Mariah May speaks.

On the same film set that she attacked Mina Shirakawa, with the glass shards of a champagne bottle still at her feet, The Glamour wants the cameraman to come closer. She’s ready for her interview now. “I’m a complicated woman. I do a lot of things that people don’t understand and that’s okay. So when people ask me why I broke up with Mina, I could give the simple answer of jealousy, or watching her prance around Japan with the ghost of my past, but… That’s not true. I never broke up with Mina Shirakawa. In fact, we’re closer than ever. Every time she came here, it was, ‘I love America! I love AEW! I want to be champion!’

“So who could I not give her a chance at everything she’s ever wanted? You want to be on top? Well this is what it takes to be on top. You beat me, you can have it all. AEW, you want Mina? Here she is. Now let’s see how long she lasts. You can cry. You can scream. You can bleed. But you can never say I didn’t love you.” Mariah May is twisted, but will this bad romance soon come to an end now that Winter is Coming?

Backstage interview with Anna Jay.

Lexy Nair is with The Queenslayer, and notes that while she lost to Mariah May in that last chance title match, she did bounce back at Full Gear against Deonna Purrazzo. Anna says her career has been full of ups and downs, but she’s never backed down from swinging for the fences. She put it all on the line against Mariah, and lost. So what does that mean? It means she has nothing left to lose! Deonna found out an Anna with nothing to lose is one fat ass that can’t be kicked. So no, she can’t challenge for the AEW Women’s World Championship right now, but there are other titles that she can.

And Anna doesn’t mind on taking that one big swing. Just try her. Or maybe, she’ll try someone! Anna heads out, will she make herself The Star of the Show one way or another?

AEW Continental Classic, Blue League: Kyle Fletcher VS The Beast Mortos!

The Protostar won perhaps his biggest match last week on Full Gear, but now he’s going for a big prize in the Continental Championship. But in his way is a BIG beast, as The Beast Mortos wants to prove his worth to La Faccion Ingobernable. Will the menacing minotaur make big strikes towards a championship? Or will he be struck down by Don Callis’ Aussie Arrow?

Speaking of Don Callis, he finds a loophole in the No Cornermen rule by simply being on commentary. Kyle and Mortos circle at the bell, tie up, and are in a deadlock. Mortos pushes Kyle back and the fans rally behind the beast. Kyle shrugs that off and soaks up heat as he circles with Mortos. Kyle slips around, headlocks, but Mortos powers out. But Kyle pulls on the mask! The ref reprimands but Kyle has the headlock again. Mortos powers up and out, Kyle RAMS Mortos, and the fans fire up. They RAM each other again and again, and Kyle staggers back. Kyle comes back to RAM Mortos, Mortos RAMS Kyle, but Kyle BOOTS Mortos!

Mortos runs in at the corner, but Kyle stops the Monkey Flip!

Kyle puts Mortos up top and SMACKS him down to the floor! Kyle grins while Collision goes picture in picture.

Mortos flounders and a ring count starts. Kyle goes out the side, runs in around the way, and he BOOTS Mortos down! Kyle flexes while he soaks up heat and the ref reprimands. Kyle goes back to Mortos, drags him up, and the fans tell Kyle off while he puts Mortos in the ring. Kyle pretends he can’t hear them, and then he storms over to stomp away on Mortos! The ref counts, especially as Kyle stands on Mortos’ face! Kyle says “SUCK IT!” Kyle runs corner to corner, forearm SMASH! And then a BIG back suplex! Cocky cover, TWO! Mortos stays in this but Kyle paces around. Kyle blows a kiss and Collision goes to break.

Collision returns, Mortos runs up on Kyle! But Kyle scoops to MICHINOKU DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Mortos survives and Kyle argues with the count, but the count was fair. Kyle seethes while the fans rally up behind Mortos. Mortos goes to ropes but Kyle smirks. Kyle runs and CALF KICKS! Mortos flounders, Kyle brings him around, but Mortos BACKDROPS free! The fans fire up, Mortos runs up, and he blocks a boot. But not the SUPERKICK! Kyle swings, Mortos dodges, ROLLING DDT!! Kyle flops out of the ring while the fans fire up again. Mortos runs to build speed, and he TORNILLO TOPES!

Mortos HEADBUTTS Kyle down! Mortos stands to FLYING CRUCIFIX DRIVER!! And then DISCUS LARIAT!! Cover, TWO?!?

Kyle survives and shocks everyone in Chicago, but Callis is still worried. “This is Awesome!” Mortos aims and spins, but DOUBLE LARIATS collide! Mortos HEADBUTTS a lariat away! Kyle SUPERKICKS! Mortos HEADBUTTS again! Kyle ducks ‘n’ dodges but so does Mortos! Kyle LARIATS first!! Kyle fires up, the fans boo, but Callis says it’s closing time! GAMANGIRI and then suplex! BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, Kyle wins!

Winner: Kyle Fletcher, by pinfall (gains 3 points; Mortos earns 0)

The Aussie Arrow strikes, and not only does he keep pace with Shelton Benjamin in Blue League, but he keeps pace with Will Ospreay. Ospreay and Kyle both won tonight, could they end up meeting at Worlds End?

Backstage interview with Kyle O’Reilly.

Lexy Nair wants to talk with the Violent Artist, but he’s being pestered by The Undisputed Kingdom’s Matt Taven & Mike Bennett. Taven apologizes to Lexy, but now’s not the time. Lexy excuses herself and Bennett says he doesn’t get why Kyle won’t listen to them when Kyle knows what this is about. How long have they known each other? 14, 15 years? Bennett has known Adam Cole, Roderick Strong and Matt Taven just as long, so Kyle knows this is bigger than wrestling. This is about loyalty, friendship, and standing up for one of their own.

When Kyle chose not to join The Undisputed Kingdom a year ago, Taven wasn’t sure why. He thought it was finally going to be what they all wanted, all five of them together as one. Taven even called Kyle after Cole called them because Taven wanted to know why. Kyle wasn’t ready physically and mentally, and they respected it. Then Kyle and Roddy had it out, Taven & Bennett stayed out of it because they respected Kyle’s wishes. But now Kyle needs to understand and respect The Kingdom’s wishes! They need to exorcise some demons, exorcise those devils in them. So they aren’t asking much, just that Kyle let them finish this chapter in their careers.

Kyle wants The Kingdom to understand, he respects it plenty. Kyle leaves but The Kingdom doesn’t understand what Kyle means by that. Is he going to let Adam Cole win the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal to go after MJF?

Backstage interview with the Don Callis Family.

Callis is with his Alpha, Konosuke Takeshita, and he explains that Callis is here to do something that he likes better than anything else, and that is talking about Takeshita! Talking about the Alpha! Callis had a front row seat to Konosuke DESTROYING Ricochet at Full Gear, and that made him very happy. And what also makes him happy is thinking of the coming year for The Alpha! They’re rolling into Tokyo Dome and Konosuke’s gonna blow the roof off of it! Then they’ll come back to AEW, and make 2025 the Year of the Don Callis Family, and the Year of the Alpha! Tell ’em, Champ!

Konosuke says in Japanese first that he is going to the Tokyo Dome to conquer it in the name of the Don Callis Family, and then in English, he says he will dominate this ring, this title, and dares anyone to come and take it! Callis repeats, “Come and take it, if you can!” Will The Alpha be ready for whoever it is that wants his gold in the New Year?

The Outrunners VS The Iron Savages w/ Jacked Jameson!

Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd could not take the tag titles at Full Gear, but these throwbacks still have “the stuff!” Will nothing stop the Youngest Men Alive from going for the gold?

Wait, Jacked Jameson has the mic to tell the fat morons and skinny idiots to shut up! There seems to be some confusion about the new Iron Savages’ shirt! They aren’t the meat riders, everyone else is! And that includes “these two spinning idiots!” The Savages will beat them down, put them in their place, and take their spots! Because they are the Iron Savages! Sippin’ sauce, livin’ hoss, and taking all the Low T Meat Riders to #TIDDYCITY! The Outrunners aren’t intimidated and the teams sort out. Truth starts against Beefcake Boulder, and the fans rally up at the bell. Boulder flexes on Truth, but Truth flexes back!

The fans cheer Truth, but Boulder TOSSES him to the corner! Boulder throws ELBOW after ELBOW, then he tags Bronson. Bronson fires body shots and haymakers, then flexes to mock Truth. Bronson ROCKS Truth, tags Boulder, and the Savages mock the spin. Boulder sends Bronson in to SPLASH, then Bronson sends Truth into Boulder’s scoop. SIDEWALK SLAM! Cover, TWO! The fans rally up for Truth but Boulder goes to a corner. The Savages gyrate, and Boulder goes up, but he slips and falls! Truth may have gotten a bit lucky there, but Boulder hurries to tag Bronson. Bronson runs in but Truth dodges!

Bronson hits buckles. Truth hurdles, hot tag to Turbo! Turbo rallies with haymakers on both Savages! Turbo winds up and he ROCKS Boulder! Turbo scoops to SLAM Bronson! And then he scoops and SLAMS Bronson again! Truth becomes the human weapon, SLAM SENTON onto Bronson! Wait, Turbo scoops Boulder!? Boulder’s too much for one man! Boulder grabs both Outrunners, but the Outrunners fight up! The fans cheer as The Outrunners kick, and DOUBLE SCOOP SLAM! The fans fire up and Truth says, “Turbo Floyd! YOU SONOVABISH!” DOUBLE ELBOW DROP! Bronson staggers up into a scoop! TOTAL RECALL!! Cover, Outrunners win!

Winners: The Outrunners, by pinfall

Chicago cheers as the retro filter takes us back to the 1980s while The Outrunners get back on a winning track! But wait! FTR is here! Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler join Truth & Turbo in the ring, and they all HANDSHAKE! The fans cheer as the #TopGuys are happy for their friends, but will either of these teams be headed for the tag titles before Worlds End?

Backstage interview with Max Caster.

Lexy Nair is with Platinum Max and brings up the rather erratic behavior as of late. Yeah, well, Swerve Strickland is crazy! He attacks Caster outta nowhere! He ripped The Best Wrestler Alive jacket! Caster could sue Swerve but that’s not real rap. So Swerve, look in Caster’s eyes. Swerve doesn’t deserve what he’s gotten here in AEW! But here Caster is, giving that “gold toothed b*tch” a chance to take on The Best Wrestler Alive. Caster wants Swerve this Wednesday Night Dynamite! Okay, but then where is the rest of The Acclaimed? Oh, he hasn’t talked to them since Full Gear.  Anthony Bowens was so pissed after he lost that match for them.

Caster told the guys that they could take the week off, it was Thanksgiving after all, and as the leader, Caster knows his guys have his back against Swerve. Swerve, if you’re a real champion, a real rapper, then you’ll accept the challenge and take this ass whooping like a man! And that is a mic drop! Caster heads out, but is he the crazy one thinking he should face The Realest in a match?

Hangman Page VS Wheeler Yuta!

Speaking of crazy, the Blackhat Cowboy was so out of his mind after his loss to Jay White, he decked Christopher Daniels! Not only that, but he more or less handed Christian Cage a cash-in opportunity at the end of Full Gear. The Death Riders do not appreciate this, and so now The Decoder is stepping up. Will Yuta make sure Hangman understands what he’s getting himself into? Or is Hangman going to make Yuta an example to Jon Moxley?

The bell rings and the two circle. They feel things out, Yuta goes for a leg but Hangman HAMMERS away on him for it! Yuta goes to ropes and Hangman backs off. The fans rally as the two reset, and they tie up. Yuta grabs that leg, trips Hangman, but Hangman kicks free. Yuta headlocks, Hangman powers up and out, but Yuta dodges. Yuta leaps but Hangman catches him for a SLAM! Hangman stands Yuta up, bumps him off buckles again and again, and again and again, but stops at the ref’s count of 4. Hangman wants to pull the buckle pad off but the ref says don’t. They argue, but Yuta kicks low!

Yuta whips, Hangman reverses but Yuta grabs ropes. Hangman LARIATS Yuta up and out! The fans fire up and Hangman goes out after Yuta. The fans rally behind Hangman as he fireman’s carries Yuta, SNAKE EYES Off the apron! Yuta staggers around, Hangman storms over, and he CLUBS away on Yuta. Hangman drags Yuta up and SMACKS him off the apron. Yuta staggers, Hangman follows, but Yuta kicks the leg! Yuta pushes Hangman at the ring, but Hangman rebounds to CLOBBER Yuta! Hangman drags Yuta up, puts him in the ring, but Yuta swings! Hangman catches Yuta to a clinch, and BELLY2BELLY! Cover, TWO!

Hangman snarls but he stalks Yuta to a corner. The fans rally up and Hangman stands Yuta up. Hangman CHOPS Yuta down, then tells the ref to back off. Hangman storms over to Yuta at the apron, and he triangle jumps, but Yuta ducks the lariat! CHOP BLOCK! The fans boo but Yuta stomps away on Hangman’s leg. Yuta wraps the leg around ropes and stands on it! The ref counts, Yuta steps off, and then Yuta drags Hangman by his leg. Yuta steps through for a spinning toehold! Then another spinning toehold! Then another! Yuta flexes, the fans boo, but Hangman KICKS at Yuta! The fans rally, but Yuta blocks the kick!

Yuta steps through and has the standing toehold! Hangman kicks at Yuta, gets free, but Yuta is after him in a corner. Yuta CHOPS, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Yuta CHOPS Hangman again, but Hangman scowls. Yuta CHOPS, but Hangman eggs him on! The CHOPS keep going but then Yuta kicks a leg! Yuta trips Hangman, and he fights to turn Hangman over. HALF CRAB! Hangman endures while fans give thumbs down. Hangman crawls his way over, ROPEBREAK! Yuta holds on until the ref counts 4, and mocks Bryan Danielson by saying he has ’til 5. Yuta then storms up on Hangman to ROCK him, BITE him, and then climb up. The fans boo as Yuta mocks the Yes Movement. Yuta rains down fists, but Hangman stops him at 5 to then carry him out! Atomic drop!

Yuta flounders, Hangman storms up, but Yuta has the leg! DRAGON SCREW! Hangman flounders to the apron, but Yuta runs to basement DROPKICK the legs! Yuta cheers himself on and drags Hangman to center. Yuta twists the foot but Hangman kicks at him again and again. Yuta staggers back, Hangman swings, but Yuta dodges! Yuta dodges, catches a haymaker, and wrenches to a RIGHT ANGLE SLAM! Cover, TWO! Hangman goes to a corner, Yuta runs up, but Hangman puts him on the apron! Yuta ROCKS Hangman, climbs up, but Hangman ROCKS Yuta! Hangman climbs up, and he brings Yuta to the top!

Collision returns to single picture as both men are up top! Hangman goes to scoop but Yuta fights! Yuta BITES Hangman’s ear! Yuta hops down, TRIPS Hangman, and Hangman tumbles to the mat! Yuta hurries to flip him into the Tree of Woe! Yuta climbs up to CLUB away on the bad leg! The fans boo and the ref counts, but Yuta stops at 4 to soak up heat. Only for Hangman to SPIDER-GERMAN!! Hangman glares even while upside-down, and he slips free of the Tree. Hangman storms up on Yuta to fire a haymaker! Yuta fires back! They go shot for shot, Hangman gets the edge, then ROLLING ELBOW!

The fans fire up for Hangman as he whips Yuta hard into more railing! Yuta writhes and Hangman points to the other side. The fans cheer and Hangman whips again. Yuta reverses, but Hangman reverses back! Yuta hits railing hard! The front row fans love as the railing gets pushed back! Hangman puts Yuta in and fans rally for “Cowboy Sh*t!” Hangman storms up, but Yuta KICKS the bad leg! Yuta runs up, but into a DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Cover, TWO!

Hangman snarls but wait, here come Pac & Claudio Castagnoli. They walk down the steps in the crowd, but Hangman dares them to bring it on! Yuta rolls Hangman up! TWO!! Hangman escapes, and he POP-UP- NO! Yuta fights the bomb! Hangman blocks a lariat, BOOTS Yuta, but Yuta rewinds! Yuta waistlocks, Hangman throws him off, DISCUS LARIAT! Hangman glares at The Bastard & The Swiss Superman as he goes to the apron, but now Marina Shafir & Jon Moxley have joined them! Hangman slingshots, but his leg buckles! Yuta rolls him, shifts around, SEATBELT! Cover, TWO!!

Hangman scoops Yuta, DEADEYE!! Cover, Hangman wins!!

Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall

The Death Riders tried to intimidate Hangman into defeat, but that’s not a thing when it comes to Hangman. Moxley simply talks things over with Claudio, perhaps they’re more impressed than anything. Wait, Hangman HAMMERS away on Yuta! Moxley and crew do not even take a step forward!? So Hangman ups the ante by grabbing a chair! Hangman puts that chair around Yuta’s neck! Hangman is going to use something out of the Death Rider playbook, and yet they do not flinch. But here comes Jay White?! The Switchblade has his own beef with the Death Riders, but also with Hangman!

White has a chair, Hangman takes his chair away to run off, so Yuta is saved. But then White clinches Yuta, BLADERUNNER!! Moxley again smirks, perhaps just as impressed with White as he was Hangman. The Death Riders leave Yuta behind, will Yuta understand he is just a pawn? White tells the pawn to tell his king that KING SWITCH is coming for him! Will Jay White soon make The Maniac breathe with the Switchblade?

Thunder Rosa speaks.

La Mera Mera introduces herself and says tonight on Rampage, you will see the best wrestlers of CMLL! Hechicero, Mascara Dorada, Mistico, and many, many more! And, oh, also this girl who thinks she’s part computer. But never mind that. What made Rosa sad is that she keeps seeing people stabbing each other in the back when you think they’re all your friend. Like Mina Shirakawa and Mariah May. And why do they do that? Because they want to “be on top.” They’re hungry for the title. And y’know what? That makes Rosa hungry, too. So after Rosa is done with “Harley-gram,” Rosa will keep a close eye on Mina and Mariah.

Because remember: Rosa was a champion, too! And she beat Mariah May! Winter is Coming, but La Mera Mera NEVER left. Will the Thunder rumble up to whoever survives the cold?

Backstage interview with Hangman Page.

Lexy catches the Cowboy as he makes his way to the locker room, and she brings up that while he got a win on Yuta, his bigger issues seem to be with The Death Riders and Jay White. Hangman gets mad now, and says he doesn’t know who told her there would be an interview, but there’s not. Hangman storms off but Christopher Daniels finds him. The Fallen Angel says he’s been looking for Hangman. Daniels was going to fine Hangman for that shot at Full Gear, but he wants to talk not as an EVP but as a wrestler, as someone who has known Hangman for 15 years. Someone that cares about Hangman!

This thirst for vengeance is not fueling Hangman, it is poisoning him! It is taking him away from his true goals. And this stuff in the past, if Hangman could just let it go, he’d not only be the leader AEW needs, but the man that Hangman should be. Hangman says Daniels does NOT tell Hangman who can be or who he is, because he knows damn well who he is! If what happened to Hangman happened to Daniels, Daniels would feel exactly the same! Any man would! And the last thing Hangman needs right now is advice from an old man like Daniels. Hangman storms off, his anger only growing worse. But will nothing but that AEW World Championship bring him peace?

Mina Shirakawa VS Leila Grey!

We heard both sides of the tragic romance, and the title match is made for December 11th. Will the Fighting Gravure Idol be red hot for Winter is Coming? Or will the Top Flight Attendant look to earn her own trip to the title scene?

The bell rings and the two circle. They feel things out, tie up, and Leila waistlocks. Mina wrenches out, wristlocks, but Leila rolls and wrenches back. Leila headlocks, Mina powers up and brings Leila down. Mina headlocks, then spins around to SOBAT! Mina runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then slides to pose! The fans cheer but Leila is annoyed. Leila KICKS Mina in the back, then runs, but Mina trips her up! Mina KICKS Leila in the back, and the fans cheer! Leila storms up on Mina and throws a forearm! Mina fires back, and now the forearms fly! Mina has the edge, then winds up to ROCK Leila! Leila staggers, Mina whips.

Leila reverses and runs up but Mina dodges in the corner. Mina ROCKS Leila, goes in and up, FLYING CHUCK! Then NECKBREAKER DROP! Cover, ONE!! Leila shows some grit but Mina is still having fun. The fans rally up and Mina runs corner to corner. Leila dodges and Mina hits buckles! Leila SHINING WIZARDS, then brings Mina out for a snap suplex! Roll back and underhook, but Mina fights the butterfly! Mina wrenches out, Leila ducks the kick! Leila shoves, Mina dodges a kick to URAKEN! Cover, TWO! Leila toughs it out again and Mina is frustrated, but the fans rally up again. Mina storms up on Leila and dragon sleepers!

Mina drags Leile up, but Leila fights free of the inverted suplex! Roll-up, TWO! Mina runs, Leila trips, jackknife bridge! TWO, and Mina ROLLING ELBOWS! Leila falls, Mina goes up a corner, but Leila rises at the ropes. Mina leaps to FLYING SLINGBLADE! The fans fire up and Mina has Leila in the dragon sleeper! GLORIOUS DRIVER MINA! Cover, Mina wins!

Winner: Mina Shirakawa, by pinfall

Winter is Coming for AEW, and Mina is coming for Mariah’s head! Will the Glamour’s gold soon belong to the Fighting Gravure Idol?

BREAKING NEWS for next week’s Collision!

Collision returns to its usual time as AEW arrives in Columbus, Ohio, and the WrestleDynasty International Women’s Cup Qualifiers continue! Willow Nightingale and Serena Deeb will battle it out, who moves on to face Jamie Hayter at Collision’s own Winter is Coming?

Backstage interview with Willow Nightingale.

Lexy Nair is with the Babe with the Power, and we saw her help Orange Cassidy against The Death Riders. What is her sights set on now? Well, it is always great to help a friend in need. But now she is going to pivot her focus and saw all that about WrestleDynasty, International Women’s Cup, Tokyo Dome! It just feels right to represent AEW there. And most recently, she was CMLL Women’s Champion. She was the first woman to defend the TBS Championship overseas in Stardom. And of course, she was the inaugural NJPW Strong Women’s Champion. So you can already call her the Global Ambassador of AEW, or even an international superstar!

But you cannot call her an International Women’s Cup winner unless she wins these qualifiers. So that might feel right in her heart but it also felt right that Cassidy should be AEW World Champion, and that Ishii should be ROH World Champion. Those things didn’t happen. So after a month away, Willow has to make the dream happen. She’ll put her head down, get back to work, put on this lovely smile, and make the dream happen! Will Willow power her way through The Professor and the Hayter until she’s the one going to the Tokyo Dome?

New York, make your holidays All Elite!

Christmas may be 25 days away, but AEW is going to celebrate a few days early. The Manhattan Center will host a Christmas Collision on Saturday, December 21st, and then a Dynamite on 34th Street on Sunday, December 22nd (to be aired on Christmas day that Wednesday), and all of this follows ROH Final Battle on Friday the 20th! Tickets on sale now, get you and yours the gift of a three-day weekend of All Elite Wrestling!

BREAKING NEWS for Dynamite!

Wednesday, December 4th, Jay White will have his own fight against The Death Riders when he takes on Pac! Will The Bastard be one to Breathe with The Switchblade? And the Continental Classic of course continues with perhaps the hardest hitting match-up yet: Brody King VS Claudio Castagnoli! Will the King of Death bring the Swiss Superman back down to Earth?

BREAKING NEWS for Winter is Coming!

Well, win, lose or draw, Claudio and Brody King are going to keep up the heat as Claudio will take on Will Ospreay and Brody will take on Ricochet! The Continental Classic is only heating up, but who will blaze their trail to Worlds End?

AEW Continental Classic, Blue League: Kazuchika Okada VS Daniel Garcia!

Being the second C2, this is a very special match. Not only is it the first time THE Continental Champion competes in the round robin that determines if he stays champion, but he’s facing a fellow champion! Red Death is the NEW TNT Champion after defeating Jack Perry, will he get another big win here tonight? Or will Okada prove he is still The Rainmaker that won G1 after G1?

The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two circle. They knuckle lock, then Okada shoots in for a waistlock. Garcia wrenches and hammerlocks, but Okada slips around to hammerlock back. Garcia headlocks but Okada cranks the arm. Garcia still headlocks, then slips his hand free to have the hold on tight. Okada rolls but Garcia holds on. The fans rally up as Okada stands, and Okada fires body shots. Okada powers up and out, but Garcia RAMS him! Neither man falls and the fans are dueling as Okada brushes himself off. Garcia runs, RAMS Okada again, but Okada still doesn’t fall. Garcia fires a flurry of forearms!

Okada fires up and he UPPERCUTS, but into a backslide! TWO, and Okada storms up. Garcia drop toeholds, Oklahoma Roll, TWO! Trip and ghost pin, TWO!! Okada escapes and backs away while the fans fire up. Okada applauds, he also admits Garcia is good. Okada uses ropes as a defense and the ref has Garcia back off. The two reset and circle, but Okada offers a handshake. Garcia is wary, as are the fans, but then Okada leaves Garcia hanging. Garcia CHOPS and fires hands on Okada for it! Garcia whips, Okada grabs ropes, but Garcia blocks the boot! Garcia throws Okada down and basement dropkicks!

The fans fire up and Garcia nods. Okada crawls to the ropes but Garcia stalks over, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Garcia snapmares Okada, runs, and SLIDING FOREARMS! Cover, TWO! Okada stays in this but Garcia stays on him. Garcia stomps away on a leg, then GROUND DRAGON SCREWS! Okada writhes, but Garcia stalks Okada. Garcia whips, but Okada blocks! Garcia still tries but Okada again blocks. Garcia ROCKS Okada, runs, but Okada FLAPJACKS! The fans fire up while both men are down. Okada stalks Garcia now, and he drags Garcia up. Okada turns Garcia for a NECKBREAKER! Cover, ONE!! Garcia is tougher than that but Okada stays cool. Okada CLUBS Garcia, and Garcia goes to a corner.

Okada is after Garcia, whips him corner to corner, then runs up to ELBOW! Garcia staggers and falls, but Okada is cool as ice. Okada paces, scuffs Garcia, and he taunts Garcia a bit. Okada kicks Garcia, but Garcia rises to fire forearms! Okada just leans into the shots! Then he UPPERCUTS Garcia back down! Collision returns to single picture while the fans rally up. Okada drags Garcia to his feet, scoops and SLAMS, then SENTON FLOPS! Okada tried changing the formula and pays for it! The fans rally again as Garcia drags himself up, only for Okada to CLUB him down! Okada then scoops Garcia to SLAM him again!

Garcia goes out to the apron, and slingshot SENTON, but he has to roll through as Garcia moves! Garcia blocks punches to give punches again and again, then whips. Okada reverses then dodges a lariat! Okada catches Garcia into the MONEY CLIP! Garcia endures but he’s as red as his new boots! The fans rally as Okada squeezes tight, a big grin on his face! Garcia feeds on the energy from Chicago and he fires body shots! Garcia JAWBREAKERS free, but Okada scoops! Garcia slips free to kick and TWIST ‘N’ SHOUT! The fans fire up and Garcia shakes the ropes! Garcia runs corner to corner to LARIAT Okada!

Garcia keeps going, he LARIATS again! Garcia keeps moving but Okada follows! But Garcia dodges Okada to put him in the other corner, and he stomps a mudhole into the Rainmaker! The fans fire up but the ref counts, and Garcia stands on Okada’s face until 4! Garcia runs side to side and he BOOT WASHES Okada! Garcia drags Okada up but Okada wrenches out. Garcia ducks the lariat to have a SLEEPER! Garcia squeezes tight, sits Okada down, and runs to PENALTY KICK! Cover, TWO! Okada survives the shoutout to Shibata but Garcia grits his teeth. Garcia drags Okada by his legs, steps through, and has the DRAGON TAMER!!

Okada endures, flails, and has the ROPEBREAK quick! Garcia lets go and Okada bails out. The fans rally as Garcia goes out and CLUBS Okada! Garcia makes Okada take a seat in the corner, and then he climbs up to rain down fists! The fans count along, and Garcia goes to nine, puts up the fists, and then hits TEN! The fans cheer and Garcia goes to the far side. Garcia runs back in, flipping those middle fingers before he SHOTGUNS Okada down! The ref checks Okada as he clutches an arm. Garcia wants after Okada but the ref has him hold on. Okada says to get the medic so the ref hurries away. But Okada grabs a chair! Okada JAMS Garcia up!!

The fans boo as Okada says he’s okay now. The ref isn’t sure what that’s about, but Okada hits a DDT to the floor! Okada grins, laughs, even blows a kiss to the camera, and Collision goes picture in picture.

Okada shrugs as he soaks up heat from the fans. Okada takes his time walking back to the ring while the count climbs. Okada decides to roll in at 4, but then he rolls out to refresh the count. Okada drags Garcia up and SMACKS him off the steel steps! Okada stands Garcia up to RAM him into railing! And now Okada leaves Garcia behind for the count. The fans cheer Garcia on and Garcia rises up! Garcia has new life and he slides in, only for Okada to DDT him again! Cover, TWO!! Garcia survives and Okada is furious! Garcia scuffs Okada, and again, and that frustrates Okada. Garcia reaches out and he nods to the fans.

Okada looms over Garcia as Garcia again feeds off Chicago’s energy. Garcia stands to fire a forearm! Okada shakes that off and eggs Garcia on, but Collision has to go to break.

Collision returns as now Garcia has Okada up top! They brawl with forearms and the fans rally behind Garcia. Garcia fires a flurry of HEADBUTTS! The fans fire up and Garcia brings Okada to the very top! SUPER DUPER PLEX! The fans fire up while both men writhe! Garcia crawls to a cover, TWO!! Okada stays in this if only barely, but Garcia shakes his head. Garcia rises and he has the legs. Okada scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Garcia lets go in frustration, and Okada bails out. Garcia rushes outside to kick Okada and put him back in the ring. Garcia runs corner to corner, but Okada pops him up! REVERSE NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO!!

The fans fire up as Garcia stays in this, and Okada is almost amused by it. Okada drags Garcia up, scoops and SLAMS him down! Okada climbs, for the MACHO ELBOW! Okada rises and the fans are torn. Okada mocks Garcia’s dance! Okada flips Garcia off, but Garcia grabs a leg! ANKLE LOCK!! The fans fire up as Okada is caught for getting cocky! Okada endures, reaches out, crawls forward, but Garcia TWISTS the foot! Okada flails, reaches, and has the ROPEBREAK! The ref counts, Garcia lets go and runs to DROPKICK Okada! The fans fire up with Garcia as he runs again, but into Okada’s DROP- NO! Garcia catches the legs!

Okada kicks free but Garcia comes back to CHOP, CHOP, CHOP! Garcia winds up, Okada spins him, but Garcia flips Okada! Okada cradle counters, TWO!! Garcia stands, ducks a lariat, but then Okada ducks one! Both men come back, DOUBLE LARIATS collide! The fans fire up again while both men are down! “This is Awesome!” as a standing count begins! Okada sits up, Garcia stirs, but Okada drags him up. Okada brings Garcia around to short arm LARIAT! The fans rally but Okada stands Garcia up again. Garcia ducks the lariat but not the DROPKICK! Okada scoops Garcia to MICHINOKU DRIVER! And then the ripcord! RAIN- NO, Garcia body scissors Okada!

Garcia has Okada’s legs, steps through, DRAGON TAMER!!! And we have one minute left?! Okada endures, fights around, reaches out, but Garcia drags him back! Garcia sits deep!! Okada endures even more pain, but he flails and claws at the mat! Okada crawls but Garcia sits DEEP! Okada bites his hand to ignore the pain! Time is running out! TIME IS UP!!! It’s a DRAW!!

Time Limit Draw; both men earn 1 point

Chicago cannot believe it! Garcia could not beat Okada in under 20 minutes, but he surely had Okada beat all the same! But Chicago shows respect by applauding both men as they both stand up. Okada offers a handshake, does he mean it this time? Garcia accepts, but then Okada flips him off! Well, of course that’s how it goes. But if this is how hard they had to fight and only got a draw, how much harder must both Okada and Garcia fight to take the Blue League?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision, even for being prerecorded. And for some reason, more matches here than Dynamite, but Mina Shirakawa was of course beating Leila Grey and The Outrunners were of course beating The Iron Savages. Good promo from Mariah May to put her spin on the build to her match with Mina, and even a nod to Mina hanging out with Toni Storm. I would think Mariah wins at Winter is Coming so that Worlds End can perhaps be Mariah VS a returning Toni Storm, who might not even be Timeless but back to rockstar Toni. FTR showing up to hang out with Outrunners was find, but kind of filler if there wasn’t something more than the handshake.

Very good promo from Caster to not only put his own spin on everything that’s happened while also putting himself over as the apparent leader of The Acclaimed. You can bet Bowens & Billy will have something to say on Dynamite right before Caster has his match with Swerve, and all this just adds to Caster ditching Bowens for The Hurt Syndicate. Good promo from Anna Jay, but I feel like that while she clearly wants Mercedes Mone and the TBS Champion, The Vendetta is going to get in the way, maybe striking a business deal with The CEO for protection. After all, Kamille quit so Mone’s gonna need new bodyguards.

Good promo from Rosa to hype up both tonight’s Lucha Libre Rampage, which includes her match with Harley Cameron, while also throwing her name into the hat for the world title match. Maybe we get both Storm and Rosa going for the title at Worlds End, or maybe it’s Rosa while Storm waits it out until 2025. To be fair, Storm could wait because then she can challenge for the title at Grand Slam: Australia. And good promo from Willow to hype up her part in the International Women’s Cup. Willow VS Deeb feels like a toss up, but I’m leaning towards Willow. She should make it to WrestleDynasty for the reasons she gave, especially when you consider Julia Hart is calling out Jamie Hayter with her spooky vignettes.

Good promo from The Kingdom and Kyle O’Reilly, but I’m pretty sure Kyle is not throwing the match for Cole’s sake. Kyle and Cole will probably be the last two in the battle royal, and if Cole is going to win, he’ll have to be vicious to do it because Kyle is so tough. I still feel Cole and MJF should fight for the diamond ring so that the ring becomes the new physical object of their grudge, but they might use Kyle VS MJF to further delay Cole VS MJF so it can happen for Worlds End. I believe that would put their match on the anniversary of when Cole started the “Who is the new Devil of AEW?” story with Face MJF, so it would be a fitting stage for this new chapter.

Very good promo from Callis and Konosuke to hype up the Tokyo Dome shows, which as it stands, we’ll get Konosuke VS Takagi in a Champion VS Champion showdown, no idea if it’ll be for a title, both titles, or just pride between AEW and NJPW. And of course, great stuff in the Continental Classic matches. Ospreay VS Juice was a great opener, and Juice looked good, but of course Ospreay won here to get his first three points. The same goes for Fletcher VS Mortos, as Mortos looked great even though he lost. Then we got an awesome main event, and I love that Okada VS Garcia went to a draw. Neither champion could really lose without owing a title match after the tournament, and this really adds some drama to the standings.

My Score: 8.9/10

PLAY BY PLAY

Daniel Garcia & FTR speak.

The TNT Champion tells Adam Cole, “I see the way that you look at me every time we get into that ring. And that look can only mean one of two things: Either you got a crush on ol’ DG, or you want a shot at this belt. So if a shot at the title is what you want, let’s get it.” Dax Harwood says, “The AEW Tag Division has been lost without FTR. But tonight, we’re back.” Cash Wheeler tells Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong, “For the first time in almost 7 years, we step into that ring, and it happens right now.” #TopGuysOut.

The Undisputed Kingdom speaks.

Kyle says, “At one point in time, me and Roderick Strong were the best tag team in the world. Now it’s been six long years since we’ve teamed up and nothing has changed. Well, except we’ve got more experience and more to prove.” Roddy shouts, “F T R~! tonight, it’s Top Guys down.” Adam tells Garcia, “I’ve got all the respect in the world for you. But I don’t want to win the TNT Championship, I need to win the TNT Championship. I’ve never held singles gold here in AEW, and tonight, that changes, because that is Undisputed.”

Julia Hart speaks.

The Princess of the Black Throne tells Queen Aminata, “I heard you want a round two. Let’s hope you don’t regret it. Because the Hart always wins.” But then Kazuchika Okada accidentally steps in. He apologizes to Julia and Brody, saying, “I’m so sorry.” Brody barks at Okada, then he and Julia leave. Okada shines up the Continental Championship belt so he can look at himself. Will the Rainmaker have to deal with the King of Death soon enough?

“Powerhouse” Will Hobbs & Bandido speak.

The hometown hero wears a Golden State Warriors jersey as The Most Wanted tells him tonight, they’re in Hobbs’ hometown, amigo! Hobbs says he and Bandido will “handle town bidness.” Hobbs & Bandido are set to take on Big Bill & Bryan Keith, will the Learning Tree’s Branches finally be cut down?

FTR VS Kyle O’Reilly & Roderick Strong!

As we heard both sides say, it’s been a minute since these two teams faced off. This may not be the Black ‘n’ Gold, but will one of these teams head for tag gold in the near future?

The teams sort out and Roddy starts against Cash. They go around, Cash waistlocks, and they go around some more as Roddy works on the escape. Roddy wrenches free, wristlocks, but Cash rolls. Cash wrenches and wristlocks back, but Roddy slips through and goes for a leg. Roddy trips Cash, covers, ONE, and Cash wrenches right back. Cash  hammerlocks, headlocks, then hits the takeover. Roddy headscissors, Cash kips free, and the two stand off. The fans cheer that and the two reset. Roddy and Cash tie up, go around, and Roddy headlocks. Roddy hits the takeover, but Cash keeps his shoulders up.

Cash fights up, powers out, but Roddy runs him over! Things speed up, Roddy runs Cash over again! Roddy keeps moving, but Cash HIP TOSSES him down! The fans fire up while Roddy scrambles away. Roddy tags Kyle and Kyle circles with Cash. The fans duel, “UNDISPUTED!” “F T R!” Cash goes for an arm, wrenches then tags in Dax. Dax takes the handoff to wrench and wristlock. Kyle then grabs that leg, but Dax counters with a PILEDRIVER! Cover, FTR- NO, wait! Dax notices Kyle’s foot is on the ropes! He stops the ref from calling FTR the winners, and even Cash agrees. If they’re to beat Kyle & Roddy, it has to be undisputed. Kyle wakes up, and he even clings to the ropes, thinking the match is still going. Dax & Cash talk with the ref, the ref still wants to declare this over, but FTR refuses! They want the match to continue! Are they sure? Yes, they are!

The ref tells the ring announcer that this match is going to restart! The fans cheer, the bell rings, and Dax POSTS Kyle! Dax then gives Kyle a moment to get up before he goes for the buckle. But Kyle blocks that to buckle bump Dax! Cash tags in, he CLUBS Kyle, and then drags him in through the ropes. Kyle rains down forearms, then he CHOPS! Kyle sputters, Cash UPPERCUTS him! The irony of FTR playing fair, they would’ve won this earlier! But now, Kyle & Roddy snatch that victory away for their own! FTR regroup, and they accept this defeat. Roddy & Kyle offer handshakes, but FTR reject those! Will FTR just have to accept that there are new top guys in AEW?

Willow Nightingale speaks.

“The Con-chair-to I gave Marina Shafir echoed through the entire building. I know it’s still ringing in her ears. I know the Death Riders all heard it, and I hope everyone in the locker room heard it, too. I have gone through so much in AEW. Through it all, I kept smiling. But a few people have forgotten what happens when the smiling stops. Cope knows, Jay White knows, and Mox knows, too. I am the Babe with the Power, and I’m not afraid to use it.”

Wheeler Yuta VS Willie Mack!

Speaking of the Death Riders, The Decoder is the only pawn left. Will Jon Moxley be able to have one line of defense at Revolution? Or will The Return of the Mack to AEW indirectly help Cope out?

The bell rings, the fans rally for Mack as he and Yuta circle. They tie up, Yuta waistlocks and CLUBS Mack on the back. Yuta bumps Mack off buckles, then CHOPS! Mack frowns, but Yuta RAMS into him! Mack tumbles, Yuta growls, and the fans boo. Yuta goes up a corner, but Mack is up on his feet! Mack ROCKS Yuta, climbs up, but Yuta BITES Mack’s forehead! Yuta shoves Mack back, then leaps, but Mack gets under! And he LARIATS Yuta!

Yuta staggers to his feet, Mack whips him, and then CALF KICKS him down! Yuta flounders to a corner, the fans fire up for Mack, and Mack hits a CANNONBALL! The fans fire up while Yuta staggers around again. Mack scoops and SLAMS Yuta, then give shim the “WHOOP WHOOP” STANDING MOONSAULT! Cover, ONE?! Yuta is tougher than that, but Mack says that’s just fine. Time for some Stone Cold! But Yuta stops the stunner, then dodges, BUSAIKU KNEE!! Cover, Yuta wins!

Winner: Wheeler Yuta, by pinfall

Yuta withstood the Mack attack, and he glares into the camera as if he’s daring The Rated R Superstar to try something. Well first, Jon Moxley makes his way out, carrying the AEW World Championship briefcase for himself for once. And he CLOBBERS Mack with it! The fans boo but The Maniac has Yuta hold onto the case. Moxley soaks up the heat from Oakland to then force a cameraman to get in the ring. Moxley also grabs a mic, then he tells Oakland, “This is none of your business! I’ve got a lesson to teach my young protege here about finishing the job.”

Moxley tells Yuta that when he says ready, go take Cope out. Understood? Yuta nods, but Moxley says Cope cannot leave the ring under his own power. Cope cannot have a clear shot at the title, this is what Yuta was made for. Cope does NOT walk away! So finish the job. Moxley clamps onto Mack and tells Yuta to finish the job! Yuta CLOBBERS Mack with the briefcase! Mack falls in a heap, and Moxley takes his leave. The Decoder will battle Adam Copeland this Wednesday, will the last Dynamite before Revolution be Cope’s last Dynamite period? Or is no one ready to get Rated R like Cope?

Mercedes Mone speaks.

“Oaklaaand~! You better say hello to your C E-” Oh hey, it’s Billie Starkz! She has the TBS Championship after how Mone ran away without it last Wednesday. Mone is mad, and she says, “Gimme this!” Mone snatches the title back, Billie says Momo wants Mone to enjoy this while it lasts. Because at Revolution, Momo takes that title for her own. Oh, and Billie got Mone some tea. Billie SPLASHEs it in Mone’s face, payback of her own! Mone is furious, but will she be further humiliated when she downgrades from #FourBeltsMone to just three?

Toni Storm speaks.

Timeless Toni is bedridden, wearing a neck brace, as she says, “You know the nice part about being piledriven on stage and waking up to panicked doctor and dozens of messages asking me if I’ll ever walk again? It really gives you time to think. It gives you time to think if this has all been worth it, or if the past 15 years of my life have been a complete waste of time. Because my dreams have been haunted by a woman who won’t let me wake up. Darling, let’s get lucid. What do you want, Mariah? My title? You can pry it from my cold, dead hips. My soul? I’m going to leave at home. Or do you just want the spotlight that drove you to me in the first place? Now that, I can give you.

“Did you like Australia? Because I consider it foreplay. You want a Hollywood ending? Well so do I. And because nothing ever ends well in Tinsel Town… Disqualifications? I don’t want them. count outs? I don’t need them. Ropebreaks? Piss off! Not a single hold will be barred, and falls count anywhere in the entire bloody building! Mariah… My sweet, dear Mariah… I hope you believe in God, because now… You’re going to meet Her!” Toni yanks her neck brace off, and The Hollywood Ending is now ANYTHING GOES! Will this trilogy’s end be truly timeless?

Swerve Strickland w/ Prince Nana VS Clark Connors!

While the Realest is set to face the One & Only once again, with one of them becoming #1 contender to the AEW World Championship, he must sharpen his edge. Will the Most Dangerous Man stand tall against 100 Proof? Or will this War Dog win one for Bullet Club?

The bell rings and Oakland cheers for “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Connors runs up, Swerve dodges and fires off fast hands! Swerve CHOPS, but Connors brushes all that off. Swerve says okay, and he CHOPS again! Connors felt that one and he goes to a corner. Swerve says Connors doesn’t know who he’s dealing with. Swerve whips Connors corner to corner, UPPERCUTS, then he snapmares to go up. FALLING UPPERCUT! Swerve hits the Griddy, the fans cheer, and Swerve goes back to Connors. Swerve stands Connors up but Connors pulls hair! The ref reprimands, Connors CLAWS Swerve’s eyes, then whips.

Swerve reverses, Connors redirects, and he POUNCES Swerve! Connors argues with the ref about getting in the way. The fans boo but Connors tells them to shut up. Connors says this is HIS house now! He stomps a mudhole into Swerve, then digs his boots in. The ref counts, Connors steps off, and the fans boo again. Swerve rises, Connors GRINDS his face against ropes! The ref counts, Connors lets go, but he KICKS the ropes to jam Swerve up! Connors stalks Swerve to a corner, CHOPS him, but Swerve just snarls. Swerve CHOPS back, so Connors CHOPS again! And again, and again, and again!

The fans fire up while Connors knees low then stomps another mudhole! The ref counts, Connors stops, but then he UPPERCUTS Swerve! Swerve blocks a kick, slips around, and hits a BACKBREAKER! Swerve cartwheels, traps the arm and pulls the other, to then STMOP the arm! Nana says THAT is the Swerve he wants! Connors bails out while Collision goes picture in picture.

But Swerve dodges the Jeep Flipper and even the powerslam! Gator roll and deadlift, but Connors slips free! Connors shoves Swerve, Swerve bounces off buckles, into the SNAP POWERSLAM! The fans fire up while both men are down, and Connors goes toa  corner.

Swerve will take Ricochet down and take back “our legacy!” The contract signing is this Wednesday, will these two keep it to just putting pen to paper?

AEW shares footage from after last Wednesday Night Dynamite.

The Hurt Syndicate was heading out, ready to have some steaks, when The Outrunners hurried after them. They hope MVP saw that out there! Truth & Turbo did it! They beat the Murder Machines! And now they’re gonna get their chance at the titles, they can’t thank MVP enough! Yes, MVP did see that. But did you see when the Hurt Syndicate went out there, distracted Lance Archer and all that, and then they capitalized on that? No, didn’t think so. But hey, they are men of honor and men of their word, Hurt Syndicate will face The Outrunners for the titles.

But there’s still time before the PPV. MVP suggests they get their business in order. At Revolution, Truth & Turbo will be swimming with sharks. Turbo thought they were wrestling, but sure! This is great, they thank MVP again. The Hurt Syndicate head out, and Truth says this is it! They’ve waited 20 long rookie years for this! They’re gonna be the champs! Truth & Turbo shake hands on it, but will this be their rise to the top? Or will they learn The All Mighty & The Standard of Excellence mean it when they say #WeHurtPeople?

Harley Cameron joins commentary.

Oakland is fired up for the wild Aussie, but Tony Schiavone says she’s not scheduled for anything in particular. What’s she got on her mind? Harley says that as we all know, she just won a big match on Dynamite against Deonna Purrazzo. Schiavone says that’s right, and she got the win. They watch a replay of that finish, and Schiavone congratulates her on that win. Harley thanks him for that, and yes, she has gotten going. And after she hit Deonna with “that,” she couldn’t help but notice that commentary didn’t really call it anything. Nigel McGuiness says that to be fair, Nigel wasn’t there.

But if he had a dollar for every move Tony Schiavone didn’t know the name of, Nigel would be a millionaire. Schiavone says more like just $3. But he didn’t know that Harley was gonna pull that move out so he didn’t know what to call it. Harley says she really hadn’t, so she just gave it a shot. It worked out, so what should we name it? Harley wants to name her finishing move? Yes, she wants to name her finishing move. Wait! That’s it! It’s Harley’s Finishing Move! GENIUS! What? That way, whenever she hits it, just say it! That’s Her Finishing Move! EXACTLY! Schiavone is a genius! And now, FEEL THE WRATH!

Big Boom AJ speaks.

“There’s a lot of ego around here in AEW, and the disrespect of the double chunk chocolate cookie! First it was QT Marshall, and tonight, it was that no good Johnny TV knocked the double chunk chocolate cookie right out of my hand. And he tells Papa AJ that he found somebody! C’mon in! It’s Freshly Squeezed Orange Cassidy! That makes three! Whoa, whoa, Big Justice. You will be one of the best wrestlers one day. Maybe even AEW World Champion.

But for Revolution, Justice is better served in the corner. Cassidy says it’s fine, he has a friend. Here comes Mark Briscoe! The Sussex County Chicken says Big Justice can stand down, his opportunity to kick butt in the ring will come in the future! Of that, Briscoe is sure! But for now, please allow Mark Briscoe to do the ass whoopin’, cuz his main man with the game plan, OC, called him up on the cellphone and said, “Do you wanna do some conglomeratin’?” Mark said damn right! It’s been too long since they did that! So the three of them, with Big Justice in the corner, will take on MXM TV!

They think they’re fashionable? They think they’re stylish? Mark’s got their fashion right here! Johnny TV, MXM, at Revolution, Briscoe will whoop dat ass! And he’ll tell you what else! The Rainmaker mocks the barking, then flips Brody off! Okada beat Buddy in Australia, and he has made Brody the prey rather than the hunter! But will Okada regret punking out Brody like that?

Kenny Omega speaks.

“While I was out for an entire year, having to sit in bed, watching the shows on TV, wondering if I’d ever wrestle again, I had to hear Uncle Don every single week, week in and week out, talk about how Takeshita beat Kenny Omega twice in one week. Takeshita beat Kenny Omega twice in one week, twice in one week, twice in one week. It tends to get on your nerves. It tends to piss you off. And I’m not gonna lie, I’m pissed off as it is. But what I’m about to do to you, Takeshita, it isn’t about revenge. No, it’s not about you beating me twice in one week. It’s about what you hold and what it represents. That belt.

“Because he who holds the belt is regarded as the best. And if you can beat me three times, Takeshita… Maybe it’s time for me to admit something. Maybe it’s time for me to admit that you’re better. Maybe it’s time for me to admit that you really were Don’s real meal ticket. Maybe it’s time for me to admit that I can never challenge for a major belt ever again, and that the old Kenny Omega is gone. But the way that I see it, is that I’ve had an entire year to clear my mind, refocus, hone in on my training, to sharpen all those dull points, to make my weaknesses into strengths.

“Now I don’t have the extra baggage of the friends that left me behind. I don’t have the extra baggage of being an EVP. My entire focus is your belt. It’s not revenge, it’s not because of Don. Not even because of you. I want that gold. At Revolution, I’m taking it.” The Cleaner has made his motives clear, but will he still be The Best Bout Machine? Or is Konosuke Takeshita truly the Alpha to Kenny Omega?

Hobbs brings Keith around and THROWS him into Bill! The fans fire up and Hobbs LARIATS Bill down!! Hobbs starts up the “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” again, and he SPLASHES Bill in a corner! And SPLASHES Keith in another! SPLASH for Bill! SPLASH for Keith! Another SPLASH for Bill! But then Bill follows, so Hobbs sends him into Keith! Hobbs TOSSES Bill out and he runs at Keith! Hobbs hits buckles, Keith ENZIGIRIS him! Bandido CHOPS Keith! Keith stays up, both he and Bandido roar! Keith CHOPS, Bandido CHOPS, repeat! The fans “WOO~” with every CHOP, but then Keith knees low. Keith whips, Bandido ducks ‘n’ dodges, and both men SHOTGUN DROPKICK! The fans are thunderous as they both tumble away! “This is Awesome!” as Bill and Hobbs return! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” echoes out again.

Bill ROCKS Hobbs, Hobbs ROCKS Bill, repeat! Bill gets the edge, then runs, but Hobbs dodges! Bill gets stuck on the ropes, Hobbs TRUCKS him out of the ring again! Hobbs then helps Bandido up and tells him go up! Bandido finds a corner, climbs it, and then he climbs onto Hobbs’ shoulders! They take aim, for a AIRHARA MOONSAULT onto Bill! Hobbs picks Keith up, SPINEBUSTER!! Cover, Hobbs & Bandido win!

Winners: “Powerhouse” Will Hobbs & Bandido, by pinfall

Now that’s town bidness! Hobbs & Bandido get yet another win over The Learning Tree’s Branches, will Chris Jericho learn to leave this alone? Or will The Nueve not stop until he’s numero uno?

My Thoughts:

A great Collision that had the misfortune of going up against an awesome Elimination Chamber. Though I wonder if having to compete with Elimination Chamber is why they had so many cold open promos this time. FTR VS Kyle & Roddy was still an awesome opening match, and I’m a little surprised they pulled a ropebreak based false finish. But that costing FTR was a clever move, and that’s a great win for Kyle & Roddy. Meanwhile, I should’ve known something would happen during Garcia VS Cole. Garcia VS Cole was definitely better than just Collision, and it fits that STP get involved one more time. The thing is, they already gave us a Triple Threat of Garcia VS Moriarty VS Kyle, so it’s weird if they’re giving us Garcia VS Moriarty VS Cole next.

Great match from Yuta VS Willie Mack to help Death Riders get back up from losing Pac, Claudio & Marina. Yuta VS Cope will be really good but win, lose or draw, you gotta expect Cope and Jay White will take Yuta out. Very good promo from Willow Nightingale, too, and again Willow VS Marina has to be part of the plan. Great match from Swerve VS Connors to show Connors off to a broader American audience, just like with Gabe Kidd last time. Swerve won, of course, so that he has momentum going into the contract signing and #1 contender’s match. That contract signing will definitely show us who’s likely to win at Revolution, though.

We got good stuff from the Hounds of Hell through the cold open and the match of Julia VS Aminata. Aminata winning makes sense, she and Julia are now tied and can have a tiebreaker for like Zero Hour. I would think Julia wins there, and then Aminata has no choice but to face Serena Deeb in that Women’s Pure Rules match in ROH. Okada VS Brody was a natural next step, too, but I don’t think Okada called anyone b*tch tonight so that’s surprising. Great promo from Toni Storm to escalate “The Hollywood Ending,” and great promo from Kenny Omega to put his International Championship in perspective. I would think Toni and Omega each win those matches.

Great promo from Mone and Billie to flip things from Wednesday, and assuming Momo doesn’t win at Revolution, this feels like a natural segue into Mone VS Billie, and then maybe, just maybe, Mone VS Athena happens for All In: Texas, and it’ll be for all the belts between both women. The only downside of that is, I don’t think Mone should become Five Belts Mone and end Athena’s streak, but Mone and TK probably won’t see it that way. I appreciate that in all the years of pro-wrestling that certainly I’ve watched but perhaps ever, Harley Cameron is the first person on screen to go thru the move naming process with commentary. And “Her Finishing Move/Harley’s Finishing Move” is the perfectly simple yet self-aware, meta fourth-wall name for Harley’s move.

Big Boom AJ of course gets back on an AEW PPV, fans still love the guy, and he will make for a fun combination with Cassidy and Briscoe. They will have a great match against #MXMTV, and I would think Big Boom Conglomeration win. Hobbs & Bandido VS Bill & Keith was a great main event, and a natural choice for main event given Hobbs is from Oakland. Hobbs was also the natural choice to win. I have a feeling we’re still getting Hobbs VS Jericho, and if the title is on the line, Hobbs as ROH World Champion is a great move. They can make it Ring of Hobbs!

My Score: 8.7/10

PLAY BY PLAY

An ambulance pulls up to the Frontwave Arena?!

The doors open, and it’s COPE! Adam Copeland tells The Death Riders, “I just wanted to show you your ride tonight. See you soon.” Are things about to get Rated R here in San Diego?

MJF speaks.

“We’re going to get rid of the biggest mistake in my life. You, the fans, are why the mystery has been drained from my art, my sport, my passion. You overanalyze my craft as if you are informed enough to even know what to look for. Based on who you cheer, you clearly don’t. I’ve watched on as hypocrites cheer on Cowboy S*it at a faker, a phony, a pretender, when I am right here, literally giving you an arm and a leg! Now I’m truly going to bet on myself. You people are spoiled, you’re part of a generation that got to watch the best to ever do it in real-time, and you people chose him? I used to believe in three letters.

“Now there’s only three letters that matter to me. Not AEW.  Not F-A-N. But M J F!” That’s right, he is at a laser tattoo removal parlor. MJF no longer cares about anyone or anything but himself, will nothing stop him from taking over?

Hangman Page just now arrives?

He stuck longhorns on his Rivian R1T truck, but that’s The Cowboy! Hangman parks, storms into the arena, and spooks a few as he heads for gorilla. The fans fire up as he makes his entrance, and he’s not even getting changed before his match? Is he planning on making this one quick?

Hangman Page VS Aaron Solo!

The bell rings, and Hangman BOOTS Solo down! Hangman fires haymakers in the corner, sits Solo down, but stops as the ref counts 4. The fans fire up and Hangman headlocks Solo. Hangman scrapes Solo’s face off the ropes, then whips him. Solo ducks ‘n’ dodges, escapes a scoop, and he DREAMCAST KICKS! Solo reels Hangman in, Hangman wrenches free, but Solo avoids the short arm lariat! Only for the LARIAT to find him on the return! Hangman then goes to the apron, takes aim, and slingshots for the BUCKSHOT! Cover, Hangman wins!

Winner: Hangman Page, by pinfall

Yep, that was quick! But Hangman isn’t done as he grabs a chair and a mic! Hangman storms into the ring with both, but he lets Solo get away. Hangman says, “There are three things that I hate in this world, and it’s running out of biscuits, English ivy, and when a little b*tch with a leaking spray tan spits in my face!” The fans know what Hangman means by that. Hangman takes a seat and says he is going to stay right here until someone finds him Maxwell Jacob Friedman, drag him to this ring, and Hangman gives him the ass beating of a lifetime! The fans fire up for Hangman, but here comes MJF!

The fans are torn as The Devil arrives in the arena, and he’s wiping blood off his hands…? MJF has them cut his music while he stays on stage. Hangman tells MJF to get in the ring, but MJF says, “Wow, Hangman. You wanna fight me right now in front of all these people? Dude, are you nuts? I mean look at you! You’re an animal, man! A ruthless killer devoid of any and all emotion! You’re heartless, dude! I’m not fighting you right now! No, no. Look, I don’t even know if I have a prayer on…” MJF checks the tron advertising it: Sunday, March 9th, Revolution in LA. MJF is worried!

In fact, he is going to go home to the most magical place on Earth, Long Island, New York… And MJF is going to train his tukus off for the match. MJF goes to leave, but then he realizes. “Silly me, I totally forgot why I came out here. I’m awfully worried about your friend, Hangman. You should probably check on him. I guess now’s the part where we find out whose actually real!” MJF drops his mic, Hangman stands up, and then MJF leaves. What is he talking about? Cameras find CHFRISTOPHER DANIELS down and bloodied in the back! The Devil of AEW attacked the Fallen Angel, all to get under Hangman’s skin!

Hangman takes his chair, heads out of the ring, and he storms his way to the back! Hangman looks around, shouts for where MJF went, keeps storming around backstage, but he finds Daniels first. Hangman tells medics to check Daniels already. The medics step in to stop the bleeding on Daniels’ forehead and Hangman continues hunting MJF. Has MJF finally gone too far?

The Don Callis Family is up in the skybox.

The fans boo as Callis gets VIP treatment for himself and Kyle Fletcher, because they’re getting ready to watch what’s in store for tonight. Callis is trying to stack the deck in Kyle’s favor, but will Bryan Keith be able to collect the bounty on Will Ospreay? Or will the Aerial Assassin take the Bounty Hunter down first?

Backstage interview with Chris Jericho.

It was earlier tonight that Renee Paquette knocked on the door, the Learning Tree answered, and Renee congratulated him on the big win last Saturday Night Collision, where Jericho successfully defended his ROH World Championship in an instant classic against Bandido. But she was wondering- No, no, he knows what she’s here for. Of course she wanted to congratulate him on what many are calling the greatest main event in the history of Collision. But she must really be here to apologize to him for how she treated him last week, right? Yes, and she was also wondering how this match between Will Ospreay and Bryan Keith came together.

Oh, Jericho’s glad she asked. And out stepped Don Callis! Callis said “The Greatest Of All Time” Chris Jericho assured him that tonight, Jericho has the solution to Callis’s problem. Sometimes, we must outsource in this society. Callis tried to handle things with Ospreay “in house,” he gave that opportunity to someone in the Family, but that someone dropped the ball. Mark Davis was standing right there… But Callis said Ospreay is a degenerate piece of garbage, so he needed someone who is used to dealing with degenerate pieces of garbage, like a bounty hunter! Jericho said at this stage of his career, he doesn’t have to help anyone, he chooses to help.

And so he chose to help Bryan Keith. In Jericho’s experience, bigger isn’t necessarily better. But Bryan Keith IS better! Keith has what it takes to be a champion in AEW, and more importantly, he has what it takes to beat Will Ospreay here tonight! Trust Jericho, Callis, that Bryan Keith’s your man. That’s all Callis needed to hear! Callis & Davis headed out, Jericho went back to his locker room, but will this deal between masterminds actually work out?

Bounty Match: Will Ospreay VS Bryan Keith!

The bell rings and the fans rally up for Ospreay. Ospreay points to Callis & Kyle in the skybox, the fans sing for “Ospreay~, Ospreay Ospreay Ospreay~!” and Ospreay is wary of Keith. They tie up, Ospreay wrenches and wristlocks, but Keith wrenches and slips around to waistlock. Ospreay switches, Keith headlocks for a takeover, but Ospreay headscissors. Keith kips free, the two stand off, and the fans cheer. Ospreay and Keith reset, feel things out, then tie up. They go around, end up on ropes, and Ospreay slowly lets off. Keith is holding onto Ospreay’s tights, Ospreay tries to get free, but Keith DECKS him with a sucker punch!

The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Keith fires off more forearms! Keith ROCKS Ospreay, tells fans to shut up, then he whips Ospreay to ropes. Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges to RANA! The fans fire up while Keith goes to a corner! Ospreay storms up to CHOP! The fans “WOO~!” and Ospreay CHOPS again! Keith is stinging, but he CHOPS in return! Ospreay roars and CHOPS again! And again! And again! Keith THROAT CHOPS! The fans boo again, the ref reprimands again, but Keith just snarls. Keith clinches but Ospreay arm-drags free! And arm-drags again, holding on for an armlock! The fans cheer while Ospreay grinds Keith down.

Keith fights up, pulls Ospreay’s hair, and the fans boo again. Keith KNEES Ospreay against ropes, then CLUBS him. Keith whips, Ospreay grabs ropes and BOOTS in return! Ospreay scoops Keith for a SLAM, then STANDING SKY TWISTER! Cover, TWO! Keith toughs it out but Ospreay powers up the elbow. The fans fire up, the Callis Family is upset, but Keith bails out! The fans boo, but Ospreay PLANCHAS! Down goes Keith and Ospreay dusts himself off. The fans rally for “BRUV! BRUV! BRUV!” and Ospreay gets Keith in the ring. Ospreay aims from the apron, springboards, PIP PIP- NO, Keith dodges the cheerio!

Ospreay comes back, Keith TOSSES him out, and Ospreay clutches a leg. Keith hurries out and BOOTS Ospreay down! Keith roars, the fans boo, but Keith goes back for Ospreay. Keith puts Ospreay in the ring while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Keith pushes Ospreay to center and drops ELBOW after ELBOW on Ospreay! Ospreay goes to a corner, Keith snarls as he storms up, and Keith CHOPS! Ospreay is stinging now, but he shakes his head. Keith CHPOS Ospreay again, but Ospreay puts him in the corner! Ospreay climbs up to rain down fists! Ospreay goes all the way to TEN, then whips Keith corner to corner. Keith reverses, Ospreay hits buckles hard, and he staggers into Keith’s SNAP SAIDO! Ospreay clutches his head now while Keith snarls. Keith drags Ospreay to then drop a KNEE on the face! Cover, TWO! Ospreay is still in this but Keith paces around him.

Keith looms over Ospreay, pulls hair to sit him up, and then clamps on a CAMEL CLUTCH! Ospreay endures, reaches out, and gets his arms free. Ospreay stands up to fire body shots! Keith shoves Ospreay to ropes, ROCKS him in the back, and Ospreay drops to his knees. Keith KICKS him down! Cover, TWO! Ospreay stays in this and he goes to a corner. Dynamite returns to single picture as Keith storms up on Ospreay, and he CHOPS! Keith then runs up to LARIAT, and then CORNER EXPLODER! Ospreay writhes, Keith eggs him on, and the fans rally. Keith looms over Ospreay, eggs him on, then scuffs him again.

Ospreay CHOPS! And CHOPS! And CHOPS! Keith ROCKS Ospreay, whips him, but Ospreay ducks ‘n’ handsprings, NEURALIZER KICK! Keith flounders to a corner and the fans fire up! Ospreay kips up, but Keith runs up! Ospreay fires counter punches, then winds up to DECK Keith! The fans cheer as Ospreay runs to BOOT Keith in a corner! Ospreay shoves Keith, springboards, PIP PIP CHEERIO! Cover, TWO! Keith toughs it out but the fans stick with Ospreay. Ospreay underhooks but Keith fights the lift! Ospreay fires Kawada Kicks, then CHOPS! Keith sputters, Ospreay whips, but Keith reverses like before.

Ospreay goes up and over, but Keith ROUNDHOUSES! Keith runs, into an ENZIGIRI! Ospreay takes a swing, Keith SWATS it to DISCUS LARIAT! The fans fire up as Keith hauls Ospreay up. Keith suplexes, Ospreay STUN DOG MILLIONAIRES! Ospreay springboards, OSCUTTER! Cover, TWO!! Keith survives but Ospreay looks right at Kyle as he prepares the elbow. The fans fire up, Ospreay takes aim, but Keith KNEES Ospreay down first! Keith reels Ospreay in, Underhooks, EMERALD TIGER DRIVER! Cover, TWO!! Ospreay survives, The Callis Family is fuming, but “This is Awesome!” Keith sits up and snarls, and he says it’s time to make that money!

Keith hauls Ospreay up, underhooks, and he lifts, but Ospreay blocks the knee! So Keith HEADBUTTS! Keith reels Ospreay back in, Ospreay backdrops but Keith sunset flips! Ospreay rolls through, deadlifts, and STYLES CLASH! Then HIDDEN BLADE!! Cover, Ospreay wins!!

Winner: Will Ospreay, by pinfall

Don Callis almost got his money’s worth, but The Bad Apple could not sour Ospreay’s win streak! Ospreay dares Kyle to come get him, but Kyle dares Ospreay to do the same! Ospreay rushes out of the ring, Kyle hurries down the bleachers, and they brawl in the crowd! Security hurries out there but fans want to “LET THEM FIGHT! LET THEM FIGHT!” Ospreay and Kyle will get to do whatever they want inside the steel cage, who survives when these two battle in LA?

AEW hears from Momo Watanabe.

The Dark Peach, the inaugural International Women’s Cup Champion, says, “I was very disappointed when I lost to Mone last summer. I still want to fight her. I will stop the Money Train.” Momo is after the AEW TBS Championship, but will she be able to take even just one belt off #FourBeltsMone?

Mercedes Mone speaks.

The CEO tells Oceanside, California to say hello to your CEO. But Mone tells Momo that she’s gonna make this quick. Mone has deals to seal and a plane to catch. Did Momo even show up here tonight? Because she made a big mistake choosing her for Revolution. And then Mone asks this “kid” if she’s seen Momo. It’s Billie Starkz! Mone says when Billie does see Mom, go fetch her for Mone. Then Mone just SLAPS Billie’s drink out of her hand?! Billie stops Mone from leaving and asks her, “What the hell!? Who do you think you are?!” Mone asks back, “Who am I? I am the Blueprint, the Standard, the Conversation, the CEO. The Greatest TBS Champion of All Time, Four Belts Mone.”

Billie says she forgot one: Narcissistic b*tch. C’mon, Mone, you know who this is: Billie Starks, ROH superstar! Future Women’s Champion. Oh, please. Wait, Momo sneaks up from behind! Billie says watch your back. Mone turns around, sees Momo and her bat, then runs away! Momo picks up the forgotten TBS Championship! Momo says, “Bye bye, Money Train~! I want this title, and at Revolution, I’m taking it.” Billie says it looks good on her. Will Momo be the next Face of TBS?

Brian Cage & Lance Archer VS The Outrunners!

The Hurt Syndicate told the Murder Machines that if they beat a “real tag team” tonight, they could get a match for the AEW World Tag Team Championships. But then they made that same deal with Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd, so this is effectively a #1 contender’s match! Will Cage & Archer show that even if you’re the Youngest Men Alive, #EverybodyDies?

The teams sort out, Cage starts against Truth, and they circle. The fans rally up, but Cage sucker punches Turbo! Truth goes after Cage but Archer attacks Truth! The Murder Machines mug Magnum, tell the fans to shut up, then double whip. Truth ducks ‘n’ sends Cage at Archer! Turbo is back, the Outrunners DOUBLE DROPKICK! Archer & Cage stay up, so the Outrunners DOUBLE DROPKICK again! The fans fire up, Truth whips Cage, but Cage reverses. Truth grabs ropes, Archer grabs Turbo, and Cage runs up. Truth DUMPS Cage out, then he DUMPS Archer out! The fans fire up as the Outrunners spin and flex!

The Outrunners go to the ropes to fetch the Murder Machines, but the Murder Machines drag them out of the ring! DOUBLE SHORT ARM LARIATS! The fans are torn as Archer whips Truth hard intro railing! Truth writhes while Dynamite goes picture in picture.

Cage storms up on Truth and whips him into the steel steps! Archer whips Turbo into railing! Archer steps on Turbo, Cage drags Truth up and SLAMS him on the apron! Cage drags Truth back down, DECKS him, and Archer keeps after Turbo. Cage soaks up the heat, Archer puts Turbo against railing, and Archer talks trash on kids! Archer winds up, but Turbo avoids the chop! Cage CLUBS Truth down, drags him back up and puts him in the ring. Turbo fires hands on Archer, then high-fives those kids! Only for Archer to SMACK Turbo off the railing! Cage bumps Truth off buckles, then RAMS into him!

Cage RAMS into Truth again, and again, then CHOPS! Truth sputters, Cage DECKS him, and Archer pretends to be Turbo in the Outrunner corner. Cage scoops Truth to use him for curls! Then POWERSLAM! Cage flexes, he’s almost as big as both Outrunners combined! Tag to Archer, he storms up on Truth, and CHOKES him on the ropes! The ref reprimands, Archer steps off, but then he DUMPS Truth to the outside. Archer goes out, shouts at those kids from before, then winds up to CHOP Truth! Truth sputters and falls, but crawls to the ring. Archer storms right into the ring to bring him up, and snap suplex!

Truth flounders away to a corner, Archer storms up on him, but Archer blocks the kick! Archer stomps Truth down while Dynamite returns to single picture. The fans rally as hard as they can for The Outrunners, but Archer tells them to shut up. The fans boo, Archer stands Truth up, and Archer ROCKS Truth! Archer runs corner to corner, and he ELBOWS Truth! Archer keeps going, another ELBOW! And another ELBOW! Truth staggers and falls over while Archer tags Cage. Cover, TWO! Truth stays in this and the fans rally up. Cage drags Truth up, UPPERCUTS him, then has Truth in a corner. Cage bumps Truth off buckles, then whips corner to corner.

Cage runs up, but Truth goes up and over! Cage keeps Truth from Turbo, whips him back to a corner, but Truth BOOTS Cage! Cage still LARIATS Truth! Cage scoops Truth, but Truth fights free, then JAWBREAKERS! The fans fire up as Truth dodges Cage, then dodges Archer! Hot tag to Turbo! Turbo rallies with haymakers and CHOPS on the Murder Machines! Archer puts Turbo in the corner. but Turbo dodges to ROCK Cage! Turbo LARIATS Archer in a corner, climbs up, and he rains down fists! Cage storms up, Turbo CROSSBODIES him down! Turbo springs up, dodges Cage, and he ELBOWS Archer!

Cage runs in, Turbo dodges again, so Cage’s LARIAT hits Archer! Turbo rolls Cage up, TWO! Cage escapes but Turbo whips. Cage reverses, Archer STOMPS Turbo down! Cage catches Truth for a DEATH VALLEY DRIVER! Archer adds a SPALSH! Cage ripcords Turbo to ROCK him! Archer ROCKS Turbo, too, then Cage JUMP KNEES Turbo into Archer’s BOOT! Cover, TWO!! Turbo survives and the fans fire up! Tag to Archer, then Cage reels Turbo in. Time to put on out! But Turbo fights the bomb! Truth makes the save, drags Cage out with him, but Archer keeps after Turbo. Cage THROWS Truth into railing!

Archer hauls Turbo up, but Turbo fires body shots! They don’t do much, and Archer eggs him on! The fans rally, Turbo fires more shots, but Archer ROCKS Turbo! Cage snap suplexes Truth on the floor! Archer hits a CHOKE SLAM on Turbo! Cover, TWO?!? Turbo survives and Archer is furious! Archer puts Turbo up top while Cage still beats up Truth. Archer UPPERCUTS Turbo, hoists him out, but the Hurt Syndicate is here!? Archer lets Turbo down, Turbo O’Conner Rolls! OUTRUNNERS WIN!!

Winners: The Outrunners, by pinfall

The timing by MVP, Lashley & Shelton is rather coincidental, but the bottom line is: Truth & Turbo win the biggest match of their careers! Does this mean they get their shot at the tag titles?

The Death Riders speak.

Jon Moxley says, “If Adam Copeland wanted me alone, if Adam Copeland wanted me one-on-one, just the two of us, he could’ve picked any room in any building, behind any locked door, any alley in North America. All you had to do was ask, man. But I can appreciate that somebody put their money where their mouth was. I can appreciate that somebody is actually playing for keeps.” Claudio Castagnoli says, “Don’t even get me started. I didn’t pay attention for one minute, and Cope… My hat’s off to you. But this is not you hunting us. No, no, no, no. Now, it is me hunting you.” The Swiss Cyborg wants his fight with the Rated R Superstar, will he make sure Cope doesn’t make it to LA?

Swerve Strickland is here!

San Diego is now “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” as Prince Nana accompanies The Realest out to the ring, and Nana has a clipboard in hand. They go to the ring, and Swerve grabs a mic. He says he can’t hear them loud enough! The fans cheer, and Swerve says they know this is whose house? “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” And that’s exactly what Swerve made AEW the moment he stepped through the doors almost three years ago at Revolution! Swerve looked Tony Schiavone dead in the eyes, and he said he’d win AEW gold. Schiavone confirms he sure did. Then it is fitting that AEW wraps Black History Month, because Swerve made Black History!

The fans cheer, and the chant starts again, “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Swerve says that’s right! Night in, night out, he not only defended the AEW World Championship, he showcased it to the world! Right up to the biggest stage in professional wrestling, AEW All In: London. Swerve is no one hit wonder, but Nana here was right two weeks ago. The world title has not been Swerve’s focus for far too long. Make no mistake, Swerve is still the man around here. Swerve is still the best in the world, and he needs gold around his waist. In order for that to happen, he must right some wrongs around here.

And first on the list is a bald-headed, glasses wearing idiot walking around with something that doesn’t belong to him! That man is Ricochet. Swerve brings up Ricochet claiming they’re done, and that Ricochet is on to bigger and better things. No, no, no. They’re done with Swerve says they’re done! You think a low blow victory- Wait, Ricochet interrupts. Ricochet wears the robe, but he’s added a backwards baseball cap. Ricochet uses Mone’s favorite phrase, “Are you stupid or are you dumb?” Because Ricochet just said, it doesn’t matter what anyone says, Ricochet is DONE with Swerve! Swerve had his chance, but Ricochet won.

And winners don’t chase losers. And yeah, Ricochet gets no one here understands that feeling, since the San Diego Padres suck ass! Even the Chargers left this broke ass town! What Ricochet is chasing is gold. What Ricochet is chasing is to be something Swerve will never again be: AEW World Champion. Ricochet turns that hat around to reveal it’s a Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl hat! So no, Swerve, Ricochet will not be facing him. Not tonight, not again, not ever. Thanks but no thanks. Next time you see Ricochet, he will have gold around his waist, and he’s not talking Louis Vuitton. Fans tell Ricochet to STFU as he laughs it up.

Nana tells Ricochet to hold on and listen. Nana has an offer that Ricochet might want to consider. Nana talked with Tony Khan, and TK agrees with Swerve: the fans deserve a rematch! All Ricochet has to do is accept it. And TK also said that whoever wins this rematch… will be #1 contender to the AEW World Championship!! So what does Ricochet say to that? Dammit, Nana. Ricochet gives him credit, that is good. So all Ricochet has to do is whoop Swerve’s ass one more time, and then his ticket is punched to being AEW World Champion? Can he get an “AHA~!” because CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!

But no, Ricochet looks too damn good right now, they ain’t doing this tonight. Ricochet can see in this crowd that collectively, they don’t have the money to pay his fee! So what happens is, this happens in a real California city. What they’re gonna do is they do this in the City of Angels! This happens at Revolution! Ricochet VS Swerve, one more time, baby~! The One & Only taunts The Realest on his way out, but who will be be #1 contender? Nana has Swerve hold on, they have business of their own first. Swerve asks what this is about, and Nana says he is proud of Swerve. Nana is glad Swerve is taking the steps to go for the world title. That is what the fans want! That is what Nana wants!

But most importantly, Nana wants Swerve to go back to who the fans say he is. Be the man Swerve says he is! Hell, be the man that Nana says Swerve is: THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN AEW! But Swerve needs to understand, Nana took a lot of bullets for him. Hangman Page, Sting, The Hurt Syndicate, Ricochet. To see Ricochet in Nana’s robe, something that means so much to him and this business, Nana needs Swerve to fix this and get the robe back. Or else, Nana doesn’t know if he can do this anymore. What? Nana takes his leave, but if the gamble doesn’t pay off, will he leave Swerve behind?

Backstage interview with Hangman Page.

Renee catches The Cowboy on his way out, wanting to talk about earlier tonight. Hangman says that MJF is gone, he left. Callis is all fired up as Konosuke makes it through Cassidy! Callis says he hopes Kenny was watching that, because this is what he has in store for Revolution! Will nothing stop The Alpha from becoming THE greatest in AEW?

My Thoughts:

An awesome Dynamite, lots of progress made towards Revolution and even some other stories. Cope showing up in the ambulance was a nice touch given how tonight went. Great brawl of Cope and Claudio that of course brought in the other Death Riders. Kudos to Marina for taking the busaiku knee, and nice touch letting Willow hit the con-chair-to. I still expected a little more for Willow in this, but maybe Willow and Marina have a match after Revolution, as I feel the Death Riders story won’t end, even if they lose their titles. But with Yuta as Moxley’s last line of defense, I feel like the Death Riders should lay low and just stay away from Collision. Then they can have a go-home segment that sees Cope take out Yuta after all.

Hangman of course squashes Aaron Solo, but the main point was the promos from him and MJF. I cannot believe MJF is getting rid of that leg tattoo he got while a Face. At the same time, it was so weird that he got it in the first place. But I absolutely knew he would go after Daniels just to anger Hangman. Very good segment from Mercedes with Momo and Billie Starkz. A little surprising it’s Billie showing up on AEW TV, but I suppose it wouldn’t work if it was a champion from ROH because both Athena and Red Velvet are Heels, and Billie is a younger star Mone can still look down on. But Momo having Mone on the run obviously points to Mone retaining at Revolution. It’s why I was hoping she’d go for the NJPW Strong Women’s title instead but whatever.

Harley had a great match with Deonna, and a great win with a finisher rather than a quick pin. Harley will have to wait on a title match but maybe Taya comes for revenge in the meantime. Great promo from Swerve, Nana and Ricochet to up the ante for the rematch. It’s to name a #1 contender, it’s for the robe, and it’s to see if Swerve & Nana stick together. Swerve and Ricochet will definitely put on an instant classic, and it could really go either way given the AEW World Championship could still go either way. We also have to remember, Christian Cage is still able to cash-in, so he could take the title off Mox or Cope, and it’d be some good use of continuity from when Christian teamed with Swerve.

Great tag team match from Outrunners VS Murder Machines, and I like how Hurt Syndicate screwed over Cage & Archer. It protected them while still giving Outrunners the title match, and I’m pretty sure Outrunners lose anyway. Then Hurt Syndicate VS Murder Machines can happen later for big meaty men slapping meat. Great trios match for Undisputed Kingdom VS Garcia & FTR, and a great win for Cole on Garcia. But I guess somehow Garcia VS Cole isn’t big enough for Revolution? or is Garcia VS Cole on Collision just a poor attempt at countering Elimination Chamber this Saturday?

More good stuff from the Don Callis Family as Callis and Jericho seem to make amends over common enemies. The irony of Callis setting up Jericho VS Ospreay and now he’s kinda flipping it around. But the order of giving us this promo after seeing Callis in the skybox was a little odd, I feel like it flows better the other way around. Anyway, Ospreay VS Keith was awesome, perhaps Keith’s best match in AEW, but of course Ospreay won that. No money, kayfabe or otherwise, was changing hands and Ospreay was going to be rolling towards Revolution. Ospreay and Kyle had a great brawl, their match is going to be a show stealer.

And of course, we got an awesome main event from Konosuke VS Cassidy for the title. But given how Omega called out Konosuke in the first place, obviously Konosuke was going to win. Omega VS Konosuke will be an instant classic, and I would think Omega wins, mostly for his revenge on Konosuke and the Callis Family. Plus, Omega becomes AEW’s first Grand Slam Champion, having been world champ, trios champ, tag champ, and now a midcard champ with the International Championship.

My Score: 9.1/10
