The Don Callis Family is going to be a big part of this year’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, but they’ve still got some business to handle. But will The Alpha & The Aussie Arrow shoot down The Powerhouse & Stone Pitbull? Or will Hobbs & Ishii conglomerate and handle town bidness?
The teams sort out and Ishii starts, and he calls out Konosuke! The fans like that, and Konosuke says fine. They step up as the bell rings, and Ishii shoves Konosuke. Konosuke shoves back! The fans fire up as the two run and RAM into each other! And then RAM again! And RAM again! Konosuke and Ishii fire forearms back and forth and the fans fire up more! Neither man is backing down, then Konosuke fires a flurry! Ishii roars and ROCKS Konosuke! The fans fire up, but Konosuke snarls. Ishii RAMS Konosuke! Konosuke rebounds to RAM Ishii! They RAM again and again, and Konosuke wobbles! Ishii runs, but into a BOOT!
Konosuke whips, Ishii reverses, and Konosuke RAMS him! Ishii rebounds to CLOBBER Konosuke! Konosuke is up to CLOBBER Ishii! They RAM again, then roar! They RAM shoulders one more time, and finally fall over! The fans fire up, both men crawl, hot tags to Hobbs and Kyle! Fletcher is a bit worried, but then he frowns as fans chant “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Kyle steps in, circles with Hobbs, and the two tie up. The fans rally as the two push each other, and Hobbs powers Kyle back. Kyle turns things around to put Hobbs in a corner, then he rolls back just to flex. “Meat, baby! Meat!” The fans boo, that’s not enough meat.
Hobbs grins as Kyle says he is that real meat! Hobbs and Kyle circle, tie up, and Hobbs puts Kyle in the corner! Kyle shouts for the ref, the ref counts, and Hobbs backs off. Hobbs flexes and fans cheer that meat! Hobbs and Kyle reset, circle, and then Kyle BOOTS Hobbs! Kyle fires off kicks and stomps in the corner! The fans boo, the ref counts, and Kyle stops at 4. Kyle soaks up the heat, then he drags Hobbs up. Kyle reels Hobbs in, but Hobbs powers out of the DDT! Hobbs drags Kyle up to TOSS him into the corner! Hobbs fires fast hands and the fans fire up! Kyle guards, Hobbs waits, and then Kyle lets his guard down. Hobbs ROCKS him!
Hobbs tags Ishii and they double whip Kyle. Ishii ROCKS Kyle, Hobbs POUNCES Kyle! The fans cheer and Ishii stalks Kyle. Kyle sputters, Ishii stands him up, but Kyle scoops to SLAM! The fans rally, Kyle runs, but then Kyle fakes that Rocky trips him! The ref was busy with Konosuke so he isn’t sure what happened, but then Kyle DECKS Ishii! Hobbs ROCKS Kyle! Konosuke BOOTS Hobbs! Kyle & Konosuke whip Ishii to DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE! They both flex, the fans boo, but Collision goes picture in picture.
Kyle rains down fists on Ishii, then rains down forearms! Kyle lets off to huff ‘n’ puff and storm around. Kyle tags Konosuke, Konosuke drags Ishii up, and Konosuke whips Ishii out of the ring. Konosuke storms out after Ishii, and SMACKS him off the commentary desk! Konosuke ROCKS Ishii, CHOPS him, then puts him in the ring. Konosuke stands Ishii up to CHOP, and CHOP, and then ROCK Ishii! Ishii shakes his head and eggs Konosuke on! Konosuke fires forearm after forearm, then a BOOT! Ishii CHOPS Konosuke, but Konosuke DECKS Ishii! Konosuke drags Ishii up, snapmares and clamps on a chinlock.
Ishii endures while Konosuke grinds him down. Hobbs and the fans rally up, and Ishii fights to his feet. Ishii fires body shots but Konosuke fires knees! Konosuke suplexes, but Ishii fights free! Ishii wrenches, ducks a lariat, but Konosuke fights the back suplex! Konosuke rains down elbows, then fires boxing elbows! Ishii wobbles, Konosuke winds up, ROLLING0 NO, Ishii ducks to SAIDO! Both men are down and Collision returns to single picture, but Kyle BLASTS Hobbs! Kyle says “SUCK IT!” while the fans boo. Kyle & Konosuke whip Ishii to a corner, then Konosuke runs up. Ishii dodges to then ROCK Kyle!
Konosuke runs back in but Ishii sends him into Kyle! Kyle flops out of the ring, Ishii fires forearms on Konosuke! Konosuke fires back, whips, but Ishii reverses. Konosuke swings, but Ishii ducks the lariat! ALPHA ELBOW! Konosuke roars, but Ishii suplexes first! The fans rally while both men are down, and Ishii crawls for his corner. Hot tag to Hobbs! The fans fire up as Callis calls Hobbs a vulture. Hobbs rallies on Kyle & Konosuke, LARIAT after LARIAT! The fans fire up but Kyle & Konosuke mug Hobbs. They whip, Hobbs breaks the double lariat to DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE! The fans fire up with “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!”
Hobbs nods, and he runs in at the corner! SPLASH for Konosuke! SPLASH for Kyle! And repeat! And repeat! The fans fire up as the straps come down! Hobbs catches Kyle for an URENAGE! POWER DRIVE- NO, Hobbs blocks the knee to fire forearms! Hobbs whips, then pops Konosuke up, but Konosuke ELBOWS him! Hobbs takes a swing, but Konosuke slips around to waistlock! Konosuke powers up to GERMAN SUPLEX! The fans fire up, Konosuke takes aim, POWER DRIVE- SPINEBUSTER!! Hobbs can’t make the cover, he’s running on empty! Hobbs crawls to his corner, but so does Konosuke, hot tags to Ishii and Kyle!
Kyle runs up, Ishii dodges the boot! Ishii ROCKS Kyle again and again, then ducks a lariat! Ishii waistlocks, Kyle switches, but Ishii fights the Half ‘n’ Half! Ishii elbows free, runs, but Kyle CALF KICKS at the ropes! Kyle brings Ishii in, scoops and- NO, Ishii slips free! GERMAN SUPLEX! Kyle is dazed while Ishii rises! Ishii runs, but Kyle ducks the lariat to SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Ishii flounders away, Konosuke joins Kyle. Hobbs runs up, but Kyle & Konosuke dodge to SUPERKICK ALPHA ELBOW COMBO! But Ishii SUPER STEINERS free?! The fans are thunderous and Hobbs returns! Konosuke ROCKS Hobbs, swings on Ishii, but Ishii catches him to a suplex! Ishii uses that to hand Konosuke off to Hobbs! POWERSLAM! Ishii ROCKS Kyle, whips him, and Hobbs SNAP POWERSLAMS! Ishii runs to SLIDING LARIAT! The fans fire up and Ishii stands Kyle up. Ishii suplexes. Kyle fights that to wrench out, but Ishii HEADBUTTS and LARIATS!! Cover, TWO!! The fans rally as Ishii rises. Ishii drags Kyle up, suplexes, but Kyle fights that! Ishii fights Kyle’s suplex, Konosuke joins in, and they DOUBLE BRAINBUSTER!! Cover, HOBBS BREAKS IT!

Action Andretti calls out Dante & Darius Martin, and says, “Are y’all really sure you wanna do this tonight? Y’all been ducking us for months! Months! And now we’re here.” Lio Rush says, “We put y’all in the spotlight. You understand that? After beating y’all’s ass week after week after week, and tonight, it ain’t gonna be no different.” But then they spot Nick Wayne. The Cru steps to him and asks what’s up. Nick says sup, and Action tells Nick that they’ve got Top Flight tonight. Wherever Top Flight goes, AR Fox seems to follow. Remember that conversation had last week? Has he been thinking about it?
Nick says yeah, he has. So what’s he say? Nick is thinking of all the factors, all the outcomes if he helps The Cru. But in all honesty, he’s just too valuable to help them. Best of luck to them, but Nick says no. Oh, wow, Nick said no? Guess he needs daddy’s permission to do stuff, huh? What was that? Lio says Daddy Cage has Nick in a cage, and needs to give his permission for Nick to come out and play. Nick needs no one’s permission. He does what he wants, when he wants, and how he wants. So just know, if he sees Fox, it’s not for them. It’s for him. The Prodigy heads out, but will he still help The Cru one way or another?
Best Wrestler Alive Open Challenge: Max Caster VS ???
So for the seventh time now, Platinum Max is in the ring with the documentation and mic in hand. “Peoria, you are looking live at the Best Wrestler Alive!” The fans boo, but Caster says he is lucky to be alive because he had to drive here, by himself, through a tornado, through gale force winds, all just to wrestle for you here today. Unlike someone he used to team with, not that he’ll say names. But there is only one thing that the people in “P-Town” want! The Maximaniacs wanna chant his name! It’s easy to do, so follow along! “Let’s Go, Max! You’re The Best Wrestler Alive!” No, the fans prefer “Max, You Suck!”
Caster says he should’ve known that Peoria couldn’t remember eight words, they are just so stupid. But that’s why the Best Wrestler Alive is going to a real city. Sunday in Philadelphia, the Open Challenge is on in the City of Brotherly Love! And based on the lack of rhythm here, there ain’t no brothers here in Peoria. The fans boo, but Caster says time to get to business. Who can survive the Best Wrestler Alive? Caster waits, but “Reach for the sky, boy!” It’s Mark Briscoe! Caster is freaking out, because now he’s got the Sussex County Chicken to deal with! Will Caster fail to #ManUp against the former ROH World Champion?
The bell rings and Caster swings! Mark dodges to CHOP! Mark fires forearm after forearm, then fires up! The fans are with him, and Mark runs, but he ducks a boot! Redneck Crane Stance! Caster still swings, but Mark blocks and REDNECK UPPERCUTS! Caster falls, the fans fire up, and Mark stalks Caster to ropes. Mark whips, Caster reverses, but Mark CLOBBERS him! Callis complains that Redneck Kung-Fu can’t be legal. Mark runs in at Caster, but Caster BOOTS him! Caster goes up, but another UPPERCUT sends Caster down! Mark then runs to CANNONBALL TOPE! Down goes Caster and Mark high-fives the front-row!
Mark stalks Caster back into the ring, and says time to take his head off! The fans cheer that and Mark runs, but Caster follows Mark! But Mark catches Caster and reels him in to underhook! JAY DRILLER! Cover, Mark wins!

Platinum Max is now 0-7 for his own challenge, and now Mark has momentum going into his battle with Kyle Fletcher. Will it be #DemBoys that move on towards the Cup? Will Caster reconsider putting that Open Challenge out in Philly?
Backstage interview with Jay White.
Lexy Nair is with The Switchblade, his left hand wrapped up heavily, as she brings up the horrible circumstances that now rule him out for the Owen Hart Cup. Replacing him is Kevin Knight, and White says he perhaps spoke too soon that it wouldn’t be Knight’s year in The Owen. Congratulations to Knight on this opportunity, White is very happy for him. Just remember, Knight, you’re only there because White can’t. And as for Will Ospreay, he gets to avoid Jay White once more. Ospreay can keep peddling the lie that he is on some unobtainable level, prancing around as the unchecked “GOAT” in White’s ring.
Ospreay’s words will catch up to him, just not today. He can flap those gums a little bit longer, all thanks to The Death Riders. Because White cannot compete, let alone win, the 2025 Owen Hart Cup thanks to The Death Riders. Even though the gold should already be on White’s shoulder, it is not! All thanks to The Death Riders. Moxley and his gang wanna make this personal, to put it lightly. But that is fine! They didn’t take White out, they just gave him a gift. They gave him time to plan and prepare! And when they see him again, Moxley & The Death Riders will regret ever thinking about The Switchblade.
Because White quite often enjoys reminding people who he is, but it is time he reminds himself. White IS The Switchblade, a cut above, and nobody’s got what he’s got. White heads out, but when and where will we see him return for revenge?

What was a high-flying fleet of four was eventually split in half because of ego and ambition. Darius & Dante want payback for the ambush attacks, but Action & Lio just want to leave them in the rearview mirror. Will AEW soon be under Cru’s control? Or will Top Flight reach new heights?
Leila struts out on stage, but where are Darius & Dante? They CLOBBER The Cru from behind! Payback for the blindside attacks, and the fans fire up as the brawl is on! Dante CLUBS Action, Darius UPPERCUTS Lio, and repeat! Darius CHOPS Lio, Dante CHOPS Action, and then Darius SMACKS Lio off the apron! Leila nods as her boys have control. Darius sends Lio into the steps, Dante CHOKES Action, and then things go into the ring. The bell rings, Top Flight storms up, but The Cru run! Top Flight duck, and now they’ve surrounded The Cru! Top Flight throw hands, Darius keeping on Lio and Dante with Action.
They’re in the corners, and Top Flight rain down fists! The fans count along, and we go all the way to TEN! Darius TOSSES Lio, Dante CHOPS Action, and Dante brings Action around to bump off buckles. Tag to Darius, Dante spins Action, STO LARIAT COMBO! Darius rains down fists, then he wrenches Action to a wristlock. The fans rally for Top Flight but Action breaks free and throat chops! Tag to Lio, but Darius DROPKICKS him down! Darius CHOPS Lio, UPPERCUTS, then whips. Lio reverses, leaps, but into an atomic drop! Darius runs and BULLDOG HOTSHOTS Lio! But Action mule kicks Darius! Then ARABIAN PRESS!
The fans are torn while Darius is down, but Dante DAREDEVIL DROPKICKS Action! But Lio DIVES onto Dante! All four men are down on the outside and the fans rally up. “This is Awesome!” even as The Cru puts Darius in the ring, and Collision goes picture in picture.
The Cru stalks Darius, then CHOP! And ROCK! And CLUB him down, to then CLOBBER him! Lio soaks up the heat, then he CLOBBERS Darius! Lio rains down fists, BITES Darius’ forehead, but stops as the ref counts. Lio talks trash on Peoria, then on Dante, before he CHOPS Darius! Lio puts Darius in the corner, CHOKES him, but Action tags in. The Cru mugs Darius more, then Lio tags back in. Lio stomps a mudhole in, tags Action, and Action drags Darius up. Darius fires body shots, UPPERCUTS, but Action CLUBS him down! Action scoops and SLAMS Darius! Cover, TWO! Action is annoyed, but he stays between Darius and Dante.
Lio jaws at Dante, Action puts Darius on the ropes, and Action CHOKES Darius again, but Collision goes to break.
Collision returns and Action has Darius in a chinlock. Darius endures and the fans rally up. Darius fights to his feet, fires body shots, then ROCKS Action! Action shoves Darius, runs up, but into BOOTS! Action comes back, DOUBLE LARIATS take both men down! The fans rally for Top Flight as Action and Darius crawl. Leila coaches Darius, hot tags to Lio and Dante! Dante CLOBBERS Lio, CLOBBERS him again, then ducks a shot to JUMP KNEE! Half nelson, but Lio fights free to shove, only for Dante to springboard SHOTGUN! Cover, TWO! Lio stays in this but Dante fires up. The fans fire up with him as he drags Lio up.
Dante has a cravat, but Lio CLAWS Dante’s eyes! The ref reprimands but Lio tags Action. Lio rolls to get a leg, and Action hits a NECKBREAKER! Dante is down, but here comes Darius! Lio spins him for Action to mule kick, knee lift and ROLLING ELBOW! Lio fires fast hands and DECKS Darius! Darius flops onto ropes, Action drags Dante up, and Action whips. Dante reverses to send Action to a corner. Lio ROCKS Dante, whips him in, but Dante reverses! Action goes up and out, Lio slips under, and he UP KICKS Dante into an ENZIGIRI! Action is frustrated and argues with the ref, as does Lio, but the ref defends his count. The Cru snarl and drag Dante up. Darius saves Dante from the double suplex! The Cru and Top Flight trade haymakers back and forth! The fans rally up as things speed up! Action & Lio kick low, then fire more shots! Lio whips Darius, Action whips Dante, but Top Flight grabs the ropes to stop. The Cru runs up, but Dante jumps over and Darius BOOTS Action! Dante DIVES onto Lio! Darius mule kicks Action! Backstage interview with Jamie Hayter and Billie Starkz.
Lexy Nair is with two of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup contenders, and says it is official that they face off in the first round. They all know that the winner of the Cup will face THE AEW Women’s World Champion for the title at All In: Texas. Jamie was impressed with Billie here, and she must say, fair play. Billie does hold her own. Jamie liked Billie before, but she really likes her now. That said, some friendly advice: Watch out for Athena. What was she doing coming out after their match, eh? Trying to steal the moment? Why’s she up in Billie’s business like that? Jamie would keep an eye on her if she were Billie.
But to be honest, if Billie thinks that for one second, Jamie will question herself going into the tournament when she’s already beat Billie, then Billie’s in fairytale land. Although, Jamie is up to Billie changing her mind. Billie snatches the mic from Lexy to tell Jamie that she’s not a failure, and has been trying to prove that to everyone here! And Jamie will see that in the Owen Hart Cup. Billie storms off, and Jamie says yes, she will. It is going to be quite the rematch to help open the 2025 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, but will Billie be reminded that Hayter Hits Hard?

She thanks Daniel Garcia, Matt Menard, Adam Cole, Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly for taking this time to talk ahead of the TNT Championship match. There will be no time limit and no one else allowed at ringside. Garcia is finally defending the title on PPV as a fighting champion against someone with a veteran status like Adam Cole. Is Garcia feeling the pressure? Cole apologizes for interrupting and taking Garcia’s turn, but he would like to say something. Earlier today, Cole was thinking about the very first time he and Garcia faced off. It was about two years ago, Cole coming off the worst injury of his career while Garcia was still young, brash, and maybe confused.
After all, Garcia had aligned himself with Chris Jericho, was trying to figure out who he was. Fast forward to today, and Garcia is THE TNT Champion and a damn good one. But recently, Cole has been thinking that Garcia hasn’t really changed much. Garcia is still confused, because he thinks that he’ll beat Cole for this title at Dynasty. Cole has beaten Garcia before, Garcia has never beaten Cole. The last time they faced each other, if Cole had just five seconds more, five seconds, Cole would be champion now. Plus, this Sunday will mark Adam Cole’s 17th wrestling anniversary, and it is in Philadelphia, where Cole had his very first match.
Cole says it has been a long time coming to win singles gold here in AEW. And he promises us that it his destiny at Dynasty to win this championship. Garcia says Menard was right. Garcia didn’t have to give Cole another shot at this. But Garcia wanted to out of respect for everything Cole has done in these 17 years. Cole has done a lot, and has had many chances to show he is “the guy” around here. But just like how Garcia has given Cole chances at this title, Cole hasn’t done that, either. Garcia wants that to settle in: This is Cole’s last chance with Garcia. No more shot at this or that, it is done. There have been 17 years of opportunities for Cole, those were Cole’s 17 years.
But the next 17 years will belong to Garcia. Cole asks Roddy & Kyle to step out, and then asks Renee for that, as well. Garcia also has Menard exit, so now it is just Garcia and Cole. Cole wants Garcia to listen. Cole knows Garcia knows this, but Cole has a ton of respect for Garcia. Cole said it before, will say it again. But sometimes, he has to tell Garcia the truth. And the truth is, Garcia is not ready to lead the charge. Garcia is not ready to run a promotion, he is not ready to be THE champion. But Cole has ran practically every promotion he’s ever worked for. He has been world champion, he has broken records in more places than he can count.
Cole has been “The guy” longer than Garcia’s been wrestling! So if anyone knows what it takes to be a true champion, it is Cole. Garcia is not ready. Not yet. And if he doesn’t understand that, Cole will whoop that ass and show him on Sunday. Garcia gets up in a huff but Cole stands up, too. Garcia knocks on the table, then takes the title and leaves. Will Garcia make Cole eat those words? Or will the TNT Championship soon be Undisputed?
Cash Wheeler VS PAC!
Dax Harwood got caught off guard by Wheeler Yuta, but then Adam Copeland took Claudio Castagnoli to the limit, making Rated FTR and Death Riders 1-1 in this singles match series. This tiebreaker is all about momentum going into the AEW World Trios Championship match, which side will have the upper hand at Dynasty?
The bell rings and the two circle. They tie up, go around, and Cash puts Pac on ropes. The ref counts, Cash lets off slowly, but Pac shoves him down! The fans boo but Pac mockingly claps. Pac offers a hand but Cash storms up on him instead. They tie up, end up in a corner, and Pac has Cash cornered. The ref counts, but Pac headlocks. Pac hits the takeover, Cash moves around, but Pac pushes him to a cover. ONE, and the two stand up. Cash powers up and out, Pac runs him over, but Cash is back up! Pac hits a headlock takeover again and he grinds Cash down. Cash endures, fights up, and he powers out again.
Pac runs Cash over again, then keeps moving. He runs Cash over again, then runs, handsprings over the dropdown and he hip tosses! Then he hits another headlock takeover! The Bastard taunts Cash that he’s got the technical edge, but Cash fights up and wrenches free. Pac knees low, bumps Cash off buckles, and then bumps him off more buckles. Pac bumps Cash off more buckles, then he soaks up heat from Peoria. Pac stomps Cash’s leg, kicks him more, but the ref counts. Pac pie faces Cash, eggs him on, then whips corner to corner. Cash reverses, then catches Pac to a backslide! TWO, and Cash reels Pac in for a headlock.
Pac powers up and out, but Cash runs him over! And runs him over again! Things speed up. Pac hurdles but Cash turns hip toss into hip toss! Then he dodges a lariat to DROPKICK! The fans fire up while Pac tumbles out! Pac is frustrated, but Cash mockingly offers a hand. Pac seethes and the ref has Cash back up. Cash climbs, the fans fire up, but Pac anchors Cash’s legs. Cash CLUBS Pac, but Pac ROCKS Cash! Pac climbs up, then brings Cash to the top rope! But Cash fires body shots! Cash ROCKS Pac, hops down, and he LARIATS Pac off the corner! The fans fire up and Cash climbs up again, but Pac hurries to trip Cash up! Cash falls to the apron in a heap! Cash hobbles back up, and Pac runs to BLAST Cash off the apron! Cash hits railing on the way down, and he writhes on the floor. Pac goes to the apron as Cash stands, and mule kicks him! Then ASAI MOONSAULTS! Down goes Cash and Pac is fired up while Collision goes picture in picture.
Pac paces around to soak up more heat, then he hauls Cash up for a BACK SUPLEX on the floor! Cash writhes more, Pac mockingly blows a kiss, and he leaves Cash behind. Pac stomps Cash some more, circles him as he goes, and then kneels for a cover. ONE, but Pac clamps on with a headlock. Pac grinds Cash down but Cash endures. Cash fights up, fires body shots, but Pac hits a BACK- NO, Cash makes it a CROSSBODY! Cover, TWO! Pac CLOBBERS Cash! Pac snarls while Cash checks his jaw.
Cash sits up, goes for ropes, but Pac stalks him. Pac CHOKES Cash on the ropes, soaks up the heat, but he stops as the ref counts 4. Pac paces while Cash sputters, and Pac talks some trash on Cash. Pac stomps Cash down, clamps on a chinlock, and he even digs his knee into Cash’s back. Cash endures, pries at the hold, fights up, and he fires body shots! Collision returns to single picture as Pac kicks low and snap suplexes! Cash goes to a corner, Pac grins and runs in, and UPPERCUTS! Cash flops down, Pac pushes him to a cover, TWO! Cash is still in this but Pac stays on him with a chinlock. Cash endures again while the fans rally up.
Cash fights up, JAWBREAKERS free, and the fans rally more as Cash ROCKS and CHOPS! Pac SOBATS! Pac reels Cash in to snap suplex again! Cash flounders to a corner, but Pac runs up, only for Cash to TOSS Pac up and out! Cash gets moving, and he DIVES! Direct hit at the ramp! The fans fire up as Cash roars and rises to his feet! Cash huffs ‘n’ puffs, then he drags Pac up and into the ring. Cash goes up, up, and CROSSBODIES! Cover, TWO! Pac survives but Cash JABS! JABS! JABS! Pac swings, but into a wrench and UPPERCUT! Cash runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, then LARIATS! The fans fire up with Cash again!
Pac goes to a corner, but Cash CHOPS him! And ROCKS him! And CHOPS again! Cash fires forearm after forearm, then whips corner to corner. Pac reverses, Cash goes up and over, and Cash keeps moving. Pac drops down, jumps up, but into a POWERSLAM from Cash! Cover, TWO! Pac survives but Cash stays focused. Cash drags Pac into the drop zone, climbs up the corner, and CAHS SPLASH FLOPS as Pac moves! Both men are down now and the fans rally up! Pac crawls to ropes, drags himself up the corner, and he goes to the very top! Pac aims, but Cash hurries up after Pac now! SUPER HALF HATCH! Cover, TWO!
Pac survives and Cash grows frustrated, but he fireman’s carries. Pac slips free to SOBAT! And front KICK! And then SOBAT again! Pac runs, and he BOOTS Cash in the back, to then SNAP SUPLEX! Pac stands Cash up, but Cash LARIATS! Both men are down again, but Cash huffs ‘n’ puffs and rises back up. The fans rally for Cash as he goes to a corner. Cash runs corner to corner, but Pac SUPERKICKS him down! Pac then hurries up top! BLACK ARROW but Cash moves! Cash reels Pac in, PILEDRIVER! Cover, TWO?!? Pac survives and neither Cash nor Peoria can believe it! But wait, here come Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli!
The fans boo, but wait! Cope is here! Cope brawls with Claudio, but Yuta slips in while the ref is busy with them! BUT DAX IS HERE! Yuta CLOBBERS Dax with the bell hammer! Cash hits Yuta with a PILEDRIVER! But Pac ghost pins Cash! PAC WINS!!

The Death Riders regroup and grin at Rated FTR as they steal this one away! They wave bye and say see you in Philly. Cope & Cash look to Dax, who took that proverbial bullet for Cash. Cope & Cash offer their hands to Dax, and Dax accepts. The fans cheer as these three stand tall together, but will they be able to grab the gold on Sunday?

Shane Taylor himself says, “Hey, yo, check this out, Bravo.” Carlie Bravo asks what’s up. Shane says he is sick of letting people walk around here feeling safe. He is sick of letting people walk around here feeling comfortable. He is sick of hearing people talking about battlefields and warfare, and talking like they all gangster, when we know they ain’t built like that! Bravo says yeah, it is crazy. People here talk about battlefields, wars, “better not catch you lacking,” like they somebody’s big homies. Like, they ain’t your homies. They don’t even respect big homies. It’s why STP got the problems they got!
People be like, “STP, chill!” Chill for what? Who is these dudes? They ain’t Opps, they just opportunities! Shawn Dean says there’s nothing but space and opportunity. Dralistico tries but the fans boo him. Bailey steps up and the fans cheer. Dralistico tries, he gets boos. Bailey tries and he gets cheers. Dralistico says forget it, and he goes to leave. The fans boo more, so Dralistico says fine, he’ll stay. Dralistico storms in, Bailey trips him, and things speed up. Bailey handsprings over, then hurdles, drops, but Dralistico leaps. Dralistico RANAS, but Bailey comes back to trip Darlistico up.
Bailey stands Dralistico up to whip, but Dralistico reverses. Bailey RANAS, then kips up! Dralistico swings, Bailey dodges and the two trade off strikes and blocks. The fans cheer as the two have a standoff. Dralistico and Bailey bow in respect, but then Dralistico flips Bailey off! Bailey blocks a kick, but Dralistico dodges a chop to body blow! And CHOP! Dralistico whips, Bailey reverses and KICKS Dralistico down! The fans fire up but Mortos is annoyed. Ricochet claims Bailey isn’t looking at commentary because he’s afraid of Ricochet. Bailey stands Dralistico up, but Dralistico CHOKES Bailey to the corner!
The ref reprimands, Dralistico lets off, and he CHOPS! Bailey sputters along the ropes, Dralistico cheers himself on, then he whips. Bailey handsprings, Dralistico sidesteps, but Bailey fires off the lightning kicks! ENZIGIRI and Dralistico falls. Now Bailey looks at Ricochet and dares him to come closer. Bailey goes out, but to go after Dralistico. However, Mortos stands in his way! Bailey says move aside, but then Dralistico KICKS Bailey in the leg! And whips Bailey into railing! Dralistico argues with the ref, but that lets Mortos BOOT Bailey down! Mortos scuffs Bailey, steps on Bailey’s toes, but steps away as Dralistico steps back out. Dralistico SMACKS Bailey off the steps! Dralistico pulls on Bailey’s hair, the ref reprimands, but Dralistico lets off to argue. Dralistico puts Bailey back in the ring, then CHOKES him in the corner! The ref counts, so Dralistico rains down fists! The ref coutns again, so Dralistico stops.
Dralistico runs side to side and BOOT WASHES! Dralistico then lounges on the corner to say tranquilo. Dralistico clamps onto Bailey with a GROUND COBRA! Bailey endures, Dralistico lets go to then put him in the corner, but Collision goes to break.

Ricochet looks a bit worried, but Bailey aims to mule kick! And AX KICK! And then BUZZSAW! Dralistico is down but the fans fire up as Bailey STANDING SHOOTING STARS! Cover, TWO! Dralistico toughs it out, but he also bails out to the apron. Mortos helps Dralistico up, but Bailey goes up, up, and GOLDEN TRIANGLE! Mortos takes the hit! Backstage interview with Kris Statlander & Thunder Rosa.
Lexy Nair is with The Galaxy’s Greatest and La Mera Mera, and notes that they will be facing each other in the opening round of The Owen Hart Cup. Rosa says for the first time ever, too. Kris says she’s been waiting a long time for this. Rosa says her, too. Unfortunately, the circumstances aren’t quite what Rosa wanted, so she’ll apologize right now. A lot of people depend on Rosa, from her family to her own future in AEW. So nothing personal, but she will take this all the way. Kris says if it’s nothing personal, send Kris’ apologies to Papa Thunder. Because that Owen Hart Cup is coming home to her.
Rosa says first off, don’t talk about her dad. Second, Kris doesn’t know what it is to be THE AEW Women’s World Champion! Oh, does Rosa mean the title she gave up? They argue about what’s coming, and then Rosa shoves Kris! Kris grabs Rosa by the neck, but Rosa SLAPS back! The two get face to face, and Kris says she’ll see her in round one. Kris storms off, could their match determine the whole thing?

#FourBeltsMone still can’t believe she’s stuck with Harley as her partner. Harley can’t believe it, either! She’s so pumped up! No, remember, stick to the plan: Stay out of Mone’s way. Mone’s got this. Yes, they’ve got this! No, Mone’s got this. Mini Mone says they’ve got this, and Harley thanks her. Mone tells the puppet to shut up, forgetting it’s really Harley. Harley, why’re you down there? Stretch normal. Harley is stretching all parts at once! Arms and hips! Ride the Money Wrath Train~! Don’t sing a song about it… Mone has Harley stand up, and they finish their stretching. Will this odd couple be alright going into the Owen Hart Cup?

Speaking of the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, The CEO is going to face The Princess of the Black Throne in the opening round and it happens at Dynasty! The wild Aussie and the Fallen Goddess meet in the opening round at a later date, so this is all about moment. Will the #MoneyWrathTrain (all Harley’s idea) run right through Peoria? Or will the Hart and Forever Champion Always Win?
The teams sort out but the ref has to keep Athena and Mone from popping off already. The fans cheer on Athena as she starts against Mone, and this could be a preview of things to come. They talk trash, start pushing, and then Mone pie faces Athena! Athena pie faces back, but then Mone dodges her to tag Harley! Mone laughs but the fans boo. Athena smirks as she circles with Harley now. They tie up, go around, and Athena waistlocks. Harley drop toeholds, floats to a facelock, then gator rolls with her. Athena slips out to facelock in return, but Harley wrenches out. Athena handsprings, arm-drags, and she has an armlock on Harley.
Harley fights up, reaches out, but Hart tags in first. Athena hands Harley off to Hart for a wrench, wrench, and arm-drag! Hart has the armlock but Harley endures. Harley fights up, but Hart reels her into a cradle, TWO! Harley is up but Hart kicks low. Hart whips Harley to a corner, runs up, and she ROCKS Harley! Hart grins, runs, but Harley dodges! Harley ROUNDHOUSES from the apron, then goes up, in, and around to ENZIGIRI! Cover, TWO! Harley stays cool and she brings Hart up. Harley clamps onto the arm, tags Mone, and Mone brings Hart around to scoop. Hart slips free to roll Mone, TWO!
Mone runs up, but into a backslide, TWO! Mone knees low, throws Harty down, then dusts herself off. Athena is upset with the ref, but Mone scoops Hart to put her in the Tree of Woe. Mone stomps a mudhole in, then stops as the ref counts. Mone does her dance, then runs corner to corner. Hart sits up and Mone hits buckles! The fans rally as Hart then hangs upside-down like a bat! Mone is unsettled, but she runs in again. Hart sits back up, flips over Mone and rolls her to an O’Conner! TWO, but Hart dodges to run and tilt-o-whirl! IRON OCTOPUS! Mone endures, reaches out, but Hart pulls on that arm!
Harley has Mini Mone and throws her in! The ref picks up the puppet, but that lets Mone pull hair to get free! Mone gut wrenches Hart for a CIPHER UTAKI! Cover, TWO! Hart stays in this but Mone stays on her as Collision goes picture in picture.
Mone rains down fists, then covers, TWO! Mone stays on Hart and bumps her off buckles. Tag to Harley, they reel Hart in and double suplex! Harley covers, TWO! Hart stays in this but Harley stays on her. Harley KNEES Hart low, KNEES her again, then RUSSIAN LEG SWEEPS! Cover, TWO! Harley stays between Hart and Athena, then brings her up to bump off buckles. Tag to Mone, she stomps Hart down, then digs her boot in. The ref counts, Mone steps off, and Mone snapmares Hart to run and METEORA! Cover, TWO! Hart stays in this but Mone stays between her and Athena. Mone taunts Hart, then sucker punches Athena!

Harley tags in and she stomps a mudhole into Hart. Harley rolls, runs back in, but Hart BOOTS her! Hart ELBOWS Mone, slips under Harley, but Harley reels her into a waistlock! Hart fires elbows, then hot tags Athena! Mone tags in, but Athena dodges! Mone blocks a kick, spins Athena and Gory Especials, but Athena flips up and out! Athena reels Mone in, lifts her up, Canadian Rack! Mone slips free, but Athena BOOTS her down! And DROPKICKS her back down! The fans fire up but Harley tags in! Athena kips up and roars! The fans fire up as Athena tunes up, and runs up, WAR GODDESS FOREARM! Cover, but Mone breaks it! The fans boo but Mone whips. Athena reverses and sends Mone out! Harley helps Mone up, but Hart is up on the corner! Hart SUPER CROSSBODIES! Down goes everyone! The fans fire up while all four are on the floor, and they cheer for “A E DUB! A E DUB!” Athena and Harley crawl into the ring and rise back up.
Harley fires a forearm! And another! And another! Harley fires a flurry, then roars! The fans are torn but Harley runs, into a POP-UP POWERBOMB! Athena high stacks, then deadlifts Harley! Hart tags in, Athena hits the SIT-OUT POWERBOMB! Hart is up top, for the HARTSAULT! Harley moves, Hart rolls through, but Mone hits a BACKSTABBER! Athena gets under Mone for a POWERBOMB! Harley wrenches Athena for a SWINGING NECKBREAKER! The fans fire up while all four women are down again! Athena and Mone bail out, Hart and Harley crawl to each other. Hart fires as shot, Harley fires back!
“This is Awesome!” as the shots go back and forth! Harley wrenches and serves up SOLE FOOD! Then she clamps onto Hart for the PUMP HANDLE SAIDO! The fans fire up again and Harley shouts, “FEEL! THE! WRATH!!” Harley drags Hart up into the dragon sleeper, but Hart slips free to shove Harley back! Hart kicks low, reels Harley in, but Harley fights the lift! Harley Alabama Lifts Hart for an ALABAMA- NO, Hart flails around to have the IRON OCTOPUS! Harley endures, Athena intercepts Mone! Mone backs off, Harley TAPS! Athena & Hart win!

The Fallen Goddess struck fear into the heart of The CEO, and Mone claims she doesn’t care. Mone storms off, but will she soon see how heartless Julia Hart can be? Or will Mone look to add the Queen of Harts Championship to her collection?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision as the go-home to Dynasty, with some good Dynasty hype packages that I skipped. Good go-home stuff here, such as the promos going into the Women’s Owen Hart Cup. Good promo from Hayter and Billie, though it makes me think Hayter doesn’t know Athena has been Billie’s abusive mentor the last two years. And very good promo from Rosa and Kris to really add some heat to their match. And of course, great move with the women’s tag match main eventing, given the star power of Mone and Athena alone. Great win for Hart & Athena, but that would suggest Mone wins at Dynasty.
Great stuff for the Men’s Owen Hart Cup, as well. Konosuke & Kyle VS Hobbs & Ishii was a great opener, and while I figured the Don Callis Family would win, I feel bad that Hobbs has started to drop off again. He’s not in the tournament, and no other matches are being added to Dynasty at this point, so I guess Hobbs just has to wait and see if he’s getting a midcard title match for Double or Nothing. Speaking of, very good promo segment from Garcia and Cole to add some last bit of heat to their match. While Cole told Garcia he “isn’t ready,” and that would suggest Garcia wins to show Cole he is ready, I feel like Cole does still win this because he really needs something to stay afloat.
Caster’s Open Challenge getting the better of him never gets old, and this was a good win for Mark Briscoe going into what will likely be a loss to Kyle Fletcher at Dynasty. If Caster is holding the Open Challenge again so soon, I really hope Bowens answers it. That’d be a great little surprise for Dynasty, as we’ve all been waiting and wondering about Bowens’ return. And it can kick off a proper feud between Caster and Bowens that can go on to Double or Nothing and maybe even All In: Texas. After all, as two of AEW’s top homegrown names, these guys deserve something big to really top off their story together.
Very good promo for Shane Taylor Promotions to call out The Opps, and that can be a great feud to build both teams in the trios division. Good promo with The Cru, though being Heels, they of course spin things as if they weren’t the ones staying away for so long. And good involvement of Nick Wayne again. Very good match of Cru VS Top Flight, and a good combination of Top Flight winning but Cru & Nick Wayne standing tall. That Six Man Tag will be good stuff, and regardless of who wins, this will definitely add to the story of Nick Wayne and Christian Cage.
Very good stuff from Cash VS Pac, and naturally Claudio & Yuta had to get involved. That brought out Cope & Dax, and while Pac steals the match, at least Rated FTR stands together united. At least, for right now. There’s still a big chance that the moment they lose, Rated FTR falls apart and Dax again loses his cool. The question will be if Cash sticks by Dax or by Cope. I feel like FTR needs to stick together so that the AEW Tag Division doesn’t lose a great team. Plus, it would just make sense as it felt like both Dax & Cash were turning given their feud with The Undisputed Kingdom.
Very good promo from Jay White to put Knight over while still putting him, Ospreay, and even the Death Riders on notice. While it is a shame that White will be out for some time because of the busted hand, this could be an opportunity for him to return with the Bang Bang Gang alongside him to stand against The Death Riders. Like, Juice Robinson is still out with his own injury, but The Gunns kinda dropped off the mat after losing to The Hurt Syndicate. I’m pretty sure Austin & Colten still owe Death Riders for some such beatdown over the past year, but they could also just want the trios titles back.
And a great match from Bailey VS Dralistico, even with Mortos and Ricochet hanging around. Great win for Bailey, but Ricochet of course had to attack him just because. Given this math, I would think Kenny Omega retains because Bailey and Ricochet focus more on each other than on him. Kenny may not be what he once was given the diverticulitis taking some of his intestines, but he’s shown to still have the same savvy and grit as before, and so this can be a case where both challengers are underestimating him and they both fail for that reason.

The fans fire up, Anna whips, but Megan blocks and reverses. Megan runs in, Anna slips outside, and then Anna HEEL KICKS! Ford is there to anchor Anna, Harley protests, but Megan BOOTS Anna in the distraction!
The fans boo but then Ford ASAI MOONSAULTS! Down goes Anna and Ford soaks up the heat. Megan storms over but so does Harley. Harley coaches Anan but Megan drags her up. Megan whips Anna hard into railing! Anna falls in a heap and Megan soaks up the heat. Ford taunts Anna, Megan hauls Anna up and hits an APRON BACK SUPLEX! Megan soaks up more heat from Chicago, then blows a kiss before stepping inside. Megan pushes Anna to a cover, TWO! Megan is amused as Anna toughs it out, and Megan drags Anna up. Megan clamps on the BEARHUG and squeezes tight! The fans rally and Anna fights with elbows!
Harley and the fans rally as Anna still fights, but Megan THROWS Anna overhead! Megan stalks Anna, soaks up heat, and then steps out to the apron. Megan drags Anna out to join her, and APRON SENTONS, but Anna moves! Megan writhes while Anna crawls and the fans rally back up. Anna brings Megan around to JAWBREAKER! Megan fires a forearm, Anna fires back! Megan CHOPS, but Anna fires a flurry! Anna ROCKS Megan, but Megan- NO, Anna dodges the boot to wrench and HOOK KICK! Then BACKSTABBER! The fans fire up and Anna runs at the corner, LEG LARIAT! Anna keeps moving, but Megan fireman’s carries!
Anna fights free, slips to the apron, and RAMS into Megan! Anna then turns Megan for a NECKBREAKER HOTSHOT! Megan staggers but she comes back! Anna DUMPS Megan out! The fans fire up as Anna aims, CROSSBODY on Megan & Ford! Harley and the fans cheer as Anna puts Megan in. Anna climbs, leaps, and BLOCKBUSTERS! Then she drags Megan up, only for Megan to suplex! FALCON ARROW! Megan’s done the deal but can’t make the cover! She crawls and hooks a leg, TWO! Anna survives thanks to the delay and Megan is mad! Megan drags Anna up, ROCKS her, then fireman’s carries!
Anna kicks and flails, but Megan still throws Anna into FATE’S- NO, Anna lands out to DDT! Cover, TWO! Megan survives, Ford is relieved, and Harley is frazzled. Anna hurries to hook Megan up in the QUEENSLAYER SLEEPER!! Megan drops to her knees and the fans rally up! Anna squeezes tight but Megan rises, to then RAM her into buckles! Speaking of buckles, Ford slips into the ring to rip at one! Harley hurries over to trip Ford up! The pad comes away, but Harley and Ford brawl! The fans fire up as they go up the ramp! As for Megan, she whips Anna at the corner! Anna stops short, Megan runs in, but Anna sends her into the buckle! Roll up, TWO!!
Megan survives and Anna is shocked! The fans rally up and Anna hurries back for the QUEENSLAYER!! Body scissors are locked in, but Megan uses her sheer power to rise up! And she RAMS Anna into that buckle!! Megan lifts Anna in the Electric Chair, then SPINNING POWERBOMBS! High stack, TWO, but into a deadlift, and a fireman’s carry!! FATE’S DESCENT!! The bell rings and Kyle BOOTS Fox right down! Callis is on commentary to say that is a proto-fast start there. The fans boo but Kyle soaks up the heat. Fox stands but Kyle BOOTS him again! Kyle stomps Fox in the corner again and again, then stands on Fox. The fans boo, the ref reprimands, but Kyle steps off to say he has ’til 5. Kyle CHOPS, Fox is stinging, but Kyle CHOPS again! Kyle whips corner to corner, Fox goes up and out, and then Fox BOOTS Kyle! Fox slips in, slips out, and Kyle hits buckles! Fox trips Kyle, the fans rally, and Fox slingshots to facelock, only for Kyle to suplex first! Fox slips free, Kyle elbows him away, then Kyle runs.
Fox drops, then DROPKICKS! The fans fire up while Kyle checks his face. Callis admits, Fox is on another level athletically. The problem is: Fox panders to the fans. Fox knuckle locks Kyle, goes up, up, jumps around a bit, and Callis says that’s a waste of movement! Fox still jumps to wheelbarrow and BULLDOG! The fans fire up but Callis says this is pathetic. Kyle bails out, Fox builds speed, but Kyle is back! POP-UP and SWINGING SIDE SLAM! Callis loves it as Kyle struts around and says “SUCK IT!” Kyle looms over Fox and stomps him while Collision goes picture in picture.
Fox rises, Kyle storms over, but Fox fires body shots. Kyle eggs Fox on, then scoops to SLAM! Kyle says it’s that easy. Kyle still checks his teeth, then he goes back to Fox. Fox rises, kicks low, then kicks again. Fox fires forearms but Kyle scoops and SLAMS! Kyle rains down shots, the ref reprimands about closed fists, so Kyle shifts to driving in ELBOWS! Kyle stops to cool off, then he stalks Fox to a corner. Kyle climbs up, soaks up heat, and he rains down fists! Kyle goes all the way to nine, then winds it up, but Fox YANKS Kyle down! Kyle hits buckles and Fox climbs up! Now Fox rains down fists! Fox goes all the way to TEN, then past that to 15!
Kyle shoves Fox away and he CLOBBERS fox! Kyle shakes out the stars before standing back up. Fox sputters but Kyle drags him up. Kyle bumps Fox off buckles, turns him around, and BODY BLOWS! Fox sputters but Kyle ROCKS him, BODY BLOWS, and repeat! Kyle puts Fox up top, ROCKS him again, and then climbs up. The fans rally as Beach Break returns to single picture. Fox blocks the suplex! Fox fires body shots, shoves Kyle away, and then adjusts. But Kyle is back to trip Fox up! Except Fox split-leg flips through! And he rolls Kyle to then BASEMENT CUTTER! The fans fire up and Fox runs in, but Kyle BOOTS him!
Kyle goes up, but Fox ENZIGIRIS! Kyle wobbles, Fox grabs his arms, ICONOCLASM and a roll-through, for another CUTTER! Cover, TWO! Kyle survives but Fox stays focused. Fox drags Kyle up as the fans rally, and Fox tucks the arms. Kyle fights the lift, throws Fox back, and SNAP HALF ‘N’ HALF! Kyle snarls and waits on Fox. Fox stands, Kyle runs in, but Fox puts him on the apron and sweeps the legs! Fox runs, slingshots, and SHADOW STOMPS on the apron! Fox then skins the cat to DROPKICK Kyle to the floor! The trios sort out and Ishii starts against Azucar. Ishii is definitely still pissed with how Rocky turned on him, The Conglomeration, and NJPW’s Chaos. But then Trent CLUBS Ishii from behind! Ishii ROCKS Trent return, then ROCKS Rocky! The ref reprimands but Rocky RAMS Ishii into the corner! Archer tags in, he shoves Ishii, and then he CLOBBERS Ishii! Ishii tumbles, but Brody tags in! The fans rally for “MEAT! MEAT!” and bark it up. Archer and Brody circle, step up, and they throw forearms! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Brody fires a flurry then CHOPS! Brody puts some stank on it, but Archer throat chops!
Archer runs, but Brody BOOTS him! Brody runs and DIVES out onto Archer! They hit the barriers, Bandido & Ishii run in and BLAST RPG Vice! Bandido rallies the fans, Brody brings Archer up and ROCKS him! Brody stalks Archer to the railing, sits him down with a CHOP, then barks as he gets space. The fans bark with Brody, and Brody runs in, but Trent BUSAIKU KNEES! Rocky BLASTS Ishii, Trent YANKS Bandido down, Archer APRON CHOKE SLAMS Brody! It is a different kind of chaos now as Rocky bumps Ishii off the apron and BOOTS him! The ref tries to restore order but Collision goes picture in picture.
Rocky gives some Azucar Heat while Archer puts Brody against barriers. Archer CHOPS Brody, Rocky CHOPS Ishii, but Ishii hits Rocky back! Rocky BOOTS Ishii, Archer ROCKS Brody, and Rocky SMACKS Ishii off steel steps! Trent even sends Bandido into those same steps! Archer finally puts Brody in the ring and CLUBS away on him in the corner. Archer bumps Brody off buckles and tags in Rocky. The Callis Family mugs Brody, then Rocky DROPKICKS! Tag to Trent, RPG Vice mugs Brody with DIVING AX HANDLES! Trent stalks Brody to the ropes and CHOKES him! The ref counts, Trent steps off, but Rocky sneaks a cheap shot!
Trent runs back in and he DROPKICKS Brody off the ropes! Trent covers, TWO, and Collision goes to break.
Beach Break returns again and Ishii dodges Rocky to GERMAN SUPELX! Cover, Trent breaks it! Ishii snarls and he ROCKS Rocky, ROCKS Trent, repeat! The fans rally, Ishii runs, but into DOUBLE JUMP KNEES! Archer BOOTS Ishii! Archer BLASTS Brody! RPG drags Ishii up, they put him on the rope, and Rocky goes up! GUILLOTINE DOUBLE STOMP! Ishii sits up, into Trent’s SLIDING KNEE! Archer drags Ishii up for a CHOKE SLAM! Cover, TWO!! Ishii survives the onslaught and the Callis Family is shocked! RPG Vice coordinate while Archer baseball slide DROPKICKS Brody! Trent Alabama Lifts Ishii, tucks him in, but Bandido BOOTS Trent into a DETROYER!
Rocky leaps, Bandido dodges, but Archer runs up! Bandido DUMPS Archer out! The fans fire up but Rocky kicks Bandido! Rocky runs, into a POP-UP CUTTER! Ishii tags Brody and the fans bark! Brody BLASTS Archer, then he storms upon Rocky. Brody kicks Rocky, he and Ishii double whip him corner to corner! Ishii runs to LARIAT! Brody adds a LARIAT! Then Bandido gets a boost to SHOTGUN Rocky! The fans fire up and bark for Brody! CANNONBALL! Cover, Brody and team win!

Archer gets Rocky & Trent out of the ring, they retreat, but Turbo Floyd & Truth Magnum stand tall with the winners! Will this new conglomeration be just the thing to defeat the Don Callis Family?
Backstage interview with Paragon.
Lexy Nair is with Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong and the AEW TNT Champion, Adam Cole. Lexy brings up Cole’s “target on his back,” and Cole says that’s how it is when you’re a champion. A lot of people want their shot, but that’s how he likes it. He is Adam Cole Baybay, so he is ready to take on anyone and everyone who wants their shot. But then in step the Grizzled Young Veterans. Zack Gibson says it is ironic that the very top stars this business has ever produced are really just three babies. Kyle says cool it right there, pal! Kyle admits, he can be juvenile and immature, maybe young at heart, but he is not some baby.
James Drake says this is Paragon’s real problem: All heart, all jokes, but they’ve gone soft. Roddy shouts, “GRIZZLED~! Young Veterans… I like the scarves, guys. But fellas, you know what I’d like more? To beat their asses.” Gibson says next week, GYV VS Kyle & Roddy, and Gibson warns them right now, the Paragon will be dragged into the deep water. And when they’re down there, gasping for air, then they’ll see if there’s an ounce of fight left in Paragon. Drake says he wants Cole on commentary so we can hear his heart break as everyone sees the best team is GYV. Cole says if GYV wants to be one of the best tag teams in AEW, they’ve gotta earn it.
But trust Cole when he says the pressure isn’t on them, it’s all on GYV. Paragon heads out, who will crack under said pressure when these teams finally have it out?

Okada shrugs and leaves, but is the line of contenders growing longer the longer Okada keeps ducking them?

As Bill & Keith make their entrance, Keith already brings a pool cue and some kind of panel, and Bill brings a table out from under the ring! Chicago already likes where this is going as the table is propped up in a corner. Kaun & Liona make sure to bring trash cans full of plunder, as well as their own pool cue and… a baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire! Bill & Keith rush them at the ramp, the bell rings, and Liona JAMS Bill with the bat!! Keith and Kaun brawl, Liona CLUBS Bill with the bat, and then Kaun use a wet floor sign to SMACK Keith! Kaun brings the trashcan over, SMACKS Keith with a road sign, but Keith CLAWS Kaun’s eyes!
Bill SMACKS Liona with a trash can! But Liona CLUBS him with the bad again! And even in the leg! Keith uses that street sign to SMACK Kaun now! Bill SMACKS Liona with the pool cue! Bill whips Liona into the steel steps hard! The steps go sliding, Kaun fights back on Keith, but Bill BOOTS Kaun! Bill SMACKS Keith with the street sign, and SMACKS him again! Keith CHOKES Liona with the wet floor sign, but Liona rips that up! Bill has a traffic cone and he SMACKS Kaun! Keith CLOBBERS Liona with a pipe! Bill puts Kaun in the ring, then runs to SPLASH him in the corner! The fans fire up for Bill as he and Keith coordinate.
Bill runs in again, but Kaun dodges, and Kaun SPEARS Keith through the table!! Bill is stunned, but here comes Liona! Liona and Bill step up, and Bill KNEES low! Bill CLUBS Liona, Liona KNEES Bill! The fans rally for the “MEAT!” as the hands keep going! Both men RAM shoulders! And RAM AGAIN! Liona runs, ducks ‘n’ dodges, and he RAMS Bill! Bill staggers, but Kaun sib ack! Kaun CHOKES Bill with a cable! Liona DUMPS Bill out to the floor! Kaun CHOKES Bill more, the fans boo, but Bill RAMS Kaun into barriers! Lionia runs up but Bill BOOTS him! Liona staggers, Keith leaps, but Liona catches him! APRON SLAM for Keith! Bill ELBOWS Kaun and is free of the choke hold, just as Collision goes picture in picture!
Kaun has a trash can, and he SMASHES it on Bill’s head! And then SMASHES him again! Bill falls in a heap and Kaun sees Liona has Keith. Liona smothers Keith, then whips him hard into the steel steps! Keith falls in a heap and Liona smiles. The Gates regroup, and Kaun drags Keith up to CLUB him in the chest! Kaun hears the fans, and he decides to do that one more time! Kaun CHOPS Keith! But then Keith CLAWS Kaun’s eyes! Liona has a pool stick, but Keith snatches it to SMACK Liona with it! Keith storms in but Liona SMACKS him with a trashcan lid! Liona grins as he CHOKES Keith with the lid!
Kaun steps in, he has Liona let off, and they take turns hitting Keith with trashcan lids! Keith writhes and flounders out of the ring! Liona goes out and he SMACKS Bill! Liona SMACKS away on Bill’s leg while Kaun CHOKES Keith with a pool cue! Kaun then shoves Keith into the ring and Liona joins him. They drag Keith up, put him in the Tree of Woe, and then add a trashcan to the mix! Liona rallies the fans as Beach Break returns to single picture. Liona runs to RAM the can! Kaun adds a DROPKICK! The Gates drag Keith out of the Tree but into the drop zone, BANZAI DROP! Cover, BILL BREAKS IT!
Bill fires hands on Kaun and LARIATS him out of the ring! The fans fire up and Bill storms out after Kaun. Bill brings Kaun to the double tables Liona set up earlier, and he RAMS Kaun into railing. Bill ROCKS Kaun, then picks up that backpack he had earlier… Bill grins and opens the backpack up. Bill dumps out BRICKS! Just like he did to Hobbs months ago! He says here in Chicago, we’ve heard the chant of “MONGO! MONGO!” and it is time to pay tribute to one of the great football players, one of the great pro-wrestlers, the late, great Steve McMichael! The fans cheer that, and we are joined by his widow, Misty McMichael, and she is happy to be here. Steve was the greatest man she’s ever known, made a special impact on both football and wrestling. They were together 27 years in all, and she is so happy to pay tribute. And then we get Dean Malenko! The fans cheer and Dean waves.
Schiavone brings up Mongo being a four-time All Pro, two-time Pro Bowl selection, and part of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl 20 winning team, and was even inducted into the NFL Pro-Football Hall of Fame last year. The fans cheer, and Schiavone says Mongo exemplified the fighting spirit and determination of all great Chicago athletes. Plus, in this very building, Mongo coached the Chicago Slaughter to an undefeated season in Arena Football! The fans cheer that, and Schiavone says as a wrestler, Mongo was one of the Four Horsemen, and even became a United States Heavyweight Champion.

Schiavone says they’ve held together like this many times over the years, but tonight is the most special and most emotional. Ric agrees. He wants to say Chicago is one of the greatest wrestling towns in the world.
Ric once coined the phrase, “To be the man, you gotta beat the man.” And Steve McMichael was more man than anyone he’s ever known! Mongo fought ALS for six YEARS! Fully aware of everything around him, yet unable to move. That massive 280 pound man finally made it to the Hall of Fame, and is now up there in Heaven, God bless him and God bless you all. Ric says he cannot say enough about Misty. She never left Mongo’s side. She learned how to be a wonderful nurse. The fans cheer on Mongo, and Ric thanks them for that. Ric thanks everyone for being here, and Schiavone thanks Ric for being here. #ThankYouMongo, we will miss you.
AEW World Tag Team Championships #1 Contenders match: The Sons of Texas VS CRU!
Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara may be the ROH World Tag Team Champions, but that doesn’t mean they’re just going to stop. But Lio Rush pointed out that he and Bobby Lashley have history that needs to be sorted out. Will the Man of the Hour and Action Andretti be a sight to see? Or will CRU not know what to do after losing to The Natural & The Spanish God?
The teams sort out and Dustin starts against Action. The fans rally, Dustin and Action feel things out, but Dustin avoids Action’s leg pick. Action and Dustin reset, tie up, and then break. They tie up again, Dustin powers Action to the corner, but Action turns things around. Action lets off slowly, then he mocks the deep breath. Action shoves Dustin but Dustin shoves Action! Lio CLOBBERS Dustin, then he dodges Sammy! CRU mugs Sammy, then they mug Dustin! The fans boo and the ref reprimands. Lio backs off but Action whips Dustin. Dustin says “Not Today!” and UPPERCUTS! Then he runs, but Lio KICKS Dustin!
Dustin swings, misses, but Action runs up! Dustin sends Action into Lio, then arm-drags Action! Dustin wrenches Action, tags to Sammy, and the Sons of Texas DOUBLE SUPLEX! Sammy tags Dustin back in but CRU wants chairs? They make Arkady Aura and the timekeeper give up their chairs, but then the Sons of Texas go out to CLAW and CLOBBER CRU for it! Sammy RAMS Lio, Lio fires hands, but Dustin UPPERCUTS Action! Dustin and Sammy send CRU into railing on opposite ends of ringside. The fans cheer as Dustin CLAWS Action’s back! Lio wants a timeout, but then Action sends Dustin into steel steps!
The fans boo and Sammy is worried for Dustin, but Action anchors Sammy at the apron! Lio HANDSPRING KICKS Sammy down, then DIVES! Direct hit, and then Lio sets Sammy up for Action’s ARABIAN PRESS! The fans boo as CRU stands tall, but Collision goes picture in picture.
CRU soaks up the heat, and they stomp Sammy. Actin puts Dustin in the ring, then CHOP BLOCKS his leg! Dustin falls in a heap but Action drags him around by his leg. Action puts Dustin’s leg on the ropes for a HIP DROP! The ref reprimands but Action HIP DROPS the leg again! Action tags Lio, Lio looms over Dustin and talks trash. Lio kicks away on Dustin’s leg, then GROUND DRAGON SCREWS! Lio BITES Dustin’s face and the ref reprimands. Lio stops, then he ROCKS Dustin! And ROCKS him again! Lio talks trash but Dustin stands. Lio KICKS the leg, but Dustin UPPERCUTS! Lio wobbles, but he comes back for another CHOP BLOCK!
Tag to Action, Action has Dustin’s leg on the ropes, and he pulls on the foot! The ref counts, Action stop, but Lio pulls on the leg! Sammy protests while Dustin suffers, and Collision goes to break.
Beach Break returns as CRU have Dustin’s legs! They DOUBLE LEG DDT! Dustin writhes, the ref reprimands, but Action flips off Sammy. Sammy says this should be a disqualification for the tag partner count. The fans tell Action off but he waits on Dustin. Dustin rises, Action runs in, but Dustin BOOTS him! Dustin hurries along the ropes, but Action runs in! Dustin DUMPS Action back out! Lio runs in, Dustin dodges and then SNAP POWERSLAMS! The fans fire up as Dustin crawls! Hot tag to Sammy! And he FLIES over the corner to take out Action! Sammy puts Action in, climbs up top, and he CROSSBODIES CRU!
The fans fire up with Sammy and he wrenches Lio for a CUTTER! Sammy BOOTS Action, goes up, up, and FLYING CUTTERS! Cover, TWO! Action survives but Sammy just says time to go up! Speaking of Willow, she storms in and asks if Kris has something to say. Is Kris sorry again? Yes, actually! Is she gonna claim she didn’t see Marina Shafir choke Willow out? No, of course she didn’t! Willow says save the excuses. Kris and Yuta used to be Best Friends! Yeah, well now they’re not! Willow and Kris shout over each other, but Willow says she is too busy with the Death Riders. Willow pulls Kris’ hair to get her to stop, but Kris says when Willow is ready, she knows where to find Kris.
The two storm off in opposite directions, and clearly the tension has only mounted between them. What will it take for the former friends to be friends again?

The Steel Cage main event for Dynamite was brutal, and naturally both The Opps and the Death Riders got involved. Anarchy in the Arena awaits, but will Hobbs and Yuta still be part of it? Or will one of them take out the other with extreme prejudice?
While Hobbs is on the corner as part of his entrance, Yuta attacks! The bell rings while the fans boo, and the ref reprimands Yuta for the sneak attack. Yuta doesn’t care as he CLUBS away on Hobbs! But wait, Hobbs isn’t even bothered. The fans tell Yuta he messed up, but then Yuta SLAPS Hobbs! Talk about double or nothing… Hobbs chases Yuta around the outside, then back into the ring. Yuta CLUBS away on Hobbs, but Hobbs grabs him with both hands! Yuta slips free, goes to the apron, and he HOTSHOTS Hobbs! Yuta runs in again, but Hobbs CLOBBERS him! The fans cheer while Hobbs snarls.
Hobbs stands Yuta up, but Yuta fires a forearm! Hobbs just frowns. Yuta fires another forearm, but Hobbs storms up on him. Yuta fires another forearm, but still Hobbs storms up. So Yuta pokes Hobbs in the eye! Yuta goes up, leaps, but into Hobbs’ arms! The fans cheer as Hobbs then pops Yuta around, and OKLAHOMA STAMPEDES! Hobbs rains down fists now, then he paces. The fans fire up with Hobbs and he stalks Yuta. Hobbs whips Yuta to TOSS him out of the ring! The fans rally, Hobbs goes out, and Hobbs drags Yuta up. The fans cheer for “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” and Hobbs POSTS Yuta! Yuta falls in a heap but Hobbs brings him right back up.
Hobbs SLAMS Yuta on the apron! Hobbs then picks Yuta up to SLAM him again, and again, and again! The ring count is 7 of 10 but Hobbs shoves Yuta in. The fans cheer and Hobbs storms in. Hobbs grins but Yuta CHOPS! Hobbs just SLAPS Yuta down! Yuta is dazed, Hobbs brings him up, and Hobbs hoists Yuta to the top rope. Hobbs climbs, brings Yuta to the very top, and he SUPERPLEXES! Cover, TWO! Hobbs grins, puts Yuta in the corner, and he CHOPS! The fans “WOO~,” and Hobbs CHOPS again! Hobbs then puts Yuta across the top ropes, and fans chant “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” as Hobbs CLUBS Yuta!
Hobbs climbs up, picks Yuta up, but Yuta slips free! Yuta CLUBS Hobbs, then THROWS Hobbs down! Yuta runs to basement DROPKICK Hobbs’ leg! The fans boo while Hobbs writhes, but Yuta cheers himself on. Yuta stomps Hobbs, stomps him more, and Collision goes picture in picture.
Yuta pulls at Hobbs’ kneepad, then the tape underneath. Yuta stomps the leg, then he brings Hobbs up. Yuta CHOP BLOCKS Hobbs’ leg, then puts it on the ropes. Yuta stands on the ropes, the ref counts, but Yuta stops at 4. Yuta tells the ref he has ’til 5, then he STOMPS Hobbs’ leg! Yuta drags Hobbs around, twists Hobbs’ foot, but Hobbs CLUBS at Yuta! Yuta hobbles but then he drops an ELBOW on Hobbs’ leg! Hobbs clamps on with a chinlock but Yuta fights that off. Yuta grinds Hobbs’ leg, but Hobbs grabs at Yuta. Yuta fights that off, and he mockingly applauds. Yuta flips the fans off, but Hobbs CHOPS him!
Yuta CLAWS Hobbs’ eyes, the ref reprimands, but Yuta goes back to Hobbs. Hobbs hobbles but he still kicks Yuta. Yuta stomps Hobbs’ leg, puts him in a corner, and he puts the leg in the ropes. The ref counts and Hobbs grabs at Yuta, but Yuta BITES Hobbs’ hand! Yuta runs side to side and DROPKICKS Hobbs to the outside! Yuta goes out after Hobbs and he looms over Hobbs. Yuta drags Hobbs around and SLAMS the leg against barriers! Yuta SLAMS the leg against the barriers again, then refreshes the ring count. Yuta drags Hobbs around again, then hits a KNEE JAMMER! Yuta drags Hobbs up and puts him in.
Beach Break returns to single picture, Yuta paces around Hobbs, and then Yuta stands Hobbs up. Hobbs shoves Yuta but Yuta CHOP BLOCKS him down! Yuta shows off by doing jumping jacks, then he drags Hobbs to another toehold. The fans rally while Hobbs endures. Hobbs sits up, grabs at Yuta, but then kicks him again and again! Yuta lets go, comes back, but Hobbs ROCKS him! Yuta rewinds, shoots around, but Hobbs fights the German Suplex! Yuta CHOP BLOCKS again, then runs, and he DROPKICKS Hobbs out! The fans boo but Yuta builds speed. Yuta DIVES, and he sends Hobbs into railing! Yuta RAMS Hobbs into the apron, then the railing!
Yuta taunts fans, puts Hobbs in the ring, then he fires himself up! The fans boo more as Yuta climbs, but Hobbs ROCKS him first! The fans fire up, Hobbs climbs, and he reels Yuta in. Yuta fights the lift and fires body shots! Hobbs ROCKS Yuta, but Yuta BITES Hobbs again! Yuta SHOVES Hobbs down, and DIVING BODY PRESS! Cover, TWO! The fans cheer as Hobbs stays in this, but Yuta snarls. Yuta aims from a corner, mocks the Yes chant, and runs in, but into a LARIAT! The fans fire up but Hobbs still hobbles. Hobbs winds up to LARIAT! And ELBOW! Yuta dodges the next shot, but runs into a POWERSLAM!
The fans fire up as Hobbs headbutts buckles! “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” echoes and Hobbs LARIATS in the corner! Hobbs LARIATS again and again, “MEAT! MEAT! MEAT!” Hobbs short arm LARIATS, covers, TWO!! Yuta survives all that meat, but Hobbs brings down the straps! The fans fire up as Hobbs then lifts Yuta, but Yuta sunset flips! Hobbs YANKS Yuta up, but Yuta KICKS the leg! Hobbs handles town bidness, even with a bad leg! But then Marina Shafir CHOP BLOCKS Hobbs!! The fans boo as The Problem kicks away on Hobbs’ leg! Yuta joins in, but here comes Willow! The Babe with the Power rushes in and she glares at Marina. Marina runs up, but into a SPINEBUSTER from Willow! Willow SLAPS Marina around, Yuta sighs and pulls Willow’s hair! The fans boo and Willow is pissed. Willow SLAPS Yuta, roars at him, and then Hobbs is up! Hobbs ROCKS Yuta, Willow reels Yuta in, but Marina makes the save! The Death Riders retreat, but Kris is on stage! Kris chose not to help her former friend, how is she supposed to make amends?
As for Willow & Hobbs, they stand tall. With just over a week left, will these powerhouses be obvious choices for Anarchy in the Arena?
My Thoughts:
A great Collision that only suffered from TNT and/or MAX having broadcasting problems. Not sure why it happened, but this isn’t the first time a prerecorded Collision has been messed up on some level. Are they just putting interns and amateurs behind the desk on these episodes? Thankfully when some technology fails, other technology is there to make up for it. Ironically, that loving tribute to Steve McMichael was a great place to end any broadcast, and what a great surprise for Ric Flair to show up.
Megan VS Anna was a very good opener, and that buckle spot was a very clever way for Ford to factor into the finish. Megan was of course going to win, though, and she stays strong and undefeated while waiting on a title shot. Good promo from Mina to hype up her shot at Toni, and Mina will have a great match with Julia Hart next Wednesday. Great stuff from The Don Callis Family tonight, from Kyle VS Fox to the Six Man Tag. Great win for Kyle to keep him sharp while waiting on title stories, but also good win for the Faces. The Outrunners coming to help after was also very fitting, I wonder if we’ll get a 10 Man of Bandido, Brody, Ishii & Outrunners VS Kyle, Konosuke, Alexander and RPG Vice. That’s at least a solid Buy-In match.
Very good stuff with Bailey VS Blake but Bailey of course won. Bailey calling out Okada was great, and of course Okada insults Bailey rather than fight him. LFI attacking Bailey was a nice surprise, and while Dralistico might want another match with Bailey, I think it’s time we get Bailey VS Rush, and then the winner of that can challenge Okada for the Continental Championship. Story wise, Okada VS Bailey makes sense, but Okada VS Rush is just awesome to think about. The Chicago Street Fight was very good, and I appreciate even Chicago likes Big Bill. Bill & Keith winning is great for them, and can certainly feed into Jericho’s return and how Jericho still won’t respect his Branches. Then we get Bill VS Jericho, and Learning Tree splits up.
Good promo from The Paragon with GYV, and we’ll get a great match of GYV VS Roddy & Kyle. Cole bringing up his TNT Championship but then not setting up a challenger is odd, but I think it has to do with Sammy Guevara taking his detour into this tag title story. CRU VS Sons of Texas was great, but as I was saying for Dynamite, Sons of Texas winning was just a given. Very good promo from Willow and Kris, great match of Yuta VS Hobbs, and great win for Hobbs. Hobbs & Willow running off Yuta & Marina was good stuff, I wonder if they fit in a Mixed Tag before Anarchy in the Arena as a sampler of what we could get for Double or Nothing, Willow beating up Yuta while Marina tries to choke out Hobbs.

The teams sort out and Don Callis of course joins commentary. Chicago rallies and duels for Ospreay and Hangman, and Ospreay holds the ropes open for Hangman to step out. Ospreay starts against The Alpha and the fans fire up with the bell. Ospreay and Konosuke tie up, Konosuke wrenches to wristlock, but Ospreay spins and wrenches to hammerlock, then headlocks. Ospreay wrenches, Konosuke switches to headlock, but Ospreay powers out. Konosuke RUNS Ospreay over, Ospreay kips up, but Konosuke throws him down by his hair! Ospreay kips up again and ROCKS Konosuke! Ospreay whips, Konosuke reverses, and things speed up.
Konosuke hurdles, Ospreay leaps over, and Konosuke trips Ospreay. Cover, ONE! Ospreay sweeps and covers, ONE! Konosuke narrowly ducks the buzzsaw and the fans fire up! The fans cheer and Konosuke backs off. Tag to the Walking Weapon and the fans tell off Callis. Ospreay steps back, looks to Hangman, and Hangman holds out his hand. Ospreay says not yet, and he circles with Alexander. They tie up, Alexander puts Ospreay on the ropes, but the ref counts. Alexander lets off slowly, but then RAMS Ospreay down low! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but Alexander CLUBS Ospreay. Alexander whips, Ospreay ducks ‘n’ dodges then RANAS!
The fans fire up while Alexander tumbles! Ospreay then wrenches Alexander, reaches out to Hangman, but Alexander whips Ospreay to the Callis corner. Alexander runs up but Ospreay BOOTS him, ELBOWS Konosuke, and jumps up, but into a FLAPJACK! Alexander stares Hangman down while the fans boo. Alexander bumps Ospreay off buckles, hoists him up with an Electric Chair, and Konosuke goes up! ELECTRIC CHAIR TOSS JUMP KNEE COMBO!! Then Konosuke BOOTS Hangman off the corner! The fans boo, the ref stops Hangman from getting in, but that lets Alexander stomp and CHOKE Ospreay at ropes!
The fans boo while Konosuke taunts Hangman. Callis brags that Konosuke & Alexander aren’t just a team, they’re family! Konosuke CLUBS Ospreay but the fans rally up. Konosuke bumps Ospreay off buckles but Ospreay fires forearms! Konosuke CLAWS Ospreay’s face, then lifts, but Ospreay fights the Blue Thunder. Ospreay fires elbows but Konosuke shoves him to ropes. Konosuke ROCKS Ospreay in the back with a forearm, then brings him around. Konosuke whips, but Ospreay tilt-o-whirl RANAS! The fans fire up while both men down, hot tag to Hangman! Hangman CLOBBERS Konosuke, BLASTS Alexander, then BOOTS Konosuke!
Hangman triangle jumps to LARIAT Alexander! Then he dodges Konosuke to scoop and FALL AWAY SLAM! The fans fire up as then Hangman PLANCHAS Alexander down! The fans fire up as Hangman quickly loads up on the apron. Konosuke runs up but Hangman BOOTS him away. Alexander anchors Hangman’s foot but Hangman kicks him away, to then ASAI MOONSAULT! And then he hurries in, wrenches and fireman’s carries, DEATH VALLEY DRIVER for Konosuke! Cover, TWO! Konosuke stays in this but Hangman stays focused. Callis admits, Hangman can string together high impact moves like no one else.
Hangman runs corner to corner, LARIATS Konosuke, then snapmares him to run and SLIDING- NO, Konosuke dodges! Konosuke ROCKS Hangman, Hangman ROCKS Konosuke, repeat! The fans rally behind Hangman as the shots keep going, but Konosuke fires boxing elbows! Hangman BOOTS the lariat, then gut wrenches! But Konosuke fights it to one of his own! Hangman slips free, shoves and dodges Konosuke, but Konosuke dodges, only for Hangman to POP-UP POWERBOMB! Cover, TWO! Konosuke is still in this but Hangman drags him over. Tag to Ospreay and the fans cheer as the two double whip.
Ospreay & Hangman DOUBLE SHOULDER TACKLE Konosuke, then Ospreay sets him up for Hangman’s SLIDING LARIAT! Ospreay RUNNING SHOOTING STAR PRESSES, covers, TWO! Konosuke survives again but Ospreay keeps close. Ospreay drags Konosuke up, fires Kawada Kicks, and the fans sing for him. Konosuke staggers to the corner, Hangman sets him up for Ospreay’s CHOP! Konosuke falls, Ospreay and Hangman nod, and Hangman tags in. They mug Konosuke, taking turns throwing haymakers. The ref reprimands, the two double whip, but Alexander grabs Konosuke! Ospreay runs up but Konosuke DUMPS Ospreay out!
Hangman runs up, BLASTS Alexander, but Konosuke CLOBBERS Hangman! Alexander slides in and runs to CROSSBODY Hangman off the apron! Alexander sets both men up, and Konosuke FLIES! Down go Ospreay & Hangman! The fans are torn because that was impressive, sot hey cheer on “A E DUB! A E DUB!” for making this match happen. The Don Callis Family is feeling good while Dynamite goes picture in picture.
Hangman and Ospreay writhe while Konosuke & Alexander regroup. Konosuke drags Hangman up and into the ring, then puts him in an open corner. Konosuke stomps Hangman, stands on him, but stops as the ref counts 4. Konosuke tags Alexander and Alexander stalks Hangman along the ropes. Alexander KNEES Hangman, suplexes him high and hard, then covers, TWO! Hangman is tougher than that, but Alexander ELBOWS him in the head! Hangman gets up to ROCK Alexander, ROCK Konosuke, but Alexander kicks low. Alexander fires hands in the corner but lets off as the ref counts. Alexander and the ref argue, then Alexander goes back for more.
Alexander bumps Hangman off buckles, CHOPS him, but Hangman just gets mad. Alexander CHOPS again, but Hangman CHOPS back! And CHOPS, CHOPS, CHOPS! Alicia notes they are in action against the AEW World Tag Team Champions, The Hurt Syndicate, but last week- Darius stops Alicia there and says, “Last week,” only for Dante to explode and shout at MJF! You think they’re playing around with MJF’s “dirty, grimy lawn gnome lookin’ ass?!” If MJF wants to stick his nose in their business, Dante will bite that nose clean off! Darius cools Dante down, and tells Max he’ll get what’s coming. But speaking of business, MJF wasn’t the one Top Flight wanted. “Hurt Syndicate, we’ll keep it real and plain simple: We. Want. Those. Titles.”
They might underestimate Top Flight now, but all it takes is three seconds and we’ll see NEW tag team champions! Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara walk over, and The Natural says he likes the sound of that. Just remember something: people will underestimate you, but that is your fuel, that is your fire to prove them wrong. The Sons of Texas will be watching, and they wish Top Flight luck. The One & Only swaggers around with the prosthetic leg he stole from the former WWE superstar. Will this be Ricochet’s newest trophy he never truly earned? Or will Zach prove that the one legged man in an ass kicking contest can still win?
The bell rings and the fans rally for Zach. Ricochet dares Zach to come tie up in a test of strength but the fans boo as Ricochet shows off what he can do with two legs. Zach rolls, has a three point stance, and Ricochet is wary. The two approach, tie up, and Zach arm-drags! The fans cheer while Ricochet is already frustrated. The two reset, circle, and Ricochet is upset that Zach isn’t standing up. Zach rolls, then gallops around but Ricochet doesn’t like that! Ricochet bails out but the fans fire up! Ricochet gets mad, runs up, but Zach avoids the leg sweep! Zach then WRECKS Ricochet with a one-leg dropkick! And then the PLANCHA!
The fans fire up and Zach high-fives the front row. Zach hops after Ricochet, headlocks, and shines up that bald head! The fans cheer, and Zach SMACKS Ricochet on the head! Zach high-fives his kids, but then Ricochet RAMS him into railing! The fans boo but Ricochet drags Zach up. Ricochet taunts Zach’s family before he ROCKS Zach. Renee Paquette is with the Scumbag, and says he has been trying to prove himself week in and week out that he, too, can hurt people. What will he do if he does get that approval from The Hurt Syndicate here tonight? MJF says that is an incredibly intelligent question. First time for everything, right? MJF says that for 406 consecutive days, he was THE AEW World Champion. And that meant that for 406 consecutive days, no matter how much the fans hated his guts, they had no choice but to admit he was the greatest wrestler on God’s green earth. See, he wants that title back, but the landscape has changed ever since he got screwed out of the Triple B.
To be All Elite means more now than it ever has. This roster is stacked from top to bottom. And if there is one thing everyone knows about MJF is that he doesn’t like to work hard. If he has to wrestle, he doesn’t wanna do it unless he knows he’s gonna win. MJF does not like variables. So if he is part of the Hurt Syndicate, if he gets to be part of a four-headed dragon that is MJF, MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and yes, even “Bob,” they will be unstoppable. And MJF becoming a two-time champion will no longer be a possibility, it will become an inevitability. Thank you for your time, Renee.

Darius then sets up for Dante, POETRY IN FLIGHT! Lashley falls off the apron and the fans fire up. Dante then PLANCHAS, but Lashley catches him! Darius DIVES to topple them over! Darius hurries and BOOTS Shelton! Dante goes up while Darius hits a step-in FLATLINER! Dante adds his MAMBA SPLASH! Cover, TWO!! Shelton survives and the fans rally. MVP tells Lashley to stop playing with his food, so Lashley runs and RAMS into Darius at the corner! And then he turns Darius for a NECKBREAKER! Tag to Shelton, and he stays between Darius and his corner. GERMAN SUPLEX! Darius tumbles, Shelton stalks him, and he GERMAN SUPLEXES again! Darius sputters but Shelton paces. Top Flight just crashed ‘n’ burned, and Lashley is not done with Dante until Dante’s red int he face! But wait! The Sons of Texas storm out here! Dustin tells Lashley he won, just let him go already! Lashley drops Dante, and Dustin asks if Lashley thinks he’s a badass for something? Not to Dustin! Lashley just looks like a punk b*tch! Why not pick on someone his own size? MVP has a mic to say, “Look what we have here! The Natural, Dustin Rhodes!” MVP tells Dustin that they go back a long ways, there’s a lot of respect here for Dustin, as well as his father, Dusty, who MVP was very close to. As a result of that respect, “these two killers” aren’t going to leave Dustin & Sammy in a pool of blood.
MVP tells Dustin to get to the point of why he’s out here. What does he want? Dustin tells P that since they’re about business, here’s the deal. We can all see the ROH Tag titles around their waists. It is obvious what they want. But wait, CRU makes their way out here. Lio Rush & Action Andretti have mics, and Lio says, “Man… Well, look what we have over here.” Action says it looks like an old man and his little buddy are out here trying to be heroes. Check it, time to get to stepping, Gramps. And Sammy, you should follow Gramps before Cru sends you home with a rearranged face to his beautiful little daughter.
The fans tell CRU to STFU, but Lio just smiles. Lio says, “What’s up, Chicago? Listen, Gramps, Sammy, we don’t mean no disrespect, but we came out here because we got a little bit of old business in the ring over there. Listen, we been coming out here week after week, scouting the tag team competition, and y’all over there, we beat Top Flight. So, uh, hey, Bobby! What’s up, Bobby? How about you respect what we got in our past, and we get a little tag team title shot for CRU?” Dustin says one, Lio won’t cut in line. Two, they’ll learn some respect for their elders, “you stupid son of a b*tch!” The fans fire up for that!
MVP says alright, enough! Enough of this! As Dustin alluded to earlier, MVP is a businessman, but he has other business to attend to. Here is his resolution: Take this little bruhaha to Collision, fight it out, and the winners get a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championships for Double or Nothing. And with that, the producers are saying we’ve got 30 seconds before commercial break. So please, viewers at home, join us as MJF will be in the ring after the break, “and he’s going to get what he deserves.” MVP’s message is ominous, but will this be the last time the Hurt Syndicate has to worry about the Wolf of Wrestling sniffing around them?

MVP still has the mic to say, “It’s time. Time for MJF to get what’s coming to him. MJF, get your ass out here right now.” MJF’s music hits, but he does not make his way out here. MVP says MJF has apparently gotten lost on the way to the ring, so he asks Shelton to go help MJF. Shelton goes to the back, and MVP says MJF has asked for this. Tonight is his night. Shelton finds Tony Khan and Jerry Lynn at gorilla and asks where MJF went. TK gives MJF up! MJF is hiding behind them! MJF says he was looking all over for Shelton! Shelton says come with him. Right, yes, absolutely! MJF reluctantly goes to the stage and the fans cheer.
Shelton pats MJF on the shoulder and MVP tells MJF to get a move on, they’re wasting valuable time. MJF reluctantly goes to the ring while fans sing, “We Hurt~ People!” MVP says, “Let’s go, Maxwell.” Shelton ushers MJF into the ring, and MVP says, “Well, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, this is your moment of reckoning, and you asked for this, so I hope you’re ready.” MVP looks to the Syndicate and says they had their discussion. Renee congratulates them on MJF officially being accepted into the Hurt Syndicate. How is he feeling right now? MJF says he is feeling great! He hurts people! He won the lottery! Now just to get his lawyer, Mark Sterling, to go over the contract, and everything is fine. Wait, MJF’s lawyer? Yeah, just one second. MJF calls “Smart Mark” over, and Mark says hi, he’s glad to finally meet MVP. MVP refuses the handshake and MJF tells Mark to just take a quick walk. Mark leaves and MJF asks MVP what’s wrong. MVP asks why MJF needs his lawyer on this. MJF says this is just business. Would MVP ever sign a contract without having a lawyer look it over?
MVP says no, he wouldn’t. He understands it’s just business. They shake hands and MJF says let’s go! They head out together, will Sterling help them iron out all the details?
Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuiness are in the ring.
Schiavone welcomes us and introduces his commentary partner for Collision. Schiavone brings up last week, the special Thursday Night Collision, how things got out of hand near the end of the program. Nigel got involved, and he still has something on his mind, so the floor is his. Nigel says he’ll make this nice and quick. First, he apologizes to Schiavone, because he ended up doing exactly what he told Schiavone not to do, and that was get in the ring as an announcer. The other person Nigel needs to apologize to is Daniel Garcia. Chicago cheers as Garcia makes his entrance and joins the others in the ring.
Nigel tells Garcia that we all saw what happened last week. Nigel let his ego get the better of him as he let Dax Harwood goad him into interrupting that match, which cost Garcia the win. From the bottom of his heart, Nigel apologizes. He realized his place is beside Schiavone at the desk, not in this ring. Garcia tells Nigel that he can keep the apology to himself. Oh? Garcia says he did what Nigel was supposed to do. FTR disrespected him, and Nigel stood up for himself. The fans cheer that! Garcia says FTR tried to end Garcia’s career, tried to end Adam Copeland’s career, and if given the opportunity, they’d try to end Nigel’s career, too.
Garcia says the thing is, he will fight FTR regardless, with or without help. So Nigel could turn his back on Garcia, act like he’s no longer a wrestler, go back to the desk, but Garcia is going to fight with or without Nigel. But it’d be an absolute honor for Nigel to fight FTR with Garcia! But then Stokely Hathaway walks out here, and says, “I cannot believe what I am seeing: Two burnouts glazing each other over which is the bigger disappointment.” The fans boo but #BigStoke says FTR is NOT here tonight. But as their agent, he is here to speak on their behalf. Nigel, what you did last week was reprehensible and egregious!
Nigel almost broke Dax’s jaw, and he just about separated Cash’s shoulder. So Nigel, Stoke must ask, “What the hell is your problem?!” Nigel says, “What’s my problem? I guess my problem, Strokely, is when someone puts their hands on me, I put my hands back on them. So I guess for that, I’m so, so sorry.” Stokely mocks Nigel with an, “I’m sorry, mate! Aw… Guess what, Nigel? That apology does nothing for us. You put your hands on FTR. And you should know that when you do something bad, Nigel, there are repercussions and consequences. Dax, Cash and I, we had a little pow wow. And we decided what your punishment should be.
“Your punishment should be getting in the ring with the greatest tag team alive today, F T R! In an official match! Because in that match, they can’t be suspended, they can’t be fined, they can’t be held accountable for what they do to you and what they do to Danny Boy over here.” Garcia smirks but Nigel says, “Well, I guess that’s exactly why I don’t wanna wrestle them. I mean, let’s be honest. They’re ten-time world tag team champions. And look, no disrespect to you, Danny, but we barely had a conversation. If I’m honest, they’d kill us.” Garcia takes the mic to say Nigel is right. FTR might kill them, they might.

And so how about they give the people something they never thought they’d see: Nigel McGuinness teaming with Daniel Garcia against FTR!! The fans cheer and Stokely says y’know what? Swerve says Double or Nothing, Phoenix, Arizona, it will be ANARCHY IN THE ARENA!!! The fans are thunderous as now, Swerve will stand with Omega, Hobbs, Samoa Joe and Willow Nightingale against whatever combination the Elite and Death Riders wanna throw at them! Who will win and who will survive when AEW goes Double or Nothing?
My Thoughts:
A great Dynamite for Beach Break, both setting up things for Collision as well as Double or Nothing. Great tag team opener from Ospreay and Hangman with Konosuke and Alexander. I do like that the Faces came very close to the cliche miscommunication collision, but then they still made it work to win. At least until the Callis Family tried to beat them up after and then came the misunderstanding. The heat in that match got turned up a bit, that’ll be an awesome Men’s Owen Hart Cup finals, can’t wait to see who wins.
Great match from Ricochet VS Zach, namely in how Zach showed he can still go even with one leg. But I figured Ricochet would win and then go overboard to beat up on Zach. Good save from Mark Briscoe, and maybe Briscoe VS Ricochet will be on Double or Nothing, but it feels more like a match for TV. Honestly, what happened to building anything towards a TNT Championship match for Adam Cole? Sammy Guevara won that big money Fatal 4 Way but then proceeded to call out Cole, only for Sammy and Dustin to now pivot into a thing for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
Good promo from Top Flight to get heated, and good part for Dustin & Sammy to play encouraging Darius & Dante. Great match from Top Flight VS Hurt Syndicate, but I figured the Hurt Syndicate would win. I appreciate the blatant swerve they were pulling on MJF. MJF thought he was gonna get beat up but then Lashley gives him the thumbs up, and now MJF is officially AEW’s Sami Zayn in The Bloodline or Owen Hart in the Nation of Domination. And I also appreciate this got Mark Sterling back on TV. There will surely be continued tension until MJF can actually get himself a title shot.
As for the Sons of Texas, good promo to set up a contenders match, but they’re of course going to beat CRU. Lio & Action continue to be chihuahuas barking at bigger dogs. At the same time, Dustin & Sammy winning to face Lashley & Shelton, they could put both AEW & ROH tag titles on the line. The problem there is, if Lashley & Shelton win, that tanks the ROH Tag Division because Lashley & Shelton aren’t ever showing up on Honor Club. A silver lining might be that Sammy and Dustin break up so Sammy can actually follow through on that TNT Championship feud tease. Well, that’d probably mean Sammy finally turns on Dustin but it feels too late to matter.
Great promo from Nigel and Garcia with Stokely, and of course FTR were secretly in the building. Menard makes a great save, and now we’ll get a great tag match of FTR VS Nigel & Garcia. This could still give us Cope’s return, but I bet Nigel gets to look great even in a losing effort. Awesome Fatal 4 Way match, and that was a great way for Mina to win in her return to AEW. Toni VS Mina for Double or Nothing will be great, but I feel Toni will retain. Mone going after AZM was fitting, and it also gave Hayter a reason to go after Mone. Mone VS Hayter could still be up in the air, so next week’s go-home episodes will really be telling.
And of course, a great main event with the steel cage, but I just knew Moxley would win thanks to interference. But is it just me or are ropebreaks in cage matches dumb? If this is a No Escape style cage match, then ropebreaks don’t mean anything cuz there’s no “out of bounds.” Joe really should’ve kept that crossface until Moxley passed out. And even then, it makes no sense why Gabe Kidd would help Moxley. I thought Gabe hated Mox and hated the Bucks. I guess there can be some nonsense about how after Resurgence, The Bucks talked things over with the War Dogs and got Gabe to agree to this, but it seems like they just needed someone to substitute for Pac right now.
And it sounds like they’re giving us the first ever mixed Anarchy in the Arena. It works just fine, because for one, it is obviously No DQ. Secondly, Willow and Marina can easily brawl off somewhere on their own, just as we’ve seen all these Anarchy in the Arena matches go. Also, Speedball going after Okada, that’s gotta be a Continental Championship match. Okada probably still finds a way to win, but Speedball can really push Okada to his limits.
