In this week’s NXT Minus 6, we sing the praises of jobbers, back body drops & getting high.

6. The Street Profits stepped into the wayback machine to take on Deuce & Domino. They’re fun to watch. Street Profits, that is. Montez Ford’s frog splash is insane. The last time I saw someone get that high in the ring, it was Jeff Hardy.

5. It would be easy to clump the jobbers into 1 statement. Easy but unfair. Humberto Carrillo is really talented. I’d rather see him in NXT tagging with Raul Mendoza but wish him well on 205 Live. He and Johnny Takeover put on a hot little match. When a guy is that good, jobber doesn’t automatically mean squash. Speaking of…

4. I’m glad Adrian Jaoude got in some offense against Dominik Dijakovic. The guy has skills & clearly can do more in a ring than get tossed around like a beanbag. I am a little worried about Dijakovic. If he keeps snarling that hard, he’s going to sprain his lip.

3. The War Raiders promo very easily could have taken a turn down the cheese aisle. Fire? Weapons? Ugh. Instead, they turned it into something good and beefy. They do a nice job invoking viking imagery without going full blown viking speak and gnawing on raw chunks of meat. Thank you.

2. Kassius Ohno versus Keith Lee was a tasty appetizer for a main course we probably won’t get. I’d love to see those 2 in a proper match. Hoss versus hoss adds a cool dynamic to otherwise average moves. A back body drop typically doesn’t generate oohs and aahs, unless the guy getting flipped is the size of Ohno.    

1. It’s easy to get hyped for the other matches, but I’m excited for Bianca Belair versus Shayna Baszler. It will be interesting to see how Baszler responds to someone who physically is her equal. I like how they’re setting this up as power versus submission. I expect a great match with a not-clean finish at Takeover: Phoenix. BTW, Voldemort won’t say Shayna Baszler’s name. She is pure evil.
