PLAY BY PLAY
The Crown Jewel Championship is brought into the building.
It is in its own carrying case to keep it from creasing or moving around, and security verifies it is in good condition. Will this incredible prize be returning to SmackDown after Cody Rhodes and Gunther battle for it in two weeks?
Solo Sikoa goes to the ring.
Columbia, South Carolina boos as the Usurper of The Table leads the way for Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa. The fans chant “O T C! O T C!” while Solo grabs the mic. Solo is annoyed by all that, but he tells Columbia, SC, “Acknowledge me!” The fans boo and give thumbs down instead. They even chant “SOLO SUCKS! SOLO SUCKS!” Solo says they better get used to seeing this, because we are looking at the present and the future. We are looking at The Bloodline. And we are looking at The Tribal Chief! The fans boo more but Solo says he is the man that created a bigger and stronger family. Solo is the man that created a bigger and stronger Bloodline.
“And Roman Reigns can’t do nothing about it!” The fans boo more but Solo shakes his head. He says Jimmy can’t do nothing, either! And check this out. Jimmy goes to Monday Night Raw to get Jey’s help, but Jey doesn’t want nothing to do with this! The fans “YEET! YEET! YEET!” but Solo says, “No Yeet.” Solo says the beatdowns will continue to Roman unless he does one thing. Unless Roman comes down to this ring by the end of tonight, and acknowledges Solo. The fans boo even more, but “USO~!” Is that JEY!? Entering from the top of the crowd, it IS! Main Event Jey, THE Intercontinental Champion, returns to SmackDown!
The fans fire up and “YEET!” more as Jey makes his way down the stairs. Jey high fives all the way to ground level, and then hops the barriers to be ringside. Jey then steps up onto the apron, looks at Solo and his Enforcer, then gets on the corner to bounce along with the fans. The fans sing along, “It’s Just Me, Uce! Day One Ish!” Jey then hops down into the ring, and he grabs himself a mic. The fans “YEET!’ some more, and Jey says, “What’s up, little brother? It’s been a minute. I promise, I’m not out here to fight you. Cuz at the end of the day, I still care about you, you still my little brother.”
Jey wants Solo to look. Jimmy & Roman aren’t here yet, so Jey is here to talk with Solo one on one, Uce to Uce. Bro, just think about what you’re doing. Think about what this is doing to the family, what this is doing to The Bloodline. Jey says nobody’s got bigger issues with Roman than Jey. But dividing the family ain’t the way. Jey left the family, to be his own man. He went to Raw, and he became Intercontinental Champion! Look at that! The fans chant, “You Deserve It!” and Jey adds, “Yes, I Did~!” But Jey wants Solo to hear him out. Fighting over the ula fala is not the way. That right there is earned, not taken, and Solo should know better.
But if Solo wants to end Roman’s power, then do it. Just don’t divide the family while doing it. Solo asks if Jey is done wasting his time. Jey comes out here, “YEET! YEET!” Who said anything about dividing the family? Solo is trying to unite the family! And stop calling him “little brother.” He is Jey’s Tribal Chief now. Solo will always have a place for Jey and Roman in his Bloodline, he just has to acknowledge Solo. Solo doesn’t want Jey following in Jimmy’s footsteps, cuz look where it got him. So is Jey in? Or is he out? Fans say “NO! NO! NO!” and “O T C! O T C!”
Jey sighs, shakes his head, and says look. If what Solo is saying is true, and he’s trying to unite The Bloodline, then why did Solo go and get them? Tama, Loa, Jacob?! There’s a reason why the family stayed away from them, and if Jacob keeps staring at Jey like that, he’ll knock that ass out! The fans fire up as Jey steps to The Samoan Werewolf! Solo has Jacob stand down but the fans “YEET! YEET! YEET!” Jey says forget that, he’s not here for that. Next time Jey sees Solo, it’s gonna be different. Yeet. Jey leaves the ring now, but is there no escaping the family drama within the Samoan Dynasty?
WWE Tag Team Championships #1 Contenders Qualifier Triple Threat: DIY VS The Street Profits VS Pretty Deadly!
The Bloodline survived the Triple Threat Ladder Match for the titles, but that means they need new challengers. Or perhaps in this case, some old challengers come back around? Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano want one more chance, as do Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford, but Kit Wilson & Elton Prince just want their first! Who will move on from here to be that much closer to a shot at gold?
The teams sort out, and in this type of Triple Threat, every team gets a legal man. Elton starts against Ford and Ciampa, only to bail out pretty quickly. Kit regroups with Elton. Kit fires up, he storms over to Ciampa and UPPERCUTS! Ciampa flops to ropes, Kit RAMS Ford into the Pretty Deadly corner. Kit CHOKES Ciampa, tags Elton, and Elton stomps Ford. Kit pushes Ciampa away and Elton tags him back in. Pretty Deadly put Ciampa in a corner, Elton UPPERCUTS! Pretty Deadly coordinate, but then they both miss the dropkicks! Ciampa and Ford crawl for their corners, hot tag to Dawkins and Gargano! Dawkins and Gargano rally on Pretty Deadly with LARIAT after LARIAT! Dawkins CYCLONE SPLASHES Elton in one corner while Gargano hits a forearm SMASH on Kit in the other!
Then Gargano and Dawkins trade, CYCLONE SPLASH on Kit and forearm SMASH on Elton! Gargano then runs and Dawkins gives him a boost to DROPKICK Kit! Then a boost to DROPKICK Elton! Dawkins sends Gargano in again, but Kit puts Gargano out. So Gargano SUPERKICKS Elton! Kit ELBOWS Dawkins, ELBOWS Gargano, runs, but into a SLINGSHOT SPEAR! Dawkins then TOSSES Gargano out! Gargano gets on the apron, but Dawkins storms up. Gargano GAMANGIRIS, and SLINGSHOT SPEARS into the Silencer!! Cover, TWO!! Gargano survives that twist, but Dawkins stays cool. And stomps Kit on the face! Kit flounders, Ciampa bumps him off buckles, and then CHOPS again! And again! And again! Kit eggs Ciampa on so he gets MACHINE GUN CHOPS for it! Kit sputters and falls over, the fans fire up with Ciampa!
Ciampa puts Kit up top, to CHOP! Kit wobbles up top, Ciampa climbs up to join him, and CHOPS again! Ciampa fireman’s carries, SmackDown returns to single picture, SUPER AIR RAID CRASH! FORD 450 SPLASH!! Cover, Gargano breaks it! B-Fab is freaking out but Dawkins run sin, Gargano fires hands, Dawkins ROCKS him! Elton CLOBBERS Dawkins! Gargano BUZZSAWS Elton! Ford ENZIGIRIS Gargano! Ciampa runs up to BOOT Ford! Ciampa runs up on Dawkins, but into the POUNCE PLEX!! But Pretty Deadly TOSS Ford and cover Ciampa, TWO!! Kit is furious but Elton calls to him!

Ford climbs, Elton stagger sup, but Elton trips Ford up! Ford is stuck, Elton tags Kit! Pretty Deadly hurry up top and they have Ford, but Dawkins CLUBS them both! Dawkins DUMPS Kit, Electric Chair Lifts Elton, Ford is up! BLOCKBUSTER DOOMSDAY!! Kit takes a MEET IN THE MIDDLE!! Double covers, DOUBLE THREE COUNTS?!?
Winners…?
The ref says DIY pinned the legal man, Profits did NOT!! So by technicality, it is CIAMPA & GARGANO who are advancing! The Profits can’t believe it, but the Sicilian Psycho & Johnny Wrestling move on to THE #1 contenders match. Who will join them? Another Triple Threat is set for later tonight to figure that out.
Roman Reigns & Jimmy Uso arrive.
The OTC and #BigJim hop out the Chevy and Jimmy says Travis Scott is lit. He never heard that one. Cuz it ain’t out yet, get it? Jimmy does. Oh, and wait, Jey finds them? Jimmy is all smiles, but Roman not so much. Jey turns to go but Roman stops him. Roman looks Jey up and done, and says, “I’m proud of you. We all are.” Jey looks Roman up and done, and he says, “No Yeet.” Jey leaves, Jimmy can’t find the words, but Roman says, “I told you. C’mon.” The OGs are stuck in the past, but can Jimmy be the one to change the future?
Nia Jax is on the phone.
She says she can’t hear whoever this is, but asks, “What do you mean you have the flu, Tiffy? Now’s not the time to abandon me. Liv Morgan and her greasy boyfriend are trying to get in the way of me becoming the first ever Crown Jewel Champion. And then, I have Naomi on my back, and I thought tonight I could teach her a lesson, but if you have the sniffles, Nick Aldis is gonna have to cancel the match.” Nick Aldis is there to say no, the match is not canceled. Wait, what? Aldis says the match is not canceled. Nia tells Tiffany to shut up right now, and hangs up. Nia says her partner is sick, though.
Yes, but SmackDown has a deep, deep roster. Simple solution: find someone else. Who else?! Well look at the timing. Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell step in. Candice admires the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship on display but Nia steps in the way. Candice & Indi overheard Nia needs a tag partner, and well, Candice is the first-ever WWE Women’s Speed Champion. She wouldn’t mind helping out. Aldis likes the idea of two women’s champions working together. Nia says don’t even go there. Aldis says it smells like money to him. Nia says that’s her perfume. But look! It’s booked! Aldis even wrote it in a book.
Nia tells Candice that she better hold up her end, or Nia ends Candice, and it won’t take Nia three minutes. Nia storms off, Aldis says, “You’re welcome.” Will the Irresistible Force and the Poison Pixie find a way to work together against Naomi & Bayley?
Piper Niven w/ Chelsea Green VS Lash Legend w/ Jakara Jackson!
“Lil’ Miss P” and The Hot Mess are in part to blame for last week not going The Meta Four’s way, which leads us to the Scottish Viper battling the Bougie Bully. Will Piper prove that she and Chelsea are deserving of a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships? Or will Lash gain momentum for her and Miss Jackson before they go to Monday Night Raw?
SmackDown returns as The Meta Four’s leading ladies make their entrance. And speaking of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair watch from the front row. The bell rings and Lash talks trash on Piper. Lash then shoves Piper, but Piper shoves back. Lash talks more trash, daring Piper to run ropes. Lash pushes Piper, Chelsea says don’t let her do that to you! Lash headlocks Piper but Piper powers out. They RAM shoulders, and Lash is the one that staggers! Lash says Piper should try. Piper runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and she RUNS Lash over! The fans cheer Piper and Chelsea says you’re welcome.
Piper runs, but Lash avoids the splash! Lash kips up, and she BOOTS Piper down! Lash pushes Piper down to SPLASH! Cover, TWO! Lash is upset with the ref, but then she runs corner to corner at Piper. Piper catches Lash to SPINEBUSTER! Piper then runs to SENTON! Cover, TWO! The fans rally up, Piper talks trash back on Lash, and she calls her shot. Piper goes corner to corner to CANNONBALL, but into buckles! Lash avoids disaster, and she runs up to CHOP! And ROCK! Piper staggers, Lash clamps on a grip! Piper ELBOWS free, runs up, but Lash avoids a corner splash, to CORNER SPLASH in return!
Lash fireman’s carries?! But Piper slips free, HEADBUTTS Lash, and gets moving. Lash SCOOPS Piper! And SLAMS her! The fans are thunderous but Chelsea gets on the apron to shout at Lash! Lash runs Chelsea off, but Piper is in a corner. Jakara handles Chelsea by throwing her into barriers! Piper still SPLASHES Lash! Lash falls into the drop zone, and Piper roars as she climbs up! VADER BOMB FLOPS as Lash dodges again! Lash hurries to clinch, BOW ‘N’ ARROW RACK! BOUGIE SLAM!! Cover, Lash wins!
Winner: Lash Legend, by pinfall
The StrongEST Duo has to admit, that was good. Lash is building her legend, will she and Jakara soon take over the Women’s Tag Division? Or does Damage CTRL have something in store for them on Raw?
Roman Reigns is back in the suite.
But Jimmy is sitting a little too close. Jimmy apologizes, it was the Wise Man spot. Well, he’s not The Wise Man. Jimmy says he knows, but listen. He still thinks they should talk with Jey. Roman says if Wise Man were here, this would be done by now. They saw Jey, they talked to him, Jey made it clear, that’s it. But hey, Jimmy tried, now to do it Roman’s way. Roman will fix this tonight. How is he gonna do that? Roman says… he will acknowledge Solo. What?! Is that really where Roman is going with this?
Cody Rhodes is here!
Columbia cheers The American Nightmare and sings along with the song, “WHOA~ OH~!” Cody gets his pyro, he gives high-fives to the front row, and he is even welcomed into the ring by the attendants to the Crown Jewel Championship. The men’s title sits on the pedestal while “WHOA~ OH~,” Cody gets more pyro. Cody takes a look at the Crown Jewel title, then grabs himself a mic. The fans cheer on “CODY! CODY!” and he says before his remarks, we have an unbelievably sized crowd this evening. He wants to make sure we say hi to everyone up there, over there, and around here.
Cody says a very wise individual told him recently, “When it comes to the pantheon of top men and top women in professional wrestling, who would be the next leader? The next one doesn’t always look like the last one.” That is something Cody’s been thinking on quite a lot lately. But in regards to this Crown Jewel Championship, it isn’t about the next one, or the last one, but about who will be the first one. So many “what ifs” in the history of this sport. Let’s go down that road: What if the NWA Worlds Champion, Harley Race, fought against the WWWF’s Bruno Sammartino? What if the AWA’s Nick Bockwinkle went against The Nature Boy, Ric Flair?
What if WCW’s Bill Goldberg had fought WWF’s Stone Cold Steve Austin? And what if all of these What Ifs did come true, and the outcomes weren’t quite satisfactory? When it comes to Crown Jewel, at the end of that night, there will be a definitive Crown Jewel Champion. Again, champion VS champion, Cody won’t stand here and disparage his opponent, the World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther. Widely respected by peers and legends alike, he could chop a tree down with his hand. Most men walking around here are terrified of Gunther. But Cody’s not. And even if he was, Cody wouldn’t bet against himself.
Why does Cody think he is leaving as Crown Jewel Champion? For starters, look at this thing! They’ve been saying all night, one of the most beautifully designed belts in the history of this sport. But beauty is only skin deep. In the last 2+ years, we all, Cody and the WWE Universe, have gotten to know each other, haven’t we? The fans cheer yes, so Cody says we know that when he came back, he wanted to take the John Cena schedule, the workhorse model. We did do that, we even added to that. Cody has bled, sweat and paid the price, and he is not foolish to think he is done paying that price. The fans cheer that.
But again, that is skin deep. The real reason he thinks he is leaving as Crown Jewel Champion is sitting at home right now. She’s three foot tall, and Cody needs her to know that when Cody turns to dust, his title will be attached to this Crown Jewel Championship as the very first. He needs her to know that the name given to him is the same name given to her, and it will matter. She will know that you play the game not to lose but to win! The fans cheer that! Now, Cody would like to invite to next week’s SmackDown, Gunther to stand in the ring with him.
Cody wants to ask Gunther’s reasons for all this, and he wants to look Gunther in the eyes to say, “Hey, Champ, whaddya wanna talk about?” The American Nightmare has extended an invitation to Der Ring General, will it be accepted?
Kevin Owens speaks.
Via a video message from his car, The Prizefighter says, “I’ve been in WWE now for about 10 years. Actually, it’s been over 10 years just recently. And I’ve had a lot of ups and downs over those 10 years, but I don’t think things have ever felt as bad as they do right now. Because for WWE officials to tell me to stay home and not come to work, not come to SmackDown, where I belong, because of what I did to Cody Rhodes after Bad Blood… is just so unfair and ridiculous. I mean, look at what we’ve WWE superstars do to each other in and out of the ring, in the locker rooms, all the ambush attacks and beatdowns.
“And I get told to stay away? Because I dropped their little golden boy outside of his bus? Ugh. C’mon. That really… It really makes me ask myself just how appreciated and valued I am by this company. But that I can live with, I can kinda get past that. What I can’t get over is what Randy Orton did to me. Randy, I can’t believe that you betrayed me like that. I… You can let people say whatever they want about me, ‘Kevin Owens turns on all his friends, blah blah blah,’ it doesn’t matter. I would’ve never done that to you, ever. I thought what we had was different. Dude, I… I just can’t believe you’d pick Cody Rhodes over me.
“And I gotta be honest with everybody, with everything that’s happening right now, between the disrespect shown to me by the WWE and Randy breaking my trust like that, I… I really don’t know if or when I can come back.” KO is putting out an ultimatum of sorts, what will WWE do in response?
Nick Aldis meets with Randy Orton.
Speaking of that response, The Viper says he doesn’t know what anyone else has planned, but he needs to get his hands on Kevin Owens and it needs to happen at Crown Jewel. Aldis had a feeling he’d say that. Aldis is sorry, but it is not something he can do right now. What? Not something Aldis can do? Orton needs to understand. It isn’t that Aldis won’t, it’s that he can’t. No, Aldis isn’t understanding Orton. Aldis says it is Orton not understanding. Orton says he wasn’t asking permission, he is demanding Kevin at Crown Jewel. Aldis says with all due respect, he is saying he can’t, because this is coming from higher up.
Oh, okay, then Orton knows who he needs to talk to. Is Orton going to go over Aldis’ head to ask The Game for this one?

Sabin & Shelley VS Gargano & Ciampa, that’s a dream match right there! But who will be the team that goes after the Guerrillas of Destiny?
Backstage interview with Andrade and Carmelo Hayes.
Byron Saxton is with both El Idolo and H1M, saying that next week is the proverbial “Game 7” in this rivalry. Melo has Byron skip all that. Andrade says this is what he’s talking about with Melo! So disrespectful, just shut up and let Byron ask the question! Melo says Andrade is the one who needs to shut up, no one is here to hear him talk either. Byron tries to cool everyone down, but Melo and Andrade start throwing hands! Security and producers rush in, Melo loads up with his gold chain, and he GUT PUNCHES Andrade! Aldis storms in and tells Melo to get out of here! Melo already got his shot in, will he not miss the game winner? Or will Andrade teach Melo a thing about respect?
Nia Jax & Candice LeRae w/ Indi Hartwell VS Naomi & Bayley!
They always say “card subject to change,” so here we are. The Queen of the Ring wanted Miss Money in the Bank by her side, but it seems Cold & Flu Season is already here. Will Nia make do with the brand new WWE Women’s Speed Champion? Or will they all #FeelTheGlow?

Nia looks over, and is actually surprised this happened! The WWE Women’s Speed Champion found the way to take down a former WWE Women’s Champion, and she gets to celebrate alongside the current WWE Women’s Champion. Will Nia find she has more allies than just Tiffany?
Backstage interview with Nick Aldis.
Byron is now with the SmackDown General Manager, and Byron brings up what we saw with Andrade and Carmelo Hayes. Aldis says Andrade and Melo have been escorted from the building, because they aren’t settling this backstage, they’re settling this in the ring. That is next week in Brooklyn. But because this is such a personal issue, and because this is Game 7, time for a special guest referee who can handle business, and who quite frankly hates both men equally. And in steps LA Knight. Knight says that’s the funny part, because he really has no reason to get involved. He beat both men twice already!
If Aldis wants Knight to put on the zebra stripes, Knight will do it. He’ll be the best referee WWE has ever seen! In 20 years, you can put him in the WWE Hall of Fame as both wrestler and ref. Knight tells Andrade and Melo that if they step in there, he’s calling it down the middle. You think you’re signing up for a shot at the US Championship? NAH NAH! All you’re signing up for is to get smacked back to factory settings, and your aspirations for a title shot go up in smoke. That’s just how it is, YEAH! The Mega Star will become the Mega Referee, but will he be able to keep his emotions out of it when calling El Idolo VS H1M?
Roman Reigns heads to the ring!
Columbia, South Carolina puts up the ones for THE ONE TRUE CHIEF! Roman raises his finger, and the pyro goes off! Roman slowly brings his hand back down, a lot on his mind. Roman said he would acknowledge Solo, but is that true? We find out, after the break.
SmackDown returns and the fans chant “O T C! O T C!” as Roman stands in the ring. Roman has a mic to tell Columbia, SC, “Maybe for the last time… ACKNOWLEDGE ME!” The fans cheer, but then here comes Solo. The former Enforcer, the Usurper of the Table, the new Tribal Chief, makes his way down to the ring to join Roman Reigns. The two circle each other while the fans boo Solo and continue to chant “O T C! O T C!” Roman says earlier tonight, he heard Solo telling Jey that the family is stronger now. Solo told Jey that The Bloodline was stronger now. Roman doesn’t see. He doesn’t see anything that tells him they’re all better off now.
If anything, they’re divided and broken. After everything they’ve been through, from the Spring to what they lost in the Summer, and they stand here divided like this…? “Solo, I told my father that I could fix this. All I want to do… is put us back in the Promised Land. I want titles around our waists, I want paydays coming from the Heavens. I want abundance! I want our family to be priority! Tell me what I have to do to fix this.” Solo starts laughing? Solo says, “What you have to do? That’s an easy fix, Roman! What do you have to do to fix this? I’ll tell you what. All you have to do… is acknowledge me.”
The fans boo, and Roman has that look like he knew it would come to this. The fans again chant “O T C!” but Roman takes a moment before he says, “I acknowledge you.” The fans can’t believe it! Roman says there, happy? Does that make Solo feel better? Solo says no, no, no, Roman. That wasn’t good enough. Solo needs Roman to acknowledge him, as Tribal Chief. The fans boo and Roman twitches a bit. The fans tell him “NO! NO! NO!” but Solo is waiting. Solo tells Roman that he needs Roman to acknowledge him as Tribal Chief, or else. Roman asks, “Or else what?!” The fans fire up for that one!
Solo laughs again and says look at him! There it is! Roman never changed! Roman always wanted the ula fala. But since Roman never changed, neither will Solo. And he calls in Tama, Loa & Jacob, who are dragging Jimmy out here!! The fans boo as they make Roman look at Jimmy. The fans chant “YEET!” but Solo takes as wing! Roman dodges to fire off fists! Roman TOSSES Solo, but Tama runs in! Roman CLOBBERS Tama! And he CLOBBERS Loa! And he dodges Jacob to LEAPING LARIAT! The fans are thunderous, Solo returns, SUPERMAN PUNCH!! Roman sees the ula fala is on the mat!
The fans fire up as Roman picks up the ula fala! Roman looks it over, holds it up, and puts it on, only to get a LOW BLOW!! Solo takes the ula fala back, and his Bloodline beat Roman down! The fans continue to “YEET! YEET! YEET!” but Jacob gives Roman the IMPALER!! Solo talks trash on Roman, “Look at you now! You ain’t The OTC! This is MY ula fala! This is MY WWE!” The Bloodline beats Roman down more, and Solo prepares his thumb. Tama & Loa stand Roman up, and Solo tells him to look at him! SAMOAN SPIKE!! Roman is down, sputtering and writhing, and Solo says HE is the chief!
Solo mocks the lock ‘n’ load, then sits Roman up for another SAMOAN SPIKE!! Jacob holds up the ula fala as Solo stands over Roman. Jacob adorns Solo with the ula fala while the fans chant “SOLO SUCKS! SOLO SUCKS!” Solo says this is HIS ring, HIS ula fala, HIS Bloodline! The people acknowledge HIM now! The Bloodline stands tall over Roman Reigns, will this be how it is for the rest of time?
My Thoughts:
A great SmackDown here, maybe even awesome. I appreciate there being an apparent audible called in helping MCMG have a bigger debut than it was going to be as of last week. Just beating Los Garza would’ve only done so much for Shelley & Sabin in the eyes of exclusively WWE fans. But winning one of two awesome Triple Threats from tonight, MCMG beating Los Garza and former WWE Tag Team Champions in A-Town Down Under, that really establishes MCMG right away. The other Triple Threat having DIY win was a touch surprising, but they had such a genius finish to it. DIY VS MCMG really is a dream match, that’s not just fluff, but I would think MCMG wins to become #1 contenders to the tag titles.
Lash VS Piper was great stuff, the fans really took to Lash showing off her power game that is on par with Bianca & Jade. Lash & Jakara will also have a great match with Iyo & Kairi on Raw, that is for sure, and I again hope this all builds to something big for the Women’s Tag Team Championships. And really good stuff in the WWE Women’s Championship story, with Tiffany “out sick” tonight. Could just be good kayfabe to cover for travel issues, but having Candice & Indi stepping in is great stuff because we needed to see Candice & Indi get back on TV. Great detail that they also mentioned Candice is Women’s Speed Champion. Great tag match, and great win for Candice, I didn’t think that’d happen.
Candice & Indi could suggest the idea of teaming up with Nia more, making for a faction with Nia & Tiff, but it’d also still work if Nia rejects the idea. We just need to also establish Candice & Indi back in the SmackDown Women’s Division, and surely the Women’s Tag Division. And perhaps in a roundabout way, after we see Nia VS Liv at Crown Jewel and Nia VS Naomi at some later point, Candice finds her way into the Women’s Championship story, she does have the potential to be a great top champ if they’d push her.
Very good promo from Andrade and Melo to build heat on their “Game 7” match, and good promo from LA Knight as part of him becoming special guest ref but… Do we really need that? Knight himself started off by saying it, but I’m thinking of how NXT and Raw have both done a special guest ref match already this year. Is this the Nth anniversary of the special guest referee concept? Granted, with Knight involved, there’s a very good chance we get a draw and that causes a Triple Threat for the US Championship at Crown Jewel or Survivor Series. On one hand, that’s a bit lame, Best of 7 Series shouldn’t end like that. But on the other, it keeps both Andrade and Melo strong and that US Championship Triple Threat will be great stuff. Feels like a rare case of the HHH Era booking itself into a corner.
And The Bloodline story is back to being awesome. Great stuff with Jey confronting Solo about this Bloodline Civil War that’s brewing, great counter from Solo saying he isn’t the “little” brother anymore, and then great interaction of Jey with Jimmy & Roman backstage. Roman’s part was perhaps a bit contradictory, though. He tells Jimmy in their suite that he might actually have to acknowledge Solo, and then acts like he never said that. Roman has to ask Solo what Solo wants, and Solo says it is the “acknowledgement,” and Roman is reluctant. Solo’s guys going after Jimmy was a logical move, it’s what you’d expect out of like mafia movies, action movies and even superhero movies.
Fans wanted Jey to show up but we saw Jey leave, so he wasn’t going to make the save. Plus, they have to stretch this out to Survivor Series and WarGames. Solo’s Bloodline stands tall tonight, and that puts the pressure on the Face/OG Bloodline. Jimmy might go back to Raw to talk with Jey about what happened, Jey will still be reluctant, but something will certainly compel Jey to save Jimmy & Roman. And Jey can even go with a classic take on the trope, “I didn’t do it for you, I did it for the family.” Then all the OG Bloodline would need is one more person so they can go 4v4 with Solo’s Bloodline.
My Score: 8.8/10

Andrew’s TNA LIVE! iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 2.20.2025
So the first live episode got fairly positive praise from everyone; will this continue the trend?

Filming at Full Sail seems to have set the stage nicely this week! Going into a Live episode we got Moose and The Hardy Boyz on NXT, as well as Jordynne Grace’s involvement with Steph and Giulia giving a little shine to TNA happenings since she’s newly WWE.
This episode should be interesting, we finally see Lei Ying Lee (fka Xia Li) back in action, Rascalz take on Tyson and Tyriek, Tessa should be seeing some action as well…so generally interesting happenings for the second Live iMPACT! of 2025. Let’s see how this one goes down!
No matter where @ManceWarner and @stephdelander go, @TheSamiCallihan WILL FIND THEM!

Results:
Oh yeah, and another Hendry concert is…cut off by a commercial, LOLTNA. First Hendry is cut off by AXSTV’s new Anime Hour bumper, and now Primo and Epico are showing up in TNA. I definitely didn’t have this on my BINGO card. The crowd starts chanting “Where’s Carlito”, which they do acknowledge and play off of well. Oh they’re using their shoot names of Orlando and Eddie now…but before they attack the lights go out and we get another guitar strum! ELIAH/ELIAS/EZEKIEL/EBENERZER/EMERY/EL VAGABUNDO – shows up to back up Hendry. Okay I can apologize away the redundant concert since it played into an Elijah debut. The crowd is immediately popping and chanting “This is Awesome” 10 minutes into the show.
Tyson & Tyriek w/Wes Lee vs The Rascalz w/Ace Austin
Treehouse bros take it to the bigger men quickly, a few fast dives, a little MCMG style tandem strikes, Tyson fires and tries to take them out but they Low Bridge him. Tyriek comes in and they try similar things but Tyriek manhandles them both and throws them out of the ring, Trey is the first one back up and Tyriek and Tyson take his damn head off with his Corkscrew Running Euro Upper. Trey finally manages to flip out of the manhandle, tags in Wentz and Wentz goes for the hot and spicy cleaning house spot. Corner to Corner Knee Lifts for both big men, a Rolling Snapmare, into a Superkick for Tyson and Standing Shoot Star on Tyriek but only for two because Wes feints like he’s going to interfere.
Tyson and Tyriek pull off a tandem Assisted Backdrop Driver, but Wentz breaks it up, Tyson gets knocked out, Wentz hits the Tornillo, Wes tries to interfere again after Trey gets perched on the corner buckle but Ace runs around and trips Wes at the last second causing him to faceplant on the apron, Trey hits the Meteora, Wentz hits a Swanton from the other side of the ring and Trey gets the pinfall victory.
It was fast paced, all gas no brakes, but it didn’t overstay its welcome, so it was pretty fun all things considered.
After the match Wes grabs a mic, complains a little but challenges them to a 6 man match as Sacrifice. So we’re THAT’S where we’re getting the expected 3v3.
Fir$t Cla$$ comes out with an entourage of hot chicks and probably influencers or something. The “First Class Penthouse” , Gabby AF, Mafiosa Valentina, and Carolina are apparently known in their own way. Gabby I know was the awful one who did something for Impact a last year and sucked, but she’s part of the Busted Open Network I believe so that’s why she’s around. Two of them look like Noelle Foley and Frank the Clown…oh they actually are. Look at that. I do love KC Navarro as the Hype Man, they have this whole set up of AJ being mad that they haven’t gotten more Tag Title shots, so TNA placated him with his own Piper’s Pit and he’s *pregnant pause* totally happy with that. He says he loved Piper and hated Hogan before it was cool.
This is actually quality content and AJ is cutting a nice promo in this segment. They introduce their first guest, the greatest performer in TNA history, many whole say he’s Phenomenal with a whole lot of style….it’s A-J-Francis.
.@AJFrancis410 is GOING OFF!

Lei Ying Lee vs Rosemary
Things were slow until Rosemary took her into a corner quickly, hit the Upside Down, and we get a lot of Lei trying to avoid Rosemary’s offense. Rosemary goes for a Spear in the corner and Lei forward rolls, starts connecting with a bunch of right hands, backs Rosemary into the corner, goes for 10 Count Punches, pulls her out, Airplane Spin TKO for only a two count. Rosemary tries As Above So Below, Lei shrugs it off, Rosemary tries to go after Lei anyway and eats Thunderstruck! Lei Ying Lee wins!
After the match Rosemary catches Lei on the ramp and hits the Green mist in the eyes. Match was far too short and so many of Lei’s set up moves look better than her finish. We’ve seen Kofi Kingston do it for years so it’s not bad, just the current Knockouts Division are awful and don’t take the move well.
Eric Young and the jabronis come out, EY cuts a very basic power crazed psycho kind of promo, gets the “What” chants from the crowds. EY is trying to recruit Maclin even though Maclin made his line in the sand last week. EY tries to spin it as maybe he took out Josh FOR Maclin instead of in spite of his trust. This really doesn’t seem interesting at all, but that’s probably because I hate the two Jabronis EY is with.
NoDQ Match: Leon Slater vs JDC
I really don’t have any interest in Slater. He’s got no personality beyond “flippy guy with a British accent”.
Dango immediately powders, grabs a chair and goes to swing on him but misses. So Leon is making JDC look dumb by dodging the post chop, using the chair to shield himself from a punch by JDC, and then clapping Dango’s fingers between the chair. So typical System match, look inept for the first few minutes, then take advantage of something to take over. Oh look, Leon takes too long setting up the table, Dango gets in a few pot shots, tries to whip him into the table but Leon leaps over it, and then leaps back over to clobber Dango. Dango is still trying to recover so Leon hits his over the corner post con hilo, and the crowd appreciates it but I’m not interested. Leon panders to the crowd after the big spot and then eats an X-Plex into the chair from Dango.
JDC throws Leon back in, goes for a pinfall that’s only a two and we cut to a commercial. Coming out of the commercial JDC is in control with a Kendo Stick until he isn’t, Leon counters and takes the keno stick, brutalizes Dango a few times then comes off the ropes with the kendo shot for 2. Leon goes for another table, and again, at least the crowd is receptive to this match. Leon sets it up, looks for something off the apron but Dango stops him first until he eats a dropkick to fall onto the table, Leon hits the Swanton 450 through the table on the outside. Does it look cool? Sure. Do I care about dumbass moves? Nope.
Oh thankfully the rest of The System comes out to stop the pinfall, Shield Bomb Leon through the first table, and roll him back in for Dango to win.
The Hardy Boyz come out to try and make the save, but the numbers are against them, so Oba Femi’s music hits! Oba cleans house but doesn’t get his hands on Moose, so they’re at least building the eventual clash between Moose and Oba.
The crowd starts a “Tessa, we comin for you” chant before she even starts talking. Tessa is actually playing off the crowd well, Santino’s music hits and Tessa thinks he’ll help her out with the crowd and Santino calls bullshit basically. Santino says if Tessa doesn’t wrestle next week, she’s fired and Masha’s music hits. Masha decides to step in for Tessa’s enhancement talent match.
Masha Slamovich vs Mila Moore
Jobber tries to attack Masha early but Masha stops her, rocks her and Requiem ends the match.
Masha stares down Tessa, and then Cora Jade attacks from behind and hits Jaded.
Ryan Nemeth comes out to his Abyss music remix. What will Mokuba say today? “MYYYY BIIIGG BBRROOOOTTHHHEEEEER” he repeats at least 4 times and it’s hilariously cringe. He announces that Nic will return at Sacrifice, he literally just came out to give a PSA.
Elijah & Joe Hendry vs The Colons
Hendry starts with Eddie, after a brief tie up it seems like Hendry reads the room and points at Elijah and the crowd wants him in. So Joe tags in Elijah, a little back and forth, Shoulder Tackle from Elijah, Rope Walk with Elijah lays out Eddie and a tag to Joe allows for a quick tandem knockdown, but Eddie powders as the Walking and Talking Duo hold the ring going into the final commercial break.
We come back and Hendry is bouncing Orlando off the ropes as he return a strike, but Orlando is obviously losing, eats a Euro Upper, and then gets walked around in the Stalling Suplex for posterity. Eddie tries a sneak attack but gets caught and Sack of Shit, into Kip Up, turn and then Orlando with the ambush! A few quick short cuts and an Irish Whip/Dropkick combo gives the Colons a near fall. Hendry does get locomotion variation cradles, but eats a Dropkick to stop the attempt at momentum. Orlando stays on Joe, but Joe finally starts to fire up as the crowd starts to get behind him. Euro Uppers make some space, but a Snapmare says no.
Eddie gets tagged in and a quick Leg Sweep into a Front Chancery keeps Eddie in control. As Joe tries to get back up, Eddie turns it into a Guillotine, but finally the Suplex counter connects for Hendry! Simultaneous tags! Elijah bulls over Orlando, catches a Leap Frogging Orlando with the Manhattan Drop as Orlando retreats to a corner, Stinger Splash into Spinebuster for two. Elijah tries to keep up the attacks but Orlando finds a few ways to make space, launches himself from the middle rope and eats the Jumping Knee! Eddie breaks up the pinfall, Hendry takes Eddie out and Elijah hits the Tombstone Piledriver for the win!
Overall Score: 6/10
Well there were more live hiccups than the first episode, and this felt both more epic and less epic at the same time. Elijah and the Colons debuting was a nice way to kick things off, Oba Femi showing up for the save was fantastic. There were a few decent matches, but also a lot of really short and rushed matches. Tessa played off the crowd well, but Masha really is useless on the mic. Lei Ying Lee needs to framed stronger, her matches have done nothing to show off her ability. It just proves that the Knockouts don’t know how to sell a kick to the head because they all take it in the shoulder and fall in corny ways.
Viva La Sam could be something fun if the next 3 weeks are just hand cam footage of him being like “I’m Sami Callihan and I’m gonna kick Mance Warner’s ass”, Elegance Clique getting the rematch with a stipulation is nice to see and while I like Fir$t Cla$$, that segment went a little long for a cornball swerve payoff. It’s one thing to placate the Influencer squad especially when we’ve seen Logan Paul and Ishowspeed do so well in WWE…but these are like Z Tier Influencers that no one cares about. These kind of dorks stream on Kick because they aren’t relevant enough for Twitch, not because they chose Kick over it.
So yeah, the low lights were pretty low, and the highs were a little fleeting, but at least they were pretty fun. Not a bad show, just clunky with noticeable issues and Masha shouldn’t be allowed to speak English anymore. She’s such a charisma vacuum when she’s not rambling in Russian.

Fuego Del Sol VS Wheeler Yuta!
Lucha night opens with a hot start as the Fire of the Sun returns to ROH, but so does The Decoder! Will Fuego Del Sol get one up on a former ROH Pure Champion turned current AEW World Trios Champion? Or will Yuta do the Death Riders proud in Houston?
Houston cheers on the Texas star, and Fuego offers the Code of Honor. Yuta reaches out, but then SLAPS Fuego! The fans boo and the bell rings, Yuta slips around to CLUB Fuego down! Yuta mocks the fans cheering on Fuego, then scoops him for a SLAM and SENTON! The fans boo but Yuta brings Fuego up. FISHERMAN SUPLEX! Bridging cover, TWO, but Yuta holds onto the leg! Yuta taunts Fuego, but Fuego kicks at him! Yuta lets go and the fans rally up. Yuta runs up, Fuego ELBOWS him away, then goes up, up and FLYING RANAS! The fans fire up as Fuego then DROPKICKS Yuta down!
Yuta staggers up, Fuego SLAPS him! But Yuta LARIATS in return! The fans boo but Yuta rains down fists! And then stops, to rain down more fists! The fans boo but Yuta soaks that up while he “kicks dirt” on Fuego. Yuta stands Fuego up, CHOPS him, then has him in a corner. Yuta CHOPS Fuego again, the fans boo, but Yuta whips corner to corner hard! Fuego staggers forward, Yuta says they ain’t done yet. Yuta whips Fuego to the corner again, then FLAPJACKS on the rebound! Yuta adds a basement DROPKICK! The fans boo but Yuta soaks up heat. Yuta hits a spinning toehold, then has a DEATHLOCK!
Fuego endures and Yuta mockingly asks if he’ll give up. Fuego refuses to give in, and he SLAPS Yuta! So Yuta bridges and puts on more pressure! Yuta shows off by not even using his hands, but Fuego fights his way to the ROPEBREAK! Yuta lets go at 4, and he reminds the ref, “I have ’til five!” The fans boo Yuta parodying Bryan Danielson, then Yuta kicks Fuego around. Yuta eggs Fuego on, so Fuego ROCKS him! And ROCKS him! And again, and again, and again! But Yuta gets under the big haymaker! Yuta back suplexes, but Fuego lands out! Fuego dodges Yuta to then springboard QUEBRADA! Down goes Yuta!
The fans fire up as Fuego kips up and SUPERKICKS! Yuta sputters, Fuego runs and STEP-UP DOUBLE STOMPS! The fans fire up again as Fuego climbs a corner! Yuta stands, Fuego MISSILE- NO, Yuta gets under and comes back, BUSAIKU KNEE! Cover, Yuta wins!
Winner: Wheeler Yuta, by pinfall
Another thing he took from The American Dragon is that big knee, and Yuta takes the victory. Yuta sits Fuego up, and thinks about Hammer ‘n’ Anvil elbows, but he decides not to. Because he gets an even more sadistic idea! Yuta looks under the ring, and he brings out a steel chain! Yuta threatens the ref, then he goes to Fuego! The fans boo but Yuta hooks Fuego’s legs up, then uses the chain to go up, up and away, ROMERO SPECIAL!! Yuta taunts Fuego but Fuego is coughing up blood! Yuta lets Fuego go, the fans boo, but Yuta mockingly gives the Code of Honor handshake. Yuta no longer has honor, but will someone find a way to humble him?
Rachael Ellering VS Abadon!
The Queen of Strong Smile is feeling good being in Houston, ready to bring that Comet energy. However, she’s up against the Living Dead Girl, who brings a very different vibe. Will Rachael learn why everyone fears Abadon? Or will Rachael’s smile see her through?
The Code of Honor is upheld, the bell rings, but uh, Abadon doesn’t let go. Rachael tries to get free, and now it is a tug-o-war. The fans rally, Rachael reels Abadon into a headlock, but Abadon BITES Rachael’s hand! The ref reprimands, Abadon lets go, and Abadon doesn’t get what’s wrong. Abadon runs up on Rachael but Rachael gets around to waistlock. Abadon switches, but Rachael goes to ropes to buck the O’Conner! Rachael CLOBBERS Abadon, but Abadon sits up! The fans rally, Rachael is frustrated, and then runs up. Abadon gets around, trips Rachael, then runs to basement dropkick! Rachael flounders to a corner and the fans rally again.
Abadon aims from a corner, runs in at Rachael, but Racahel ELBOWS Abadon away! Abadon says nuh-uh, comes back, but runs into a BOOT! Rachael runs and UPPERCUTS Abadon down! The fans fire up and Rachael aims from a corner. Rachael calls for the “SQUISH~!” and runs up, SENTON onto knees! Abadon avoids disaster and stalks Rachael to the apron. Abadon CLUBS Rachael, pushes her onto the apron, and springboards for a GUILLOTINE LEG DROP! The fans fire up and Abadon pushes Rachael into the ring. Abadon runs corner to corner for a METEORA! Abadon pushes Rachael to a cover, TWO!
Abadon is annoyed but brushes it off. Abadon drags Rachael up, but Rachael fights the suplex! Rachael wrenches out, trips Abadon, and high stacks, ONE!! Rachael ROCKS Abadon, then tries again. FISHERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up for the “MD Collapse” and Rachael aims again. SQUISH~ SENTON hits! Cover, TWO! Abadon survives and Rachael is a bit surprised. Rachael throws off the headband, double checks her teeth, and the fans duel. Rachael CHOPS Abadon at the ropes, then ROCKS Abadon with a forearm! Rachael whips but Abadon blocks! So Rachel CHOPS again! Rachael whips, Abadon grabs ropes, and laughs!
Rachael runs up, Abadon ELBOWS and CUTTERS! Then BLACK DAHLIA!! Cover, Abadon wins!
Winner: Abadon, by pinfall
Abadon continues to be terrifying, as well as victorious. Will the ROH Women’s Division, and especially the champions, have to watch their backs?
Backstage interview with Jacked Jameson.
Lexy Nair is with the former Iron Savage, and he’s counting his abs. She brings us back to a few weeks ago when he walked up to Griff Garrison, Preston Vance & Cole Karter in hopes of forming a group with them. Then in Jacksonville, Jameson actually interfered in their match on their behalf. The question is, what’s going on here? Jameson says those are his boys! His guys! His dudes! Jameson went out there, helped them, it was huge! It was awesome! Speaking of, the boys walk in! Vance tells Jameson that they’ve heard his offer, they loved what he did in Jacksonville, and tonight is a big match and… They’d love if he was a part of it.
So then, it’s official! They got him some Frat House gear! But first… he has to do something. Yeah, sure! Anything! Vance, Griff & Karter pour all of their drinks into one red Solo cup, and Jameson asks what’s in it. The boys say don’t worry about it. Jameson says don’t have to tell him twice. He chugs the concoction, and he is PUMPED! The Frat House is now four men strong, and Jameson says after tonight, party at the Frat House! Vance tells Jameson that one thing about them: win or lose, they booze! The Frat boys head out, Lexy can finally breathe from whatever was in that cup, and it’s time to see if Jameson passes the test!
12 Man Tag: The Premier Athletes & The Frat House VS Top Flight, The Outrunners & The Von Erichs!
Instead of “Smart” Mark Sterling, Tony Nese has the mic to tell Bobby Cruise to shut up, “no one wants to listen to your stupid voice.” Nese then tells the “fat boys and fat girls” of Houston, Nese & Daivari couldn’t think of a better partner for this match than an athlete that makes every single one of them put to shame! Yes, it’s SMART MARK himself! Wait, seriously? Sterling takes the mic to say that’s right, he is still here to make sure that the losers of Texas can take part in their winning cheer. So please, get this right. When he says, “Athletes,” you say, “Rule!” NOTHING ELSE! Hands in, boys. Ohhh…! “ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Gottee!
But with that, Dante & Darius Martin enter, accompanied by Leila Grey. Then Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd enter, and last but not least, Texas’ own, Marshall & Ross Von Erich! The massive teams sort out, and Darius starts against Nese. The fans rally up and Darius circles with Nese. Nese says wait, wait! He knows what the fans are here to see. Nese flexes, but the fans boo. Nese shouts, “ATHLETES!” The fans respond, “SUCK!” Nese and Darius circle, but then Nese kicks low! Nese bumps Darius off buckles, then tags in Daivari. “We’ll show you who sucks!” Nese & Daivari fire hands in the corner while the fans boo.
The ref counts, The Premier Athletes stop, and they both shout, “ATHLETES!” Again, the fans say, “SUCK!” Daivari tags Griff and they mug Darius. Griff ROCKS Darius, has him in a corner, then whips corner to corner. Darius goes up and over, rolls and arm-drags, then he DROPKICKS! The fans cheer, and Darius whips Griff into Dante’s BOOT! Tag to Dante, Darius CHOPS, Dante trips Griff, and Darius adds DOUBLE STMOPS! Griff scrambles, tag to Jameson, but Dante arm-drags Jameson! Dante keeps the armlock, he tags in Ross, and Ross wrenches to a wristlock. Ross YANKS the arm, then tags Marshall.

Will Sammy & Dustin just have to take the fight to MXM to get their stolen property back?
My Thoughts:
A very good ROH clocking in at an hour and 21 minutes, it feels like they’ve almost got this mastered for a good cable TV runtime. Though at the same time, we still had filler in Gates of Agony squashing Exodus & Josiah, and then both women’s matches were fairly quick. Billie squashing Hyan was in part to serve story as we did see Athena tell Billie to take things seriously, and then Billie takes her frustrations out on Hyan. Rachael VS Abadon could’ve been a little longer to build them both up in the standings, but Abadon winning makes sense as Abadon’s gotten closer to titles than Rachael has. And good promo from Velvet, but I’m not sure why we’re waiting so long to get to her and Leyla’s rematch.
Additionally, while that 12 Man Tag was some fun, just smashing together multiple teams for that was bordering on filler. Good to see The Von Erichs back given ROH was in Texas. And between The Von Erichs being in Texas and Sterling being introduced as one of the competitors, it was a given The Von Erichs and their team would win. Though it did work that The Outrunners got the finish, they’re the team riding high right now. I will say it’s good that “The Frat House” is a faction, but like, can’t the name have just be The Fraternity? Or like, Greek letters that make a fraternity name, but also is a funny pun when you boil it down to letters.
But of course, great stuff throughout the night involving luchadores. Fuego Del Sol VS Yuta was a very good opening match, but I figured Yuta would win that. Him going the extra mile with that steel chain was rather vicious, I feel like Fuego should want payback, teaming with some other AEW wrestlers who have beef with the Death Riders. Komander VS Lee was a very good ROH TV Championship match, but given this wasn’t the main event, I figured Komander would retain. Maybe EJ gets his shot next?
And then a very good Six Man main event. The lucha rules made it constant motion because there was no need for tags, and apparently the ref didn’t need to count when Hechi’s team was in there together. MXM getting involved makes sense, as they’re still not happy just possessing the tag title. They screwed Sammy over, Hechi’s team wins, but then Sammy’s side stands tall over MXM. I would think we do get Sons of Texas VS MXM one more time, who knows how that goes, but it’ll be a lot of fun either way.
My Score: 8.6/10
