Backstage interview with Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho.
Renee Paquette is with the #GoldenJets and congratulates them on being here for the Dynamite Fourth Anniversary. Just think back to four years ago, them on opposite ends, but now on the same side in a partial rematch with the Don Callis Family. How does it feel to have these four years under your belts? Jericho almost cuts Renee off as he says it is hard to believe that is has been four years. The very first AEW Dynamite main event was Jericho VS Omega. And today, only days after the 33 year anniversary of Jericho’s wrestling debut, he and Omega are aligned to take out the DCF tonight on the four year anniversary! That’s how you celebrate!
But wait! It’s EDGE! Adam Copeland says it is so good to see Renee. There should be fountains of maple syrup flowing right now with all this Canadian energy. He is so happy to be here for Dynamite’s fourth anniversary. He hopes to be here for the eighth, twelfth, and so on. But good luck tonight, Chris. They shake hands, and Omega says it is good to finally meet Copeland. Gotta say, really had Omega on the edge of his seat. And whatever future there is going forward, just let Omega know if you need anything. They shake hands and Edge says he’s gonna go out there, give his mission statement, and just do him a favor and take out the DCF. Edge still can’t stand Don.
Here we go! To another four years! Edge heads out, Renee is excited, and Jericho asks what about him. Well, she always sees Jericho, but y’know. Will AEW soon get Rated R with Adam Copeland around?
AEW International Championship: Rey Fenix w/ Penta El Zero Miedo & Alex Abrahantes VS Nick Jackson w/ Matt Jackson!
While the Immortal Firebird went down early in that Fatal 4 Way Tag at WrestleDream, which in part allowed the Young Bucks to become #1 Contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championships, Fenix is not about to miss the Dynamite Anniversary! But will his reign be cut short because of that bad wing? Or will Fenix avoid all this “curse” talk and continue through the Fall?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see if The Elite grabs up more gold!

Nick SUPERKICKS! Fenix somersaults to SPIKE-RANA! Cover, TWO!!
Fenix SUPERKICKS! Nick leans against ropes while Fenix clutches his back. Fenix rises again, runs, but Nick goes up and over! “This is Awesome!” as Fenix slides out, then avoids the cartwheel moonsault! Nick hobbles on the bad leg, and Fenix somersaults, into Nick’s cutter! Matt and Penta coach their brothers while the ring count climbs. We pass 5 of 10, and Nick stands at 7. Nick goes up but Fenix drags him down. Nick kicks Fenix, puts him in at 9, then aims. Nick RAMS into Fenix, slingshots, “SUCK IT!” FACEBUSTER! Cover, TWO!! Fans are in disbelief again and loving it! Nick is frustrated but he goes to a corner. Nick watches Fenix rise, runs in, SHINING WIZARD! Fenix roars as he sits up, but Nick roars as he SHINING WIZARDS again! And then, B T E TRIGGER!! Cover, TWO?!?!? HOW?!? Fenix might actually be immortal if he survived that! Then Fenix goes up to FROG SPLASH!!! Cover, TWO?!?!? Now Nick shocks everyone, and Fenix is furious!
Fenix and Nick go to opposite corners. Fans hope they “FIGHT FOREVER!” but this has to end somehow. Fenix runs in, JUMP SOBAT! Fenix reels Nick in, but the back won’t let him fireman’s carry! But then Fenix powers through! But Nick victory rolls! TWO, Fenix has it and even crosses the legs! FENIX WINS!!
Winner: Rey Fenix, by pinfall (still AEW International Champion)
Fenix finds a way to finish this as the victor! But with his back in such bad shape, will the reign continue much longer?
Adam Cole visits Roderick Strong at his home.
Cole is doing as Matt Taven asked him to do on Collision, and though he needs it, he delayed his ankle surgery because this is an emergency. And as soon as the front door opens, we can hear Roddy shouting for “ADAAAM~! ADAAAM~!” Cole says yeah, he’s here. Aw, dude, awesome! Then get in here. They’ve got something for him. Cole enters inside and there’s something hidden under a sheet. Roddy, what is this? Well Roddy couldn’t be the only one on wheels, so surprise! They got Cole a crutch scooter! Seriously? Yes! Cole and Roddy ride around the house, having a good time, all while Matt Taven & Mike Bennett watch and… pet Roddy’s stuffed giraffe?
After, Cole says that was so much fun. But Roddy, this visit was supposed to be about some emergency. What was the emergency? Oh, yeah, uh, Roddy just needs to move some furniture. Furniture? Roddy, Cole’s gotta have ankle surgery. Can’t Matt & Mike do it? No way, man, they don’t know anything about interior design! Cole’s numero uno at that! The feng shui is all off in here. Plus, didn’t Cole learn his lesson? He owes Roddy. Roddy tells The Kingdom that Cole doesn’t owe him anything. This is just what best friends do. Right, Adam?
Cole sighs, and while the others just sit around and watch, Cole does his bets to move a table, the couch and fluff pillows, with just one leg. They even have him hang a picture of The Kingdom visiting Roddy in the hospital? That good? Good? Yeah, this is awesome! Wait, he likes this? Like it? He loves it! It’s unique! Just like Cole. Well, alright, but Cole’s gotta get going. Promise to talk to you soon, okay? Great seeing you. But ADAM~! Before you go, Roddy still needs help with a few things. Cole sighs. Is Roddy guilt tripping Cole just to make him do menial tasks?
Wardlow VS Griff Garrison!
That’s right! Once again, THIS IS WAR! The former three-time TNT Champion is back, ready to get back on the warpath after a four month absence. Will AEW once again be Wardlow’s World? Or will the Ivy League MVP be able to ace this pop quiz?
The bell rings and Wardlow CLOBBERS Griff! Wardlow RAMS into Griff again and again and again, then stomps a mudhole! Fans chant for ‘WARD~LOW!” as he drags Griff up and reels him in. POWERBOMB! But the encore is here, POWERBOMB!! And then another POWERBOMB!! Wardlow keeps the symphony going, a fourth POWERBOMB!!! Wardlow drags Griff up again!? A FIFTH MOVEMENT!! The ref calls it, Wardlow wins!!
Winner: Wardlow, by referee stoppage
And then Wardlow just storms off into the night! Will he not waste any time getting back to a championship opportunity?
Backstage interview with Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita.
Renee is with the patriarch of the Don Callis Family, and his Alpha, and says the DCF is still riding high from WrestleDream. But they are already facing Jericho & Omega again, and we understand that there is something Callis wants to address. Callis says, “AEW has been shaken to its foundation with Sammy Guevara pinning Chris Jericho at WrestleDream. So much so, that conveniently, the quack medical team here has deemed Sammy Guevara medically unfit to perform.
“And you might think this would cause me a problem, Renee. But here’s what you gotta know about the Don Callis Family, everybody’s talking about it. There is no shortage of eager, able bodied young male athletes that want to show their wares so that they could maybe one day aspire to be part of the Don Callis Family. So at the recommendation of the great Will Ospreay, I have reached into the vault and chosen a great young athlete. A man in his early 20s. A man similarly sized to Takeshita. A great athlete, named Kyle Fletcher. He will be the partner of the Alpha tonight, and that’s gonna be fine.”
But Callis does have a personal message for Jericho & Omega. Before getting too excited about winning this battle, just remember that battles are one and lost in a war. No one remembers who won a battle. They remember who won the war. And Callis will win this one, no matter what it takes. Then will the Aussie Arrow in his arsenal help Creepy Callis end Chris & Kenny?
AEW World Trios Championships: The Acclaimed & Billy Gunn VS The Superbad Squad w/ The Bunny & Penelope Ford!
The Scissor World Tour continues as Max Caster, Anthony Bowens & Daddy Ass are still AEW World Trios Champions, and here’s a brand new diss track! “Acclaimed on the mic, it’s a national alert! Butcher and Blade, we put yer asses in the dirt! Their heads are so shiny, oh my gawd! I always knew you guys polished each other’s knobs! I’m just knockin’ ’em dead! Yo, Kip, your best look was the box on your head! All the fans here thinkin’ yer lame. But in Cali, everybody loves The Acclaimed!” Bowens then tells “STOCKTOOON~! The Acclaimed have arrived! SCISSOR ME, DADDY ASS~!” And he DOES! But then the Squad attacks!
Fans boo and the ref reprimands but Butcher throws hands on Billy while Blade CLUBS away on Caster and Kip stomps Bowens! The Squad TOSSES the champs out, but then Billy sends Butcher into railing! Bowens whips Kip and Caster whips Blade! The champs regroup and fans fire up as they TRIPLE SCISSOR~! The Acclaimed go out, but the Squad turns things back around as they send Bowens & Billy into barriers! Caster stalks Blade and the bell finally rings. Caster throws hands, whips, but Blade reveres. Blade scoops, Butcher runs in, SIDEWALK SLAM LEG DROP COMBO! Caster bails out and Kip is there to PENALTY KICK Bowens!
Kip then ARABIAN PRESSES Bowens & Caster down! Kip mocks the scissors while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Kip puts Caster in, stomps him down, then has him in a corner. Kip stomps a mudhole, the ref counts, and Kip lets off to taunt the fans. Kip storms back up on Caster but Caster kicks low! Caster throws hands but Kip kicks him low. Kip whips Caster into the corner, tags Blade, and Blade snapmares Caster to then KICK him int he back! Blade taunts Billy, drags Caster into a chinlock and grinds him down. Caster endures, fans rally up, and Caster fights up to throw body shots. Blade throws Caster down by his hair! Tag to Butcher and he goes after Caster on the outside, to RAM him into barriers! Butcher puts Caster back in to stomp him around.
Butcher whips Caster hard into a corner and Caster bounces off buckles. Butcher drags Caster up, DECKS him, then HEADBUTTS him! Butcher stomps Caster, tags Kip in, and they mug Caster. Kip ROCKS Caster, snapmares him, and then steps over for a mounted armlock. Kip bends the fingers, then BITES them, as if he’s trying to ruin scissoring! Kip drags Caster up, tags Blade, and Blade CHOPS and ROCKS and CHOPS again! Caster sits down and Blade digs his knee in! The ref counts, Blade lets off, but Butcher CHOKES Caster in the distraction! The ref has to keep Billy and Bowens back, and Blade taunts them.
Blade tags Kip, Kip runs to CANNONBALL! Tag to Butcher and Kip feeds Caster to a FULL NELSON BACKBREAKER! Butcher sucker punches Billy! Dynamite returns to single picture while fans boo Butcher, but Caster BACKHANDS him! Caster baits Butcher and sends him into buckles! Hot tag to Bowens! Fans fire up as the Five Tool Player rallies on Kip & Blade! Haymaker! CHOP! Repeat! ROLLING ELBOW for Blade! ROLLING ELBOW for Kip! Five Tool Strike Fest for Butcher! Bowens shouts, “EVERYONE LOVES THE ACCLAIMED!” Kip shouts, “NO THEY DON’T!” Bowens SOBATS Kip for that!
Bowens then runs to KOTARO KRUSHER! Cover, Butcher breaks it! Billy runs in to ROCK Butcher, but Butcher brings Billy around to TOSS him out! But Billy drags Butcher out to join him, and sends him into railing! Caster scoops Blade, SLAMS him, and then has the legs! Bowens goes up, Billy helps Caster open Blade up, SCISSOR ME TIMBERS! Kip springboards in but Bowens SUPERKICKS him down! Then Caster hauls Kip up, he and Bowens coordinate for the ASSISTED FALCON ARROW! Cover, The Acclaimed wins!
Winners: The Acclaimed, by pinfall (still AEW World Trios Championships)
And the tour continues! When and where will Caster, Bowens & Billy go next with these titles?
PROGRAMMING REMINDER for next week!
Remember, Dynamite won’t be on Wednesday (blame MLB), but that means it’ll be #TitleTuesday! For one, we see Saraya defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Hikaru Shida! Will the Knight defeat the Samurai? Or will we see history be made as Shida becomes a THREE-TIME AEW Women’s World Champion? Then, after both men were victorious at WrestleDream, Swerve Strickland and Bryan Danielson compete in a #1 contender’s match, the winner challenging Christian Cage for the TNT Championship!
After making it through tonight, Rey Fenix will again defend his International Championship against the former champion, Jon Moxley! Will the Maniac be back on top now that he’s back to 100%? And in his AEW in-ring debut, Adam “Edge” Copeland takes on Christian Cage…’s Right Hand of Destruction, Luchasaurus! Will the Rated R Superstar look to get through the pawn to get to the king? Or will Captain Charisma have plenty of tricks up his turtleneck’s sleeves?
Toni Storm, Portrait of a Star, part 3.
The Lightning From Down Under breathes heavily as she sulks by the window. RJ City says that she has been wrestling now for 14 years. Toni starts throwing shoes immediately! We don’t talk about that, now do we? Time! Who cares? Talk about the now! She’s here now! RJ is sorry, he wasn’t thinking! Toni grabs him by the collar and says he wasn’t thinking because he doesn’t know anything! He doesn’t know what it’s like to live this life! To be in the spotlight and everyone is trying to take it away from you! And all those that you came up with wither away into husks of themselves and you pray that you don’t end up the same!
Toni lies awake at night, wondering if she has “it,” or if she’s just lucky! Every match, every minute of every PPV is just a roll of a dice to see if it all gets taken away! That’s what RJ doesn’t know because he can’t know so he won’t ever know! Okay, but she’s not old! Oh, yes. She’s timeless. She’s timeless…! Toni looks to the sky and says, “I’m timeless! I’m TIMELESS!” With her mascara and lipstick smeared, Toni finally has some sense of sanity again. Will #TimelessToni finally be back in the spotlight?
AEW hears from Bryan Danielson and Zack Sabre Jr.
After their match at WrestleDream, The American Dragon sat backstage and said, “I have never, in my entire career, gotten to wrestle like that in front of these people. I am so grateful and happy that I was able to do that against a person as good as Zack.” But the Front Man said they were supposed to settle something tonight. Bryan says he knew that in order to beat ZSJ, he’d have to knock him the F out. But ZSJ counters that knocking him out to win was a scoundrel move. Bryan admits he was also disappointed in himself. He thought that at the end of this match, they would find out definitively who is the best technical wrestler in the world.
ZSJ says he felt Bryan’s bones disintegrate in ZSJ’s hands. Bryan says ZSJ does not have the heart that Bryan has! The soul that Bryan has! These two are clearly not done with each other, so when and where will we see the dream match go another round?
AEW hears from Hangman Page.
The Cowboy says that he finally gets it. The Mogul nearly broke Hangman’s arm, and still had to hit him with whatever that was. And yet Swerve thinks he’s got the spot now? That’s how this happens? That Swerve doesn’t have to earn it if he can just take it? Maybe he’s on to something, who knows. But for Hangman, he just needs rehab, icepacks, and to go back to the drawing board. Swerve, if you think cheating and hitting Hangman in the head with foreign objects is what gets you Hangman’s spot, you’re wrong. But Swerve is the one facing Bryan for the TNT title #1 contender’s spot, will he earn it by any means necessary?
Bullet Club Gold is here!
Rock Hard Juice Robinson, Fully Cocked Colten Gunn and… Austin Gunn are here, but not Switchblade Jay White. That is because after getting in the face of Maxwell Jacob Friedman, a mysterious band of masked men attacked White backstage, and their leader was wearing MJF’s infamous devil mask. MJF defended his innocence on Sunday, but there still needs to be proof. Austin gets the mic to ask, “Who’s ready for story time with the Bang Bang Gang, baybay?” Fans boo his reference to Adam Cole, as well as Colten and Juice mocking Cole and MJF posing together with their bad foot and bad neck.
Austin says no, no, no, get up. They’re not here to address “the soft, brittle, injury prone one.” They’re here to address the brown-haired kid that stands about this high (Austin motioning MJF is short, but uh, is taller than Austin…) and struts around with all those belts. The one they call “The Devil.” Oh, the People’s D-Bag? Er, no, scumbag. The one who says he’s a generational talent, yet he spent like 20 minutes on White and the best he came up with was “Tofu?” Fans chant “TOFU! TOFU!” but Colten says MJF jumped White because he is scared! MJF knows he is gonna suffocate when he tries to Breath With The Switchblade!
Fans boo but Juice takes the mic to tell Friedman, “Get your ass out here! You got some splainin’ to do, boy! C’mon, you can wear your little devil Halloween costume! Bring your band of gimp suits! If you’re a man, you’ll come out here and face us like one! But you ain’t a man, are you? No. You’re a little itty bitty butt sucking-” WAIT! Speak of the Devil of AEW, here comes MJF! And MJF has the music cut so he can say, “It appears the Devil has arrived in Stockton, California! And we’ve got an interesting trio in here making a lot of accusations, huh? We’ve got the Ass~ Boys~.” Fans echo “ASS~ BOYS~!”
And there’s also their best friend, Juice Robinson, AKA Talentless Taint! Juice can’t believe MJF went with “taint.” The Gunns say he’s rock hard! MJF says it is crazy, but call him Mystic Max. Right here in Stockton, we’re gonna have one of the loudest dueling chants ever. It’s gonna sound like this: “ASS~ BOYS~!” “TALENTLESS TAINT!” Fans jump on it right away! “ASS~ BOYS~!” “TALENTLESS TAINT!” The BCG all block each other’s ears but MJF says he’s magic! Isn’t that nuts!? And interestingly, MJF has done some horrible things in life. And since it is the fourth anniversary of Dynamite, maybe it’d be good to list them off right here!
The fans cheer that, but MJF wants Stockton to understand, he is a raging narcissist. Try that again. He wants to do it right here in Stockton! The fans cheer louder and MJF says for starters, he threw Jericho off the top of the Blood & Guts cage. Then he whipped Cody Rhodes ten times with a belt. He just so happened to give several children dodgeball related injuries. And his personal favorite: he almost got them kicked off of TV when he decided to call his boss, Tony Khan, “an effing mark.” So what MJF is curious about, BCG, what makes you think he wouldn’t be honest and open? He’s honest and open about everything he’s done in his life, because he’s not just a scumbag, he’s THE PEOPLE’S SCUMBAG!
Fans chant “He’s Our Scumbag!” and MJF smiles and shrugs. But what’s even more interesting, MJF knows for a fact he didn’t go and attack their boy, “Tofu” White. Fans chant “TO~FU! TO~FU!” But if they don’t wanna talk it out like gentlemen, MJF has been hanging around out here in Stockton, and he knows how the people here handle business. So here’s an idea. Right here, right now, we have ourselves a Stockton Street Fight!! Fans fire up for that as MJF storms up, Dynamite Diamond Ring on hand! Fans lose their minds as BCG is more than ready, and MJF throws off his shirt and the belt. But then BCG bails out?
Fans boo and MJF says he thought so. But JAY WHITE IS HERE! Switchblade hits BLADERUNNER on MJF!! The Bang Bang Gang got one over on MJF, and White holds up the AEW World Championship. Devil ambush or not, White wants to take Triple B from MJF, and in fact, he seems to be taking it with him as it is! Fans boo, but what will MJF do to get revenge? White gets on the mic to tell the fans to shut up! He needs their scumbag to hear this. “This looks right. Now Max, I don’t know what type of caliber athlete you’re used to dealing with, but I’m a cut above and your cheap parlor tricks and games don’t work here.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, you got the best of me last week. But you’re not fooling anybody! None of us believe a single word that comes out of your scummy little mouth! And you say it wasn’t you? Might as well be a confession! Cuz we’re not buying what you’re selling, unlike all these filthy poors!” Fans boo and MJF scowls as he sits up. White says no, no, no! Unlike everyone else, the BCG use their brains! They know the REAL MJF: a pathetic, dirty liar! A slimy, gutless coward! And the BCG need a truly elite champion! One that lives up to that name! And Maxwell Jacob Friedman is NOT him!
But hey, White is fair. If MJF wants to prove him wrong, then put it all on the line! November 18th, the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, Full Gear! MJF VS Switchblade for the AEW World Championship! Fans do like that idea, and White says Max can try to prove him wrong. MJF can try to prove he is truly elite, and he will FAIL! But White says he’ll take it from there. He’ll lead by example starting tonight! He’s taking Triple B, and if he’s not down with that, they’ve got two words for ya! GUNS UP! MJF gets a mic and says no no no, Tofu! You want MJF at Full Gear?! Then MJF has two words for him! “YOU’RE ON!!”
Fans fire up and the Devil is coming to LA! But is this all playing into King Switch’s hands? Or will White regret angering the devil he knows?
Backstage interview with OrangeHook.
Renee is with Freshly Squeezed and the FTW Champion and says at WrestleDream, they were so close to becoming #1 contenders to the AEW World Tag Team Championships. Cassidy says yeah, yeah, and they would’ve been great champions. But hey, Hook uh, is still a great champ cuz he has a championship. Hook says Cassidy will be a great champion again, too. It should be him against Fenix and not Moxley. Yeah, but uh, Moxley was champ for like three weeks and Cassidy was champ for eleven months. They share some chips, and Cassidy says it’s whatever. When and where will Orange get back to being golden?
Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho VS Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita w/ Don Callis!
While The Cleaner, The Ocho & The Golden Star couldn’t beat the Don Callis Family, it is a partial victory that they sidelined The Spanish God for the Dynamite Anniversary. However, will they be able to rebound now that an Aussie Arrow is aimed in their direction? Or will the Winnipeggers stay alive in this war with Creepy Callis?
Callis joins commentary while The Alpha and Fletcher go to the ring. The teams sort out and Konosuke starts with Jericho. The fans fire up as the two circle and the two tie up. Konosuke waistlocks, Jericho wrenches and headlocks but Konosuke powers out to run Jericho over! Konosuke flexes but Jericho CHOPS! Konosuke CHOPS, Jericho CHOPS, then they fire forearms! Konosuke claws Jericho’s eyes, headlocks, but Jericho powers out to run Konosuke over! Jericho keeps on Konosuke, tags Omega, and fans fire up even more! Omega throws hands, CLUBS Konosuke then CHOPS again! Fans rally as Omega bumps Konosuke off buckles!
Omega ELBOWS Takeshita, reels him in, and tags Jericho back in. They mug Konosuke, then Jericho brings Konosuke around. Konosuke blocks the suplex, but Omega CLUBS Konosuke! Omega helps out, they DOUBLE SUPLEX Konosuke down! Fans fire up and Jericho has the cocky cover, ONE! Jericho drags Konosuke up, but Konosuke claws Jericho’s eyes! The ref reprimands, Konosuke whips but Jericho reverses as Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Konosuke ducks ‘n’ dodges and TAKESHITA LINES Jericho down! Konosuke suplexes Jericho high and hard, then cocky covers! Omega CLUBS Konosuke! Konosuke glares at Omega but tags to Fletcher. Fletcher taunts the fans, then sucker punches Omega! Omega rushes in, the ref keep shim back, and Fletcher bumps Jericho off buckles. Fletcher CHOPS Jericho, then brings him around to scoop and SLAM! Cover, TWO! Fletcher is annoyed but he drags Jericho over to tag Konosuke. They stand Jericho up and mug him, then Konosuke fires forearms. Jericho hits back, the two go back and forth, and Konosuke winds up to DECK Jericho!
Konosuke looms over Jericho at the ropes, and puts him on ropes to CHOKE! Fletcher taunts Jericho, the ref counts, and Konosuke lets off. Jericho sputters, Konosuke brings him up and ROCKS him again! And again! Konosuke runs into a DROPKICK! Jericho and Konosuke are both down, and Konosuke tags Fletcher! Fletcher stomps Jericho down, then taunts him to tag Omega. Fletcher brings Jericho up, ROCKS him, then CHOPS him! Jericho CHOPS back! Fletcher CHOPS again, so Jericho CHOPS again! Fletcher CHOPS then fires off a flurry of forearms! Fletcher runs, but Jericho THROAT CHOPS him down!
Dynamite returns to single picture as the fans rally up for Jericho! Omega coaches him on, Jericho LIONSAULTS! Direct hit but Jericho can’t make the cover after bouncing off Fletcher! Jericho and Fletcher crawl for their corners, hot tag to Omega! The Cleaner rallies on Fletcher and Konosuke with big Polish Hammers! Fletcher dodges the discus to kick and whip but Omega reverses to fireman’s carry! “YOU! CAN’T! ESCAPE!” But then Fletcher does! Fletcher runs in at the corner, Omega dodges and the kick hits buckles! Omega then scoops Fletcher to put him in the ropes. Konosuke CLUBS Omega!
Konosuke whips, Omega reverses and fireman’s carries! “YOU! CAN’T! ESCAPE!” ROLLING SENTON for Konosuke, then a DRAPING BACKSTABBER for Fletcher! The fans are thunderous as Omega drags Fletcher up to full nelson. Konosuke runs in so Omega ditches Fletcher to catch Konosuke. But Konosuke elbows out hard! And ROCKS Omega! Fletcher SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Jericho runs in, but into a SUPERKICK! Fletcher and Konosuke coordinate, Omega in one corner and Jericho in the other. They both run, GAMANGIRI for Jericho and BOOT for Omega! Then they go the other way, GAMANGIRI for Omega and BOOT for Jericho!
Fletcher & Konosuke each scoop, BLUE THUNDER BOMB for Jericho and MICHINOKU DRIVER for Omega! Cover, TWO!!! Konosuke drags Fletcher away, the ref reprimands, but Omega hurries in to drag Fletcher back! Omega flips Konosuke off, so Konosuke storms in. The two start throwing forearms! ROLLING ELBOW from Konosuke! Omega CHOPS, eggs Konosuke on, so Konosuke fires boxing elbows! Omega CHOPS Konosuke down!! Omega then coaches Jericho up and Jericho reaches out. Winners: Kenny Omega & Chris Jericho, by pinfall
Callis says Fletcher screwed this up! Well, guess that means there won’t be a spot in the family for Fletcher. But as Callis said, this isn’t about winning battles but about winning the war! Wait, who’s coming in from crowd side? POWERHOUSE HOBBS CLOBBERS OMEGA AND JERICHO!?! Hobbs has been out of action since All Out, and he vowed absolute destruction, but is this what he meant? Callis grins as Hobbs rains down fists on Jericho, then he kicks Omega out of the ring! Hobbs drags Jericho up, for the SPINEBUSTER!! Hobbs then goes out after Omega to RAM him into railing! Then he CHOKES Omega while talking trash!
Hobbs ROCKS Omega with a haymaker, then he TOSSES Omega over the railing! Omega bowls into chairs and fans go nuts! Hobbs says Omega made him do this! Konosuke keeps Jericho down as Hobbs stalks Omega. Hobbs ROCKS Omega and Omega flops against railing! Hobbs stomps Omega on the bare concrete, and fans boo as Hobbs pulls a railing away from the rest of the barricade, to SLAM it on Omega!! Hobbs puts Omega through the bars to CHOKE Omega!! Omega flails and sputters but he’s stuck! Callis applauds while the fans boo and chant “YOU SUCK! YOU SUCK!” Hobbs doesn’t care, he BOWLS Omega into more chairs!
Hobbs then drags Omega up, TOSSES him back over the railing, and returns to ringside. Konosuke puts Omega in the ring, and Hobbs looks around under the ring. Omega crawls while Konosuke stalks him. Hobbs throws duct tape in, and then gets a chair! Konosuke CHOKES Omega, and Callis uses the tape to tie Omega to the ropes! Omega is bound and defenseless as Hobbs storms up with the chair. Konosuke DROPKICKS Jericho off the apron, keeps him down on the outside, and then Callis makes sure Omega is completely immobilized. Jericho gets in but Hobbs JAMS him with the chair, then CLOBBERS him with it!
Fans boo as Jericho is down and Hobbs fires off shots on Omega’s ribs! Hobbs says everybody can get it! Hobbs then aims, but Callis says hold on. Callis wants to be the one to do the honors. Hobbs says go right ahead. Omega tries to kick at Callis, but Hobbs and Konosuke hold him back, so Callis can HEADSHOT!!! Callis shows off the dent in the chair, his new “masterpiece” to go with all his oil paintings. Fans chant “F YOU HOBBS!” and “F YOU CALLIS!” but Callis gives Omega some stomps. Callis holds up Hobbs’ hand, is the Powerhouse now part of the family?
Backstage interview with MJF.
Renee is with The People’s Scumbag and brings up what we saw happen with him and Bullet Club Gold. That vicious attack, White stealing the world title, and then issuing a challenge for the title which MJF has now gone and accepted. He has so much going on right now, so how is he feeling? Wait, The Acclaimed have walked in to get some electrolyte drinks, and Caster notices MJF. Caster walks over to take over the neck rub. MJF notices and gets very upset! He is so sick of this! Caster has been leaving weird letters in his bag, and constantly tweeting really weird stuff at him! Is Caster a stalker or something?
Caster defends it isn’t like that. No, it is exactly like that! Caster either leaves or MJF gets a restraining order on him! But maybe scissor- NO! No scissors! Okay, okay, sorry. Caster still says MJF is King Maxie. Caster leaves with the rest of The Acclaimed, and Renee agrees, Caster’s tweets do come off as a bit aggressive. MJF wants to call Cole, he just can’t take being on his own right now. The phone rings but there’s no answer. Voicemail? MJF is so frustrated, and doesn’t even bother leaving a message. What is MJF going to do without anyone backing him up?
AEW hears from Samoa Joe.
As he has himself some scotch and a nice cigar, The One True King of Wrestling Television says, “There’s many aspects to being a champion, but the one thing you can never truly replicate is the hunger to be a champion. Now, I’ve been a champion myself many times. And over those championship reigns, I know what it is to be hungry, and to be satisfied. Now the man that you look at before you is a man who is very satisfied, who has all the comforts of the world because he has been a champion everywhere he has ever been. But there in lies the problem. Y’see, for me to be a champion, I need to be focused. For me, to be a champion in this day and age, I need that hunger.
“That is why that I am here today, to announce that I am focused, I am ready, and that I should be AEW World Heavyweight Champion. And granted, no matter how I may feel about the outcome of my championship match, Max, you did earn my respect. And soon enough, you’ll realize that when I’m hungry, I always manage to eat.” The ROH World Television Champion is not going to stop at being ROH World Television Champion, so will he become the One True King of Wrestling period?
Toni Storm VS Skye Blue!
Just as she said earlier tonight, Toni is timeless! So does that mean no matter what, she will always be the star in the spotlight? Or will the Storm be blown away by the Chicago Skye?
The bell rings and Storm shakes hands with the ref. Then Storm offers to shake Skye’s hand, only to short arm LARIAT her instead! The ref reprimands but then Storm stomps away on Skye! Storm drags Skye up, and TOSSES her by her hair! The ref reprimands more but Storm puts Skye in a corner. Storm then TOSSES Skye by her hair again! Fans cheer and Storm soaks it all in. Storm drags Skye up, but Skye shoves her, runs in, and she THROWS Storm by her hair! Fans cheer the payback and Skye SHOTGUNS Storm to a corner! Skye runs in but Storm dodges! Storm runs in but Skye dodges to ROCK her with a forearm!
Skye goes up but Storm CHOPS first! Storm runs side to side to HIP ATTACK Skye to the floor! Fans cheer and Storm says we’ll be right back after these words from “our very, very important sponsors.” What a great segue into picture in picture!
Storm drags Skye up, CHOPS her, and then CHOPS her again! Skye staggers away, Storm brings her around and RAMS her into railing! Storm refreshes the ring count, then brings Skye up to wave to fans. And then she CHOPS Skye again! Storm says her hand hurts! Skye crawls but Storm drags her up, but Skye avoids the chop! To CHOP back! Skye stomps Storm, Storm tries to crawl under the ring but Skye drags her back out. Storm BOOTS Skye away, refreshes the ring count again and then goes out after Skye. Skye hits back but Storm CHOPS her down! Storm drags Skye up to RAM her into the railing!

Skye fires off forearms on Storm! Fans fire up with Skye and she whips, but Storm reverses. Storm scoops, Skye RANAS! Fans fire up with Skye again and she runs to SHINING WIZARD at the ropes! Then a snapmare, but Storm blocks the superkick, only for the BASEMENT ROUNDHOUSE to hit! Skye shouts and fans fire up with her again. Skye runs corner to corner but Storm puts her on the apron. Skye ROUNDHOUSES, goes up top, and she CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Storm is still in this and Skye grows frustrated. Skye full nelsons but Storm arm-drags free, to SKY HIGH! Cover, TWO!!
Storm is upset with the ref but the ref says his count was fair. Storm says “How DARE you!” But Skye rolls her up! TWO, and Skye SUPERKICKS Storm down! Cover, TWO!! Storm survives and Skye can’t believe it! Skye drags Storm up, slaps her around, and Storm clings to Skye, apologizing? Skye pushes Storm away, but Storm blocks the kick and hits a GERMAN SUPLEX! Skye flounders to a corner and Storm goes to the other. Fans fire up as Storm says “I’m ready for my closeup!” Storm runs in to SWEET HIP MUSIC!! And then the STORM ZERO!! Cover, Storm wins!
Winner: Toni Storm, by pinfall
Timeless Toni’s debut is a blockbuster! She thanks the ref and Skye for their part in this performance, but will she become an award-winning leading lady? AKA, a champion?
BREAKING NEWS for Rampage!
As the chase for tag title opportunities continues, The Hardy Boyz team up with Best Friends to take on the former Jericho Appreciation Society! Will Matt, Jeff, Chuck & Trent DELETE these sports… enner-tay-ners? Plus, Hikaru Shida teams up with Kris Statlander to take on the Vicious Vixens, Nyla Rose & Marina Shafir! Will the Shining Samurai be rolling towards Title Tuesday? And then, with Eddie Kingston on commentary, there will be a star-studded Fatal 4 Way! Johnny TV, Komander, Penta El Zero Miedo and Lince Dorado all fight for a shot at the ROH World Championship!
Backstage interview with Stokely Hathaway.
Renee is with a member of the ROH Board of Directors, and he cuts her off to say he can handle this. He has breaking news, that he couldn’t say on Sunday because Eddie was so rude, but this Friday on Rampage, there will be a Fatal 4 Way to determine a #1 contender to the ROH World Championship. “And guess what, Eddie? You will be there live doing commentary to see who is next in line. We need a champion that smells like Tom Ford, not Burger King and Newports. See you Friday.” Big Stoke may just be stoking the flames, will The Mad King have his own response to all this?
BREAKING NEWS for Collision!
After getting the WrestleDream All-Star 8 Man win last week, Ricky Starks & “Big Bill” Morrissey are getting a big opportunity! They’re facing FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Championships! It will be a special 7 PM Eastern edition of Collision, will it be an Absolute classic? Or will Cash & Dax still be Top Guys?
Tony Schiavone is in the ring.
He says “What a way to celebrate the fourth anniversary of Dynamite.” Welcome to All Elite Wrestling, the Rated R Superstar, ADAM COPELAND! “You think you know him.” Edge makes his entrance and Stockton goes wild as he gets his pyro! Edge gets in the ring and fans fire up even more. Schiavone says it is great to be here with a true legend. It was the biggest news the last week, the fans are still rabid for Edge being All Elite. Edge says he grew up with Schiavone’s voice as the soundtrack to his childhood, so this is a big deal for Edge. And he loves Schiavone, but this is his ring now, so hit the bricks.
Edge and Schiavone shake hands and fans chant “ADAM! ADAM! ADAM!” Edge says he’s never heard that chanted for him before, that is fun! But seriously, he came out here, and he wants to rewind back a bit. 2011, he’s told he can never do this again. Fans boo that memory, but Edge says we’re in 2023 and now he’s in AEW! Fans cheer that! And now there are quite a few reasons why Edge is here. He’ll get to the major reason why last, though. Because he doesn’t know about them, but he is pretty sure the AEW World Championship would look good around Edge’s waist. There is a whole roster of first-time-ever matches for Adam Copeland. And yes, he referred to himself in the third person, never done that before, so kinda weird. Won’t do it again.
Fans again chant for “ADAM! ADAM!” and Edge wants us to think about it. First-time-ever matches! Edge VS Jon Moxley! Edge VS Kenny Omega! Miro! Powerhouse Hobbs! Jay White! “Stray Bullet” Juice Robinson! Those are all amazing reasons to be here. To challenge Edge 31 years into his career with something brand new, and the fans are making that happen. He’s said this before, this will be the last time he says it, the main reason Edge came to AEW was because he sat down with his family. He said to his little girls, Lyric and Ruby, “What’s Dad do? Should I retire?” That choice was up there.
But then Lyric, at only nine years old yet far wiser than him, told him to go have fun with “Uncle Jay.” So speaking of Uncle Jay, he’ll call him what we all know him as: Christian Cage. Fans boo and Edge knows. But right now, Edge wants to talk to Christian to tell him the real reason for being here. Edge waits, fans chant “UNCLE JAY! UNCLE JAY!” and here comes Captain Charisma! The man who is still AEW TNT Champion after Nick Wayne betrayed Darby Allin now struts to the ring, that belt on his shoulder. Christian circles around Edge once, and then looks him in the eyes while fans lose their minds.
Edge says for 40 YEARS, these two have been best friends. They were friends even before being in the industry. But it was being in this industry together that made them realize they would be friends for life. Fans cheer that, but Edge continues to say, “I know what you’re thinking. Why did I do what I did at WrestleDream?” Why did Edge smash Nick Wayne, throw the chair at Luchasaurus and hit Spears on them both? It is quite simple: Edge sees Christian here, just like this, his face all pursed up to look more like a dick than usual. TV censored it but the fans reveal what was said.
And even though Edge knows this about Christian, he still loves him. Fans go “Aww…” as Edge says that’ll never change. But Edge saw Christian standing over Sting. Sting! A man whose poster Christian once took to the barber and put it on the mirror so that they would cut Christian’s hair like that. Yeah, the classic box top with rat tail while Edge had the Lex Luger. That was them! And Edge sees Christian standing over Sting, “a man who has entertained people for over four decades! A man who has caused people to feel for over four decades! A man… My wife’s parents, they couldn’t speak English, they’re Polish, but guess what? They loved Sting.”
So Edge can’t just stand here and watch Christian smash Sting with a ConChairTo! That is why Edge did what he did. But Edge also did it because he knows, from experience, that Luchasaurus and Nick Wayne are gonna drop Christian like a bad habit once they’ve sucked all the knowledge they can outta Christian’s brain. Fans go “Ooh~!” Edge says Christian is so egotistical that he won’t see it. “But Jay, man, I’m here. I am here because it’s time.” Huh? That got Christian to look up. “It’s time. For the first time since 2011, for the first time properly in over 20 years, it’s time. For you and I… To team together again.” Fans love that idea!
Edge wants Christian to join him in facing a team like FTR! A team like The Young Bucks! To show an entire generation for fans why Edge & Christian is inarguably among the greatest tag teams of all time!! Fans chant “YES! YES! YES!” Edge is here, hat in hand, asking Christian… “Let’s do it. Let’s end our careers together as a team. Let’s show them all what we can do!” Fans chant “ONE MORE TIME! ONE MORE TIME!” Christian wipes off his hand, and holds it out to Edge. Edge hands over the mic, and Christian looks at his TNT title. Then he offers Edge a hug! Edge takes it! Fans cheer that these two are together!
But then Christian says Edge can go F himself?!? Fans boo as Captain Charisma just rejected his oldest friend in the world!! Christian leaves, fans tell him he’s an a-hole, but he doesn’t care. Christian says, “Before I go, just a quick reminder, Adam, of what you’ll be up against this Tuesday, live on Dynamite.” Luchasaurus makes his way out, Nick Wayne by his side. Captain Charisma and his cohorts stand against Copeland, will they end AEW’s Rated R Era before it begins?
My Thoughts:
A great episode to follow-up WrestleDream and build upon it for AEW. Though, rather unfortunate to learn there were some injuries that ended up changing plans here. Sammy really did rock himself after that awkward flying cutter on Jericho, and Mark Davis really did hurt his wrist after that rough splash by Cash Wheeler. But Fletcher was a great choice to sub in for Sammy in that tag match with Konosuke, Jericho and Omega. And then in a big surprise, Hobbs is the newest member of the DCF! A little torn on that move, though. On one hand, this is going to get Hobbs screentime as he deserves. But on the other, I’d hoped he was done with factions after breaking away from QTV.
I’m also a little upset about how AEW keeps having ROH related things happening on their programming and not on ROH programming. Yes, Samoa Joe has a great promo, and him going after the AEW World Championship is fitting, but what happened to his story with Stokely and Dalton Castle with the ROH World Television Championship? And speaking of, Stokely telling us about the Fatal 4 Way on Rampage was redundant after hearing about it via the Rampage match card announcement. And then, while great for Lince Dorado to show up here in AEW and to get right in a contender’s match with Komander, Penta and Johnny Mundo TV, the ROH World Championship having a contender’s match on AEW programming just makes ROH TV into more of an afterthought.
Great opening match with the International Championship, and I assume they’re just playing up Fenix’s back being in bad shape to push this “is the title cursed?” story. But Fenix retaining was the right move since the Bucks already have the ROH World Six Man titles and are set up for another AEW World Tag title match. FTR VS Starks & Morrissey will be great stuff on Collision but I just feel like FTR retains so that it will be FTR VS Bucks Round 4 at Full Gear. Fenix VS Moxley for Title Tuesday is going to be awesome stuff, and hopefully both men get to give it their all, no dazed/concussed Moxley this time.
Wardlow making a surprise return to squash Griff and then just leave was pretty good stuff. Let’s just hope he doesn’t get booked into a corner this time. Great promos from Bryan Danielson, ZSJ, and Hangman Page. Bryan VS Swerve is going to be great stuff, and even though Christian Cage is TNT Champion right now, I feel like either Bryan or Swerve could win the contender’s match. Though, I am leaning towards Bryan so that Hangman and Swerve can have their rematch at Full Gear. And really good, though outta nowhere, Trios Championship match. Acclaimed win, of course, and maybe they’ll get a real feud for Full Gear.
Great promo stuff from MJF and Bullet Club Gold, especially with White’s surprise appearance to take down MJF and to literally take the title. Rather odd place to plug the social media banter between the Maxes, but it does add a bit to MJF’s frustrations being without his brochacho. Adam Cole had another hilarious segment with Roddy & The Kingdom, clearly giving us the idea that Roddy is now being a two-faced friend after accusing Cole of doing the same. Also, it’s been four years, can’t AEW and Turner networks figure out how to not screw up audio? I didn’t type it twice but they had to play that segment twice because of the issue. At the same time, them having the time to do that gave me the idea that AEW really wasn’t sure what they were doing tonight.
Anyway, we got a fun little promo from Cassidy and Hook. They keep talking about Hook being a great champion and about Cassidy deserving to be a great champion again, so how long are we to wait on them having a friendly match for the FTW Championship? And amazing stuff from Toni Storm tonight as she names this new persona, “Timeless Toni.” Timeless Toni has a great match with Skye Blue, who had darker eye shadow as a nod to getting misted by Julia Hart. I feel like the House of Black could add at least one more female member, so maybe it’s Skye Blue? But at the same time, AEW would still need to get their women’s division more match time per show.
And of course, just as Schiavone said, the big buzz worthy news for AEW is Adam Edge Copeland being here! And yeah, I’m gonna be typing “Edge” when I refer to him mostly because it’s less to type. Edge has a great promo with Renee, Omega and Jericho to open, and a great segment to close. I love that Edge referenced being kicked out of Judgment Day, his own faction, when pleading with Christian. I love that on this day, Edge wanted Christian to see clearly, and to reunite with him as the Team That Reeks of Awesomeness. And I even love that Christian arrogantly rejected Edge.
As I said for WrestleDream, we should definitely get a Six Man Tag of Christian, Luchasaurus & Nick Wayne VS Edge, Sting & Darby before we get Edge VS Christian 1v1, and then it really depends on where the TNT Championship goes before we really do get Edge & Christian reunited to get those tag team dream matches in.
My Score: 8.8/10

Wait, are the fans throwing white streamers or is that… No, yeah, it’s toilet paper! Ospreay laughs at the fans basically calling Ricochet crap. Ricochet throws the toilet paper back! The bell rings and we’re on the clock. The fans fire up for Ospreay as he and Ricochet circle. The fans also sing, “F HIM UP, OSPREAY, F HIM UP!” Ricochet shrugs that off, he and Ospreay tie up, and then Ricochet rolls. Ospreay shoots in, waistlocks, but Ricochet switches. They go around, Ricochet gator rolls with Ospreay, then floats to a headlock. Ricochet wrenches, hammerlocks then headlocks again. Ospreay powers up and out, Ricochet runs him over, but Ospreay kips up!

Adam Cole heads to the ring!
The fans cheer as the Panama City Playboy returns to the Hammerstein Ballroom, and yes, they join in for the “BOOM~!” and the “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY~!” Cole grabs a mic, but he keeps his eyes on the ramp. That’s because we all know who’s next. MJF makes his entrance, but with a handful of security guards in front of him first. And not even AEW security, that’s his own personal security. MJF grabs a mic and has them cut his music. The fans boo but MJF tells them, “If I wanted your help, I’d ask for it. Sit down and shut up.” The fans tell MJF to STFU, but MJF shrugs that off.
MJF tells Cole that MJF is frustrated. It’s because for the past few months, MJF has had to listen to Cole say MJF is Cole’s biggest enemy! If memory serves, and MJF’s memory always does because unlike the fans here, he isn’t a complete moron… Didn’t Cole turn on MJF? But then does Cole realize he has bigger enemies out there? Like spray tan, cracks in the floor, gusts of win, and maybe… a cavity. Because last MJF heard, Cole’s dentist isn’t seeing him anymore. Cole was already staring daggers into MJF, but now he’s pissed. MJF has Cole calm down, and he tells the fans to shut up so he can shoot straight.
When MJF was the longest-reigning and greatest AEW World Champion of all time, Cole was nothing more than MJF’s cute little sidekick. That ate Cole up inside. Cole wanted to be MJF. Cole wanted #TripleB. But the sad truth is, Cole had many opportunities to win the title before MJF got anywhere near it. It’s almost like when it comes to Cole being elite enough to become world champion, just like his “s*itty little ankle,” Cole blows it. MJF laughs at his own joke, and then tells the fans he is talking, it is not that complicated. But this is why MJF doesn’t buy the hogwash that Cole turned on MJF because MJF would turn on Cole first.
Cole turned because he, like all these shmucks, is jealous of MJF. And who can blame Cole? MJF is rich, handsome, funny, entertaining, and then look at Cole. For crying out loud, Cole used to be ADAM COLE BAYBAY. Now, he’s just a crack baby! Cole asks if MJF is done. Was that the last line? Because it felt like MJF practiced that for two weeks in front of a mirror. But MJF killed it, really. Cole could come back with childish comments to hurt MJF’s feelings, but he won’t. Cole could mention MJF has had two surgeries on that fake head of hair of his while only in his 20s, which is hilarious, but he won’t.
Cole could talk about how MJF pulled some strings to get his girlfriend hired, like the real politician he is, but Cole won’t go there. Cole could talk about how every single time MJF enters a room, everyone waits for him to leave because he is loud, obnoxious and annoying as hell. But Cole won’t go there. Because Cole is not like MJF. They are nothing alike. That is why the friendship was ruined. Because, MJF, the truth is you say Cole is a failure, but in virtually every wrestling company Cole has worked for, he is the longest-reigning champion in so many!
In this very building, Cole bled BUCKETS against Kyle O’Reilly, wanting to prove he was one of the best in the world, and that is exactly what he did! Does Cole have regrets? Sure. Are there things Cole wishes he could take back? Absolutely. But Cole does NOT regret turning on MJF. The only reason it drives MJF insane is because Cole beat MJF to it. That’s MJF 101: Get close to someone, then turn on them. It’s what MJF does. Cole just did it better than MJF, and MJF knows it.
But Cole has been thinking, trying to understand what’s going on in MJF’s head, and he finally figured it out. MJF is terrified of having anyone close to him, because he feels it is a weakness. That hit a chord? Because not only does MJF act like a child, he thinks like a child! MJF knows in his heart that he was going to be the one to turn on Cole first! DAMN RIGHT HE WAS!!! MJF realizes he let the cat out of the bag. MJF says congrats, Cole, he solved the mystery! A regular Scooby-Doo! Great job, Adam.
But you want the truth? Here it is. The fact of the matter is, last year at Worlds End, MJF had every intention on stabbing Cole in the back that night. Cole just got lucky. When #BetterThanYouBaybay started, MJF didn’t give a damn about Cole. Cole was nothing more than a pawn. But MJF will admit, he did eventually start to care. For the first time in MJF’s life, he cared about someone else. Fans mockingly go, “Aww…” But MJF says that is just when Cole became a liability. And since Cole’s “a fragile little freak,” him jumping off that ramp and exploding his ankle made him a distraction!
Distractions, liabilities, emotions, there are no room for those when all you should be concerned with is maintaining the world championship! But Cole doesn’t get it, does he? Last year was a fluke. Cole ain’t the Devil, he just beat the Devil to it. But this year, Worlds End, December 28th, the same show where Cole tried to end MJF’s world, MJF ENDS Cole!! MJF throws down the mic and the fans are torn. Cole smirks and says MJF ends things then? Well, how about Cole ends this? COLE DECKS MJF! The guards rush in, but Cole fights them off! MJF sends more but Cole SUPERKICSK! And SUPERKICKS! And SUPERKICKS!
But then MJF LOW BLOWS Cole! MJF tells the fans to shut up! MJF takes out the Dynamite Diamond Ring! But then The Kingdom rushes out here! MJF runs away from Matt Taven & Mike Bennett, but he vows this ends at Worlds End. We have one week left, is that the last week Cole has in AEW? Or will MJF finally lose the one thing he has left in that diamond ring?
Backstage interview with Kris Statlander.
Lexy Nair is with the #BornAgainKristen and brings up her trying to make amends with Willow Nightingale last night, as well as making the save when Harley Cameron & Penelope Ford were beating Willow up. Kris says what she and Willow have to discuss is between them. But as far as her and Penelope go, they’ve got a lot of history, and if Ford wants a fight, Kris will give her a fight. Then speaking of history, Kris still has her eyes set on the TBS Championship, can she tells us more on that?
Kris says she looked back on 2024 and she had a downward spiral that started with losing that title. Maybe if she wins it back, Kris will right her wrongs. On that note, Mercedes Mone, you don’t have an opponent for Worlds End so here Kris is. Let her know when you’re ready for round two. Kris heads out, will she prove to everyone that she is still the Galaxy’s Greatest?
Backstage interview with Orange Cassidy.
AEW returns and Lexy is now with Freshly Squeezed. In exactly one week, he will compete against three other men for the AEW World Championship. There are a lot of combustible elements at play, and Cassidy says yeah, we saw that on Dynamite. Jay White, Hangman Page and Cassidy can’t exactly have a conversation. So really, Cassidy wants them to listen. “Between now and Worlds End, Jon Moxley can run and hide. He can hide behind his goons, he can run away in a pickup truck. But when that bell rings in seven days, he has nowhere to go. He will be in the ring with us. Us three. And you both know that we need to remove Jon Moxley from the equation.
“We can. We’ve done it. And after that, us three, we can fight for the AEW World Championship and one of us will become the AEW World Champion. Just something to think about. See you guys on Dynamite.” Cassidy is ready to remove the Maniac from the throne, but will the Switchblade and Cowboy listen to reason?

Kris, after the year I’ve been having, I was planning on taking Worlds End off. I was planning on going to the Ritz in Boston.” The fans boo Boston, but Mone says since it’s the holidays, Mone feels like being nice. She already beat Kris once anyway, so she’ll just beat her twice! At Worlds End, you see that money changes everything, because Mone is the greatest TBS Champion of all time!
The challenge has been accepted, and Mone is looking to be busy before the New Year. Will Kris make her regret it?
Big Boom AJ & Big Justice return to the ring.
They’re getting Christmas Collision ready to bring the BOOM, but out comes Chris Jericho, who is still ROH World Champion after overcoming Matt Cardona last night at Final Battle. And he has Bryan Keith & “Big Bill” Morrissey with him as he asks if AJ has a permit for being here tonight. Did they talk with Mayor DeBlasio? Because they certainly didn’t run this past Jericho. Do they know who he is? Big Justice says yeah, he knows! “You’re a JACKASS!” Jericho is taken aback, but the fans agree with Justice. The Bad Apple says this is why dumbass kids should be sitting and not heard. Jericho says yeah!
And if being a jackass means he’s the King of New York, then Jericho’s the biggest jackass! And besides, Jericho talks for everyone here saying we do not want AJ & Justice here! The fans boo, they disagree with Jericho. But Jericho says they don’t even have Costcos in New York! New Yorkers shop at bodegas. Fans are torn, because they kind of agree. Jericho says his favorite is the Walgreens a few blocks over in Flushing. And speaking of Flushing, that’s where AJ & Justice belong: in the toilet! This is the Hammerstein Ballroom, the House that Jericho built! The fans boo that, it’s the House that Hardcore built.
But Jericho says there’s no time for goofy gimmicks like BOOM~, or bandit masks, or scissoring! Scissor me, Bad Apple~! But then wait! The Acclaimed is here! Well, Anthony Bowens is, at least. Bowens pushes past The Learning Tree and he joins AJ & Justice in the ring. Bowens has the music cut, and he tells Jericho that he doesn’t get why Scissor King is catching strays, but you caught his attention. Jericho is trying to intimidate a man in a walking boot and an 11 year old child while spouting nonsense about being the King of New York. Why doesn’t Jericho do what he has asked so many others in the past: SHUT THE HELL UP!
The fans cheer but Big Bill says, “As the Learning Tree always says, when a man tries to silence another man, he’s probably afraid of the truth.” The fans do cheer Big Bill because he is from New York. Bowens says he has no idea what that means, Bill. But he does know we’re live on TNT, Christmas Collision, Hammerstein Ballroom, New York City! So Chris, why not walk your ass to this ring and get it whipped by the Scissor King?! Jericho says if Bowens wants him to do that, then not tonight. Jericho waves bye, but AJ says hold on, listen up. We know Jericho is running scared, but we know at some point, Bowens will get to bring the-
Bowens stops the Boom? Because he wants to scissor! AJ says okay, and they SCISSOR BOOM~! But is that true? Will Anthony Bowens be the one to tear down the Learning Tree and be a champion?
Backstage interview with The Vendetta.
Lexy is now with Deonna Purrazzo & Taya Valkyrie, and they’ve got a hot streak going. Deonna’s message last week was ominous, but who was it for? Taya says there are so many options. Everyone deserves a slice of The Vendetta. There’s Mercedes, Mariah, Toni Storm, even Lexy could get some, so watch your back. Speaking of Toni, she stumbles in and apologizes for interrupting. She just wants to say hi to everyone, hello. Oh, Deonna, a pleasure. Deonna says she knows who Toni is. R-Really? So cool! Taya says she’ll make a guess: Toni has a tattoo on her leg, a little duck with a knife through it.
Wow, how’d Taya know? Deonna says no no no, she is not doing this again. She does not get what sick crap Toni’s up to, but she is already done with it. So for Dynamite’s Miracle on 34th Street, Toni VS Taya! Taya says she’ll make Toni forget everything! Toni nervously thanks The Vendetta, and says this is a big opportunity to face someone like Taya. While The Relentless One has been after each and every Death Rider, he gets one served up to him on a silver platter. But will Darby bring down the Swiss Superman before the final round? Or will Claudio crush Darby’s hopes and dreams this close to Christmas?
But before Claudio even gets in the ring, Darby DIVES out onto him! The fans fire up as Darby fires fast hands! Claudio gets away but Darby pursues, jumps on, and throws more hands! Claudio carries Darby up the ramp to then THROW him down! Darby writhes, Claudio drags him up, and Claudio gorilla presses! Darby slips free, goes to the entry, and then dodges Claudio to send him into the light truss! And then he shoves Claudio into it again! Claudio falls, and now Darby climbs up!? The fans fire up as Darby is up on the camera balcony! Darby SUPER CROSSBODIES Claudio down!
Claudio tumbles down the ramp and Darby sputters while fans lose their minds. The ref checks Darby, his fall was still really wicked. Claudio sits up in a daze as he’s now ringside, and somehow Darby pursues! They both get in the ring, the bell rings, and Darby runs up! But into a POP-UP UPPERCUT!! Cover, TWO!! Darby survives and Claudio is already frustrated. Claudio drags Darby by his legs, to GIANT SWING~! The fans count as Darby goes around and around, and Claudio goes past TEN, past FIFTEEN, past TWENTY, and all the way to THIRTY!! Darby flounders out of the ring while Collision goes picture in picture.
The ref goes out to check on Darby, and somehow he’s okay to continue. Claudio steps out to fetch Darby, and lift shim up with one hand! Claudio then gut wrenches and carries Darby, to SLAM him onto railing! And DUMP him down! Claudio drags Darby up again, gut wrenches again, and he TOSSES Darby onto the railing! Darby flops back down and clutches his lower back, but Claudio leaves him behind. The ring count begins but Darby sits up. Claudio goes out after him again, and brings him up to CHOP! Darby staggers away to a corner, Claudio storms up and CHOPS again! Darby flops down but Claudio looms over him.
Claudio gets space, runs up, and he UPPERCUTS Darby against railing! Darby stumbles away, Claudio goes to the ring, but Darby rolls in, just to roll back out. Darby earns himself some time, but then Claudio storms out after him. Darby hurries int he ring to get away, but Claudio is after him there, too. Claudio stands on Darby’s hands, then stomps them! Darby writhes, but Claudio stomps his hands more! Darby goes to a corner. Claudio stands him up and CHOPS! Claudio UPPERCUTS, CHOPS, and Christmas Collision returns to single picture. Winner: Claudio Castagnoli, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Darby earns 0)
The Swiss Superman screws over Darby, but then he gets that chair back. But wait, Ospreay slides into the ring! And HE has the brass knuckles that Claudio tossed aside! Ospreay dares Claudio to do something, but Claudio simply leaves. Does this mean Ospreay’s ready to ride against the Death Riders with Darby? Or will we see a Miracle on 34th Street send Ospreay and Darby to Worlds End?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision here as the last one before Worlds End, and therefore a bit of a go-home in itself. While the continued feud of MJF and Cole has still been a bit clunky since they did the double turn, their faceoff did a good job addressing some of that. They got good digs at each other as always, and MJF snapping and revealing “the truth” was their big move to recover this story. We of course got a brawl, and good save by The Kingdom. It feels like MJF still finds a way to hold onto the diamond ring, but c’mon, how fitting is it for Cole to get a diamond.
Good bit with Toni Storm and The Vendetta, and Deonna’s reaction to Toni was great. Deonna is justified in thinking this is still an act from Toni, not a legitimate psychological problem, and Toni VS Taya will be good stuff. Good promo from Kris Statlander, good match from her and Penelope Ford, and of course a good win for Kris. Good promo from Mone to make Worlds End official, but as I’ve been saying, Mone is more likely to lose the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship as part of the big NJPW Tokyo Dome weekend. The irony is, Mina Shirakawa is her challenger and Mina shows up plenty in AEW, so I don’t know how that math is supposed to work.
Good promo from Mariah May as it also turned into a brawl with Thunder Rosa. As it stands, Rosa standing tall holding up the belt means she is NOT winning at Worlds End, but they could still give us a little more from Rosa and Mariah on Dynamite’s Christmas episode to turn the tables. Good promo from Julia Hart to respond to Jamie Hayter, they’ll have a good match. Good promo from Orange Cassidy to try and reason with Jay White and Hangman Page, but that’s all the more reason Moxley likely uses the challengers all against each other like he did on Wednesday. Though, it would be fun if they at least started the match all annihilating Moxley with their finishers, making us think it’ll work out in favor of “Team AEW.”
Good stuff with Big Boom AJ & Big Justice here tonight, both hyping up the show but also interacting with Jericho’s group and even Anthony Bowens. They’re adding some more foreshadowing to The Acclaimed breaking up, and I guess we’re supposed to see this as a positive move, Bowens feuding with Jericho. Unless Bowens is going to be the guy that dethrones Jericho for whatever ROH cable TV debut/return is planned, the Jericho Vortex strikes again. Bowens should be going for an AEW midcard title, but right now, those are all tied up what with the C2 going on and the International Championship being tied up in Worlds End and NJPW plans.
Speaking of the C2, great stuff with all the matches tonight. Shelton VS Garcia was great stuff, and while Garcia gets the win, they’re still giving us some set-up for a TNT Championship match of Garcia VS Shelton. Mark Briscoe of course made the save, but great surprise for Swerve to show up. Lashley VS Swerve for Worlds End just needs to be said, it already feels a given. All that brawling was also a good segue into Mark VS Mortos, and another great showing for Mortos, even in losing. But as Mark has already had all his matches and is at 9 points, Kyle doesn’t even need to win against Garcia, he just needs to draw so that Mark will be out, and Garcia with him.
While Ospreay VS Darby on Wednesday raised the bar, Ospreay VS Ricochet still had great stuff of its own. Plus, Ricochet is bringing out more of his Heel side what with using the ref, and Ricochet’s win puts the pressure on Ospreay for Christmas Dynamite. Now, no offense to Brody King, but I’m thinking Ospreay wins that to take one of the semifinal spots. Darby VS Claudio tonight was also great, but Darby doing his best Sting off the truss was not the best when he gets that whiplash on the floor. I really thought that match was going to be called for concussion protocol, but Darby’s weirdly indestructible.
Claudio still cheats this win so there’s more heat on the Death Riders and Darby is also behind the 8 ball. Ospreay making the save was good, we can definitely have another “Team AEW” VS Death Riders with Ospreay joining Darby and a couple others, but the way they did the order of matches, Claudio’s got a seemingly easy ride against Komander for Christmas. Though, how awesome would it be if Komander pulled off the spoiler? Or if they were really going to add some drama, they should create a situation where the Death Riders end up ringside, violating the Continental Rules of no cornermen and that disqualifies Claudio. Claudio misses out on the semifinals because of a technicality, sending Ospreay and maybe Ricochet to the semifinals.
My Score: 8.8/10

Tony Schiavone is in the ring!
Schiavone welcomes out the Blue League’s current points leader, Kyle Fletcher, and of course… Don Callis. But they’re not alone as the rest of the Don Callis Family makes their way out to the ring. Wait, shouldn’t Brian Cage be in New York for Final Battle…? Well anyway, Schiavone says there’s a lot of gold and- Callis takes the mic, and he says, “I have something important to say.” The fans boo and Schiavone excuses himself as Callis says the Don Callis Family are the TRUE One Percenters of professional wrestling! They prove it each and every day!
Murder Machines: The most feared tag team in the world! “Don Callis’ favorite wrestler,” Kyle Fletcher, shows every day why he is THE One Percent! He beat Will Ospreay! He beat Kazuchika Okada! And now, he’s gonna beat Daniel Garcia and win the Continental Classic! Callis hands the mic over to Kyle and Kyle says it might be true that last Saturday wasn’t the best day for Kyle, but anyone watching that match saw the clear bias from the officials in this company! The fans boo as Kyle claims there is an agenda in AEW to see the Don Callis Family NOT succeed. But it doesn’t matter, it changes nothing!
Kyle WILL be the winner of the 2024 Continental Classic. That brings Kyle to Daniel Garcia. “You wanna talk about restoring the feeling, Daniel? I couldn’t care less about your feelings! All I speak are facts! And the fact is, I am the hottest young prospect in this industry, and I will be the future of this whole place!” The fans boo more but Callis says one last thing he wants to say, is when you’re the One Percent, you’re not like the other 99! They are not like all of these fans! They are not like “the boys in the back,” like Mark Davis & Will Hobbs, “a couple of scab workers!” They’re not even in the same business, Hobbs!
And Callis has waited to get Hobbs on a PPV so that the world could watch why they call Konosuke Takeshita “The Alpha.” And Hobbs, YOU are not in the same business as Konosuke, and you find that out at Worlds End! But speaking of, here comes the Powerhouse! Will he and Dunkzilla finish things with the Don Callis Family? Or will the AEW International and ROH World TV Champions get even for last week?

If it wasn’t clear before, this was a painful punctuation mark, Komander is mathematically ELIMINATED from the semifinals. However, Komander’s final C2 match is Dynamite’s Miracle on 34th Street against Claudio Castagnoli! Can Komander be the biggest spoiler of this entire tournament? Can Brody prove to everyone in the Gold League that the House Always Wins?
My Thoughts:
A great Rampage here for Holiday Bash, though some clear redundancies from last week’s Winter is Coming edition. We got another group Don Callis Promo, and we barely got anything different from Callis and Kyle. The tag match’s only changes were Cage switching in for Archer, even though Cage is in reality defending his ROH World TV Championship in the Hammerstein Ballroom for Final Battle, and then the Callis Family wins this time so Hobbs and Konosuke can be even going towards Worlds End. Now, Konosuke could very well retain the International Championship at Worlds End because NJPW is totally open to Konosuke Takeshita VS Shingo Takagi being Winner Takes All, AEW International and NEVER Openweight titles on the line together.
Lio & Action of course won their match, but the real purpose was to get a confrontation out of them, Private Party and OG Top Flight, Darius & Dante. Good stuff, and it teases anywhere between a Triple Threat to Lio & Action VS Darius & Dante Round 2. Very good promo from Triple J to set up for something, anything really, for 2025. Fight for the Fallen can even be the start of whatever that plan is as part of the “mother of all streams.” And good stuff with the women’s division tonight. Ford & Harley makes a natural duo now given their names, and Willow and Kris could possibly reunite now that Kris is a Face again. That wouldn’t really make up for the weird fumble in the middle where Tony Khan just wanted Kris to get away from Stokely, but hey, this story itself could be really well done.
And great stuff out of Brody VS Komander, really got the drama going before the end. I mean, we all knew Komander was out of the running before tonight, and was most certainly taking the loss here, but Komander got to really show some grit. And now, five people at 6 points going into the final round, they’re really adding great drama to Gold League. Collision tomorrow and then Dynamite Miracle on 34th Street will be some great stuff, but I still think Ospreay should be one of the semifinalists, the second spot can be whoever they want.
My Score: 8.8/10
