Sensing the change in the audience as the cheered more for Austin than traditional babyface like Bret Hart WWE pulled off the single best double turn in wrestling. Featuring the instantly iconic image of Austin’s bloody face as he refuses to give up.

6. Breaking his Neck

One of the hardest moments in wrestling to watch.  The moment when Owen Hart lifted Austin up for a sit out tombstone, but Austin’s head was too low driving his head into the mat.

What a lot of people forget that this was actually a really good match up until that moment and was a kiss my ass match. To his credit Austin finished the match with what he called the worst roll up of all time. Not only was he thankfully not paralyised but he was able to walk to the back. Austins neck would continue to bother him for years and would force him to change his wrestling style. It could have been a lot worse and if had we wouldn’t have gotten our next moment.
