Gallus talks backstage.

Joe Coffey tells Markus that he spoke with Ava. Ava is being “difficult,” but she slapped them on the wrist. But now there can only be two of them allowed ringside for tonight’s tag match. Where even is Wolfgang? Markus isn’t sure, but then in walks Meta Four. Lash says here we go. Oro says from Gallus Boys to the Main Man, he needs to know: Why’d they jump Oro’s guy, Noam Dar? What? Oro says he gets why they jumped Ivar, Briggs and Wes Lee, but- But that’s it. Ivar, Briggs and Wes, but also Je’Von and Trick. If Gallus went after them, everyone would know about it. So wait, they’re thinking Gallus went after Dar? That’s a stupid question. They thought better of Meta Four.

The Coffey Brothers head out, and Meta Four is confused. But then if it wasn’t Gallus, it still has to be Trick. Lash says excuse you, Oro. She already said it wasn’t Trick. Oro says there’s no time for this. He’s gonna go find Trick. Lash is the only one standing by Trick on this, is she going to be the only one right about this?

Lola Vice trains backstage.

But Arianna Grace walks in and says as locker room leader, and a leader of women in general, she must ask Lola this. Does she seriously intend on going through another barbaric NXT Underground match? Riley comes back, runs up, goes up, but Ridge sweeps the legs! REDEEMER DDT!! Cover, Ridge wins!

Winner: Ridge Holland, by pinfall

Chase U gets in to check Riley, even though this was Mr. Chase’s idea for them to fight it out. But Ridge did prove he can do this without crossing the line. Ridge helps Riley up to show him respect, and he even offers a handshake. Riley doesn’t take it? The fans boo, Thea and Chase are surprised by this but Duke seems to stand with Riley. What will it take to squash the beef?

Backstage interview with The Good Brothers.

Kelly Kincaid is with Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows, and notes they are moments away from taking on Edris Enofe & Malik Blade, but she wants to talk the NXT Tag Team Champions, Nathan Frazer & Axiom. The Machine Gun says good, let’s talk about it. Because when it comes to The Good Brothers, they are only getting the silent treatment. Big LG says he and Machine Gun are sick of being ducked, dodged and overlooked by a team that’ve been together for what? Six months? The Good Brothers have a couple title reigns worldwide longer than that. Last week’s beatdown is what you get when you treat The Good Brothers like a couple of Outsiders.

So fair warning to the maxed mook and the quick brother: Until Gallows & Anderson get their title shot, the beatdowns will continue whenever these two want. Anderson calls out Axiom & Frazer, “Do we have your attention now?!” Keep running, or man up. You know where to find them. The Good Brothers head out, will they make their case later tonight? Kelly then hears word of something happening! Cut to the other cameras!

We do cut, and we find ORO is down! Lash & Jakara hurry over, want help, and refs call for medical. Jakara assumes this is Trick, too! Lash knows that’s not the case, but then who IS attacking Meta Four?

The Good Brothers VS Malik Blade & Edris Enofe w/ Brinley Reece!

We just heard from The OC, but surely Malik & Edris won’t take being overlooked lightly either. Can Malik & Edris break their run of bad luck by taking down one of the best tag teams in history? Or will one of the best tag teams in history prove they’re worthy of the NXT Tag Team Championships?

The teams sort out and Edris starts against Anderson. Edris is a little busy reassuring Brin he’s okay, but then Anderson kicks him low! Anderson headlocks, Edris powers up and out, then he jukes! Malik tags, Edris RAMS Anderson, then he and Malik hit a DROPKICK BULLDOG COMBO! Cover, TWO! Malik has Anderson in a corner, fires off hands, then Malik whips. Anderson reverses, Malik goes up and over and keeps moving! Tag to Edris, body shot and FLYING AX HANDLE! Edris covers, TWO! Edris keeps close on Anderson with the facelock, tag back to Malik. They wrench and whip, then DOUBLE DROP TOEHOLD!

Malik & Edris somersault and DOUBLE DROPKICK Anderson! Gallows runs up, Malik DROPKICKS him! Edris & Malik high-five, and then Malik gets Anderson up. Brin checks in on Edris and Edris says he’s good, really! But then Anderson shoves Malik into EdrisAND EDRIS FALLS ON BRIN! Edris freaks out, he calls to the refs, but Malik has to fight off Anderson now! The refs hurry to help Brin, Malik fires off on Anderson, but is this only going to mess with Edris’ head worse? We’ll have to wait and see as NXT goes to break.

NXT returns and Gallows grinds Malik down with a headlock. Malik endures, the fans rally, but Gallows thrashes him around. Edris is stressed but Malik fights up to his feet. Malik throws body shots, Gallows kicks low! Gallows ROCKS Malik, puts him in the corner, then fires off haymakers! The ref counts, Gallows lets off, and he UPPERCUTS Malik! Tag to Anderson and he brings Malik around to whip back into the corner hard! Anderson drags Malik from the corner, stands him up, and whips him to another corner hard! Malik drops to his knees while Anderson soaks up cheers and jeers. Anderson storms up on Malik, bumps him off buckles, then turns him around for UPPERCUTS!

Anderson tags Gallows, he storms up to stomp Malik, then he reels Malik in for a snap suplex! Cover, TWO! Malik is still in this but Gallows clamps on to fishhook the mouth! Gallows makes Malik smile, then drags him up. The fans rally as Malik throws hands, but Gallows HEADBUTTS! Malik JAWBREAKERS! Gallows wobbles, but Anderson distracts Edris with trash talk! Edris misses the chance to tag! Gallows brings Malik around to DECK him! Edris is even more upset, but he coaches Malik. Gallows back suplexes, Malik lands out! Malik dodges Gallows, hot tag to Edris! Edris dodges to rally on the Good Brothers!

The fans rally, Edris DROPKICK FOREARM COMBOS! Edris DROPKICKS Anderson! And he DROPKCIKS Gallows! Edris keeps moving, he SLING-DOGS Gallows! Edris DECKS Anderson, hurries up top, and he MACHO ELBOW FLOPS as Gallows moves! Gallows gets Edris up for the CHOKE SLAM! Tag to Anderson, he BLASTS Malik, and now time for MAGIC KILLER!! Cover, Good Brothers win!

Winners: The Good Brothers, by pinfall

Bad luck or just being in his own head, Edris couldn’t turn this one around. But speaking of, the Good Brothers turn around and get DOUBLE MISSILE DROPKICKS! Axiom & Frazer have turned the tables as they fire off on The Good Brothers! They send Anderson out, then they DOUBLE CLOTHESLINE Gallows! The fans fire up with the champs, and Axiom says it doesn’t take a genius to know what the Good Brothers want! Frazer tells the “fraudulent clowns” to listen up! As long as Frazer & Axiom are tag team champions, Gallows & Anderson ain’t getting anywhere near these belts! Yes, Good Brothers are among the greats, but they’re also two of the biggest AS-

Axiom stops Frazer there, and says what he means is that they will see Gallows & Anderson at Battleground! The Good Brothers get their shot, but will they make it count? Or will Frazer & Axiom win big in Las Vegas?

Dante Chen speaks.

“Last week was the greatest night of my life. For over two years, I’ve waited for my opportunity. I’ve watched other superstars get their chance. But instead of being jealous or envious, I’ve always been happy for them and their success. I kept telling myself, ‘Dante, stay ready. One day, it will be you. Your chance.’ A chance to represent my family, my culture, as the first Singaporean WWE Superstar! And the response I received when I walked out, I will remember forever. It’s those members of the NXT Universe who watched me week in and week out on Level Up, give my heart and soul to them.

“But I’m all about discipline and my work ethic. And as much as I’d love to bask in this victory forever, I’m hungry for another, and another, and another. Dante Chen is ready for whatever and whomever is next.”

The locker room cheers Dante on.

Hank ‘n’ Tank are among those who tell Dante to embrace it. He thanks them for the kind words, but Lexis King says this means nothing! Having a party after his fluke win? How pathetic is that?! Even for Dante. But the others tell Lexis shouldn’t wreck Dante’s moment. Lexis says they’re right, Dante should enjoy the moment, because it’s never happening again. Dante will take that bet. And he’ll prove it wasn’t a fluke! Oh, acting all tough in front of his friends, huh? Got balls now? When does Dante want it? Dante says… tonight! The others like that! Lexis says Dante’s 15 minutes of fame are over!

Lexis leaves, but will Dante leave Lexis speechless when it’s 2-0 in favor of the Singapore Warrior?

Trick Williams & Je’Von Evans warm up backstage.

The NXT Champ says check it, Young OG. Trick appreciates Je’Von having his back last week, and Je’Von says c’mon, Trick knows he’s got him. He’s lucky to be standing here. But they’ve got Gallus tonight. Those guys will be on their P’s & Q’s, so Trick & Je’Von better be on their A Game, too. But then in steps Sexyy Red! They say get it, Sexyy! She twerks then shakes hands. That new album dropping, too, “In Sexyy We Trust.” But how is she liking NXT? She loves it. Sweaty bodies and muscles, but hey, she just wants to wish them luck. But Je’Von says hold on. Since they’re all going to Battleground, why not come out with the NXT Champion tonight?

Well, why not? Red says talk about it. Follow her! They all head out, is tonight’s main event gonna get sexy?

Roxanne Perez is here!

The Prodigy brings her NXT Women’s Championship to the ring, and she gets a mic to say, “Can we all just acknowledge the fact that I’m the only woman in the WWE that has actually appreciated this championship from the very beginning? I mean, seriously. From the moment that I won this NXT Women’s Championship in 2.0 to when I finally regained it at the biggest Stand & Deliver of all time, I’ve seen this title jump from waist to waist to waist, and it has been continuously held by women who use it as some sort of vehicle or stepping stone to get to something bigger and better.

“I am the only one who has shown true commitment to this championship.” The fans do cheer that, and Roxie says that if you don’t believe her, she began training at 13, all for this title! No one else can say they’ve been working towards this title for nine YEARS! Roxie never cared about Raw or SmackDown really. All she ever cared about the NXT Women’s Championship! Because to everyone else, this title just represents the future greatness rather than present. And trust her when she says, you’re in the presence of true greatness right now.

“Which is why I find it really, really, really disrespectful that I have to come out here and find out who my Battleground opponent is like this. I mean, c’mon, Ava, where the hell is the respect for the NXT Women’s Championship? As the face of the NXT Women’s Division, the best Women’s Division in all of wrestling, the only thing that me and Ava can actually agree on, I deserve to be treated better. But okay, Ava. You don’t wanna give me the respect I deserve? That’s okay, because I can play that game, too. So who the hell is it gonna be, Ava?!”

Ava makes her entrance back out here to tell Roxie she doesn’t know why Roxie’s made this “Woe is Me” thing when Ava’s never said Roxie is a bad champion. Ava thinks Roxie is great. But it isn’t about being good or bad, but if she’s still even gonna be champ after Battleground. Roxie, you will be defending your NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground against… JORDYNNE GRACE?!? The fans go wild as the Impact- er, TNA Knockouts Champion is here!! The fans fire up and lose their minds as Grace gets in the ring with Roxie! Grace smiles while Roxie scowls, and Grace finally says, “Some of you may remember me from the Rumble earlier this year.”

But if you don’t, let her officially introduce herself. She is THE TNT Knockouts Champion, Jordynne Grace. Now, Roxanne, you’re a great champion. A two-time NXT Women’s Champion, and she’s built her name here in NXT the same as Grace did in TNA. But Grace is curious: whose foundation is stronger? Time to find out. Battleground: Las Vegas, Grace challenges Roxie for the title! And she’s fully prepared to leave Las Vegas a double champion! Roxie is seething, but will she have to learn to lose with Grace?

Eddy Thorpe speaks.

“To most people, fire is a destructive force. Items and memories consumed by the flames, turned to ashes, carried by the wind to oblivion. But to me and my people, the sacred fire is much more. It is a doorway to the spirit world, to connect and communicate with our ancestors. Fire is used for healing. As I sit and I stare into the sacred flames over these past months, asking for guidance and healing, I can finally feel it. In my heart and my spirit, my Buha. The vision is strong, my body is healed, the path is illuminated. I now lead the way, not only for me and my family, but for all indigenous people with a dream.

“Through the cleansing of the fire, Eddie Thorpe has been reborn.” When and where will The Alpha Wolf return to finally go for gold?

Chase U regroups backstage.

Andre Chase says they got it out of their systems, it’s over now. It was a hard fought match, nothing to be ashamed of, but Ridge won fair and square. Is Riley okay? NO! Riley’s been saying it for weeks, Ridge cannot be trusted! Thea asks what the hell he’s talking about. Riley’s the one who didn’t shake Ridge’s hand! Duke speaks up, Chase lets Duke go from here. Duke doesn’t wanna be the bearer of bad news, but… Duke sees what Riley sees. What?! Duke and Riley go off to talk, Thea is freaking out! She has her match with Jazmyn next week, she’s gotta go prepare for that.

Chase finds himself alone as Ridge walks over. Ridge says that was a hell of a scrap. Chase agrees, and Ridge thanks Chase for putting that together. But is everything okay? Chase says yes, it’s fine. One day at a time. Is everything A-OK with Chase U?

Lola Vice VS Arianna Grace!

While she’s going to bring the Underground to NXT Battleground with Shayna Baszler, Lola is in a fighting mood even now. Will the Mayor of Vice City shut the Pageant Queen up? Or will Arianna find a way to survive the Latina Heat?

The bell rings and the two circle. Arianna wants Lola to calm down, and then avoids a haymaker! Arianna hooks Lola for a backslide, ONE! Lola fumes but Arianna wants her to calm down. Then Arianna rolls Lola up! TWO, and Arianna again wants Lola to take this down a notch. She blocks a kick, trips Lola, then jackknifes, TWO! Lola fumes more but Arianna says chill! But then Arianna drops just seeing Lola show punch! Lola then smirks and AX KICKS Arianna on the back! Lola drags Arianna up, UPPERCUTS her, then stalks her to a corner. Arianna elbows back, goes up, but Lola blocks a kick. Ariana KICKS back!

Arianna runs up but into a SOBAT! Lola drags Arianna up, whips her to a corner, then ROCKS her! Lola fires off body shots from all sides, then throws her into buckles! The ref reprimands but Lola soaks up the cheers and jeers. “I’m a Latina~!” HIP ATTACK! Arianna sputters, coughs, and Lola drags her away from ropes! Arianna scrambles, KICKS Lola away, then hurries up to CHOP! Arianna whips, ELBOWS in the corner, then reels Lola in for a snap suplex! Arianna drops an elbow but misses as Lola moves! Arianna hurries to ELBOW Lola at ropes, then whips. Lola reverses to URAKEN!! Cover, Lola wins!

Winner: Lola Vice, by pinfall

It was buenas noches on the 305, and Lola gets a mic. “Shayna Baszler, next Sunday in the Underground, you have one of two options: Either I tap you out, or I knock you out! You choose, B*TCH!!” But wait! The Queen of Spades is here, and she’s rushing the ring! Security intercepts her, the fans are losing their minds! Shayna says she was BORN in the underground! Security also has to stop Lola, but there won’t be any stopping them when it’s finally time to fight! Who will survive going no ropes and no rules in Sin City?

Carlee Bright speaks.

“My entire life has always been ‘Ready~! 5-6-7-8!’ But now all I wanna hear is 1-2-3.” Carlee dedicated herself to the sport of cheerleading, all the way to a Division I scholarship at the University of Minnesota. Flying through the air in front of 70, 80, even 90 THOUSAND people in front of the Golden Gophers was great, but she knew when she graduated that it was her chance to take her skills to another level. From the moment she stepped into the ring, wrestling was her new love. And she is going to bring that same dedication and athleticism to NXT! So WWE Universe, your Ray of Sunshine has officially arrived.

Carlee talks with Natalya, Karmen Petrovic and others backstage.

Natty says Carlee’s first match two weeks ago was so good. Carlee thanks Natty for the huge compliment, and pressure. But Izzi Dame says to stop giving the kids a false sense of hope. They’ll never last in this division. Natty says Izzi has “incredible” manners. Karmen says she’ll handle this. First, Izzi can’t talk to a living legend like that. And second, Karmen will be damned if Izzi comes in with that big negative energy. Oh, Izzi sees what’s going on here. Sword Girl got her first win and now she’s feeling herself. Did she thank Natty for that? Yes, and here’s this! Karmen fires off on Izzi!!

The other ladies rush in to stop this, but clearly tensions are riding high the closer we get to Battleground! Will “Sword Girl” cut down the Leaning Tower of Izzi?

No Quarter Catch Crew works out.

They’re all pumping iron, and Damon Kemp finishes his set to check on Charlie. Is he alright? No, not really. Ever since losing the Heritage Cup, it feels like he lost a piece of himself. He isn’t sure what it is, but Charlie needs to win it back. Demon says it’s alright. He knows how it feels. Does he? Does he? Because Charlie doesn’t wanna have to say this, but he feels the NQCC needs to take a closer look at Tony D and how he runs the family. They need structure, discipline, a chain of command. That is the only way they end up on top! Myles says he wants to face Tony, but Charlie says no. Damon will get The Don. Capiche? Yeah, he’s got this.

No, Charlie wants Damon to say it. Capiche. Capiche? Yes, capiche! Okay, capiche, capiche! Charlie says good, and he heads out. Damon and Myles are confused, mostly because what does “capiche” mean? Is Charlie going a little far obsessing over The D’Angelo Family? Or will he regain the cup before he loses his mind?

The Meta Four is in the medical room.

Oro is checked out, and Jakara is nervous. Lash says she isn’t happy about this either. First Dar, now Oro. Maybe one of the ladies is next. Meta Four is family, so if Trick is behind this- Lash stops Jakara there, but says she will talk with Trick about it. She knows he won’t lie to her, especially after everything they’ve been through. Trick will tell the truth. Good. Jakara leaves it to Lash, will we get to the bottom of NXT’s latest whodunnit?

Dante Chen VS Lexis King!

The Singapore Warrior told The Drama King that they can run it back tonight, and so here we are! Will Dante prove he didn’t just get lucky last week? Or will this be royal redemption for Lexis?

NXT returns as Dante makes his entrance and the fans fire up! The bell rings and King runs in! Dante dodges, fires off haymakers and CHOPS! The fans fire up, King shoves Dante away, but Dante runs to STINGER SPLASH! And then he runs to BOOT! Lexis flounders, the fans fire up, and Dante whips. Lexis reverses, Dante goes up and over, but Lexis SUPERKICKS! Lexis throws down forearms, then stomps Dante. Lexis says he’s not playing, and he KICKS Dante down! Lexis sits Dante up to KICK him in the back! Lexis says Dante doesn’t deserve his fame! He SLAPS Dante, drags him up, and suplexes, but Dante fights it to a cradle! TWO!!

Lexis escapes, but Dante elbows, UPPERCUTS and ROCKS Lexis! Dante fires off more shots, then whips, but Lexis reverses to short arm LARIAT! The fans boo but Lexis gets Dante up to suplex and JACKHAMMER! Cover, TWO! Dante survives and Lexis is upset with the ref! GHOST PIN! DANTE WINS AGAIN!!

Winner: Dante Chen, by pinfall

Not a fluke, just Lexis’ ego! But then he CLOBBERS Dante because he’s a sore loser! The fans boo as Lexis drags Dante to the apron! Lexis CLUBS away on Dante’s chest, then dumps Dante to the floor. Lexis runs to CROWN him! Dante sputters from the blindside shining wizard, but now Lexis pulls up floor mats! Lexis is a MAD king as he drags Dante up, reels him in, and CORONATION on the bare concrete!! The fans boo but Lexis says HE’s the guy! You don’t mess with The King! Did Lexis just make sure Dante’s right back on the shelf? What consequences will there be for what Lexis just did?

Josh Briggs speaks.

While watching footage of his early days in Evolve Wrestling, he asks, “Who is Josh Briggs? Signed to NXT in 2020 and had big dreams of becoming a superstar and breaking out on my own. But my goals were a little too big too early, so I got myself a ‘little brother’ (Brooks Jensen) and then a ‘little sister’ (Fallon Henley). It wasn’t about me, it was about us. And there’s no ‘I’ in team, but there is in ‘win,’ and that’s exactly what we did. We found success, and I thought I found who I was. And then it was time to break away, and find success on my own.

“I got my hand raised a few times. I was betting on myself but when I think about it, what am I betting on? Am I a Man of Mayhem in the ring or in my damn mind? I may not know who Josh Briggs is right now, but best believe, I’m gonna find out.”

Shawn Spears watches and smiles.

But then Kelly Kincaid walks over to talk with him. The Chair Man says it is a shame to see another lost soul in search of himself. Yes, um, but it’s been a few weeks- Spears says he is very troubled by the youth here in NXT. They’re so talented, so impressionable, so… misguided. There are those wandering down a path of uncertainty, and one in particular with great potential, they just don’t have it yet. Spears has been down that path. It can be daunting. So he will help them. He’ll guide these youth to reach that potential! All their concerns, their worries, their problems, and he will be the answer.

The Chair Man heads out, just what is going on in that twisted mind?

The D’Angelo Family talks backstage.

They know the NQCC is still looking for trouble, and they messed with the wrong family. Rizzo says that’s right, and Luca says they can litigate this. But Tony D wants things to settle down. They don’t need to worry about that tag title fiasco, they gotta think big picture on No Quarter Catch Crew. Nothing else gets done until they put this one to bed, because clearly, NQCC will keep coming after them, all over the cup. At first, Tony thought this was a decent cup, but it’s kinda growing on him. For the NQCC, this is like part of them, like a liver or heart. Luca, did you look up the Catch Clause? Yes, he sent in the paperwork, he’ll have it done tonight.

Good, because Tony needs to know everything about it so the Family can use it for their advantage. Rizzo asks if he’s expecting a surprise. Charlie said it’s Damon, but Tony only trusts them as far as he can throw ’em. Stacks says throwing ’em ain’t easy with how sturdy Damon’s belt. They need to take someone for a ride? Tony says nah. They’ll just beat ’em at their own game. Does that mean there’s going to be a D’Angelo Clause to counter the Catch Clause?

NXT Women’s North American Championship Ladder Match Qualifier: Kelani Jordan VS Wren Sinclair!

There’s only one spot left, and there’s nothing to it but to do it! Will the Gym Princess or the new kid on the block be the one joining Lash Legend, Sol Ruca, Fallon Henley, Jaida Parker & Mia Yim in Sin City’s six pack challenge?

Fallon is on commentary and says it’s just like how Jaida was just on commentary earlier. If Jaida can, why not her? The bell rings and the two tie up. They go around, Wren headlocks for the takeover, but Kelani headscissors. The fans duel as Wren kips free, but then Kelani arm-drags! Wren headscissors, Kelani kips free, and the two reset. The fans cheer, they tie up, and Kelani wrenches to a wristlock. Wren rolls, wrenches, and wristlocks, but Kelani rolls, rolls, handsprings and wrenches back. Kelani wristlocks, Wren rolls, spins, and kicks Kelani down. Wren clamps on with a cording hold and the fans applaud.

Kelani fights up, rolls, spins, and trips Wren to then float for a facelock. Wren fights, rolls free, and has the arm again. Kelani fights up, Wren wristlocks, but Kelani uses the corner to go up and up and ARABIAN PRESS ARM-DRAG! Wren flounders away, but comes back, only for Kelani to DROPKICK! And DROPKICK again! Kelani swings in the ropes, but Wren blocks the arm-drag! Wren drags Kelani up, and hits a FACEBUSTER! Kelani goes to corner, Wren runs up, but Kelani ELBOWS her away! Wren flops out of the ring, and Kelani TORNILLO PLANCHAS! Direct hit and the fans fire up with Kelani!

Kelani puts Wren in the ring, hurries after her, and then runs to SPLASH! But Wren rolls it through! Cover, TWO! Wren drags Kelani up, whips, but Kelani reverses. Wren sunset flips, Kelani bridges to stay up! Kelani then drags Wren into a sunset flip of her own, TWO! Prawn hold from Wren, TWO! Kelani has the sunset again, TWO! Wren stacks, TWO and Kelani has another sunset! TWO! Wren jackknife bridges, TWO but barely! Kelani bridges, spins Wren around and around, but Wren fights the backslide! Wren slips free, swings, but into a spin and hook, OLYMPIC SLAM! Kelani hurries up the corner to SPLIT LEG MOONSAULT! Cover, Kelani wins!

Winner: Kelani Jordan, by pinfall

Fallon says, “Well, well, well.” But Kelani proved she’s one of a kind with that finish! Will she be the one, the only, the inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion? Or is that easier said than done given this star-studded field?

Stevie Turner meets with Ava Raine & Robert Stone.

The 4D Superstar would just like to know, what has Jordynne Grace ever done to earn her shot at the NXT Women’s Championship? Because Stevie’s been busting her ass on Level Up just to get noticed, and uh, her “invite” for the combine apparently got lost in the mail. Mr. Stone, Stevie saw he got Dante that opportunity with Lexis King. What about one for Stevie Turner? Stone says relax, and Ava understands the frustrations. Oh, no, Stevie doesn’t think Ava does. See, Stevie still doesn’t know what Jordynne has done to earn- Oh, someone else is here. It’s JORDYNNE! Stevie, right? Nice to meet you.

But she couldn’t help but overhear Stevie asking questions. And to be honest, Jordynne absolutely agrees. Stevie wants a chance to prove herself, and Jordynne wants to show the WWE Universe why she’s TNA Knockout Women’s Champion. So how’s this? Next week, they both get what they want. Stevie shows up, and Jordynne shows everyone what we have to look forward to at Battleground. Ava says great! Everyone’s happy, right? Stevie’s smiling but no, she’s not happy. Will Stevie go from 4D to 2D after running into The Juggernaut?

Backstage interview with Wes Lee.

Kelly Kincaid is with the Cardiac Kid, noting he is on his way to Battleground and the NXT North American Championship. It isn’t how he expected, and Wes says she is right about that. It felt great to get a win last week, but he is very, very upset that he had to share it with Joe Coffey. Completely upset. Kelly asks how he feels about Joe & Gallus not just going after the North American Championship but also THE NXT Championship? Wes says the thing about Gallus, those are three angry Scots making threats all across the roster. Wes saw that fire burning in Joe’s eyes, and he means what he says.

Step one for Gallus is the North American title. The only issue is, they won’t make it to step two, because Wes needs to have the North American title back. Wes would love to make it 1v1, but he’s been in Triple Threats before and still walked out with the title. The only big difference is… Speaking of, Oba Femi walks in. Oba tells Wes that he commends Wes’s bravery. But level of focus aside, the number of men facing Oba doesn’t matter as the outcome remains the same: this title staying with Oba. Wes tells Oba that he has made a career of proving people just like Oba wrong. Wes heads out, but will he survive the odds in Sin City?

Trick Williams & Je’Von Evans w/ Sexyy Red VS Gallus!

There have been a lot of accusations about whodunnit in the case of Noam Dar, but both the NXT Champion and the Gallus Boys made it clear: they take credit for their work! And as we now, Joe & Mark Coffey want it all! Will they get started on step two right here against THE NXT Champion? Or will Trick and the Young OG get so bouncy, they bounce Gallus right out of the title scene?

The teams sort out and Trick starts against Markus. And then Trick CLOBBERS Mark at the bell! Trick stares Joe down, Mark staggers to a corner, and Trick whips. Trick ELBOWS Mark down, storms up on him, and headlocks. Mark powers up to throw body shots, then powers out. But Trick sends Mark away, follows, and runs Mark over! The fans cheer for Trick as he scoops and SLAMS Mark! Trick makes sure Joe sees this, and he tags in Evans. Evans circles, but Joe storms in! But Evans is ready, he gets the assist from Trick to FLYING RANA! Joe tumbles away, then Trick & Evans DOUBLE DROPKICK the Coffey Brothers!

The Coffey Brothers bail out, Trick & Evans join Red on the outside to shake out the dreadlocks! The fans fire up for the Young OG and Red says to get ’em! Evans headlocks Mark, but Mark powers out and tags Joe in. They DUMP Evans out hard, then Joe says bye with a GLASGOW SENDOFF into steel steps! Evans bounces off steel but not in a good way, and the Coffey Brothers are all fired up as NXT goes picture in picture.

Joe storms after Evans, telling Booker T and Vic Joseph something. Joe puts Evans in, but Evans throws body shots. Joe fires hands on Evans, whips him to a corner hard, then whisp him back in even harder! Evans staggers into a scoop and BACKBREAKER! Joe then goes up, VADER ELBOW! Cover, TWO! Evans toughs it out, but Joe drags him up. Evans throws more body shots, but Joe RAMS into him! Evans rebounds, sunset flips, TWO! Evans and Joe get up, Joe CROSSBODIES! Tag to Mark, and the Coffey Brothers double wrench to pop-up and DOUBLE CHOP! Cover, TWO! Mark stays between Evans and Trick, then DECKS Evans!

Mark stalks Evans, KNEES him down, then drags him back around. Mark scoops to SLAM Evans, covers, TWO! Evans grits his teeth as he crawls, but Mark stomps him down. Mark drags Evans around, SMASHES him off a knee, then drags him back around for a COBRA CLUTCH! Evans endures, reaches out, and Trick coaches him up. Evans fights to his feet, throws body shots, but Mark wrangles him as NXT returns to single picture. The fans boo but Mark grinds Evans in the hold. Evans still endures and fights back up. Mark throws some headbutts, but Evans still raeches out. Evans thrwos body shots but Mark ripcords. Evans ROCKS Mark first!

Evans fire smore shots, but Mark scoops to SLAM! Tag to Joe, he ELBOW DROPS Evans on the back! Then ELBOW DROP on the ribs! Cover, TWO! Joe keeps Evans away from Trick and cravats. Evans endures, throws more body shots, but Joe gives hime knees! But Evans back drops Joe away! The fans fir eup as Evans reaches out, but Joe waistlocks! Joe back supeles, but Evans lands out! Evans LEAPS to hot tag Trick! The fans fire up as Trick rallies on the Coffey Brother! LEG LARIAT! LEG LARIAT! Trick whips, Joe reverses but Trick jumps over Joe to take out Mark! Then Trick FLAPJACKS Joe!

Trick kips up, the fans fire up, and Trick lets the hair down again! Trick has Joe’s arm, cartwheel and clinch, but Mark runs up! So Trick adds him to a DOUBLE BOOKEND! Cover, TWO!! The Coffey Brothers tough it out but Trick stays focused on Joe. Trick fires boxing elbows, then whips. Joe blocks, Trick ROCKS him again! Joe reverses the whip to HEADBUTT! Tag to Mark, the Coffey Brothers DOUBLE BACK SUPLEX! Markus covers, TWO! Trick survives but Joe is right on him! The ref reprimands but Trick BOOTS Joe! Mark tries, Evans springboards in! Mark dodges but the FLYING CUTTER gets Joe!!

The fans go nuts as Evans gets up, but Mark DECKS him! Trick JUMP NECKBREAKERS Mark! The fans fire up as all four men are down! Red coaches her guys up, Trick rises, and he ROCKS Mark! Mark ROCKS Trick, they go back and forth! The fans rally for Trick but Mark DOUBLE CHOPS! Trick comes back with a EDDY GORDO KICK! Mark dodges the spin kick, but Trick bucks the O’Conner! But then Mark GAMANGIRIS! Cover, TWO! Mark calls to Joe, but Red sees that! Joe goes for the belt, but Red says nope! She and Joe fight over the belt, and she snatches it from Joe! Evans then FLIES over Mark to take out Joe!!

The fans lose their minds and even Red is shocked! TRICK SHOT for Mark! Cover, Trick & Evans win!

Winners: Trick Williams & Je’Von Evans, by pinfall

Huge teamwork from Trick, Evans and Sexyy Red, and the Gallus Boys are not on top! But wait, here comes Lash Legend! Lash goes to the ring with a mic, and Evans gives her space. Red high-fives her girl, and Lash has Trick to herself now. Lash wants Trick to be honest here. Lash needs to know: Was Trick the one who attacked Dar & Oro? Trick takes the mic and says hey, look. Wait, the lights go out!? Who’s doing this!? And then the lights go up, and ETHAN PAGE shoves Trick into Lash?!? ALL EGO IS NOW IN NXT?!?! But wasn’t he only just in All El- Wait, wait, Ethan talks! “Trick. I took out Noam! I took out Oro!

The fans boo but also lose their minds, because Ethan says, “Whoop that Trick? Yeah, I’m about to!” BOOT WASH in the corner!! The fans are torn between being mad and being excited as Ethan Page picks up the title. Is he going to take over NXT?

My Thoughts:

An awesome NXT to further build Battleground. It seems Sexyy Red is the new NXT music celebrity, and I long for the days of Poppy being awkwardly inserted into the #InDex story. But she got to honor of showing off the NXT Women’s North American Championship belt, and will now have the honor of hosting Battleground. Good segue in that opening segment, though, with Tatum grabbing at the belt and jinxing herself so that now Mia is going on to the ladder match. And a really good match from Kelani VS Wren, and I figured Kelani would win. Clearly Jaida’s aiming for Mia, Fallon is aiming for Kelani, that surely leaves Sol Ruca or Lash Legend to win the title.

Speaking of Lash and Red, good throughline tonight of Oro asking around for who attacked Dar, and then he gets attacked. Seems it wasn’t as much of a fake out as we thought, as Ethan Page is no longer All Elite, he is NXT! Great tag match from Trick & Evans VS Coffey Bros, great win for Trick & Evans, and great way for Ethan to debut. Maybe Dar really wasn’t ready to face Trick, maybe he has a real injury he needs to let heal and this was them writing him off and calling an audible. Trick VS Ethan will be great stuff, but at the same time, I can’t be sure it’ll be for the title because Ethan can’t lose in his debut but it doesn’t feel like the right time for Trick to lose his title.

Good promo from Wes and Oba, with Wes being confident that at the very least, Joe isn’t winning the North American title. I’m inclined to agree, as Joe probably just takes the pin for whoever. Meanwhile, good promos from both NQCC and The D’Angelos. I find it rather interesting that both sides are trying to copy the other, and it’s certainly cornier for Dempsey to think being like a mafia is what NQCC needs. Catch Clause/Freebird Rule is definitely more beneficial to The D’Angelos at this point. I kinda wish Dempsey’s talk of bringing structure to his group means bringing in his dad, William Regal, but it feels like they would’ve already done that the first time Regal returned on screen.

Good promo from Eddy Thorpe to hype his return, I hope he gets in on either of the midcard stories. Very good promos from Dante, and a really good match from Dante VS Lexis. Dante getting the win but Lexis doing serious damage is also good stuff, I look forward to where this goes. Very good promo from Lola and Arianna before their match, and Arianna actually looked good in the match before she lost. Good appearance by Shayna, too, to hype up things more. But them saying “next Sunday/this Sunday” instead of just saying “at Battleground” made me wonder if they prerecorded that segment, not knowing when they were really airing it.

Really good stuff with this Ridge Holland story tonight. Really good match from Ridge VS Riley, and I figured Ridge would win, but I did like the detail that Thea got Ridge to refrain from using weapons. Riley being upset and now Duke siding with Riley is good stuff, too, can’t wait to see how this goes. Briggs had a good promo, Spears also had a good promo to attach himself to that story, we could be getting some really interesting build towards Heatwave in July. And great promo from Good Brothers before a very good match with Malik & Edris. Another loss for Malik & Edris, they might be just one moment away from breaking up. And of course we get Good Brothers VS Axiom & Frazer for the tag titles, that is going to be awesome stuff.

And awesome stuff with the NXT Women’s Championship. Clearly, WWE and TNA are working closer together now, and Jordynne Grace coming in to challenge Roxie is wild. And welcome back, Stevie Turner, was wondering what happened. Of course, now Stevie’s gonna get demolished by Jordynne in the go-home episode. Roxie VS Jordynne will be awesome stuff, and while a double champion Jordynne Grace would be wild, I feel like Roxie uses shenanigans to retain. Maybe Roxie gets to return the favor and goes to TNA to go after the Knockout title, maybe other NXT stars show up there, but either way, this is going to be really cool stuff.

My Score: 8.9/10

PLAY BY PLAY

WrestleMania SmackDown’s going commercial free for the first hour!

Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga pull into the parking lot.

Solo lets his Right Hand Man handle the bags, but LA KNIGHT ATTACKS! The Mega Star goes after Tama, SMACKS him off some other car, and then SLAMS the door shut on Tama’s hand! Knight gets away before Solo returns, is the WWE US Champion making sure Jacob Fatu can’t stack the deck here in Las Vegas?

Seth Rollins is here!

The Visionary surprises Las Vegas as he’s already here ahead of WrestleMania! Rollins struts his way out in a black ‘n’ white tuxedo with golden roses painted on it, and the fans sing along, “WHOA~ OH~ OHH~!” as he goes to the ring. Rollins revels in the cheers before grabbing a mic. The singing continues, and Rollins tells Las Vegas, “It ain’t Monday, it’s Friday, but I thin it still works. Welcome to Friday Night Rollins~!” The fans cheer and Rollins says he is our host! He is a Visionary, he is a Revolutionary, he is SETH! FREAKIN’! ROLLINS! The fans cheer, and Rollins looks to the WrestleMania sign.

The singing returns, but there are also chants of “C M PUNK! C M PUNK!” Rollins decides to reference said CM Punk by sitting cross-legged in the middle of the ring! Rollins even tosses the mic sleeve aside, but now the fans chant for “O T C! O T C!” Rollins says we’ll get to him in a minute. Let’s start with that guy who they were chanting for first. The fans chant “C M PUNK!” again, and Rollins says yes, that’s the reason that guy came back to wrestling, right? Because all the fans chanted his name for ten long years! That’s why Punk came back, right? Except, when CM Punk came back to the ring, it wasn’t a WWE ring.

So did Punk came back because the fans were chanting his name? Or because someone wrote him a big fat check? Rollins says when Punk burned that bridge, like he does every other bridge, Punk did finally come back to the WWE. But was it because of the fans chanting his name? No. It was because they wrote him another big fat check. Some fans actually chant, “BIG FAT CHECK! BIG FAT CHECK!” Rollins adds, “Tell me when I’m tellin’ lies. CM Punk likes to pretend he came back for all of you. CM Punk doesn’t care about you. CM Punk doesn’t care about the WWE. He’s a liar, he’s a fraud, he’s a coward…

“And say what you will about Roman Reigns, Mr. OTC…” The fans chant for “O T C! O T C!” and Rollins says Roman doesn’t even pretend to care about the fans! Roman doesn’t even pretend to care about the WWE! And you can believe that. The OTC only cares about the OTC. Roman Reigns is in the Roman Reigns business. Mr. Private Jet, Mr. Limited Schedule, Mr. Handpicked Opponents. The fans sing “Roman! Roman Reigns~!” Rollins says yes, Roman loves that. He loves when you love him. But Roman knows nothing of sacrifice. Punk knows nothing of sacrifice. Rollins knows EVERYTHING about sacrifice!

But funny enough, this story all started 12 years ago, all with Paul Heyman. That’s the truth. Heyman brought Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns & Dean Ambrose into the WWE to be a shield for CM Punk. Every single night, Rollins sacrificed everything he had in this ring to be that shield. Did he get any of the credit? Absolutely not. “Everyone in the back” wanted the cameras and spotlight on Roman Reigns. It was always about Roman Reigns! Roman Reigns was the next John Cena! Roman Reigns was the next cash cow! Look at Roman, put the spotlight on him! Every single year, this went along.

And in the background, after CM Punk had gone away, taken his ball and gone home, Rollins heard little echoes of “C M Punk” chants. Meanwhile, Rollins was making every show, in the ring every night, sacrificing everything that he had! The fans do cheer that, and Rollins says it all came to a head last year, in the main event of WrestleMania, a knee hanging on by a threat, Rollins’ stepdad at home, dying of cancer… But Rollins was there at the very end to be a shield to make sure Roman Reigns LOST! The fans do cheer that, too! They even chant, “Thank You, Seth!” and sing, “WHOA~ OH~ OHH~!” Rollins soaks it all in before continuing.

“This story between us started 12 years ago, when Paul Heyman brought myself and Roman Reigns into the WWE. And it ends tomorrow night, in the most important Triple Threat match in the history of this industry. And I promise you, I will do exactly what I have done for the past 12 years. I will lay it all on the line. I will sacrifice everything that I have to make sure that this business, this company, this industry, moves forward in the right direction. That’s not a prediction, that’s a spoiler. HAHAHAHAHAHA~!” Rollins has issued his mission statement. Will the Architect finish the story that he’s been writing for over a decade now?

2025 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal!

The tradition to honor the Eighth Wonder of the World continues! Who will make it through the star-studded field to immortalize themselves on the giant trophy?

The bell rings and the brawl is on! The fans fire up for this chaos as LWO brawls with Legado del Fantasma, Pretty Deadly is after A-Town Down Under, and Carlito finds himself the odd man out so he just smiles and watches it all happen. Carlito brings out his apple, but R-Truth takes it and takes a bite out of it! The fans cheer, Carlito is confused, but then Carlito CLUBS Truth into SPITTING the apple at Miz! Carlito whips, Truth reverses and TOSSES Carlito to ELIMINATE him! The fans cheer and Carlito is stunned! Truth tosses what’s left of the apple to him! Andrade takes a swing, but santos shoves him into Fenix! Andrade apologizes, but Santos KNEES Andrade down! Santos uses that as a reason for Fenix to trust him, not Andrade! Fenix says okay. But then he TOSSES Santos and ELIMINATES him! Fenix knows a snake when he sees one, but Santos respects Fenix’s own trickery. Wait, Otis picks up Tozawa and AIRPLANE SPINS! Tozawa is a human weapon to clear out space! Otis then ROCKS Andrade, scoops and SLAMS him, then picks Tozawa up again to CHUCK at Julius! But Julius catches Tozawa, hands him off to Brutus, and while Julius JUMP KNEES Otis, Brutus TOSSES and ELIMINATES Tozawa!

Otis is mad now, and he CLOBBERS The Creeds! The fans fire up, then Otis runs to DOUBLE LARIAT The Creeds and himself up and out of the ring, TRIPLE ELIMINATION!! Otis realizes his mistake, but the fans still cheer him on. Miz goes after Nakamura, Kross is after Fenix, and Dragon Lee has Chad Gable! Otis RAMS Julius into the steel steps in frustration! Andrade TOSSES Waller and ELIMINATES him! But then Theory picks Andrade up! Andrade fights free, TOSSES Theory, and he ELIMINATES him, too! The fans fire up for El Idolo, and then he turns around to see Gable. Gable is surrounded by Andrade, Fenix, Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde!

Andrade BOOTS Gable first! Dragon Lee V-TRIGGER! DOUBLE SUPERKICK from Cruz & Wilde! JUMP SOBAT from Fenix! They TOSS Gable and ELIMINATE him! But then Nakamura storms in! Dragon Lee slingshot RANAS Nakamura down! Then Dragon goes corner to corner, but into a KINSHASA!! Nakamura then IVERTED EXPLODERS Dragon up and out to ELIMINATE him! The fans are torn, but we’re quickly down to seven, with Nakamura, Fenix, Kaiser,  Dunne, Andrade, Miz & Melo. Kaiser and Dunne trade shots while Miz & Melo kick Fenix in a corner. Dunne DUMPS Kaiser to the apron, but Kaiser pulls Dunne’s hair!

The fans fire up as both men dangle off the apron! Both men stand on the apron, and Kaiser CHOPS! Dunne kicks a leg out, STOMPS Kaiser’s hands, then BOOTS him! Kaiser hooks the rope with his legs! Dunne drags Kaiser up and over and to the floor! Dunne ELIMINATES Kaiser! Andrade fights Melo, but Miz TOSSES Andrade! Andrade holds on, but Dunne LARIATS Melo! Then Dunne TOSSES Miz! Dunne ROCKS Miz, ROCKS Melo, then he grabs Melo’s hand!

Melo runs up, ducks and enzigiri, and he DUMPS Dunne to ELIMINATE him! That makes four, but Andrade picks Melo up! Melo fights free, Fenix and Nakamura rise up, and now our final four square off! The fans fire up as they circle around the ring, and then they brawl! Fenix has Nakamura, Andrade has Melo! Nakamura KNEES Fenix low, fires more KNEES, then he AX KICKS! Fenix RAMS Melo, ROCKS him, then goes up the corner! BUT EL GRANDE AMERICANO TRIPS HIM UP!? Grande DUMPS Fenix out to ELIMINATE him!! “UH GRACIAS~!” The fans boo but Grande runs off into the night.

Andrade and Melo are the last two, a fitting fate given their best of seven series from just last year. The fans are thunderous as these two reset. They runs up, Andrade dodges, kicks, and underhooks! But Melo slips free of the Message to run, and LA- NO, Andrade stops the Mystica to suplex, only for Melo to slip free again! Melo spins Andrade, but Andrade powers out! DOUBLE LARIATS collide, but neither man falls! They DOUBLE LARIAT again, still no one falls! Melo runs, LA MYSTICA! And then a whip, but the boot feint SHADOW ELBOW hits! Both men are down and Vegas is thunderous again!

“This is Awesome!” as both men slowly stir. They rise up, Andrade reels Melo in, and Andrade gives some Latino Heat! The fans cheer that, but Melo fights the first amigo! Melo hits the suplex CUTTER! Melo then whips, but Andrade reverses! Melo goes up, but Andrade jumps up to get him again! Only for Melo to back down and SHOVE Andrade out! MELO WINS!!

Winner: Carmelo Hayes (2025 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Winner)

El Idolo is furious, but he got faked out as Melo hits the game winner! Melo proves he is H1M, but will he use this to soon become a champion?

SmackDown shares a snippet of Wade Barrett’s interview with Charlotte Flair.

The full interview will be part of tomorrow’s Countdown to WrestleMania 41, but Barrett says The Queen and Tiffany Stratton have clearly made things personal as of late. There have been numerous verbal attacks, as well as physical. Oh, you don’t say? Yes, Charlotte was even sent home from the arena last week, for her to ultimately show up anyway and attack Tiffany. Charlotte notes that wasn’t the first time something like that happened. Barrett wants to know: why is it this has gotten so nasty so quickly? Charlotte takes a moment, and says she doesn’t love it. They have moved past it. But she has a chip on her shoulder, and if she looks deeper at Tiffany, she can see there’s a chip on Tiff’s shoulder, too.

Charlotte doesn’t love it, but the people are invested now, so if there’s anything that matters most to Charlotte, it’s that people tune in not only to see her, but to see her VS Tiffany Stratton on the biggest stage. This is how we got there, but at the end of the day, getting people invested in something is what this is about. It can be ugly sometimes, but that’s just how you get tougher. The Queen is certainly putting Tiffy to the test, but will it still be #TiffyTime after WrestleMania?

Rhea Ripley is here!

Las Vegas fires up as Mami’s in town ahead of her Mania Moment, the Women’s World Championship Triple Threat. Rhea goes to the ring, grabs a mic, and she says, “Sunday, it marks my sixth WrestleMania. Yeah. And each time, I’ve walked into some sort of championship match. But honestly, this one… This one is probably the most important to me. Because it’s true, I let myself get distracted by Bianca Belair, and I lost my Women’s World Championship right before WrestleMania. That’s my bad. So I could, I’m not going to, but I could be coming out here right now to talk about the last few weeks, complain, moan, make excuses, but nah, I’m not gonna do that.

“Because there’s no point in talking about the past anymore. Sunday, I get back what I want, and I do what I have to do.” The fans cheer that! “Rhea Bloody Ripley is walking OUT of WrestleMania your THREE-TIME Women’s World Champion!” The fans really like that! But then wait! Here comes the current champion, Iyo Sky! The Evil Genius high-fives fans as she goes to the ring to step to Rhea. Iyo has a mic, but Bianca Belair interrupts already! The EST struts her way to the ring, struts past Rhea & Iyo, and grabs a mic of her own. The fans boo, but Bianca brushes that off to say, “Y’all two thought y’all was gonna come to SmackDown, drop my name, and I wasn’t gonna show up?”

Bianca says she was definitely showing up tonight! Because tonight might be her last night on SmackDown for awhile, because at WrestleMania, Bianca walks out the champion! The fans boo more, but Bianca says after what they put her through, she isn’t letting this go any time soon. Wait, is that Naomi!? The Glow gone dark has a mic as she makes her way out here to say, “Hey, B. So, you finally decided to show up to SmackDown. And you ain’t even gonna try and talk to me?” Bianca signs but Naomi says she’s filled up the voicemail box, called her like crazy, texted her, and Naomi knows Bianca got ’em cuz it says, “Delivered.”

Naomi approaches the ring and asks if their friendship means so little to Bianca. Naomi didn’t even wanna do this and have everyone in their business, she wanted to handle it in private. But since Bianca’s gonna go ignore her- Bianca says they’re not doing this, Naomi knows why Bianca isn’t responding because Naomi knows what she did. Bianca said what she said last time, and she meant it. So no, they’re not doing this right now. Oh, Bianca cares about Jade that much? Bianca says it’s not even about Jade! Naomi says Jade wasn’t there for Bianca like Naomi was! And tomorrow, Naomi finishes what she started with Jade! And after that-

Well, why wait? Here comes Jade Cargill now! The Storm storms her way to the ring, and she goes right for Naomi! Naomi runs away, Bianca wants Jade to calm down. Jade says Bianca is choosing Naomi over her now. Rhea says no, Jade, this isn’t about you. This is about- NAOMI SHOVES JADE INTO RHEA! Jade DECKS Naomi! Rhea and Bianca brawl just because, and Iyo stays back. Jade has Naomi on the outside, Rhea and Bianca spill out the side, and producers, refs and security rush out to stop this! Iyo decides to get in on this by going up top! OVER THE MOONSAULT onto the cluster!

The fans are thunderous for Iyo, Naomi scurries away from Jade, and a lot is going down this WrestleMania Weekend! Who will have their Mania Moment and shine in the spotlight?

Team American Made finds Rey Fenix backstage.

Chad Gable mockingly says, “Look who it is! The new luchador! What, you lasted to the final three tonight before you lost? Yeah, that was a good night, through. Not as good as El Grrrande Americano! Tell me, how’d it feel to get eliminated by the greatest-” Dragon Lee storms in and tells Gable to shut up. Gable gets no respect from real luchadores. Dragon and Fenix stand together and Dragon says Grande will lose at WrestleMania. Don’t talk to Gable about WrestleMania! And don’t talk to him about El Grande! But then Rey Mysterio steps in! Rey tells Gable that Grande is gonna learn about real lucha libre.

Gable says Rey doesn’t tell Gable what Grande’s gonna learn! And Rey sure ain’t teaching it! Rey says Gable sounds like he’s still in fight mode. There’s three of them, and three of Rey’s side. Why not a Six Man Tag here tonight? Brutus laughs, but then Gable frowns. Julius says they’re serious. Fenix tells Rey that he likes this idea. The luchadores go to talk with Nick Aldis, will the King of Lucha Libre build some momentum before he faces El Grande Americano?

WWE Tag Team Championships: The Street Profits VS Motor City Machine Guns!

After over four YEARS without gold, Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins finally have belts around their waists again. But will the champions go away after only a few weeks? Or can the Profits be up here in Sin City?

SmackDown returns and Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin are already in the ring as The Profits make their entrance. The introductions are made, but MCMG strike first with DROPKICKS at the ropes! SmackDown returns to single picture as Dawkins runs up, but Shelley dodges the cyclone! Ford tags in, slides between Shelley and Sabin, then grabs a leg. Shelley BOOTS Ford away, hot tag to Sabin! Sabin dodges Ford, DROPKICKS Dawkins, then BOOTS Ford! Sabin goes up, and he FLYING RANAS Ford! Sabin keeps moving, and he goes to the apron to PENALTY KICK Dawkins! The Dream Sequence begins, and completes with the MOTOR CITY FACIAL! Ford flounders to a corner, MCMG hit him with the BOOT ENZIGIRI COMBO! Then they bring Ford out, but Dawkins DECKS Shelley! Sabin DECKS Dawkins! Ford SUPERKICKS Sabin! Sabin tumbles out to join Shelley and Dawkins, so Ford builds speed and FLIES over the corner! The fans are thunderous, but JOHNNY GRAGANO LEAPS IN FROM THE CROWD! DIY attacks, and the match is ruined!

Winners: The Street Profits, by disqualification (still WWE Tag Team Champions)

Tommaso Ciampa grabs the belts, then he POSTS Dawkins! And he KNEES Shelly down! DIY is committing grand larceny but they claim they’re still the rightful champions! The fans boo, will Nick Aldis have to serve some justice?

Nick Aldis is on the phone.

Speaking of the SmackDown General Manager, he’s clearly already addressing the issue with DIY, only to be interrupted by Chelsea Green. The WWE Women’s United States Champion has her Secret Her-vice with her as she assumes Aldis witnessed last week’s travesty. He witnessed that count out loss, if that’s what she means. That IS what she means. And she has a complaint to file. Oh, tell him something he doesn’t know. Chelsea has Alba & Piper serve Aldis with the document. Aldis looks it over, and Chelsea assumes he will rectify the injustice. Aldis tells Chelsea that yes, she is right. There was an injustice, time to take action.

In fact, the three of them are supposed to be in a Six Woman Tag tonight. Forget that, because we’re handling this “injustice.” Zelina Vega will face Chelsea Green again! Great idea! What a stand-up champion! But hey, it’s a singles match, so let’s just have it be only Chelsea at ringside. Thank you. Aldis leaves, Chelsea freaks out and wants him to get back here, but what’s done is done. Will Chelsea just have to make sure she doesn’t lose two weeks in a row to La Muneca?

DIY is running backstage.

They’re trying to get away with these belts, but Aldis and security stop them! Aldis wants them to hand the belts over, DIY says they’re not playing games, but Aldis says DIY are not the champions. DIY insist they ARE the champions, but then the Profits run up! Followed by MCMG! Aldis and security keep this from breaking down! Aldis has everyone stop. DIY can do this the easy way or the hard way. DIY hand the belts over. Aldis says he is sick of dealing with this. Next week, the belts will be on the line, and high overhead. It will be a TABLES, LADDERS & CHAIRS MATCH! All three teams like that, but who wins when it’s all about TLC?

Randy Orton is here!

The fans sing along with Voices as The Viper makes his way to the ring. Orton takes a long look at the WrestleMania sign before he poses on the corner. Orton then grabs a mic to say, “Ladies and gents, as of now, I do not have an opponent for WrestleMania 41.” The fans boo, but Orton says he and the wife have been in Vegas, doing the appearances, walked The Strip, met the WWE Universe, thousands of you have approached him. He’s seen it in your eyes, he feels it in the air, there is an excitement for this year’s WrestleMania like none other! Orton’s father was in the very first Mania. Then 20 years later, Orton debuted at Madison Square Garden.

Orton’s mother got to witness his debut. Mania means something to him. And his legacy has a lot to do with his longevity. So there is no way in hell he is just sitting out this year’s WrestleMania! If Orton competes this weekend, it will be the 20th time he has competed at WrestleMania! This WrestleMania means so much to him, so here’s what he’ll do. He is just going to throw this out there to “the universe,” and let the fans decide! Orton will show up on Sunday, boots tied up, gear on, and just the right amount of baby oil on his skin… Fans like that! Orton promises to be locked, loaded and ready to deliver.

Because he’s not just doing this for himself! Orton is doing this for the fans, for his family, for the guys in the back! But as far as “the boys in the back” are concerned, if anybody wants to test themselves, he dares them to step up! Anybody on The Strip, if you’ve got wrestling boots, or even just catch wind that The Legend Killer needs an opponent, he is challenging you to step up! He will be there on Sunday, Allegiant Stadium, in the ring, ready to go! But know this: You will be met with, you will fall victim to the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment, R K O! Who will then step up to this RKOpen Challenge?

Backstage interview with Damian Priest.

Byron Saxton is with The Archer of Infamy and notes that this situation with Drew McIntyre has reached a boiling point. Earlier today on the WrestleMania Kickoff Show, they got into it, and- Priest stops Byron there. He knows Byron is doing his job, but Priest is done answering questions. This is now a direct message to Drew McIntyre, “the same guy who didn’t bother to show up to SmackDown tonight. The same guy who has been trying to convince the world that he’s some kind of victim. Drew, you are not a victim, man. Not yet. You’re mistaken if you think this is about me beating you in a match. You’re not ready for this fight. The world isn’t ready for this violence.

“You’ve tried really hard to paint me as some type of bad guy. Good. I’m gonna beat you so bad, you’re gonna wish you were future endeavored, again. At WrestleMania, I’m bringing the punishment, and I’m gonna bury you.” Priest has put the Scottish Warrior on notice, is he about to terminate the terminator?

The shadowy force approaches…

More smoke and flashes of images. “Accept damnation… Reject forgiveness…” Then the numbers appear, 4.25.25. We have one week left to wait, will SmackDown fade to black?

Chelsea Green VS Zelina Vega!

The Women’s US Champion is very upset that she lost by count out, but maybe she should’ve just left the issue alone. Now she has to face La Muneca again, and could end up losing even worse. Will Chelsea end up complaining even more after tonight? Or will she find a way to even the score?

SmackDown returns as Chelsea makes her entrance. The bell rings and Chelsea tries the skirt trick from last week! Zelina dodges it, then runs up, but Chelsea catches her for a back suplex! Zelina lands out, but Chelsea SLAPS her! Chelsea talks smack, but Zelina runs up again! Chelsea catches her for a LIGHTNING SPIRAL! Cover, TWO! Chelsea rains down fists, dribbles Zelina, and she has Vegas on her side. Chelsea stand Zelina up, whips, but Zelina KICKS Chelsea! Zelina wheelbarrows, arm-drags, and then runs at the corner, but into a KICK! Chelsea STOMPS Zelina, then rains down forearms! Chelsea then salutes while the fans cheer.

Chelsea drags Zelina up, whips, but Zelina reverses to TOSS Chelsea! Chelsea drags Zelina out and THROWS her into barriers! Chelsea refreshes the ring count this time, argues with the ref about it, then goes out to fetch Zelina. But Zelina DUMPS Chelsea into the timekeeper’s area! The fans rally, Zelina crawls away, and Chelsea drags herself back to ringside. We’re at 7 of 10, then 8! Both women spring in at 9! The fans cheer as the two stare down. Chelsea and Zelina warn the other, and then the forearms fly! Vegas is on Chelsea’s side for whatever reason but Zelina fires a flurry! Then she dodges and comes back to CLOBBER Chelsea!

Zelina LARIATS! Then she blocks a kick, ELBOWS Chelsea, and stalks her to the ropes. Zelina dials it up, but Chelsea BOOTS her first! Chelsea covers, TWO! Now Chelsea argues that count wasn’t fast enough! Chelsea puts Zelina up top, climbs up after her, but Zelina fights the suplex! Zelina smacks Chelsea off buckles, climbs up, and hits a SUPER CODE RED!! Cover, ZELINA WINS AGAIN!

Winner: Zelina Vega, by pinfall

And now that’s a definitive victory on the Women’s US Champion! Will Zelina look to make this 3-0 when she goes for the title?

LA Knight VS Solo Sikoa!

The Mega Star got the drop on Tama Tonga, and now he looks to remove one more variable before facing the dangerous Samoan Werewolf. Knight has the mic to say, “LEMME TALK TO YA! I dunno if you just saw what was on the screen, but what happened last week, I call that inspiration. Because week after week, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, they like to use numbers, they like to use sneak attacks. If you wanna sneak, then I got the sneak! And sneaking’s what I did. So outta the equation is Tama Tonga, and next on the list, Solo. Which means tomorrow at WrestleMania, it’s just me and it’s Jacob Fatu

“Now I understand Jacob Fatu’s a force, the man’s a monster, and he’s destroyed everything in front of him. Ain’t ever seen anything like him, right? But Jacob, you don’t understand! Because with that same energy, I walked into this place, turned the world upside-down, and stand here, TWO-TIME, most matches, most wins. And what that means is this is the title of titles. We never seen anything like you? NAH NAH! You ain’t ever seen anything like me!” The fans cheer, and Knight says when Jacob grabbed the belt last week, Knight could be cliche and say that’s the closest Jacob will get to being champ.

But Knight ain’t a dummy. Knight can look at Jacob and see that some day, some where, chances are, Jacob will be a champion. If that’s US Champ or something else, who knows. But the chances are, that while Knight’s here in the city of chance, he ain’t talking chance, he’s talking guarantees. The guarantee tonight is that Solo’s gonna walk out here and eat one. Then tomorrow night, Knight guarantees Jacob eats a BFT, courtesy of the man they call The Mega Star, with everybody saying, “L! A! KNIGHT! YEAH!!” With that, Solo makes his entrance, truly solo without Tama or Jacob. Knight then rushes out to start the fight!

The fans fire up as Solo and Knight trade hands back and forth, the Knight gets the edge! “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” Knight RAMS Solo into the apron, stalks him to the steel steps, but Solo YANKS Knight into the steel! The ref reprimands but this isn’t a match yet! Solo THROWS Knight into the steel steps, and SmackDown goes to break.

SmackDown returns and they’re back on the outside as Solo stands Knight up. Solo takes a swing but Knight fires counter punches! “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” Solo UPPERCUTS, then scoops Knight, to RAM him into the POST! Knight writhes on the floor, Solo refreshes the ring count, and Solo hauls Knight up for an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Knight flounders into the ring, Solo stalks after him, and Solo pushes Knight to a cover. TWO, and the fans rally behind Knight. Solo stays focused and he stands Knight up again. Solo suplexes, Knight lands on his feet, and Knight hits a NECKBREAKER! Both men are down and the fans rally up.

Knight stands to kick and punch away! Knight whips, Solo reverses, and Solo kitchen sink knees! Solo taunts the fans, then he FALLING HEADBUTTS Knight! And FALLING HEADBUTTS again! Solo taunts Knight, then has Knight at the ropes for a HIP DROP! Solo is going after those ribs, and he mockingly spells it out, before he HIP DROPS onto knees! The fans fire up while Solo sputters. Knight crawls his way to a corner, drags himself up, and the fans rally. Knight fires more punches, “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!” Knight ROCKS Solo, runs, but then has to dodge a lariat to LEAPING LARIAT in return!

Knight kicks and DDTS Solo, then rolls back! The fans fire up for the athleticism, and Knight goes up a corner, only for JACOB FATU to shove him down!

Winner: LA Knight, by disqualification

The fans are torn as the Samoan Werewolf is now attacking Knight! Jacob stomps away, then storms around, but BRAUN is here!! The Monster of All Monsters is back, and he runs through Jacob & Solo to then DOUBLE CROSSBODY them! Knight LARIATS Jacob up and out of the ring! Aldis is here, and he can see Jacob doesn’t wanna wait. Since no one can keep their hands to themselves, is Vegas thinking what he’s thinking? Let’s make a tag team match, and it starts right now! The fans fire up as Aldis pulls a Teddy Long, but will Jacob & Solo be able to soften Knight up with #OneBigSOB in the way?

LA Knight & Braun Strowman VS Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu!

SmackDown is picture in picture as this sorts out. Knight and Solo start to continue where it left off. Knight kicks, JABS, JABS, JABS, and then whips. Solo reverses, but Knight grabs ropes. Knight BOOTS Solo, but Jacob CLOBBERS Knight! Braun protests, the ref keeps him back, and Solo soaks up the heat. Solo tags Jacob, Jacob stomps Knight, then glares at Braun. Jacob stomps Knight more, drags him up and whips him hard into a corner! Knight sputters but Jacob HEADBUTTS him down. Knight flounders against the ropes, but Jacob CHOKES him! The ref counts, Jacob lets off at 4, and then Jacob brings Knight up.

Knight fires body shots, but Jacob HEADBUTTS him back down! Jacob says, “I LOVE YOU, SOLO!” Solo says see? The team’s just fine. Jacob whips Knight hard into the corner, then he tags Solo. Solo RAMS into Knight, ROCKS him, and Knight falls back into the corner. Solo fires body shots, brings Knight out, but then whips Knight back into the corner! Knight drops to his knees, but Solo brings him up to whip into the corner again! Solo tags Jacob, Jacob glares at Braun, then runs and SPLASHES Knight! Jacob CHOKES Knight, the ref counts, and Jacob stops at 4. But then Solo CHOKES Knight behind the ref’s back!

SmackDown returns to single picture, the fans boo and Braun protests, but Solo gets away with it all. Jacob stares Braun down, but Knight kicks low! Knight ELBOWS Solo, kicks Jacob, repeat! Jacob runs up but Knight DUMPS him out! The fans fire up, Knight crawls, hot tag to Braun! Braun CLOBBERS Jacob! And CLOBBERS him again! Braun BLASTS Solo, then runs to SHOTGUN Jacob outta the ring! The fans fire up with Braun, and he gets on the tracks! STROWMAN EXPRESS for Solo! And then Jacob! Jacob hits steel steps as he falls! The fans fire up with Braun and he puts Jacob in the ring.

Braun storms in, keeps moving, but Jacob LEBOWS him away! Jacob then dodges to SUPERKICK! Jacob runs, and he LARIATS Braun down! Jacob hauls Braun up to then DDT back down! And SENTON! Cover, TWO! Jacob snarls, but he tags Solo in. Solo runs up to stomp Braun down. Solo paces around Braun, stomps him more, then clamps on with a chinlock. Braun endures, fights up, and the fans rally. Braun throws body shots, but Solo DECKS him! Tag to Jacob, he stomps Braun, then clamps on with a chinlock. Braun endures the neck wrench, fights up, and the fans fire up as Braun picks Jacob up! SIDEWALK SLAM!

Braun and Jacob are both down but the fans rally back up! Braun and Jacob crawl, hot tags to Solo and Knight! Knight CLOBBERS Solo, then slips around to RUSSIAN LEG SWEEP! Knight BLASTS Jacob for good measure before he scoops Solo and POWERSLAMS! Knight goes up, “L! A! KNIGHT! YEAH!” BOX JUMP ELBOW DROP! Cover, JACOB BREAKS IT! That senton squashes Knight, but Braun POUNCES Jacob out of the ring! The fans fire up as Braun gets back on the tracks! STROWMAN EXPRESS is sent over the desk!! Jacob goes to the ring, but Knight WRECKS him with a dropkick!

Knight returns, but Solo mule kicks him! SAMOAN- NO, Knight dodge the spike to B F T!! Cover, Knight & Braun win!

Winners: LA Knight & Braun Strowman, by pinfall

Knight survives the night thanks to some help from Braun, but Jacob is back on his feet! Will nothing stop the Samoan Werewolf from taking the Mega Star’s gold?

SmackDown shares a snippet of Wade Barrett’s interview with Tiffany Stratton.

Like with The Queen, Charlotte Flair, Barrett sat down with the WWE Women’s Champion. She is someone who has risen to superstardom in record time, learning on the job, and we had quite the “learning experience” during that interview segment in Chicago. Barrett was there with Tiff and Charlotte, and it created a ton of buzz around this match, but perhaps for the wrong reasons. To put it mildly, that interview went off the rails. What happened there? Tiff says she feels over the last couple of weeks, she has been bullied and taken advantage of. That split screen interview before, there was a moment of discouragement, like Tiff isn’t made for this.

It was a moment of panic, but Tiff turned that feeling into motivation. She went back to the drawing board, did some research, and she made sure that she and Charlotte being face to face, Tiff would be prepared. She felt her moment, and came at Charlotte with a killshot. Tiff beat Charlotte at her own game and gave her a taste of her own medicine. Charlotte doesn’t have to like Tiff, but she will respect her now. Barrett says given this level of animosity, as well as the title on the line, this feels like a must-win for both sides. But what happens if Tiffy Time ends at WrestleMania? Tiff will say first, that won’t happen.

When the bell rings, she is fully aware this will be a fight. This will be one of the hardest matches she’s had to go through. She will channel that discouragement and make it motivation. She will stand up to Charlotte, she will stand up to a bully, and at WrestleMania, she will walk both in and out as champion. Barrett says this is certainly one of the most hotly anticipated matches this weekend, and wishes her luck. Luck aside, will Tiff have the skills to surpass one of the greatest to ever do it?

Six Man Tag: Team American Made VS Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee & Rey Fenix!

Chad Gable & The Creeds may not have won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but their apparent amigo, El Grande Americano, made sure Rey Fenix didn’t win it, either. Will this WrestleMania SmackDown still be American Made in the end? Or will this incredible trio of lucha libre power show El Grande what he’s in for?

SmackDown returns as American Made make their way to the ring. The teams sort out, and Brutus starts against Fenix. The two circle, and Fenix JABS Brutus! Brutus ROCKS Fenix, Fenix comes back to CHOP! The fans “WOO~” but Brutus fires a flurry of forearms! Brutus CLUBS Fenix down, taunts him, then whips Fenix to a corner. Fenix goes up and FLYING HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up as Fenix somersaults and RANAS Brutus to a cover, TWO! Brutus is up but Fenix SOBATS! Fenix whips Brutus to the corner, then runs up to FOREARM! Tag to Dragon Lee, he sits Brutus down for the slingshot DROPKICK! Dragon drags Brutus to a cover, TWO!

Cody Rhodes is here!

Las Vegas sings along with the song, “WHOA~ OH~!” and the pyro goes off. The Undisputed WWE Champion takes in the huge crowd here in the T-Mobile Center before going down the ramp and high-fiving the front row. Cody goes to the ring, gets another “WHOA~ OH~” and pyro, then grabs the mic. The fans are a bit torn now, which takes Cody by surprise. But he still smiles and holds up the belt one more time before… being interrupted by John Cena! Cody smirks and the fans sing, “John Cena SUCKS~!” Cena sports the Las Vegas edition of his farewell tour merchandise, and he goes to the ring with “The Last Time is Now” towel draped behind him.

Cena steps into the ring, grabs himself a mic, and again the fans are torn, just the flipside of how they were for Cody. “Let’s Go, Cena!” “CENA SUCKS!” Cena paces, Cody lifts his mic, but Cena tells him, “Shut your mouth, kid. This is gonna be my 20th WrestleMania, my 12th title match at WrestleMania. I know just as well as anybody that right about now, you can get lost in all the noise, all these voices. There is one voice you should listen to, and that’s the one coming from the man looking you in the eye. Sunday is the last time I will ever compete in a WrestleMania ring. No one has ever had the courage to end their career the way I have.

“And there is nothing you can possibly do to prepare to face a man who knows he’s going to die. What I’m doing is so unprecedented, they don’t think it’s real. They don’t believe it. They think I’m going to come back, because everyone always comes crawling back. ‘There’s no such thing as a wrestling retirement! There’s always one more match!’ The reason there isn’t a wrestling retirement is because every other wrestler is a scared, insecure loser. Every other wrestler needs these people! Needs these people to care about them, to post about them, to talk about them, because the second they get away from this, they’re left alone, by themselves, with their pathetic lives, so they come crawling back as a shell of themselves.

“I have love, joy and mirth in my life, I don’t need a single damn one of you.” The fans boo but Cena says the only reason he is here is to take that title away from Cody and all of the fans forever! Don’t say he didn’t warn you, because he did. When Cody Rhodes won the title last year, everyone raised him on their shoulders, giving him watches and saying, “Good job, champ!” When Cena had his moment alone with Cody, like a man to his face, Cena didn’t say, “Good job, champ.” He said, “Every day you hold that, it gets heavier.” And on Sunday, it finally becomes too heavy for Cody to hold, Cody will LOSE.

The fans are torn, but Cena continues by saying Cody will lose because he cares about the fans! “You people do not write history! Winners do.” Cena is here tonight because he wanted to share one more thing with Cody before Sunday. When Cena won at Elimination Chamber, he knew it’d be impossible to beat Cody in a match at WrestleMania. And in one moment, Cody changed all that. Cody changed all that with what he said to The Rock. See, kid, The Rock just gave Cody a choice: Do you wanna do what the fans think is right? Or do you wanna win? And in the moment Cody made his choice, not only did Cena realize he could win, he also realized that this Sunday, Cody doesn’t stand a chance.

The fans are torn again, but Cena says on that night, Cena also realized that the one thing left for him to do was do what Cody couldn’t: Prove to the fans that they don’t matter. See, all of this? All this noise? These people will always make up their own version of the truth that they want to believe, and when you stop caring about that and stop caring about them, you can start accomplishing anything you want in life! But Cody is too weak to understand that. The fans boo, but Cena says that in order to beat Cena, Cody must choose. Does he do what the fans think is right? Or does he win? Cody, you are strong, you are tough, and you are driven, but you are also scared, insecure and naive.

Cody says he wears the suit because he wants to be somebody. He has the tattoo because he wants to be somebody. Cody didn’t need the suit or the tattoo, because on Sunday, Cena will make Cody into somebody. Somebody who finally realizes that to become a winner, you gotta sever all ties with the losers in your life. Or… Somebody who had a chance to be a winner, and blew it. And in that very moment, Cody will realize he is to the captain, not the quarterback, but just a kid in a man’s world, who doesn’t have the balls of the Last Real Champion. Cody says okay, okay, “the noise,” huh? Cena’s always gotta say something.

The fans duel, and Cody says how this crowd feels about Cena… Cena says wow, this is who Cody fights for. This matters to him? Cody says that Cena claims he doesn’t bury talent, because he IS talent. Well, Cody knows a graveyard of talent that would disagree, but this isn’t about them. This is about WrestleMania. Cody wants to ask a question: Does Cena know the guy who handed him the mic? No, of course not. Nor this person, or anyone backstage. This is a different WWE. When this was Cena’s WWE, Cody worshipped him! The fans worshipped him! But since The GOAT hasn’t shown up since Elimination Chamber, Cody will offer some perspective.

Cena called Cody underwhelming? Well guess what? Cena is overrated! And overbearing! And more importantly, out of touch and out of time. Cena’s face is melting wax, he has a stack of dimes for a neck, has spindly ass legs, is paler than Sting at Starrcade ’97, and is sanctimonious! Cena has comments about Cody being an errand boy when the whole world has watched Cena saunter out on the Oscar stage buck ass naked for the people he runs errands for now! And BAH GAWD, Cena, it is 2025, and Cena still can’t wrestle!! The fans are going nuts, and there are plenty of chants for both sides. Cena frowns and says, “Idiots.”

The fans sing for “Cody! Cody Rhodes~!” and that just annoys Cena more. Cena says they’re just like Cody. They don’t know what they want. And on Sunday, in order to beat Cody, Cena doesn’t have to wrestle. Cena pokes Cody in the eyes! Then he fireman’s carries, and hits an ATTITUDE- NO, Cody slips free! CROSS RHODES!! Cena’s punchline backfires, and Cody stands over him, title in hand! Will the American Nightmare keep the dream alive by keeping the title away from Cena? Or will Cena still hit the jackpot on reign number 17?

My Thoughts:

A great SmackDown, especially as the go-home to WrestleMania. Great stuff with LA Knight going after Tama to reduce the odds of interference, but obviously Jacob Fatu was still a factor. Good match from Knight VS Solo before the interference, and then very good tag match with Braun Strowman joining in. Knight getting the win would likely indicate that Jacob wins at WrestleMania, assuming Solo Sikoa doesn’t screw things up for him. Honestly, when are we getting Hikuleo’s debut? I’m sure Tonga Loa going down with injury didn’t help plans, but at some point, this rogue Bloodline needs to get back to looking like a threat.

It has been a long time since a WWE battle royal, let alone an Andre the Giant Battle Royal, has been awesome, and tonight’s was definitely awesome. I also like how Miz was being a team player for once, which is in part why Melo won tonight. That and the tie-in with the El Grande Americano story. But Melo getting the win is great for H1M, and this really should translate into him getting something. And speaking of Grande Americano, good promo from “his amigos,” American Made with Mysterio, Dragon & Fenix. Great Six Man Tag from them, but I really hope Rey Mysterio is okay, the ringside doctor was checking him.

Great tag title match, but I should’ve known DIY would get involved. DIY trying to literally steal the titles is funny, though, and I do like that we are getting that Triple Threat I was expecting. A shame it’s just on a SmackDown, but a TLC Triple Threat for the first time in a long time, I wonder if Bubba Ray gave someone that idea. That match will definitely keep us guessing, so I wouldn’t be surprised with any of the outcomes. Good promo with Chelsea Green and Aldis getting Chelsea into a rematch with Zelina, and Zelina getting another win is good stuff. I kinda hope their title match is also part of the SmackDown After Mania, why drag this out to Backlash?

Randy Orton had a great promo to establish his Open Challenge, but then they kinda undercut it letting us know Aleister Black is returning next Friday. And duh, c’mon, those vignettes of the smoke and the shadows have been for Aleister this whole time. But Orton can face just about anybody, whether it’s a return or a call-up or even a new signing that goes straight to main roster, and that’ll be a lot of fun. Good promo from Damian Priest to call out Drew McIntyre, and they also had that brawl earlier today. I believe I said last week, that match will be wild, and both guys kinda need this because they both could use something to get back to a title story.

Very good snippets from the interviews we’ll be seeing as part of tomorrow’s Countdown special, hard to say how Charlotte VS Tiff goes but it’ll be great stuff. Great promo from Rhea that also brought out Iyo and Bianca, which then also brought out Naomi and Jade. Two builds with one segment, that was good stuff, as was the resulting brawl. But Iyo standing tall over Rhea and Bianca, the math would indicate she is not winning. Given how everything is going, I stick by Bianca needing to not just win, but to go Heel in the win so she can feed off the heat fans are giving her. Jade VS Naomi could go either way, but I wonder if Naomi will get herself disqualified by going too far, so it’s more a moral victory than the actual.

Great promo from Seth Rollins to add some last stuff to his Triple Threat with Punk and Roman, and there was also a great video package that they likely will show during WrestleMania, too. Rollins helped Cody #FinishTheStory last year, now he wants to finish his story with Punk and Roman this year, but I don’t know if he does it. He stood tall on Monday, neither Roman nor Punk were here to retort, hard to say what’s going to happen. As for Cody and Cena, they had another great promo segment together, and I like how Cena’s point of “will you do the ‘right thing’ or do what it takes?” feels very much like Bray Wyatt from his first feud with Cena.

And I do appreciate Cena’s attempt of punking Cody backfired. It proves Cody’s point of the whole “you can’t wrestle,” aka Cody was easily able to escape the fireman’s carry cuz of his wrestling skills, but then it adds to the go-home math that Cena is winning. If you don’t think that, just remember that The Rock is backing Cena. They didn’t wanna repeat last year’s string of The Rock beating the snot out of Cody, but that doesn’t mean The Rock won’t be there to influence things.

My Score: 8.9/10

Another theft of a belt, but MXM makes Sammy watch as Johnny CLOBBERS Dustin with the belt!! Sammy gets free and covers up Dustin, but Johnny BOOTS him, too! The champions are down, the fans boo, but MXM TV, the Vanilla Baby and Big Shotty stand tall. Will the days of Dustin, Sammy & The Von Erichs on top numbered now?

After The Dark Order win…

The Frat House makes their entrance for their match, but uh, it isn’t just Jacked Jameson, Preston Vance, Griff Garrison & Cole Karter. Are these three new guys in the Frat House merch shirts… “Pledges?” Evil Uno & Alex Reynolds don’t know what to make of this, but then Jameson has a mic. “Listen up, Dark Order. You used to be the biggest group in AEW. And now it’s just the two of you losers. Meanwhile… Shut up! The Frat House has become so popular, we’ve got people dying to be in our group! If I say, ‘chug,’ they chug!” And in fact, these pledges do chug. And if Jameson says fight, they fight for their lives! “Because win or lose, we booze!”

The Pledges know that when Jameson says “win,” the Frat wins, and they lose. W-What? The Pledges turn around, and they get CLOBBERED! Vance, Karter & Griff THROW these guys around! Vance DECKS Love Doug, Karter TOSSES TJ Crawford, and Vance CLOBBERS Charles Mason! Vance takes a bow while Griff HEADBUTTS Doug, and Jameson holds up the paddle! Uno & Reynolds come back with chairs, but only to sit and watch what The Frat House is about. Well, Karter TOSSES Crawford, Griff puts Doug in the ring, and this is still a match? The bell rings, so yes.

The Frat House VS Love Doug, TJ Crawford & Charles Mason!

Griff tags Karter, Karter tags Vance, and Karter whips Doug to the corner. Vance & Griff BOOT SANDWICH, then feed to Karter’s DROPSAULT! The fans boo, Uno & Reynolds mockingly applaud, but Mason runs in! But he gets a DOUBLE FLAPJACK! Crawford runs up, but into a SPINEBUSTER from Vance! The Frat House taunt the Dark Order, but Doug throws hands! The fans rally but Griff KNEES Doug low! Then Griff & Vance ROLLING ELBOW SANDWICH! Karter hits a KNEE! IVY LEAGUE FOREARM from Griff! DISCUS LARIAT from Vance! Cover, The Frat House wins!

Winners: The Frat House, by pinfall

It seems the match wasn’t enough, The Frat House are beating up on the “Pledges” for no reason! Uno & Reynolds bring the chairs into the ring! They run The Frat House outta here, but Vance mocks them all the same. Uno says yeah, he’s so strong doing that to these guys, huh? When and where will The Dark Order prove they’ve still got what it takes?

Sit-down interview with Serena Deeb & Queen Aminata.

Lexy Nair sits down with The Professor of Pro-Wrestling and the One True African Queen, with a very familiar shape underneath a red cloth. Lexy has some very exciting news. For the first time ever, ROH is announcing a WOMEN’S PURE CHAMPIONSHIP! The belt is revealed, and with it, a Women’s Pure Rules Division is born! Lexy continues to say that the Men’s Pure Championship has a rich history, a star-studded list of champions, from Samoa Joe to Bryan Danielson to Nigel McGuinness, Katsuyori Shibata, Wheeler Yuta, Daniel Garcia, and of course, the current champion, Lee Moriarty.

Now, tonight, ROH announces a tournament to crown the inaugural Women’s Pure Champion, and these two are here because they will be the very first match of said tournament! To start with Serena, a Pure Rules match should be in the favor of the Professor, shouldn’t it? Serena says yes, she is currently the best pure technical wrestler on the roster, everyone here knows it. Whether they like it or not, all the fans know it. So this title right here, that was practically created for her. Is she the favorite? Of course she is! And her playbook, her bible of technical wrestling, is not just the list of 1000 holds but it is her life’s work.

Would Aminata like this? Probably not since she turned Serena down last time. This is 20 YEARS of Serena’s sacrifice, her experience, and her knowledge. Something Aminata’s generation knows nothing about! Aminata can’t even begin to fathom the sacrifices Serena has had to make. She wrestled all over the world. Wherever Aminata wants to go, Serena’s already been there. Would Aminata call herself a Pure Wrestler? In what world? Serena is going to stretch the respect out of Aminata at Supercard of Honor. Aminata will respect Serena, she will respect Serena’s business, and she will respect the Book of 1000 Holds.

Aminata says she knows going into this match, she is the underdog. And that is fine. She does not have 20 years of experience. But one thing she has, is that every single time she steps in the ring, she learns, she grows, and she gets better. And better, and better, and better. It isn’t about how many times you get knocked down, but about how many times you get back up. Every single time Aminata gets back up, you know she gets back up swinging like her life depends on it. That is because she believes in herself. Deep down in her heart, Aminata is already a champion. Be careful what you wish for, because Aminata may have learned more than what you think. This student is now going to be the master.

Lexy says may the best woman win. Who else will be entered into this historic championship tournament? And will it be the Professor or the Queen that comes away with the title in the end?

Six Man Tag: Atlantis Jr, Fuego & Esfinge VS Euforia, Barbaro Cavernario & Zandokan Jr!

Well, turns out we’re getting more CMLL lucha libre featured here on ROH! Fitting as AEW Grand Slam: Mexico was announced for June 18th! But will the trio of water, fire and sphinx win again? Or will bringing in the Lucha Pirate help The Colossus and the Caveman finally stand tall?

The trios slowly sort out and Fuego offers the Code of Honor. Barbaro accepts, but then Euforia BOOTS Fuego down! Atlantis SUPERKICKS Euforia! Zandokan SHOTGUNS Atlantis! Esfinge RANAS Zandokan, then whips Barbaro. Barbaro reverses, runs up, but Esfinge BOOTS him! But Barbaro does the worm!? The fans fire up, but then Esfinge sunset flips! Cover, Euforia tries to break it but Atlantis rolls him up! Fuego rolls Zandokan up, multiple covers! TWO!! The lucha chaos continues as Esfinge tries another roll-up! Fuego rolls Zandokan again, Atlantis keeps Euforia out of the way, TWO!!

Atlantis snapmares Euforia to ghost pin, TWO! Barbaro BOOTS Atlantis! The rudos have Fuego and they put him against the ropes. Zandokan winds up and CHOPS! The fans fire up and Euforia whips Fuego. Zandokan drops down, Euforia SPINEBUSTERS Fuego, and Barbaro adds stomps! Barbaro does his caveman dance, then runs, for the IMPLODER SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Fuego survives, Zandokan argues the count, but then Esfinge runs in! Zandokan blocks the kick, Euforia KICKS the leg! Barbaro drags Esfinge up to bump him off buckles, then CHOPS! Esfinge sits down, Zandokan stands on him!

The ref reprimands as Zandokan also pulls at the mask. Zandokan stops, Esfinge bails out, and Atlantis storms in! But Barbaro kicks him first! Barbaro ROCKS Atlantis, then he and Euforia double whip. Barbaro runs in, but into a scoop BACKBREAKER! Zandokan CLOBBERS Atlantis, but Esfinge and Fuego both get in! They dodge Euforia and Zandokan, then Esfinge gives Fuego the boost to DOUBLE DROPKICK! Euforia & Zandokan tumble out, Barbaro LARIATS Esfinge! Barbaro fires hands on Fuego, runs, but Fuego goes Matrix! Fuego stands, does his dance, and the fans fire up! Fuego RAMS Barbaro, spins to POSE! Then spins to POSE!

Fuego runs now, then flips over Barbaro to arm-drag! The fans fire up but Euforia returns. Fuego dodges him, shoves him, hurdles over and rolls back to go up and arm-drag again! Fuego keeps moving, jumps up, but Euforia stops the rana! Euforia swings Fuego back up to POWERBOMB! Esfinge runs up, he and Euforia dosido, and Esfinge sends Euforia to the corner. Euforia goes up and over, but Esfinge DREAMCAST KICKS! The fans fire up, Esfinge runs at Euforia in the corner, MONKEY FLIP! The fans rally as Esfinge runs in, but Euforia blocks the monkey flip! Esfinge BELL CLAPS then MONKEY FLIPS!

Euforia bails out, Zandokan runs in, but Esfinge dodges to SUPERKICK! Esfinge fires up and the fans are with him! Esfinge runs up, but no monkey flip! Zandokan ALABAMA SLAMS! Then he underhooks Esfinge to TIGER DRIVER! Cover, TWO! Esfinge survives, Euforia is frustrated, and Zandokan brings Esfinge up. Zandokan whips Esfinge to a corner, then runs up to CHOP! The fans fire up for those heavy hands, and he stands Esfinge back up. Zandokan runs in, but Atlantis GAMANGIRIS! Zandokan staggers back, Atlantis goes up, CROSSBODY! Zandokan gets up to BOOT! Atlantis GAMANGIRIS again! The fans fire up, but Euforia trips Atlantis!

Euforia BOOTS Atlantis, then he and Zandokan soak up the heat. They and Barbaro mug Atlantis on the ropes, and they go after his mask! The fans boo and the ref counts, so the rudos whip Atlantis to DOUBLE HIP TOSS into a TRIPLE POWERBOMB! Euforia drags Atlantis around, and he’s pulling at the mask! The fans boo, the ref counts, Atlantis holds on for dear life, but Euforia stops to tag Barbaro. Then a tag to Zandokan, and they whip Atlantis to a corner. Euforia runs up, Atlantis dodges, and Euforia POSTS himself! Atlantis runs up, and uses Zandokan to get up and RANA Barbaro! Then Atlantis dodges Zandokan to tilt-o-whirl RANA!

Atlantis runs, and he handsprings to DOUBLE ARM-DRAG! The fans fire up, but then Zandokan y Barbaro DOUBLE DROPKICK Atlantis out! Fuego y Esfinge run in and DOUBLE RANA! The fans fire up as now Fuego builds speed, and Esfinge gives him a boost, to the apron? Because now Fuego holds the ropes open for Esfinge to DIVE onto Zandokan! Fuego ASAI MOONSAULTS onto Barbaro! Atlantis has Euforia for a SNAP POWERSLAM! And then he goes right up the corner, for a FROG SPLASH!! Cover, Team Atlantis wins!

Winner: Atlantis Jr, Fuego & Esfinge, by pinfall

Another trio match, another win for Atlantis and his amigos! Will this same energy fill all of Arena Mexico when AEW & ROH visits CMLL for the Summer?

My Thoughts:

A very good episode of ROH at just over an hour, but Tony Khan’s doing too much. And I don’t mean the ROH Women’s Pure Championship, that is great to have. But I hope we aren’t only getting Aminata VS Deeb for Supercard of Honor, we need the whole opening round. TK’s pacing with the women’s division is pretty bad, so hopefully we can crown a champion at like Death Before Dishonor in July as opposed to some time in December. Also, like, Aminata VS Deeb should’ve happened before this to hype this match as a rematch but again, bad pacing.

Great stuff with more luchadores tonight, and bookending with Bandido & Komander winning over Infantry and then another CMLL main event was good stuff. I do appreciate Shane Taylor himself is clearly making a move on the ROH World Championship, that’ll be a good feud with Bandido. Good stuff with this Dark Order VS Frat House build, especially taking what was a squash match and making it feed story. I really hope the big moment in this is the Dark Order getting back some members. John Silver is still recovering from a torn hamstring, but maybe he can return, and then they can bring Stu Grayson back for just one more match to take the fight to the Frat boys.

And very good stuff with the Sons of Texas tonight. They all won their matches, which makes sense, but it looks like they could end up in a big 8 Man Tag, or even a 10 Man if Dustin and team can recruit another Texas wrestler. One way or another, I feel like all the belts should be on the line to really add something to this.

My Score: 8.7/10
