In a promo for NXT is touting itself as the “No B.S. show.” Of course, one can interpret this as Triple H taking another shot at Cody Rhodes and co. But many fans believe that this was a direct shot to RAW and SmackDown.

So could Triple H be sending a message to his father-in-law Vince McMahon?

RAW and SmackDown have been WWE’s flagship shows for the past two decades. In recent months, the shows have seen a decline in ratings and have come under criticism from fans. The problem with RAW and SmackDown is due to Vince’s creative ideas. Vince is in charge of the shows and he has the final say when it comes to storyline decisions.

Triple H is going to take over when Vince decides to step down. But it doesn’t look like that’s going to happen anytime soon. In recent months, there’s been reports of Triple H being unhappy with the way Vince runs the shows and how the NXT talent are treated on the main roster.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Triple H was taking a jab at Vince during the NXT promo. With NXT now on cable network, many wonder if it’ll have an effect on RAW and SmackDown. While the red and blue brands have improved their storylines in the past few months, viewership is still uneven.

NXT provides fans with plenty of wrestling without long promos or comedy segments, which is a major factor in its success. With NXT giving the fans want they want when it comes to entertainment, RAW and SmackDown will have to up their game.

Triple H has already shown why NXT is on its way to becoming the superior brand. He’s laid down the challenge, now it’s up to Vince and company to prove they have what it takes to make RAW and SmackDown better.
