Can Savannah Evans save her spot with Gisele Shaw? Can the Grizzled Young Vets win the series 2-0 and become the new Tag Champs? Find out!

So we get some No Surrender story implications with Kushida versus Moose, we get GYV vs ABC II, Jake Something confronts Kaz in the ring and Savannah Evans gets her shot to stay with Gisele or go to the chopping block with Jai Vidal.
Even if some of the matches vibe like they’re gonna be gimmicky finishes, we should see some story movement at least.

Jake Something vs Frankie Kazarian
Kaz takes a moment early as he retreats to the ropes when Jake tries to walk at him. Kaz sneaks him, tries a Whip, but Jake holds fast and uses his size and power to take over the match. Thesz Press into an Irish Whip that flings Kaz out of the ring, Kaz looks shocked, collects himself, tries to get back in the ring but Jake Lariats Kaz back to the outside. After a little showmanship, Jake goes to follow up but Kaz shoves him into the steps, then gets to the apron, thumbs the eye and gets Jake chasing into a Guillotine Leg Drop, and Frankie is back in control.
After a quick near fall, Kaz goes for a few chops and Jake asks for more. So the chops are just pissing the big man off, but Kaz works him into the corner, the ref calls for a break and Kaz breaks into the ropes so he can land a cheap shot when the referee turns for space after the “break”. Jake puts the brakes on an Irish Whip again, but when he tries to grab Frankie, Frankie floats over and lays in a few strikes to try and chop the big man down. Jake tries to fire, comes off the ropes but Kaz Scoop Slam into the Springboard Guillotine for 2. Chicken Wing attempt but Jake fights it off. Kaz goes for the Backdrop, Something rolls with it, gets some distance, so when Kaz turns his eats a Discus Forearm and here comes the big man.
Throws a few strikes, tries a Spear into the corner, but Kaz moves and Jake stops himself. Chicken Wing attempt from Kaz, Jake fights it off, turns it into a Michinoku Driver for 2! Jake goes for Into the Void, but Kaz counters into a Chicken Wing attempt, Jake shakes him off, Kaz baits him into the Inside Out DDT for 2. Jake tries the corner Spear again, but Kaz up and over; this time Jake eats the post! Kaz drags Jake to the top turnbuckle, wants the Flux Capacitor, but Jake counters looking for an Avalanche Powerbomb, but Kaz slips it and then picks the ankle as Jake crashes hard off the turnbuckles! Kaz with the Fold Up Cover in the corner, and grabs the ropes for leverage and the 3 count!

Savannah Evans w/Gisele Shaw vs Jordynne Grace
With Gisele looking like she barely wants to be associated with Savannah, Savannah comes out angry and plows through Jordynne. Snap Suplex, Windmill Punches, Spear into the corner and a Butterfly Suplex for 2. Jordynne finally starts to stifle Savannah’s offense with a Back Elbow. Sunset Flip from Jordynne is blocked, but Jordynne turns around and kicks Evans into the corner. Suplex into a Vader Bomb for 2!
Big Boot from Savannah gives her a shot and she climbs the ropes near Gisele to tell her that she’ll handle it, but the distraction allows a big Backfist from Jordynne and the Kinniku Buster for the win!
Gisele hits the ring, lays out Jordynne with the X. Savannah grins and thinks Gisele is still with her, but then Gisele clocks Savannah as well! Denouement and Gisele poses over Jordynne with the X and title.Â
.@Ashamae_Sebera will be making her TNA in-ring debut NEXT WEEK. #TNAiMPACT @MeanGiaMiller @IamGeorgeIceman pic.twitter.com/wYjVqyd6Ps

Best 2 Matches out of 3 for the Tag Team Championships, Match 2 (GYV 1-0): Grizzled Young Vets vs The ABC (c)
Gibson and Bey start, but Gibson wants Ace after they injured him last week. Bey doesn’t want to oblige, so he shakes off everyone chanting for Ace. Gibson tries to run roughshod early, but Bey goes for the redirect on the rope run, into a Thesz Press, rains down a few punches and then tags in Ace for quick tandem moves. After some quick spots, Ace tags back out and Bey tries to keep the momentum going, but Gibson drives him into the GYV corner and tags in Drake.
Bey doesn’t eat too much offense, turns things around on Drake quickly and tags Ace back in. Assisted Russian Leg Sweep, into Click Click Boom for 2. Ace lays in a few Forearms before the GYV plan takes shape and Drake shoves Ace into his corner, distracts the ref and Gibson ties up Ace’s bad arm. Big Running Dropkick from Drake while his arm is restrained and Ace spills out. Drake collects Ace and then stay focused on the bad arm. The Triangle Arm Breaker into a Gibson tag and then he focuses short arm Shoulder Tackles on the bad arm, Ace tries to reach to tag out, and Gibson throws Ace via the bad arm and tag Drake back in.
GYV is having a field day finding different ways to attack the bad arm. Stomps, Key Locks, Double Wristlocks, great job focusing the injury. Assisted Shoulder Breaker after laying out Bey! But only a 2 count! Ace grabs the ropes to avoid Gibson’s offense. In and out Shoulder Block, then a Triangle Kick gives Ace a chance to tag out, but Drake tags himself in and blocks Ace. Ace Scoop Slams Drake with one arm basically, ducks the Lariat and tags in Bey! Hot tag time! Knocks off Gibson, a few quick strikes on Drake, Dives out to Gibson, Enzuigiri on Drake when he tries to use the numbers a bit, Gibson comes in and they start a tandem move but Chris dodges, Brainbuster on Drake after Gibson gets knocked out of the ring. Gibson slides back in but so does Ace, Double Kicks, attempt the 1-2-SWEET but Ace’s arm is too banged up. Gibson pulls him out and shoves him into the steps. Bey tries a Plancha but gets swatted away. DOOMSDAY DEVICE from GYV – but only for 2! Gibson tries to set up something, but a Back Elbow into Art of Finesse for space! Ace crawls to the corner, calls for the tag, and simultaneous tags for Drake and Ace.
Ace fights both men, does well until the Arm Wringer on the bad arm screws him over. They set up Grit Your Teeth, Bey picks Gibson’s leg, Drake gets rolled up by Ace and Ace transitions it into a Japanese Clutch/Prawn Hold for the win!

Digital Media Championship: Rhino vs Crazzy Steve (c)
I’m a little mad that the title isn’t defended on Xplosion because “Digital Media” title. But this is the main show, so I can’t really be TOO angry.
Rhino comes out fast, rocks Steve early and then goes under the ring for a table. You can take the man out of ECW but…yeah, we know how that goes. Steve manages to counter Rhino and then he sees the table; and he puts the table back under the ring. I…don’t think I’ve ever seen that before.
Steve does say “No one gets what they want, except for me”, so he’s playing heel nicely. Simple offense on the outside, Rhino Suplexes Steve on the ramp, throws him back in, and then when Rhino tries to enter the ring and the ole middle rope kick for the Low Blow. Steve goes for his title, the referee stops him, then Steve goes for a corner Senton since that’s where Rhino is propped up and he misses! Shoulder Block into a TKO, for 2! The crowd starts chanting “Gore” but Steve hits a Jawbreaker. As Steve tries to continue he eats a Spinebuster.
Steve pulls out the Abdullah the Butcher fork from his kick pad, so the referee goes to take it from him, Steve throws it across so the ref has to collect it. Steve then uses the title Belt, which was only placed in a corner, to clock Rhino and make the pinfall defense!
Deaner vs Joe Hendry
AJ Francis cuts off Hendry’s music with his own remix diss version. The crowd starts to immediately shit on it though. They chant “boring” and “start the match”. I also never expected to hear an “AJ Sucks” chant in TNA. I do love how Deaner is just in the corner watching all of this, Francis thinks he shocked Hendry but he reveals ANOTHER AJ Francis video! And it’s an AJ Styles “I AM” parody!Â
Deaner just attacks Hendry after the video goes off, Francis hits the ring Chokeslams Hendry and admonishes him while Rich Swann hits the ring, lays out Deaner and has a stare down with Francis.
The match never happened, but the I Am parody was worth it.
Killer Kelly w/Masha Slamovich vs Dani Luna w/Jody Threat
Kelly charges but Dani dodges and hits a few quick Suplexes as Kelly crawls to the ropes to ask Masha what to do. It’s a little deranged in a cute way, when Dani tries to keep up pressure, Kelly trips her into the ropes distracts the ref and Masha gets a cheap shot in. Kelly starts smacking and kicking the hell out of Dani chiding “You like that?”, now I don’t think she’s a Kirk Cousins fan, I just think she’s that beautiful type of sadistic crazy. Kelly definitely pushes the edges of most people’s Hot/Crazy scale.
Dani fights to her feet using her power, slams down Kelly and Kelly reaches to Masha to block a German Suplex, Masha gets pulled up to the apron, Jody breaks up the arms being locked up, Dani pushes Kelly forward, MK Ultra bash heads, Victory Roll from Dani for the win! MK attack Dani and Jody afterwards, but Decay make the save.
Guess we’re heading to that Triple Threat at No Surrender I was figuring on.
Moose vs Kushida
Kushida starts quick, some early arm attacks for the Hoverboard Lock, a big Suicida to leave Moose reeling, but he eventually stops Kushida and uses his size to his advantage. The formula to the match is a little basic, Kushida finds a few opportunities to go after the arm, and pepper in some quick offense; but its never effective or believable enough to slow down Moose. Moose starts his version Garvin Stomps as he tries to shake out the arm Kushida has worked on.
Kushida tries to fight back to his feet and eats the Million Dollar Dropkick, then Moose starts choking him with his boot. They go to the outside, Moose slaps him once and Kushida tries to fire, lands a few Slaps and Kicks to the bad arm before getting Scoop Slammed and Moose just rolls into the ring to recover. Kushida crawls back in around 8, and Moose goes into Full Mount raining down punches, and then he dumps Kushida out again. Moose tries the Jacknife on the outside, Kushida counters it into the ropes and on the apron, locking in a Cross Armbar for a while, breaks the hold, PK to the arm, Back to Back Moonsaults for 2 and then Hoverboard Lock attempt! Moose gets his feet to the ropes, but Kushida pulls him to the middle, Moose fights up, Powerbomb attempt, nope, Tanaka Punch, Nope, Powerbomb again turned into the Yoshi Tonic for 2! Back Handspring Elbow from Kushida, but he misses, Moose hits the ropes, Lights Out! Moose wins!
Overall Score: 6.75/10
This was an amusing episode. Dango’s segment was amazing, Hendry’s “I Am” parody was gorgeous (Francis’ parody remix wasn’t bad either) and Mustafa may have found a gimmick that can support his lack of charisma. Some solid matches, a bit of build, and the gimmicked matches led to something. Something losing to a dirty pin doesn’t hurt him and just helps Kaz’s heel turn, Savannah getting destroyed puts a nail in the SHAWntourange coffin, Steve using a bunch of cheap tactics prolly lengthens the Rhino angle and Dani getting a surprising win over Kelly most likely sets up a Triple Threat for the Knockouts Tags.
While it points were forgettable, and the whole Ash by Elegance thing was terrible…like it came off like cringe soap opera trash. So I need this to take a big turn real quick or this will just be another “TNA gonna TNA” staple moment. But hey, we will get a decisive third match for the Tag Team Championships, and ABC vs GYV have been solid matches, so you can only expect more of the same from the decider.
Decent enough show with a lot of moving pieces.

The first episode under the new regime, let’s see how bad it is.

Well this is the first episode with the new regime, and I’m not looking forward to it. I’m expecting a car crash, because Delirious is worthless, Dreamer is hit or miss at the best, and no one else has a proven track record at having a brain. So I expect pure garbage.
Let’s see if I get surprised!
.@MeanGiaMiller caught up with TNA Knockouts Champion @mashaslamovich, @XiaBrookside, and @TheLeiYingLee ahead of TONIGHT’s massive main event against Tessa Blanchard, #WWENXT’s @jacyjaynewwe, and Jazmyn Nyx!

Results:
We lead off with Joe Hendry music because he’s on commentary during the Elijah versus Kaz match.
#1 Contender Match: Elijah vs Frankie Kazarian
We start off with Kaz sticking and moving to dodge Elijah, but he eventually catches him and goes to the Rope Walk quickly and pulls it off. Elijah tries to go into a Piledriver or something but Kaz slips it and pulls down Elijah with the slip. They go to the outside, Kaz throws Elijah into the post, then slaps Hendry, shoving match starts, Kaz charges and Hendry lifts but Kaz slips out the back and shoves Hendry into Elijah…the ref lets it slide. So Kaz throws in Elijah and a quick cradle gives Kaz the opportunistic win.
Post Match Hendry just goes crazy on Kaz, security pull apart spot, even Elijah pulls off Hendry and calms him down. Elijah playing the long game, not even arguing that Hendry cost him. The match didn’t have enough substance to rate, it was purely a plot device and a little convoluted.Â
Backstage segment of Hendry with the Doctor, Hendry apparently messed up his shoulder in the scuffle…so…that’s something.Â
System Ultimatum time is next. The crowd is booing the hell out of Eddie, and it’s a real reaction not go away heat or anything, Eddie plays in it well enough. Lish leads the way and wants to do the Planteer pose, but the rest just walk past her and she seems annoyed, while these others seem somber. This was going the way we expected with everyone sticking around. We finally get to Moose and doofus Deaner’s music hits. Deaner tries to get the crowd to rally around Moose resigning from The System. Moose says the People are right, but then beats the hell out of Deaner. They do the Planeteer pose over the corpse of Deaner. Hopefully we never see that dork again, just let him go be a jobber in Maple Leaf Pro.Â
Spitfire vs Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend
Jakara starts with Dani, a quick tie up, but Jakara strikes out of it, Arm Drag sends Dani flying, but Dani stops Jakara’s next attempts at offense, tags in Jody and a tandem moment rocks Jakara. Jody tags back out and Lash tags in, so it’s power and booty versus power and booty. Shoulder Tackle spot and Lash gets the best of it, Dani holds on to the ropes to stop the Whip recoil, Jody with the blind tag, they try to team up but Lash fights out of both. Jody goes Spider Monkey and tries to choke out Lash but Lash just walks her back to Jakara and tags out. Jakara is rolling until Jody holds the ropes and watches Jakara crash and burn on a Dropkick. Probably the best I’ve seen that spot in a long time. Dani tags in, they try the Scoop Slam tandem attack on Jakara, but Jakara moves and Dani just slams Jody into the mat.
Lash gets tagged in and starts to maul Dani. A little rotating offense keeping Dani isolated. Dani tries to find an opening but she’s eating move after move, they go for the Tandem Wheelbarrow Slam, but Dani gets the knees up. Dani finally gets a chance to tag out, Jody starts working over both Lash and Jakara. Stacks them in the corner to do her 10 Count Lariats, Exploder Suplex into rope hung Double Knees. Jody wants the German but Lash tries to stop it. Jody fights off Lash, manages a Stalling Jackhammer on Jakara, but Lash does manage to break up the pin. All four are in the ring, Dani gets tosses, Straight Right from Lash clocks Jody. Jakara flies to wipe out Dani, they look for the M-KO but Jody fights it off. Jody throwing Chops on both, it starts to look stupid, Jody tries to fire and Lash wants to clock her with the Forearm during the stall but hits Jakara.
Crossbody from Jody, Lash catches her, M-KO. Meta Girls win.
Oh great more talking, now the Hardyz are out to talk and Matt gives a decent but basic promo that goes into a bit of Broken just for the cheap pop. Jeff pokes fun at the “best brother tag team” joke from last week. If they weren’t The Hardyz the crowd wouldn’t care. Oh speaking of not caring, the Great Hands and snackalicious Tasha Steelz interrupt. Great Hands want to fight, Hardyz are okay with it of course, then Santino comes out. He says after the commercial Great Hams vs Hard Boys is on!Â
Hardy Boyz vs Great Hands w/Tasha Steelz
Hotch is getting worked over by both Hardys, a little classic tandem offense, an early pinfall, but Hotch claws the eyes and tags in Skyler. Skyler’s advantage last like 12 seconds, he tags Jeff, Rocket Launcher into the middle rope with a Leg Drop from Jeff. Jeff tries to Whisper in the Wind in the opposition corner like a dumbass, so Hotch crotches him, the Hands do the double crotch stomp as Jeff is in the Tree of Woe. Assisted offense, they try to perch Jeff, but Jeff fights them off and pulls off the best Whisper in a minute. Matt gets the hot tag, Scoop Slams, Delete Headsmashes, and a Side Effect on Hotch for fun. Matt wants the Twist on Skyler, Skyler counters, Jeff tags in, Poetry in Motion, Side Effect on Skyler and only a near fall.
Twist of Hate attempt, Hotch breaks it up, Matt takes out Hotch, Skyler almost pulls off the Flash upset with the Cradle. Plot Twist, Swanton, and Jeff wins.
Ryan Nemeth is in the back watching the match, has a few snarky things to say while wearing an LA Sparks jersey, Leon Slater and his lack of charisma in Birmingham accent shows up. Hates the WNBA obviously since he tries to push Ryan out of camera frame, and then they’ll prolly have a match at some point. At least Ryan has a gimmick that’s been amusing, but God is Leon Slater useless.Â
THEY HAVE AN INJURY REPORT SEGMENT – that’s soo damn corny. Never do this again, this is dumb as hell.Â
Oh great, more talking…SDL and Mance Warner. Where’s Keenan when I need someone to scream “WHY!?!”
This promo is complete shit, they even invent a bad magazine called TNA Weekly for this dumb thing. I hate this, and not in the “I wanna see them get beat up good heel work way”, I hate them because they’re useless, uninteresting and just saying dumb crap. When Santino comes out and effectively calls them stupid and cringe…that’s kind of a problem when the comedy character calls you dumb. THEY ARE REBRANDING THE BELT AGAIN! International Championship…ugh. Sami comes out to beat up Mance while Santino tries to wrestle the belt away from Steph. This is just cringe.Â
.@MustafaAli_X unleashed a vicious verbal assault on Derek, dragging his past addiction into the spotlight—making his war with @Santana_Proud even more personal.

Mustafa Ali is doing great work. I’m a little mad this promo was buried in this awful episode.Â
Tessa Blanchard, Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx w/Fallon Henley vs Lei Ying Lee, Xia Brookside & Masha Slamovich
Tessa and Masha start, Masha shoots the half, rains down fists, Tessa kicks her off but Masha keeps up the aggression and forces Tessa to powder. Fatal Influence tries to come in, Xia and Lei dispatch them, Dual Baseball Slide take out the NXT girls, and a Middle Rope Plancha from Masha takes out Tessa as we go to commercial.
Back from commercial Lei Ying has Jacy in a grounded Arm Bar. A little hair pull makes Lei stand up, but she drops Jacy flat after a Round Kick, Low Sweep and then a Running Knee as she’s getting back up. A corner Down Strike has Lei rolling, but a blind tag from Jazmyn catches Lei by surprise and then she gets trapped in the heel corner. The Fatal Influence gals rotate in and out, all 3 take cheap shots, PK into a Senton for a near fall. Lei finally fights off the onslaught and gets Xia in. Xia is very fiery and angry, and now Jazmyn is getting her ass beat. Rosemary is in the audience to distract Xia a little but Xia still connects with Broken Wings and a near fall. Xia gets tripped up on the apron, Jacy gets tagged in and a PK drops Xia on the outside. Hard Irish Whip back in the ring and Cannonball from Jacy has Xia down and out. Jazmyn tags back in, and Xia tries to fire up, Monkey Flip but pulled away by Jacy, Xia tags out, Masha takes out both Fatal Influence members, goes for a pinfall but Tessa runs in with a head of steam to break the pinfall. All six are in for Signature spam spot. Spinning Heel kick from Masha, Fallon distracts on the outside, and Tessa takes advantage of all the chaos, Buzzsaw DDT and Tessa gets the pinfall victory.
Ethan Page interrupts Kaz’s promo at the end of the show. Claiming he should have the title shot since he pinned Joe in NXT. So the Rebellion match is Ethan Page versus Joe Hendry.Â
Overall Score: 1/10
The one point is for Mustafa’s promo and the main even being decent. But this was awful. Too much talking, an “Injury Report” like this is a real situation and not scripted, which is insulting, and YET AGAIN, a new name for the lower card title. Jesus Christ, stop renaming the damn belt. Legends/TV/King of the Mountain/Grand/Digital Media/International… just stop it. Stick to a name or stop doing a lower card belt. Also really lame that they keep trying to push Cardona as something important.
Kaz and Elijah’s thing is a stupid angle, The System firing was a giant cock tease and who the hell gives Eddie the power to call everyone to task? Mance and SDL are the worst thing on this show after Deaner’s existence. SDL has been a plague on TNA programming since wasting time with her “needs neck surgery” promo instead of a match. I do truly feel bad for Mustafa Ali’s promo being stuck on this pile of crap.
This was an episode that should’ve been an e-mail. Garbage effort, garbage stories, just straight up a waste of two hours. Even with the Ethan Page appearance, this episode was still worthless. Is it sad to say, I expected nothing and am still disappointed by this episode? Ugh… LOLTNA…

The Premier Athletes w/ Mark Sterling VS The Outrunners!
Speaking of last week, Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari are feeling good after they won, but it was largely in part thanks to The Dark Order. “Smart” Mark has the mic to stop Bobby Cruise, he takes care of this. Everyone knows Daivari & Nese, “and folks, statistically, Milwaukee is actually the capital of deadbeat dads. But that’s okay, because we hate your kids, too. But tonight, they can for the first time ever, be part of a real winning family. And you can be part of our team. So when I say ‘Athletes,’ you say, ‘Rule.’ NOTHING ELSE. Hands in, boys. Ohhhh…! ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Milwaukee gets the better of Sterling, this is quite the losing streak.
But then Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd make their entrance, and the fans here in The Good Land fire up! Will The Youngest Men Alive keep their ROH win streak alive? Or will Nese & Daivari find a way to go back to back for once?
The teams sort out, Truth and Daivari start, and the Code of Honor is barely upheld. The bell rings, the two circle, and the fans rally up. Sterling runs away, but ends up in the ring! Nese uses that to DROPKICK Truth! Nese tags Daivari, they mug Truth, but the ref reprimands. Winner: Lee Moriarty, by submission (still ROH Pure Division)
Fox couldn’t help but fall for the trap! Lee continues to be an evil genius, will he continue to paint technical masterpieces until he’s the greatest ROH Pure Champion of all time?
My Thoughts:
A very good ROH that clocked in at just under an hour, and with that there was less filler. Gates of Agony still got a great match out of Deonn Rusman & Cal Bloom (Cal formerly known as Von Wagner), which was also surprising but also great because the GOA get to not just do squash matches. They’re showing their skills by having these longer matches, but I feel like they should be doing that with established teams as well. Like, I appreciate the Outrunners got a win, but if Premier Athletes were going to lose again, feed them to Kaun & Liona so Kaun & Liona can move up the tag ranks.
Very good tag match from Sons of Texas VS Frat House, and very good match of Dark Order VS Infantry. I like that we’re building the feud of Frat House VS Dark Order where they’re costing each other their matches. I can only hope John Silver returns soon, and maybe even brings someone else with him so that we get a proper 4v4 before the end of this. One option would be Stu Grayson having one more match, another would be if they could get Alan Angels, and thirdly is of course recruiting someone brand new.
And very good Pure Championship match, but of course Lee Moriarty won again. It’s always an interesting move when they bring someone who hasn’t had a Pure Rules match into the Pure Rules title scene, but also surprising that Fox held his own for as long as he did. Supercard of Honor is May, who knows if they build someone up for Lee by then, and even then, no idea if they’d win. Honestly, a lot of TK’s energy seems to be focused on pretty much anything other than titles like the ROH Pure Championship. I’m not sure where Red Velvet went, either, she should be building towards a feud for the ROH Women’s World TV title. Problem is, they let Leyla Hirsch go so there goes that feud… But TK’s booking problems is a subject we could go on and on about in other articles.
My Score: 8.7/10
