Before the match, a video promo from Santos plays. “Rey, I truly hoped that after I broke your leg, that would be enough to keep you away for good. Retired. A clean way out. You betrayed me. You knew what mattered to me, and you took it anyways. But because you once were my hero, I took pity on you. But here you are. You have left me with no other choice. Bayley finds Naomi backstage.
The Role Model says hey, sister and Naomi says hey! Bayley thanks Naomi for helping her out last week. It has been hard finding friends after all that happened so Bayley appreciates Naomi being there. Naomi says Bayley doesn’t have to thank her, she knows Naomi’s got her back. And Naomi is just trying to do the right thing. But her anger is towards Iyo after what she did. She’ll feel all this glow tonight. Good! Bayley didn’t wanna drag anyone else into this but- Bianca Belair interrupts with, “Seriously? Seriously? So, you didn’t mean it when it was Naomi, but I bet you meant it every single time I got attacked, by you and Damage Control, for the past two years.”
See, Bayley isn’t sorry, she’s just sorry that it’s all catching up to her. Bianca will tell Bayley this: everything that’s coming her way, she deserves. And maybe this time, Bayley will realize that her actions have consequences. Does Bianca think Bayley doesn’t know all that? Bayley was there. She has lived through this, is still living through it, is dealing with it- Yeah and you’re getting Naomi involved in it! They argue, Naomi stops them and has Bianca leave so the two of them can talk. Bianca is the maddEST right now, but can Naomi get her to see things in a different light?
Cody Rhodes signs autographs.
The American Nightmare is meeting fans and killing time before his encounter with The Tribal Chief, but we see Naomi and Bianca arguing while on the move. Bianca says she told Naomi not to get caught up in the DMG CTRL stuff, she’s about to go through what Bianca did for two YEARS. Naomi wasn’t here, she doesn’t get it! Naomi tells Bianca to listen. Bianca’s feelings are valid, and so are all the things she’s saying. But Naomi can’t do anything about the past. If she could fix it, she would. Bianca knows Naomi has her back, but Naomi doesn’t back down and will do what needs to be done. And she can’t do it alone, DMG CTRL will pick them off one by one.
Just like Bianca couldn’t do it alone. Naomi heads out, will Bianca be by her side when it’s time to take on DMG CTRL?

Naomi VS Iyo Sky w/ Damage CTRL!
The Role Model is grateful while The EST is skeptical, but Naomi herself knows she’s gotta handle business. Will she make the Evil Genius #FeelTheGlow? Or will the WWE Women’s Champion be rolling into her WrestleMania match with Bayley?
DMG CTRL makes their entrance, but where is Iyo? Asuka and Kairi are dancing all around, and wait! Iyo is beating up on Bayley!? Iyo stomps her, throws her into walls, but refs and producers rush up to shout at Iyo to go to gorilla! Iyo storms off and Naomi is even angrier than she was before! Now Iyo makes her entrance, all of DMG CTRL cheering but all of Milwaukee booing. The bell rings and Naomi runs up to fire off forearms! Iyo throws body shots but Naomi RAMS Iyo into a corner! Iyo digs her knee into Naomi, lets off as the ref counts, then stalks Naomi along ropes. Iyo facelocks then headlocks, then she CHOKES Naomi on the ropes! The ref counts, Iyo lets off, and she grins while Naomi sputters. Iyo scuffs Naomi, kicks her again, but Naomi throws body shots!
Iyo whips Naomi to a corner, Naomi goes up and up and FLYING ENZIGIRIS! The fans fire up for Naomi while she catches her breath. Naomi runs up to DROPKICK! Iyo staggers back up, Naomi feels the fans’ energy, and she runs to slingshot and BULLDOG! Cover, TWO! Iyo stays tough but Naomi stays cool as SmackDown goes to break.

Naomi runs side to side to BULLDOG in the corner! Naomi then climbs up and leaps, CROSSBODY! The fans fire up while Iyo tumbles away! Naomi gets them going for “GLOW! GLOW! GLOW!” Naomi runs corner to corner to HYDRAULIC DROPKICK! Naomi adds an ELBOW, a SLIDING KICK, then a BASEMENT BOOT! Naomi goes up and up and twerks a little, before the SUPER HIP DROP! Cover, ROPEBREAK!
Iyo survives and goes to the apron but Naomi drags her up again. Iyo HOTSHOTS this time! Naomi staggers back, Iyo springboards in, MISSILE DROPKICK! Naomi ends up in a corner, Iyo runs in, SHINKANSEN! Iyo says iku zo, and she climbs up top! But Naomi rises first! ENZIGIRI! Iyo wobbles, Naomi goes up after her! SUPERPLEX! Roll to the cover, TWO!! Iyo survives again but Naomi keeps her cool. The fans rally, Naomi storms up on Iyo but Iyo fires a forearm! Naomi gives it back, they go back and forth and the fans fire up! Iyo KICKS, Naomi KICKS! Iyo flops over, Naomi drags her up to waistlock!
Iyo fights the lift with elbows, then runs, but into a FOREARM! Naomi runs, but Iyo follows to wheelbarrow and victory roll, STOMP 182! The fans boo but Iyo stands tall. Iyo fires up while Naomi goes to ropes. Iyo runs side to side but Naomi TOSSES her to the apron! Naomi KICKS Iyo in the ropes, then gives her a HEATSEEKER! Naomi hurries to the corner, but then DMG CTRL rushes up! The ref stops them but that distraction lets Iyo YANK Naomi down! The Evil Genius steps on Naomi, goes up and up and OVER THE MOONSAULT! Cover, Iyo wins!
Winner: Iyo Sky, by pinfall
They kept it clean until they were afraid Iyo would lose, and DMG CTRL takes this win away from Naomi! Then they swarm and stomp away on Naomi! The fans boo but Naomi fights back, even though it’s 4v1! BLUE MIST from Asuka!! Naomi falls, clutching her eyes! She swings blindly in hopes of hitting anyone but then here comes Bianca! The EST is fighting to help Naomi, not Bayley, as she ROCKS and RAMS Dakota! Bianca DECKS Iyo, DECKS Asuka, and SPINEBUSTERS Kairi! Bianca rains fists on Asuka but Kairi drags her back by her ponytail! Bianca reels Kairi in for the chicken wings! GlamEST Slam!!
The fans are thunderous as Bianca is all fired up! Bianca torture racks Kairi but Dakota CHOP BLOCKS her! The numbers are still in DMG CTRL’s favor, and Iyo SHOTGUNS Bianca down! The fans rally for Bayley but is she in any shape to fight after Iyo got her? Seems not, as DMG CTRL stomps away on Bianca & Naomi 4v2. Iyo holds up her title, the Kabuki Warriors show off theirs, will nothing stop DMG CTRL from having control of the Women’s Division?
Cody Rhodes talks with Nick Aldis backstage.
We can’t hear what they’re saying but it surely has to do with the face to face tonight. And we can see that Paul Heyman is lurking in the background, reporting things back to his Tribal Chief. Will the promise really be kept? Will it really just be Cody, Roman and Heyman meeting in the ring tonight?
Jade Cargill speaks.
“Let’s make things clear. I didn’t come here to be the next anyone. Jade Cargill is a once in a lifetime, generational talent. The type of presence that makes everyone stand up straight when I enter. I don’t even have to speak, and yet I’m the trending topic. I am the headline. They’re gonna build statues of me, and you don’t have to like it. But you damn sure can’t deny it. And that’s why I’m taking my talents to SmackDown.” The storm is coming, and her first official appearance as a blue brand superstar is next week!
Bianca and Naomi regroup backstage.
Bianca helps flush out the blue mist from Naomi’s eyes, trainers hurry to get towels, and Tiffany Stratton has to walk in and mockingly saw, “Aww… Y’know, this is actually a good look for you, Naomi. Tootles.” Bianca wants to rip into Tiff but she has to help Naomi first. Will The EST make some time for Tiffy Time soon enough?
Kevin Owens talks with Nick Aldis.
The Prizefighter is a bit upset how Randy Orton was on Logan Paul’s podcast of all things. Why couldn’t Aldis have told him sooner? Aldis was trying to figure out a time, but there’s nothing they can do, Logan Paul is now a sponsor of WrestleMania. But then Pretty Deadly walk in and they want to talk with Aldis about one word: Conspiracy! Con-spi-racy~! They feel someone is against them making it to WrestleMania! Kevin says hey, hey, guys, they were talking. Oh blah blah blah. This isn’t about the match Kevin has, it’s about the one they don’t! A great tag team, by the way, that Kevin knows nothing about!
What? Kevin doesn’t know tag teams? He won the Undisputed Tag Titles last year, at WrestleMania! And the last time he was in this arena, he punched two people at the same time! So if there’s anyone who knows something about tag teams, it’s him! Pretty Deadly don’t care, that’s Kevin living in the past. Get over it! Oh, living in the past? Then how about the future? Next week on SmackDown, Pretty Deadly takes on Kevin and his partner. Partner? Who? The friend he doesn’t have? Well, Kevin has an acquaintance, and they made for a really good tag team not too long ago. Y’know what, Kevin will ask that guy to be his partner.
Kevin looks past Pretty Deadly to ask the guy if he wants to team with Kevin next week. It’s Randy Orton! Pretty Deadly is startled and Orton has them calm down. This jacket is nice, his dad used to sport the exact same kind. Oh, okay, so maybe they’ll be friends? Orton looks to Kevin and says tag match next week? Yeah, Orton would love to team with him! Yes! Perfect! See you next week, boys! Wanna hang out with The Bucks? Yeah, sure, let’s go check with them. Pretty Deadly is upset but Aldis says it’s official. And don’t be that close together. Why? DOUBLE PUNCH! Kevin says he did it again! Will Kit Wilson & Elton Prince survive #RKKO?
WWE Media visited AJ Styles’ home.
The Phenomenal One was preparing for his WrestleMania match with LA Knight. He missed the event last year, so- Wait, who is that honking their car horn outside? Styles goes to look, shouts at the car, but it’s LA Knight! Knight says it would be on sight so here he is! Knight runs up to TACKLE Styles! They brawl on the lawn, the footage gets a bit fuzzy, so WWE borrows some police footage. The officers hurry to break this up, Mrs. Styles shouts for them to haul Knight away, and she helps Styles back into the house. But then Styles runs up to SLAP Knight! The officers tell Styles to back off or he’ll be arrested, too.
Knight says he told Styles he was gonna find him, but Styles says Knight better enjoy his night in jail! Knight promises to find Styles wherever they go, and Styles says he’ll end Knight’s career! Knight was later released as Styles chose not to press charges, but will he bring down the hammer on Knight at WrestleMania?

We know Waller & Theory are waiting in the next round, it is time to wrap things up! Will Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins take the pen from the Final Testament? Or will Akam & Rezar be the ones punctuating this tag team tournament?
SmackDown returns as the Final Testament makes their entrance. The teams sort out and Dawkins runs up to ROCK Rezar, DECK Akam, then fire off on Rezar! The fans fire up with The Profits and Ford runs to FLY! But AOP catch him!? Ford freaks out, and The AOP BOMBS Ford into Dawkins! The Profits are down, and SmackDown goes to break!
SmackDown returns again and Rezar knocks Ford down. Cover, TWO, and Rezar hammers away on Ford! The fans boo but Rezar talks trash. Rezar drags Ford up, clinches and whips, and Ford hits buckles hard! Rezar DECKS Dawkins for good measure! Dawkins hurries up but the ref stops him, and that lets AOP mug Ford! Akam lets off in time, and Rezar brings Ford up. Tag to Akam, AOP mugs Ford more, but the fans continue to rally for the Profits. Akam KNEES Ford down, brings him around, and tags Rezar back in. Winners: The Street Profits, by pinfall (advance to the next round)
The fans are thunderous as The Profits snatch away the victory! The plot twist was in their favor, but will this lead them to Philadelphia and the tag team championships?
Paul Heyman talks on the phone.
He is telling The Tribal Chief that with his very own ears, The Wise Man heard that Cody Rhodes is here by himself. “My Tribal Chief, your public awaits.” The face to face is just moments away, have both sides kept their word? Or does someone have an ace up their sleeve?
The Tribal Chief steps out of the car.
Roman Reigns walks his way over and Paul Heyman directs him to gorilla. The Universal Champion is on his way, and so far, there’s no sign of the Bloodline.
Roman Reigns makes his entrance!
The fans are torn but plenty put up the ones as the Tribal Chief steps on stage. This is day 1,300 as the pyro goes off, and there’s still 16 days until Roman defends the title against The American Nightmare. Roman steps into the ring and raises the belt for the second round of pyro. Heyman then holds onto the belt for Roman while the fans already chant for “CODY! CODY!” Roman paces around the ring, then sighs and takes the mic from Heyman. The fans boo but Roman says, “The Wise Man made a promise. And the Tribal Chief has kept his word. And that’s what I am, I’m a man of my word. I’m here alone, no Bloodline.
“Well, other than The Wise Man, but he’s no physical threat, you see? So, I say we bring Cody on out here to join you, Milwaukee. That’s right, he’s going to join you, because it’s time to ACKNOWLEDGE ME!” The fans are torn but then we see Cody making his way to gorilla. He will make his entrance, after the break.
SmackDown returns and Cody finally makes his entrance. The fans sing along with Cody’s song, “WHOA~ OH~!” and Cody gets his pyro. Roman and Heyman aren’t impressed, they’ve seen it before. Cody high-fives fans in the front row and makes his way into the ring, “WHOA~ OH~!” for more pyro. The fans chant for “CODY! CODY!” again and he takes a moment to enjoy it while he gets the mic. Cody then stares Roman and Heyman down. Roman says here’s Cody, and they’ve kept their word. Roman is here by himself. How about Cody? Cody says he is as much a man of his word as Roman is, so if Roman came alone, then Cody came alone.
Roman says Heyman said he’d do that, and believed it, too. Then Cody is a fool. Cody is stupid! Hear Roman out. From Roman’s perspective, Cody isn’t fit for this job. Cody isn’t fit to be on top, fit to be the face of this company, because Cody is an idiot! Cody’s out here thinking with his heart, that people have the best intentions for him, but nobody cares. Cody needs to think with his head. Just look what he’s done the past month or so. He’s aligned himself with “little brother” Seth Rollins. There’s all kinds of problems with that, but what happened Monday? Wasn’t Cody in a bit of a jam? Where was Rollins?
Was Rollins in traffic? A plane delay? Snow? What? Because it seemed like Rollins was showing his true colors. And Rollins said something like he was gonna be Cody’s “shield.” Oof. You understand Roman was in The Shield with Rollins, right? They didn’t always do good guy things, but they had a bond. And then over time, Roman thought they were becoming family, that they really were brothers, and then what happened? Rollins stabbed Roman in the back. What does Cody think is gonna happen to him? That’s why Cody is a fool, plain and simple. Cody smirks and asks Roman if he really just asked if Cody remembered The Shield.
Cody’s pretty sure we all remember The Shield. They were unstoppable! They were undefeated! But Cody will ask this: Who was the first team that did beat The Shield? Fans like where Cody’s going because Roman is struggling to remember. Cody gives him a hint: their last name was “Rhodes.” Roman chuckles but Cody says he appreciates the “education” and “venom-laced wisdom” Roman’s dropping on us. Cody isn’t sure, but yes, he has his bullet cufflinks, so he is not unfamiliar with factions, betrayal, all that good stuff while he was off “doing nothing.” Quick jab at Roman’s Pat McAfee Show appearance.
But this isn’t a faction we’re talking about now. The Bloodline is just like Roman’s new merch says: family above all. So can Cody trust Seth Freakin’ Rollins? The fans cheer that he can but Cody didn’t ever think to do that! Milwaukee, can Cody trust Rollins? The fans cheer that yes he can! Cody then says Seth Rollins might hate Cody’s guts, and maybe Roman is right. But Cody knows one thing: Rollins hates Roman even more. And Cody will see Roman’s situation and raise him another: Can Roman his tag team partner at WrestleMania? Can Roman Reigns trust The Rock? Cody thinks we’re all perhaps a little confused.
But in the pantheon that is The Bloodline, who is really in charge? Is it The Tribal Chief? Or is it The Final Boss? Roman smirks and paces while the fans chant, “ROCKY SUCKS! ROCKY SUCKS!” Roman says that’s old news. Didn’t Cody say that to The Rock the other way around? Is that all Cody’s got? This is what Roman’s talking about here. “Spoken and spun like a true politician.” What are we doing? Running for office? Anyone got a baby that needs to be kissed? Cody will pull them up here to make them part of his entrance because he “loves” you! That’s all Cody does, promise this, promise that.
But Cody never delivers! He never keeps the promises! Cody’s told the people all these lies, and nothing ever comes to fruition. Wanna know why? Because Cody’s number two. And that’s with respect! Y’all would be lucky to be number two, but you aren’t even close! This is the greatest number two of all time! But that’s all Cody will ever be: number two. Because Roman is number one, forever. Heyman holds up the title as a banner but the fans rally behind Cody. Roman gets annoyed but Cody smiles. Cody tells Roman, “Let’s get real here. You grew up in this industry, same as I did.
“You were probably a little kid, looking in the mirror, wanting to be the next. The face of a generation! The biggest superstar to ever come along. The biggest pro-wrestling star. We’re talking Bruno, we’re talking Flair, we’re talking Hogan, we’re talking Rock, we’re talking Cena. I have conceded to the idea that the generation that follows us, our kids, will probably grow up wanting to be the next Roman Reigns.” Fans are torn but Roman says of course. Cody says that is Roman’s destiny, but he feels Roman is unfamiliar with Cody’s. Greatest number two? Huh. The greatest number two.
“Well, when it comes to WrestleMania, when it comes to who defeats you for this championship that you’ve held for all this time… I’m not number two. I’m the one.” Fans cheer that! Cody wishes Roman luck at Mania, and offers a handshake. Roman hesitates, but then steps back. The fans boo but Cody figured Roman would do that. Roman talks a bit more smack, mocks some Cody Crybabies, then shakes Heyman’s hand before they both step out of the ring. The fans continue to boo and that gets on Roman’s nerves, but he and Heyman still walk away. Roman says Cody is so stupid, and then he snaps his finger.
Roman grins as the music hits, because here comes The Bloodline! The face to face was kept clean, but that’s over now! Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa storm out from the crowd and Cody sees he fell for the Tribal Chief’s trap. Big Jim grins but Solo is stoic as always as they flank the ring. Cody takes off his suit jacket, ready to throw hands, but then Jimmy & Solo step away to join Roman at the ramp. Wait, Cody grins because JEY is here after all! AND Seth Rollins! The American Nightmare had Main Event Jey and The Visionary waiting in the wings, too! Just when The Tribal Chief thinks he’s clever, he looks the fool. Will The Bloodline be out of luck when all the cards are played?
My Thoughts:
A great SmackDown here as we keep moving closer to WrestleMania weekend. Rey was rather rusty in his match with Santos but he got through it to get back to form. But oddly, I did not think Dom would even bother messing with Rey at this point with his story on Raw being his scouting of Andrade for Judgment Day. Although, LWO is not in on the tag titles, and I would think Legado is about to lose to New Catch Republic next week. We could be getting a 10 Man Tag match for WrestleMania, LWO having Rey, Carlito, Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde, so Santos, Angel & Humberto could team with Dom & Andrade for one night to face them.
Really good promo from Jade Cargill to hype up how she is now part of SmackDown. And there’s half a chance she still gets in on the DMG CTRL story with how there are still plenty of opponents to go around. Good promos from Bayley, Naomi & Bianca ahead of the great match of Naomi VS Iyo. Of course Iyo wins and with some help, and of course DMG CTRL beats Naomi and Bianca down. Jade can be the third for Naomi & Bianca in a Six Woman Tag against Dakota, Asuka & Kairi to help clear them out so Bayley and Iyo can have a fair 1v1 match for the title. Tiffany getting her insult in also makes me think Bianca will have a match with her in at least a post-Mania feud.
Great on location promo from AJ Styles and LA Knight, keeping up the tradition of grudge matches having borderline home invasion incidents. Great tag team matches in the SmackDown side of the WrestleMania ladder match build. Now sadly, Good Brothers being part of the NXT Tag Team Championship story, I knew they were losing to A-Town Down Under, and of course it had to be by cheating. Profits VS AOP was really good stuff, but with Theory & Waller through to the next round, Profits being Faces had to win so that all worked out. I would hope Profits win that, but there probably does need to be another Heel team other than Judgment Day in the tag title match, and there’s still the story of Final Testament VS Lashley & Profits that needs to be settled anyway.
Great little promo from Kevin, Orton and Pretty Deadly to set up a tag match that will help Kevin and Orton build momentum for their match with Logan Paul, but also maybe lose some as Kevin and Orton will inevitably be divided by how only one can win the US Championship. Plus, Logan can totally show up to mess with them and help Pretty Deadly win. And then, really good stuff in the Bloodline story as always. Good promos from Roman and Cody, but camera direction could’ve been better when it came time for both sides to reveal they still brought back-up. The moment itself was still very clever, as I had a feeling Cody never truly trusted Roman anyway. Two more weeks, four more nights for build, this is gonna keep getting better.
My Score: 8.7/10

Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 6.12.2025
DO SOMETHING WITH JASON HOTCH AND KC NAVARRO – that is all.

So Against All Odds…was barely passable and that’s only with Xanax. The Knockouts title match was awful, the 4 Man “Home Town Man” was stupid and the only good part was remixing the old Jerry Lynn & AJ Styles “Born in the USA” theme for Home Town Man. Maclin needs to stop having brawls, they’re boring, give him a bump guy. Kaibas and Rascalz was underwhelming. Santino vs Robert Stone was funny, Elias vs Trick was too chalk and lame. IInspiration (IIconics) returning was big news at least. Hendry losing to Kaz was also obvious since Kaz hasn’t won a match in forever.
The show dragged, and as much as I usually like Masha’s wrestling ability…her last 3 title matches have sucked and its not her opponents fault. Killer Kelly returning is sexy though…I mean, good. Yes, good. Saving the best for last, Mustafa Ali vs Jason Hotch was the best match of the show, and really damn good in general. Workrate was great, Tasha and Skyler being conflicted and popping for Hotch when he was doing well was great character work. Hotch looked amazing in the loss, if they don’t capitalize on it, that would be a huge screw up from TNA.
Not really sure what kind of shows we’ll be getting, and I’m not excited.

Ratings:
- The IInspiration vs Missa Kate & Brittani Brookes: IInspiration wins via Idolizer – ** 1/2
- Jason Hotch w/Jon Skyler vs Leon Slater: Leon wins via Swanton 450 – ** 3/4
- 8-4-1 Knockouts Match: Tessa Blanchard, Xia Brookside, Dani Luna & Rosemary vs Killer Kelly, Indi Hartwell, Jody Threat & Tasha Steelz: Indi wins via Hurts Don’t It – ** 3/4
- Indi Hartwell vs Killer Kelly vs Jody Threat vs Tasha Steelz: Kelly wins via Hurts Don’t It – ***
- Fir$t Cla$$ vs The Hardy Boyz: Hardyz win via DQ – ***
Results:
Santino opens the show informing Santana of a suspension, kicking Robert Stone out and recapping his victory party before introducing the IInspiration for their first match back.
The IInspiration vs Missa Kate & Brittani Brookes
A bit of talking and pandering from IInspiration, they’re dominating the jobbers and there’s not much to discuss here. They do the IIconics Pose and actually keep the control. Cassie pulls off some kind of Butterfly Facebuster which looks cool, Jess comes in and the Jobbers cheat a little to take over. Jess tags in Cassie and Scorpion Kick, decent comeback, corner Hip Attacks, Neckbreaker, Jumping Kick to the Head into Fisherman’s Suplex Hold for 2. Idolizer (Magic Killer variant) is hit and IInspiration win, and didn’t look bad. Cassie (Peyton) is still the better wrestler of the two, but neither looked bad.
Jason Hotch w/Jon Skyler vs Leon Slater
I don’t hide the fact I heavily dislike Slater. He has no personality, he’s all flips, no ability to talk…he’s boring. He’s ROH Will Ospreay or Flip Gordon, does flippy crap to pop morons but he’s a worthless character. Since he wants to become the Youngest X Division champion, and they’ve talked about for like the last 7 months…sadly it’s probably going to happen.
Chain wrestling start and Hotch already looks like the better wrestler. Hotch is on his SANADA in LIJ arch where he looked great losing to the leader, falls back in line but then he hits a Spinning Overhead Kick for a near fall, so I’m not allowed to finish my thought because Hotch is fun to watch. Leon is such a bad wrestler…he held the rope and looked back to take a forearm shiver, the nerd had to watch it to sell it. Man’s not talent.
Hotch has Leon in an Arm Iso Cravat, Leon tries to fire and then Hotch keeps him down. Leon counters a Slingshot Suplex into his own Final Cut to get space to breathe. Double sell, Leon leap frogs, then rope runs, Lariats and Lethal Injection from Leon for 2. Hotch is so fluid, dodges the corner attack, rope assisted side kick, Outside In Neckbreaker for a near fall! Hotch will probably lose, but he looks like the better wrestler by miles. Heavy Irish Whip counter from Leon, into Blue Thunder Bomb. Leon goes to the top, Hotch cuts off, Leon dodges, hits the Knife Edge Chop and they wrestle on the apron, Front Kick from Hotch sends Leon into the post, Double Stomp onto the apron, Hotch wants a finish but counter, Cradle trades and then Hotch gets caught by a Leg Lariat, Swanton 450, selling from Leon was spotty and bad during this whole match.
Fun moments but the wrong kid died…

8-4-1 Knockouts Match: Tessa Blanchard, Xia Brookside, Dani Luna & Rosemary vs Killer Kelly, Indi Hartwell, Jody Threat & Tasha Steelz
Dani and Jody start, so at least there’s a measure of story telling, but I still detest Jody. Sloppy counter wrestling start, Jody stops herself from punching Dani and tags in Tasha. Tasha pauses and jaws to her team and gets Back Body Dropped by Dani, Dani tags in Xia and Tasha pokes her eyes immediately and lights up Xia. Xia fights back, Rope Assisted Headscissors, Crossbody and near fall. Xia tags in Rosemary and Rosemary looks at her like death, then Rosemary goes after Xia, but a Codebreaker from Tasha gives space to tag in Kelly. Kelly kisses Rosemary and then they brawl in full mount. I’m not sure if I clicked the orange website or TNA…oh there’s a Lariat…it’s wrestling again.
Jody doofus tags in, the crowd wants Indi, no one wants Jody and Rosemary Upkick, Drop Toe Hold, Tessa tags in, works over Jody, Jody tries to go to the top, Victoria Crawford fka Alicia Fox trips her, Tessa gets the momentum back, a bunch of distraction and Tessa tags in Dani. Then Dani tags out to Rosemary. Whip, Rosemary misses the Spear, Tessa tags herself in and they’re keeping Indi out of the ring. Tessa crashes and burns as Jody dodges and fights back. Rosemary tags in, Indi gets the tag. Bunch combo, Spinebuster, Dani breaks the pin and now signature spam spot.
Indi is the last on to hit her moves, Hurts Don’t It takes out Rosemary after Tessa just walks out.
Indi Hartwell vs Jody Threat vs Killer Kelly vs Tasha Steelz
Commercial happened and we’re back and it’s Indi vs Jody. Jody takes her down with a Shoulder Tackle, Jody hits the Exploder, and Indi finally stalls some of the offense, Indi throws Jody into the ropes and Jody takes it bad. Jody Drop Toe Hold, looking for her Knees into German spot, but Kelly pulls her out, Tasha tries to pick the bones but Kelly comes in and attacks Indi. Tasha and Kelly have a heel agreement to gang up on Indi. Kelly goes for the pin, so hells are arguing, throw forearms, Kelly with the Double Overhooks, Headbutts, Angel’s Wings gets hit from Kelly but Tasha kicks out. Jody Crossbody takes out both heels.
Jody and Indi team up and 10 Count Lariats on the Heels, pop spot for the crowd since Indi is in the driver’s seat, Simultaneous Lariats each other and everybody down. Mickie James Bulldog from Tasha but Jody pushes her off, Indi tries the Cradle for two. Indi misses the Boot, eats a German. Tasha hits the Mickie Bulldog, but Jody kicks out. Indi grabs Tasha, Hurts-nope. Tasha wanted Blackout, Indi says no, Hurts Don’t It, but Kelly takes out Indi and steals the pinfall. Kelly wins.

Fir$t Cla$$ vs The Hardy Boyz
AJ charges before the bell, Hardyz dodge and Lariat AJ to the floor and work over KC with their usual Arm Bar Extreme Elbow, Delete Arm Breakers and Back Elbow Hardyz combo. AJ tries to get back in and the Hardyz attack, Poetry in Motion, AJ is back to the outside. Commercial break time, I wonder if the heels will be winning coming back…OH no, Jeff is still isolating KC. Pleasantly surprised I suppose.
Arm Wringer, simple offense, Jeff tags in Matt, Stalling Tandem Suplex and Matt covers, only 2. Matt with Short Arm Shoulder Tackles, close quarters forearms and the Rocket Launcher into the middle rope followed by a Leg Drop onto the apron, KC keeps kicking out but he’s getting dog walked. Stomps into Splash, KC needs to tag out, but Jeff stays on him, AJ finally pulls out Jeff, KC flies into Jeff and tags out. Finally AJ gives KC a break and bends Jeff back in a Bow and Arrow Stretch. Jeff tries the comeback, AJ pulls the hair to throw him down, stomps his face and AJ is manhandling Jeff as KC is sucking wind. Little Bro deserves a big break.
Tennessee Whiskey from AJ, connects and “Money, Money, Money”. AJ gets a little distracted trying to one up Matt, Jeff hits two Twists, and tags in Matt, so Delete Face Smashes and AJ is getting rocked. AJ reverses the Irish Whip, but Back Elbow from Matt into a Middle Rope Side Effect. Trick Williams comes out to attack the Hardyz. Hardyz win via DQ, but then Hendry and Elijah come out for the save. System is out…old school TNA donnybrook.
Overall Score: 5.5/10
The ring work was mediocre at best, but nothing miserable. Cassie and Jess look like they never missed a beat, take that for what you will if you loved or hated the IIconics. Trick solidifying his alliance with First Class makes for interesting cross promotion. If Fir$t Cla$$ ends up with the NXT Tags while Trick is the TNA Champ…that’s…a pretty neat visual I ain’t mad at. Yes I’m bias because KC is awesome, but AJ has done good work in TNA, so he deserves some flowers. Tessa keeping Victoria Crawford in the Robert Stone ejection is wonderful. I’ve always loved Alicia Fox and teaming her with Tessa is very interesting for the obvious reasons I don’t need to mention again, just search Twitter, you’ll understand.
Sami looks like a doofus getting sideswiped, Jay-SANADA Hotch is the best thing TNA has right now for home grown talent. Slater is still useless but oooo he can flip…I hate no personality flip-tards. Indi getting screwed sets things up nicely to not push her too quick to the top of the card, but she’s very over. The lack of Lei Ying Lee is annoying since I really don’t think the poor match was her fault. Also, putting her in a throwaway tag match against the Elegance girls next week? TNA really doesn’t know what to do with Lei, do they? She’s been mishandled the entire time since debut.
So even with my nitpicks, there were a lot of building blocks in the show. Hell Tessa insulting Gia is also probably something brewing…but I’m glad we didn’t lose Gia when we lost Ace. Gia is the best backstage interviewer since Lauren Brooke. So very middle of the road show, either things will get slightly better going to Slammiversary, or it’s the calm before the storm. We…shall see.

Atlantis Jr. & Templario VS Volador Jr. & Magnus!
Grand Slam: Mexico is next Wednesday, and Global Wars: Mexico will surely follow, so the stars of CMLL are back again! The second generation star and the Lion Warrior want after FTR for the disrespect they’ve shown, but will they sharpen their teeth and build momentum with a win? Or are they falling into Los Depredadores’ trap?
The teams sort out and the fans rally for “Lucha Libre!” Templario starts against Volador, and The Code of Honor is denied as Volador pulls the classic hair smoothing trick. The bell rings, Temp and Volador circle and push each other. Volador trips Temp, flips him over, but Temp arm-drags Volador away! Volador comes back, trips Temp, but Temp reaches up to RANA! Volador returns to sweep and cover, ONE! Temp sweeps and covers, ONE! TEMPLAROONI! The fans fire up for that, and the two back off. Tags to Atlantis and Magnus and the fans rally. They feel things out, then things speed up.
Volador gets a cheap shot on Atlantis, Magnus BLASTS Templario, and then they both stomp away on Atlantis! The fans boo and tell them off, but Los Depredadores soak it up. Los Depredadores double whip but Atlantis reverses to send Volador away. Atlantis SUPERKICKS Magnus, then runs up on Volador, only for Volador to put him on the top rope! Preston Vance w/ The Frat House VS Evil Uno w/ Alex Reynolds!
On a scale of one to ten, the animosity between these former Dark Order allies has escalated to about a 17. But will Perro Peligroso keep the party going for him and his new friends? Or can Player One smack some sense back into an old friend?
The Code of Honor is NOT upheld as the brawl pops off! The bell rings, Uno fires off more shots! Uno ROCKS, kicks, CHOPS, CLUBS, and CHOPS again! The fans fire up as Uno just fires off and CHOKES Vance on the ropes! The ref counts, Uno stops, and Vance bails out. Reynolds is there and says nope! He puts Vance back in for Uno to bump him off buckles! The fans rally for Uno as he ROCKS Vance, then BITES him on the forehead! The ref reprimands, Uno stops, and he whips Vance to ropes. Vance grabs those ropes and bails out! The Frat House is there to support Vance, but Uno storms out and they back off! Uno CHOPS Vance against railing!
The fans fire up as Uno whips Vance into the railing! Then he kicks at the Frat House to back them off. Uno puts Vance in the ring, but Vance distracts the ref. This lets Griff Garrison trip Uno up! Winner: Preston Vance, by pinfall
The numbers game plays in the favor of the Frat House as their 4v2 works out again! And they continue to mug Uno & Reynolds, but wait! The Dark Order music hits? BECAUSE JOHN SILVER IS BACK!! The fans fire up as The Meat Man grabs one of them Pledges to GERMAN SUPLEX! And then he kicks the other, torture rack, HELICOPTER SLAM!! The Frat House still have the advantage at 4v3, but they don’t wanna take on a reinvigorated Dark Order! Will Silver be just the thing to tear down the Frat House?
Red Velvet speaks.
“Attention CMLL, your longest reigning ROH Women’s World Television Champion is coming back to Mexico. And I’m not just dropping by. I’m gonna be there all week long, June 17th, 18th and the 20th with AEW and ROH, and you should be there, too. Because everybody knows that a good recipe has a secret ingredient, and that’s me. I’ll see you guys in Mexico.” Will The Chef be serving L’s all week in Arena Mexico? Or will someone take a bite out of Red Velvet’s reign?
The Dark Order regroups backstage.
John Silver is all fired up! “The Meat Man is back, baby! Check it out! American made meat! Whatcha think about that, huh!?” Uno shouts at The Frat House, “It has been MONTHS that you have been metaphorical thorns in our side! And you have outnumbered us time and time again! But that ends here, because this man is worth at least two of you!” Silver brings up Jacked Jameson, and Reynolds says, “Big mouth, tiny little package.” Cole Karter? Dumbest man alive. Preston Vance? Traitor! And uh… Who’s the fourth guy? Griff Garrison. Who the F is that?! But the point is, anywhere, anytime, any three of Frat House against the three of them! Dark Order still rules!
8 Man Tag: Shane Taylor Promotions VS Vaughn Vertigo, Martian Webb, Riley Reinhart & Joe Demaro!
We heard from them earlier tonight, and now Shane Taylor will lead Lee Moriarty & The Infantry into battle! And after weeks, months, maybe even years of waiting, will they finally and for truly TAKE opportunities for their own?
The teams sort out and El Paso chants for “S T P! S T P!” as Shawn Dean starts against Riley. They tie up, and Dean SLAMS Riley down. Dean then RAMS Riley into the corner and STP mugs him! The fans fire up, Dean scoops and puts Riley in the Tree of Woe. Tag to Carlie and the Infantry stomps away! The ref counts, Carlie steps off, and the Infantry taunts Riley’s team. Then they DOUBLE BASEMENT DROPKICK! Carlie says they’ll get every one of them! “What’s our name?!” “S T P! S T P!” Carlie drags Riley up, but Riley JAWBREAKERS free! Hot tag to Webb, but Carlie BOOTS him down!
Carlie laughs at the #AlienSpider, then RAMS him into the corner! STP mugs Webb now and the ref reprimands! STP lets off, Carlie tags Dean back in, and they put Webb through the ropes. The Infantry LARIAT Webb over and over, the ropes keeping him up! The ref is busy arguing with Lee and Shane, and Webb flops down. Dean stalks Webb, drags him back from his team, and puts him back in the corner. Tag to Shane and the man himself hushes the fans. Then he CHOPS Webb! Lee mocks Webb’s pain, Dean says, “That’s a man! That’s a man right there!” The fans want that one more time, so Shane winds up to CHOP!
Webb coughs and sputters, and Shane says he hits too hard for these chumps! Then Shane TOSSES Webb to his team! Shane dares someone to tag in, so Vaughn tags in. Lee tags in and he BOOTS Vaughn down! #TAIGASTYLE drags Vaughn up, whips, but Vaughn reverses. Lee sunset flips, but Vaughn rolls through to PENALTY KICK! Lee avoids the standing moonsault, whips Vaughn, but Vaughn reverses, only for Lee to BOOT him down! Demaro tags in and the fans do cheer. But now Shane tags back in. Demaro is his team’s biggest man, but that’s nothing compared to Shane Taylor. Shane tells El Paso to shut up for the Detroit Import.
Shane dares Demaro to take a shot, and Demaro HAYMAKERS! Shane nods, but then he bobs ‘n’ weaves to HEADBUTT! Clinch and URENAGE! Then the SPLASH DOWN! Cover, but Alienated Youth break it up! Shane glares at them and the fans tell Riley & Webb they messed up. They apologize to Shane, but the Infantry drag them out! And THROW them into railing! Bravo says, “Goodnight, nerds!” Demaro kicks, Shane blocks, and he brings Demaro over to tag Lee. KNEE from Shane, JUMP KICK from Lee! Lee is all fired up, and then he clamps on the BORDER CITY STRETCH!! Demaro TAPS, STP wins!
Winners: Shane Taylor Promotions, by submission
The Border City Stretch finishes it in the Borderland, and STP moves on with the winner’s purse. ROH, run or hide, but STP is still coming for it all! Will Shane, The Infantry, and even Trish Adora soon have gold to go with Lee’s Pure Championship?
ROH World Championship Proving Grounds: Bandido VS Mansoor w/ #MXMTV!
Speaking of championships, The Most Wanted knows there is a growing list of contenders, and he now steps into the ring with The Iron Chic. But will the Sultan of Suave strut his stuff and snatch that golden ticket to the title match? Or will he bust when Bandido hits Blackjack?
The Code of Honor is upheld with a tip touch, and the bell rings. The fans rally behind Bandido as he and Mansoor circle. They approach, but Mansoor dodges to POSE! He even mocks the finger guns. He and Bandido go again, Mansoor headlocks, but Bandido powers up and out. Mansoor goes up and over, handsprings, and then he POSES! Mansoor smiles, Bandido says he can play that game. Bandido has El Paso wind up, “Eyyyy~… PU*O~!” Mansoor gets mad and tells them not to call him that! Bandido and Mansoor circle, tie up, and Mansoor headlocks. Bandido powers up and out, but Mansoor RAMS him!
Mansoor brushes himself off, but Bandido RUNS him over! The fans fire up and Bandido aims his finger gun. Mason Madden says no guns! Mansoor runs up, Bandido blocks the kick and FLIPS Mansoor! Mansoor belly flops but he gets back up. Bandido back suplexes but Mansoor lands out this time! Mansoor waistlocks, Bandido bucks the O’Conner to DROPKICK! Mansoor sputters and goes to ropes, and Bandido builds speed! But Mason drags Mansoor out of the ring before Bandido can deal Blackjack! The fans boo but Bandido says hold on, and he DIVES! But Mason catches him! And Johnny TV distracts the ref while Mansoor hits the DRAPING SENTON!
The fans boo but Mansoor soaks up the heat. Mansoor blows kisses, then he fetches Bandido. Mansoor whips Bandido into steel steps! The ref reprimands, Mansoor rolls into the ring, and Mansoor distracts the ref so MXM TV can mug Bandido! The fans boo more but Johnny y Taya talk trash in Espanol. Mansoor puts Bandido in the ring, covers, TWO! El Paso calls Mansoor more names, but Mansoor hits a BACKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Mansoor KNEES Bandido in the back, KNEES him again, then clamps onto Bandido’s arms for the motorcycle stretch! The fans rally, Bandido fights up, and he turns things around on Mansoor!
The fans cheer as Mansoor endures, but MXM TV coach him on turning things back around! Mansoor then CLUBS Bandido in the back! Mansoor kisses his biceps, then underhooks. Bandido fights the suplex, wrenches free and ROCKS Mansoor! Mansoor kicks low, whips Bandido to a corner, but Bandido SUPERKICKS in return! Bandido goes up, up, and TORNILLOS! The fans fire up while both men are down! Mansoor goes to ropes, Bandido storms up and wrenches him for a facelock. Bandido calls his shot, and he suplexes, only for the back to give out! Mansoor CLUBS Bandido, wags his finger, and runs, but into a military press!
Bandido holds Mansoor up with one hand, then SLAMS him down! Bandido goes up, up, and gives some Latino Heat! FROG SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Mansoor survives the tribute to Eddie Guerrero but the fans cheer it. Bandido has Mansoor on ropes again, but Mason distracts the ref! Johnny grabs Bandido’s legs! Winner: Bandido, by pinfall (denies Mansoor a title opportunity)
With just minutes to spare, The Most Wanted seals the deal! But wait, is that Lee Johnson? Big Shotty calls out Bandido from the stage. Bandido dares Lee to step closer if he wants this shot. But wait, BLAKE CHRISTIAN attacks! The fans boo as the Vanilla Babyface strikes the champ! Blake is 9-0 in ROH, and still stinging from Ricochet talking down to him. Will Blake prove to everyone that he’s championship material? Lee & Blake keep beating up on Bandido, but wait! MASCARA DORADA is here! And he rushes in to run off Blake & Lee! Dorada may be Bandido’s opponent for next Tuesday’s CMLL VS AEW/ROH event, but he helps Bandido to his feet.
The fans cheer as Dorada holds up the ROH World Championship, and he tells Bandido that it’ll be them mano a mano. Will Dorada change everyone’s plans for the Summer? Or can Bandido deal another winning hand in Arena Mexico?
My Thoughts:
A very good ROH at just over 50 minutes, and we got quite a bit of hype for next week’s huge CMLL crossover. I can only hope that AEW helps broadcast that special event on Tuesday, either from YouTube or they integrate a lot of it into next week’s ROH episode. For that matter, I wonder about that CMLL Fantasticamania event on Friday, with AEW, ROH and even NJPW stars showing up to have great matches. Red Velvet had a good promo to hype her appearance(s), and she of course won her match tonight to have momentum going into that event. Great tag match to open, and good win for Atlantis & Templario to build momentum into that huge tag match for Grand Slam.
Very good match from Vance VS Uno that of course the Frat House cheated to win, but I’m very happy to see John Silver return. Great promo from Dark Order after, and I would think they win the Six Man Tag. Just not sure how this story ends unless it is a wild No Disqualification Six Man Tag rematch. Very good promo from STP and they of course won that 8 Man Tag. A little disappointing that Shane Taylor wasn’t the one going out there at the end to confront Bandido. Bandido of course denies Mansoor in the Proving Grounds, but Blake Christian going after Bandido is still a logical move. Blake is 9-0 and has earned some kind of title shot, so he might as well aim for the top.
That said, Dorada with the save was a nice touch, and Bandido VS Dorada will be an awesome match. Bandido likely beats Dorada, and likely beats Blake, but Shane should really be built up as the guy who takes the title from Bandido. Shane has been going strong in his own story as an ROH ride-or-die talent, he deserves something in recognition of that.
My Score: 8.7/10
