Tony Schiavone is in the ring!
He welcomes us to Collision from one of the greatest sports arenas in the world, The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, California. Tonight begins the Full Gear weekend! So to start, Schiavone introduces the AEW TNT Champion, Christian Cage! Fans are torn as Captain Charisma, His Right Hand of Destruction and his “adopted son” all head to the ring. Christian, Luchasaurus & Nick Wayne enter the ring, and Schiavone says he has two things to ask about. Firstly, the Six Man Tag match they are set to have with Adam “Edge” Copeland, Darby Allin & Sting, with Nature Boy Ric Flair ringside.
But at the same time, there’s a huge Fatal 4 tonight: Brian Cage VS Komander VS Trent Beretta VS Penta El Zero Miedo, to name a #1 contender to the TNT Championship, that match happening later tonight on Rampage! Christian tells LA that “in a town full of plastic, phony people, it’s gonna be nice for you to have somebody out here that’s actually gonna speak a little truth.” Fans boo but Christian says it is lucky for them- Hold the mic up properly for him, Schiavone. But lucky for them tomorrow night on Full Gear, they not only get to see Sting’s last match in LA, they get to see Sting’s last match ever, and that’s a guarantee by Christian!
Y’see, Christian is getting sick and tired of seeing Sting and his stupid face paint. Christian is sick and tired of seeing people bow down to Sting, and calling him “an Icon.” Really? Living off your past and stealing a paycheck makes you an icon? Well, tomorrow night, it’ll all be over. What’s really interesting to Christian is what will happen to Darby after he loses that mentor he has. Hey, Darby, if you find yourself ever needing a little bit of fatherly guidance, Christian knows who to call. But is Ric really gonna be ringside tomorrow night? Schiavone confirms that yes he will.
Well, then, Ric, Christian wants to say it’s a good thing that he looks identical to the Crypt Keeper. Because if Ric sticks his nose into Christian’s business, this will be Ric’s literal come to Jesus moment! As for Adam Copeland… Fans fire up for Edge, but Christian says if Edge hasn’t already, then after Full Gear, he will come to regret ever signing that AEW contract. LA rallies up but Christian tells them to keep it down while he’s conducting business! Edge can fool all these people by saying he came to AEW to reform their legendary tag team, but Christian knows Edge better than anyone, and he knows Edge’s track record.
Christian knows that Edge is really here just to steal Christian’s spotlight! “Here’s the thing, Adam. I am not the same person that I used to be back when. I am Christian Cage. I am the patriarch of AEW! And while you were coddled, cuddled, insulated and taken care of because you were the Golden Boy, I was stuck in the trenches, scratching, clawing and fighting for every inch! And tomorrow night, we’re gonna see who’s career path served who better. Because I guarantee you this… And Beth, keep the girls up late. Keep Lyric & Ruby up late and bring them up really close to that television set, because I guarantee you this: I am going to break your neck!!”
Fans boo and Schiavone says the contender’s match is coming up, the winner getting their title shot. Christian says as the AEW TNT Champion, it is pretty obvious that the powers that be want Christian on screen every second he possibly can. It doesn’t matter who it is he faces tonight, he could beat all four at once anyway! Fans tell him “PROVE IT! PROVE IT!” Oh, he’ll prove it! And just like his close, personal friend, James Harden, Christian will keep running things. Like Harden said, “I don’t work within the system. I am the system!” Then will someone break the system this close to Full Gear?
Backstage interview with Ricky Starks & “Big Bill” Morrissey.
Lexi Nair is with the AEW World Tag Team Champions, and apparently they have an announcement ahead of their Fatal 4 Way tag title defense tomorrow night. Bill says first of all, they are the BTTEIHNQ: Best Tag Team Ever In History, No Question! And the fact is, Ricky & Bill do not have to be pinned or submitted tomorrow to lose the tag titles. So therefore, Ricky spoke with Tony Khan, and Ricky says Tony is a fair man. Tony allowed Starks to choose a stipulation that would be in their favor. And with Big Bill being the tallest man in AEW, Starks says this is now a Fatal 4 Way LADDER MATCH!
That’s right, a very short climb for Bill. And as “Bald FTR” says, “Uhh, we’re, we’re kind of, uhh, the greatest tag team there is, uhh, greatest tag team there ever was.” So tomorrow night at Full Gear, we won’t need acronyms to prove why Starks & Morrissey are THE greatest tag team in AEW history, there it is! When Ricky & Bill walk out of LA, they are walking out as champions, in style, and most importantly, as the greatest team you’ve ever seen! The Absolute has upped the stakes, will they truly stand above the competition at Full Gear?
Miro VS Daniel Garcia!
The Redeemer continues to disapprove of CJ Perry going back to her old ways, especially now that she is praising The Latino Idol, Andrade. But will Miro show Andrade a vision of what is coming for him? Or will the Red Death prove what he can do now that he’s a pro-wrestler and NOT a sports… enner-tay-ner?
The bell rings and the fans rally up. Miro and Garcia circle, the fans want Garcia to “DO THE DANCE!” Garcia rushes in, Miro sidesteps the low dropkick, and Garcia says it was close. They reset, circle, and Garcia goes for a leg. Miro THROWS Garcia right off! Fans fire up while Garcia goes to ropes. Miro storms up, Garcia fires forearms first. Miro TOSSES Garcia to a corner, fires off haymakers, then stomps away! The ref counts, Miro stomps a mudhole but lets off. The fans fire up again, and Miro pushes Garcia around. Then Miro suplexes Garcia high and hard! Fans rally, Garcia kicks from below, but Miro eggs him on.
Garcia kicks, Miro grabs a leg, and Miro stomps Garcia down. Miro drags Garcia up to short arm LARIAT! Miro gets the fans fired up, and he drags Garcia up to GUT WRENCH PLEX! Garcia writhes from the hard landing, then Miro puts up his hands. Fans fire up, but Garcia CLUBS Miro and fires off CHOPS! Garcia won’t let Miro dance as he CHOPS and CHOPS and whips. Miro reverses, runs in but into a BOOT! Miro runs in again but Garcia BOOTS again! Garcia JABS, JABS and JABS! Garcia whips, Miro reverses but Garcia KICKS back! Garcia runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, but leaps into Miro’s arms! SWINGING SIDE SLAM!
Fans cheer while Miro smiles menacingly, and fans want him to “DO THE DANCE!” Miro looks around while Collision goes to break.
Miro puts up his hands like Garcia, but says up theirs! He don’t dance! Fans boo and give thumbs down but Miro drags Garcia up. Miro TOSSES Garcia out, then gets on a corner to say he does what he wants, not what they want. Miro then goes out to fetch Garcia, but Garcia throws hands. Garcia fires off forearms, Miro RAMS him into railing, and then KNEES him down! The fans cheer that, and Miro drags Garcia up to whip back into railing! Miro runs in again but Garcia dodges, Miro hits railing! Fans fire up more as Garcia crawls away. Garcia reaches out, fans help him up, but Miro is on Garcia with a SLEEPER!
Garcia slips out and he whips Miro back into railing! Fans fire up as Garcia runs in to BOOT Miro! Garcia high fives fans but then Miro clinches! Garcia throws hands but Miro THROWS Garcia! Miro glares into the camera, then looks at commentary. Miro spares the desk, this time. Miro storms back after Garcia, puts him in the ring, and he revels in the fans chanting. Collision returns to single picture and Miro stalks Garcia. Miro clamps on with a chinlock and he grinds Garcia down. Fans rally up as Garcia endures, and Garcia fights up to throw body shots. Garcia is free but Miro knees low! Miro then scoops, but Garcia slips out to CHOP BLOCK!
Fans fire up while Miro hobbles. Garcia reels Miro in but Miro shoves Garcia away. Garcia dropkicks the leg out! Fans rally up, Garcia storms up to fire off hands! Miro backs up into a corner and Garcia fires off! Garcia stomps a mudhole, the fans rally up, and Garcia runs corner to corner, to DOUBLE KNEE! Then he whips, but Miro reverses, only for Garcia come back with a SHOTGUN! Miro stays up but he staggers around. Fans want him to “DO THE DANCE!” but Garcia SHOTGUNS Miro again! Miro wobbles, Garcia runs again, another SHOTGUN! Miro is still up!? Garcia roars, runs, but into the BEST KICK!
Miro snarls and stalks Garcia. Miro says “GAME! OVER!” But Garcia blocks the stomp! Garcia fights up to his feet, SLAPS away on Miro, but Miro ROCKS Garcia back! Garcia ducks, Miro goes for arms, ROCKS Garcia again, but then Garcia ducks the roundhouse! Garcia choke grips, Miro breaks free but Garcia SLAPS back! And SAIDO! Fans fire up and Garcia grits his teeth! Garcia rises, to DO! HIS! Matthew Menard shows up!? Why is Daddy Magic running out here now? Just because Garcia wants to dance?! Fans boo but Garcia dodges Miro! Miro BLASTS Menard, Garcia rolls Miro! TWO!! But Garcia has a JUST FACELOCK!!
Fans fire up as Miro endures! Miro’s admitted his neck is his one physical weakness, but he pries at the hold! Miro throws Garcia off, but Garcia body scissor captures and rolls Miro, into the DRAGON TAMER!! Miro endures as Garcia sits on the hold deep! Even DEEPER! But Miro reaches back to DRIBBLE Garcia’s head off the mat!! Miro snarls, tells Garcia it’s over, BEST KICK into the GAME OVER!! Garcia is OUT, Miro wins!!

Backstage interview with CJ Perry & Andrade El Idolo.
Lexi is with the Coldest Manager in the Game and her brand new client, noting Andrade’s big win last week. Is he happy with his new representation? Yes, he is happy, because look! CJ Perry is magnificent. CJ says Andrade is the best wrestler. Third generation wrestling royalty who got started when he was just 12 years old. Andrade was born to do this. That is why CJ has gotten him a spot in the inaugural AEW Continental Classic, “where the greatest wrestlers in the world are entering, it is so prestigious.” Andrade is surprised, but CJ says she negotiated with Tony Khan. Entering also gets him a bonus on his paycheck.
Andrade is surprised. CJ spoke with Tony? Yes, and if he wins the whole tournament, he gets another bonus on top of that. Okay, but why didn’t she tell him this beforehand? CJ whispers to Andrade about something, and that changes his mind. Lexi asks if this is official. Is Andrade officially in the round robin? Andrade wants to double check with CJ on what she just said. And she says yes, it’s true. Andrade says he trusts CJ, so they shake on it. El Idolo is now in the Continental Classic! Will Andrade win that money, as well as that inaugural Continental Championship trophy?
Malakai Black & Brody King VS The Boys!
The Kings of the Black Throne will represent The House of Black in Full Gear’s Fatal 4 Way, so consider this a warm-up. Will they be rolling into what is now a massive ladder match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships?
The teams sort out and Brent starts against Malakai. The two circle, fans rally up, and they even hoot and bark for Brody. Malakai and Brent tie up, Malakai wrenches and wristlocks, but Brent rolls, kips up and wristlocks. Malakai wrenches, Brent uses ropes to flip through and he wristlocks again. Malakai BACK ELBOWS Brent down! Fans fire up and Malakai drags Brent to the corner. Tag to Brody, but Brent gets away to tag in Brandon. Brody runs in, Brandon dodges and CHOPS! But Brody doesn’t flinch! Brandon fires haymakers and kicks, but Brody just barks at him. Brandon runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, wheelbarrows, but Brody SLAMS him down!
Fans hoot with Brody, he aims that big arm, but Brent trips- Well, not really trips Brody, just anchors him a bit. Brandon runs in but Brody TOSSES him out onto Brent! Brody then tags Malakai, puts Brandon in, but Brandon ENZIGURIS! Malakai KNEES Brandon back! And then, DANTE’S INFERNO!! Cover, the Kings of the Black Throne win!

But tomorrow night, don’t get in her way.
Kris says both Skye and Julia have had to transform how they portray themselves, they’ve had to dig a little deeper, get a little darker, just to try and come after her, and they still can’t hold a candle to her. Kris has always been #MoreThanAWoman, has always been this strong, and only gets stronger every single day. And it’ll take more than just that to beat Stat! It is a massive match between the Mogul Embassy’s Machine, the AAA Cruiserweight Champion, the Man with No Fear, and #JustTrent. But who will win this Collision to then go on a Rampage against Christian Cage?
The bell rings and the fans fire up and duel. “CERO! MIEDO!” “LET’S GO, TRENT!” are the loudest, and so Penta gets in Trent’s face to say, “CERO! MIEDO!” and pie face him. Then Penta goes to familiar foe, Cage, “CERO! MIEDO!” and the pie face! Penta takes off the glove, but Cage BOOTS him down! And DECKS Trent! And pops Komander up for a FLAPJACK! “Who betta than Cage?!” Cage whips, Penta KICKS back, then Trent ROLLING ELBOWS! Komander springboards to FLYING RANA! Cage tumbles to the apron, Komander y Penta DOUBLE SUPERKICK him down! Then Komander builds speed, Penta gives him the boost into the TORNILLO!
Fans fire up as Komander takes Cage down! Trent then sees Penta build speed, and ELBOWS him down! Fans boo but Trent just looms over Penta. Trent stands Penta up but Penta CHOPS! Trent CHOPS, Penta CHOPS, repeat! They CHOP and CHOP and CHOP, then Penta fires forearms. “CERO! MIEDO!” Penta runs, into a JUMP KNEE! And then a HALF ‘N’ HALF! Penta tumbles out, Komander GAMANGIRIS Trent and springboards to MISSILE DROPKICK! Everyone else is outside, Komander goes up top and fans fire up! Komander tightrope walks but Cage trips him up! Cage then climbs, and he drags Komander up!
DEADLIFT SUPERPLEX onto everyone on the outside!! The fans lose their minds while all four men are down! The Machine stands up and fans fire up, this is even after Cage went through the Like a Dragon Street Fight! Cage whips Trent hard into railing, then he whips Penta hard into railing! Cage RAMS Komander into the apron, then hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Cage brings Komander up and DECKS him as Collision goes picture in picture.
Cage stalks Komander to ropes, brings him up and whips, to then ELBOW him back down! Cage flexes and smirks, then stalks Komander to ropes. Cage drags Komander up to CLUB him down, then he CHOKES Komander on ropes. Cage dials it up, 619! Cage steps back in, Penta rushes up but Cage BLASTS him off the apron. Cage scoops Komander, trophy lifts, and TOSSES him out onto Penta! The luchadores go down, but Trent SHOTGUNS Cage to a corner! Trent huffs ‘n’ puffs and runs in, but Cage dodges the elbow to clothesline, UPPERCUT and DISCUS! Then he wrenches to SAIDO Trent away! Cover, TWO!!
Cage clamps onto Trent with a chinlock and grinds him down. Trent endures and fans rally up as Collision goes to break.
Collision returns, Trent whips Cage corner to corner but Cage reverses. Trent tumbles up the corner, tumbles back, and then into the pump handle and PILEDRIVER! Cage taunts, “Who betta than Cage?!” Cage drags Trent up but Penta runs in to KICK a leg! And again! And again! Komander returns, he runs in and gets a boost, MISSILE DROPKICK on Cage! Then Penta GAMANGIRIS! Then Penta sits Cage up, Komander runs in, Penta sidesteps, but then Penta runs in, only for Komander to OVERHEAD SUPLEX him onto Cage! Inadvertent teamwork, and Komander DROPKICKS Trent! But Trent scoops, only for Komander to victory roll, TWO!!
Komander wheelbarrows, Trent stops that to GERMAN SUPLEX! And then another HIGH ANGLE GERMAN! Komander switches, Penta SUPERKICKS him! Trent gets Penta for a HIGH ANGLE GERMAN! And another! Nana coaches Cage up, he runs in but Trent gets under! Cage blocks the German Suplex, elbows free, then fireman’s carries! F- NO, Trent pops up to POISON-RANA! But Cage is up to DISCUS LARIAT!! All four men are down around ringside and the fans are thunderous! Cage rises, Komander runs in to tilt-o-whirl, but Cage blocks and makes it a dragon sleeper! INVERTED GOURD BUSTER! Cover, Penta KICKS it apart!
Penta SUPERKICKS Trent! Penta whips Trent, Trent reverses but Penta goes up and over, BACKSTABBER! Penta runs up to victory roll Cage, uses that to roll and FLYING DESTROYER on Komander! SLINGBLADE for Cage! Half nelson and pump handle, MADE IN JAPAN for Trent! Cover, TWO!! Trent took one of those from Shingo Takagi, he is able to survive them now! But Penta reels Trent in as fans fire up for “A E DUB!” Cage runs in, Penta SUPERKICKS him! Komander kicks, Penta dodges, and he mule kicks! Penta runs and uses Komander as a step to FLY onto Cage!! Fans fire up as down goes The Machine!
But Komander FLIES to take out Penta! Komander hurries back to the ring, up a corner, and he aims at Trent! CIELITO- NO, Trent dodges! But Komander slips through the lariat, only for Trent to Alabama Lift and STRONG ZERO!! Cover, TRENT WINS!
Winner: Trent Beretta, by pinfall (NEW #1 Contender to the AEW TNT Championship)
And now we have our match for Rampage! Trent has been building momentum, will he bring one more singles title to the Best Friends conglomerate? Or will Captain Charisma be able to handle #JustTrent?
Backstage with Don Callis & “Powerhouse” Hobbs
Lexi is with the Don Callis Family’s leader and strongest member, respectively, and brings up what Hobbs did to Paul Wight in that Street Fight. The word that comes to mind for Lexi is “brutal,” but Callis says the word that comes to his mind is “out.” As in, Wight is out of action, on the shelf, done! Use whatever phrase you want, Hobbs slammed a 450 pound living legend on the hood and windshield of a car and broke him! Never been done before! That’s what the DCF brings. Then what does this mean for Hobbs next? Oh, go ahead and tell her, Hobbs.
Hobbs repeats, “What does that mean? It means anyone can get it. But what’d I do? I took out a giant, THE Giant, a living legend, a multiple-time world champion. I’m 6’3″, 270 pounds, I’m big, I’m Black, I’m jacked. Paul, I know you’re resting away, convalescing in a hospital, but stay away. Cuz anyone can get it.”
Wardlow VS Evan Daniels!
The War Dog warned MJF that his time was running out and that revenge would be coming for him. Will “The Main Evant” be just an appetizer for Wardlow’s appetite for destruction?
OH NO, the moment Wardlow’s in the ring, he CLOBBERS Daniels to a corner! The bell rings, Wardlow reels Daniels in, POWERBOMB! Fans fire up and Wardlow goes up a corner! Wardlow aims to SWANTON BOMB! Fans fire up even more, and Wardlow drags Daniels back up. Wardlow reels Daniels in, to LAST RIDE POWERBOMB!! The symphony has only just begun, but the ref says Daniels is DONE! Wardlow wins!
Winner: Wardlow, by referee stoppage
Wardlow lets it stop there, he doesn’t get paid by the hour. But will MJF’s final hour as AEW World Champion be at the hands of Jay White or Wardlow?

The bell rings and fans rally as the two circle. They approach, stare down, and Dax offers a handshake. Rush kicks it away! Dax shoves Rush and Rush shoves back. They tie up, break, then Rush CHOPS! Fans “WOO~” but Dax shakes that off. They circle, tie up and now Dax CHOPS! Rush brushes that off and fans rally up. Rush and Dax circle, tie up again, and go around. Rush puts Dax on ropes, swings but Dax ducks! Dax headlocks, Rush powers out, Dax ducks ‘n’ dodges then slides, but Rush still runs him over! Rush stomps away, fans fire up, and Rush runs. Dax avoids the senton and Rush crashes down!
Dax CHOPS Rush, whips, but Rush reverses. Dax ducks ‘n’ dodges then CLOBBERS Rush! Rush bails out, Dax storms out after him and CHOPS! Dax brings Rush to the ramp, CHOPS and reels him in, but Rush back drops free! Dax writhes, Rush goes to the ring, and Rush says tranquilo. Rush goes back out, CHOPS Dax again, then RAMS him into railing! And then more railing! And then more railing! And then the fourth side! Fans fire up as Dax falls, and Rush stands up on the railing! Rush soaks up the cheering, then he again refreshes the count. Rush goes back for Dax, SMACKS him off railings, and then puts him in the ring.
Rush stalks Dax, CHOPS him in a corner, and then CHOPS again! Dax turns things around to CHOP! And CHOP! Rush turns it around to CHOP Dax again! Dax CHOPS! Rush CHOPS! Repeat! Dax fires off CHOP after CHOP then rains down fists! Starks loves it, the ref backs Dax off, and then Dax runs in, Rush BOOTS, then POSTS Dax! Dax staggers, Rush CHOPS again! And again! And again! Dax’s chest is bleeding from all that damage! Rush stomps and throws forearms, then runs to fake Dax out! BOOT! Dax falls out of the ring and Rush poses, tranquilo! Fans fire up while Collision goes picture in picture.
Rush storms out after Dax, brings him around for body shots, and then UPPERCUTS! Rush CHOPS, Dax CHOPS, repeat! Rush whips Dax into steel steps! Dax hobbles away but Rush pursues. Dax slips into the ring so Rush soaks up the cheers and jeers. Rush steps back in, trips Dax and steps through to have a NAVARRO DEATH ROLL! Dax now endures the Inverted Figure Four! Dax crawls, crawls and has the ROPEBREAK! Rush lets go quickly, then paces around as Dax clutches a leg. Rush drags Dax up, TOSSES him out, then distracts the ref so Jose can get a cheap shot in! The ref has Rush leave him alone, so Rush goes out after Dax.
Dax kicks Rush, and SMACKS him off railing now! And CHOPS him into the chair! Dax CHOPS and ROCKS Rush on repeat! The front row is all fired up! Dax goes back to the ring, catches his breath, but Rush hobbles his way back over. Rush slides in, and he suddenly wants to shake hands. Dax doesn’t fall for it, he dodges the sucker punch and ROCKS Rush! Dax then knees so he can ROCK and CHOP Rush eye to eye! Rush gets up to ROCK Dax in return! Rush suplexes high and hard, then rolls through! Uno Amigo! Another suplex, Dos Amigos! Rush brings Dax up as Collision returns to single picture, THREE AMIGOS! Cover, TWO!!

The House of Black returns and they get involved! Malakai fires off on Dax and Vance, Brody sees Bill! Fans fire up as the biggest men storm around the way, and then step up to each other. They go looking under the ring, and they grab the same ladder! They tug-o-war over it and the fans fire up! Dralistico DROPKICKS it into them both! Then Cash DIVES onto Brody! Dralistico FLIES onto Bill! Fans fire up as the chaos is all over ringside!
Dax fires off on Malakai, Starks brawls with Vance, security and referees rush out to stop this! Fans want not “LET THEM FIGHT!” but we only have to wait another 24 hours! If this is how it is now, how much wilder will it get with ladders involved?!
Backstage interview with Action Andretti.
Lexi is with The Sight to See, and says last week, The Kingdom took out Darius Martin after his match with Roderick Strong. Is there any medical update he can give us? Action says yes, but then he gets interrupted by The Kingdom & Roddy. Mike Bennett says he has the medical update: Darius has a bruised ego and a weak neck! Matt Taven tells Action to stop embarrassing himself, “especially with that Gen Z bowl cut.” Action tells Taven that a word of advice: Shut your damn mouths! But then Roddy shouts, “ACTIIION~! Zip it, dude.” Roddy says he’s found his next victim. It’s ACTIIION~! The Kingdom rolls away, but Action says victim his ass. But will it be his neck that’s the real target?
Wheeler Yuta VS Buddy Matthews!
While he’s been busy with Hook, The Decoder has been meaning to get even with the House of Black’s Juggernaut. But will Buddy be just as enigmatic as the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil? Or will Yuta have the solution to this mystery?
The bell rings and fans rally for Buddy. Yuta is amused by that, and the two circle. They feel things out, Buddy shoots around to a waistlock, but Yuta switches. Buddy switches, Yuta switches, and Buddy switches again. Buddy spins Yuta, Yuta steps over then slides under to waistlock again. Buddy pries free to wrench and wristlock, then YANKS the arm. And YANKS it again! Buddy wrenches but Yuta chinbars, only for Buddy to wristlock again. Yuta rolls, handsprings and wrenches back to grind the arm. Buddy fights up, pulls hair, but the ref reprimands. Yuta wrenches to wristlock, but Buddy grinds forearms in Yuta’s face.
Buddy wrenches, headlocks and hits the takeover. Yuta keeps his shoulders up, headscissors, but Buddy kips free. Yuta trips Buddy, covers, ONE! Yuta avoids the sweep and he smirks at Buddy. Yuta offers a leg, but then brings it away. Yuta taunts Buddy again, but Buddy still misses. Yuta keeps taunting Buddy, then he steps over and rolls Buddy up, ONE! Buddy swings, Yuta bobs ‘n’ weaves and DROPKICKS Buddy out! Fans rally and duel, “Let’s Go, Yuta!” “YUTA SUCKS!” But Buddy gets on the apron, and Yuta DROPKICKS him off the apron! Yuta goes out, Buddy ROCKS Yuta and then THROWS him into railing!
Fans fire up, Buddy storms up but Yuta RAMS into Buddy! Buddy knees low in return, then sits Yuta in the corner. Buddy hoots a la Brody, and he BOOTS Yuta down! Buddy hauls Yuta up and into the ring, brings him up, but Yuta RAMS him into the corner! Yuta ROCKS Buddy, but Buddy knees low. Buddy whips Yuta to a corner, runs in but Yuta slips out to the apron. Yuta ROCKS Buddy, bumps him off buckles, then slingshots in, but into a facelock! But Yuta dumps Buddy out to the apron! They brawl on the edge, fans rally up, but Buddy TOSSES Yuta to the desk!! Down goes Yuta, and those WOO Energy drinks! Fans lose their minds while Collision goes picture in picture!
Buddy waits on Yuta to get up, and then he stomps him on the apron! Buddy steps inside to refresh the count, then lets Yuta slide in. Buddy grins as he drags Yuta up. Buddy CHOPS Yuta to a corner, storms up but Yuta CHOPS! And CHOPS! Buddy CHOPS back! And CHOPS again! Yuta grits his teeth and shakes his head, so Buddy CHOPS him again! Buddy hoists Yuta up top, ROCKS him, but Yuta BOOTS back! And again! Yuta leaps, but Buddy catches him! Buddy pops Yuta up to a fireman’s carry, then a GUTBUSTER DROP! Cover, TWO! Yuta hangs in there but Buddy KICKS him in the back!

The Swiss Superman gets the Aussie Juggernaut to back down! Claudio gets a mic to tell “Buddy Boy,” if he wants the attention of the Blackpool Combat Club, he doesn’t need to cut a spooky promo backstage. All he has to do is ask. Buddy’s been pissing Claudio off for a few weeks, and Claudio likes to make challenges face to face in the light. And Claudio would absolutely hate to have come to LA without kicking some ass. So what does Buddy say? Buddy VS Claudio, unless he has to ask Daddy Malakai first.
But what does Buddy say? If he’s man enough, the two of them, Full Gear! Buddy nods, and now it’s really on Tony Khan to make it official! Will the Zero Hour be that much bigger with these two throwing down?
AEW takes a closer look at the International Championship match.
Jon Moxley says he is sick of showing respect without being shown respect in return. He is sick of being nice. Orange Cassidy says there was only thing on his mind when he realized what he lost. There was only one thing he thought that he needed. Moxley says Cassidy has spirit, but you can’t hurt Moxley with spirt. And the fact remains, “he hits like a b*tch.” Cassidy thought he’d feel like a champion again the moment he won this championship back. But the moment it was in his hands, Cassidy didn’t feel the same, and that’s because of Moxley. Moxley says the last time he lost was because his body failed him, and it won’t happen again.
Cassidy says when he hit that Orange Punch, and Moxley simply turned back to look at him… Moxley says it will be one of them in the end, but it’s going to be Moxley. Cassidy knows he has to win this to feel like a champion again. He HAS to beat Jon Moxley. Who digs deep enough to truly be THE International Champion?

At Full Gear, The AEW Women’s World Champion has “Timeless” Toni Storm while the AEW TBS Champion has a Triple Threat on her hands. But will they be able to focus on The Knight & The Runaway? Or will this Collision end up a trap game for both champions?
The teams sort out and Shida starts against Ruby. They circle, tie up, and Shida wrenches. Ruby waistlocks, Saraya tries to get a chant going, but Shida switches and wrenches. Ruby stomps a foot, wrenches again and headlocks. Shida throws body shots, powers up, but Ruby throws her for a takeover! Shida headscissors, Ruby kips free, but Shida dropkicks her down! Fans fire up and Shida storms up on the corner. Shida ROCKS Ruby, climbs up, but Ruby slips out to trip Shida! Ruby swings, Shida blocks and then ROCKS Ruby first! The champs drag Ruby up, they double whip while Saraya protests, but Kris sweeps the leg and Shida SLIDING FOREARMS! Kris handstand LEG DROPS! Cover, TWO! Kris fireman’s carries, Ruby sunset flips free, and cover, TWO! Both women stand up but Ruby slips under, tag to Saraya! Saraya runs up, but into an arm-drag! Kris whips, Saraya ROCKS Kris! Saraya whips, Kris rolls over, and things speed up. Kris hurdles, then runs Saraya over! Cover, TWO! Kris waistlocks, she drags Saraya up, and we see Julia watching backstage in the dark. Saraya looms over Kris while fans rally up, and Saraya howls! Saraya CLUBS Kris, tags Ruby, and the Outcasts double suplex. Kris fights that, to double suplex the Outcasts! The fans fire up, tag to Shida! Shida climbs the ropes to CROSSBODY The Outcasts down! Shida whips Saraya to a corner, runs in, and JUMP KNEES! Skye is also watching as Ruby runs in, only for Shida to ROCK her! Shida then snap suplexes Ruby into Saraya! Fans rally, Shida drags the Outcasts up and climbs up. Fans fire up with Shida as she rains down fists on them both! Shida goes to TEN, fires up more, and she kicks Ruby away. But Saraya anchors Shida’s legs!

Tag to Saraya, she stomps Shida, then she taunts Kris. Saraya drags Shida up, brings her around, but Shida suplexes! Tony Schiavone interviews MJF.
The two sit down backstage, and Schiavone says this is obviously a big weekend with Full Gear tomorrow. He thanks the AEW World Champion for sitting down with him. MJF says, “Thanks for having me, ya fat old pr*ck. Renee busy today?” Well, yeah. Oh, c’mon, Schiavone, he’s messing around, just having fun. Schiavone says in the Kia Forum, AEW Full Gear, MJF defends two titles in one night: the AEW World Championship, and the ROH World Tag Team Championships, but without his partner, Adam Cole. Why? MJF says the answer is that he made a promise he intends to keep.
As much as he knows that Austin & Colten Gunn are incredibly ugly, like very ugly, they’re also very talented. MJF is aware of the tough task he has ahead of him for Full Gear’s Zero Hour. Also it is of note that the screen behind MJF plays highlights of his tag team run with Adam Cole, including their big win at All In London. It even continues to show AEW Grand Slam, the night Cole hurt his foot. MJF says he will do whatever it takes to win, and he means that literally. He told his best friend, Adam Cole, that these ROH World Tag Team Championships would still be here waiting for him when he’s back from injury.
And MJF wants to be real, that injury was his fault. So he will not let Cole down, no matter what. Then let’s talk MJF’s frustrations over Jay White stealing the literal championship belt, #TripleB. MJF says as we all know, the AEW World title means everything to MJF. The Triple B symbolizes all the hard work and dedication to this sport. When Jay White stole it, MJF was furious. But MJF realized why White did it. They’re a lot alike. Unfortunately, White reminds MJF of the parts of him that MJF “absolutely despises.” White is insecure, and stole the belt not to prove to the world that he’s championship material. White stole it trying to prove that to himself.
So MJF has bad news for White. The championship doesn’t make the man, the man makes the championship, which is precisely why on November 18th, in the Forum, Jay White will lose. Because nobody is on the level of the devil. Schiavone says MJF is the longest reigning AEW World Champion. Facts. And a win over Jay White will also make MJF the winningest champion. Plus, Full Gear represents one year to the day that MJF won the title. What does that mean to MJF? And what is the likelihood of MJF still making it through Full Gear as champion? Well, MJF feels a lot of pride in that accomplishment. But likelihood?
Well, okay. Let’s talk that. What was the likelihood of his mother conceiving him when she was using a brand new diaphragm? Umm… What’s the likelihood of a man with, to be honest, several mental disorders, becoming a success story? What’s the likelihood of a Jewish American becoming a pro-athlete? Of anyone becoming a pro-wrestler? Of MJF beating all these great men that the video reel is now showing. What is the likelihood of becoming a top guy? Of being the longest reigning world champion in a company? We would all agree all those odds are slim to none?
So when you ask MJF what the likelihood of him beating the Gunns AND White in one night, when all those men are so supremely talented, of him making it to 365 DAYS as a champion… Of him getting one step closer to his ultimate goal of becoming the greatest AEW World Champion of all time? MJF would say slim to none. But unfortunately for Bullet Club Gold and all his other detractors, MJF likes those odds. MJF smirks, more than ready to once again run the gauntlet. Will Maxwell Jacob Friedman find a way to survive Full Gear?
My Thoughts:
A great go-home Collision here, even for being pushed to Friday for the first time because they can’t have this and a PPV on the same Saturday. I’d say they should really think about that before next time, but Worlds End is already scheduled for Saturday, December 30th. Anyway, great opening promo from Christian Cage in place of those prepackaged promos. Christian of course threatens the livelihoods of Sting and Edge, that’s the kind of Heel he is, but interesting that they’d schedule a TNT Championship just outta nowhere. Awesome Fatal 4, and awesome win for Trent, that title match is… Well it’s opening Rampage, so guess they’re giving it time to breathe. Feels like Christian still wins that so he has momentum going into Full Gear.
Good squash win for Wardlow, so he’s obviously in town ready to strike MJF down when it’s most opportune for him. Good squash win for Kings of the Black Throne so they have momentum going into the now Ladder match for the tag titles. That is going to be awesome stuff, especially after the great match we got from Dax VS Rush and the great brawl to follow. Being a ladder match, just about anything can happen, so there’s a very good chance Starks & Bill retain. And great match from Yuta VS Buddy, even though it was kinda random. Buddy gets a great win, Claudio makes the save, and now we get a great singles match for the Zero Hour.
Miro VS Garcia was also a great match, but of course Daddy Magic had to get involved. Either way, Miro was winning, but that was a good detail for the story developing between Menard and Garcia. Good promo from Andrade and CJ to announce Andrade is in the Continental Classic, and that extra little news she secretly told Andrade has to mean that Andrade could win a world title match if he wins the whole thing. Honestly, that should just be the prize for winning the round robin, same as NJPW’s G1 Climax. Miro should also get in on that tournament so that he and Andrade can have at least one match against each other to help feed their story.
Good promo from Hobbs & Callis, and I would think this foreshadows Paul Wight returning like he returned from the dead or something so he and Hobbs can have a 1v1 match at some point. But until that moment, Hobbs should also get in on the Continental Classic. If anyone can get it, then everyone in that round robin should have to get through Hobbs to get to the finals. Very good promos from Moxley and Cassidy, their match still feels like it could go either way. And good promo from Roddy & The Kingdom to now target Action, that match is also added to Rampage so that stuff actually happens on Rampage.
Good promo from Julia, Skye & Kris ahead of their Triple Threat, and awesome main event tag. Ruby and Parker have another shipping moment that costs The Outcasts, and this of course gives momentum to the champions. Shida and Storm are probably still going to be even going into Full Gear with Storm literally calling her match for Rampage a tune-up. Kris stands tall, and as I’ve been saying, there’s a very good chance we get a new TBS Champion because of the Triple Threat. And then great promo from MJF to close the night, including the video highlight reel playing behind him. Now, something still has to happen with Samoa Joe and The Devil of AEW, but that probably all plays out in the Zero Hour.

His familia used to grow tobacco, and they were hard workers. And they had employees who were hard workers, from right here in Mexico City. Those men were also like family! He is thankful that the people of Mexico have invited AEW into their home tonight! The fans cheer, and Hangman thanks them for the collaboration of AEW & CMLL. Hangman continues by saying that he also wants to make it known about AEW World Champion, Jon Moxley, that while Hangman is not wrestling tonight, and that he is not allowed ringside later tonight for the main event… He will find Moxley after! And Excalibur apologizes, the last part definitely can’t be translated for the sake of the broadcast. The fans still cheer Hangman on, they wanna see that #CowboyS*it. Hangman adds that once again, he is thankful for letting them be here in Arena Mexico. Now, let the action begin! Well, they always say, “Card subject to change.” Cash Wheeler is not able to make it, but Lance Archer and “The Predator,” Volador Jr, take his place! Then on the other side, the OG Atlantis jumps in! Will things only end up crazier to start off Grand Slam?
As Dax Harwood & Stokely Hathaway make their way out, #BigStoke has a mic and he has them cut the music. Stokely has some good news and some bad news. Bad news: Due to circumstances beyond his control, Cash Wheeler cannot be here tonight. That’s the bad news. The good news is, one half of FTR is here tonight in the great Dax the Ax! And hey, Stokely has been working on his Espanol all day. “Grassy ass, thank you!” Still messed it up… But with that, the rest of Team Rudo make their way out, starting with Volador, followed by the Don Callis y Hechicero.
On the other side, ROH World Champion Bandido leads the way for his team, followed by Templario and the Atlantis father and son. Then Brody King and Daniel Garcia follow, saving TNT Champion, Adam Cole, for last! The fans join in for the “BOOM!” and “ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!” These massive teams sort out, and Bandido steps up against the Alpha, Konosuke Takeshita. The fans fire up behind the Most Wanted while he and Konosuke circle. They approach, Konosuke trips Bandido and things speed up. Bandido stays low, then hurdles, but Konosuke leaps over. Bandido dodges Konosuke, then he aims his finger gun!
The fans cheer as Konosuke says he has his eyes on Bandido, too. Konosuke kicks low, whips, but Bandido reverses. Bandido scoops right to a torture rack! X KNEE blocked, and Konosuke spins Bandido to back suplex. Bandido lands out, Konosuke mule kicks. Konosuke runs, but into a RANA! The fans fire up while Konosuke bails out. Bandido builds speed, but Hechicero steps in per lucha rules! The fans cheer these two, even duel, and then Hechi takes a swing. Bandido dodges, fires hands, but Hechi dodges and even goes Matrix! The fans fire up, Hechi scoops, Bandido slips free, but Hechi victory rolls to then INVERTED MONKEY FLIP!
Hechi catches Bandido into the REAR NAKED CHOKE, but Bandido rolls back! They both stand, Hechi wrenches Bandido and whips. Hechi runs up to STEP-UP KNEE! Bandido flops down and Hechi shows off the drop steps. Bandido bails out so Garcia runs in! Garcia whips, Hechi sunset flips, but Garcia rolls through, and does his dance! The fans are torn, but Hechi trips Garcia to have the legs! Hechi rolls and stacks Garcia, only for Garcia to activate the core! Garcia sits up, sunset flips, but Hechi blocks to spin Garcia! Garcia RANAS through! Hechi bails out, Dax storms in, and the fans boo.
Garcia fires forearms on Dax first, then backs him to a corner. The fans cheer as Garcia goes up, and he rains down fists! The fans count but Dax stops Garcia at cinco! Dax carries Garcia off the corner but Garcia fights free to DECK Dax! Garcia whips but Dax reverses and wrenches to short arm LARIAT! Garcia bails out so Atlantis Junior jumps in. Arena Mexico actually boos Junior, he’s apparently not as cool as Senior. Junior shrugs that off to run up on Dax. Dax puts Junior on the apron and Junior GAMANGIRIS! Junior slingshots, runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then SLINGBLADES! Cover, TWO!
Atlantis Junior tags Templario and the fans cheer again. Junior & Temp roll Dax into a wheelbarrow and Temp goes up to MISSILE DROPKICK Dax into the WHEELBARROW GERMAN! Temp covers, TWO! Templario hears the fans cheer him on, but Volador climbs up and CROSSBODIES! He takes down Temp & Junior, then ducks ‘n ‘dodges. Dax gives him a boost to DOUBLE DROPKICK! Dax whips Junior, Volador whips Templario, but they both duck to come back and DOUBLE RANA! Junior SUPERKICKS Dax, and fans boo! Volador SUPERKICKS Junior and fans cheer! Templario rises, and he circles with Volador.
Templario RIPS Volador’s Depredadores shirt and stomps on it! Then things speed up. Volador hurdles, Temp ducks then rolls off Voaldor’s back! Temp goes up, up, and RANAS! Volador bails out, and we get a TEMPLAROONI! Templario then handsprings to SASUKE SPECIAL! Direct hit on Volador, and now that lets Brody King step in. The fans bark and Dax realizes he’s alone with this Hound of Hell. Dax offers a handshake, but Brody CHOPS him down! Archer storms in as Dax scrambles out, and the Murderhawk Monster CLUBS Brody! The fans boo as Archer CLUBS away on Brody, then he soaks up the heat.
Archer whips, Josh Alexander gets a cheap shot in, but Brody swings on him for it! Alexander HOTSHOTS him in return! Archer choke grips, but Cole CHOPE BLOCKS! Cole & Brody RAM Archer into the Walking Weapon! SUPERKICK! SUPERKICK! Brody goes out to get Alexander while Cole SHINING WIZARDS Archer down! Brody fireman’s carries Alexander, APRON DEATH VALLEY!! The fans are thunderous as now Kyle Fletcher steps in. Protostar and Panama City Playboy fire hands! Kyle knees low and fires off more knees! Kyle whips, Cole ducks ‘n’ dodges, and DOUBLE LARIATS collide!
Cole keeps going, he LARIATS again! Kyle wobbles, Cole tries a third time, but he runs into a SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Kyle grins and soaks up heat, but here comes Atlantis Senior! The fans fire up as Senior ducks ‘n’ dodges and TACKLES Kyle! The fans fire up as Atlantis rains down fists! Kyle goes to a corner, Atlantis fires off more shots, then puts him in the other corner. Kyle turns things around, and are more fans cheering Kyle than Senior? Kyle runs up, Senior dodges and Junior GAMANGIRIS! Bandido SUPERKICKS Kyle! Templario JUMP KNEES Kyle! Brody CHOPS Kyle! Garcia BOOTS Kyle up and out!
The fans fire up as now Cole and the team gather together, and the fans cheer as all seven raise their hands! Bandido’s team is in control while Grand Slam goes picture in picture.
The ref has the team sort out and Bandido stays in. He goes out to fetch Dax, but Dax and Volador mug him! The rest of Bandido’s team goes to help him and it is a huge brawl! All 14 men are throwing hands, and Brody even DUMPS Kyle into the crowd! Archer puts Garcia in the ring so they’re legal now. Archer climbs up a corner to rain down fists! Garcia slips out before tres, trips Archer up, and he climbs up! Garcia rains down fists, and this time, Garcia makes it to siete before Archer picks him up and DROPS him on the top buckle! Archer mocks Garcia’s dance, then he drags Garcia up to whip him hard into the Rudo corner.
Archer taunts Bandido, goes back to Garcia, and stands on him at the ropes! The ref reprimands, Archer steps off, and Garcia gets up to fire forearms! Archer ROCKS him in return! Hechicero tags in and he fires hands on Garcia! The ref counts, Hechi stops at quatro and powers up his alchemy. Then he drags Garcia up, only for Garcia to fire hands! Garcia runs, but Hechi scoops him for a BEARHUG! And a SPINNING BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Hechi is upset but dos es dos. Hechi drags Garcia up, wrenches his arm, and tags in Alexander. They mug Garcia and Grand Slam returns to single picture.
Mexico cheers on Hechicero, but alexander RAMS Garcia and lifts, only for Garcia to fight it! TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Both men are down and the fans rally up! Garcia crawls, reaches out, but Alexander grabs at his foot! Garcia still fights to hot tag Bandido! The fans fire up as Bandido fires forearms with Alexander back and forth! Bandido gets the edge and the fans cheer, only for Alexander to knee low! Alexander runs, but Bandido gorilla presses him! And then SLAMS him down! The fans fire up more, and Bandido goes up, up, and Latino Heat, but Alexander is right up after him! SUPER BELLY2BELLY! Cover, TWO!
The fans fire up but Alexander hurries to get Bandido up. Konosuke climbs and Alexander Electric Chair Lifts Bandido! But Bandido slips down, shoves Alexander into Konosuke, and then he sends Alexander to Templario for a SUPERKICK! Templario puts Alexander up top, then he and Bandido climb! They have Konosuke and Alexander on the very top, for STEREO MOONSAULT POWERSLAMS!! Stereo covers, TWO!! Both Alexander and Konosuke survive but Temp & Bandido high-five. But then Kyle SUPERKICKS Templario! Bandido fires hands, runs, but Kyle LARIATS Bandido! Atlantis Junior SUPERKICKS Kyle!
Junior goes up, up, but Alexander SHOVES him down! Alexander then goes out after Junior while Kyle rises. Atlantis Junior fights to BACKDROP Alexander into the ring! Junior goes up the ramp, runs back down, and he CROSSBODIES Kyle & Alexander! The teams rush in, it is a brawl, but then Bandido’s team puts Kyle, Alexander, Konosuke and Volador in corners! The fans cheer as Bandido, Junior, Garcia and Cole rain down fists! The fans count along, and finally, we get all the way to DIEZ! En total, cuarenta! The fans cheer as Bandido’s team tosses the rudos out, and then Junior DIVES to take out Konosuke! Konosuke stays up, so Templario DIVES onto him, too!
Garcia and Alexander brawl their way up the ramp and to the back, and the same for Cole with Kyle! Bandido ASAI MOONSAULTS Volador! Archer storms into the ring to meet Brody! The fans bark for these behemoths and the forearms fly! Archer throat chops, runs, but into a forearm! Brody roars and runs, but into a forearm! Archer roars and runs, but then fakes Brody out! But Brody deflects the boot to run and CLOBBER Archer! Archer tumbles out, but here comes Hechi! FLYING ELBOW! Hechi stomps away on Brody and the fans fire up! The Alchemist whips, Brody blows through the lariat to RANA?!?
Hechi tumbles out while fans bark, and Brody builds speed to DIVE!! The supersized tope takes out Hechi AND Konosuke! But that leaves Dax with Atlantis Senior. And Senior has been owing Dax a beating since last week! The hands fly, the fans fire up, and Senior gets the edge! But Dax kicks low! Dax CLUBS Senior, kicks away, and the fans are cheering!? Dax is all fired up, and he drags Senior up to bring him around. But Senior drags him into a cradle! Team Bandido wins!!

But Dax attacks anyway! What a sore loser! But Arena Mexico doesn’t seem to care?! Junior and the other luchadores run Dax off, and Stokely says keep them back! Will things just have to end here? Or will both father and son get payback on FTR soon enough?
Kazuchika Okada w/ Don Callis VS Mark Briscoe!
The Rainmaker has a Winner Takes All match with long-time rival, Kenny Omega, but he crossed a line! Not only has Okada joined Don Callis just to stick it to The Cleaner, but Okada hospitalized Omega with a brutal attack to the stomach! Will the Sussex County Chicken get a semblance of revenge on Omega’s behalf? Or will Okada make it rain in Arena Mexico?
The fans are fired up for Okada while he and Briscoe get face to face. The ref has them back away to their corners, then the bell rings. Okada and Briscoe step up again, then Briscoe shoves Okada! Okada bails out and the fans boo. Briscoe waits on Okada while commentary tells Callis he and Okada committed the most despicable thing in all of wrestling. Callis of course says it was the most shrewd tactical move in the history of wrestling. Okada takes his time returning into the ring, and then he circles with Briscoe. They tie up and are in a deadlock. They go around, Okada puts Briscoe on the ropes, but he lets off slowly.
Okada fakes the chop, and pats Briscoe on the shoulders. The fans are torn, but Briscoe kicks Okada and TOSSES him! The fans cheer as Briscoe builds speed, but Okada steps aside so Briscoe can’t dive. Briscoe gives chase, though, and they go around the outside. They slide back in, and Okada CLOBBERS Briscoe! The fans are torn as Okada CLUBS away. Okada fires forearms, storms up to stomp Briscoe in the corner, and then ELBOWS him! The fans are torn but Okada brings Briscoe around for a BIG back suplex. But Briscoe lands out, and hits the Crane Stance! Okada takes a swing, Briscoe ducks, and Briscoe CHOPS!
Briscoe whips, Okada reverses, but Briscoe slides under the boot! Crane Stance! Crane feint, then the CRANE KICK! The fans fire up as Briscoe stands up in his Redneck Kung-Fu stance. Briscoe stands Okada up to ROCK with a haymaker, then ROCKS him again. Okada staggers, Briscoe is on him with a CHOP! The fans “WOO~” and Callis acknowledges those heavy hands of Briscoe’s. Briscoe bumps Okada off buckles, stomps a mudhole, then stops as the ref counts 4. Briscoe then grinds his forearm into Okada’s face! The ref counts again, Briscoe stops at 4, and he whips corner to corner. Okada reverses but Briscoe goes up and out.
Okada runs up but Briscoe blocks a shot to ROCK Okada! Briscoe then RAMS into Okada, throws him out of the ring, and then DIVES! Direct hit and the fans fire up! Briscoe high-fives the front row before he puts Okada in the ring. Okada goes to a corner, Briscoe runs up and LARIATS! Briscoe goes corner to corner again, but Okada BOOTS him! Briscoe just fires up! Okada dodges this time, and he hoists Briscoe up to DROPKICK him down to the floor! The fans fire up while Grand Slam goes picture in picture.
Okada waits while Briscoe is down and out. A ring count starts, Briscoe stirs, but then Okada goes out to fetch Briscoe. Briscoe fires body shots but Okada kicks low! DDT to the floor! Okada leaves Briscoe behind and the ring count starts again. Briscoe rises up, leans on commentary, and he tells Callis off before he goes to the ring at 6 of 10. Okada is on Briscoe with another DDT! Cover, TWO! Briscoe toughs it out and Okada is annoyed. Okada stalks Briscoe to a corner, but Briscoe kicks low! Okada ELBOWS Briscoe, whips corner to corner, then runs in and ELBOWS Briscoe down! Okada paces while soaking up cheers and jeers.
Okada goes back to Briscoe and drags him up. Okada reels Briscoe in, turns him, and hits a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Briscoe is still in this and he rises up. Okada is on him with a chinlock and bends him back! Briscoe endures as Okada leans on the hold, and Briscoe fights around to stand back up. But Okada drags Briscoe back down! Briscoe still fights, Grand Slam returns to single picture, and the fans rally up. Briscoe rises again, fires body shots, then runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, but Okada hits a FLAPJACK! Okada is ice cold while the fans fire up. Okada brings Briscoe up, gut wrenches, but Briscoe fights to a victory roll! TWO!
Okada runs up, Briscoe waistlocks, but Okada switches. Briscoe breaks free to PELE! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Briscoe pounds the mat and the fans rally. Briscoe rises, Okada stands, and they throw forearms back and forth! Briscoe ROCKS Okada, and Okada comes back to CLAW Briscoe’s eyes! Okada whips, but Briscoe reverses and CHOPS! The fans fire up as Okada stays in this! Briscoe clutches his neck but he brings Okada back up. Okada fights the clinch, the fans duel, and Okada puts Briscoe on ropes. Okada whips, Briscoe FLIPS through the backdrop! The fans fire up and Okada thinks it is for him. But he turns around into a REDNECK UPPERCUT! Briscoe runs in at the corner, but Okada pops him up to the Alabama Lift! REVERSE NECKBREAKER! The fans fire up again and Okada scoops to SLAM! Standard formula, Okada goes up the corner! MACHO ELBOW! Then Okada winds it up, and gives the Rainmaker MIDDLE FINGER~!
Okada grins, but Briscoe grabs that finger to BITE IT! The fans fire up and the ref reprimands, but Briscoe BITES more! Then EXPLODER! Briscoe drags Okada to a drop zone, climbs up top, and FROGGY-BOW! Cover, TWO!! The fans fire up as Okada survives! Briscoe calls his shot and he underhooks Okada! But Okada BACKDROPS free! Briscoe is right up, swings, but Okada dodges to then backslide! Roll through, but Briscoe dodges the lariat, only for the DROPKICK to hit! Okada roars, ripcords, and RAIN- NO, Briscoe ducks, kicks low, and underhooks! But Okada fights the lift! Wrench, ripcord, but Briscoe wrenches and underhooks! JAY-

MJF w/ The Hurt Syndicate VS Mistico!
The Scumbag only ever does or uses something when it benefits him, and being extremely patriotic for the United States only seems to happen when he wants to stick it to someone not from the United States. MJF waves Ol’ Glory while he, MVP, Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin walk down to the ring, but will he have to wave the white flag of surrender here tonight? Or will MJF somehow screw over the arguably greatest and most beloved man in CMLL?
In fact, to counter MJF being an American idiot, Mistico takes off his Sin Cara mask to reveal the colors of Mexico’s flag and therefore the colors of his people. He also has Me Muero as his theme, and the fans all know that one! The bell rings and the two circle while the fans rally behind Mistico. The two tie up, MJF SHOVES Mistico away, and then MJF soaks up the heat. MJF mockingly claps and then says up theirs! MVP tells MJF to worry about Mistico, not the fans. The fans tell MJF off and MJF tells them to shut up. MJF and Mistico tie up, Mistico SHOVES MJF, and Mistico eggs MJF on! MJF gets up, he and Mistico circle again, and they tie up. MJF kicks low and grins.
MJF brings Mistico around to headlock but Mistico fires body shots. Mistico powers up and out, then CHOPS! Mistico winds up and the fans rally, and he knuckle locks before he CHOPS again! Mistico goes up, up, and he tightrope walks to FLYING ARM-DRAG! The fans fire up as Mistico then hits a CODE RED! Cover, TWO! MJF bails out but Mistico builds speed! Mistico handsprings to fake MJF out! MJF thinks he’s smooth for running away, but then MVP tells him to focus on Mistico, not on the fans. MJF says he knows, and he eggs on Mistico. Mistico runs out there to chase MJF, but then the Hurt Syndicate stands in the way!
The fans boo, Mistico wags his finger, and he tells them to part. MJF runs up to ROCK Mistico first! The fans boo but MJF high-fives his guys. MJF says, “Easy! Too easy!” MJF puts Mistico in the ring, smirks while the fans call him more names. MJF swivels his hips, then runs up, but Mistico dodges the knee drop! Mistico runs up to RANA! The fans fire up and Mistico has MJF in a corner. MJF wants mercy, but Mistico says nope! Mistico runs up, but MJF YANKS him into buckles! MJF stomps away on Mistico, then goes to the other end to stand on the corner. MJF soaks up heat as he does the Pledge of Allegiance!
The fans boo, and MVP again reprimands MJF, he needs to be about business, not about trolling! MJF goes back to Mistico, drags him up, and he brings Mistico around, but Mistico JAWBREAKERS! Mistico runs, hops on, but MJF stops Code Red to reel Mistico in! POWER BREAKER! Cover, TWO! Mistico survives, MVP says this is still fine, and Grand Slam goes picture in picture. MJF sits Mistico up, and he pulls at the mask! MJF’s lucky this is an AEW based event, CMLL rules say this is tantamount to a disqualification! MJF rips at the eyehole, then clamps on a chinlock. MJF grinds Mistico down but Mistico endures.
Mistico fights while the fans tell MJF off again. Mistico rises up, fires body shots, then runs to ROCK MJF! Mistico fires forearms but MJF throat chops! MJF TOSSES Mistico out, distracts the ref, and the Hurt Syndicate attacks! BARRIER BACKBREAKER from Shelton! Shelton shoves Mistico back into the ring, MJF covers, TWO! Mistico is still in this but the ref is a bit suspicious of the Hurt Syndicate. MVP defends their innocence, and MJF puts Mistico on ropes. MJF CHOKES Mistico, the ref counts, and MJF stops at 4. This lets Lashley CHOKE Mistico and throw hands! The Hurt syndicate gets away with more, and MJF covers, TWO!
MVP tells fans to callete, they saw nothing! MJF stalks Mistico, stomps him on the foot, then has him on the ropes. MJF stomps him more, then soaks up heat. MJF drags Mistico up, scoops and carries him, then SLAMS him down! MJF huffs ‘n’ puffs while Grand Slam returns to single picture. MJF sits Mistico back up, runs the ropes, and then just steps up to pelvic thrust! The fans boo and Mistico is pissed now! MVP says no more trolling, MJF, he’s already told him that! MJF ROCKS Mistico, but Mistico eggs him on! MJF ROCKS Mistico, CLUBS him again and again, but then Mistico blocks to fire off forearms! And KICKS, SOBATS and KICKS!
The fans fire up with Mistico, but MJF BITES Mistico’s mask! MJF whips, Mistico reverses, then he ducks ‘n’ dodges to handspring and BACK ELBOW! The fans fire up and Mistico aims from a corner. But MJF runs up! Mistico dodges, runs back in, but MJF puts him on the apron. Mistico GAMANGIRIS! The fans fire up, Mistico springboards, CROSSBODY! Moxley reverses, Matt trips Ospreay up, and Matt drags Ospreay out. Ospreay sends Matt into Swerve’s BOOT! Nick YANKS Swerve down but Ospreay sends Nick into railing! Ospreay hurries back in, but Moxley hits a CUTTER! Moxley flips off the fans, then stands between Ospreay and his corner. Moxley stomps Ospreay’s hand and puts him in the #DeathBucks corner. Moxley bends Ospreay’s fingers, the ref counts, and Moxley lets go so that Yuta can CHOKE Ospreay!
Yuta gets away with that, and Moxley tags Nick. Nick goes up to AX HANDLE Ospreay! Tag to Matt and the Bucks double whip. They DOUBLE ELBOW, hit their pose, then stomp away on Ospreay. Matt rains down fists, then BITES Ospreay’s forehead! Matt tries to rip that bandage away but it’s on there tight. The ref reprimands but Matt keeps between Ospreay and his team. Matt stands Ospreay up but Ospreay CHOPS Matt! And CHOPS again! Matt RAMS Ospreay to the corner, Yuta tags in, and they mug Ospreay. Yuta rains down fists, then stalks Ospreay. Yuta grabs a leg, hits a spinning toehold, then ties the legs up in a DEATHLOCK!
Yuta bridges back to put on the pressure! Ospreay endures, Yuta flips off the fans, and then Yuta tags Moxley in. Ospreay is stuck and Moxley stomps him right down! The ref reprimands but Yuta lets Ospreay go. Grand Slam returns to single picture and Ospreay fires hands. Moxley fires back, the fans rally for Ospreay, but Moxley scoops to SLAM! Cover, TWO! Moxley stays on Ospreay with another cover, TWO! Moxley has the arm, DOUBLE WRISTLOCK! Ospreay endures as it becomes a KIMURA! Ospreay still fights up and the fans rally! Ospreay’s entire team reaches out, but Moxley pulls Ospreay’s hair! Moxley shoves Ospreay away to then sucker punch Swerve!
Hobbs storms in but the ref keeps him back. Ospreay CHOPS away on Moxley! Moxley shoots around to have a SLEEPER! Ospreay slips out the back to back suplex, but Moxley fights with elbows! Moxley whips, Ospreay handsprings, NEURALIZER KICK! Moxley wobbles but falls, and Ospreay crawls! Hot tags to Yuta and Hobbs! The fans fire up as Hobbs CLOBBERS Yuta, BLASTS The Bucks, and then picks Yuta up to RAM him into a corner! The fans fire up as Hobbs shouts, “MEAT!” The fans fire up and Hobbs fires those point-blank LARIATS! Hobbs goes past DIEZ to hit TRECE! That’s 13!
Hobbs then brings Yuta out to short arm LARIAT! The fans fire up as the straps come down! But The Bucks kick low! The Bucks DOUBLE CHOP, but that just pisses Hobbs off! The Bucks apologize but the fans tell them they messed up. Hobbs blocks a superkick, then the other! The Bucks want mercy, but Hobbs goes to guzels! But Yuta jumps on for a SLEEPER! Joe wants in, the ref has him stop, but this lets Moxley sneak in! Mox kicks Hobbs low! Hobbs lets the Bucks go, Mox & Yuta double whip. Hobbs breaks through that double lariat to DOUBLE LARIAT The Bucks! The fans fire up as Hobbs then DOUBLE LARIATS Yuta & Moxley!
Ospreay & Swerve hurry to DOUBLE PLANCHA The Bucks! Shibata tags in, he whips Yuta to a corner. Shibata sends Hobbs in for a SPLASH! Then Shibata adds his HYDRAULIC DROPKICK! The fans fire up and Shibata HALF HATCH SUPLEXES Yuta! Hobbs scoops Yuta for a POWERSLAM! Shibata covers but Mortos breaks it! Hobbs returns, Mortos dodges him and SPEARS Hobbs down!! Then a HEADBUTT for Shibata! Mortos keeps going, TORNILLO TOPE onto Hobbs!! Mortos gets back in and LARIATS Shibata! The fans fire up but here comes Joe! Joe fires forearms back and forth with Mortos!
The fans rally, Joe fires a flurry, but Mortos kicks low! Mortos whips Joe to the corner, runs in, but Joe URENAGES Mortos down! Nick SHINING WIZARDS! Matt cravats Joe and Nick helps with the SLICED BREAD! BASEMENT SUPERKICK! But Ospreay springboards in! DOUBLE SUPERKICKS for Ospreay! Then they have the wrists, E V P- NO, Ospreay kips up, gets loose, and DOUBLE OSCUTTERS!! Swerve joins in, FOSBURY FLOP onto the Bucks! The fans are thunderous, Nana does his dance, and Ospreay turns around into a BUSAIKU KNEE from Yuta! Shibata gets Yuta in a SLEEPER! Yuta snapmares free and ROCKS Shibata!
“ESTA LUCHA!” as Yuta runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and BUSAIKU KNEES Shibata! But Shibata’s right up to PENALTY KICK!! Both men are down and the fans continue to rally! Hot tags to Swerve and Moxley! These two fire forearms and the fans fire up again! The most dangerous men in AEW go back and forth, but Swerve gets the edge! Moxley ROLLING ELBOWS! Swerve mule kicks and HAYMAKERS! Ospreay adds a HOOK KICK! Swerve somersaults for the FLATLINER! Ospreay helps Swerve turn Moxley in the gator roll, CHASING THE DRAGON!! The fans are thunderous and Ospreay sets Moxley up!
Swerve goes up, but Matt stops Swerve! Swerve kicks Matt away and Ospreay BOOTS Matt down! But Marina distracts the ref! Nick SHOVES Swerve and Swerve HOTSHOTS off the ropes! Moxley rolls swerve up to cover, DEATH BUCKS WIN!!

The Problem is always a factor, but this isn’t done as Yuta & The Bucks beat up on Joe! Then the Bucks SUPERKICK Swerve! Moxley has a SLEEPER on Swerve, then feeds him to the SUPERKICKS! Moxley puts the SLEEPER back on, but HERE COMES HANGMAN!! The Cowboy told us about the ringside ban, but also mentioned that once the match was over, it was fair game! Hangman storms out here, unintentionally saving Swerve, and he glares at Moxley. The fans fire up as Hangman throws off his jacket and rushes the ring! Moxley stands his ground, the two get face to face, and now go fist for fist! Yuta gets in but Hangman DECKS him!
Moxley kicks low! Moxley whips but Hangman goes to the apron! Moxley waits, Hangman slingshots, but then Moxley dodges! BUCKSHOT on Matt! Well, it did hit a Buck, and Nick asks wtf! Hangman says he told them, they stay out of his business or else! But now Moxley has the briefcase! Only for Hangman to spot him first. Moxley is frozen in place, and now The Opps & Ospreay get in the ring! The Maniac decides discretion is the better part of valor, and The Death Riders are in retreat. But there’s no running from what’s coming! 24 days remain before All In, will they be the last 24 days Moxley has as champion?
My Thoughts:
Awesome night for AEW’s first show in Mexico, even with things going about how I expected. For one, Mone of course won the title, because why else would they even do this match if not to give her one more belt? Though, what’s wild is that she picked up another belt without much hype or press from AEW. I guess European Wrestling Alliance hopes this gets them some attention. But good stuff with Toni Storm’s noir video and the sneak attack. And I would hope Toni retains the title at All In to keep Mone from going Ultimo Dragon just yet.
Cash Wheeler and Claudio Castagnoli both had travel issues, so I understand subbing people in. But did a 12 Man Tag really need to become a 14 Man Tag for it? And seeing as how I don’t cover CMLL’s own programming, I have NO idea why Atlantis Senior & Junior are getting booed. Is it a “Cena Wins LOL” situation where Junior is winning too much? That’s the only thing I can really think of offhand. But naturally, the Faces of that match won, as The Don Callis Family was rolling last week and needed humbling. I would think we still get Adam Cole VS Kyle Fletcher 2 now, and maybe Kyle wins the title so that the Don Callis Family has something.
Although, Callis seems to be bringing Okada into the fold for whatever reason, so he could end up bringing the “Unified” Continental & International Championship to the family. Okada VS Briscoe was great, and naturally Okada got the win. Mistico VS MJF was great stuff, up until MJF gave up and gave Mistico the win there. I know MJF loves getting heat, but him being the first man to snatch Mistico’s mask away like that is some HUGE heat. Also, I think I said it way back during some feud Penta had in AEW, but are masks really sacred if they’re willing to let them get ripped, stretched, and even yanked away? Or has that been lucha libre kayfabe all along? Either way, great stuff with JetSpeed and the other luchadores showing up, lots of matches set up with that.
Great Fatal 4 Way, and great win for Hologram to stay undefeated, but I will again criticize needing to do money prizes for these things. They should’ve set Hologram up for a title match twice over by now but TK is apparently making Hologram his top undefeated guy. Like if Goldberg was more than just big and strong and could actually do stuff… Also, while they obviously didn’t work together the entire time, I just feel like Ricochet having Lio Rush & Action Andretti become his crew (what with them being CRU and all) is the right move. Or perhaps this story of finding a faction is going to be an ongoing gag that no one likes Ricochet and would never follow him.
Then a great 10 Man Tag main event, though a little redundant considering Anarchy in the Arena was only a few weeks ago. Still good stuff for everybody, especially Mortos since he got to sub in for Claudio. Of course Marina gets involved so that the Heels win, but great stuff with Hangman going after Moxley. Hangman did a great job in his promo speaking Espanol to show respect to the fans. Naturally, Moxley gets away, that’s his whole thing. I really hope Ospreay, Swerve and The Opps keep the Death Riders and Bucks at bay so Hangman doesn’t get screwed over at All In. It’d be garbage if, after all this time and energy, it doesn’t pay off with Hangman as the triumphant hero.

The Fallen Angel tells the Cowboy that at All In, when it’s Hangman VS Moxley, Daniels knows Hangman can get it done. But there’s still a lot of time between now and then, and it isn’t just Moxley they have to worry about. There are all the Death Riders, and Hangman can’t fight them all on his own. And no matter what The Young Bucks say, Hangman should know they’re in this for themselves. Daniels wishes he could be there for Hangman, but he can’t. But Hangman still has friends in this locker room that, despite their history, will be there for him. As for those that have… harsh feelings for Hangman, perhaps Hangman should try and rectify that.
Daniels leaves Hangman with that to think on, but can the Cowboy mend those bridges. Wait, Jon Moxley is lurking in the shadows! And he sends his Death Riders to follow Hangman! Will the Maniac make sure All In’s world title match doesn’t even happen? Is that a sign that Mox fears Hangman?

Speaking of those allies, The Aerial Assassin is more than ready to back the Hangman’s gambit. However, the Realest has sworn off ever helping The Cowboy with anything, and vice-versa. Can Ospreay convince Swerve that they’re better off together? Or will Ospreay be kicked out of Swerve’s House?
The bell rings and the fans fire up already. Ospreay and Swerve stare down while the fans chant, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” The fans lose their minds just from Swerve stepping up and offering a handshake. Ospreay is wary, but he accepts. The fans cheer the sportsmanship, and then the two square up. They keep the wristlock, feel out the grapple, and Ospreay headlocks. Swerve powers up and out but Ospreay RAMS him! Both men bob ‘n’ weave the other’s shots, then Swerve headlocks. Ospreay powers up and out, drops down, then hurdles. Swerve waistlocks, ducks an elbow, and he shoves Ospreay.
Ospreay rolls off Swerve’s back, rolls under, then rolls back to arm-drag! Swerve drags Ospreay down, both men kip up, and Ospreay RANAS! Swerve handsprings through to RANA in return, but Ospreay handsprings through! The fans are thunderous as the two have another stare down! They cheer “A E DUB!” for making this match happen. The two circle again, feel things out, and tie up collar ‘n’ elbow. They are in a deadlock, go around, and Ospreay puts Swerve on the ropes. The fans cheer, the ref counts, and Ospreay lets off. Ospreay swings but Swerve puts Ospreay on the ropes. Swerve lets off slowly, to then DECK Ospreay!
The fans fire up and Ospreay already has a bloody nose! Ospreay shakes it off but Swerve whips him to ropes. Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges, RANAS, and Swerve can’t flip through this time! Ospreay scoops and SLAMS, then STANDING SKY TWISTERS! Cover, ONE!! Swerve grits his teeth but he got out quick. Ospreay gives him a sharp Kawada Kick! Swerve scrambles to a corner, Ospreay ROCKS him, HEADBUTTS him, then wrenches to a wristlock. Ospreay CHOPS Swerve, but Swerve just snarls. Ospreay grins through the bloody nose, and he CHOPS again! Swerve grimaces but Ospreay winds up to CHOP again!
Swerve DECKS Ospreay again! The fans fire up while Ospreay goes to a corner. Swerve snapmares Ospreay, goes up, and FALLING UPPERCUTS! Then he hits the Griddy! The fans cheer as Swerve puts a little extra on it. Swerve waits on Ospreay, whips him to ropes, but Ospreay grabs ropes! Swerve runs up but Ospreay DUMPS him out, only for Swerve to handspring through! Swerve lands safe on the floor, but Ospreay PLANCHAS, only for Swerve to dodge! Swerve hops up to the apron to BOOT Ospreay down! Swerve puts Ospreay in the ring, then goes up and in, somersaults and FLATLINERS! And then a gator roll to a deadlift suplex!
The fans cheer, Swerve covers, TWO! Ospreay is still in this and the fans applaud. Swerve grows frustrated but Prince Nana coaches him up. The fans rally for Ospreay but Swerve CLUBS Ospreay on the head. Ospreay goes to a corner, Swerve runs in, but Swerve blocks a boot! Ospreay swipes at Swerve but he can’t reach him! Swerve slips under to BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Ospreay toughs it out and the fans duel again. Swerve sits Ospreay up into a chicken wing, but Ospreay fights off the crossface. Swerve powers through to clamp on the chinlock, but Ospreay fights up. Swerve wrangles Ospreay with a chinbar!
The fans rally as Ospreay endures and fights up again. Ospreay reaches out, the fans duel, and Swerve keeps Ospreay from the ropes. Ospreay powers out to CHOP, but Swerve still grinds the arm! Ospreay CHOPS, Swerve puts pressure on the shoulder, then he CLUBS the arm! Ospreay clutches the elbow, but he CHOPS in return! It was almost a backhand really, and Swerve sputters a bit. Swerve takes a swing, Ospreay dodges to handspring and NEURALIZER KICK! Both men go to corners, Ospreay runs in, but Swerve puts Ospreay on the apron. Ospreay ROCKS Swerve, then springboards, PIP PIP CHEERIO!
Swerve bails out and the fans fire up as Ospreay powers up! Ospreay builds speed, handspring and SASUKE SPECIAL! Down goes Swerve and the fans fire up again! “This is Awesome!” as the Summer Blockbuster goes picture in picture!
Swerve clutches a shoulder and shakes out his arm. Ospreay goes outside to fetch Swerve, and he sends Swerve into railing! Ospreay winds up to BOOT Swerve! Swerve flops against railing then falls to the floor! Ospreay drags Swerve up, whips him into the steel steps, and Swerve hits off of them knee first! Swerve staggers away and leans against the apron. Ospreay kicks the bad leg, puts Swerve in the ring, then drags him to the corner. Ospreay SLAMS Swerve’s leg against the post! Swerve writhes, Ospreay high-fives some fans, then Ospreay goes back to the apron. Ospreay steps inside, whips Swerve to a corner, then runs up to ELBOW him!
Ospreay snapmares Swerve down and the Summer Blockbuster returns to single picture. Ospreay goes up a corner, waits on Swerve, and hits a BLINDSIDE FLYING FOREARM! The fans fire up and Ospreay calls his shot. Ospreay springboards, OSC- COUNTER NECKBREAKER! Swerve hurries to stand Ospreay up for another NECKBREAKER! Swerve hurries to get Ospreay back up, but Ospreay turns the neckbreaker into a backslide! TWO, and Swerve puts Ospreay through the ropes! But Ospreay fights off another neckbreaker to then throw hands. Swerve sweeps the legs! Basement SUPERKICK! Ospreay dangles over the floor!
The fans fire up as Swerve goes out, and hits a DRAPING NECKBREAKERÂ to the floor! The ref reprimands but that was just brutal, not illegal! Swerve calculates what he has to do next, and he puts Ospreay in the ring. Swerve has Ospreay on the apron now, hoists him up, then hangs him out to dry! Swerve goes up top to GUILLOTINE DOUBLE STOMP! Ospreay writhes, Swerve covers, TWO! Swerve is annoyed but he stays focused. Ospreay clutches his lower back but Swerve clamps onto the arms. Swerve traps one, then pulls back on the other. Ospreay resists but Swerve digs his knuckles into Ospreay’s back!
Ospreay reaches back to hit a headlock takeover and cover! TWO, and Ospreay avoids a House Call! Swerve avoids a Hidden Blade! Swerve UP KICKS, then half nelsons, but Ospreay arm-drags free! HIDDEN BLADE!! Ospreay doesn’t stop there, he underhooks for the STORM- NO, Swerve slips free and scoops to POWERSLAM! Gator roll and suplex, but into STUN DOG MILLIONAIRE! The fans fire up and Ospreay springboards, OSCUTTER into an ARMBAR! Swerve makes it a SHORT ARM SCISSOR! Ospreay endures, fights around, and reaches out, all while the fans duel! They roll, Ospreay stacks, ONE and Ospreay deadlifts Swerve!
Ospreay powers up to WHEELBARROW GERMAN Swerve into buckles!! The fans are thunderous while both men are down again! Ospreay rises at center while Swerve uses the ropes to stand. Ospreay runs up, falls for the feint, and Swerve KICKS the legs out! Then Swerve goes up the corner, only for Ospreay to tuck him in! CHEEKY NANDOS! Ospreay drags Swerve back for a POISON-RANA! Ospreay prepares the elbow and the fans fire up again! HIDDEN- NO, Swerve mule kicks, HAYMAKERS, and ROLLING ELBOWS! Swerve runs, into a SPANISH FLY! Cover, TWO! Ospreay springboards, OSCUTTER!! Cover, TWO!!
The fans are thunderous again as Ospreay drags Swerve up with underhooks. Swerve fights the lift, goes to ropes, and he DUMPS Ospreay out! Ospreay tumbles but stands back up, only for Swerve to PLANCHA! Ospreay moves, Swerve lands on the apron, and Swerve ASAI MOONSAULTS, but Ospreay slides into the ring! Swerve’s leg jams and he hobbles to the desk! Ospreay lines up a shot, FLYING HIDDEN BLADE!! The fans are losing their minds again and Nana’s jaw has dropped, but the Blockbuster goes picture in picture again!
The ref checks both men, and Ospreay’s bloody nose is still a concern. Both men are able to continue, so the ref starts a ring count. Ospreay rises first, and he decides to leave swerve behind! Nana coaches Swerve up and Swerve makes it into the ring at 7, only to get a COAST2COAST! Cover, TWO!! Swerve survives that sniper shot and Ospreay grows frustrated. Ospreay stalks Swerve, blocks the up kick and steps through the legs! Swerve fights it but Ospreay still gets the FIGURE FOUR! Swerve flails and reaches out but Ospreay CHOPS him! Swerve CHOPS back, but falls back. His shoulders are down so it’s a cover, TWO!
Swerve fights around, Ospreay stops the turnover, and he even grabs Swerve’s hand to keep Swerve from reaching the ropes. Ospreay fires a haymaker, Swerve fires back, repeat! Ospreay puts on the pressure, Swerve falls back into the cover, TWO! Swerve continues to endure, and he works to rock the boat, only for Ospreay to put on more pressure! Swerve still works to turn things over, Ospreay fights against it, but then Swerve uses that to roll! Ospreay endures, but he quickly rolls it back! Swerve uses that to have the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Ospreay undoes the hold, and both men are down, catching their breath.
Ospreay rolls away and rises up as the Summer Blockbuster returns to single picture. The fans cheer “A E DUB! A E DUB!” as Ospreay watches Swerve stand. SUPERKICK! Swerve wobbles but stays on his feet. Ospreay winds up, and SUPERKICKS again! Swerve snarls as that one woke him up! But Ospreay just SUPERKICKS again! Swerve roars, but Ospreay SUPERKICKS again! Swerve drops to a knee, Ospreay takes aim, HIDDEN- NO, Swerve dodges and Ospreay collides with buckles! Swerve hurries after the bad arm! Swerve uses a straight arm lever to put Ospreay up top, and then Swerve climbs up to join him.
The fans rally as Swerve twists the arm, then lifts Ospreay again, SUPER ARM LEVER!! The fans fire up as Swerve rises and Ospreay writhes. Ospreay points to the bad arm, but Swerve goes right after it! SHORT ARM SCISSOR! Ospreay kicks and flails, fights around, rolls, but Swerve rolls with him! Ospreay keeps fighting, but ends up in a TRIANGLE HOLD! Swerve throws elbows and forearms, but Ospreay still fights to his feet! Another deadlift, and he hooks Swerve’s arms!! Swerve slips free, Alabama Lift, DEADEYE?!?! Swerve uses Hangman’s move?!? Cover, TWO!!! The fans are thunderous as Swerve goes to a corner!
Swerve goes up, up, and takes aim! KILL- NO, Ospreay avoids the stomps! HIDDEN BLADE!!! Cover, TWO?!?! Swerve survives and the fans are loving this! The fans rally, Nana shouts at Swerve, and Swerve rises up. Ospreay slowly follows, and the two stare down. “This is Awesome!” as Swerve grins. Ospreay fires a forearm! Swerve fires back! Ospreay and Swerve laugh!? They go forearm for forearm, faster and harder! They stand, and Swerve pats Ospreay on the shoulder. Then he ROCKS Ospreay! But Ospreay feeds off that! The fans boo as the thirty minutes are up, sparing Ospreay from the Kill Stomps on the apron! Swerve is frustrated, Nana grabs a mic, and Swerve says, “Oh my God, I’m in so much pain right now… But what we just showed right here, Swerve Strickland and Will Ospreay, we are the best because AEW is where the best wrestle.” The fans cheer that! Swerve says the only way to prove you’re the best is to finish matches, dammit! Swerve tells Ospreay that they’re both messed up pretty bad, but Swerve knows Ospreay wants to beat Swerve. Swerve says they keep going with sudden death! The fans love that idea, too!
But wait! The Death Riders appear, ready to ruin the fun! Swerve looks around, and here come Wheeler Yuta, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and Jon Moxley. Did they already deal with Hangman Page before coming out here? Are they about to remove all of their enemies in one night? Claudio looms over Ospreay on the outside while Moxley paces. Swerve stands his ground, despite being greatly outnumbered, but then The Young Bucks attack! The fans boo as Matthew & Nicholas knock Swerve down, stomp him around, then sit him up for the E V P TRIGGER!! And they also have handcuffs!?!
Nana drags Swerve to the apron, but Nick SUPERKICKS Nana! The fans boo as now, the Bucks cuff Swerve! A pair for each hand, and they cuff Swerve to the ropes! The Bucks laugh as Swerve is now a prisoner! SUPERKICK! SUPERKICK! And SUPERKICK!! It’s a one-sided Superkick Party, and The Bucks have Yuta pass them his black duffel bag. And from inside the bag, they bring out tack-covered Reeboks! Just like Swerve used on The Bucks at Anarchy in the Arena! Matt says you mess with The Bucks, you end up a dead man! But then OSPREAY gets in to take the DOUBLE SPIKED SUPERKICKS!!!
The fans lose their minds, and even The Bucks are stunned by this! Doc Sampson hurries right into the ring to check on Ospreay, and Swerve is enraged! Portland chants “F THE BUCKS!” while they sheepishly retreat. The Death Riders have also left, the damage done without them lifting a finger. The fans cheer Ospreay on for saving his friendly rival, but is he now out of the fight against the tyranny in AEW?

Renee Paquette is with the AEW Continental Champion and brings up tonight’s contract signing. Set for All In, it will be Kazuchika Okada VS Kenny Omega, Winner Takes All! These two have had some of the most legendary matches in all of professional wrestling, but this will be the first on American soil. Is this version of Okada ready for this version of Omega? Okada says yes, but then Don Callis interrupts. The Jackal apologizes, but to answer this question, he would like to pose his own question: Why is Okada in this match and not Kyle Fletcher? Has Okada had a better 2025 than Kyle Fletcher?
Why is Okada in this match and not Konosuke Takeshita? Has Okada really had a better 2025 than Takeshita? Or maybe Callis should be addressing this line of questioning right at Okada? Why isn’t it Kyle or Konosuke over Okada? This makes Callis sick! Okada takes Callis’ accusatory finger and bends it! But in steps Lance Archer! Then on the other side, it’s Kyle & Konosuke. Callis begs for mercy, Okada lets go, and he calls Callis, “B*tch.” The Rainmaker leaves, is it wise for Callis to get on his bad side? Blake rains down fists, soaks up the heat, then DECKS Mistico! Blake CHOKES Mistico on the ropes, steps off at the ref’s count, and soaks up more heat.
Mistico sits up to feed off the rally, but Blake DECKS him! Mistico goes to a corner, the fans rally more, but Blake brings Mistico up to whip. Mistico handsprings to BACK ELBOW! The fans fire up, Mistico ducks ‘n’ dodges to then RANA! Blake tumbles, staggers to his feet, but again Mistico blocks and CHOPS! Mistico goes up, up, and FLYING ARM-DRAGS! Blake tumbles out of the ring and the fans fire up! Mistico builds speed to DIVE! Direct hit at the ramp with that true tope suicida! The fans fire up for Mistico while both men are down. Mistico rises, feeds off that energy again, and he puts Blake back in the ring.

The fans boo as the ref misses that, and then Blake BOOTS Mistico to the floor! Blake builds speed to FOSBURY TOPE! The fans boo but Blake puts Mistico in the ring! Blake goes up again, springboard and 450 SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Mistico shows why he’s a top tier champion in CMLL, but Blake vows to end this!

Montel Vontavious Porter leads the way for Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin & Maxwell Jacob Friedman while Portland sings, “We Hurt~ People!” The All Mighty has the Scumbag stand down a moment, and MVP has a mic. “Attention AEW viewing audience, this is an official announcement from the Hurt Syndicate. I won’t be addressing you in this specific situation, because MJF has a message for the cabron in the ring!” The fans boo, but MJF says he is talking now, so thanks, Portland.
MVP demands respect for the Young Genius! MJF tells Mistico that his match was impressive. And it isn’t easy to impress MJF since he’s the most complete pro-wrestler in this sport today. So tell you want, “Misty…” The fans keep booing as MJF says he will give Mistico a match next week in Arena Mexico. MJF looks forward to it, too, because he looks forward to ripping “that dime store mask off your stupid face.” The fans boo more, but MJF says Mistico isn’t just getting any man. He is getting a patriot! For one night only, MJF is dusting off his red white ‘n’ blue just for you, Mistico! MJF says God Bless America! God Bless your American Champion!

The flag and the streamers fly, and then MJF has the music stop while he steps into the ring. The streamers make that a bit tricky but MJF steps to Mistico. Mistico stops MJF there, and snatches the mic! The fans cheer, and he tells “MJF, HAHAHAHA! Sabes que, see you next week in Mexico City, en mi casa, Arena Mexico!” MVP has to translate the next part for MJF, and it isn’t very nice. MJF tells Mistico he might think he’s a big deal, but MJF grew up watching him on TV!

The trios sort out and MJF shouts about one in, one out! MJF starts against Dorada, and… Is MJF wearing ring gear a la MVP’s style? The bell rings, but then everyone rushes in and brawls! Lashley is after Speedball, Shelton has Knight, and MJF beats down Dorada! Lashley TOSSES Bailey out, then pursues, and Shelton whips Knight hard into a corner! MJF soaks up the heat with a smug grin and flexing, and Shelton scoop SLAMS Knight on the floor! Lashley THROWS Bailey into railing! MVP joins commentary and says MJF decided to make this a big party. The fans chant “YOU LOOK STUPID!” at MJF and MJF tells them to shut up, no one asked them!

Dorada kicks, whips, but MJF reverses. Dorada handsprings, MJF dodges, but Dorada ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! The fans fire up while MJF flounders, hot tag to Knight! Bailey protests but the ref keeps him back. MJF tags Lashley, Lashley RAMS Dorada into the barriers, then whips him into the steel steps! Dorada flounders, Lashley storms over, and Lashley has Bailey and Knight back up. Lashley puts Dorada in the ring, stomps him, then RAMS Dorada into an open corner. Lashley RAMS Dorada again and again, then fires hands! Lashley reels Dorada in, suplexes, and stalls for a count of TEN before the SLAM! Cover, TWO! Dorada stays in this but Lashley is just amused. Tag to MJF and he runs, runs, and runs… to then just poke Dorada in the eyes! MJF flips off Portland while stepping on Dorada.
MJF drags Dorada up, tags Shelton, and they mug Dorada. Shelton stands Dorada up, Dorada fires hands and forearms, but Shelton fires in return! Shelton whips, then he FLAPJACKS Dorada! Dorada flounders, Shelton covers, Knight breaks it! Shelton is annoyed but he drags Dorada back. Shelton stomps Dorada, tags MJF, and MJF CLAWS Dorada’s back! Tag to Lashley and he stands Dorada for a NECKBREAKER! Lashley flexes, Dorada crawls, but Lashley mocks him. Lashley then BLASTS #JetSpeed off the corner! Lashley puts Dorada in the corner, runs corner to corner, and he RAMS Dorada!
Dorada flops to the mat, Summer Blockbuster returns to single picture, and MJF tags in. MJF runs and shouts out MVP, “BALLIN~!” ELBOW DROP MISSES! MVP plays off that airball like it’s no big deal, but MJF drags Dorada back. MJF swings, Dorada dodges, but MJF grabs Dorada’s hand! Dorada reaches for his team, ROCKS MJF, and repeat! And repeat! MJF then puts up his guard, but that lets Dorada hot tag Knight! Knight rallies on MJF with LARIAT after LARIAT! Knight whips, MJF reverses, but Knight goes up and over! Knight hurdles MJF then DROPKICKS him down! The fans fire up and MVP admits, that was good.
Knight runs, UFO SPLASH! Cover, TWO! MJF stays in this, Knight coordinates with Bailey, and Knight brings MJF up, MJF swings, Knight ducks and waistlocks. Knight pushes MJF to the ropes for Bailey to ROCK! Knight then winds up, but MJF dodges! Hot tag to Lashley, but then both AEW World Tag Team Champions step in! Bailey tags in so he can step up with Knight! They LARIAT, but the champs stay put! JetSpeed then dodges the Hurt Syndicate to DOUBLE SUPERKICK! Lashley & Shelton shrug those off, then block the next try! LARIAT for Bailey, gut wrench for Knight! CLIFFHANGER!

Bailey survives and MJF is seething. MJF tells Portland to shut up but they rally up for “SPEEDBALL! SPEEDBALL!” MJF kicks Bailey around, mocks the crane stance, but then Bailey THRUST KCIKS! Dorada springboards to MISSILE DROPKICIK!
Lashley SPEARS Dorada! Lashley kicks Bailey reels him in, gut wrench and- NO, Bailey slips free and fires off LIGHTNING KICKS! ENZIGIRI! Knight is back, he gets a boost form Bailey, SATELLITE DDT! Not the cleanest, but then Shelton GERMAN SUPLEXES Bailey! Bailey lands out!? Knight is up, Shelton avoids a dropkick, but not the DOUBLE DROPKICK! The Hurt Syndicate regroups outside, and JetSpeed coordinate! Crisscross with the OVER THE CORNER TOPE, and the GOLDEN TRIANGLE MOONSAULT! The fans boo as MJF holds up his trophy, but Mistico is back! LA MYSTICA into the FUJIWARA!! MJF TAPS, the Syndicate realizes what is going on, and they rush back in!
Mistico gets away, having gotten a semblance of revenge for CMLL and himself! Will Mistico humble the Scumbag in front of the people of Mexico? Or will MJF show us that hurting people is a universal language?
Hangman Page heads to the ring!
But now he’s getting jumped by the Death Riders! We saw them stalking him earlier, but only now do they strike! The fans boo as Claudio drags Hangman up to his feet, and we see that he’s been gagged with duct tape, and his hands are tied behind his back! The beating is one-sided, and Claudio even uses a stage speaker to SMASH Hangman in the legs! Then the Death Riders RAM Hangman into the apron! They shove Hangman into the ring, and Moxley takes his time following after his minions. Moxley paces, mic in hand, and he has the mugging stop. “Terribly sorry about all this. It’s just that I wanna make sure that we can have a real conversation. Y’know how distracted you can get.
“Your head’s all over the place. You’re worried about everybody else but yourself. We need you focused. These people need you focused! Because this is your time. All In, the AEW World Championship. For you, this is do or die.” The fans tell Moxley to shut up, but the mugging just continues. Moxley says he’s been watching Hangman, and Hangman is… complicated. Moxley doesn’t understand Hangman he doesn’t like Hangman. The “Millennial Cowboy,” right? For a long time now, Hangman has been searching high and low for something. Moxley doesn’t know what it is, but Hangman has exactly four weeks to find it.
Moxley tells Hangman he has four weeks to step up and become the man everybody here wants you to become. And if he’s not prepared to do that, then he can pack his s*it and get the hell out! Hangman RISING HEADBUTTS Moxley!! Moxley falls, the Death Riders swarm him again, and then Claudio grabs a chair! They put the chair around Hangman’s head! The fans boo but Moxley has Claudio stand down. It seems Moxley still wants All In to happen after all. But then the sound of thunder summons the Opps! Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata & “Powerhouse” Hobbs run The Death Riders off!
The fans fire up as the AEW World Trios Champions have Hangman’s back! Moxley leaves it at this, because his message was sent. But then Hangman grabs a mic to shout, “I have come too far and I am too close for that to be the best that you got! Because I would ride through DEATH ITSELF to take that world championship!!” The fans cheer, and Hangman says if he finds even one Death Rider tonight, eh will take their heads! Hangman grabs that chair Claudio was going to use, and now he’s on the hunt! Will Hangman make sure “The One True King of AEW” loses some pawns on the road to All In: Texas?

Just as Anna Jay was at the mercy of the Megasus & Superbad Girl, or lack thereof, Tay Melo made her return to AEW! Queenslayer and Brazilian Badass are reunited, but will they continue where they left off? Or will they still be made to #BowDown?

AEW takes a look at the history of Okada VS Omega.

After becoming the first gaijin to ever win the renowned G1 Climax, Omega was already on course to a career making showdown. The event? WrestleKingdom 11 at the Tokyo Dome. That match? Game changing.” Okada would win that true instant classic, and promised to make it rain in NJPW so long as he was part of it. “In an epic rematch, the champion, Okada, chose Omega for his challenger.
“Little did he know how far it would push his own limits.” Don Callis was even there to help call the match that determined the future of NJPW, and pro-wrestling as a whole. NJPW Dominion 2017 would end in a ONE HOUR TIME-LIMIT DRAW! And as fate would have it, later that year in the G1 Climax, a final round block match would see these two meet again. The trilogy did not disappoint, and Omega would win. Three classics, 1-1-1 was the record, so the only way to determine who was truly the better man, Okada and Omega agreed to a NO TIME LIMIT, Best 2 Out of 3 Falls, and NJPW Dominion 2018!
After pushing past limits and then some, going to the final fall and well over an hour, it would be Omega’s win to finally become IWGP Heavyweight Champion! “In the wake of their battles, their paths would diverge.” Omega helped found AEW, Okada continued to make it rain in NJPW, “but with any true rival, eventually you find your way back.” Okada decided to be All Elite with The Elite, and now this rivalry will truly solidify itself as legend. “A stadium show for the ages. Kazuchika Okada, Kenny Omega, Rainmaker, Best Bout Machine, one more time!”

AEW returns and Schiavone welcomes us back to the Summer Blockbuster. The table is already set, the belts are already on display, and there’s something underneath a familiar shroud. Schiavone is honored to be here for the Winner Takes All contract signing, Okada VS Omega, live on Saturday, July 12th, part of All In: Texas. This is the most anticipated match in AEW, so first of all, welcome out the Continental Champion, Kazuchika Okada! The fans cheer as The Rainmaker makes his way out to the ring. Schiavone now welcomes out the International Champion, Kenny Omega! The fans cheer again as now the Best Bout Machine gets all that pyro!
Omega high-fives some fans before he joins Okada and Schiavone in the ring. Each champion stands by their belt, and Schiavone again says it is an honor to preside over this contract signing. But before that, this is a winner takes all match. So at All In, the winner will be crowned the first-ever AEW Unified Champion! Schiavone reveals the brand new belt and the fans lose their minds just looking at it! Schiavone says it is time to sign the contract. They’ve both read it over, so Okada may sign first. Okada does just that, then passes the contract over to Omega. Omega takes the mic first to say, “Seven years. Seven years almost to the day, we had our last match.”
Omega says watching that video package, he barely recognized himself. But when it comes to this match, they’ll leave it all in the ring one last time, for everything. Omega then signs his part, and it is official! The two men step up and Omega offers a handshake. Okada considers it, and he takes it! The fans cheer the sportsmanship, and then both men pull the other in close. They talk a bit of trash, but wait! The Don Callis Family makes their way out here? The fans boo as The Jackal steps out on stage, mic in hand. Callis smirks and nods, and he says, “I have something important to say.” The fans also have something to say: “F DON CALLIS!”
Callis tells Portland to be quiet but they just keep going. Callis tells Kenny that he should be ashamed of himself! This match should not be between Omega and Okada! This should be Omega VS Takeshita or Omega VS Kyle! Omega throws off his jacket and tells Callis to cut the crap! He has heard enough! Everyone has! The fans cheer that! Callis says Omega should face Kyle or Takeshita! Omega says yeah, of course, it’s all about Kyle and Takeshita now. But the thing is, Omega’s been there, done that, beaten them, and Callis will not ruin this match! If those guys want their shot at the belt, they have to get in line like everyone else.
But for this match at All In, it is Omega VS Okada! There is not one trick Callis can play to ruin it! Omega knows all of Callis’ tricks, and so do all the fans! Oh, Omega knows all of Callis’ tricks?! Well, kid, you don’t know this one! Okada CLOBBERS Omega with the Continental Championship belt! The fans boo, but it would seem that confrontation was a facade! And now Callis brings out a baton! He hands it to Okada, then he stands Omega up! Okada winds up to SMASH Omega in the stomach! The fans boo as Okada drags Omega up to CLUB him on the back! The fans chant at Okada, “You Sold Out!” Medics rush in and Callis has Okada stand down.
Callis and Okada leave together while a backboard and stretcher are brought out for Omega. Omega doesn’t want to be carried away but his stomach and lower midsection are still a concern after his diverticulitis surgery. But wait, Okada isn’t done! He goes up the corner! Callis is gleeful as Okada hits the MACHO ELBOWÂ while Omega is on the backboard! The fans boo more and the medical team reprimands Okada. Christopher Daniels storms out here and tells them to back off! They’ve done enough, and if they do any more, there will be consequences! Callis threatens Daniels with the baton! Daniels says he may be retired but he can still mess Callis up!
Callis steps outside, and he intimidates the medics and even Michael Nakazawa! And then Okada SHOVES Daniels down! MACHO ELBOW from the apron!! Omega falls off the stretcher and to the floor, and he vomits blood!! The fans lose their minds while Okada just smiles watching the results of his psychotic actions! Okada & Callis finally leave, the medics get Omega out of there, and Alex Marvez catches Callis & Okada as they reach the parking lot. That was absolutely disgusting! What is wrong with them?! Callis says get away from him! They’re gonna get killed in here, they gotta go! Callis & Okada get in Callis’ car and he tells the driver to go!
The car practically peels out of the parking garage and off into the night! Will Callis make Okada the future Unified Continental & International Champion by any means necessary? Or will Omega still be able to go All In?

Anthony Bowens w/ Billy Gunn VS Kyle Fletcher w/ The Don Callis Family!
The Pride of Professional Wrestling called out the Protostar, knowing that they’re each hungry for gold. But will the 5 Tool Player be able to Molly Whop the Don Callis Family’s favorite son? Or will Bowens be shot down by the Aussie Arrow?
The bell rings and the fans fire up already. Bowens and Kyle stare down, and the fans sing, “Oh~ Scissor Me, Daddy~!” Bowens grins as Cole and Billy scissor finger! Kyle and Bowens circle, tie up, and are in a deadlock. They go around, Bowens digs his heels in, but Kyle turns things around to put Bowens in the corner. The ref counts, Kyle rolls back and flexes. The fans are torn but Kyle tells Billy to “SUCK IT!” Bowens has Billy calm down, he can handle this. Billy says that’s Kyle’s one warning. Bowens and Kyle circle, tie up, and Kyle turns things around, only for Bowens to turn things back around. Bowens now rolls back and he scissor fingers!
Kyle runs up, Bowens dodges, and Bowens headlocks. Bowens grinds Kyle down but Kyle powers up and out. Bowens RAMS Kyle, Kyle rebounds to RUN Bowens over! Kyle smirks, runs, but Bowens stays low. Bowens hurdles, but Kyle bypasses the monkey flip, only for Bowens to avoid the Penalty Kick! Bowens rolls Kyle up, TWO! Kyle stands, ducks a shot to whip, and then he drops, hurdles, but Bowens shoves him away! Mule kick! Front kick! Bowens runs, and he slips through the lariat to FLOATING DDT! The fans fire up with Bowens and he stalks Kyle to a corner. Bowens CHOPS Kyle, then has him in the corner.
The fans rally, Bowens whips, and then Bowens SPLASHES in the corner! Wrench and ANGLE SLAM! Cover, TWO! Kyle stays in this but Billy coaches Bowens. Archer tells Kyle to get up but Bowens has Kyle first. But Kyle scoops to SLAM! Kyle hobbles away, Archer makes sure Cole saw that, but Bowens is up. Bowens runs up, Kyle puts him on the apron, and Kyle runs to CALF KICK! Bowens falls to the floor and Kyle grins while the Summer Blockbuster goes picture in picture.
Bowens sputters, Billy checks on him, and Billy warns Archer to stay back. Archer says the same back, but then Kyle goes out to fetch Bowens. Kyle reels Bowens in for an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Bowens writhes, Kyle taunts Billy, and then Kyle grins as he stalks Bowens in the ring. Kyle stomps Bowens around, then stalks him to the ropes. Kyle JUMP STOMPS Bowens down! And JUMP STOMPS again! Kyle drags Bowens up to scoop and SLAM him! Kyle paces while Bowens writhes, then Kyle covers, TWO! Kyle taunts Portland while the Summer Blockbuster returns to single picture. Bowens rises, but Kyle is on him already.
Kyle suplexes but Bowens blocks! Kyle KNEES Bowens again and again, then suplexes again. Bowens slips free, mule kicks, front kicks, and runs to FAMOUSER, only for Kyle to slip out the back! Bowens blocks another suplex to GOURD BUSTER! Bowens runs, and now FAMOUSER! The fans fire up and Bowens covers, TWO! Kyle is tougher than that but Bowens works to refocus. The fans rally as Bowens brings Kyle up. Bowens CHOPS, whips, but Kyle blocks by holding ropes! Bowens BOOTS Kyle for it, then whips, but Kyle reverses to wrench and SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Bowens tumbles out of the ring while Kyle snarls.
Archer laughs at Bowens, but then he and Billy shout at each other. Kyle goes out after Bowens, stares Cole down and Cole says don’t even. But Kyle brings Bowens up, only for Bowens to slip free! And then Electric Chai Lift, and SLAM off the apron! Kyle is dazed and Bowens pushes him in the ring. Bowens LARIATS Kyle inside-out! Cover, TWO! Kyle toughs it out but Bowens drags him to a drop zone. The fans rally as Bowens climbs, but Kyle rises up! GAMANGIRI! Bowens sits back, Kyle shakes out the stars, and Kyle climbs. Kyle drags Bowens to the top rope, but Bowens fights back with body shots! Bowens slips under and mule kicks the legs out!
Kyle is stuck in the ropes and Bowens ENZIGIRIS him! Then DRAPING SIDEWINDER! Cover, TWO!! Kyle survives and Cole is loving this match. The fans rally behind Bowens and he winds up from the corner. MOLLY- NO, Kyle ducks and ROCKS Bowens! Bowens kicks but Kyle blocks to then BOOT Bowens! Kyle runs, but Bowens fires off Rock, Paper, Scissors, SUPERKICK! Kyle sputters and the fans fire up! Bowens tries again, MOLLY- SUPERKICK!! Kyle brings Bowens in and up, LAST RIDE!! Cover, TWO?!?! Bowens survives and even Cole is shocked! Kyle seethes, but the fans rally as Bowens goes to a corner.
Kyle aims, runs corner to corner, GAMANGIRI! And then the suplex, but Bowens knees free! Bowens clinches for the ARRIVAL! Cover, TWO!!! Kyle survives but Bowens still has his best shot to try! MOLLY- NO, Kyle flops and bails out! Archer is there to help Kyle, but the fans boo. Wait, Bowens goes up! Bowens SUPER CROSSBODIES Kyle down!! The fans fire up again and Archer is furious! But Billy steps up to keep the Murderhawk Monster back. The ref tells them both to watch themselves, and the fans rally up. Bowens and Kyle rise as the ring count climbs, but then Archer BOOTS Billy! The fans boo as Archer THROWS Billy into railing!
Bowens and Kyle are in the ring, but Bowens saw what Archer did! That distraction lets Kyle hit the GAMANGIRI! And then the BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, Kyle wins!
Winner: Kyle Fletcher, by pinfall
Bowens let Archer strike out Daddy Ass, and Kyle hits one out of the park! But will Kyle and Cole battle over the TNT Championship soon enough? Will the Don Callis Family keep on winning with the 8 Man Tag later tonight?
Carlos Cabrera is in the ring.
The former AAA commentator, now All Elite, thanks Portland for the reception, and says in just seven days, we will see a wonderful collaboration of AEW and CMLL. The fans cheer that, and Cabrera adds that when we talk about this collaboration, nothing comes to mind better than introducing to us a star that has decades in this business and is still going. His debut was FOUR decades ago, and he is the Idol of Children, for the young love him so much, but so do fans of all ages. In Cabrera’s book, this is one of the best ever, with so many accomplishments and championships in his career. A person who has taken many masks of most importance in lucha libre.
And in Cabrera’s opinion, this person is a real, truly living legend! Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome out Atlantis! The fans cheer as the OG Atlantis makes his way out, accompanied by his son, Atlantis Jr! The Atlantis familia go to the ring to join Cabrera, and Cabrera says this is a huge, historic collaboration. Who better to talk about that than- FTR? Stokely Hathaway, Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood take their interrupting to a new level, and #BigStoke has the mic to ask, “Did I hear the words, ‘living legend?’ Because there’s only two living legends that I know of, and they are standing right next to me!”
Stoke leads the way into the ring as he excuses Cabrera. Stoke says that Atlantis Sr. has that look in his eyes. It is either excitement, or the look of someone so old, they’re about to defecate themselves on national television. The fans boo but FTR laughs. Stoke says he gets it, Atlantis is scared, and he has every single reason to be scared! He will give a synopsis of everything FTR has accomplished the past few weeks. They took out the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express! They took out Nigel McGuinness at Double Or Nothing! And ever since then, they turned Nigel into a “pill popper.” Stoke says yes, Nigel has been popping sleeping pills hoping that he’ll wake up in 2002, the last time he was relevant!
The fans boo more, but Stoke says Daniel Garcia hasn’t been the same since Double Or Nothing! Wanna know why? Because Garcia has contemplated early retirement! And if the rumors are true, that OnlyFans link will drop any day now! And Copeland, where is he? Where’s Cope? When’s he coming back? What’s he up to? Stoke will tell us what Cope is up to: Staring at a wall, his brain sizzling like a fajita plate from Chili’s! What a great list of accomplishments! But there is one more thing that this great team has to accomplishment. They have performed in every single major arena, all except for Arena Mexico.
And FTR doesn’t have a match yet, but what they want, they always get! And it doesn’t matter how they do it! Dax takes the mic to say that obviously, Big Stoke here is a little upset. The fans boo but Dax says relax, give him a minute. Stoke is upset, but Dax is actually rather excited about this partnership. The fans tell FTR to STFU, but Cash shouts, “HE’S TALKING!!” Dax says he likes this partnership of AEW and CMLL! CMLL is the oldest wrestling promotion in the world! Which is funny, because Atlantis Sr. might be the oldest wrestler in the world. But hey, sorry, he’s digressing.
Dax just wants to get to know them. He makes introductions, and he wants to know is if FTR were to wrestle back when Atlantis started in the 1930s, how would they have faired? Dax pulls the usual “Because I think” move, saying FTR would’ve done pretty damn well. Whether it was against Villano, Blue Panther Sr, Santo, FTR would’ve beaten ’em all and made Atlantis their bag boy. Speaking of that, at 62 years old, Atlantis Sr. is still going strong. So Dax’s next question is, at 61 years old, how many Depends does he go through? Father and son have had enough, they start throwing hands! The fans fire up as Senior has Dax while Junior has Cash!
But Cash CLAWS Junior in the eyes, then he attacks Senior! FTR mugs Senior, then Cash goes up! Cole says screw this, and he jumps off commentary to get in there! He fires hands on Dax, then on Cash, and repeat! The fans fire up, but the Don Callis Family rushes out here! Konosuke & Kyle mug Cole, Hechicero joins in, and then FTR stomps away on Atlantis Junior! And on Atlantis Senior! But then Bandido y Templario appear! They DOUBLE SUPERKICK Hechicero! Then they dodge #ProtoShita to BOOSTED SHOTGUN DROPKCIK! TEMPLAROONI! But FTR attack the luchadores! The fans boo as it is chaos, but here comes Brody King!
The fans fire up as the King of Death fires hands on the Don Callis Family and FTR! Bandido TOSSES Cash, Atlantis Senior gets payback on Dax! Bandido helps Templario go up top, then Bandido DIVES! Templario SUPER CROSSBODIES! Dax finds he’s all alone with everybody else! Senior says uno momento, he wants his shot! Dax says bet, and he runs up on Senior! Senior dodges to then SPINEBUSTER! And he rains down fists! Dax scrambles out of there, but Senior still goes after him! Dax runs but can’t get away, Atlantis Senior’s still got that fire! Lexy Nair is with the Redwood & Bad Apple, and says they asked for this time, so what is on their mind? Bill says they promised to crack skulls and stack W’s, and that is what they did to the Gates of Agony. Keith says for just a second in that Street Fight, he didn’t think he was gonna make it. But he appreciates Bill has his back. Bill says he always has BK’s back. But that was only one W. ONE! If there’s another team out there that thinks- Oh, there is a team! JD Drake & Anthony Henry step in! Drake says it’s like they’ve seen a ghost!
Don’t let the fact that the Workhorsemen haven’t been in an AEW ring in over a YEAR lead you to believe that they aren’t two men who are obsessed with success. Fellas, that’s not an option where these two come from. So uh, if Bill & BK wanna have it their way, Drake & Henry are ready to punch in, and knock out! BK says bet! Bill says if they wanna get their skulls cracked, then by all means. CRACK CRACK! Drake says okay, see y’all soon. Toni stops by Mone’s table for one and takes a taste of the mashed potatoes. But that’s when Julia & Skye strike! The fans boo but Mone loves it as Skye rains down fists on Toni! The ref reprimands, drags Skye off Toni, but then Julia attacks! The ref EJECTS Skye and the fans cheer! Julia is furious but the fans cheer on “AUBREY! AUBREY!” The ref tells Julia to back off, Mone is upset that her potatoes are ruined, but Julia says oops, guess the match is over. Toni is in rough shape, Mone mockingly asks if she’s okay, and Toni sits up. The fans cheer Toni on, Mone tells them to shut up, and then she sips her red wine.
Aubrey checks on Toni, Julia waits for the final verdict, and Toni steadies herself. Toni rolls into the ring, refusing to let cheap shots ruin her scene. “Ring the bloody bell already!” The bell indeed rings, and Julia is right on Toni in the corner! Julia fires hands, but Toni turns things around! Julia trips Toni, stomps away, then makes sure Toni is in the drop zone. Julia climbs while Mone applauds, HARTSAULT! Cover, TWO!! Toni survives and Julia snarls. Julia CLUBS away on Toni, the fans rally up, and Julia whips Toni, only for Toni to SHOTGUN! Julia tumbles, Toni runs and HIP ATTACKS Julia to the floor!
The fans fire up and Toni says, “We’ll be right back! Stay tuned, darling!” And just as the leading lady says, the Summer Blockbuster goes picture in picture!
Mone tells Toni to back off, but Toni runs up on Julia. Julia dodges and the hip attack hits steps! Julia grins as she drags Toni up into the ring. Julia dribbles Toni off the mat, then covers, TWO! Toni toughs it out but Julia clamps on with a chinlock. Toni endures, Mone enjoys more of her meal, but Toni fires body shots. Julia CLUBS Toni, wrenches and YANKS the arm, then brings Toni to a corner. Julia climbs up, knuckle locks the hand, and she tightrope walks. Julia goes OLD SCHOOL for the ax handle! Then a SLIDING LARIAT! Cover, TWO! Julia grows frustrated but Mone says that’s the way. The fans rally for Toni while Julia bends her back with a CAMEL CLUTCH!
Toni endures, claws at the mat, and Mone munches asparagus while Toni RAMS Julia into a corner! Toni fires elbows, but Julia bumps her off buckles! Julia fires forearms, then stomps a mudhole in. Julia digs her boot in, the ref counts, and Julia steps off at 4 while AEW goes to break.
The Summer Blockbuster returns and Julia wrenches to RAM shoulders with Toni! And RAMS, and RAMS! Toni falls, Julia stands her up to wrench and bring her back to a corner. Julia climbs, throws more shots, then goes back to the top. Julia tightrope walks again, but Toni says no more Old School as she trips Julia up! Toni shakes the ropes to jam up Hart’s throne! Toni then drags Julia up for a GERMAN SUPLEX! And another GERMAN SUPLEX! And then a SAIDO! Mone frowns but the fans fire up as Toni reels Julia in, FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO! Not quite perfect but the fans rally up all the same!
Toni watches Julia go to a corner, but now Julia needs to be checked. The ref has Toni stay back, Julia stands up, and Toni rushes in! Julia goes up and over to catch Toni into the TARANTULA! Julia was playing possum, but she lets go of Toni at 4. Julia steps in and tilt-o-whirls, IRON OCTOPUS! The fans rally as Toni endures! Toni reaches out, storms her way over, and has the ROPEBREAK! Julia lets go but then HAMMERS away on Toni! Julia runs, but Toni clamps on for a SKY HIGH! Cover, TWO! Julia stays in this but the fans fire up behind Toni. Toni drags Julia up, reels her in, but Julia fights the lift!
Julia wrenches, clinches, S T O! Julia puts Toni back in the drop zone, then climbs up. HARTSAULTÂ but Toni moves! Julia rolls through, Toni runs up, BIG PACKAGE!! TONI WINS!!

Mone rains down fists, there is no mercy from The CEO! The fans boo, but here comes Mina Shirakawa! Mone runs away from #MinaNow, and Mina comforts her friend. But then Mone storms in to go after #MinaNow! Mone HAMMERS away on the former Rev-Pro British Women’s Champion and TOSSES her out!
Mone paces, the fans boo, but Mone grabs the AEW Women’s World Championship. Mone holds up the belt, then tells Toni to kiss the title goodbye. Mone rubs the belt in Toni’s face, will there be no stopping The Money Train?

Lexy Nair is now with the One & Only, and says he has made it abundantly clear that he wants to recruit people to his side to ultimately- Ricochet stops her there and says yes, everyone already knows that Ricochet is searching for the perfect group of individuals to help make his quest for gold a reality. But then in steps Lee Johnson & Blake Christian. Big Shotty tells Ricochet that hey, he and Blake peeped Ricochet being ringside for Lee’s match last week. They know he saw what they can do, and Blake says that maybe, they don’t need something but someone.
Ricochet stops them there, and he says yes, he is searching for the perfect “ultra athletes” to help him navigate through the “unjust waters” of AEW. Honestly, he has been watching them for a long, long time. Recently, a lot of people have been putting Ricochet onto them, showing him their stuff, because they are impressing the right people in the right places. Ricochet says that it is rather embarrassing to see two grown men go out there, week in and week out, playing make-believe Ricochet. And although they were impressive in the ring, there is something they are just missing. AHA~! Ricochet leaves, but will he regret dissing Big Shotty & Vanilla Babyface?

Why not talk about the fact that she is still Kris Statlander! And let’s remember that there is no one else on this roster like Kris Statlander! So why isn’t that good enough!? But then Wheeler Yuta walked in. He wanted her to calm down and asked if she’s alright.
Yuta knows things have been tough since losing Willow, and since losing Best Friends. Things had worked out more or less for her, and things have worked out more or less for Yuta. But he had to make a lot of tough choices to get where he is, so if she ever needs any advice- Kris shrugs Yuta right off, but he says he’ll be here for her. And here’s one for free: Forget about what others think of you, just make your own choices. Kris says yeah, whatever. She pushes past Yuta, but then stares down Marina Shafir. AEW returns and…
Renee Paquette is now outside the medical trainers’ room, hoping for an update on Will Ospreay after he took those spiked Reeboks to the face. But Hangman Page storms up, and he asks how Ospreay’s doing. Renee says she doesn’t know, she- But then The Bucks step in and Matt says he had no idea The Death Riders were gonna do that. Hangman tells The Bucks to tell him in five words or less why he shouldn’t take their heads off! Oh, okay, how about this? They were aiming for Swerve. Y’know, the guy they kept busy for two months so Hangman could have a clear shot at winning The Owen Hart Cup?
Prince Nana pokes his head out from the medical room to hear some of this, but then slips back inside before he’s spotted. Matt tells Hangman that hey, you’re welcome! And don’t forget: All Hangman has to do now is stick the landing. All he has to do now is win the world title and bring it to The Elite. Y’know? The real plan? WHAT real plan!? There is and never has been a “plan” between them! Hangman doesn’t hear from The Bucks in months, never asked for them to do what they did at Dynasty, and sure as s*it didn’t ask them to do anything tonight. Hangman cannot believe he has to tell these two again: Stay out of his business! Stay out of Ospreay’s business!
And for that matter, stay out of Swerve’s business. And if they don’t, if Hangman ever burns down a home again… He’ll make sure they’re trapped in it first. Lexy Nair is with the ROH World Television Champion and his Superbad stepbrother in the Patriarchy. Last week, Christian Cage said something about a surprise Kip had for Nick upon his return from Japan. Is that surprise ready this week? Before Kip can answer, Nick asks where Christian even is tonight. Kip says Christian decided to give Nick some space this week. After all the hard work Nick has put in the last couple of months, he deserves it. Um, okay. Then where is his mom? Christian said he was going to put in some “hard work” with her as well, so- What?! No, that’s besides the point! Tonight is the big surprise!
Tonight, we are here to see Nick’s Best of the Super Juniors highlight reel! The video is cued up, and from his win over THE IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, El Desperado, to the great match with Kevin Knight where he… lost… Well, Nick does like how it looked. Did Kip do all that for him? Yep! Nick says he loves it. Kip says that is what brothers are for! Christian also wanted Nick to know that he really is proud of him. Kip doesn’t know where he’d be without Christian. And we don’t really know where Nick would be without him, either. Kip leaves, and Nick feels like that wasn’t quite a compliment. Summer Blockbuster returns to single picture as Alexander CLUBS Kyle down! Alexander CHOPS Kyle, but Kyle fires as forearm! They go back and forth, then Kyle KICKS! Kyle runs up but Alexander picks him up! Alexander throws Kyle back, blocks a kick, and he CLUBS the leg!
Alexander ROLLING- NO, Kyle ROCKS him first! And then DOUBLE LARIATS bring them both down! The fans fire up and so do the teams! Kyle and Alexander crawl, hot tags to Garcia and Konosuke! Garcia fires hands on Konosuke, then roars as he runs! LARIAT! Konosuke stays up and he shouts back at Garcia! Garcia runs to LARIAT again! Konosuke still eggs Garcia on, Garcia runs again, but Konosuke BOOTS him! Konosuke runs, but Garcia dodges the lariat to LARIAT! Both men are down and the fans fire up! Garcia pounds the mat, runs corner to corner, and LARIATS! Then he climbs up to rain down fists!
The fans count along, and Garcia goes to nine, winds up, and hits TEN! The fans fire up again and Garcia whips corner to corner. Konosuke reverses, runs in, but Garcia BOOTS him! Garcia goes up, reels Konosuke in, and TORNADO SNAP SUPLEXES! But that’s just the start as Garcia rises back up. But Konosuke suplexes now! Garcia fights that, and hits a TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! Cover, TWO! Konosuke survives, Archer warns Garcia, but Garcia has the legs. Garcia steps through, but Konosuke rolls him into a cradle! TWO, and both men stand! Konosuke headlocks, Garcia powers up and out, but Alexander sneaks a tag!
Konosuke reverses the whip, then picks Garcia up for the BLUE THUNDER- NO, Garcia hits a headlock takeover! Garcia floats to have the legs, but the ref tries to tell him Konosuke isn’t legal! Garcia still turns Konosuke over for the DRAGONTAMER, but Alexander BOOTS Garcia down! The fans boo but Alexander soaks up the heat. Alexander drags Garcia up, reels him in and tucks the arms, but Garcia BACKDROPS free! Hot tag to Roddy! DROPKICK for Alexander! JUMP KNEE for Archer! Roddy DECKS Hechi for good measure! Alexander runs up, Roddy catches him for an ANGLE SLAM! Konosuke runs in, Roddy dodges to DROPKICK!
The fans fire up more as Roddy keeps moving, and he WRECKS Hechi with a dropkick! Then he BOOTS and ENZIGIRIS Alexander, fireman’s carries and GUTBUSTER DROPS! Then a SICK KICK!! High stack, TWO!! But into the STRONGHOLD!! Archer runs in, but Kyle intercepts him with a GUILLOTINE FACELOCK! Konosuke runs in, but Cole trips Konosuke, steps through, and has a FIGURE FOUR! Hechi runs in, Garcia intercepts him for a DRAGONTAMER!! QUADRUPLE SUBMISSIONS!! But Archer CLOBBERS Roddy using Kyle! And then he stomps Cole! Garcia jumps on Archer, but Archer SPINEBUSTERS!
The fans rally as Kyle stands and Archer runs up. Kyle DUMPS Archer out, then Roddy joins in! They BLAST Archer off the apron! RPG Vice gets up so Roddy & Kyle BLAST them, too! Kyle goes to the apron, FLYING KNEE takes out Trent, and then Kyle LARIATS Rocky! Roddy calls Kyle in for the high-low! The ref stops Kyle, he’s not legal! Archer grabs Kyle in a SLEEPER! The ref reprimands Archer, but Alexander waistlocks Roddy. Roddy fights free with elbows, but Konosuke sneaks in! ALPHA ELBOW!! Alexander GERMAN SUPLEXES with a bridging cover, DON CALLIS FAMILY WINS!
Winners: Hechicero & The Don Callis Family, by pinfall
The numbers game favors the Don Callis Family, but here’s MORE BREAKING NEWS for Grand Slam: Mexico! After everything else we saw tonight, there will now be a TWELVE MAN TAG! The Don Callis Family will team with FTR against Adam Cole, Daniel Garcia, Brody King, Bandido, Templario and Atlantis Junior! Will the Don Callis Family prove they’re living legends just like Cash & Dax? Or will someone take the #TopGuysOut?
My Thoughts:
A great special for this “Summer Blockbuster,” but… for all the hype they put on it, they didn’t bother booking this as one giant 4 hour show. Instead, it was just like last week’s Fyter Fest: they booked a wild Dynamite followed by a typical Collision. They did keep some throughlines, such as the Hangman-Ospreay-Swerve story, and all this stuff with the Don Callis Family, which were perhaps the strongest parts of the night. Ospreay VS Swerve to open with the planned time limit draw was a good call, especially with The Bucks and Death Riders getting involved, but then having it revealed that The Death Riders captured Hangman in a later segment was a bit weird, maybe even redundant.
Why not have the Death Riders drag Hangman out there while they were about to attack Ospreay and Swerve? They could’ve made Hangman watch as they set Swerve up and then Ospreay “takes the bullet” for Swerve. You could even still have The Opps rush out there to stop it all, giving a better set-up for the Grand Slam 10 Man Tag. And you can even still have Hangman go hunting for Death Riders (not that he found them after that moment), and you still get the promo with Hangman confronting The Bucks and Swerve overhearing it all. That all said, that is a good move, because now Swerve knows Hangman isn’t in cahoots with The Elite, and we’re a step closer to Swerve and Hangman working together.
But speaking of that, I didn’t really like the plot twist of Okada being on Callis’ side with all this. I get that Okada wants to be the Heel in this situation, but couldn’t he be a Heel and oppose Callis at the same time? Though, the sheer shock value of Omega coughing up all that prop blood was wild. As for this “Unified Championship,” someone tell that nerd, TK, that you don’t call it “Winner Takes All” and then claim there will be a unified title. You call it a UNIFICATION match and then do that. “Winner Takes All” would mean that one person is a double champion, defending both belts either together or in double headers.
As far as the belt’s design, the main plate looks great, and TK clearly insists on the picture of a crown being included. The side plates featuring Omega’s One Winged Angel and Okada’s Rainmaker clearly labels this as “The Omega and Okada belt” so what’s even the point of any of this other than to say AEW is punctuating their legendary feud? It’s almost as bad as the overly gigantic “Crown Jewel Championships” the Saudi princes had WWE use. Almost. That said, Omega has to win this Unified title now given how badly Okada beat him up.
The Don Callis Family sure came out on top tonight, though. Kyle VS Bowens was great stuff, great win for Kyle. And then the 8 Man Tag that was the main event of the whole night was also great, with a naturally cheated win by the Callis Family. That confrontation in the middle of Collision with FTR and the Atlantis family was rather wild, and that 12 Man Tag will be great stuff. The Hurt Syndicate of course won their Six Man Tag, but a shame that Komander was legitimately out with injury. The backstage attack shown on socials is a good cover, hopefully it isn’t too serious. And Mistico gets the better of MJF tonight, so chances are, MJF cheats to win in Mexico.
Good promo from Ricochet with Blake & Lee, and I should’ve figured Ricochet’s ego would make him see himself so far above them. Though, to be fair, it is a shame Blake is undefeated in ROH this year, yet jobber to the stars on AEW. I not for the ROH World TV title being in the Patriarchy story with Nick Wayne and Christian Cage, I bet Blake would already be champ. But speaking of, good promo from Nick and Kip to not only plug Nick’s time in NJPW, but to also add a bit more heat to the story. Nick might be able to stomach Christian being so condescending to him, but he’s not about to let Christian hook up with his mom! I suspect we get a Title VS Freedom from The Patriarchy match as part of the blowoff.
Very good “standby match” from Bandido VS Mortos, and I suppose it really was put together to fill time, the ending seemed a little uncertain. Bandido of course wins to stay strong going into both Grand Slam: Mexico, but also into the title story that is brewing with MXM TV. MXM TV VS Conglomeration was also a very good Mixed Six that might’ve also been a “standby” match. But it was a good win for the Conglomeration, and a good segue into Kris Statlander’s promo. Though, maybe it wasn’t timed the best when we saw Kris still watching the Mixed Six. Why not wait to do such a promo tonight? Have Yuta & Marina confront Kris, but also add a bit where Hangman is storming by and the Death Riders run for it? Add intrigue to things where Kris doesn’t tell Hangman where they went!
And great stuff from the Women’s Division tonight. One match in the Dynamite half, two for Collision, and all great stuff. TayJay gets a great win off Megan & Ford, mostly because of Ford being cocky. I would think we build to yet another classic Women’s Tag Team Street Fight, but maybe that concept is overused. Maybe they go a step further and make it a Women’s Tag Cage? Thekla VS Aminata was awesome, a lot more than I expected, but that helped both women here. Thekla is on that debut push, Aminata needs to stay strong while waiting on the Women’s Pure Championship tournament, best of both worlds right here.
Toni VS Julia was really good, what with Skye helping attack beforehand and them playing up that Toni might’ve been unable to continue. I still feel like Toni should’ve been watching while Mone was in a Title Eliminator situation, but I suppose it works since Toni’s gimmick is movies. And it works that Mone’s whole gimmick is not being a fighting champion but a spoiled rich girl. Zeuxis does get her back for calling her out, though, and Mone VS Zeuxis is going to be a great match. I hope for Zeuxis’ sake, she wins next week, as Mone held onto that NJPW Strong Women’s title and still is holding onto the Rev-Pro Women’s title for a long time. Seriously, is Mone going to hold the British title until Forbidden Door: London?
