NXT UK Women’s Championship Tournament Semifinals: Dakota Kai VS Rhea Ripley!

The Captain of Team Kick has done rather well in being a crossover superstar between the UK and the US. But she’ll have to be ready to surf the Riptide tonight. Can Dakota keep her head above water? Or will Rhea rip away Dakota’s championship aspirations on this side of the pond?

The bell rings, and fans chant for “DK!” Dakota and Rhea circle, and Rhea calls for a test of strength. But then she pulls back when the fans tease her with singing. Rhea calls for the challenge again, and Dakota approaches. They tie up with the knuckle locks, but Rhea clearly has the advantage. She bends Dakota back and to the mat, ONE as Dakota gets a shoulder up. Rhea shoves it back down, ONE as the other comes up. Rhea shoves the shoulder back down, ONE as Dakota bridges. But Dakota can’t bridge through the knee drop, ONE as she kicks out. Dakota reverses the wrist locks but Rhea picks her up and puts her in the corner. Rhea puts Dakota on the top rope, then pats the shorter superstar’s head. Then pie faces her! So Dakota kicks Rhea in the face!

Dakota gets moving but Rhea follows, but Dakota sits on the roll up. ONE as Rhea sunset flips, ONE as Dakota rolls it back. TWO but it was close. Dakota points that out but Rhea is frustrated. Rhea shoves Dakota, Dakota shoves back. Dakota dodges Rhea’s dropkick then runs and redirects Rhea to dropkick her! Dakota gets a waistlock but Rhea standing switches. Rhea throws Dakota around with the rear bearhug, but Dakota pops her off. Dakota runs and penalty kicks! Double stomps, covers, TWO! Rhea rolls away and out of the ring, but fans still rally for DK. Dakota goes to the apron, and gives Rhea another penalty kick! Then another! Rhea is rocked, Dakota puts her in. Dakota covers, TWO! Rhea crawls away but Dakota runs in. Rhea pushes Dakota back for a flapjack!

Dakota gets to a corner but Rhea drags her out for a cover, TWO! Rhea grows frustrated, and she chokes Dakota on the ropes. She backs off at 4, but goes after Dakota in a corner for big stomps. Dakota fights back but Rhea clubs her down. Rhea drags Dakota up, bounces her off the mat, then dropkicks her face! Cover, TWO, Rhea stomps Dakota more. Dakota crawls but Rhea stalks her to the corner. Fans rally but Rhea grinds her forearms into Dakota’s face. Rhea backs off at 4, then drags her up. Dakota fights back with body shots, but Rhea clubs her again. Rhea hammers Dakota to the mat, then throws forearm from all sides. Rhea steps on Dakota and flexes, but stops at 4. She drags Dakota up and bounces her off buckles. She rams her shoulder into Dakota again and again but stops at 4.

Rhea drags Dakota up again, but fans rally up. Dakota fights out of the stalling suplex and rolls Rhea! TWO, and Rhea rocks Dakota with a dropkick. Cover, TWO! Fans fire up for Dakota again but Rhea puts on the inverted cloverleaf. Rhea wrenches those knees as Dakota endures. Fans rally and Dakota feeds off the energy to reach for ropes. Rhea drags Dakota away, and Dakota has to endure more. Dakota keeps going forward and fans continue to chant. She gets the ropebreak! Rhea lets go at 3, then drags Dakota away from ropes. She kicks Dakota while she’s down, and wants the hold again. Dakota kicks and kicks and shoves Rhea to ropes! Dakota gets up but Rhea is on her. Scorpion kick! Dakota fires forearms, and another scorpion kick! Then a dropkick puts Rhea in a corner!

Dakota goes side to side, for the wash! Dakota fires up as she goes Around the World! Rhea is staggered, Dakota pushes her down for a cover, TWO! Rhea survives and gets out of the ring. Dakota pursues from the apron, but Rhea blocks the penalty kick. Electric chair, face on the apron! Rhea covers, TWO!! Rhea is shocked, but fans are fired up for Dakota. Dakota sits up but Rhea is on her. Rhea shouts, “You really think you’re gonna beat me again?”, in reference to the inaugural Mae Young Classic. Dakota chops Rhea, then throws palm strikes! She kicks, runs, Kai-ropractor denied, Rhea forearms and pumphandles. Dakota escapes Riptide to roll Rhea up, TWO! Roundhouse rocks Rhea, and Dakota kicks and kicks and kicks her face! Rhea ducks the roundhouse, Riptide!! Cover, Rhea wins!!

Winner: Rhea Ripley, by pinfall; advances to the finals

The Aussie with an Attitude makes it through, and is now one match away from the title! But will it be the Fashionista or the Lightning that she faces in the next round?

Sid Scala finishes talking with Johnny Saint.

The underdog asked the NXT UK GM for an opportunity, and he has it. Sid’s not cleared to compete now, but if he is in a couple weeks (episode 12), he has a match with Joe Coffey! The Iron King of Scotland? Is he going to be ready for this? It’s a big opportunity against a big man, but Sid hopes to make the best of it. Is this an opportunity or a death wish?

Backstage interview with Jordan Devlin.

The still undefeated Iron Irishman just conquered the Leeds Luchador, and then called out The Bruiserweight. Devlin didn’t just defeat Ligero but he brutalized him, solidifying his place in NXT UK as the unofficial number one contender. Dunne has been the WWE UK Champion for over 450 days, but he’s only defended against Mark Andrews or Tyler Bate. “Those lads are pathetic.” They’re not as ruthless or cunning as Devlin. When Devlin gets Dunne in the ring, and not if but WHEN his hand is raised as the new UK Champion, there’s gonna be some changes around here. First on Devlin’s list, changing the show’s name to NXT Ireland, featuring The UK. Bold words from a bold man, will Devlin make good on his promise to his nation?

Johnny Saint later tweets out that he’s heard Devlin’s words, and seen Devlin’s impressive victories. Devlin wants Dunne, and he gets him next week (episode 11), with the title on the line! Will the dream of rebranding become reality? Or will The Bruiserweight keeps his impressive reign going?

Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews VS Joseph Conners & Saxon Huxley!

The Modfather and Rockstar felt the tag chemistry between them against the Coffey Brothers and Wolfgang, though they did lose. As for the Righteous and the Muscle Cat, they did much better against Amir Jordan & Kenny Williams. However, the NXT UK Tag Team Division is still young, is there time before the tag titles arrive to prove true tag team superiority?

Fans chant for “Tarzan Jesus!” as Huxley starts against Flash. The bell rings and the two circle. Flash and Saxon tie up, and fans sing for “Hey~ Jesus! Hoo, hah! I wanna know~, if you’ll be my God.” Saxon puts Flash in a corner with a shove but Flash slips out and shoulders back in. Flash slingshots for a sunset, but Saxon blocks. Saxon drags Flash up but Flash evades and tilt-o-whirls away. Flash boots Saxon away from the corner then hops up, flying headscissors! Saxon runs into a dropkick, Conners tags in. Conners runs into an arm-drag, but gets up. Andrews tags in and whips Conners with Flash. They double hip toss, then combine imploding splash with moonsault! Cover, ONE, but Andrews keeps on Conners in a corner.

Andrews whips corner to corner, but Conners reverses. Andrews goes up and over then wheelbarrows to stomps! Cover, ONE, and Conners gets to ropes. Conners puts Andrews on the ropes but backs off at 4. The ref doesn’t see Saxon shove Andrews, and Conners attacks in the distraction. Andrews dodges it and chops away! He whips but Saxon tags in. Conners reverse, Saxon hits a big Thesz Press! Cover, TWO! Fans rally as Saxon stomps Andrews around. Saxon drags Andrews up, to scoop and slam. Tag to Conners, and he drives elbows into Andrews at the corner. Conners drags Andrews up and goes after the ear! He stops at 4, but reels Andrews in for a clothesline! Cover, TWO! Andrews crawls but Conners blocks his path to Flash. Conners drags Andrews up and carries him to his corner. Tag to Saxon, and Saxon mugs Andrews.

Saxon brings Andrews around for an armlock, and grinds an elbow into Andrews’ shoulder. Fans rally up and Andrews fights up. Saxon throws Andrews down, but Andrews hits back. Saxon stomps away, then tags Conners. Conners drags Andrews around to stomp, then back up around for clubbing forearms. Conners keeps Andrews from getting to Flash, but Andrews uses a jawbreaker! Andrews reaches but Conners gets his legs. Andrews shoves Conners away but Saxon tags away. Saxon puts Andrews in a corner but misses. Andrews dodges again, tag to Flash! Flash rallies with furious hands! He gets Conners with a knee, but Saxon puts him in a corner. Flash goes up and over and runs, redirects, springboard into the Rude Boy Block!

Flash keeps going, and double underhooks Saxon. Saxon powers him out onto the apron. Flash kicks Saxon back, but Conners rushes over. Conners misses the sweep, Flash hits him with a cannonball! Flash hurries back up after Saxon, flying crossbody is caught! Fireman’s carry and drop! Conners wants in, but Saxon says he has this. But Flash gets away, tag to Andrews! Flash fakes Saxon out with high hands, to give a headbutt! Andrews hurries up top, Flash tilt-o-whirl DDT’s, Andrews Shooting Star! Cover, Flash & Andrews win!

Winners: Flash Morgan Webster & Mark Andrews, Andrews pinning

Their first time out is a success! Can this high-flying, fun-loving combination take the tag division by storm and rock those tag titles?

As for Conners, he turns on Saxon! Fans are on Tarzan Jesus’ side, but it doesn’t matter as Conners drags him up for Don’t Look Down! Fans say “You’re a Sinner!” but Conners already knows he’s a Righteous Killer. Will Conners turn away from tag team wrestling to go straight for the top title?

Dave Mastiff VS Tyson T-Bone!

We saw these two raring for a fight last time, and now they have it! Will the King of Travelers get the competition he’s looking for? Or is The Bomber more than he bargained for?

The bell rings and T-Bone dances around Mastiff. He sticks and moves with a quick jab, but Mastiff barely feels it. T-Bone gets in more shots and Mastiff felt that nose shot. But then T-Bone feels Mastiff run him over with that shoulder! Mastiff grins as T-Bone gets to a corner. Mastiff lets T-Bone stand, and they go again. T-Bone tries to punch but is put back in the corner. Mastiff wants to whip but T-Bone holds onto ropes. T-Bone then turns things around and gets big shots in, both punches and stomps! He stops at 4 but gets one more shot in. He kicks low then clubs Mastiff down. T-Bone kicks and drops an elbow and Mastiff is on the mat for the first time.

T-Bone rains rights, then covers, ONE! Mastiff is up but T-Bone stays on him with a neck wrench. T-Bone pulls beard hair and the ref reprimands him. T-Bone lets up to keep on the neck wrench. Fans rally up and Mastiff feeds off the energy. T-Bone wrenches hard, but Mastiff endures. Mastiff powers his way up and T-Bone grows worried. T-Bone throws more hands and brings Mastiff back down for more neck wrenching. Fans continue to rally as Mastiff endures again. Mastiff stands again, and bearhugs T-Bone! T-Bone ear claps and throws haymakers, but his back is hurting. Mastiff gets T-Bone up, T-Bone sunset flips, but Mastiff sits on him! T-Bone is flattened but Mastiff can’t keep the cover. Both men are down as a ten count begins. Fans rally again, and T-Bone stands. Mastiff follows, and builds speed for a BIG crossbody!

Mastiff is up again, and stalks T-Bone to ropes. T-Bone staggers up, and Mastiff shows off his punching power! And a headbutt! Mastiff brings T-Bone around, to ram elbow after elbow into the shoulders and jaw! T-Bone crawls but Mastiff has him for a German Suplex! T-Bone ends up in a corner, and Mastiff runs corner to corner, BOMBER CANNONBALL! Cover, Mastiff wins!

Winner: Dave Mastiff, by pinfall

It wasn’t pretty but it was gritty. T-Bone got that stronger competition, and that stronger competition won. Can Big Dave use this momentum to steamroll towards a title shot? Can T-Bone make a recovery to try again?

NXT UK Women’s Championship Tournament Semifinals: Jinny VS Toni Storm!

Whether it’s the Lightning from Down Under or the Fierce Fashionista, The Mosh Pit Kid, Rhea Ripley, waits for the winner in the finals. How will the finals of this historic tournament take form after tonight?

The bell rings and fans sing for Storm. Toni and Jinny tie up and go around and around the ring. Jinny puts Toni in the corner, but backs off at 4. They circle again and tie up. Fans still sing for Toni as she and Jinny go around again. Jinny arm-drags but Toni holds on. They break as fans chant “Aussie Aussie Aussie! OI OI OI!” Toni and Jinny tie up again, and Toni gets a waistlock. Jinny resists as Toni lifts. Jinny breaks free to get a wristlock. She brings Toni down, but Toni gets up. Fans rally as Toni gets a headlock and takeover. Jinny endures the wrenching and rolls Toni over. TWO as Toni lets go. Toni goes after the facelock, but Jinny works her way out of that, back to a wristlock. Toni spins, bridges, rolls and reverses! Jinny endures as Toni wrenches more.

Jinny spins and throws a big forearm. Toni is rocked, and Jinny brings her in for a headlock. Toni powers out and things speed up, Toni boots Jinny down! Cover, TWO! Toni goes after the legs, for a deathlock STF! Fans chant for Jinny to tap but Jinny endures. Jinny works against the hold but Toni wrenches back hard. Jinny comes close, but grabs Toni’s hair. Toni wrenches Jinny more, but Jinny crawls for ropes. Toni rocks back and forth, but Jinny gets the ropebreak. The ref counts and Toni lets Jinny go, but with stomps! Toni stomps Jinny to a corner, then drags her up for big EuroUppers. Fans fire up with Toni as she runs in, but Jinny boots her away! Jinny gets Toni with the Japanese arm-drag, into buckles! Cover, TWO! Toni gets to the corner, but Jinny stomps a fashionable mudhole into her.

Fans rally up but Jinny keeps on Toni with a double chop. Jinny stomps another mudhole into Toni in another corner. She stops at 4, but whips Toni corner to corner. Toni falls short and face first. Jinny is on her with more stomps, then drags Toni up. Snap suplex and float over, TWO! Jinny grows frustrated, but she puts Toni in an armlock with chinbar. Jinny thrashes Toni around as fans rally up. Toni gets up but Jinny throws her down by her hair. Cover, ONE! Jinny seethes as she clubs away on Toni’s back. “This is MY NXT!” Jinny goes back to the armlock and chinbar, but fans rally up again. Toni fights her way back up, and arm-drags Jinny off! Jinny fires off strikes, but Jinny chops! Toni headbutts, they both go down!

Fans fire up and chant for “NXT! NXT!” Then fans rally up as the two stir. Jinny is on Toni with a forearm. Toni throws a forearm back. Jinny hits, Toni hits. They brawl to their feet, back and forth. Toni gets the edge, then blocks Jinny’s kick, for a trapped-leg German! Jinny crawls to a corner and Toni fires up. Toni runs in, big hip attack! Then Perfect Plex! Cover, TWO!! Jinny survives but Toni isn’t stopping. Toni climbs up, but Jinny stops her with a high roundhouse! Jinny climbs but Toni headbutts her away. Jinny hits back, then climbs up. Toni forearms Jinny and sends her down with another headbutt. But Jinny dropkicks Toni’s legs out, then hits a draping facebuster! Cover, TWO!! Toni survives and Jinny is at a loss for words.

Jinny rains down rights on Toni, then drags her up. Jinny slaps Toni, then reels her out, but Toni dodges and underhooks. But Storm Zero is denied by Jinny’s rolling ax kick! Cover, ROPEBREAK! Jinny is furious, and she stomps away on Toni. Fans sing for Toni as Jinny runs in. Toni goes up and over, gets Jinny with the German! Then STORM ZERO! Cover, Toni wins!!

Winner: Toni Storm, by pinfall; advances to the finals

The Mae Young Classic winner is in another tournament finals! She will face Rhea Ripley for the right to be the inaugural NXT UK Women’s Champion! Will Toni win yet another historic women’s tournament? Or will Rhea show that not even the Storm can weather the Riptide?

Johnny Saint comes out to congratulate Storm, but Rhea Ripley appears to look her finals opponent in the eye. And then shoves her! Saint keeps the peace, but it’s only a matter of time before it’s Aussie VS Aussie! Which rock ‘n’ roller will rock the other, and hold that title belt up high?

My Thoughts:

Another great pair of episodes for NXT UK. The NXT UK Women’s Championship was a major part of both, and all the matches were pretty great. Rhea was naturally impressive against Xia Brookside and Dakota Kai, and taking her run in the Mae Young Classic into consideration, it makes sense she’s one half of the finals. And it’s also natural for Toni Storm to be in the finals given she won the MYC, though that was decided after all this was taped. Toni VS Rhea is going to be great, and obviously having the title match happening means we’re almost caught up with NXT UK’s backlog.

Eddie Dennis is doing pretty good for himself. His first feud seems to be with Ashton Smith, which is just fine for both of them. Dennis is very experienced and Smith is very talented, these two can give us a good match. Mastiff VS T-Bone was also pretty great, and it makes a lot of sense for Mastiff to win. He’s literally bigger and seemingly stronger, and we can’t have too many Heels accomplishing win streaks at once so the Face Mastiff needed this win here. Andrews wins both in singles and tag team action, he and Webster make for a good mid-card tag team. Wolfgang and The Coffey Brothers are also continuing to wreak havoc, but I’m surprised we didn’t get some kind of response promo from Pete Dunne about things. I wonder if NXT America will this week, since it’ll just be their post-TakeOver episode.

Speaking of Pete Dunne, episode 11 is going to be great with another UK Championship match. Devlin is looking strong, such as in his win against Ligero. Dunne VS Devlin should hopefully end clean before the Scottish trio decides to go after Dunne. And as such, I’m expecting Dunne to win but with Devlin looking as strong as any of Dunne’s recent challengers. Then Dunne can spend some time on NXT UK as British Strong Style goes up against Wolfgang & The Coffey Brothers.

My Score(s): Episode 9 – 8.5/10; Episode 10 – 8.7/10

Andrew’s TNA iMPACT! Results & Match Ratings: 4.3.2025

The first episode under the new regime, let’s see how bad it is.

Published

on

Well this is the first episode with the new regime, and I’m not looking forward to it. I’m expecting a car crash, because Delirious is worthless, Dreamer is hit or miss at the best, and no one else has a proven track record at having a brain. So I expect pure garbage.

Let’s see if I get surprised!

Ratings:

  • #1 Contender Match: Elijah vs Frankie Kazarian: Kaz wins via Cradle – N/A
  • Spitfire vs Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend: Jakara wins via M-KO – ** 1/2
  • Hardy Boyz vs Great Hands w/Tasha Steelz: Jeff wins via Swanton Bomb – ** 1/4
  • Tessa Blanchard, Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx w/Fallon Henley vs Lei Ying Lee, Xia Brookside & Masha Slamovich: Tessa wins via Buzzsaw DDT – ***

Results:

We lead off with Joe Hendry music because he’s on commentary during the Elijah versus Kaz match.

#1 Contender Match: Elijah vs Frankie Kazarian

We start off with Kaz sticking and moving to dodge Elijah, but he eventually catches him and goes to the Rope Walk quickly and pulls it off. Elijah tries to go into a Piledriver or something but Kaz slips it and pulls down Elijah with the slip. They go to the outside, Kaz throws Elijah into the post, then slaps Hendry, shoving match starts, Kaz charges and Hendry lifts but Kaz slips out the back and shoves Hendry into Elijah…the ref lets it slide. So Kaz throws in Elijah and a quick cradle gives Kaz the opportunistic win.

Post Match Hendry just goes crazy on Kaz, security pull apart spot, even Elijah pulls off Hendry and calms him down. Elijah playing the long game, not even arguing that Hendry cost him. The match didn’t have enough substance to rate, it was purely a plot device and a little convoluted.

Backstage segment of Hendry with the Doctor, Hendry apparently messed up his shoulder in the scuffle…so…that’s something.

System Ultimatum time is next. The crowd is booing the hell out of Eddie, and it’s a real reaction not go away heat or anything, Eddie plays in it well enough. Lish leads the way and wants to do the Planteer pose, but the rest just walk past her and she seems annoyed, while these others seem somber. This was going the way we expected with everyone sticking around. We finally get to Moose and doofus Deaner’s music hits. Deaner tries to get the crowd to rally around Moose resigning from The System. Moose says the People are right, but then beats the hell out of Deaner. They do the Planeteer pose over the corpse of Deaner. Hopefully we never see that dork again, just let him go be a jobber in Maple Leaf Pro.

Spitfire vs Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend

Jakara starts with Dani, a quick tie up, but Jakara strikes out of it, Arm Drag sends Dani flying, but Dani stops Jakara’s next attempts at offense, tags in Jody and a tandem moment rocks Jakara. Jody tags back out and Lash tags in, so it’s power and booty versus power and booty. Shoulder Tackle spot and Lash gets the best of it, Dani holds on to the ropes to stop the Whip recoil, Jody with the blind tag, they try to team up but Lash fights out of both. Jody goes Spider Monkey and tries to choke out Lash but Lash just walks her back to Jakara and tags out. Jakara is rolling until Jody holds the ropes and watches Jakara crash and burn on a Dropkick. Probably the best I’ve seen that spot in a long time. Dani tags in, they try the Scoop Slam tandem attack on Jakara, but Jakara moves and Dani just slams Jody into the mat.

Lash gets tagged in and starts to maul Dani. A little rotating offense keeping Dani isolated. Dani tries to find an opening but she’s eating move after move, they go for the Tandem Wheelbarrow Slam, but Dani gets the knees up. Dani finally gets a chance to tag out, Jody starts working over both Lash and Jakara. Stacks them in the corner to do her 10 Count Lariats, Exploder Suplex into rope hung Double Knees. Jody wants the German but Lash tries to stop it. Jody fights off Lash, manages a Stalling Jackhammer on Jakara, but Lash does manage to break up the pin. All four are in the ring, Dani gets tosses, Straight Right from Lash clocks Jody. Jakara flies to wipe out Dani, they look for the M-KO but Jody fights it off. Jody throwing Chops on both, it starts to look stupid, Jody tries to fire and Lash wants to clock her with the Forearm during the stall but hits Jakara.

Crossbody from Jody, Lash catches her, M-KO. Meta Girls win.

Oh great more talking, now the Hardyz are out to talk and Matt gives a decent but basic promo that goes into a bit of Broken just for the cheap pop. Jeff pokes fun at the “best brother tag team” joke from last week. If they weren’t The Hardyz the crowd wouldn’t care. Oh speaking of not caring, the Great Hands and snackalicious Tasha Steelz interrupt. Great Hands want to fight, Hardyz are okay with it of course, then Santino comes out. He says after the commercial Great Hams vs Hard Boys is on!

Hardy Boyz vs Great Hands w/Tasha Steelz

Hotch is getting worked over by both Hardys, a little classic tandem offense, an early pinfall, but Hotch claws the eyes and tags in Skyler. Skyler’s advantage last like 12 seconds, he tags Jeff, Rocket Launcher into the middle rope with a Leg Drop from Jeff. Jeff tries to Whisper in the Wind in the opposition corner like a dumbass, so Hotch crotches him, the Hands do the double crotch stomp as Jeff is in the Tree of Woe. Assisted offense, they try to perch Jeff, but Jeff fights them off and pulls off the best Whisper in a minute. Matt gets the hot tag, Scoop Slams, Delete Headsmashes, and a Side Effect on Hotch for fun. Matt wants the Twist on Skyler, Skyler counters, Jeff tags in, Poetry in Motion, Side Effect on Skyler and only a near fall.

Twist of Hate attempt, Hotch breaks it up, Matt takes out Hotch, Skyler almost pulls off the Flash upset with the Cradle. Plot Twist, Swanton, and Jeff wins.

Ryan Nemeth is in the back watching the match, has a few snarky things to say while wearing an LA Sparks jersey, Leon Slater and his lack of charisma in Birmingham accent shows up. Hates the WNBA obviously since he tries to push Ryan out of camera frame, and then they’ll prolly have a match at some point. At least Ryan has a gimmick that’s been amusing, but God is Leon Slater useless.

THEY HAVE AN INJURY REPORT SEGMENT – that’s soo damn corny. Never do this again, this is dumb as hell.

Oh great, more talking…SDL and Mance Warner. Where’s Keenan when I need someone to scream “WHY!?!”

This promo is complete shit, they even invent a bad magazine called TNA Weekly for this dumb thing. I hate this, and not in the “I wanna see them get beat up good heel work way”, I hate them because they’re useless, uninteresting and just saying dumb crap. When Santino comes out and effectively calls them stupid and cringe…that’s kind of a problem when the comedy character calls you dumb. THEY ARE REBRANDING THE BELT AGAIN! International Championship…ugh. Sami comes out to beat up Mance while Santino tries to wrestle the belt away from Steph. This is just cringe.

Mustafa Ali is doing great work. I’m a little mad this promo was buried in this awful episode.

Tessa Blanchard, Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx w/Fallon Henley vs Lei Ying Lee, Xia Brookside & Masha Slamovich

Tessa and Masha start, Masha shoots the half, rains down fists, Tessa kicks her off but Masha keeps up the aggression and forces Tessa to powder. Fatal Influence tries to come in, Xia and Lei dispatch them, Dual Baseball Slide take out the NXT girls, and a Middle Rope Plancha from Masha takes out Tessa as we go to commercial.

Back from commercial Lei Ying has Jacy in a grounded Arm Bar. A little hair pull makes Lei stand up, but she drops Jacy flat after a Round Kick, Low Sweep and then a Running Knee as she’s getting back up. A corner Down Strike has Lei rolling, but a blind tag from Jazmyn catches Lei by surprise and then she gets trapped in the heel corner. The Fatal Influence gals rotate in and out, all 3 take cheap shots, PK into a Senton for a near fall. Lei finally fights off the onslaught and gets Xia in. Xia is very fiery and angry, and now Jazmyn is getting her ass beat. Rosemary is in the audience to distract Xia a little but Xia still connects with Broken Wings and a near fall. Xia gets tripped up on the apron, Jacy gets tagged in and a PK drops Xia on the outside. Hard Irish Whip back in the ring and Cannonball from Jacy has Xia down and out. Jazmyn tags back in, and Xia tries to fire up, Monkey Flip but pulled away by Jacy, Xia tags out, Masha takes out both Fatal Influence members, goes for a pinfall but Tessa runs in with a head of steam to break the pinfall. All six are in for Signature spam spot. Spinning Heel kick from Masha, Fallon distracts on the outside, and Tessa takes advantage of all the chaos, Buzzsaw DDT and Tessa gets the pinfall victory.

Ethan Page interrupts Kaz’s promo at the end of the show. Claiming he should have the title shot since he pinned Joe in NXT. So the Rebellion match is Ethan Page versus Joe Hendry.

Overall Score: 1/10

The one point is for Mustafa’s promo and the main even being decent. But this was awful. Too much talking, an “Injury Report” like this is a real situation and not scripted, which is insulting, and YET AGAIN, a new name for the lower card title. Jesus Christ, stop renaming the damn belt. Legends/TV/King of the Mountain/Grand/Digital Media/International… just stop it. Stick to a name or stop doing a lower card belt. Also really lame that they keep trying to push Cardona as something important.

Kaz and Elijah’s thing is a stupid angle, The System firing was a giant cock tease and who the hell gives Eddie the power to call everyone to task? Mance and SDL are the worst thing on this show after Deaner’s existence. SDL has been a plague on TNA programming since wasting time with her “needs neck surgery” promo instead of a match. I do truly feel bad for Mustafa Ali’s promo being stuck on this pile of crap.

This was an episode that should’ve been an e-mail. Garbage effort, garbage stories, just straight up a waste of two hours. Even with the Ethan Page appearance, this episode was still worthless. Is it sad to say, I expected nothing and am still disappointed by this episode? Ugh… LOLTNA…

As The Frat House makes their entrance, Jacked Jameson is making the challenge for someone, anyone, to do sudden death beer pong. Jameson doesn’t think the fans are up to it, but The Natural & The Spanish God say bet. Jameson gives them the ping pong balls, then he and Preston Vance go outside the ring. Dustin & Sammy take aim, but then say “SUCK IT!” The Sons of Texas toss the balls, but Karter & Griff CLOBBER them from behind! The fans boo and the ref reprimands, but the bell rings! Karter swings on Sammy, Sammy ducks and GAMANGIRIS! Griff runs up, Sammy leaps over! Hot tag to Dustin! The fans fire up as Dustin rallies on Griff! Dustin whips, Griff reverses, but “Not Today!” UPPERCUT for Griff! Karter runs in, into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Griff runs in, into a SNAP POWERSLAM! Cover, Karter breaks it! The Frat House stays in this but Sammy slides back in. Sammy runs up, wrenches Karter, and hits a CUTTER!

The fans fire up, Griff runs at Sammy but Sammy puts him in the corner! Sammy RAMS into Griff, goes outside to ENZIGIRI, and Griff staggers. Sammy aims from the apron and the fans fire up. But Jameson & Vance are there, so Sammy ARIHARA MOONSAULTS them down! The fans fire up, Griff runs up, but Sammy ROCKS Griff first! Sammy springboards, FLYING CUTTER! And wait! The Dark Order is headed out here! They are very much upset with how The Frat House ruined their match last week, so Evil Uno & Alex Reynolds want to settle things with them! Vance & Jameson say fine, but then Dustin hits Griff with FINAL RECKONING! Tag to Sammy and he goes up for the SWANTON BOMB! Cover, Sons of Texas win!

Winners: Dustin Rhodes & Sammy Guevara, by pinfall (deny The Frat House a title opportunity)

Uno & Reynolds shrug, but they got their payback all the same. Dustin & Sammy hold up the belts and they point to the All In sign in the rafters. Will the Sons of Texas get to go All In in Texas?

The Premier Athletes w/ Mark Sterling VS The Outrunners!

Speaking of last week, Tony Nese & Ariya Daivari are feeling good after they won, but it was largely in part thanks to The Dark Order. “Smart” Mark has the mic to stop Bobby Cruise, he takes care of this. Everyone knows Daivari & Nese, “and folks, statistically, Milwaukee is actually the capital of deadbeat dads. But that’s okay, because we hate your kids, too. But tonight, they can for the first time ever, be part of a real winning family. And you can be part of our team. So when I say ‘Athletes,’ you say, ‘Rule.’ NOTHING ELSE. Hands in, boys. Ohhhh…! ATHLETES!” “SUCK!!” Milwaukee gets the better of Sterling, this is quite the losing streak.

But then Truth Magnum & Turbo Floyd make their entrance, and the fans here in The Good Land fire up! Will The Youngest Men Alive keep their ROH win streak alive? Or will Nese & Daivari find a way to go back to back for once?

The teams sort out, Truth and Daivari start, and the Code of Honor is barely upheld. The bell rings, the two circle, and the fans rally up. The fans fire up, Truth DROPKICKS Nese and Turbo DROPKICKS Daivari! Sterling grabs a mic to shout at The Outrunners!

Sterling claims that in Milwaukee, it is illegal to hit dropkicks, “especially when you’re as ugly as you, pal!” The fans boo, but Truth storms out after Sterling! Sterling runs away, but ends up in the ring! Nese uses that to DROPKICK Truth! Nese tags Daivari, they mug Truth, but the ref reprimands. Nese ROCKS Truth again and again, then Daivari shoves Truth down. Daivari soaks up the heat, then hits a NECKBREAKER! Cover, TWO! Truth runs in, but Nese saves Daivari now! Nese ROCKS Truth, shoves Turbo into a THROAT CHOP!

Nese PLANCHAS Truth, and then Daivari puts Turbo on the apron! Turbo RAMS into Daivari, slingshots up and over, but Daivari stays up! He sits on the sunset flip, but he holds the ropes! TWO!! That’s 4-0 for Truth & Turbo, and it’s back to zero days since The Premier Athletes last lost! Will the Outrunners be in the running for an ROH World Tag Team Championship opportunity?

We already saw Evil Uno & Alex Reynolds get even with The Frat House earlier tonight, and now it’s time for them to rebound from that loss. Will The Dark Order finally return to their former glory? Or will Captain Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo simply put them outta their misery with Two 2 Da Head?

The Code of Honor is barely upheld, and then Reynolds starts against “Bad News & Tattoos” Bravo. The bell rings and the fans rally up as the two circle. They tie up, then break. The Infantry took advantage of the distraction, but The Frat House screws over Uno & Reynolds again. Reynolds warns them that this isn’t over. But how can The Dark Order fight against The Frat when they don’t have the Numbers?

ROH Pure Championship: Lee Moriarty VS AR Fox!

While Shane Taylor Promotions is working on taking over all of ROH, the Pure Division has belonged to Lee Moriarty for months now. Will #TAIGASTYLE continue to be the best young technical wrestler in the world today? Or will this soon be the Whole Fox’n Show?

The introductions are made, the belt is raised, and we see who is the most Pure!

Winner: Lee Moriarty, by submission (still ROH Pure Division)

Fox couldn’t help but fall for the trap! Lee continues to be an evil genius, will he continue to paint technical masterpieces until he’s the greatest ROH Pure Champion of all time?

My Thoughts:

A very good ROH that clocked in at just under an hour, and with that there was less filler. Gates of Agony still got a great match out of Deonn Rusman & Cal Bloom (Cal formerly known as Von Wagner), which was also surprising but also great because the GOA get to not just do squash matches. They’re showing their skills by having these longer matches, but I feel like they should be doing that with established teams as well. Like, I appreciate the Outrunners got a win, but if Premier Athletes were going to lose again, feed them to Kaun & Liona so Kaun & Liona can move up the tag ranks.

Very good tag match from Sons of Texas VS Frat House, and very good match of Dark Order VS Infantry. I like that we’re building the feud of Frat House VS Dark Order where they’re costing each other their matches. I can only hope John Silver returns soon, and maybe even brings someone else with him so that we get a proper 4v4 before the end of this. One option would be Stu Grayson having one more match, another would be if they could get Alan Angels, and thirdly is of course recruiting someone brand new.

And very good Pure Championship match, but of course Lee Moriarty won again. It’s always an interesting move when they bring someone who hasn’t had a Pure Rules match into the Pure Rules title scene, but also surprising that Fox held his own for as long as he did. Supercard of Honor is May, who knows if they build someone up for Lee by then, and even then, no idea if they’d win. Honestly, a lot of TK’s energy seems to be focused on pretty much anything other than titles like the ROH Pure Championship. I’m not sure where Red Velvet went, either, she should be building towards a feud for the ROH Women’s World TV title. Problem is, they let Leyla Hirsch go so there goes that feud… But TK’s booking problems is a subject we could go on and on about in other articles.

My Score: 8.7/10
