There never has been! I seem to be the only guy who gets that! You get respect one way in this business: when people know that you are willing to pull the trigger. And you pulled the trigger on me one, two, three times. Sunday at Revolution, I only gotta pull the trigger once.” Moxley storms off, but is he playing right into Cope’s hands? Or will there be no end to The Maniac’s reign of terror?
The Outrunners speak.
Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd meet by the Tower Bridge. Truth says this is their shot, and it may never come again. Turbo says yeah, but they’re ready to win those AEW World Tag Team Championships. WIN! We then get an Outrunners music video, “You Are Not Alone,” supposedly released… in 1987? And the video is of course a training montage straight outta Rocky. Will the Youngest Men Alive have the eye of the tiger as they take on The Hurt Syndicate?
MJF is still outside.
And it would seem he’s waiting for Hangman to come find him. MJF yells, “Hangman! Where you at, bud?” MJF says this is so typical. Renee Paquette walks up to MJF and says he’s obviously waiting for Hangman, but what’s the game plan? MJF says it doesn’t matter, because clearly Hangman isn’t going to show. Your cowboy is a gutless, yellow-bellied coward! And this Sunday, MJF will prove Hangman is not the main character. AEW’s main character, whether you like it or not, is MAXWELL! JACOB! FRIEDMAN! M J F! Wait, that longhorn-adorned R1T is pulling up… And it’s not stopping!! MJF and Renee run for it!
Hangman pulls over, gets out of the truck, and shouts, “Why you running, dumbass?! Get back here!!” Hangman stalks MJF, enters the building, and spots him! Hangman CLOBBERS MJF, they brawl onto the stage, and the fans fire up as Hangman throws MJF into railing! Wait, that’s not MJF! It’s just some guy in a matching suit and scarf! The guy pleads with Hangman, MJF made him do this! What?! MJF then CLOBBERS Hangman from behind! The Scumbag is the real coward, needing a decoy! MJF then THROWS Hangman into the apron! MJF drags Hangman in through the ropes, for a HEAT- NO, Hangman throws MJF away!
MJF’s leg buckles, Hangman takes aim! Slingshot, BUCK- LOW BLOW!! MJF hits Hangman first, then puts Hangman back in the ropes. The fans boo but MJF hits the HEATSEEKER!! MJF takes off his belt, takes off his button-up shirt, and reveals his T-shirt that reads “MJF DID NOTHING WRONG.” The fans boo because that’s just not true. MJF rains down fists on Hangman, security rushes out here, but MJF DECKS each guard, one after the other! MJF then brings out the Dynamite Diamond Ring, puts it on his pinkie, and- HANGMAN TACKLES HIM! The fans fire up as Hangman rains fists down in return!
MJF gets loose, DIAMOND PUNCH!! The fans boo but MJF gives the ring a kiss. MJF then goes out and grabs a mic. “You people love when your precious cowboy burns things, don’t you? Let’s see how you hypocrites feel when I do it.” MJF looks under the ring, and he brings out LIGHTER FLUID! MJF brings that over to Hangman, and he squirts it all over Hangman! The fans boo, but then MJF produces a lighter! Refs, security, producers, they ALL rush MJF! They tackle MJF to get that lighter away from MJF, and then get MJF away from Hangman! MJF shouts, “LEMME PROVE MY POINT!” MJF has gone completely insane!
Security carries MJF away kicking and screaming, but what will happen when he and Hangman face off at Revolution? Will the Devil of AEW actually burn The Cowboy alive?
Backstage interview with Ash Avildsen.
Lexy Nair is with the writer and director of the new film, Queen of the Ring, and asks what he can tell us about the movie. Ash says it is based on the true story of Mildred Burke, a small town single mother that pioneered Women’s Wrestling when it was illegal all over America. It has been an honor for him to bring her story to the screen, to work with all the great people here in AEW, from Tony Khan to Jim Ross, who told him about the original novel, and also introduced him to this leading lady. In steps Timeless Toni Storm! Toni says yes, “Mr. DeMille,” that is true, she is starring in the film as Clara Mortensen, “a vivacious vixen, captivating champion, and gorgeous gal.”
Clearly, it was a stretch for Toni. It is a great film, but her only regret is that her nude scenes were cut from the picture. Ash perfectly plays along as he says, “Now, now, darling.” As wonderful as those scenes were, it still had to be PG-13 so that families could come out and see the picture. Toni is box office gold, she may or may not be living healthily as part of his private collection on Mulholland Drive. Lexy says either way, Toni also has a sit-down interview with Renee Paquette and her challenger, Mariah May. Toni says that is also correct. “Mr. DeMille” shouldn’t watch this one. Things could get ugly.
In the meantime… Chin up, tits out, and watch for the Queen of the Ring, in theaters this Friday, March 7th! And now… We pose! Toni gets her close-up from Ash Avildsen, will Queen of the Ring and Revolution make for back to back blockbusters this weekend? Or will it still be All About Mariah?

Backstage interview with Mercedes Mone.
Renee gives the full introduction for The CEO, the AEW TBS Champion, #FourBeltsMone, and Mone is so excited. “Sacramentooo~! Say hello to your C E O!” Renee says this Sunday at Revolution, Mone will be facing Momo Watanabe with the TBS title on the line. Mone and Momo met before, but- Mone says she beat Momo. Look, Momo is legit. She is one of the best in Japan, and has beaten some of the best, just to get her shot at Mone. But Mone is the greatest TBS Champion of all time? And there’s no what? Uh, no stopping the Money Train? That’s right, Renee! That’s right!
But before that, AEW Collision will see Momo Watanabe facing Serena Deeb. Does Mone have any predictions for that match? Predictions? We’re talking Serena Deeb here. The Professor of Pro-Wrestling! The Woman of 1000 Holds! So come Collision, Mone will be watching. And Serena will break Momo for Mone. Because come Revolution, it will be a walk in the park. Why? Because that’s the price you pay? NO, not that catchphrase! W-which one then? “Money changes everything.” Well, will Mone get her money’s worth when Momo enters Deeb’s Dojo?
Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge: Max Caster VS ???
Platinum Max is back at it, but uh, he’s already 0-3 at his own challenge. Caster makes sure Justin Roberts introduces himself properly, then he copies MJF with his, “Cut my music, cut my music.” The fans boo but Caster says Sacramento is “lookin’ live at the Best Wrestler Alive. And we all know Platinum Max is the most talked about wrestler in AEW. Whenever I’m in the ring, I hear all the Maximaniacs talking! People over here are saying one thing, people over there are saying another thing. But tonight, I want us to all get on the same page. Try to follow along. Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive! Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive!”
What happened to his sense of rhythm? That is way too awkward of a chant. The fans prefer to boo anyway. Caster says alright, that was a good effort. We’re not gonna get it right on day one. They call this Sac Town for a reason: They’re all a bunch of ball bags! The fans boo, but Caster says no worries, there’s business to attend to. Let’s see who can survive the Best Wrestler Alive! It’s JAY WHITE! The fans fire up for The Switchblade while Caster has a bit of a freak-out. Will Caster learn to Breathe with the Switchblade?
The fans tell Caster he messed up! The bell rings, Caster and White circle, but then Caster says hold on. Caster picks up his certificate to show it off, then he tries that stupid chant, “Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive!” The fans still boo, then White catches Caster in a clinch! BLADERUNNER!! White mocks the chant, then covers, White wins!
Winner: Jay White, by pinfall

But White grabs the mic to say, “At Worlds End, the Rated R Superstar joined the fight against The Death Riders. And since that day, that man has had my back. And since that day, I have had his. And now, Moxley’s all alone. And this Sunday, Revolution, I will be there to see in the NEW AEW World Champion, Cope!” The fans cheer that, and then White makes sure Caster has his certificate. Will Jay White be right? Will we finally have a NEW AEW World Champion?
Sit-down interview with Toni Storm & Mariah May.
As promised, Renee sits down between the AEW Women’s World Champion and her challenger, these former friends turned bitterest of enemies. Renee welcomes us in, thanks them both for agreeing to this talk, and for agreeing to no physicality. Except Mariah immediately SPITS at Toni! Renee is rather startled, and Toni flatly says, “It’s nice to know you still care.” Renee asks Mariah, “What the hell is wrong with you!?” Mariah says, “Me?! It’s her! Look at what she made me do! Look at what she made me do to someone that I love! Sitting there like you’re the victim. You started this! You created all of this!”
Renee says NO, Mariah did this! Mariah came into Toni’s life, she started this! Mariah says she made it all work! All of it! But this is all because of Toni, all because of them together! Toni is nothing without Mariah. That title is nothing without Mariah! Toni survived in Australia, but there will be no surviving at Revolution, because they will both go down together. Is Toni proud of Mariah because she’s a “sick b*tch?” Well, then she’ll be the sickest Toni has ever seen! She is the Woman From Hell, and she will drag Toni down there with her, because deep down, Toni knows that Mariah did it better! Toni is still stern and stoic.
Mariah creeps a little closer, leaning on Renee a bit as she asks, “Isn’t this what you always wanted? A trilogy with your greatest costar, and it’s back where we first shared a ring together, at Revolution. We can have a Hollywood Ending, the one we always dreamed of.” Toni says, “You do not deserve the dignity of death. I sentence you to a lifetime of mediocrity. Your life will continue, your career will continue, and it will be good, but never great. People will like you, but never love you. Because the star that you are will not compare to the monster that you’ve become. So you will dwindle, be replaced, and be forgotten.
“Then one day, many years from now, someone will ask, ‘Whatever will happened to Mariah May?’ She found out what happens when you try to kill God.” Mariah throws her chair aside, she and Toni both stay up, and Renee says she simply prays neither of them gets seriously injured. Both Mariah and Toni tell Renee, “Pray for her.” Win, lose or draw, this WILL be the finale of a true classic! But will it be a tragic ending? Or will it be timeless?

Winner: Ricochet & Kazuchika Okada, by pinfall
Another dirty, underhanded tactic takes the win away from Swerve! Will Ricochet use this exact same strategy to win at Revolution? Or will cheating The Most Dangerous Man in AEW end very, very badly?
My Thoughts:
An awesome episode of Dynamite here, especially as a go-home to Revolution. For one, great stuff from MJF and Hangman, such as Hangman making good on his promise to go after MJF with his truck. Very clever stuff with the decoy, and then a very good brawl. MJF threatening to light Hangman on fire was also wild, but a clever direction to take this. Obviously he wasn’t gonna pull it off here, but I’m sure MJF will try it at Revolution. Jack Perry once got set on fire with proper precautions, I wonder if they’ll actually do it for MJF and Hangman.
Great 8 Man Tag to do a lot in the Don Callis Family story at once. While Ospreay’s team wins, them getting beat down does help muddy the go-home math. Obviously Cassidy & Briscoe are going to help Big Boom AJ win against #MXMTV on Sunday, so they have to be figuratively on the ropes here. Davis being reluctantly part of what happened to Ospreay makes me think Davis will ditch the Don Callis Family and help Ospreay win the cage match. And with word Jeff Cobb could be joining AEW in the near future, I feel like the United Empire will finally get going in AEW as a trio to start.
Cope VS Yuta was not at all the match I expected, but clearly that was per Cope’s plan. Cope wants Yuta to understand that he doesn’t have to be alongside Moxley anymore, and for the moment, it seems to have worked. Yuta could still stick by Moxley’s side given Jay White is sticking by Cope’s, but I guess we’ll wait and see. White answering Caster’s open challenge was good stuff given it also did two birds with one stone: Caster continues to lose because of his ego, and White got a win that he can carry to the other side of Revolution.
Very good tag match from Kris & Rosa VS Megan & Ford, and it makes sense the Heels would win this given Megan has already become quite the force here in AEW. Depending on how things go with titles, Megan could easily be in line for at least the TBS Championship. Mone had a very good promo to not only hype her match with Momo on Sunday, but to add a little something to Collision. In fact, Collision is being taped tonight right now after Dynamite so that everyone can rest up before Revolution. Mone on commentary for Momo VS Deeb will be good stuff, but I would think Momo wins. The go-home math will then favor Mone winning on the PPV.
I loved that Outrunners vignette, because it was very on-brand for their 1980s throwback gimmick. But as much as fans love them, and as awesome as it would be for them to pull off the upset, I don’t see Truth & Turbo winning the tag titles just yet. It just seems that we’re going to get Lashley & Shelton VS Archer & Cage first, given how the Hurt Syndicate purposefully made sure Archer & Cage lost the tag match. Though who knows, maybe Archer & Cage are why Truth & Turbo win as payback for that very screw job last week.
Great stuff in the AEW Women’s World Championship story. For one, Ash Avildsen playing along with Toni was a really fun promo. Then, Toni Storm and Mariah May probably gave us AEW’s best sit-down interview promo ever, because of how expectations were subverted from start to finish. Mariah spitting at Toni was her way around the No Physicality Agreement, and then Mariah was rather, uh, bipolar with how she talked to Toni. First she was upset, then she was almost pleading with Toni, because somewhere in that twisted mind, there’s still love there. Toni being completely stern that whole time was also a great way to play it. Their Hollywood Ending Falls Count Anywhere really could go either way, but I’m leaning towards Toni retaining.
And awesome stuff from Swerve and Ricochet tonight. Their contract signing to open was really good, especially with Swerve countering Ricochet’s shiny gold scissors with pitch black scissors. I am pretty sure Ricochet’s “upgraded” Embassy robe will be all about himself, but I would think they’d use a different robe as well, like a stand-in stunt robe or something just so they don’t actually do anything to the Embassy robe. The tag match main event was rather outta nowhere but it was still awesome stuff, and it also serves multiple go-home math equations at once. The Heels stand tall, Ricochet pinning Swerve, because I’m pretty sure Swerve wins at Revolution. Okada VS Brody could still go either way, but it’d be a great honor for Brody to not just beat Okada but to win the title.
My Score: 9/10
