Swerve grabs a mic, but before he can say anything, The Young Bucks make their way out here! Nicholas Jackson has the mic, and he says, “First of all, shut the F up! And show some respect for your EVPs, your Founding Fathers!” Matthew apologizes for Nick being a hothead, but he also “apologizes” to Swerve for interrupting “whatever the hell this was going to be. But I don’t think these people here wanted to listen to what you have to say anyway.”
The fans boo because that’s not true. But Matt says he knows Swerve is scheduled for a match later tonight, and well, The Bucks were in the back, and they’ve pulled a few strings. In fact, they bumped him up a bit! In fact, Swerve’s match is going to happen right here and now! Let’s get the ref out here, hopefully Swerve can move around in those sweet leather pants! Nana is upset but Swerve figured this would happen. Nick introduces Swerve’s opponent, Blake Christian! The Vanilla Babyface thanks The EVPs for this, and then he and “Big Shotty” Lee Johnson go to the ring. Will Swerve be able to win even without time to prepare?

The bell rings and The Bucks decide to watch from the stage in their directors’ chairs. Swerve and Blake approach, Blake dodges and comes back, Swerve scoops for a tilt-o-whirl but Blake lands out! Swerve ROCKS Blake, runs, but Blake grabs at the ref. This distraction lets Lee trip Swerve up! The fans boo but Blake HAMMERS away on Swerve! Blake bumps Swerve off buckles, stomps away, then digs his boot in. The ref counts, Blake lets off and gives a thumbs up to The Bucks. Blake whips, Swerve reverses, but Blake goes up and around to DROPKICK! The Bucks like this as Blake SLAPS Swerve. Blake soaks up the heat before he “licks the ice cream cone.”
But then Swerve grabs Blake in a half nelson! Blake fights and RAMS Swerve into the corner! Blake ELBOWS free, runs, but Swerve follows! Swerve handsprings over Blake’s dropdown, then dodges Blake. Swerve jumps the dropdown but Blake DROPKICKS! Swerve bails out, but Blake FOSBURY TOPES! The Bucks applaud but the fans boo. Blake brings Swerve up, bumps him off the barriers, then soaks up the heat from New Orleans. Blake whips Swerve hard into railing, refreshes the ring count, then storms back up. Blake fires forearms but the fans rally for “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” Blake wrenches, but Swerve CLAWS Blake’s face!
Swerve THROWS Blake into the railing and the fans fire up! Swerve drags Blake up, fireman’s carries, but Blake slips free to POST Swerve! The ring count climbs, Blake bumps Swerve off steel steps, then puts him in the ring. Blake then has Swerve on the apron, but Swerve shoves him back! Blake ENZIGIRS, then SPEAR- NO! Swerve blocks the spear to HOTSHOT NECKBREAKER! Blake sputters, Swerve goes up the corner, FALLING UPPERCUT! The fans fire up as Swerve hits the Griddy! Swerve then KICKS Blake! Swerve tells Lee to watch himself, then he goes back to Blake. Blake BOOTS Swerve, runs up, but Swerve hip tosses!
Swerve gator rolls and deadlifts, but Blake fights free of the suplex! Blake whips, Swerve reverses, but Blake rewinds in the ropes for a STUNNER! Swerve is down, Blake goes up, and the fans boo. Blake takes another taste, then he 450- NO, he has to bail out! HOUSE CALL outta nowhere! The fans fire up and Swerve hooks Blake up, BIG PRESSURE!! Cover, Swerve wins!

The Bucks try to mess with Swerve but The Most Dangerous Man isn’t caught off guard so easily. Swerve dares The Bucks to come get some, but then Lee attacks! Lee stomps away, whips, but Swerve reverses! SOMERSAULT FLATLINER! The fans fire up again, but now The Bucks go after Swerve! They knock Swerve down, stomp him around, and the fans boo again. The Bucks sit Swerve up, for an E V P TRIGGER!! Matt mocks the chant and Nick does a horrible Griddy. But they get Swerve up, only for Nana to grab at Nick! Nick kicks Nana away, but here comes Kenny Omega! The fans fire up as the good EVP rushes the ring!
But The Bucks mug Omega 2v1! The fans boo but The Bucks soak that heat up. They kick Omega low, double whip, but Omega ducks the double lariat to send Nick into Matt! Then SNAP DRAGON SUPLEX for Nick! Nick staggers back up, into another SNAP DRAGON! Omega fires up and the fans are with him! Omega aims at Nick, BANG! But Matt drags Nick to safety! The Bucks retreat, but BREAKING NEWS from Tony Khan! Given this and previous confrontations, Dynamite will have a truly all star 8 Man Tag! Kenny Omega will be joined by Mark Briscoe, Kevin Knight & “Speedball” Mike Bailey to face The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada & Ricochet!
As for the present, Omega and Swerve stand tall as they have common enemies with The Bucks. They fist bump to show respect, so will the Best Bout Machine be able to count The Most Dangerous Man his most valuable ally in this fight?

AEW Women’s World Championship Eliminator: Toni Storm w/ Luther VS Queen Aminata!
The Timeless AEW Women’s World Champion had a lovely time in Hollywood to celebrate the “little sci-fi film” that is Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. But she is looking for something more of a thriller, which is why she put this open challenge out. The One True African Queen stepped up to the plate, will she hit it out of the park? Or will Toni not let this underdog story have a happy ending?
The bell rings and the fans rally up. Toni and Aminata circle, tie up, and Toni arm-drags. Toni poses, the fans sing for her, but Aminata shrugs that off. The two reset, tie up, and Toni arm-drags again. Aminata brushes that off, ties up with Toni again, and now Aminata arm-drags! Aminata poses, the fans are torn, but Toni offers a handshake. Aminata accepts, but Toni headlocks! Aminata powers out, steps over, and hits the twerk attack! Then Aminata wrangles Toni down to an ARMBAR, but Toni quickly makes it a high stack cover! TWO, and Aminata headlocks. Toni powers up and out, but Aminata runs Toni over!
The fans rally, Aminata runs but then drops down on the dropdown! Aminata gator rolls with Toni, the fans rally as Toni wrenches out, and Toni armlocks. Aminata fights up, wrenches and hits a nasty hip toss! Cover, TWO! Another cover, ONE! Toni gets away to a corner, but Aminata ROCKS her! Aminata climbs up, rains down fists, and the fans count along. Aminata goes to nine, then she BITES Toni’s forehead! The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Aminata smiles. Aminata whips corner to corner, runs in, but Toni goes up and over! Toni gets moving, and she runs Aminata over! Toni keeps going, redirects Aminata and SHOTGUNS her down!
The fans fire up and Toni brings Aminata up. Aminata fights the suplex, then she snap suplexes! Toni flounders, Aminata runs, but Toni dodges the boot wash! Toni has Aminata on the apron, but Aminata HEADBUTTS! The fans rally as Aminata gives Toni BOOTY ATTACKS! Aminata then lets go to PENALTY KICK! Aminata says she is the one of one, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Toni checks if her head is still attached, but Aminata brings her up to THROW her into barriers! Toni crawls, Aminata stalks her, and Aminata drags Toni up for a close-up! Aminata then helps Toni take a seat, to DOUBLE CHOP her! Aminata then brings Toni to the steel steps and SMACKS her off the side. Aminata refreshes the ring count, puts Toni back in the ring, then steps in. Aminata cravats for a running snapmare, and a HIP ATTACK! Toni fires up from that! She snapmares and HIP ATTACKS! Aminata fires up, and she snapmares for a HIP ATTACK! Toni is back up, and we get another snapmare to HIP ATTACK!
Aminata snapmares and winds it up, but Toni rolls her up! TWO, and Aminata kicks low! Aminata snapmares, then clamps on with LEG FULL NELSON! Toni endures as Aminata pulls on the arms and pushes with her legs! Aminata shifts to KICK Toni in the back again and again, then drags Toni into a ghost pin! TWO, but now Aminata has a dragon sleeper! Playoff Palooza returns to single picture and Toni pushes back for a cover! TWO, and Toni ROCKS Aminata! Aminata ROCKS Toni! Toni storms up, DOUBLE HEADBUTTS collide! Both women fall and the fans fire up! Aminata and Toni go to opposite corners, and they both run in!
THESZ PRESS from Toni! Toni fires fast hands and the fans fire up! Toni keeps after Aminata in the corner, but lets off as the ref counts. Toni comes back to SPLASH, then she reels Aminata in for a DDT! Aminata sits up in a daze, but Toni turns her over and hooks up the legs! Toni drops into the STF! Aminata endures and reaches out, ROPEBREAK! Toni lets go in frustration, but the fans continue to rally and sing. Toni storms back up on Aminata, stands her up, and pops her up, but Aminata victory rolls through! TWO!! Toni escapes, runs up, but Aminata drop toeholds her into buckles! Aminata roars, runs, and BOOT WASH!
Toni flops out of the ring and Aminata is beside herself! Luther fans Toni off but Aminata storms up. Aminata THROWS Toni into a seat! Aminata then runs in, but Toni trips her into the chair! Toni gets space, runs back in, HIP ATTACK against the railing! Toni hurries to get Aminata in the ring, goes up the corner, and CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Aminata survives but Toni keeps on her! But Aminata Alabama Lifts! AIR RAID CRASH! Cover, TWO!! Toni survives and Aminata is furious! Aminata drags Toni up, throws a forearm, but Toni fires back! The fans rally as the forearms keep going! Backstage interview with Team Triple Jay.
Lexy Nair is with Jay Lethal, Satnam Singh, as well as Jeff & Karen Jarrett. We haven’t seen the team in quite some time, so what is next for them? Lethal says that is exactly the question. Perhaps they should ask that to Sonjay Dutt, if he ever decides to show up. Where is he? Sonjay finally arrives, Karen says, “Look who decided to grace us with his presence!” Wow, okay… Sonjay says clearly, the team needs a minute. Lexy steps aside, and Lethal says as the man who’s known Sonjay the longest, as Sonjay’s best friend, Lethal needs to be the one to ask: What the hell is Sonjay’s problem?! Where has he been?
Sonjay has been showing up late for weeks while the others are putting in the work. What has Sonjay gotten them? Nothing! If he’s supposed to be the brains of this operation, he should know that the team is tired of sitting on the sidelines! Jeff double checks: Sonjay’s the brains? Since when? Sonjay knows what Jeff said on January 1st of this year, and it’s that he wants AEW gold. They’ve gone over it over and over. But maybe he’s listening to the wrong people. Lethal says damn right. This time, Lethal’s got the ideas. The team leaves Sonjay behind and Sonjay asks Satnam if he’s going along with this.
Satnam says he can’t really disagree with the others. The One in a Billion leaves to follow the others, is Sonjay no longer part of the team?
Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge: Max Caster VS ???
Wait, seriously? Platinum Max is 0-7 at his own challenge and he’s still out here with that document in hand. Caster says, “New Orleans! You are lookin’ live at the Best Wrestler Alive!” The fans are torn, but Caster says, “Platinum Max has been taking on all comers week in and week out, and tonight is no different. Platinum Max brings the excitement. Platinum Max brings the drama! And Platinum Max is gonna bring something very, very rare in this city, and that is a playoff-like atmosphere.” The fans boo, but Caster says c’mon, this is Playoff Palooza. Relax. But Caster knows that all the Maximaniacs in the Big Easy wanna do one thing an done thing one: Chant his name!
Here goes! “Let’s Go, Max! You’re the Best Wrestler Alive!” Fans make it “You’re the Worst Wrestler Alive!” but he doesn’t hear it. Caster says alright, he has heard better chanting in his day, but what does he expect from a city whose streets smell like horse urine? Anyway, let’s get to business! Let’s see who can survive the Best Wrestler Alive! And it’s HOLOGRAM! The fans fire up and Caster is furious. But will Caster’s losing streak coincide with Hologram’s continued win streak?
The bell rings and Caster takes a swing. Hologram dodges, SOBATS, and he whips Caster. Caster reverses, Hologram slides under the hurdle then comes back. Caster bypasses but Hologram handsprings and rolls under. Hologram then dodges again to RANA and handspring back up! The fans fire up with Hologram, and he storms up on Caster. Caster kicks low, bumps Hologram off buckles, then hushes the fans. Caster winds up, but Hologram dodges! And he jumps the kick! And then goes to the apron, slips through the corner, goes up and over, then ducks ‘n’ dodges! SPANISH FLY! The fans fire up as Caster flounders.
Caster bails out, Hologram builds speed, and Hologram DIVES! Both men hit the barriers but the fans fire up as Hologram pops right up! Hologram pushes Caster into the ring, goes up the corner, and aims for a 450- NO, Caster dodges! Caster runs in, but only gets buckles! Hologram torture racks and spins, for the PORTAL BOMB! Cover, Hologram wins!

As if Hologram wasn’t an exciting high-flyer, we’ve got four of them right here, ready to settle a score. This has been a long time coming, but will Darius & Dante Martin show that they never needed Lio Rush & Action Andretti? Or will it be the other way around?
Things are tense right as both teams step into the ring, and they start shoving! The bell rings and it is a brawl! No need to tag, no need to hold back, and Dante DECKS Lio while Darius ROCKS Action! Then they trade, Darius CHOPS Lio and Dante ROCKS Action! Action hits back, but Dante TOSSES him out while Darius bumps Lio off buckles. Dante SMACKS Action off the apron, Darius CHOPS Lio, and Dante whips Action. Action leaps over steel steps, Lio bails out, and CRU has regrouped by the ramp. Both teams talk some trash, but then Lio & Action go looking under the ring! They bring out kendo sticks!
The fans rally up as Lio says Top Flight wanted No Disqualifications! CRU slides in, but Top Flight step on the sticks! Top Flight take the sticks and swing on CRU! Lio & Action stay back and say fine, that doesn’t change anything! New Orleans wants tables but Lio & Action use their chains as knuckle dusters! They get in, but Dante & Darius drop the sticks to block the punches! They DECK Lio, ROCK Action, then double whip. They DOUBLE ELBOW Action, then redirect Lio for an UPPERCUT, JUMP KNEE, and LARIAT! The fans fire up, Dante covers Lio, TWO! Lio bails out, but Top Flight DOUBLE CHOP then DOUBLE MONKEY FLIP!
Then Top Flight double whip to DOUBLE BACK SUPLEX! Darius covers, TWO! Action bails out and CRU regroups again. Lio tells fans to shut up, but Top Flight controls the high ground. Lio & Action go around and they chase Leila! The fans boo, Leila says back off, and Top Flight goes out to stop CRU. This is just so Lio can slide in and DIVE onto Dante! Darius BOOTS Lio, but Action BOOTS Darius! Action goes up, and he ARABIAN PRESS SAULTS Darius down! The fans cheer, CRU drags Top Flight up, and while Lio puts Darius in, Action THROWS Dante into barriers! Lio runs up to LARIAT Darius down! Cover, TWO!
Lio calls to Action, Action goes looking under the ring. Action brings out a trash can! He tosses that in for Lio, lid included. Lio grabs the kendo sticks, then he puts the trash can over Darius! CRU treat Darius like a pinata with the SMACK, SMACK, SMACK! Darius falls over, the fans boo, but CRU soaks up the heat while Collision goes picture in picture.
Leila makes sure Dante is okay, then coaches Darius, but Lio CHOKES Darius with a kendo stick! Action rains down fists at the same time, then CRU soaks up the heat. Lio CLOBBERS Darius, snap suplexes him, and Action WRECKS Dante with a dropkick! Cover, TWO! Darius toughs it out, fights back against CRU, but they mug him. CRU then double whips Darius hard into the corner! Dante is back but he gets mugged, too! Lio stomps Darius, Action steps on Dante’s neck, and Lio SMACKS Darius with a kendo stick! Action SMACKS Dante with the trash can, and Collision goes to break.
Playoff Palooza returns and Lio is up top, with Action pushing the trashcan down on Dante. But Dante kicks free of it all! Then he CHUCKS the can at Lio! Lio wobbles then flops to the mat! Dante fire sup, and he SMACKS Action with the lid! The fans fire up with Dante, and he aims at Lio. Darius grabs Lio’s leg, and Dante SMACKS Lio in the head! The fans fire up more and Leila is loving this! Dante then goes out and brings out… a black bag! He lets Darius hold that up, but Lio rolls Darius up! TWO, and Darius takes a swing! Lio blocks the shot, spins Darius around, and Action is there to kick, KICK, and ROLLING ELBOW!
Lio SUPERMAN FOREARMS and Darius falls! Dante returns, Lio snatches a leg, and Action NECKBREAKERS! Cover, TWO! Lio talks trash on the fans, then he and Action coordinate. They drag Dante up, taunt Darius, and STUNNER! Lio holds Dante down so that Action can pick up the bag. Action pours out… Mardi Gras beads? What? The fans cheer for “BEADS! BEADS! BEADS!” cuz this is New Orleans, after all. Dante BOOTS Action, slips around Lio, HALF NELSON SLAM on the beads! Cover, TWO?!? Lio survives and Dante can’t believe it! But Darius is back and he has a chair. Darius makes Lio take a seat while Dante climbs.
Darius ROCKS and CHOPS Lio, but Action SHOVES Dante down to the floor! Darius BLASTS Action, but Lio fires hands! They brawl, Darius waistlocks, but Lio fights the back suplex. Lio bumps Darius off buckles, then drop toeholds him into the chair! Action returns to DROPKICK Darius! Then CRU hauls Darius up, DOUBLE FALCON ARROW on the chair!! Cover, TWO?!?! Darius survives and CRU is furious! Lio decides to go back to the chain necklace as a knuckle duster, but then Leila snatches it from him! The fans cheer as they tug-o-war, and Darius CHUCKS the trash can into Lio’s back!
Action RAMS Darius into Leila! Leila falls, Action doesn’t even show remorse! RUSH HOUR into the RUNNING NECKBREAKER! Lio goes up for the FINAL HOUR!! But Action adds on the 450 SPLASH!! Cover, CRU WINS!

Dante is stunned as all of Top Flight ended up wrecked by this Collision. But will CRU not stop until they’re on top of the world?
Anna Jay VS Taylor Gainey!
The Queenslayer is back in action here on Collision and New Orleans is happy to see her. But will Anna finally and for truly become The Star of the Show? Or does she still have a ways to go?
The bell rings and the fans rally up. The two circle, tie up, and Anna wrenches to a wristlock. Taylor endures, rolls, and wrenches, but Anna wrenches to HOOK KICK! Anna whips Taylor to a corner, runs in, but Taylor BOOTS her! Anna comes back to ELBOW Taylor, ROCK her, then whips corner to corner. Anna runs up to LEG LARIAT! Then Anna wrenches Taylor into the Gory Especial, GORY BOMB! Cover, Anna wins!

A shoutout to her bestie, Tay Melo, and that’s all Anna needed to get back on track. But wait! Penelope Ford is here? The Superbad Girl smiles as she goes to the ring and steps to her longtime rival. They circle, talk a bit of smack, but wherever Ford goes, Megan Bayne follows! Anna sees the tron, but Ford DECKS Anna! Ford rains down fists on Anna while The Megasus takes her time walking down the ramp. Ford CHOKES Anna, then drags her over to the ropes! Ford CHOKES Anna more, and Megan takes her time stepping into the ring. Ford opens the ropes for Megan, and she presents her “tribute” to the female titan.
Megan puts her headdress and cape aside to then bring Anna up for a fireman’s carry! “BOW! DOWN!” FATE’S DESCENT!! Megan stands over Anna and Ford stays by Megan’s side. Will nothing stop these two from conquering the AEW Women’s Division?
AEW hears from Mercedes Mone and Jamie Hayter.
The CEO says Double or Nothing will always hold a special place in her heart, because it is where she won the TBS Championship, and became the greatest TBS Champion of all time. But Jamie Hayter brings up how Mone likes to claim, “Money Changes Everything.” No, money breeds ignorance. Money makes you weak! Mercedes points out she is #FourBeltsMone, and she’s a global wrestling star, but she wants ALL the gold! And the only woman in her way to All In is Jamie Hayter. Jamie says Mone will learn that Hayter Hits Hard. But can Hayter hit hard enough to derail The Money Train?
ROH World Championship: Bandido VS Dralistico!
From talk of one title to another, The Most Wanted finally dethroned Chris Jericho back at AEW Dynasty. And now, he will be a fighting champion, willing to take on anyone who wants to take a shot! But will this title soon belong to La Faccion Ingobernable? Or will Bandido still have the hot hand?
The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who outdraws their opponent in this lucha libre shootout!
The bell rings and the fans rally for Bandido. Dralistico says okay, okay, hold on. He holds up his hand, but the fans boo. Bandido holds up his hand, and the fans cheer! Dralistico tries, eh gets booed. Bandido tries, he gets cheered. Dralistico says up theirs, then! Dralistico goes to the ramp? The fans boo more, Dralistico goes back to the ring, and the two circle. Bandido offers the Code of Honor, but Dralistico kicks it away. The fans boo, but the two tie up. Dralistico drags Bandido up, RAMS him into the steel steps, and then whips, only for Bandido to reverse! Dralistico hits railing, but then he kicks Bandido. Bandido KNEES him in return, pushes him along the way, and both men go to the apron. Bandido and Dralistico trade shots, and then they go CHOP for CHOP! The fans rally as the CHOPS keep going, and then Bandido CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! Bandido KNEES Dralistico, but Dralistico JUMP RANAS to the floor! A rough landing for both men and the ref checks them both. The ref has the medic also check, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Bandido sits up, he seems fine, but Dralistico is still lying down. Dralistico starts to sit up, and then uses the apron to stand. Dralistico eggs Bandido on, so this match is going to continue! Bandido says okay, uno momento. Then he CHOPS! Dralistico CHOPS! The CHOPS continue again, then they both go into the ring! They fire up, the fans are with them, and Bandido KICKS a leg! Dralistico puts Bandido on the ropes to CHOKE him! The ref counts, Dralistico steps off at 4, but then he stomps Bandido into the corner! Dralistico runs side to side to SUPERKICK! Dralistico lounges on the corner as he says tranquilo!

Dralistico comes back to tilt-o-whirl, DEJA VU LA MYSTICA! But Bandido rolls Dralistico, TWO!! Bandido knees low, runs ,but Dralistico SUPERKICKS! Dralistico runs, but into a TIGER WALL KCIK! But then Dralistico hops on to CRUCIFIX DRIVER! But Bandido rebounds to PENALTY KICK! Both men are down and the fans fire up again! Dralistico rolls to a corner but Bandido goes to the other end. The fans rally as both men rise. Bandido runs up, Dralistico puts him up top, and Dralistico CHOPS! Dralistico climbs, he and Bandido brawl with CHOP after CHOP! Dralistico fires forearms, then goes up, SUPER STEIN- NO! Bandido blocks it!
Bandido drags Dralistico back up, to SUPER- RANA!! Dralistico hurries to the corner, springboards in, FLYING CODE BREAKER!! Cover, TWO!! Bandido survives again and Dralistico is stunned! The Bad Apple tells The Redwood that Chris Jericho ain’t coming back until he’s no longer disappointed in them. Bill says they need to look out for themselves by crackin’ skulls and stackin’ wins. Keith says that it’s two sides of the same coin. They stop disappointing Jericho when by crackin’ skulls and stackin’ wins! Bill says regardless of what Jericho wants, that is still what they need to do for themselves. So the question must be asked: Who are they gonna crack? It could be anybody! It could be just some dude in the front seat of his car and they crack his skull! It could be that stupid boom mic operator!
Or, it could be at a local wrestling school, where they find two rookies with stars in their eyes looking for the break of a lifetime. Bill & Keith could put those two in that ring and crack their skulls and end their careers before they even start! But that is not what Bill & Keith need. They need a true challenge. They’ve looked around this locker room, and they found two guys who went toe-to-toe with the world tag team champions last week. They found two guys who are highly motivated to make a name for themselves. Bill calls out The Gates of Agony to try and make a name at the Learning Tree’s expense. Will Bill & Keith slam the Gates shut? Or is the Learning Tree about to be cut down?

El Toro Blanco’s brother may have failed to take the ROH World Championship, but now we see Rush take on the Whole Fox’n Show! Will Fox stay fly after winning some big matches lately? Or will he mess with the bull and get the horns?
The bell rings and Rush DECKS Fox! Rush pushes Fox out of the ring, then THROWS him into barriers! And then into railing! And then more railing! Fox writhes but Rush drags him back up to THROW him into more railing! Rush fires hands, then KNEE after KNEE! The ref reprimands, he backs Rush off, but Rush snarls. Rush then grins as he soaks up cheers and jeers. Rush puts Fox in the ring, snarls as he storms in and brings Fox around. Rush BODY BLOWS Fox, CHOPS him, then whips corner to corner and SPLASHES! Rush sits Fox down to stomp away! The ref reprimands, Rush backs off and he goes corner to corner, for the feint!
“No pasa nada, perro!” BOOT and roll back, tranquilo! Rush points to the fans, they chant for “RUSH! RUSH! RUSH!” But Fox rolls Rush up, TWO! Fox goes Matrix to dodge, then he PELES! Rush tumbles out, the fans fire up, and Fox builds speed! Fox FLIES and down goes Rush, right in front of commentary! Fox puts Rush in, then hurries up the corner! SWANTON BOMB! Cover, TWO! Rush survives and the fans fire up! Fox thinks on what he must do, but Rush whips him into a corner. Rush runs up to ROCK Fox, then sits him down. Rush huffs ‘n’ puffs, “If you mess with the bull…!” You get the BULL’S HORNS!! Cover, Rush wins!

I am going to smack you, I am going to bite you, and I’m going to Aussie Open your ass and put these ostrich leathers heel deep!”
Kyle says after he wins the Cup, he wins the AEW World Championship, and then you WILL say his full name. But Hangman says at the end of The Owen is a shot at the world title at All In, and Hangman needs that. Both men are locked and loaded for this Wednesday, but who will win and go Double or Nothing with Will Ospreay?
FTR w/ Stokely Hathaway VS Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly!
New attitude, new manager, but same goal: make themselves the top tag team of AEW. However, this new attitude is all wrong and now a couple Paragons have stepped up to correct it. Will Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler truly regret their actions now? Or will this only be the End of Heartache?
The teams sort out, Dax starts against Roddy and the fans rally behind The Paragon. Stokely talks some game tips with Roddy, and the two circle. They tie up, and Dax pushes Roddy away, claiming he was being rough with Dax’s ear. The fans rally behind Roddy and Dax gets annoyed. The two tie up, break again, and Dax again clamps his ear is being treated roughly. The two go again, Dax headlocks, but Roddy powers up and out. Dax runs Roddy over, Cash cheers, but the fans boo. Dax bumps Roddy off buckles, CHOPS him, then CHOPS! Roddy fires a forearm, Dax fires back, and then Dax headlocks.
Roddy powers up and out, Dax runs him over, and things keep moving. Roddy drops down then DROPKICKS! Cash runs up but Roddy dodges to DROPKICK! Kyle fires off on Cash, Roddy fires off on Dax, and they send FTR at each other! FTR dosido but Paragon trips them up! Kyle has an ANKLE LOCK and Roddy is after his Strong Hold! FTR flail to the ropes, ROPEBREAK! Paragon lets FTR go and the fans cheer. FTR regroups with Stokely, Dax talks some smack on Schiavone, but Kyle tags in. Cash tells the fans to shut up and Dax goes to the ring. But Cash swipes at Kyle! That lets Dax CLOBBER Kyle! Cash tags in and Kyle is fed to the knees!
Cash UPPERCUTS Kyle, CHOPS him, then UPPERCUTS again! Cash whips, but Kyle reverses to KICK, KICK, and KICK! Tag to Roddy, and Kyle feeds Cash to an IRISH CURSE BACKBREAKER! Kyle PENALTY KICKS, Roddy covers, TWO! Roddy drags Cash up, tags Kyle, and they KICK and CHOP away! The ref counts, the fans cheer, but Dax storms in! The Paragon KICKS and CHOPS him, too! Stokely hurries over to coach FTR up. Dax & Cash stand, talk it out, and double check each other. They’re both alright, and they take their time going to their corner. Dax tags in but that was from the outside! That doesn’t count! The ref argues with Dax, Kyle goes after Cash! Kyle drags Cash in, wrenches and YANKS the arm, then WRINGS Cash out! Kyle digs his knee into the arm but Cash endures. Cash fights up, but Kyle wrenches to an ELBOW BREAKER! Kyle hammerlocks Cash and puts him in the corner, tag to Roddy> Paragon mugs Cash, then Roddy wrenches for an ELBOW BREAKER!
Roddy wrenches and wrangles Cash to stomp the arm! Cash writhes, but Roddy drags Cash up and whips him to the corner. Tag to Kyle, they fire knees, then Kyle hammerlocks to wrangle Cash. Kyle drops elbows and knees into Cash, and Collision goes to break.
Playoff Palooza returns again and Roddy hot tags Kyle! But Dax CLOBBERS Roddy! Kyle ROCKS Dax, KICKS Cash on the apron, then KICKS, KICKS, KICKS! Dax runs up but Kyle DECKS him! But Cash LARIATS Kyle on the apron! Cash drags Roddy to the steel steps, Dax helps out the foot in the gap! DROPKICK to the steps to crush Roddy’s foot! The fans boo, but now the bad foot is put inside the ring frame! Dax stomps away on Roddy while Cash wraps the canvas strings around Roddy’s leg! Kyle FLYING KNEE STRIKES! Down goes Dax, but Cash FLAPJACKS Kyle off the railing! Cash THROWS Kyle into the steel steps!
The fans boo but Stokely says shut your mouths! This is the greatest tag team of all time! Cash SMACKS Kyle off the steel steps, pushes him into the ring, then covers, TWO! The fans boo but Cash soaks up that heat. Cash drags Kyle up, bumps him off buckles, and he CHOPS! Tag to Dax, Dax brings Kyle around to put through ropes, and then Dax ROCKS and KICKS Kyle on repeat! The fans boo, Dax backs off and argues with the ref, letting Cash get his shots in! Cash LARIATS Kyle into the ring, then tells fans to hush. Dax drags Kyle up to SLINGSHOT SUPLEX! Cover, TWO! Kyle toughs it out and FTR frowns.
The fans taunt FTR, apparently for Dax and Stokely being bald like Ricochet. Kyle fires body shots, then forearms! Dax CHOPS and Kyle staggers. Dax whips Kyle to a corner, runs up, but Kyle dodges! Dax hits the post on the leap! But Roddy is still down with the bad foot! Cash tags in, he runs up and ELBOWS Kyle! Then Cash headlocks, just to short arm LARIAT! Cover, TWO!! Kyle survives on instinct alone, but Cash looms over him. Roddy is free of the ring frame, but then Cash BLASTS him! Cash goes back to JAB Kyle, but Kyle KICSK! And KICKS! And ROCKS Cash, but Cash headlocks. Kyle powers up and out, but Cash goes up and over!
Cash keeps moving, but Kyle hits the kitchen sink knee! Both men are down, Kyle crawls, but still no Roddy! Cash tags Dax, Dax runs up, but Kyle BOOTS Dax down! Kyle kicks at Cash, Cash blocks, but Kyle blocks Cash’s haymaker! Kyle wrenches the arm, hammerlocks it, then SWEEPS the leg! Kyle looks to his corner, still no Roddy! Kyle KICKS Dax! And KICKS Cash! And repeat! The fans chant “YES! YES! YES!” in the spirit of the American Dragon, and Kyle fires up! Kyle runs to FOREARM SMASH Dax in a corner! Cash ROCKS Kyle, runs, but into another KNEE! Dax and Kyle DOUBLE LARIAT! They’re down but the fans fire up!
Cash creeps up on Roddy to get that bad leg! SHIN BREAKER on the steel steps! Roddy writhes, but then Kyle BLASTS Cash off the apron! Dax kicks Kyle, reels him in, but Kyle fights free of the driver! GUILLOTINE FACELOCK!! Stokely panics but Cash FLYING LARIATS! Cover, TWO!! Kyle survives and FTR is beside themselves while Collision again goes picture in picture!
Cash returns to the FTR corner while Dax paces around Kyle. Dax kicks Kyle, stomps him, then paces a bit more. Kyle goes to the ropes, Dax brings him up, and Dax KICKS at Kyle’s leg! Dax snapmares Kyle, clamps on a chinlock, and he grinds Kyle down. Kyle endures, fights up, and he JAW- NO, Dax lets go before the jawbreaker, and then he clamps back on with the chinlock! Dax grinds Kyle down again, Kyle endures again, and the fans rally. Kyle fights up, fires body shots, but Dax CHOPS! Dax whips, Kyle stops himself, but then both men COLLIDE! They fall and the ref starts a standing count! Kyle and Dax crawl, Cash tags in!
Cash rushes up, and he DROPKICKS Kyle away from the Paragon corner! Dax goes out to whip Roddy hard into railing! Cash puts Kyle under the ropes and he GUILLOTINE CATAPULTS him! Kyle sputters, Cash tags Dax, and Dax drags Kyle up to CHOP! Kyle wobbles, but he ROCKS Dax! Playoff Palooza is once again single picture as Dax CHOPS Kyle! Roddy reaches his corner, Dax pushes Cash back in, and then Dax tags in. Dax anchors Kyle’s leg, Kyle fights and rolls and BOOTS Dax away! Hot tag to Roddy! The fans fire up as Roddy BOOTS and ENZIGIRIS Dax, then he BOOTS and CHOPS Cash! Roddy CHOPS and CHOPS and CHOPS, then he dodges! Dax RAMS Cash, then Roddy LEAPING LARIATS Dax! Cash runs up, but into a clinch and IRISH CURSE BACKBREAKER! But it’s double-edged given the bad leg!! Roddy hurries to get Dax, but Dax grabs the bad leg! Dax drags Roddy to the corner and SLINGS the leg into the corner! Then shoutout to Bret Hart, HANGING FIGURE FOUR!!

It was the hardest fought match between these two teams yet, but FTR take the win! Adam Cole hurries out here to make sure his guys are okay, but now FTR creeps up. Stokely anchors Cole, and Roddy gets a SHATTER MACHINE!! Cole sees he’s all alone now, but he dares them to bring it then! But wait! Daniel Garcia is here! And he has a crowbar! Red Death chases FTR off, so his avenging 2Point0 will have to wait. Garcia grabs a mic to tell FTR, “Two of the biggest, fakest pieces of trash I have ever met in my entire life! You guys wanna go around, you guys wanna stab people in the back? You wanna stab ME in the back?!
“The only problem is, you guys didn’t dig the knife deep enough to finish the job! So now, lemme tell you this. Now it’s your problem. Because week after week after week after week after week, I will be after you until I get my hands on you and make you pay!” The fans fire up for that! When and where will Garcia finally take the Top Guys out?
My Thoughts:
A great episode of Collision, even for this being a pre-taped and even then slightly delayed episode because of the NBA Playoffs getting in the way. Great opening with The Young Bucks “changing” the match order to try and swerve Swerve. But of course Swerve was winning, good stuff with Blake Christian. Good stuff also with Omega going out there to help Swerve against The Bucks, keeping the link of them in Team AEW going. And we’re getting quite the 8 Man Tag next week, a good tease for the possible Anarchy in the Arena match.
Very good promo from Samoa Joe to call out Moxley, and very good hype promos for Mone VS Hayter and Fletcher VS Hangman. Very good match from Toni VS Aminata, Aminata continues to look strong even in defeat. Still unsure how Aminata VS Deeb is going to go in the ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament. Anna of course won her return match, but I’m a little surprised she ended up a target for Ford & Bayne. Anna will be a good opponent for Megan to bide her time, though, and maybe Anna gets an ally for a tag match or two.
Caster having another Open Challenge is ridiculous but I guess even he is moving past The Acclaimed, aka not going back for revenge on Bowens. Hologram gets a great win for it, and maybe Hologram will get a title story soon. Though, all the midcard titles are wrapped up in stories… Meanwhile, great Tornado Tag of Top Flight VS CRU, and there wasn’t really cheating for CRU to win since it was No Disqualification, though not caring about Leila was a pretty harsh spot. A string of signatures taking out Darius is good enough, and maybe CRU could get a title shot, if not for Hurt Syndicate being the AEW tag champions and the Sons of Texas probably going until All In: Texas.
Awesome match from Bandido VS Dralistico, but it was clear that being on just this pre-taped and even then slightly delayed episode, Bandido would retain. Rush VS Fox definitely felt like Rush taking out his frustrations over Dralistico’s loss, though. And I feel like they should definitely build to Bandido VS Rush, but that’s only if ROH gets a replacement event for Supercard of Honor now being in July. Very good promo from Heel Roppongi Vice, and I like that Rocky brought up the Conglomeration shirt as a point of disrespect. They are also clearly going to have a match with The Outrunners after that confrontation backstage, that’ll be good stuff to show what Heel RPG Vice does in the ring.
And then just an awesome main event tag match from FTR VS Roddy & Kyle. It wasn’t even really blatant cheating that won it for FTR, such as Stokely distracting and someone doing a low blow. It was just some Heel sneakiness, but mostly just the usual gritty style from both teams. And of course, good stuff with Adam Cole and Daniel Garcia showing up. Cole & Garcia VS FTR is certainly happening soon, though I can’t be sure where that goes, because it would make no sense for Garcia to turn. Unless this is also to help give Cope his return moment so that Cope & Garcia are the ones that take down Heel FTR. Even then, not sure where that goes…

The fans fire up, Anna whips, but Megan blocks and reverses. Megan runs in, Anna slips outside, and then Anna HEEL KICKS! Ford is there to anchor Anna, Harley protests, but Megan BOOTS Anna in the distraction!
The fans boo but then Ford ASAI MOONSAULTS! Down goes Anna and Ford soaks up the heat. Megan storms over but so does Harley. Harley coaches Anan but Megan drags her up. Kyle stomps Fox in the corner again and again, then stands on Fox. The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Kyle steps off to say he has ’til 5. Kyle CHOPS, Fox is stinging, but Kyle CHOPS again! Kyle whips corner to corner, Fox goes up and out, and then Fox BOOTS Kyle! Fox slips in, slips out, and Kyle hits buckles! Fox trips Kyle, the fans rally, and Fox slingshots to facelock, only for Kyle to suplex first! Fox slips free, Kyle elbows him away, then Kyle runs.
Fox drops, then DROPKICKS! The fans fire up while Kyle checks his face. Callis admits, Fox is on another level athletically. The problem is: Fox panders to the fans. Fox knuckle locks Kyle, goes up, up, jumps around a bit, and Callis says that’s a waste of movement! Fox still jumps to wheelbarrow and BULLDOG! The fans fire up but Callis says this is pathetic. Kyle bails out, Fox builds speed, but Kyle is back! POP-UP and SWINGING SIDE SLAM! Callis loves it as Kyle struts around and says “SUCK IT!” Kyle looms over Fox and stomps him while Collision goes picture in picture.
Fox rises, Kyle storms over, but Fox fires body shots. Kyle eggs Fox on, then scoops to SLAM! Kyle says it’s that easy. Kyle still checks his teeth, then he goes back to Fox. Fox rises, kicks low, then kicks again. Fox fires forearms but Kyle scoops and SLAMS! Kyle rains down shots, the ref reprimands about closed fists, so Kyle shifts to driving in ELBOWS! Kyle stops to cool off, then he stalks Fox to a corner. Kyle climbs up, soaks up heat, and he rains down fists! Kyle goes all the way to nine, then winds it up, but Fox YANKS Kyle down! Kyle shoves Fox away and he CLOBBERS fox! Kyle shakes out the stars before standing back up. Fox sputters but Kyle drags him up. Kyle bumps Fox off buckles, turns him around, and BODY BLOWS! Fox fires body shots, shoves Kyle away, and then adjusts. But Kyle is back to trip Fox up! Except Fox split-leg flips through! And he rolls Kyle to then BASEMENT CUTTER! The fans fire up and Fox runs in, but Kyle BOOTS him!
Kyle goes up, but Fox ENZIGIRIS! Kyle wobbles, Fox grabs his arms, ICONOCLASM and a roll-through, for another CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Kyle survives but Fox stays focused. Fox drags Kyle up as the fans rally, and Fox tucks the arms. Kyle fights the lift, throws Fox back, and SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Kyle snarls and waits on Fox. The trios sort out and Ishii starts against Azucar. Ishii is definitely still pissed with how Rocky turned on him, The Conglomeration, and NJPW’s Chaos. But then Trent CLUBS Ishii from behind! Ishii ROCKS Trent return, then ROCKS Rocky! The ref reprimands but Rocky RAMS Ishii into the corner! Archer tags in, he shoves Ishii, and then he CLOBBERS Ishii! Ishii tumbles, but Brody tags in! The fans rally for “MEAT! MEAT!” and bark it up. Archer and Brody circle, step up, and they throw forearms! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Brody fires a flurry then CHOPS! Brody puts some stank on it, but Archer throat chops!
Archer runs, but Brody BOOTS him! Brody runs and DIVES out onto Archer! They hit the barriers, Bandido & Ishii run in and BLAST RPG Vice! Bandido rallies the fans, Brody brings Archer up and ROCKS him! Brody stalks Archer to the railing, sits him down with a CHOP, then barks as he gets space. Beach Break returns again and Ishii dodges Rocky to GERMAN SUPELX! Cover, Trent breaks it! Ishii snarls and he ROCKS Rocky, ROCKS Trent, repeat! The fans rally, Ishii runs, but into DOUBLE JUMP KNEES! Archer BOOTS Ishii! Archer BLASTS Brody! RPG drags Ishii up, they put him on the rope, and Rocky goes up! GUILLOTINE DOUBLE STOMP! Backstage interview with Paragon.
Lexy Nair is with Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong and the AEW TNT Champion, Adam Cole. Lexy brings up Cole’s “target on his back,” and Cole says that’s how it is when you’re a champion. A lot of people want their shot, but that’s how he likes it. He is Adam Cole Baybay, so he is ready to take on anyone and everyone who wants their shot. But then in step the Grizzled Young Veterans. Zack Gibson says it is ironic that the very top stars this business has ever produced are really just three babies. Kyle says cool it right there, pal! Kyle admits, he can be juvenile and immature, maybe young at heart, but he is not some baby.
James Drake says this is Paragon’s real problem: All heart, all jokes, but they’ve gone soft. Roddy shouts, “GRIZZLED~! Young Veterans… I like the scarves, guys. But fellas, you know what I’d like more? To beat their asses.” Gibson says next week, GYV VS Kyle & Roddy, and Gibson warns them right now, the Paragon will be dragged into the deep water. And when they’re down there, gasping for air, then they’ll see if there’s an ounce of fight left in Paragon. Drake says he wants Cole on commentary so we can hear his heart break as everyone sees the best team is GYV. Cole says if GYV wants to be one of the best tag teams in AEW, they’ve gotta earn it.
But trust Cole when he says the pressure isn’t on them, it’s all on GYV. Paragon heads out, who will crack under said pressure when these teams finally have it out?

Blake survives, the fans rally, and Bailey storms back over. Blake trips Bailey into buckle! Blake runs in, Bailey dodges, but then Blake dodges to DROPKICK Bailey in the back! Chicago already likes where this is going as the table is propped up in a corner. Kaun & Liona make sure to bring trash cans full of plunder, as well as their own pool cue and… a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire! Bill & Keith rush them at the ramp, the bell rings, and Liona JAMS Bill with the bat!! Keith and Kaun brawl, Liona CLUBS Bill with the bat, and then Kaun use a wet floor sign to SMACK Keith! Kaun brings the trashcan over, SMACKS Keith with a road sign, but Keith CLAWS Kaun’s eyes!
Bill SMACKS Liona with a trash can! But Liona CLUBS him with the bad again! And even in the leg! Keith uses that street sign to SMACK Kaun now! Bill SMACKS Liona with the pool cue! Bill whips Liona into the steel steps hard! The steps go sliding, Kaun fights back on Keith, but Bill BOOTS Kaun! Bill SMACKS Keith with the street sign, and SMACKS him again! Keith CHOKES Liona with the wet floor sign, but Liona rips that up! Bill has a traffic cone and he SMACKS Kaun! Keith CLOBBERS Liona with a pipe! They drag Keith up, put him in the Tree of Woe, and then add a trashcan to the mix! Liona rallies the fans as Beach Break returns to single picture. Liona runs to RAM the can! Kaun adds a DROPKICK! The Gates drag Keith out of the Tree but into the drop zone, BANZAI DROP! Cover, BILL BREAKS IT!
Bill fires hands on Kaun and LARIATS him out of the ring! The fans fire up and Bill storms out after Kaun. Bill brings Kaun to the double tables Liona set up earlier, and he RAMS Kaun into railing. Bill ROCKS Kaun, then picks up that backpack he had earlier… Bill grins and opens the backpack up. Bill dumps out BRICKS! Just like he did to Hobbs months ago! Bill has a brick, and he stands Kaun up! Bill gives Kaun his last rites, then swings! Kaun ducks, and brick shatters against POST! Bill shakes out his hand, Kaun CLOBBERS Bill with a monitor!! Liona POUNCES Bill onto the commentary desk!! The fans fire up while Nigel & Schiavone have to scramble!
Keith SMACKS Liona with a trashcan lid!! Liona doesn’t even blink?! The fans tell Keith he messed up! Keith gets mad, but Liona blocks the next shot. Liona JAMS and SMACKS Keith in return! Then he hoists Keith up onto the barriers. The fans rally as Liona gets space. Liona runs back in, but Keith HEADSHOTS him with the lid! Liona just roars! Liona CROSSBODIES Keith into the timekeeper’s area! Bill slowly stirs while the ref checks Keith and Liona. Kaun stalks Bill, drags him up, and brings him to those tables. Kaun goes to the apron, but Bill trips Kaun up! Keith is back up, and Bill crawls into the ring.

Liona drags Keith out, and he goes for the tables! Liona SMACKS Keith off the apron, goes up after him, and then fireman’s carries! The fans are thunderous, but Keith fights free! Keith CLAWS Liona’s eyes, but Liona clamps onto Keith’s head! Keith RISING HEADBUTTS! Bill is up and he BOOTS Liona down through the tables!! Liona is down in the wreckage of his own making, but Kaun SMASHES Bill with the trashcan! Kaun brings Bill around, but Keith has his panel!

He says here in Chicago, we’ve heard the chant of “MONGO! MONGO!” and it is time to pay tribute to one of the great football players, one of the great pro-wrestlers, the late, great Steve McMichael! The fans cheer that, and we are joined by his widow, Misty McMichael, and she is happy to be here. Steve was the greatest man she’s ever known, made a special impact on both football and wrestling. They were together 27 years in all, and she is so happy to pay tribute. And then we get Dean Malenko! The fans cheer and Dean waves.
Schiavone brings up Mongo being a four-time All Pro, two-time Pro Bowl selection, and part of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl 20 winning team, and was even inducted into the NFL Pro-Football Hall of Fame last year. The fans cheer, and Schiavone says Mongo exemplified the fighting spirit and determination of all great Chicago athletes. Plus, in this very building, Mongo coached the Chicago Slaughter to an undefeated season in Arena Football! The fans cheer that, and Schiavone says as a wrestler, Mongo was one of the Four Horsemen, and even became a United States Heavyweight Champion.

Schiavone says they’ve held together like this many times over the years, but tonight is the most special and most emotional. Ric agrees. He wants to say Chicago is one of the greatest wrestling towns in the world.
Ric once coined the phrase, “To be the man, you gotta beat the man.” And Steve McMichael was more man than anyone he’s ever known! Mongo fought ALS for six YEARS! Fully aware of everything around him, yet unable to move. That massive 280 pound man finally made it to the Hall of Fame, and is now up there in Heaven, God bless him and God bless you all. Ric says he cannot say enough about Misty. She never left Mongo’s side. She learned how to be a wonderful nurse. The fans cheer on Mongo, and Ric thanks them for that. Ric thanks everyone for being here, and Schiavone thanks Ric for being here. #ThankYouMongo, we will miss you.
AEW World Tag Team Championships #1 Contenders match: The Sons of Texas VS CRU!
Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara may be the ROH World Tag Team Champions, but that doesn’t mean they’re just going to stop. But Lio Rush pointed out that he and Bobby Lashley have history that needs to be sorted out. Will the Man of the Hour and Action Andretti be a sight to see? Or will CRU not know what to do after losing to The Natural & The Spanish God?
The teams sort out and Dustin starts against Action. The fans rally, Dustin and Action feel things out, but Dustin avoids Action’s leg pick. Action and Dustin reset, tie up, and then break. They tie up again, Dustin powers Action to the corner, but Action turns things around. Action lets off slowly, then he mocks the deep breath. Action shoves Dustin but Dustin shoves Action! Lio CLOBBERS Dustin, then he dodges Sammy! CRU mugs Sammy, then they mug Dustin! The fans boo and the ref reprimands. Lio backs off but Action whips Dustin. Dustin says “Not Today!” and UPPERCUTS! Then he runs, but Lio KICKS Dustin!
Dustin swings, misses, but Action runs up! Dustin sends Action into Lio, then arm-drags Action! Dustin wrenches Action, tags to Sammy, and the Sons of Texas DOUBLE SUPLEX! Then Dustin SHINING WIZARDS, and Sammy STANDING MOONSAULTS! Cover, but Lio runs in! Sammy dodges so Lio stomps Action! Sammy JUMP KNEES Lio, Dustin LARIATS Action up and out! Sammy tags Dustin back in but CRU wants chairs? They make Arkady Aura and the timekeeper give up their chairs, but then the Sons of Texas go out to CLAW and CLOBBER CRU for it! Sammy RAMS Lio, Lio fires hands, but Dustin UPPERCUTS Action! Dustin and Sammy send CRU into railing on opposite ends of ringside. The fans cheer as Dustin CLAWS Action’s back! Lio wants a timeout, but then Action sends Dustin into steel steps!
The fans boo and Sammy is worried for Dustin, but Action anchors Sammy at the apron! Lio HANDSPRING KICKS Sammy down, then DIVES! Direct hit, and then Lio sets Sammy up for Action’s ARABIAN PRESS! The fans boo as CRU stands tall, but Collision goes picture in picture.
CRU soaks up the heat, and they stomp Sammy. Actin puts Dustin in the ring, then CHOP BLOCKS his leg! Dustin falls in a heap but Action drags him around by his leg. Action puts Dustin’s leg on the ropes for a HIP DROP! The ref reprimands but Action HIP DROPS the leg again! Action tags Lio, Lio looms over Dustin and talks trash. Lio kicks away on Dustin’s leg, then GROUND DRAGON SCREWS! Lio BITES Dustin’s face and the ref reprimands. Lio stops, then he ROCKS Dustin! And ROCKS him again! Lio talks trash but Dustin stands. Lio KICKS the leg, but Dustin UPPERCUTS! Lio wobbles, but he comes back for another CHOP BLOCK!
Tag to Action, Action has Dustin’s leg on the ropes, and he pulls on the foot! The ref counts, Action stop, but Lio pulls on the leg! Sammy protests while Dustin suffers, and Collision goes to break.
Beach Break returns as CRU have Dustin’s legs! They DOUBLE LEG DDT! Dustin writhes, the ref reprimands, but Action flips off Sammy. Sammy says this should be a disqualification for the tag partner count. The fans tell Action off but he waits on Dustin. Dustin rises, Action runs in, but Dustin BOOTS him! Dustin hurries along the ropes, but Action runs in! Dustin DUMPS Action back out! Lio runs in, Dustin dodges and then SNAP POWERSLAMS! The fans fire up as Dustin crawls! Hot tag to Sammy! And he FLIES over the corner to take out Action! Sammy puts Action in, climbs up top, and he CROSSBODIES CRU!
The fans fire up with Sammy and he wrenches Lio for a CUTTER! Sammy BOOTS Action, goes up, up, and FLYING CUTTERS! Cover, TWO! Action survives but Sammy just says time to go up! Sammy puts Action in the drop zone, climbs up the corner, and aims again. 450- NO, Sammy has to roll through as Action move! Sammy shoves Action at Lio, then shoves Lio at Action. CRU dosido and Lio hooks a leg for Action to NECKBREAKER DROP! The fans boo CRU but Lio says Sammy is dealing with sharks! The fans say more like baby sharks! Lio talks trash, but Sammy swings on him! Lio spins Sammy for Action to KICK, KNEE, and UPPERCUT!
Lio fires fast hands, ROCKS Sammy, and then DOUBLE ROUNDHOUSES connect! CRU then DOUBLE SUPLEX for a DOUBLE FALCON ARROW! Cover, DUSTIN BARRELS IN! The fans fire up as all four men are down! Lexy Nair is with the Galaxy’s Greatest, and brings up how last week, Kris won over Willow Nightingale, but not without help from the Death Riders. Speaking of Willow, she storms in and asks if Kris has something to say. Is Kris sorry again? Yes, actually! Is she gonna claim she didn’t see Marina Shafir choke Willow out? No, of course she didn’t! Willow says save the excuses. Kris and Yuta used to be Best Friends! Yeah, well now they’re not! Willow and Kris shout over each other, but Willow says she is too busy with the Death Riders. Willow pulls Kris’ hair to get her to stop, but Kris says when Willow is ready, she knows where to find Kris.
The two storm off in opposite directions, and clearly the tension has only mounted between them. What will it take for the former friends to be friends again?

The Steel Cage main event for Dynamite was brutal, and naturally both The Opps and the Death Riders got involved. Anarchy in the Arena awaits, but will Hobbs and Yuta still be part of it? Or will one of them take out the other with extreme prejudice?
While Hobbs is on the corner as part of his entrance, Yuta attacks! The bell rings while the fans boo, and the ref reprimands Yuta for the sneak attack. Yuta doesn’t care as he CLUBS away on Hobbs! But wait, Hobbs isn’t even bothered. The fans tell Yuta he messed up, but then Yuta SLAPS Hobbs! Talk about double or nothing… Hobbs chases Yuta around the outside, then back into the ring. Yuta CLUBS away on Hobbs, but Hobbs grabs him with both hands! Yuta slips free, goes to the apron, and he HOTSHOTS Hobbs! Yuta runs in again, but Hobbs CLOBBERS him! The fans cheer while Hobbs snarls.
Hobbs stands Yuta up, but Yuta fires a forearm! Hobbs just frowns. Yuta fires another forearm, but Hobbs storms up on him. Yuta fires another forearm, but still Hobbs storms up. So Yuta pokes Hobbs in the eye! Yuta goes up, leaps, but into Hobbs’ arms! The fans cheer as Hobbs then pops Yuta around, and OKLAHOMA STAMPEDES! Hobbs rains down fists now, then he paces. The fans fire up with Hobbs and he stalks Yuta. Hobbs whips Yuta to TOSS him out of the ring! The fans rally, Hobbs goes out, and Hobbs drags Yuta up. The fans cheer for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” and Hobbs POSTS Yuta! Yuta falls in a heap but Hobbs brings him right back up.
Hobbs SLAMS Yuta on the apron! Hobbs then picks Yuta up to SLAM him again, and again, and again! The ring count is 7 of 10 but Hobbs shoves Yuta in. The fans cheer and Hobbs storms in. Hobbs grins but Yuta CHOPS! Hobbs just SLAPS Yuta down! Yuta is dazed, Hobbs brings him up, and Hobbs hoists Yuta to the top rope. Hobbs climbs, brings Yuta to the very top, and he SUPERPLEXES! Cover, TWO! Hobbs grins, puts Yuta in the corner, and he CHOPS! The fans “WOO~,” and Hobbs CHOPS again! Hobbs then puts Yuta across the top ropes, and fans chant “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” as Hobbs CLUBS Yuta!
Hobbs climbs up, picks Yuta up, but Yuta slips free! Yuta CLUBS Hobbs, then THROWS Hobbs down! Yuta runs to basement DROPKICK Hobbs’ leg! The fans boo while Hobbs writhes, but Yuta cheers himself on. Yuta stomps Hobbs, stomps him more, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Yuta pulls at Hobbs’ kneepad, then the tape underneath. Yuta stomps the leg, then he brings Hobbs up. Yuta CHOP BLOCKS Hobbs’ leg, then puts it on the ropes. Yuta stands on the ropes, the ref counts, but Yuta stops at 4. Yuta tells the ref he has ’til 5, then he STOMPS Hobbs’ leg! Yuta drags Hobbs around, twists Hobbs’ foot, but Hobbs CLUBS at Yuta! Yuta hobbles but then he drops an ELBOW on Hobbs’ leg! Hobbs clamps on with a chinlock but Yuta fights that off. Yuta grinds Hobbs’ leg, but Hobbs grabs at Yuta. Yuta fights that off, and he mockingly applauds. Yuta flips the fans off, but Hobbs CHOPS him!
Yuta CLAWS Hobbs’ eyes, the ref reprimands, but Yuta goes back to Hobbs. Hobbs hobbles but he still kicks Yuta. Yuta stomps Hobbs’ leg, puts him in a corner, and he puts the leg in the ropes. The ref counts and Hobbs grabs at Yuta, but Yuta BITES Hobbs’ hand! Yuta runs side to side and DROPKICKS Hobbs to the outside! Yuta goes out after Hobbs and he looms over Hobbs. Yuta drags Hobbs around and SLAMS the leg against barriers! Yuta SLAMS the leg against the barriers again, then refreshes the ring count. Yuta drags Hobbs around again, then hits a KNEE JAMMER! Yuta drags Hobbs up and puts him in.
Beach Break returns to single picture, Yuta paces around Hobbs, and then Yuta stands Hobbs up. Hobbs shoves Yuta but Yuta CHOP BLOCKS him down! Yuta shows off by doing jumping jacks, then he drags Hobbs to another toehold. The fans rally while Hobbs endures. Hobbs sits up, grabs at Yuta, but then kicks him again and again! Yuta lets go, comes back, but Hobbs ROCKS him! Yuta rewinds, shoots around, but Hobbs fights the German Suplex! Yuta CHOP BLOCKS again, then runs, and he DROPKICKS Hobbs out! The fans boo but Yuta builds speed. Yuta DIVES, and he sends Hobbs into railing! Yuta RAMS Hobbs into the apron, then the railing!
Yuta taunts fans, puts Hobbs in the ring, then he fires himself up! The fans boo more as Yuta climbs, but Hobbs ROCKS him first! The fans fire up, Hobbs climbs, and he reels Yuta in. Yuta fights the lift and fires body shots! Hobbs ROCKS Yuta, but Yuta BITES Hobbs again! Yuta SHOVES Hobbs down, and DIVING BODY PRESS! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer as Hobbs stays in this, but Yuta snarls. Yuta aims from a corner, mocks the Yes chant, and runs in, but into a LARIAT! The fans fire up but Hobbs still hobbles. Hobbs winds up to LARIAT! And ELBOW! Yuta dodges the next shot, but runs into a POWERSLAM!
The fans fire up as Hobbs headbutts buckles! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” echoes and Hobbs LARIATS in the corner! Hobbs LARIATS again and again, “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Hobbs short arm LARIATS, covers, TWO!! Yuta survives all that meat, but Hobbs brings down the straps! The fans fire up as Hobbs then lifts Yuta, but Yuta sunset flips! Hobbs YANKS Yuta up, but Yuta KICKS the leg! Yuta runs, but Hobbs hits a SPINEBUSTER! Cover, Hobbs wins!

Hobbs handles town bidness, even with a bad leg! But then Marina Shafir CHOP BLOCKS Hobbs!! The fans boo as The Problem kicks away on Hobbs’ leg! Yuta joins in, but here comes Willow! The Babe with the Power rushes in and she glares at Marina. Marina runs up, but into a SPINEBUSTER from Willow! Willow SLAPS Marina around, Yuta sighs and pulls Willow’s hair! The fans boo and Willow is pissed. Willow SLAPS Yuta, roars at him, and then Hobbs is up! Hobbs ROCKS Yuta, Willow reels Yuta in, but Marina makes the save! The Death Riders retreat, but Kris is on stage! Kris chose not to help her former friend, how is she supposed to make amends?
As for Willow & Hobbs, they stand tall. With just over a week left, will these powerhouses be obvious choices for Anarchy in the Arena?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision that only suffered from TNT and/or MAX having broadcasting problems. Not sure why it happened, but this isn’t the first time a prerecorded Collision has been messed up on some level. Are they just putting interns and amateurs behind the desk on these episodes? Thankfully when some technology fails, other technology is there to make up for it. Ironically, that loving tribute to Steve McMichael was a great place to end any broadcast, and what a great surprise for Ric Flair to show up.
Megan VS Anna was a very good opener, and that buckle spot was a very clever way for Ford to factor into the finish. Megan was of course going to win, though, and she stays strong and undefeated while waiting on a title shot. Good promo from Mina to hype up her shot at Toni, and Mina will have a great match with Julia Hart next Wednesday. Great stuff from The Don Callis Family tonight, from Kyle VS Fox to the Six Man Tag. Great win for Kyle to keep him sharp while waiting on title stories, but also good win for the Faces. The Outrunners coming to help after was also very fitting, I wonder if we’ll get a 10 Man of Bandido, Brody, Ishii & Outrunners VS Kyle, Konosuke, Alexander and RPG Vice. That’s at least a solid Buy-In match.
Very good stuff with Bailey VS Blake but Bailey of course won. Bailey calling out Okada was great, and of course Okada insults Bailey rather than fight him. LFI attacking Bailey was a nice surprise, and while Dralistico might want another match with Bailey, I think it’s time we get Bailey VS Rush, and then the winner of that can challenge Okada for the Continental Championship. Story wise, Okada VS Bailey makes sense, but Okada VS Rush is just awesome to think about. The Chicago Street Fight was very good, and I appreciate even Chicago likes Big Bill. Bill & Keith winning is great for them, and can certainly feed into Jericho’s return and how Jericho still won’t respect his Branches. Then we get Bill VS Jericho, and Learning Tree splits up.
Good promo from The Paragon with GYV, and we’ll get a great match of GYV VS Roddy & Kyle. Cole bringing up his TNT Championship but then not setting up a challenger is odd, but I think it has to do with Sammy Guevara taking his detour into this tag title story. CRU VS Sons of Texas was great, but as I was saying for Dynamite, Sons of Texas winning was just a given. Very good promo from Willow and Kris, great match of Yuta VS Hobbs, and great win for Hobbs. Hobbs & Willow running off Yuta & Marina was good stuff, I wonder if they fit in a Mixed Tag before Anarchy in the Arena as a sampler of what we could get for Double or Nothing, Willow beating up Yuta while Marina tries to choke out Hobbs.

The teams sort out and Don Callis of course joins commentary. Chicago rallies and duels for Ospreay and Hangman, and Ospreay holds the ropes open for Hangman to step out. Ospreay starts against The Alpha and the fans fire up with the bell. Ospreay and Konosuke tie up, Konosuke wrenches to wristlock, but Ospreay spins and wrenches to hammerlock, then headlocks. Ospreay wrenches, Konosuke switches to headlock, but Ospreay powers out. Konosuke RUNS Ospreay over, Ospreay kips up, but Konosuke throws him down by his hair! Ospreay kips up again and ROCKS Konosuke! Ospreay whips, Konosuke reverses, and things speed up.
Konosuke hurdles, Ospreay leaps over, and Konosuke trips Ospreay. Cover, ONE! Ospreay sweeps and covers, ONE! Konosuke narrowly ducks the buzzsaw and the fans fire up! The fans cheer and Konosuke backs off. Tag to the Walking Weapon and the fans tell off Callis. Ospreay steps back, looks to Hangman, and Hangman holds out his hand. Ospreay says not yet, and he circles with Alexander. They tie up, Alexander puts Ospreay on the ropes, but the ref counts. Alexander lets off slowly, but then RAMS Ospreay down low! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Alexander CLUBS Ospreay. Alexander whips, Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges then RANAS!
The fans fire up while Alexander tumbles! Ospreay then wrenches Alexander, reaches out to Hangman, but Alexander whips Ospreay to the Callis corner. Alexander runs up but Ospreay BOOTS him, ELBOWS Konosuke, and jumps up, but into a FLAPJACK! Alexander stares Hangman down while the fans boo. Alexander bumps Ospreay off buckles, hoists him up with an Electric Chair, and Konosuke goes up! ELECTRIC CHAIR TOSS JUMP KNEE COMBO!! Then Konosuke BOOTS Hangman off the corner! The fans boo, the ref stops Hangman from getting in, but that lets Alexander stomp and CHOKE Ospreay at ropes!
The fans boo while Konosuke taunts Hangman. Callis brags that Konosuke & Alexander aren’t just a team, they’re family! Konosuke CLUBS Ospreay but the fans rally up. Konosuke bumps Ospreay off buckles but Ospreay fires forearms! Konosuke CLAWS Ospreay’s face, then lifts, but Ospreay fights the Blue Thunder. Ospreay fires elbows but Konosuke shoves him to ropes. Konosuke ROCKS Ospreay in the back with a forearm, then brings him around. Konosuke whips, but Ospreay tilt-o-whirl RANAS! The fans fire up while both men down, hot tag to Hangman! Hangman CLOBBERS Konosuke, BLASTS Alexander, then BOOTS Konosuke!
Hangman triangle jumps to LARIAT Alexander! Then he dodges Konosuke to scoop and FALL AWAY SLAM! The fans fire up as then Hangman PLANCHAS Alexander down! The fans fire up as Hangman quickly loads up on the apron. Konosuke runs up but Hangman BOOTS him away. Alexander anchors Hangman’s foot but Hangman kicks him away, to then ASAI MOONSAULT! And then he hurries in, wrenches and fireman’s carries, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER for Konosuke! Cover, TWO! Konosuke stays in this but Hangman stays focused. Callis admits, Hangman can string together high impact moves like no one else.
Hangman runs corner to corner, LARIATS Konosuke, then snapmares him to run and SLIDING- NO, Konosuke dodges! Konosuke ROCKS Hangman, Hangman ROCKS Konosuke, repeat! The fans rally behind Hangman as the shots keep going, but Konosuke fires boxing elbows! Hangman BOOTS the lariat, then gut wrenches! But Konosuke fights it to one of his own! Hangman slips free, shoves and dodges Konosuke, but Konosuke dodges, only for Hangman to POP-UP POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO! Konosuke is still in this but Hangman drags him over. Tag to Ospreay and the fans cheer as the two double whip.
Ospreay & Hangman DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE Konosuke, then Ospreay sets him up for Hangman’s SLIDING LARIAT! Ospreay RUNNING SHOOTING STAR PRESSES, covers, TWO! Konosuke survives again but Ospreay keeps close. Ospreay drags Konosuke up, fires Kawada Kicks, and the fans sing for him. Konosuke staggers to the corner, Hangman sets him up for Ospreay’s CHOP! Konosuke falls, Ospreay and Hangman nod, and Hangman tags in. They mug Konosuke, taking turns throwing haymakers. The ref reprimands, the two double whip, but Alexander grabs Konosuke! Ospreay runs up but Konosuke DUMPS Ospreay out!
Hangman runs up, BLASTS Alexander, but Konosuke CLOBBERS Hangman! Alexander slides in and runs to CROSSBODY Hangman off the apron! Alexander sets both men up, and Konosuke FLIES! Down go Ospreay & Hangman! The fans are torn because that was impressive, sot hey cheer on “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this match happen. The Don Callis Family is feeling good while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Hangman and Ospreay writhe while Konosuke & Alexander regroup. Konosuke drags Hangman up and into the ring, then puts him in an open corner. Konosuke stomps Hangman, stands on him, but stops as the ref counts 4. Konosuke tags Alexander and Alexander stalks Hangman along the ropes. Alexander KNEES Hangman, suplexes him high and hard, then covers, TWO! Hangman is tougher than that, but Alexander ELBOWS him in the head! Hangman gets up to ROCK Alexander, ROCK Konosuke, but Alexander kicks low. Alexander fires hands in the corner but lets off as the ref counts. Alexander and the ref argue, then Alexander goes back for more.
Alexander bumps Hangman off buckles, CHOPS him, but Hangman just gets mad. Alexander CHOPS again, but Hangman CHOPS back! And CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! Alexander pulls Hangman into the corner and Konosuke CHOKES him! The ref reprimands but Alexander and Konosuke trip Hangman up and drag him out of the ring. Konosuke THROWS Hangman into railing! Callis likes what he sees given it’s up close, and Konosuke ROCKS Hangman! Konosuke puts Hangman back in the ring, Alexander covers, TWO! Alexander drags Hangman up, kicks him, then wrenches him to a hammerlock.
Alexander wrangles Hangman to the mat, but Hangman endures as Alexander grinds the arm. Hangman fights forward, reaches out, and has the ROPEBREAK! Alexander holds on, but the ref counts. Callis creeps closer as Konosuke & Alexander double whip, but Ospreay HIDDEN BLADES Alexander! DRAGON SUPLEX for Konosuke! Hangman gets up, but Ospreay DECKS him!! Ospreay didn’t realize how it was and apologizes, but Hangman wants after him!
The ref gets in there to stop them from fighting each other, and Ospreay storms off. Will it be a Hidden Blade or a Buckshot that hits the jackpot at Double or Nothing?

Alicia Atout is with a very upset Darius, Dante & Last Baddie Standing. Alicia notes they are in action against the AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Hurt Syndicate, but last week- Darius stops Alicia there and says, “Last week,” only for Dante to explode and shout at MJF! You think they’re playing around with MJF’s “dirty, grimy lawn gnome lookin’ ass?!” If MJF wants to stick his nose in their business, Dante will bite that nose clean off! Darius cools Dante down, and tells Max he’ll get what’s coming. But speaking of business, MJF wasn’t the one Top Flight wanted. “Hurt Syndicate, we’ll keep it real and plain simple: We. Want. Those. Titles.”
They might underestimate Top Flight now, but all it takes is three seconds and we’ll see NEW tag team champions! Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara walk over, and The Natural says he likes the sound of that. Just remember something: people will underestimate you, but that is your fuel, that is your fire to prove them wrong. The Sons of Texas will be watching, and they wish Top Flight luck. Darius says he appreciates that. Top Flight heads out with encouragement from the ROH World Tag Team Champions, will Darius & Dante finally get some gold?

The One & Only swaggers around with the prosthetic leg he stole from the former WWE superstar. Will this be Ricochet’s newest trophy he never truly earned? Or will Zach prove that the one legged man in an ass kicking contest can still win?
The bell rings and the fans rally for Zach. Ricochet dares Zach to come tie up in a test of strength but the fans boo as Ricochet shows off what he can do with two legs. Zach rolls, has a three point stance, and Ricochet is wary. The two approach, tie up, and Zach arm-drags! The fans cheer while Ricochet is already frustrated. The two reset, circle, and Ricochet is upset that Zach isn’t standing up. Zach rolls, then gallops around but Ricochet doesn’t like that! Ricochet bails out but the fans fire up! Ricochet gets mad, runs up, but Zach avoids the leg sweep! Zach then WRECKS Ricochet with a one-leg dropkick! And then the PLANCHA!
The fans fire up and Zach high-fives the front row. Zach hops after Ricochet, headlocks, and shines up that bald head! The fans cheer, and Zach SMACKS Ricochet on the head! Zach high-fives his kids, but then Ricochet RAMS him into railing! The fans boo but Ricochet drags Zach up. Ricochet taunts Zach’s family before he ROCKS Zach. The fans boo more while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Ricochet throws down fists, then he taunts the fans. Ricochet drags Zach up, messes with Zach’s hair, then puts him in the ring. Ricochet soaks up the heat before he grabs Zach’s leg. Ricochet lets out a “WOO~” before he steps through, but he can’t put on a Figure Four if Zach’s only got one leg. Ricochet still tries, looks for Zach’s thigh, but Zach reels Ricochet in for a cradle! TWO, and Ricochet LARIATS Zach down! Ricochet rains down fists, the ref reprimands, but Ricochet stops to scrape his sole off Zach’s face. Ricochet drags Zach up, reels him in, and snap suplexes! Renee Paquette is with the Scumbag, and says he has been trying to prove himself week in and week out that he, too, can hurt people. What will he do if he does get that approval from The Hurt Syndicate here tonight? MJF says that is an incredibly intelligent question. First time for everything, right? MJF says that for 406 consecutive days, he was THE AEW World Champion. And that meant that for 406 consecutive days, no matter how much the fans hated his guts, they had no choice but to admit he was the greatest wrestler on God’s green earth. See, he wants that title back, but the landscape has changed ever since he got screwed out of the Triple B.
To be All Elite means more now than it ever has. This roster is stacked from top to bottom. And if there is one thing everyone knows about MJF is that he doesn’t like to work hard. If he has to wrestle, he doesn’t wanna do it unless he knows he’s gonna win. MJF does not like variables. So if he is part of the Hurt Syndicate, if he gets to be part of a four-headed dragon that is MJF, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and yes, even “Bob,” they will be unstoppable. And MJF becoming a two-time champion will no longer be a possibility, it will become an inevitability. Thank you for your time, Renee.
But has MJF has thought about what might happen if Hurt Syndicate says no? MJF thinks on that, but then MVP puts his arm around MJF. The Hurt Syndicate has arrived, and Montel tells Maxwell, “After our match tonight, it’s imperative that you join us in the ring.” Lashley says this is gonna be fun. And he’s even wearing a thumbs down T-shirt! Is it all but a given that MJF will not be joining the Syndicate? Or could they just be messing with MJF?

The teams sort out and Shelton rushes up, only for Darius to dodge and Dante to JUMP KNEE! Darius waistlocks but Shelton ELBOWS free, then he ROCKS Dante! Shelton fires forearms, whips Dante at Darius, but Darius gives Dante the boost up and over! Then Dante gives Darius the boost on the TORNADO DDT! Dante DROPKICKS Shelton, Darius DROPKICKS Lashley! Darius then sets up for Dante, POETRY IN FLIGHT! Lashley falls off the apron and the fans fire up. Dante then PLANCHAS, but Lashley catches him! Darius DIVES to topple them over! The fans fire up again and Top Flight high-five.
Darius hurries and BOOTS Shelton! Dante goes up while Darius hits a step-in FLATLINER! Dante adds his MAMBA SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Shelton survives and the fans rally. MVP coaches his guys but Dante hurries to tag Darius. Dante DIVES, but Lashley catches him and POSTS him! Shelton has Darius for a HIGH CROTCH PLEX! Shelton stalks Darius to a corner, drags him up, and whips him to the Syndicate corner. Tag to Lashley and he drags Darius out to THROW into barriers! Lashley hauls Darius up to THROW him around again! The fans fire up and Lashley SLAMS Darius on the apron!
MVP tells Lashley to stop playing with his food, so Lashley runs and RAMS into Darius at the corner! And then he turns Darius for a NECKBREAKER! Tag to Shelton, and he stays between Darius and his corner. GERMAN SUPLEX! Darius tumbles, Shelton stalks him, and he GERMAN SUPLEXES again! Darius sputters but Shelton paces. Shelton has Darius for another GERMAN SUPLEX! Cover, TWO! Darius survives all that damage, but Shelton looms over him. Darius fires body shots but no mustard on those. Shelton kicks Darius, reels him into a waistlock, but Darius fires elbows! The fans rally and Darius is free! PELE!
Darius crawls, hot tag to Dante! Dante aims, springboards, but Shelton STEP-UP KNEES him in the moment! Shelton goes out to fetch Dante into the ring. Leila is worried for her guys but Shelton runs and STEP-UP KNEES Dante again! Lashley tags in and SPEARS Dante! The fans fire up with Lashley, and he drags Dante up for the HURT LOCK!!Dante is a ragdoll, Darius runs in, but Shelton SUPERKCIKS Darius! Dante is OUT, Hurt Syndicate wins!

Top Flight just crashed ‘n’ burned, and Lashley is not done with Dante until Dante’s red int he face! But wait! The Sons of Texas storm out here! Dustin tells Lashley he won, just let him go already! Lashley drops Dante, and Dustin asks if Lashley thinks he’s a badass for something? Not to Dustin! Lashley just looks like a punk b*tch! Why not pick on someone his own size? MVP has a mic to say, “Look what we have here! The Natural, Dustin Rhodes!” MVP tells Dustin that they go back a long ways, there’s a lot of respect here for Dustin, as well as his father, Dusty, who MVP was very close to. As a result of that respect, “these two killers” aren’t going to leave Dustin & Sammy in a pool of blood.
MVP tells Dustin to get to the point of why he’s out here. What does he want? Dustin tells P that since they’re about business, here’s the deal. We can all see the ROH Tag titles around their waists. It is obvious what they want. But wait, CRU makes their way out here. Lio Rush & Action Andretti have mics, and Lio says, “Man… Well, look what we have over here.” Action says it looks like an old man and his little buddy are out here trying to be heroes. Check it, time to get to stepping, Gramps. And Sammy, you should follow Gramps before Cru sends you home with a rearranged face to his beautiful little daughter.
The fans tell CRU to STFU, but Lio just smiles. Lio says, “What’s up, Chicago? Listen, Gramps, Sammy, we don’t mean no disrespect, but we came out here because we got a little bit of old business in the ring over there. Listen, we been coming out here week after week, scouting the tag team competition, and y’all over there, we beat Top Flight. So, uh, hey, Bobby! What’s up, Bobby? How about you respect what we got in our past, and we get a little tag team title shot for CRU?” Dustin says one, Lio won’t cut in line. Two, they’ll learn some respect for their elders, “you stupid son of a b*tch!” The fans fire up for that!
MVP says alright, enough! Enough of this! As Dustin alluded to earlier, MVP is a businessman, but he has other business to attend to. Here is his resolution: Take this little bruhaha to Collision, fight it out, and the winners get a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships for Double or Nothing. And with that, the producers are saying we’ve got 30 seconds before commercial break. So please, viewers at home, join us as MJF will be in the ring after the break, “and he’s going to get what he deserves.” MVP’s message is ominous, but will this be the last time the Hurt Syndicate has to worry about the Wolf of Wrestling sniffing around them?

Shelton finds Tony Khan and Jerry Lynn at gorilla and asks where MJF went. TK gives MJF up! MJF is hiding behind them! MJF says he was looking all over for Shelton! Shelton says come with him. Right, yes, absolutely! MJF reluctantly goes to the stage and the fans cheer.
Shelton pats MJF on the shoulder and MVP tells MJF to get a move on, they’re wasting valuable time. MJF reluctantly goes to the ring while fans sing, “We Hurt~ People!” MVP says, “Let’s go, Maxwell.” Shelton ushers MJF into the ring, and MVP says, “Well, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, this is your moment of reckoning, and you asked for this, so I hope you’re ready.” MVP looks to the Syndicate and says they had their discussion. They know what’s coming MJF’s way, so once again… MVP gives his thumbs up. The fans cheer, and Shelton gives… thumbs up! MJF is glad to see that, but what about Lashley?
Lashley paces, goes right to MJF’s side and brings him in close. The fans are torn, and Lashley holds up his hand. The final vote is thumbs… The fans rally and it looks like Shelton is gearing up for a superkick! MJF asks “Bob” to be merciful, and Lashley finally gives… A THUMBS UP!! MJF sings along with “We Hurt People!” MJF and Lashley shake hands and MVP says next week, AEW Dynamite, the official contract signing for MJF joining the Hurt Syndicate!

Will one of these three prove themselves worthy of sharing Toni’s spotlight? Or will Toni chew up these slop tarts and spit them right back out?
The bell rings and Mina goes right after AZM, wanting payback for the loss at Resurgence! That leaves Storm and Skye to brawl, and Toni TOSSES Skye to the outside. Then Mina keeps that FIGURE FOUR on Storm! Storm scrambles to the ROPEBREAK! Mina lets go and Storm bails out. AZM runs in and kicks Mina. AZM bumps Mina off buckles, whips, but Mina reverses to SOBAT! Mina knuckle locks AZM and goes up the corner!
Mina goes up, up, and SUPER CROSSBODIES Storm! The fans fire up as Mina hurries back to the ring. AZM is there to PENALTY KICK her from the apron! CROSSBODY for Storm again! Skye drags Storm up and SMACKS her off the apron, then sends Mina into railing! Skye drags AZM up, sends her into railing on the other side, then goes back for Storm. Storm kicks Skye and sends her into railing! Storm talks trash but Mina CLUBS Storm! Mina sends Storm into railing now! AZM kicks Mina, and AZM sends Mina into railing! Renee congratulates them on MJF officially being accepted into the Hurt Syndicate. How is he feeling right now? MJF says he is feeling great! He hurts people! He won the lottery! Now just to get his lawyer, Mark Sterling, to go over the contract, and everything is fine. Wait, MJF’s lawyer? Yeah, just one second. MJF calls “Smart Mark” over, and Mark says hi, he’s glad to finally meet MVP. MVP refuses the handshake and MJF tells Mark to just take a quick walk. Mark leaves and MJF asks MVP what’s wrong. MVP asks why MJF needs his lawyer on this. MJF says this is just business. Would MVP ever sign a contract without having a lawyer look it over?
MVP says no, he wouldn’t. He understands it’s just business. They shake hands and MJF says let’s go! They head out together, will Sterling help them iron out all the details?
Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuiness are in the ring.
Schiavone welcomes us and introduces his commentary partner for Collision. Schiavone brings up last week, the special Thursday Night Collision, how things got out of hand near the end of the program. Nigel got involved, and he still has something on his mind, so the floor is his. Nigel says he’ll make this nice and quick. First, he apologizes to Schiavone, because he ended up doing exactly what he told Schiavone not to do, and that was get in the ring as an announcer. The other person Nigel needs to apologize to is Daniel Garcia. Chicago cheers as Garcia makes his entrance and joins the others in the ring.
Nigel tells Garcia that we all saw what happened last week. Nigel let his ego get the better of him as he let Dax Harwood goad him into interrupting that match, which cost Garcia the win. From the bottom of his heart, Nigel apologizes. He realized his place is beside Schiavone at the desk, not in this ring. Garcia tells Nigel that he can keep the apology to himself. Oh? Garcia says he did what Nigel was supposed to do. FTR disrespected him, and Nigel stood up for himself. The fans cheer that! Garcia says FTR tried to end Garcia’s career, tried to end Adam Copeland’s career, and if given the opportunity, they’d try to end Nigel’s career, too.
Garcia says the thing is, he will fight FTR regardless, with or without help. So Nigel could turn his back on Garcia, act like he’s no longer a wrestler, go back to the desk, but Garcia is going to fight with or without Nigel. But it’d be an absolute honor for Nigel to fight FTR with Garcia! But then Stokely Hathaway walks out here, and says, “I cannot believe what I am seeing: Two burnouts glazing each other over which is the bigger disappointment.” The fans boo but #BigStoke says FTR is NOT here tonight. But as their agent, he is here to speak on their behalf. Nigel, what you did last week was reprehensible and egregious!
Nigel almost broke Dax’s jaw, and he just about separated Cash’s shoulder. So Nigel, Stoke must ask, “What the hell is your problem?!” Nigel says, “What’s my problem? I guess my problem, Strokely, is when someone puts their hands on me, I put my hands back on them. So I guess for that, I’m so, so sorry.” Stokely mocks Nigel with an, “I’m sorry, mate! Aw… Guess what, Nigel? That apology does nothing for us. You put your hands on FTR. And you should know that when you do something bad, Nigel, there are repercussions and consequences. Dax, Cash and I, we had a little pow wow. And we decided what your punishment should be.
“Your punishment should be getting in the ring with the greatest tag team alive today, F T R! In an official match! Because in that match, they can’t be suspended, they can’t be fined, they can’t be held accountable for what they do to you and what they do to Danny Boy over here.” Garcia smirks but Nigel says, “Well, I guess that’s exactly why I don’t wanna wrestle them. I mean, let’s be honest. They’re ten-time world tag team champions. And look, no disrespect to you, Danny, but we barely had a conversation. If I’m honest, they’d kill us.” Garcia takes the mic to say Nigel is right. FTR might kill them, they might.
But Garcia has seen Nigel overcome the odds his entire career. Garcia has been overcoming the odds his entire career! And so how about they give the people something they never thought they’d see: Nigel McGuinness teaming with Daniel Garcia against FTR!! The fans cheer and Stokely says y’know what? Nigel doesn’t have to wrestle. He can just do what he’s doing: sitting behind the desk as the Al Bundy of AEW every single week, trying to relive his glory. Let’s be real, Nigel can’t beat FTR. Moxley keeps hold for an ARMBAR! Joe clasps hands to fight that off! Joe fights around, Moxley stomps away, then turns Joe over for a BULLDOG CHOKE!! Joe endures and Moxley has a full crimson mask as he pulls on the hold! Joe is fading so the ref checks on him. The hand drops once! The hand drops twice! The hand- NO, Joe revives! Moxley has finally accepted the Bucks as they help him beat up on their common enemies, and have even brought in a War Dog as a wild card. But “Whose House?” “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” The Realest is here, and now The Bucks have trapped themselves in a cage just for him! Swerve storms up to the cage, and he climbs right up! The fans are thunderous as Swerve aims, SUPER KILL STOMPS on the Death Riders and Elite!!
The fans are thunderous for “SWERVE’S HOUSE!” as Matt hurries to press the up button! The cage lifts, the Elite and Death Riders scurry away like the rats they are, and now Swerve stands tall with The Opps. Swerve says last time he was in this ring, in this city, in this cage, he got his brains beat in by a steel chair and then dropped on a damn cinder block! You think his sadistic, psycho mind would never wanna do this again, but here he is! The fans cheer that! And Swerve tells the retreating Elite, “You think I fear anything? I realized something: I AM THE FEAR! I am the Most Dangerous Man here in AEW!
“And with you gentlemen and lady, and these gentlemen here, and this lady standing here, I think we wanna cause a little bit of anarchy.” The fans like where this is going! Swerve says Double or Nothing, Phoenix, Arizona, it will be ANARCHY IN THE ARENA!!! The fans are thunderous as now, Swerve will stand with Omega, Hobbs, Samoa Joe and Willow Nightingale against whatever combination the Elite and Death Riders wanna throw at them! Who will win and who will survive when AEW goes Double or Nothing?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite for Beach Break, both setting up things for Collision as well as Double or Nothing. Great tag team opener from Ospreay and Hangman with Konosuke and Alexander. I do like that the Faces came very close to the cliche miscommunication collision, but then they still made it work to win. At least until the Callis Family tried to beat them up after and then came the misunderstanding. The heat in that match got turned up a bit, that’ll be an awesome Men’s Owen Hart Cup finals, can’t wait to see who wins.
Great match from Ricochet VS Zach, namely in how Zach showed he can still go even with one leg. But I figured Ricochet would win and then go overboard to beat up on Zach. Good save from Mark Briscoe, and maybe Briscoe VS Ricochet will be on Double or Nothing, but it feels more like a match for TV. Honestly, what happened to building anything towards a TNT Championship match for Adam Cole? Sammy Guevara won that big money Fatal 4 Way but then proceeded to call out Cole, only for Sammy and Dustin to now pivot into a thing for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Good promo from Top Flight to get heated, and good part for Dustin & Sammy to play encouraging Darius & Dante. Great match from Top Flight VS Hurt Syndicate, but I figured the Hurt Syndicate would win. I appreciate the blatant swerve they were pulling on MJF. MJF thought he was gonna get beat up but then Lashley gives him the thumbs up, and now MJF is officially AEW’s Sami Zayn in The Bloodline or Owen Hart in the Nation of Domination. And I also appreciate this got Mark Sterling back on TV. There will surely be continued tension until MJF can actually get himself a title shot.
As for the Sons of Texas, good promo to set up a contenders match, but they’re of course going to beat CRU. Lio & Action continue to be chihuahuas barking at bigger dogs. At the same time, Dustin & Sammy winning to face Lashley & Shelton, they could put both AEW & ROH tag titles on the line. The problem there is, if Lashley & Shelton win, that tanks the ROH Tag Division because Lashley & Shelton aren’t ever showing up on Honor Club. A silver lining might be that Sammy and Dustin break up so Sammy can actually follow through on that TNT Championship feud tease. Well, that’d probably mean Sammy finally turns on Dustin but it feels too late to matter.
Great promo from Nigel and Garcia with Stokely, and of course FTR were secretly in the building. Menard makes a great save, and now we’ll get a great tag match of FTR VS Nigel & Garcia. This could still give us Cope’s return, but I bet Nigel gets to look great even in a losing effort. Awesome Fatal 4 Way match, and that was a great way for Mina to win in her return to AEW. Toni VS Mina for Double or Nothing will be great, but I feel Toni will retain. Mone going after AZM was fitting, and it also gave Hayter a reason to go after Mone. Mone VS Hayter could still be up in the air, so next week’s go-home episodes will really be telling.
And of course, a great main event with the steel cage, but I just knew Moxley would win thanks to interference. But is it just me or are ropebreaks in cage matches dumb? If this is a No Escape style cage match, then ropebreaks don’t mean anything cuz there’s no “out of bounds.” Joe really should’ve kept that crossface until Moxley passed out. And even then, it makes no sense why Gabe Kidd would help Moxley. I thought Gabe hated Mox and hated the Bucks. I guess there can be some nonsense about how after Resurgence, The Bucks talked things over with the War Dogs and got Gabe to agree to this, but it seems like they just needed someone to substitute for Pac right now.
And it sounds like they’re giving us the first ever mixed Anarchy in the Arena. It works just fine, because for one, it is obviously No DQ. Secondly, Willow and Marina can easily brawl off somewhere on their own, just as we’ve seen all these Anarchy in the Arena matches go. Also, Speedball going after Okada, that’s gotta be a Continental Championship match. Okada probably still finds a way to win, but Speedball can really push Okada to his limits.
